TFZer Battles the Virus!

23:55hrs: I stirred back into imitation life, passed the seemingly regulatory blast of wind as the innards rumbled away. Up and out of the recliner with little difficulty, this morning, caught my balance and passed an FBL (Forceful-Blasting-Lengthy) style wee-wee in the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and off to the kitchen to make a brew of Glengettie tea.
Moving with such ease that it almost had me worried?
I got the kettle on and took a photograph of the morning view, from the light & view-blocking new kitchenette windows.

As I was closing the window, the ailment free start to the day soon ended—the adventitious right leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance kicked-off. I think I may have dented the cupboard door with my right patella as it slammed into the door a couple of times! It was only a short fling, but was enough to leave me with BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) and CKC (Cathy’s-Knee-Cartilage) giving me some gip! When I made and took the first sip of tea, the toothache started as well!
Judging by the warm wet sensation in the PPs, I think that Little Inches fungal lesion had been pulled in the dance and was bleeding. Off to the wet room, to find this was so. Ten minutes, and much discomfort later, I’d cleaned things, washed and medicated and got fresh PPs on. I was a smidge more unoptimistic for the day, now!
I got the computer booted up to load last nights photos, and the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived, so back to the wet room. (The most used room this morning, Haha!)

Oh my, oh my, and Wowser! I settled, and with no signs of any movement, I got the crossword book out, I’d got one answer written in, and the evacuation began, with little effort from me. A big torpedo again, yet amazingly. No pain and no bleeding! Damned messy though! Cleaned up (again) and back to the computer.

The tea had gone cold of course, so off to make another one, Co-op 99 this time. I did the Health Checks while waiting for the water to boil. The sphygmomanometer results were not good. SYS up to 181 and the pulse up to 92! I’d hoped things were getting better with the SYS, the last few
were 162, 168, 167 and now this, 181? Tsk!
The Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer gave a better reading of 36.8°c and was back in the green waiting range colour.

The tea had gone cold again, so off to make a brew of Thompsons Punjana. I saw the Morrison substituted can of chilli-con-carne, and pondered on what to have for my nosh later on. The Stagg and a tin of beans of some sort, I’ve plenty to choose from bean-wise. Might add some tomatoes, onions and make a drop of gravy to go in as well. Then again, knowing my dithering, dilly-dallying and tergiversation, it may be something else I decide on by the time I’m ready to start the cooking?
I got back to the computer and started updating the Wednesday post. But drinking the tea was just too painful with the toothache.
Got the post finished in a couple of hours. Some odd noises while I was doing it, from somewhere above the flat? Hard to describe, though. A sort of rattling come tap-tapping sound? And the flaming ‘Hum’ was slowly getting so much louder.
I posted off the blog. Emailed the link, Pinterested some snaps, and went on Facebooking catch-up.
I went on the CorelDraw and used the photo that Brother-in-law Pete had emailed about his hair growing and him being in remission (Marvellous!), to make a humour graphic. I hope he likes it and gets a laugh from it. Hahaha! Well done, Pete!
Carried on with the Facebooking. Then went on the WordPress Reader, ended up sorting and answering the comments.
Several more wee-wees was taken, but they had, just like yesterday, have gone down to the weak WUNT (Weak-Unwilling-Negligible-Trickling) style.
As I got up to have another wee, BPB and CC were both still protesting about the earlier involuntary right leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance, in no uncertain terms. By hurting, a lot! Hahaha!

Spotted a card had come through the letterbox. Royal Mail seems I have a parcel at their depot, they can’t deliver it cause there is some money to pay to cover short postage. Is this a con-job? Mmm!
I’ll ask someone what they think if I ever get to see anyone.
The fog and mist were freezing, as I opened the window to try to take some snaps of the weather wintery weather, well, it is January. (See how quick I was there? Haha)
I looked further into what to dine on today. And got the meal prepped, far too early in the day, but I carried on with it. I opened the can of Kala Chana beans, drained them and tasted some of them. They
were okay tastewise and soft enough to risk with the damned toothache.
That’s the toothache that the dentist told me, is nothing to worry about! Nothing for her to worry about maybe! Swine!
I put some mixed Oxo in with the beans and got them into the saucepan. (That’ll be the one I burnt, last night) Sliced some tomatoes and onions, and I added them to the pan and gave everything a joy-good stirring up, all ready to just warm up later. What, do yer think? I do hope it comes out alright.
Well, on the last template now. So I need to get at least one made up for tomorrow. So, I had to make some graphics up. Onto CorelDraw and did so. A long job. Got the needed graphics finished at long last. Making the templates is another long job, but that will have to wait until I get the ablutions sorted out. Back in a bit, I hope!
I’m back.
Everything, (well, not BPB or Toothache Thomas, but other than these) went spiffingly, ablution-wise. My recently acquired acrasia was all calm for once. Why? I’ve no idea! The total dropsies were only about half-a-dozen. Not a single Balance-Brain, or Dizzy Dennis attack! Only two tiny cuts shaving! After drying off without incident, and medicationalisationing so comfortably, I was tempted to hang on in the wet room for a while for some calamity to happen, I felt it must come, but it didn’t. Hehehe!
I set about getting the templates started. And boy, did take me a while. The template log looked like this when I started, just the actual templates to make up now I have all the graphics done and ready now.

No interruptions, I got belting at it… Seven hours later, I got it finished!

I kept checking on the CCC (Chilli-Con-Carne) in the saucepan as I put the heat back on. I tasted some, it was a little stong for me, but I liked it. The new beans seem to go well with all the other stuff I added to this aromatic, veritable nosh.
I took a couple more photographs of the evening view, to the accompaniment of Herberts, banging and scuffing.

Then I served up the meal and got the saucepan etc. washed quickly. As I mentioned earlier, it was a tad strong, but as I ate it, I began not to notice it so much. No bread was eaten with it, just a lemon dessert afterwards. The flavour rating given was 7.9/10, well praiseworthy. But, I kept spilling the liquid down my front and dirtying the quilt. Humph!
I got up and washed the things up. I was getting proper cold again in the flat. Well, it does if some idiot keeps opening the window to take photographs. Chuckle!
No Thought Storms again, as I settled in the c1968 recliner. Put theTV on, but didn’t see any of it, for Sweet Morpheus came so easily. Not surprising really, as it was three hours passed my usual head-down time.
The peace lasted for four hours then something, perhaps a noise of some sort (I think), had me springing awake. I had to do a search for the cause of whatever it was that disturbed my slumber, nothing found. By then, I’d stubbed my toe, walked into the door frame, and needed a wee-wee… Tsk! So, stayed up and got the updating done on this blog.

23:20hrs: It’s getting back to normal now; I woke up, involuntarily passed wind, and needed a wee-wee. Accompanied by the almost ever-present SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley), and near-agony from BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda).
I adopted my investigative-mode to try to work out why I was running short on the Codeines.

The new Chinese made, Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, showed a reading of 36.8°c. Which shows as being in the green, as acceptable! Compared to yesterdays reading of 37.5 in the red, it is a good one.
I stopped to make another brew of Glengettie, and had, wait for it, two wee-wees, one after the other?
Made yet another mug of tea, Co-op 99 this time, and hard to believe, but I had another weaker wee-wee!
with. Hehehe!
Then, back to the wet room, to medicate the areas in need, that for some reason I’d not done earlier. I took the clothes with me to change into after the medicationalisationing was done. And the landline rang and flashed!
I made up some waste bags and took them to the rubbish chute. Returned and getting the three-wheeler in the flat, backwards cause it’s usually easier, I caught my ankle bone against the door edge. I recall saying something like, “Well, blow me!”, as I laughed off the incident, as the right leg went into a mini-dance routine, and I hit my toe against the bottom panel. Luckily, me being a heroic man of phenomenal bravery, I was not bothered in the least bit, of course! Ahem!
Carrington, Nottingham NG5 2DA, next to the pub, near the launderette and Lidl store, and have no lids to allow the tablets to spill all over the place and get lost! Deana told me it was time to take down the Christmas cards, so I did. I took this photo earlier to remind me to ask her, cunning, eh?
Well shattered now, I’ll try again to make a meal that I can eat all of.
I was originally, going to have a steak slice, but I had to make do with the Morrison substituted chicken and bacon pie. Didn’t find or taste any bacon in it, mind. The Leicester cheesy potatoes came out alright. The Spanish tomatoes were not too bad for once. The specially-burnt garden peas tasted fine! And, the lemon dessert went down a treat.

00:10hrs: I stirred back into an imitation of the absurdity of life, and involuntarily passed wind. The couple of rumbles from the innards, then I grappled with my substantive, overly-sufficient, superabundant, unweildly, flobby-bellied body, and got up on my feet, painfully this time, due to CC (Cartilage Cathy) being very tender underneath the right kneecap area, for some unknown reason.
I tore off the plaster on the arm from the blood taking, to find another new thing, the arm vein seems to have bled a little, which is no surprise of course, but the blood under the skin looked a little pinkish. Mmm? Of course, it could be my eyes, with me being colour blind on reds, maybe.
flipping pulse was up, to 97 bpm! Can’t win!
Made a brew of Glengettie, I and cracked on with the updating of yesterdays blog.
The tea had gone cold (Fancy that!) I went to wash the mug, and for some unrealised reason, all of the lights outside seemed to be so much brighter than they usually are. It could just be Saccades Sandra or the achromatopsia. The scene looked beautiful to me, even though it wasn’t an outstanding photograph.

I made some brekkers. Savoury, of course. The tiny cheese and pickle pork pies from Iceland are deliciously tangy, and for once I could taste a bit of it. Which makes me think that the taste-buds are regaining their flavour-appreciating days if old. Yeehaa!
time, that I ticked everything almost as no substitute. Not the milk and bread cause that wouldn’t matter so much… mind you, even they are likely to send disinfectant as a substitute for bread.
A teenager was taken to hospital with a reported gash to his head after masked men allegedly attacked him in his home. Police say a 15-year-old boy suffered stab wounds to his eye, leg and head during the incident. His injuries have since been described as not life-altering.
There were photographs of Nottingham, yesterday, the first day of the new lockdown.

top of the trolley was slipping off the top of the trolley-walker, all I did was grab it, it wasn’t heavy, and put it back between the handlebars… But, this was enough to set of BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda), and she’s been hurting ever since, and was as I finally got my head down on the recliner in the flat, a couple of hours or so later! All a part of ‘The mysteries of ‘Woodthorpe Court’. The mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, extraterrestrials, spectres. gnomai, phantasms, ghost, succubuses, the grotesque succubae, fata morganas and ectoplasms that have been sent to taunt, irritate and poke mullock at Inchcock! (And very successful they are, too!)

01:35hrs: In slow motion this morning, the gradual renewal of consciousness arrived, with the brain working straight away! Not very well, a little confused, but activated! Facts, worries, fears etc. soon started milling about in my poor battered mind. Yes, it was a Thought-Storm!
The £38.99 Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer readings showing that the SYS at 162, was the same as yesterday. If I remember right. Still a smidge high, but it always has been for months now. The annoying thing is that whenever a medical professional takes the BP, the Sys is around 145? Even doing so with the same machine!
Retirement they call it, huh! Never been busier!
I
spent even longer than the last time trying to clear things! I got the stick to try to reach and break up the torpedo again, the stick broke. Flushed and refilled the tank several times, to many to count, put bleach down it, toilet cleaner, disinfectant, more bleach, and still it kept coming back up!
I took this shot with the Canon camera. Then put the kettle on, it’s about time I tried a mug of Glengettie.
nouse to chinwag while doing it.
I got the Chilli-Con-Carne can in the saucepan and added some Squid Sauce (Anchovy), made some gravy and added it with the garden peas. O actually felt I could manage this, at last, I felt hungry again. I’ve not been sop desiderate over a meal in weeks, I just hope to eat it
and enjoy it. It looked like it was well-eatable to me.
I got the meal served up in the basin and the cobs on the tray. Down in the recliner, put the TV on to watch, got ‘The Bunker’ showing on TV film on, and started to wallow in the food, and enjoy the film. Peace, contentment and satisfaction, great!
The landline light flashed, oh, dearie me, what timing. I fought my way out of the recliner without any Accifaupas and got to answer the phone in time before it rang off.

22:50hrs: On the reactivation of my brain cells, I found myself in a semi-confused state of mind. I soon started to identify the ailments that were in an active, destructive mode and mood!
down than I was yesterday. The regulatory wee-wee was taken. But not of the weak unwilling variety as yesterday, this one was of the PSSP (Persistent, Short, Sharp, painful) mode, as were the next five of them over the next hour!

Onto CorelDraw, I did a graphic or two for the future templates, of some Thoughts.

The wee-wees were slowing down (frequency-wise) and had changed mode into a PSS (Persistent, Short, Sharp) mode, with each one showing CMD (Cessational Micturition Dribble). Variety be the spice of life?

Everything was done and served up. And delivered at the agreed time of 12-Noon! Spot-on the dot.

TFZer & Alcoholic Keith, has redesigned his new flat.

022:10hrs: After a grand four-hours kip, I stirred back into a mock, ersatz, imitation life, in need of a wee-wee.
Washed my hands, and started the Health Checks, then took the medications.
A summons to the Throne arrived, and it felt imperative that I got to the Throne in time… Oh, dear! But I managed it.

The sounding much-like heavy machinery starting up, followed minutes later with the sound of it dying down again, just repeated itself once more. I’ve started shivering for some reason, feeling so cold. I checked the heater, its warm, but only just? Looked at the thermometer-humidity thingy, then checked it against the wall thermometer. One indicates it is 38°c, the other 23°c? Was it something to do with the heating, the noise I mean?
got breakfast made up. I really did feel hungry and made a decent plateful. Once I settled to eat it, I could manage even a quarter of it. Everything tasted different than I expected? Horrible! Even the mini pork and pickle pie and MArmite cheese were tasteless. The majority of it ended up in the bin. What a shame!
Then got the meal served-up and in the dish. It looked good, I’d got the milk roll bread to soak up the liquids, and started the feasting…

23:45hrs:

I got the medications taken, and Health Checks completed. And with two unwanted surprises. The sphygmomanometer’s SYS reading was at 184. What? I hope I last until Monday when the nurse arrives to take the blood for the Warfarin test.
Then the Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer reading came out as 37.5°c. I thought it was a good one, but the background turned to red, as a warning that it was too high? A bit worrying this is. I checked on the NHS site for Coronavirus symptoms and got this snipped from the site.
Onto the computer, and got the pictures uploaded. Another trickling wee-wee, a mug of tea, and started to update the Thursday blog. I pressed on regardless (I’m getting better at editing and correcting mistakes now, I just wish I wouldn’t make them in the first place, Haha!) Three more wee-wees, and another two hours and I got the blog finished.
Got some late brekkers/snack sorted out. Too tired to bother with much, so bunged a brown part-baked baguette in the oven for ten minutes, and I lathered it in Marmite! Added a bag of Marmite flavoured crisps. Enjoyed it, too! Flavour 7.6/10.

23:45hrs:
I got the hurtful stinging job of cleaning up and medicating Little Inchies fungal lesion. One of the genuinely more difficult and almost harrowing jobs of all the ailment treating. This and using the Sock-Glide, are tasks I do not look forward to at all!
Then, went to get the Health Checks done. I recall thinking to myself, I hope the SYS will have come back down. But No! It had gone up to 183 from yesterdays 180!
Updated blog.
Ablutions tackled, got the crossword book out, seated, no time for crosswording, though. The actions started and flowed freely, but still rather painfully, messy and bleeding again, the same as it was yesterday morning.

Went to make a brew, took a snap of the descending fog from the thick-framed light and view-blocking kitchen windows. I made a mug of Glengettie tea, got a handful of biscuits to go with the cuppa. I took the tea through to the computer; first, I try not to use the right hand for carrying hot drinks, in case Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters die-off, and I drop the drink. I put the tea down and returned to get the camera from the kitchenette.
The Iceland Foods delivery man cameth. I let him in and made my way to the front door. Which seemed like a good idea, Hehe!
Confusion was in a pestering mood. Oh, and nipping onto Gmail as they came in
and went to investigate what to have for my nosh. I’m sure I had a plan in mind for the meal earlier, but it had gone off into the ether.

00:00hrs: As I woke, half-hanging out of the recliner, with the bottled water, headphones, woolly-hat, spectacles, pen and pad and other bits on the floor around the chair, there were little bits of the dream I must have been having, milling about in my head…
So, I’ve been up for around five-minutes – A tumble onto my knees, CC, and RAI giving me grief, then SSS joins in, a pathetic wee-wee, and now I’ve just stubbed my toe taking the bucket to be sanitised!
The latest figures for Nottingham was not up to date, because of the holiday period, obviously.
The national Patients Admitted graph looked like a bit of a spike is developing,
after a dip?
spectres, poltergeist, spirits, manifestations, zombies, daemons, cacodemons, rakshasas, hellions, aliens, extraterrestrials, hobgoblins, apparitions, elfins, pishogues, apparitions, or gremlins?
On with the dating of this bog, then decided some brekkers would be a good idea. A Jenny supplied pickled egg, halloumi sticks and a Cornish pastie. A fair feast I found veritably tasty!
Porcelain Throne arrived. Apart from losing a fair bit of blood, things went well enough. I got the ablutions done at the same time. Which went well, a few dropsies, no more than ten, mind. Two decent sessions! The legs were looking good too.
When I came out of the wet from into the kitchenette, there had been a slight covering of snow while I was ablutioning. Took this picture from the unliked, light and view-blocking window.
some graphics done. The internet was so slow and causing problems. I phoned Jenny, to wish a happy new year and see how she, Nora and Frank, were doing. They seemed okay, Jenny was pragmatic, is the word methinks, about the current situation.
I got some waste bags done up, took them to the chute, and the big bag down to the caretaker’s bin.

23:50hrs: I woke, wanting a wee-wee, that felt rather urgent. No time for a preamble, I manipulated my colossal-wobbly stomached torso from the £300 second-hand, c1968 recliner. I hobbled over to the with the greatest of speed available to me, to take a wee-wee.
Not only that, but I felt drained of energy afterwards? Something amiss here? The thought of the treatment and put-downs I had suffered on my last visit to the Oncologist, was enough, to encourage me not to call them, but to wait to see how things develop, first. (How dare she tell me to stop drinking Glengettie tea and go onto the crap-tasting decaffeinated type!) Hehehe!
I washed the dandies and got the kettle on. Made up some waste bags and got them in the box on the three-wheeler-walking guide. The box seems to have got filled-up a lot quicker than it normally does? I may have made the bags up a little too large to fit in the chute? Humph!
I tended to the Health Checks next. Starting with the Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer. At least the SYS was a tad lower than yesterday, the pulse was up a fair bit, mind at 91, compared to yesterdays 87 reading.
The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer was down a smidge, but within range, I think, at 36.5°c, it was in the green anyway. I like this machine, it is quick and easy to use. Of course, now I’ve said that; somethings bound to go wrong!
left in it to use, I still got the biggest part of it down the cheeks. Tsk!
thought I’d still take a Dioctyl® 100mg Poo-Softener capsule, just the one.
damned Microsoft Pictures Ap was not having it again! I wrangled a way of getting them in from the plug-in in the end. Heck of a mess about!
I went to make a mug of Glengettie, and I took these photographs through the light & view-blocking kitchen window. The first a wide shot that didn’t come out as it showed in the Nikon viewer’s window. However, I thought I saw a fire on the horizon!
I zoomed in to get a clearer picture (Okay, I failed). But it did look like a fire was burning, and a decent-sized one too!
I opened the YourNottingham news magazine and had a look to see if any news of a fire was on it. I found this disappointing Covid figures for Nottingham.

I got dressed and off into the kitchen to sort out the last waste bag.
chute room.
lobby window before entering the chute room.
opening on, some folks tend to put loose large waste into the funnel, and so many blockages last year, proved very costly to unblock.
but was turning to train as I snapped the pictures.
