– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

0450hrs: I stirred back into fabricated life. And it was Thought-Stormless! This has not been known for months now. All seemed calm in the bonce, too! Was she on holiday? And where was worry guts, ? Even was not the slightest bit interested in me! was the only ailment that was giving me trouble. As for even , she was noticeable by her absence! I was almost in a laid-back mode… I think. Not been like this for many years. What was going on? Had I been drugged or something?

I almost casually escaped the clutches of the c1968, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner, and moved over to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket), suffering slightly as rushed to avoid any accidents with of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) trying to start of its own accord. Then had t wait for ages for the PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) to stop!
Yet I seemed to take this all in my stride. Off to the kitchen to make a brew… Still no Glengettie available, but some should be coming today from Amazon.

I leant out of the kitchen window to take these two pictures.
The sky, and then the Chestnut Way car park below.

While I was mashing the mug of Thompson’s Signature tea, the oddest thing happened: I felt the micro-shuddering in the right leg, and I was convinced that there was about to be a Right-Leg-Dance routine kick-off. But no! Instead,   burst into life, which ensured that the freshly made mug of tea was knocked over. I had the right mess to clean up!
As I was getting down to do so, an burst forth, which had me down on one knee! During this, I banged the top of my head on edge of the kitchen top and knocked the papule! How it didn’t come off I don’t know, but I was glad it didn’t…

Then noticed I’d left the hot tap running in the sink again, and the water was stone-cold! Yet, still, I remained cool and calm. So, no hot water to use for the ablutions for a long time yet.
So, I got some water in the large saucepan and put it on a low light. Putting the freshly-filled saucepan back on the stove, and had another, albeit only for a few seconds this time, of the routines. During this, I split some water on the stove, me and the floor! I was beginning to get a smidgeon uptight now! Well, can you blame me?
I made another brew of Thompson.s Punjana tea. While it was brewing, I got an itch around the papule on my head. Removed the hat and went to scratch it…

ADVICE:
In the event you get an itch on a papule – do not scratch or pick at it.
Especially if you have an old dilapidated wristwatch on that has a split buckle with sharp bits sticking out.
Just thought I’d mention it, like.

I made up some waste bags, put them near the door, and got the computer on.
Checked the Emails, and I’d got this come in from Amazon. Confirmation that the Glengettie teabags are arriving today. Oh, good!
I was not too keen on the ‘Arriving today by 10 PM’ bit. But still, they are worth the wait. It’s just the thought of my managing to stay up that long that worries me. Still, they may come earlier than that! Optimism now, what next? Hahaha!

I got on with updating the Wednesday blog. I started reasonably well, but as time went by, I worked my way back into making errors, mistakes, and wrong corrections. Plus, a few Blanks didn’t help me much.

I was working my back to things being normal (Farcical, with a hint of brain-deadisms), I think?

After about three hours, I’d got the blog finalised and posted to WordPress. Things seem to be changing from my waking up in almost high spirits and sinking back to the usual quotidian ways.

As I was Pinteresting some photographs… and…

Thanks to Smoke & mirrors: (someone who draws attention away from often embarrassing or unpleasant figures or issues) man Mr Fries’s inability, even when getting paid a $23.7M salary, to get an internet service to work, I went to take some photographs.
Even more determined this time to get some zoomed-in photos of the moon that showed something of the moon’s surface.
Another failure! As anticipated and expected.

Can I blame the hazy morning sky? Hehehe! No? Fair enough!

Played from the door chime. Of course, when it went off, I suddenly realised I had not unlocked the door yet.

I hastened to the door and unlocked it. The picture on ‘s face said it all. “There’s no hope for him!” Hehehe!
Richard got the medications sorted out. He’d heard about my farce at the hospital yesterday. We had a laugh about it, actually. Then he went through the paperwork they had sent me home with and identified the things he thought I ought to remember, and wrote them down on the whiteboard for me.
He took the waste bags with him on the way out. And made for his bed, I hope he can get some R&R along with it. A grand lad.

I got a landline call; I think she was saying that I needed to make an appointment for an ECG before they could refer me to someone for help with dealing with getting me help with . I couldn’t understand why, but apparently, they are not too happy with the blood test results from last week? Oh!

Then we made an appointment for Wednesday 16th November at 14:30hrs.

Thanks to Fries, the internet was still not back on. So, I used the time to try and call Deana to arrange lifts for Wednesday the 16th to the doctor, and Thursday at 10:00hrs to Bulwell, returning at 12:00hrs. I couldn’t get her, though. I put these in the calendar and on the Whiteboard.

I got on the now working again internet, and then made a start on this blog. It was slow-going, no doubt about that.

Tried to get through to Deana once more, but no luck.

I was deep into pressing on with this blog, and sounded, and in came Esther. That was the end of any concentrating. Hehe! But Esther, despite talking to me from the other rooms, got the laundry down into the machine and returned.
She rang for me to arrange the two lifts I needed. Thank heavens she came! That gave me some ease of mind, not having to worry about them. And they could do both, thankfully for me. Phew!

I managed to do some more work on this blog for an hour or two.
Rang, and in walked Carer Charly. She was in a rush and a half.
Got the medications sorted, but we could not find the Peptac bottle. I found one in the prescriptions drawer. Maybe we used the last of the other bottle, but I can’t remember. still, we have enough. I’m just annoyed that I can’t remember about it.

I checked on the potatoes in the oven, finding I had not increased the heat sufficiently earlier on. Tsk!. I took this picture from the kitchen window while checking on the nosh. It came out a lot lighter than what it was but shows the varying colour of the skies. Greys and blues, ah, Mother Nature!

Yee-Ha!

Amber and the High-Norm rating again!
No idea how they work these things out, but I’ve only got one (SYS) in the green, same as yesterday (Temp) – but the results were so much lower and betterer! Beats me, but I like it!

I got the food served up, got down in the£300, used, second-hand shop bought nine years ago, c1966 built, discomfiting, alarmingly Kharki-beige coloured, crumb containing, TV remote hiding, not working recliner. Meal on my knee and turned on the TV. That was a waste of time. All those channels and nothing worth watching were on.

So I thought I’d get the radio on and started searching for the headphones. After several minutes of failure (I get used to these, you know), my memory kicked in, and I remember breaking the headphones when I sat on them last month! Hey-Ho!

Back to the now not-so-hot meal. believe it or not,  than what yesterday’s nosh did!
A simple meal for a simple-minded, dithering old bald, confused senior citizen. Just baked potatoes with vegan butter and sea salt.
The bread thins had gone really dry, so they were not eaten. The BBQ sauce was dipped into by both the sausages and potatoes. The tiny pot of Soya Lemon Yoghourt rounded off the meal. A Flavour-Rating of 8/10 granted, even if it was a little cold.

I washed the pots, and I resettled into the £300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner, in search of Sweet Morpheus. And I was soon of into a dream filled (can’t remember what about) sleep for about an hour…

I woke up in so much pain it took my breath away at first. was rampant in both calves. I repeatedly got up and tried to hobble about, to try to free the tightness. I failed, of course!
Every time, it eased a little, back in the recliner, feet up, and within minutes it started again. Several times I tried the Phorpain gel massaging. I even took some Paracetamol; that didn’t help either. Then a Codeine… I woke in agony that often it was getting to me. I was at my wit’s end with it.

I was taking what must have been for the tenth time, a hobble and stretching exercise, massaging, more pain gel, another Codeine 30g… I know I was taking too many, but the unbearably of the this morning forced me to try anything at the time.

I gave myself a  as I utilised the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket). That meant the positive end of any further aspirations, ideas or hopes of sleeping again! Not that I had more than an hour at most!

Letters, emails, comments and text messages, with any help that can be offered, on any ways to prevent this from happening again, or ease the pain at least, would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I was up out of the second-hand, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner on my feet, by 03:30hrs.
But the mind was so confused. I could remember the night before how well I felt in body and mind as well. It was as if a different person had woken up? Paramount in my head was being so far behind with my blogging. And apart from when the Carers called, I spent the next 16 hours trying to get caught up with it. But, it was a failed mission I’d given myself. Mainly due to my making cock-up after cock-up with trying to rush the job.
and made (that I know of, at least).

① Using CorelDraw to put some word info re the Ode. The CorelDawr progamme froze. I had to lose the progress I’d made. Turn the computer off, also losing the Ode I’d just written!
② Rebooted the computer, and some autosaved was available for the last used page. Opened it, and there were some bits of use on it. Then I had to save this one in a new name. Then find and delete the old one.
Then I got the Health Checks done. Copied the results on the NHS site and saved some graphics I could use to make up the finished product. But, No! The dam blasted Liberty-Global Virgin Media went down in the middle of it! How I hate that man, know-all Fries! Considering the salary he gets, he can’t even get his internet to work!
⑤ I had to wait for ages for the signal to return, then it was so slow!
I’d forgotten where I was when it came back on!
⑦ I made even more mistakes by getting all agitated and hateful of Fries.
⑧ Then, in the middle of mind-blank trying to sort things out, The kicked of with his tap-tapping and knock-knocking!
⑨ I’m afraid this was too much for me… Every knock he gave was returned by my trying to copy the noise with my Wooden-Wally Walking Stick against the top of the high bookcase. I’m not proud of this – but at the time, I even shouted out as loud as I could, “You Noisy *astard!” He gave me some more hassle later – which got the same response – but not the naughty language.

Not the best start to a day at all!

That’s all apart from the few things below that were not involved with getting on with the blog and making even more errors in it. I was fixated on getting it caught up with.

Genuinely worried about my lack of concern at the same time. As I said, it was like someone else ruling my mind.
At around 2150hrs, I still hadn’t done any ablutions or even changed out of my jammie bottoms. What’s going off

Here is a quick rundown of the day’s non-blogging events;

Carer Sam arrived. Can’t recall too much of it, but I’m sure I must have mentioned how I felt. Had a Snowball as a treat in thanks. ♥

I got the finished eventually.

The days’ events took the shine off of the results. I was actually down in the amber!!!

Checks were done on the taps and fridge/freezer doors. Heaters and stove not being left on.

The late morning mist was lingering a little.
I took these snaps of the view that seemed to look more like an artist’s watercolour effort than a photograph to me.

.Aha, sa trip to the Porcelain Throne was called for. After eight bloodless evacuations, it had to happen. Especially today… let’s cram some other Accifauxpas on the lad. ‘Humph!’
More blood from poor old than for ages. An almost grey-coloured torpedo slowly, bloodily and painfully escaped.

Many hours later, when I got around to putting the above snaps on, I found this photo on the SD card. I reckon I must have taken it when setting the Lumix before taking the two earlier photographs. An unintentional selfie of decent quality?

Then I also discovered the one below, of the car parking on Chestnut Way.
I can’t recall taking this one at the moment, though?.

Evening Carer Charley arrived, her usual cheery self.
I was getting the stuff out for a meal… this was at 19:05hrs. We had a natter and laugh for a minute when she’d done the medications giving. Cheeky-Charley selected a can of WooWoo and a choccy bar in thanks.

At long last, around 2I:40hrs, I got the chilli meal sorted.
Chilli, beans send 7- Roast smoked vegetable sauce added, and a pot of instant mash. Two out-of-the-oven part-baked rolls that went down well; and helped me to mop up the delicious, if a bit strong for me, chilli.
Sweet Morpheus was resistant again. Cragknangles!
TTFN all.

I just thought I’d do you an Ode to cheer you up!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

05:30hrs: I stirred slowly back into imitation life.
I had a desire for a mug of tea, a strong one. So this forced me out of the £300, second-hand bought nine years ago from the second-hand shop on Mansfield Road, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner. Did the exercises and caught my balance, albeit not fully; I was a little wobbly doing to the kitchenette and got the kettle on.

Glad to see I had not left the hot water tap (faucet) running, no heat left on the stove, and had shut the fridge and geezer doors.
The view outside was, to me, anyway, one of the prettiest for a long time. I decided to take some photographs. The Lumix battery was still charging, so I used the Fuji camera. A smidgeon disappointed with these shots compared to how they looked to my eyes – but then again, I have , and Achromatopsia Archie to contend with… the only excuse I could think of. Hahaha! I delayed making the brew, so I could get the done.
A little higher than yesterday’s figures.
Still in the Hypertension Red 1 zone, just but close to the Hypertension Red 2 zone. It seems my two-day sojourn into the amber zone has ended.
SYS 157, DIA 71, Pulse 82. The body temperature at 35.8°f. That’s come down a fair bit; very nice!

I got the figures into the Excel graph and cut out the last few days to show the comparisons. The daily zones I’ve been in are looking too good, Six in the Reds but three in the light greens. So not so bad after all.
Then I made a brew of J Sainsbury Extra-Strong Brown Label tea. Superb!

I got a waste bag made up and then went to get the ablutions done. No shaving, as I had one late last night, did I not? Yes, I did.
Sounded the ♫Oh, Susana ♫ tune and came into the room. He was splitting the time between coughing and yawning this morning, poor bloke.
I took a bag into the kitchen to get Richard’s treats packed up. As I got underneath the door frame, I collapsed on both knees! No dizziness nor Neuropathic leg dancing, and no idea what had caused it? Hit my head on the way down. And within moments, kicked off as well. It was a blessing that Richard was here when it happened. He got me back up and into a chair. The effects were, apart from Anne Gyna, not too bothersome. I took an extra painkiller, with the usual medications, and Phorpained both knees. The knees and head were soon cleared. It’s just that’s giving me hassle now.

Further…

The flipping Lumix camera has stopped working again!

② The Fuji camera I left on this morning and the batteries are flat! Humph!

has started what must be a mammoth job. Not stop banging, tapping and clattering noises for bloody hours; he didn’t stop until around 17:00hrs!

④ My concentration was shot, and my anger and impatience grew!

kicked of with a fogginess never known. Is it not bad enough that had a tumble? , , and the cursed were making me miss shake and hitting wrong icons, which I could barely see anyway… my frustration and Herbert’s noise were really getting me uptight! Without the next cock-up:

I actually deleted all of the 80-40-0 icons from the computer! Permanently! I had to spend hours making new ones on CorelDraw, getting them on WordPress, and sizing each one of 32 tags individually before using them!

I am now going to stop computing and try to get something to eat. The evening carer is due anytime now – she or he will miss the pleasure of waking me up.

Fed-up. Peed off, in pain, struggling to see, and generally not feeling very good. If Herbert starts his noise again when I’m eating my food, I will be tempted to go up to the animal’s flat and have words, but I’m ready, through frustration and anger, to go a step further than words- which is a silly idea at my age. Of course, he may have had some carpet fitted or repair work carried out?

Well, blow me down with a feather duster! The Lumix us working again? This is baffling me. Then again, a lot of things do that nowadays!

Jenny called on the landline; the last of the glasshouse tomatoes had arrived, and she kindly said she’d pop some up doe me later on. ♥ Bless her. She’s so kind to me.
Minutes later, burst from the door chime. Jenny had brought them up and left them outside the door. And they were super-duper tasty! She even skipped in a Cadbury creme egg for me. Hahaha!
I made the meal; I sliced some tomatoes on a leaf-side tray. Just got down to eat it, and…
Rang out! Got up and ventured to the door; it was neighbour Josie, bringing me some bananas as a thank you for her letting me down with the Sunday lunch. For the first time ever, she apologised for letting me know so late in the day. Bless her! I still ink her Sister is a bit of a bully towards her; what the Sister says, Josie does. I made light of it and asked if she enjoyed the reheated chilli. “Oh, it was lovely!” she replied. That cheered me up.
I got down in the £300 second-hand, decrepit, Haemorrhoid Harold-testing, sleep deterring, nauseatingly beige-coloured, not-working recliner. And took the first forkful of the BBQ-flavoured rice, which was nice…
, came in. She got the medications sorted, and we had a little natter and a laugh about something or other. Sam took her choice of drinkies and nibbles on her way out.
I was going to get back to the now cold meal, but could not rely on me remembering to lock the door, so went and did that.

Tried again to get the meal eaten. I succeeded this time. Haha!
Despite it being barely warm, I thoughourly enjoyed it. As I mentioned earlier, Jenny’s tomatoes tasted superb.

A Flavour Rating of 8.2/10 was given.

I put the emptied of all food tray on the Carers table and proceeded to watch an episode of Heartbeat on Channel 10 on Freeview.
Ahhh!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I woke up and was on my way to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) within 30-seconds of stirring back into ersatz life! With managing to almost fall out of the £300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner last night. I don’t know how I didn’t lose contact with the Amazon-bought, uncomfortable, plastic-peeling-off-of swivel chair! Hahaha! Yes, I’d fallen asleep at the computer!

The wee-wee was of the variety of UTD (Unwilling-Trickling-Dribbling) and CM (Cessational-Micturitional dribbling). The after-dribble after the initial wee-wee, possibly tool three times longer!
As I turned back with the bucket to be emptied held in my hands, I stubbed my toe against the ottoman! My reaction to saving the bucket from being dropped; was nothing short of a miracle. I dropped it, but not from a great height, and the liquid stayed in the bucket. Naturally, as the pain shot up the leg to the brain, I merely laughed it off. No cursing whatsoever.

I got the bucket emptied, sanitised and disinfected, and got on with the task of sphygmomanometerisationing.
I was jolly-well pleased with the Blood

Pressure figures. I put them in the medical site’s programme and returned this descriptive graph. I remembered that the Riverside Diabetes meeting for today had been cancelled as I was doing the readings.
I added my graphics to it in the name of entertainment… and because I love making them for a bit of fun.
After four days in the red zone, one day nearly of-off the graph: Things seem much improved today. Back in the amber area, that’s where I like it to be as well. Although two years ago, I had one day in the green Zone. Yes! That’s been my target ever since! If I live long enough, I might achieve this.

Aha! My spirits rose enormously! This morning’s Carer was Carol-Anne! Not seen her for months, many months. I thought she’d left to be honest.
What a precious gal. I had to give her a kiss and cuddle on her arrival. Carole didn’t mind, bless her. She spoke of the extra hour on Fridays, not having been since it was so-called arranged. I explained: It was initially for the Carer to do the laundry. But sometimes the laundry would come back not dried, and the clothing wrinkly. Also, I had not had socks, bobble hats, and shirts returned. Conversely, I have made a hand towel, tea towel, and pair of ladies’ knickers. I’m still paying for the hour, even though I’m paying Esther to do the laundry. She does a good job, and Esther hangs up the trews and shirts for me. Also as well as and besides that, she sews missing buttons on for me. Carol and I had an excellent nattering session, mostly me bemoaning my plight with the Diabetes, PN and Doctors farce. As I was paying for the hour, she lent me an ear. Hehehe! She checked the dates on the stuff in the fridge for me, cheese and ready meal found out of date. She will talk with my Doctor for me when she gets back to work. Carol has a few days off, going with her Mum away for a while. Great! She had to rush off after the hour, another call to make.

I spent many hours on CorelDraw before getting onto the blogging. Most of it was accompanied by Herbert’s mechanical concert from above. Percussion and drums mostly, with an odd clunk, throw in for good measure.

It was well into the afternoon before I started the daily ode and cartoon-creating. But I love doing the blog. Sometimes my hoard of followers and fans comment on them, you know. Why, on one day, only last month, both of them did!

That took a while too. Better get summat to eat before the evening carer arrives. Now then, what’s in the fridge freezer to have? I shall investigate… hang on; I’ve got some potatoes already on the boil.

Hang on, I’ve got to get the Warfarin tablets cut. So, I will do that. All done!
I’ll get a meal of some sort sorted out. Potatoes, tomatoes, and pretend fish sticks, it looks like. Good job. I’ve got the JS order coming on Sunday. It’s looking bare in the fridge after throwing away the short and out-of-date food. Tsk!

I’ll have a rummage around to see what can be found. To make a decent meal… Doreen makes me feel a schlemiel!

Well, I managed to knock up a half-acceptable-looking plate of fodder.
Imitation fish sticks, crispy onions, tomatoes, gherkins and those terribly-tasteless so-called by J Sainsbury, new potatoes. The overall flavour score was 6.4/10. The tomatoes and pretend fish sticks were not bad.

Arrived late, into that it mattered to me. Two Carers, one presumably a trainee. I was in a half-daze from being rudely awakened (Haha!), so I cannot say who it was that came or what happened. I recall telling them to help themselves to a treat on the top of the bookcase. Then walking to the door with them to lock it and wishing them well.

After that, I got down in the recliner again and started to watch the end of the heartbeat programme. I and my nodding off again. I woke for a wee-wee with a mammoth amount of

Back to the TV, nodded off again, and woke for another wee-wee! With the regulation .

Fell asleep again and woke up with the Dirty Harry film being shown; it was just starting. I decided to try and enjoy viewing it and bugger the sleeping. Ah, I like Clint Eastwood films.

At least another ten or twelve times and had to have four more wee-wees.

Woke up with the film credits scrolling down the screen! Well, that was Farcical!

I was worn out by then.
One final wee-wee with , and off to the wet room to clean and freshen up. Changed into new PPs, of course.
Straight off into the land of nod when got down again.
Overnight, I had to force myself awake eight more times for a wee-wee! Each one was short and sharp. Thankfully there were no more leakages, seepages or in these ones.

What an Oddlimost day!

Inchcock’s Thought Storms

Introduction

His odes, in many ways, are like a zit…

An unwanted ailment, you have to squash it…

Full of pus, staph bacteria, that hurts a bit,

Lost words, replaced with whatchamacallits,

Rhyming is so bad that it can ruin friendships,

Dementia Doreen causing so many errors and blips,

Inchy’s not educated, so he struggles at penmanship…

Now lost his logicality, of which he once had a firm grip!

He dreams of his brain being men mended, maybe, reequipped.

Mental power, dreams, and memory have to the ether slipped…

But is losing the battle; thus, he is about ready for his crypt.

Mood Update:

While struggling to get the preceding crap ode done, I got increasingly confused. I may have just posted bits of a Snippet ode wot I did in between today’s efforts. I have to write this stuff on Word, and then I get a spell checker. Then cut and paste into Blogger, where the colour and font size usually changes, and I have to go through it all again, ever correcting! I got a little depressed with things, life etc… I gave up and transferred it to WordPress. It’s a true-life farcicalness with Doreen Dementia!

However, I had a bit of good fortune in taking a tumble while making a brew of Thompson Punjana tea. Cracking my left knee on a cabinet corner as I went down. Everything seemed to change then, outlook and contentment-wise.

I suddenly gleaned a previously unthought series of thoughts:

Why am I worrying? The end is nigh, and whatever I do, the Doctor will not accept Doreen Dementia’s existence, so there is no chance in hell of getting any help. ‘Fact!’

As much as I miss my daily hobbles, walking to the shops, and in the tree copse. I no longer have the ability to take them. ‘Fact’ You’ll just have to accept the inevitable, Chambers!

Walking into things may get less after I’ve had the eyes done. No point in fretting over it, the right eye cataract will take time to work, but there is a good chance I will again be able to do crosswords (not that I was any good at them, Hehe!), Not fret over the other eye being done afterwards. It’ll take a long time ‘Fact’.

Should I snuff it before they are done well? Would it matter? Apart from an unknown to me, a battle to get at my valuables from sudden relatives who care… I shall not be around to see it, and I can’t take them with me, (Or, can I?). So, good luck to them. ‘Fact!’

I tried thinking about happier times… that was not easy. Hehe! But Suzanne Jean Percival came to mind first and foremost, and they really were genuine happy memories. ‘Fact!’

That made me feel worse when I realised my current position… So quiet here today, even the noisy standoffish, antisocial, smarmy, reticent, toploftical git in the flat above was not making any noise! Loneliness is something that rarely affects me, but it did then. No one visiting. No phone calls, text messages… a sense of isolation. ‘Fact!’

After I’d cleared up the mess in the kitchen and Phorpain gelled the knee, I made another brew, of Glengettie tea this time, the mood rose… without any reason, nothing had changed, yet suddenly I was ashamed of myself – and self-loathing at my pathetic self-pitying took over.‘ Fact!’

There are so many others in a worse state than I am. Somehow, although it didn’t cheer me up, my acceptance of things grew.

So I got on with this blog’s making.

Nemo Mortalium Omnibus Horis Sapit

LATE THOUGHT-STORMS!

As a young man, I thought I was a brainiac…
But that was sixty-odd years ago, way back,
I’ve been through periods of wine and Prozac,
Lived in a tent, then moved up to a wooden shack…
Cost of livings to high got to cut back!

I used to believe in Old Moore’s Almanac!
Bought a Robin Reliant, but I wanted a Cadillac…
That had to go because I got the sack,
Others had briefcases, me? A haversack!
I’ve never won the lottery, Monopoly, or blackjack…
Amazon, Facebook, eBay my computer track,
Maybe it’s because I’m a senile maniac?

TTFNski!

Inchcock Today: Sunday 5th June 2022 – With Odeing

ODE OF THE DAY

SPOTTY-FACED TOO!

ODE TO LIFE

I’m searching to find actuality…
But combining this with reality…
It is not easy or of practicability,
Doreen Dementia lurks sinisterly…
Stopping the brain working correctly…
Wrong thoughts and memories run freely…
Confusion is rampant, daily… hourly!

But, no point in acting sourly…
It’ll only make me act more dourly,
I must avoid existing dismally…
I used to act so enthusiastically?

I still can, but guilt comes dreadfully…
Forcing thoughts unsympathetically…
This is not me, the old me anyway…
I’ve never been so irascible and broody,
I wish these fears would just go away…

Sunday 5th June 2022

04:35hrs: I woke; I had a feel around for aches and pains and stretched some limbs, but could not get rid of a feeling that something was wrong? Had I forgotten something? It may have been there being no moist area in the crevices? This means no bleeding from Harold’s Haemorrhoids or Little Inches Fungal Lesion… Good news, though!

I forced my elephantine sized stomached body up onto my feet. Caught my balance easy enough, grabbed metal Micky and hobbled to the wet room in reply to urgent messages from the intestines for the Porcelain Throne to be utilised.

Trotsky Terence kicked off with a splattering noise when my bottom hit the plastic seat; in seconds, all done! Stinky, almost liquid and for the first time ever – the evacuated product lay the steaming… in three distinctly different shades of brown? Very pale, a khaki and almost black sections floated around together? Another mammoth job of cleaning up required, which, while being done, was accompanied by some threatening gurglings and stabbing pains from the innards! Mmm?

I finished the cleaning and sanitising, made up a waste bag, and started prepping to do Josie’s mead. I sliced some mushrooms, chestnuts, onions, and then tomatoes. I got the seasoning and puree added in.

I took shots of the morning view while it was still dark.

The houses in Sherwood, and then one of the car parks on Chestnut Way, opposite my treasured Woodthorpe Court block of flats, from the kitchenette window.

The colours of the vehicles were limited. Grey or silver, black or white, and a red one.

I got on with doing the Ode and updating the Saturday blog.

2: Same again, almost exactly, but less content. More cleaning up is to be done. Tsk! Trotsky is enjoying himself today?

The Carer arrived, a little tense, I thought (Not uptight or anything, just tired, bless her). So I got my charms working to cheer her up as best I could. She came out a little, which I was pleased with. Kiyer, her name, I think. Nibbles were supplied in thanks, and she took the waste bag with her to the chute.

Made a start on today’s template, then finished Saturday’s book and sent it to WordPress. Emailed the link.

At this stage, it dawned on what the odd feeling was when I woke up. I didn’t need a weewee! That was about 4½ hours ago, and I still haven’t needed one?

The sphygmomanometer was utilised to get the Blood Pressure readings. Another set of reasonable returns for today, as it has been for three days on the trot now! SYS 148. DIA 70 and the Pulse had gone up smidgeon to 91bpm.

My Chinese (Hong Kong) made Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd™, contactless thermometer, showed an increase to 34.6°c. I think that’s a good sign. Much better than of late…

Off to check on Josie’s chilli meal. All looked and tasted good when I had a spoonful.

Aha! A weewee is needed at last. But it’s a false alarm; nothing came out at all?

Got some blog creating started at last on this one. Then had to stop to concentrate on getting Josie’s meal sorted out. Back in a bit…

Made the chill-con-carne into two meals, one in a tub for Josie to have later on or tomorrow and the porcelain bowl for today. Added a few treats to the tray and took it dead on time as arranged to Josie’s door.

I pressed her bell but got no answer. Oh, dear, have I got it wrong again? Perhaps she’s told me she’s going out today and not wanting a meal? Or is she poorly inside the apartment? A bit of panic overcame me! I went back into the flat to ponder what to do…

I almost dropped the food tray; my mind was in a bit of a pickle. Thank heavens I didn’t, though. As I put the tray down inside the door and turned to close it, I espied Josie’s door opening…

I was well pleased to see she was alright when I asked her, she said, ‘I was on the phone with my sister’. If only the poor gal could remember that I always deliver her meal at 12:00hrs on a Sunday, or maybe even ask her Sister to ring at a different time? Or tell me she wants the meal at another time in future? I went through a few minutes of anguish, not knowing if she was alright or not and what could I do about it? Still, she couldn’t help it, and she was okay. So nevermind.

I got my nosh done and served it on the tray. BBQ rice and two veggie sausages, with a banana to follow. Nice enough. Taste rating 7.2/10

After eating the rice and bangers, I put on a Dr Who DVD, and I promptly nodded off. Of course, within minutes, I jumped back into life, as is usual for me nowadays. And I felt like I could manage something else to eat. I took the ray knife and porcelain bowl into the kitchen and soaked them in the washing up bowl. At first, I thought, aha, I’ll have some cornflakes, checked to see if there was enough milk to use, and remembered about the NoBull ice cream in the freezer. I opted to have that instead. I polished it all off, and boy, it was so tasty too! Took the tray back to the sink and washed it with the other stuff in the bowl.

Carer Kiya arrived and got me sorted out, taking the waste bag with her.

Now a new thought arrived. I’ll have to find out where I bought the vegetarian ice cream and get some more ordered; it was that good! I checked on the J Sainsbury order coming tomorrow but could not find any vegetarian ice cream at all. So, I had a look at the Iceland site. Ah, there it was, and on offer as well! I had to spend a minimum of £40, but that’s no problem for a shopaholic like me. Hehehe! Veggie burgers, treats for the carers, cheese & onion pasties, strawberries, tomatoes, mushrooms, butter, BO spray, spring water, chips, and, of course, the NoMoo ice cream!

Good heavens, Herbert’s did a bit of clanging about just now, and it’s nearly midnight. Humph!

I’ve just realised I’ve only had two weewees all day?

I’ll get this finished off and posted.

See’s ya later!

Inchcocks Selected Whoopsiedangleplops of the day

ONE

SOCK GLIDE-GLENDA

Absolutely!

This morning, I used Sock-Glide-Glenda, rather unwisely,
I felt confident and assured that I could use it injury-free!
I wanted to prove I’ve no need to be nervy…
Sure, that I had the ability, guts, and dexterity!
I thought this task to be just a formality…
Where I got this idea from also confused me!

It was going along pretty well, almost easy peasy!
But my confidence in my abilities turned into nihility…
Stepping out of frame, I lost my feelings of sensitivity,
And tumbled onto Glenda… tempting moribundity!
Scratches, bruises, welts… such a pity…
I soon lost my earlier orotundity!
I really am a liability!

Although the welt is morphing into putrefaction…
Add the bruised on the head for precision,
I came out in fair nick from this Accifauxpas action…
I’ve had no severe reaction…
It just spoils my good looks and beautification!

TWO

The Iceland Food Cometh!

No unavailable substitutes, things looked good,
The driver took the bags to the kitchen…
Thanked him, can of pop given, as I should…
The stomach wounds show no signs of blood…
I’d ordered some beef chunks, priced very good,
Went to get the fodder away as I would…
Then I saw the beef; some pieces looked like wood!
The rest were coloured red, as they should!

Above is the photo I took of one of the packs of need. Some pieces looked like cannabis colours blocks; the others looked fine. Opening up the pack, still in date, the texture of the CBD Hemp looking ones (about 30% of the contents!); was of an entirely different texture to the others? Things got me a little hot under the collar; when I checked the other two trays, they all had the Cannabis coloured chunks in them. I visited the Iceland site, and I checked the email that Iceland had sent…

I tried through the internet and found a page where they said I could email them… Fine, I thought, I’ll do that then… I’d got the details needed and went through a mammoth set of questions to finally get down to the email Iceland section at the bottom… But No! There was a list of reasons for the email, and one had to be selected. Otherwise, it didn’t let me get to the email page. Grumph!

So, I had to try the landline.

Dialled the number, and it was answered quickly… I waited… By a recorded message telling me they were experiencing a large number of calls and spent a few minutes telling me how I could contact them on the web, even recommending that I do that.

But not for long; the recorded message chappie interrupted the kip-the-sods-waiting music, which seemed like every minute. “If you want to know where your delivery is, phone…” Then next time something like – it was hard to hear him) “If you wish to question any charges… ring” – Followed by “A list on all new products re available at ……… .com” I had about ten of these interruptions.

Eventually, I got a real person to talk to. But hearing what she was saying was a nightmare! I answered all the details asked of me. I didn’t know how many pimples I had on my bottom, so I couldn’t answer that one… Hahaha! Only joking!

After only 20 minutes of the call being answered, I thanked her for her help. I’ve no idea why. I hadn’t got the foggiest notion of what was going to happen. But did catch ’email mentioned a minute before she rang off? So anticipate getting one (email) about a refund… or not, if I’ve got it wrong again…

I got this Email shortly after laundry and ironer Esther had gone. She kindly brought me the numbers to ring Amazon about the misleading information about my deliveries. Bless her.

And here we go…

Three

Amazing Amazon Cock Up

They told me as below on the tracker thingamajig. That the Galpharm Capsules would arrive on 20th – 21st April. They were delivered last Thursday 14th April). More of concern, they told me the Throw had been delivered last Saturday? I have not arrived yet! And was originally due on the 23rd of April. Confusion reigns?

Four

Things started well; I oiled the ears to make them less waxy,
But they were still solid; the oiling failed dismally,
I syringed in water, which worked satisfactorily…
I waited for anything happening, cynically…
The noises from the canals became sort of crackly,
I viewed the treatment as failed – somewhat sceptically!

Nasal clearing, Germoloiding, Germolening… carefully…
All going okay; I Pain Gelled my knees and ankles easily…
Got the eye drops in… well, practically… but woefully…
Some got into the eyes, but with Shaking Shaun’s ability…
I got most of it down my cheek into my mouth, literally!

Then came the Blood Pressure taking…

Then onto the sphygmomanometerisationing,
In other words, the blood pressure taking…
The results lately have been astounding…
The last eight tests, all within a high rating…
But only just, nothing worth worrying about…

Flibbledonkackles! & Spurgledamnations!

Great Balls Of Fire!

Bloody Nora, what a shock!
This made me clench my buttock!
And my bladder wanted to unlock!
Hehehe!
I’ll have to ponder and take stock?
I checked the NHS site, like a shot!

Computer on, I entered details in the NHS, BP chart…
My result was off the scale; I passed an unintentional fart,
But I felt well pretty well, as best I could tell…
Leave it; check again later? Is that smart?
Listen to some music, perhaps some musical art?
Joannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart,
He was only 39 when from this earth he did depart!
I’ll go on the NHS helpline, well, it’s a start…

This message came on the screen after I pressed the ‘Go’ button to see the graph. Automatic response, mayhaps?

–  –  –  –  –  –  –  –  –  –  –  –  –  –  –

A typical day for an old one like me… ruminations…
Frustrations, Whoopsiedangleplops, abominations,
Lack of socialisation and communications…
Accifauxpas, injury collecting, misread intonations,
The mind’s acute lack of clarity and precision!

Deafness, warping conversations,
Confirmation of hypertension…
Worries about the yobbo’s flat intrusion,
The brain is confused between reality and illusion…
A nasty, Thought-Storm invasion,

But odd things that baffled yet pleased me?
A movement in my loins, the first since 2003!
A yearning to have back my 4×4 Panda Sisley?
I wanted a pan of streaky smoked bacon, crispy…
Needing the dentist to repair my cavity…

Hate: Dementia Doreen, for causing such deficiency,
Denying my once held abilities, from logicality…
Ensuring my confidence less, and other disabilities…
My memories fade, but old ones remain: A malady?
Not knowing what time & day it is, is not an abnormality!

Failed & deferred appointments, like with the audiologist,
A Doctor who I’ve forgotten what she looks like?
The Ophthalmologist, no appointments were missed…
That’s cause I haven’t had one yet, about which I’m pissed!
Three cancellations from the phlebotomist…
Just the one from the immunopathologist,
Four from the Gerontologist, Two for the dentist…
The DVT clinic, four from the neuropathologist…
Could I get help from a psychiatrist or hypnotherapist?
A couple more to put on the cancelled list!
I must stop moaning… I must desist!

Inchcock Today: Tues 5th April 2022 – Introductory Ode!

Inchcock Today

Introductory Ode!

All Inchies’ plans, hopes, desires get obliterable,
All of the wishes and prayers fade; it’s unfixable…
In a crowd, he’s always the one that’s unnoticeable,
Thought-Storms, wild ideas become pestilential…
His handwriting is now virtually untranslatable,
Voices, alarms, so many to Inchie are unhearable,
Problems are increasing… not many are solvable,
Friendships, chinwags are all uncultivatable,
As seeing lip-reading with Cataracts is not doable…
Vascular Dementia Doreen has ruined the potential…
To do anything that is enjoyable or cherishable!

Inchie should get a medal for being so confusable…
He’s given up socialising, he’s no longer compatible,
Inchies depressions are no longer confineable,
Hell, they are not even logical or describable…
He tries to talk seriously, his views are uninfluential,
Inchies common sense is turning surreal,
His neurotransmitters are no longer connectable…
To the brain; so too falls and shakes he is liable…
But hopes of a cure are almost non-existent… Sniffle!

Yet he can have hopes, some of them substantial,
But why he bothers is just unanswerable…
Will he feel better when his eyes are done; its arguable,
Cataracts, Glaucoma Saccades, are treatable…
But will Inchy love long enough? Life’s a raffle…
For 25 years now, he’s been totally tea-total,
He never thought he’d persist and be capable,
See? Summat he got right is detectable!

On past City & QMC visits, he became reflectable,
Hoping those he awaits will not be fatal…
He’s waiting on dates of five procedures at the hospital,
Will soon come about and be arrangeable,
But he’s not too hopeful and not getting flappable…
He’s more worried about the logistics; will he be able…
Which can do him no good and be detrimental…
That’s another thing he needs, treatment dental!

He fears arranging things transportational…
A carer to stay with him, which’d be pleasurable,
After the 3 procedures, stay for 24hrs – is this possible?
What’s the procedure: is it cost credible?
I don’t know why I wrote this; it’s grammatically unpublishable?

Tues 5th April 2022

03:30hrs: The now, usual for the last four mornings anyway, jumping awake to the tormenting sounds of the Thought-Storms, driving me into instant confusion, began.

I reckon the storm lasted for about three minutes, then faded fast. No idea why, but happy about it!

Even getting out of the c1966 recliner and up to catch my balance was easy-peasy! Three-limps with Metal Mickey to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket) and took another reluctant wee-wee. Without any PM (Pre-Micturitional) or CM (Cessational Micturitional) dribbling. Things looked hopeful to me for a better day in the offing? Until…

I soon learnt that Peripheral Neuropathy Pete had replaced the Thought-Storm as the primary ailment. Although, right Cartilage Cathy was assisting in making hobbling a smidge difficult. But I’m not complaining; this knee pain and wobbling leg were a pleasure to put up with compared to yesterday morning’s Dracula Depression. Yes, I was feeling much better already!

Emptied, cleaned and disinfected the bucket and had a wash of sorts. Then, returned the NWWB to its handily placed position. Just in case things change with the bladder, off to the kitchen.

The view from the kitchenette window was very similar to yesterday’s beautiful picture.

I took this photograph. Even if it looked like yesterday.

As I opened the window, the wind caught me out. I moved a little with the camera and knocked over the knife block! I managed to catch it without any harm or injury, and only one knife fell out of the block! I was trying not to get into a Smug-Mode, as history has taught me that doing that can prove almost fatal! At minimal a foretaster of something else going wrong, at least! I made up two waste bags and placed them near the door. Got the kettle on and made a brew of JS Extra Strong tea. And off to get the computer going.

I kept getting messages telling me to put a disc in the F: drive, which had been there all along. The SD card reader refused to react again. So I left the card in to see if it would later on. I occasionally responded by giving the SD card a soft jingle – but it made no difference. Hey-ho!

Carer Richard arrived. He soon got me sorted with the medications, alarm-alert battery checks and looked at the supply of drugs in the drawer. He had to shoot off. He gave me a bit of a natter, though, bless him. He didn’t look too good this morning. Hope he’s going to be alright.

After updating yesterday’s blog for a while, I made another brew. Glengettie this time, and I tried the new ‘Just Milk’ in it again.

I’ve no idea if anything in it is different to normal semi-skimmed milk; the writing is too tiny for Cataract Kathleen to make it out. But I have to say that it lets the flavour of the tea come through without masking it, better than any other milk I’ve tried. As I got back to updating the blog…

The need for the Porcelain Throne interrupted me. As I casually got up and grabbed Metal-Mickey, the urgency of the need snowballed, and it ended up with just making it in time, after a panic, rush and quick hobble! Hahaha!

Not exactly as smooth as silk, and it was accompanied by different pains areas this time, despite the evacuation being semi-soft. All over in about a minute! No bleeding, stinging or hurting from Harold’s Haemorrhoids either. As I was cleaning up after the event. I realised that it may well be my having a second vegetable meal in three days that made things uncomfortable and nearly caught me out? Back to chips and a pastie with tomatoes tonight!

Made another brew, Thompsons Punjana this time. Oh, I am spoilt for choices with great tasting teas! My best four are, from the top: Glengettie, Thompsons Punjana, Co-op 99 and JS Extra Strong Brown Label. But there is little between them. All great!

Made a restart on the updating of yesterday’s blog. At long last, I got it done and posted it off to WordPress.

Sphygmomanometerisationing began. The Boots machine returned slightly better figures this morning. The SYS has gone down from 169, 161, 159 and now to 157. My blood pressure is going in the right direction! And the body temperature is so very nearly on target again, at 34.8°c. Good!

Back to the wet room, no waiting this time, first songs and I was off. Hehe! Bubbly is one word to describe the evacuation this time. Almost frothy? Not a lot, no bleeding and no pain!

I replied to some Emails… well, the one. Hehe! I did some Facebooking catch-up. Starting the WP Reader viewing and…

Mr Nice, from the flat above, launched into some clanging about.

I spent a long time trying to get this post started. The concentration did a runner, and so many mistakes were made and had to be found and corrected. I imagine I’ve missed some; there were that many! The top Ode cost me a few hours of disheartening faffling about.

It was well into the afternoon when I got up to here with the scripturising. I like that word; I expected Grammarly to tell me it was spelt wrong. Oh, sod it, it just told me belatedly!

Better get some nosh sorted out then.

Took a photo of the Chestnut Way end car park. Just to see how red-van-man had parked.

Even with the Cataracts, it caught my eye that the popularity of car colours on the front spaces. Grey, black and white seems to be in fashion here at the towers. Disabled ones, perhaps?

I got the nosh all sorted out. Fishcakes with mushy peas in them, imitation fish sticks, tomatoes and some reasonably decent chips. Dessert and milk roll bread. Rating: 7/10.

Fell asleep watching something or other on the TV. Two hours or so later, ♫ Oh, Susan ♫ chirped from the door chime, and the evening carer arrived. An obviously experienced young chap, not seen him before. Good at the job, sorted the medications and came up with a solution to dropping the tablets and regurgitating without noticing. The Carer suggested taking them one at a time. Good idea, I’ll try that! Thanked him, and off he went.

As I checked around to make sure no taps or lights had been left on and all was safe – I saw the view from the kitchenette window. It was beautiful; I got the Canon and took this photo.

Then, a programme, well, two consecutive ones, were shown on the same channel. I fancied watching them both and got myself settled with a bottle of spring water, the wee-wee bucket nearby, feet up on the chair in readiness to enjoy them. I fell asleep at the first set of adverts and woke up two hours later to catch the finishing credits for the second documentary! Hey-Ho!

Inchcock Diary & Local News Snippets Part 32⅔

Breaking News!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Inchcocks Diary Wednesday 9th February 2022

Around 03:10hrs, I woke for the umpteenth time – I urgently needed to utilise the Porcelain Throne. Again, as I got up quickly, Dizzy Dennis visited me, but I didn’t fall back into the rickety recliner this morning. That must have pleased Harold’s Haemorrhoids; it did me, that Germoloid Cream is not cheap, you know!) However, I stubbed my right big toe on the doorframe going into the wet room… Which is better than clouting my shoulder on the doorframe!

Unfortunately, the evacuation was another loose, splotchy, messy affair. But not as bad as yesterday morning. I withheld going into a Smug-Mode, all the same.

Back to the main room. And as I got some clothes on, I chatted with my family, of fun furries. (Sweetly supplied my HRH Lisa, in the USA♥). They and even I seemed in a decent mood for once.

I got the kettle on and went to do the sphygmomanometerisationing, etc. The temperature first came out at 34.4°c. 93.92°f. I checked on Mr Google, who told me: “Hypothermia is a dangerous drop in body temperature below 35C (average body temperature is around 37°c). It’s a medical emergency that needs to be treated in the hospital! I really can’t understand this? I’ve been in the 34°c areas for over a week now, but no Health personnel have said anything? I wonder if I’ve got it wrong somehow? Hey-Ho! Confusion Conrad with me again. Did the Blood Pressure next. SYS 151, Dia 73 and Pulse 68. I’ll check these on the NHS site. Back in a bit…

Message back: A blood pressure reading of 151/73 indicates Stage 1 Hypertension (high blood pressure). Well, the Doctor knows about this, whether she’s bothered or not, I don’t know. I’m on tablets for high BP… I’ll check again… I found it; the Ramipril is for BP; should I take an extra one… or not? Oh, dearie me! One day last week, my BP MedPhorpainwas 171/65, but I didn’t feel poorly. The last thing I need is another stroke. Mind you, I’m not all the tickled pink with losing my eyesight and teeth. The hearing is virtually gone, anyway. Innit a life! I olive-oiled the ear-holes. Phorpain gelled the knees.

But I refused to wash or medicate Little Inchies fungal lesion with the darned, Oh sp painful Daktacort. This obviously is because it’s as disheartening as owt I’ve had! And my being a namby-pamby sissy, left it until later. Tsk!

I nearly made a cock-up, and took one of the capsules from Amazon that Esther said help you sleep better. They work for her brother, I think she told me. I got two bottles, one for Carer Richard, who mentioned when I told him of my waking up at night lately that he is suffering the same thing. But we must not take any in the morning, just at night to help us stay nodded-off! Har-har! Nice to be able to help out with him being a good lad.

I made a start on finishing yesterdays blog and got it done eventually. Then tried to make an order for J. Sainsbury’s. But the system was down again. Humph! Had to use Iceland. Ultra limited choice and crazy substitutions are their forte.

Started the template graphics for today’s post, and “Oh, Susana” chimed away as Carer Richard came in! The poor lad had his leg collapse on him last night, get strain and bruising. But, I cheered him up a smidgeon by giving him his CBD Hemp tablets I’d bought for us both to try. A tube of pain gel for his leg. A bottle of spring water, an Easter egg, and a can of plonk. He definitely left happier than he arrived; bless him. Don’t think I’ll see him until the following Monday now.

Richard departed sooner than Herbert kicked off with his tapping and banging. On and off all morning, but not too bad.

I got the kettle on and went back into the balcony to see the end car park parking. As near as I could tell, it looked just like yesterdays snap did? Have I made another cock-up. Whoopsiedangleplop or error? Yes, there is a difference twixt these maladies. Haha!

Back to the kitchen, I made a brew of Glengettie tea and had four chocolate biscuits with it at the computer as I pressed on, slowly getting the blog prepared. I made the top graphic for Bill and Lisa. I hope they like it. Oh, and took this photo above of the dank morning view.

I hope it doesn’t rain and make walking difficult for Richard with his leg – mind you, it would be more difficult perambulating without it. Hehehe! I am a fool!

Good heavens! Where’s the time gone to? It’s 14:00hrs already!

Better make a start on the Local news section then…!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Animals! Back in a bit, but not happy with the first Snippet at all. Better have a perusal of the YourArea newsletter and get a few graphicalisations to use…

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I am really pissed off with myself now!

I got a rattling shake from Peripheral Pete as I was typing… the keyboard was knocked to the floor via the waste bin. I retrieved it after a while, and the shaking stopped…

Norton had taken over the Google Home page… I’d lost the favourites bar from the screen, and somehow, Gawd knows what I did in those few uncontrollable seconds, but I lost access to WordPress altogether! To make things worse, I had to go for the Porcelain Throne session again… with bleeding as well that had to be sorted – all the time worrying about the computer mess I’d made. Then I hit of all things, my chin on the grab bar rushing to get out of the wet room…To find the History folder had opened up…

When I got back to the computer, I could have cried… in fact I think I did a bit. Anger, self-recriminations, frustrations and a feeling of utter worthlessness enfolded every part of me, mental and physical!

How I avoided becoming a gibbering wreck needs looking into. Well, I didn’t avoid it altogether. Then, I struggled to work out what I had done to get into such a pickle.

It took me a good three hours to get the favourites and font listing back – all trial and error. I found the courage to try things I would usually avoid for fear of destroying something, not the foggiest what I was doing, but my managing getting those two things back was a miracle! Now, I have no Google, but I can access Firefox, and the most fantastic thing, is I now have hundreds of unwanted fonts appearing from somewhere? And they have slowed down the whole computer!

I got a green window come up, and again, I had no idea what it meant; it seemed in part code? Then after a good five minutes, it disappeared from the screen?

The greatest farce, I use the word farce, because I was panicking a lot and had no idea what it was I might have done right, but I now have WordPress back… hang on, I might not have… I’ll have to find out by closing and rebooting I think… It allowed me to save and close everything… Oh please, please, PLEASE, let it open; here goes…

I may be fretting over nothing, but it did let me reboot.

I’ve had the same opening screen saver for weeks now… a new one came up, with the genuine but different photo of me?

The VPN had to be reset or restarted. (Norton).

But I’ve calmed down tremendously now I’ve got back on WordPress. Phew! The tons of fonts are still on. They won’t let me delete them. I’ve got a… Shit my potatoes in the oven… They are relatively well done now.

The Carer will be due soon, I’ve had nowt to eat yet, and I am suddenly so hungry.

Packing in on the computer now. I’ll try to catch up in the morning, feeling a bit nervy now, better get the nosh sorted.

I took this sky view photo while getting the nosh sorted out. Unique cloud formations that look like ridges in the fabric of the sky? Could it be the exhaust from alien invaders spaceships? Hehe!

Again, not a fancy meal, but more than adequate for an old Nottinghamian with vascular dementia, a high heart rate, and losing the plot. Sea salt and butter on the potatoes, the gorgeous podded garden peas from Kenya. Brown, yellow and red mini-tomatoes (All tastier than I thought they may be). A small BBQ burger, a pot of yoghourt. Deserved Taste Rating: 8.6/10! Nothing like being precise? Har-har!

A bit of luxury, then. I put the TV on to watch a football match while eating the meal on the tray, balancing on my bulbous, adipose, abdominous, wobbly, far-too-large stomach.

I fell asleep for the last ten minutes of the game. Then started the search to recover the lost bits of the meal, primarily peas, from the areas they had managed to hide themselves in. Some, in open view (Using the torch anyway).

I hobbled to put the light on so I could see things, unknowingly crunching several peas that had rolled on the carpet en route. Two of which squelched in between my toes and were a painful devil to get at to remove.

Two or three had found their way into the dressing gown pocket. Several in the fleshy folds of the tummy rolls. Some underneath the cushions on the recliner. A few on the side chair used by the Carers… I’m not sure how they got that far or high? Mayhaps, the most surprising escapee pea was found stuck on my left hearing aid! This was not spotted until I had a wash later?

You know that sometimes, Vascular Dementia Doreen can bring forth an amusing little Whoopsiedangleplop or Accifauxpas. That does little harm, and even to me afterwards, as in this instance, can bring forth mirth and the odd self-chuckle! Although stubbing my right big toe while bending to search under the cabinet for skedaddled garden peas was a little painful.

Got the washing up done and off for a wash. (Finding the squashed garden pea on the hearing-aid? Hehehe!)

Belated Carers arrived; due to training new gal, Kiya. Cheeky little monkey, I like her. Offered treat nibbles, said my farewells, but neither gal took the waste bags to the chute for me… so I took them.

Then, I remembered to take one of the new CBD Pure Hemp capsules. I’m hoping they will help with the recent lousy nights of sleep. I’ve been waking up, anything up to twelve times a night, and occasionally more often. Almost jumping or jerking awake. Fingers crossed! But the nurse said that it will take a few days to have any effect.

The capsules are transparent, and the contents look a little like tobacco, or maybe cannabis? Either way, the capsule slipped down easily enough. They are very light, which made me think they may be difficult to swallow, but, no problem. On this first one anyway! Hopefully, in a few days, I can find some proper undisturbed nights of rest? 🙏

The Thought Storms began as soon I got seated in the £300, second-hand, decrepit, c1968, rickety, none-working recliner. But the brain was defending me, I think. The memories of the cock-ups with the computer seemed to be masked? A mystery again as to why. But for some reason, the self-recrimination and hatred were very mild and only fleeting. Only the positive side of the days’ events was mused over??? Those are the only words I can use in describing m thoughts at that time.

In the early hours of the morning, the noise that woke me was atrocious. The loudest ever humming noise I’ve heard? Where from? I’m not sure. It may have been the dreaded not understood ‘Hum’. Or the machinery on the roof of the building? Or even a combination of both. Overnight, my sudden awakenings added up to about only six or so. Please let the Hemp capsules work!

We, I can assure Sam, that he couldn’t have been looking,
When I worked in Aspley, the criminals had me weakening!
I had difficulty finding anyone honest… folks were wrangling…
Mind you, the locals were all on an excellent nattering…
But they might pick yer pocket, then give yer a battering!

My shop was broken into, the Police didn’t seem to be bothering,
Gave me a crime number and didn’t bother returning…
The chap in the flat above got a bottling…
But cheap sex was always offering,
You’d get it free if you’d got any Methamphetamine!

Fights every night outside chip shop – bloodcurdling!
The Police would always attend… but not until the morning!
Ten-year-olds raided the chemist for Dextromethorphan…
That’s Night Nurse® or cough syrup, Triaminic™, or Coricidin™,
We had shopkeepers some get-together, meeting…
That usually ended up with us all pissed-off and drinking!

Two eighty-nine year-olds!

Sickening! I pray they can catch the culprits. This has got to me, I’ll not bother doing any more odes, not in the mood. Cheers.

Cheers.
