Maori: Rāpare 7th Whiringa 2019

01:30hrs: I woke up, wishing I could recall some more of the dream I’d had. The best bits I remembered, was it all took place underground, in caves, some big some very small, and I was being chased through them. I think in amongst my many perusers chasing after me, was David Nixon and Bruce Forsyth, coffins and pianos were scattered in the more extensive caves. But it may have got mixed up with an earlier dream about me being a sort of mole trying to get up to the surface, but not being able to. Cause it was very confusing. I was confused about the dream. Hey-ho! Not very interesting but there you go.
Anyroad, I stirred into imitation life, and was soon out of the £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working recliner. The one that my Xyrophobia-suffering, crooked Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-robbing, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet six-months later!) But, his contrition makes him keep promising to return them. Well, what’s left of them and hasn’t already been deposited in his bank account.
As I started to move, I noticed how distorted positions my body was in. Contorted in a way that I could not get the arms and legs in if I was foolish enough to try. It was close to agony getting my onerously flabby body and limbs free enough for me stand up. I gave thought to what could have been in the dream, to make my get like this, but I soon gave up worrying about it, as Anne Gyna and Arthur Itis started showing their displeasure at the movement needed to rise up, four-pronged walking stick assisted from the recliner onto my feet. Then I noticed the state of my left arm. Caused possibly, by it being around my back and sat on when I first awoke?

There were no demands being made for any Porcelain Throne or wee-weeing activity! That was a worry, really. After months of flowing wee-wees, and on waking up Throne needs, today neither? I hobbled through to the kitchen and got the kettle on, moved the hand-washing onto the airers to encourage them to dry, they were still almost wet.
The new Magnesium tablets, I thought it would be best taken on two halves, they were so gigantic in size.
The new pill-cutter was brought out to be used for the first time. As you can see by the photographs on the left here, it was not exactly a resounding success. I’ll say! Hehe!
I think it might cope better with flat tablets as opposed to rounded ones, like what the Magnesium bricks are. Tsk!
By the time I’d given up, after ending with a rather masticated tablet and even more crumbled bits of medication than actual pill all over the place, I decided another pill-splitter will have to be bought. Then I had to make another brew to replace the one that had gone cold. Not a problem for me, with the gigundous thirst I currently have on me. I’ve been this way for a couple of days since the catching the cold. Come think of it, with the sore throat, mouth ulcers and the tickly-cough, that might be why I’m not eating, and dishing food for the last two days? Or not. But the lack of wee-weeing concerns, under the circumstance, I’d have more wee-wees would need to be taken, else, where is all the tea going? Cause it sure ain’t coming out of Little Inchy… well only in dribs and drabs, at least I hope it will in consummation, none has yet today!
That reminds me, I’ll have a swig of the linctus now.
03:25hrs, I was sure I heard an alarm of some sort, and had a wander around in search of the source, which made me more aware of the pesky, most nettlesome, infernal humming or droning noise that is all around the building
for the flat 24/7! Found nowt. Grrr!
I took this rather sad and poor, certainly not one of my bestest photographs, of the view out of the unwanted, light & view-blocking, thick-framed new kitchen windows, the ones with the unreachable to clean segments of glass.
I made another brew of tea (fancy that!) and used the different milk I bought yesterday, the organic one. Tasted okay.
At last, I made a start on updating the blog, must get it done ASAP if I am to get out today. Because there are many graphics that I need making and advance templates.

The sites on the web kept on crashing. I turned everything off, then back on, but didn’t take the power off, and rebooted. Moments later, they crashed again, not all together, but separately, within a minute of each other. WordHippo, Google, WordPress, and so on. I engaged ‘Panic-Defcon-1-Mode’, and felt my world had come to an end! Not angry oddly enough, just heartbreakingly sad!
Firefox asked me which tabs were in use when it went down, I told them via the message box, and hopefully rebooted, or recovering the crashed sites. But it kept repeating the process, and I had to stop and try calmly to see what I could try next.
Then the computer became unresponsive, and would not let me close or open anything, the light on the mouse was not showing. Even the Window start button would not let me close anything down safely. So, I opened the mouse, cleaned it, and put new batteries in. Somehow managing not to lose-it entirely as I did so.
Without my computer working, life is not worth living.
Got it back on, turned everything off, rebooted and reset the internet, with a prayer. But Beelzebub and the Mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court. That lie somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the universal continuum, illusion, delusion, & hallucination, decided that this would not work, and it didn’t!
Panic had now set-in! I was near the end of my tether, at my wit’s end, in a tizzy. Corybantic and almost foaming at the mouth with frustration!

Then, after rebooting yet again, I went into my Norton and did a defrag. Nothing had changed! One more close-down and reset, then back into Norton. Which this time lit up attention needed button, which I clicked on, and it went through a few jobs and reported that it had saved so much memory, and the computer is now tuned-up. With trepidation, I started the network, which worked and then the Internet again, and opened WordPress – I could have cried for joy, as things were now working once more! I might even have shed a few tears of joy, actually! Don’t laugh! Oh, go on then!
So late in the day, but I got on with the updating of the Wednesday diary. But I was so relieved! The fact that it was gone 08:00hrs by the time I got it completed didn’t matter to me, exhilaration (and amazement) at me getting things working had not expired yet. I got the post sent off at long last!
Around 08:15hrs, I was just sitting letting the previous hours of torment drift from my worry-box, and taking pride in getting through the mayhem, when I heard a sound similar the earlier one that I couldn’t account for, it was so faint. I got the hearing aids in, lest it starts again while I’m looking for the cause.
AS I was walking the corridor, I heard the Intercom buzzing. Was it the INR nurse, I pressed the accept button, and no view came up of the outer foyer area as usually does. No pins worked at all? That’s three, possibly four times this has happened up to now. If it does not come good later, I’ll nip and mention it later, to the Obergruppenfúreress Wardens.

I went to make another mug of tea. (This thirst is just not abating at all?) While waiting for the kettle to boil, I moved the handwashing around on the airers, then spotted some marks on the upper cabinet wood near the handle. So I got the Fairy cleaner, sprayed the spots of whatever it was, and trapped a finger in the handle, ridding the wood of the dirt. But it was nothing for a klutzy, blunderous, lubberly, clumsy, uncoordinated, doddering, disaster-welcoming, accident-prone, unlucky, catastrophal geriatric like me. Haha!
About 0945hrs, The Intercom buzzed again. Same thing, no picture, no buttons working. I hope it wasn’t the food delivery or the nurse if it was anyone that is. Cause the screen told me no missed calls. I decided to pop down to the Obersturmführer and Catwalk Model Warden Julie, and or Riechsführeress and Pole Dancer Warden Deana, to let them know. As I got the three-wheeler with the nibbles in it, Josie came to me and said she was having the same problem with her intercom. I said I’m going down to mention it, I’ll let you know what transpires when I get back.
When I got in the lift, a man and woman coming down from a higher floor, said they too had got trouble with their intercom and were going to complain, not mention it. A complaint is not warranted with someone who has no power over what is happening! (I just thought of that as I was typing. I should get a mention in the Times, dictionary or something for that quote) Hahaha! Makes me sound almost educated!
As I was walking to the link-passage door, a Nottingham City Homes gentleman was on his I-pod, I-pad, mobile or whatever it was he was using. And I mentioned the situation to him. He thought they were testing or updating the system. Well, it’s never worked properly since installation, and 80% of the tenants (the older ones, like wot I am) with hearing aids can’t hear the buzzer. I asked, Would it come through if someone actually called. It was presumed so! I pressed on the Winwood Foyer and called at the Warden’s Holding cell and Interrogation Office. I mentioned the intercom, the answer was low-key, matter-of-factedly answered. Not sure how long it will be off-line. I handed some nibbles around and made my way back to the intercom-less flat. (Or maybe not, no one knows if it will work if pressed by a proper caller, or how long the disruption will last or seem bothered in the slightest) Hey-ho! I’m too happy at the computer working again, to get all hot and bothered over the intercom. I called at Josie’s and told her the non-news I had gathered about the intercom. 1) They are upgrading the system. 2) They are backing up the system. 3) They are servicing the system. 4) It will take a few hours. 5) We’ve no idea how long it will take. 6) If anyone calls, it should work, but we’re not sure. She did laugh! ♥
I finally got around to doing the graphics to let me carry on with the blogging. But it’s going to be a long job, so I had a change of heart, and started on this blog instead.
Hello, it’s looking dark early out there. Ah, it’s raining again.
Crikey, its15:30-hrs already! I got the kettle on again and tried the intercom, but it is still not working? Got on the computer to try and do some graphics.
But first, I got the mushroom and turnip sliced and in the pan, with some vinegar and light Soy sauce added to the water.

Then, finally, at last, I felt I needed a wee-wee! First if the day, hurrah! I hastened to the wet room, almost full of joy at getting rid of at least some of the fluid that must still stewing-away inside my ever-more bulbous stomach! Well, I’ve never wee-wee’d less, or so painfully in my memory! A new classification needed here. It was a DAPAO: Drip-Pain-And-Pain-All-Over job! I doubt it would have filled an eggcup! Tsk! Ah, well, it’s a start of sorts. I fear that things might well prove even more painful if it ever begins to flow again. In fact, Double Tsk!
I really must start on the graphics now. But, the sudden fatigue ruined my plans. I started coughing, and the sore throat got worse, and I decided I’ll have to do the template in the morning. I hate leaving things until the last minute, but Teddy Tiredness won the day!
I went to the kitchen and got the meal started, real-spare-ribs in the oven, and the mushrooms and turnip cooking in the saucepan. Then I took some pictures of the early evening sky.

Then got the handwashing done, wrung, and hung! For some reason, the hot water was not as hot as it should have been, but sufficiently so to do the washing. So, just in case the water heater was going on the blink, I filled some saucepans with water and got them on the stove on a low light, so as to have hot water for the pot-washing later. Did you notice that? Sometimes despite the weariness, the brain gets-it-together! I wish the body could do the same! Hahaha! The pork ribs in sauce in the oven had some Sharwood’s Korean BBQ sauce was poured over it.
I noticed the sky was reddening a bit, so I took some more shots to compare with those taken fifteen minutes earlier.

Red sky at night, shepherds delight. This saying made me thing in the morning when I was updating this blog, and I had a look at some other weather proverbs;
- Red sky at night, sailors delight. Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning.
- Red sky at night, shepherds delight. Red sky in the morning, shepherds warning.
- When rain comes before the wind, halyards, sheets and braces mind, but when wind comes before rain, soon you may make sail again.
- When dew is on the grass, no rain will come to pass.
- When halo rings Moon or Sun, rain’s approaching on the run.
- When the wind is out of the East, tis never good for man nor beast.
- Cows lie down when it’s about to rain.
- Pine cones open when good weather is on the way.
- If the goose honks high, fair weather – If the goose honks low, foul weather.
- When clouds appear like rocks and towers, the Earth’s refreshed, with frequent showers.
The majority of the proverbs regarding the weather, seem to have grown into rhymes.
I got diverted there, sorry.
After yesterdays disastrous vegetarian ‘Ribz’ nosh was thrown away, I felt some doubt when I served up tonight’s proper spare rib in sauce meal. It did not look well presented, I’d put far too much sauce on the ribs, the garden peas and turnip was slightly overcooked, the mushrooms undercooked, and the tomatoes, being out-of-season were a little bitter tasting, but this was expected. Before we joined the Common Market as it was known then, I always looked forward to the arrival of new seasons Guernsey and Jersey tomatoes with great relish. We don’t even see them on the market nowadays! Boo!
In the final analysis, although and despite it looking a mess, I gave it a Flavour-Rating of 7/10. The only down-side apart from the poorly cooked vegetables was the absolute sticky-mess I made of my fingers, chest, belly and mouth, eating the ribs. But I licked the fingers dry, leaving an adhesive coating on them and my tongue, before going to wash the pots and me. Hehe!
I completed the pot washing, and moved, jiggled the drying clothes about a bit. Then took a much needed, but pathetic attempt at a wee-wee. A URPD (Ultra-Resistant-Painful-Dripping) mode. (Why I bothered, I’d get rid of more liquid when shaking Inchy after the event usually! Humph!) But things ain’t usual at the moment. I must get to see the doctor about this before the retained fluid causes my bladder to blow-up!
Despite, or perhaps because of, the day’s anxieties, problems, trials and tribulations, I found it almost impossible to get off to sleep. I was mentally worn-out, wearied and tired enough surely? The ups & downs, and my mind’s thought-blasts kept the brain far too occupied. I don’t know when it was I eventually nodded off but can remember the news coming on the TV, at 23:00hrs! My usual head-down time is around 16:00 > 17:00hrs. So, I’d been up for twenty-three hours of frustrating hassle.
And, the intercom is still not working. Not that this will bother anyone other than the affected uninformed of the situation Nottingham City Homes tenants!
Evenin’ all!

I made a brew of strong flavoured Thompsons tea and took the morning medications.
I had a viewing of the book on 1950’s cars loved in England. I had the urge to go somewhere other than the Asda-Walmart to do my shopping after they had let me down with the delivery, so I dropped off in Daybrook and went straight into the Sainsburys store. Which proved to be an expensive choice. Tsk!
I came out of the store, feeling an even bigger shmo than earlier, and panicked a smidge, convinced I would now miss the bus. Fortunately, the L9 was a couple of minutes late, and I made it with about 30 seconds to spare. So, the day was mixed with some good and bad luck! A couple of Winwoodonian’s who got on the same bus pointed out how lucky I was!
I got the receipt out and read through it on the way home. Surimi Royal fish, Graham’s whole organic milk, a can of gammon, a turnip, black beans, cough linctus (I can keep one in the shopping bag for when I’m out, the other in the kitchen. [Smug-Mode-Adopted]) baby beetroot, packets of mild chilli sauce, passata, roast cashew nuts, the DVD ‘We Die, Young’, a cheese baton, Dried onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and a pot of Magnesium tablets (Cramp-easers!) Unnervingly, I realised I had bought both a vegetarian and a proper meat packets of Pork Ribs in sauce. I do remember looking at them both but felt sure I got only the meat one… Obviously, I was wrong. Another bêtise on my behalf, Grumph! I’ll have this for tonight’s nosh, and get it out of the way. Otherwise, I’ll never eat it, served me right!
Back at the flats, I made my way through the link-passage into the big room. Where I stopped for a natter with a couple of folks. The fruit and veg man had not yet set-up his stall, so I thought I can always pop down again later. Which of course didn’t happen, I forgot all about it!)
I got the meal served-up on the serving tray, I used the oven dish instead of a plate, to save time washing up Hehe! It appeared to be tasty enough to me, with the tom’s and mushrooms, an apple the cheesy baton, and a can of Pepsi, I got settled into the recliner to feast! Full of contentment and anticipation.
What words can I use? What can I say? Just when I anticipated a royal feast and thought my allotriophagy had found success. The flavour and context, of the imitation pork, was disgusting! Deglutition was hard, especially with the sore throat. Most of this abhorrent meal was binned, and rightfully so! Oy-yoy-yoy, the disgustingest and indigestible, chronically bad-tasting vegetarian dish I’ve ever had! Eurgh! All sugary and sweet! My Taste-Rating of 1/10 is the best I can manage, I might as well of just ate a bag of sugar!

I made a good-strong brew of the Thompson tea and took the medications.
The Porcelain Throne was needed, and I got to the wet room in plenty of time for once. Not so messy this time at all, but lots of it again, and a bit of bleeding afterwards. However, Little Inchy was not leaking or bleeding, that was good! I changed PP’s and had a close look at the plates-of-meat, after their treatment yesterday. Now I have got to remember to go back in two weeks, to book the next appointment. I’ll put it in the Google Calendar now… All done! I’ll make a Morrison order methinks for next week, while I think of it, and I have time to now, with getting up so ridiculously early again. My EQ tells me to expect tsuris today. So maybe it would be best not to go to the Physio session? Anyway, I’ll get the order made up. All done!

I got myself ready for the walk in the rain and dark to catch the bus
I took a snap of the giant electronic advertising board as I crossed the road after getting off of the bus. This turned out to be another of the extremely dark for some reason pictures? It baffled me, why? I walked the length of the mall to the other end, and into Tesco. No rush, I had plenty of time, so I went on a bargain or treat hunt! Which took some time. I came put with: Treats for Christmas (I just hope the bomb works for Brother-in-Law Pete!) Hahahaha, only joking, honest! Milk Roll bread, pack of puff-pastry fingers, and some biscuits for the gang at the After-Stroke Physio Torture, I mean session.
Off to the church hall, and found there were eight stroke-survivors there already, and the nurse and Obergruppenfurheress team leader. I handed the nibbles on the counter in the kitchen area.

I made my way to Queen Street and decided to catch the 40 bus. It was only a few minutes before the L9 was due, but this bus gets close to the flats in about ten-minutes quicker than the L9 does. Mind you, I then have to tackle crossing the road on the steep hill and sharp bend, but still, I enjoyed getting soaked again, waiting for a gap in the traffic! Oh, dearie me!
I got down Chestnut Walk eventually, the. And took this picture of Winwood Heights in the rain.
As I limped on towards home. I had to get off of the pavement, to avoid getting some of the thousands of leaves on the wheels of the trolley guide. Then having to spend ages in the rain cleaning it up to get it free of detritus enough to go inside the flats.
I got to in through the Winwood Court lobby and walked along the link-passage into Woodthorpe Court. By gum, it was cold in the Woodthorpe Court lift lobby! Where the lads were working still, on the Fire Sprinkler installation, as you can see in the picture here.
Up in the lift, and into the flat. The thirst was still at its height, and I got the kettle on to have a mug of Thompson tea and took the evening medications.
I had a look-out from the crumbling balcony, to see if any fireworks were going off to photograph yet, but there were none in sight.
The intercom would not let me view the entrance door at all! But it did show No missed calls and Do Not Disturb option not chosen. So, had the Asda delivery arrived, I think I should have heard or seen the light come on?

Pee’d off with things now! I got the sarnies put did the chips and piled other stuff on the plate. Until I saw this photo, I wasn’t sure what I had attempted to eat.
g four hours later, finding that I had tipped the whole meal into the waste bin, all the fodder, fork and spoon included! I was struggling to breathe, the sore throat and cough started off…

23:00hrs: Already awake, after cleaning up the mess from my leaving the potatoes boiling while I fell to sleep! I did the handwashing and then got on the computer to update yesterday’s diary.
took the morning’s medications, with just a Simvastatin and the Warfarin tablets from those missed off.

Got myself dressed and freshened up. Took the black bags to the waste chute. Then went down in the lift to talk to and see the Wardens, but none were in the room. So I dropped the PPs in through the new kitchen in the Winwood room. Popped into the big social area, and dropped the PPs off in the kitchen window. Noticed some stuff for sale?
ide through the Al Fresco area door. It was awfully wet out there. Haha! Got back to the flat, and Josie brought the tray and plate back from yesterdays nosh. I am mostest pleased to report that after interrogation, she revealed that she enjoyed the smoked haddock and cheesy-potatoes. So, I’ll do some more next week.

Over the road and to the Wilko store. Where I stocked up with, Dettol Disinfectant spray, Ylang laundry freshener, bleach and some yoghourt peanuts.
, and right down Elmswood Gardens and into the Sherwood Health Centre.
The welcoming smile of the young female receptionist, who remembered my name, and what I was going to the centre for! Bless her, this cheered me up!
AS I got to the bus shelter in Sherwood, things got a little dark, and I anticipated some heavy rain is due. But it held off.
Back at the flats, I waited until last and dismounted the bus. Made my way in the Windwood Court entrance, and down the link-passage. As I ambled with the three-wheeler along the corridor, I could see how the sunshine has come out again at the far-end windows.1111
I put the roast vegetable risotto ready nosh in the oven as soon at it reached temp.
I got the meal prepared. It didn’t look appealing, just like the earlier ones didn’t, but my gum, it tasted delicious! I masticated, savoured and slurped away at it for ages, enjoying every mouthful!

Settled in the Xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet six-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner. I got the headphones on, and the TV going… ZZZ!

I had to go to the Porcelain Throne.
Feeling a tad betterer, I got the potatoes in the saucepan salted and vinegared and got the last of the pod peas, the last of the season perhaps podded, and in the crock-pot with a little demerara sugar and balsamic vinegar flavouring.
While searching the web for the fresh-pod pea season months, I came across this recipe for pod peas. Interesting, but maybe not for me, methinks. Sister Jane might fancy it, though? Her early years living in Sicily, seem to have left her with a desire and craving for anything pasta, oily and rice. Her mushroom Risotto is really special, scrumptious! She made one for me in 1969, I can still taste it! Hehe!
The fodder was fine, all bar the podded peas. They had been in the crock-pot for over eight hours, and were not cooked anywhere near enough! Grumble-Moan! I suppose it is because they are at their seasons-end? The tomato sarnies in the Milk Roll bread were fine, as were the chips, beetroot and mini-pork-pie. The apple was a disappointment, soft, almost crumbly. I’m considering writing a letter of complaint to the Chilean Agricultural Department. Hehe! Most unpleasant! So, the best overall flavour-rating I can give is 4/10 overall. And the sarnies, chips and beetroot saved the day score-wise. What am I waffling on about, here? Tsk!

The legs were looking a bit betterer. The odd mark on the right leg above the Arthur Itis-ridden right knee was fading like I predicted it would. At least I know know what is causing them to appear (I think). According to the results, from Stroke Doctor Senthil K Ragunathan, it is Clopidogrel, whatever that is. I’ll look it up. Here is what Google tell us:
I made a start on this posting.
Cressed and took the black bags to the waste chute, then down and along the passageway through Winwood Court and to their lobby.
The fresh pod peas had now finished, and the season ended! Sob! I got some potatoes for Joycie’s and my nosh on Sunday. Then I went to Asda (Walmart).
I came out with mushrooms, tomatoes, crisps and canned meat and fish extra, and handed them to the Food Bank people. The trolley bag was overfull and the carrier ladened with fodder for myself.
The door out to the benches in the new passageway to Woodthorpe Court was still not working.
I did spot a Birthday card in the hallway that came on Wednesday, shoved through the door, that I had put on the radiator on my way out, and had forgotten all about, as I entered. It was from Part-time Cat-Walk fashion Model, and
I rang Sister Jane and Pete, as I had not had a reply to my email asking if they were alright. But they were fine, I’ glad to say, the EQ was wrong!
Got the handwashing done, and took a photo of what at the time I believed was the morning sky! This was when it dawned on me, and I checked the second-hand bargain £2 charity shop bought wristwatch, (With the £10 replacement strap, and £10.95 battery) for the time. 07:30hrs. I put on the computer to find out it was 19:30 hours!

I finally got the blog finished! Hurrah! I made a brew and took a photograph of below the light and view-blocking new kitchen window. Blind, because of the ridiculously wide ledge, prevent one from seeing anything. Tsk!
I came across a cheaper and smaller Ankle Support on Amazon. I added it to the order. I just hope it works something like as well as the larger one I’m using now.
I put some stuff on the Facebook photo galleries. Including this picture, I found on the web, of four of the old favourites from long ago. I suppose many years ago I tried them all, when I was addicted to nicotine, I recall the Guards brand, and tried them often. A little dry tasting, but made a change.
I got back in the apartment and got my nosh served up. A cold nosh tonight. Tomato and turkey sarnies, on the Continental sourdough bread that Jenny had donated to me. Thanks again, Jenny! ♥ Garden peas and mushrooms, the last of the spring onion, BBQ turkey thingamabobs on sticks, sliced beetroot, crispt cheese sticks, and an orange drink from the fridge to follow. Tired as I was feeling, I ate it all up, and thought it was worth a taste-rating of 8.2/10!

I hobbled to the kitchen and checked out the hand-washed clothes that were hanging to dry. But the thermal long-sleeved shirt, bamboo socks and the oven-mitt were all still so wet!
I made another mug of tea and got some fresh garden peas podded, and into the saucepan to marinate with a spoonful of demerara sugar for cooking later. Then got one of the baking spuds in the slow-cooker.
There was not a lot of cheesy potatoes, but what I salvaged, actually tasty spot-on! I added the garden peas, and mushrooms from the saucepan added that to the things soaking in the sink and settled in the £300, second-hand, rickety, still-not-working, c1968 recliner. It tasted so lip-smackingly good! A flavour rating of 8/10 given. It went down quicker than I planned. But I could not stop worrying in case the mess in the wet room or kitchen had not been safely sorted.
I checked around again, and then got down in the rickety recliner, out the TV on, and noticed the legs were getting blotches still. But the leg ulcer had almost disappeared.

us.
I got the handwashing on the dryer, and some hung up, for drying.

Nosh next job. Potato boiled, drained, Leicester red cheesypotatoes, mashed in the skins and baked, beetroot, tomatoes fresh garden peas, and turkey slice mul loaf sarnies. To follow, cakes, and a limoncello.
Washed the pots, and got down to watch some TV. Too much really, I just couldn’t nod off for ages.

03:15hrs: I woke to a coll nippiness in the flat. I rose from the £300, second-hand, c1968, grottily beige-coloured, rickety recliner. Caught my balance and checked the balcony doors, thinking they may have been left open, but they were closed. Where to coldness from coming from was a mystery. I went to check that the front door had been shut, and found an invitation to the opening of Winwood Court, from Nottingham City Homes.
As I was taking the tablets into the computer/junk room (Hehe!), the flipping arm did one of its rare involuntary ‘Hitler Salutes’!!! The tablet flew off in all directions.
A bit of good-luck followed! Oh, yes!
Not a lot of food this week. But I did get two saucepans delivered. One a plain 16mm one at £9, and an anodised one with pourer sides at £17, reduced from £21. I’ll see how these go later. It made the total expenditure £50.49, oh dearie me!

Then I had a bit of luck again!
I then took two photographicalisations from the much-disliked new balcony widow.
I put the nibble bag in the trolley as well, in case I met any friendly bubala folk on the way out.
I popped in and had a word with Obersturmfhreress and Catwalk Model Warden Deana. Then hobble out and to the bus stop to join a gang of tenants queuing there. A few natters, laughs and moans were shared. The Arnold bound L9 arrived, and I climbed aboard behind the others. Of course, with the trolley, I had no choice other than to sit on a side-saddle seat, they really are uncomfortable, and demand physical dexterity, to avoid being shaken out of them! Huh! Penny stayed on the bus and got off in Arnold as I did.
The crossword puzzling did not go well. Due to my having a brain-dead spell and the Schumaker driver’s handling of the bus.
