Monday 04:30hrs: After another abysmal night’s lack of sleep, I gave up. and had, between them, given me the third sleepless night in a row. The Angina was the worst it’s ever been. A series of reasons, of course, are all confusing.

Who can we blame, then?
Well, on first thoughts, they were the people who assured me that they would be handling, ordering, fetching, monitoring and issuing the prescriptions.
But let’s be fair to them. They lost the Carer who did most of the monitoring, that was , taken ill last Monday. The poor lad was going to return today, they thought, but it seems he is still incapacitated. I wish I could contact him to see how he’s going on. Pound to a penny, his Diabetes-2 is involved in some way. (I later found out it wasn’t… Big Gob!)

Did the Doctor inform the pharmacy about the doubling of the Ann Gyna tablets (Omeprazole)? Did the chemist forget about them? Personally, I blame the Parole Board!

After wee-weeing and two, I say two visits in the following fifteen minutes, I got the health Checks done. BP and all that rigmarole.
Oh, dearie, me, back up to Hypertension-2. A shame that. I suspect that the lack of Omeprazole for the Angina and the lack of sleep had some bearing?

Got the blog updated and posted off to WordPress. Then I Pinterested some pictures.

I went to make a brew of Thompson’s Punjana. And took three pictures out of the kitchenette window, which had roughly the same view.
The top one was in Auto+ mode, the second in Auto, and the third one was taken in Night Scene mode
.

None of them came out as I would have liked. And I’ve learnt nothing from this little experiment… Other than when I reach up to turn the window handle, the pain shot right around the back into the… I think the kidney or bowel area.
A quick swearing session and the need for yet another visit to the overused this morning.

The session was again in full control of Trotsky Terence. Got the ablutions done while in there. A stand-up job; too early to use the noisy shower.

Finally got a brew made and got an email that came in from Iceland.

Minutes later, I was back, seated on the Porcelain Throne. A heck of a messy job this one was. I was cleaning it when a carer came in. I asked about the Omeprazole 20mg. But she didn’t know and could not help me get in touch with Richard.

arrived and gave me the medications. We spoke, and she is going to ask about the prescription situation for me.

Then. the DVT Warfarin nurse arrived; it was Hristina.
She soon got the blood taken. The IRN result form has not arrived from last Monday yet – Postal Strike and work to rule in the UK, don’t you know. Railway workers, NHS Nurses and power workers are all to follow. Oh, dear!
That was followed by the Iceland delivery arriving.

I struggled to get the bags into the hallway.

The treat bottles were put in the 1963-built, falling to pieces, Hopewell’s E-Plan Sideboard, with the doors falling off.

A shame Richard has not got back to work, but better safe than sorry.
I still think his Diabetes-2 is part of his problem. All the best to him.
Thanks for caring for me, my mate! Keep safe!

I got the coffee treats and what should have been Richards into the fridge.

If the lad can’t get back to work, I’ll have to hand the burgers and meals to someone else.
Gawd! is persistent this morning! Oh, it’s nearly teatime!
Came back, and she’s got the prescriptions for me. ♥
UNFORTUNATELY: They’s only sent one box of Omeprazole – with a difference. They were 25ml and not 30 like the last ones, white, not yellow, and with a new name;
Lansoprazole”

Came; I can’t remember why.

I had a phone call from Easy-Link to confirm they have booked a lift in the morning at 10:00hrs. For me to go to the Doctor’s. Grrreat!

I got a call from Easy-Link, to confirm the lift in the morning to the Doctors… well, nurses’ appointments at the Surgery.

Better get something to eat, then. Vegan sausages, tomatoes with basil, rolls… I’ll go and see what is available. I made a decent meal, but I took a photo of it, and it is not on the SD card. This is not surprising now, as I found I’d left it on the computer.

Came in. I was still groggy from sleep. But did notice the lad was still not looking or sounding very well. Croaky voice, coughing a lot, too.
He checked on the medical draw, and we spoke a lot..
. but most if what was said had gone into the ether.
I should see him in the morning.

Oh, I’m going to see the nurses Tuesday… pick-up is at 10:00hrs, I mustn’t forget.

04:30hrs: I woke wanting a wee-wee, passed it, and had to go to the . A smidgen messy, but no pain and no hæmatorrhœa.
I cleaned up but had already made plans for the day while seated on the throne. I shall get the sorted out as soon as I’ve finished doing the Health Checks, and then I’ll get the medicationalisationings done.  Owzat then? Me making plans, blimey!

Off to the computer. No tea, no biscuits, no depression, no, and I do believe I may have been humming the Shadows Stars fell on Stockton tune to myself!

Not the result I was hoping for; a rather high Hypertension – Two, close to the (Call 999) stage Three. I blame and all his extra long all day, and noisier-than-ever bursts of clangs, clanks, Tap-tapping, knocking and drilling yesterday for this! Thanks mate!

I did some Pinteresting when I’d done the Health Checks and updated the Thursday blog. I seemed to be doing well this morning the were not playing me up too much – but that was a silly thing for me to say; they can go offline in an instant, and the brain no longer understands the broken messages, and anything can happen then! Wish I’d keep me gob-shut!

The computer was put into sleep mode and off to get them done. I’d taken the camera in with me and took a snap of the legs after I’d stripped off; the one on the right is after the session was completed… And I’d heroically, bravely, boldly and stupidly used you-know-who to get the long diabetic socks on. Yes, I’d utilised the mocking, fearsome, finger bruising, cutting and ripping green goddess known as ! And came out of the battle with only a squashed ! And a rather large was gone into!

The shaving produced only two tiny nicks on the neck. Teggie cleaning did go badly, though. Another lump had detached itself from the left bicuspid and double molar; the blood flowed, and that took me some time to stop. Thus, started! This is because of the Warfarin INR level is high, at 4.4. (3.5 is the target) That’s why the DVT clinic has reduced the dosage again.

Germolened, Germoloided, and oiled the ear holes. And guess what?
, That ignorant slobbovitch from the flat up above kicked off with his banging and knocking again!
I’d had enough to contend with yesterday, over 12 hours of it, and just had to bounce back some similar noises to inform him of the danger he was in.
They were tap-tappings, and I hit the top of the high bookcase with Metal Mickeys’ plastic handle on the hard wooden shelves. Trying to imitate the same amount of bangs (18), I counted.
This did no good, and a few minutes later, they kicked off again. Louder this time, I could clearly hear them without my hearing aids in.
I returned a volley of bangs around the top of the bookcase cabinet, and I kept it up for a few moments. And waited, stick in hand, for the reply… There were many more taps and bangs, but they were all a lot quieter, so fair enough. They stopped after a few minutes. He’s probably going out to see his favourite youngsters with his pressies? I’m dreading the self-centred, impolite, insensitive, disrespectful, snobbish, haughty, pompous, pretentious, uppity, scoffing, contumelious, smart-alecky, ineffable crud-nut coming back.

Got carried away there, sorry…

Was beginning to get a smidgen worse as I exited the wet room – Smelling all nice and fresh, the smell of the medications wafting up my nose. I went into the junk room to select the day clothes… and…
acci-whoop ! As I was reaching at full tilt to get the jumper from the clothes racking,  presented me with one heck of an . Short & sharp, but it had over, and I fell into the clothes and slid gently to the floor! Breaking a few clothes hangers in the process and landing on the right knee, which did not please .
The hobble on my hands and knees out into the hallway, into the front room, and the struggle to get myself upright using the weight of the recliner took a long time, but I did it. How things were going, a .
I was not hurting, apart from . But that was nothing to do with the tumble.
I soon recovered, and I made my way to the kitchenette to get the kettle on to make a brew of Glengettie.

The red line on the horizon caught my attention, and I went for the Lumix camera. It was misty, so not the best of conditions, but it still looked good to me.
Then I took a shot of the bottom field with the frost still not melted. There were many seagulls about circling and threatening, zooming low. Had they seen a rat, cat or lone dog that they often make a meal of? I missed them all in the photo but caught some a few minutes later.
Took a photo of the drug-dealers house street. You can see which it is by the lack of frost and snow on the roof; no doubt they are growing cannabis or whatever in the loft, hence it being the only house with the attic being heated?

Took another shot of the horizon.

Then one of the Winwood Heights car parking on Chestnut way. Oh... I caught some of the seagulls on their breakfast safari in this one. Hehehe!
I made up some waste bags. The nice gentleman in the flat above me offered some accompaniment for me.
This time the tap-tapping was almost musical? The uncommunicative: laconic, taciturn, aloof, Laodicean, reticent, stoical, unruffled, equanimous, unclubbable, unforthcoming, stand-offish, unapproachable, haughty chap, was producing some good stuff, I thought.
A piacere, which, considering he was only using what sounded like a sledgehammer and mallet (Maybe a nail hammer as well),  was pretty impressive. I was just getting into it, and he stopped.

I must go on the web to try to find some cartoons to use over the next few days. I may have to stop suddenly. For I have the Amazon deliveries that are due today, and they are currently (0335hrs) being given an ETA of twixt 03:40 > 0640hrs. Which possibly means it will be here by 22:00hrs or tomorrow.

Weary, tired, computer off.

Woke me up. Issued Peptac, checked taps and stove. Had a mini-natter. Took bags And amazon boxes with her.

Woke up by the kind, caring, sympathetic noisy  Git-in-the-flat-above, Herbert. Knock, knocking for a while.

Woke me up. Meds issued. Mini natter enjoyed.

21:45hrs: Woke up to some strange different noises from the Management protected and defended, unneighbourly, superior-natured Gentleman in the flat above. Not sure what caused them, a sort of chugging sound?

22:10hrs: Ah, that’s better, back to his regulation mode of tap-tapping, with the odd clunk thrown in for good measure.

I kept trying to fall asleep again but ended up turning on the TV. Ah, that did it! Zzz!

01:30hrs: With a jerk, jump and shock! Not the foggiest idea what had caused this rude awakening? but it buggered me up, and I spent the next four hours or so desperately trying to get back to sleep – No chance until about 05:00hrs. Off into bliss!

05:20hrs: I more or less erupted into wakefulness.
I was half over the edge of the cushion on the second-hand, £300, charity shop bought, incommodious, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, bacillus encouraging,  Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner.
For this, I blame the nightmare I was having, the slippery materialed new dressing gown I had on… and I might as well blame as well. Oh, and myself, I suppose!
.

Although, is yet another possible (definite) reason for my poorlier than it should be, health. Nicknamed Herbert’s real name is John, I think, the protected from criticism, imperviable to criticism, animadversion or condemnations. A superior acting gentleman,  urchin. An untouchable, pompous, arrogant elitist!. He’s not a nice person to those he’s making life a misery for with his constant everyday noise-making. Made invulnerable and defended by those in control of the Independent Living Organisation. I pray I do not meet him face to face ever again… I’ve never ever lost control physically… yet! Doing so could well see me off – but he is seeing me off slowly with his grinding, tap-tapping, drillings and knockings every single day! Such a supercilious sod.

I think there’s just a minimal iota of an idea, that he may be getting to me?... Hehehe!

I imagine that the Famously Murderous Parole Board will be releasing both of these criminals… well, animals, at the earliest opportunity to kill again?

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

03:30hrs: I stirred, with a degree of hesitation, a definite desire not to get up and face the world. A reluctance like never before. Indeed, I tried to get back to sleep – but the inevitable need for a wee-wee, followed by the almost thrice-hemerine Porcelain Throne visit, forced the removal of my elephantine body from the grasp of the second-hand, £300, charity shop-bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, bacillus encouraging, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner. And off to the wet room.

The evacuation started as usual of its own accord. But it stopped part the way through the process.
So I got the crossword book out. I’ve lost the one I was using but found this one when I was sorting a drawer out. Much more my cup of tea this one. It was published in 1969, and is great; Cause the questions about sport and actors and like, I can remember from so long ago, and I got a few answered. . In fact, I got into it and forgot I waiting for the evacuations to restart. Hehehe!

EyeDropsHad a quick wash and clean up.

Put the olive oil in the ear holes, and I sprayed some of the eye drops around the chin, moustache and mouth… I doubt if any actually made it into the eye and used up the last it. Two more need to be ordered. But what are the odds of me remembering? Not too good, methinks.
I got the spy-glass to check on the urine colour. Not too good today, rated as a six on the NHS chart.
Which reminded me to get the Health Checks done. But not before I made a brew of Glengettie to stir my mind and body. (Well, it sounded good?) Haha!
I put a potato in the crock pot as I was mashing the tea.
Added some liquid smoke, sea salt and vinegar to the water.
Made the tea and got the computer on the go.
I received a long email from Lis-Petal, and replied to it, trying to cover everything she mentioned. She really is such a caring Angel ♥.

Minutes after getting this done declared the arrival of my mate and . I turned to welcome him with a handshake. Before, I stood a very-poorly, shouldn’t be at work, lad! Well, man! His voice was croaky and weak; he was red-faced, coughing, and looked so weak. His actions and reactions were slower than usual, too.
Poor Richard, he just gets his Diabetes level down, and this, whatever it is, hits him. Much as I’ll miss him if he does go sick, I hope he’ll be alright and recovers soon. But he didn’t look good at all. He’ll struggle to get back t work,  I think.
So unfair to him. A man who had helped me more than anyone goes sick. This is worrying for me. I walked to the door with him, tried to look and sound unworried for him, but don’t think I managed it.

Got a text from Asda. According to this, there are no changes or substitutions on today’s order? Never been known before – surely I misread it?

Got on with updating the Monday blog and posted it off. Took me a lot longer than it should have, and I made more mistakes to correct than ever before. And I’m sure many errors got through despite my hours spent adjusting things.

I need to get the Ablutions done, but there isn’t time now, as the delivery could arrive soon.

arrived. Gave me the Peptac. I checked the list of Christmas pressies given, but Sam was not on it. She is now.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY so far. The Asda order arrived. It was a big one, and the deliveryman saw how I was struggling and took the food through to the kitchen for me in his baskets, cramming the food where he could find room to.
Nice gesture; he was off in no time.
Getting the stuff put away took me two hours – Honestly! The Christmas treat bottles for the Carers arrived, and I’d just given the last of the others to Sam. Got them in the cupboard under the computer, so the others can take a pick their choice.
The Microwave had almost been covered with food. Hehe!
Glad to say the Marmite Cashew nuts have arrived, and the personal treats for Christmas for myself, the tasty but naughty Lotus-Biscoff Biscuits, all come as well.
The only room on the sink side was used up as well.
BBQ beans. The 7-Vegetable roasted Mediterranean sauce. Passata with basil. Soft drinks for the Carers thank you’s. More BBQ sauce, Korean this time; I hope it’s not too hot?
And from the one box, BBQ sauce, more veg sauce, orange cordial, and the BBQ Beans Micro Grain that I enjoyed so much last week. The Winiary Przyprawa seasoning that I’m trying for the first time. I couldn’t read the contents even with the spyglass – so I looked it up on the web.
It seems it is an alternative to Soya sauce, vegan & vegetarian. An alternative to Maggi, it says. The ingredients are WATER, Salt, Flavour Enhancers (Monosodium Glutamate, Disodium ‘5 Ribonucleotides), Vinegar, Glucose, and Flavourings (with Celery). I wonder what the secret flavourings are?
I might try a splash of it tonight with my BBQ beans, vegetable and potato meal? Or not? Worraya fink?

The sauce cupboard got special attention today.
The Polish sauce was used on the potatoes in the Crock-Pot. It was similar tasting to Worcester Sauce.
The BBQ sauces should last me a while. I seem to a have had a moment when I ordered them… I may have overdone it a fraction in ordering so many bottles.
I think I was dithering over which brand to get and seemed to order every type they had in stock? And why sweet pickle? I don’t even like it!

Well, blow me down with a feather duster! Who ordered the naughty cream cakes?
Surely not me? Did I? No, it must be a mistake!
Shame I didn’t notice it at the time. I would have sent them back if I had, of course.

I belatedly got the tackled.

Well, when I got the results from the NHS Analyser, I was well leased and over the moon.
But it made me think of the poor  this morning.
I’m fretting now for him. Whatever bug has got him, he needs to have it checked out: that’s what he would have told me to do. Might even be Covid, Flu or associated with his Diabetes – 2? It’s knocked him for six, no question about it. In a way, I’d be happy to see him taking time off to get it sorted. Which, in itself, means I can’t get in touch to try to see how he is going. Poor lad. Oh, the Health Checks (I wondered off-plot there for a moment)
.
Well, as you can see, I’m back down in the HIGH-NORM Zone. That’s four times on this chart!

Now for the Ablutionalisationings. I have to admit to a little bit of apprehensiveness about this. I don’t think I’ve mentioned it yet, but I had two bad bouts earlier and three bad incidents. The last one was while I was putting stuff in the freezer from Asda. Had I not been in that spot when it came, I could have taken a fall and landed forward on the floor. Luckily my landing against the fridge was far less hazardous. So, I’m going to take my time in the shower and try to keep near the grab rail. Also, be weary when shaving and dressing. This could take some time, but I’m not bothered, let it. Better safe than sorry.
Back in a bit… I hope, Har-har!
.
I was right; it was a long job. The shaving produced a few minor cuts, that took a while to stop bleeding this time. The Warfarin INR level is far too high, meaning the blood is thinner.
The teeth cleaningGC broken tooth caused more bleeding than ever before.
This is partly due to the teeth rotting and breaking and the high INR level.

The thing I was worried about, the showering, was Dizzy Dennis-free! Just the one head-butting of the power box, which was nothing serious.
Drying off afterwards, I cleared about 30% of the items on the top of the floor cabinet!
I got them back on again, much to the discomfort of .
I lost a little of the olive oil, and unfortunately, I trod on the tube of Germoloid and lost some as it squirted out. A shame because this is my last tube. !

I took an accidental shot as I was putting the camera down.
The flash activated and gave me a dazzling shaving mirror.
It’s the only mirror in the flat. When you look like me, it’s best not to demoralise yourself by looking at a reflection
of a senile old man looking back at you. Hehe!
My noisy neighbour above started drilling and clanging at something or other. I’m sure it was coming from straight above, but may have been repairmen working?

I then had to again utilise the . A decent evacuation, even if a bit messy.
Went to pick up hearing aids to put them in… and PLOP!
No more needs to be said other than maybe !!!

Another half-hour lost cleaning things up! Grumph!
I finished the medicationalisationings and got dressed.
acci-whoopBut guess what I did wrong… I got into the morning clothes and not the night attire!

After spending about two hours in total up to this point in the wet room,  then had to get out of the clothes I’d just struggled to get into, the jammie-bottoms, nightshirt, night socks and dressing gown.
However, I did manage to get the socks on without using the dreaded, deadly assured of being injured by .
But was injured by my losing my balance and hitting of all things to hit… my , on the corner of the floor cabinet as I went down on one knee, caused by a short attack from , just as I had one leg up off of the floor (talk about timing!) and setting off !!!
I suppose I ought to be glad I didn’t get a

I got the BBQ beans in the pan, and I added half a jar of 7-Meditterrraean roasted vegetable sauce and gently heated it up slowly, stirring all the time. Well, not all the time, cause I had to go back to the wet room for a quick wee-wee…
I found I’d left the sink tap running! , I’m not doing very well here, am I?
I got the meal served up. I had the potato from the crock pot sliced with the beans. And four of the part-cooked mini roll, oven-baked for six minutes.
Flavour-Rating 8.8/10. The rolls were delicious! I gave them a quick spray with some olive oil when I put them in the oven.

Sacrosanct Herbert was back to his usual concert of mechanical noises.
The tap-tapping with the occasional cappella solo.
And it was lovely. Even if I was missing my favourite ‘Heartbeat programme on the TV. Hehe!
Played and woke me up, and in came . I was very slow-witted and tired. It may sound odd, but doing ablutions with all the attached Whoopsiefangleploppery, Accifauxpas and cock-ups, I believe, took a lot out of me. Poor old sausage! Hahaha!
I did remember to check if she’d had her Christmas bottle of choice yet, and she had not – So she took her fancied pick. I think we had a natter, but what about escapes me… No, it doesn’t! It’s come back to me! It was about the poor . The lad has gone home due to his state of health. Oh, I do hope he’ll be alright! Carolynne departed after checking the taps and cooker, taking the waste bag with her. Nice gal! I locked the door.

I nodded off to sleep with relative ease. But it didn’t last. Back to the lousy fitful jumping awake and struggling to get back to sleep repeatedly! Harrumph!

05:30hrs: I stirred, and as I began to move, I could have sworn that the room was full of people who stood around drinking, like at a party around me! Oower!.
The images faded. Mayhap they were part of a dream I’d been having? Or not.

I found the readings from last night’s Health Checks; they were stuck in my protection Pants when I took a wee-wee. (Don’t ask, please!) I put them in the NHS Analyser and got these figures. Same for 3 days now.
Off to the wet room again to utilise the . All went well. A painless, bloodless and mess-less evacuation!
Emptied, cleaned and sanitised the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket).

acci-whoop I got some spuds sorted for the crock-pot. Rubbed in some Ben’s smoke flavouring, let it soak in, and placed the dish on top of the microwave for later use.
But forgot all about these until I spotted them several hours later.

I went all industrial and work-ethically minded; when I remembered Sister Janet and Brother-in-Law Pete were coming later.
I got the wines I’d been getting for over the last year and got them in the box.
The top one was all wines. Well, they do love them!
The bottom box had some spirit mixers, Glengettie tea bags and some other stuff; the Dementia Doreen had already made me forget the contents within. Da Bitch!
Next, I tackled a bit of cleaning up on the mini-hallway.
Not a hard job. And it took me only half an hour or so.
But Anne Gyna was not pleased with me in the slightest… in fact, she got rather nasty with me. Even gave me a few stabs of pain in the outer ribs, which meant she was really angry with me for doing all the bending down.
The short-lived domesticalisationing period was abandoned after this.

I went back onto the computer and replied to the mass of comments that had come in for me on WordPress. I answered them both. I got a text message as I was doing the comment replying; it was from Iceland. They had some products unavailable and three substituted. Took a look at the email link, and no problem with them this time. Returned to the comments and got them finished.

I had an instant, no-warning arrack from Dizzy Dennis. I’ve been free of these for months now, so it came as a bit of a shock. Short and sharp, but during those few minutes, it was impossible to stand up safely. Mmm?

Once able to, I rose and went in to make a few of Thompson’s Punjana tea.
I took the first photo through the kitchen window.

Then noticed the snow on the roofs of the nearer houses.

It was not thick, more like a dusting that was in the process of defrosting as the day moved on.

I took a few more shots of the streets, ways and avenues housing.

The next to the last, the penultimate picture going downwards… I’m waffling again, am I not? Sorry.

Anyway, Devonshire looked like it had plenty of Saturday workers living there.
The drive lines in the road showed signs of tyre tracks.

Some coming home, and others leaving for work.

The final shot was a great disappointment to me. I noticed the moon had come through the moving clouds, and I retrieved the put-away Lumix camera to take a shot of the moon. But it didn’t get through the clouds again. Grumph!
Later on, when putting the photographs onto CorelDraw, the 4th down shot appealed to me as a possible competition for this blog. It doesn’t seem a good idea now, but it did then.

It was the Iceland delivery arriving. The driver kindly dumped the carrier bags in the doorway for me and shot. But he did first, move the heavier ones, containing the last of the collection for a year’s wines for Sister Jane and Brother-in-Law Pete for Christmas.

The size of the slotted cream shortcake biscuits I bought was amazing! See the comparison of the size against the stove and hob.

I also bought a tub of nibbles for the Carer’s party at Christmas. That was bigger than I thought it would be, too… but not as colossal as the Shortbreads were. Hehe!

Next photo, the vegan stuff is for me, the others as treats and thank yous.
I used to love those chicken frankfurters, but I had no temptations to have any. Well, I did, but I resisted them!

I’d got some Spring Water, 4×2 litres, as last year in December, they became hard to get. So this year might be worse? Sliced Wholemeal cobs, or bread rolls, and some self-treats. Jacob’s Leicester cheese crackers! Yee-Haa!

I got the Friday blog finished and posted. To the accompaniment of Herbert’s clang, tap tapping.

Things suddenly became hectic!
Jane & Pete arrived. They didn’t have a lot of time, and I wanted to take a photo of them to put on this blog. Once we started talking I forgot all about the picture taking (Afterwards, this made my blood boil with self-hatred for forgetting to!)
arrived. Now I had three voices to confuse me…
Then or turned up. I was in a mental pickle. Unsure of what happened then, but I recall going to the elevator to speak to Jane & Pete and thinking I’d forgotten why… no, I’m sure I forgot. I was well-confused by then.

Ah, yes, I recall it now; we (Jan, Pete and me) went on the balcony; Pete said they had to park at the end of the buildings. I suggested we take a photo of it. I did it on the Lumix, and Pete used his Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, £2005 mobile

Well, well, well, the internet is down, I’m all confused about everything, Ann Gyna is giving me some… and now Herberts started off again! Never a dull moment at number 72! Hehehe!

Arrived while I was watching the England v France match. We both agreed that it was a fix. The ref had definitely been bribed to ensure the French animals got away with foul and foul, and he booked the English players as well.
Our missed penalty, by, of all people, Harry Kane, was a heart-breaker.
The poor chap must be devastated.
Losing to the French is never easy.
This time, it could have a crippling effect on the player’s morale.
Not that France needed to play so dirty, they could have won without the help of the obviously back-handed bent referee. They are a good enough team.

Woke at 07:20ish hrs: After what must have been one of the worst nights ever, for the repetitive nodding-off and jarringly springing waking again, minutes later!
Pains from and the bladder side of the stomach. This had me a smidgeon worried!
announced the arrival of , who seemed up for it, until the yawning began. He’s struggling to get sleep the same as I am. poor lad.
Richard got the medications given and went to check the non-prescription drawer for out-of-date products. Which resulted in two, I say two 15l carrier bags of stuff to throw away! He’s a good lad to me!
I had to nip into the wet room for the third wee-wee of the morning. The precious ones were flowing decently; this one was back to having to force things out and getting only a sprinkling… but this time with a difference. The stink was the worst I’ve ever smelt in 76 years of weeing! It was repugnant!
Not that I understand much about it, but I got the idea that now the flowing was starting again, the old stored liquid in the bladder may have been being forced out?
I mentioned it to Richard, who smiled and said I know. I smelt it and heard you cursing about it, talking to yourself! It really annoyed you didn’t it? I’ve never heard you swear so much! He was spot-on the button with his comment. Hehe!
I really thought the urine infection was on its way back.
Richard departed with the two bags of out-of-date medications and two bags of general waste with him for me. Richard even made me a brew of tea! He may call on me for the late check visit but was not sure. I hope he does, he always does his best to cheer me up and have a smile or two, and that’s precious! However tired he is.

As I got back to get the spud in the slow cooker, Herbert, my noisy neighbour above, started his bang-banging. I wonder what he’s making today?
I got to drinking the mug of tea that Richard made for me and gave me a good shake. Thus I spilt the mug of tea… she’s been so kind lately as well, but she caught me out this time. I swore, cleaned up the mess and made another one.
I took these shots of the view from the kitchen window while waiting for the kettle to boil again.

The top one had the moon just disappearing from view on the horizon. Why it came out so dark. I know not.

The second one was a mystery to me? How that one came out so light is another mystery to me!.

The third one came put as it looked to the eyes. The bottom field with the housing at the back, no wonder the frost, according to the computer, was -2°c!

The last one was another disappointment. I tried to brighten it a bit, but I ended up with a white sky, and still, the houses were unclear? .
started off next. But this didn’t bother me too much because the pains from the bladder seemed to be lessening. What’s going on in there?
Herbert went into another bout of almost musical banging about. I think he dropped a sledgehammer at one time. Hope he’s not injured himself at all.

It took me a long time, but I got the Tuesday blog updated and sent off to WordPress. Then, during an hours-worth run of wee-wee taking, I got the Pinteresting of some photos done.
WordPress Template preparing next. That went well. Then made a start on this blog.
arrived but did not press the door chime. I pointed this out to him, and we had a laugh about it. Made my point that I could have been using the bucket and needed to know when someone was about to come in to give myself time to shout not to come in yet. Still, a nice lad. We had a little natter and a laugh.

Ah, well, back up to Stage Two Red Hypertension again. Can’t win ’em all, can you? Well, I can’t. Hehe! It’ll be lower tomorrow, just you see! EQ told me, that he is rarely wrong.

Was getting noisy again. This time I replied with a clout of two of my own on the top of the high bookcase, but only the same amount of bangs and thuds that he’s sent down to me over the next few minutes. Not that it stopped his banging about, of course. Thud, clunk…

announced the arrival of . She told me the fire alarm was going off, but I could not hear it in the flat.
She issued the medications, and I asked her to check the taps for me on leaving. But I wouldn’t let her go until she told me the fire alarm had finished.
we took this photo of an engine sown below outside. Others arrived later.
The alarm was still ringing ten minutes later. A live one, mayhap, this time?
Carolynne and I went out into the flats’ lobby. I could hear the alarm going out there. I opened the door a bit, and both of us could smell burning!
I told her to come back into the flat until the alarm stopped. Which she did.
As we were both coming in, she said the alarm had stopped. Off she went. I hope the lifts were working again for her; I imagine they would have been turned back on now the alarm had stopped.

The temperature now showing is minus 1°c. I wonder why it keeps changing from Celsius to Fahrenheit?  Hello, it’s just changed to a snow warning icon?

There’s scum, and there is Scum. The lousy inhuman SCUM that can do this without checking or getting help, should be hung! Then again, I truly think that Parole Board members who free convicted killers to kill again should be hung as well.
I wonder what the shitbag’s reasons were? In a stolen car? No insurance? No licence? Wanted on a warrant? Drink driving? Or maybe all of these things.
I bet the judge lets them off with a dangerous driving charge.
Some smart-arsed lawyer will earn his money defending them and conning the condemnable judges in which we are supposed to have faith and belief. Until your daughter is killed by them again, as the overpaid pathetic Parole Board sets them free early on licence… Grrr!

Better get something to eat, then. Oh, I’ll check to see if any new figures have come through for Covid for Nottingham first. Aha, got to these numbers through the Nottingham Evening Post’s links. Not sure of the period it covers, but is the latest one on it.

Hello, hello, hello!
and . Is this not a Boll-Weevil I have on my finger?
Gawd Blimey, please say no; I don’t want an infestation of them again!
This one was on the draining board in the kitchen. I shall keep my eyes peeled while making the meal for any more of the little blighters! Oh, please, no!

Oh, heck, I missed these pictures I took during the day.

The top one looks like late afternoon.

The middle one this morning?

Well, I think it was. Maybe, perhaps, possibly, mayhaps, presumably. in all likelihood and possibility, taking all things into consideration, it’s likely that I may be right or wrong…

The evening and last one, I think I took whilst  (I’m almost sure) was here with the fire engine viewing.

Of course, it could have been anytime, really.

This time, I must get the food prepped. A simple fayre for a simpleton fella! Cottage pie, the slow-cooker cooked for wight-hours big potato, with liquid smoke added to the spud, and BBQ sauce to the cottage pie. I don’t ask a lot... I don’t get much, either. Hahaha! But I did enjoy this dishful and the following Vegan Soya lemon yoghourts.

I then launched into mission-impossible mode! Trying to get to sleep and stay asleep. It was a bridge too far, an extremely difficult, nay, impossible, unattainable, forlorn, unexcogitable, hopeless task! I got the pots washed, and checks were done.

Within minutes of getting settled in the £300, used, second-hand shop bought nine years ago, c1966, discomfiting, alarmingly Kari-beige coloured, crumb containing, TV remote hiding, not working recliner, I floated off into what I thought was going to be, a deep sleep.

acci-whoop A few minutes later, I woke up calmly. (No jerking a jumping at all!) That was the end of my kipping!
My body was telling me I needed sleep. But, it was not to be.
I even put the TV on in hopes of the averts helping me to drop off. It didn’t help!
I lay there hoping, praying and swearing to myself, for Gawd knows how many hours.
Then around 07:10hrs in the morning, rang out and almost reluctantly, I limped to the door to let in.

HUMPH!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

04:55hrs: I woke up for what must have been the 20th time overnight and decided to give up trying to sleep and get up.
The instant I rose onto my feet, a giddy spell developed, and at the same time, I realised I was not in full control of things in my head. A confusing babble of thoughts raced to and fro. I think I did the right thing; I sat down and let Dementia Doreen have her run. As it happened, she or whatever the cause, was bringing forth ideas, regrets, guilt, mistakes etc., so fast, I was barely bothered by it.
But it left me struggling to concentrate for a few hours.
Some things seemed foreign to me, not everything to mind. I can recall, over the next hour, a few incidents, which I’ll share with you, and the Dementia nurse when I see her again. If I remember! I had three trips to the Porcelain throne in about 15 minutes. On the first, I actually had to think where the flush was and was physically reaching up for a second to pull the nonexistent chain?
On the last call, when I decided to put some olive oil in the ears, I could not pick up the bottle. No reason at all for this, as far as I could tell. I just could not grab the bottle? Seconds later, I tried again, and no problem, all back to usual?
I really want to tell the nurse and Carer Richard about this; it was so weird. I’ll tell Richard he can pass it on if he sees the nurse again.
I felt disorientated for a time.

As I was making up the waste bags, I stopped to take some photographs from the kitchen window. I suppose because the scene looked so beautiful. Yet no different than usual, well, it was to me.

Then I forgot all about the waste bin bagging and found myself putting the laundry to go into the big bag.

I went to get the kettle on and realised I’d left the flipping tap running again! My self-hating and inner lambasting erupted.
Worran, odd morning.
♫Things Ain’t Wot They Used To Be♫.

Made a brew and checked that the Georges-Asda dressing gowns were still coming. George’s says delivery today, but the transport company (Hermes, I think) only say estimated to come today? Not another Amazon-like farce, Please!

Arrived. Helped me with the computer order and Amazon cock-up.
Didn’t take the waste bags with him. Got him all day today, clever lad.

Updated the Friday WordPress blog. Went on WP comments. Then Pinterested some photos.

Arrived, but I forgot to ask him to take the waste bag again. He departed, leaving it on the box in the hallway near the door.

I was so tired. But had to try to stay awake in case Hermes delivered the dressing gowns. (Ha!) What a dreamer this idiotic, retarded, in-pain, beyond-help, uneducated, bald, large right testicled, mentally and physically crumbling old-timer is!

Euthanasia comes to mind.

As I was taking these pictures of the brightest part of the day, and I thought pretty too…
A vicious tummy ache started. Bladder side. And I am now worried, as I was of writing this at 19:35 hours, it is still giving me some stick. Getting no easier, despite taking extra Peptac. This is not good. I fear the wrist alarm may have to be activated if it gets worse.

A MURDER INVESTIGATION
AFTER A MAN WAS FOUND DEAD WITH STAB WOUNDS

Somehow headlines like these in Nottinghamshire shock us less and less.
As usual for the Nott’s Police, out goes an appeal for anyone who caught the scene on their car cams. Anyone passing by noticed anything unusual.
CCTV, dash-cam footage.

It appears the Police have arrested a woman and are questioning her.
That’s good.

I wonder if it was what they call a domestic?
Will a lawyer be building a defence at this moment?
Wife beating? Mental Stress, did the man drink at all or take drugs?
Whichever, the Parole Board will free them early.

Arrived and did the medications. didn’t stay to make sure I took the Peptac. Didn’t do any tap checks or take the waste bag with him. I know I’m right about this; because the bag was still there in the hallway, and… when I went to wash the Peptac pot…
I FOUND THE HOT WATER TAP I’d left RUNNING. Hot water, stone cold. Mess on the floor and counter.
Not my day, is it?

20:25hrs: Got a text message coming in on my mobile. Which depressed me so much.
Just like the messages from Amazon started. False promises? They went on for five weeks after the assured delivery date.
I thought with George-Asda offering a one-day delivery for an extra £4.95 or whatever it was, would assure me of getting a shower and shave and having something clean to wear, like a dressing gown. So I paid up, full of confidence in the superior service of Georges…
After waiting in all day with no TV on so I could hear the intercom buzzing when the delivery arrived. (Yes, I still thought it would arrive. What a burke!
I spent hours fighting off and falling asleep. Then the stomach ache started, and Carer Ty failed to do the tap-running checks. I found after he’d gone, I’d left the hot tap running again, a mess to clean up – Ah, all that bending might have started the stomach off? I wonder if the dressing gowns will come with the Asda food order in the morning?

Arrived for the last short safety checks and gave me a Paracetamol to counter the tummy pains. Which I do believe are getting less severe now? A little natter and treats selected, at my insistence. ♥

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE NEWS SNIPPETS

Another punk who can’t hold his beer.
Chittock; is a suitable name for a Shithead wino.

What a cowardly bully he obviously is.
Blaming things on his drinking, thus getting the sympathy of the port drinking judges, judging by the pathetic sentence they gave this animal?

Now we await the Parole Boards scumbag’s decision to free Chittock early on licence. Will he do a year, even?

Well, I can’t get a wash and shave, no hot water.
But I can get down in the second-hand, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe-producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, bacillus encouraging, blown-up testicle-squashing incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner, and pray for sleep.
So, I did!

Gave up and made a meal. A can of Chilli-con-carne, with some roast vegetable sauce, added. I heated two cobs in the oven and had a pot of the soya lemon yoghourt.

Very nice, too. Taste: 7.4/10.

I was just nodding off and chimed out, and the late safety-check Carer called. I’d forgotten about that!
It was . Nice to see her. Told her about the stomach cramps, and she gave me a Paracetamol with the Peptac.  Selected a treat, and I went with her to lock the front door as she left.

Sleep came quickly enough, but yet again, the jumping awake throughout the night pestered me.

Still not doing very well, am I? Hehehe!

06:30hrs: The eyes popped open. The brain refused to engage a gear, I think. Because I found myself wee-weeing, then sorting the bins out, making up waste bags… then sitting on the Porcelain Throne. All within 30 minutes!
Washed and refreshed, I got the computer going and got the worked out.
Adding up to the NHSS analyser placing me in the Hypertension-1 Red area.

Which was not bad, looking at the previous week’s returns.

I see there is a good mix in levels recently: I make it 3x High Norms, 1x Hyper Three The highest),  1x Hyper Two, and 2x Hyper Ones.
The Normal one on Thursday stands out like a sore thumb.
Today’s Hyper-One was very close to being a High-Norm,
So no complaints there!
Well, it had to happen again. Virgin Media went Down! Didn’t it, Mr $26 million a year salaried boss of Global-Liberty Fries, who bought Virgin Media and told the customer call centre staff in England,  never to mention Liberty Global to customers!

There has to be something dodgy about this, surely? Financial wizardry? Money-Laundering? (The act of engaging in transactions designed to obscure the origin of money that has been obtained dodgily). Figure manipulating? The ulterior motive that will lead to bigger profits? Deceitfulness? Deception? Dishonesty?, Dissimulation?  Double-dealing? Hocuspocus?, maybe Jiggery-pokery?
Why pay $24b to buy a company just to run it into the ground? I wonder if Liberty-Global’s lesser financiers in the insurance business are involved somewhere along the line?
No, I’m not jealous of the man just because he gets a ridiculous amount in salary and guaranteed bonuses, even an unmonitored expense account. Nor that he is totally incapable of running an internet service that may manage a day without going offline. Or that he keeps putting up the prices to customers. then advertises his business as ‘Super-Fast’, ‘Most Reliable’ etc.

Arrived without pressing the door chime. I asked her to do so in future, please, nicely like, and explained why. She said she would when the reasons were given to her; bless her. We had a mini-natter and laugh, and off she trotted.

Ah, Liberty-Global Virgin Media came back online. Don’t anyone tell Fries, though; someone at Virgin may get into trouble for doing something right! We can’t have competent people working at Liberty-Global; it’s not natural.

I made an Asda order for Sunday delivery. This should give me time to sort out Richards in thanks treats, so he can have them on Monday morning.
I even managed to find the ‘No Substitutes’ page and used it for most of the items.
As I was closing the site, I espied a link to Georges Clothing, so went on to investigate if they had any dressing gowns in stock. I feel awful about wearing the one warm one I have left on for so long.
Of course, if the ones I ordered from Amazon had arrived, there would have been no need to get any others, but they haven’t. Before having a look, I checked on Amazon to see if there was any chance of them arriving.
Nope, but they did say it was the Post Office worker’s actions that were delaying the gowns from arriving.
Also, I couldn’t cancel the order until I had contacted the seller? Swine!
So I contacted them via the link on the page. Explaining that I’d had to buy some elsewhere, so wish to cancel the order.
So having contacted the seller, I went to cancel the order on Amazon.
I got the above answer; If the seller does not resolve the issue within 48 hours of your first message, you can revisit this page to ‘Check’ if you are eligible to ‘Request’ an A-Z Guarantee refund.
This stinks! Note the ‘to see if you are eligible… I’m not going to get a refund or the bloody dressing gowns at this rate – and still, I can’t cancel the order! Which Amazon has taken the money for!

Arrived. She was busy on the mobile, trying to get help for a previous client from Nottingham City Homes. No problem with that. She got the medications sorted and gave me help with the Amazon issue; bless her ♥. Got the refund from the supplier!  We had a little natter and laugh, and I insisted on her treat in thanks for being chosen.

I updated the Google Calendar with the two deliveries coming, the dressing gowns and the Asda food order.

Got an imitation beef pie in the oven cooking.
Chips in curry in the microwave.
Made a meal of sorts, and with the two last slices of wholemeal bread and a pot of soya lemon mousse, I tucked into it.
I enjoyed it, too, for once.
Flavour rating: 7/10.

Four years? Bearing in mind his history of armed robbery, is this a deterrent or Present for him? And what a mitigating statement from Raglan Ashton to read to the court, and still he gets only four years. Look at him! ZZZz... But too many springing awakes.

05:20Hrs: I woke up with the guilt of poor Carer Richard going with me today to the Hospital. It makes sense, I know; he is the only person on this planet that can answer the questions the nurse will ask. He was so kind to offer to go. Especially after he’s just finishing four tours of duty. But I know how tired the lad can get without this extra, but that’s Richard for you. Not that any of this assuages my feelings of putting on him. After stewing in my guilt and appreciation for a few minutes, I decided to get my lumbering-elephantine body out of the recliner and get the ablutionalisationing done straight away. That was the plan!

Scenario: Dark, no RV or computer on, but a strange light from the kitchen was clearly visible, even to me, as I approached the open room door… Dang, Dang… Dang-Dang!
As I looked to my right into the kitchenette, a narrow red-yellow light beam hit me from within the room!  To all intents and purposes, it was a single eye, located head-height and piercing. It was completely dark otherwise. That must have helped with the illusion, too).

I suppose I had some help in getting confused from my ailments,, and , and getting misled.
For a second or so, I believed there was a possibility of a one-eyed intruder standing in the kitchen. “Go on, have a laugh” Hehehe! I did after I got the light on.

At that moment, it reminded me of a science fiction film of old, I forget the title. An alien who had a giant robot to protect him? Not that it would have fitted into my kitchenette anyway, but it did cast a deadly ray of the same colour that disintegrated tanks in New York. Did somebody Renee or Rennie star in it?
Anyway, as I got the light switched on, I realised that it was from the fridge door that I’d left open last night.
I’d stacked some food around it (the fridge light), including a pot of orange and raspberry-flavoured jelly. The light was altered into a beam as it went through… I did feel like a fool. Nothing new there, then!

The first noticeable thing was as I was going to get my feet into the bowl. It was amazing how the left leg was tiny-thin compared to the right one? A different colour too? Erm?

Apart from losing ten minutes searching for the toothbrush (it was underneath the trolley), a couple of hardly worth-mentioning shaving cuts, and a door shoulder charge on leaving the room. All went well. Even the getting the socks on and medicationalisationing.

I worked it out so that I might just have time to get the Wednesday blog finished (not a lot to do on it) before I needed to get the things sorted out for today’s visit to the Coppice Hospital. And yes, I even got that done as well!
So, a scare of sorts; that turned out to be a humorous incident. Great ablution session and the best bash on the blog I’ve had for months? A phenomenal start to the day!

THE TRIP TO THE COPPICE HOSPITAL

Arrived, having just completed his fourth tour of duty. Instantly my guilt returned.
It was a weird sensation; I was so pleased to see him, shook him by the hand… But the lad looked like he was on his last legs.
Not that it stopped him from launching into helpful advice and checking that I was getting the right things ready to take with us. Richard rang for a taxi.

I did nearly forget the reading glasses but remembered as we were at the point of leaving. I went to get to them.
Richard had already made the checks on taps etc., so the didn’t get a chance to get me going.
We were down in the lobby in plenty of time. The taxi arrived minutes later.
The taxi driver, like so many of them, took shortcuts through the estates. It seemed to my , that all the roads and streets had speed bumps on them! One of the worst, well not worst, but most painful taxi rides ever. I couldn’t concentrate on anything other than poor SOSTH!

We arrived at the right place on the grounds, and I was helped out of the taxi. They retrieved the three-wheeler from the boot for me, and I felt well looked after. Bloody hurting in the SOSTH testicle area, though! Hahaha!

Instinct, I think, led Richard to lead me around some buildings to the required door, finding it the first time. Thank you, Richard!
Really good that Richard was there; we had to use an intercom thing to get in. Well, Richard did. It was not a long wait after Richard had logged us in with the receptionist, and the Memory Nurse fetched and led us to the office we needed, hers. A lovely nurse.
We went through the usual memory test. I think I did better than the last time at the surgery. The normal questions and a draw-a-clock routine.
Then some history, then medical questions.
A session of questioning Richard. I couldn’t hear them, unfortunately.
The nurse said I did well. (Which was worrying at the time cause I do need help!) She is going to give me a brain scan… now at this point, I had one of my blank moments and what she was saying did not get through properly. But I thought it did, now I cannot remember the details of what she had said. She might have given me a date of the first scan… maybe, but surely I’d have written it down if she had? February rings a bell in there somewhere. Mayhaps the first scan, then a second to see the changes in the brain? Oh, dear, Richard will know. I hope.
Why I didn’t say something at the time beats me.

But poor Richard was really in need of some rest by them. And we were soon told we could go. Which was a blessing for my mate Richard.
The receptionist called a taxi for us. We were soon on the way back here.
This taxi driver took a similar speed-bump route back but quicker driving, which entailed some cruel en route.

Back at the flats, all Richard wanted was to get home. And I don’t blame him one bit. I told him I had some of his favourite burgers in the fridge for him, but he was so tired he just wanted to go home. I pointed out that when he gets home, these burgers will only take two minutes in the microwave… He changed his mind and tool them. So hope he enjoys them, but he’ll probably fall asleep eating them.
Thanks again, mate.

BACK HOME

When Richard had departed, I had a feeling of aloneness, not loneliness. If you know what I mean?

The WC was used and then photographed. Funny how you miss things when you go out, innit? Hehehe!

Took a shot of the main room. Otherwise known as ‘The Tip’, ‘The Mess’, ‘Rubbish Room’, or ‘Bedroom’, although I don’t have a bed anywhere.

Then the kitchenette. A place of fear, Accifauxpas, Whoopsiedangleplops, burnt food, fridge and freezer doors left open, hob and oven left turned on, many trip-overable points, and occasionally a weird one-eyed monster appears in the night.

All a part and parcel of the unaccountable mysteries, phantoms, and haunting of Woodthorpe Court. (It never used to be like this, they told me until I arrived!)

I blame myself, like.

Arrived in good spirits. I asked him to ring EasyLink to arrange a lift if they could for tomorrow to Bulwell. I spent ages getting the details together and readying the calendar… But no chance! They were obviously either fully booked up or out of drivers again. They divert to a message when that happens. I wanted to get some food in.
Still, I’ll not starve, I’m sure. I’ve got a can of gungo beans, some out-of-date butter, manky even further out-of-date burgers in the freezer, and some potatoes that just need de-eying. Haha!
Shaquille departed with his chosen can. After which, I realised he had not issued me with the Peptac medicine.

I pressed on with doing this blog. It was incredibly slow going again. So I decided to get the Health Checks done… and this was the result!

Well, Phantasmagorical! First Time Ever!

18:00hrs: I put some potatoes in the oven. (After a lot of de-eying and removing green maggots). Then I took this masterpiece of photographicalisational genius of the evening view. from the kitchen window.
Well, alright, it might not be that good exactly then..
. But it’s definitely a little better than my usual crap!

18:40hrs: , a rare but welcome pretty visitor arrived, dead on time too! ♥ She said how much better I looked that last week. She must have called in the middle of the four nights without any sleep and averaging 80 wee-wees per night. Boy, do I appreciate Richard’s care in getting me back to near normal! I hope he can catch up on sleep now. Sinead said she could smell the potatoes when she for out of the lift – not sure if that is good or not? She selected a can of pop and a nibble in thanks and departed. Feel lost again now, Hehehe!

I checked the potatoes in the oven. During a break in ‘Heartbeat’ on the box.
Ah, now I know why they smelt so! I’d sprayed them with olive oil and dropped a blob of BBQ sauce in each one. However, at first, I could not understand why, after two hours, they were still not cooked through yet. Eventually, it dawned on me. I’d only set the heat to 150°! Being the intelligent problem-solver I am, I turned it up to 200° and got back to watch my beloved ‘Heartbeat’ on the box.

I then checked the new Meridian Carer roster. It seems I have another caller coming at 21:45hrs ETA. To check that nothing is left on that shouldn’t be, and issue a fourth dose of Peptac. Tonight it says is calling. Another nice gal.

Why, what for, I’ve not got the foggiest, but…
Suddenly burst into giving me an almost industrial-level shoulder-shaking! None-stop for a good few minutes, I was beginning to worry about this, and it stopped abruptly. Thank heavens for that, I thought to myself…
She kicked off again, even more violently, this time. But slowly, it died off, this time after a minute or two. I can do without any more of these from her; thank you!

The Meridian 31:45hrs Care did not arrive.
But fear not, I remembered to take the Pentac. Shame she didn’t come, though: cause I left the hot water tap (faucet) running again; it’d run cold by the time I noticed it. I’d not put the plug in the sink, so I had no overflow problems to sort out, at least!

I got the meal served up.
The potatoes were tasty enough, and a few too many, methinks?

I enjoyed this simple feast, ate it on my knee, decorating my jammies and the recliner with droplets of BBQ sauce and bits of the potatoes and skin. Naughty Boy!
Took me ages to clean it all up afterwards. Hehe!

I was well tired when it came to settling into the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner. Unfortunately: I plopped down into the seat from a greater height than I intended, landing joltingly, jarringly, and crushing  !
The pain left me feeling light-headed. But, of course, there was no cursing, howling, winching or feeling sorry for myself.

Thanks to the testicle-testing trauma, it took me a long time to get to sleep tonight. However, once I got off, I had a decent four uninterrupted hours of respite in the arms of Sweet Morpheus.
Grrreat!

SATURDAY 26th NOVEMBER 2022

UPDATE

Just as painful. The exploding right testicle had either gotten a quarter bigger, or the left one had reduced by the same amount. Still ultra-tender, delicate manipulation is needed in the event of the one every few-minutes wee-weeings! A work of art to get rid of a few fluid ounces of deep orangey-red coloured urine. Still unable to bend without severe pain resulting. But, I developed some new cries of pain. It had to be done. I was getting pissed–off (Wrong choice of wording there, methinks?) with the none-stop pain over the last six days. I’ve never had to suffer this agony it for this long and can sympathise with others in the same condition much better now. It really does grind you down.

Getting in as comfortable position as possible when you sit down, and if you find one – I readjust the ring cushion, with trial and error manipulation of edges of the chair cover, to try and get the raised areas around SOSTH. Of course, there is always something to make the bleated testicle or aching bladder innards worse.

Some things will need avoiding, like coughing! Sneezing, and I have no control over,  or the, when the every part of the body is liable to a shaking. But the worst part of getting settled as peaceably as you can is something is always going to force you to get up again. A caller at the door? The need for a wee-=wee, or the ?

Another annoying one is ! No matter that it is most agony, as my previously miniature man’s bits part as you stand, especially with bloated ball bag, I just have to get up and go and check on whatever the commands me to. Tea mashed and left on the kitchen table, Taps running in the bathroom, forget about cooking in and on the stove? Is the fridge or freezer door left open? The kitchen sink taps are left on… they have to be checked.

Without failing today… every time I’ve stood up after sitting, it’s far worse the longer I sit (imaging getting up from sleeping!) Within a minute of getting up, I always need a wee-wee! No question about that, you have to go. Sometimes you may pass a trickle, on the odd occasion, it might be almost (But never is) an actual flow, which gets me excited thinking at last… But no. The pain deletes your concentration and makes you so irritable!

Today the stomach and midriff have gotten much larger and harder?.

The evening meal. Well, the only meal, of course.

Ater struggling to get the Health Checks…

Gave up on the computer.
Nowt else to report, can’t remember anyway.
Just want the pain to go away!

An odd night’s sleep. A different style of waking ups. Not so many, and I woke more gently. But struggled to get back to sleep, so lost a bit of the benefit of getting some sleep in.  Somehow being banged or moved was not what kept waking me up. No idea what did.

I was deep in sleep when woke me up. This unchallenged diamond had me feeling so much better within seconds. Got the medications sorted out and listened to my tales of Woe over the problems with farcical trip to the Doctors and the way things have developed since. Had he not left the note on the whiteboard reminding me about booking in at the Doctor, I may well not have done.
mate!

I made three visits to the in about an hour. Apart from bashing poor old each time (He is so much bigger this morning), the other similarity in all three sessions was large rabbit pellets. I’ve not been eating much; with the infection, do you think that might be the reason?

Got the computer on and commenced making mistake after error and getting mind blanks into the bargain in my updating of the Sunday blog. I stopped and made a start on the

Another bad set of results, Humph!

Chimed, and on came the highly desirable, sweet, kind patient Warfarin DVT Nurse Hristina.
I was feeling a smidge low with all the cock-ups I’d been making on the Saturday blog; her kindness cheered me up a smidge. (Doing well today in this. first Richard and now Hristina) She listened to my tale of the infection, getting on the wrong bus etc., before and while taking the blood. Bless her.

Fire hours later, I got the mistake-ridden blog posted off.

Then Liberty-Global Virgin Media went down Again!

LIBERTY-GLOBAL
Who bought, & destroyed Virgin Media.
The $126m salaried Mt Fries makes the decisions!
But can we, the suffering customers, really complain?
Let’s face the facts, Fries, the number-crunching, smoke & Mirrors, man.
The financial wizard who plays with numbers and gets them to show what he wants them to show. What will impress his boss?
While we, the poor stupid customers, can’t even leave the company due to Fries, ingenious leaving fees and convoluted process needed.
But I bear the man no ill will.
(Well, maybe just Knob-Rot, Black Death or Palsy, nothing serious.)

A call came in. They do that sometimes) it esd from the Sherrington Park Medical Practise.
The receptionist was calling with my new Warfarin dosage. That was quick! I wrote them down and made a list, and stuck it on the cover of the Meridian Social Carers folder.

Spur of the moment job here. I went to the fridge to see what was available for a nibble, but the answer was very little. So I made an Iceland order, which to my amazement, would be delivered in the morning twixt 06>08:00hrs. Ordering: Potatoes (bag for Richard & for me), baking spuds (bag for Richard & for me), Part-baked cobs (bag for Richard & for me),
For Richard: BBW burgers, Starbucks coffee.
For me: Veg & Gravy pie, kitchen towels, sliced cobs, & spring water.
Now we’ll see if I can wake up in time for the delivery. Hehehe!

Arrived. We got the meds sorted out and had a mini-natter, Jodie, confirmed that Richard would be going with me to the hospital on Thursday. (That’s good news; I’ll ask him to order a taxi for us.) Selected a treat in thanks, and she took the waste bag to the chute on her way out.

I continued with the blog for a few more hours. Then thought I’d better close down and get my head down.

Chimed out. Who is this at 22:00hrs, I thought? I stood up painfully (It’s always painful to get up since the urine infection started) and cautiously went to the door. I was flabbergasted! It was , I truly thought I’d had a mind-blank or time-lapse, and it must be morning already!
Richard was doing a late-night safety check. To ensure nothing had been left on that shouldn’t have been, Taps, lights etc.
He confirmed that he would be going with me to the hospital on Thursday. I asked him to order a taxi, and he said he would. We had a natter, and off on his rounds, he went. I could not give him an alcoholic drinkie as he was working, but he chose a Lychee juice from the fridge. Left, saying he would collect the bag later in the morning on his usual medicationing call; fair enough.

After a time spent making mistakes on the blog, I decided to have something to eat. But the Vegan Mince Pie was out of date. ! So, I had a Vegan Pastry Slice, made up some gravy and had this with some part-baked mini-cobs. Didn’t taste too bad at all. Flavour: 702/10.
Zzzz!
