SORRY ABOUT ALL THE MISTAKES – I HAD TO RUSH IT
Thanks to Liberty-Global Virgin Media for letting me down so often yet again. Not so often, actually, but in total, I had no internet for over 4-hours! Cocked up all my plans.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Where can I start? What few words will satisfactorily cover today’s disastrous, frustrating, farcical, pathetic, depressing, failure-filled, up for 26hrs of trying to catch up… Oh yes, they’ll do!

What a difference in yesterday’s & today’s nocturnal colouring of the wee-wee!

I see this as a danger sign that they threatened and been warned that, a permanent catheter would be put in, shortly? It’s been a long time now since I’ve been taking Finasteride prostate-reducing tablets. It must be 3 months by then? Remember when I first had the catheter fitted? All the blood in the bags. I found this photograph on file from December 22.

It took them from my getting into hospital when the deep red blood started to flow. After three visits to the QMC hospital, I was kept in again. During this, over two days, the catheter was put in and taken out, then back in, then out, at least eight times. Oh, the pain! I got to learn the sounds of other patients having theirs out and in again; because it was the same sort of Arrgh!, that I was making each time. Humph!

Then I was transferred to the City Hospital. Where the frequency over three days of the agonising tube going in repeatedly, was twice as often as at the QMC!

Next, a visit to a Specialist in Sherwood Hospital. Eight outpatient visits to the City Hospital Urology, to be told they are not sure what caused it in the first place. The last time I met any Doctor about the problem, was at the Private Hospital. That turned out to be an eight-minute talk, and I was told he was going to advise my GP to start me on Finasteride but must take it for two months, which hopefully, potentially may reduce the size of my Prostate and allow the flow of voluntary urine flow to begin again. Nurses arrived to put the new type of catheter cruelly in Little Inchie Hehehe! Four months later, of my taking Finasteride, the nurses returned and took out the catheter, calling back two days later, and they checked with the scanner how much urine was in the bladder after I rid as much as I could to the WC. One of the nurses said the bladder was still a third full. So, back in went the catheter again!
Supposedly for another two months, of Finasteride taking. That was four months ago. I’ve had the Catheter contraption taken out and straight back in twice more times, but no sign of me being allowed to try to manually wee-wee again?
I lost the plot there, didn’t I?  It’s the getting darker urine in the bag that’s got me going. They didn’t know or didn’t tell me, apart from ‘Some Infection’, the cause of this nearly a year ago started blood from the bladder.
Back to today… Well, yesterday, it was already 04:00hrs, and this is as far as I’ve got with this blog; waffling does not help, and boy, am I tired. Have to cut corners, Sorry. (But I ended up bogging, spitting and passing wind all night long, blogging instead)

After taking the nocturnal pouch from the day bag, I tackled the waste bin assembly.
Placed them near the door.

I took a snap of the extremely blue views from the kitchenette window.

Then the ablutions were tackled. Not a good session. Stubbed a toe, and spilt the washing bowl all over the floor, picking up after standing in it to clean the feet. The teeth were bleeding, just two cuts shaving. The feet, or rather toes, seemed to be getting larger areas of apparent bloodlessness?.

Another change in the Evacuated Produce in the WC. Can’t understand this. I mentioned these variations to the Doctor, but, either she wasn’t interested, didn’t hear me, or, I meant to mention it but forgot to? Spent ages cleaning up.
Hristina, my sweet DVT, INR phlebotomist nurse, arrived to take some more blood ♥♥♥. Lovely to see her. The INR level, was at 2.9 last time, so I may not see her again next week. Boo!
As the internet went down again, Carer Richard arrived. He looked and sounded a little better this week, I’m glad to report. Nice chap.
As he left, the Ocado order arrived.

DOWN FOR 4.5 HOURS

The driver carried the bags through to the kitchen for me. Thanked him, and offered him a nibble or drink in thanks, but he declined.
I’d got Tonic Water, instead of Soda Water, but that’s no bother. Lavender Dettol for washing the tenderer areas washing. The seaweed arrived. Ans some biscuits made by LU to try, which I did, but they were not to my liking, too hard and sweet for me and the few teggies I’ve got left. Tsk! I gave them to the next carer, as he tried one and liked it. The batter scraps arrived, too, I intended to have some of these later. The fresh Kenyan peas were a treat to have as well! Aha, a soft biscuit, I see! Jolly good for me!
I didn’t get the bananas, but have one left. I think I may have ordered some from Asda?
After working on and off on the blog for some fours… The Mammoth Blackout, from you know who…
IT WAS OFF FOR 4.5hrs!
I spent a long time trying to sort it before I started watching the time. .Nothing seemed to work. Wi-Fi swapping and that didn’t help either. Reset, reboot, I closed down everything completely, and that failed.
All shut off again, restarted the crap Liberty-Global Virgin Media box, gave it a reboot and sat waiting.
Another do-no-good idea. At one point, the service did return, but lasted only a few seconds; this repeated several times. Most frustrating. I had to give up and reset the box again, leaving restarting while I got an early nosh sorted out.
Made a mess cooking this meal, a right one! I actually wrote the timing down after I worked out what was needed in order. The potatoes were left over in the crock pot from last night… well the early hours of this morning, I was having them cold. Only the pretend fish, peas and fish batter to heat up in the oven for just two minutes. I’m looking forward to these; I’ve not had any for months. The fish in the air-fryer needed 20 minutes, the peas a few minutes to just heat up in the saucepan, tomatoes soy sticks tomatoes and beetroot no cooking needed. When I laid out the plate, there seemed to be a gap?
I got the cooking utensils, washed up straight away. Then got seated and tucked into the meal. I was about 90% of the way through eating it… and suddenly remembered I’d left the batter bits in the oven! I foolishly rushed to the kitchen, and grabbed the bits tipping them on the nearly finished meal tray.
Of course, they were burnt to buggery! What a Plonka! No internet, burnt meal what next? Although you can’t see it in the picture on the right, it was belting down with rain. Not that that bothered me. I was just hoping to get the computer internet working again. The two Carers who called were amazed to me not on the computer!.
Interesting shot here on the left. Why I snapped my fingers? No doubt I hadn’t meant to, surely? Hehehe!
I took a shot of the sky while waiting for the damned, blasted Liberty-Global Oligarchs box to reset yet again. A highly Pareidoliaiable Picture this one!.
(Incidentally, it is now 05:50hrs on Tuesday) .
Carer Benjamin called earlier on the last visit of the day. I took this photo then but only just got around to getting it from the SD card. I sent him a copy by email.

Not that I can get much sleep, cause the Carer is calling in 2-2.5 hours. But I can go on no further. Busy day tomorrow, I’ve got to have a battle with the internet again, I may cry!
The Asda delivery is due. The DVT and FAlls Team Sarah… ‘Might’ be calling, and the spare room needs clearing. I still need help with arranging the flu jab at the chemist. I may be back… or not!
Overnight shot of the open balcony doors and the TV I watched when you know who’s internet went on strike again! I viewed a ‘Something Inside Me’ programme and took a few photos as I did so.
I put these on Tuesday’s blog, and got two hours sleep, then started to do that.

Mentally Shattered – But EQ was here, telling me things were going to get much worse. He was right!

Got bedded down last night, well, this morning at around 03:20hrs, and low & behold, was waiting, ready to start again. But I did get off eventually and had nearly three hours of bliss. I would have stayed in the £300 second-hand shop purchased, c1966, welt-causing, uncomfortable, not-working, itch-inspirational, crumb-containing recliner for longer; Unfortunately, Dementia Doreen’s compatriot, , convinced me on waking, that it was Monday! So I thought I had a delivery coming between 7 & 8, and it was already 07:15hrs; a semi-panic-mode was engaged and I got up in a bit of a rush; Dizzy Dennis visited, lost balance, and I sat down again, with a foggy head.

Then I realised it was Sunday…

The Night Pouch
At first glance, I thought I’d been mysteriously passing spaghetti through Little Inchie and . Hehehe! Too dark a colour.

The legs look a little rough again.
No pains with them, yet.

Got some spuds in the crock pot.
Then felt the need for the .
porc tttWell, was done after three days. But of course meant a mess to clean up.

Waste Bags Sorted.

Carer Rahmat arrived. Did the issuing of the medications, eye drops, painkillers & Peptac were given. A little natter, which I appreciated. Took her BP and temperature. Very good, see above.

I felt so different again this morning. Plain weary, but the balance was much better. I got on with the mammoth job of catching up on yesterday’s blogging. Things started annoyingly…
Amazingly, I changed the Wi-Fi option and it came back! Very slow work this time. I feared I might even fall asleep in the computer chair. I must try to get some decent sleep in.

I was amazed again, at how the time flew by – it was the midday call already. The blog was making progress, slowly. Rahmat at last accepted a drink I offered a choice of. Bless her!

Got the blog posted at long last. And made a start on the Ode for today’s Inchy Today. I think it took me over three hours, and then later I found spelling mistakes in it. , I think my concentration was getting far worse the more tired I got.  Still, could be worse… couldn’t it?

Still struggling with the editing, and I forgot all about taking any photos until early evening. I’d been nibbling; in fact, I ate all of the remaining Le Petit bikkies!
A banana, a choc ice, an orange ice lolly, and as of now 19:10hrs, I’ve not made or wanted a mug of Glengettie?
Tea GlengettieThis is singularly worrying. It’s never happened before? Could it be the mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the ghosts, wraiths, spectres, cacodaemons, apparitions, and other grotesqueries that haunt the hallways and lobbies, searching for Inchie to curse with bad luck, create ambiguities, abstrucities, perplexities, misfortunes and botherations, to scare, worry and confuse me!
Very peculiar situation. Not only not drinking tea, but failing to take photos of the clouds for my pareidoliaing!

I took a snap of the afternoon sky and grabbed another orange lolly from the freezer. Hahaha!
Bootiful!

Continued with the blog for several slow-moving hours, and went to take photographs of the later evening. I was struggling then and were making it difficult for me to control the camera and use the selection buttons, but I had to give up.
Carer Benjamin arrived. I hadn’t heard him, cause even if I had hearing aids in, I couldn’t hear the dooorchime when in the kitchen or wetroom. He was right behind me and made me jump a smidge. Which brought a much-needed smile. He’d been standing there a while and noticed how I was struggling with the Kodak. He whipped out his mobile phone and took these photos for me, bless his cotton socks.

Then a closer shot of the houses.

That was kind of Benjamin.
So I took a snap of the lad.
Offered a cold drinkie in thanks, and he got the medications sorted. Then the eye drops were put in. He’s a clever lad, and noticed the shaking in my… well, all over really. Hehehe!
He’ll be back, just like Arnie, later for the Catheter night bag fitting. After Benjamin departed, I got on with updating this blog, to here. But mental fatigue, mistake-making and lack of sleep made me stop. I hope I’ll be back later too.

Took this shot of the attractive early-night clouds.

Did some more blogging catch-up, and then Carer Benjamin returned for his last visit. During which, he took this shot with the Kodak, of the scratches & bruises on the left leg 0 which must have been acquired, Thursday, on the last of the falls, I’d not noticed, but sharp-eyed Benjamin did.
.
He also noticed that the leg was swelling up, compared to the state of the right one. One battered body, one distorted brain,
hearing problems, seeing problems, money running out at a fast rate, , problems; bleeding at the point of entry of the catheter tube. is visiting much more often lately, and the previously nocturnal only , is now apparently on a new 24/7 roster. My are scarily getting more frequent… the mind seems to just lose blocks of time altogether, and forever. None have ever come back to me, and those hours or minutes remain a mystery? Maybe this is making things worse?
Just thought I’d mention them. To help whippersnappers who just may read this, to know what they can expect. So, keep on with the cannabis; it helps. (Guilt developing!)

I bedded down in the second-hand, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly sickening beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly, germ-producing, falling to pieces, food residue collecting recliner. But refused to let me sleep, even gave me a few sharp awakenings. I got up a few times, and wobblingly carried and to the kitchen to take some photos of the night skies
Sunset, taken earlier.
Blissful!
Later it looked like I had a monster on the horison.
A long time later, the monster was still there?

Back to try to sleep again, and I realised how little had been passed urine-wise, into the night pouch.

Took a photo with the flash on…
.
A perfect colour though. Bet it will have darkened by morning.

Not sure when I managed to get to sleep. But recall that had me wakened twice, all the other jerking-awakes were due to .

INCHY: Saturday 9th September 2023 – Aboulomania!

Ahem! I found this in ten seconds! Fair enough, it was designed for infants to work out. But still – Hehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
It didn’t last long, though…
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
This day, I was more out of it than in again. The urine in the night bag was dark but grew darker as I refilled the day bag. Well into the evening, it turned an almost perfect near-white? The Porcelain Throne visits (4) were bloody and painful, with absolutely nothing getting through to the WC! I spent ages on the Throne, all to no avail. I’m now taking crystals to help me go, after months of taking anti-diarrhorea pills to stop me from going! In fact, I was on the Throne when Carer Chris came in and tapped on the door asking if I was alright. I’d not heard the chime. He said he could hear me oohing, r’ing and swearing! Guilty!

The memory, Dizzies, Confusion, and I could barely hear anyone I spoke with… I must try to sort out the problem with the Audio Centre, to get some help to ring them next week. No Kara next week. I think she’s on a deserved holiday. The financials are all on hold. Carer Atere said he was coming in her place. He knows the financial paperwork storage system, which will be a big help.

The usually Nocturnal Thought Storms Steve had a bash at trying diurnal Thought Storming! Huh!  Just what I needed, Not!
Concentration Konrad was noticeable by his complete absence
.
The number of times I just could not think of what I was after an interruption, was so often I lost count. I’m not kidding. And yet there was an air of acceptance with me today. I reckon I thought I deserved it… Well, according to Thought Storm Steve, who was constantly reminding me of the shameful things from my youth.
The day was spent on the computer. Apart from the emptying of the catheter pouch, the failed visits to the Porcelain Throne, and the Carers calling. The worst repeat interruptions were from the , .who amassed many brown-outs today. Which in their usual fashion lost me work that I’d done and could not save, because I had to turn everything off, and reset the box, then restart the computer. Even change Wi-Fi connection numbers each time it went down, and do the same work again!
What me, Cry? Blubber, Howl? Curse, Swear?
It was only my dyspathy towards the number-crunching oligarchs, the smoke & mirrors money & figure manipulating financial geniuses of Liberty-Global that kept me going, and not packing up on the blogging.
Spit!

Still got a few photographicalisations done though!
Bejesus! What a colour!
Still dark hours later, when I belatedly emptied the day pouch.

Waste bags sorted out.

During one of the failed visits, I had to change into fresh PPs. I tried one of the cheaper XXL ones…
The first laugh of the entire day!
I struggled, as usual getting them on, but kept my balance; no fall or tumble, not even any banging on the wall, stubbed toe or door-head-butting
. Finally, I got both legs in the right holes… Don’t laugh; I have been known to get them the wrong way around… also trying to get two legs in the same hole. Go on then, laugh! Hehe!
I carefully got the pants up my legs, without catching the release valve lever… this was going so well. The laugh came to me when I got them fully pulled up… they were so big the waistband was only inches from my nipples! Hahaha!

Artist Impression done in CorelDraw by Inchy. Har-Har!

Aha, much lighter shade this afternoon!
My favourite puffer clouds to the north.
And, to the east!

Liberty-Global Internet went down a few more times.
Gnash!

I dropped a tablet and thought it fell in the waste bin.
Had a sort through the bin, but could not find it.
So I got the torch and looked underneath the second-hand bought ex-Hopewells  G-Plan c1960 sideboard with the computer on it. Not only couldn’t I find it, I stubbed my toe in the struggle to get back up on my feet again! It has to be in the bin…
So, another dig around in the waste bin.
And another failure to find the Codeine. Hey-Ho!

Then realised when I’d stubbed the toe, I’d caught the right ankle ulcer. It stung a bit, but I now had the Germolene to rub in to ease it. Of course, bending down to rub in the ointment, kicked off , so she got some Germolene rubbed in… at least the area I could reach. I wonder if any youngsters read this blog? They’ll, just like I did, and think it’ll not happen to be, getting dithery, dozy and daft as a brush. Haha!

Night Shots From the Kitchen Window
Peaceful looking?
Lights out time.
Sky again to the left.

Here are the results of the carers tested for their BP.
All looking good!

Well into the morning now, I’d better get some nosh done.
I shall report back with a sit-rep for you every one of my avid readers in the morning. Hope you both sleep well. Har-Har!

03:00HRS: AT LAST… FOOD!
Vegetable Chilli-Con-Carne!
Breadsticks, a banana, and an iced lolly for afters.
Flavour-Rating: 9.2/10!

Got bedded down around 03:20hrs, and low & behold, was waiting ready to start again. But I did get off eventually and had nearly three hours of bliss. .

So I thought I had a delivery coming between 7 & 8, and it was already 07:15hrs; a semi-panic-mode was engaged and I got up in a bit of a rush; Dizzy Dennis visited, and I plumped down again, with a foggy head. Then realised it was Sunday.

Inchy: Friday 8th Sept 2023 – With Moments of Mental Yobbery!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Easy-Peazy! Even I found it in about ten minutes! Hehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

A had me over in the kitchen, and onto the floor, within about ten minutes of waking up.  But, he was assisted by giving way at the same time. Clouted my cheek on the corner of the counter on the way down with a sort of crunch-thud. Haha!
Minutes later, when I was shaving, made me turn to get , and I completely misjudged it. I spun around, giving the door frame a half-decent shoulder charge. I turned quickly when  I thought I may have left the tap (faucet) running, which did the trick. I must have splashed some of the soapy water on the floor, and soon found it! Luckily I fell against the shower chair, which saved me struggling to get back up again, at least. A good start!

The night pouch was even darker this morning, (which I don’t think is good for my chances of ever getting the bothersome and sometimes painful, always frustrating, and/or irritatingly, often needing to be emptied, which meant a trip to the wet room then kitchen to clean up) removed permanently.
Whipped back the balcony window curtain, using the long picker-upperer, To see the view of the morning mist, surrounding the flat’s complex.
I went onto the balcony, to try and take a photo of the front car park through the glass.
It didn’t come out well, as you can see from this fudgy picture that I took. Not so good?
I got some potatoes in the crockpot straight away. I did this because there’s always a chance that my ever-present, will allow me to forget later.
I spent some time sorting the waste bins out. Got them placed at the front door, so the Carer can see them and take them to the waste chute for me; bless them.

Onto the computer, I’m so far behind with the blogging, and I got settled to have a good bash and try to catch up. Hehehe! I should have known better, of course. A Porc failedDemand for the , so off to the wetroom, which produced no evacuations, just effort, pain and failure to perform. Haha! A little bleeding. So, I cleaned up and shaved, applied
Germoloid ointment. Which was a blessed relief! Shaved & washed. The Carer arrived. Medications & eye drops issued. I took my and his BP. Benjamin’s was great! Mine was not so good. As was expected.
I did Carer Chris’s later on.
Here are the written figures before they went onto the NHS sight for analysis. One came out as Normal, the other as Ideal. Two Fit Carers I have!

The shortage of Olive Oil for my ears was wrangling at me, still. So I had another search for medical olive oil and found that Ocado, do some.
So, made an order for groceries to be delivered on Monday, hoping the Ocado have some in stock to send.

I spent hours and hours catching up on blogging and artwork on CorelDraw for future blogs. Despite this, I am still far behind schedule.

Suddenly the last Carer call was done, and I hadn’t used the , Nor had I had anything to eat… no, that’s a fib. I’ve had a banana and several of the gorgeous Le Petit Beurre biscuits. Irresistible, in fact, I’m sorry I found them now. They should be banned! Haha!

A late meal was hastily prepared. The potatoes I’d put in the crock-pot, about 14 hours earlier, were drained and on the plate. I added the last of the just out-of-date smoked ham, after sniffing each piece. some were removed. The yellow & red tomatoes, these were four days out of date, but tasted lovely. Some bits of no-butter butter were placed on top of the potatoes. Some tangy sauce on the plate, to dip the bread with ham squashed in them… nice! The tasteless Asda raspberry ready-made jelly was well-edible to me.
Then… as I was picking up the tray of fodder… again, I got a hit. And the plate and food had to be scraped up from the tray and floor! I was in semi-agony by the time I cleaned things up and dolloped the once attractive-looking food back on the plate. But I ate it all, well, not the bits with dust from the floor on them.
Flavour Rating: 4.8/10!

Then, I got weariness and tiredness come very late for me. Got the pots washed, and I honestly almost fell asleep at the sink doing them! Flavour Rating: 8.8/10!

As I was checking that the taps (faucets), and hobs were not left on, and made my way out of the door, I remembered I’d not checked the fridge and freezer doors. Went back to do so.
They were okay, and the view outside I thought was amazing for the early hours of the day. Taking this photo of the houses, I noticed how surprisingly light the sky looked for this time of day?

I almost dropped into the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, in search of .
But with almost immediate effect, began his tirade of fear, guilt and shame-producing verbals.

The Git!
.
Ah, well…

Today, I almost relaxed; It went less rancorously!
I still hate HMG for living costs & acting recessionary…
It’s down to them, and the power of the Oligarchy!
Thought Storms were there,
But somehow, I coped uncaringly…
Not that the day went happily or cheerfully…

, was a bully,
Concentrationless, confusionableness; barmy!

There was sparse logic or congruency!
Decisions, and actions, were taken bathetically,
Indeed, the whole day went chimerically,
Hence I wrote this piece of cacography!
The day was full of anfractuosity…
I didn’t get much worthwhile done, you see…
Spent most of the time self-admonishingly!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Mmm… a little dark this morning?

Sorted the waste bins into one bag, and put it near the door.

Looking good?

Mist clearing sooner today.

Made a brew of Glengettie, and dunked a few (3) of my newly discovered favourites biscuits. Tasted buttery, with an iota of salt taste. No bother to the bad teeth!

Aha, at last, some relief from pain, from !

Worked conscientiously on getting the Wednesday blog done.
But with so many interruptions, and me forgetting I’d not done it, it was well late by the time it was posted.

A couple of snaps were taken.
Both through the glass in the balcony.
The top one didn’t come out well. Tsk!
The bottom field shot was an improvement.

Started cooking the meat for the stewpot.

Potatoes in the slow cooker.

Then did a search of the web, to see where I may be able to get some of the Samaritan Olive Oil, for the ears. I’ve only got a day or two worth left to use. Spent yonks on searching and failing. The only one available was from Amazon, and I’ve finished with them, because their last three deliveries were left by the driver down in the main lobby, and I didn’t even know they’d been delivered! Other stuff left as well. I’m not up to going all that way down repeatedly in hopes that they will be there. I used to check on the internet tracker, but of course, often this was not possible; Due to failing… I found one other company that delivered it. Made an account with them (that took me an hour). Filled in the contact details, and as I was about to put the bank details in, I saw an icon: ‘Click here to ensure we can deliver to your area’; so I did – and they couldn’t. Shit!
What a waste of time! I’ll ask if any carer is on Amazon and I can pay then and ask if they can order some for me. I’ve asked Chris, Benjamin and Marie for now, but all a no-go. Someone must be on Amazon who can help me? Never mind, I’ll investigate if I can use cooking olive oil on the web tomorrow. I can search the supermarkets for olive oil sprays as well.

More searching on the web, and I spotted that Morrisons claim to sell it. This brought forth great joy, and I got on their site to order some Samaritan Olive Oil. I nearly broke into a smile!
My favourites came up, and knowing that a minimum order of £40 was needed, I ordered other stuff to make the required total.
When I put in ‘Samaritan Olive Oil’ it indicated that this is not recognised or in stock! Another hour-plus lost without any luck!
Made worse by… you can probably guess what’s coming…
Yet still, it didn’t get to me like it usually would have? Worrying this is. Also, I had a few visits from , and the days mock, unexplainable accepting of things, no came to an end.
I poddled to the wet room to have a shave and en route, had an ; it didn’t have me over but caused my right shoulder to wallop into the door frame. And all was forgotten about the minutes-earlier farces, and all felt, was how lucky I was not to have gone down on the floor! Even when burst into life! I’d drifted back into my earlier mode of ‘Hey Hoeidness!’ Of course, how long this will last, depends on the aggressiveness of my ailments, getting the flu jab done, and finding a way to get some ‘Samaritan Olive Oil’ for the ears. Also, depending on the mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, grotesque succubae, Whoopsiedangleplops, ailments, extraterrestrials, ectoplasm, spirits, accifauxpas, rent increases, food price hikes, and the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited, currently contented but pointless, insaneness of mind?

The evening looked very nice.

Good heavens. look at the time!

Oh, the food! Crikey I’ve left it on the hob cooking!
Turned off the computer, not even having made a start on this template yet… All save! Phew!
By gum that was nice!
Flavour-Rating: 902/10.
Worth all the time and effort to make, for once!.
As I started to eat it, the Carer Arrived!

Finished the nosh and went to clean the pots & dishes.
Beautiful night sky again!
Straight ahead from the kitchen window…
Then to the left a bit…
Does anyone remember the ‘Golden Shot’ quiz on the telly?
Bob Monkhouse compared it…
Left a bit… Up a bit… A smidge right… Shoot!
A great show, I thought. Produced by ATV for ITV between 1 July 1967 and 13 April 1975, based on the German TV show Der Goldene Schuß. The hostesses distracted from the games sometimes, but… Hehehe!

Let’s have no cheating, please… Hehehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
My eyes were hurting when I woke up with a jerk. Before getting the night pouch off the catheter, I’d taken two naughty, but effective strong Nurofen tablets. I keep some near the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner, on the Ottoman, within reach. By the time I’d got the pouch off and made a brew, the pain had eased a lot from the right eye… not the left though. I didn’t take any more naughty painkillers, cause the Carer will be here to give me some Paracetamol & Codeine. Don’t want to overdo things. I’m not saying KI wasn’t tempted to, though.
A highlight of pleasantness arrived in the form of Nurse Hristina from the DVT Anticoagulation Clinic to take some blood for INR analysis. The poor thing sounded like she had a sore throat. Bless her cotton socks. Such a lovely kind lady.
Carer Chris arrived. Eyes and medications issued. Started the blogging update, and it happened yet again, even as early as this. Carer Victor did the midday and early evening calls. The weariness and tiredness dawned, and I went off on the Ode word-finding mission that took me hours and hours. KI just couldn’t stop; the brain seemed to be blinkered?

A bad start got worserer. And yet, when I semi-recovered my grasp on things, I was so cheerful about it.
No time or instinct for taking photos, although I did take a few. Carer Victor took some of the evening sky for me. But through the balcony windows

The night pouch is nice & fullish, a good colour.

Sorted the waste bags into one.
The scratches on the wall, came from when I fell over getting the bags in position and the walking stick hit the paintwork..

Sported out some bladder-filling bottles.

A mug of Glengettie went down well.

Evening Carer Victor arrived, and eye drops and medications were done. He took these snaps through the balcony glass.

I finished the blog and sent it off.

Made up several templates, which was time-consuming, but I was pleased I got them done. A long job and I made many mistakes in doing it. No doubt I’ll find more when I use them.

Turning of now, so weary, and the flaming eye seems to get worse as the night approaches.
Back in the morning, all being well, like. Haha!

Roving Reporter Inchy (well, moving occasionally around the flat anyway), is back with this catch-up report.

Carer Victor arrived, waking me from a period of sleep, that was free of interference from . A precious rarity that, of course, they returned the instant I nodded off after getting down in the after Victor had departed.
Medications were issued, the night pouch readied, eye drops put in, and he helped me get the chips out of the oven and onto the plate for consumption. (Is that the right word?)

The chips were burnt to my favourite crispiness; well, with my shortage of teeth, they can be sucked at. Haha!Yellow tomatoes, and soy balls. Flavour-Rating: 8.2/10!

Down on the c1968, non-operational, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, germ-breeding, Harold Haemorrhoid-Testing, sickenly beige-coloured, crumb covered recliner, in search of sleep. But, it was not to be!
Made sure of that! I was getting s smidge wee’d off with this and got up to wash the food things.
Glad that I did now; the evening sky had a great hue to it. I fetched Kodak Keith and tried my best to get a decent shot of the view on offer. was bothersome. She had been all day really come to think of it, and when I was getting settled at the window, kicked off, too.

My first photographicalisationing shot came out wobbly-shaky, to say the least. But it was different if nowt else…
A never-been-known for months, determination rose from within my demented afflicted brain. I was not going to give up this time! My resolve cost me a lot of time. Getting gently wedged on the window locking block, I tried again to take a better picture… but no, it came out terrible again. So, putting some paper towels behind the block, to help keep the botherations from and to a minimum, I tried again…
Aha, that one came out betterer. For me, anyway.

Back in the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold-Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner.
To my utter pleasure and delight, there was no interference from . I had a few mini-dreams; they were each doom-ladened, depressing, confusing themes.

TTFNski, all!

Inchy: Sunday 3rd September 2023 – Sight, hearing & sleep, seeked!

The left cataracted eye is looking like I’ve taken a right hook from somebody! Mind you, looking again, so does the right one? But only the left one is painful. Although the left one was expected to be like this, I learnt of the right one only having one cataract that needed doing, and the left one had a cortical, and two nuclear cataracts done. Marching on… left, left, left, right left… Hehehe!  I’m still getting confused with so many eye medications to be done. How the Carer’s keep up with it I don’t know. I’ve written down the roster needed: AM on waking up: Blepharitis Gel, left eye only. Five minutes later, the 4-Times a day.
First Carer call: drops, for times a day, to be inserted by the Carers. The gel is AM & PM only. Then , this is to be applied by me, four times a day. The Dry Eye pads are to be used three times a day, applied by me. Instruction was supplied on how to do this properly. The Blepharitis liquid is applied on a pad and can be used morning and evening ‘If required’ in case of any pains, signs of bruising or red-eye appear. Well, they have all appeared!
Basically, I haven’t much idea what I’m doing!.
No doubt about it, when I caught the eye early in the morning, it hurt, and the redness started to appear! Left eye only then. However in the afternoon, as I was doing the pad cleansing job, had a go at me, and I caught the eye again! Then it got such a nuisance, that I had to abandon the blogging for a long time until things eased off and more vision was available. Humph!
Then, muggings here got into word-finding files.
So, cannot see, cannot hear, cannot get any sleep, and am generally desperate to make time…
Not much time for blog-creating again.
Onward… Not much today, Sorry.

The second meal of the day – A rarity?

So many ailments attacking today. The most annoying and bothersome one was without a doubt; . For constant sheer pain, and causing me balance loss. The above-average ones were , and . With support from & a particularly persistent kept failing.
An awful lot of jobs that I could not handle were being left undone. How I’ll ever catch up is beyond me.
The Domestic did not turn up for her hour of cleaning; she’s catching up with her due holidays she told me two weeks ago, so no blame there. The flat is getting untidy now, and beginning to look uncared for. A messy carer’s desk with bits of tablet packaging residue on the carpet. But it’s too dodgy for me to start bending and cleaning in the state I’m in. Sarah the City-Care OT, sent me an email, telling me not to bend down, amongst other advice:

Mission impossible for some of the suggestions. How can the carers find time or staff to help me clear the room? They can’t supply the domestic now. They’ve had to cut down the hour, to half an hour, of financial assistance. It is the holiday period now; the poor devils are struggling. Staff are taking their breaks when they can, before the time runs out, can’t be helped mind you. I know how difficult it is, being in the same position when I was Security Controller at Sawley Security, a nightmare! Mission Impossible for them as well, re this guidance.  Everything is getting behind schedule, and my already dilapidated memory is suffering; I’m trying to catch up, and things get further behind. Now, the eyes & hearing have joined forces & stopped me from doing things. Hey-Ho!

INCHY: Friday 1st September 2023 – Scaevity Continues!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Many problems in getting everyday things done. They were affected by things genitourinary, with the genitourinary problems. The flow kept changing and needing attention, emptying and checking every few minutes!  The hot water went cold again – I think the maintenance was working on the system, as a lot of noise could be heard throughout the day from above, which stopped around 16:00hrs. So, no wash and shave again. I dare not risk carrying hot water about with my eyes so bad, and of course, there is always the threat of an attack by an ailment? , , , , or even a chance of bleeding, which could mean a hasty rush to the wet room with the possibility of another tumble or trip. I have to admit to being a little nervous; the views from the left eye keep changing into a sort of blurred kaleidoscope-like vision. Often giving me the impression that someone is in the room with me.

But the Surgeon did warn me of this, but it’s a disturbing facet. No doubt the reason this left eye cataract procedure is more painful & bothersome, is that the right eye had one cataract, but this little monkey had three! One Cortical and two Nuclear. Wondered why they gave them this name? Hehe!Saw the funny side of this!

Phone calls from the Anticoagulation DVT Unit, the Doctors Surgery, with the results of INR Warfarin Test at the Hospital yesterday; and a change in Warfarin dosage. Also reminded me that I had not booked in for a flu jab yet!  Which I attached to the Carers book cover. He wanted me to call at the surgery, for a fact-updating visit? After I explained my problems with getting to the surgery, he said that the nurse would call me on Monday or Tuesday next week. Forgot which!

The most welcome call from Nurse Hristina, from the DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Anticoagulation unit at the Queens Medical Centre, and pictures of her face as she told me she would be calling on Monday or Tuesday next week to take more blood samples. Gawd she’s such a caring beauty! ♥. Damn, my being born too late! Hahaha!

There were a few occasionally throughout this Friday’s happenings. I missed the mug altogether when putting the water in the tea mug. Lucky, though, only a mess to clear up. Somehow, the hot water missed landing on my bare feet altogether. Yes, nothing short of a miracle that one! The nasty one was going into the wet room, the eye misjudged the distance from the door frame, and I now have a little swelling behind the left earhole where I earhole-butted the door. This also caused more pain in the affected eye. Aye, it’s not all good luck. Tsk! Later on, I missed the computer desk altogether with a bottle of spring water! That was another semi-harrowing and annoying event. This bottle landed right on my At least it didn’t burst open! I did however manage to add another of my to the list; when I got down to pick up the bottle, getting back up, I , and that made me smart a bit, just after it had been assaulted by the bottle. Then… I realised that , forced me into the wet room. Forgetting that I needn’t have bothered, because I’m now completely out of any of the Daktacort ointment… as I am of Germoloids and Olive Oil for the ear-holes! Things were not going very well! Of course, being the confident, Glass-Half-Full, cheerful nature that I am, this didn’t bother me at all… I laughed it off! Within an hour of starting the blogging, I realised I would be in difficulty; the eye strain was bad enough. But the flipping drops need doing four times a day, which means taking off the eye patch and mass of taping that held it in place for the drops, then starting again to get the thing in a position so I could use the good eye for computing, without putting pressure on the pad. This didn’t work out very well at all. The pad slipped repeatedly, and I spent ages getting them back on, only for a carer to come and take it off, to apply the drops. They couldn’t help me with replacing the patch and glasses, cause of the danger of them catching my eye. Understandable!
The sudden being overcome by weariness and tiredness came even soon
er today. I made an early meal, ate it and drifted off.
Woken by the teatime caller. Left the eye patch off after that, too weary to bother, as all I planned to do was sleep. Which lasted for three hours. The Carer returned a little early, not that it matters, woke me up and put the in the eye, Painkillers were issued, and the was attached to the day bag on
Then, at last, I could get some sleep without fear of being woken up… But, No! Of course not! I should’ve known this… Within seconds of dropping off into the bliss of sleep… then, the started! These ideas, thoughts and self-accusations even caught me out… Some were from 72 years ago! I’d totally forgotten about many of the waves of shame, embarrassment and mistakes I’d made, but, they were recalled by , he was in right getting-at-me mood tonight! So many things I’d sooner have regurgitated, flowed into my mind, many unfathomable and or confusing. Along with those from so long ago… Guilt Mode Engaged!

Photos & recollections, didn’t do too many, not up to much

04:20hrs: The night pouch was released. A bit darker today!

Kitchen to get the kettle on. Dank-looking morning view of the bottom field, across from the flats

But they took some moving in the first place…
I even did some cross-wording before things plopped out!

Back to make the brew, and got on the computer. Not that I could see much, and things took aeons to get done.

Mystery photo, here?

Gave up computing after doing the introduction. My vision was not good, and my concentration was even worse I think. Sat down with my feet up
Just about settled enough to get some sleep, and Carer Chris arrived.
Took his BP, excellent results. SYS114, DIA67 Pulse78 & Temp 37.8c. Showed up on the NHS result as ‘IDEAL’. Good for Chris! Me? Jealous? No!

After Chris had gone, I went back on the computer again.
As I got up, I noted the legs were better looking… I think.
Love those white tootsies! Hehehe!

Early nosh sorted out. Franks, tomatoes with added basil and sea salt. The last two bread rolls, Panini, I think they were called. Loads of air bubbles inside? Taste: 7/10.

Had to give up again on the computer; the tiredness and weariness came on early again, just as yesterday.

Soon nodded off, and a heck of a nightmare; that seemed to last a lifetime was experienced. It made no sense; one moment I was climbing up a steep hill, then falling and sliding down a hill of shingle… into a canal and as I was drowning, I found myself in an underground cave, with weird creatures chasing me all over the place, making giggling noises. They were only very little and skinny, but I was afraid of them? Then the whole scenario started again, the same them but a different canal. The next time it played in my brain, the little people were ginormous… a subtle change every time it replayed.
Can’t remember how many times I went through it. But there seemed to be no end to the storyline. It just seemed to restart the reel in my head, with subtle changes to each earlier episode I dreamed of. All without any outcome to the tales of woe. Does anyone have any ideas or input, please? Am I going bonkers? Or, should say, bonkerser?

Carer Chris arrived for his last call of the day, waking me up. Fitted the night bag, painkillers given, and eye drops done. I did the lotioning. We had a little natter, that I didn’t follow very well… not that it mattered, he was Facebook on his phone. Hahaha!

I soon nodded of again, hoping the repeat dream would return… I wish it had now; kicked off, and really ruined any chance of a good kip.

I found this photo pm the SD card. I must have missed this one off, too, from yesterday, methinks.
From last night’s ‘Heartbeat’ methinks?

Some more photos to go on tomorrow, eyes and Peripheral Neuropathy Pete, permitting. It’s nearly midnight now, better get this posted.

Inchy: Tuesday 29th August 2023 – Common Sense Embargo Day

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
What a fantastic day it was today it was! Marvellous, gay, abandoned, happy, rewarding, stimulating...
Fair enough, it’s just that I’m getting fed up to the one-and-a-half back teeth I’ve got left; with my own wailing & moaning about life’s naturally unlucky, perversive, frustrating pattern of late! In fact, it was a lot easier than yesterday’s doom, gloom and despondency & pessimism. But, not by a lot!
I did the usual going off track when doing the blogging and found myself working on the rhyming words list again. So, it is now nearly 22:00hrs and I’m only just starting on this blog. Tired out, weary and fighting falling asleep. I’ve not yet had a meal, or shave, and I’ve been up since 02:55hrs! has had far greater success in getting me confused and misled. But one thing was like yesterday: instead of giving myself bad language and feeling sorry for myself, I’ve just said ‘Sod-it’ a few times, and was totally unaware of the things I’d not done, and started different things done, which confused me more than ever!
I think I need help. Hehehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Woke, I looked at the clock and tried to get back to sleep, but without any luck, but I did try.

So about 02:55hrs, I got the night pouch removed from , then hauled my elephantine body from the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner. Temporarily, I had a desire to get so much done… it didn’t last long.

I went to check that no taps (faucets) or the stove had been left on, and I got the kettle on for a mug of Glengettie.

Got the waste bags sorted out.

To the wet room for a wash and get the medicationalisationings tackled. Shortages of medications: Germoloid, Germolene, Olive Oil and Nasal Spray! Tsk!

I’m not sure if I have some new leg water papules coming up or not. New spots of some sort? The feet seemed to have differing colours; they started like this last time the feet legs and especially the ankles blew up? I’ll check later.
The white area on the toes seems to be getting bigger? My email, American Petal-Angel Lisa, suggested this may be Reynauds? I must look this ailment up. ♥

Got the computer on with a view to getting a good early start on yesterday’s blog finishing. But, no! With an hour of getting not much done was on…

The Asda order arrived while I was in another wait for the
to start again.
A big order today… Fridge products sorted…
Then, the frozen ones…
Too much bread in stock! Tsk!
Fridge cram-packed…
Bladder Belinda liquids built up…
My new favourites, are LU soft lemon-flavoured cakes. Very nice indeed. During the day I ate two of these, four shortcake biscuits and two bananas. No meal yet but I may stay awake long enough to make something. Or not!
Very nice, too!

Three hours after getting back on the computer.
Brown-outs had grown to ten.
But seemed to be getting far less now?.

Then, my wandering off onto the word listing for the odes began! I spent hours on it, just not realising.
Carer Kara called twice, and Carer Benjamin also.

As I was eating the second banana and taking this photo…
I felt the warm liquid in the lower region inside the Protection Pants! I knew immediately that this was a bad one.
Off to the wet room, it was I’m afraid due to . And no Daktacort Cream left! Stopping the flow of blood took me ages. Messed up my legs, dirtied the floor, and annoyed me so much. Once the flow stopped and I’d spent aeons medicating, it cost me another hour just to get the floor and myself clean again. The haemoglobin seemed very thick this time?
I returned to the computer, cursing, almost spitting, and feeling rather pissed off again. Especially when my pathetic ground to a halt again.
But it was the last failure. Bless them!

Carer Benjamin arrived for the late call. I was in a surprisingly perky mood for some reason. I took his blood pressure and temperature. All came out in NHS normal band: 123/68, Pulse 68 & Temperature 36.8 all good.

I went to the kitchen to put the oven on for hopefully some chips to bake. And took these two shots of the evening sky.
Bootiful!

00:25hrs: I did some more on this blog. Then got the nosh sorted and were cooking.

Have a Great Day, Each!
