My eyes were hurting when I woke up with a jerk. Before getting the night pouch off the catheter, I’d taken two naughty, but effective strong Nurofen tablets. I keep some near the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner, on the Ottoman, within reach. By the time I’d got the pouch off and made a brew, the pain had eased a lot from the right eye… not the left though. I didn’t take any more naughty painkillers, cause the Carer will be here to give me some Paracetamol & Codeine. Don’t want to overdo things. I’m not saying KI wasn’t tempted to, though.
A highlight of pleasantness arrived in the form of Nurse Hristina from the DVT Anticoagulation Clinic to take some blood for INR analysis. The poor thing sounded like she had a sore throat. Bless her cotton socks. Such a lovely kind lady.
Carer Chris arrived. Eyes and medications issued. Started the blogging update, and it happened yet again, even as early as this. Carer Victor did the midday and early evening calls. The weariness and tiredness dawned, and I went off on the Ode word-finding mission that took me hours and hours. KI just couldn’t stop; the brain seemed to be blinkered?
A bad start got worserer. And yet, when I semi-recovered my grasp on things, I was so cheerful about it.
No time or instinct for taking photos, although I did take a few. Carer Victor took some of the evening sky for me. But through the balcony windows

The night pouch is nice & fullish, a good colour.
Sorted the waste bags into one. ![]()
The scratches on the wall, came from when I fell over getting the bags in position and the walking stick hit the paintwork..
Sported out some bladder-filling bottles.
A mug of Glengettie went down well.

Evening Carer Victor arrived, and eye drops and medications were done. He took these snaps through the balcony glass.

I finished the blog and sent it off.
Made up several templates, which was time-consuming, but I was pleased I got them done. A long job and I made many mistakes in doing it. No doubt I’ll find more when I use them.
Turning of now, so weary, and the flaming eye seems to get worse as the night approaches.
Back in the morning, all being well, like. Haha!
Roving Reporter Inchy (well, moving occasionally around the flat anyway), is back with this catch-up report.
Carer Victor arrived, waking me from a period of sleep, that was free of interference from
. A precious rarity that, of course, they returned the instant I nodded off after getting down in the
after Victor had departed. ![]()
Medications were issued, the night pouch readied, eye drops put in, and he helped me get the chips out of the oven and onto the plate for consumption. (Is that the right word?)
The chips were burnt to my favourite crispiness; well, with my shortage of teeth, they can be sucked at. Haha!Yellow tomatoes, and soy balls. Flavour-Rating: 8.2/10!
Down on the c1968, non-operational, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, germ-breeding, Harold Haemorrhoid-Testing, sickenly beige-coloured, crumb covered recliner, in search of sleep. But, it was not to be!
Made sure of that! I was getting s smidge wee’d off with this and got up to wash the food things.
Glad that I did now; the evening sky had a great hue to it. I fetched Kodak Keith and tried my best to get a decent shot of the view on offer.
was bothersome. She had been all day really come to think of it, and when I was getting settled at the window,
kicked off, too.
My first photographicalisationing shot came out wobbly-shaky, to say the least. But it was different if nowt else…
A never-been-known for months, determination rose from within my demented
afflicted brain. I was not going to give up this time! My resolve cost me a lot of time. Getting
gently wedged on the window locking block, I tried again to take a better picture… but no, it came out terrible again. So, putting some paper towels behind the block, to help keep the botherations from
and
to a minimum, I tried again…
Aha, that one came out betterer. For me, anyway.
Back in the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold-Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner.
To my utter pleasure and delight, there was no interference from
. I had a few mini-dreams; they were each doom-ladened, depressing, confusing themes.
TTFNski, all!

The second meal of the day – A rarity?
Mission impossible for some of the suggestions. How can the carers find time or staff to help me clear the room? They can’t supply the domestic now. They’ve had to cut down the hour, to half an hour, of financial assistance. It is the holiday period now; the poor devils are struggling. Staff are taking their breaks when they can, before the time runs out, can’t be helped mind you. I know how difficult it is, being in the same position when I was Security Controller at Sawley Security, a nightmare! Mission Impossible for them as well, re this guidance. Everything is getting behind schedule, and my already dilapidated memory is suffering; I’m trying to catch up, and things get further behind
This time, I lost all the stuff I’d done today!.

Morning moon.
Closer.

McCains…
Ha!

few minutes! The hot water went cold again – I think the maintenance was working on the system, as a lot of noise could be heard throughout the day from above, which stopped around 16:00hrs.
Phone calls from the Anticoagulation DVT Unit, the Doctors Surgery, with the results of INR Warfarin Test at the Hospital yesterday; and a change in Warfarin dosage. Also reminded me that I had not booked in for a flu jab yet! Which I attached to the Carers book cover.
The most welcome call from Nurse Hristina, from the DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Anticoagulation unit at the Queens Medical Centre, and pictures of her face as she told me she would be calling on Monday or Tuesday next week to take more blood samples. Gawd she’s such a caring beauty! ♥. Damn, my being born too late! Hahaha!
of the Daktacort ointment… as I am of Germoloids and Olive Oil for the ear-holes! Things were not going very well! Of course, being the confident, Glass-Half-Full, cheerful nature that I am, this didn’t bother me at all… I laughed it off!
Kitchen to get the kettle on. Dank-looking morning view of the bottom field, across from the flats
But they took some moving in the first place…
I even did some cross-wording before things plopped out!
Back to make the brew, and got on the computer.
Mystery photo, here?
Love those white tootsies! Hehehe!
Early nosh sorted out.
From last night’s ‘Heartbeat’ methinks?
TTFN, All!

Grabbed the Kodak and took some shots of the legs & feet.
I think I took this one by mistake…
A close-up of the feet showed they were still of a different colouration to each other. The ankle ulcer looks like it just might be coming back again. Nothing new there!
Removed the night pouch from the day bag.
This took me an hour and a half. The shaving did not go well. Cuts and a terribly bad job done, too. Humph!
Outside the wet room.
Hallway end rubbish and the three-wheeled-walker. That’ll need sorting with the things I need to take with me.
To my right, the kitchenette.
Ott he waste bag sorted and put near the front door.
Went down six times in half an hour.
Awaited the Link lift in the foyer.
We arrived eventually, as we were taking a scenic route so the driver could pick up another passenger en route on Derby Road from a care home. No photos cause I was belted in and could not get at Kodak Kevin in the trolley.
Only managed to get one photo inside the EENT.
We then went through each one. She decided that because I didn’t know the last blood test INR level, she took me to the DVT Anticoagulation place, insisting she take me in a trolley seat. Leaving Three-Wheeled_Walker Walter at the mercy of the honesty of the others still waiting. I mentioned en route that my catheter bag was getting full.
Leaving the hospital to Lenton Lane.
Towards Derby Road.
Side street off Derby Road.
Another side street off Derby Road.
Derby Road nearing Canning Circus.
Huntingdon Street into the city.
Above & below…
The oh, so changed Shakespeare Street. The long-gone fire station and another abandoned building.
Left onto Mansfield Road.
A little further up…
Last Mansfield Road shot as we turned right into Woodborough Road. I recalled the old days with the trolleybuses. Even the blue-coloured Notts & Derby trolleybuses ran this route.
Huntingdon Street.
Mapperley Tops
As the rain came, the chap dropped me back at the flats.
I got swiftly out of the rain and into the foyer.
Taking this selfie in the lift on the way up. With taking this in the reflection of the shiny wall, I thought at first they’d done the wrong eye for me. Hehehe!

Newly spotted legs.

Swelling up again.

Window shot to the left.
Then to the right.

Bit of a bigger nosh tonight. Sliced potatoes roasted, garden peas, a soy burger, fancy strawberry-filled pastry (Not that there was much filling in it, mostly pastry, disappointed in this one), and a banana to finish off with. Taste Rating: 6.8/10.

Woke, I looked at the clock and tried to get back to sleep, but without any luck, but I did try.
So about 02:55hrs, I got the night pouch removed from
I went to check that no taps (faucets) or the stove had been left on, and I got the kettle on for a mug of Glengettie.
Got the waste bags sorted out.
To the wet room for a wash and get the medicationalisationings tackled. Shortages of medications: Germoloid, Germolene, Olive Oil and Nasal Spray! Tsk!
I’m not sure if I have some new leg water papules coming up or not.
The white area on the toes seems to be getting bigger? My email, American Petal-Angel Lisa, suggested this may be Reynauds? I must look this ailment up. ♥
A big order today… Fridge products sorted…
Then, the frozen ones…
Too much bread in stock! Tsk!
Fridge cram-packed…
Bladder Belinda liquids built up…
My new favourites, are LU soft lemon-flavoured cakes. Very nice indeed. During the day I ate two of these, four shortcake biscuits and two bananas. No meal yet but I may stay awake long enough to make something. Or not!

Brown-outs had grown to ten.
I felt the warm liquid in the lower region inside the Protection Pants! I knew immediately that this was a bad one.
But it was the last failure. Bless them!
Bootiful!

after an hour or so, it accepted my complaint.
I sent these photos in. They said someone would contact you, but I’ve heard nothing from them, yet.
The form to fill in, well, a part of it.
The driver took the bags through to the kitchen for me.
Some cleaners put away
Panini rolls; went into the freezer, and I took out a loaf of wholemeal to defrost. The desserts, Rustlers and soy balls went in the fridge, and the bananas were on the shelf.
Took this later shot of the puffer clouds.
and the Landline Flashed. I was tempted to leave it, but, rightly as it happens, I had an idea (it was right, too! From my EQ)

and taken to the front door.
A different than of late colouring to the morning view from the kitchenette window.

The new Sudocrem ointment is not effective at all, I’m afraid.
Having to ration the use of them, but paying for this in terms of discomfort and pain. Does the Prime (No idea) Minister know?
Brightening up a little out there. lo
.
As I was about to check to see if I had some more Olive Oil in stock to use… the
I could swear it was an insect of some sort. Where it came from puzzled me. The urine was almost a clear colour and I poured some to investigate what the thing was. It appeared to have tentacles at the thick end, and a head, at the other.
For a change, when the current bottle of spring water ran out, I had a can of Bud (alcohol-free) never tried it before. And, I’ll never try it again, terrible! Ah, well…
So, I made a reliable mug of Glengettie tea, unfortunately, this means none will be allowed for me tonight. Two a day is the limit… mind you, I can have as many mugs of decaffeinated as I fancy. Have you ever tried decaf tea? Don’t! Urgh!
The toes and extremities were even whiter today!
Last photo of the day.

Nocturnal wee-wee a little dark this morning.
Medicationings
Germoloid and Germolene tubes getting near to empty.
The usually dithering session over which of the Protection Pants to put on. Used the smaller Asda unisex ones!
The ends of the toes are going properly white now?
Tea for two, well, just for me, I made a brew
Kitchen morning view
Waste bags sorted out
View of the balcony from indoors.
Went onto the balcony to take this car par shot of the excellently parked vehicles.
What a terrible photo! He looks like a transparent ghost in this picture. Wonder who it is? Hahaha!

Tomatoes, instant mash with some Leicester cheese added to it, and the battered balls were done in the air-fryer.
Even if I do say so myself!
