Welsh: Dydd Mercher 27ain Ionawr 2021

02:00hrs: I woke wearily, amazed at having slept for five hours straight! I still felt weary and may have stayed where I was, like a slugabed, were it not for needing a wee-wee. Which brought on concerns about Little Inchies fungal lesion, what condition it will be in. Signs were favourable, though, no stinging at the moment! I didn’t use the nocturnal wee-wee bucket but went off to the wet room to take the wee. Just if there was any bleeding to be sorted out.

It was an SSAO (Sprinkly-Spraying-All-Over) mode affair. There had been some bleeding, but the PPs showed me it was not fresh, so that was a little cheering. It took me a long while to clean up the sprinkly splashes left on the floor, WC, and me! Washed up, and made my way to the kitchenette, and got the kettle on. Took the morning medications, and made the brew of Glengettie. I seemed to be plodding along, and the brain was constantly catching up with me!  Things, actions and thoughts seemed to be on auto-pilot? No there way of putting it really?

With getting up so late, and the Iceland order arriving early, I didn’t have much time to update the diary. I got the Health Checks done first. The Chinese made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, showed a slightly higher reading, of 37.0°c.

The Boots branded Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, had a high SYS of 185. However, it’s done this before occasionally, I may try retaking the BP later, just to be on the safe side. That’s if I have time and remember to!

Onto the computer, and grafted away like a good un, getting the updating sorted out. Not a lot of work needed, which was a good thing, because nasty, naughty Niccodemus’s Neurotransmitters were playing up, in concert with SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley). Making it a slow process. I got the blog finished and sent off to WordPress.

Emailed the link, did some Facebooking, and visited the comments section. Many breaks for multiple wee-wees were taken. Every one of the same SSAO type and all was followed frustratingly by excessive PMAD (Post-Micturition-After-Dribbling), which cost me a lot of time.

Off to get the Ablutions done. The knees were looking fine this morning, very angelic. Haha!

The teeth and shaving once again went blood-free! Yee-Haa!

The feet were aching a lot on the soles. But the scratch from falling off of the step-ladder seemed to be clearing swiftly off into the ether.

The old ankle ulcer markings had changed a little, no worse, just spread out a bit more up the leg.

I was medicating things, and thinking of going to the kitchen to make a brew, and the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived!

It was another victory for Constipation Konrad over Trotsky Terence in the DESB (Daily-Evacuation-Stakes-Battle). No bleeding from the rear-end nor the fungal lesion, the evacuated product was not messy, the meat-balls were far larger this morning; thus, the session was longer and a tad more painful. Overall, not too bad, I’ve had plenty of worse ones.

The applications of the medications were the central bothersome aspect. The Phorpain gelling of Cartilage Cathy, the applying ointment on the fungal lesion, and Harold Haemorrhoids Germoleneing were the worst.

A silver lining though; I found the dye markers that I couldn’t find the other day with me taking the photographs on the right. I’d taken them into the wet room, to touch up the scratches on the hated sock-glide. They were probably caused by my falling off it, throwing it at the wall, or landing on it when I took a tumble. Hehehe!

I took a photo from the thick-framed, light and view-blocking, impossible to get at to clean, designed especially for old folk by some misanthrope of an old person’s hating architect, window. As I was closing the window, the rain started to fall as if someone had suddenly turned on a tap. A bit of good fortune there with my timing, for once!

A minute or so later, and the Iceland delivery man calleth with the fodder replenishing foods. He came in the flat’s lobby, letting the door bang-to behind him. And kindly threw the carrier bags all over the floor for me.

I thanked him, slipped him a can of plonk, and off he went letting the door slam again behind him. I’m hoping he didn’t wake anyone up, cause it was about 06:30hrs at the time. Oh, dear, I fear! I took the things through to the kitchen.

The fridge was chocker blocker now! My concern was the freezer. With Iceland sending some bread, I had to get the bread and Minced Beef in there, somehow or other!

I arranged with Jenny, to buy the four packs to get the special price, and we will split them between us, two each.

I had a heck of a job getting them all in. I had to throw some bits out to make room, but nowt I was keen on anyway, so nae bother.

I’ll take them down at a reasonable time, to Jenny, Nora and Frank’s pad.

I got some of the mince into the crock-pot to make more room in the freezer. I pondered over how to go about making the Chilli Con Carne.

I added the last of the much-loved baby leeks to the pot. They are expensive to buy, but so special tasting. Then I added some anchovy Squid sauce and BBQ salt, and two oxo cubes, along with some gravy granules, and some chilli powder.

Gave it a good stirring up, and left it on a low setting.

I hope it comes out alright. I can add the last of the yellow capsicums later on.

I checked that the freezer was not too overloaded, and then got back on the computer; I’ve a lot to catch up on with the diary now.

The wee-wees are getting a little stronger now, not painful, but an effort to pass, though. The PMAD (Post-Micturition-After-Dribbling), still follows each visit. Tsk!

I gave Jenny a call to see if it was alright for me to take the mince down to her.

Got through, and she okayed me taking the meat down to her. So, I got the mince from the fridge into a carrier, and I set off done in the lift to Jenny & Franks apartment. I took the waste bag box on the trolley with me, to take to the chute on the way down or up Which I forgot all about and brought back to the flat with me, Tsk! I got down nae bother and left the bag outside Jen’s flat, she’s left the money in an envelope on the door.

As mentioned earlier, I came back to the late and was putting the trolley-guide in the corner of the hallway, and realised it still had the waste bags in it! Wot a Plonka! I got the waste down the chute, and was on the way back, without any hassle, Whoopsies, Accifauxpas or injuries. I nearly went into a Smug-mode, but decided it would not be wise so early in the day, Haha!

I don’t know how I hadn’t noticed before, but the end wall looked more like it had been graffitied than painted?

I got inside and took another wee-wee, they were all the same up to now, repetitive, and an effort, but not painful at all, followed by the PMAD. Humph!

Made a brew of Glengettie and tried to change the size of the pictures on the Canon camera. But could find no option to do so? I took a photo leftwards, from the computer chair. I’d changed the ratio, hoping the size would change down with it, but, nope! Another failure. I’m very good at failing, you know! Somewhat of a doyen! Hey-ho!

I thought I’d try to make a Sainsbury’s order for next week; if any slots are available, that is. I managed to get one in for next Wednesday for 07:00 > 08:00hrs.

The weariness is dawning again. Then again. I’ve been a busy little bee this morning, so it’s to be expected, methinks.

Had a look at the local YourArea newsletter thingy. The latest Coronavirus figures are looking a bit better… I think.

Covid vaccination appointments at Forest Recreation Ground cancelled due to ‘water issue’: The Nottingham and Shire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said the site at the Forest Park and Ride, just off Gregory Boulevard, had to be closed with short notice on the evening of Tuesday, January 26th. It had only just opened over the weekend on Saturday, January 23. Speaking of the closure in a tweet at 7pm, a spokesperson for the CCG said: “Forest Recreation Ground vaccination site has had to close due to a water issue. All appointments for this evening have been cancelled.” Well, fancy that!

I’ll check the minced beef and veg in the crock-pot. It’s been on for over three hours, but not ready yet. I’ll keep an eye on it, I’m feeling a smidge peckish, too!

It’s no good, I’ve got to sit down and see how things go – not to sleep I hope with the mince cooking. Sat quietly for a while, then went to check the mince, ready now. Got the meal served up.

I was not impressed with the beef at all. I’ve lost the photograph I took of the meal. Flavour Rating: 5/10. I may have overcooked it?

I settled down, took the evening medications, and watched two old ‘Tales of the unexpected on channel 11. After staying awake all the way through the two programmes, I drifted of to sleep. Another evil regularly waking up with a start night.

01:30hrs: The flipping ‘Hum’ was giving it some when I stirred back into imitation life. I’d managed about three hours, so it could have been worse – I stayed up late (for me) to watch a football match on the telly. I wasn’t stood on the TV, you understand! Hahaha!

I dismounted from the c1968 recliner, caught my balance, and utilised the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), taking a  UTD (Unwilling-Trickling-Dribbling) variety wee-wee, that the same as yesterdays first effort, had a lot of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) I had to wait for ages to finish. The main event, and the after-dribble together, would probably not have filled two eggcups! Taking a wee-wee, without wonderous expectations and puzzling results, are the norm now. Normal bodily functions are quondam. One visit this happens, the next it’s a painful torrent then, a trickling marathon... talk about variety!

I tackled the Health Checks next. Starting with the Boots Sphygmomanometer. That is manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China. SYS and dia are a bit high again, Tsk!

The made-in Hong Kong, Chinese Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, showed another in the green reading, of 36.5°c.

Then as I put the kettle on, I espied the moon was out, high in the sky.

I did my best to get a decent photo of it. But had little success at it. I tried taking it in various limited mode available on the little Canon camera, but Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters stopped me every time!

I hung out of the light & view-blocking, thick-framed kitchen window, and took several blind shots because if I’d leant out any further to see what I was photographing, I might have ended up out on the Chestnut Walk myself. Hehehe! I wasn’t too displeased with the second picture.

I took the medications, and I got the computer going to update yesterday’s blog. Apart from some Nicodemus failures making things difficult typing wise, the other ailments were all so good!

Posted it off, went on the WordPress Reader section, comments and Pinterested a few shots. Then went on Facebooking, unsure if anyone was getting the posts or not.

As I readied myself to sort the Calendars, must, don’t want, have-to and belated checks, I noticed how well the bruise near the knuckle was healing. A couple of new scratches had appeared on the wrist and back of the hand? Nowt even approaching serious, though.

The Google Calendar was working again, why it stopped beats me. A busy week ahead already.

I got sidetracked and went on the BBC Sports site to see all of the football results. I had a funny thought, as I read about this result on the right. Manager of Genoa to news reporter: “An easy win, it was Genoa bother at all!” I’m losing it again.

Off to get the Ablutions done early, with the Iceland and Amazon-Morrison being due to arrive first thing.

Oh, and the Snyder’s Ham Mustard and Onion broken Pretzel pieces. At least I think they are pretzels? Huh! I’ve just seen Pretzel Pieces on this photo. Quick, I am not – Keen, not a lot, – Saccades is the blot – I think my brain is shot!

As I got inside the wet room, and it couldn’t have been better timed, even if unplanned, there I was less than two feet away from the Porcelain Throne… when the evacuation began of its own accord! I whipped down the jammie-bottoms and PPs, and plonked my overly-stomached body down on the seat without a second to spare! Harold’s Haemorrhoids paid the price with pain! Then, I wondered if the torpedo would ever end… ‘Blimus I thought’, this whale will block up the whole system!

To my utter amazement, there was only the tiniest bit of bleeding, no mess, and the dumped dollop disappeared from view with one flush! I’m using up all my good luck for the day, I think! Possible the week!

I got the teeth done, again without any undue pain from the molars!

The shaving resulted in only two tiny-little hardly-worth mentioning nicks!

The medicationalisationing, even Cartilage Cathy and Harolds Haemorrhoids were nowhere near as painful as they usually would be!

The drying and freshening up went fine!

I think I must have unknowingly adopted a self-satisfied Smug-Mode because…

As I swanked out of the room to get dressed, I had my worst ever collision with the door frame! I nearly knocked myself backwards! But I stayed on my feet.

I think that Doctor Flewitt could be spot on when he suggested that DCE Developmental Coordination Disorder, or dyspraxia, could be affecting me. Course since then, the Peripheral Neuropathy and Stroke have not helped any, I can’t blame the Diabetes as well. Hehe! (Can I?)

Anyroad-up; by the time,e I regained my balance and finished swearing and spitting, BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) and Reflux Roger were both going full-tilt at the Inchcock pain-offering department.

The bottom lip protruded and wriggled a smidge. Well, it’s always worse when something like this happens after a run of good luck, as the ablutions going so well!

I got the blue Made in Myanmar (Burmese), zip-up jacket on, to fend off the cold, and did the handwashing of the made in China, Cedar Wood Hollow-out Round Neck Acrylic Sweater. I got it done rung and hung!

The moon was tormenting me to try again to get a decent photographicalisation of it. I had three or four tries, but BPB had been joined by SSS Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley in assaulting me on and off, more on than off! Another fine mess of things made, this was the best one I could manage. Sorry about that!

Back to the computer and started, well I opened it, this blog, and the Intercom burst forth and flashed.

It was the Iceland man who cometh (Hehe!) with six bags of nosh for me. He gently threw them down into the hallway for me.

He seemed in a rush, but I insisted on his having a can of Vodka mixer as a thank you. Bade him good luck and to take care in the snow and ice, off he popped.

I heaved the bags into the kitchen, and as I was doing so, I got a message on mobile. I investigated it, and in doing so get another message come in. The first one from Iceland informed me of just two items unavailable on this order. Only two? That was an improvement, thanks, Iceland.

The second was from either Morrisons or Amazon, ah! Amazon indicating the tracker code or address, or whatever you call it.

I got the things stored away, and came across a packet of what should have been fresh Chilli Chicken breast slices, but was Tikka Chicken Breast slices.

Possibly (or more likely) an error on my behalf, I expect. But the packet was frozen solid? Had only three days Eat-before date on the front.

Can I safely eat it when it’s been defrosted? All the writing on the packet indicated it was a fresh (Not Frozen) product? Anyone know, please tell me, thanks.

I got the mushrooms in the slow-cooker with some leeks, potatoes. Added some sea-salt and vegetable Oxo cubes, on a low setting. As I was putting them in, I wasn’t really concentrating, I do a lot that, not concentrating lately, and realised that the ‘fresh’ button mushrooms were also frozen! What’s going on?

Time for a rest, at last, made a brew of Glengettie.

The morning hue was blue, and with the snow covering photographing it I just had to do.

I went out into the balcony to try and get some better shots to view.

The windows would not open at all, they were frozen through! So, back to the kitchenette to see what I could view.

Opened the icicled frosty window, and knocked down yesterdays hand-washing, hanging from the broken, no longer working curtain rails. Picking them up, just annoyed BPB and CC Cathy’s Cartilage.

The sky had now got a tinge of pink on the horizon, compared to ten minutes ago. Beautiful! So worthy of photographing. Glad I did, it didn’t last for long.

I gathered the waste bins in the box on top of the trolley-guide, then collected the glass and jars for recycling. And pondered over what to do if Morrisons do have the loaves of bread and cobs that I have ordered? There was not enough room in the freezer to put them into it? After musing over this predicament for a while, I decided to get rid of some foods from the freezer, as the bread is important (If they arrive) of course.

I rang Caretaker Robert to see if he had a freezer on sight, he said no. Told me to ring Deana, she has one and might have room to take the food. So, I did! They can take some, but she was uncertain if the load I was freeing might be too much. If so, they can be given away to someone in the flats to make use of. She said she would come and collect them later.

I got back on updating this post at long last, but did none of it, as the Amazon shopper sent a message telling me he would be here in minutes! I got myself into a bit of a flap now! Would the driver know where I was? If I went down to take the rubbish to the bins, would I miss the driver’s arrival? I risked getting down to meet him straight away.

Down in the lift ASAP, and met Robert again. The foyer is still being worked in, and of course no heating. I took the bottles out to the glass bin. And the ice nearly had me over, the walking stick was a hindrance in the snow and ice more than an aid.

The shopper man arrived when I was going back inside (Great timing!)

Up we went to the flat, and the chap popped the bags inside the door for me, then need proof of my age. A bit humorous at my age, being asked if I was eighteen, I was 58 years ago! Hehehe!

I took the things through to the kitchen, and I found all the loaves of bread etc. had been delivered! I now needed to make room in the freezer properly. I decided to take the waste bags to the chute, then I loaded the two big carriers onto the box, and decided to take it to Winwood court.

I didn’t take the camera with me, I so wish I had, though. I got out, and into the snow and ice, the trolley got stuck, the trolley and box toppled over as I tried to get it back on course… A reet mess I was in! I

I was rescued by Dean! Humph! I did feel a fool! She took the carriers and walked me back to the flats. Not happy at my trying to walk out in this weather! ♥ Oh, dearie me!

I got back indoors, and I made sure the bread all fitted properly in the freezer. Just! Despite the cock-ups and wrong decisions that I’d made, I now felt calmer and more at ease with things. Having some bread in helped! I plan to make some ham sarnies later, best butter, tomatoes the mushroom and potatoes with them, and a dessert of my choice, I now have a choice of four, different ones in stock. Smug-Mode-Adopted!

Oh, I forgot, Jane rang while I was sorting the freezer out, but she gave up[ trying to get my attention. I thought I’d ring her back, so I did! We had a great natter and chinwag, Pete was doing well. Things were getting brighter… she mentioned something, that reminded me, I had to ring the Doctors about the possibility of a subcutaneous Coronavirus injection. Rudely I said I’d email them now, while it was fresh in my lapsidasicle mind. She understood what I was saying, bless her. ♥

I made up an email, which took me a long time to get how I wanted it to sound. I was moderately happy with it, and I sent it off.

The weariness began to fall on me now. I will have to wait until the Amazon delivered Pretzels arrive before getting anything to eat, else I may fall asleep while waiting. Best laid plans, eh?

My mind is vagarious, to say the least, but an iota of contentment is lingering in there somewhere.

I must stay awake. He says with a smile.

The Amazon ETA for the Pretzels is getting later & later. This is not doing my temper, faith, prospects of staying awake, or suicidal tendencies any good at all! The Amazon tracker, the lorry, hasn’t moved fro over two hours? Still, with the weather, it can’t be helped!

I had a look at the local YourArea Emagazine. Coronavirus figures are not good, but better than of late, fingers crossed in hopes.

The Amazon lorry is close now! Five drops away, the Amazon tracker now says. Belated hope for nosh and sleep yet. Hehehe!

I went down to the front door as the Amazon tracker turned to a local road view and saw the van was outside the flats! On the way out of the door to go down, the chap arrived with the box of Pretzel pieces. I slipped him a can of Vodka and lemonade by way of thanking him, and he shot off, with my masked voice thanking him again.

I opened the box and took a packet out, and put them in a plastic lidded pot, ready to try out after eating. They were apparently a right mix of bit, from dust to some chunks from different products that had broken off during the cooking process, I resisted nibbling any yet.

I opened a 2-litre bottle of spring water, had a good guzzle, and added some orange cordial to the bottle, just a drop, and tool it into the main junk/computer room, for my nocturnal guzzling.

I got the nosh served up, snd it turned out a cracking decent one. A good mix, fancy cheese blocks, Gorgeous pork and mushroom pate, potatoes, mushrooms (not so good), chicken Tikka, mini caramelised onion pork pies, tomatoes (Morrocan, pretty tasteless), some thin-sliced Milk Roll buttered bread, and a lemon dessert, the pot of Pretzels on the ottoman. The mushrooms and tomatoes let it down, but still a taste rating of 7/10.

It was now five hours beyond my usual head-down time. I got the pots washed, and settled to watch a documentary about, erm… what was it? Not that it matters much. Ah, it was Nightmare Kitchens!

I started nibbling the Snyders of Hanover honey mustard & onion pretzel pieces – delicious! In fact, Grrreat!

I lasted a few minutes watching the programme and nodded of in sweet bliss. Unfortunately, I kept making up so often I wondered what the heck was happening? Each time I shot awake, I pondered, and got back to sleep easily enough? Only for it happen again repeatedly. So aggravating!

Innavigable Inchcocks Diary, Sunday 24th January 2021

Sunday 24th January 2021

Welsh: Dydd Sul 24ain Ionawr 2021

00:15hrs: I woke to the smell of burnt food yesterday when the pastie exploded in the oven! Tsk!

As I was fumbling my way out of the second-hand, c1968, recliner, the noise from the damned ‘Hum’ began to get on my wick already! When up and caught my balance, the almost regulatory visit to the bucket was needed. It turned out to be another unwilling, reluctant wee-wee, but gallons of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) to cope with. Hey-Ho!

I took the medications (Last nights that I’d forgotten), made a mug of Glengettie, and I remembered the Sainsbury order was due today, twixt 06:30 > 07:30hrs. My EQ gave me a laugh! No words, hints or indications. Hmm!

Then got on with the updating of yesterdays diary. It took me over four hours! Due to the ailments, I found it hard to keep on kilter, concentrate and many errors, and much time pondering why I cannot remember things. This was not good, it felt a smidge like my brain was full and needed a good defragging.

Still, I got there in the end, and I posted the blog off to WordPress. Emailed the link, Pinterested a couple of photos. Visited the WordPress Reader section, and then on with Facebooking. It appears I have been banned for 30 days. Something I posted did not meet their terms and conditions. Well, it had to happen!

I had a good read of the WP comments and answered them all, well, both. Josie’s meal to do later, not sure I’ll be up to it, but I anticipate feeling better later on.

I had a stand-up bath of sorts. All went well. Toothache Thomas was kind to me. Only one little nick shaving, no more than six dropsies, no Balance-Loss-Leslie or Dizzy Dennis. BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) and SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) were the only ailments really active. Even Harold’s Haemorrhoids were calmish.

As I was filling the sink ready to get the handwashing sorted out, I think I must have had a visit from the Mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghost, succubuses, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, or the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind? And they were arriving up the sink waste-pipe! No idea what caused the cloudiness and plug jumping out?

I cleared the blockage with Free-It liquid and got the clothes in the sink to soak.

Got the Health Checks done. Pleased again with the temperature, it was in the green. Then got the Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer. It might be sneaking back up, but still. It’s been low for a few days now.

I had a bit of job with the handwashing. Turkish made Socks, Korean jammie-bottoms and the manufactured in Myanmar (Burmese), zip-up jacket. I think I spent longer cleaning up[ the spilt water than dong the handwashing! Still, all is done, wrung and hung up drying now.

Back to the computer, and fond an email come from Jenny. She said she had the small crock-pot and would swap it for my too big a one. She also has a kettle I can have. Bless her!

An email came in from Sainsbury’s, no bread being delivered, no substitutes as I opted for not having any. I suppose with it being a Sunday, and so early in the day, I can accept this without moaning. Grumph! Last time when they substituted for my breast, the sent pikelets?!?  Then they sent the wrong size PPs! So, I stopped the substitutes. You, (Well, me), can’t win, can yer? That doesn’t make sense?

So, now I have no bread at all! Not allowed out to go to the shops! So I went on Amazon to see if I was allowed a Morrison delivered by Amazon order again yet. Luckily I was, and I got an order in for tomorrow! Of course, if there is any bread on it is the question. The choice is limited on these Amazon food deliveries, but by gum they are quick! With a hopper collecting and delivering, he might pick betterer substitutes? Or not!

I cleared the rubbish bags out of the box on the walker, to use it for the food coming without carrier bags from Sainsbury’s. (Without any bread too!)

I left them in the hallway corner because it’s far too early to take them yet, to the waste chute.

Off to make a brew, Co-op 99 this time. Not as good as Glengettie, but then again, no other tea I’ve ever tasted is as tasty as the Welsh brew.Took this shot of the morning’s view from the kitchen.

The Sainsbury bloke came at 07:20hrs. He put the things in a box and a carrier for me, nice of him. At least there was no bread to get crushed, although he did manage to squash the cream cake, and break some pretzels for me. I’ve ordered some more from Morrisons for tomorrow – and of course, I’m praying that the bread will come. I’m getting withdrawal symptoms here! Hahaha!

I got the none foods sorted out. Not a lot of them this time!

Just look at the state of this tine of Chilli-Con-Carne they delivered! Swine! Crapheads! Scumballs! Animals! Gits!...

Sorry, I nearly got carried away there! I can’t see any reason for me being sarcastic… Oh, yes, I can!

Sourdough Bread subbed my pikelets? A 90p tin of Chilli subbed with a £2.29 tin!  Leaking bottles delivered, and now a crushed health hazard can! Not to mention an order being three hours late, my phoning them and get a recorded message, part-of which said; ‘You can rest assured that it the delivery is delayed for any reason, we will contact you to inform you!’ Eventually, nearly five hours late the order arrived – the van had broken down – but rest assured as I assuredly did, no one contacted me! Still, it can’t be helped! Huh!

I got the waste bags back in and on the trolley-guide.

Do you see those odd-looking things on the left of the top picture? In case you’ve forgotten what they are: They are jackets and coats… You remember, we used to put them on in winter when we went out, before Coronavirus and the lockdown! Hehehe! I think they could do with some moth-balls and freshener on them, it’s that long since I’ve actually worn any! Grumph!

I got the trolley-guide and bags to the waste-Chute room. I was wobbling a bit en route and back to the flat.

Both ankles were hurting, the toes stinging and, for some unknown reason, I was feeling a bit giddy without any cause for feeling a bit giddy! Haha! I’m pleased, nae, proud to report a total lack of injuries, whoopsiedangleplops or Accifauxpas on this little expedition to the rubbish chute. Smug-Mode-Engaged! I think it was because yesterdays head-clouting us still fresh in my mind – there’s not much else in there today!

As if to prove my point about being all confused today, when I got back to the flat, Jenny had been up and left the kettle and crock-pot outside my door for me. I investigated, but I found the slow-cooker was even bigger than the one I was already getting rid of for being too large for me. I rang Jenny to explain. I thanked her, saying I  would return it in a while.

I gathered the crock-pot and added some treats in another bag, and got myself a little lost again as to what I was doing. I can’t multitask nowadays since the stroke. I popped the things down and left them outside Jenny’s door. Came back up to the apartment and got the kettle on.

I made a start prepping the cheesy potatoes feast for Josie. Added some leaks as chives, butter and sea salt with the masses of red Leicester cheese.

I noticed that the carrier with the bar of Frank’s favourite chocolate, and some other bits inside it, meant for Nora and Jenny, was still there on the server tray? What had I done now! I could not find the kettle Jenny had left me. Had I took it back to Jen’s? Had I put it down the waste chute? Oh, dearie me! I popped down with the treats bag, and I returned all confused with myself. I rang Jenny again, but am not sure what we agreed on or said.

To help clear my head, I opened the window to take some photos of the snow.

By gum, it was cold out there!

The light snow was being blown about, and of course, lots came in as the wind changed! (I’m such a lucky so-and-so!)

I had to clean the floor afterwards. Which did not please BPB at all.

Time to get Josie’s meal served up. Some Baby Belles, a can of Pimms, two well in date pots of dessert added to the tray. I tried a spoon or two of the cheesy spuds and even impressed myself, they tasted very morish. Of to Josies, dead on time, as usual, she was going out to the bin.

She just seems to forget every Sunday. Hehehe! Bless Here!

Still, she seemed happy enough with the meal.

I had an extended period on this blog.

Weariness-William arrived. The brain was getting a little muddled, but that is par for the daily routine nowadays.

Got the nosh started; Chillie Con Carne, added leeks, red peppers and garden peas.

Doing an Iceland order, I rang Jenny about the Iceland brand minced beef she said was tasty and not fatty. On the site were five different ones, she soon had me sorted on which one to get. With them being on offer, 4 for £10, she agreed to share them, they are coming on Wednesday.

The snow started flaking again as I prepped the meal. The local lads were out with their sledges, folks walking their dogs in this view I took, took me back reminiscing. Was it really all those years ago when it was me out there, totally unbothered by the weather or health problems?

I found the lost yesterday, bread thins – I’d put them in the medical draw! Aha! I thought, bread to have with the Chillie, Hurrah! I opened the half-pack and found I might have been wrong about the Thins being the ones lost yesterday, after all. They had a ‘Use-By’ date of December the something. So, no bread for the Chillie, then. Humph!

I served up the nosh! One of my best, and tastiest CCC’s ever! I’d added some potatoes with having no bread. It was a smidge too hot pepper-wise, but I really did enjoy this one, a reet-treat! Flavour Rating given was 9/10!

Put the pots to soak in the sink bowl. I got the Heartbeat DVD on again, then as I put the TV on, I realised the BBC showed the Man Utd v Liverpool Cup match, so I watched that instead. Not a good choice; The wrong team won, it made me so late in getting to sleep and ruined my nocturnal rejuvenating rest! As for getting into the land of Nod, Huh!

The mind showed signs of ecdemomania, refusing to stop, rattling on worrying about things at random. Thus getting to sleep proved difficult, by the time I nodded off, it was almost my usual getting up time! Gragglespitgurgle!

Welsh: Dydd Sadwrn 23ain Ionawr 2021

23:50hrs: I woke to Thought Storms that must have been in a dream because they were very active straight away. Fears, concerns, anxious concerns that came and went for ages.

I needed a wee-wee shortly, and after getting IP from the recliner, catching my balance and getting to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), I found it nearly full! Still, there was no rush, things didn’t feel urgent. I took the bucket with me to the wet room, used the WC, for a WDWW (Weak-Dribbling-Wee-Wee) and cleaned and disinfected the bucket. While doing this, I thought I could smell burning, and remembered yesterdays incinerated Chilli-Con-Carne in the pan.

I’d left it soaking, and went to investigate to see if anything was salvageable. Amazingly, the last few bits of fodder came off quickly? And the saucepan was usable again! Made a brew, and took the morning medications.

Going to get the computer on to get the Templates started, and I returned to the wet room, to us the Porcelain Throne. Constipation Konrad was thrashed by Trotsky Terence in this mornings DESB (Daily-Evacuation-Stakes-Battle). What a messy affair! Much refilling of the tank, before the great-dollop of evacuated product, was cleared.

Back to the computer and the now gone cold mug of Glengettie, and made a start on finishing off yesterdays diary. It was hard work again, with interruptions from SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley). Got it done, posted off, and Pinterested a few photos.

I made up a template for today. Then went onto Facebooking catch-up. The WordPress Reader section next and emailed the link.

I then tried to get the advance Templates done. This was even more frustrating, cause Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters kept going off-line, and causing me to make many errors and mistakes, many not noticed at first, and I had to keep going back top check earlier work done. Confusing, innit? I persevered…

Sixteen-hours after getting up. I got the temp[lates finished! I’d cream-crackered now.

The scribbled notes and few photos I took will help me remember bits, in the morning… he says hopefully. It may be a little muddled, though!

I turned off the computer to allow it to cool down a smidge, I went to do the ablutions.

I can’t recall things much because when I got around to updating this, it was 22 hours later. I’ll do me bestest. The knees before and legs after the shower were photographed.

I made a brew of Glengettie and restarted the computer. It might have been a mistake turning it off, cause now the internet was slower than ever, and CorelDraw kept playing up and needed restarting frequently.

Mistakes were being made in the Template creations, and much time was lost going back after finding a mistake to correct it. I expect many cock-ups will still have been missed.

Hours later, I got increasingly frustrated with mu wrongdoings, cocking things up, and forgetting, rechecking… Not good! I went to make another brew and took these photographs of the snow shower. The wind was blowing the light snow in all directions, but the shots I took some through the window, a lot of snow came into the room! Haha!

The templating was returned to, and I persisted for several more hours until the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived. Off I poddled

‘Never, in the field of human ablutionisationing have I had such a massive evacuation!’ Much bleeding.

I opened MS Word to find one I needed from my ‘Future Use’ dictionary, and the bloody layout had changed on its own again!

I lost an hour or more trying to get it back to how I wanted it. But had to make do, as it was beyond me this new layout.

It was a slow slog getting the templates all done. If it wasn’t MS Word, CorelDraw or the Internet being incredibly sluggish, there was problem delaying me all day! It wrangled me so much, Duodenal Donald kicked-off.

The snow fell again. A slight covering and the wind with it was more violent now.

I decided to make another brew and take some more photographs. But was not going to make the same mistake as in the earlier shoot – I took all of these pictures through the window.

I tried using the Nikon camera, but it was beyond salvation.

I’ve not had a good day, really.

Eventually, I got the templates done – I’m too tired to double-check them at the moment. No doubt whatsoever that many errors will be found when I do get around to checking them.

I got a pastie put in the oven warming, and the CCC and meatballs, with added sliced capsicum, in the saucepan, I was determined not to burn it this time.

I returned and turned off the computer. I was wrecked mentally. All the things that went wrong, the time lost, and I didn’t mention the wee-weeing, did I – it was repetitive!

: I heard a thud, or loud, dull plop like sound, that had come from the kitchen area. Panic-Mode-Engaged, I hastened to have a look at what had happened. It had to be something severe or dangerous if I heard the noise without the hearing aids in?

A fresh burning smell welcomed me as I got in the kitchen.

Oh, dearie me! After a few seconds in Sherlock Holmesian Mode, I found that the beef pastie in the oven had exploded! The minced beef, onion, gravy and pastry was glued to the door and all over the stove! Crying was one option! On the bright side, the place smelt like the old roadside cafes used to! Hehehe!

I scraped off as much of the gunk as I could. Then got the Cif oven cleaner spray, and did my best (failing miserably) to get the oven and door cleaned. I even remembered to keep stirring the Chillie-Con-Carne, as I tried to clean the oven, so the saucepan wouldn’t burn!

There was no repeated muttering, spitting out of the terrible parentage-questioning word. Bile growing in the stomach. Depression, or feeling sorry for myself, at all.

I got the other remaining pastie from the fridge then dropped it in the white plastic eating-bowl (dare not use the oven again). Then poured the pan full of CCC over it. Well, another surprise, no sooner had I buried the pie with the CCC, it expanded and came to the top of the mixture, and burst open?!?! My puzzlement knew no bounds!

Then, I went to get the half-packet of brown bread thins, from where I just knew I’d left it… But no, it wasn’t there! I was sure I’d saved it in the bread bin, thinking at the time, how well it had worked out, having some for this feast, and with Sainsbury’s order due in the morning? (Although, of course, they may not send any, or might send a can of Turpentine as one of their infamous substitutes). The search had to be curtailed before the meal got too cold.

Despite the horrible, frustrating, failure-ridden day it’s been, the meal went down a treat! Flavour rating, 8.2/10! I put the basin etc. in the bowl to soak overnight.

I grabbed the next in line ‘Heartbeat’ DVD from the box and got it playing.

I was happily viewing away, and a thought came to me. (ideas do that sometimes, not very often, mind) Did I drop the bread thins down between the chairs last night? Oh, course, I had to get my body manipulated in such a position that I could shine the wind-up torch down into the darkness to look for any signs of the bread… Why, now that I’d eaten the meal is a mystery?

BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) twinged, and has been painful ever since… of course, there was no bread down there!

♫ Fings, ain’t wot they used to be!♫

Welsh: Dydd Gwener 22ain Ionawr 2021

00:15hrs: I woke after a wonderful six-hour plus kip! ☑The headache from yesterdays clout on my head was much easier, although lingering a tad. I couldn’t even feel the lump, and it was not tender to touch. Amazing!

The customary wee-wee demand came along, and I carefully rose from the recliner, caught my balance, and passed a weak, but painful wee-wee in the overnight plastic bucket.

I took the bucket to the wetroom for emptying, cleaning and disinfecting. Doing this, the Porcelain Throne had to be utilised. So, I did;  And to say that I didn’t have a meal last night, I just can’t understand how such an elephantine dollop of the evacuated product came from my innards! So great was the volume, I needed to hand-refill the tank a few times to get it to clear the system. However, it was not gooey or messy at all. ☑ I washed and off to the kitchenette.

The moon was out and seeable for the first time in ages, and I got the Canon (no other camera left now, the other two have given up the ghost, Sob!) to take photos of the aforementioned planet. Possibly my worst three photos ever!  As I took the first one, SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) kicked off just as I was clicking! Tsk! Thus, I have an elongated moon shot, Hehehe!

It’s a shame about the Canon not taking evening, or any dark shots very well.

I made a brew of Glengettie and went to get the Health Checks done.

The BP machine showed another decent (for me) SYS reading of 159, DIA at 76, and Pulse as 81. Very similar to yesterday methinks, but of course, not sure. I’ve noticed that I’ve not sure about things nowadays, and am getting nervous about things that don’t or shouldn’t matter much?

The temperature reading was also a good one at 36.6°c.

To the computer and started to update yesterday’s blog. Which was soon done, in spite of SSS giving some stick. It is not a lot to add to it, just my clouting my head, then falling asleep for six hours. Hehehe!

All finished and posted off. Pinterested shots, then I emailed the link and went on the WordPress Reader section.

I got on CorelDraw, I desperately need some more graphics doing for templates. No one called, messaged, rang the door buzzers or phoned me. I spent five hours doing CorelDrawing, and I got some success. But now the weariness is falling. Tea and took the midday medications.

Had to go for another Porcelain Throne visit. I right bloody affair it was too. I’m not swearing, it was literally bloody. I lost my balance sitting down and plunked on something delicate, and the fungal lesion started bleeding. Another painful cleaning and medicationing to be done.

I went to check on the day and time of the Sainsbury order. And Google Calendar would not open! Huh, I thought I was doing well with the graphics! I search for help with what to do about the Calendar. Plenty of advice, but every one of them I looked at said something like Go to…. and select, make sure you are in ….. before going to options in bi… Do not… I just didn’t understand what they were talking about. So gave up.

Back on CorelDrawing, got a headache now again, damned computers!

Another few hours, and I had to stop, I was mentally all-in!

At least I’d got sp far with the graphics.

No templates were done yet, of course, but that will be my mission in the morning. First thing, I have no choice, I’m out of them now.

Turned off, and got some chilli and meatballs on the cook.

A there began, a / run of bad luck started.

I took longer than planned to save the work on the computer, and a smell drifted in the room… burning!

I’d left the pan of fodder on a high heat setting. Oh, dearie me! I salvaged the eatable stock and got it on the basin.

Got the crap from the bottom of the saucepan removed them as far as I could, strained it, and into plastic bags, and those into waste bags. Put the saucepan to soak in bleach and washing up liquid, in the washing up bowl, that can be tackled in the morning, or whenever, if, I wake up.

Then got the basin on a tray, served up. Despite my cock-up with the cooking, this little feast went down wonderfully well!

No bread of course, but some should be coming on Sunday, fingers crossed. A Taste-Rating of 8/10.

Took the pots to wash. And had a go at trying to loosen the gunge in the burnt saucepan… and burnt my left knuckle when I picked up the loan after running hot water on it. Fool! Still, it’s not serious, and will soon clear up methinks.

I settled into the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, sickeningly-beige-coloured, not-working, uncomfortable, rusty, rickety recliner, and got the Heartbeat DVD on to watch. Years ago, I can remember when I was alive, getting home in a rush, from Tesco on a Friday night, to see these Heartbeat episodes. That was just before the Bailiffs came and emptied the house of everything. Then the police arrived, looking for Mother, who done another runner. Ah, memories!

No commercials to fall asleep to on the DVD, and I watched all three episodes! Fair enough, there were a few little nod-offs, but I rewound to see what I’d missed.

I had to get free of the recliner for a few wee-wees. But eventually, I drifted off into the land of Sweet Morpheus and had an uninterrupted three hours kip.

Wednesday 20th January 2021

Swahili: Jumao tarehe 20 Januari 2021

00:25hrs: I came back to semi-consiousness, the first thought was of the Iceland delivery that is due, and will they send any bread this time?

As I glanced at the notepad, I did my best to read what I had written down lat night. But it was a forlorn hope, although I do seem to recall having a cracking headache as I got my head down?

Then, as is a regular occurrence, the instant, urgent need for a wee-wee arrived. And the diurnally battle to get my flubber-blubber-bellied body out of the second-hand, c1968 recliner, up onto my feet. This morning it was a relatively easy task. But the pains from Harold’s Haemorrhoids were as bad as they have been for many months. Caught my balance easily enough, and I wobbled over to the overnight-wee-wee-bucket.

Another record broke here, I reckon. I passed more in this one visit than ever before! It took me so long, I thought I’d never stop! I was baffled at how so much liquid could have come from the stomach. (Then again, confusedness does come to me so easily)

I went to get a bottle of the made-up spring-water and cordial, for there was a thirst-and-a-half on me this morning. I took this photo from the light & view-blocking window of the morning view. The wind was howling, yet I could still hear the ‘Hum’ as well? As I closed the window, the rain started to come down.

Heckithump! Back to the bucket for another wee-wee! Another marathon session. Not blasting, but I had no control over the flow, on and on it went again. Now, the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket) needed emptying. A big bucket, it is too! I emptied and sanitised it, and washed the hands. I replaced it near the computer, cause it was obviously going to be needed again. Tsk!

I fetched the bottle and started the computer. I got the photos uploaded into CorelDraw, and titivated them top look a bit better than they did, which was not good.

Five minutes into doing this, and yet another incumbent wee-wee was needed. Not quite as long this one, but it started to hurt a bit towards the end, and for the first time, there was some PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling)

By the time I’d got the photos done, and in the WordPress gallery, the two-litre bottle of spring water had all been drunk! I washed my hands and went to make up and refill the bottle. I also spotted that the airlessness thingy, supplied by Nottingham City Homes, showed a temperature and humidity as both being in the green, only just, but this was far better than yesterday.

I pressed on with the WordPressing and got the Tuesday diary updated. Nicodemus and SSS were both being so kind to me… But of all ailments, Colin Cramps was giving me bother in the left-hand fingers. Usually (and regularly) he does this at night after I settle done in the c1968 recliner. But now he was having a ball with me, Gawd blimey, he was! I got the Phorpain gel, I and had a good rubbing in session. Of course, it doesn’t help ease the pain, but the doctors say the rubbing in helps? I realised I had not taken the morning medications yet, so I did along with an extra Zapain that the mystery tenant angel gave me.

The Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer, gave a much better reading this time. SYS down to 156. DIA to 81, and the Pulse at 82.

This was a pleasant change for me.

The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer reading was a little higher, at 37.3°c, but it was still with a been background colour, so it must be within range methinks.

Oh, dearie me! Back to the NWWB, and getting fed-up with it (Hehehe!), I had one more marathon session. This time, there was no PMD (Pre-Micturition-Dribbling) or PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling). Another long session. Washed the hands, and noted that Harold’s Haemorrhoids were getting even more painful, why? I suppose it’s because I’m doing such a lot of sitting down at the computer?

While I was up, I made some waste bags and got them into the box on the three-wheeler walker in the hallway.

As I got on with the updating, I also noticed that warm, wet sensation from the rear end! Damnations, the haemorrhoids were bleeding! Off to the wet room, and cleaned and medicated Harold’s area. Got new PPs on (this is costing me a fortune!) Washed up and returned to the computerisationing.

Despite Harold, Colin and stopping for wee-wees (three-times!), I got the blog finished. Posted it off, Pinterested pictures, and Emailed the link. Did some Facebooking, and realised that I had not had a wee-wee for an hour? Not complaining, mind!

Then went on the WP comments. Next, the WordPress Reader section.

Made a brew of 99 tea, the first cuppa today. Then made a start on this post, but Colin Cramps is still playing me up, so, things will take a long time to get done… if at all!

Off to get the ablutions done, all but a shower that is. With the Iceland delivery due to come so early. I’ll get the shower later on. The toothache was baddish. Not a single cut shaving. Soon done, and out to the computer, oh, after making a mug of Glengettie.

I didn’t get far, the call to the Porcelain Throne arrives, and with the Iceland delivery that could arrive at any time – bad timing! I rushed things along as best I could – and believe it or not, the evacuation apart from painful, with pushing thing, was almost perfect. Not smelly, or messy. And cleared in one flush!

Back on the computer, and the wee-wee demands reignited. Humph! And this one was a marathon again! Colin Cramps was getting even worse now, so I had a look to see if any Codeines were in the pods. What a mess they were in! The spill cover was loose, and all this week’s medications are mixed up, some pods with two tablets in, and others with nine!

It’s not been a good day up to now, has it? As I thought this, EQ indicated it was going to get worse – he’s never wrong! My spirits sank, and the bottom lip started to protrude. Hehehe!

I got dressed properly, I and made another tasty brew of Glengettie tea.

The intercom sounded and lit up, aha, the Iceland deliveryman arrived. I let him in, and got my facemask on and waited at the front door for him. He put the bags through the door for me, and off he trotted with a can of rum in thanks.

As I was taking the carriers through to the kitchen, it dawned on me that there were only three of them? I was sure I ordered more than that.

But of course, I could have made mistakes on the order. It has been known for me to (not much!) Hehe! I looked at the email with the list of products. Oh, dearie me! A little short of the essentials today! EQ was right again!

Next, I decided to get the showering done, before starting on the CorelDrawing graphics. Then realised I’d not got my Yakult on, I’d left it in the wet room.

So, I trudged off to fetch it, as it was getting colder, or I was anyway. I foolishly thought that I’d coped wellish with today’s Whoopsiedangleplop, Hah!

Granglesknackersbuggerit!

I’d only left the hot water tap (faucet) running in the wetroom sink! The water was stone cold! And would not heat up until about 17:00hrs. So much for taking a shower, then!

Of course, this didn’t make me boiling mad at myself, start name-calling and insulting me, oh, no! self-hatred and loathing didn’t come into my mind at all. Depressed? Me? No!… This lying lark is not good! I was self-conscious about my repeated failures, memory blanks, inability to comprehend, and knowledge that things are not going to get better! I could have flooded the poor soul/s in the flat below! Just pure chance that the overflow coped with it, and although belatedly, I found out in time to avert a disaster. I got an acidy taste in the mouth, self-hatred, most likely.

I got some mushroom cooking in the crock-pot, added some Squid and malt vinegar, and sea salt. I was not concentrating as I did it, and dropped the salt pot. Somehow, it didn’t matter, at the moment.

I had a peep at the YourArea Emagazine, for updates to the Coronova locally and weather.

I forced myself to try CorelDrawing again, at least Colin Cramps was easing off at last, then remembered seeing an email from Jenny earlier, and opened it. I sent a reply. I hope they are doing alright down there in their flat. Jenny has Nora living with her while the lockdown is on, a wonderful gesture, the dear Doris appreciates it so much and deserves it.

Back to CorelDrawing at last. I got just one graphic done, sad innit?

The weariness fell as I got the nosh prepared. This meal was so easy to prepare, nowt hot, so no worries over the oven not working. It’s a shame that Iceland failed to deliver the other three packs of cooked meat and the bread, else I’d be able to make more easy meals, especially as I enjoyed this one so much. The taste-rating of 8/10 given.

Between eating, getting the pots washed and taking the evening medications, I needed three wee-wees! I prayed that they would not interrupt my sleep. Or even worse – any escapages would be suffered overnight! Please!

What a great, nights kip it turned out to be! ♥

I put a Die Hard, DVD,

I soon fell asleep and stayed wee-wee free!

I dreamed, but memories didn’t come back to me,

Had a straight five hours sleep, so you see,

I was just waking up, that spoilt my glee!

Mind you, then I needed another wee-wee!

Tuesday 19th January 2021

Maori: Turei 19 o Hanuere 2021

00:30hrs: The demand for a wee-wee welcomed me as I woke up. I bravely forced my unfortunately ever-heavier stomached body from the comfort of the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, sickeningly-beige-coloured, rickety, uncomfortable, recliner. Up on to my feet. I caught my balance, visited the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). I had an LPPP (Long-Powerful-Persistent-Peeing) session), followed by a period of CMD (Cessational Micturition Dribbling),  that surprisingly, lasting for minutes!

I made a brew and washed the pots from last night that I’d left to soak.

Took a photo of the morning view, not a good one, now the Nikon camera has conked-out, I have to use the Canon camera, which doesn’t take night shots well. And then started updating the Monday blog.

And got it completed in record time, I think. NN (Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters) and SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley), were the only ailments that gave me any problems, they were both only intermittent, and I coped amazingly well. To start with, thus, my Smug-Mode was engaged for a while. I do hope they still behave when I have to take the shave!

The six wee-wees taken during the updating were of the WUNT (Weak-Unwilling-Negligible-Trickling) style, and the CMD (Cessational Micturition Dribbling), but only a few drops and much weaker than the first one.

All done, I posted off the diary. Sent the Email links. Pinterested a couple of snaps. And delved into Facebook updating…

This was when the Smug-Mode died. NN, SSS and even Neuropthy Pete gave me a sat-down right leg dance! With the c1962 cabinet where I was seated on the computer, which still has some heavy wooden doors. I involuntarily tested their sturditity with my shin, ankle and knee a few times. Which set of CCP (Cathy’s Cartilage Protella) hurting somewhat. That bit of good luck didn’t last long! But at least I got the updating done with relative ease, so, I’m not moaning… much, anyway! Hehehe!

After the Facebooking was done, I went on the WP comments, then over to the WordPress Reader section.

Each of the four wee-wees taken during the Facebooking updating was of the WUNT (Weak-Unwilling-Negligible-Trickling) style again, but the CMD (Cessational Micturition Dribbling) was far less.

Ah, the joys and mysteries of an ageing bladder! Hehe!

The morning summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived, and I poddled to the wet-room. It was almost an exact repeat of yesterdays messy evacuation, but this time, with a decent amount of pain as the bale of straw looking torpedo gained its freedom. (It felt about the same size too!) Several manual refills of the tank were needed to clear the product, and some BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) annoying bending to clean things up. After cleaning up the room and myself, I generously stayed a lot of air freshener in the wet room, before leaving. The silver-lining search: At least I didn’t walk into the door frame going in or out. No, Dizzy Dennis, Balance-Loss-Brian, or tumble visits. It could have a worse session!

I was now nothing like I was when I got up this morning! The ailments were gathering, giving me grief, and I decided to take an extra pain-killer, with the morning medications, and make a brew of Glengettie. Which, I did.

After taking the medications, I carried out the Health Checks. Starting with the BP on the Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer. The SYS had come down from 184 to 170, and the Pulse from Sundays high of 91, yesterdays 66, now 75.

The Amazon bought, (for a very reasonable cost of £29), Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer reading was of 36.9°c. It was up a smidge, but it is still in the green on the reading, so nae bother there to fret about at all.

I tried to get a graphic or two done on CorelDraw before it was time for the ablutioning to be done.

Ablutionalisationing Report:

As I went into the hallway en route to the wet-room, some idiot had left the mop and bucket in the hallway. Ahem! There followed a toe-stubbing right on the metal clasp of the wringer-outerer, at the bottom! It was a singularly painful one! Of course, I didn’t swear, or anything like that, or call myself ‘a stupid, thick ♫%£+ing idiot, either! Ahuh! I had a little talking to and admonishing myself, and swore to be more careful in future. Don’t know why I bothered really!

I got on with the shaving, pretty pleased with timing for once. ‘The Goon Show’ was about to start, on Radio Four-Extra, Grrreat!

As I was getting the shaving tackle off of the trolley, I… wait for it… stubbed my toe against the wheel! Silver-lining: it was a different toe, and not so keen as the first one! My language was all calm, not self-depreciative, I did not spit, and there was none-cursing. Ahem! I just plodded on.

The shaving had only a few dropsies, and just the one, I say, One, tiny nick. I did a decent job with the new Bic razors, too. , then I thought it best to abandon it, with things seeming to be on a run of bad luck.

Moved into the shower, after cleaning another of the multitude of black spots off of the floor. (I do a little patch each time I shower, Gawd I’m a good lad, I am at times!) I had a super-shower, a good scrub-up, used the brush and loofah! No banging into the grab bars, Dizzy Dennis’s, Loss of Balance Bernards!

The pins, hooves and tootsies looked in fine form. I dried off and got the medicationing done. Olive-oiled the ear holes. Next, I creamed the furuncle and carefully Germoloided Harold’s Haemorrhoids. They did sting bit! Then Phorpain gelled Arthur Itis’s and Cathy Cartilage’s knees. Put the eye drops in. Nasal hygiene sprayed the nostrils. Cleaned the spectacles, decoked the hearing aids and checked the batteries… It’s a job and a half every day! There is another dollop of advice for the whippersnappers. About what they might expect when they are growing old! Hahaha!

I got the PP’s on and exited the wet room. To go and get some clothes on. As I was struggling into the trouser, I realised I had not done my teeth cleaning!

I returned to the wet room, giving myself a third toe-stubbing on the mop bucket, that I had failed to move on the first stubbing! Somehow, this had a relaxing effect on me. The third stubbing of the day, surely that’ll be it, they say things happen in threes?

Got the teeth cleaned without too much bother. Then I got some waste bags made up and, and along with the masses of recycling bags and carton, I filled up the trolley and box.

This could be dodgy, I thought, getting the trolley to the chute and then down the lift to the caretakers’ bins, with any spillage, dropsies or other calamities!

I had a bit of bother getting the badly-balanced three-wheeler trolley out of the door into the lift’s lobby, and even more, bother getting it through into the lift lobby.

But being the confident, young, strong, capable stalwart that I am, I pressed on and got to the waste chute-room without the slightest bit of bother Ahem! Alright then, I got in trapped a finger in the iron chute lid, dropped three bags, clouted my head against the wall, when going down to pick one of the bags up. And coming back out, the left-hand knuckle got a bash against the door frame.

I got in a lift, and as I exited on the ground floor, the route to the main lobby door was blocked by signed and cones from the workmen who were doing the upgrading work. Nae bother for me, I used the fire exit out to the bin area. Robert, the caretaker, was not there, he can’t always be, he’s other jobs all over the flats. I dropped the box’s and bags where the bins usually are, but not today.

I hobbled along Chestnut Way in the drizzle, to the ILC’s (Independent Living Coordinators) Interrogation and holding cell office.

As I got into the Winwood Court foyer, a sharp dizzy-spell nearly had me over! It left me a little confused and worried afterwards. It only lasted about 30 seconds, but I had to wait a while before moving on. What next! Took this snap of inside Winwood Court.

No lights were seen in the office, so I retreated, back out in the light drizzle, and made my way back towards Woodthorpe Court. I heard a voice, and I turned around, it was ILC, Desk Top Dancer, Warden Deana calling me from the Holding Cells window. I returned to the office. She asked if I knocked on the door, but I could not remember the dizzy coming on. We had a distanced natter, Deana, Warden and Ice-skating champion Warden Julie, and I.

I departed, and the drizzle had stopped as I limped along.

Welsh William passed on his way to the bus stop. Not seen him for about three months now, but I don’t go out on the bus nowadays, of course. Jealous? Me? Yes!

I got back inside the building via the caretaker fire door.

Not a soul in sight, I reckon the working lads must have been on their tea-break.

I got through the passage and into the lift lobby.

The way is still blocked off, no access to the front door. The chaps seem to be making some headway in the upgrading. No rush, we’ve had it for four years now, I think… definitely three. Finding a protected Pipistrelle bat, then the holidays, then the Coronavirus, it must have been a nightmare for Nottingham City Homes. Well, some of the residents ain’t too happy about it. But it can’t be helped. Hehe!

As I got up to the floor, I met Robert, the caretaker, with few words.

Got in the flat, I put the trolley away, and finished washing the Manufactured in Pakistan, long-sleeved shirt, all done, wrung and hung to dry.

I got the photos sorted and used then to update this blog. It dawned on me then, I haven’t had a wee-wee for over two hours? Confusing!

I was getting in a pickle with the food deliveries, and I made an order for next Monday from Iceland. 06:00 > 08:00hrs.

Then had a look at the latest Coronavirus figures I could find, for Nottingham. Which showed a slight bit of optimism at least, a drop in numbers I thought. Then I came across this report, about where I live in Sherwood. This was not good! Yet still, people go out every day on the buses.

I’d love to go out shopping, but it wouldn’t be fair to others.

I pressed on with the updating of this diary. It is hard work with Nicodemus and SSS, both giving me jerks and making me make so many errors repeatedly.

I made a brew… still no more wee-wees?

The rain had stopped all together now, but the view when I took these photographs, from the thick-framed, hard to get at to clean, light and view-blocking kitchen window, was looking decidedly somewhat threatening.

I was getting so tired now, and I thought about what to have for a nosh. Making my mind up can sometimes be an impossibility, so quisquous. I’ll check the use-by dates, then have the shortest, methinks.

The cooked smokey bacon had the shortest date on it. So I got a carton of chopped tomatoes, with some added basil oregano and sea salt. Warmed up the fruit and juice, and added the bacon. I think I may have put a little too much basil in, but I still enjoyed it—a flavour-rating of 7½/10. I had the last of the bread with it, but I hope some more will be delivered in the morning from Iceland.

I found some scribbled notes on the pad I was using to recall thing to put on here in the morning. But at this moment in writing, I’m blown if I can decipher it. Maybe, perchance a Doctor might read this, and can help me out? Hehehe!

I got the TV on and found a Sherlock Holmes episode showing. Ah, that’ll do me! I thought.

ZZZ!

Inchcock’s Tips & Advice on gerrin’ o’der, fer Whippersnappers

Saturday 16th January 2021

Finnish: Lauantaina 16 Tammikuuta 2021

01:35hrs: I slowly stirred back into life, of sorts. A sudden, almost panic began, from somewhere I thought that something was wrong in the kitchen! No smells, I don’t think. I struggled out of the c1968 recliner, and I limped to the kitchenette but found nothing untoward, and I had a good look around, windows shut, taps not running… was it a dream?

I was not properly balanced, so I took my time and returned to the main junk room. Thought were coming pretty fast into the brain, but leaving at the same rate of knots.

I got my Myanmar, (Burmese) made zip-up jacket on. Changed into the reading glasses, had a weak wee-wee, washed my hands, and started the Health Checks. The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer reading was fine, at 36.6°c.

♫ I really can’t stay, Baby it’s cold outside, I gotta go away, Baby it’s cold outside, This evening has been, Been hoping that you’d dropped in, So very nice, I’ll hold your hands they’re just like ice ♫… Sorry about that, I got carried away!

Pleasingly, the Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer SYS was not too high compared to earlier readings, at 156. And, the pulse was steady at 85.

I nipped back into the kitchen to get a made-up bottle of spring water and lime cordial.

I opened the window, Gawd it was cold out there… (♫ I really can’t stay, Baby it’s cold outside, I gotta go away, Baby it’s cold outside, This evening has been, Been hoping that you’d dropped in, So very nice, I’ll hold your hands they’re just like ice ♫…) Sorry about that, I got carried away!☺

I snapped this photograph of Chestnut Way’s car park in front of the building, below. Back to the computer, taking another weak-wee-wee en route, and back on the computer.

I determinedly pressed on with the updating of the Friday Diary. Got it finished, although it took me longer than usual with interruptions to Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters, on and off repeatedly for periods of a few seconds, up to a full minute. But I resisted going into a Smug-Mode, after yesterday’s experiences.

All done at long last Hurrah!), then I posted it off to WordPress, emailed the link. Had a weak wee-wee, washed, returned and Pinterested some bits, and went on the Facebooking updating on the TFZ site, then the Woodthorpe Heights. Spent a good while on there, and went on the WordPress-Reader section. Had a weak-wee-wee. Washed my hands and went on the WP commenting.

Belatedly, I made a start on this post. Stopped to make a brew, have a weak-wee-wee, wash my hands, and took the morning medications (It was grand to be able to take an extra pain-killer, thanks to the unknown, kind donor, who posted some through my door yesterday, thanks again!)

I got an inspiration to write the Advice funny at the top of this page, well, second graphic down. I made it up and did it with a graphic. It’s nowhere near my best work, but for some reason, I found it so zanily humorous, so kept it in. I hope people like it and get a laugh. If anyone does, I’ll offer it to the Tate Gallery for a modest fee. Hahaha!

I lost a lot of time already with my getting sidetracked, but did it again, and went on a hunt for Alt codes to use. I found a few and put them on the Notepad for later.

Hello, some more comments have come in, I’ll have a decker. Just the two, replied to them and went to make another mug of tea, and had another weak-wee-wee! I reckon I’ve missed a Furesomide in the medicational muddle?

I then went on CorelDraw to get some template graphics done, I’m well behind with them. Crockledimdogs! Another visit to the wet room, Blimus!

Back to CorelDrawing, and within a minute into working, and the door chimes rang out.

It was the postman, bringing the Amazon sold razors. A box of 200 razors in packs of five. Outstanding value, too.

Back to the CorelDrawing.

: Having done only one graphic, CorelDraw Problems, or rather, I created CorelDraw problems! Or, maybe a more accurately, Nicodemus Neurotransmitters caused me CorelDraw problems! I lost the document palette! The nerve ends died as I was trying to move the palette, and I lost it altogether. I was getting more and more frustrated, I could not remember how to move palettes with the mouse, spent hours trying this and that in the options and customisation sections, getting nowhere with it.

Sister Jane

Then the landline burst forth flashing. Sister Jane, calling. I took this photo a couple of years ago of her, in the Nottingham Slab Square.

We had a long chinwag, ashamedly I could not concentrate properly with worrying about the CorelDraw problems. I learnt what I was doing wrong, as is natural when she calls me, Big Sister, you see. (Hahaha!) I

was eating the wrong foods, going to bed too early, and other things I can’t remember,

In the morning, I added this photo of her and Pete’s visitors in their garden. A family of Squirrels that have taken up residence nearby. They call twice every day for their treats on monkey nuts.

Back to the nightmare with the computer. I went on the web asking for help, and it took me three hours of differently formulated questions, to find a DVD that helped with the problem. Another hour of farting about getting it wrong, and suddenly I got the palette back, but it was empty!

I lost more time trying to sort this out and gave up. I was frustrated, and so wee’d off! And the weariness was coming on.

I gave up on computing, my hopes and plans destroyed! Ah, well, I turned off the computer and got some nosh sorted out. As I got the Ghilli-Con-Carne, red peppers and tomatoes in the saucepan, oh dearie me…

All of the Peripheral Neuropathy related ailments all kicked-in, well not all of them. No leg dancing, loss of balance but SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley), Shaking Shaun, and Cathy Cartilage gave me what for!

A nasty bout, this one, but thank goodness it was a short one. I was growing more tired than ever now. But I pressed on and got the meal served up. I overdid the quantity a bit, and couldn’t eat all of the rolls, but destroyed the CCC and potatoes. A taste-rating was a worthy 8/10.

Washed and got the jammie-bottoms on, and down in the £300, second-hand, decrepit, c1968, rickety recliner, and turned on the TV, I can’t remember what it was I was going to watch, but I failed to anyway – blissfully! Off into the land of Sweet Morpheus, I drifted in no time at all. Zzzz!

An hour or so later, I sprang wide-awake, as if I’d just had an electric shock! The realisation that the Prescriptions were being delivered today bounding about in my head! Sheer alarm and panic gripped my and hastened by the bulbous wobbly body from the recliner, with the intentions of getting to the front door post-haste to see if they had been put through the door for me, as it was well past the normal delivery time.

Unfortunately, as I got in the hallway, I instead hastened down on my knees to the floor, and the right leg knee, (Cartilage Cathy’s) gave way. There was no time for self-pitying, I hauled my enormous girth back up onto my feet…

And I crumpled down again! This time, I crawled into the wet room and dolloped a load of Phorpain gel all around the patella. Then used the shower chair to get my bulk back up on my feet again. All the time, worrying about the prescriptions milling about in my head.

I got to the flat’s door, there was not anything outside or inside medicine wise. Had he or she been and left? Will they be coming later? I put the facemask on, in case anyone did come, and thought I’d check the mobile and email to see if the chemist had been and had sent a message… Panicking a bit here, but still found time to fit a spot of nervousness in about the CorelDraw problem! Come one worry – Come all! Hehe!

Moments later, the intercom rang out, it was Carrington Pharmacy owner, Deepak BSc Pharm Hons, delivering my prescriptions for me. For once, thank heavens he was late, else I might have been asleep otherwise, Phew! He dropped the prescription pack in a box, on the floor for me, and I thanked him. Nice to be told I was not looking very well. Hehehe! Bless him.

Once I took them to the kitchen to sort out, I realised that Cathy Cartilage was really giving me some stick, although it was my own fault for falling on her twice! Flibbledonkackles!

Ah, well, life may not be exactly suant, and I may be in pain, CorelDraw is worrying me, but after a quick Silver-Lining Search: Things could be much worse. I got the prescriptions delivered, Cathy Cartilage is already getting less painful, I had a marvellous CCC for dinner, Duodenal Donald and Anne Gyna have both been kind to me today. Yep, things are good! Who am I kidding!

Back down in the recliner, it took a while, but sleep did return.

Friday 15th January 2021

German: Freitag, 15. Januar 2021

22:50hrs: Woke up wanting a wee-wee. (Nothing new there then!) The brain seemed to engage quicker than it normally does, and within seconds I was tugging dragging and humping my wobbly-bellied, oversized stomached body from the recliner, and got up, caught my balance, and visited the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). Only to find the complete opposite of yesterday morning.

Gone was the overly-keen, almost hosepipe-like jets of relief, replaced with a reluctant, trickling, splattering, spraying all over the place wee-wee! Worse, it needed a lot of pressure applied to start and keep the flow going? A bit of a hard job, painful, and took me ages too. But, at least there was no PMD (Pre-Micturition-Dribbling) or PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling). Whilst performing this act, I cheered up considerably when I remembered the mystery donator’s pain killers could be taken later. (Thanks again, whoever it was who helped me!)

I poddled off to wash my hands and other areas in need, then to the kitchen to get the kettle on. I took this snap of the now snow-free view from the can’t get at to wash, new thick-framed, dirty, light & view-blocking windows.

Started the Health Checks, and the Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer reading, was fantastic! The SYS had tumbled down to 150. The DIA down by one and the pulse had dipped a lot, done to 89! Grrreat!

The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer,  was again almost spot-on the button at 36.6°c in the green. I’m doing well this week with my body temperature readings.

I took the medications next, with the gone-cold tea. It was a pleasant experience, having the kindly-donated Zapain® to ease the Toothache Thomas, Cathy’s Cartilage and Ann Gyna, and it worked, too!

A grumble from the innards, and involuntary, endogenous passing of wind from the rear end, had me abandoning things on the computer, and hastening like lighting to the wet-room in need of the Porcelain Throne. Well, I mean hobbling to the wet room, then!

Another change from yesterday’s visit. I got down on the raised seat, and things would not start, but splatterings and wind were coming straight away. I had a go at the crossword book, no sooner picked it up, and the movement began. Another big-dollop, sticky, gooey and messy in the extreme!

The cistern did not clear things after the third flush. It took three or four hand refills to do that, and ‘bits’ were still coming back up? I spent ages cleaning up. What a Pallava it was!

Back onto the computer, and uploaded the photos from yesterday and this morning, to CorelDraw. Readied them for the blog, and opened WordPress. Made a start updating the Wednesday diary. Got the update finished after a few hours, and I made another mug of Glengettie.

The morning view, photographed from the light & view-blocking kitchenette window, made eerie pictures.

I Pinterested a couple of pictures, then sent the Email link off. Then caught up with the Facebooking. Perused the WordPress Reader Section, some brilliant photos on there today. The ones from Tim Price in New Mexico, are well worth a look, here’s the link:

Cranes, mallards, skies, owls, and Spunk the cat

Then I thought about my coenaculous desires, I and got some breakfast made.

I could have a look at the new Lockdown instructions at the same time, perhaps. But plans got delayed when I picked up the multiple 4-four sheets to have a quick perusal off.

By the time I’d read one page, and started on the other side of it, I’d forgotten what I’d just read before! However, I persevered and managed to read all of the pages.

No Smug-Mode, though. Cause I reckon only about 10% of the content actually sank in. Most of what I read I’m already doing!

I made a brekkers. Mini pork pies, tomatoes, grapes, dried onions, a Marmite cheese disc, oh, and three little thin slices of the buttered Milk Roll loaf, none left now, Tsk! I will eat the food. Hahaha!

The wee-wees are far less often than yesterday, weaker, and more dribblier!

Ah, well, washed the pots and off to get the ablutions done.

Ablutionalisationing Report:

  • I stripped and into the wet room, I noticed the patellas seem to be doing their own thing? Of course, both are affected by Rheumatoid Arthur Itis, but the right one has CC (Cathy Cartilage) to contend with, and thus, is usually the more painful of the two, as today. The marked difference in appearance, odd lumps etc. has not been noticed before. Still, it gives a bit of character to the photograph, don’t you think? I reckon that one leg is getting fatter than the other? Haha!
  • On the bright side, the pins and feet didn’t look bad at all!
  • Not an easy session compared to the last two, which have been far less bothersome, Starting with the teeth cleaning, no bother from the tooth, that’ll be the pain killers helping, but the dropsies were unbelievable. I dropped the toothbrush (several times, Nicodemus’s neurotransmitters were on and off), and the toothpaste. As I returned the toothbrush to the tray, SSS (Shuddering Shoulder-Shirley) made me knock, the bottle of Brut aftershave, razor pot, and nasal spray off of the trolley. The bottle broke! On the bright side, it smells lovely in the wet room now!
  •  The spray nozzle on the nasal hygiene spray broke!
  • I had a few knocks on many hard surfaces, picking up and cleaning things. And I ended up with BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) giving me some stick with all the bending.
  • The Shaving went well, mind you: one tiny cut, and only two dropsies, no injuries.
  • The showering had its moments; I was doing nicely thank you, until SSS reappeared, and wrapped my knuckles on the grab rail, I swore, and then dropped the shower gel bottle, which landed on my right foot and toe! I swore again!
  • The drying off went smoothly, no accifauxpas, no spillage or knocking into or anything over!
  • The medicating and dressing did not go well. The cap on the Germoloid ointment flew off across the room, I still haven’t found it yet! By pure chance, the cap to the nearly empty tube of Care+ ointment fitted the Germolid tube, so I used that and threw away the Care+ tube. Good and bad luck there?
  • The CC affected patella, was most displeased when I rube in the Phorpain gel. Very tender.

Still, I’ve had much worse sessions. The Pharmacy prescription cock-ups, new paperwork, Sock-Glide and lockdown gives me more worries and anguish.

I noticed the, I’m not sure what you call it, a monitor for temperature and humidity gadget, shows the humidity as further below the green zone, and it got worse later, down 10 points under? I’ll take a look at Google, see what comes up.

I meant to do this yesterday but forgot to. Hard to believe, me forgetting something, I know. Hehehe! I consulted Mr Google about humidity monitors, and I got this piece of advice? American, I assume.

I rechecked the emails, and I ended up looking at this morning’s Your-Area E-magazine. I found some bits scaremongering and of mild interest.

This photo of the Metro front page is scary.

All the other newspaper were offering hope that he Coronavirus is slowing down, and asking ‘Can we hope that it is under control?’

I fear not, yet!

This was found on the Nottingham News site. Cheered my up a bit. I’d like to know how the student paid the fine immediately? Must have been a foreign pupil.

Years ago, when I was working in security, I was sub-contracted to work at Nottingham Trent University. End the end of the first working shift (Nights), the mail arrived, sacks of it, and I was to put in the respective cubby-holes. One parcel for a Chinese student, it was brick-sized and crammed full of paper money arrived. On the label, was a note stating that the contents’ total value was less than £2500. Just a memory triggered.

I went to make a brew of Glengettie, and the weather had changed a bit from earlier. I’m sorry I took it now, it was freezing out there! It must have fallen while I was doing the lengthy ablution session. Haha! It put me off going anywhere even if I could.

An hour or so later, I went into the kitchen to check on what to have for nosh later on. And the fog had descended now, it got worse later.

I made up a couple of graphics for future templates, on CorelDraw. I could feel the weariness coming on, so I tried to rush a bit.

I got the meal prepping started. Took the evening medications. Very early in the day, for I was wearied beyond belief, I got the nosh served up.

I’d taken the cheap Hubbards (Sainsbury’s generic name) bacon offcuts, that was 300gr and just two thick slices of gammon, and cut off the mass of fat on it and into the oven. Chopped tomatoes in the saucepan. Added two part-baked rolls later. Some grapes, mousse and a mini chocolate cake.

I feasted and wallowed in it! Everything came out well, the bacon surprisingly so.

A flavour rating of 8/10 was given. I ate slowly to allow things to digest, and after finishing the nosh, fell asleep, with the tray balancing precariously on my mountain of wobbly-fleshed rotundish stomach!

I woke an hour or so later, and wondered how the heck everything had managed to stay on the tray, and nothing fell off of fleshy tummy?

With difficulty (Cathy Cartilage), I stood and took the tray for washing in the kitchen sink. Then returned, blurry-eyed, to the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly-beige-coloured, not-working, rickety, incommodious, grotty recliner.

The landline flashed and chirped. The struggle out of the recliner again was not easy with CC so stiff and painful, but I got there in time somehow. It was my Vampire Nurse Angel, Hristina, to tell me she’ll be coming on Monday, between 0900 > 1100hrs. I thanked her, had a rare wee-wee, washed, and got back down in the c1968 recliner.

To my consternation, sleep did not easily come to me, how, with feeling so drained, I didn’t know. So I put the TV on – that cracked it for me! The first set of adverts came on, and off I went, to join Sweet Morpheus!

Saturday 9th January 2021

Scots Gaelic: Disathairne 9 Faoilleach 2021

23:45hrs: I came back to a life of sorts, Toothache Terence was giving me some stick straight away. I cunningly heaved my pudgy, cumbrous-bellied body free of the c1968 recliner. Caught my balance, and saw the clock, and realised I’d had another good four-hours worth of blissful sleep.

But my EQ was warning me of things to come, which would be frustrating and annoying. The message was a definite one, no avoiding whatever is it! I tried to ignore it, as I was in a decent mood, even with the toothache.

I had a wee-wee using the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). Again, the first leak of the day was of the LPPPS (Long-Powerful-Persistent-Peeing-Session) style. During which, I spent the time pondering on what needed doing. Deciding, no tea yet, that would be too harmful to the teeth, and then decided to get the computer on and update the Friday blog. (I was in a semi-determined mood, a hint of determination in there somewhere too! Oh, Yes!)

As I was waiting for the obviously coming PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling), and it started to drip – the right leg started one of its infamous, adventitious right leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dances! A decently long affair this one was. (It felt like it, but actually, it was only about two minutes).  A sort of a cross between a one-legged Twist and the Hokey Cokey dances, Hehe!

I laugh about it now, because I was glad I avoided ending up tumbling to the floor. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the bucket! One heck of a long and painful job cleaning up afterwards! Good job I had plenty of air fresheners and disinfectant to use. Embarrassment-Mode-Grade-Two-Engaged! Is this what the EQ’s warning was about?

I tackled the updating of the blog, finished it and got it posted off. Sent the Email link. Visited the WordPress Reader section.

I found a problem when I went to open Excel and got messages telling me that it needs updating, with a link to do so, I left it to try later when I was ready. I made a start on this template. Then I changed my mind and clicked the update button.

The Microsoft updating stopped, and I got an error Error 0xC0000142 message.

This got me all uptight, the thought of losing all that work and reminders etc. on Excel and Word, had me on a super-downer and in a panic-mode! It went on Google for advice, with various different questions asked.

They were all extremely complicated. After two hours worth of searching, and failed with each suggestion, I found the Microsoft members site:

http://0xc0000142 Error – Solver

Bloody marvellous! Even I managed, not without the odd hiccup when I clicked the wrong option on my first effort – got the error-problem solved and working again! I put the link here, just if anyone else has the same problem with the bulti-billionaire owned Microsoft Corporation programmes, Excel and Word updates!

Why do we accept these pathetic none working updates? They charge us enough every year, con us every year, and get away with it scot-free, every year! It’s worse, for IT illiterates, and arithmophobia sufferers like wot I am! I do not mean to sound like a doryphore, but the mental agony and worry that this failure caused me to have started Duodenal Donald off, and this shouldn’t be. I read that Mr Gates has sold or given away much of his stake in Microsoft? He now owns just over 1% of shares — and has invested in a mix of stocks and other assets. That shows something about the future for Microsoft on the internet as we know it? Grrr!

But thank heavens for the IT man who offered the simplest, most straight forward advice method of curing another Microsoft cock-up! I appreciated it so much that I joined the Microsoft Community to put a message on thanking him. Cheers, Sir! It worked!

Got the ablutions done. I’d been up for over six hours, and only really dealt with Microsoft problems! (Which they made sure they were ours!) Swine!

I responded to the call to the Porcelain Throne. Marvellous, I almost enjoyed it! No bleeding, no pain and no mess! Grrreat!

An email had come in, well two actually. The first one from Microsoft, Welcoming me to their Community… Mmm!

The second email, from Iceland, with a confusing substitution. Iceland Cooked Pork Cocktail Sausages 255g, substituted with Iceland Cooked Pork Cocktail Sausages 255g? That’s interesting, I wonder if they found a packet stuck somewhere that has a short date on it, or is split open, and sent that belatedly? Hehehe!

I got the related Health Checks completed, but the SYS reading from the Chinese-made Boot’s sphygmomanometer, showed that it was back up high again, at 175. Humph! However, pulse was down from 90, to a more reasonable 80.

The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer count was 36.7°c, very acceptable.

The toothache persisted, and Duodenal Donald was getting a bit naughty now.

The Nikon camera was not working again, so I had to use the Canon for the morning photograph of the view from the light & view-blocking, new kitchenette windows.

And a terrible one it was! (Kodak)

I got the medications taken and had a blast on this blog again.

My Iceland Food delivery will be ♫ Coming round the mountain ♫ shortly. Sorry about that, I got carried away there.

Off to the wet room, for getting washed and shaved, I’ll be gentle when cleaning the teeth. Very gentle! Back in a bit! Computer work saved, and I put it in ‘Sleep Mode’ – be nice if I could sometimes do that with me, Har-har!

Bit of a bad one on the shaving stakes, I used new razors. I kept thinking I stopped it bleeding, but it was a persistent little cut. Back of the neck somewhere. Why does no hair grow on top of the head, but needs shaving around the neck and earholes, beats me?

No shower, too early cause of the noise from the motor, or whatever it is.

The medicationalising went well enough. Harold’s Haemorrhoids were the calmest they’ve been for months? I’m not complaining, mind! Cartilage Kathy was giving me some stick, as Duodenal Donald continues to do. I took some extra Peptic medicine, and Paracetomals, having no extra Codeines, later on.

I did some hand washing, done, wrung and hung. Not a lot!

0615hrs, the intercom rang out and lit up, it was the Iceland delivery chap. I wedged opened the door for him. He came in, letting the outer lobby door slam behind him. That’ll help make me popular with the neighbours!

He dropped the bags inside for me. I slipped him a choice of drinkies in cans. And was off like a man on a mission! Letting the door slam to behind him again! Cringe!

I got the few frozen things put in the freezer first. I thought I’d ordered a Chilli-Con-Carne meal, but I got a Beef Stroganoff, most likely me that got it wrong again, cause it wasn’t on the substitute list? Another Inchcock cock-up, once more, as I seem to be doing recurrently nowadays. Plinglepops!

For once the leeks they sent looked in good nick, I’ll do some when I have that Stroganoffski stuff. I called Jenny later, to check if anything barred to me was in it, I got the go-ahead to eat it from the gal ♥) Pork & Pickle mini-pies, butter, desserts, beef pasties, lemon Vienna cakes, and some vegetable Oxo cubes… oh, and the mystery mini pork sausages were put in the fridge.

The potatoes salad had two days life on it, the leek for 6 days. The pies all had 4 days of life. I’d better start eating, Heheheh!

Just a few cleaning articles, Elbow Grease washing up liquid (3 for £2.50). And more drain unblocker (£3.50), these visits to the Porcelain Thrones cost me a fortune! I should be able to get this on prescription, surely? Well, maybe not!

I made up some bags and put them in the box on the walker-guide.

I took the later medications with a deliberately, a let-go-cold mug of Glengettie (the teeth), and started back onto the creating this post.

But a few minutes into it, Duodenal Donald got worse, and I had a drink of milk and even more paracetamols. Not feeling up to much now.

Took a photo of the view with the Kodak camera, the Nikon was not working again!

Then went to have a perusal of the Nottingham Today City Council magazine. To if anything new and newsworthy was found, to let you know about. This photo above stuck out! Tsk!

I clicked on the Nottingham City Council Coronavirus link on the email, and got this message on the left come up, on the Google page?

Oh, that was a surprise! So I gave up, I don’t want any virus’s being attracted!

New cases of Coronavirus in the last week are high again, a big increase. Summat else to worry about, then!

Hello, the dreaded ‘Hum’, just like yesterday afternoon, has suddenly become much louder! Tsk! In fact, Tsk-Tsk!

The Nottinghamshire Coronavirus numbers were found, these figures are daily, not weekly.

Not good, is it?

It doesn’t bother me, of course. Ahem!

I got the meal prepped and cooked, not that it needed much, the Beef Stroganoff ready prepared, just needed 45 minutes in the oven. I added some garden peas when I served it up. I had a lemon bliss dessert for afters. I’ve never had Stronganoff before, and shall possibly try it again when the teeth get sorted out if they ever do! Although that’s how I like them normally, the beef strips were tough, but, Toothache Terence wasn’t too enamoured. Flavour rating: 6.5/10.

I put the cutlery in the sink to soak. Got changed and settled, and was soon in the land of nod… for five minutes or so, and the landline rang and flashed! I was not exactly wide awake, but I think that Matron is calling to see me on Monday, or, it might have been an INR nurse telling me she’d be calling on me, for the blood-taking on Monday. I’d scribbled, Nurse Monday, 09:00 > 13:00, on the notepad.

I cannot recall much about it, but I’m sure I drifted off again and had a dream, summat to do with being in an underground cave again, being chased? Woke up, passed wind, and wanted a wee-wee…

There’s no rest for the wicked, is there? Haha!
