TUESDAY 3rd NOVEMBER 2026

Whoopsiedangleplops – Accifaupas & Errors!

Today produced more elegant… no, that’s not the word I’m after. A greater number of cock-ups from yours truly. I am fed up of moaning about my bad luck. I got the online food ordering wrong: yet again! Two orders on the same day! To be honest, it was three. The first food calamity baffled me. I ordered for next week, since I have two medical appointments that week.
How did I manage to order them all for the same Tuesday… No, I know the combination of things that caused it. My TBI, Alzheimers, Lewy Body and Vascular Dementia, Peripheral Neuropathy, and Sods Law.
Oh, and I dropped a pack of lemon mousse delivered, trying to find room, using my highly-tuned jiggling-the-food-round and throwing some short-dated out to do so.
I’m searching for humour overtones now.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
My Catheter did not work properly in the afternoon and overnight. It was truly agony, adding to my depression.
Codeine & morphine were taken to cope with it.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I did the same as yesterday, and knocked the bottles in the fridge while adding topped-up ones. I did not bang my knee, though. I hit my head on the counter.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
The Intercom wasn’t working again during the day. It sounded fine, but the screen was blank; we couldn’t communicate. I put on a dressing gown and remembered to take the keys & fob with me. Went down 12 floors in the lift and got to the building’s foyer doors. No one in sight. So I went out and could not see any delivery vans. Maybe it was the Warfarin blood taker? Maybe it was British Gas (it wasn’t). The Social Worker? Age UK?

Ah, well, I waited a while to see if anyone had gone to Winwood Court and would come through the linking passage. No. I lifted it back up to the flat, with the Iceland driver waiting outside my door. More food that I believed was ordered for next week. My Coccyx and back joined in the pain as I unloaded, and as I struggled to find room for the food. Unwell I was. Hahaha!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Carer Ejaz helped me to take a shower; I’m so glad he did, cause he stopped me of going over. (Dizzies, I’d not had a shower for months; it was great! Thanks mate)

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
The badder occasionally worked well, as it was before we changed the Catheter to the other leg after showering. I thought we did a decent job of it, but it was most uncomfortable afterwards. Little Inchie got sore.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Snaps taken; hopefully in chronological order. ,

The computer and MS Word played up this time. I lost track of where I’dstored things and spent hours longer than it should have taken me. Another early-morning session to catch up. Humph!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
A bad early morning photographicalisation taken from the kitchen window.
Made a brew; it went cold. Carer Andrew arrived. Did a fair job of sorting me out.

First delivery arrived.
The lemon mousse on the floor and my slipper.
Second dollop of food.
Rearranged water bottles in the crammed-full fridge.
I pray I’ve not ordered anything for tomorrow!

No doubt about it, my mind is slowly taking over.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I was so frustrated at all the work I’d done that failed. I just had to take a break, and went to get the nosh started for later, and took these shots of the sunset.

I hope they are in order…
Great colour…
Tried the other window…
Nice…

Nightie-night Sunshine…
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Surprisingly…
Not too bad an early-morning snap, but not good.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Now, at last, I can warm up the mixture of a mushroom risotto ready meal and a can of beef curry.
I’ll try owt; I’m as common as muck.

WEDNESDAY 4th NOVEMBER 2026
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Last night I didn’t move for over 12 hours, 8 of them in blissful, if broken, sleep. Reckon I’ve got a cold coming on. When I was woken by the Carer, things were hazy and confusing. Having the TV on surprised me. Sore throat, croaky voice, and I  say all else I recall from Carer Andrews visit in a few sentences. I had the medication pot put on my hand, then given a bottle of water to take them. Blanks. He asked if he could use the toilet; I muttered yes. My voice was a smidge croaky. I fell asleep and got three hours. of don’t remember him doing anything else, or saying cheerio.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
But when I managed to raise myself up, I went into the kitchen and noticed how dirty everything was. Dirty pots, dropped food, cutlery on the floor.
The tap was dripping. Bits of dropped food near the slow cooker and the microwave.
Also, the hallway had bits of whatever dropped along it; I wasn’t up to getting the vacuum out. I thought I’d got an agreement with the Carers, who told me to leave anything I drop that I cannot get up with the picker-upper stick, and that they would make things right. I found socks, a pen, the small picker-upperer, crumbs and bits of food in three places in the kitchen. At first, this all confused me. Then I realised that I may have had an active seizure in the night. Don’t have many, but it is possible. Or possibly sleepwalking?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
When I got around to updating the blog, something happened that has bothered me for about a year now.
I thought someone had appeared near me and was talking to me. No one was in the room but me. These  (hallucinations) have happened eight times so far today. Each time I got a vision, I felt a vague, odd feeling; I felt I should know who they were, but couldn’t. A very weird sensation. The vision faded slowly. Beats me?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Writing an Ode today was beyond me. I used an old one above. A bit worried about this. I gave up and tried to tidy up. With the hot water tap I’d left running cold, I still couldn’t wash and shave.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
A mild, constant dizziness, and I was sure I saw someone in the flat three times, but of course again, there was no one. I even got disoriented once when I decided to stop and get the Health Checks done; I went from the wet room to the kitchen to do them. Not the main room where I keep the equipment. Addlepattedness ensued!
An abrupt drop in blood pressure; SYS dropped to a low, the lowest of the week. The DIA shot up. The pulse fell a good bit. Temperature down further; both bloods up.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
The intercon rang, but by the time I got to it, I was too late. I got a dressing gown on, but keys in pocket and down to the main foyer. I’d got Amazon about due. No signs of anyone waiting, no parcels left; unless they had and someone had knicked them.
I got back to the flat, and a minute later, the door chime rang. It was the postman with some mail & a parcel.
I was so out-of-it, I wondered if I had mistaken the intercom for the doorbell earlier?
A grand headache building now.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Sorry, I’m finding it difficult to concentrate.
I’ll send this off now, early. Even feeling so tired now.

Inchie Today: Saturday 31st October 2026

= = = = = = == = = = = = = = = = = =

SATURDAY 31st OCTOBER 2026
= = = = = = == = = = = = = = = = = =

An untypical start to today. As I slid and tumbled hastily off the bed, I trod on something that painfully forced a mild naughty word or two from my lips. More authentic, almost poetic words followed, and disbelief, as I realised I’d trodden on the ‘repaired-the-day-before Kodak Tim 2 camera!’ I lost my balance and fell against the back of the recliner. I caught the side of my face, and that started it off.
Depression kicked off, and more naughty, self-lamasting language was emitted. It remains an unsolved mystery why I even got the camera with me when I got my head down. I’ve never slept with a camera in my pyjamas before. Haha! Well, I don’t think I have. I didn’t take any painkillers, as a Carer would be arriving.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I went into the kitchenette and took this misty photograph of the offer view. Then the ‘Oh, Susanna’ chimed from the front door. The Carer Cometh. Andrew. No neck cream, no body check. No barrier cream. No hoovering. However, he made me brew of Glengettie; Andrew made a decent job of it. Meds given out.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I took off the small buds or nodes growing from the potatoes and put them in a bowl to add to the slow cooker for tonight’s meal. Which was going to be spuds, and fresh garden peas. Beetroot and chestnuts. I dropped many of the spuds’ nodes on the floor, and they rolled into any hole, nook, or cranny they found to hide in.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Jenny came to have a natter with me, and gave good advice on my problems. Bless her.
Angel Jenny emailed me, kindly offering two of her butcher-bought large sausage rolls from the freezer.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I was making progress with the backlog of blogs I had. But it was painfully slow progress. Concentration was the problem, or rather the lack of concentration. I looked up this problem, thinking it may be linked to my Alzheimer’s disease with Lewy Body Dementia and Vascular Dementia. But it seems more likely that my Peripheral Neuropathy is the cause, or they both share the blame. (Dopamine: a type of monoamine neurotransmitter and hormone made in the brain that acts as a chemical messenger to communicate signals between nerve cells) and overwhelm: When a task feels too baffling, big, boring, or difficult, your brain looks for an escape hatch, leading to task-switching, procrastination, or task paralysis. (a state where you feel mentally “stuck” and completely unable to start or complete a task, even though you want to and know it needs to be done)
I sound intelligent, don’t I? I Googled this!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Frank came up with them; they were so different from the normal ones. Packed solid with a tasty meaty filling. I left them out on the kitchen top to defrost and plan to have them with my meal tonight. Or was this yesterday?
Struggling gain!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I went to take a photo from the kitchenette window; the photo didn’t get taken, though. Because
I hit my head on the corner of the window frame as I opened it to take the snap. This snap is from when I bashed my head in the wet room when my right leg gave way; I used that one again.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Carer Imran arrived. We decided on what level of pain relief I needed, and it was issued. He did a body check, barrier cream on my blobby belly – I have to lift it for him so he can get at the lesions. It’s got that ginormous. Haha!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Back to the computer, and my productivity was stunted even further, as I procrastinated and dilly-dallied from one task to another. I was in as full-a-flow as could be, working on the blog, and my TBI’d cerebrum decided I needed to stop and make a food order for next week. Why? Gawd knows! Then I put more things on the back burner, because I wanted more of the Lemon Wafers, but I couldn’t remember where I got them. A Google search revealed that Asda had that brand in stock, but only after I found that J Sainsburies, Iceland, and Morrisons don’t sell them. Then, when I went to place an order with Asda, I found they were out of stock! Also, I had already placed an order with them. Well, I must have got some from somewhere; I’d just opened the last packet.

A search for any brand of Lemon Puffs was carried out on Google; they all but Iceland had that brand in, but those ones are a smidge hard for my poor deteriorating teeth.
As if by some form of sorcery, I found myself hoovering the hallway. I’d done this a few hours earlier!
Then I sorted the laundry things out. Back to the computer, I found many emails and went through them. And back to the blog. I saw how many mistakes I’d made and wanted to cry, but I didn’t; it turned into self-loathing. After a self-moody, I started making things right.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Carer Imran looked so tired. He still did a decentish job, mind you. Offered a body check. Heat-treated my back and creamed the back of my neck. Said it had red marks on it now. It does get sore more; I’m sure I’ll endure!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Now the computer plays up! Followed, or it might be part of the same problem, whatever it is, CorelDraw is sticking; had to close down manually twice!
Not that this bothered me, of course.

Not a man of my supreme intelligence, patience, calm, relaxed attitude, and imperturbable, unflappable, tranquil, placid nature; I’m well known for it.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Carer Prem did the last call in fine form.

Not very good, are they?
I fell asleep as the football came
on the TV. Went to get some
more
water to feed the Catheter
through the bladder
when I took
these. Maybe I was out of joint
for missing the footy?
Especially missing Man City,
losing a match – Cragknagles!

Aha, very late, but I got the Kodad-Tim-two working, with the help of some elephant tape!
Food delivery due anytime now, and unfortunately the Carer as well. Not one of the best. Missing so many things. He did go to Sherwood to see the audio shop about making an appointment to have my ears dewaxed.
The Closed!

But I later discovered it was open.

FRIDAY 30th OCTOBER 2026
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
An even worser flipping day!
When Ejaz came on a longer call, he rang and made an appointment for me for the Dewaxing of the earholes. Bless his cotton socks. DID A GREAT JOB! For 11th November, at 12:00hrs, he arranged for a Carer to call at 11:30hrs, to give us time to dress me and get to the shop in time, using the bus. It cost more than I’d hoped; it will cost me £150 for both ears. I later got an email with a fairly long Q&A session from them. I filled it in and sent it back. Health history mostly. Grand lads, Ejaz & Mirza!

Email from Jenny

Jenny; she is so kind to me. “I call her my Angel.” X
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I’m amazed; I’ve lost so many photos from the computer; I’m angry at myself too! Really so! Things got worse!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I got myself all worked up when things went wrong.
Thankfully, a Caring, and understanding Carer, Ejaz, was here when my depression and self-loathing began. Bless him. But he won’t call again until next week.
So many things happened consecutively. An unbelievable series of droppages, self-disgust, and things filled my head each time. The worst is not easy to pick… these may be out of order. And some will be missing, because I got all het-up with my failings; and there were so many, over such a short time. I think I was more affected this time.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Losing the photographs and not knowing how I lost them started the frustration.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Then I made mistakes in recording what had taken place, and Ejaz began to correct them…
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
As I reached for the notepad to check some items on it;
I KNOCKED THE MUG OF TEA OFF THE DESK!
It fell into an open drawer where I keep paperwork I’ll likely need later. Medical dosages.
What a stonking mess!
I had to throw away so many papers, reminders and mail. Most had partly disintegrated by the time we got them out of the drawer. Tea had leaked through to the cupboard below. More mail was destroyed in there.
My fury was scaring me! Talk about going from a decent moment into the depths of… well, despair, self-loathing. Especially after Ejaz had done such magnificent jobs for me, I was so frustrated. Even more so when, in the chaos of sorting things and not doing a good job of it, I believe I sank into a rare seizure. This has happened only once before. I could see but not hear what was going on as Ejaz, and I were apparently finishing the cleaning up – or was I dreaming? I’ll never know, and I really have no idea. Ejaz did not mention it, though. So the old tortured mind was the most likely reason. Or, summat else. This only caused me more confusion. I can recall Ejaz telling me that Jenny had told him on the phone? What it was is a blank memory-wise. Should I be worried?
When this vague idea came to me much later, I accepted the situation rather easily; not that I understood it.

Now it concerns me, but not a lot?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Carer Mirza made the teatime call hours later, while I was oddly ordering food for next week. I’d lost track again. My mind wandered; I started doing things, not finishing any, before beginning something else, unrelated.
What Mirza thought, I don’t know. Yet I recall a lot of his visit; rightly or wrongly is still in abeyance. I fear I may have been talking tommyrot. I also recall that I couldn’t get a song out of my head for hours after this incident. Fact can be stranger than fiction.
Back to Mirza’s visit. He did his usual conscientious routine, which was brilliant and caring. He reminded me to take the socks off, which he did. Emptied the pouch and recorded the details on the pad. Set up a new pad for me. Nowt on it yet, of course. Checked the Catheter for comfort. Asked if I’d had my daily meal, and checked the Bombay potatoes with peas added in the crock pot for me. I remembered all this, with few uncertainties. Mizra suggested I put some more tomato juice in the pot. So, I did. The lad did the safety checks, and when I told him how far I was behind with the blogging, thinking I’d never get yesterday’s finished, let alone start today’s. He suggested I make a double one, then post it when I catch up. This I am going to do. I also seem to clearly recall that, as he left, he said not to forget the cooker when I reheat the potatoes, and to try not to worry. (I’d told him of the tea-spilling incident). We bade farewells, with a little hug. Just what I needed then.
Thanks today to Carers Mirza, Ejaz, & Prem care.
Plus, of course, to my Angel! 💗
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Around 20:20hrs, I think, Carer Prem did the last call.
He emptied the pouch; there wasn’t much in it, and he tightened the top gripper, which made me scratch at the itch it caused. I moved the top grip when I scratched.
Not a good idea. Blood flowed from the old wound under the grip strap and pulled off the crust of dried blood, releasing newly drawn haemoglobin. I took these two photographs of the accifauxpas result. Haha!
We both laughed at how my bad luck is never-ending.
But by now, after the last three days of mayhem, I was in a resigned-mode, assisted by a belated but long visit from a  !

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Here I am now, 01:15hrs, pressing on with this two-day Inchie WP blog. However, hunger and tiredness forced me to stop. I noticed at the bottom of the new pad and recalled Ejaz writing something I must remember on it. All I had to do was read it… But I’m blown if I can decipher it? Had I done whatever it was reminding me to?
Can any of the flood of followers I have help at all?
Either of you. Please. I may be able to in the morning; or should I say later in the morning, when the mind and body may be a little more alert? Back in the morning to finish off; not much left to do, unless the memory box reactivates. TTFN till then. (He says, shooting off to the
Porcelain Throne. First visit of the day, no, first visit on Saturday. Oh, I hope I don’t fall asleep on the WC!

A bigger mess than usual today. Please forgive any repetitions, omissions, or cock-ups.
If I get any further behind, I’ll have to give up the blog. That’s the last thing I want, but the practicalities suggest it will happen. Heartbreaking!
Just so much happening medically, and me suffering mentally… no, it has to be said and accepted. But can I?

Brought on mayhap by my apraxia?
PN, TBI, DCD… now ambisinister,

I’m a changed person, character,
Can’t enjoy a good clishmaclaver.
When talking, I can’t remember…
What I was saying; gone forever!
My chinwag topic? Off in the ether,
I don’t think it’s Cacodemonomania,
They’ve not yet diagnosed cachexia…

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
My Angel Jenny came up to the flat, and she and Carer Ejaz set about communicating with British Gas to sort the arrangement for, promised eight times and failed to show BG engineer to sort out the electricity meter. A quick explanation of why.

Almost two years ago, the oligarchs from British Gas started asking of a meter reading. But we could not read it. It seems that I’m the only flat with an old meter. Different to all the others. Confused yet? I am already. Cause I know what’s coming.
Veiled threats of cutting me off. Warnings that the meter might not work properly and I’d lose power. They will have to cut me off if I don’t give them a reading. Carer Ejaz took on the oligarchs! But it was of no use. Eventually, I was told they were sending an engineer to check the meter. No one came. Ejaz rang yet again. He was given telephone numbers to ring. Which the lad did. He a well-pissed of voice that said, “I am fed up to my back teeth with BG giving out and telling disgruntled customers our number – we are connected to BG in any way! Do not ring back! Ejaz kept ringing; they (supposedly) arranged more visits and assured us they would come. Now, on the eighth failed oligarchal BG appointment, lovely Jenny came up to the flat while Ejaz was here and tried to find out what’s going on.
I, unfortunately, had a seizure while the business chat got more farcical and brazen lies were given out by BG. Carer Ejaz explained what had gone on while I was out-of-it; he wrote it down for me on a pad.
They had only given Jenny the same number to ring!
The poor gal did so and got rebuffed for calling them, like Ejaz did over a year ago. They asked a long time ago for a photo of the meter. Ejaz told them he had already taken photos and emailed them to BG 6 months ago. Poor Ejaz and Jenny. Jenny gave up, and I can’t blame her. She suggested I stop the debit payments after I told them my intentions and why. I’m not in a good state right now to do anything about it. Why? I’ll tell you.
More seizures, lost blood from the knee scab, and this morning… when I woke about three o’clock, I was in a lot of discomfort bladder-wise. I grabbed the torch and checked the night Catheter bag; it was empty! Yep, the flowback was getting more and more painful. It was verging on agony, far worse than ever.
I started guzzling water for two hours, barely stopping, to get it flowing again. No, nothing. But all the drinking was making the pain worse than ever.
Carer Andrew arrived, and I asked him to call the district nurses for me. I was so appreciative when they said someone would call on me. And they did not tell me to go to the hospital A&E by taxi.
It was a painful wait, and I was losing it when the nurse came in. She soon got me sorted; thank her very much. X
I admit I got a smidge worried over the next two hours, as nothing flowed. I was on the verge of bothering the nurses again when I saw tiny droplets of urine going down the tube, not a flow as such. I kept drinking all the time, and after another half hour, it started to fill the bag, very slowly. I think things are getting back to normal now.
Which eased my mind. I had a mini seizure, and decided to sit on the bed… talk about lucky, I WAS!
As I neared the bed, an instant dizzy spell had me over. What a fantastic landing on the soft bed! Yee-Haa!
That so beats landing on the floor!

Better get a meal sorted now. Bacon sarnies, methinks.

Back in the morning… Catheter permitting.

Bacon bits, on flatbread, boiled & soy-sauced small spuds, and some teriyaki sauce for dipping. Nice!

MONDAY 19th OCTOBER 2026
=================================

I was in the midst of my last horrible dream; I was trying to jump from a wooden string-roped bridge into the water below. Not worried about going over at all. But the odd things that kept interrupting and kept me from diving in were endless. Some I recalled the moment that Carer Andrew came in and switched the light on. I tried to stay with the dream, and I don’t think I responded to the lad very well. Well, you wouldn’t when a pink gorilla came from the trees and shouted that he is an Alziemers councillor, and started towards me on the rickety tied-on wooden planks, shaking the bridge all over, and this made me change my mind, and I decided not to jump after all.
I think, well, I’m almost sure that earlier an alien alighted from a dome-topped mini spaceship, laughed at me, calling me a whimp, and tasered me. Climbed back into his tiny ship, turned, put two fingers up, and said, in a squeaky voice, ‘Cheers, Dumbo!’)
Vague, broken memories of other dreams lingered for a while, and then I realised Andrew had arrived when the light made me jump and forced me into a semi-responsive state. I greeted him, and he didn’t look happy. Why? I wondered if I’d been doing the somniloquy stuff again when he came in. Last week, when Inram did a teatime call, and I’d fallen asleep in the computer chair. He laughed so much when he woke me. He told me that I was talking unintelligible gobbledygook and was using a fair bit of bad language, but laughing as I did so. Of course I didn’t know if I was somniloquying this morning, but I might have been. Young Andrew did not seem too impressed with things. Haha!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Another horrible day!
British Gas called me; I found out why: Jenny, my Angel, had contacted them. The bloody mobile phone of mine. I so hate it. It doesn’t ring when anyone calls, and I can’t hear voice messages. BG showed 8 missed calls (which grew to 19). And 11 missed calls. Ejaz contacted them, and I had to give my email, name and address. While doing so, the bloody mobile disconnected. TWICE!
Ejaz spoke with them; they said they would have to get back to me in a few days to prove who I was… WHAT?
I began to be frustrated and mega depressed, and didn’t feel very good.
I tried to get some of this blog done, but then the Catheter
started flowing back- the pain! So I took a Codeine and Morphine.

Agony, but to make things worse, I then took a mild tumble. Not feeling up to much.
I’ll have to stop here, sorry.

I was already worried about the visit to the Audio Clinic, and getting things sorted as far as I could, but felt even more out-of-it. Then the BG farce, and bloody mobile. At one point, I was on the bloody mobile, and the landline and the intercom rang at the same time. I reckon that helped me take the fall. The sodding intercom wasn’t working again; I had to go down three times to see who it was, and each time no one was there at the foyer door. Now I know I won’t have time to catch up on this blog, a chance I may have to go to A&E with the Catheter problem… the Carer to be asked to help me get dressed. Will the Catheter… Enough!
Might get this a little caught up tomorrow…
Ha! Just remembered I changed the delivery time for the food to between 21 & 22:00hrs, so sleep will be a more urgent need than whatever it was I was going to write, but I’ve forgotten it now. If my bladder backs up, I might ring the District Nurses? I’m fed up. A near-noon photograph from the kitchenette window. Very few photos taken today; I’m afraid they’re scarce, indeed negligible. However, that is due to cock-ups and failures on my behalf, but the main culprit was, without a doubt;
British Gas: oligarchs with the worst complaint record of any of the 20 active domestic energy suppliers supplying the UK! So many indecisive, detail-seeking, and rejecting phone calls made and received today.
There was no time to even start this blog!

In fact, and I’m not joking, it is now nearly midday on Wednesday 21st October, when I started this blog!
To make things worse, it took more time and was, frustratingly, mentally crippling, as Tuesday was as bad as Monday was for time and dwindling finances! I had no time to get any blog done, and with so much short, pathetic sleep, my body forced me to get some on Tuesday. When I was sitting at the computer, I couldn’t get myself mentally together to try to make a start… I did scribble a few notes, forgot to take the camera with me; I was so…
But I’ll get to that later. (I hope)

British Gas

Here to Solve!
The lying Oligarch, communicatively confusing,

sourpuss, and AI, off-putting, rigmarole-ridden, sending us around the houses just to reach a human, although I question that at times, awkward, two-faced, off-putting, disconnecting our calls. They give us numbers, direct us to another company that, judging by their pissed-off voices, tells us to keep telling people to ring us, and we have no connection with British Gas! No doubt in reply to a management instruction, in a vain effort to reduce the amount of complaints by making sure we can’t get through, and giving out dates for service maintenance or repairs they have no intention of keeping?
I suppose you think that I am getting annoyed? Piqued, cross, aggravated, disgruntled, exasperated, irked, irritated, nettled, and upset with British Gas’s lack of honesty, cheating, misrepresentation, equivocation, deception, fabrication, fibbing, falsification, fooling, deceiving, deluding, hoodwinking, conning, tricking, bamboozling- are you? They are the most deceitful, underhanded, deceptive, chicanery-ridden, unscrupulous, devious, artful set of customer (non) service givers I’ve ever known. Bearing in mind, I have suffered similar avoidance & evasion tactics to suit their own measures from Virgin Media and HMG Customs & Excise. (I lost those battles as well).
Having tried all of the above, and failed.
Makes British Gas Customer Service ineptitude far worse (or superior) than that of all the other Oligarchs, guilty parties, and companies put together.
A company that exists to sort out people’s complaints against power-supplying companies will not help anyone using British Gas for electricity; see below.

DISAPPOINTING DAY
Little was achieved, compounded by the failure at the Audio Clinic, which at first seemed great but left a lingering threat of terrible things, like needing to telephone my Doctor, a challenge much feared nowadays, with the possible result being taxi fares to get my ears de-waxed. My Doctor told me that although she had cleaned the hearing aids, there was still so much wax in them that she expected the Cerumen to block things up again in a few days.

PRE-DURING & AFTER THE VISIT
I spent an odd evening and night,
Nodded off in the chair, woke feeling shite,
Just had a seizure, became a somnambulist…
For 4 hours in the chair I’d slept,
Realising, quick as a sulphite,
Twas the end of my sleep tonight,
For tomorrow’s, to Audio Clinic…
The thought got me in a panic,
Things to plan, & with my Attention Deficit,
Details, timing, my brain went bicentric…My mind resisted, went all abulic,
Wanting things to go right, I’m apophenic,
What to take, have I got the schematic?
Painkillers for knees & shoulders rheumatic?
Hospital Transport arranged, ‘ecstatic’!
Trouble is I’m so amnestic,
Expecting today to go all tragicomic,
I think my plans will turn out theoretic,
Lovely people at the Audio Clinic,
Surely, they’ll make me hear better,
Then I can offer them a douceur,
My offer in thanks will be sincere,
A Clinic? To me? More a sacraria.
But today, it was scarrier,
Tell you more later.
Later came Andrew, my Carer,
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
The lift arrived from the hospital,
Two drivers, one short, one tall,
Got me there without a fall,
Into the crowded waiting hall,
Cram-packed, space available minimal,
No one spoke, well, said little at all.
As all awaited things audiological,
We got sat down; Andrew did squibble
When I stood up for an amble,
Cather bag was slowly filling,
Been there a long time, I wasn’t caring,
My name was called; we were led in…
Soon she hearing aid mending,
Then my ears investigating,
She said both ears need olive-oiling,
Said do that, twice daily,
She frowned, and said earnestly,

They’re working now, as you can see,
Expect another blockage, & quickly,
You must phone your surgery,
See if they do wax removal…
If not, you must pay for it privately,
Costing £50 an ear is normal,
I agreed, querimoniously,
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
Then we left to ring for a taxi,
Then I started to get a little angry,
At the route taken, costing me…
I said, “Where are you going, matey?”
And this taxi cost was mounting,
I’m using GPS; where should I be?
I told him, pensively,
We got home eventually,
It was as much as going to the QMC!
Got up in the flat, Andrew and I,
I wanted, needed a mug of tea.
Thus today did not go satisfactorily.

Bed, sleep seemed an attractive idea; but no!
I’d rearranged the food orders for late in the day.
The first one at 17/1800hrs, the second for 18/1900.
Carer Mirza called me; always glad when he calls. I planned to get down for 1630hrs to let him in, but I got stuck scribbling notes about the day when the intercom rang. I went down, but no one was there. I thought it was later than it was, and the wardens wouldn’t be able to let him into Winwood Court. I went back up to the flat and found him in there. To my pleasure, they were here because he’d arrived earlier than usual. Good job, too!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Woke up after four hours’ sleep, with the upcoming acid reflux filling my chest, up to my throat, mouth and nasals. I was well disoriented. The Carer came in. I can’t even recall who it was, but I sensed I’d been hurried too much given the state I was in. He kept asking what painkillers I wanted.
He then disappeared into the WC for ten minutes. No problem. He departed, and I sorted the bins. I was still not fully compos mentis. But thought things were becoming clearer. Still a bit vague, though. I then put some garden peas in spring water,  some light soy sauce. I plan to add sliced potatoes for later.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I looked at the Carer’s medication table and instantly thought, “Well, this needs some sorting out!”
But forgot about it when the intercom rang for the fifth time, and I had to shoot down to the lobby to let them in.
No one was there, for the fourth time. When I said shoot, a more appropriate word would be ‘hobble’.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
The mobile battery died. The computer would not start up. Nor would the TV. The intercom failed every call. The kitchen hot tap is dripping. The kettle went bang… but still works? I tried to count of many things I dropped, but lost track; there were so many. Ah, I found a loose page with numbers and details of some of them that I could not find or dropped: Saucepan lid, tea bag pot, pens (3), picker-upper (2), camera, mobile (2), hearing aids, toothache spray, Olive-oil dropper, water bottle (3),
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Carer Raj did the long call visit, hah! I’ll say no more; he’s a big lad, and doesn’t take criticism well.

I thought this was an Iceland fresh cake, but it turned out to be frozen. Still, it looks like I’ll get some fresh Cream & Lemon store-baked ones from Morrisons next Wednesday. These are for my Angel & her hubby Frank, as a little thank you.

WAKING UP – WORRA SHOCK!

06:05hrs: I could still taste the acidic flavourings of having had a Seizure. Not until I moved; then the pains revealed themselves. The knee scratch was hurting, the lower back, and the right ingrown toenail was giving me a fair bit of agony as I gingerly stood up.
Then fell down against the recliner and knocked ¾s of the stuff off of the ottoman. Then, as I got up, I noticed many other items, seemingly knocked in the direction of the bed. This made me think a nocturnal seizure must have happened earlier in the night. I started to lose things then. I mean, my grip on the situation. I honestly cannot recall what happened then, but when I floated back into semi-reality, I was mopping the kitchen floor! Using the old-fashioned mop and bucket! of don’t recall fetching the mop or bucket, or filling and starting to use it. About half of the floor was already done.

I finished it, and most of the pain from the tumble evaporated. Apart from the leg wound and ingrown toenail hurting, I was as good as I’ve felt for ages. But I was not ready to use logic. I cleaned the mop & bucket, and got onto the Porcelain Throne. All this I can remember clearly. Particularly the evacuation. It took me ages to get it moving again this morning, and I had three mini-evacuations that needed painful urging of each torpedo. I bloody time cleaning up; that urged me to wash and apply the Germoloid cream.
Then, I got into a session of body washing and medicating where I could reach, shaving, doing the teeth, and medicating. The battle to get the protection pants was… well… horrendously stupid and painful.
Got the dressing gown on, and returned to the front room; I say that, but I’ve not got a back room. (Note the humour in this paragraph & blog?) That is because of how the Social Ladies visit went so well! 👍🏻
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Carer arrived as I was taking some snaps of the view from the kitchen window. I finished taking them and was pleased with the results compared to how they looked
to the naked eye.
He was speaking to me from the other room, but I could not make out what he was saying. But guessed he was asking me what painkillers I needed. I went to the room I hadn’t been in for an hour or so and found he was asking that. I told him, and surprised him, that I didn’t need any, thank you. But got a surprise myself when I saw the things on the floor that I’d apparently knocked in my seizure and tumble.
He used the picker-upperer to collect them and put them back in the box. Then I asked him to put some non-medical heat salve on my back & shoulders, which he did. He made a decent job of it today. But did not do barrier cream or body checks, as Ejaz & Mirza do. Not that I’ve seen Mirza for weeks. I love those lads.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Limbs Transmogrificationalisation?
I think that my right leg is morphing into an alien’s or an ostrich’s leg!

The top half is going all chicken-leg-like.
The bottom half is gathering warts, bruises, red patches, spots. Pimples, a wart, a boil, and gone all misshapen. Both feet have shrunken, going brown, &  vein-displaying. I can get into my soft slippers by myself right now!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Carer Ejaz, always welcome and pleased to see him, arrived. And set about issuing the medications; then he took the washing down to the laundrette.

Returning shortly, he spoke of the Social lady arriving in a few minutes, and the landline burst into life.
It was that lady, saying she was on her way, but would be a little later than she had arranged. No bother; I was looking forward to seeing her and hearing of her plans.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
COMMETH THE SOCIAL LADY (Laura?)
Most of what was discussed in the nearly two-hour meeting has now gone into the ether. A pleasant, supportive discussion went well until I had a seizure. Memories before this incident are sparse. Almost like I’d had a sort of mind-wipe.

As soon as she departed, I asked Ejaz what was said that was important and that I needed to remember.
I made a point of thanking her; it’slovely when someone tries to help me; at this moment, my spirits rose wonderfully. Great!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Ejaz related that: I was asked if I would like an independent association to take over my finances for a small monthly charge. He didn’t say if I agreed,
Wonder if I did? Surely not? The lady would contact the Carers for me and ask if I could have Carers Ejaz, Mirza and Prem as my regular Carers. I do hope so. Apparently, I explained why I wanted them. Obviously, because they are so good, and the others are not. I explained that things aren’t getting done, and I know why: I have to go on all the medical calls; then they claw back their pay ratio by missing others off the roster. Seems natural to me.
Plenty of other subjects discussed that neither of us could remember. But Ejaz was in a hurry. He fetched the laundry back up, and as he was leaving, he saw me pick up the bag to hang up the clothes. He stopped me from bending and said to ask the next Carer to do it. Which I did. Caring chap!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Returning to this blog for an hour or so, and a Carer arrived. He was miraculously willing and did not go on his phone as much. Wonder if he heard about the meeting?

He even took a snap of me in my tork. Being a comedian, I posed for it. Hahaha!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
YeeHaa! Carer Mirza came on the last call!
The Intercom was not working again! The lad rang three times, but I could not admit him. So, I went to the ground floor and into the lobby… but Mirza was not there. He must have rung NCC control to be let in. As I was going down, he was coming up. I got back up, and he was in the flat. Worra life!
But I didn’t mind; I was overjoyed to see him. It’s been three or four weeks since he called. I just hope that my beloved Social Lady can convince the Carer Company to send the three good ones to see me and increase the hours. Fingers Crossed on that! 🤞🏻
And remove the frustrations of not getting things done. Mizra didn’t have a lot of time with him, not getting in when he rang. I blame it; it never worked properly since it was installed. And I don’t blame the NCC. They have been good to me.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I got the meal prepared to go in the oven. He asked if I needed help with prepping the meal. He always asks. Gawd, I’ve missed him. Sometimes I struggle to open cans, can’t read instructions on the packets or tins. He does not put the nocturnal bag on
unless I’ve had my meal earlier, for fear of me getting entangled in it and tripping or falling. I know I’ve just said it, but I pray the three lads can cater for me. Else I’ll lose them altogether if I’m moved to another care company. Bade him farewell.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Went to check on the meal and added some carrots I’d forgotten to put in the dish earlier.
Took a snap of the evening view; not a good one, but I’m not bothered, with today’s prospective good news.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
None of the other expected callers arrived. Shame!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I’ll get the food now… I’ll be back in the morning.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
What a cracking sunset snap!
Found it in the camera; hope it
is not from a previous day?
I can’t remember taking it.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Finished off this blog, but not until well past 10:30hrs on Wednesday morning. So, I’m unfortunately more than a little behind with things again.

Stirred back to life after 4.5 hrs of wonderful deep sleep.
Pondering over getting up and what needed doing before the Carer arrived for the trip to the hospital.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Forced my aching back body up from the bed onto my feet and carried out the balance exercises. Fell back onto the bed in the process. Cursed a little, then got back to mild exercising. Then looked for, but couldn’t find, the Camera to take shots of the view while making a mug of my favourite Glengettie tea. Never did find the Camera. Never made the tea either while looking for the Camera. And I’d used it to snap the flipping bed!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I made the waste bags into one. Wandered off track a little; when I had to go to the Porcelain Throne. Firm, light brown, almost square chunks again. Knocking more things behind the floor cabinet. Tsk!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Finished compiling Sunday’s blog and posted it; then the Carer Andrew arrived. I told him I’d swapped socks and washed my feet last night to save time today, with the EENT appointment being on.
He almost smiled. I asked him when he issued the medications to lather the medicated heat stuff on my back, and then put a pad on. The pad seems to have disappeared, or we forgot to put it on.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
He left, and a minute later the intercom chimed up. I got to it pretty quickly, but the damned thing would not work, not to open the door. I thought it might be Andrew coming back because he’d forgotten something when he left, so I stayed near the intercom in case he rang back. But no. The doorbell chimed, and it was a different blood vampire nurse arriving.

Did a god job, taking extra vials for Cardiac.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Ode done for today’s blog.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Off to the wet room to scrub up, shave, clean the teggies, and medicate where I can reach. No bleeding from the teeth. No cuts or nicks from shaving. I did drop the mouthwash bottle, though. After medicating the rear end, knees, and applying Phorpain gel to the hands, wrists and barrier cream where I could reach, I battled to get protective pants on without ripping them.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Then, I even managed to get my trousers on unaided.

. Then tried to get my shoes on unaided, falling onto the recliner in the process and knocking the new biscuit jar off of the ottoman, and it broke as it hit the floor. Took me ages to clear up the fragments of glass.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Carer Ejaz arrived. He got my shoes and jumper on for me. Gave me some painkillers and checked that things were safe before ringing for a taxi. Then we went down to wait for it outside the flats.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
The driver seemed addicted to driving down as many 20mph side roads as he could on the way. Still, it wasn’t too bad at £12.50.
We got into the EENT and made a few wrong turns trying to find the laser room we needed. It was packed solid. Ejaz spotted one free seat and got me ensconced on it. Without hearing aids, I couldn’t hear what anyone said, even Ejaz in that waiting area. Good job, he came, too!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
We were summoned to a small room to have our eyes tested through a dot pad. Apparently, I have cataracts in both eyes, but they will do just the left one today. Sent back to the waiting area and waited.

We were called and taken through some short passageways to another room.
I thought it was for more tests, but I learned it was the laser treatment room. Which got me further confused. The treatment thingamajig was similar to the test ones last time, but I was not able to get my chin up high enough to get into position for the laser. Complications compounded when I did eventually get into a position to suit the Doctor; I was so tight, my Catheter tube got trapped underneath the mechanical box. And flow-back pains prevented me from keeping still. (Memories prompted of the last visit when I had a seizure).

The Doctor was getting a little peed off with me, I think. She was silent, possibly thinking for a short while, and then said something to Ejaz, and left the room. I asked Ejaz what was happening; he said she had gone to get some help. A man came back with the Doctor, and they changed the height of the chair, and he forced my back (much pain) forwards to hold me in position. I was still leaning towards the right, so as he pushed, I needed the occasional twisting of my neck back into the correct position, and he used his torso to keep me tight to the chin-rest. To be honest, I felt I was a right nuisance for them.
I must have been keeping all those other patients waiting & making their appointment late. She told me that’s all done. Both your eyes would be cloudy for a while. If you get any floaters or pain, get back to us.
No Blepha creams, no eye drops to take with me, no eye patch to wear; I was gobsmacked. I was ushered out of the door, and with Ejaz went to the front door of the unit & Ejaz called for a taxi. My eyes were mega-foggy by then. Ejaz said he asked if the taxi could stop at an ATM to get money so he could pay them; they agreed. 15 minutes later, the taxi arrived.
He stopped at an ATM so I could pay him. Boy, what a roundabout route he took; this trip cost £18,50.
Home, Ejaz medications given. Got me in night attire. Off he went, a good lad.
Eyes foggy; now the left eye is better than the right eye. Got to go back to have the right one done when they inform me. Bet that Doctor will take the day off when she sees me booked in. Hehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I took two snaps,
of the evening sky.
Took off the hospital tab.
Reheated the potatoes to make a meal.
Tried to get a bit of the blog done, but eyes,
mood & tiredness beat me.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Carer Prem did a late call.
Took the socks off, gave painkillers.
And reminded me to make sure the taps
and cooker were turned off when

I’d made and eaten the meal.
Vegetable Curry tonight.
Cobs defrosted from the freezer.
The crock-pot boiled spuds were
quartered and added to the feast.

The cons were crap, but all the
rest went down a real treat!

Inchie Today: Saturday’s Waffle & Odes20th June 2025

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
G: Ayup, midduck, yer looking rough…
I: You would be if yer had my unlucky stuff,
G: Complaining again, always moaning,
I: I’ve got cause for bemoaning & groaning,
G: Have I upset yer yet again?
I: Nae, I’m sorry, everything’s going wrong,
G: Yeah, tell that to every time I come along,
I: I always have bad luck attacking, with increasing unsolved problems amassing,
G: Yeah, I know that, obviously…
But helping you cope could be tricky,
I: All you do is take the piss out of me!
G: Can’t blame me if you’re off your trolley,

I: Do yer mean sort of mentally?
G: You’ve lived too long, yer going bonkers!
I: Nae, I’ve been that since the sixties,

G: Yeah, also a worthless bupkus…
I: Hang on, bupkus, what’s that? Tell us!.
G: Man of no value, significance, or substance!
I: Why are you making all these besmutches?

G: You were caught wearing bodices…
I: I was only four, they were my mams’
What’s all this to do with my problems?
G: Don’t get upset if I get carnaptious…

It’s what happens to your soul that matters,
I: You’ve come to add it to your collections?
G: Oh, aye, we Reapers are also clavigers,
I: Blimey, more rare words, go on tell us…
G: We’re your soul’s caretakers, custodians,
I: I’ve lost your plot, worra yer saying?
G: It’s compassion that I am relaying…
I can return your soul as you get buried…
So you must avoid being cremated…
See? I can have you resuscitated!

I: And I can live again? Sort of reactivated?
G: I guarantee you’ll not be disenchanted,
I: Reincarnation? Makes me feel dejected!
G: Typical answer, I expected!

THE DAWN OF ANOTHER DAY
Saturday 16th June 2026
Terrible night again last night, but at least the crippling mind and body failures of Friday have not affected me at all this morning. I’m curious as to what caused my problems yesterday. But so glad that Carer Ejaz made the first call. To take good care of me, I appreciated that.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I finished off yesterday’s blog, turned off the computer, and settled in to watch a series of three World Cup Matches. But, fell blistfully asleep. For the longest period of the night. About half an hour. Then Carer Andrew arrived and woke me up, much to my discontent.
Medicines taken, legs Cetraben-creamed, Shaking Shoulder Shirley & my back was Phorpain gelled. After the lad had gone, I felt sure that sweet Morphius would enfold me again.
He didn’t. For the next five hours, I kept nodding off, but only for a minute or two, and sprang awake accompanied by various elements,   and  a few times in a “Where-the-Hell-am-I” mode.
My intentions to get up were prompted by the arrival of . But at least I got up today without falling back down again. That was pleasing. I pressed the ‘Booster button’ on the meter and sat at the computer for a further hour or so. hoping the water would heat up.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I replied to an email from Jenny, then went to check the heat of the water from the tap. It was not exactly hot, so I had to boil a kettle of water for shaving. Sorry that I bothered you now. I made a terrible job of shaving. Not realising until after I washed & brushed up. How I didn’t notice before, I don’t know. A check on my Bic razors revealed they needed dishing and new ones using, but I didn’t do either. They were clogged up.
Then I had an incident with the toothbrush that, if filmed, would have been a prime recording worthy of being sent to You’ve Been Framed. I leaned to pick up the toothbrush, with the toothpaste in my other hand.

Bear in mind, this all happened in about 12 seconds. The brush shot out of my hand and hit the wall. bounced back shooting by me, rebounded off of the top tray, I managed to grab it, and dropped it straight away, and it fell into the WC.
While I was smiling at this, I realised that during the battle to control and retrieve the toothbrush, I’d squashed the toothpaste from the tube. You would not believe how much shot from the tube, spreading all over the wetroom mats, floor, sink, the WC, and down my overgenerous belly, left leg and foot, and on my testicles.
A bugger to clean up as well! Humph!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I did my best to catch up on sleep. I actually drifted off.

For about half an hour, the Carer crept in and woke me up. This time, I literally jumped awake. Setting off, Shaking Shoulder Shirley. Carer issued the drugs, Porpain gelled the shoulder and legs. And was soon off, he was running behind, he said. I tried putting the TV on, which usually works, when I can’t get to sleep. But it was of no use; back to just dowsing and involuntarily adopted a sort of, well, a Give-It-Upperdness, and got on with creating the second Inchie Ode At I5:00hrs. I got nearer to falling asleep than I had all day, doing this. They do not flow easily when one is struggling to concentrate & has not slept for 4 days.
I paused to ask Google for advice on this.
I wrote: An 80-year-old imitation male, under stress, cannot sleep despite being tired.
SLEEP & AGEING
Insomnia is a common sleep disorder, characterised by a persistent difficulty falling to or remaining asleep, despite the opportunity to do so. People with insomnia also experience excessive daytime sleepiness and other cognitive impairments while they are awake that directly stem from sleep loss. People may have sleep-onset insomnia, which causes difficulty falling asleep, or sleep maintenance insomnia, which causes difficulty staying asleep. Some people with insomnia experience sleep onset and sleep maintenance issues.
According to current estimates, 15-30% of 70-year-old and older adults live with insomnia. Older people are more susceptible. Attributed to a few different factors. Seniors are at higher risk of medical, psychiatric and neuropathological conditions. That can lead to insomnia symptoms, as well as other sleep disorders. Breathing or restless legs syndrome. Our internal circadian clocks and sleep-wake cycles can also change as we age, and these changes affect how long – and how well – we sleep.

Additionally, certain medications used to alleviate symptoms of geriatric medical conditions can, in fact, cause more sleep disturbances.
Glad I asked for advice on the problem.

Self-faults that one has detected…
Situations that one has diffused,
One’s capabilities… now disintegrated,
Awareness of being disprivileged,
Dreams, hopes, now devastated,

The air we breathe, spiked, defiled…
Promises, compassion are disparaged,
As truth and decency are disavowed,

The poor demotivated & denigrated,
Violence, wars, Oligarchs delighted…
The balloon-of-hope is now deflated,
Death disregarded, water disconnected,
Innocents dehydrated, decapitated,
The world has never been so divided,

Commoners lives & deaths
 disacknowledged,
Lifetimes of pain for the disadvantaged,
Millions of colaterally-damaged, destituted,
Our new HMG has already disintegrated,
Sadly, these facts do not deprehend!

Inchie Today: Wednesday 17th June 2026 – Teriible start ot the day!

MUST BE THE WORST DAY EVER – UP TO NOW
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
LOUSY NIGHT – CRUEL MORNING
Managed a few moments of sleep, kept waking up in a right peed off mood. Just needed sleep, but the demons and evilf-fieindly bad-luck-bringing thoughts of my own concoction seemed unbeatable today.
Rising from the bed and hobbling my way to the nocturnal Catheter pouch on the floor near the recliner, my right leg gave way, and once again, as yesterday, I was fortunate enough to lean towards the chair to land semi-softly and injury-free.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I was still sitting in it, and trying to nod off again, as the intercom chined out its “Oh, Susana” tune. The knee gave way as soon as I stood up, and by the time I’d got to the panel to admit the Carer, it had closed down. I waited a few minutes to see if they had been admitted or would ring back, then returned to the recliner, expecting the Carer to come in. “Oh, Susana”, rang out again. This time, I got to the box a bit quicker and in time to let them in.
Carer Mizra appeared, did a body check, and creamed or gelled the areas in need. Shoulder, back and genitals. Then Mizra got the medications issued.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I was pleased with how the new computer was working. When first opened, both external drives were accessible! But, of course, within a few minutes, they had disappeared. Back to normal, then.
The hour-and-a-half Carer visit didn’t happen, the same as yesterday.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
1) The computer, specifically CorelDraw, froze as I clicked export for the Cartoon to go to the file to use here.
2) I could not close down by the regular route. So had no choice but to turn off at the power sockets.
3) But I could not get the computer to reboot.
Nothing but trouble since paying £850 plus fitting to get this computer, and I could not find his telephone number!
But knew that Mizra had it, as he liaises for me.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
4) Carer Andrew made the short midday call. I asked him to ring Mizra and ask him to call the engineer. No reply, so I don’t know if he did.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
5) While he was here, I tried a couple of times to get the computer back on, but both attempts failed.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
6) I found the Carer lying in the hallway on his mobile.
I thought he’d gone. I asked him again to contact Mizra for me. No response.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
7) I did get the loading to go as far as the opening label screen, but this one usually comes up first… so it was not a surprise when the ‘Working Circle’ appeared and the mouse arrow showed on the screen. It stayed like this for over an hour! Demoralising!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
8) I turned everything off at the power again and lost the TV signal in doing so, and heard a series of Beeps coming from the hard drive.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
9) All off again. TV was not affected this time.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
10) This had to be my last try. I was so downhearted.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
11) Then, I got a telephone call from a something navigator, from the Doctors Surgery. She mentioned a meeting with advisers I’d been invited to via email. There was a vague memory, but nothing certain. The lady explained it was about sorting people’s needs out, and the best way to do so. I jumped at the chance. I think she said someone would be calling to arrange a meeting.
Linda, I think her name was. I mentioned my wish, if possible, to go into a home. In hopes of relieving the tensions from getting nothing sorted, with problems being added almost daily, which challenges my sanity,  health, and my ability to cope.
12) Today is a good example.
The early tumbles. The computer is playing up yet again. No hot water. 4 weeks since my last shower or shopping assistance. Adding to the Banking, British Gas, Virgin Media, the new Catheter’s lack of information or instructions. No help was given with managing procedurally.
13) Do I carry on with a weekly day-bag change? Is it safe to use with a nocturnal pouch fitted?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
14) Not that I could put photos on the blog, anyway, both camers are broken!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
14) Now, my prime love/hatred, the new computer, cannot access CorelDraw or Excel. So, there are no graphics or photographs that can be used. Other than any already in the WordPress gallery.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
15) I rang the District nurses for help on how to manage the new Catheter, who told me to contact the QMC. I went on a little about the situation I am in.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I then rang Jenny, who rang back. But I was not really with it t the time, in fact, I had a nasty seizure after making the call, mind blank. Extra confusion.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
16) I received a call back from the nurses while still a little out-of-it. I was asked if I am really interested in going into a home. I think I took this opportunity to get my thoughts out, and they will ask Matron Jackie to see if she can get the ball rolling. Brilliant. Cause things are getting worse here now. Problems increasing, solutions decreasing.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Movements from the rear end started again today, all in Constipation Conrad mode. A bit of blood each time from the haemorrhoids. At least no accidental evacuations with Conrad.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I’ll have to do only the Ode. Oh, it’s been such a busy, annoying day; I’ve not done it yet.

I suspect this blog holds ampullosity?
Changing moods bring ambivalency,
Spent most of the day crestfallenly,
Spent many sessions self-critically,

Problems show
ing no curability,
Concentration, showing a deficiency,
Hopes, needs, logic, all seem to disagree,
Depression increases, diurnally…
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Is life, like a politician, an effigy?
Not realistic, no ecclesiology?
What happened to youth’s excitability?
80, first time owing for your electricity?
Into the mist, goes you equilibrity,
No more mental or physical euphony…
I used to hope for an epiphany…
But life now proves more euphuistically,
I also dreamt of finding eudaemony…
I got this depressing ennui!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
It was once suggested by Dr Neurology,
To help me electroencephalographically,
But that was in September, 2003,
Then a stroke, TBI, and Cancer hit me,
Dr Neurolgy again saw me in 2023,

Sometimes I can think with clarity…
I hasten to add, this happens rarely,
Then my mind goes wanderingly,
Mind blanks can hit anytime, lastingly…
or for a few moments, mysteriously,
Moments too, of great falability,
Frequent occasions of mental obliquity,
With unstoppable times of neurotomy,
Hoyrly changes to me nimiety,
Dementia turned me flibbertigibbety,
Duodenal ulcer, hernia, verbal nugacity,
But can I face the nitty-gritty?
The crux of the problematic matter?
Slowly but surely going détraquée!
I’m now an ace at dontopedalogy,
Few teeth left, crinkled skin, pilgarlicky…
Had enough of life’s woes & mallarky,
Being as I don’t want to sound sarky…
To avoid moaning and negativity,
I blame it on my pfropfschizophrenie!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Lack of control, of happenings & events,
My ever-changing consciousness,
From unawareness to utter cluelessness.

People I talk to will see/hear a difference…
No in-between, Depression or High Horace,
Decisions to be made, I’m on the fence,
Knowing danger, what’s my response?
Forget; as it dies in my memory disperses,
Involuntarily, to my memory burners,
Lack of control, of happenings & events.
Make life a struggle, that’s so intense…
Worries, problems, Catheter, fears…
Self-hatred, incapable, many mental fratches,
Solutionless, can’t batten down any hatches,
I hate my changing moods & responses,
Often say things I find erroneous,
Mostly to myself, & of course Darius,
Important dates, numbers, emails…
Texts, etc., that no one can solve,
Fade away, making me feel injudicious,
I used to think that life was so precious,
Now it’s approaching worthless,
New computer, camera, faith, & hopes,
All kaput, I feel so inefficacious,
Really, my outlook is hopeless…
I hate my changing moods & responses.

Inchie Ode: Saturday 13th June 2026

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I appreciate Earth’s coming extinction,
I hold my own-formulated view, an apriorism,
What brought about this abnormalisation?
Which worsened with each generation,
Bringing about this apocalypticism,
Be it Oligarchs making ammunition…
Gangsters, Mafia, or another Politician,
Judges, give five 5 tears for non-fatal arson,
Murderers get 10, out in five with remission,
A fine for Bankers showing corroboration,
Barristers, judges, hypocritical and alien,
Starmer, Trump, Xi Jinping and Putin…
Each dishonest, a liar, using abstraction,
They start wars, just for a distraction…
What can be done by the proletariat, scum?
Are all crooks standing at each election?
Starmer is a clever liar; taught as a barrister,
Who often welcomes a backhander,
This is why he is sadly still in power,

Starmer the feigner, the verbal-dribbler,
But the opposition is not a lot better…
Kemi Badenoch, Tory Shadow Leader…
Your Party, the only NHS supporter,
I feel for Kemi, after the Tory disaster,
Nigel is the only leader who’s a smiler,
Despite his failings, Keir’s still the leader?
PM? I see him as a National Grim Reaper,
Promises not kept, the NHS sinks deeper…
He’s a disingenuous, foxy equivocator,
So, I’m ready for my sepulchre…
Life is now full, apocryphally,
I’ve no strength to act anarchically,
Last week, the nurse said to me…
A blocked Catheter is a medical emergency.
The next day, the Catheter was blocked, poor me!
Two nurses came to change the contraption,
Both failed to complete the action…

My Willie refused each attempted insertion,
After they held a phone conversation…
Told me to get a taxi to the QMC,
Reporting to the A & E…
So, I did, it cost me £25.40!
Getting there took time, an hour and forty!
Got inside, the place, A & E, was filthy…
No towels or paper in the WC,
Through the lesions, I began to forcefully pee!
I waited until I was called in the A & E,
Got called, I went, urine drippingly…
A nurse asked questions, & did my BP,
Back in a chair, ever waitingly,
To another waiting room, he led me,
Then the lesion wee’d, more forcefully,
I hobbled back to the main room WC,
Now it had towels and bog rolls, thankfully,
Clean up what I could, embarrassingly,
Returned to the waiting room number three,
“Where have you been?” She said to me,
I had a leak, had to go to the cludgie,
“They’ve moved you to the back of the queue!”
She said, smiling, “I took a seat, waitingly!”
A good job, this was a Medical Emergency!
They may have sent me home to return on Friday,
Two yobboes were arrested, while I sat patiently,
Getting late, will they have time to tend to me?
A Urologist called my name, eventually…
To his cubicle, he then guided me,
He set about putting in a new style Catheter…
With a hook on the end to go into the bladder,
He failed his first try, I was worried…
Tried & failed again, tut-tutted, and phoned,
“We’ll try once more, with Mr Edward”…
“Follow me!” So, did…
Not in a good mood for failing…
He urged me along, as I was hurried,
Mr Edward was not happy either, I’m afraid,
Had his coat on, his expression gave out dread…
He didn’t speak; maybe he was an android?
His angry eyes, I had to avoid…
Think he was on his way home, thus annoyed,
He wasn’t pleased working where I’d wee’d,
He had a go getting the hooked tube inserted…
Gave out a mild growl when he failed,
Tried once more, success was achieved!
No tips or advice on the new Catheter device,
No, I’m wrong, I was not supposed…
to touch the stick-on pad on my thigh!
Got his coat on, out the door he did fly,
I stood in the corridor, like a homunculi,
No one in sight, I almost wanted to cry…
The nice nurse came to me, eye-eye…
I’m to wait in the corridor, and defunkify…
Waiting on a lift home, which was nigh!
Glad I was classed as a Medical Emergency,
Cause I saw no signs of any urgency,
The men came to the ambulance & they led me,
To the vehicle with pains in my right knee,
Then I must admit, to a little self-pity…
As the drivers locked me in and left me,
Tired, hungry, cold, and stinking of pee…
As they went to collect more patients,
To collect them from different departments,
Slowly, they loaded up the ambulance,
I dropped off last, as midnight advances,
They took me up to the flat, taking no chances,
In case I had any tumbles or seizures,
Rang NCC control, using the Alert Controllers,
Then I found the hot water, icily colder!
No wash, shave, or urine removal,
Too risky for me to keep boiling the kettle,
Warmed water, to clean the crutch and testicles,
The Catheter sticker, and divider adminicle,
It moved, collapsed, pulling on my appendicle,
The sticker fell off after a while…
Remember, it’s a Medical Emergency…
To which I should get a taxi to the QMC,
Couldn’t afford a taxi home; I had barely a penny!
I calmed down to make an appraisal…
Nine hours and £25.40, to get fitted…
Four hours later, I involuntarily micturated,
It’s Sunday now, and I’m well-miffed,
I hope you can follow my drift…
Then you can advise me,
My body & mind are acting inappropriately,
I’ve lost my Ode plot again, sadly…
Even thinking is rather addledly,
The right leg is much easier today,
Unlike Shaking-Shoulder-Shirely,
She’s giving me near agony,
I asked Carer Mizra to ring the Doctor,
Then he can arrange a day and hour…
That fits in with the ICC Carers,
I think that’s sensible and wise,
Hope the Catheter has no blockages,
No advice or guides from the QMC Doctors,
On managing with the new Catheters,
All I’ve been told by the nurses is…
“Any problems, get a taxi to the QMC”,
Taxi? I may not have enough money,
And it is a Medical Emergency.
The nurses will be glad to see the back of me,
What with me calling them fortnightly,
And my squirting, spraying my pee…
Through the lesions on Little Inchy,
I think I’d be better in a home residency,
I wouldn’t be bothering Frank & Jenny,
For doing this, I’ve always felt guilty,
Waiting on many a visit, neurology…
Cataracts & Glaucoma, retest the kidney,
Find out what’s causing the collapsing knee,
Help from Age UK, they promised me…
Someone would call, a wheelchair repairer,
Sort the water heater, so I can shower,
Help with the bank site, logging in,
Same with British Gas, and Virgin,
But I got new hearing aids that don’t fit,
I’m hoping to get some financial benefit,
Attendance allowance, will it pay for taxis?
For the instructed fortnightly visits,
I’ll lose a day each time. I’m so needy,
Solving issues? I’m incapable, pathetically,
Depression? I class myself as a Bezonian,
Living with pain, confusion and humiliation,
Without mental or physical coordination,
I’m linked to floccinaucinihilipilification,
I’m forlorn, forfoughten & feel forsaken…
Good luck to me is geason, within reason,
Frequently, I issue self-imprecation,
The brain will not stop its fermentation,
Even after a seizure, with the inanition…
I’m waffling on again, through frustration?
Moan, groan, grumble; is this self-deception?
To avoid possible self-deletion…
I’ve decided! My only solution…
To get things sorted, in fair condition,
Go into a Care Home, it’s the only solution!
I’ll ask how, with a solid conviction,
That way, I may avoid eviction!
