Welsh: Dydd Llun 10fed Mehefin 2019
01:40hrs. A distracting night of sleeping-waking repeatedly and regularly for a wee-wee! It looks like the infection is coming back. The evacuations are looking pale yellow, and are becoming more frequent again, it seems. Not surprisingly, I needed another one.
So after rising from the sometimes downright dangerous £300, second-hand, rickety, gungy-beige, c1968, working-and-then-not-working recliner, and gaining my balance, appreciating there was far less pain from the stubbed toe, I was off to the WC, taking the almost full EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket) with me for emptying and sanitisationing.
The fingers played up at the same time, and I ended up making a right and glorious mess of the kitchen and myself!
Blow the waist, got soaked as the hands lost a grip on the bowl. The good bt is the protectin pants kept most of the water out, but unfortunately, it dribbled down the trousers and onto the feet then floor to join the tidal-wave I was already sloshing about in! Cleaning things up was a painful affair, but I got it done eventually. Then dried myself out and changed clothing. I got on with sorting out and resumed the hand washing duties.
I think that with the whole body looking so anaemic and pale ever since the stroke, made it come across as being something more alarming to me?
However, a few minutes later, it had started to transmogrify back to its regular pastiness and off-whiteness. Hehe!
Perhaps the mixture of Wilko liquid soapflakes and fabric softener caused the colouration?
I got the emergency bucket disinfected and in position for easy access, near the computer. Used it for an SSPWW (Short-Sprinkly-Painful-Wee-wee) again a little yellowish.
On the computer to update the Sunday post.
I hadn’t got far, and it was hard work with the finger-end-dancing.
I eventually, three months later it felt like, oh, and four wee-wees then, I got the update completed! Sent it off to WordPress, but, as I say, it took sooo long to do!
I had a comment come in from my American cyber-pal, Tim. He mentioned the health checks readings and how good they were.
This made me realised I had not done the health checks, so I got them done. They looked okay to me, Sys 167, Dia 78, Pulse 83 and Temperature of 35.8°c.
The coughing and sneezing began again, out of the thin? No accounting for it.
I put some photographs on my Pinterest site. I then got on with starting this post off.
The stubbed toe look a lot better, but various back-up stubs during that on the three-wheeled-walker ensured it was still painful! Hehehe!
Got things ready, and set out to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin. I hopefully will see Hauptsturmführeress Warden Deana, and ask her if she would kindly fill in the Questionnaire about the Nottingham ‘On Call’ service I used, for help when I had the stroke, for me. And explain my writing problems with the electrification of the fingers and shakes, are making my handwriting almost unreadable. To me, it was as well!
Gruppenführeress and Weekend ‘Tatler’ Model Deana, was in the office, and kindly, she filled in the form for me. I trotted over the road to the Post Box and got it in.
Then returned to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Holding cells. Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic Area. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents portacabin. Some strangers were having a meeting there, and it was hard to find a seat. Glad I did though, I had a friendly chat with Angela, Roy, and Welsh William. When it came to going out for the bus, a right gang of residents were gathered. Hehe! Most of them got on the outbound bus. Those that went on the inbound one had a collection (including me), of trolleys and walkers. So, I
I got off with the others, in town on Upper Parliament Street. I called into Wilko store and bought some more liquid soapflakes, softener to replace the one that split open in the Accifauxpas early on. Humph!
I felt a smidge guilty in passing him by, but one doesn’t know what to do for best in these situations. If someone is selling the Big Issue, at least they are trying to improve themselves. Poor devils or con-men?
But who am I
The large store on the corner of Upper Parliament Street and Clinton Street that used to be a John Collier Tailors, (Remember their TV ditty? “♫John Collier, John Collier, the window to watch! ♫” Next it was a Burtons Tailors, I assume when they bought out the previous occupant. Many shops have occupied it since then, but all have failed. So, it’s no surprise they are struggling to get anyone interested.
The limp down Clinton Street West brought many photo opportunities for me.
I got so far down, and glanced at my new-to-me second-hand “£2 wristwatch, with its £10 strap replacement, Hahaha! I realised I didn’t have time to g to the Marks & Spencer Food Hall in search of some Californian Sourdough bread
So, I nipped back along South Parade near the tram station, and to the other Poundland store on Fletcher Gate… No, that should be, on Wheeler Gate. Tsk! But they had no Pork Farms pies either. But, I still ended up with a dirty-great load of stuff to add to the Wilko products already in the trolley. I ended up filling the shoulder bag too! Bleach, Payne’s chocolate brazil misshapes, Dettol lavender antiseptic disinfectant at £2 a bottle (Three pounds a bottle at Morrisons), so I got three of them. I certainly overdid it. A lady at the checkout helped me pack the bags while giving me a look like it was saying, “The poor pitiful old fool!” Huh, I know, I deserved it, too!
I got a bit wet on the trip, but once under the bus shelter, it was dry enough. I took a shot of the Council House Dome, encapsulating some buses on Queen Streer. Encapsulating? Is that the right word? I’ll check it out… Yes, that’s the word. Smug-Mode-Engaged!
After a bit of a farce trying to get in the lift, I got up and in the flat. The first thing, a wee-wee. Then out to fetch the trolley and bag inside. Put the stuff away, and got the kettle on. Readied the evening medications for later, on the Ottoman. Another wee-wee, it still looked on the yellow side to me?
Made a start updating this post and getting the pictures sorted out.
I stopped to phone Sister Jane. I wanted to know how she was going on with her poorly toe and the operation. I totally forgot about it as we nattered on about this and that.
Back to the blogging, and I recognised I had not asked Jane about her toe! I rang her again and inquired of her toe. Well, after what her surgeon said to her, I agree with her decision not to have it done. After the operation, which will hurt, she will be limping for at least a year, possibly two! I got the idea he was
I pressed on with the blog for several hours. The rain kept pouring, then suddenly lessened.
I got the chips in the oven, and the porks slices readied. Then I did some more work on this Inchcock Today.
I then had a nip put on the balcony to take a photograph. The petrichor smell after the rain
Nearly all of the balconies in the shot, have been decorated and adorned now. No doubt, an apartment with a female tenant in the flat! Hehe! Only joking!
I took a picture of one of the balconies of a man at leisure, peace, and having an idle-moment. Jealous mode adopted! Hehehe!
My EQ told me this pleasant scene proves that he does not have housework, ironing, and no laundry to do. No walking stick. No, medical appointments, no physio exercises to do, his balcony does not leak like what mine does, I don’t see any medication pots. Above all, there will be a lady living in the flat. Haha! Jealous Mode still in use!
I got the no
I just know I’m putting weight back on, and am a touch wee’d-off with myself now!
I got settled, took the medications and watched some TV… Zzzz!
