GMX06a WD 150.0.0 02 From approximately midnight, I had Thought Storms aplenty. Broken by a precious few nod-offs, they were only a few minutes long, the instant I jumped awake, it was as if I had been searching in my slumber, for worries, concerns, and fears, building them up for when I woke, and the soul-destroying Brain-Storming recommenced!

04:30hrs: I woke for the umpteenth time, and all signs of mental aggravation had gone. I was no longer bedevilled! Not knowing why this suddenly occurred was a mystery, but of no interest to me, I was just so pleased that they had. In fact, it put little life into me as I cheered-up.

Getting out of the second-hand, £300, c1968, not-working-broken-down, most cringeworthily sickening beige-coloured, rickety recliner, has not been done with such ease for many a month. I should have known better than to let myself get carried away! Good fortune, for me, is transmundane.

WDP 03eWD 150.0.0 02 WD 150.0.0 a02 As I gained some semi-balance and was reaching for the four-pronged walking stick, and Dizzy Dennis had a go at me. (He’s not attacked me so ferociously for a while, but he made up for it this time!) I floundered and fortuitously fell back in the chair, via hitting my bum and piles on the way down against the arm. By ‘ecky-thump, I felt that! It took me a few minutes to gather myself, get over the shock, and then I tried (successfully) again to get up on my plates (feet).

Off to the kitchen, a little slower than usual, cause I didn’t trust Dizzy Dennis an iota. He’s a most cunning ailment. He’s on a par with Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters as top-dogs in the catching me out at the most optimum, dangerous timing, to cause me the greatest bother! The Swine!

I got the updating finished for the Sunday post and sent off. Nicodemus was particularly kind to me this morning. Then got the link Emailed. On to TFZer Facebooking, I always enjoy that. Spent an hour or three on it. Next, on the WordPress Reader section. Some great reads and photographs on there!

1Mon02I had a quick check on the latest sad news from the virus.

The landline burst into sound and flashed. I thought it might be the Phlebotomy Nurse calling to say she would be in tomorrow and give me the time scale. It was Sister Jane calling, bless her.

During the socially-distanced chinwag, she told me to write clearly. I mentioned the problems that are stopping me doing so. She suggested I have plenty of time on my hands, and I should learn shorthand. Hehe!

She and Pete are waiting for their free food parcel to arrive. Jane is very disappointed with the last one. They gave her amongst the many freebies, instant coffee, they use filter coffee, mentioning with a smiling voice; ‘Of course, you don’t get a free parcel do you’ (Muffled laugh, suspiciously heard!).

She mentioned that she had been doing some cleaning. Pointing out she realises I don’t, and I should get more exercise done. After the conversation, I felt about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Hahaha!

The doorbell chimed, and I found a pot of butter on the carpet outside. Obviously the work of Angel Jenny again. Bless her cotton socks!

Some tip-tapping noises were keeping me company from somewhere, as I made a brew of Thompsons Punjana tea, and then made a start on this blog.

Within a few hours, I’d got as far as here, and the need for CorelDraw graphicalisationing grew more urgent, as I realised I was out of page-top, Thoughts and Day graphics all together! So, with the tap-tapping now accompanied by some clump-banging, I visited CorelDraw ad started what turned out be a marathon session. But only managed two of the six graphics I needed to do. Humph!

I went to make a brew of Glengettie and pictured a man and his dog.

1Mon05b

1Mon06bThe intercom rang forth, it was the Iceland delivery. It’ll or nothing innit? Haha!

I put a can of plonk in the hallway for the driver. He was very chuffed! Which pleased me, too.

I made a start on the problematic, complicated and time-consuming task of getting the stuff in the cupboards fridge and freezer.

The doorbells chimed out again. I was a little miffed at being disturbed in the middle of mess sorting out the groceries; but thought it might be the other pair of trousers they have not delivered yet, so my spirits raised just a tad.

It was Josie returning the tray and things from the nosh. She said she enjoyed it and was, at last, isolating herself. Both made me feel good for her.

Back in the kitchen, and crammed the stuff, after reorganising the things a little. Plenty of nosh in now. Bleach might be a problem, but not yet, I’ve now got a bottle and a half left, so things are not anywhere near desperate.

I got the oven warming up. Then pondered on what to have for the nosh, my choices were multitudinous. Hahaha!

I thought I’d have some of the oddly called ‘Naturally Imperfect Chips’ from Iceland, chips. This will mean more room in the freezer. Some cooked meat of some sort; or sausages will make a little room in the fridge for me.

It really is jam-packed in there now.

I nipped to have a wash, nothing serious, like an ablutions session, mind.

WDP 11mL1Mon05aWD 150.0.0 a02 Crumps and botherations! I knocked the clock off of the toilet top, and guess where it fell?

I assume you’ve guessed right. Straight down into the water in the water in the WC. Grrr! So very-most annoying!

I got the chips in the oven and sorted out the nosh ingredients available to use. Then I made a start on one of the most flavourful noshes of the year so far! Inspired, I was. Mind you, I kept changing my mind of what meat to have, ending up with one of the turkey sausages.

A wholemeal cob, a bottle of spring water, a terribly crumbly tasteless apple (One bite was enough to convince me to bin it!), and a Skinny Bar nougat (Tasty) were the extras.

The main plateful was the best bit. ‘Naturally Imperfect Chips’ I seasoned with black pepper and vinegar, the Netherlands-grown Piccalo tomatoes were fantastic considering how out of season they were, sea-salted. I used some of the frozen petit pois for the first time and added some demerara sugar. I was not too impressed with the peas, but everything else on the plate went down fine and flavoursome. A rating of 9.26/10!

I was so impressed with my effort, I took shots of it from different angles on the tray. Did you notice the last picture had something added for an extra treat? Hahaha!

1Mon10

I ate it all up (Well, not the crap apple) masticating so slowly and savouring it. Apart from the fruit being thrown away, I ate and enjoyed the lot. It was about the time I made a decent meal!

1Mon06CInto the kitchen to do the washing up. I spotted two youths on the bottom field, a skateboarder and a cyclist, so my hackles-lifted. I’m not sure if they were rolling spliffs, cigarettes, or taking crack, but I took this decentish shot of them. When I viewed it on the camera, I realised the Saccades Sandra as playing and jumping about my focussing, shame! I used this shot as a background and made a Thoughts graphic in the morning.

I was determined to get some sleep tonight. (Huh!)

WDP3eLWD 150.0.0 02 Took the medications, and as I got settled into the £300, second-hand recliner, I soon realised I needed to use my hands to feel my way safely into the seat. (Luckily, Nicodemus’s Neortramsmitters’, and Shaking Shaun didn’t visit me st the time) Saccades Sandra was bad tonight, and I could not use the ploy of watching TV to help me get to sleep. Getting the focus right, too bothersome and headache encouraging. Then Toothache Tim kicked off. This was not going to be a peaceful night, methought. Sadly, I was right! I eventually got myself into a semi-comfortable position. Pulled the woolly hat over my eyes, and prayed that the Thought-Storms would not start.

WDP 2019B01AWD 150.0.0 02 The landline phone rang and flashed. I fumbled to get my spec’s on and get to the phone in time. It was my new Phlebotomy nurse. She will be calling in the morning between 0800hrs and 12:00hrs, to take the Warfarin Blood for testing. I thanked her, and returned to the chair, noticing that Saccades had eased off, and I could focus easier again. Which was good!

For some unknown, but pleasant reason, the Thought-Storms did not arrive. Which, on the face of it, was magnificently encouraging thing.

WDP 02lbWD 150.0.0 02 But the IBON (Inchcocks-Bundle-of-Nerves), anxiety and agitation attacks started the moment I got back down in the recliner! I really cannot recall how many times I struggled up, to go and check on something, taps (faucets) lights, oven, wet room sink, etc. over the next few hours. By the time I dropped of, the physical efforts and mental fatigue helped me nod-off.

At least I got a few hours in. Hey-Ho!

000 April 18

GM0056Sat0403:15hrs: I woke up, with the theme tune, “Life, is the name of the game, and I wanna play the game with you” ringing in my head? It took me a while to recall where the tune was from.

It was the introduction to Bruce Forsyth’s Generation Game. What brought this to mind, I don’t know. But I do remember watching it all those years ago and being amazed at how much work Bruce put into it to make it work. My favourite Game Show of them all on TV.

On the radio, it was Just a Minute, with host Nicholas Parsons, Clement Freud, Kenneth Williams, Derek Nimmo, and Peter Jones, they were my preferred panellists. Two shows I hated to miss, and the reason for my buying my first tape recorder and DVD. Ah, they were the days!

I seem to remember getting home and putting the motorbike away in a rush, to get in and my new colour TV (Wigfalls 3/6d [17½p] a week rental) on to watch it. Happy Days! The Larry Grayson and Jim Davidson efforts at hosting the later shows, were as expected, abysmal. I just thought I’d mention it, like.

As I lay there, hearkening back to my more confident, happy and in good health days, the stomach-churning burst into life. Thus the one thing that mattered (I thought at the time), was to escape the £300, second-hand, none-working, c1968, rickety recliner, catch my balance and stick, to get to the wet room lickety-split! Which, I surprised myself in doing quickly and accident-free, Slight swagger mode adopted (Temporarily).

WDP Dec 26bWD 0.95.0 I shall not go into too much detail of the terrible, trying, tantamount to agony-ridden evacuation.  But Constipation Conrad had the upper-hand in the battle. I was on the Throne for about 20-minutes. The crossword book as tackled. Blood flowed. And all with the one line of the ‘the Generation Game’ milling about in my head. Hehe!

WD 0.95.0 Then, as I made my way to the kitchen, Toothache Terence kicked off. Soon to be joined by Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun. And extra Cocodamol was taken with the Codeine and other medications. For about five minutes, the mind-haze and memory loss had me worried. I was so close to pressing the alarm wristlet, thinking what can tell them, how do I explain what I’m going through without sounding potty? I was so pleased when things seemed suddenly to go back to my usual, merely semi-confused state. Yet, puzzled to how quickly and abruptly, things changed again.

WD 0.95.0 Of course, this triggered the fretting all over again, it always does when I have a memory blank, even a short couple of minutes one like this; I just had to check things, taps, lights, stove, door. When I got to the hallway, I found two letters on the floor.

6Sat07

One double-sided A4 from Citycare. I p[ointed out their plans an dedication to making sure we are all safe and instructed us what to do if we have any of the symptoms of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). We have to call 0300 131 0300 – Option 1, then Option 5, between 0830am to 1700hrs pm, Monday to Friday. Being as it is Saturday morning now, I hope I do not get any symptoms for two days.

WD 0.95.0 They also kindly gave us a 107 digit email address to use. That’s a guess at the number, cause Saccades-Sandra is playing up and I can’t focus properly to read it. Luckily, Saccades and other ailments I have are not sufficient to get me a weekly food parcel. So, I shall be of no bother to them. And am so glad that Nottinghamshire County Council, have supplied Sister Jane and hubby Pete with a delivered box of food weekly. Jane told me this while she was out shopping for eggs, bacon and some wine. They didn’t take the car or electric bike with them, that remained in the new garage at the mansion on the tree-lined avenue, with the eleven CCTV cameras, burglar alarms, pressure alarm pads and wine cellar. But, I’m contented in my three-roomed flat and being isolated and unable to get food.

Shame I don’t qualify for a weekly food parcel, but there you are. I’ll just stay here, with Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters dying and Peripheral Neuropathy making me have accidents and dropping things, scolding myself etc., Mechanical Aorta valve replacement, Hernia Harold, Burgabasia-Bernie, Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, Stuttering Stephany, Anne Gyna, Rheumatoid Arthur Itis, Little Inchies Fungal Lesion bleeding away accompanied my Haemarrahoid Harold, Fluid Retention Robert, Furesomide induced wee-wees, Craig Cramps, Dizzy Dennis, Back-Pain-Brenda, falling over when I get an involuntary Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance from Neuropathic Nigel’s right leg, Conrad Constipation, Reflux Valve Roger sticking, Prediabetes Petunia demands, injecting Enoxaparin in my tummy,  battling and getting injured by the Sock-glide, coping with the memory blanks, and picking at the bloodied scars from Clopidogrel Clive’s growths on my legs.

As I said, at least I don’t qualify for a food parcel, like others who have cars, wealth, health and the nerve to accept their food parcels. At least I have Jenny ♥ keeping her eye on me, and others, and a caretaker who brought me a bottle of bleach when he heard I couldn’t get enough.6Sat02

But, it doesn’t bother me at all! Tsk! Hehehe!

WD 0.95.0 I made a start on checking Emails and went to check up on the latest Coronavirus statistic.

Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failed at just the wrong, the most inopportune time!

The right hand did one of its as yet rare, shooting off in varying directions, just as I was typing. The bout merely lasted a few seconds.

But it was long enough for me to get this these two windows to appear on the computer screen!

I don’t know what the fingers or hand hit to get these up, but it frit me I can tell yers!

Being a computer workings idiot is not easy. Becoming one was!

I thought I’d buggered it up now! Understanding things, working out what it was on the screen was beyond me.

Fear of losing the computer and depression took over the mind for a minute or two.

I closed the windows and sighed muchly with relief when things 6Sat03seemed to be working okay.

Maybe, if things ever get back to normal, I might be able to find a college or something that runs courses on understanding the workings of a computer. What am I thinking? with my memory? And the courses will be night ones! And Nicodemus’s nerve-ends are dying anyway, so are not going to get any better, only worse, which means I’ll have to eventually give up computing all together, that hurts!

I continued to search for the virus figures. I don’t think they are anything to get too hopeful about yet.

I went to make a mug of Glengettie and came out of the doldrums a little. Especially as I made the brew, without any spills, shakes or nerve-end interference. That was a nice change.

WDPh 01WD 0.95.0A Then, carrying the tea into the junk room, I dropped the mug! I was so low in spirits, it didn’t seem to bother me much. I just cleaned up the mess, thinking how lucky I was in not breaking the cup.

I was determined to pull myself from the darkness.

The cold sunshine went in, and a tiny few spots of a shower fell. It lasted only for a minute or so. I carefully made another brew, Thompsons Punjana this time. Then took a couple of pictures of Chestnut Walk. There was still an earthy petrichor smell already, which was lovely.

6Sat11

A couple of free parking spaces, and no illegal parking at this end of the walk, ah, Saturday innit! Oh, I just noticed there was a bit of naughty parking on the double yellow lines. I think they have wisely decided to ignore this activity, with us having so few spaces available.

At long last, I got the updating started for the Friday blog. Soon got it finished, thanks to Nicodemus being kind, and despite Shaking Shaun doing his best to knobble my typing. Haha!

The rear-end wind continues to plump and plop, but not foul-smelling. Ah, I must take a mug of Macrogol first. If Colin Cramps lets me, he’s having another bash at the poor old fingers now. Dangwangles!

6Sat12WD 0.95.0 Checked the comments. Then some bits on Pinterest. Next, the WordPress Reader. Then onto TFZer Facebooking. Then I tried to get an Iceland order in, but no luck, slots unavailable. Even if they were, I can still only be allowed one bottle of bleach. Nowhere near enough for a week for me. Thankfully, Robert, our caretaker brought me a bottle that’s getting me through for a few days.

6Sat13Much CorelDrawing, making graphics for the blog tomorrow.

Mental fatigue made me leave the CorelDrawing.

I got the handwashing sorts out. Dressing gown, jammie bottoms and socks. All done, wrung and hung. I put the gown to hang in the wet room.

Got the ablutions done. No sock-glide confrontation, I left the bamboo socks off. The dropsies were a little higher than of late, that would be due to Nicodemus’s nerve-ends not sending any contact messages to the brain. At times this can get confusing and so frustrating. Especially when folks say, ‘Just be careful!’ Looking 6Sat19at me as if I’m an idiot.

Which is true! Haha! Because the neurotransmitters fail to tell the brain, as they come on and off-line variably and at their will.

WD 0.95.0A The shaving produced a few tiny nicks, nowt serious. Little Inchies lesion had bled only a few spits, again, no hassle; even the applying of the Cortiscord cream was not too painful. Which was a nice change for me!

6Sat18I got the nosh sorted out. Chicken breast, and tried the weirdly named Iceland fries, branded as ‘Naturally Imperfect Chips’. They were okay. The chicken breasts were a bit rubbery. Some seaweed crispies and an apple on the side on another plate. Two mini-Vienesse lemon cakes. No, that’s what they are called. I went to look at the part empty box. Lemon Whirls. A can of the delightfully tangy Clementine drink, too.

Ate it all, and I’d had my fill. Oh, the apple was awful, soft, dry! Never mind. A Flavour Score of 6/10.

I went to do the washing up and espied some dogs taking their owners for a walk in the bottom field.

6Sat17

I wish I could have a cat here in the flat, but I can understand the impracticality of it fully. I can take tumbles easily enough now, with the dizzies and neuropathic dancing legs, Arthur Itis… and a multitude of others with a ‘Let’s-Have-Inchcock-all-over-fancying’ nature. Imagine me having a pet to fall over as well! Hehehe! But it’s still sad making.

I got down in the Zyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting when I was in the Stroke Ward, and pilfering my money, recliner.

I watched a film all the way to the end; but with perhaps about fifteen few-minute nod-offs in between. Waste of time, I couldn’t follow the plot.

I lay afterwards, trying to ignore the rampant Thought-Storms, mostly of guilt, self-hatred, and isolation problems.

I must have nodded off eventually, cause I woke up in the morning! Hangalisationing Horror-time!

GM GreensLWD 0.50.0 2 02:10hrs: I woke with two voices talking to me, both apparently, mine? One said “Sod-it, go back to sleep,  soddum all!” the naughty me. The other, obviously a more conscientious me, said, “Don’t mess about, it takes you that long to get anything done nowadays, here is your chance to get caught up on your CorelDrawing, come on, gerrup!” The naughty me won this argument, and I drifted off back into slumberland!

4Thu16WD 0.50.0 2 05:00hrs: I’d been having a bad dream, where I was being chased by a gang of armed, vicious, blood-thirsty hoodlums again, through demolished offices, I sprang awake. Passed wind violently, and the innards started churning and rumbling, and a tummy-ache of Defcon Two proportions kicked in. My immediate thought, was, is this through those damned pork and leek sausages I ate last night? They looked almost white, the skin was three or four times the usual thickness for wienerwursts, I was a bit doubtful about eating them at the time. But I think not, cause they were very mild with a delicate taste of leeks, any pork flavour had done a bunk.

WD 0.50.0 2 I had no option other than to get my still aching from cleaning up the flood mess body, dragged off of the £300, second-hand, c1968 recliner, with some difficulty. Arthur Itis and Back-Pain-Brenda being the main culprits. Grabbed the stick, and wobbled to the wet room.

WD 0.50.0 2 And to think that I thought yesterday’s last visit was a painful one! This was a painful one! I almost tired myself out with all the agonising force needed to get things through. But at least, the bleeding was no worse, and not a messy evacuation.

Washed, and off to make a brew and take the medications. Toothache Terence wasn’t too bad for once, so no extra painkillers were taken… of course, I’ll probably get a Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance, Dizzy Dennis spell, or Shaking Shaun attack and injure myself later, and end up taking one anyway. (Depressed? Lack of Confidence? Anxiety? Insecurity? Self-doubt?, Self-loathing? Nervousness? Defeatism? Negativity? Pessimism? Demoralised? Despondent? Melancholia? Me? Yes!)

I took a couple of snaps of the view outside. The mist was clearing, I just wish the fog of depression would go away from me.

5Fri01

WD 0.50.0 2 On to the computer, and made a start on the updating of the Thursday post. It became a tad farcical, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters were on and off, which meant it took me even longer than I expected. Saccades-Sandra kept making focussing difficult at times. But neither were consistent, they keep coming and going. This was getting to me today. Hours were lost in just correcting things done wrongly through the senseless fingers or Sandra’s blurring of vision. What with the floods that were my fault, the struggle to sort out food, not being considered at risk, so no food parcels, I fear that depression is coming over me again. Sickly, pathetic self-pity! Humph!

5Fri05I made the comments on WordPress and then went on the Reader Section.

My usual heart and enthusiasm were not with me. I didn’t, couldn’t, seem to snap out of it this morning.

I checked the emails, I can’t work out if the virus situation is getting easier or not. Confirmed cases seem to be getting fewer. But, of course, there are millions of people who have not had any checks yet, so, if they check fewer patients, the figure will go down? And the deaths recorded are only those who died in a hospital. The hundreds who have died in care homes or their own home are not registered. According to the Guardian newspaper anyway.

WD 0.50.0 2 Boy, I’m on a downer today!

I emailed the blog link and pressed on, stutteringly with this blog.

The landline tinkled and flashed. Sister Jane, who was out shopping, to get some eggs on Central Avenue in West Bridgford, rang me from the ‘Social Distance’ waiting queue! She said she was at number 18 on the list.

It really cheered me up a bundle, when I was informed that she and Pete had had there weekly freebie box of food delivered today. Fruits, canned goods, pasta, toilet rolls, vegetables, sauces, rice, cakes, bread etc., oh, I was pleased for them! I’m not complaining really (much!), I did get a loaf of bread and bottle of milk last week from the Nottingham City Council.

It seems I am not ill enough or do not have sufficient ailments for me to qualify as in need, for any food parcels. Nottingham County Council, give them out to fit people of the same age as me. Who are pools and lottery winners, have been left a fortune by unknown distant relatives, retired at 32, live in a mansion, on a tree-lined avenue, with a bus service at both ends of the road, car-owners as well! Luckily, this does not bother me.  Hehehe!

WD 0.50.0 2 Well, I might add something to the list of my ailments (Which are, Reflux Valve sticking, Mechanical Aorta Heart valve fitted, Duodenal ulcer, Hernia, Ever bleeding piles and awaiting a strangulation operation, Peripheral Neuropathy, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ischemic stroke, given Clopidgrel in hospital and found to be allergic to it, but it’s in my bloodstream, and blotches, lumps on the ever-changing legs have to be contended with now. Dizzy spells every day, At risk for falls, Saccades, Thrombophlebitis, and Neurotransmitters dying (right side of my body) which makes walking and keeping balance very difficult. Deafness, Warfarin for life, Bladder cancer. And now Stuttering-Stephanie (along with the deafness) is making life and communicating a bloody nightmare at times!

WDP 02LcBut this list above is not enough to get a food parcel. I’ll see if I can catch something else to add to these and try again. Depressed? Me?

5Fri08I went to make a start on prepping for the meal later. I got some canned potatoes in the saucepan, (Took them out of the can first, mind) and added some hoisin sauce and hickory.

WD 0.50.0a 2 I emptied the beef in onion into the pan with the potatoes. Unfortunately, Nocodemus’s nerve ends failed while I was pouring in the hickory, the whole lot tipped into the saucepan! I spent the next hour or so, keeping nipping in to extract some gravy and add boiling water, to weaken the juice. Boy, it was intense! Hehe! Another mess to clear up. Tsk!

The mist had cleared. I took a photo of towards Nottingham. Then zoomed right in to try and get a decent shot of the high-rise student flats right in the distance (Near the centre of the panorama photo).

5Fri04

A lady Vapour was taking her three doggies for a walk. I tried to catch all three dogs with her in one shot, but the younger one was very lively. Hahaha! I did manage to get one chance.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Well, I wanted to do some more graphics, but Saccades and Nicodemus decided I shouldn’t.

5Fri33So I got the nosh sorted out. I had overdone it with spilling the hickory into the stew. I and to remove a lot of gravy and weaken it, before serving it up. But it was worth the effort, it tasted most delightful! The flavour rating was a worthy 8/10.

I got it all slowly masticated and digested, got the washing-up done (Slow job).

The door chime rang out, and I stumbled to the door. It was Robert. Our caretaker, he’d kindly brought me a bottle of bleach. I think I must have mentioned to him on Wednesday, about not being able to get any. Kind of him. I ignorantly did not offer to pay for the bleach, I was half-out of things with Dizzy Dennis having a go at me at the time. Sorry, Robert, and thanks. Saved the day for me there!

WD 0.50.0 2 Settled to watch some TV, got my head down a bit earlier today, in hopes of getting some sleep in for a change. (Oy vey!) The self-derogatory thought-Storming started almost straight away! On, and on they flowed. Eventually, and thankfully, I nodded off…

WD 0.50.0 2 The landline rang and flashed, I struggled to get to the phone in time. I was the nice lady from the NCC Support Team. But Stuttering Stephanie came online, and the worst visit ever, I could hardly get words out, and when I did, the poor lady could not decipher them. Then said, “You don’t sound too well, I’ll ring you back later another day.” I thanked her, but then again, I think I thanked her and seemed to find myself back down on the recliner, with a blank period in between talking and getting sat down.

WDP 1LcbSleep had decided it would not return again, I’d upset it I think with keeping getting up.

I spent hours, musing, thinking, Thought-Storming, and passing wind!

GM DbrownLWD 50.0.0 03:30hrs: I came back to imitation life, with my body sat on, as opposed to laying on the £300, second-hand, sickeningly beige-coloured rickety recliner, that my xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete broke when he was flat raiding and stealing my valuables while I was in the hospital. (I must remember to ask him for them back, but I might as well talk to the wall) My feet rested on the serving tray on the floor. Crumbs and bits of bread were stuck to my feet, trapped in the folds of my pharaonically-sized stomach folds, and I even fund some in my right ear-hole! What the deuce had I been doing overnight? What a moyshe kapoyer I am!

As some focus, brain usage and limited concentration came back on-line, memories were triggered. I recollected eating the meal and falling asleep with the tray on my knee last night with the prospect of the much-absent sleep dawning, I drifted off… But by gum, I needed it! I got five hours in. Mind you, how long I spent nocturnally wandering and rearranging things in the room, I don’t know.

WD 50.0.0 I took a rather surprisingly ferocious wee-wee. Then off to the wet room with the GPEWWB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency-Wee-Wee-Bucket) to be emptied and cleaned and disinfected. I was caught-out again when I needed to use the Porcelain Throne, having been twice yesterday, and needing another. A painful session, and so bloody! So, more cleaning and sanitising were required.

I decided to leave the cleaning up of the bread crumbs until later, when I could use the hoover, without disturbing any neighbours sleep. To the kitchen.

5Fri01WD 50.0.0 Notwithstanding Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failing a few times, I took the medications, pain gelled poor old Arthur Itis’s knees and Shaking Shoulder Shirley’s scapular. Olive-oiled, the ear holes, sprayed Saccades eyes. The over-the-counter Haemorrhoid cream was used. The nasal spray used, and the Vaseline was applied to my cracked lips. Then, with gritted teeth; I grabbed and squeezed a clump of my sizeable, flabby dominated stomach area, and stuck the Enoxaparin filled hypo. Pushing in the warm, tingling mixture of Enoxaparin – Formula (C26H40N2O36S5)n: Which is metabolised in the liver into low molecular weight species by either or both desulfation and depolymerisation. I wanted to sound clever here and copied this off of the leaflet that was in the box. Of course, I knew all of this before… Hahaha!

Then made a brew of my beloved Thompson Punjana tea. A warm glow came over me, as I remembered getting the new stock, along with some Glengettie in from Amazon yesterday and now have enough to last me for a good while. A gratifying, and almost exhilarating feeling!

WD 50.0.0 I did try to use the Pill-Splitter again on the large 80 mg Atorvastatin boulder… I mean tablet. But just as when I have tried before, the ‘Splitter’ could not cut it, the blade got bent and distorted when I tried to use it. Most disappointing, I had to imbibe the crushed bits of tablet and powder left, by licking my licking and dabbing my finger to get it. Hahaha! So, I now have a tablet-crusher instead of splitter! Hey-ho!

I got on the computer and soon had the Thursday Inchcock Today updated and finished. Thanks, mainly to Nicodemus, Shirley and Shaun all being so remarkably calm?

I made up a template for this post. And went to make a brew and get some caramelised biscuits to nibble and dunk in the Glengettie tea filled mug. I took the pictures below from the unwanted, thick-framed, light & view-blocking, anti-photographer designed new windows that let the rain in.

5Fri05

This mist lingered on for a few more hours. Then as I got back with the brew, I thought I’d do a search for the Coronavirus updates on the web.

WD 50.0.0 I got an odd feeling as I did so, Sister Janet was coughing? I don’t know where this came from, but it concerned me, and it is too early to call her yet. She is not an early bird. I’m getting the shpilkes about this!

5Fri06I had a look up at the latest figures for the pandemic on Google. They are here on the right-hand side. They make bleak reading.

The fact that the USA has a population of 328.2 million, and the UK a total of 66.27 million, shows that we are being hit a lot worse?

5Fri007c

WD 50.0.0 I am well known for my mathematical incompetence, suffering from Athrithobia and numerophobia (although I am not affected by hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia), and am having difficulty in working this out. I’ll have a go at the calculator.

No, it’s just not there. The mind blanks arrive when I try to figure things out numerically. Humph! Back in my school days, I’d have got the cane, several clouts around the head, or both for not 5Fri12being able to get this worked out. I worked my way through the fear, and at one time, in Tesco in Duckworth Square in Derby, where I was cashing up 24 tills, and dealing with the Green Shield Stamps issue, without a problem. Then the stroke arrived, and since then, I have been struggling back with the phobia! Humph!

I waffled on there again, sorry!

I went on the WordPress reader. Then on CorelDraw, but got a lot of bother with the workings of the programme, and gave up. Did some TFZer Facebooking.

5Fri13♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out from the pressed door buzzers. Aha! It was an Amazon delivery. I now have stocks of the wonderful Gengettie and Thompsons Punjana tea, Marmite individual pots, pots of porridge, and the bitter-tasty San Benedetto Clementine juice, to last me hopefully all through the rest of the lockdown (I hope).

5Fri10

I’m getting short of places to store things again in the kitchen. The unused bedroom (Junkroom), is getting over-filled again. But I have teabags, some bleach, toilet rolls, bamboo socks, kitchen towels and preciously, a load of PPs (thanks to my mate Michael) in there now! Only the medications need serious attention now. Jenny helped me again with some antiseptic and corticosteroid cream.

I got on the computer again, CorelDraw is really causing me problems, never mind Nicodemus’s neurotransmitters dying-off, bother me as well! Grumph! Had to give up again.

The current situation with Amazon outstanding orders are, I think:

  • Friday: Nasal and eye spray.
  • Saturday: Another box of 24 Benedetto Clementine drinks might come as well. I looked up Benedetto, expecting it to be an area of Italy. It came out as Blessed, or Saint Benedict of Nursia (480–547), often called the founder of Western Christian monasticism. I don’t know why I bothered telling you that?
  • Sunday: Branston Pickle nibbles – Warfarin-Alert Wristbands
  • Tuesday: Medical screw-top pots
  • Thursday 16th -20th: Trousers. Both of the last two pairs bought from the market have holes in the pockets, the linings have split open or both! I don’t want to go out after such a long time and get accused of flashing. Hehehe!

I received a call from a pleasant-sounding lady from Direct something or other. NCC, as was the man who called yesterday. I was finding it difficult to hear all of the words spoken. And remembering everything is not easy. I thought I’m written something down about it, but cannot find any note? Reflux Roger, and Stuttering Stephanie, along with Deno deafness, all made things difficult for me.

But the lady was very kind and patient. And I’m sure I did much more of the talking than she did. It was so lovely to talk to someone who listened. I told her my life story almost, in between stuttering, gasping for breath and hiccuping. Hahaha! This was the highlight of the day for me. I gave her my blog name, and she said she’d have a look. No actionable help was needed at the moment with the shopping, I thanked her for calling.

WD 50.0.0 Much more verbiage was bantered and shared, but with the state of my memory, it’s not easy to recall. The most annoying thing is there may have been something important to record. Making me more agravannoyed with myself for losing the note I wrote!

5Fri11WD 50.0.0 I got the meal sorted out. Nothing like I thought it was going to be earlier on. Algerian tomatoes (Crap!), McCains oven chips (Horrible!), Baxter’s beetroots (Bland!), a cheese lump (lousy, insipid), Buttered bread and smoked ham Dry, tasted aged, the butter was greasy?), A shame, I thought I just might be coming down with a cold, and that has affected my taste-buds? Even the apple was crumbly and floury! Saving grace? The apple pies and the can of the tangy, bitter-tasting clementine juice, I liked them! Flavour rating; 4/0. I didn’t eat anywhere near all of it.

I got washing-up done and fleetingly thought of the possibility of my doing the handwashing. (I didn’t!)

Got settled down in the £300, c1968, sickenly beige-coloured, second-hand, not-working, Broken by my xyrophobia-suffering, chaetophorous, anti-epilation Brother-in-Law Pete. At the same time, he was flat-sitting when I was in the Stroke Ward, and stealing all my valuables). With a bottle of spring water, some yoghourt covered cashew nuts, and the GPEWWB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency-Wee-Wee-Bucket) disinfected and nearby in readiness for later use.

WD 50.0.0 It really was heaven, as the eyelids drooped, with the promise of the rare and resistant sleep, was on its way. But no! I’d forgotten to take the evening medications! Reluctantly, I clambered out of the chair, grabbed the four-pronged stick and hobbled to the medical drawers and got out the medicines. Took the tablets, then, medicines. (No Enoxaparin injections due again now until further notice). Got earholes olive-oiled. Sprayed Saccades-Sandra’s eyes. Nasal sprayed the nose and throat. Phorpain gelled Arthur Itis’s knees. Had a gargle of TCP for the sore throat.

WDPleftGot the Clobetasone Butyrate cream, and went to the wet room to clean up Little Inchies fungal lesion and applied the cream (I usually do this in the WC room, cause my screams of agony cannot be heard and disturb my neighbours with the door shut). This is the second most painful of my medicalisationing sessions.

Occasionally, the Sock-Glide battles can be just as bad. I don’t know who designed these, but obviously, they did not give a thought to anyone with the shakes or dizzy ailments and might be averse to losing finger ends, blood blisters, stubbed toes, and to having lumps of flesh torn from their legs! It may have been Jack the Ripper, or Dr Harold Shipman?

5Fri14

I freshened up and returned to the uncomfortable old recliner, and settled again.

WDP 003gWD 50.0.0 As per regular nightly, the Thought-Storms began, and during this session. I wondered if I left the tap on in the bathroom or even the sink? It was ghost-like, weary, frustrated Inchcock, who somehow or other, forced his elephantine stomached body up on its feet again and limped to check on the taps, lights, stove etc. top make sure all was safe. I don’t think this is an Obsessive-compulsive disorder OCD. It seems to be from my lack-of-confidence base? There must be a word for it. Anyway, all was okay. I got another bottle of spring water and returned to the, that by now, seems to be laughing at me, recliner. Hahaha!

WD 50.0.0 The lighter nights, crap on the TV, and my unsettled state of mind were all preventing my nodding off! I lay for hours, I even considered counting sheep!

WD 50.0.0 All the tossing about and moving trying to get in a comfortable position to encourage sweet Morpheus to take over my body and mind; must have cracked open Little Inchies fungal lesion! For I felt the warm wet trickle from the lower regions. Again, crying was an option, but anger was a stronger emotion! Why me?

Yet again, I got up, trying to keep calm and not have a tumble or bang into any furniture or door frames, off I poddled, chin-low, bottom lip wobbling and feeling sorry for myself! I got in the wet room and went through the usual dreaded medicationalisationing procedure. The pain didn’t seem so bad this time, that was because the leaf had not had time to harden, I assume. This actually took my Fed-Up-Defcon from2, down top Defcon3! Hehe!

WDP 4RWD 50.0.0 Now, as I was going into the hall, I think I had a bit of good luck! (Yes, it can happen, it did in 1952 as I recall). I caught the right middle toe, stubbed against the bar of the clothes airer – and felt nothing! Obviously, this may be part of the reason that the cleaning and medication of the lesion, was far less painful, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters were obviously not working! And this warned me to take extra care when touching anything solid or hard, and not rely on getting any sensation or feedback! Thus, I was going to make a brew of tea, but I stopped my plans. Who knows for sure, nobody, but it may have stopped me getting scolded!

WDP 20194Of course, it did nothing to help me get to sleep! I carefully made my way back to the imagined grinning at me now, recliner. I put the TV on, and to my greatest pleasure, Red Dwarf was just starting! Then I found out another episode was following. No problem with staying awake tonight. Old seen-before ones, of course, but I so enjoyed watching them.

It must have been around 02:00hrs when I had to get up to use the wee-bucket. Accident-free, I got back in the chair and fell asleep! And had a dream-ridden kip for three-hours or so. Every little help’s! It was well-gone 0500hrs by then.

I can get depressed, you know. Humph!

TTFN folks.

GM07RWD 0.0.128A wd 0.0.128 04:00hrs (The latest getting up time for months): I stirred and waited for the brain to catch me up. Which it failed to do in time apparently. Cause as I began to manipulate my grossly overweight-stomached body from the recliner, ‘Thud-thud’, I ended up on my knees! Fell off of the c1968, rickety recliner, knocking the swivel chair over to the cabinet as I did so. Which sent the nibble pots off of the arm and rolling all over the floor. The knees were stinging, caught my head against the other chair arm as I twisted in a vain effort to stop myself going down, and a few selected naughty words were silently muttered! (I hope they were silent, anyway) I crawled on all fours to gather the nibble-pots, the yoghourt coated cashew nuts thankfully, didn’t burst open! Phew!

I tackled the job of struggling to get back up, in an almost nonchalantly, blasé, laid-back manner, and I was seated back in the recliner again within a minute or two! Yes, I know, it surprised and shook me too!) I stayed there to receive a brain-storm for a few moments. Not the usual self-recrimination, hatred, and confusion this time. I merely accepted the incident, felt thankful that it was not worse, and got the taste for a mug of tea! (Honestly!)

4Thu01When I got in the kitchen, I spotted the moon was out again. But, being so much later than yesterday, it was more distant and further to my left.

I tried my best to get the lights below in the shot I took. I took me about five efforts, this was the only decent one out of them all!

I found a certain degree of, well, almost confidence creeping in this morning as I made the brew. I was singing to myself and whistling in between? I’d coped with the earlier Whoopsiedangleplop and Accifauxpas with no bother. I was feeling upbeat, and this worried me a tad!

My EQ told me that things were going to get hectic. No reasons or outcomes. Just things were going to get frantic, and soon! A shudder went through my body, and I foolishly ignored this warning and carried on singing to myself, as I took the medications, and took the tea with me to the computer. I did feel what must have been close to contentment and relaxed with it! This is not natural for me!

4Thu05My first job was to make up the template for today’s blog, which took a long time. Thanks to Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley and Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters going off and on-line at will. Got it done, and checked online for the virus figures. Not very good.

Then looked at the Emails, and sure enough, an Iceland order was arriving today, twixt 15>1700hrs!

I decided to get the ablutions done next, as with my getting to a semi-live state, so late, it was now gone eight! (No charge for the poetry. Hehe!). I put a long-sleeved t-shirt and pair of socks to soak while I got the shave and stand-up wash. Off to the wet room.

4Thu03WD 0.0.128A As I got in the doorway, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived, it couldn’t have come at a better time! But it was again a start-stop operation.

Which let me have another go at the crossword puzzle solving. I got a few as well!

WD 0.0.128A When things started moving again, just like yesterday, it was ‘Klunk’ and all over and done with. Apart from the cleaning up, of course. No medicating, not with me about to have the stand-up wash and shave. The doing of the teeth, ave just one dropsy, the toothpaste. No cut gums this morning. The shaving was a little more accident-prone, though. Dropsies included: Shaving foam can (2), razors (6), and the after-shave bottle that I was using to stop the (3) cuts bleeding. However, no toe stubbings, and the sock-glide, I laughed at! (I didn’t put any socks on, Hehehe!) Most of the dropsies were caused me Nicodemus’s failing nerve ends.

Medicated the areas in need, olive-oiled the ear holes, Saccades sprayed the eyes, got the Brute and deodorant applied. One blessing here was that Little Inchies fungal lesion had only bled a tiny bit. Ah, nice!

4Thu04But I still felt in a perky mood! I dried off and got dressed, all bar the socks, and went to get the handwashing done, wrung and hung. For some reason, the ones I did yesterday still needed more drying time?

WD 0.0.128A You can see in this photograph, the diamond strengthed leakage from the air-vent, that the Nottingham City Homes maintenance man left me with on the wall years ago now. And it ran down and hardened all over the electrical socket! It still pees me off when I see it every day.

4Thu15I got the black bags sorted, replaced the bags in the waste-baskets (4), and took the full ones to the waste chute.

I spotted the new to me, but it would be, my not having been out for so long, a sign asking for only one person in the lift cage at any time.

When I returned to the apartment, I thought I make another brew, and try to drink it this time. I took another Co-codamol that a mystery resident had so kindly given me, to counter the toothache I felt coming on again.

4Thu10a

4Thu16There are plenty of aircraft/jets out today. How do they keep to social-spacing in them, then?

Back to the computer, I’ll get the thing started eventually, Humph!

WD 0.0.128A ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out again. Looks like my EQ was right, doesn’t it?

It was Riechsfhúreress and Catwalk Model Warden Deana. She was handing out Easter Eggs from the Nottingham City Homes, for everyone. Bless em!

4Thu19dWD 0.0.128A I got back to the computer, and sat a moment, wondering if using it would bring another interruption. Just as the now even more familiar, ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out again. It was caretaker Robert, with a big bottle of milk and a loaf of bread for me! I thanked him muchly for the loaf and explained that I have plenty of milk in at the moment. Slipped him a G & T in thanks.

WD 0.0.128A Back to the computer, I typed maybe five words, and the landline flashed and rang-out! It was a chap, this time from the Ingeus Diabetic course runners. He went through all what the lady did yesterday. Nothing really sank in, the line was that bad and with my hearing, Tsk!

WD 0.0.128A At last, I made a start on this blog. For about five minutes, and the landline flashed again!!! It was the man from Direct Help. I explained that is was a fortnight ago when I spoke with the lady, and things have improved since. As I have got through for an Iceland order delivered since! With the help of Jenny, I have some stuff arriving Sunday, I think, that will hopefully fill the fridge and freezer up. So there is no requirement for help now, there was three weeks ago, but no one called as expected. So, I should be fine for a while. I told him of my five-week wait for the Morrison order, that’s due a week on Sunday! He told me to ring him back in a fortnight if I needed any help with shopping then. I asked him for the telephone number. He seemed surprised that I didn’t have it on my phone. He gave it to me, anyway.

4Thu19EWD 0.0.128A On the computer, once more. And the intercom flashed! It was the Iceland delivery that I can’t remember ordering!

WD 0.0.128A Now, my friendly, warm, upbeat mood was changing.

WD 0.0.128A I got yesterday’s blog sent off, and made yet another attempt as doing this update. Guess what? The landline lit up and sounded again!

It was the cat-walk model and Warden Oberstgruppenfhúreress Deana. She had some questions that needed answering for Nottingham City Homes. I don’t know how the ILC’s (Independent Living Coordinators) are managing with all the extra duties and hassle they have to put up with, Bless em all! I got myself very confused, and being so tired again, things weren’t sinking in, well they were, but not staying in the memory bank!

WD 0.0.128A I got back to the computing, and the dreaded, feared, damp, and warm sensation spreading about in the lower regions was sensed! Botherations and blasticulisations! Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding! So, off to the wet room again, for cleaning and medicationalising.4Thu14

The task was more manageable and less painful than I expected, for it had not dried on, much less hassle! I had a wash afterwards and noticed that the old ankle scar looked like it wanted to return again. (Dangwangling, Dangwangles!)

I gave the hands another really weep clean. So much so, the yare getting all wrinkly again. Tsk!

4Thu13

And, how can I get some more carbolic soap? It was hard enough to get before the lock-down and self-imprisonment! (Gribbledockends!)

I went to make a brew, and I noticed a man and his dog down on the bottom field. It was different, and funny this time!

4Thu19c

The man threw something, a ball I imagine, but this dog was not having it at all! The hound plopped itself down on the grass, with no intention of moving! Hahaha! The chap could not get the animal to move at all. He got his mobile out and made a call. I wondered if he was walking the dog for someone, and calling for advice? A few possible funny scenarios went through my head.

WD 0.0.128A Then, ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out from the door, again. Unbelievable! It was a delivery man, I didn’t see him of course. But there was mail been delivered, and a box on the floor.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The reading of a letter, pretend signed, by Boris, while the poor bloke is suffering in the intensive-care ward, was a strange thing. To me, anyway. Good and bad news from the blood results. Good, in that with it being Bank Holiday, they always leave the next test for longer. This time, it is not until the 21st of April. Which means, my Blood Vampire Angels will not be seen until then! Sob, Ululations, & Woe is me!

Finally, I got this post done as far as here. It only took me fourteen hours, as well. Humph!

At last, I got the Iceland order looked at properly. Their offer of two boxes of Gold corn flakes at £1 off for two, I had apparently taken advantage off. I vaguely recall thinking that if Jenny didn’t want them, she would know of someone who would, Nora perhaps? I gathered the things and bagged them, then called Jenny, to tell her I would drop the bag off at her apartment, in a few minutes. Which I did. It felt odd, after such a long time, to use the lift again, almost scary! Haha! If Jenny does not want anything in the bag at all, it won’t matter, cause I know she’ll soon have some worthy person to give the milk, Cereals etc. to, who deserves a bit of help.

4Thu19gBack up to my flat, didn’t anyone out in the building at all going either way. It felt so eerie, and reminded me of my recurrent dream of being chased and shot at in a crumbling building, by gangs of unpleasant persons.

I took a picture of a panorama shot of the scene 4Thu19foutside.

A man and his dog, sensibly kept their distance from the two young girls in the bottom field, as it looked like they were asking for directions.

I’m feeling weary now, but the toothache is no worse, the coughing has eased, and my mood was getting back to a good one.

Fodder decision time now. I chose to have bacon sarnies. Mainly to use some of the crap, watery, tasteless bacon I’d got! Tsk! I might have a tin of tomatoes with it instead, then use the bread to dunk with. Or something else? Hahaha!

I’ll be back in the morning to finish this blog off, I hope.

I’m back!

4Thu24I ended up making Halloumi cheese sticks and bacon in the same oven tray. I made up bacon sandwiches, caramelised chutney, an apple and some lemon Vienna cakes. And a can of the delightfully tangy Clementine juice.

The halloumi was okay, and the bacon was much better than yesterday’s offering. This is because I took Tim Price’s advice and poured the hickory over the bacon as it cooked, and as a result, it tasted a lot better. Flavour rating: 7/10.

WD 0.0.128A I didn’t even get to do the washing up, I fell asleep with the tray on my knee. I woke hours later, with the tray on the floor and my humungous body half out of the recliner.

I thought about picking up the dish, plate and crumbs… Zzzz!

GM brownRwd 60.25.0 2 00:35hrs: I felt overjoyed, satiated, contented, proud, confident, pleased, and so happy, I thought I was going to burst! Then I woke up! Tsk! The dream I was having is best not gone into in detail. Suffice to say, I was young, in the company of certain young ladies I knew, way back in the 1960s and had got a sweat on! Nuff Said! The disappointment on realising it was not real, was shattering to my confidence and morale!

Soon after my re-emergence into mock-life, the regular summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived. I battled to free my grossly overweight stomach burdened body from the £300, second-hand, c1968, not operational (broke!), sickly-beige-coloured, rickety recliner. Grabbed the four-pronged walking stick, caught my balance, and limped to the wet room. Taking the camera with me, in case the legs had morphed again and needed to be recorded. Hehe!

wd 60.25.0 2 Oh, dearie me! What a different session that was!

2Tue01As per usual it started with my just getting there in time, but things needed some input from me to get moving… “Eurgh! Argh! Oooh! I got things flowing, and it did the stopping again part-way, and needing even more painful pushing to finish it off.

By the time of the final ‘Plop’, I was ready to go back to sleep again and recover from the almost exhausting evacuation! Harold’s Haemorrhoids bled, but far less than of late. Little Inchies fungal lesion had leaked a bit, and I had to go sparingly with the last tube of Care cream. Cleaned up and medicated things.

wd 60.25.0 2 When I got on the computer later, I found this picture I’d taken. Yet I cannot recall taking the camera out of the pocket? Another of the mysteries of 72 Woodthorpe Court, illusions, delusions, hallucinations, infestations, Whoopsiedangleplops, Accifauxpas and manic machinations that thrive here freely, and are so bountiful?

To the kitchen, and I could ‘feel’ Harold’s Haemorrhoids stinging with each hobbled step! Took the medications, made a brew, and felt as if I’d just been ten-rounds with Henry Cooper, instead of just going to the toilet!

WDP 3dRGot on the computer and got the updating finished for the Monday post. And with little hassle from Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters, Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley or Dizzy Dennis! So I got the job done in a reasonable time. Posted it off and sent Emails.

I went to make another brew, and as I considered whether or not to take another Codeine 30g to ease Harold’s Haemorrhoids stinging, I decided to do some handwashing. Only a long-sleeved t-shirt and pair of socks, got the done, wrung and hung. Took the tablet, made the tea and returned to the computer.

I had to make up a template for this blog, so I did. Hehe! Got it started up to here and went on the WordPress Reader. The stomach started kicking and rumbling, oh dearie me! It stayed toying with me for hours!

wd 60.25.0 2 For a while, I don’t know why, but the eroteme would not show when pressed on the keyboard? See, it’s back now! Anyone else had this problem, and can help me, please?

I went on the TFZer Facebooking. A good few hours spent there.

Went on CorelDraw to do some graphics for the templates. Not got long left, then the ablutions will have to be suffered… I mean done! The phlebotomy nurse is due this morning.

2Tue11I make two more waste black-bags up, and took them with the others to the chute and deposited them all down the shaft. No signs of anyone about.

Back to the flat.

2Tue12Well, off to the wet room, to do the ablutions and have another fight with the sock-glide.

Back soon, I hope! I’m back! Ablutionalisationing Report: Dropsies; eight. That’s it! Great! The sock-glide battle was made more accessible, by my putting on some more fuller, shorter socks, that I wouldn’t use if I was going out anywhere. (Cunning!) Apart from the Clopidogrel, in the form of bruises, that was coming back on the pins (legs), all was good! ☑

wd 60.25.0 2 The stomach ache has returned again, but the shakes seem less frequent now.

Made a brew of Glengettie tea, and back on the computer. Jenny rang, bless her cotton socks, to see if I wanted ordinary tomatoes in place of some not available. I said, yes please, and thanked her.

wd 60.25.0 2 Seconds later the phone rang again, it was some con-artist Hustler trying to tell me I had a severe problem with my BT Internet connection. I suggested they go forth and multiply, in those exact words!

Moments later, Sister Jane rang, then while talking to her, I heard a distant sound of what seemed like a mobile phone ringing. But it wasn’t mine, that was on the desk in front of me? I was puzzled and told Jane I’ll check the door in case the tune on the bell had changed itself again. Good job I did too! It was the intercom ringing, the Phlebotomy nurse had arrived. I explained to Jane, said ring back later.

Innit odd, all seemed to come at the same time. With my talking to Jane, I could easily have not heard the intercom and missed the nurse again! The angel of mercy arrived, came in and took my blood. Pleasant gal, she’s been before and was not phased by my impromptu rendition of a dance. A sort of fusion between the Hokey Cokey and the Locomotion, as my right leg burst into a Neuropathic Schuhplattler Waltz! But it was only a short one, and within a minute or so, it was all over. Leaving me with a painfully twisted right patella! Ah, well! Gave her a choice of G&Ts as a thank you.

After she had shot-off on her rounds, I made a brew of Thompsons Punjana tea, and back to the computer to try and get some graphics done again.

wd 60.25.0 2 Sure enough, the mobile chirped into life! It was a message, from Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress and Pole Dancer of Thursday evenings, Warden Deana. Advising us that a mobile shop will be calling at the flats tomorrow (Wednesday) at 12:00hrs, so if we need anything, we can use it. Which is a controversial idea, for me, I mean. Unless he takes credit-cards. I’m low on real money, and can’t work out how to solve the problem. The only thing I can think of is going to an ATM. Which I do not want to do. If I’ve got to isolate… Oh, confusion reigns within my muddled and puddled brain! Which, of course, is usual. Hehehe!

I was getting tired and weary now. But, still had to get some graphics made up. Oh, can call Jane back! I’ll do that now.

I rang and found she was out shopping at the Co-op on Central Avenue. Lots of people were in there, walking hand in hand, women with children running all around. And here’s me, afraid to go to the cash-point to get some money! Jane passed on her thanks to Jenny for her help towards me.

2Tue09The latest UK Coronavirus update looked bleak. There is a larger number in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Oh, dear!

At last, I got on CorelDraw. Didn’t get far, the doorbells chimes rang out. No rest is there? Haha! It was Steve the caretaker. The girls from the Social kitchen had read this blog and sent up a pack of cherry tomatoes for me. I’d not got my hearing aids in, so did not catch the name of the lady, if indeed it was mentioned. Kindness cheered me up, and I sent back my thanks. On the floor were two letters that had been delivered, our caretaker picked them up for me, and removed the prescriptions off of the floor onto the trolley guide tray for me. Thank you!

2Tue13One piece of mail was a load of can-we-sell-you bumph, the other confirmation of my rent being paid at the new increased rate.

So tired, gave up and sorted the nosh. Polish pork knuckle OODate, but still it tasted okay to me. Beans with hickory, and chips in the oven.

2Tue10Also, as well as, I took something of a rarity today; a wee-wee! But it as a good one, of the TTSLTATO (Torrential-Throughout-Stopped-Like-Turning -A-Tap-Off) mode.

I came across a tin of Polish chicken ham in the tea cupboard. I was overjoyed at this find. I had the nouse to check the date on the tin. 15th of December, this year. (I thought at the time!)

2Tue31Finished of this blog up to here, but let the beans burn and chips over-cooked! Humph! But this did not stop the pleasure in the deglutition of the meal. The pork knuckle was so delicious tasting! The beans seasoned just right! The chips were crispy! And the mini-tomatoes, donated by a kind lady resident tomatoes were excellent! The Jenny-supplied apple rounded off a treat of a feast. Flavour-rating: 9.25/10!

wd 60.25.0 2 Contented, but tired, I washed the pots. Unfortunately, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters, cause me to drop the brown milk jug. R.I.P. Tsk! As I cleared up the mess, I pondered on whether I should go to the mobile shop tomorrow. I’ll ask Jen for some advice methinks.

The next hour or so was spent watching some TV, it didn’t matter what was on. Hoping to attain some degree of sleep. I usually fall off to kip when the adverts come on. Which I did, but got woken up four times!

WDP 2awd 60.25.0 2 Just got off, blissfully to sleep, and the landline flashed. It was the Haemostasis, TV (Thread Vein) and DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Warfarin Anticoagulation Clinic at the Nottingham City Hospital. (I love that title!) I had difficulties in hearing what the nurse said, but got the message eventually. She asked many questions about my health and any changes to life-style or eating. I answered as well and honestly as I could. Told her about Haemorrhoid Henry and Little Incies fungal lesion bleeding a lot. I told her I’d not long taken the night doses. She gave me the new doses: Wed, 0 – Thur, 2 – Fri, 2½, Sat 2, Sun, 2, Mon 2 – next blood test on Tuesday. (I’ve written it down hear in case I forget, and I can look back – Cunning eh?)

Back in the £300, second-hand recliner, and nodded off…

WDP 2awd 60.25.0 2 The landline lit and rang again! It was the Doctors surgery with the new Warfarin doses for me. I explained about the Haemostasis, TV (Thread Vein) and DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Warfarin Anticoagulation Clinic at the Nottingham City Hospital (I really do like that title!), had given me the details earlier. She asked me some questions, but I was half-asleep and cannot recall what was asked.

Back in the uncomfortable, £300, second-hand, recliner, and nodded off…

WDP 2awd 60.25.0 2 I was dreaming I think, about being chased by toilet rolls with legs, and the mobile phone flashed and shook! It was a pre-recorded message. I think it was from the Diabetes Health Education ignorant Ingeus scumbags from Birmingham. Not that this matters really, because I couldn’t understand a word of what was being read to me!

Back in the grungy-beige-coloured, none-working, c1968 recliner, and nodded off. Now getting asleep again was becoming a problem. Eventually, I nodded off…

WDP 2a

wd 60.25.0 2 A few minutes later, as I think I was about to nod off, the door chimes rang out their version of Dusty Springfield’s tune, “I only want to be with you”… Oh, dearie me! Will it never end! Still, it showed that someone cares. Hehehe!

WDP 2awd 60.25.0 2 I rose up and out of the £300, second-hand, c1968, recliner, stubbed my toe, knocked the bottle of spring water off of the Ottoman, got some trousers and slippers on, grabbed the stick, and made my way to the door ASAP. I got there, and gingerly open the door ajar; No one there! I presumed whoever it was, had thought I wasn’t in, it took me that long to get to the door! No notes or anything had been left. Had it been Jenny, being the logical person she is, a note of some sort would have been left or posted.

Ah, the Mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court, that lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the spacetime continuum. With illusion, delusion, & hallucination, so rife!

Back inside, and cleared up the mess I’d made escaping from the recliner, trousers off, and the toe Vaselined, and back in the recliner.

wd 60.25.0 2 By then my getting back to sleep was not an option that was available to me. The mind was confused but sedulously active! The Thought-Storming started; Will I ever get some cash to use? Who was it at the door? Who was it sending me a recorded message? Who sent me the tomatoes? Will, I ever wee-wee again? The stubbed toe is stinging! on and on the thoughts pestered me.

Eventually, I got the writing pad and noted down all the interruption to my rest. (Hence the detailed list above)

WDP 10R02Lwd 60.25.0 2 The TV was left on, nothing worth watching, and it reminded me of how late it was getting, gone midnight now! But, I’d lost the TV remote to turn it off in the painful fiasco of getting up and injured, getting to the door.  Grungle-Grumps, Spittling-Splurging-Sparrowhawks, and Knackernuts!

I took some photos of the bruised legs for some reason. I can’t remember why.

I suppose I could say, ♫ Fings ain’t wot they used to be ♫ Humph!

00 Feb 03

00:55hrs: Woke up feeling as if I had no sleep at all, I lay there for ages, uhtceare and heavy eyelids. The need for a wee-wee proved to be my expergefactor. Almost wearily, I forced my heavily-stomached body from the recliner. And was well-pleased when I found that Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun were no longer in attendance. (Oh, yes, I was most approbatory about this!)

I used the untouched-overnight GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket), and I was taken aback by the power of the flow at first, but it faded to a trickle shortly. SFDBFF (Started-Firm-Determined-But-Faded-Fast) style. Then, I was hobbling off to the kitchen, where I took the medications, made a brew and passed wind. It was only a silent tiny phwert, but boy, the pong it left!

wd 60.25.0 2 Feeling much better now, life was returning to the brain, and physically I was doing well. Mmm, apart from the Neurotransmitters failing a few times, I was lucky not to drop the tea-caddy, then the kettle. This is going to be a problem when I start typing on the computer. But no complaints, qualms or expostulations from me. After yesterdays horrendous events, I just appreciated being here, and the absence of so many ‘usual’ ailments. Yee-ha!

2Tue06WD 60.25.0 2A I went to move the tomato-slicer from the tea-brewing area, and soon found how bad Nicodemus-neurotransmitter was today, and the slicer slipped from my grasp. I automatically and foolishly made a grasp for it to stop it hitting the deck. I caught it. The serrated edges of the blades drew blood. A good job I have a stock of plasters in the medical drawer, Tsk! Klutz!

I took two shots of the high in the sky moon. I used the Night Landscape option for them.

2Tue05

2Tue07wd 60.25.0 2 Unfortunately, when the nerve-ends transmitters let me down again, I lost my grip on the camera. Mercifully, I had adopted a habit of always using the hand strap with the photographicalising, and this saved the day and possible damage to the Nikon. Phew!

wd 60.25.0 2 Yet again the nerves failed, when I was putting the lid back on the tea caddy. The result was a scattering of tea bags that was made worse by my failing to catch it properly, knocking it away from me. Which sent Glengettie tea-bags over the floor and between the cooker and cupboard! I fetched good picker-upperer from the front room and attached it to the four-pronged walking stick back to the kitchen. I nearly went head over heels on the way through the door, as I caught my dodgy right knee against the bulky load I was carrying. Dizzy Dennis came into force.

Now I was really getting back to normal! Bleeding, in pain, well-dizzied, pissed-off, and silently offering forth a selection of expletives and traducements, regarding my foul luck and many ailments! Yes, my run of fair-fortunes and luck has ended! Crying was an option at this stage, but my experience of its futility prevented my sobbing or committing suicide. Hehehe! But I was getting a little discouraged with events so far this morning. Yet a feeling of normality blossomed, and amazingly I cast off the shadow, cheered up, made another mug of tea, and got on the computer straight away. Mainly to scribble notes to use later in this diary, while the thoughts were fresh in my mind. Which I did!

Then I got the updating of the Monday post done and posted off.

I’ve had better starts to a day! But hopes linger!

VirFail01bI added some bits to Pinterest, then spend an age on the TFZer Facebooking. But I enjoyed it. Mr Fries Virgin Media started and stayed playing up again. Spitworthy-Splurging-Sparrowhawks! Then went to make another brew of tea, gingerly, carefully and cautiously I might add. (Ha-ha!)

Then went on the WordPress Reader.

Well, I must stop now and get the ablutions done. Iceland delivery (Oh, fear of daft substitutions comes to mind!), then my precious sweet vampire Christina is calling to take my blood later. I put the handwashing in the bowl to soak before doing the cleansing of my ailment-ridden, torturously overburdened-bellied body-mass. Then off for the stand-up, cause it’s too early to make a noise with the shower.

2Tue12WD 60.25.0 2A Well, it didn’t take long before the first cock-up, did it? I got the shaving done first (one nick on the cheek) for a change.

As I stood back from the sink, I caught the four-pronged stick, fell backwards and clouted the side of my head and cheek against the dreaded sock-glide on my way to visit the rather hard floor” The sock-glide is now bent a bit! So are my elbow, knees and confidence, that was caused by the landing, not the glide! Grungle-Grumps!

The legs looked betterer this morning, though, less palish. Just noticed how I put the two photos together, at least I’m hiding the worst bits of my body, Hahaha! The teeth-cleaning went well, only one dropsy; the brush. The flannel once, and the carbolic soap. The refreshing and medicating afterwards; dropped the Haemorrhoid cream tube, olive oil bottle, then the body, spray (twice).

Got dried-off, and dressed, off to get the handwashing done. The Iceland deliveryman cometh. He kindly threw the bags into the kitchen for me, and I sorted out what was what. Or, not! I’m already looking forward to having the braised steak in onion gravy, the taste is fine, the main advantage is they are boil-in-the-bag, less chance of burning when… if, I fall asleep, no sauce to make either, so less washing up to do. Little things like this, mean a lot when you’re disabled and a bald, deaf, hard-of-seeing, overly-flobby-stomached, short, memory-tested, bespectacled, saccades-suffering septuagenarian! I lost the plot there again!

2Tue11

No substitutes! Some expertly squashed sliced wholemeal cobs, that I managed to return to something like their original shape. Some short-date satays, beef slices and pork & pickle pies. Got the canned goods, baked beans and tubers in the farraginous cupboard with the other stuff. To eat the short date products with time, might include me becoming even more overweight. Haha!

If only Christina comes early, I can get out to buy a replacement saucepan and something else, but I can’t remember what it was at the moment. I took some black bags to the waste chute. Then started to work on the graphic making on CorelDraw.

Tap-tap, bang from the electricians. The ‘Hum’ getting even louder. And it looks like Christina will not arrive in time for me get any shopping for saucepans and whatever the other thing is that I need. Most agravannoying!

0 ChristinaPhlebotomy nurse vampire, the super-beautiful and highly desirable Christina arrived, a little earlier than expected. So, I might be able to catch the 10:30hrs bus to go and get some saucepans to replace those I’ve burned! Haha! She took the blood in her usual professional way, no bleeding from the vein, as usual (Oh she is good, and pulchritudinously, alluring, angelic, appealing, beauteous, charming, bewitching, and gorgeously pretty with it). She warned me of the oh, so cold weather outside. If only I was fifty-odd years younger, fitter, had hair, no ailments… Dream on Inchcock! Hahaha! Christina departed, sadly in her usual rush, bless her.

Recycle bags were made up, two large ones, and I got dressed and things ready to go for the bus. I remembered to take the bag of spuds I’d ordered by mistake from Iceland, to give to someone who could use them, it had enough potatoes in it for a meal for ten people!

You should have seen me struggling with the three-wheeled guide trolley and the two massive bags of waste for recycling! Getting out of the lift, I caught one bag against the door frame, dropped it, hit my head on the wall bending to retrieve it, gathered everything and then I saw a bloke waiting to get in the lift – if an expression ever spoke, his did! “What is this old fart messing about at!” He never spoke, he didn’t need to. I got the bags to the caretaker’s room, then on to the Wardens Detention and body-search Office, dropped the potato bag off, and walked to the Winwood Court Social Room and had a go at the crossword book. But the concentration was not good, I think my trying to make u[p my mind where to go for to buy the saucepans was bothering my dithering mind, so I hobbled through to the Winchester Court lobby.

Where I spotted something, I did not expect on the table there. A copy of the Financial Times Money paper!

I went out to the bus stop and took some more photographicalisations of Winwood Heights. I kept walking about to keep warm, gosh, it was nippy out there, and very windy with it!

AS more residents joined me at the shelter, the main topic of discord this morning, was the vehicles blocking the turning circle for the buses and emergency vehicles. I said nowt, but felt the workers had no other choice, as no parking spaces were available for them to use? Difficult situation.

2Tue30Caught the bus with about twelve other tenants, who all got off in Sherwood. I decided in route, to go to Sainsbury’s in Daybrook to look for saucepans and get some nosh in. As I got off of the bus, Dizzy Dennis came on, but not badly, but it slowed me up and did my concentration no good. A few hazy bits in my memory of the visit. I do remember getting a cling-film wrapped set of three saucepans, all ready-made up (handles and lids not loose). Which was glad-making for me. It was the last on the shelves, too! I recall struggling to get around carrying it and coping with the walker-guide and getting things off of the shelves to buy.

WDPT05RI spent £18.60 in total, paid at the self-serve tills. Then, as I was going for the bus home, it dawned on me, I had not got the saucepans! I stopped near the exit doors and checked the receipt… no, I hadn’t paid for them anyway!  What I had done with them remains a mystery. Did I leave them somewhere in the shop, or at the checkout? Ay-yay-yay! What an Eizel!

I caught the bus back to the flats. No doubt about it, Arthur Itis is going to start giving me trouble again. The occasional short sharp stabbing pains behind the knees, not often, were the clues and signs.

Back at Winwood Heights, I made my way to Winwood Court and through the link passage. I thought I was doing well, Chrissie and Betty overtook me, then, further along, two other ladies overtook me. Leaving me in their wake, so’s to speak. Hehehe! All four of them, pleasant ladies.

1Mon18b

2Tue28Over the next few hours, I took these pictures on the right of the page, of the sky from the unwanted, unneeded, unpopular, light and view-blocking, unable to get at to clean, photographers nightmare kitchen window.

Arthur Itis reminded me of what’s to come a few times.

I took the medications straight away so as not to forget. The thermometer is still not working properly. It just shows High or Low, no actual temperature levels at all? Puzzling that, it used to show details every time, but no longer! I suppose that I have pressed or set it up wrong during one of my dreaded and feared, confusing ‘Out-of-it’ spells? This thought got me pondering: If I snuff it during a ‘Blank’ spell, will I die not knowing I’d kicked-the-bucket? Would that be better than knowing at the time? Does it matter? Hehehe!

2Tue27The things that sometimes permeate through and hassle my brain; I don’t mean the usual brain-storms, but these odd moments of pointless reflections, can be entertaining, but not until after they’ve been tackled or considered.

I got the kettle on, and stuff purchased put away. A cheap and a pricey washing-up liquid, distilled vinegar, baked beans, onion chutney, chilli-con-carne, Fancy flavoured Tuna for Josie’s meal next Sunday, orang biscuits, Viennese blondes, smoked almonds, Five-beans in tomato sauce, Mackerel for Josie, a bar of Galaxy chocolate, Lemon curd tarts, Milk Roll loaf, vine tomatoes, and a pack of two Italian brown Primora tomatoes. These tomatoes were not very large, but still £2 for two! I just hope they are as tasty as the ones I got last week from Ocado. Sainsbury is part of Ocado anyway, along with Waitrose.

I found this little snippet of information on Wednesday morning:

BBC News Feb 2020. Marks & Spencer and Ocado have confirmed a deal which will give the High Street retailer a home delivery service for the first time. M&S will buy a 50% share of Ocado’s retail business for £750m. The joint venture will be called Ocado and will deliver M&S grocery products from September 2020 at the latest, when Ocado’s deal with Waitrose expires. Under the deal, Ocado will also continue to supply its own-label products and big-name branded goods.

Which pleases me a lot. I cannot get to M&S in Nottingham easily. There are escalators to get down to the basement food store, which prior to the stroke, were of no problem for me. But now I have to use the elevator, which means so much more hobbling with the walker-guide to get there, and again to get out again with a full trolley.

2Tue26The nosh was prepared and served up. Chicken and vine tomato Dagwood-Style sarnies, new potatoes, mushrooms, garden peas and beetroot. A lemon curd yoghourt and drink of orange cordial flavoured spring water for afters. I ate the whole lot of it! Not a scrap left on the plate!

Got the washing up done, thought about doing the handwashing, but chickened out. Then got my head down early even for me, but I was so weary. Sweet Morpheous came within minutes, ah, bliss! My worries and fears stop when I sleep… unless the nightmares start of course.

The banging on the door and ringing of the chimes woke me up! Growls of Grumpworthiness! I somehow got out of the recliner and to the door, with the brain caching me up. I was still drained and so confused. Josie was there and a big bloke with a clipboard. Then I found myself with Josie’s tray and cutlery on it, from last Sunday’s meal I’d cooked for her… then in the flat with the ID tag missing man, 6’2″, stocky, dark brown hair. I asked him (I think), Why he was checking in Water usage? He replied, ‘We want to know who has baths or showers fitted…’, but he still didn’t tell me who or where he was from! (These details I found on the scribble pad in the morning).

I was so pissed-off at being woken up, it doesn’t matter that people would not expect anyone to be sleeping so early; my rest was knackered! And getting back to sleep took me ages! Amidst swearing and spitting out words of hatred at being disturbed again!

What an odd day! A day of changeable, poignant, fragmentary, haphazard, mental bocks, absent-mindedness and confusion, and Grumpworthiness!

WDP 003hWD 180.50.0 02:20hrs: As I came back to artificial life, from my nightmare filled sleep, I could clearly hear what I thought was a steam press. Somehow I thought I was still out of it and dreaming, cause the dream was about me being stuck in a giant steam press, with people fighting over who should activate the controls? But it soon became apparent that the noise was the World of Science baffling, ‘Hum’!

I rose out the £300, second-hand, c1968, biliously-beige-coloured recliner. I hauled my pharaonically flobby-body onto its tiny by comparison, feet, caught my balance, grabbed the stick, and wobbled off to the kitchen. Arthur Itis and Anne Gyner were just not bothering me at the least?  Was I actually awake or still dreaming?

WDPH01L41Mon01WD 180.50.0 I took a photo of the blue sky. I soon found out when I all but let the kettle slip put of my hands as I went to fill it, Nancy’s neurotransmitters on the right-side were failing again. Not surprising really, cause they medics have told me they can do nothing about it. But the real reason I knew I was awake was when I stubbed my toe against the sink cupboard as I retrieved the kettle and got cold water down my dressing gown, jammies, belly, privates, legs, and feet! Ah, my run-of-the-mill, unostentatious unlucky-status seems to have returned! Just as well, cause my recent patchy run of decent luck, was alarming me a bit, I’m not used to it! To the wet room, and dried myself off and changed trews.

WDP 003l4Thu02WD 180.50.0 Then as I made a brew of Glengettie tea, it was then time for Shaking-Shoulder-Shawn to kick-off.

They came on without any warning twinges this time. I was all het-up about making the mess and having to change togs, though.

1Mon02I got the medications sorted, and returned to the main room and got the computer going. The tea had gone cold, so I went to make another, and decided to open the window again, to take a picture of the housing on view outside. Many lights were on in the dwelling, that caught me out for a second. I didn’t realise the time had flown so fast. I went back to the front room, forgetting to make a mug of tea!

WDP 2019B01VirFail01aWD 180.50.0 I made a start first on finishing off a graphic I started yesterday on CorelDraw, then began the updating of the Sun day block – Oh dear! What with Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters and the persistent Shaking-Shoulder- Shawn, and now Mr Fries, what is it he calls it? ‘Virgin’s Superfast Broadband?’, things were not going well at all! But then, I should be used to it by now!

WDP Dec 26b1Mon05WD 180.50.0 Hours later, I got it finished off and went to make a brew. It was getting lighter now. But I got sidetracked my an instant demand for the Porcelain Throne to be utilised, so off to the wet room, I trudged. By gum, my usual ailments and accidents are rife. I’m confident they have returned today, after 2½ days of near-normal luck! The evacuation was solid, painful, and bloody. Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding as well!

1Mon06But no more toe-stubbing at least! It’s been that long since I needed them, I had to think which of the tubes and tubs were for what ailment. Hahaha! The legs were looking somewhat paler than for a long time, but the Clopodogrel lumps and blotches were still absent, so my full-rate of bad luck hasn’t all come back yet. I had a wash-up and wiped the contact points with the antiseptic.

Visited the WordPress Reader section, TFZer Facebook page, Pinterest, and did the comments reading, well the comment. Hehe!

1Mon05aWDP 10R01LWD 180.50.0 Then I made the brew of Thompsons tea, and back on the computer. Many repeated ‘Failed to save’ signs continued to pester me! But, it’s all part of my returning back to the regular bad-luck-in-life, I suppose. Tsk!

I worked a few more hours on this blog and decided to have a go at making another brew and have some brekkers. That was the plan anyway. Things did work out as expected, though.

WDP 13LWD 180.50.0 I had a double-whammy of ailments come on together. Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun to start with. The worst ever bout I’ve had. I just stood there with one hand on the stick, the other on the side of the sink. Must have been there for twenty-minutes like that. Too scared to move for fear of toppling over, and then Saccades Sandra joined it as well, the room was spinning.

WD 180.50.0 Should I press the wristlet alarm? I lost focus, virtually unbalanced, with very little sight. Overall it was a good half-hour before things cleared. In the past, these Dennis Dizzies and Sandra have only ever lasted for a few minutes at most. But, amazingly, they departed suddenly, within two minutes or so, and I found myself making a brew? Feeling so pleased they had stopped, everything returned to normal, sight back, no problems? This is worth mentioning to the Doctor, I think, all the same. I’ll email for an appointment later on, I reckon.

WDP 003bWD 180.50.0 Then, as I was hobbling back with the mug of tea, I had an involuntary right-leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler Dance routine. It was all over within a minute, no falling, no hitting into or knocking anything over. Not even any spilling of the mug of tea, I got it down on the book cabinet as it started performing. I’ve had a lot of worse sessions. But I still needed to sit down for a minute or two. But was soon back up at the computer, updating this blog.

Fatima Fatigue fell upon me, big-time.

1Mon06aI got the nosh prepped. I’ve still not fully returned to my usual vacuous, yet tortured unrelenting state of mind. It feels all odd not fretting and panicking about anything. The return of Whoopsiedangleplopalising seems to have helped, in a distorted sort of way.

The meal, a 7.9/10 for flavour and taste, went down well. I put the things in the bowl to soak, and got settled in the recliner… but sleep was not interested in coming, despite how tired I was. Humph! Inchyangulations!

01:00hrs: Woke, with memories of a dream I’d had floating about in the grey-cells. But they soon left, and all I knew was, the nocturnal mind-wanderings were of a likeable nature, but not the foggiest of any details, remained. Tsk!

Moments later, summoning from the inwards, advised me to hasten to the Porcelain Throne. So, I did. Which proved to be and up and down visitation. The evacuation went well enough, not too painful or messy, but it took a while and some effort.

WD 0.0.30 W During this, I had a go at the crossword book. And dropped it when the neurotransmitters failed in the finger-ends. I used the picker-upper to retrieve the book. I creased the pages in doing so. When I got it in my hand, a page with some of my scribble on it was on top. I’d written something about my xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete; I think I wrote it when I was in the Acorn home, recovering from the stroke, so out of interest, I read it. It related to Pete visiting me there. And suddenly it dawned… I’d missed his birthday! Well, I can expect him to raid the flat again now! Hehe! He might even arm one of his drones and send it over! I must apologise to the lad. Sorry, Pete, me old mate, catch you later, I hope, Sir. I do feel a right schlemiel! I blame my doing that housework yesterday. (Red-face and shame growing!)

I took a rinse and wiped the contact surfaces, and off to the kitchen to make a brew. I took the medications.

Virfail02aWD 0.0.30 W Then got on with updating the Thursday blog.

But it was a nightmare with the amazingly crap service provided by the Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet, making things take several times longer than it should have. And yet yesterday, it was reasonably decent? In fact, it was to start with for the first fifteen minutes?

Virgin (4b)

WD 0.0.30 W After about half-an-hour at it, the wee-weeing started, and it’s not stopped yet! Each and everyone was of the SSPAOQ (Short-Sharp-Painless-All-Over-Quickly) variety. But most frequent. I reckon that I must have dished the beta-blocker, in error for the Furesomide tablet! Thank you, Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA, for letting me down and failing to remove the Furesomide from the blister-packs in my prescriptions, as Nurse Leoni had asked you to do, and you said you would, but didn’t! She asked you again last week, and another prospectively worthless promise was received that you would on the next allocation. I hope you do get it right this time, bearing in mind you are classed amongst the top three Chemists in Nottingham by the Yell.co company. It’s only after talking with other old folks in the flats where I live about the problem that many have told me of their complaints about Boots, Llyods, and the Late Night Chemists in Sherwood. You all seem unreliable. So, how come you are in the top three? You used to be so caring, efficient, and reliable, too. Shame, a shame I can’t leave and use another pharmacist. And Boots and Lloyds are about to charge £10 per delivery.

I really went off the plot there, didn’t I? Sorry, but the annoyance of Mr Fries Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet, and the suffering that Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA have put me through, gets to me sometimes, mainly when they both cause problems for me at the same time!

Now, my Grammarly keeps changing to US English, and I am so pissed-off!

As I gave up on the web and closed everything down, the landline rang out. It was Sister Jane to tell me I had forgotten Pete’s birthday. Oh, dear! ‘Trouble ‘t Mill!” I didn’t mention that I forgot my own last year! After all the help, the lad’s given me over the stroke, too. Oh, ecky thump!

5Fri05I got the ablutions sorted out. The legs looked mighty fine! Dropsies that I can remember; Shaving Razors (4) Shaving cream. Teeth; toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash bottle. Showering: Showerhead, soap (3), sponge, and back-brush. Then another toe-stubbing against seat raiser. The sock-glide battle; that I had been mastering of late. Left me with a piece of the nail removed on the thumb, and a bruise on the knuckles. Also, I clouted my elbow on the sink edge, getting my trousers on! Now that’s more like me!

I felt almost happy about it! Sad, I know, but that happens to be how I think, good luck is unusual but pleasant. However, not as reliable or frequent as a good dose of my injurious calamities and failures are!

5Fri04I tended to the handwashing next. A few bits needed doing, and I made a right mess of the kitchen in doing so. I was a smidge irked by having to clean the flipping floor again after doing it yesterday. A few quiet mutterings of a curseful nature were uttered. But overall, I remained in a decent enough mood with myself and the world.

WD 0.0.30Bacci When I’d got the clothes done, rung and hung, then the beep-beep hook on the coathanger with the jammie-bottoms hanging on it suddenly detached itself! And again water found its way onto the floor I’d just cleaned again! More foul language was silently-voiced, with one word coming out aloud, beginning with F!

I took a snap of 5Fri03the view from the unwanted, unliked, light & view-blocking new kitchen windows. It looked like some rain is on the way. Pretty in a way, though. No, that’s not the word to describe it! More like, erm… I don’t know now, the name just departed my brain and off into the ether? Humph!

I got dressed and all ready for a bus ride to Sherwood. After double, treble checking things, especially the potatoes in the new small cooker, lights taps, etc. I departed. I rang Josie’s bell on the way out, but no answer.

5Fri06Down and along the link-passage to the ILC’s (Independent Living Coordinators), Wardens to us, Holding Cell office. A quick nip in and handed the nibbles out. All done in thirty-seconds, and off into the Winwood Court Social Lounge. Only one person in there, a Nottingham City Homes agent. There was a lot of them arrived today. Including the Nottingham City Homes Generalfeldmarschalless Housing Patch Manager/Catwalk Model, Angela Gould.

I got the crosswording tackled for fifteen minutes or so, did well today. Then forced the reluctant Arthur Itis’s knees to let me stand up again, and off to the Winchester Court foyer. Had a natter with Margaret, Mary, and some other tenants, then, out to the bus stop.

Got the L9 down to Mansfield Road, took a photo to the right, then the left.

5Fri017

I limped down to the left, to the Azam store, the one with the lime window shades, to search for some fruit and veg. But, oh, what a selection of old food at top prices they had on offer! I turned around and back up the hill and tried the Co-op shop. They had some 5Fri09Cox’s apples, not cheap, but they looked okay, a bag of small potatoes, a wholemeal bread thins, and some mushrooms.

I paid at the self-serve tills without any problems. Then out and crossed over at the traffic light, to go to Abdul’s shop with the Post 5Fri11Office in it, to get some Puff Pastry fingers.

The shop that was a Bingo and entertainment establishment had been graffitied. But not by good skilfull ones.

5Fri10As I took this photo, a young Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist came by, and gave the evil eye and said something, but I could not hear what it was he said. Then casually plodded on up the hill, with his hands in his pockets, not on the handlebars.

I5Fri12 got to Abdul’s and got a packet of the fingers and a pack of jam tarts, £1 each. I met Welsh William at the check out ahead of me. He held the door open for me as I followed him out. We had a chat on my way to the bus stop, and he diverted into the bookies. That’s William in the light blue jacket shooting off for a flutter on the gee-gees, I imagine.

5Fri13I carried on to the bus shelter, just as the rain came down heavier. Good timing! Some tenants of the flats, unknown to me by name and I had a chinwag for a while, as the bus came a little late today. But it wasn’t cold with it like it has been these last couple of days. The rain seems to have scattered the local populace.

5Fri14Back at the flats, I was off the bus last as usual, to avoid banging into anyone or getting hit about. One of them waited to hold the door open for me, bless the gentleman! I did my best to catch up with them for a natter, but they were already at the end of the passage near the swipe door, by the time I entered the corridor. William was leading the charge.

5Fri15I got the few things purchased put away and began to formulate what to have for today’s nosh with the new potatoes. Which incidentally were ready to go now, in the crock-pot. So I moved them in with the garden peas in the saucepan.

Then, I got the computer on and downloaded the photos to Coreldraw for resising. Then, with a certain nervousness, I restarted the Libert-Global internet and made a mug of tea, while I waited to restart hopefully.

It was just the same as before, no change. It seems to be cutting out every few minutes, but only for a few seconds, then coming back on? But, it seems, only on WordPress this time? Unless its just the timing?

I went on Facebook to test that out on the TFZers page. Got loads of photos on. But some moving pictures set Saccades-Sandra off, and now the Dizzies are back. So I’ll get the nosh made and settle down to try and rest a while.

Head cleared now, and I nodded-off (beyond my usual head-down time now) for a few minutes, I woke and went to sort the meal out.

5Fri27WD 0.0.30 W Oh, flippin’ ‘eck! The potatoes were slightly burnt! The leeks had disappeared altogether! Thank heavens I warmed the garden peas in another pan! The saucepan had to be put down. I said a few words over it as I washed it and put it in its final resting place, the rubbish bag. A sad event, cause this saucepan had lasted longer than any other in the depths of the Whoopsiedangleplops, and the cursed Accifauxpas mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court kitchen. That lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the universal continuum, illusion, delusion, & hallucination! It was a veteran; it lasted the course without any damage for four months! Frogglemoths! I managed to clean the lid and kept it, in memory of the devoted pans loyalty, he’s not had an easy life, something I could empathise with.

5Fri30However, I still ate the potatoes, not the black bits, mind. The feast was enjoyed, with a tinge of sadness for the saucepan. Hehehe!

Pork & mushroom pate, the lucky-not-go-the-same-way as the potatoes garden peas, an apple, a black tomato, beetroot, and the well-tasty potatoes! Lemon curd yoghourt for afters, with a bottle of fresh orange juice. A flavour-rating of 7/10.

Then, I went to get the pots washed. I returned to the junk room mark 2, got settled in the £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, yucky-grungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner.

I got the TV on and noted that channel 81 on Freeview, a film, Crooks in Cloister was about to start. It rang a distant bell in my mind, so I decided to watch it… I nodded-off into slumberland as it was beginning. Not only that, but I slept for about 5½ hours uninterrupted!

01:15hrs: I woke up, feeling so tired still, why, I know not. But there you go! I got my cumbersome short-plump, wobbly body up, caught my balance, and without to much bother, as well! The absence of Dizzy Dennis almost made me give out a “Yee-Haa!” No wee-wee, no Porcelain Throne needs either!

Off to the kitchen, where I got the kettle on. The innards began to suddenly and importunately rumble and grumble. I hastened to the wet room and got seated on the Porcelain Throne. It was a reluctant evacuation, but nae bother, the crossword book was utilised, the pain was of a minimum, and it was not messy. Mmm, disconcerting!

4Thu02Not only, but as well as and besides them, the pins (legs) were looking even better. On the verge of normalisticalistion! Well, apart from what I think might be one of the coming and going blotches, due to the Clopidogrel Clive. Even, Varicose-Veins-Victor had calmed down! I think I’ll upgrade my previous exclamation from disconcerting to worrying!

WDPright05aHad I woken up in another world? I clambered out of the £300, second-hand, c1968 recliner so easily! No dizzies, an almost routine Throne visit? Plus, Duodenal Donald and Anne Gyna were giving me no hassle at all. Little-Inchies Fungal Lesion and Harolds Haemorrhoids were not bleeding! Worrying, in a way! Most incomprehensible! But, let’s give them time.

4Thu02bI put some leeks and mushrooms in the small crock-pot, seasoned with onion salt. Then made another mug of tea, and belatedly took the medications.

I got on the computer to update the diary, for I knew it was going to be a long haul, with my going out yesterday and the bank meeting to add. Going to be another long one, but I hope interesting for once.

WD Indigo Then… Eurgh!

Virg indigo

The going with the updating was riddled with contretemps, ever correcting. It took hours before the internet settled into its usual slow-mode status. That, I could live with.

4Thu02aWD Indigo After a couple of hours, I went to check on the potatoes and leeks that were in the new cooker. The lid was rattling with the pressure, so I turned it down to the low setting. I  poked a potato with a plastic fork, and it burst open! Blimey, that cooked quick! So I took out the spuds and used them for nibbles during the morning. I think with them being very tiny in size, is the cause of this contretemps?

Mr Fries internet was getting more reliable. But for God sakes don’t let him know, the price will go up again!

07:26hrs: 7.5 hours after starting, I finally got the post finished. Fed-up? Me!

I emailed the link. Then went on Pinterest and posted some pictures. Then onto the WordPress reader. Next, the TFZer Facebooking.

WD Indigo At 0945hrs, I started this blog off.

4Thu03WD Indigo I kept checking on the crock-pot, there were not many leeks left, most had turned to liquid! Humph! A right mess from the slow-cooker fiasco in the kitchen needed sorting out. Oh dearie me, yes! Decision time again! I didn’t want to turn off the computer and go off itself again. But I wanted to clear the mess up. But I had to get the ablutions done first, so I looked semi-respectable if I met anyone. The black bags needed sorting and getting rid off. The kitchen floor needed a good mopping up. So much to get done… but excuses, I can’t see myself feeling as fit as this again. The head was spinning a bit now, with unbelievability.

So, I closed all the programs apart from the internet itself. WordPress, Coreldraw, Hippo, and Word. And put the machine in sleep mode. Then got the ablutions done, I need the Porcelain Throne again anyway. The ablutionalisationing session went well. Any more good luck, and I may have another stroke or heart attack, this is all unnatural). Fair enough, the dropsies were frequent, there was no bleeding, dizzies, toe-stubbing, or knocking over anything. The sock-glide battle as an injury-less draw. There were a few mini-knicks when shaving, though. To be expected.

Got the togs to wear ready, and visited the wet room. I should be back in a few hours, providing I don’t do anything silly, like sit down and fall asleep (which is already tempting me, so as I can avoid the cleaning and mopping up. Haha!), or snuff-it. TTFN.

4Thu16(Well, I didn’t make it back until I woke up Friday at 01:00hrs. Humph!)

Having been refreshed,

I got myself dressed.

Work needed doing, there’s no rest,

Sorted the filled box’s, tied em with string,

Sweep the kitchen the next thing,

Then mopping to do, Arthur Itis started to sting,

Left it, for now, good thinking!

So, I stacked the box’s, on the trolley thing,

Out to the lobby, the lift did arrive and ping,

I got into the cage, no box’s tipping,

To the lobby, and to the caretaker’s den,

I wouldn’t like to have to do this again!

Robert, (or is it Steven? Oh, the brain!) helped me unload the things and we had a little natter. I told him of my crock-pot disasters, and he told me of some he’s had. Nice to talk!

4Thu10Back up to the flat, and tackled the mopping up of the filthy kitchen floor. I had to change the water in the bucket twice!

I clouted my ankle a few times, and at one point, all the signs of the peripheral neuropathy right-leg were building up for a Neuropathic Schuhplattler Dance showed. The almost intangible tremors around the right knee and the hip shakes are usually reliable indicators. But not this time, thankfully. Which with me mopping, a dance now, could have been dangerous. Another spot of good luck for me. This out of the ordinary, idiosyncratic run of uncustomarily good fortune, to be honest, scares the living daylights out of me. It’s just doesn’t happen to me?

But the floor didn’t look bad after I’d got it done. It was worth annoying Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna a bit. (Liar!)

4Thu10aWhile the floor dried, I went down to the Hauptsturmfuhreresses Holding Cell and Office, with the last of the Easter treats. They were busy, and my EQ told me I was annoying them. But, pole-dancer and Warden Deana, did pose for me to take a snap of her. I thought she looked just like my Sister Jane did, fifty years ago! A quick natter and I returned to the flat.

ChemistI went outside on Chestnut Walk, back to the flat, so I could take some photographs of the buildings. Not received any for a while now, with all those days being stuck indoors over the month. Thanks mainly to Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA, for being late with my prescriptions and leaving me without painkillers and beta-blockers for five, no, six days! Just thought I’d mention it! I wonder if the next months will arrive on time? The Medicine Management lady, Leoni, who I complained to, told me to ring them when I get to my last weeks blister-pack and remind them. Very helpful, professional and useful! Especially as she knows I am almost deaf! I wandered-off the plot there, sorry.

As I ambled along in the cold sunshine, I took these pictures along the way.

I got back to the apartment and remembered to take the original crock-pot to the waste-chute room, as told to by Stephen (or Robert?) earlier, for him to kindly collect and dispose of for me.

Weariness and fatigue dawned early again. I locked the flat door for once so that I would not be disturbed by anyone coming in, for I felt the need for sleep to be needed, more than usual.

4Thu15I got the meal prepared and served up. Those wicked, unhealthy Frikadellens, done it the oven, and caramelised onion chutney slathered liberally on top of them (Evil-chuckle), garden peas, much-overcooked but still tasty leeks, a sliced black Natoori tomato, and four mushrooms done with balsamic vinegar, and a few mini new potatoes. With a luxurious lemon-curd yoghourt for afters, with a bottle of fresh orange juice! Bu gum, I relished that! Flavour rating of 9/10 given! But, I must resist the temptation to have Frikadellens again for a few months, cause despite the fantastic taste, they are really not healthy at all!

I got the pots washed, thought about doing the handwashing, but didn’t, and got my head down, turning the telly on. I had one programme I wanted to watch, then I could nod-off.

WD Indigo But while watching the alien documentary, I sensed a flashing light coming from the hallway? I whipped off the headphones, and could hear a squeaking, whiny noise?

2020 Jan 30WD Indigo WDa Indigo As I fought my way out of the £300 second-hand, c1968 recliner, and made way,  hobblingly and hanging onto the walking stick, to the hall. I still managed to give myself a sickeningly-sharp toe-stubbing against the Ottoman! I found the smoke alarm going off on the kitchen ceiling. There was a recorded message, that was the squeaking, whiny noise I heard I assumed. It repeated a few time before stopping. I caught a few words of the recording, ‘No action is needed’, I hope. So, I reckon it was an alarm test. Indeed, no smoke or fire around anyway.

I got back to the recliner, limping a little more painfully now the middle toe had had another bashing from the stubbing!

This palaver made getting to sleep again, harder. Humph!
