Wed-Thurs 11th-12th December 2019

Welsh: Dydd Mercher 11eg – Dydd Iau 12fed Rhagfyr 2019

1500hrs: Wednesday 11th December: I was feeling pretty rough, bilious, and Dizzy Dennis was visiting me regularly. I got sat down, too weary and shaking a bit, to have anything to eat.

I sprang awake around 17:00hrs, in need of a wee-wee. I utilised the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket), an SGSS (Short-Gently-Sprinkling-Spraying) variety. And realised that apart from the Dennis and the wobbles, I was feeling a good bit better than I did when I got my head down. So I thought I’d get on the computer, to do a bit on this blog. So when it goes down tomorrow, I’ll not be so far behind when and if it comes back on again after the maintenance work.

I poddled into the kitchen, with Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna being kind to me. The stubbed toe and Duodenal; Donald were a little bothering, but not bad by any means! I hobbled back almost quickly, to fetch the camera when I saw the evening skyline, to take these snaps.

4Thu03

WDPh 01WD 0.0.128A I got back with a mug of tea, to the computer, and made a start, but the keyboard would not let me use the arrow keys. Grumph! I changed the batteries and cleaned it up, and tried again, but no go, now it was sticking every few words I typed! I decided, bravely I thought, to try and get the new keyboard and mouse set up. The bit of 4Thu04paperwork that came with it was ridiculously small! I put the glasses next to them in this photograph, so you can see the size, or lack of size, of the font, used! The new keyboard letters show you how minuscule the printed matter really was! Impossible to read at all! But the advice given me from my cyber-mate in New Mexico was consulted. The thing to plug into the computer was a bit much for the old fart, and I just did not know which hole it should go into!

WDP 02lbWD 0.0.128A So, I gave up. I’ll ask someone tomorrow for guidance. I got the black bags and was taking them out, and knocked on neighbour Malcolm’s door, to ask if he knew about the computer needs. He said he’d wait, while I took the bags, and he did, bless him. But, on my way back and getting into the flat, Shaking Shaun and Dizzy Dennis both had a go at me! Poor Malc was taken aback by it! Mind you, so was I!

WDP 4GLWD 0.0.128A The chap spent ages trying to get it sorted, without any success. He checked the batteries in both machines, they were alright. He son found the right slot for the card to go in on the computer for me. Then, the Norton came up with a message, telling me it needed to restart the computer, to enable it to solve a problem? I made the box small, down to the tray to sort out the current problems first. Malcolm tries to read the print on the leaflet, but there was no chance. Everything should be working, and when he turned the keyboard on, the green light kept going off. Not that it was working with the light lit or off! He advised me to ring Amazon in the morning. But the green light kept disappearing each time after a few seconds. Oh, dearie me! I thanked him for his time and effort, and off he trotted.

WDP 001 LaWD 0.0.128A I opened the Norton box, and clicked on Yes! The computer closed and opened, and I was presented with having to sign in again! Of course, I put in the wrong password, so had to press the Having Difficulty button, and go through a right palava! They sent an email with how to reset the password. The neurotransmitters sensory nerve-damaged fingertips were making mistakes all the time… I was getting all het-up, and Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun kept putting in an appearance. Gawd knows how, but I got it finished and then realised, I’d just used the keyboard!

So, I got on with this blog, before trying a restart again, praying that the keyboard would start again this time… Fingers crossed, here goes… Phew! All working!

This keyboard has things in different places, it’ll take a while to get used to. Too late for me to do any graphicalisationing now!

As I stood up to leave the computer, Dizzy Dennis had another little go at me.

Then I got settled in the second hand, c1968, recliner and began to watch a film on the TV. At the first commercial break, I nodded off.

Nice!

WDP10L02R WD 200.0.0 I woke-up, remembered I’d not emailed Jane & Pete about not coming, it was election day, the stomach was grinding away. Dizzy Dennis was affecting me even as I was laid-out on the £300 second-hand, rusty, rickety, sometimes working, ramshackle recliner. I was sweating with almost slimy skin. Coughing and Tight Chest Charlie was back again.

As soon as I rearranged parts of the gruesomely flabby bouncing stomached body to get up, Arthur Itis kicked into a pain-giving mode, and I needed a wee-wee! The balance wasn’t outstanding as I made my way to the wet room. Considering that I had nothing to eat or drink last night, the wee-wee surprised me with being of the LHLBS (Long-Hosepipe-Like-Blasting-Splashback) mode.

4Thu09

Off to the kitchen, and got the kettle on. Got the handwashing, done, wrung and hung to dry. Took the medications, rubbed in some Phorpain Gel on the knees. I got the kettle boiling again, and almost retook the pills, Phew! That was close.

WDP 02LWD 200.0.0 Off to the Porcelain Throne. Another just-in-time visit! I mentioned earlier about my not feeling too good, and having no nosh last night, so where the megaton-torpedo I passed came from, I don’t know? Painful, messy, but no bleeding. I wonder if there is an institute or help-line on this subject? Hahaha! Got a wash and contact points antisepticised, and to the kitchen and replaced the tea that had gone cold replaced.

To the computer, to update and start today’s on the same draft or draught, I think? The new keyboard was catching me out a bit here and there. (A lot really, with the Autonomic nerves putting in their half-penn’orth, and Succades Sandra blinking and twitching all over the room) it was a hard slog to get done).

I went to make another brew and got sorting the bags of treats for Sister Jane & Pete in the kitchen. As I was brewing, I snapped the morning moon when it came out.

WDP 4RWD 200.0.0 WD 200.0.0A Back to the wet room for a wee-wee, and what a release it was. A BOBSLTTFY (Blasting-Out-But-Short-Lived-Then-Trickling-For-Yonks) type. By the time I had finished, I’d forgotten what I was going to do next! Humph! Then, it had to happen, of course, I turned away from the bowl, and stubbed my toe on the metal raiser-legs, this caused a slight loss of balance. So,l I picked up the body-spray can, the Germoloid tube, the crossword book and dermatitis cream. The pen, I’ll have a look for again later on. Schlemiel!

WDP 13LI pressed on with the blogging. But, no time for any graphicalisationing yet, time to get the ablutionalisationing done.

WD 200.0.0 Well, well, well, and by gum, that was a record session. Unfortunately, for dropsies. I’m finding it hard to think of something that I didn’t drop! Cut shaving, banged my shoulder on the hand-rail, and hit my forehead on the doorframe. Ah, well! The legs still looked a little pot-marked.

I got the black bag made up and a recycling big box (keypad set carton) to go down with me. I dropped them off and Stewart came to give me a hand. Then I continued to the Polling station, which was in the Winwood Court big social room, but blocked off, and access was via the fire escape outside. So, out I went in the cold, and it was cold too! I was going to take a photo of the iced-up car windows, but I’d not taken the camera with me. Shlimazel.

5Fri004WD 200.0.0A I got out, shivered and coughed, then to the polling area fire-escape door entrance. And proceeded to trip-up over the raised step while manoeuvering the three-wheeler and my bulk into the place! Tsk! A lady election aficionado came to my assistance. We had a laugh, which did not go down too well with other pollster-voters behind me, so I buttoned the lip.

On the way back to the flat, I called in the ILC (Independent Living Coordinators) holding cell and interview room, office. Mini-natter, and out and on back to the apartment. The sneezing started again.

Got in and made a brew. Got the handwashing done, wrung and hung. Then got on CorelDraw to at last try to make some graphics. Minutes later, Sister Jane rang, they (Jane & Pete) were on their way. (And, she said, bringing back with them, what bit is left of the valuables and money that xyrophobia-suffering, lock-breaking, ‘Have-it-away-if-yer-not-looking’, drone user, Brother-in-Law Pete lifted from the flat while I was in the hospital.)

Jane & Pete arrived. Despite fears of my passing on germs to them, we had a super visit. Many laughs, reminiscences and three-way gossiping. I was a bit wonky in balance, but it didn’t phase anyone. (Looking back, I was a little ashamed that I didn’t make them a brew, Tsk!)

They had been in touch with Pete Chambers & Tammy in Hong Kong. On WhatsApp? For some reason, they do not use email or Facebook. Jane showed me some great photo’s they’d sent. I asked Pete if he could send them to me on email, which he did later. Here they are:

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

4Thu10Great photo’s, taken by their daughter Debbie. Got me feeling a touch sad at my not seeing them for real, but glad to see them doing well.

Pete fetched the partial-remainder of the stolen loot and valuables from his car. By Gawd, he’d been spending! Hehe!

He told me to keep them safe and insisted on his knowing where I was putting them. Making sure he knew how to gain access to them, for when I kick the bucket. I handed the treats carrier bags over to Pete. They were both heavy, the booze you see, without Wine, they get very morose. Hehehe

A few hours later, and they went off to visit another relative, in Mapperley. I got my coat on and joined them, intending to walk to the Doctor’s to book an appointment to tell Dr Vindla about the Saccades Sandra, biliousness and the increased Dizzy Dennis problems.

They let me check the flat unhindered, as I looked at taps, lights etc. to be on the safe side. (I may have OCD?)

4Thu12Then, half-way along Chestnut Walk in the rain, I was getting sodden wet through and chickened out of going on the hobble. I told Jane, we said our farewells and I got back inside, through the Winwood Court entrance, along the link passage, and into Woodthorpe Court. Up to the flat, and dried off! More stuff on the airers to dry!

I got the meal made and served up. I must cut down on the cheesy-potatoes, God they make the washing up a hard job! Haha!

4Thu11The Aldi smoked chicken slices were great. Tomatoes a little bland, but then again, they are out of season and Spanish so what should I have expected. The garden peas with demerara sugar were superb tasting. The beetroots well cooked and not too hard. The Morrison Cox’s apples were bruised and soft though. The cheesy-spuds were okay, but I’d not mixed them enough. Overall, a flavour rating of 7/10.

5Fri003 WD 200.0.0 I was doing the washing up and had to nip to the toilet. The wee-wee was a long one of the LRWS (Long-Reluctant-Weak-Sprinkly) variety. And Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding. So, a clean-up and the application of the Germaloid Cream was needed. The legs looked a bit easier blotch-wise.

WD 200.0.0 When I got back to the kitchen, I found that I had left the hot water tap running again! Whatta-Plonker! Finished the pot-washing, moved the handwashing to the airer, passed-wind, and got settled in the rickety recliner.

Where I spend hours, mind-musing, recalling memories of my youth, fretting over the Saccades Sandra problem, coughing, regretting, bemoaning, sneezing, stewing over failures, regretting decisions and routes taken, and at some time, I must have nodded off!

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 11th December 2019: Poorly, Plutonian and pitiful day! Hey-ho!

22:00hrs: Woke up early, but then again I fell asleep early, too. The Hum, the droning grinding, piss-offing, tormenting wind-like howling sound was the loudest as I can ever remember it being. At one stage it sounded like an old tube radio that had been left on full volume, and the station had gone off the air! Argh! I later found a map of ‘The Hum’ reported locations. The UK seems to be getting the worst of it… nothing new there! They say only 6% of the population can hear it. Lucky sods those who can’t!

3Wed001

I rose with ease, got the stick and went for a wee-wee. Which turned out to be a rare PWWDIB (Pathetic-Weak-Why-Did-I-Bother) mode. However, the EQ cautioned me to fetch the GPEWWB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency-Wee-wee-Bucket) into the front room near the computer. Because things felt a little out-of-order in the urination-storage tank department this morning, and I felt sure it would be well-used later on.

I abandoned the comfort of the £300, second-hand, c1968, abhorrent, nauseous beige-coloured, rickety recliner, rose on my feet and grabbed the four-pronged walking stick. Yet again the balance was reasonable, no Shaking Shaun, no Dizzy Dennis, the right-side Peripheral neuralgia seemed calm, too. The finger-end failing sensory neurotransmitters were shaking the fingers, but I would never have known without looking at them. This later made my brewing-up a mug of tea interesting. Only Duodenal Donald was in a bad mood at this moment.

3Wed001b

I took a couple of pictures of the moon.

Into the kitchen, and got the kettle on. Took the medications, dropped the jammies pants and massaged some Phorpain Gel into Arthur Itis’s knees. Had a swig or two of the pathetically inept, picayune, Peptac ulcer medicine. Made the tea, then went back to the front room and to get the computer on.

I seemed to be doing well manoeuvrability wise. Amour-Propre-Mode-Adopted!

Got on with finalising the Tuesday Inchcock. Despite the finger-end insensitivity to touch, I got it finished in record time! That sounds impressive, doesn’t it? Truth is, I only had one last photograph to go on, so that saved the time, not me. Hehehe! I got it sent off to Facebook. Then went on the WordPress Reader. Some excellent posts and photographicalisations on today.

Next, I visited the TFZer Facebook page for a couple of hours.

I went on to make some graphics and tomorrow’s template. (4 hours!) That took a while. The nerveless fingers are playing up. Then I got some bags of treats ready in case Sister Jane and Brother-in-Law Pete call tomorrow. (That’s the same xyrophobia-suffering, philargyrist Brother-in-Law Pete), who broke the recliner and stole my valuables on the pretence of keeping them safe, while I was in the hospital stroke ward.

WD 0.30.0B I got the black bags made-up and taken to the waste chute at the other end of the floor’s lift lobby. Coming back out of the cubby-hole, Dizzy Dennis attacked! A bad one, I had to wait for ten minutes or so, before I dare walk back to the flat. I realised later that I was looking down the chute just before Dennis visited? I was feeling a lot better as I got through the flat door.

WD 0.30.0B Out of the blue, I had to rush to the wet room, I was bilious. I cleaned the porcelain up, but did not move, I sat down on the throne, I was still feeling a tad nauseous. No more bother, so I went and made a mug of tea, to try and get rid of the horrid taste in my throat from the spewing up. I also took some Peptac.

WDA 0.30.0 I got the ablutionalisationing done. A few dropsies, a couple of little tiny cuts shaving, but the worst, was a painful left foot big toe stubbing! The legs were a tad rougher again, no walking you see!

3Wed01ga

Dizzy Dennis decided for me, I would give up on the computerisationing and cleaning I’d planned. Another heavy bout of the dizzies, during which I clouted my shoulder against the door frame. I decided to stop everything and just sit down in the none-working Brother-in-Law knackered recliner. Writing this, reminded of the visit tomorrow. The radio said it could be -2° in the morning. And how I was feeling, I may ask them to leave calling until another time. Then, the sneezing started!?!? I soon fell asleep. Dreaming of a cat named Loki, playing in deep snow with me.

WD 0.30.0B I shot awake a couple of hours later, and somehow thought of the Global-Liberty Virgin Media shit-head boss, who is cutting the service on Friday for about 5-6 hours! This forced me to get up and back on the computer. I wanted to finish this early, so I could get some template graphics from the web before it goes down. As Virgin put it: We’re doing some important maintenance work in your area – We know how important it is for your brilliantly fast and reliable Virgin Media services… Hang on! I’ll double-check that; Yep, Brilliantly fast and reliable Virgin Media service? Hahahahahahaha! Wackerplonkers!

There was no need for meal-making tonight, I couldn’t face one. I did have a drink of Orange Juice and nibbled a few nuts, but now as I settle to do CorelDrawing work, the stomach is grinding now! I may have caught a bug. Tsk!

I changed my mind, I thought I’d close this and post it off now. Then if I do fall asleep and wake up with no internet service, it will be done first. Fingers crossed!

WD 100.20.0 Huh! 22:20hrs: I regained semi-consciousness, but almost immediately lost interest in doing so. Why? I’ll tell you; well, I’ll do my best to explain why I think this is. Bear with me please, if I get confused, ill-defined or incomprehensibly-garbled in my efforts. I know the things I want to write, but by the time the failing neurotransmitters allows me to, I’ve often forgotten what I had planned to say.

Like a few minutes ago, I had to get up to use the wee-wee bucket, this took a while, because Arthur Itis is not happy with me this morning, and every step or move of the leg or knees is a struggle. He’s never been this bad before. Naughty Arthur! I passed the INHBT (I-needn’t-have-bothered-trickling) wee-wee and got to the notepad to put down my waking thoughts, there was nothing there! Dribs and drabs returned, and I added them to the pad as and when. Hours and hours later, I’d got the Inchcock Today done, and referred to the notes, which were partly unreadable, and used them to write this explanation. (Have I lost you yet?) Here goes:

Back-to-the-current time: The mind was blankish, yet confused and almost antithetic to it’s usually being scrambled hassled by a flurry of worries, fears and concerns, as is the

normal awakening condition for me. There was a lack of interest in things an indifference, unconcernedness, that really is not me at all. Slowly, guilt took over as the head-agonising factor! This remorsefulness was adorned with contrition, misgivings, doubts, qualms, sorrow, nae, self-pity! Yes, these were faults: Guilt and Self-pity. Why is it a good question? I haven’t worked it out yet. But the EQ was not around, no feelings or emotions to help me clarify the causes. Although a vague ‘You’ll just have to cope’ message was received later in the day.

At least the constant droning and humming noises were not bothering me too much, as they would normally do.

Eventually, after being stood, leaning on the four-pronged walking stick, for I don’t know how long, musing, I went to take the morning medications and sort the prescriptions.

6Sat05 WD 100.20.0 Unbelievable!WDPT03R The Carrington Chemist who the Medicines management lady Leoni had phoned on Wednesday morning to arrange for the Furesomide water tablets to be delivered in packets, not the bubble-blisters, has not done so! They are in the blister packs. I took a photo of them, to show how alike the tablets are, Codeine 30g, Furesomide and the Bisoprolol Beta-blockers. I have the hardest job in picking which one is the water tablet, to throw away when not needed. I reckon on a few occasions, mainly on bad pain, or shake hand mornings, I’ve dished the wrong pill, and missed either a painkiller or beta-blocker! This is not good! And only served to make me feel even worse than when I woke-up! Crabs and Grobblecraps! In fact, Grumble, Sodit & Blast, as well! I just threw the medicines onto any draw, willy-nilly

Feeling even less like interested in life, I automatically moved the handwashing onto the airer! Not even taking any care about arranging them into an optimally folded position. And not fussed about it either. This could be a miserable day.

Then I took the morning medications and made a brew of Thompsons tea. But it might as well have been a mug of the crap weak cheaper PG tips for all the interest I showed in drinking it. The tea went cold, as started updating the Inchcock Today. Which has never taken longer to get done before? The Peripheral Neuralgia was giving me a bad time now! No actual dangerous shakes of the leg, but as earlier, there were the occasional mini-trembling moments, involuntary muscle-twitching and cramping – which are usually a sign that the leg is about to go into an imitation, spontaneous, kick-out and a neuropathic drop-something and flail-about dance routine. If it had done, it could have had me off the chair onto the floor. Fear more anything pissed me off. But no, bother from the leg. The hands and fingers were a different kettle-of-fish! The finger-ends were going all over the place, when they contacted a hard surface, like the keyboard!

WDP 03RWD 100.20.0 The nerves were just not telling the brain! Just coming to the finishing off of the blog. Many hours later (Huh!) and the right hand and digits did a scoot across the keyboard and knocked it off the counter! I retrieved it, and the direction arrows on the keyboard would not work at all in WordPress! I wondered what the heck I had done to it. I searched for assistance on the web turned, without any luck. So I turned everything off and rebooted. Tried again, but it was not having it! So I opened and cleaned the inside of the board, as best I could, with the fear of dropping it again hovering over me. Got it reassembled, but no luck! I was convinced whatever I had broke or altered during my fumbling one and a half-handed to stop it falling but failing, then the farce of picking it again… I’ve lost what I was saying now! Oh, yes (just read it), had put the arrows out of action for good, and near depression dawned. One last everything off again, left it a few minutes then started up, the web came on, and I went on WordPress… and the arrow keys were now working!?!?!? Is it me? Is it the Mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court. That lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the universal continuum, illusion, delusion, & hallucination! Or am I going sillier, more-hare-brained, weirder, losing it altogether?

The way my head and brain are today, I’m not coping with failures and things that are beyond my brain-power to solve. Which, going sillier, more-hare-brained or weirder, losing it altogether? Going sillier, more-hare-brained or funnier, losing it altogether? How I feel at the moment, covers anything happening. Haha!

I got some pictures off to Pinterest. Went on TFZer Facebooking. Then had a perusal of the WordPress Reader.

Well, despite everything, I must get some graphics done in advance ready to do the WP templates. No matter how rough and full of angst, I feel. (I didn’t sound too sure of myself typing this! Hehehe!)

I made a mug of tea first and took photographs of the moon above. I took then in Night Panor… no, it wasn’t; it was in Aperture Priority. Not bad results considering. The clouds were ever moving, hiding the moon, so back inside.

6Sat08

I brought the tea to the computer and pulled the curtains open on the balcony. And the mon was out again, I got the camera and back to the kitchen, banged my elbow opening the unloved, unwanted, light & view-blocking, impossible to get to for cleaning, new window. And the clouds covered the moon again. I waited while but the clouds seemed to be spreading thicker now. So back to the computer…

WDP 02lbWD 100.20.0 X3: I stubbed my *toe on the airer, *knocked the clothes off of it, dropped the mug of tea and swore silently swore! Getting down to retrieve the shirt and socks was done with less pain than usual – I used the picker-upper stick! Haha! I was getting ready to adopt a smug mode, and the *picker-upper fell to pieces in my had, the rivets had somehow come out. And *I dropped the handwashing back onto the floor, just where I’d picked it up from. No wonder my EQ indicated that I’d just have to up with things today! So, I did not get too angry-noyed, just a little. Humph! Again, with a lot more inconvenience and pain, I carefully got the washing back on the now, bent-a-little-more airer.

I got on, slowly, laboriously and with oddly painful knees, well, one poorly knee. That was from a combination of the mini-trembles, the toe-stubbing and the bending down I imagine. With the composing of this blog. Which a few hours later, I’d got as far as here!

And went to make a brew, that might get drunk this time! As I was making my way to the kitchen, I put the camera in my pocket. While the kettle was boiling, I took four snaps of scenery from the deadly, nasty, light and view-blocking kitchen window.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

WDPT07RNo Accifauxpas or WHoopsiedangleplops encountered while making the brew! And back to the computer. Swank-Mode-Adopted!

WD 100.20.0 It didn’t last long, when I got to the computer, I realised I had left the SD card in the slot! So, back to the kitchen and retook the scenic shots! Ay-yay-yay!

At last, I got around to creating some header graphics! But I was so tired now, I’d been up for thirteen-hours already. I just did a few of them on CorelDraw.

6Sat26Done in now, shattered, I’ve had my chips, well I haven’t, but I made the meal and had some. Dagwood cobs, beetroot and chips etc. sounds good to me. But it was not to be eaten.

What I did eat of it, I enjoyed, but the tummy churned and my appetite dwindled? Mmm?

I went to wash the pots and the evening’s darkening skies prompted me back into a photographicalisationing frenzy. The first photo was in Aperture Priority, the second in Night Landscape mode. I tried to take the same area in each.

6Sat27

6Sat28I was so tired now but fought off the weariness and mental-fatigue, when I noticed the house that had been being modernised for months, extensions, new roof etc. appeared to be occupied again. Seasonal lights adorned the front of the house and bushes.

I took the medications, and got settled down early in the £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner. That’s the one that the horribly good-looking, handsome, taller, fitter, richer-than-me xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting when I was in the Stroke Ward. And he fitted new CCTC cameras, he erected a drone-landing platform outside and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet six-months later).

I discovered the Death on the Tyne film was being shown. I’ve not seen this one, but I so enjoyed the Murder on the Blackpool Express, made by the same company with almost the same actors in it. I couldn’t remember the title so looked it up, to find this photograph advertising it’s being shown on the Gold channel on the 15th.

1Mon03

Needless to say, the first set of commercials came on, I drifted off, to sleep! Waking well after it had finished, and felt even more angry with myself, for thinking I could watch it again on the 15th and realised I do not have the Gold channel on my TV. Shame!

WDP 02Rb.WD 100.20.0 Letting myself drift off back into the land of nod, and the Brain-Storming thoughts, fears, worries and self-hatred flooded into the grey-cell box. Agitating and stirring up failures, mistakes and terrible decisions made by yours truly!

I do wish they wouldn’t do that!

23:50hrs: I stirred into life, with a clarity of mind, that I had not had for years? Almost thoughtless! I extracted my ever-morphing body from the £300, second-hand, c1968, decaying recliner, stood up, caught my balance, and wobbled off to the kitchen, with, for me, great dexterity! Amazing this is, I thought!

5Fri01WDPh 01WD 0.0.50 As I was stepping over the door divider, the right leg gave the shortest ever Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance, ever. As it began, I grabbed the doorframe with he left hand, and clung on to the four-pronged walking stick with the right, ready to drop it if needed… and the leg started to flail, and it clouted against the corner of the cupboard, making me jump a little, and it was all over? I would think it lasted about ten-seconds or so, now everything is back to normal; apart from the bruise on my leg of course, Haha! Now that was something new, but I was well pleased with it being so short a dance, all the same. I fear I may have sworn out loud when the leg got caught on the cupboard corner. Oh dear! Sorry and my apologies to any of my neighbours who might have heard it!

WDPH01R6On a cheerier note, when I got the medications and medicines out to take, I was over-the-moon when I found I had not missed imbibing the evening dosages! At last, I’d gorrit right for once! Somewhat of a victory there for me, after going for about three or four nights and forgetting to take them every night! Smug-Mode-Adopted!

I moved the handwashing onto the airers, and off to have a wee-wee. This one was a catch-me-out mode of CMOUSTSTBOWV (Catching-Me-Out-Unwilling-Slow-To-Start-Then-Blasting-Out-With-Venom) style. You see how lucky I am really, any average person, with an uncancerous bladder, would miss all this variety and unexpectedness in urinational activities. Hehehe!

I got on with updating the Thursday post, which, although a longish one, was not handicapped too much by the Neurotransmitter failing finger-ends this morning. I imagine the peripheral neuropathy was still planning on the way to get the involuntary Neuropathic Schuhplattler dancing going again. Haha! I got it finished though, witin a few hours and had posted it off.

I sent some pictures to Pinterest. Went on the TFZer Facebooking, then went on the WordPress Reader.

5Fri02The ablutions went well. With only four dropsies. Oh yes! Razor (2), Carbolic soap and the toothbrush!

The pins (legs) seemed to have lost the fluid retention, and the signs of the Clopidogrel effects were far less!

5Fri003I dressed in warm clothing and took the black bags to the waste-chute, returned to the flat and collected the large recycling bag, and took it down with me on the way out.

As I entered the Winwood Court through-passage, the lovely warmth greeted me. I took this shop as I got through the first swipe door. 5Fri004The drizzle was still falling lightly. I proceeded in an easterly direction (Haha!), and with no one in the ILC’s Holding and Interview room, I went to have a go at the crossword in the big Winwood Socialisational room. I greeted John ‘Herbert’ as I passed him, and ensconced myself on a snug corner and got the crossword book out. I was sat in a high chair, more comfortable to get out of you know! Neighbour young, fit, rich, good-looking Malcolm (I hate him, Hehehe!) spoke, I gave him his little Christmas treat, Jack Daniels & Coke. Many folks walked by me, but being in the corner, they did not spot me or hear my ‘Good Morning’s’. At least I hope it was that, and not my B.O. Haha!

After almost total failure with the crosswording, I rose up, and hobbled through the second link passage to Winchester Court and joined other residents, waiting in the dry of the lobby, for the bus. I spoke greetings a few. Eddie or Louie answered me, he was looking a little better this morning. I went out to the bus stop, which was overflowing with Winwoodonians. Cindy, Angela, Penny, Mary and many others were in the shelter, and when the bus arrived, other tenants flowed from the foyer out into the drizzle to catch the bus. A lady let me on ahead of her with my three-wheeler. Mercy beaucoup. So I managed to get a side-saddle seat. I screwed myself up in the corner, for I knew the battle to remain seated and not get tipped out of the chair, or trod on by the passing passengers getting on and off the bus, was ahead. Safet-First!

Another not too successful bash at the crossword en route, and we were soon in town. I dropped off at the bottom of Goosegate. I wanted to look for murals to photograph, I knew some were, at least used to be in the Lace Market area.

WDPh 01Up the hill, I wobbled and found myself passing the shop that used to be a Tesco that I worked at in 1962ish. The memories flooded back, it was most likely the happiest times for me, working and finding romance there. It had been a Sex Shop for a long time, but I noticed it was now a Charity shop.

7Sun10a

I could not help but walk in and have a look. Seeing nothing around me much, for I was living what was there so long ago, the memories flowed. A young Marrianne Faithful look-a-like volunteer assistant, (yes, the memories were dominant now), asked me if I was alright. I must have looked either a little pasty or in a dream world state. (Well, yes, I was having a few moments in a reminiscing and regretting mode). I mentioned my past experiences and this being a Tesco store. The eyes raise up, she needed to say no more. I 5Fri005told my farewells and continued up Goosegate to Stoney Street, and down in search of some Street Art to picture. I took this photo of the what was, Price Properties building, with the artwork on the gable end.

WD 0.0.50 As I started to walk along towards where I thought the murals were, I spotted some pretend policemen putting up tape, signs and cones. People were being turned back at the end of the road. Oh, dear, another stabbing or 5Fri006shooting perhaps? So, I turned around to go back to Goosegate. I spotted this Magpie on a mould covered window ledge. The sad bit, bing the sign relating the For Sale of the freehold property. I checked on the web later, out of no [particular interest, on the price. But it just said Sale By Tender. Bet the Magpie’s not bothered either! Hehehe!

1Mon03I called at the Oriental Mart store on Heathcoat Street, to get some more of the Sukang Puti vinegar and some of the salted peanut brittle nibbles. I found the peanuts quickly and spent a long time searching for the vinegar. After much wandering around and having to of different ways to get through. Because of a lack of room to get the walker through with me, I found a similar flavouring. Chinese Distilled vinegar, it had the same high-acidity of 5% as the Indonesian one does, so I bought it. And that was that, all my shopping for the day, two items! No cause for any smugness, though. Cause I’ve got an Ocado delivery coming on Sunday morning. With Thompson and Glengettie Gold teabags, I never want to run out of them again! And some green tomatoes as a treat for myself for Christmas!

5Fri007Up over the hill and down Pelham Street towards Clumber Street and the Slab Square. I noticed a distinct atmosphere from the Nottinghamians today. Finding the right words for it is not easy. An antsiness, nervousness, a sense that anything could explode or erupt at any time? And the Christmas rides, stalls and food outlets on the fayre, were not doing much 5Fri007ctrade at all, despite it being lunchtime.

Looking up one of the almost hidden alleyways of shops on Pelham Street, there was not s soul in sight! The leaseholders had done there best to drum up some trade, with the illegal, bards and advertising. Well, something else, a different danger from Pavement Cyclists, for sight-challenged people to walk into. I took three photographs of Clumber Street as I stopped at the junction.

Down Long Row to the Slab Square.

I limped up King Street on to Parliament Street. Where I took this selection of photos, that give a decent representation of what I found.

5Fri019Then, down Queen Street, to the L9 bus stop.

The bus arrived on time, which caught a couple of regular riders out, who must have been anticipating the usual late arrival of the swap-over bus, and had to get a move on to catch it.

Eddie got on at the next stop, and I delved into the crossword book puzzles (Why do I bother!) It felt like just minutes later, I looked up, and the bus was pulling into the Winwood flats complex. There is, of course, the possibility that I had fallen to sleep en route. Humph!

I asked Eddie if I could carry his bag up to his flat for him, I could see it was heavy for him. But he said not.

I limped through the link-Winwood Lcorridor to the large Social area in Winwood Court, and to the ILC Warden’s holding and interrogation office. Handed out some nibbles and ha a mini-natter, then onwards through the Windwood to Woodthorpe Court link-corridor. Into the cold lift lobby, and up to the flat.

WDP 02lb5Fri21WD 0.0.50 Where I got the lamb chops in the oven and got the handwashing (only a long sleeve shirt and pair of bamboo socks) done, wrung and hung. The finger-end neurotransmitters failed to recognise touch or send the message to the brain again. However, at least they let me get the washing done before kicking-off! I was concerned about some uncomfortable tremblings in the right leg knee, which I thought might be the start of some interest from the Peripheral Neuralgia, in performing one of its Neuropathic Schuhplattler drop-something and flail-about dance routines. But I was so wrong, it was as good as gold all night!

WDP 4GLWD 0.0.50 The intercom lit up and buzzed, it was a young lady from Carrington pharmacy, with this month’s Prescriptions for me. Unfortunately, as I was about to press the door release button, the neurotransmitters died a death once more, and I ended up pressing repeatedly, and this turned everything off on the control panel! Grumph! I got the walking stick and got down as fast as I could to be in time to catch her. Off course, both lifts were on the ground floor, so that made me slower than ever. Arthur Itis, who had been so good to me all day, started to play-up as well. I got down in a bit of a panic, and Cindy told me that Jenny had taken the medication off of the girl and will bring them to the flat for me. So good to me that Jenny is.

WDP 001 LbWD 0.0.50 So, I got back to the flat… to find that the lamb chops had burnt in the oven! After having such a good day, this knocked me back a bit! I turned off the stove and checked out the meat. It was not a good sight. But, I decided to risk them anyway. I put them in the saucepan with the tomatoes and passata to keep warm, and the doorbell chimed.

WDP 09LIt was Jenny, with the medications for me, bless her cotton socks. She brought them into the kitchen for me. I had a job handing her some wine as her Christmas treat, and thanked her profusely. I do appreciate all she does for me, she’s saved my bacon a few times, I can tell yer! ♥

5Fri22I got to sorting meal again. Got it in the bowl on the tray with the dessert and bread ready.

Got the pots washed-up, and settled to dine. To dine, did I say? Have you seen the chop on top of the dish? It was 80% bone! Boy was I annoyed! Still, I sucked what few bits of meat there was off of the bone. And yet, the packet before, had some lovely lamb in it? Far too much bread was eaten with soaking up the tomatoes and juice, to help stave off the hunger that lingered after the meal. Thank You, Mr Iceland!

I got settled down in the rickety recliner, and within minutes I thought I smelt something burning? I went on a search around

5Fri20WD 0.0.50 Aha! I’d left the oven on. I also noticed the state of the pins when I took this photographicalisation. I could tell that Arthur Itis was not in a good mood, too.

WD 0.0.50 I turned off the oven and got back down in hopes of some sleep. And Colin Cramps visited me, legs but mainly the left one, it was far much worse. Perhaps with the Peripheral neuralgia down my right side since the stroke, the damaged neurotransmitters may not be sending the pain messages to the brain? Suits me! Hehehe! Enough agony from the left leg and foot, thank you.

No sleep seemed imminent, so I put on another Bond film, ‘Thunderball’, and soon to sleep I did fall, I wasn’t bothered at all. Haha!

WDP 16R23:35hrs: I stirred ostensive into ersatz life, calmly, slowly and thoughtfully this Thursday merry morning. The mind was not filled with blasting confusing thoughts, as would it would typically be. There were certain calmnesses and acceptances of something or other that I could not identify. Obviously, the grey-cells must have been active during my sleeping? After a few minutes failing to find what it was I was so relaxed and accepting of, the need for a wee-wee arose.

I removed my free-floating bulbous, wobbly-stomached torso from the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly-grotty beige-coloured recliner. I’d like to add that this was done with minimal hassle from any of the ailments! Arthur Itis, Duodenal Donald, Reflux Roger, Hernia Henry, Back-Pain-Barbara and Harolds Haemorrhoid were all but absent, pain-wise? I know, I couldn’t believe or understand it either! Only Saccades Sandra and an attempted, but self-aborted Neuropathic Drop-Something dance from the neurotransmitter-dying right leg as I moved off gingerly towards the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket) hindered my progress. The wee-wee was that of a rarely taken, USBUYWS (Ultra-Slow-But-Uncontrollable-Yet-Weak-Sprinkly) mode.

WDP 08L02b WD 60.25.0 I then moved the handwashing on the airers and became aware of the regular humming and droning noise that surrounds the flats, very off-putting! Into the kitchen to take the medications, and sod-me and poke-me-in-the-belly-and-lose-your-hand, I’d done it again, and missed taking the evening doses! I have without question, turned into a scatterbrain, a ditz, and at the same time seem to have adopted the straights of a distant luftmensh! I took the Warfarin and the Simvastatin, and the morning doses later on with the brew.

4Thu01Got the computer on and checked the appointments on the Google Calendar.

I plan to go out early this morning and try to get some photographs of Woodthorpe Grange Park, on the way to the Sherwood Health Centre appointment. I hope I don’t get another text message telling me it’s been cancelled when I get there! Although it might be a little dark then around 0700hrs? Mmm?

I’ll have to get back sharpish, to catch the window cleaners as well. Then wait to see when the Iceland delivery arrives. I’ve got the last of the Christmas nibble hand-outs on this delivery; if that isn’t cancelled like it was two weeks ago! Lucky, you cannot call me!

WDPH01L3As I began to update yesterday’s blog, the need to divert to the Porcelain Throne arrived. So, off to the wet room. The feeling of trepidation I usually take with me was not needed. This turned out to be an evacuation that went well. Oh, yes! No, I say, No, bleeding from front or rear, minimal pain and a messy-less action! Smug-Mode-Adopted!

2Tue01Cleaned up, and went to make another brew, took the morning medications at the same time. Then back to the computerisationing.

The finger-ends were giving a fair amount of bother, so very many jerky intermittent neurotransmitter-dying prompted mistakes and correctionalisationing activity annoyed me! But I did get it done, so few photos to deal with, with my not getting out-doors again, made the task easier than usual. Saccades Sandra later stopped her eye-jerking, thankfully.

I went on to the WordPress Reader, good stuff on there again. Then to the TFZer Facebooking, this tool a long time, but I enjoyed it so much.

Ablutions time! Well well, well, another decent effort. The usual few dropsies, but the Sock-Glide battle was a complete victory; no bruises, no blood-blisters and no knee-knocking! Fair enough, a couple of small cuts shaving, nowt like serious though. Double-Smug-Mode-Engaged!

WDPB01LIt was an almost content old Inchcock, who got his things ready, but a couple of cans of the G&T cans in the trolley, to give the staff at the Health Centre as a Christmas treat. Wrapped up well, remembered his gloves, and set off out, down the elevator, through the lobby and out on to Chestnut Walk, and the bitter unwelcoming cold morning.

4Thu03I stood for a moment in the terraqueous-free road, and had a look around, taking in the peace and quiet.

But the cold came as well, and this spurred into activity. And I stepped forth, approaching the nowadays, threatening, slippy, trip and slip upperable gravel hill path!

4Thu04WD 60.25.0 Not a good start, I nearly went over as I got to the other side of the walk, as the front wheel got jammed with leaves. Humph!

I had to take a couple of short breathers, however, I get to the top without further incidents or Accofauxpas!

I decided to take a different route to the Sherwood Health Centre, slightly longer, but there was no rush, I had plenty of time.

4Thu20

4Thu05As I set off on the footpath towards Mansfield Road, a gentleman perambulist on a bicycle, a keen, fit, athletic young sportsman, good-looking, handsome even, shot by me from the back, at a speed that champion cyclist Denis Mueller-Korenek, would have been proud of! The spunk-faced, ignorant crutch-faced git!

Towards the lower part of the path, I spotted some Nottinghamian Street Art at its finest!

4Thu08

4Thu10I got to the bottom of the walkway, and took this photographicalisation, to mu right, facing towards Daybrook and the North of Nottingham. Not a very good shot, blurry, I’m afraid. I could sense the right leg getting agitated, or rather the nerves in the limb, and prepared myself for a possible Neuropathic 4Thu11Schuhplattler dancing session!

Up the hill and over into Sherwood I limped, turning left into Elmswood Gardens, and going down to the Health Centre, and went to the receptionist window to report in. I meant to ask if I could get my hearing aid batteries from here, but forgot all about it! Humph! I signed in and went to the Podiatrist waiting area, and got the crossword book out. I got a few answers to, on the old already-had-several-bashes at puzzles. The lady called me in, and we had a natter while she did my tootsies. I gave her a choice of what to have for a Christmas drinky, and she chose the wine. Obviously, she was a refind lady! I tanked her 4Thu12and called at the reception on the way out, and gave the young lady the can of gin and tonic for her pressie. That cheered her up a bit!

I departed and made my way to the main road and down into Sherwood.

4Thu13 I espied a new to me, anyway, Christmas tree had been put in the ground on the pavement, even from far away it looked a little on the tatty side.

4Thu14As I got close to it, I realised it was tatty! All bashed about. I wouldn’t be surprised if it weren’t the local yobbery gangs who were responsible! Tut! Or it may have fallen over hence the barriers?

5Fri02I got some cleaning things from Wilko. Fabric conditioner, fabric freshener and Fragrance booster.

All Wilko brand and the same Ylanf & Fressia scented. Well, I like it!

WDPT03LWD 60.25.0 It was in Wilko, at the check-out, when the anticipated flipping annoying Neuropathic Drop-Something dance routine started! As the leg flailed, I heard a female behind me in the queue I expect, screamed out loud! It must have made her jump! However, it was thankfully short-lived, ferocious while it lasted, mind! The lady on the till came round to see if I was alright, then she packed the things into the bag for me. Bless her. I paid my dues, and then I dropped my gloves on the floor! She came out again and picked them up for me. That was really good of the woman! She even told me to take care, as  I left the shop! ♥

4Thu09No more mock-dancing, as I started the hobble back to the flats

As I got into the park, another of the nice pavement cyclists came from behind me at speed. I inquired if he had a “#’$cking bell!” But he didn’t hear me. I thought afterwards, he might have had one and rang it? I may not 4Thu15have heard it!

Near the pathway down to the flats, I fell in love with terrier dog. Don’t know why, but she appealed to me.

4Thu16I turned onto the gravel path top and took this picture of Winwood Heights. The buildings looked quite impressive now that Winwood Court has been finished being built. I considered going up to the roof to photograph the blocked and leaking drains, but I didn’t. Ahem!

4Thu17I took a last outdoors photo, showing the bottom field and cluster of mixed housing on the hill.

I cleaned the wheels on the trolley best I could with the kitchen towelling I had with me, before going in. And up to the flat.

I got on the computer, and:

Virgin (4a)

So, I started to get the kitchen cleaning again, and the Window cleaners arrived. We had a laugh and giggle while they were working. I handed them some plonk for Christmas, and off they went.

I got on the computer, and:

Virgin (4a)

I was well wee’d off now!

So I went to get the handwashing done, but no time, the Iceland delivery arrived. He told me the intercom down in the outer lobby, had been removed and asked why? Grand chap he was, we had a natter and said our farewells. I got the nosh put away. Then got the black bags done up and taken to the waste chute.

At last, the Liberty-Global-Crap internet came back on. And I got on with updating this post.

4Thu22Tiredness dawned, so I got the handwashing done, and made the meal. Maple lamb chops, curried baked beans with balsamic vinegar, tomatoes, wholemeal cobs and lemon mousse. An 8/10 for flavour rating.

Got the pots soaking in the sink, and went for a 4Thu23freshen up in the wet room.

The Spider veins, varicose and spider veins, chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), iliac veins, femoral veins, and saphenous veins, along with the maculations and lumps were a little more prominent tonight. Perhaps a build-up of fluid retention, too. I’ll love this self-diagnosing lark. Haha! Probably in my next life, I will become a Doctor, and I’m in training to learn how to cope with the ailments?

Belatedly, I remembered to take the evening medications. At last, after three missed does on the trot.

I got settled in the recliner that brother-in-law Pete broke while he was flat robbing while I was in the hospital with the stroke. He was fitting some more clandestine CCTV cameras so he could monitor and know the optimum to phone me, which is when I am about to start eating a meal, fallen asleep, or on the Porcelain Throne. He relieved me of my valuables on the pretence of keeping them safe, gave a lot of the cash to his favourite charities, and I still haven’t got any that might be left, unspent, back yet, after seven months! Still, give him credit, he’s very good at making his own drones, and is a perfect Hustler, as well.

I soon nodded off.

WD 60.25.0 22:45hrs: I woke with yet again, feelings of panic, fear, worrying and could not for life of me find out why? I looked around for any signs of nocturnal nibbling but found none. Then I noticed the mess the room was in; this made me feel worse. The confusion of appointments came to the fore.

1Mon 01WD 60.25.0 Somehow the EQ knew something was amiss! It told me to check on the Calendar; something was so not right. I obeyed and nervously, got the computer on and investigated the week’s Google diary. And soon found the problems! Jenny reminded me of the visit and had asked the Window Cleaner to call early for me tomorrow. But it clashed, unfortunately, with the Podiatrist rearranged after last weeks appointment was cancelled. I thought I’ll just change the Iceland delivery time. Hah! ‘Just change the Iceland delivery time’! It took me over an hour and a half to get it done! I ended up going on a helpline to learn how to do it! Got it wrong twice! The third time I took it steady and copied the advice onto the notepad. I followed it to the letter!

Where it said “You will be taken to the Payment…! It didn’t. I’m not sure how I did it, but I got to the Payment log place in the end, and then checked on the emails again, to look for confirmation. At last! I got one! Worra time-consuming a palaver and pantomime that was!

1Mon03

1Mon02I changed the Google Calendar. Now that looks more organised and neater, better planned. If only more folks understood and knew the farcical hassle, aggravation and time it had taken me!

Here I was; just gone midnight, shivering in my slippers and PPs, sat at a desk, wondering what had just happened and why? I bet this cock-up must have been on my mind while I was sleeping, it bothered me, and the EQ picked up on it and reminded me when I woke up? Illogicality is no problem for me. Harf-Harf! Going-Bonkers-Mode-Adopted! I wrote an email back to Jenny, thanking her for changing the timing for me with the window cleaner couple. Then realised the time, and prayed that any incoming email noise didn’t wake Jenny up! “Coy-Mode-Adopted!”

Well, time to get the nitty-gritty daily things done. I was hobbling very well this morning, no signs of any neuropathic medicine drop kettle dancing from the right leg, Arthur Itis was in a jolly good mood with me, and Duodenal Donald was giving me a most welcome break. Just Anne Gyna bothering me now, must you don’t like to complain does yer?

As I was limping into the kitchen, one of perhaps the most urgent demands for the Porcelain Throne to be utilised arrived! (Mind you, each urgent one seems the most pressing at the time, Haha!)

WDPH01L4WD 60.25.0 I clouted my shin against the door frame as I began to fear I might have an accident, and moved as fast as I could to get to the Throne, caution to the wind! Apart from it being a little messy and the extraordinarily large volume of the evacuated product, there was minimal bleeding or pain, it was all over quickly (I had to abandon the crossword book), and the closet mechanism coped well with the flushing procedure. I’m not used to things going so right? It worries me! Washed and cleaned all contact points.

The usual droning, wind-like annoying humming sounds seemed to be getting worse. But it could be that with me getting into a bit of a state with the appointment when I woke, I may not have noticed the sound earlier so much?

The Medicine Management member, Leoni is calling later this morning. I must get the blog updated as soon as possible, and get the hovel tidied up a bit and ablutions done before she comes. ‘Shame-Mode-Engaged’

WDPH01L2WD 60.25.0 I made a brew, and sod me, went to get the medications and found I’d again missed last nights doses – Again! Ay-yay-yay! Grumph, what a Shmo! I took the Warfarin and Zocor (Cholesterol-controller), with the morning doses. With having so few pains and hassle to bother with this morning, I avoided taking any Codeine 30g or Peptic medicine; they were unneeded, I’m glad to say. I can’t quote that very often. (Wait till later when I’m in agony, Hahaha!) I even left out rubbing in the Phorpain maximum strength 10% w/w Gel in the knees. 1Mon04Mind you, the Doctor tells me that it will be of no use to me, with my having Rheumatoid Arthur Itis, but she is happy for me to continue using it, as long as I rub it in well, massage the whole joint – doing that (massaging) might do some good, not the Gel. I asked her for a stronger gel, but she said this was the maximum strength allowed. Now you can see why I love Dr Vindla so much, her straight forward nature goes down so well with me.

I had a few moments of my latest medical issue; Hypometric Saccades (Rapid, ballistic movements of the eyes that abruptly change the point of fixation. They range in amplitude from the small movements made while reading, for example, to the much larger movements made while gazing around a room), bothering me, and this is not going to be good if it happens when I have Dizzy Dennis visiting at the same time! A nickname for this, might be Sadie Saccades, or Saccades Sadie? Any suggestions considered, I’ve not Christened this one yet. Haha!

The wee-wees were regular all of the same WSS (Weak-Short-Sprinkly) mode. I’ll use the above name for her; Saccades Sadie and the right side’s NFN (Neurotransmitterless Fingers Nigel) both visited a few times while I was doing the upgrading of the Tuesday blog. But not excessively so, I coped well enough. ‘Coped well enough’; It’s all foreign to me, this optimisticness! Haha!

3Wed001bWDPH01L4WD 60.25.0 I got the Inchcock Today finished, and sent off to WordPress, as the need for another Porcelain Throne session arose. Another rather sudden urgent one. Straight to the wet room, no banging and bruising of any body-parts this time on the way, but I very nearly sat on a particular little extremity as I plonked down on the seat. Phew, that was lucky – there I go again, using new scary, unfamiliar words! My pins (legs) were still a bit scattered with signs of deep vein arterial thrombosis, varicose and spider veins, superficial venous thrombosis (phlebitis), and iliac veins, not to mention the scar from the earlier attempt to remove the door frame with my shin, bruises, bulges, welts, contusions, blemishes, dapples and maculations. But nothing out of the ordinary. Tee hee hee!

The evacuation went well, a little more bleeding, but I reckon it was from Harold’s haemorrhoids, so to be expected, especially with my clunking down on the seat so hard

WDPH01LI made another brew of Thompsons tea and had three biscuits with it. Some people might have called them cakes, but they’d be wrong! Back to the computerisationing, and sent photos to Pinterest. Then had a jolly good time on the TFZer Facebooking for over an hour. I enjoyed that! – ‘Enjoy?’ – There I go again! If I do croak-out today, at least it will be on a happy note. The absence of so many ailments’s hassling. Wee-weeing under control (It’s own mind). The Porcelain Throne evacuations were going so well. Appointment cock-ups corrected without any assistance. I’m hobbling around better than I have done for months, thanks to Rheumatoid Arthur Itis being so kind. I’ve avoided having Little Inchy squashed, and the bleeding is much less from front and rear. But no messages from my EQ about things? Nerve-racking and a precautionary warning perhaps?

I went on WordPress Reading next. Then to my beloved TFZer Facebooking. Next, I made a start working on today’s presentation. This, as you can see (Sorry) is along one indeed. But the brain would not stop working, it kept spewing forth ideas, thoughts, fears, worries and even had a semi-contended note to the thoughts! This can’t last, surely?

Off to get the ablutions sorted out. A goodish session, this time. The usual dropsies; The toothbrush, shaving foam, razor (4), the shower-head (But caught it – Smug-Mode-Engaged! And the carbolic soap. After a refreshing bout of conditioning, the sock-glide-battle was declared a draw! The legs were even looking betterer!

3Wed01e

I then got the carpet hoovered and moved, so the lump wasn’t in it. I nearly tripped over it yesterday. I shifted the handwashing on the airers.

WDP 13LWD 60.25.0 Then had a go at the kitchen floor, near the corner of the sink. I used disinfectant and some Flash, down on the knees, and was doing well with shifting the marks… The Colin Cramps started kicking off! And could I get back up off the knees?

WDP 08L02bWD 60.25.0f WD 60.25.0 Well, I did manage it in the end, and clouted my forehead against the sink housing! Then, Dizzy Dennis paid a visit, bless him! I gave up on bending down. I took the black bags to the waste chute and took the big recycling bag down to the caretaker’s room. Where Steve stopped me, and took the things off of me. I slipped him a can of something drinkable, in thanks.

Back up to the flat, praying I had not missed any callers. There were not any messages put through the door.

I started to empty the hoover for another bash at the carpet, and the intercom, flashed alight. It was Leoni from the Medicines Management Team. Bless her, the missing the evening medications was the primary concern. I asked if there was anything that would flash as a reminder, as opposed to ringing or buzzing? She accepted the idea and said she would find out and get back to me.

WDP 12dI explained the problem with the water tablets being in the blister packs when they are taken on an as-and-when needed basis. And the identification of between the beta-blockers (Bisoprolol Fumarate), Codeine 30g and the Water tablets (Furosemide) was difficult with them all looking similar. She phoned the chemist for me and arranged for them to be loose on future prescriptions – how kind of her.

I then asked her if she would ring the phlebotomy, and ask about when the nurse will be calling. She was told today, sometime. Fair enough, I’ll not go out then! I thanked her very much and off she went, reminding me that she will get back in touch with me when she sorts out the reminder alarm availability chances. Leoni had called before. She was a kind amiable lady, patient and read with quips and a ready smile!

I made a brew of tea, and got decoking, blowing the tubes through the hearing aids and changing the batteries. The neurotransmitter’s insensitivity kicked in, and I had a few picking up retrieving tasks to do. Amongst the dropsies were prodders, batteries, hearing aids, tubes and various tools! Each one proving harder to pick up than the previous one. Hahaha!

3Wed01gaThen I got back to updating this post. Wondering what time the Phlebotomy nurse might arrive. I was beginning to get a little hungry now. Especially with knowing the unhealthily fatty, but delicious New Zealand lamb, mint, mushrooms and cheesy-potatoes were for dinner!

3Wed01fI got the mushrooms on the simmer, with a bit of lamb gravy and a splash of Sukang Puti extra-strong vinegar.

And the intercom lit up! It was the deliciously desirable, gorgeous, twinkling-eyed Polish Phlebotomy Nurse ♥ come to take my blood!

She had a chinwag while doing me (I wish! Hehehe!) She had a peep at the Inchcock Today and told me of a patient in another High Rise block, who had slipped in Lidl’s on Carlton Road, and broke her pelvis! She also said to me, that if ever she can’t get in and leaves a note through the door, this means she will be calling again, the following day, so now I know! Two wonderful women have now called on me! Lucky devil!

3Wed23I got on with this blog while the lamb cooked. Then got the meal served up.

Another success for the old chap this one. Flavour rating of 8/10. I’d put far too much cheese in the potatoes than I had meant to, but it was good!

I washed the pots, then did the handwashing.

Had a Dizzy Dennis attack while I was in the kitchen (I think), blown if I’m sure what happened afterwards, but in the morning I found I had missed the evening medications again!

WDPT06LWD 20.20.20 23:10hrs: I woke in desperate need of the Porcelain Throne. Nothing unusual there, but how I rose from the recliner and got to the wet room so fast, I can’t recall or understand, I’m just glad I did it. Once again, only just in time! But it was a worrying evacuation. So much blood from the rear end, not messy at all, no excessive pain either, in fact far less than of late. The volume of the released material was just as ginormous. As it has been regularly for the past week or so. Also, no wee-weeing afterwards, that’s not happened in weeks?

I got things, and myself cleaned up and off to the kitchen. Moved the handwashing onto the airers, they were still extremely wet for some reason? (Most likely the failing sensory Neurotransmitters, were not telling the brain the fingers were gripping to weakly?) I got the saucepan on and took the medications. Made a brew, and carried it to the computer area with me, and set to updating the Monday post. Within an hour and a half, I had taken four wee-wees and had two more mugs of tea! All of the wee-wees were of the slightly more forceful LSDOP (Long-Strong-Drawn-Out-Painful) mode?

I remembered the Iceland food delivery is due today. The urge for another mug of tea kept returning, and I was forever going to the kitchen to make the tea, and stopping at the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket), so much so, that it needed emptying and sanitising! While on one of these trips, it dawned on me what had happened.

WDPT05LWD 20.20.20 I had unthinkingly and credulously, forgot to remove the flipping Furosemide, (loop diuretic [water pill]) tablet from the dose-bubble. Which I have been daily for months now, but not this morning! No wonder I’m leaking so often! Haha! This means I shall not be able to get to Arnold and Asda (Walmart), to get the kettle or headphones, for fear of getting caught-out while nowhere near a toilet! I’ll see how it goes, if I can stop the intake of fluid (tea), the urinary demands just might lessen, enough to risk going out. I can hope and do!

Finally, I got the Monday’s Inchcock today finalised 2Tue02aand sent off to WordPress. I sent some pictures to Pinterest. Then went on the WordPress Reader, some cracking stuff on there this morning. Then went on catching-up with the TFZer Facebooking. The wee-weeing was still regular, Tsk!

After resisting the urge for a cuppa for several hours, I weakened. I took two photographs from the unwanted and unliked newish kitchen windows. The worst ones I’ve ever taken, since the stroke! Terrible, blurry, horrible efforts.

The ablutions will need doing shortly. Before the Iceland food arrives.

2Tue03I went to do the handwashing, and the incredible sky changes were taking place. A reddish glow from the rising sun behind the flats kept changing the scene. Into an almost Walt Disney cartoon colouration.

Not a good picture but I took a quick snap of the view.

2Tue04At last, the wee-wees abated. Phew!

STripped for the ablutions, and found the Clopidogrel about the same, the Varicose and spider veins a lot less prominent. Rheumatoid Arthur Itis was giving me some bother, of course, he would. Haha!

2Tue04aWD 20.20.20A After the session, with the usual few dropsies, I took on the painful challenge with my beloved sock-glide, of getting the extra-long bamboo socks on! A struggle that left me with several bruises on the fingers and knees. Hah, well! I’m glad I did, cause they helped keep a warmer on the trip to and back from Arnold.

2Tue05WD 20.20.20 When the Iceland delivery arrived, I found another IC (Inchcock Cock-up) that I’m made. Just look at the size of the Surf liquid soap powder, that I’d bought! I took the shot of it next to a kitchen towel and the China tea mug; to show the relatively massive size of the bottle!  Another Accifauxpa!

I got things ready, and wobbled off down, out and along to the bus stop. A big crowd of Winwoodonians had gathered, and I harkened to the gossiping. The bus arrived, and Mary (Jean) and I got on the side-saddle seats and had a natter en route to Arnold. Mary gt off to go to Wilko, and I stayed on until the Asda (Walmart) store. Where I dropped off the bus and into the shop. I found the kettles and was impressed with the different choices on offer. This caused me a headache, cause I had to pick one out, my dithering and undecidedness came to the fore! I selected one, (£12) in the end but later found out I’d picked a box with a white one in it, not the grey one I thought it was. Never mind.

I went on a search for the headphones, which took me a while to find, but once I saw the dirty-great-big sign hanging from the ceiling saying ‘Headphones’, I located them. I’m quick sometimes yer know, Haha! I opted for a cheap set, that looked to be comfortable to wear, £8, then went on a hobble around the food section. Ending up at the checkout with the kettle, headphones, instant mash and some bread thins. Paying the server, but the machine kept rejecting my card? Luckily I remembered my number, and it took it then?

2Tue06Outside, I took a terrible red-eye photograph, that should have been showing the Nottinghamian pavement cyclist, but he wasn’t seeable in the photo?

I think he was hidden behind the lady with a stick, who he’s just swerved around. Git!

2Tue07There was a good half an hour before the L9 bus was due. So, I crossed the road and had a look in the Fulton Foods Store for any bargains. But there wasn’t any! Well, there was some extra strong cheddar cheese on offer, shredded, but I had to buy two packs to get the special price. And two boxes of Cheese-Nibbles.

2Tue09I paid the lady who was talking to a friend for the whole transaction. I went outside and took this photograph to the left of the shop. The shadows cast by the strong but cold sunshine and the reflections from the glass made good photography difficult. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it, Haha!

2Tue08Then I photographed to the right. Not too many folks about, but the shops seemed to have plenty of people shoplifting in them… I mean shopping in them. (Or do I?)

The bus stop in this picture is the one I made my way to catch the L9 back to the flats. Mary was sat there when I arrived, and we nattered merrily away about nothing and even less than nothing.

WD 20.20.20 She told me that the Wilko Store she went to was closed, due to a break-in last night! Both of us had our hearing aid batteries run out! So it was a bit of a hit and miss, guessing game what the other person was saying, all the way back to the flats! I think we were both confused by that then!

I opened a box of the cheese nibbles, gave Mary one to try and had a taste myself. She liked them, I didn’t, so I gave her the two boxes. Back at the flats we both walked, in silence almost, again to Woodthorpe Court. Both of us needed to get new batteries fitted. Heh!

2Tue12When I got in the door, I found bumph on the floor. But worryingly, a note from the Phlebotomist who had called while I was out!

No one told me she was coming today, just an email from the Sherrington Park Medical Practice, Doctors Surgery receptionist, telling me she will arrange a visit for the Phlebotomist 5Fri01to call to take the blood!

WD 20.20.20 A check on that Email revealed another cock-up on my behalf! The date was given at the bottom, no timing of course. If they had written the day as well, it might have sunk in easier, but, no excuse. Self-Contempt-Mode adopted, with a twinge of shame!

2Tue10Low in spirits now. I got the NZ lamb in the oven cooking and prepped the other foods ready for the dinner. Got the fodder served up, and enjoyed a feast, but my shame at forgetting the blood Angel was niggling at me.

A flavour rating of 8/10 for the meal.

2Tue11Got the pots washed. Got the new headphones on, and settled down in the £300 second-hand, c1968 recliner. Got the TV on, and the new headphones were so much louder and clearer with the new ear-set working fine! I thought, these are not comfortable at all, but I’ll get used to them in time.

I put the ‘For You’re Eyes only’ old Bond DVD on. But it wasn’t for my eyes! Zzzz!

WD 0.30.0B 23:15hrs: I woke, coughed, passed wind, and struggled out of the £300 second-hand, horrendously stained-mucky beige-coloured, c 1968 recliner! The Porcelain Throne being my main point of concentration. I grabbed the four-pronged walking stick and manoeuvred my way around the clothes airer and bits of either nocturnal nibbling or some overnight disaster, to the wet room. With seconds to spare, I got seated as the evacuation began. Quick and painful, but not in the least messy, but the after-haemorrhaging was extravasate-like. Which may point to the internal haemorrhoids bleeding (which I can cope with and understand), or some other new problem? Oh, dear!

1Mon06WDP 11gRWD 0.30.0B Well, by Jiiminee, the pins (legs) had most certainly changed since yesterday! I wonder if the increase in the INR level affects the legs veins? I sure have a mess of assorted Clopidogrel grooves and ridges, varicose and spider veins, thrombosis (phlebitis). Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), spots, bruises, welts, contusions, blemishes, dapples and maculations. All showing through this morning! And RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis) and BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) joining in as well. Cor Blimus! What a state! I’m eager to see how they will look in the morning, probably back to the calm state, I hope so anyway. This photo is one for the Tate Gallery. Hehehe!

I washed, medicated and contact points were antisepticated, and back to investigate the mess on the carpet near the recliner.

WDP 11eLWD 0.30.0B Lucky for me, the detritus was only from my nocturnal nibbling, which I have no memory of again? But a right feasting session I must have had. Crumbs from noshing some puff-pastry fingers and a few scattered chocolate peanuts were cleaned up. Leaving me with Back-Pain-Brenda and AIR (Arthur Itis Rheumatoid) giving me some hassle and discomfort. As I got upright, I spotted an empty salt & vinegar rice-pops bag as well, so collected it, dropped it in the waste bin and went to the kitchen, initially to take the medications.

WDPT03LWD 0.30.0B Boing! Again I had missed taking the evening medications. I took them and decided to take the mornings later on. Moved the handwashing on the airers. Made a brew, and got on the computer to make a start on the updating of the Sunday blog.

As I was setting things up, an idea for a funny (at least I thought so) poem came into my mind. I abandoned starting the post updating and got on with writing, no, creating the humorous ode. It just flowed! I title it Random, waffling thoughts from Inchcock!

Got it all finished, made a graphic and sent got off to WordPress.

Did the updating. With a horrendously unsatisfying stuck indoors day, only a couple of photos were taken, so it didn’t take too long to do.

Then another cuppa (the wee-wees were all SGSS [Short-Gently-Sprinkling-Spraying] ones), and adjusted the handwashing again, and took three photographs of the view from the unwanted, unliked, impossible to reach to clean, light & view-blocking, thick-frames new windows. All in Night Panorama mode.

1Mon04

Nothing like as good as they looked on the camera viewer, Tsk!

I made a start on this post. Then went on the WordPress reader.

Bikkies dunked in a mug of tea, before the ablutionalisationalistic session.

Which was a stand-up-at-the-sink style, as it was a little too early to use the noisy shower! But it went well. Dropsies were again pestering, the toothpaste tube and brush (2), carbolic soap (getting less often now the bar is wearing down in size), flannel, and spectacles. The sock-glide battle was a draw.

I made up some black bags and took them to the waste chute. Got the nibbles in the bag, all dressed warmly and set off to the Winwood Court located ILC Sturmscharfhreress Warden’s Interview room and holding cell. Down in the lift, and along the link-passage. Swiped the door, and into the amazingly-warm welcoming walkway in Winwood Court. To the Sheriff’s office, and handed out the nibbles and Christmas treats and had a mini-natter. Then, into the big Winwood Social Room, had a chinwag with John and Welsh William then I moved along the second link passage to Winchester Court. Their foyer was being done-up, so we had to walk around the lift lobby an1Mon07d through links to the caretaker’s room, and out into the bright heatless sunshine and shiver-making cold!

I took a moody shot of the flats, with Woodthorpe Court being highlighted my heatless sunshine, showing the L9 bus stop sign.

1Mon08A decent ganglet of Winwoodonians had gathered at the bus stop, with a group waiting behind in the Winchester Rubbish cover, trying to keep warm. Angela, Chrissie, Roy with his deadly-to-others, shopping trolley. And the young very-well-off, fit, good-looking, everybody-loves-him, educated, gambling-mad, Nottingham Forest supporter, and family man Malcolm. Who resides two flats away from where I do (in comparative poverty). But it doesn’t bother me! Hahaha! Grand chap.

WDP 11fLWD 0.30.0B We were soon in town. Dropped off on Parliament Street, and hobbled to the Wilko Store. I went straight to where I found the kettle I liked the other day. But could not locate any on the shelves.  I eventually found an assistant to ask for help. She told me they had sold out, but she thinks some more should be arriving soon. What a shame! I pondered and made a decision. (It does happen, not very often I admit) As the Tuesday’s current After-Stroke Sessions have now ended, I would take a long hobble into Arnold in the morning, get some exercise, and call at Asda (Walmart), to get a kettle and some headphones from there!

WDP 11eLWD 0.30.0B So, I thanked her and departed, along the road and into the Poundland Store. Where I arrived at the self-serve checkout and got a bit flustered! It was hectic, and I had a struggle with the Autonomic nerves causing me to drop so many items, it was embarrassing! I lost a bottle of disinfectant, then later a bag of sliced wholemeal cobs, and the most annoying one, the bag of Sherbert Saucers, or rather my efforts to pick it up! The nerve-ends were not responding to touch, and I kept on dropping it repeatedly! I tried with the left hand, but the Peripheral neuralgia-affected right side, would not support my weight as I leant against the checkout to get down. All-in-all, a farce! I could sense the impatience from the poor shoppers behind me in the queue. The area was in pandemonium, with everyone seemingly in a mad rush? Oh, dearie me!

1Mon09No good Samaritan to help or rescue this time, but in the end, I did retrieve the bag of Sherbert Saucers, paid and scuttled wobblingly out of the shop with a reddened face. Out on to Parliament Street, and into a mob of Nottinghamians, milling, rushing, threateningly around. I decided I’d had enough of this hassle, 1Mon09aand made my way towards the Slab Square, on my way to the L9 bus stop, to retreat.

The Poundland Store escapade had left me feeling a tad unconfident and nervous.

1Mon09bI limped around the Slab Square for a few minutes, avoiding the market and many game stall crowds. I took this photographicalisation of a tram leaving the City Centre. There was a Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist in there when I took the shot, but he’s not there now. At least, I can’t find him. Hehe!

Up to the bus stop, and Louis from the Winchester Court flats was at the bus stop, and we had a natter waiting for the bus to arrive, late, which had us both a bit worried. It came late, and I sat in a different side-saddle seat, so I could chinwag with Louis. Which proved to be a mistake. There was no corner-back support to snuggle into on this seat, and I spent a harrowing journey back to the flats, struggling to stay in the position! Tsk!

Many other tenants joined us en route. Back at the flats, they all alighted, and I followed. But there was no chance of my catching them for a natter.

6Sat14I got through the Winchester round-about route, to the walk-through to the Winwood Social Room, empty, and then through the lobby into the Winwood-Woodthorpe link walkway. I met Riechsfhreress and Catwalk Model Warden Deana going in the opposite direction, we shared a few words and a 1Mon10smile. Which was nice!

Into the coldness of Woodthorpe Court, goose-pimples! I turned to take a picture of the new mobility-scooter storage and charging room.

1Mon11Then turned back, to take a shot of Woodthorpe lift lobby, and Christmas tree at the end. It looked to me as if the caretaker Steve, had been busy cleaning it up, while I’d been out galavanting. I reckon the lighting had been worked on as well, it was beautiful and bright in here today.

1Mon12In the elevator, the, whatever it was, that the Wilmott-Dixon lads had scraped the polished steel with, had done an excellent job on it. Luckily, it masked my reflection when I took the snap, so it isn’t all bad. Hahaha!

Up to the flat, got in and reflected on the altercations I’d had at the Poundland tills. If the nerves keep playing up like this, I could be in trouble and might need some assistant or help soon?

Josie called to return the plate, cutlery and tray from her Sunday nosh. She mentioned how much she enjoyed it. She handed me some salad and tomatoes, bless her. I’d just bought some ham trimmings from the Poundland shop, and will have lettuce, Dagwood style, later, I thanked her.

1Mon13I got some battered onions in the oven, and while they cooked, I got the plate of salad and Dogwood style wholemeal mini-cob sarnies made up. Added the onions, and with one of the Morrison substituted crap, flavourless, bruised apples, and a lemon mousse, completed the meal. It was good. 6/10 for taste-rating, it would have been higher, but for the lousy Morrison delivered pathetically insipid bashed about damaged, unwanted, horrible Braeburn apple!

I got the washing-up done. The handwashing was done, wrung and hung!

I got settled to watch a DVD – James Bond’s Moonraker. And what bits I stayed awake for, were better than I remembered them. The rewinding was regular. Hehe!

I had a DAAOJ (Drip-And-All-Over-Job) wee-wee. Back in the recliner that xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting when I was in the Stroke Ward. And he fitted new CCTC camera and searched for my valuables, which he found and took. (I still haven’t got them back yet six-months later)

WDP 14LWD 0.30.0B Where the mind-storming got out of hand. Worries, fears, inequalities, unfairness, Government and politician shenanigans, my ailments, global-warming. Even aliens living amongst us, murderers and terrorists freed to kill again. Brexit and the coming end of the world. All had a share of the waffle and confusion pinging and bouncing about in my mind.

I must have got to sleep eventually, cause I woke up later.

WDPleftWD 50.100.200. 22:25hrs: Woke with a sense of pusillanimousness rampant within. A wishy-washiness, a vulnerability, and acceptance of my ineptness. (What had I been dreaming of?) I lay a while, pondering over my brain’s overnight transmogrification into a whimpering collection of uncontrollable fears and self-dislike. This train of thought soon changed, the moment I moved to get my gargantuanly flabby-body out of the recliner; as Arthur Itis and Duodenal Donald joined forces in giving me something else to fret over; some discomforting pains!

After gingerly rising to my feet, I needed the Porcelain Throne suddenly. Off to the wet room, and on the Throne. A massive evacuation, not messy at all, but bloody. I assumed from Harold’s Haemorrhoids. A clean-up then medicationing, and off to the kitchen.

WDP14aRWD 50.100.200. Where I found the evening medications that I’d not taken. So, I did so. With a good dollop of the insipid Peptac and an extra Codeine 30g, to help counter Harold and Donald. I put the anti-Saccades-Sandra drops in, and the olive-oil in the lug-holes; which gave me a surprise, as I took out the applicator from the right ear, it brought a great big lump of earwax with it! Haha! This helped the hearing a bit, and the damned persistent 24/7 droning, humming noise became more annoying! Humph!

I got the Saturday blog updated. It didn’t take long, even with the right-hand finger-ends Neurotransmitter Sensory nerves playing up. Not many photographs were taken that needed attention.

WD 50.100.200. WDP 14RI went to the kitchen to make a brew and take the morning medications. I made a mistake here, I took another Codeine, that’s three now, in three hours! Huh, Fool! I might fall asleep unexpectedly at any time now. Tsk! Mind you, the headache is easing off. Duodenal Donald will have to be put up with until he decided when to stop, the extra Codienes will not help things in that department. Still, the stabbing pains are no worse, so I might get away with it.

I went on the WordPress Reader. Then made a start on this blog. A quick check on the TFZer Facebooking next. I enjoyed that.

WDP 01b leftWD 50.100.200. Ablutions tackled, and a good session. A tiny cut shaving. Of course, the dropsies were many, but they always are. The only one worthy of note was the carbolic soap when I was in the shower, straight down onto the much-stubbed middle toe! But, I was not too bothered, a silent curse, bent down to retrieve the soap, and clouted my head on the grab bar on the wall! That did bother me a bit! Tsk! But no dizzies, that was great!

03:25hrs: I must now get back to creating some graphics, so I can make up the templates in advance. I hope the nerve-ends will let me work on CorelDraw. Crabs and Grobblecrap!

07:45hrs: I am shattered! But I got a few done, and pleased with them, considering the handicap of the finger-nerves. A mug of tea and some bikkies to dunk, a wee-wee and a minute or two of silent introspection and considerationalisationing, methinks. Back to the graphicationalising. By gum, I got into it, the failing sensory Neurotransmitter from the right side to the brain, eased off a little for some welcome reason, and I got on with producing the graphics, and then the templates!

7Sun10a11:33hrs: It was soon time to stop and get Josie’s meal prepared. (Which left me with the biggest load of washing up to do. Haha!) I made a good choice for her today. Aduki beans being a first for me. I warmed them through with tomato passata, as someone recommended me to, and added a bit of onion salt. Sliced tomato, Spanish, so not very juicy. Gherkins. Sliced apple. Surimi prawn sticks and Tuna with some mayonnaise and vinegar mixed in. Fried dried onions and I  managed to get the cheesy potatoes mashed and crisped up betterer this week. The Gin and tonic and Limoncello dessert on the tray with the cutlery, and delivered it to her door, which is directly opposite my door, handy that! She was on the phone when I rang the bells, so it took a while for her to answer. She was looking very well this morning. The gal handed a tray of lettuce and tomatoes, and I took the meal, which was nice and hot for once, well, the potatoes were. I wanted Josie to get the pots while hot, so a couple of words, thanks for the greenery and tom’s, wished her happy eating, and back to the flat.

I’d been up for about 14 hours by then, and done a decent job of catching up on the graphics, fed Josie, which is my pleasure, so seeing the pile of pots and pans that needed washing, was not a welcome sight. Hehehe! I was going to leave them but thought that with the Neurotransmitters not playing up so much, I’d best get the things cleaned and sorted straight away. So I did!

WDP 09RMaybe it was the nerves being better, plus my satisfaction with getting caught up with WordPress, but I began a cleaning campaign that Fanny Craddock would have been proud of (Not really, but I got a fair bit done before the fatigue and weariness dawned!) I got the equipment piled in the sink all washed. Then did the handwashing. Then got three bags of waste (three waste-bins you see, front and wet room and kitchen) made up, put them balanced on the three-wheeler, added a couple of jars for the recycling bin, and left it near the door, ready to go.

WD 50.100.200. But I just had to go back and check everything before leaving. I don’t know the right word; if there is one, but the brain was convinced I had missed something, forgotten something or had not done a task that I should have. It took me a while looking around and checking, not easy when you don’t know what you’re searching for in the first place. Not that I was fully assured, but finding nowt untoward, I ventured out to the waste chute and deposited the black bags, then in the elevator down to the lift lobby.

7Sun10Around to the main lobby, which is still being upgraded, and the new inner door had been moved to the right as you look at the photo. It’s (the lobby) is beginning to look something like now. one tiny thing, people with walking aids or mobility scooters, will no longer have a direct passage out through both doors and will have to manoeuvre a little. I would never have thought of this a year ago, but having a handicap and disablement makes one notice them. A little dark in there, I couldn’t sit to do my crosswords in that lack of light. Not complaining about it at all though, obviously a lot of work still to be done.

7Sun08I went out and put my sauce and beetroot jars in the alcohol-bottle filled green bin. They do like their plonk here! (♫ Jealousy, ’twas all over my Jealousy! ♫ Hahaha!)

I had a look around on Chestnut Walk, but there was no one to talk with, they probably knew I was coming. Hehe!

7Sun12I got back up to the hovel, had a wee-wee (A rarity today?) and got my own din-dins started. It was easy-peasy preparing it today.

I rewarmed the cheesy potatoes from those I’d cooked for Josie. Roast onions, beetroot, tasteless Spanish tomatoes, Aduki beans, and frankfurters. Not a super flavoursome dinner, but acceptedly good. Flavour rating of 6.5/10. The tomatoes and rather bland frankfurters let it down.

KWThe Aduki beans, I’d never tried them before, I thought must have been a sort of small kidney beans, but much sweeter. I looked them up, and I was wrong. “The adzuki bean, (Vigna angularis); from azuki (Japanese: アズキ(小豆)); sometimes transliterated as azuki or adzuki), or English red mung bean is an annual vine widely cultivated throughout East Asia for its small bean. The cultivars most familiar in Northeast Asia have a uniform red colour, but white, black, grey, and variously mottled varieties also are known. ‘Well, they were sweet tasting and pleasant enough on my plate!’

Sleep was being demanded by my body and mind. Washed the few things used in making the nosh, and moved the handwashing onto the airers.

I was soon settled down in the recliner. So tired, but sleep was resisting me? I put the TV on and noticed that some Nightmare Kitchen episodes were on in about three hours time. Try as I might I could not nod-off if I had done so, I’d have been bound to wake up later in time for the Kitchen programmes to start, but it didn’t happen, no kip at all. Still, the bonus was I would be able to see the kitchens all the way through. (Huh!) I managed to see the first one up until the commercial break came on… then the sleep came! Tsk!

Inchcockski – Fri 29 Nov 2019: The brain remains suffarcinated with nugatory, knick-knackery!

0Nov 29

23:10hrs: I stirred with the mind-blasting fretting, worrying, fearing thoughts rampant in my grey-cells box in my head! I lay there, midst the mess from the nocturnal nibbling all around me, feeling a sad figure and with my spirits lamentably low, my responses to the worries were one of simple acceptance, Que será, será?

Eventually, the brain got around to considering the day’s needs. The Anticoagulation-Thrombophlebitis Team Member is calling today, well, with how things have gone lately, I should say, might, be calling to see me! My EQ, who was spot on in warning me of the upcoming Health Clinic Farce yesterday, hinted on problems with this visit?

WDP 02LdWD 60.25.0 Then, out of the blue, and urgently, I had to remove my grotesque, wobbly-bellied body-mass from the second-hand recliner, and hasten to the Porcelain Throne. And what a change this session turned out to be! I was soon settled on the seat, awaiting the usual burst of activity at the innards own timing, and got just pain, blocked, but I could feel the warm liquid flowing, but nothing substantial. So, out came the crossword book, the pain eased, but nothing moved. I was well into the crosswording and having some success for once, and suddenly and unpremeditatedly, a mass of evacuation material escaped, with a splosh, that sounded like a torpedo hitting the water, I felt the splash! This pain also brought forth a sigh relief; a sort of “Ahahahaaa!” An involuntary smile followed.

A few seconds to recover from the shock, and then things had to be checked over and medicated. There was no mess, but I had the splashed water over my bum, no bleeding from Harold Haemorrhoid’s, not even the usual aroma of putridness? Little Inchies fungal lesion was barely bleeding at all, just specks. Then an operation clean-up was activated, during which, oddly, a wee-wee was needed. Another shock, although not a bad one – the old Hosepipe-like jet-propelled longish effort, that has not been had for ages, was almost enjoyed. By gum, my bladder and innards can be so entertaining! Haha!

WDP 10LWD 60.25.0 All refreshed and cleaned-up, and off to the kitchen. Where I found that I had missed the evening medication taking, Tsk! Then I realised I had not done the handwashing either! I was a little disappointed in myself, but still happy, well, content, with the much improved Porcelain Throne session. “Little things please little minds!” Then while getting the sterilised out of the fridge, the Polyneuropathy finger-ends caused me to drop the milk bottle! Quick as a flash, the left hand grabbed the bottle to prevent it from falling on the floor! I have to admit to a spot of smugness over this and thought how clever I was. The top of the bottle had been dropped, of course. If I ever find it, I’ll pick it up. Hehe!

I took the medications, both the P.M. & A.M. doses, less the water-tablet. Had a guzzle of the ineffectual Peptac antacid, put the olive oil in the ear-holes, put the eye drops in and passed wind. Which oddly enough, seemed to make me want another wee-wee? Which turned out to be of the HDTBS (Heavy-Duty-Torrential-But-Short) style. I wondered if this new easier style of wee-weeing and the sudden Struggle-Wait-Thunderdrop Porcelain Throne modes, had been brought on in some way, by last night’s Roast Vegetable Risotto? Just a thought!

WDP 001 LaWD 60.25.0 I made the brew at last and got on the computer to update the Thursday post. Phew! Worra time that took! The finger-ends are playing up something awful this morning, I’ve surely spent more time correcting than typing! I very nearly dropped the mug when I made a cuppa but did spill most of the tea on me, the floor and the counter! Then knocked my elbow (Funny-bone – Huh!), as I got back up after clearing the mess! Crabs and Grobblecrap!

I got carried away doing the TFZer Facebooking and spent far too long on it, so I had to stop myself, so I could at least get a few CorelDraw graphics made up.

5Fri01WD 60.25.0 An email from the Sherringham Park Medical Practice had arrived, with the results of the Angel-of-desire’s Warfarin blood test. The level had gone for, 1.6, to 4.8! It’s a shame about the nurse and surgery getting confused, not arriving, and not turning up until four days later. This could have identified the problem earlier and saved my going through worrying why I was feeling so cold; while tenants around me said how much warmer, it was. The thin blood means an increased risk of unstoppable bleeding, and it doesn’t half make me feel cold! The best part of the message was their assurance that a phlebotomy Angel will be arranged for me. Mind you, it was arranged last week, and they didn’t turn up! Worra life! If I’d known what I was going to go through in my old age, I might have done more bungee-jumping. Hehe!

Went for a wee-wee (which was back to the INHBT (I-Needn’t-Have-Bothered-Trickling) style? And carefully made another brew.

Got the handwashing done, wrung and hung. Then did the ablutions. Which had no shaving or toothbrushing cuts! No toe stubbing! But, oh, so many of the dropsies. Toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving foam can, razors (5), fla5Fri02nnel, carbolic soap, shower head, towel, socks, Germoloid tube and as parting dropsy, the shower chair when I was returning it after wiping! However, it missed my body completely! Worrying this, not usual at all! The pins seemed to be getting some new Clopidogrel markings, but the Deep Vein Thrombosis bulges were almost non-existent today? Might have something to do with the Warfarin INR being so high, maybe, perhaps?

WDP 02LdWD 60.25.0 Ablutions all done, chair back in, taps, heater and light all checked, I turned and gave the shoulder a-right good clout as it came into contact with the door frame! I was amazed at how much it hurt. I believe I may have silently muttered something along the lines of ‘Well, flipping ‘eck’, or similar. Haha!

I got all well and warmly wrapped up and went down to the ILC Wardens holding-cell office. No one in, so I nipped up in the lift to Winwood Court’s rooftop and took some Al Fresco photographs. I had to take care that the three-wheel walker didn’t skid off on its own accord on the frost and ice, or I slipped over, but all went okay. (Something else to fret over! Hahaha!) I didn’t stay out there long. The blocked drains and overflowing water looked almost pretty with cracked frozen, cracked water pattern.

I sat in the big Winwood Social area room and had a go at the crosswords. And did well with them. Getting answers that I was going back to try yet again, for at least four clues. Smug-Mose-Adopted! Then I went out to the bus stop, where a ganglet of residents were chatting away, Mary, Penny, Chrissie, Malcolm and Louie, who looked a lot better today and was moving easier, bless him. I harkened to the gossiping, snidery, moaning and jollity being bandied about. Mary was not feeling very well, I’ll nip down this weekend to see how she is going. Mounted the bus, in the side-saddle-seat and got the crossword book out. I got two more previously tried answers en route to town, which was not too easy, cause of the constant fighting to keep in the seat when the bus cornered or braked.

I had one of my the shortest ever hobbles in town.

5Fri14

I got off on Parliament Street and had a chinwag with Mary. She still looked poorly to me, not her usual gossipy self.

WDP 09aLWD 60.25.0 We parted, and I went into the Wilko store, to get myself a new kettle. I took a while perusing the kettles on offer. I found one that seemed perfect, apart from the price. It was thin enough to fit into the space my current broken one used, sturdy-looking, no fancy bits of metal or plastic stuck on it, dark brown, and I chose it. Added to the fabric conditioner and Ylan & Freesia scented washer and joined the queue at the tills. Worth mentioning at this point, that I’d had no visits from Dizzy Dennis at all! When my turn came, I was embarrassed to find I’d left the cash-card at the flat! So had to hand-back the kettle. There are times when the realisation of one’s infallibility, becomes an accepted factualism! This was such a time! Humph!

I paid in cash for the cleaning things, and departed, going into the Poundland Shop. Where I again suffered no dizzy-spells! I came out with a bottle of liquid soap powder, Bright-Burst freshener, and some Lavender Dettol. I paid without any hassle, apart from the tutting and groaning of those behind waiting. It did take me a while. The ailing neurotransmitter sensory nerves caused problems with my gripping anything. The things I dropped, were hastily picked up an placed on the shelf by a tutting assistant. Oh, dearie me!

I got out of the shop and did the ultra-mini hobble to and down Clumber Street, along Long Row, and up to King Street to the L9 bus stop on Queen Street. Taking some photographicalisations on the way.

5Fri12I had about fifteen minutes before the bus arrived, and Louie came a few seconds later. I thought I’d got a good photo of him, but I make a mess of it and got him looking away from me. Tsk! We had a few natters that we could not fully enjoy; when the time crept beyond the five minutes past the hour, which the L9 was due. It was nearly twenty-passed when the bus did come.

WDPT04LWD 60.25.0 We got on, and with me in a side-saddle seat, I could not talk with Louie en route. The keeping oneself seated, was even more difficult this time, as the bus driver was trying to catch-up on his time-table, and threw the bus around like a dodgem car. I had more aches and bruises to contend with. Haha!

We got back to the flats, struggled with the new bruise on the leg making movement awkward, and went with Lousie to his Winchester Court lobby, and I opened the door for him. We parted, wishing the lad all the best, and I took the link-passage to Winwood Court. In the lobby, I met Angela and Roy, handed them some nibbles and had a little chinwag. We all started to move along the link-passage to Woodthorpe Court, but Angie and Roy left in their wake. By the time I was half-way along the corridor, they were exiting the swipe door at the other end! A grand-couple, Angie and Roy.

I got in the apartment, had a wee-wee, that proved to be another of the PWWDIB (Pathetic-Weak-Why-Did-I-Bother) style. I don’t think the high INR level should affect my passings, should it?

I received a landline phone call. It was my xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete. (Who damaged my recliner while sleeping in it, while he was flat-sitting when I was in the Stroke Ward. And he fitted new CCTC cameras, he erected a drone-landing platform outside and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet six-months later)

He was updating me about his Pet Scan results. I’m afraid they were inconclusive. They do not know what the black spot is. So, the lad is going to have a Pelvis bone scrape! (Memories of mine came back, and I swear I could feel the soreness again afterwards! Haha!) His biopsy will take place on December 10th! All my best wishes, mate, it’s horrible, not knowing! Fingers crossed for him.

5Fri13I got the nosh prepared and served up. A salad of sorts. Tomato and chicken slices sarnies, sliced apple, chips (fries), beetroot, garden peas, mini-sausages and pork pie meat. Potato biscuits add lemon mousse as an aside. I ate all the lot of it. Leaving only a few crumbs on the plate. Super! Taste-Rating: 8.5/10!

Wash the pots, and got out an old DVD to view, ‘Seven’. But, I kept on nodding off, waking, looking out at the rain, falling asleep again, waking passing wind, nodding… well, you get the idea. I went off for an extended period, and shot awake around 11:00hrs, the noise of the humming drowning noise all around the building, was horrendous! It drove me to distraction!

WDP 02LcWD 60.25.0 I got up for a wee-wee, stubbed my toe, dropped the four-pronged walking stick and knocked over the spring water bottle!

So, I made an early start on making up some graphics.

This week’s Whoopsiedangleploperisationing!

4Thu04

  • Monday: I had to go down to beg the ILC Deana to phone the Police for me about the Pegasus form, then sort the envelope out for me.
  • And she phoned the Medication Mangement people for me, about a double-booking. Well looked after I was.
  • Then I nipped out to post the police letter.
  • I forgot to mention the leaking tap in the kitchen sink. Grumph!
  • Back to the flat, and I’d missed the Phlebotomy nurse, who according to the note called at 09:30hrs, and it was then 0934hrs, talk about bad luck! The letter said I have to ring the surgery for an appointment.
  • So, after many attempts, I got through to them. I was told I had to go to the surgery for the blood test on Thursday at 11:40hrs.
  • The phlebotomy team called later on and said they would make an appointment again and will come Wednesday (today). I asked if she knew what time, so I could make sure I was in. She said: ‘I’ve no idea, the nurse will ring you before coming’. She didn’t! Crabs and Grobblecrap!
  • Tuesday: Worra day. Got up and collapsed in a heap, landing entangled with the walking stick and swivel chair! Dizzy Dennis.
  • Got soaked in the rain going to town. Nearly fell off the bus getting off.
  • Had a Dizzy Dennis attack in Tesco.
  • Then I found myself on the floor in the shopping mall as I was leaving, people all around me, and no idea how or what happened. Crabs and Grobblecrap!
  • Trod on a loose paving slab on Goldsmith Street, and got the foot and socks drenched! Crabs and Grobblecrap!
  • This made the After-Stroke session hard physically and mentally, and I have many blank spots about what happened in the Physio hall? Crabs and Grobblecrap!
  • Got up this morning, no nurse arrived. I was bewildered, had the tumble.
  • Wednesday: Accifauxpa with losing grip and dropping the bowl of handwashing.
  • The Morrison order gave unwanted substitutes, and the apples were all bruised.
  • Morrison did not take off the Voucher for £10 saving.
  • I rang the Phlebotomy to check that a nurse was coming, told she should be here by 13:00hrs, it is now 13:25hrs, no show.
  • So, with the last INR reading of only 1.6. Point .01away from the Red level. Christ, that is so close to having to use the Anoxaprin injections, but what can I do?
  • I then lost the internet again. Crabs and Grobblecrap!
  • A headache and toothaches have been with me all day.
  • And I’ve just hit my knee of the sock glide when I went for a wee-wee!
  • I’ve felt cold all day, although the thermometer reads 20°.
  • Following on later: The nurse rang, she’s not coming today, but (supposedly anyway) in the morning, well not morning, twixt 10:30 to 12:30hrs. Crabs and Grobblecrap!
  • I must remember Thursday’s much-rearranged arrangements: 08:30hrs: Podiatrist st Sherwood Health Centre – City Care. Leoni Mee has been Cancelled! Rearranged for Wed 4th @ 09:30>12:00hrs – Phlebotomy Nurse sometime after 10:30hrs.
  • Thursday: As I fought my way out of the chair and grabbed the walking stick, the thoughts of the correctional needs that had to be done came into my feeble, yet tortured mind. It was hell!
  • Off to the Sherwood Health Centre Podiatrist. Fought through the wet leaves, mud,  and rain and got there for 08:00hrs. No one on reception. Saw nurse, who said sit in the waiting room, someone should fetch you, so I did.
  • At 08:30hrs, I went to see the receptionist; who asked me if had received an email or text, telling me it had been cancelled? Crabs and Grobblecrap! I found the text, which had been sent at… 08:10hrs! So I was stood at the reception when it was sent! Crabs and Grobblecrap!
  • I thanked her with a sideways smirk and left to hobble back to the flat.
  • I ended up at the flat with half of the leaves and mud from Woodthorpe Grange Park on the trolley wheels and my shoes. Which took me near enough an hour to clean off before I dare go inside the building! Crabs and Grobblecrap!
  • Friday: Ablutionalisationing cracked shoulder on the door.
  • Dropped my mug of tea,
  • Leaving the wet room, I turned and gave my shoulder a right good crack on the door frame! Yeeks!
  • Stubbed my toe, fell over the walking stick and knocked over the spring water bottle!
  • I went into the Wilko store to get myself a new kettle. When I got to the checkout, I didn’t have the card with me! So I had to leave the kettle. I did feel a clot!
  • Saturday: Coming Soon! Hehehe!
