INCHY: Friday 1st September 2023 – Scaevity Continues!

Many problems in getting everyday things done. They were affected by things genitourinary, with the genitourinary problems. The flow kept changing and needing attention, emptying and checking every few minutes!  The hot water went cold again – I think the maintenance was working on the system, as a lot of noise could be heard throughout the day from above, which stopped around 16:00hrs. So, no wash and shave again. I dare not risk carrying hot water about with my eyes so bad, and of course, there is always the threat of an attack by an ailment? , , , , or even a chance of bleeding, which could mean a hasty rush to the wet room with the possibility of another tumble or trip. I have to admit to being a little nervous; the views from the left eye keep changing into a sort of blurred kaleidoscope-like vision. Often giving me the impression that someone is in the room with me.

But the Surgeon did warn me of this, but it’s a disturbing facet. No doubt the reason this left eye cataract procedure is more painful & bothersome, is that the right eye had one cataract, but this little monkey had three! One Cortical and two Nuclear. Wondered why they gave them this name? Hehe!Saw the funny side of this!

Phone calls from the Anticoagulation DVT Unit, the Doctors Surgery, with the results of INR Warfarin Test at the Hospital yesterday; and a change in Warfarin dosage. Also reminded me that I had not booked in for a flu jab yet!  Which I attached to the Carers book cover. He wanted me to call at the surgery, for a fact-updating visit? After I explained my problems with getting to the surgery, he said that the nurse would call me on Monday or Tuesday next week. Forgot which!

The most welcome call from Nurse Hristina, from the DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Anticoagulation unit at the Queens Medical Centre, and pictures of her face as she told me she would be calling on Monday or Tuesday next week to take more blood samples. Gawd she’s such a caring beauty! ♥. Damn, my being born too late! Hahaha!

There were a few occasionally throughout this Friday’s happenings. I missed the mug altogether when putting the water in the tea mug. Lucky, though, only a mess to clear up. Somehow, the hot water missed landing on my bare feet altogether. Yes, nothing short of a miracle that one! The nasty one was going into the wet room, the eye misjudged the distance from the door frame, and I now have a little swelling behind the left earhole where I earhole-butted the door. This also caused more pain in the affected eye. Aye, it’s not all good luck. Tsk! Later on, I missed the computer desk altogether with a bottle of spring water! That was another semi-harrowing and annoying event. This bottle landed right on my At least it didn’t burst open! I did however manage to add another of my to the list; when I got down to pick up the bottle, getting back up, I , and that made me smart a bit, just after it had been assaulted by the bottle. Then… I realised that , forced me into the wet room. Forgetting that I needn’t have bothered, because I’m now completely out of any of the Daktacort ointment… as I am of Germoloids and Olive Oil for the ear-holes! Things were not going very well! Of course, being the confident, Glass-Half-Full, cheerful nature that I am, this didn’t bother me at all… I laughed it off! Within an hour of starting the blogging, I realised I would be in difficulty; the eye strain was bad enough. But the flipping drops need doing four times a day, which means taking off the eye patch and mass of taping that held it in place for the drops, then starting again to get the thing in a position so I could use the good eye for computing, without putting pressure on the pad. This didn’t work out very well at all. The pad slipped repeatedly, and I spent ages getting them back on, only for a carer to come and take it off, to apply the drops. They couldn’t help me with replacing the patch and glasses, cause of the danger of them catching my eye. Understandable!
The sudden being overcome by weariness and tiredness came even soon
er today. I made an early meal, ate it and drifted off.
Woken by the teatime caller. Left the eye patch off after that, too weary to bother, as all I planned to do was sleep. Which lasted for three hours. The Carer returned a little early, not that it matters, woke me up and put the in the eye, Painkillers were issued, and the was attached to the day bag on
Then, at last, I could get some sleep without fear of being woken up… But, No! Of course not! I should’ve known this… Within seconds of dropping off into the bliss of sleep… then, the started! These ideas, thoughts and self-accusations even caught me out… Some were from 72 years ago! I’d totally forgotten about many of the waves of shame, embarrassment and mistakes I’d made, but, they were recalled by , he was in right getting-at-me mood tonight! So many things I’d sooner have regurgitated, flowed into my mind, many unfathomable and or confusing. Along with those from so long ago… Guilt Mode Engaged!

Photos & recollections, didn’t do too many, not up to much

04:20hrs: The night pouch was released. A bit darker today!

Kitchen to get the kettle on. Dank-looking morning view of the bottom field, across from the flats

But they took some moving in the first place…
I even did some cross-wording before things plopped out!

Back to make the brew, and got on the computer. Not that I could see much, and things took aeons to get done.

Mystery photo, here?

Gave up computing after doing the introduction. My vision was not good, and my concentration was even worse I think. Sat down with my feet up
Just about settled enough to get some sleep, and Carer Chris arrived.
Took his BP, excellent results. SYS114, DIA67 Pulse78 & Temp 37.8c. Showed up on the NHS result as ‘IDEAL’. Good for Chris! Me? Jealous? No!

After Chris had gone, I went back on the computer again.
As I got up, I noted the legs were better looking… I think.
Love those white tootsies! Hehehe!

Early nosh sorted out. Franks, tomatoes with added basil and sea salt. The last two bread rolls, Panini, I think they were called. Loads of air bubbles inside? Taste: 7/10.

Had to give up again on the computer; the tiredness and weariness came on early again, just as yesterday.

Soon nodded off, and a heck of a nightmare; that seemed to last a lifetime was experienced. It made no sense; one moment I was climbing up a steep hill, then falling and sliding down a hill of shingle… into a canal and as I was drowning, I found myself in an underground cave, with weird creatures chasing me all over the place, making giggling noises. They were only very little and skinny, but I was afraid of them? Then the whole scenario started again, the same them but a different canal. The next time it played in my brain, the little people were ginormous… a subtle change every time it replayed.
Can’t remember how many times I went through it. But there seemed to be no end to the storyline. It just seemed to restart the reel in my head, with subtle changes to each earlier episode I dreamed of. All without any outcome to the tales of woe. Does anyone have any ideas or input, please? Am I going bonkers? Or, should say, bonkerser?

Carer Chris arrived for his last call of the day, waking me up. Fitted the night bag, painkillers given, and eye drops done. I did the lotioning. We had a little natter, that I didn’t follow very well… not that it mattered, he was Facebook on his phone. Hahaha!

I soon nodded of again, hoping the repeat dream would return… I wish it had now; kicked off, and really ruined any chance of a good kip.

I found this photo pm the SD card. I must have missed this one off, too, from yesterday, methinks.
From last night’s ‘Heartbeat’ methinks?

Some more photos to go on tomorrow, eyes and Peripheral Neuropathy Pete, permitting. It’s nearly midnight now, better get this posted.

Have a great day!

THANK YOU
I’d spent the best part of the night working away trying to catch up with yesterday’s WordPress blog. Eventually, I got it finished this morning around 07:30hrs. Then made last night’s meal, Hehe!
I may have nodded off while eating it a few times. I later found some potato cubes in the dressing gown pocket, in my belly folds, and on the £300 second-hand shop purchased, c1966, welt-causing, uncomfortable, not-working, itch-inspirational, crumb-containing recliner cushion. I put the tray on the Carers table; I recall getting one of them ; the next thing, I was waking, having a renewal of consciousness, rejuvenescence, from my preciously short kip of about an hour – in the usual fashion.  shuddering, flapping, threshing about and blurry-eyed.

Kitchen morning view on rising.
Newly spotted legs.
Mullti-coloured feet and toes?
and
Swelling up again.

First of the two brews allowed… Nice!

.
Went to turn the computer on, and found that I’d not turned it off!
However, for the first time in months, the internet was working frost time! But not for long, about eight minutes…
Got the Tuesday blog finalised and sent off.

Carer Shaquille arrived. He changed the day pouch for me. Medications were given, and a brief natter was enjoyed.

Started this blog off. But…

Window shot to the left.
Then to the right.

Kara Kara Called; she was doing the two calls, financial and normal medicationings together today. She said she’d ring Virgin about a new package and getting the box sorted out. We were on the phone for an aeon… sorting out the package, and waiting for the technician to come on the line. Even I heard some of the canned music being played with the phone on hands-free. While waiting what seemed an hour, but couldn’t have been, I realised that Kara had phoned on the Virgin number, not the free 150 from Virgin lines… this call is going to cost me a fortune! Argh!
Eventually, they agreed a deal. I was not fully compus-mentis of what was happening, but have faith in Kara. All sorted for me! Kara wrote it down for me. New package; £42.79, for six months, then it’s going up to £56.59. As Kara needed to go, she found a letter on the floor, and I asked her to open it, which she did. I got confirmation from Age UK that my insurance had been paid. Thanked her and off she shot. Hehe! ♥ Lost without her help.

This may have helped the incompetent, figure-rustling and manipulative Smoke & Mirrors ladies & gentlemen at , who are buying up or into so many internet companies and keeping this quiet, to be actually working! I wonder what their cunning plan is with all the invested-in and bought-out internet companies they have got in with? Liberty acquired German company Unity-Media in November 2009 for $5.2 billion. 2010 Liberty sold its stake in Jupiter Telecommunications, a Japanese telecommunications services provider. In January 2013, Liberty Global raised its stake in Belgium-based Telenet from 50.2% to 58%. Liberty Global operates through the following subsidiaries and shareholdings: All3Media (50% ownership with Warner Bros. Discovery), ITV plc (United Kingdom) (9.9% shareholding) Platforma Canal+ (Poland) (17% ownership), Sunrise UPC (Switzerland) (100% ownership), Telenet (Belgium) (58% ownership). UPC Broadband, UPC Slovakia, Virgin Media Ireland Limited, Virgin Media Television, Virgin Mobile. Virgin Media O2 (70% ownership), O2 UK, GiffGaff 65% ownership, Tesco Mobile (50% ownership). Virgin Media Limited (UK), Virgin Media Business Limited, Virgin Mobile (UK), Vodafone (8.9% owned), VodafoneZiggo (50% ownership), Vodafone Netherlands, Ziggo, Ziggo Sport, Ziggo Sport Totaal, and Telefónica. Mike Fries is the Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairperson of Liberty Global. He took home $62m in FY2, plus a guaranteed percentage of shares. Just how can the lad be expected to run an internet service that works, on such a paltry wage? Surely, his number-crunching, figure-shuffling, securities broker-expert is worth more? I feel so sorry for him.

Jealousy may be involved here! Hahaha!
I like him, & his good looking, Mafiosa face.
Went off on a tangent there, didn’t I? Sorry!

No Domestic lady called again, (holiday catch-up for the gal) and I was not up to cleaning with all the worry over the cataract and glaucoma procedure, and getting things ready for it.

Aha, I felt a movement from within there. Time to visit the for another go… Cor!

Got on with computing. I was getting hungry after she’d gone. Got the Tuesday blog finished & sent sent off to WordPress. Did some work on this blog, then got some nosh going.
Bit of a bigger nosh tonight. Sliced potatoes roasted, garden peas, a soy burger, fancy strawberry-filled pastry (Not that there was much filling in it, mostly pastry, disappointed in this one), and a banana to finish off with. Taste Rating: 6.8/10.

Carer Benjamin arrived after I’d eaten the feast and just fell asleep. He was on his last call and looked a little weary.
No tablets or medicine were needed. He attached the night pouch to the . Insisted he took a can of his choice on his way out with him.

Nodded off again, and the landline flashed!
It was the doctor’s surgery with the new Warfarin doses after the blood test. The INR level had gone up a little. I changed the doses on the Carers book to the new doses.
Zzz!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
What a fantastic day it was today it was! Marvellous, gay, abandoned, happy, rewarding, stimulating...
Fair enough, it’s just that I’m getting fed up to the one-and-a-half back teeth I’ve got left; with my own wailing & moaning about life’s naturally unlucky, perversive, frustrating pattern of late! In fact, it was a lot easier than yesterday’s doom, gloom and despondency & pessimism. But, not by a lot!
I did the usual going off track when doing the blogging and found myself working on the rhyming words list again. So, it is now nearly 22:00hrs and I’m only just starting on this blog. Tired out, weary and fighting falling asleep. I’ve not yet had a meal, or shave, and I’ve been up since 02:55hrs! has had far greater success in getting me confused and misled. But one thing was like yesterday: instead of giving myself bad language and feeling sorry for myself, I’ve just said ‘Sod-it’ a few times, and was totally unaware of the things I’d not done, and started different things done, which confused me more than ever!
I think I need help. Hehehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Woke, I looked at the clock and tried to get back to sleep, but without any luck, but I did try.

So about 02:55hrs, I got the night pouch removed from , then hauled my elephantine body from the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner. Temporarily, I had a desire to get so much done… it didn’t last long.

I went to check that no taps (faucets) or the stove had been left on, and I got the kettle on for a mug of Glengettie.

Got the waste bags sorted out.

To the wet room for a wash and get the medicationalisationings tackled. Shortages of medications: Germoloid, Germolene, Olive Oil and Nasal Spray! Tsk!

I’m not sure if I have some new leg water papules coming up or not. New spots of some sort? The feet seemed to have differing colours; they started like this last time the feet legs and especially the ankles blew up? I’ll check later.
The white area on the toes seems to be getting bigger? My email, American Petal-Angel Lisa, suggested this may be Reynauds? I must look this ailment up. ♥

Got the computer on with a view to getting a good early start on yesterday’s blog finishing. But, no! With an hour of getting not much done was on…

The Asda order arrived while I was in another wait for the
to start again.
A big order today… Fridge products sorted…
Then, the frozen ones…
Too much bread in stock! Tsk!
Fridge cram-packed…
Bladder Belinda liquids built up…
My new favourites, are LU soft lemon-flavoured cakes. Very nice indeed. During the day I ate two of these, four shortcake biscuits and two bananas. No meal yet but I may stay awake long enough to make something. Or not!
Very nice, too!

Three hours after getting back on the computer.
Brown-outs had grown to ten.
But seemed to be getting far less now?.

Then, my wandering off onto the word listing for the odes began! I spent hours on it, just not realising.
Carer Kara called twice, and Carer Benjamin also.

As I was eating the second banana and taking this photo…
I felt the warm liquid in the lower region inside the Protection Pants! I knew immediately that this was a bad one.
Off to the wet room, it was I’m afraid due to . And no Daktacort Cream left! Stopping the flow of blood took me ages. Messed up my legs, dirtied the floor, and annoyed me so much. Once the flow stopped and I’d spent aeons medicating, it cost me another hour just to get the floor and myself clean again. The haemoglobin seemed very thick this time?
I returned to the computer, cursing, almost spitting, and feeling rather pissed off again. Especially when my pathetic ground to a halt again.
But it was the last failure. Bless them!

Carer Benjamin arrived for the late call. I was in a surprisingly perky mood for some reason. I took his blood pressure and temperature. All came out in NHS normal band: 123/68, Pulse 68 & Temperature 36.8 all good.

I went to the kitchen to put the oven on for hopefully some chips to bake. And took these two shots of the evening sky.
Bootiful!

00:25hrs: I did some more on this blog. Then got the nosh sorted and were cooking.

Have a Great Day, Each!

INCHY: Sunday 27th August 2023 – A Somandric & Mind Baffling Day

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

03:30: Woke and spent a few minutes worrying over anything and everything. I could feel the ticker beating heavily, so I stayed there in the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner, and spent time on concentrating what needs doing today, then had to work out what day it was. Plainly, I must have been having a dream that affected me, but I cannot recall having one?

Then I detached the night bag from the gripper on the . The pouch was lighter in colour and much fuller than of late.

Feeling much better now, I got the waste bags into one bag…
and taken to the front door.

A different than of late colouring to the morning view from the kitchenette window.

I made up some Spring Water bottles, adding a little orange juice and lime to the other.

Remembering I’d not even started yesterday’s blog yet, I got the computer on to add the photos from the Kodak… but…

Then I got carried away again, making up the personal diary I’ve been doing for years, on Excel. I tried the internet a few times, and eventually, it came back on… for five minutes!
Back to the dictionary of words.
back on.

Back to the dictionary of words.

It was struggling to get back on, so I lost aeons saving everything, all off – and again had to reset the box. Wait the regulation for 10 minutes and turn it back on. Twice, before it activated!

Got carried away again, and the Carer arrived. Blimey! I’d been up for about five hours already and I’d got nowt done! It was Carer Rhamat, a nice gal. I took her Blood pressure as I took mine. Hers came out as ‘IDEAL’ on the NHS thingamabob. SYS 120, DIA 70, Pulse 91, Temperature 36.8 Great! Mine? Well… SYS 148 DIA 78 Pulse, 74 Temp 36.9.

At last, I made a start on yesterday’s blog. Time is running out already! I persisted, despite the failure now at

Got the blog posted to WordPress, and off to the wet room to activate the functionalisationing.
The new Sudocrem ointment is not effective at all, I’m afraid.
Germolene and Germoloids supply are so low now!
Having to ration the use of them, but paying for this in terms of discomfort and pain. Does the Prime (No idea) Minister know?

Brightening up a little out there. lovely puffers!

The summoned me back to the wet room. This time it was back in control.

.

Then I got the eyes done. and then when that had dried the
As I was about to check to see if I had some more Olive Oil in stock to use… the pouch began to slip down. THE bladder was pumping it out better, as it does now and then, to catch me out! Then… and it’ll be hard to explain this, but I’ll try to…

I bent to empty the , as I was flipping the rubber end to encourage the final few drops of urine to come out… I think something shot out of the tube… Here is the best photo I could manage of it with the Kodak…
I could swear it was an insect of some sort. Where it came from puzzled me. The urine was almost a clear colour and I poured some to investigate what the thing was. It appeared to have tentacles at the thick end, and a head, at the other.
It shows up as red for some reason on the picture and is not clear. Bit in the urine, and after getting it out, it looked dark blue to me? Another Mystery of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasm, spirits, or the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind? I wondered what the third one would be… they say puzzles come in threes?

For a change, when the current bottle of spring water ran out, I had a can of Bud (alcohol-free) never tried it before. And, I’ll never try it again, terrible! Ah, well…
So, I made a reliable mug of Glengettie tea, unfortunately, this means none will be allowed for me tonight. Two a day is the limit… mind you, I can have as many mugs of decaffeinated as I fancy. Have you ever tried decaf tea? Don’t! Urgh!

The toes and extremities were even whiter today!

Last photo of the day.
Well, I did take three more, but I’d left the flipping SD card in the reader and didn’t realise. Grumph!

What a Start This Morning!
The Go-Wrongables went wrong again!

It all started the moment I woke up, with agony from the gonads area. Due to the movement of the long night pouch tube that was attached to much unwanted, I must have chaffed away at the gonads as ‘things’ moved for the first time in months! I’ll not go into too much detail, but the dreaming involved things of an amorous nature, with a bit of physical passion thrown in! As I began to launch myself from the depths of the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, I believed a glance at the wall clock, that fell off of the wall and now resides next to the squeaky Margaret Thatcher toy, on top of the electric fire, that I can’t afford to use with the cost of electricity; and panicked a little when I saw (Wrongly as it happens) that the clock showed it to be about ten past seven. And the food delivery is coming twixt 07:00 > and 08:00! In my haste to get up, the tube caught on the new air cushion that was delivered for me yesterday. No messing about with jokes at this stage… It was horrendously painful, and I felt sure the blood flowed much more than usual this morning!
I fumblingly got the night pouch off ASAP and grabbed for my , and off to the wet room to check on the state of my inguen department in the lower regions. en route against the door frame. But did not stop, went in and peeled off the bloodied protection pants, and went into an investigative mode to assess the damage. Not much Germolene left; I used most of it on Little Inchies. Then realised I had even less left of the Germoloid ointment! But remembered my taking brave choice, to order a tube of each on today’s Morrison order, and dang, the cost! Taking the wristwatch off, I spotted the real-time! 03:30hrs. All that rushing and pain for nothing.
Tea GlengettieGot the computer on to update yesterday’s blog. The time flew, but I took a break for a brew of Glengettie and the two last biscuits from the jar. No, I didn’t cry! But it was a close call. Hehe! I’d ordered some on the Morrison order, which cheered me up.
Little did I know what wasn’t being delivered and substituted, or I may have cried then!
MORRISON MUCK-UP!
The driver was kind enough to put the products into carriers I had saved and took them into the hallway for me. Kind of him; many tip the food out of their trays onto the kitchen floor or in the doorway. Thanks, mate, I appreciated that. I set about emptying the carriers and photographing the various foods, thinking of little witty things to say on the blog
. I must have taken about eight decent photographs, starting with the line of carriers in the hallway. Freezer, fridge, and cupboard goods.
Then, as I was putting the things away… I realised how many had been substituted or were not available. Tsk!
No Germolene or Germoloid! ‘Sudcrem’ had been substituted. The two vegetable risotto meals had been swapped for, of all things, Vegetable Lasagne, Horrible stuff! But I didn’t notice it soon enough to send it back. Or I would have. Urrgh! Kara is a vegan; I’ll see if she will have them on her next call
. The two Morrisons Acute Diarrhoea Relief Caps (Cost £1.20 each) were substituted with one Morrisons Diarrhoea Relief Instant Tablets. £6! Then, Pukka Cheese Leek & Potato Slices, £1.20, were replaced with Ginsters Cheddar & Onion Slices @ £1.48! Suddenly I remembered why I’d stopped using Morrisons delivery service – too late now. Gits! Can all these things keep happening to me every day? Well, yes!

When Carer Kara arrived, the bleeding from the private quarters had stopped, but not the pains. Tsk! Still no Ramipril Tablets, hence the high Blood Pressure readings for today. Kara checked the day pouch, due to be replaced on Wednesday. She kindly said she’d ring the Doctors or chemist about the tablet situation for me. Fingers crossed! It seems that all medications are in short supply at the moment.

I got around to putting the pictures taken onto the computer, my lovingly, carefully, time-consumingly taken shots throughout the late morning. But not one was on the SD card!
The SD card I’d left in the computer reader slot – AGAIN!
, I swore, cursed and lambasted myself as I ground my teeth and wanted to hit myself in the face! What else is going to go wrong? Don’t answer that, please!

Carer Kara arrived. I forced her to take the unwanted Vegetable Lasagne ready meals. It’s that white sauce on the that I don’t like. And I adore the Vegetable Risotto, but the last two times, they have substituted lasagne. Grrr!

Well, there’s no time to make a meal now. I’ve got to get the ablutions tended to… I’ve not started the photos yet; I better get them done first. Then, as instructed, I had to use the chair in the shower, fair enough.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Please let my luck get betterer?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
The night bag colour is looking good.
Plenty of it for once, 500 ml!

A rainy morning close to the glass shot.
A wider view…
But neither was very good. Tsk!

Rubbish bags sorted out.

Popped into the spare room; I did a bit of sorting, but not much.
More waste bags to go.

Titivated the nurses, carers, and helpers nibbles.

.

Computer issues bamboozled me.

Water Chestnuts Pickled!
After getting them into the jar, Kara told me they needed 4 days in the fridge. As instructed, I shook the seasoning in the tub.
Sorry, I did now. The lid wasn’t waterproof; vinegar went all over me and the floor to clean up. Fancy that!

The Morrison Farce Arrived.
All those lost photos, I took a few more, too late, of course.
Fridge close up. Leicester cheese to go in the potatoes later… well, that’s the plan, anyway.
Fridge full view.
Terribly bad freezer shot…
But the bananas came out alright.
I’ve eaten two during the day.

Balcony photo of the end car park.

Low puffer clouds, Bootiful!.
A Higher in the Sky view.

What were these two supposed to beat me?
Although this one could be my finger?
Better get on with the ablutions… Oh no…
It’s too late… no, I’ll get them done.
Back later.
He says, full of hope!

I’m back, but much later than planned. Tuesday morning.
I’d . Woke and went to check on the cooking and spotted the part moon high in the sky. I took these poor efforts for  photographicalisations
Got the wobbles, methinks?

Turned on the TV & .
The clouds had taken over the view.

I took these from the kitchenette window.
I forgot to check on the cooking. Tsk!

Gorgeous!
What a remarkable change to the scene!
Bootiful!

Got the meal served up. Instant mash with Leicester cheese and sea salt added! Vegan sausages, chestnuts, red & yellow tomatoes, salted, and mushrooms were over-seasoned and overcooked! And a banana. Shame! Carer Benjamin arrived as I was serving up the meal. He kindly put it into the microwave to keep it warm for me.
But I ate most of it; I just had to leave some of the mushrooms.
Flavour-Rating: 8.1/10! Got the pots washed and…

Slept for a couple of hours before the usual jumping awake with a jolt. Which, unfortunately, tugged at the tube from deep within Little Inchie, causing to bleed a bit. (It also made me wince and curse a little, but no matter.) Off to the wet room, carrying & the , to clean and medicate things in the lower regions. Washed and got new PPs on. I forgot about the instructions to sit down to get dressed. I used Protection Pants for the first time to see how with them. They are much thinner than the others, and the actual pads seem smaller in ratio. But we were comfortable enough after the gruelling battle to get them on! Hehehe!

All medicated and cleaned up, I hobbled into the kitchenette to ensure no taps (faucets) or stove had been left on, and the fridge & freezer doors were shut!
Which was when I spotted the orange moon high in the dark sky. I decided to take a photograph of it… But it came out like this below… Artistic, methinks, even if it was not planned.
How the heck I managed to get three copies of The Moon in there is beyond me. I bet WordPress photographer, singer, songwriter, animal lover, novelist and jolly-good-fellow Tim Price in New Mexico would know!

IN ODE… I DIDN’T SAY IT WAS A GOOD ODE!
Today has been more than ever surreal,
I woke up with a wobbly left heel,.
A knee that at times I could not feel?
Throughout the day I mustered no zeal!
At times I felt a little funereal!.
Again, sleep was not acquirable,
I felt tired, and Gawdawful,
Though it ended with a decent meal…
No concentration; I felt so angstful,
But, I can be indefatigable…
But not while life is so insurmountable!

Cheesy curls for the week.
Got stored away.
Well stocked?
Then sorted the nurses, carers, and delivery people treats.
Plenty of choices for them now.

Letters from EE, The EENT Clinic, & QMC.

Prepped the cooking for the nosh.
Shelled some pod peas, and added them to the rice and veg. Sea salt, and veg Oxo.
Tested them after adding a can of chunky veg soup
to the saucepan. I left the heavy-duty saucepan on low heat for a little longer.
Blogged away for several more hours, forgetting about the veg cooking…
FOOL!
I rescues the gooey-sticky mess of food, but adding some concentrated Borschst and vinegar to the mix, and gave it a good stirring for a while as it reheated.

Carer Kara returned the laundry for me…
and kindly hung up the dressing gowns for me. ♥

I got the nosh served up…
And it tasted Grrreat!
Flavour-Rating: 9/10! Slurred, gobble, belch!

The last Carer Called; the night bag was attached, to the day bag. The taps & cooker were not checked, though. So I had to carry the night bag with me and my beloved to check on the taps (faucets) and cooker. I’m so glad I did, I’d left the small hob on from cooking the meal. Phew!

Sleep for once came easily. Off into the land of nod in noir time! Had a dream as I recall, I was back as a young whippersnapper, in Brookfield Place in the old Meadows area of Nottingham. I can’t recall too much, other than it was a happy nocturnal dream for once… I think!

Woke up early, and had to get up… a call from the made me get up, and I could not get back to sleep… Fancy that!

Sorry, there’s not much detail.

What an expensive day!
The usual getting things wrong, forgotten about, dropped, lost, back-to-front, or the many dithering moments guaranteed another 24 hours of anosmia. With eyesight that put me in danger as it would get worse momentarily; Dangerous on my hobble to and from the Optician. Where, between them and the Ozan food store, I spent a small fortune!
Two costly eye medications bought, the Smoked Knuckle that I couldn’t resist, and cash to pay the Easy-Link from the thingy in the wall in Sherwood. I was out of the flat for about five hours, and returned having spent on the glasses, medications and shopping treats… over £320! The Bank Balance is at its lowest for years now! The eye is still bothering me and as I said, making me a bit nervous. The eye this morning, is even more painful after having the cream and spray put on last night.
A Fed-Upperedness-Lingers!

Not sure why I took this one – or even meant to?
Rushed around getting things ready for the trip to the Opticians.
Carer Kara arrived. No eye drops were given. She said she will try to find out for me whether I should or not be using them still. ♥ Medications sorted.

Had a bash at doing the blog, but within ten minutes…

I set of with the I hoped all the things I needed in the three-wheeled-walker trolley. Old spectacle frames to have the new lens fitted into. My wristwatch, bus pass, mobile phone, the beloved Kodak camera, and some cash. I set off on the journey to the opticians. I went down in the lift and took this snap of the information board as I got out of the elevator.

I walked outside and down to the Winwood foyer. This was to escape the drizzle and high winds.
Took these snaps of the view from within the outer foyer.
Then as the time neared for the bus, out to the bus shelter.
Taking this snap of the traffic island outside the flats. The wind was blasting the weeds and plants all over.

Down into Sherwood, got off of the bus without any tumbles or falls this time. Up to the crossing, over the road and into the opticians. Where the three pretty young lady assistants pampered me a little… I loved that! They seem to have taken to me? Another mystery! I was helped with the trolley into the examination room. But on my going inside…
I felt the catheter pouch dropping… Dam It! After all that time preparing everything to go out, I’d not emptied the pouch! I cringed as I had to ask if there was anywhere I could empty it. The lady kindly took me through the back of the shop, through some narrow junk rooms; she even helped me get up the steps to the WC.
Back to the test room. It must have taken her well over an hour & a half with all the tests needed. The outcome was costly!
I needed an eye spray and Gel. The tears were drying far too quickly, and the grit-in-the-eye scenario needed the spray. I can’t recall how much they each were, but the total was £23! pound. And there was me, thinking it was my natural charismatic charm, humour, and good looks that were getting appreciated by the staff. Hahaha! It must have been three hours after arriving, I was freed, to get some cotton pad (Not wool) from Wilko. Who, of course, didn’t have any in stock. But I let the girls select a can of pop of their choice from the trolley before departing to Wilko’s.

I hobbled carefully down to the Ozan store.

I was foolishly tempted to buy more veg knuckles and a large potato. Got some cash from the machine outside as I left.
A danged expensive trip this one was!

Then a grinding hobble back up Winchester Street Hill.
I think the hobble earlier helped me cope with it easier this time.
Approaching the left turn to the flats, which was not in view yet.
Almost there…
These wildflowers caught my attention again, as the poor things were getting battered by the winds.

I got inside the flats and was commandeered by ILC (Independent Living Coordinators), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress, Warden and Primo Ballerina, Warden Deana & Generaloberstess, Ice skating champion florist and Warden Julie’s office. This is used as a holding cell and an interrogation room. Only joking!
A Prisoner’s… no, Tenant’s detail updating was done.
The new ailments had to be added. Har-Har!
This took a while.

Back to the flat.
Along the link passage from Winwood to Woodthorpe Court.
At the end, Near the swipe door…
A photo of the overgrown natural greenery!

Back up to the apartment.
The knuckle and the potato.
The potato was put in the oven on low heat.

Tried to catch up with yesterday’s blog.

Gave up, and checked on the potato in the oven; it needed a little longer. I sat in the £300, second-hand, most uncomfortable, decrepit, Haemorrhoid Harold-testing, micro-organism-microbe-bugged, easily-fallout able from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner, and nodded off with being kind, as well as the giving me a break…
was kind as well… then as heavenly peace arrived… I think was beginning a peaceful dream with a HRH Petal-Lisa and me in a railway carriage, dining… somewhat
the landline burst into flashing mode.
I jerked awake, my glasses dropped of my head… I carefully (I thought) rose from the recliner; knocking off a bottle of spring water and the torch off of the ottoman… nearly lost my balance going the two paces nodded to get to the telephone, and responded with a pleasant, ‘Good Evening’ quote. It was the
, with the results of the blood test. My INR had gone up to 4.2 for some reason, so the new dosages were given to me. Struggling to hear what the receptionist was saying didn’t matter this time; it was easy to hear… one each night! I thanked her and nearly tripped over the bottle of spring water as I went to the carers table and change the dosage on the Meridian book cover. Collected the dropped items from my getting up, and got back down into the £300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesore-horrendously grungy coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner… but not for long… I got the nosh sorted and started to dine well.

Within about ten minutes the door chime chimed out its; tune.

It was Carer Chris coming for the last call of the day. Nice and early too, I was half asleep. He got the and on the eye; the gel application hurt a smidge as I recall after it was put on, but nothing too bad.
No painkillers were offered, and, as I found out in the morning, no night pouch was added to the day bag. I think the lad knew from earlier how tired I felt with the trip out. He was off quickly, telling me to get some sleep, bless him.

But it was not to be!
Again the raged. No peace, just reminders of past errors, mistakes and shameful moments, relentlessly. One incident from 1957 was thrown in this time. This is getting bad, I wonder if I can get any help with this problem?
Has anyone mentioned it to Rishi Sunak, yet? Hahaha!

Still, I’m eating well!

Oh, just found this photo that I missed off!

What an atrocious, awful, deplorable, lousy, reprehensible rotten day of computer cock-ups on my behalf!
You wouldn’t believe that after ten hours of work done on the blog and Corel-Draw, (Interrupted only by carers calling), I lost all the later taken photographs – Had to make the Health Check graphic again, and actually lost the damned notepad with the reminders of events on it! Several times throughout the day, I had problems and Accifauxpas due to failing, and me hitting obviously, the wrong keys without realising, and finding the computer doing different things than I wanted; and had to turn everything off and back on again to reset to default. This happened to me on CorelDraw, Excel and MS Word… oh, and on the internet as well!
My spirits sank, a visited me a few times as well. Repeating these cock-ups and several times throughout the day, was humiliating to me.
Self-Pity, Self-Hating and Time-to-give-up episodes made things, well, me, feel even worse for having them!
Around teatime, I made the meal, just a few battered soy balls. Yet despite things calming down a little; mistake-wise, I enjoyed this small simple bowl of fodder. But… when I woke up with the usual jerk and jump, I found… wait for it… eight empty Cheesy Curl bags in the waste bin beside the £300, second-hand, most uncomfortable, decrepit, Haemorrhoid Harold-testing, micro-organism-microbe-bugged, easily-fallout-able-from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner. Now guilt joined my emotions!
I could not get back to sleep. I was waking up every few minutes, it seemed. Yet there were no pains from any of the ailments; although was sticking a bit, and no bothering me? I gave up any hope of returning to snuggling up with , and I got up (Mon) at 05:15hrs…
With my brain suffering from baffling .
I wouldn’t like another day like this ever again! It was most likely something to do with

Straw-like mash!

Went on the balcony again, and did my best to take a shot with the Kodak of a crow down below. I took several snaps, but all were horrendously poor. The above is the best of them.

.
A wide shot of the horizon to the North-West.
Then to the East.

This is the stage where I made a series of absolute & .
Lost all the photos, and spent hours trying to get the computer back to default after died on me for a few minutes… and the cock-ups began!

I gave up trying and spent some time doing other things that needed my attention, paperwork-wise. A farce that was too!
The eyes were incapable of deciphering the minuscule print.
I found using the spy-glass didn’t solve anything – I had to hold it so close to the paper, I could only read a line at a time, as I tried to scroll down with the magnifier. Then forgot what I’d read in the first place; it took me that long! The ailments were at it now, causing me angst! , , , & , , any one of them… or all of them to blame?
Even, although not related to the current farce;  , ,
I even had a , while I was sat down! A first there I think? Which loosened the flaming day pouch, which cost me even more time to sort out!
I was already feeling sorry for myself and depressed about how things were going – or not! – I was at the depths of despondency and dejection, and had a Eureka moment of conceptualisation: “Why are you (me) getting all worked up? This is like a normal day for you… what’s yer problem? Did you expect anything to go right? I thought you’d made your mind up that your life’s got so bad, because of your past life’s wrongdoings?”
What a grumbling moaning soured turd you are!
I was more settled after that! Not content you understand, or heaven-forbid happy; but less depressed!

The last Carer call was by Richard. He said the eye drops were to be used up, and then they finish. The same with the drops, but need to check with the hospital about those, ASAP, cause we have a lot left in the medical drawer.

A lste shot of the sky, that I cannot remember taking was found on the SD card.

Then another sleep-deprived night!

Keep Well, all my mass of adoring Blog-Fans.
Both of you!

I believe I’m slowly slithering more & more under the control of . No doubt about it!
At about 05:00hrs, I gave up trying to get any sleep or peace of mind,
after the night long I’d suffered.
My first thought was the beauty of the morning sky, a comforting shade of blue, seeable from the c1968, non-operational, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, germ-breeding, Harold Haemorrhoid-Testing, sickenly beige-coloured recliner. And felt the need to photograph it – at the time all the reasons I took it were almost paramount in my mind.
A few hours later, when I got around to doing this blog, I had no idea what the reasons were, except for the colour maybe.
Concerned about the eye drops situation, though. When to stop taking them. The two months quoted after the cataract operation, finished tomorrow?
Ah, well on with the busy day’s tales.

The night bag colour was a five on the NHS guide.

I had a strong thirst for a mug of tea – so went into the kitchen and made myself a good strong mug of Glengettie.

But I had to let it get cold, as a sudden need for the arose abruptly.
A fourth day on the trot (Pun intended, Hehe!) of ruling the proceedings. A messy affair!
Also, although the evacuated product was almost straw-like, it took a lot of effort to get it to escape!

I was using the expensive, claiming to be the best there is, WC cleaner. And the squirted cap fell off, and ¾ of it shot out in one go! Tsk! Ah, well, that serves me right!

The left foot & ankle were looking better.

The mudslide is visibly decreasing in size.
It looked light the lights were on the right car.
But I think it might be a reflective covering?

The morning sky was brewing up, for sunshine I think

On with the blogging photograph sorting

Made my second and last mug of tea of the day earlier than usual. Unzipped-a-Banana! Haha!

Carer Chris did the medicationings. And took the laundry bag. I put the carers chair cover on the computer chair.
As the big one was in the laundry bag.

It looks like the being done-up house on the edge of the bottom field, had some washing out to dry. I thought they may have gone away while the house was being upgraded.

The landline flashed, but I was emptying the catheter pouch at the time, and it rang off before I could get to it.
Then a message was left on the mobile. I was the foot lady telling me I’m expected at the salon to have the tootsies done… in fifteen minutes!
I had to save the work, shut down the computer, and struggle to get the trousers and shoes on without help! Needless to say, it was a lot longer than 15 minutes by the time I arrived at the salon. Still, got the toenail and feet done. Paid the £25 bill. Got an appointment for the next time, but lost the card somehow.
Called to see Oberstgrüppenfuhreress Warden and Primo Ballerina Warden Deana. And on the way back to the flat, I made a decision… well several! – Oh, yes, it can happen occasionally!

I would make a break for it and escape Woodthorpe Court’s Asylum! Here’s the plan I brewed up.

① The Doctor told me I could go to the chemist to get my flu jab. So it will be a trip on the bus down into Sherwood and the pharmacy, where I also planned…
② To get some batteries, anti-diarrhoea capsules.
③ Try to get some Borscht from the Ozan store.
④ Go to Haydn Road Cobblers and get a watch battery.
⑤ Call at the opticians to explain about the cataracts and my needing new spectacles.
⑥ Remembering, to take the Kodak Camera with me so I didn’t forget it again, I put it in my jacket pocket straight away.
Although unknown to me at the time, I’d left the SD card on the computer! So I ended up buying another one while I was out; on what turned out to be a horrendously mind-bending, physically draining, full of mistakes & failures trip out!

I’m going to do a part-two blog for today. All about the planned escape, failed missions, cock-ups, expense-riddled, agony-assuring, near-crippling,  ‘Pop to the Shops In Sherwood’, and having to walk back up the dreaded-steep Winchester Hill with a filled up with carrier bags on the handlebars, back home to the penitentiary!

I was in a sad state by the time I got back.

Had some rather Dark urine in the night pouch this morning.
But there was a little more than there has been lately.

That was a good sign of hope; that the Finasteride tablets may be doing the hoped-for job of shrinking the prostrate, with a view to me being able to wee-wee once again, with Little Inchie direct into the WC!

The ankle and legs looked a lot better this morning. But… the hip joint was genuine agony for me. The rib pains, as are the burning, stinging pains from the leg injury and infection, are less frequent.
I soon learned that walking was risky, with the hip partially seeming to give way now and then. Oh, and the pain when it does – ARRGH!
Turned on the computer. I got the waste bags made up, and I thought the hip pains might ease when I hobbled about. But, No!
Went to make a brew, and the Carer arrived. I was in the kitchen, so I didn’t hear the doorbell sounding. Turned around, and the gal made me jump… Hahaha! She helped me get the slippers on.
Had a closer look at the infected wound coin the leg. It looked so much better. The occasional stinging pains still give me some pain and hassle, though.

I spent a few hours catching up on the blogging. Carer Sam arrived. We had a mini-natter; she did the usual for the noon call. Drops & medications.
I went to make another brew, taking a snap of progress at the house, close to the Woodthorpe Grange Park bottom field. Plenty of equipment or parts there this morning.
I had to take the right slipper off. Too painful, as the leg and ankles are beginning to swell up again. Getting as big as the left leg. The hip is just as bad; it’s not a good place to be when I stand or brave hobbling. Bit of drizzle, and I espied the mud-slide was relatively wide. Hehe!
I went back to the computer to finish off Friday’s post.

Well, fancy that! That’s not exactly why I thought, but you get the idea, I’m sure!)
So, I went off to visit once more, the ,
Another marathon session… well, not the session, but the cleaning up after the session… if you know what I mean… if you do, please let me know. Thanks!

NokiaI finally got the blog sent off to WordPress. A text came in on my new Nokia 90 Hz refresh rate 6.56-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 720×1612 pixels (HD+) and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Nokia G42 5G is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ processor and come with 4GB of RAM mobile. I may have got the wrong name there?
The night bags are being delivered today. Carer Kara ordered them for me. ♥

They arrived at 11:15hrs on the midday Carer Call while Carer Jo-Anne was here.
Raining again.
Made a start of this template.
I took this photo and searched for my missing nail cloppers... no, nail clioppers… 3rd try… nail clippers! Gorrit!
One shot of the houses around about.
A little like an upper-class Coronation Street?
With no Rovers Return, of course!
I thought of some titles for these pictures;

The Invasion of the Grey Clouds!
Grey Aliens Attack!
Is there anybody there?
Grey Clouds Escape?

Aliens Spit Euro Dollar Signs in Attack on Earth!

Maybe not.

Moving forward to take the close-up shot, I accidentally & Caught the infected wound simultaneously on the radiator. Which caused me considerable pain as I twisted my left hip in unison.
But, you know me, (Ahem!) it was no bother; I merely laughed it off casually. Well, I did an hour or so later when the Codeines, Phorpain Gel and Hemp had had time to ease the pain. Hehehe!

I hope the Oligarchs pretend connection does not go down again. I must get the food order done. I will try it now; crossed fingers and all that… Huh!.

I started preparing and cooking the nosh; I just had to take a shot of the sky through the kitchenette window. Gorgeous! A
without any doubt.
Not too fancy a meal. But enough for me to enjoy. The soy lemon yoghurt was the highlight of the dish
.
Flavour Rating Overall: 6/10.

I hobbled off to wash the pots up and got this photograph of the great, which could almost be a painting, view of the evening sky shot yet again.
What happened after that? I’ve no idea. But I woke up later with the hip giving agony, which is most likely the reason. No choice; I had to take an extra Codeine and Paracetomal to ease things before I could nod off again. Tsk!

The likelihood of unlikely liberalism looming is always liable!
