GM0056Sat0403:15hrs: I woke up, with the theme tune, “Life, is the name of the game, and I wanna play the game with you” ringing in my head? It took me a while to recall where the tune was from.

It was the introduction to Bruce Forsyth’s Generation Game. What brought this to mind, I don’t know. But I do remember watching it all those years ago and being amazed at how much work Bruce put into it to make it work. My favourite Game Show of them all on TV.

On the radio, it was Just a Minute, with host Nicholas Parsons, Clement Freud, Kenneth Williams, Derek Nimmo, and Peter Jones, they were my preferred panellists. Two shows I hated to miss, and the reason for my buying my first tape recorder and DVD. Ah, they were the days!

I seem to remember getting home and putting the motorbike away in a rush, to get in and my new colour TV (Wigfalls 3/6d [17½p] a week rental) on to watch it. Happy Days! The Larry Grayson and Jim Davidson efforts at hosting the later shows, were as expected, abysmal. I just thought I’d mention it, like.

As I lay there, hearkening back to my more confident, happy and in good health days, the stomach-churning burst into life. Thus the one thing that mattered (I thought at the time), was to escape the £300, second-hand, none-working, c1968, rickety recliner, catch my balance and stick, to get to the wet room lickety-split! Which, I surprised myself in doing quickly and accident-free, Slight swagger mode adopted (Temporarily).

WDP Dec 26bWD 0.95.0 I shall not go into too much detail of the terrible, trying, tantamount to agony-ridden evacuation.  But Constipation Conrad had the upper-hand in the battle. I was on the Throne for about 20-minutes. The crossword book as tackled. Blood flowed. And all with the one line of the ‘the Generation Game’ milling about in my head. Hehe!

WD 0.95.0 Then, as I made my way to the kitchen, Toothache Terence kicked off. Soon to be joined by Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun. And extra Cocodamol was taken with the Codeine and other medications. For about five minutes, the mind-haze and memory loss had me worried. I was so close to pressing the alarm wristlet, thinking what can tell them, how do I explain what I’m going through without sounding potty? I was so pleased when things seemed suddenly to go back to my usual, merely semi-confused state. Yet, puzzled to how quickly and abruptly, things changed again.

WD 0.95.0 Of course, this triggered the fretting all over again, it always does when I have a memory blank, even a short couple of minutes one like this; I just had to check things, taps, lights, stove, door. When I got to the hallway, I found two letters on the floor.

6Sat07

One double-sided A4 from Citycare. I p[ointed out their plans an dedication to making sure we are all safe and instructed us what to do if we have any of the symptoms of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). We have to call 0300 131 0300 – Option 1, then Option 5, between 0830am to 1700hrs pm, Monday to Friday. Being as it is Saturday morning now, I hope I do not get any symptoms for two days.

WD 0.95.0 They also kindly gave us a 107 digit email address to use. That’s a guess at the number, cause Saccades-Sandra is playing up and I can’t focus properly to read it. Luckily, Saccades and other ailments I have are not sufficient to get me a weekly food parcel. So, I shall be of no bother to them. And am so glad that Nottinghamshire County Council, have supplied Sister Jane and hubby Pete with a delivered box of food weekly. Jane told me this while she was out shopping for eggs, bacon and some wine. They didn’t take the car or electric bike with them, that remained in the new garage at the mansion on the tree-lined avenue, with the eleven CCTV cameras, burglar alarms, pressure alarm pads and wine cellar. But, I’m contented in my three-roomed flat and being isolated and unable to get food.

Shame I don’t qualify for a weekly food parcel, but there you are. I’ll just stay here, with Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters dying and Peripheral Neuropathy making me have accidents and dropping things, scolding myself etc., Mechanical Aorta valve replacement, Hernia Harold, Burgabasia-Bernie, Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, Stuttering Stephany, Anne Gyna, Rheumatoid Arthur Itis, Little Inchies Fungal Lesion bleeding away accompanied my Haemarrahoid Harold, Fluid Retention Robert, Furesomide induced wee-wees, Craig Cramps, Dizzy Dennis, Back-Pain-Brenda, falling over when I get an involuntary Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance from Neuropathic Nigel’s right leg, Conrad Constipation, Reflux Valve Roger sticking, Prediabetes Petunia demands, injecting Enoxaparin in my tummy,  battling and getting injured by the Sock-glide, coping with the memory blanks, and picking at the bloodied scars from Clopidogrel Clive’s growths on my legs.

As I said, at least I don’t qualify for a food parcel, like others who have cars, wealth, health and the nerve to accept their food parcels. At least I have Jenny ♥ keeping her eye on me, and others, and a caretaker who brought me a bottle of bleach when he heard I couldn’t get enough.6Sat02

But, it doesn’t bother me at all! Tsk! Hehehe!

WD 0.95.0 I made a start on checking Emails and went to check up on the latest Coronavirus statistic.

Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failed at just the wrong, the most inopportune time!

The right hand did one of its as yet rare, shooting off in varying directions, just as I was typing. The bout merely lasted a few seconds.

But it was long enough for me to get this these two windows to appear on the computer screen!

I don’t know what the fingers or hand hit to get these up, but it frit me I can tell yers!

Being a computer workings idiot is not easy. Becoming one was!

I thought I’d buggered it up now! Understanding things, working out what it was on the screen was beyond me.

Fear of losing the computer and depression took over the mind for a minute or two.

I closed the windows and sighed muchly with relief when things 6Sat03seemed to be working okay.

Maybe, if things ever get back to normal, I might be able to find a college or something that runs courses on understanding the workings of a computer. What am I thinking? with my memory? And the courses will be night ones! And Nicodemus’s nerve-ends are dying anyway, so are not going to get any better, only worse, which means I’ll have to eventually give up computing all together, that hurts!

I continued to search for the virus figures. I don’t think they are anything to get too hopeful about yet.

I went to make a mug of Glengettie and came out of the doldrums a little. Especially as I made the brew, without any spills, shakes or nerve-end interference. That was a nice change.

WDPh 01WD 0.95.0A Then, carrying the tea into the junk room, I dropped the mug! I was so low in spirits, it didn’t seem to bother me much. I just cleaned up the mess, thinking how lucky I was in not breaking the cup.

I was determined to pull myself from the darkness.

The cold sunshine went in, and a tiny few spots of a shower fell. It lasted only for a minute or so. I carefully made another brew, Thompsons Punjana this time. Then took a couple of pictures of Chestnut Walk. There was still an earthy petrichor smell already, which was lovely.

6Sat11

A couple of free parking spaces, and no illegal parking at this end of the walk, ah, Saturday innit! Oh, I just noticed there was a bit of naughty parking on the double yellow lines. I think they have wisely decided to ignore this activity, with us having so few spaces available.

At long last, I got the updating started for the Friday blog. Soon got it finished, thanks to Nicodemus being kind, and despite Shaking Shaun doing his best to knobble my typing. Haha!

The rear-end wind continues to plump and plop, but not foul-smelling. Ah, I must take a mug of Macrogol first. If Colin Cramps lets me, he’s having another bash at the poor old fingers now. Dangwangles!

6Sat12WD 0.95.0 Checked the comments. Then some bits on Pinterest. Next, the WordPress Reader. Then onto TFZer Facebooking. Then I tried to get an Iceland order in, but no luck, slots unavailable. Even if they were, I can still only be allowed one bottle of bleach. Nowhere near enough for a week for me. Thankfully, Robert, our caretaker brought me a bottle that’s getting me through for a few days.

6Sat13Much CorelDrawing, making graphics for the blog tomorrow.

Mental fatigue made me leave the CorelDrawing.

I got the handwashing sorts out. Dressing gown, jammie bottoms and socks. All done, wrung and hung. I put the gown to hang in the wet room.

Got the ablutions done. No sock-glide confrontation, I left the bamboo socks off. The dropsies were a little higher than of late, that would be due to Nicodemus’s nerve-ends not sending any contact messages to the brain. At times this can get confusing and so frustrating. Especially when folks say, ‘Just be careful!’ Looking 6Sat19at me as if I’m an idiot.

Which is true! Haha! Because the neurotransmitters fail to tell the brain, as they come on and off-line variably and at their will.

WD 0.95.0A The shaving produced a few tiny nicks, nowt serious. Little Inchies lesion had bled only a few spits, again, no hassle; even the applying of the Cortiscord cream was not too painful. Which was a nice change for me!

6Sat18I got the nosh sorted out. Chicken breast, and tried the weirdly named Iceland fries, branded as ‘Naturally Imperfect Chips’. They were okay. The chicken breasts were a bit rubbery. Some seaweed crispies and an apple on the side on another plate. Two mini-Vienesse lemon cakes. No, that’s what they are called. I went to look at the part empty box. Lemon Whirls. A can of the delightfully tangy Clementine drink, too.

Ate it all, and I’d had my fill. Oh, the apple was awful, soft, dry! Never mind. A Flavour Score of 6/10.

I went to do the washing up and espied some dogs taking their owners for a walk in the bottom field.

6Sat17

I wish I could have a cat here in the flat, but I can understand the impracticality of it fully. I can take tumbles easily enough now, with the dizzies and neuropathic dancing legs, Arthur Itis… and a multitude of others with a ‘Let’s-Have-Inchcock-all-over-fancying’ nature. Imagine me having a pet to fall over as well! Hehehe! But it’s still sad making.

I got down in the Zyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting when I was in the Stroke Ward, and pilfering my money, recliner.

I watched a film all the way to the end; but with perhaps about fifteen few-minute nod-offs in between. Waste of time, I couldn’t follow the plot.

I lay afterwards, trying to ignore the rampant Thought-Storms, mostly of guilt, self-hatred, and isolation problems.

I must have nodded off eventually, cause I woke up in the morning! Hangalisationing Horror-time!

GM GreensLWD 0.50.0 2 02:10hrs: I woke with two voices talking to me, both apparently, mine? One said “Sod-it, go back to sleep,  soddum all!” the naughty me. The other, obviously a more conscientious me, said, “Don’t mess about, it takes you that long to get anything done nowadays, here is your chance to get caught up on your CorelDrawing, come on, gerrup!” The naughty me won this argument, and I drifted off back into slumberland!

4Thu16WD 0.50.0 2 05:00hrs: I’d been having a bad dream, where I was being chased by a gang of armed, vicious, blood-thirsty hoodlums again, through demolished offices, I sprang awake. Passed wind violently, and the innards started churning and rumbling, and a tummy-ache of Defcon Two proportions kicked in. My immediate thought, was, is this through those damned pork and leek sausages I ate last night? They looked almost white, the skin was three or four times the usual thickness for wienerwursts, I was a bit doubtful about eating them at the time. But I think not, cause they were very mild with a delicate taste of leeks, any pork flavour had done a bunk.

WD 0.50.0 2 I had no option other than to get my still aching from cleaning up the flood mess body, dragged off of the £300, second-hand, c1968 recliner, with some difficulty. Arthur Itis and Back-Pain-Brenda being the main culprits. Grabbed the stick, and wobbled to the wet room.

WD 0.50.0 2 And to think that I thought yesterday’s last visit was a painful one! This was a painful one! I almost tired myself out with all the agonising force needed to get things through. But at least, the bleeding was no worse, and not a messy evacuation.

Washed, and off to make a brew and take the medications. Toothache Terence wasn’t too bad for once, so no extra painkillers were taken… of course, I’ll probably get a Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance, Dizzy Dennis spell, or Shaking Shaun attack and injure myself later, and end up taking one anyway. (Depressed? Lack of Confidence? Anxiety? Insecurity? Self-doubt?, Self-loathing? Nervousness? Defeatism? Negativity? Pessimism? Demoralised? Despondent? Melancholia? Me? Yes!)

I took a couple of snaps of the view outside. The mist was clearing, I just wish the fog of depression would go away from me.

5Fri01

WD 0.50.0 2 On to the computer, and made a start on the updating of the Thursday post. It became a tad farcical, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters were on and off, which meant it took me even longer than I expected. Saccades-Sandra kept making focussing difficult at times. But neither were consistent, they keep coming and going. This was getting to me today. Hours were lost in just correcting things done wrongly through the senseless fingers or Sandra’s blurring of vision. What with the floods that were my fault, the struggle to sort out food, not being considered at risk, so no food parcels, I fear that depression is coming over me again. Sickly, pathetic self-pity! Humph!

5Fri05I made the comments on WordPress and then went on the Reader Section.

My usual heart and enthusiasm were not with me. I didn’t, couldn’t, seem to snap out of it this morning.

I checked the emails, I can’t work out if the virus situation is getting easier or not. Confirmed cases seem to be getting fewer. But, of course, there are millions of people who have not had any checks yet, so, if they check fewer patients, the figure will go down? And the deaths recorded are only those who died in a hospital. The hundreds who have died in care homes or their own home are not registered. According to the Guardian newspaper anyway.

WD 0.50.0 2 Boy, I’m on a downer today!

I emailed the blog link and pressed on, stutteringly with this blog.

The landline tinkled and flashed. Sister Jane, who was out shopping, to get some eggs on Central Avenue in West Bridgford, rang me from the ‘Social Distance’ waiting queue! She said she was at number 18 on the list.

It really cheered me up a bundle, when I was informed that she and Pete had had there weekly freebie box of food delivered today. Fruits, canned goods, pasta, toilet rolls, vegetables, sauces, rice, cakes, bread etc., oh, I was pleased for them! I’m not complaining really (much!), I did get a loaf of bread and bottle of milk last week from the Nottingham City Council.

It seems I am not ill enough or do not have sufficient ailments for me to qualify as in need, for any food parcels. Nottingham County Council, give them out to fit people of the same age as me. Who are pools and lottery winners, have been left a fortune by unknown distant relatives, retired at 32, live in a mansion, on a tree-lined avenue, with a bus service at both ends of the road, car-owners as well! Luckily, this does not bother me.  Hehehe!

WD 0.50.0 2 Well, I might add something to the list of my ailments (Which are, Reflux Valve sticking, Mechanical Aorta Heart valve fitted, Duodenal ulcer, Hernia, Ever bleeding piles and awaiting a strangulation operation, Peripheral Neuropathy, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ischemic stroke, given Clopidgrel in hospital and found to be allergic to it, but it’s in my bloodstream, and blotches, lumps on the ever-changing legs have to be contended with now. Dizzy spells every day, At risk for falls, Saccades, Thrombophlebitis, and Neurotransmitters dying (right side of my body) which makes walking and keeping balance very difficult. Deafness, Warfarin for life, Bladder cancer. And now Stuttering-Stephanie (along with the deafness) is making life and communicating a bloody nightmare at times!

WDP 02LcBut this list above is not enough to get a food parcel. I’ll see if I can catch something else to add to these and try again. Depressed? Me?

5Fri08I went to make a start on prepping for the meal later. I got some canned potatoes in the saucepan, (Took them out of the can first, mind) and added some hoisin sauce and hickory.

WD 0.50.0a 2 I emptied the beef in onion into the pan with the potatoes. Unfortunately, Nocodemus’s nerve ends failed while I was pouring in the hickory, the whole lot tipped into the saucepan! I spent the next hour or so, keeping nipping in to extract some gravy and add boiling water, to weaken the juice. Boy, it was intense! Hehe! Another mess to clear up. Tsk!

The mist had cleared. I took a photo of towards Nottingham. Then zoomed right in to try and get a decent shot of the high-rise student flats right in the distance (Near the centre of the panorama photo).

5Fri04

A lady Vapour was taking her three doggies for a walk. I tried to catch all three dogs with her in one shot, but the younger one was very lively. Hahaha! I did manage to get one chance.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Well, I wanted to do some more graphics, but Saccades and Nicodemus decided I shouldn’t.

5Fri33So I got the nosh sorted out. I had overdone it with spilling the hickory into the stew. I and to remove a lot of gravy and weaken it, before serving it up. But it was worth the effort, it tasted most delightful! The flavour rating was a worthy 8/10.

I got it all slowly masticated and digested, got the washing-up done (Slow job).

The door chime rang out, and I stumbled to the door. It was Robert. Our caretaker, he’d kindly brought me a bottle of bleach. I think I must have mentioned to him on Wednesday, about not being able to get any. Kind of him. I ignorantly did not offer to pay for the bleach, I was half-out of things with Dizzy Dennis having a go at me at the time. Sorry, Robert, and thanks. Saved the day for me there!

WD 0.50.0 2 Settled to watch some TV, got my head down a bit earlier today, in hopes of getting some sleep in for a change. (Oy vey!) The self-derogatory thought-Storming started almost straight away! On, and on they flowed. Eventually, and thankfully, I nodded off…

WD 0.50.0 2 The landline rang and flashed, I struggled to get to the phone in time. I was the nice lady from the NCC Support Team. But Stuttering Stephanie came online, and the worst visit ever, I could hardly get words out, and when I did, the poor lady could not decipher them. Then said, “You don’t sound too well, I’ll ring you back later another day.” I thanked her, but then again, I think I thanked her and seemed to find myself back down on the recliner, with a blank period in between talking and getting sat down.

WDP 1LcbSleep had decided it would not return again, I’d upset it I think with keeping getting up.

I spent hours, musing, thinking, Thought-Storming, and passing wind!

GM brown L03:00hrs: I woke, and immediately started trying to solve the issues of the lost end of yesterday. I got nowhere, and am still none the wiser as to any actions for about a four hour period of Thursday evening. I spent a good while attempting to glean some memory, but no! The toothache began to come on, then.

Abruptly, the need for a wee-wee arrived. I fumbled my way out of the £300, second-hand, c1968, not-working (Broken by xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete), recliner. Caught my balance, got the stick, and over to the empty, unused overnight GPEWWB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency-Wee-Wee-Bucket). Thus, I was caught out by the violent nature of the TTSLTATO (Torrential-Throughout-Stopped-Like-Turning -A-Tap-Off) mode wee-wee!

wd 0.0.30 As I made my way to the kitchen, the demand for the Porcelain Throne came, so I diverted to the wet room. A contrary session compared to the last few; Not much input needed from me, very swiftly evacuated, no overly putrid pongs, far less painful, but messy in the extreme. A lot of the preciously-short supply of toilet paper had to be used. Much cleaning and medicating and the PPs changed. Oh, and the bleeding from Little Inchies fungal lesion and Harolds Haemorrhoids was minuscule.

Back to the kitchen. My waking up so late, the view was lighter than normal, so I took a shot of the lights straight ahead. Then, I stupidly thought I’d get the step ladders and take a shot of Chestnut Walk down below. Not easy of course, with the new, unwanted, unliked, thick-framed, light and view-blocking windows that let the rain in! It looked like a tenant, who had vacated the free parking space next to the white car, might have an oil leak?

5Fri05

5Fri007cwd 0.0.30A But, foolishly I thought if I take care, it should be safe enough. (Klutz!) I got the steps from the balcony without any bother, set them in position. And climbed up just two of the runs, and took the second picture on the way down. (Talk about bad timing!) Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failed, and an unintended no-control-over right-leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler Dance routine from the right leg for a few seconds only was enough to have me over on my back on the floor! Frumpworthy Grobblecurses! Still, it could have been worse. The tumble and landing were not too bad, but the getting back up again was painful and farcical. Good job I had the four-Pronger-stick with me at the time. Hey-ho!

I took the step ladders back and returned to imbibe the medications, oil the ear-holes, pain-gel the leg, spray the saccades stuff on the eyes, and make a brew of Morrison’s Extra Strong Black Assam tea. To the computer.

I started on CorelDraw, with making up some mini-graphics for the greeting pictures for the blog. Then I had to make up a template for today’s post. Then I got the updating done for the Thursday post, which proved easier and quicker than usual. This was helped by my not remembering much and probably missing off much of what happened in the evening. This is not unusual; it’s happening more often nowadays. I did mention it some months ago to the doctor, who wasn’t concerned, and I think DR Vindla had anticipated me starting to go a tad senile. Tsk!

I got the post completed anyway. Emailed some links to it. Then put a couple of graphics on Pinterest. All this in-between so frequent wee-wees, all of a variable mode, from dribble-drip to hose-pipe like ones? Then went on the WordPress Reader. Finally, a blast at the TFZer Facebooking.

5Fri01wd 0.0.30 I had a go at trying to find a food delivery shop with slots free. It would have been easier for me to appear as Prima Ballerina in Swan Lake! No chance! It’s getting harder, not more comfortable to get food!

I am a little concerned about the future.

5Fri06It was getting light already. I went to make another brew, of Thompsons Punjana. And I decided to get some mushrooms sliced and into the slow cooker for later in the day. I used the last of the light soy sauce, and balsamic vinegar to flavour the fungi. I might use the tin of minced beef with it, or I have one of the cook-in-the-bag braised beef I could use. Then again, I have a can of chilli baked beans and potato wedges in the cupboard… Mmm? My shilly-shallying, indecisiveness, and mental-stammering, really wee’s me off! Oh, I don’t know!

I made the tea, and returned to this blog, and made a start on it. I was doing well, until Saccades-Sandra kicked off, making eye-focussing a problem. And this slowed everything down again. The ever-having-to-correct-things mode had to be engaged! Frogglemoths!

5Fri11I took a break and went to make yet another brew, this time Glengettie. But I’m glad I did at that time. For outside, down on the bottom field, I saw a human being! Yes! Hehehe!

One man and his dog. I can’t say I’ve ever seen them before. Then again, under normal circumstance (Yes, I can remember them, just!), I would have been in the wet room at this time, doing my ablutions.

Amazing how watching this chap, probably the poor chap has been laid off from work, and his dog, playing fetch. The dog was a bundle of energy, just watching him tired me out. Hehe!

I got a feeling elation just watching the only two tellurians in my sight, so contended and happy!

The full of fun pooch will not be bothered by the Coronavirus! Bless him or her!

5Fri12I tried to get an Iceland delivery slot again. Fool!

Pressed on with CorelDrawing to do some graphics, but it’s a slow, frustrating job.

Then, things got complicated. Well, somewhat confusing for this old-timer. Things started to become busy suddenly. A business that required decisions and my memory to be used! Asking a lot this was. Hehehe! Tsk!5Fri13

wd 0.0.30 Jenny called, asking if I wanted some whole milk from her freezer. I could put it in the fridge to thaw out for later. I thanked her. And told her I’d leave the caramel wafers in a bag for her. I hastened to find them, but could not! Dummkopf! I knew I’d put them in a bag ready, but where, I have yet to discover! I found the other things I’d saved, but not the caramel wafers? I put them on the door-knob.

wd 0.0.30 I put the milk in the fridge door and the four letters I’d found on the floor, to the main room.

  • 5Fri16One letter was about the apartment’s rent.
  • Another about how the Nottingham City Homes are responding to the Coronavirus outbreak.
  • The third was an NCH one about the City Rates, with a Nottingham Arrow newsletter. I must find time to give it a perusal.
  • The last one was heartwarming, indeed! It was from someone signing it, “From ‘A Resident'”, and no name indicated. How amazing and kind some people are. A big thank you to whoever it was that donated these for me!

5Fri14

They will be super to counter the toothache! I took one straight-away! Cheers, and appreciation to my unknown benefactor!

I got back to CorelDrawing, but again, I did not get far, the landline chirped and flashed into life.

wd 0.0.30 It was Oberstgrüppenfhureress Desk-top dancer Warden Deana. She asked how things were and, had I any problems. I could have mentioned my Amnestic Syndrome Sinbad, Harolds Haemorrhoids, Anne Gyna, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters dying, Duodenal Donald, Toothache Thomas. (Stopped for a breather) Reflux Roger, Clopidogrel, Lethologica, Peripheral Neuropathy Pete, Thrombophlebitis Barry, Dysaesthnervesia Dai, Axonotmesis Axle, Konrad Confusion. (Stopped for a breather again) Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Shaun, Saccades Sandra, CDP, Deafness Derek, Flatulent Frank, Trotsky Terence, or the Neuropathic Schuhplattler dancing right leg, but I didn’t. Hehehe!

wd 0.0.30 I expressed my concerns over the prescriptions and would they be delivered. Deana said she would ring them and call back. She inquired about shopping help, and put me on ‘The Golden List’ Bless her for the assistance!

wd 0.0.30 I got back on CorelDraw. The shaking had stopped, but the weariness was dawning. A few minutes late, Deana rang again. The Golden Helpers will get in touch with me. I’d remembered the problems with not being able to get any cash, and mentioned it to Deana. Saying without the help I’d had from Jenny, I would be in a right pickle! She told me to tell the Golden people when they call. She would mention this to the volunteers, who might have a swipe machine, next time she speaks with them, what if anyone has no cash? I thanked her.

wd 0.0.30 Back to the Coreldrawing, yet again. The ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ tune rang out. I got to the door, and it was someone delivering part of the wax-removal kit I’d ordered some time in the distant past! No use, of course, the inserts without a rod to attached to use them. Humph! Still, at least I’m halfway there now, Haha! The problem with this Coronavirus ain’t going away!

I made a brew, during which it dawned on me (Things have been known to in the past, you know!) I’ve got to keep alert in case any helpers ring. So I can’t go in the shower in case I cannot hear the telephone, mobile or intercom ring. They may be phoning anytime from in two hours, up to tomorrow night, I think Deana said. This has kyboshed my plans for getting the ablutions done! I’m smelly, need a shave and medications doing? But if I do, I risk missing the shopping helpers, the Haemostasis, and DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Warfarin Anticoagulation Clinic at the Nottingham City Hospital, (Gawd I love that title!), or any possible answer from the Dentist.

Life has become such a struggle. Harrumph!

I’ll try to get a wash and shave in the kitchen, now. Means moving everything into there first, and must taketh care over dizzies, shakes and dropsies. Oh, dear, here goes!

I decided to use the wet room after all, and I kept the door wide open. Which I thought was a great idea so I could see any flashing and have a chance of hearing any ringing. Put the shirt and socks to soak in the washing up bowl, and off to the wet room.

wd 0.0.30 Unfortunately, leaving the wet room door wide open was also perfect for walking into! Grumph! Ah, well, at least I didn’t have the spectacles on to break this time. Looking in the bright side here!

No socks put on, so I avoided the sock-glide battle! Noi bleeding from Little I~nchies fungal lesion! And, Harold’s Haemorrhoids, only bled a smidge. The dropsies we about average, the five drops of the razors was a little 5Fri019ahigher than usual, though.

I didn’t really feel refreshed or properly clean, with not using the shower. But betterer in myself anyway. And the pins (legs) were looking a lot better, as well.

5Fri019I got the washing in the sink done, wrung and hung. Got the veg and potatoes into a normal saucepan, tasted it, and added a little more light soy sauce, it was a bit bland.

I added some things to the shopping list for the kind volunteers when they arrive, well, call me.

I really was tired now. But dare not let myself fall asleep, just in case the people ring up about the shopping and means of payment.

5Fri30I got the meal served up and turned on the TV, anything with subtitles, so I don’t need the headphones on and fail to hear the door-chimes, intercom or telephone.

I added a can of potatoes to the saucepan, heated in with the other stuff, and got the feast eaten. A 7/10 for flavour and taste. I had three wholemeal bread thins with it, leaving me three for tomorrows nosh. The cupboard with the canned goods stock, had never looked so bare in all the years I’ve been here. But, the has been overstocked for months. I wonder if my EQ was telling me to stock up? Haha!

5Fri31

I got the pots washed, and checked plugs, stove etc. and settled in the hopes of getting some rest and sleep in. Then remembered, I needed to stay awake, in case the Golden volunteer people or dentist calls me.  Flanglemanglingly-Frenetically-Frustrating! As I got down on the recliner and turned the TV on, a late sun came out! I’d not closed the curtains either, so that helped prevent me from nodding off to start with. I decided to get up and close the blinds.

wd 0.0.30A The curtain hooks, several of them, dropped from the top rail. I left them for attention in the morning. I was not up to tackling the step ladder at that moment.

5Fri32I found that Law & Order was showing back to back episodes with sub-titles, so had a look at them. I say them, I nodded off for a few minutes so often, I just couldn’t follow the storyline. Grumpworthiness! I found an Interscepter programme and turned to it, that was subtitled as well.

5Fri33wd 0.0.30 But the nod-offs were winning the ‘Stay-Awake’ battle.

I woke often but was soon back in the land of nod for another few minutes bliss. I’ve no idea if I missed any callers on the landline, mobile, on the intercom, or at the door.

Again, sweet Morpheous resisted for a long time.

GM DbrownL01:00hrs: I woketh up, and soon realised, the moment I straightened the legs to move, that Rheumatoid Arthur Itis was back with a vengeance! Still, he has been very kind to me lately, now it’s payback time! The need for a wee-wee encouraged me to put up with the pain and remove my over-heavily stomach-burdened body from the second-hand, c1968 recliner. The GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket) was utilised, for a ferocious, vindicative HDTBS (Heavy-Duty-Torrential-But-Short) wee-wee. Again, oddly, stomach pains started after the release?

wd 60.25.0 2 T’was then that I felt the wet warm trickling on my leg! Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding again, but not too much. A cleaning up and medicationalisationing session was carried out in the wet room. It took some time, and was a tad painful, but had to be done. At least the flow was stopped with relative ease this time. Other bonuses were no toe stubbings, walking into doors or walls, knocking anything over, or visits from Shaking Shaun or Dizzy Dennis were suffered.

I didn’t feel too bad at all, even with Arthur Itis’s attention, and then Duodenal Donald joining in. How can I describe it for best? I seemed more resilient and determined not to get depressed or feel sorry for myself this morning. How or why I was in this new-found la-la state of mind, remains a mystery. I anticipate things will change later.

4Thu01Off to the kitchen, and got the kettle on. I took a blind shot of Chestnut Walk below. It had to be blind, thanks to the new kitchen windows fitted in the upgrading of the flats. That the Coronavirus has now put a stop to. The thick-framed, rain-letting in, light & view-blocking windows, with the ledge that sticks out too far 4Thu02for me to see what is below, Fire engines etc. or see anything to photograph without using the step-ladders, which usually ends up with an Accifauxpas and personal injury! But, still, it came out alright.

I got the computer on and made some comment replies. Then got on with beginning this blog template, as far as here. During which, the rataplan of rumbling from the innards started, at the same time as the horrendously loud ‘Hum’ increased in volume as well! There’s no peace here!

I then made a start on updating the wearisome Wednesday blog. I don’t think I meant wearisome? Ah, a belated call to the Porcelain Throne, so off to the wet room.

wd 60.25.0 2 Well, that was an odd session. It needed a little pushing, and the plop-plopping started, stopped, then it started again. The room, (Possibly the whole flat) filled with a distinctively evil-smelling, mephitic aroma that I could still smell hours later! There was no mess at all, the nugget-shaped evacuation cleared away first pull of the chain. Minimal bleeding from the rear-end and Little Inchies fungal lesion was not leaking at all? I felt a smidge light-headed when I rose from the Throne, a good job I had the four-pronged stick with me. The fragrance seemed to follow me out and into the kitchen. I wondered if the out of use-by-dated meat I ate, might be a cause of this?

I did some more updating, then poddled to the kitchen to start the vegetable preparing and get them into the crock-pot.

4Thu06

I think I got carried away somewhat and made too much! Mushrooms, leeks, red onion and parsnips went in the pot (All my thanks to Jenny, who got them for me ♥). I added some gravy granules, hickory and light soy sauce. No salt needed with the Soy going in. I put it in Auto setting, which brings it the boil, then goes on to the low setting.

wd 60.25.0 2 Blimey, toothache just came on without any signs or warnings. So bad, I tried to ring the surgery to get booked in – Closed due to Coronavirus! Ah, well! Now I’ll need some extra painkillers. But as I’m not allowed to get out to get cash or shopping in, how to get the Co-codamol is another unsolvable problem for me to contend with. I’ve a supply of paracetamol, but they are not very strong. A bit like me. Hahaha!

3Wed14wd 60.25.0 2 I then tried to get an order from Iceland. But, no! I’d hoped doing it earlier in the day might help, but no!

wd 60.25.0 2 Then I tried for an Ocado one. Unbelievable! The site let me get all excited and make an order up, it took me a while, but I seemed to be going to get some things that I am out off. I was going to ring Jenny and ask if she wanted anything, that way I could pay with the card and settle what I owe her, Great! But no, I pressed the button to carry on, thinking I could add anything later that Jenny might need, and the No Slots Available sign came up! What a Con! Botherations and blasticulisations! Swine!

It cost me no end of time as well! ‘Do they think I’ve got nothing else to do, nowhere to go, no one to visit… Come think of it, I haven’t! Hahaha!

wd 60.25.0 2 At the moment I got started on preparing the meal, the mind engaged one of its involuntary-unplanned ‘Panic Modes’. It does this now and then. Although it’s been a few months since the last time. This crushed my confidence and willpower. I tried the usual tricks to indurate my mind, and free the tension and worry. It was so discountenancing and ignominious. I can’t truly remember much of the following hours.

4Thu10Not even taking this photo of the fodder, nor eating it. So, I have no taste rating or comments to make on what it was like. And, how come I took such a decent photo if I was not in control of the brain-box at the time?

I started to return jitteringly, back to my semi-normal state, as I woke up. So I must have fallen asleep in the recliner?

I found the kitchen tops all clean, and for me, tidy. The pots washed. And several hours had passed since having the meal. What took place in between shall remain a mystery.

I decided to get the hand-washing done, and then get a much needed, long-overdue ablutionising session done. But I was questioning everything I did with myself as I went along? The fretting continued in the background. But I was somehow, a little chuffed with myself for deciding to get the handwashing done. Maybe to give me something to concentrate on that was not too complexed, and block out the worrying?

wd 60.25.0 2 Huh! The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry – as in this case! There was no hot water! I was not sure if the element had gone again, or I had left the tap running during my ‘blank-spell’. I still can’t find Jenny’s phone number, so Emailed and asked her if her (hot water) had gone off. She kindly emailed back that it was alright in her and Franks apartment. I decided not to worry, but phoned warden Deana just to inform her, got a Not-Available message.

So, no hand-washing, shave, teggies done or showering for me. I changed my plans and got back down in the recliner to watch some TV… and did as well. The earlier kip made getting to sleep properly impossible. I kept dosing for a few minutes and waking up repeatedly.

I think the phone flashed and rang. Unless I dreamt it had? Cause there are no recollections of who it was, or what about? I sensed that other stuff happened, but blown if I can recall what.

When I got off to sleep properly, I think I slept uninterrupted for over six hours! Which was good!

GM brownR.02:10ish hrs: I woke-up, passed wind from the rear-end. Then struggled to get out of the chair. The one that xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged. While he was flat-sitting when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras and searched for my valuables, which he found and took. The £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working – but not today, uncomfortable, rickety, ready-for-recycling, rinky-dinked, rattling, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away rusty recliner.

I clambered free of the seat, with a sense of urgency, and waggled, with bottom-cheeks clenched as best I could, to the wet room, with the middle right toe still aching from last nights stubbing! But it was a cunning false alarm! I sensed there was product in there, but it wasn’t having any effect on my efforts at encouraging any movement. So, I had a wash and wiped the contact points, and made for the kitchen. Took the medications, made a brew, and back to the computer room.

WD 0.0.0. Where I noticed I had not cleaned up the area around where I knocked stuff over last night in my rushes to get to answer the phone. So a little clean up was performed, not a proper one, cause it was far too early to use the noisy hoover yet, and being as I didn’t have a quiet one, I didn’t. Hehe!

3Wed01WD 0.0.0. I kept on getting irritation on the arm when I caught it against anything, so had decker at it. A damned pretty artistic bruise had developed. (Clopidogrel or and Accifauxpas?) I thought that this should go with the leg photographs to the Tate gallery!

WD 0.0.0. I got straight on with the WordPress updating on Tuesday’s post. I went to make another brew of Glengettie Gold tea, and when I put the teabag into the wast liner, I got a tiny little cut near the right-hand little fingernail. Which was no bother at all, cause I didn’t feel it? Thus, I knew that Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitter nerves were starting to go on strike, so I took care in which hand to use for which tasks I needed to do – Clever that! Must experience be learnt by?

3Wed02WD 0.0.0. I had a nosey in the black bag to see what it was I’d nicked myself on, and found it was the lid of the can of Polish meat I’d had and enjoyed so much last teatime. And, oh, dear, I saw the sell-by date on it: The 15th of December – 2016! I did have a look yesterday I think, but must have seen the 15.12, and assumed it was this year? Feel a right Klutz, now! I’m hoping my innards will not be affected? Oh, dear, oh, dear! The meat tasted lovely as well!

Back to the updating. It got harder work, as Nicodemus’s nerve ends kept going AWOL, and so many errors were made. But I got it finished around 05:45hrs.

Then put a few piccies on Pinterest, sent out the Emails, and later on the TFZer Facebooking. It was a struggle, though. I’m not sure if it was Virgin Meda or FAcebook at fault. But things were very variably stuttery and slow. I added some photographs to my albums. It took me as long as it did to update the blog in the first place!

WDP Dec 26a (1)WD 0.0.0. As I was finishing the job, another urgent summing to the Porcelain Throne arrived, in the form of borborygmic gurgling. Experience told me not to ignore it, and off I went to the wet room. “Argh!”, it was a painful, needing encouragement from me, evacuation. Messy, some indeterministic bleeding too. But at least not from Little Inchies fungal lesion. Harold’s Haemorrhoids were not happy, and the stinging began! So, the cleaning up and medicationalisticalisationing was carried out.

I carried with this post up to here. Then went to make a brew of Thompsons Punjana tea, and while the kettle was boiling, I took some shot of the morning view, three from the balcony, and the last one from the unwanted, wet-letting-in, disliked, thick-framed, light & view-blocking new kitchen window, with the Canon camera. I might be the lighting available, but I was pretty pleased with the resulting photos.

3Wed07

It looks so quaint – but I assure you, it ain’t!

All the parked cars of the self-isolators, enforced isolators (like wot I am!), sent home workers etc. was a sad reminder of what we’re all going through. And not a single person spotted in any of the snaps, as far I could see, anyway.

I phoned Sister Jane and her Pete. But, I got a message telling me the call has been put on hold?II tried to ring her back. Got another message saying an ‘active call,’ is preventing the connection. Got her next try, and ‘Sod’s Law’, or ‘Gerry’s luck’, while she was talking and telling me off, the dreaded wet and warm feeling from down below appeared – I asked her to wait for a second, had a look and found the white PP’s were mostly red – the blood was flowing from Little Inchies fungal lesion! I explained and shot off to the wet room.

More toilet roll was used in cleaning things up. Washed the area, and a few Argh’s and Ouches were muttered as I was medicating things. Humph!

Made the brew, and got on CorelDraw to do some graphics for another template.

The usual weariness and fatigue dawned early in the day again.

3Wed34Got the oven on and nosh started. A chance to use up some dated items from the freezer. The fish fingers in breadcrumbs, substituted for battered ones by Iceland. Not very tasty, I think they may have been made with pond sticklebacks? The well-out-of-date Twiglets, the donated by a resident for me tomatoes were grand. The Halloumi sticks passable, and the beetroot, perfect! Overall, a Taste-Rating of 5/10.

I went to do the washing up, and the landline lit and rang. It was my Angel Jenny, to tell me that the food she had added to her Sainsbury order was coming via Frank to be delivered to me. So kind of her to help me like this.

WD 0.0.0. Especially as I can’t pay her back until I can work out a way of getting some cash from the ATM or somehow.

Minutes later, the doorbell chimed. I got to open it, and two carrier bags had been left outside by Frank. I was picking them up, and Frank’s voice said something to me, I couldn’t tell what he was saying, but thanked him.

3Wed30As expected, Sainsbury’s were out of stock of some things, some substituted. The caramelised biscuits with Caramel wafers, but at least I can hand them back for Jenny to use, or share later with the Wednesday gang when, if,  it ever gets back online. No bread or cobs substituted. As to be expected, in the current climate.

It is lovely that Jenny is helping, but I will not bother her again, until I can find a way to pay what I owe her, including the £25+ for this order. Bless her kind cotton socks. She helps so many people. I’ll manage somehow.

3Wed35I put the things away, and spotted another tin in the tea cupboard! Of Pork Knuckle, Great! And, it’s still in date, only just, but still. Hehe!

I’ll have a beef cook-in-the-bag in onion gravy tomorrow. Now I have some leeks and parsnips to add to it, thanks to Jenny & Frank.

WD 0.0.0. I got settled down, in hopes of getting some sleep, but the mind was buzzing with problems and not letting me relax. Eventually, much later, I did nod-off… And the landline rang and flashed! It was a lady asking for Angela and Frank. I explained this was the wrong number, but I did not know the telephone digits of Angela and Frank, who live on the top floor. The poor lady sounded so disappointed.

WDP sleepLWD 0.0.0. Back down on the £300 second-hand, not-working, uncomfortable rickety recliner, in search of sweet morpheous, which was in no hurry to dawn on me. The Thought-Storms started and stayed with me a while. After the half-asleep prognosticating, I felt so confused, low, incapable, and pathetically self-hating.

WDPrightWD 0.0.0. I did get off into the land of nod – but had the oddest of dreams, and it was so lucid afterwards, I wrote down bits I could recall on the pad. I’d died if osteofluorosis, and they would not let me into heavens gates. St Peter (In the dream, Housing Patch Manager, Angela Gould), refused to let me in until I had got a disclaimer from Glengettie… I was returned to life and earth to fetch one, and everyone was dead. Bloody Coronavirus, I cursed! And, walked (I was the same age, but all my ailments had gone?), around the shops to get food, but everything had gone mouldy, and not a tin opener to be found anywhere… Suddenly, I was in New York, the same scenario, all dead… As I walked between the abandoned dead body filled vehicles, a rhinoceros came charging at me, stopped short, and licked my face? This beast knocked me down a drain… After that, it all goes vague.

Might I be losing it?

GM Neut02aWD 180.50.0 02:30hrs: I stirred into mock-life, and realised that just about everything attached to my wobbly-overweight stomach, was shaking to varying degrees. Shoulder-Shaking-Shirley was so bad, she was hitting my elbow on the recliner arm! Shaking Shaun had taken a fancy to the head and neck this morning. Worst perhaps, was Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failures were making it so difficult to sense anything hard, and getting up to respond to the urgent call to the Porcelain Throne was not easy! (The bonus, was, that there was no Neuropathic Schuhplattler dancing from the right leg)

I imagine that had a video been taken of my perilous hastened-hobble to the wet room, it would have gone viral! Hehehe!

WD 180.50.0A After much faffling-about, I got on my feet, caught my balance, grabbed at the four-pronged walking stick, dropped it, bent down to pick it up and ‘Klunk’ down on my knees I went! Bearing in mind, the imperativeness of my getting to the Throne in time was increasing! Humph! I actually appreciated having the shakes from Nicodemus at the time, because there was hardly any pain at all when Arthur Itis’s patelas hit the floor! That usually come later, when the transmitter nerves start working again. Unnerving getting pains and you can’t see or remember why!

I got in the room, whipped open the dressing gown and down with the PP’s. To my surprise, I had to use a little effort to get the movement started. Things were not so messy this time, and the bleeding from the rear end, a lot less. The recently acquired pungent-pong was still with me, though.

By the time I’d cleaned up and medicated, I realised the shaking had almost gone. Apart from Shoulder-Shaking-Shirley, that is. I think she might have been having a go at me in my sleep, cause the joint and scapula were a little sore.

This got me wondering if the Phlebotomy nurse will manage to get here next week to take the Warfarin blood sample. It’s been three or four weeks since it’s been done now. But, with the loathsome Corona Virus pandemic, I’m not holding out much hope.

I got the camera out to photo the legs condition. Why I’m still doing this with no nurses coming to take them, I don’t know.

6Sat01WD 180.50.0 Anyroad, I spotted a sort of rounded-rectangle impressed on my chest, twixt my man-breasts and my portly pot-belly. I was a tad puzzled as to what could have caused this? I took this snap on the right of it, before taking the pins (legs) photograph.

The image-shape positioned just where mechanical ticker lies underneath. But obviously, the marking was made on the skin, outside. I later searched around for anything this shape in the front room where the recliner is, but I found nothing to match it. Unfathomable, but intriguing all the same.

6Sat04The veins in the pins had started to protrude again. The varicose were not too bad, mind. The spider and superficial phlebitis were showing off somewhat. Where I fell on the knees was just starting to sting as I took this picture! Haha!

6Sat03While in there, I did the teggies and had a shave. And very pleased with how it went, considering that Shirley didn’t ever stop shaking, although she kept altering the rate of power. And I only had two tiny cuts after the session! Smug Mode Adopted!

6Sat02To the kitchen, and put some bits in a carrier, to give to Jenny when she comes. As a thank you for helping me out again.

I got the kettle on, then took a snap of the early morning view. Imbibed the medications and made the brew of Glengettie Gold tea.

I got the computer on and did some much-needed page top graphics. Which cost me a couple of hours, Tsk! Then did the Friday diary updating and got it posted off. Pinterest photos sent off. TFZer Facebooking (Three hours). Made a start on this post, and went on the WordPress Reader section.

During which, the innards started to give me some gip. And quickly got worse, more acute. So, I nipped limpingly to the Porcelain Throne, just in case things were brewing up inside for an evacuation. Oh, off I ran, stick in hand, hoping to arrive in time, to the wet room!

Phwoar! Just in time! The evacuation was quicker and less painful than any has been over the last week! But, there was so much of it! I had to manually assist the system in accepting it, and move it on to the sewers below! Shaking Shirley and Shaun helped me in spilling a lot of the water I was taking in the tub from the sink to WC, and that had to be wiped up afterwards. Washed and medicated the rear-end, and returned to the computer to get on with the Thoughts graphic creating.

Lost a opt of work and don’t know why! I’ll try to remember bits.

Jenny rang she’s coming with the Iceland bits for me, I put her treat bag on the door handle outside. She left the good and rang the tune-bells. Fetched them in. No tomatoes and Golden delicious substituted, at first I thought they might have been Jenny’s order, she told me they were on special offer. Nae fuss, I can eat them alright.

I spent hours doing graphics.

WD 180.50.0 Porcelain Throne visited. Running short on actual cash now, with not being able to order food on site. Morrisons and Iceland both checked, and neither having any delivery slots available.

6Sat24I dug out some chips from the bottom of the freezer. Got a pate and a few tomatoes left to have with them.

Got the nosh sorted. Last of the Piccolo tomatoes, oh, no it’s not. I just found a few more in the cupboard. Some Truffle fries, somewhat ageing beetroots, mushroom pate, onions, Marmite out of date but still tasty cheese medallion, one of the apples that Jenny got for me from her Iceland order, the last fresh orange drink, and a lemon mousse. I used up the last of the Jenny-donated bread with them, and enjoyed an evening feast! Thanks again to Jenny! 7/10 Flavour rating.

I got the washing up done, resisted the ‘none-urge’ to do some handwashing, (HaHa!) and got down in the £300, second-hand, on-its-last-legs, c1968 recliner. Put a Last of the Summer Wine DVD on, and wallowed in nostalgia.

6Sat28The landline flashed, it was the Chemist, telling me the prescriptions would be at the door in a few minutes. I waited five or six minutes, not wanting to make social-contact with the lady, and carefully opened the door, making sure she had gone first and collected the pack from where she had left it for me.

Back to the DVD, and watched another episode of the ‘Summer Wine’. It’s got something this programme, it always did have. A gentleness, no bad language, so relaxing to view, and memory provoking.

As I went for the last Porcelain visit of the day, it dawned on me how the ailments had eased off. Not all of them, of course. Dizzy Dennis, Shoulder-Shaking-Shirley and now, Duodenal Donald all helped to stop me getting to sleep very soon.

When I did nod-off, a storm of dreams made sure that recuperation and rest, were not there for the fuddled, fermenting brain. Shame!

GM07RWD 150.0.100 01:45hrs: I stirred into an ersatz version of life; feeling otiose, vague, and in need of a non-alcoholic potation. As I removed my horrendously ever-growing stomach with thin arms and legs attached to it, from the £300, second-hand, c1968 recliner, the innards gurgled, I started coughing, and wind passed involuntarily from the rear end!

The thoughts of a brew of tea came second to the need for the Porcelain Throne. Off to the wet-room, the walking stick had never been used quickerer! In, PPs down, settled and… Wind! Nothing but noisy and smelly fluffer-doodling! Past experiences made me wait there, in case of sudden movements catching me out. A go at the crosswords, no clues solved, and no action actuated! Had a wash, changed PPs. Off to get the kettle on, as if the tea was a drug to me?

4Thu01I got the kettle on, took the medications, again dropping the Omeprazole capsule, and made a brew of Glengettie. Into the computer desk, and had a look at the two-page, side-effects of the Omeprazole’s leaflet. But there was so much of it, I gave up.

Got the computer on, and went on Word Press Reader first. Then tackled updating the Wednesday post.

WDP 2019a2WD 150.0.100 The almost immediate need to go back to the Throne was responded to as fast as I could manage it. Which was a good thing too! Because this time the innards-controlled evacuation started the moment I’d got seated. Eurgh! Splosh, splash, quirt, splatter! And with an aroma, that if bottled, could have been used as an effective nerve-gas by the military!

The stomach churned and ached after the release, for a long time. I cleaned up once more, me and the WC. Then had a few good-sized guzzles of the Silica gel and Dimethicone medicine, thinking it might calm down the borborygmus eruptions. (It didn’t) Shame, the pong of the repeated intestinal gas escapes, is filling the flat already, and it continues. As does the rumbling, grumbling innards and eructations, in between my coughing and sneezing. Sounds terrible, doesn’t it? It is! Gruelling-Gromble-Garblisations!

When I got the post updated and sent off, I went on Pinterest, then TFZer Facebooking. Then did some searching to find out about the two outstanding Amazon orders. A good job that I’m home-isolated innit!

4Thu02

4Thu03I tried for the ninth time in 24hrs, to get a Morrison Grocery order done. Hehehe! What a hopeful, old, gullible, senile idiot, I am!

I got some graphics done. Started this blog off. The gut still exploding, but the coughing had eased off, and one of the sneezes was probably heard by Sandra Lentz and Tim Price in America! As for the accompanying wind… Phwoar!

WD 150.0.100 I made a brew of Thompsons Punjana tea and had to shoot off to the Throne again. Oh, dear! Another messy, miasmic smelling session. I keep washing my hands in between and on Throne visits, and I must have the cleaning mitts in the place!

I opened a can of baked beans and put some hickory marinade in them, a long soak into for later.

4Thu04I did a try at getting some food from Ocado. Another negative, no slots available!

I went on Facebook for a while, then on to CorelDraw for a creating graphic session.

After about a couple of hours,  the door chimes rang out with their ♫I only want to be with you!♫. I thought it might be Amazon with the ear inserts or seaweed packs. I got my onerously large body to the front door. There, just outside on the floor, was a bag of food that had been left for me!

I’ve no idea who had donated the fodder for me, but it was a beautiful gesture. I unloaded the pack, full of appreciation.

4Thu06The cobs will be perfect with my beans later! Onions and carrots, I’ve got some parsnips in reasonable nick, in the fridge. Tomorrow’s meal sorted thanks to the donator. That frees me from the worry of having to go out today! Bless whoever it was! Canned mushy peas, baked beans, sardines. A yoghourt that unfortunately has the lethal to me cranberries in it. Milk, lemonade, tomato puree, and some white bread. So kind of them! Oh, and a can of orange pieces, a perfect after for me!

I was putting the stuff away, and the landline rang and flashed. It was from Jenny. She was the angel who left the food for me, and perfect timing it was, may her foibles ferment with festive functions frequently! ♥ After the current scare, of course. Thanks again, Jenny! I feel humbled!

Made a brew in celebration, and got back to the graphicalisationing. It was slow going, and I had to leave it again, for yet another Porcelain Throne mission! The same evacuation mode as the last one. By gum, I’ve got a sore bottom now! Dangwangling Dangwangles!

After much tenderising and medicating, I returned and, oh, so painfully sat in the computer chair. I could do with another of the cushion-rings. Tsk!

The Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun visits got too much for me. I had to stop computerising and while putting everything away, had to pay another Porcelain Throne visit, a visitational record today I think. Exactly the same activity. Messiness and uncomfortableness. I took an anti-Diarrhorea-Duncan capsule. Washed medicated and had to just sit quietly for a while.

Within seconds I’d drifted into a dream-filled sleep, in which I knew I was sleeping and just seemed to be enjoying the mangled,  foozled dreams.

JennyThe landline flashed and sounded, I woke and fumbled my way to the phone. It was Jenny, helping me out again! She had miraculously got through to Iceland to give an order. And, as is her natural, considerate, obliging characteristics, she asked if I would like anything adding to the order for Saturday. If I email her back with anything, she will add it to her order. Not many folks would think of that, but Jenny is special.

I was still a tad confused at being woken up. And am not sure if owt else was said, and I sat down again for a few minutes and wrote down some items, then nodded off again.

WD 150.0.100 I woke with a start. With a new headache above the eyes. Accompanied by Shaking Shaun, and Shaking Shoulder-Shirley having a go at me. To round things off, Flatulating Frank was rampant and persistent. Off to the Throne again! At least this session was not as messy.

4Thu19fMy body just wanted to sleep, but I wanted to get back to Jenny and thank her and give a little list of items she had kindly asked for me to add to her Iceland delivery. Her delivery is for late on Friday, and Jen’ politely said she would not wake-me then, and bring it to me until Saturday morning. The lady is so thoughtful! So, a treat of braised beef in onion gravy cook-in-the-bag again for me this weekend after all! Bless yers, Jenny!

I got the computer on again. And sent the email. Then got the meal prepared. I had to take care in doing so, cause Shirley and Shaun were in attendance still.

4Thu07The hickory seasoned beans with the last of the tomatoes, and triple-fried chips, and the Jenny-supplied bread, were smashing!

A taste-rating of 8.5/10! The white slice and cobs did an excellent job of soaking up the sauce! Hehehe!

I washed the dish and cutlery and got the handwashing in Woolite soaking in the bowl. I was too tired to do it tonight. It had been an emotional, draining, ‘shaking-all-over’ day, the Trots, and the fatigue and lack of proper sleep had affected me worse than usual.

I got back down in the £300, second-hand, dilapidated, c1968, rickety recliner. The eyes began to droop, and a particular sort of, well, almost joy came over me, as I realised I might get some sleep in without waiting for hours. I think Flatulent Frank agreed, cause he kept passing little comments! Hahaha!

WD 150.0.100 As a blissful Morpheus was coming over me, and Dogwangles! I’d not taken the evening medications! With tremendous and grumpy petulant reluctance, I heaved my stomach-dominated torso from the recliner. And made my way to the kitchen’s medicines drawer…

WDP Dec 26bWD 150.0.100wd 150.0.100A As slowly as I was hobbling, and as carefully as I could, I still managed to give myself a toe-stubbing on the corner of the kitchen door! I held onto the door frame for extra support, closed my eye, and withheld the urge to cry out loud and swear! A few moments later, after a Thought Storm that was partly incomprehensible, but included niggling, depressive thoughts about my bad luck and stupidity, I got the medications from the drawer and imbibed them with a drink of spring water.

WD 150.0.100 It took me a lot longer to get back to the chair than it did to get to the kitchen. The throbbing toe, headache above the eyes and Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley joined forces to stop me getting to sleep for along time. But fatigue was getting the upper hand slowly but surely. Sweet Morpheous blessedly arrived!

WD 150.0.100 But not for long! Tsk! The sounds of ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out from the door chimes. Reluctantly, I freed my weighty lump of a body from the recliner, the toe didn’t half sting, as I fumbled my way to the door. It was Josie ringing, to tell me I’d had a parcel left outside the door. Bless her! I’m sure we chatted, I seem to remember telling her it was the seaweed snacks, and she would have some on her Sunday meal and thanking her for letting me know.

I was done-in now, mentally. How I got back to the recliner, and where I put the seaweed box, will have to be investigated in the morning.

WD 150.0.100 Never have I been so tired! But I did get down and asleep, I know this because later, ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out from the door chimes, and woke me again! Argh! There was no one there when I got to the door!

Crying out loud was an option that came to mind… but I didn’t!

Bad, bad day!

Not the ailments to blame,

It was the brain I could not contain,

My logicality was just the same,

No one, but myself to blame!

WDP 1Lc

02:10hrs:

Horrible day,

Concentration went away,

Much graphicalisationing,

In fact, I was addicted,

The end was being predicted,

I forgot things before I remembered them,

I was coughing and bringing up phlegm,

Signs of concentration, precious few, a gem,

Thoughts of giving up, I could not stem!

WDP 1Ld

The mind in a tizzy and stew,

So bad, I rarely made a brew,

I think I might be getting the flu,

I pressed on, Dizzy Dennis making me feel blue,

The mind, all of a hullabaloo,

Shaking Shoulder Shirley was with me too,

I felt in another world, I can tell you!

WDP 1Lb

Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failing,

I felt like sobbing and wailing,

The brain was confused, unavailing,

Life was not plain sailing,

Forever pain and ailing,

Depression was prevailing,

I could do with some wassailing,

But my hopes were failing!

Will I ever again, go abseiling?

WDP 1La

The grey-cells thoughts were tangled, here and there,

My shattered hopes, now beyond repair,

I’d almost finished updating this blog,

Believe me, it had been a hard slog!

After hours and hours, I felt all agog,

Computerising, I got the shakes,

I lost this diary, ‘For Gawd’s Sake!’

Demoralised, hit by an emotional earthquake,

How much more, can I take?

GM01 red01:25hrs: I woke up, feeling strangely contented? (If a dream caused this, I want another one like it, Hahaha!) A wee-wee was soon needed, the grey bucket had not been used all night, another conundrum! Hmm? Off to the wet room.

Well, that was interesting. I spent a few minutes before the flow started, the tiniest bits of discomfort, two or three sprinkles, and that was that! Ah, well!

Got the kettle on, took the medications, made a brew of Thompson’s Punjana, and got the computer on. (and all without much hassle from the ailments at all), Well, apart from Shoulder-Shaking-Shirley, and the right leg twitching a tad. But I can cope with these alright.

I wanted to get the updating and finalising of the Monday post done before the Morrison delivery was due (06:30>07:30hrs). A lot of photographs to go on it, from yesterdays gadabout, and Whoopsidanglelpop with the buses in town. I pressed on, getting a few annoying moments of inorthography had me stumped. This was not due to any 2Tue07insouciance on my behalf. I was concentrating well, I thought, but the brain had different ideas. I plugged away, and finally got it finished at last (Three-and-a-half hours).

I got the veg in the crock-pot on a low setting. Leeks, parsnips, carrots and turnips.

Then, I checked on the Amazon Tracker for the droppers and blow-bulb rough ETA. It looks like it will a late one. Can’t be helped.

2Tue01

2Tue08aNo time to send it off the blog yet, the Morrison delivery arrived. I even heard the intercom with no difficulty. (I pondered if my using the medical olive oil more often had helped? If so, when I the de-waxing tool, it might get even better?) I let him in, and he was soon up at the door. The lad placed the bags inside the door 2Tue09for me and then shot off, bless him.

I got the things into the kitchen and put in the cupboards or the fridge as required.

The fresh sweet potato slices tempted me so much, I decided I’d have them with the veggies and some of the chicken pieces for lunch, dinner whatever. But they were not cheap by any means, so I must taketh care not to make a mess of cooking them this time. Last time when I burnt them, they were frozen ones that cost £1.50 for 300g – these cost £3.50 for 250g.

It’s getting on now, so I put some more olive oil in the tab-holes, checked the veggies progress, and went for a wee-wee.

WD 0.0.255 But it proved a trickle-less effort? Humph!

2Tue10I took a shot of the murky looking sky from the unpopular, dirty, light & view-blocking, photographer-hating, thick-framed, kitchen window.

Then, back on the computer to send off the blog I’d finished, and made a start on this one.

The doorbell chimed out. But I only just heard it this time. The fitter-lads were back at it, just outside the front door in the flat’s hallway, and making an unruly, but, unavoidable din and racket. I thought it might be the Phlebotomy nurse who’d been let in. But it was Josie, returning the things from the Sunday meal. I inquired if she liked the new things I tried. All she said was, the cheesy potatoes were lovely! Good enough for me!

I took the server-tray, plate and cutlery into the kitchen, made a brew of Glenghettie tea, and back onto the computer. Minutes later, the intercom chimed out again. This time it was the nurse. I full-figured Phlebotomy-nurse! She soon sorted out taking the blood and chatted a bit, that was most welcome! Handed her some vanilla wafers, by way of a thank-you. And she trotted of with some haste. Everybody is busy today!

2Tue11I made an order for Iceland. Some of the braised beef in onion gravy (2), I have plans to add some home-made vegetables to them and see what they turn out like. Chicken Satays, Mini ice-cream bars, mushrooms, onions, leeks, cooking butter. And on offer-price, Aberdeen meat joint, orange squash, Hob cleaner, a few different of kitchen-rolls, and some toilet rolls. There was only one type of bog-rolls in stock! Comfort (16-pack), and only one of them was allowed to could be ordered. The panic stock-piling I suppose. The chances are, they might not be any available at all come the delivery time? Oh, dear, dear, dearie me!

I got as far as here and had a search around amongst the mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court, that lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the eternal cosmic continuum. It’s illusions, delusions, abstrusities, problemata, emotions, and despair. Katzenjammers and emotional-quagmires; for the missing Olive Oil pots, I had delivered on Saturday. What the heck did do with them. I had four, and can only find the one, now! No luck! Krankelkraps!

Did check on the Amazon order; Looking better now.

2Tue12

2Tue13Sister Jane phoned me, she’s sent me a bit of the Nottingham Post paper on the snail-post, with details about diabetes for me to read. Not arrived yet.

Then I went of CorelDraw to make some graphics. Then checked on the Amazon situation. Nearly here!

That’s it, it had to come, Dizzy Dennis is back like a thunderstorm! I’ll get a sit down quietly. But I must not fall asleep and miss the delivery of the ear cleaners especially.

The intercom 2Tue14came to light and life, it was the Amazon delivery gentleman. I must have looked a sight as I opened the door to him. The Dizzy Dennis shakes were well set-in. The lad kept asking me if I was alright, bless his cotton socks.

Took the parcel through to the kitchen and left it for sorting later, tomorrow maybe.

WD 0.0.255AWD 0.0.255 2Tue15Wearily I got the meal served up, but not without some minor Accifauxpas and Whoopsiedangleplops in doing so. A cut finger, a burnt wrist, various dropsies, including as I recall, cutlery, washing up bottle, saucepan lid and the salt pot.

2Tue16The meal was a worthy 8.2/10 for taste-rating. This was mainly due to the absolutely delightful sweet potato fritters!

But as I said earlier, the fatigue won the day, I struggled through the cleaning up, and got settled, in body, not mind (Hehe!), in the £300, second-hand, cringingly-crude beige-coloured recliner, that xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged. At the same time, as he was flat-sitting and stealing my valuables.

I so wanted and needed sleep. But it was not to be! Shaking Shaun and Shoulder-Shaking-Shirley ensured that. When the Thought-Storming started, I gave up and just went along with the tormenting flow, trying my best to attain a state of apanthropinisation.

Sleep must have come, cause I woke up later. Haha!

GM06b01:58hrs: I woke several times during the night, but soon nodded off again. This time, I removed my cumbersomely over-stomached body from the £300, second-hand recliner almost straight away. I caught my balance and got the stick, and as I made my way to the kitchen, I stopped part-way… Where were my ailments? Was I still dreaming? Of the wide selection of issues available to me, only Saccades Sandra and Back-Pain-Brenda was of any bother? Duodenal Donald, Dizzy Dennis and the others seem to have abandoned me! Had I snuffed it during the night?  I was confused, but oh, so pleased, even if it was only going to be a temporary situation, I took a weak wee-wee in the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket), and started to sing to myself as I got in the kitchen!

WDP 002bWD 0.0.0 (1) As I got the kettle on, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters started failed and continuously returned and did so for ages. This meant the following medication sorting (From the mixed-up tablet’s in the falling-apart PilBox. Thanks to Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA), the taking and transportation into the computer, were ridden with annoyances, spilt tea, dropped tablets etc., but still no hassle from even Arthur Itis! So things medically speaking were in fine form! Yeehaa! The state of my mentality had yet to be tested and assessed. Haha!

As I got back to the computer desk, the borborygmic gurgling from the innards, meant a visit to the Porcelain Throne was required, so off to the wet room. Well, this session was different from how they have been of late. Down on the throne, instant movement (but this was within my control for once), not a lot evacuated, but it was very messy and needed a lot of cleaning up and medicating as Harold’s Haemorrhoids bled a bit. And the pain was no more than a little discomfort. Washed and returned to the computer.

WDP 20193AWD 0.0.0 (1) Getting Coreldraw opened to load the photo of last nights nosh first. Then to WordPress, and oh, dearie me! I discovered the Dedicated photo I’d made up yesterday, had the wrong Month on it! Humph! (Glad I spotted it thought). I had to remove it and make another one with March on it, not February. What a Putz!

1Mon01Responded to WordPress comments (2), then started this blog off. I got as far as here.

Then fetched another pot of the olive oil, because I could not find the one I thought I’d put in the computer drawer yesterday? I do so annoy myself at times! A proper search around, and I still could not find it! So, I got another one. I ordered some more from Amazon, and a wax remover kit, for delivery tomorrow.

Then I made a start on updating the Sunday post. It didn’t take too long, despite Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters and Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley’s (she is persistent this morning!) best efforts to hold me up! Saccades-Sandra eased off well, and focussing became more comfortable for me. Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna and Duodenal Donald were all of little if any bother! Smug, yet worried Mode Engaged?

I got the updating finished by 06:00hrs. Next, I put some things on Pinterest. Then did some more work on this blog. Later I changed to the TFZer Facebooking. Thank took a long but enjoyable time!

1Mon02On to graphicalisationing now for a while, before getting the wash & brush-up done. Brilliant ablutions session. Didn’t bother snapping the legs, they are all but normal nowadays! A few dropsies and a finger-end trapped in the sock-glide, but no complaints at all.

Readied to go out to town. Made up the black bags, and went to put them outside the door, and was greeted by five busy workmen (two electricians in Malcolms flat) and a pile of tools, wires etc. and it was impossible to get out into the flat lobby.

A chap approached me and asked if I was going out. I told him that after the bags are done, but I need to go back in “Cause I’m a dithering double-checker and need to make sure no lights, electrics and taps are left on!” He laughed, and took the bags to the chute for me, thanking him very much! I did the checks, and after some shilly-shallying, and cavilling, I was ready to flee the flat.

1Mon04a

The way through to the lift lobby had been cleared for me. I got to the elevators without any bother. A good set of blokes working here, imagine starting a job and having to move everything away to let me out, then get it all back in again. Thanks, lads. And they must have hundreds of flats to do!

I made my way through to the Winchester Court lobby and had an enjoyable natter. Then outside and had another chinwag with a crowd waiting in the bus shelter. I took a few photographs while I was waiting.

Mary was on the bus, she was of to Lidl for her shopping on Woodborough Road. I got the crossword book out, but it was an almost total failure this morning. I was more interested I think, in keeping my comically rotund wobbly body from being tipped out of the side-saddle seat at each corner and bend the bus went round!

1Mon06I alighted the bus last as usual to avoid the stampede for the door, and stood a moment or two, to search for my shopping list. I knew I was only going to Tesco to get fresh fruit & veg, then the Bargain shop. But there were other items that I could not recall. No luck in finding it anywhere, searched every pocket and the trolley bag?

1Mon06CI hobbled on a few yards and stopped for another search of the jacket and trolley bag. I was getting slightly annoyed with myself again. I was sure I’d put the list in my coat pocket earlier on.

Another failed search.

I did spot a piece of Nottinghamian Street art, though. And the Nottinghamians playing their usual game of, ‘Let’s walk-out in front of the buses at the crossings!’

As I limped over the crossing myself to the Boot’s store, the right Arthur Itis knee twanged into stinging and stabbing pain-filled mini-session. That lasted no longer than 30-seconds or so. Then went back into ‘sleep-mode’?

I naughtily walked through the Boot’s shop and into the Victoria Centre (Mall). As I plodded on along the ground floor towards the end and the Tesco shop, I had to be a little weary of many folks who seemed to have adopted as their Monday-Mission, ‘Let’s walk into some old chap, today and try to knock the senile git over!’ By the time I’d got to Tesco, with all the twisting and bending to avoid collisions with so many people, Back-Pain-Brenda had started to go into one of her ‘Aching’ modes.

The moment I got to get a basket for my shopping, the silence, well not that, the lack of noise rather, hit me. The place was crowded, but no one seemed to be talking to each other? I checked the hearing aids, they were working, I could hear the tills going?

Anyway, I got the shopping done, remembering some items I couldn’t earlier on. I ended up at the checkout with; Fresh Polish hot dogs, mini carrots, bacon strips, mushrooms, sugar snap peas, and onion and tomatoes. The things I remembered were; Seaweed & Wheat crispies, Sourdough nibbles. To my pleasant surprise, I found on the shelves with foreign goods, Glengettie Teabags! I grabbed a packet. All for £21.66!

1Mon08As I paid and left, then walked down and out onto Milton Street, I had a rest, as Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley had joined in with Back-Pain-Brenda, in giving me some stick. The Pavement was covered in chewing gum. But the most exciting thing I came across while standing there, as people wearing face-masks. More than I expected. Most of them were Asian students, I believe.

1Mon09aAs I started moving again, with little bother from Arthur Itis I might add, I spotted this chap across the road?

I went over the pedestrian crossing to the other side of Milton Street, and into the Bargain Store. I knew what I was seeking there, alright. The Pakistani Bread Biscuits, and the cheapo Woolite Black washing liquid. Unfortunately, they didn’t have either in stock. Humph! However, they did have some small tins of Garden peas and red beans! I bought several of the peas and two of the beans. Just a handy size for someone on their own.

WDP 11eLWD 0.0.0 (1)I made my way to Queen Street to catch the L9 bus. Bit of a disastrous farce this was! I was in plenty of time and had about ten minutes until the bus was due in. But a lorry parked on the other side of the road was blocking buses getting by! My EQ told me straight out; ‘You will not catch this bus!’ He was right, but failed to warn me of the consequences that I would suffer!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

WDP11LWD 0.0.0 (1) When I looked at the photos on the camera screen, I realised that I had been so involved in taking the pictures of the traffic jam, I had missed the L9 at the stop, I even took a picture of it, and it didn’t dawn on me! My self-esteem, low as it already was, sank down further! What an absolute Schmuck of the Highest Order! Self-contempt, denigration, loathing, disgust and loathing, like never before flowed!

How the hell I did I manage to do that!

1Mon13Now, in Depression Defcon Two, I was in a right morbid mood. I moved down the hill, to catch the next 40 bus (15 minutes to wait for it) – already dreading the walk from the 40 bus stop on Mapperley Rise back to the flats. I think I might have still been muttering insults at myself? Cholericalisations!

The 40 bus arrived and was abandoned by the driver. Along with other passengers, we waited patiently of the relief-driver to come from the clutch of drivers smoking and chinwagging near the Red’s True Barbecue restaurant window. I was not bothered, I was so low, it didn’t matter after my morale-devastating debacle over missing the L9 bus.

The side-saddle seats on these buses are smaller and with fewer things to grab onto, to help yourself keep in the chair. (The thought that next month we will have to use these buses as the L9 route is being abandoned, did not help my spirits!) At least when they start, it is hoped they will go to the flats in April.

And, the drop-off stop, must be one of the most dangerous ever. I took the snip below from Google Maps to show you how dodgy it can be dropping off the bus on Mapperley Rise.

1Mon23

WD 0.0.0 (1) Crossing the road needs constant attention. With a stick, or the wheeler-guide and shopping bags, one needs to keep an eye out left and right for the blind bends all the time. Not being able to get a move-on in the event of a car coming around the bend, has had me frit a few times. Ah, well! The next danger was not far away.

WD 0.0.0 (1) WD 0.0.0 (1) WD 0.0.0 (1) 1Mon15

Yes, three of them! Tsk! On the decline towards Chestnut Walk, a Nottingham City Homes van forced me to go out on the road to get by, the gap left did not allow enough room for the three-wheeler to get through. Then the same again further on with a car. And in the complex, another vehicle on the pavement had me in the roadway.

I got a call on the mobile phone en route, I was in the middle of the road at the time, so hastened to the relative safety of the pavement and answered it in time, for once. It was the Phlebotomy Nurse, telling me she would be with me in the morning twixt 10:00 > 12:00hrs. So it’s just as well I got the fresh-food shopping done today. I’ve got an order coming in the morning from Morrisons with the non-fresh food (If I remember correctly), 06:30 > 07:30hrs.

1Mon16I walked through the Winwood Court entrance and along the link-passage to the Woodthorpe Court lift lobby. Not a soul in sight. Up to the 12th-floor and out to the flat hall. The fire door was wedged open, again no one around, I think the worker lads must have been on a break.

1Mon17I fumbled about a bit getting into the flat with the trolley-guide. Much to the displeasure of Back-Pain-Brenda. She’s not been in a good mood with me at all, today. My first job, I got the fodder unloaded. Then put away, all bag the veg for tonight’s nosh that is.

Then, I got the food prepped and cooking.

1Mon18

1Mon19Mushrooms, sugar snap, leeks and peas in the saucepan. Parsnips, turnips, carrots and sweet potatoes in the oven, sprayed with olive oil and roasting. Then put some of the Polish Hot Dog sausages in the big pan to warm up. I’ve taken to this vegetable lark.

I intend to stick with having potatoes just twice a week. Probably beans or tinned tomato-based noshes in between? Especially with the arrogant, uncaring, antisocial sounding Ingeus Diabetic people from Birmingham returning my Doctors referral letter. I should hear from Dr Vindla before long about it. What a company! They tell me they will never phone-out; personally, it is always a pre-recorded message? They certainly don’t take into consideration anyone’s other ailments, injuries or complaints. The fact that I told them about my hearing problem with recorded messages more than people, and my limited mobility, drifted over their heads.

I’m waffling again, sorry.

1Mon20I added some of the seaweed nibbles to the plate of so many different vegetables and sausage. I must say it tasted marvellous! A Taste-Rating of 8.8/10!

It helped with my getting the roast comestibles cooked betterer this time. But, it’s a new thing for me, roasting fresh parsnips, turnips, carrots and sweet potatoes from scratch. When the pod peas come in season, it will get almost exciting for me. Hehehe! That is of course, if Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA, or Ingeus Europe Ltd (Subsidiaries: Ingeus UK Ltd., Invisage Limited, Ingeus Investments Limited) haven’t killed me by then.

I got the washing up done and considered doing the hand washing, but the weariness was descending on me quickly now!

I viewed what was available on the TV. Lots of good stuff!

Zzzzz!
