Cutbacks, sorry.
Still too dark, Hey-Ho!

I didn’t do a good job with my shot of the morning view. It looked right till I uploaded it. Tsk!

He started off last night.

I lost hours when this screen came up on the computer. I may have pressed something unintentionally, a combination? I’m always catching the Conrol, Windows or Alt button without sensing it. Not the foggiest what it was all about. I turned it off and rebooted; I could not type anything without all the text being highlighted? Anyone help me?
Still, it came back on, but CorelDraw would not let me select anything. I had a sob, spat a bit, swore and turned it off again for ten minutes.
Things seem to be working again???

The highlight of the day? I’ve just remembered I’m not to post photos of any Carers on here! So, I have removed it. So funny as well!

I got domestic help from Carer Kimberly. She cleaned the kitchen floor, then the wet room and floor, and, for her final task, hoovered the front room. Lovely!
As she was putting the speedmop away, I suggested I take a photo of her doing it, like they do in the TV adverts. She was all for it and joked about her going for a model job, acting for Flash.
I took two shots, and caught her action in whipping off the strip, just as on the TV. I loved having a laugh about it. I felt a part of things.

The Iceland order came. The only thing different or worth mentioning is they had no substitutes, and the bananas, a hand of five, only had one of them squashed and bruised. Very good! For them!

I spent hours and hours doing the blog again.
The ups & downs of life…
Like no longer having a wife,
Depressed and suffering strife,
I cut myself on the steak knife…
The computer is giving me grief,
My tender area was bleeding underneath,
Also bleeding were my gums and teeth,
Panicking, in need of relief…
My bad luck beggars belief!
My nose is running like a sieve!
Life seems emotionally expensive,
Sorry, I’m just being expressive!
Sorry, it was a smidge intensive!

Amazing sky again, well, the clouds.

How did you do?

Noshtime!
The photo I took of the stew had gone AWOL again from the SD card.

Well, there were still plenty of hassles, worries, and mistakes made. There were many visits and stings from . I have never had so many during the day before on a single day. I am greedy! Hehehe! The Doctor’s surgery gave me a tinkle. To make an appointment for them to give me painkilling injections in the knees, to counter & . I’ll see if I can remember to tell them about the latest ailment craze from . She made an appointment for 09:40hrs on Thursday, 18th April. Same day as I was to be going to the Diabetes Course in Bulwell. Can’t win ’em all… Humph, I can’t win any! Haha!
The replacement carpets ruined in the flood escapades arrived.
I cleaned the wet room again, another mess made by yours truly, Inchy. The hallway carpet had not dried yet, so I went into the wet room, taking black bits from the carpet onto the floor!
I decided to wash the bottoms of the slippers and dry them off well. Naturally, I got soapy water on the soft outers of the slipped and had to put them on the fairer to dry. Then, the need for the Throne arrived in a bit of a rush. I made more mess going in with my bare feet this time. Tried to use kitchen towels to clean it up, using my feet, but I couldn’t bend down far enough without suffering from the pain. And if I did get down, I’d probably not have been able to get up again! Then, trying to wash my feet, I got my plates of meat into the bowl alright, but at just the optimum time to cause me the worst degree of bother, as I was removing the dodgier right leg, prone to bursting into a wild dance of its own accord, I had a  , and tipped the bowl over! Thus had to clean the place up again for the third time! I took the bag of rubbish and put it in the waste chute. ; not realising how early it was in the day. (approx 05:00hrs) I’m going to get it in the neck now; from those people, I might have woken up. Tsk!
Finally, at long last, I set about having a shave (only one cut). I searched for the toothpaste. After a few minutes of failed investigation, I assumed it had dropped, and I’d taken it out in the waste bags. Arrgh! It was also the last of the prescription toothpaste.
I think at one time, I believed I was still asleep and dreaming. The showering was okay… just one clouting of my head on the power box today.
I got the medicationalisationing done. Amazing, I easily got the PPs on. No socks, of course, like a baby waiting for his nanny; the Carer will sort that out for me later
. I got on the computer. Carer Kimberly arrived. Socks on, medications, a mini-natter, and laughter were enjoyed.
There was a bit of mini-blank here. Hours later, the intercom rang out, and the first of the carpets arrived. Five minutes later, the second carpet (Well, rugs or mats, really).
arrived. We spent a few minutes setting the world to rights. She seemed to have a sore throat. I hope she is not getting the dreaded lurgy.
No idea why, but there must have been some logic in it somewhere; I made a J Sainsbury order for 14 days time. I think it may have been… no, no idea.
I called back later and returned the borrowed bag of ‘s. I was pleased to be in a position to help some other tenant out with the loan. It makes a change from flooding them out, and guilt returns!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Onwards to the photos.
The urine in the night bag looked much darker when I viewed it with my admittedly poor eyes.
The wet room farce was over. It looked good after three hours of mayhem and cleaning it up again… and again, and finally, once again this morning.
Damned good job I couldn’t sleep and got up early. Not that the poor devils living in the twelve-floors below, would appreciate it with me using the darned waste chute that early in the day. Guilt again!
This is the first picture of the view from the kitchenette that I took.
The amazing blue hue was back again. Bootiful!

I forgot to tell you, when I was cleaning the wet room, I used the new lavatory brush. Can I get it back in its hub? I still can’t.

The day pouch was filling up swiftly today. However, it was getting darker as the say went on. It usually does the opposite.
My first mug of Glengettie tea of the day. It really is the best I’ve ever tasted.
Shame I’m only allowed two cups a day. (Sob!)
The postman dropped my Anticoagulation results DVT, INR, and through the letter box. An increase in dosages. It’s a smidge low.
The most amazing cloud formation this evening.
Not unlike the news snippet above Mammatus clouds?
I see so many things in these three pictures.
I’ve put in this blog a little larger.
I hope that my fellow bloggers, Tim Price and Paul, and any reader, can see what I did in them. Who is a  Pareidolianist?
The second mug of Glengettie was enjoyed while I was blogging away merrily. The authenticity of the last bit is dubious.
Why the hell do I write so small? I know full well (at times) that my eyesight is crap, and I’ll not be able to read what I’ve written!

I got the smallest of the mats into the wet room. I decided this should be recorded for prosperity. Despite my shakes, I was determined to get a picture taken with the whole mat in it – I didn’t!

Carer Helen called, and medications were given.
After I offered them, she took about 40 of my DVDs with her, as I cannot see or hear them nowadays. She’ll collect the others later. Great, a clear out at last.

Better get the nosh prepared… it’s nearly midnight. A tastier effort tonight. Well, this morning.  (pork knuckle), Golonkowa, chips, a brown wholemeal baguette and a pot of naughty but so delicious lemon curd yoghourt.

I found it, but it took me 33 seconds.

Ironical Inchy: Thursday 7th March 2024

Definitely worry about this colour!

An eerie, misty morning. I like it!

Ablutions and medicating tackled.

Gums bleeding after teeth cleaning.
Shaving, eight tiny nicks, no bother!
Showering: I deliberately took my time doing this. And I got through it without a single Accifauxpas or Whoopsiedangleplop. Smug-Mode Engaged!
Medicationalisationing: Harold’s Haemorrhoids were exceptionally tender. Little Inchy was bloodied, but nothing unusual in this. Olive oiled the earholes.
I applied eye sprays. Phorpain gelled both cartilages; I put plenty on and rubbed it in well.
Then, the big challenge… Getting the
Protection Pants on. A bit of a farce… However, I did eventually get them on, but a slight tearing of the pants was overcome by my ingenious (well?) plan to use the Catheter tape to hold them together.
I even walked out of the wet room without knocking into the door frame. Smug-Mode Mark2

I started this blog but haven’t gotten very far…
For then, the interruptions flowed.
The gentleman from Diabetes Support rang. He explained that they could not meet me face-to-face, but I could use the App. I asked what that was: On your
mobile phone! – My mobile phone does not have internet access! – What? – My mobile phone does not have internet access! Well, use your iPad! (I’m not sure if he said iPad or ePad) – What are they? I can use my computer, can’t I? – No, it is not set up for computers,  ask your doctor if she can arrange anything!
So, my hopes of getting any help with Diabetes 2 were over. I’ll have to find the time to search for advice on my computer. Felt a smidge low now.

Another try at blogging… The landline chimed and flashed; It was someone asking about the bed. Had the bar been fitted or not? – Yes! – Then someone will come out to you with a new mattress. – The one on the bed is new, I think? – That one was the wrong size! – Yes, they sent the wrong-sized bar as well. – That’s why I’m checking to see if the new bar has been fitted – Yes…
Can we come to fit the new mattress today? It’s no problem; I’m in all day. – Good!
I was a little perplexed, but I had to get back to starting this blog (I never did; you’ll gather that as I waffle on about my busy day).

Back to the blogging…

Carer Kara called; she only had 15 minutes, but she did an amazing job getting my socks on, checking the catheter bag, and putting my mind at rest about an email I’d had. Got the medications given and had to rush off. Thanks, Kara! ♥

Carer Christopher returned the laundry, and I put it away. Now, it’s well into the second half of the day!

Back to blogging…

I decided to make the second brew of the day; the first went cold again. I filled and sealed the waste bag.

Back to blogging…

The man with the mattress arrived. He was helpful; he had to remove the old mattress and put the new one on from the junk room (but they are all junk rooms).
Showed me how to use the lifter/lower control.

Back to blogging…

For about five minutes, it gave me time to put the first photos on in the wrong order and change them to where they should be…
I was sorting the wristbands out, and one of them snapped. I swore and bent down to retrieve it…
Clouting my forehead on the way down against the edge of the open drawer. Got up a little too quick, and paid me a visit. Naturally, this was of no bother to a man of my calibre and resistance to pain; I laughed the matter off. Ahem!

It was getting late, so I gave up on the blogging as the tiredness and fog descended.

I took this photo as I went to the kitchen to make some nosh. Carer Chris arrived, looking in a rush. Well, it was his last call before his going home time. Hehe!

The meal consisted of a four-bean stew with added mini sausages and baguettes. A lemon yoghourt, too!

I emptied the day bag and was ready to attach the nocturnal pouch. Getting so tired now!

Even I did – Easy-Peazy for once!

Inchy: Thurs 28 Dec 2023 Paroxysmal Impairment

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

A day of lack of concentration, depression, mistakes and frustrations. However, I did get some graphics done in advance. But it took me that long to achieve; the night and darkness had fallen, and I did little else all day. No shower or shave, no cooking or eating. I just got carried away with making the graphics and odeing. I couldn’t help it. The depression convinced me to do what I enjoy doing cause nothing is going to help my memory, dizziness, loss of balance and confusion.
It is at this moment, 18:20hrs. And I’m just starting this blog going. So, it will be another scarcity of details. Mainly cause I’m so tired and cannot remember much of what has happened! Sorry!
Gonna be another lack of sleep night, methinks.

04:14hrs: Woke up. It seemed a good idea, but I don’t know why I bothered!

Nocturnal urine was a bit lighter.

Started by sorting the waste bags into one.

The plan was to get a shower & shave, so I left off the leg and ankle straps when Carer Richard arrived. When I asked him not to put them on, I asked if he could please ring my landline, as I’d not had any calls coming in and was worried that Liberty-Global may have gone off again. I gave him the wrong number and cheered him up. He verbally suggested that I was a nuisance – he was right. I found the correct number, and he rang again; the first one I gave him was for the Audio Clinic. Tsk! The landline rang. Thus, it made me feel much better that no one had rung me for four days. Humph! Sulk! Hehe!

I am off to the wet room for the only visit up till now of this very wet, rainy Thursday.
Hey-Ho!

I took a half-decent shot to the moon as I made a brew of Glengettie… Dropped the mug, broke the mug, cleaned up the mug, and cut my hand doing so, and depression kicked off, along with self-anger.
Apart from getting in a tangle with computer blogging, I did little apart from taking photos of the rain all day into the evening. Self-Pitying Paul visited.

Making another mug of tea later, I thought about cleaning up the mess in the kitchenette window ledge. That’s as far as it got… thinking about it. Boy, was I in a low mood today? Yes, that is the answer.

I topped up the Carers & Nurses nibble box.

I took three rainy photos later from the balcony.
To the left, it was lighter as the sun was trying to rise.

Then, straight ahead.

Took the one above a couple of hours later.

An hour later, A depressed and only semi-interested Inchy took a snap of the end car park mudslide.

Later, I spotted a chap from the flats on his disability scooter going up the gravel path to the park. He was driving along like Stirling Moss. The legal limit for these is 8 mph, but he was rattling away at well over that speed and uphill. If I get one, I’ll ask him where he got this one from.

.
I took another shot of the same area as I did about two hours ago. The watery mud must have doubled in size! If the rain doesn’t stop soon, folks will need waders, maybe even a snorkel, to get to their car! Hehe!

.
Getting dark now, but the rain had stopped.

I tried to take three shots of the late evening view.
Not good this one…
Not good, but better than the first?
Ah, well!

I didn’t, and not much wiser now that I’ve seen the rings on this explanation, what’s different about the yellow glove? Ah, I’ve gorrit now!

Bread at last!
I got the bread, all but one loaf, into the freezer to last me until next week’s Asda delivery.
The tomato sauce I ordered turned out to be something else. It warned on the label that it was an extra pungent chilli sauce. I’ll give that away!
The Danish loaf (substituted for Milk Roll bread) was eaten later with the evening meal.

I put some honeyed parsnips in the oven. And a can of curried beans, with tomato & basil sauce, and a suitable splashing of the Beetroot Borscht into the pan. Adding some gammon slices cut up.
Slurp!

Carer Israel arrived as I was serving it up.
No ankle or leg straps to take off. He gave me medications and attached the Catheter Nocturnal bag extension to the day bag. Nice lad!

Zzz!
