– – – HELP FOR ALL! – – –
There’s usually a thought worth thinking…
Until a problem arrives, more demanding,
Though factors currently depending…
On seriousness, practicality & spending,
Earlier plans may need synchronising,
The original idea may need some tweaking…
Options left available may leave you seething,
Chances of success may be receding?
Can you see where this ode is leading?
Your intentions may be beyond solving,
But you’ve got me sympathising,
You must be realising…
I do not want to be scaremongering,
Needs, desires, once so promising,
Hopes at birthing, now get a pulverising,
If possible, they need reorganising,
These failures will be nauseating,
Indeed, hellacious, repugnant & maddening,
No need for any self-admonishing…
Just come see Inchy; it’ll not be distressing…
We’ll share a chinwag, I’ll have you laughing,
I’m pretty good at motivating…
You’ll feel better after our 12-hour boozing!

06:20hrs: I awoke from the broken sleep night. However, each time I shot awake, mainly due to
, I was soon back in the land of Nod after every awakening. I reckon, in total, I must have had around six hours in the land of bliss! The longest night’s sleep for weeks! Great! 👍🏻
Then things started to get farcical!
The J Sainsbury order email said they would deliver between 0858 and 0958. However, the intercom did not ring, and Carer Chloe, who made the first call, made her domestic call around 1000. I mentioned the JS order, and she later rang JS for me after discovering that the intercom was not working.
JS said they tried to deliver to me at 0945hrs but got no reply.
They will be delivering again tomorrow between 12 and 1300 hrs. Chloe informed Warden Julie and asked if she could check the condition of my intercom. Julie, on her own with the three blocks of flats to look after, said she would try to find time today. But it’s now gone at 16:00 hrs, so I imagine the gal is too busy. Oh, dearie, me! Even if Julie makes it today, there will still not be time to get a repairman out in time for the expected rearranged delivery.
I must be downstairs in the Woodthorpe Court’s main lobby from 11:45 to 1300hrs, minimum, in the morning. Which could be even dodgier, as the Cardiac nurse is due to call, and I may miss her while I’m in the lobby – not that I could hear her on the non-working intercom anyway. Also, the financial carer support is due around the same time!
The cheesy cobs, sliced bread, and the flowers for Julie and Jenny will have been in the JS bags for 18 hours and bashed about, no doubt, being delivered misshaped and or crushed.
This means they will have to be frozen in stale condition. What will they taste like later? God knows!
Would you believe it? DVT Warfarin haematology Nurse Hristin just rang me to tell me she will also be coming to see me tomorrow! Arghh! But that’s no problem, having the kindest, most helpful nurse I’ve ever had calling on me. 💘
Carer Sam arrived for the noon visit/check. I told her of the farcical JS delivery, the intercom not working, and exactly how I felt. Depressed and utterly fed up with life and not getting enough help with things! Oh, I was low!
Back to earlier. (I’ve little concentration now) Feeling sorry for myself, and that’s not me.
Carer Chloe graded the morning’s
nocturnal pouch as colour 7 on the NHS card.
I paid the Porcelain Throne a visit for a good half-hour.
If not longer! Constipation Conrad was in
an unmoving state of mind. Despite my painful efforts to encourage the evacuation by various means, things remained motionless! Why I thought the many groans I gave out would help, I don’t know. Eeeowargh! U, Uh, Eek, Ahahaha!, and at one stage, a few pathetic tear-producing whimpers, too!
The morning sky was back to its blue hue today. The low clouds can be clearly defined in this photograph.
Then, I raised the camera to take
a higher-in-the-sky shot.
Somehow or other, I had not noticed what I assumed to be the moon while taking this snap. It looked too bright to be the moon. I am puzzled as to what it was if not, though?
The wet kitchenette floor after Chloe left the flat. She also cleaned the new oven for me, bless her cotton socks. She left to try to see Warden Julie about the intercom not working for me.
Afternoon shots of the dwellings around Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, spirits, or the Fata Morganas
that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind, which is losing its marbles? Then a wider shot of the loft drug growers area to the left of the window.
I went to WordPress Reader and then to the comments page.
Sudden darkness befell!
You may not believe it, but within minutes of taking this, the sky lit up when somehow the sun burst through on its Sunsetting
mission. Luckily. I’d still got the camera out and caught a couple of shots of the sun setting.
A wide shot, the top one.
Pretty really!
I zoomed in to get a close-up.
Strangely, this one came out alright, too.

The next job was to get something to eat.
Which I did.

Nice enough. But with no bread delivered thanks to this morning’s Inchy-Whoopsiedangleplops, happening. All the mishaps, and I mean this, folks… None of them were my fault!
I was unable to get any help with getting the Intercom repaired. I can no longer hear when the nurses or deliveries arrive!
Warden Julie is alone, looking after three blocks of high-rise flats. So, no blame on her. She didn’t arrive to look at the intercom, but I expected this. This leaves me in a pickle when the District nurses, Cardiac nurse, Social Lady and as for the JS order, I must get a wash & shave and go down to the main foyer to await the arrival of what will be then dried, squashed bread and rolls, flowers etc. being delivered!
I’ve also got to be downstairs for the arrival of the Warfarin Nurse Hristina. Otherwise, she cannot get in to take my blood. No idea what time the Cardiac Nurse is coming, but you can bet she’ll not be able to gain access!
Carer Promise arrived. I told him of today’s farcicalnesses. Well, it gave him a laugh, if nowt else.

SO FAR THIS YEAR…
A camera goes blotchy on me, and another gives up the ghost!
The cooker/stove packs up on me. My Glaucoma op is cancelled.
Catheter Contraption Calamities galore! No banking details yet.
Toothache Tiffany returns. Anne Gyna is now at her worst ever!
Both Cartilage Chloe & Carol have had me over repeatedly!
The average sleep per night is currently at 2.5 hours!
Sandra’s Seizures are getting far worse! Boils on my bum!
Twitching Neck Ted & Thought Storming Steve regular!
I left the hot water tap running 82 times in January!
Computer, CorelDraw, MS, & Prescription problems.
Eyesight is getting worse as each day progresses.
Depression is no longer a rarity; it’s now permanent.
Misshearing on the phone, causing cock-ups.
Norovirus Flu seems to be lingering for a long time?
Now, the intercom in the flats is broken. Food and prescription deliveries cannot be made, and nurses cannot gain access.
Can’t get any help!

I am struggling all around, losing ground…
Things going wrong… others compound,
Frustration: I’ve gritted my teeth and frowned…
The end is high; I’ll be bound!
I’m sick of being flatbound.
The sanity I once foreowned…
Has departed, and I’m all alone,
With help, my confusion to unconfound…
For solutions to confusion, I toss around,
But my brain is now thought-barren ground,
Ever more problems to confound…
Will I take them with me to my burial ground?
Frustrations are just grinding me down!

Still too dark, Hey-Ho!
I didn’t do a good job with my shot of the morning view. It looked right till I uploaded it. Tsk!
He started off last night.
I lost hours when this screen came up on the computer. I may have pressed something unintentionally, a combination? I’m always catching the Conrol, Windows or Alt button without sensing it.
Amazing sky again, well, the clouds.
How did you do?

Off to the kitchen, I limped. The volume of the ‘Hum’ was excessive this morning. Yet, when I opened the unliked, unloved, hard to clean, thick-framed, rain emitting, danger-to-old-folks who cannot see out and below cause of the ridiculously wide ledge, photographer-hating
The readings on the hemadynamometer were looking fine today. The body temperature was showing up as 74°c.
I went to make another brew, and have a wee-wee. The day was dawning now. And I managed to take a decent shot of the skies, that I thought looked so beautiful. But a haze soon appeared afterwards, obnubilating my nephelococcygia fun. Tsk!
I intend to take a picture of the City Hospital from the window at 10:30hrs. Even though the mist is now falling. With the lad being a bricklayer, and having lived and worked in Australia for some years, his stripping off to show the girls his muscular body so often, might have encouraged the poor devil’s cancer. Fingers crossed, and I think he’s doing the right thing in going for experimental trials, good for him!
was well pleased with how it went!
Then I decided on the meal for today. Red potato battered fritters, Surami sticks, tomatoes, the last sourdough muffin, buttered of course.

Got the nosh on the plate, and into the recliner to nosh while watching some Law & Order episodes. The battered red potato fritters, the fresh garden peas (and perhaps the odd unnoticed maggot), the mature, stinky, tasty Stilton and Marmite cheese, piccolo tomatoes, gherkins, surimi sticks, apple, lemon mousse, and some seedless grapes made up the plate. Taste Rating: 8.5/10.
Dived into it, leaving nothing on the plate!

The pins and plates looked a little battered and bruised. But they weren’t hurting any more than usual?
I did take a moment to outstare the Sock-Glide before I left the wet room. If he had eyes, they would have been glaring at me, threateningly! Desperate to draw blood and bruise me, supply my fingers with more black welts again!
I got a mug of Glengettie Gold tea poured out, and the need for a wee-wee returned, so, off to the wet room. And what a change in style this release was! A PLAVC (Long-Painful-And-Various-Coloured) mode. I swear it changed colour half-way through, from a cloudy grey to an even more cloudy orange?

The peas that got in the saucepan were few and far between, especially for the £1.50 they cost. I added a lot of demerara sugar to the pan and checked on the Pork Shoulder I’d put in the slow-cooker with the gravy.
This, I think, helped me enjoy the meal so much more. A had a bit of success with this one—worth all the faffing about and time it took to get it made. The pork Shoulder steaks were tasty, well, everything was, really. I put some butter on them and the potatoes. The Jenny-supplied lemon mousse went down smoothly afterwards, with some home-made spring water, mixed with a drop of orange cordial. Flavour Rating: 8.7/10!
I got the legs and feet up on the swivel chair. I would have used the £300, second-hand, c1968, recliner, but of course, this no longer works, after Brother-in-Law Pete broke it playing with the controls when I was in hospital as he stole my valuables while flat sitting. Hehehe!

The sphygmomanometer results were the best for ages! SYS 136, DIA 64, Pulse 80, and the body temperature was just showing up as low. (It does that, it goes from the reading to high or low, when I am insensate and not quick enough to get it out of my ear-hole to have a look, Hehe!) Ah, well!

I cleared up the mess and went to make another mug of tea. I got the pork shoulder steaks, with new potatoes in the crockpot cooking. I added sea salt, Light Soy sauce, some pork gravy granules, and seasoning. (Too much methinks?)
ending, and my EQ backed me up.
The shaving had a few clangers involved. Cuts were in fashion this morning. Several of them, but every one of them was tiny, yet bled a lot more than usual.

When I nipped onto the balcony to see if the chaps had departed, I took a snap through the window of the end of Chestnut Walk. I didn’t want to risk injury opening the lethal metal spring clip window again. No, that’s wrong. That window is just impossible to open, too tight. The maintenance men tried for me five months or so ago, a
nd they couldn’t do it. It was when they came to look at the plaster breaking up on the ceiling of the balcony. Naturally, they have not been back.
make it down in time to catch the mobile shop? Dang, dang, dang… Dang! Hehehe!
Luckily, it was a few minutes late in coming. It was nice to have someone to natter to, even from a safe-distancing way away.
We got up to the flats, and Josie held the door open for me to get in with the trolley, bless! I got in with the bits bought – £6 something for these. The apples were of particular interest. The label read, Product of France.
A few minutes later, and the fodder arrived. The chap put the carriers in the hallway for me, I thanked him, slipped him a can of G&T, and took them through to the kitchen and stored them away.
I got the stuff put away, and got the meal served up. At least this turned out alright. Made even tastier with the two Sourdough muffins dipped in the gravy! A stew of sorts. Onions, mushrooms, pork shoulder, all overseasoned with Soy sauce, Balsamic vinegar, tasty juices, canned potatoes and garden peas. Flavour Rating: 7/10.

Took the medications, and remembering yesterdays nightmare Accifauxpa, I very carefully, nervously made a brew of Glengettie Gold tea. I managed it without any further dropsies, scolding of my body parts, or injury! Phew!
Waiting for it to brew, I took a shot of the morning view. Then, imbibed the morning medications, and back to the wet room for another wee-wee. Which was of the same VSWAO mode as the first one was!
I got the Health Checks done. The SYS had come down at last. The earhole temperature of 64°f seemed fine enough.
I sorted out the waste bags. Five small bags were taken to the waste chute, and the gigantic blue recycling bag had some stuff added to it. Far too big for the minuscule opening in the chute, so I can take it down to the caretaker’s room in the morning.
He put the good through in the hall for me, I slipped him a can of G&T, then got the bags into the kitchen to sort through them.

do. Kitchen towels, potatoes etc. Next bag, endless cakes?
Concentrated on making the nosh… carefully, not taking any risks.
But for any proper sleep, my Sweet Morpheous, I had to wait for hours!
Eventually, I went to make a brew of Glengettie tea, and the dying sun put in a surprise visit.

I noticed the stomach in the shaving mirror, with the Enoxaparin needle marks scattered about. It looked quite artistic, I thought. Hehehe! I changed the PPs again, thanking heaven for my friend Michael who supplied me with them. Cheers mate!
I got the kettle on, as the sun tried to come out from behind the blocks of flats. The red sky that soon disappeared looked so pretty and beautiful.
hole thermometer, olive oil, Germolene, and the tablets. No need for the Enoxaparin hypodermic needles now that the INR level has risen.
too high undoubtedly? DIA and the Pulse seemed alright, though? I’ll do an extra check, later on, to see if it’s dropped any. Perhaps the lack of sleep and frustration of all the wee-weeing overnight, might have affected it? Oh, dearie me! At least the body temperature came out alright, at 35.7°c.
I took a blind-snap of below, on Chestnut Walk. Two parking spaces free? Disabled ones?
ache started, and this meant an urgent hobble to the wet room to utilise the Porcelain Throne!
I washed and went to make a brew of Thompson Punjana tea. The skies had gone darker, the sun had given up, and a little light drizzle had just started to fall. Maybe the Yellow
Then on CorelDrawing to get some graphics done. And this time, I must get some done! I managed a few, then went to do the health Checks again. A bit of a surprise on the first try, it seems I’m dead and didn’t know it.
I tried again and got these result on the right. Much better than the first test I did today.
I got the kettle up first as the electrics would be dangerous all wet, and managed to spill some hot water down my bulbous stomach and on the left foot!

I got the meal served up. By this time, I had resigned myself to the accident, realising that the situation is not going to improve, only get worse. Thus, I enjoyed eating up all of the fodder. Skinless sausages, new potatoes, garden peas, onions and seedless grapes. A pot of lemon yoghourt, a jam tart and some fresh orange juice. A flavour-rating of 7/10 was given.
I remember washing the pots and taking this photo. It seemed to show localised showers falling in the distance.
on the Ottoman, and empty, so I assume I did take the evening doses.

03:30hrs: I woke up, requiring the traditional wee-wee. But for some reason, the Porcelain Throne was not needed.
Through the unwanted and unliked new kitchen, my favourite room, window. (Hahaha!) I tried to take a photo of the morning view.
I must find time to sort out the medicine drawers. The health Check results were much better this morning, apart from the temperature, at 61.8°f, low I think. The SYS, Dia and Pulse all looked well within the range permitted for a grumpy old fogey?
I went to make another brew, feeling guilty, I haven’t got the ablutions done yet. Scallywag!

01:30hrs: I came back to semi-life, immediately thinking to myself, ‘Well, that’s a bonus”Hahaha!
The feet were hurting so much again. However, they didn’t look too bad when I took this snap of them. I prayed I would not have another toe-stubbing, though! Hehe!
Got the kettle on, and the Health Checks were done. The results were a lot better than yesterdays. Sys had come down from 177 to 158. The temperature showed as just ‘Low’. Took the medications with some spring water, and made a mug of Assam tea.
Ah, that reminds me, I’ve some Cashew nuts coming today via Amazon! I’ll check the tracker, now. Pretty close, then, ETA 11:15 > 13:50hrs.
I had an email from Jenny. Sent one back and phoned her, she will come to collect the tissues and milk and leave money through the letterbox. I put out the carriers for her. The wonderful lady of Merit picked them up minutes later, rang the chimes and put the money through the letter-box. She’s helping so many people. She used to work helping Stroke victims a long time ago and understands the problems. She’s still at it long after retirement. Bless Her Cotton Socks ♥.
The innards have settled down a bit now. I had a check on the latest Corovavirus figures.
I was so tired now, I threw some chicken, took the mushrooms from the crockpot and tomatoes on a plate, and buttered two wholemeal rolls. It was a plain, unattractive, unappetising meal, but enough for me for now. So, weary!
I had to return to the kitchen again, to make sure that I’d not left the taps running, stove on, fridge door open and had closed the windows properly shut.

03:35hrs: I woke, and almost automatically heaved my massive, ponderosity of a stomached torso, free of the recliner. It all went so well? Well, apart from it taking a while for the brain to join with my volumingargantuan body into activity.
As I made my way hobblingly to the wet room for an SWWW (Sprinkly-Weak-Wee-Wee), I noticed that Arthur Itis’s knees, were again not very hurtful, just remarkably stiff, and lumpy. The feet and uncut toenails were still painful.
points wiped with antiseptic, and off to the kitchen.
The sphygmomanometer worked on the first try. The results were okay. The Sys was a tad high, but it’s been much higher in the last week. The thermometer gave me a real reading this time, 68.5°.
The morning had brightened up! The sky was cloudless, which means something, but I can’t remember what it is. (Haha!)

Grumbles and silently swore a little, then back to the computer. Then I went on the WordPress Reader section. Later on Winwood Heights and TFZer Facebooking.
I went on CorelDraw to make up some much-needed graphics. After an hour or so, and one graphics being done, I went to make a brew of Thompsons Punjana tea. I reckon that Thompsons tastes even better when drunk from this particular mug. No idea why, though.
An early nosh was prepared. Fries, Frankfurters, crispy onions, potato salad, tomatoes, and a few left-over new potatoes. Lemon mousse, and an apple pie.
I thanked the lady, rang off, and went to take the Warfarin and inject the Enoxaparin. A bit dodgy on my feet.

I settled back into the c1968, sickenly beige coloured recliner. And got my feet up, to air and ease the cruelly uncut Howard Hughes style toenails.
The deep vein Arterial Thrombosis, Spider veins, and spider veins were coming out to play again.
