My mental deficiencies, although bothersome at times, generally took a back seat to actual confusion amidst the physical shortcomings throughout today.
Care Kara rang the Doctor for me about the red patches beneath both armpits. I’ll mention the follow-up farcicalness now, so I don’t forget later. Kara took a photo of my red pits and then rang the Doctor for me. Bless her; she was in a rush as well. Thanks, gal. The Doctor said she’d call me back later after it had been assessed which medication may help.
An hour or so later, the surgery lady called me back, asking if I could email them a photo. I said Carer Kara had taken one earlier, and I’d try to get through to them to ask.
I called the carer’s office and got a voice message that I was not sure about. I gave up and called the ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress Warden and Primo Ballerina, Deana, who came up to clarify. It seems I was stuttering as I spoke, although I didn’t realise it then.
Deana arrived and saved the day after she rang the surgery and clarified things. Then she sent a photograph she took off to the surgery. They would ring me back again.
An hour or so later, they rang me. The Doctor sent a prescription for the same cream they used last year when the red pits showed up. The prescriptions could be collected from the chemist in the morning. Tell your caregivers. I mentioned it to Carer Chris later, but how or when they will manage to fetch the prescriptions is unknown.
Then, ankle electric shocks increased in frequency.
The Glaucoma affected eyes got worse as the day went on.
The Iceland delivery arrived. I stubbed my toe and walked into the door frame five minutes later.
And Cartilage Chloe gave way a few times, but without causing me to have any tumbles.
I did not even start this blog, although I did make some graphics ready. I was weary & tired earlier than ever.
I have no snippets; I just didn’t have time to.
I fell asleep in the c1968, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, virus, microorganism, bug, bacterium, bacillus, germ, parasite producing, and disease-fermenting second-hand, eyesorely-horrendously grungy beige-coloured, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, moth-eaten, non-working, itch-encouraging, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, catheter tube yanking, recliner.
Carer Chris made a late call. He took the diabetic socks off my feet and attached the nocturnal night catheter bag. Christopher took nibbles and a drinkie at my insistence, and off he went. When I mentioned the prescription to him, he said he thought Carer Richard may be returning to work. That’s good news; I thought the lad would be off work longer.
So, here is a minimum detail set of photos today. I fank you!

Morning Medicals…
Catheter day pouch and leg bag

Ankle Ulcer with electric shocks. Hehe!
Messier than messy! This photo was taken of the Germolened pit by ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress Warden and Primo Ballerina, Deana.

Carers & nursed nibbles mostly.

The second half of the day is a mystery to me. I took a turn and stopped doing everything. I got down in the second-hand, c1966, £300 charity shop-bought, wincingly grotty, beige-coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, and just stayed there.
The symptoms were a new occurrence for me. I was not dizzy exactly, but oh so vague. My thoughts didn’t seem to be my own. Apart from getting up to empty the tank a few times, I sat there for about eight hours or more, seemingly uninterested in getting up. I was so drained, but Sweet Morpheus was not attainable at all. I stayed there for two Carer visits. No meal, and no interest in eating. I left the TV on all the time, with the sound off. The odd dropping-offs were short… and at about 01:00hrs, as I got up to empty the pouch again, my balance was all over the place. I had a sense that I may not have checked the taps and cooker, so went to the kitchen, all fine, then the wet room… Things were fine there, too; as I turned to leave, a short had me walking into the doorframe yet again. Thus, setting off into action.
This Accifauxpas seemed good to me. I became a little more compos-mentis of things, but that brought on the realisation that I had not even started on the blog yet. Tomorrow, the Diabetes Phone Call and Assessment are due in the morning. Will I ever get this blog done?
Back came the fretting and worrying about just about anything that had been absent during the seizure, and I almost welcomed the concerns and worries back home like a lost puppy! Hehe! A short time later, I took a photo of the morning view and got the ablutions tended to. A shave, sh…, teggies, and shower.
I’ll have to rush this one. Sorry for missing stuff and for mistakes that are bound to slip through. It’s been a busy day all the same, so there’s a lot to recall when I upload the pictures. I’m hoping they will prompt Memory Michael., but… Hehe! Some scribble is still readable on the notepad for the earlier part of the day.

06:10hrs: I sprang back to life, full of vim and vigour, bounded out of the recliner and did twenty press-ups, 40 Toe-Touches and 5 minutes shadow boxing…
.
Back to the truth…
06:10:hrs: As I moved, I could feel Little Inchy’s Fungal Lesion bleeding. I noticed that the urine in the pouch was very dark…

I emptied the wee into the jug I use for the day bag, and it looked far too red for my liking. The District Nurses have not visited me for a couple of months now, and I will do my best to remember to ring them later and tell them about the catheter not being removed for so long. Oh, and the electric-like pains in the ankle. Although I’m certain, this is caused by saying I’m sure of something maybe stretching the actuality of things.

Another foggy morning.

,

Foggier now.

Asda order arrived

Five items are out of stock.

I still have some of my favourites.
.
These burgers are so nice tasting.

The best-tasting baguettes I’ve ever had!
Back on the computer.

Carer Shaquille arrived. Did his things, and we had a laugh along the way.

Carer Kara arrived later on. She sorted out some emails for me and showed me how to reject further emails from whoever. It was so easy as well, but with my eyesight, I missed the option at the bottom of the emails in question; it was in light green and or pink.
Be lost without her. ♥

The doctor’s surgery rang on the landline, with the NHS Anticoagulation, Deep Vein Thrombosis, and Warfarin test results and dosages.

The Seizure Struck. Well dark when I came out of it.

Beautiful late afternoon clouds.
With a brown hue, very pretty!

The brown was turning to blue an hour later.
Wonderful variations!

.
Took these over five minutes, capturing the sun on its way down over the horizon. And turning red.
It made me think of Putin!

Put the TV on.

Does this take you back?
Heartbeat is my favourite TV programme.

I did find it, but it took me 12 minutes. Tsk!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Carer Richard informed me that the latest straps for are to be removed late at night and replaced in the mornings by the Carers; he then took them off for me. The compression socks underneath the straps are to be washed every two days. And , pads or whatever they will be, should arrive shortly, likely on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. There is no news from the Audio Centre about either of the appointments they are making for me to get the ear wax vacuumed out, and ears retested so they can calibrate both hearing aids for me on a third visit.
A phone call (On a Sunday? Oh, no, it’s Monday, innit!) from the QMC Hospital DVT Haematology Anticoagulation Clinic. They said I had missed my appointment… not that I can remember making one? In two weeks, you need to book in with your Doctor for an INR Blood Test. The Doctor has not taken a blood test for me in the last 6 months or longer? A carer said I am nearly out of day bags for my . Someone came up and had a search for some, but no luck. I am somewhat confused now. My In & Out of it spells today were numerous and worried me a smidgeon.
Another short blog, detail-wise. Sorry!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Although it was a good start to the day, albeit later than usual. Excellent coloured urine in the night bag to greet me. Much better!

The two great-unwashed feet. I’ve got a leg strap under the Carer’s table ready to go on the right leg tomorrow if the wounds have healed sufficiently. The Nurse will be coming, hopefully, tomorrow.
I made a mess of the first-morning view photograph taking.
A sad effort. From a tragic, aged, hand & limb-shaking Nottingham lad. Then I took this one of the kitchenette windows with the ledge reminiscent of Steptoe & Son’s from the 1970s television comedy. The white bit on the window is not the moon; it is a reflection of my .
arrived. He looked tired out, bless him.
He got the medications done and then got the black straps back on the left leg for me. We managed a little natter and a mutual moaning session. Hehe!
Afterwards, I actually got the slippers on both feet! This is a Testament to the excellent job done by the convoluted leg strap assembling. Comfortably too! Thanks, Richard!
I got the Carers & Nurses Treat Shelve topped up.
Looks good now. I like to offer a nibble and or drinkie for them in thanks.
I put the waste into one bag and put it near the front door in the hallway… which was a good idea cause I don’t have a back door. Hahaha!

I snapped this view of the late afternoon sky. Bootiful!
I wonder if the streaks were contrails -from planes? Or maybe it was from the much-anticipated and awaited aliens investigating life on Earth?
Back on the computer.
Arrived.
During this, it came to light that the instructions on the packaging of some creams were written and read: To Be Used Cutaneous Only! So I looked this up on Mr Google. “Cutaneously” means of, or relating to on the skin” As opposed to under the skin. So, now we know!
I’m miles behind with the blogging again. But I saw and had to photograph this evening shot from the kitchen window. Some eerie patterning from hours ago still showed high in the sky.
I got a simple meal prepared, some a simple man, me.
Bacon bits were done in the oven, and two cheesy topped cobs were put in. Putting the last two mini croissants to eat after the bacon cobs. With frequent drippings into the lemon curd at hand. Tasty, too! It deserved this worthy Taste Rating of 8.2/10!

Up at 03:30hrs: Nocturnal Pouch is a smidge dark but has been much worse. But also betterer!

The feet and ankles looked calmer this morning.

Early morning shot of the kitchen’s window blue-view

Porcelain Throne visited.

Computer on…

Carer Richard arrived. Alarm tested. Eye drops and meds were issued. The lad was at the end of his shift; he looked so tired out. I forgot to ask him about his Diabetes visit last week. If he calls tomorrow I’ll ask him.

Got the waste bags sorted out.
Kitchen shot, when looking for some Paracetamol in the medical drawer. There were none in there again. I’ve added the limit allowed, one packet to my Asda order and amended it online. Humph! That means I’ll run out again.

A phone call from the District Nurses HQ.
They will be coming on Monday 18th Sept, to remove the . To give me a chance to pass urine on my own. If it works, I will be Catheter-FREE!
If not, which I and my EQ, and medical history expect will be the case; A permanent catheter will be fitted for me, in the Nottingham City Hospital Urology Campus. My last experiences with the bladder problem in that place left a sour taste in my mouth, I’m afraid. While having the catheter in and out again repeatedly after each failed attempt to correct the problem, or even to identify it, I was in a bed without any curtains, next to a chap having similar tests. And having an I  could have done without the obvious comparing from people walking by!
He, being hung like an elephant and me with Little Inchie, my embarrassment was colossal. You remember things like that! Still, you never know; my luck has to change sometime, I thought – almost hearing laughter from Alto-Ego & EQ!

Carer Victor arrived. Did his medicationings and eye drops, and I took his Blood Pressure. This is how the Carers BP returns look now;

Afternoon view.

My ankles & feet, definitely improving!
Although toe-ends were still white.

Delivery of Catheter Day bags.

The INR Letter with yet another change in Warfarin dosages.
The doctor’s surgery rang with the details. took the phone and amended the paperwork on the Meridian folder front for me. A much better INR figure of 2.8 now.
There will be no visit from my beloved nurse Hristina until Monday the 15th of September. Sob!

Time to get something to eat methinks. So I did!

A cheese & onion pastie, covered with a jar of bean and soy stew. I added some Worcester Sauce and sea salt. Many slices of Milk Roll bread dipped in it while eating. Excellent flavouring! Taste-Rating 9.4/10 Grrreat!

Turned the computer off, and served up the nosh. Settling into the 1966, £300 charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner to feast!

Did the last call, just as was drifting off into sleep. He did the eye drops and attached the night bag to .

I attempted to get to sleep again, unsuccessfully.
I got up, and into the balcony to have a look around, then to the kitchenette to take this photo.
Nocturnal puffer clouds around the sun as it dipped. beyond the horizon, so quickly it seemed to me. Lovely view!

Back to the £300, second-hand shop bought nine years ago, c1966, discomfiting, crap beige-coloured, crumb-containing, TV remote hiding, not working recliner.
But no interest was shown in letting me sleep from Sweet Morpheus. I can’t blame , ’cause he left me alone, not a single thought storm!.
I reckon I managed to get around 3.5hrs, all the same.
Which was a lot better than of late.

Hehehe!

My Frustration & Hatred Is Growing!

Excellent 3 for the urine night pouch colouring!

Feet after the little wander around in town yesterday.

Laundry bag return awaited.

I’m not sure why…
I took two photos of the waste bags?

A blurry early morning shot of the car park.

Then two other bad shots of the view ahead.

Got up around 03:30hrs, and the use of the did not arrive until gone 07:00hrs. dominated. Took some cleaning up!
.

Looks like a ghostly seat! I hung the towel over the shower chair and turned on the heater to dry it off. Cunning!
I remembered doing this an hour or two later, and I went to turn off the wet room emersion heater.

The Meridian Domestic lady did not arrive. Hope she was on holiday and not poorly. So I hoovered the hallway. Unfortunately, I my toe on the trolley walker wheel, right against the . This may have had other lesser men cringing and wingeing, but not me. I just laughed it off!

Made an early fine feast of sliced baked potatoes, soy imitation sausages, beetroot & tomatoes, red & yellows. Naturally, no sooner had sat down to watch the TV with the meal tray on my knees, and my taste buds tingling!
14:35hrs: The opticians rang. Can I bring some old spectacle frames in to use in the varifocal spectacles? The one the Carer took for me is too old to get a lens made to fit it?
Back to the meal…
14:48: The Doctor rang to say the Blepha decision will be emailed to me later. Humph!
Back to the meal…
15:00hrs: DVT Anticoagulation rang; the DV vein draining has been cancelled. They will make me another appointment.
Back to the meal…
The potatoes were barely lukewarm by then. How does this happen to me so often? Whatever time I get around to eating, someone will call, or the phone will burst into life.
Still, the nosh deserved an 8.4/10 rating!

Took this slightly better shot of the Chestnut Way car park in front of the flats when I washed the pots up.

I decided to watch some TV again. Huh! Turned it on again, and some sad adverts greeted me.
Kids have to live using underground water.
I noticed my new glasses on top of the cabinet and realised how lucky I am really, compared to some. Then…

The TV went off. A message something about; check your external and internal ariels? It came back on later again.

Oh, getting dark?
Five minutes later…
Another five minutes.

Did the eye treatment. used, then when it had dried, the Gel.

After 18:00hr Carer Benjamin called, and we found we were missing some tablets. I was in a pickle about it, cause it was Atorvastatin, and I had a weirdly strange feeling that Richard mentioned something on Monday to me about it coming later when he kindly fetched the prescriptions for me… but of course with , I’m just not sure. So, none tonight. Benjamin said he would have a look around down in the office for me in case they were in there. Thanked him, and he said he was doing the late call; if the tablets are in the Meridian office, he’d bring them up with him.

I got back on the computer, to find that...

Late Carer Carer arrived. He brought up the missing tablets and issued them with the Peptac; no painkillers were needed. Then attached the night pouch to He also responded to my request for him to hang up the laundry, which was only dressing gowns; bless him.

Turned off this computer, and I got settled in the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966, moth-eaten, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, bedraggled, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden itch-inspiring, not working recliner in search of sleep. I put the TV on, cause that usually helps me to nod off, when the commercial adverts come on… but only when there is something on I wanted to watch. Hehe!

The optimum words for describing today’s events:
Shambolic-Failures, Messy, Ignominious & Frustrating!
I can’t think of anything that went as planned?
The trip to town to get some Blepharitis Eye Gel, pads and Eye Spray, was futile! I got the timing of the bus wrong and waited for 36 minutes at the bus stop going. The Nottingham Citizenry in town, were as depressed as I’ve ever seen them. The pavement scooterers and cyclers seemed intent on making me as nervous as possible with the near misses from having my over. Boots, Wilko and even the Poundland shop visited in search of equivalent products failed! No anti-diarrhoea capsules, no Worcester Sauce nibbles, no affordable Germolene or Germoloid. Wilko must be closing down, the y didn’t have any kitchen towels in stock at all! The previously £3.25 Germolene at Boots, was now £6.29 for a 22g tube! It wore me out in B’s, trying see someone to help me with the confusing array of different products for the eyes – I gave up in the end!
On the bright side, I didn’t trip or fall getting onto or off the buses today. Coming home was a close call, mind.
No blogging as such done, so had to get up in the morning at 03:30hrs to get this updated.
Just time to whip in the photos with a few remembered details.
Utter Failure!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

A good start though…
Excellent coloured urine in the night pouch.

Into the kitchenette…
Tried to take a better morning view.

Took this shot of the flea-pit as I gathered the things needed for the trip later into Nottingham.

As Carer Kara say’s the new reading glasses will take some getting used to. She was right!

Had a few hours on the Wednesday blog updating. Eventually getting it finished and posted… but it was hard work with the new glasses and of course…
Gave up and continued with the
Just three . A semi-tumble in the shower, leading a hal-hearted head butting of the left grab bar.

Kara who called earlier did the midday visit, and I turned off the computer. I got the body medicationings done, and I consciously used less olive oil in the ears, Germoloid on the bum, and Germolene on the lesion and papules. My EQ told me I was not going to get any on the trip out. He was right, too!

SET OUT TO BUS STOP TO NOTTINGHAM
I met a resident and chatted with her on the forecourt. She pointed out that Carer Kara was giving me a wave from a high window in Winwood Court. ♥
Got to the bus stop and realised I had a time top wait.
The traffic island was in a bad state.
Looked like someone had pulled up some plants. Tyre marks on the once frass soil. Debris and waste dropped or blown on it.

When I got into the city centre, this is the first photo I took – and unfortunately the last. Despite my thinking I had taken several more, about ten I think of different area, for some reason, and I can’t figure out why, none of them were on SD card in the morning? The when I got back to the flat ones and later were though. A mystery as to what I’d done wrong?
I’ve mentioned the farcical shopping efforts, so will start with my return journey. The thought of my failing to so many things I wanted to, and not being sure if I had bought the right ones of those I did find in Boots, is embarrassing!

After my stubble from the bus (I didn’t go down!)
I made my way slowly to Woodthorpe Court.

Part of Winwood Court.
Paved walking area between courts.
Got inside and made my way up to the flat.
Feeling a little disheartened at the state of the shops, and thought to myself, “Well that was a waste of time!”

Got in the flat, having seen not a single person on my way.
More beautiful puffer clouds on the horizon again.
Something peaceful, relaxing about these?

Got the shoes off, they seem to have gelled to the feet. Hehe!
The pouch had soon filled up again after I emptied it when I got inside the apartment. Come think of it though, I had started guzzling the soda water again, the get the bladder going, as instructed by the medicos.

Aha, at the last of the day(2nd) mug of Glengettie tea!

I got the receipts out of the bag. Boy had I spent a fortune with all the massive price increases at Boots
This little lot for the eyes cost me £64!
I’m not sure that I bought the right Blepha either. This one had SOL on it, the other I’m using from the optician, has GEL?

The meal tasted Grrreat!
Flavour-Rating 9/10!

Much needed after what was for me, a hectic, getting upright and annoyed with things day! I think I must have looked a little mentally and physically battered, cause the care didn’t stay as long as usual… not that I can recall much of the visits.

I nodded off without any problems. Must have slept peacefully for about five hours of bliss… then… started, and knowing that this blog would need updating, I made an early start – and has only been down once up to now!
So I’m glad that I started early (03:30hrs )while the internet was behaving itself for once.
It still took me a lot of mistakes and self-confusion until nearly 12:00hrs to get it done though. Hey-Ho!

I’ll ask the morning caller if they might call the Doctors for me, to ask if I can get some Blepharitis gel for the eyes, And Rear-end medications for .

TODAY’S PREDOMINANT PESTERISATIONINGS
This Saturday has been dominated by losses of balance, the left leg giving way – for the few seconds it lasts, it’s as if the leg isn’t there. The
routines have been numerous.
They were pretty lengthy ones as well, nearly had me other twice! To blame, of course. Even more troubling, I’ve been struggling to get words out correctly. The Carers noticed this first. After that, I became aware of it. The brain has been playing tricks… but nothing new, just more persistently.
Memory has been terrible; I was talking to Carer Benjamin, forgetting what I was saying, and throwing in some double-di-gook words. I’m unsure if he thought I was messing about, but he laughed out loud & long. I grabbed the Kodak and took this shot. Hehehe!

My putting the Bleptha Eye Gel in both eyes, was again a struggle for me to get right. At least the Dry Eye Spray one is easy enough to do. Concentration has escaped me again. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve opened a drawer, gone into the kitchen, opened a cupboard… and forgot why I was doing it in the first place.
Other possible handicaps… The urine is not flowing as well as usual. And, I’ve not visited the all day (18:55hrs)
On the bright side, though… erm… there must be a bright side… I’ll make one up, shall I? Oh, no… there was one! England Ladies Won their Match against the Mafia-Drug-Growers, Columbia! Only just mind.
I’m afraid Stuttering Stephanie has spread to my handwriting on the prompt notepad. The worst writing ever, almost illegible!
Ah, well, the photos may prompt me.

Better colour today.

Poddled onto the balcony
Decent looking morning.

Went automatically to the

Started on yesterday’s blog finalisationing.

Carer arrived. Meds and a mini-natter were completed. I was, stuttering and struggling to get words out, and my balance was terrible getting about. Had a few close calls but no falls.

Back to blogging.
Made a brew of Thompson Punjana.

The third-bash at blogging, and I was already on…

I watched the Ladies World Cup match, Australia v France.
Australia won – GRRREAT!
So was France losing! Hehehe!

Back to blogging again. Concentration shot to pieces with the joy of France losing, I reckon!

Ah, the urine is now flowingeth! Into the wet room to empty out the . Still a good colour!

I went into the kitchen to wash to tea mug. Had it started raining!
Took this shot through the glass.
And this one…
Opened the window for this one.

Into the balcony for this one.
By the time I took this one of the end car park,
the rain had stopped altogether.

Got the Saturday blog finished and settled to watch the England 2 v Columbia 1 result match. Another close one, with Columbia scoring first.Very satisfying result

The third Carer of the day called Joanne. Had a laugh and joke. She also noted I was saying either the wrong words or talking rubbish. Worryingly!

Started this blog for an hour or two. Then got a meal cooking.

Taste Rating: 8/10

Washed the pots and .

Carer Benjamin called. No meds, but he reminded me to put the & on both eyes. Added the without any bother to day pouch for me.
I remembered to ask him to take the laundry bag. He didn’t; with him being a new lad, I don’t think he knew where to take it. I’ll ask the morning carer if it is Benjamin; I hope to be awake enough to explain to him.
He’s a spirited young man. I like him.

After Benjamin had left, sleep was suddenly not an option.
Rampaging were to blame!

Going to get some nosh sorted out now.
I want to get my head down early if the Carer comes early on.
