Inchy: Tuesday 29th August 2023 – Common Sense Embargo Day

What a fantastic day it was today it was! Marvellous, gay, abandoned, happy, rewarding, stimulating...
Fair enough, it’s just that I’m getting fed up to the one-and-a-half back teeth I’ve got left; with my own wailing & moaning about life’s naturally unlucky, perversive, frustrating pattern of late! In fact, it was a lot easier than yesterday’s doom, gloom and despondency & pessimism. But, not by a lot!
I did the usual going off track when doing the blogging and found myself working on the rhyming words list again. So, it is now nearly 22:00hrs and I’m only just starting on this blog. Tired out, weary and fighting falling asleep. I’ve not yet had a meal, or shave, and I’ve been up since 02:55hrs! has had far greater success in getting me confused and misled. But one thing was like yesterday: instead of giving myself bad language and feeling sorry for myself, I’ve just said ‘Sod-it’ a few times, and was totally unaware of the things I’d not done, and started different things done, which confused me more than ever!
I think I need help. Hehehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Woke, I looked at the clock and tried to get back to sleep, but without any luck, but I did try.

So about 02:55hrs, I got the night pouch removed from , then hauled my elephantine body from the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner. Temporarily, I had a desire to get so much done… it didn’t last long.

I went to check that no taps (faucets) or the stove had been left on, and I got the kettle on for a mug of Glengettie.

Got the waste bags sorted out.

To the wet room for a wash and get the medicationalisationings tackled. Shortages of medications: Germoloid, Germolene, Olive Oil and Nasal Spray! Tsk!

I’m not sure if I have some new leg water papules coming up or not. New spots of some sort? The feet seemed to have differing colours; they started like this last time the feet legs and especially the ankles blew up? I’ll check later.
The white area on the toes seems to be getting bigger? My email, American Petal-Angel Lisa, suggested this may be Reynauds? I must look this ailment up. ♥

Got the computer on with a view to getting a good early start on yesterday’s blog finishing. But, no! With an hour of getting not much done was on…

The Asda order arrived while I was in another wait for the
to start again.
A big order today… Fridge products sorted…
Then, the frozen ones…
Too much bread in stock! Tsk!
Fridge cram-packed…
Bladder Belinda liquids built up…
My new favourites, are LU soft lemon-flavoured cakes. Very nice indeed. During the day I ate two of these, four shortcake biscuits and two bananas. No meal yet but I may stay awake long enough to make something. Or not!
Very nice, too!

Three hours after getting back on the computer.
Brown-outs had grown to ten.
But seemed to be getting far less now?.

Then, my wandering off onto the word listing for the odes began! I spent hours on it, just not realising.
Carer Kara called twice, and Carer Benjamin also.

As I was eating the second banana and taking this photo…
I felt the warm liquid in the lower region inside the Protection Pants! I knew immediately that this was a bad one.
Off to the wet room, it was I’m afraid due to . And no Daktacort Cream left! Stopping the flow of blood took me ages. Messed up my legs, dirtied the floor, and annoyed me so much. Once the flow stopped and I’d spent aeons medicating, it cost me another hour just to get the floor and myself clean again. The haemoglobin seemed very thick this time?
I returned to the computer, cursing, almost spitting, and feeling rather pissed off again. Especially when my pathetic ground to a halt again.
But it was the last failure. Bless them!

Carer Benjamin arrived for the late call. I was in a surprisingly perky mood for some reason. I took his blood pressure and temperature. All came out in NHS normal band: 123/68, Pulse 68 & Temperature 36.8 all good.

I went to the kitchen to put the oven on for hopefully some chips to bake. And took these two shots of the evening sky.
Bootiful!

00:25hrs: I did some more on this blog. Then got the nosh sorted and were cooking.

Have a Great Day, Each!

Mayhap the oddest day of the week so far.
Unexpectedly Busy? Yes! This blog was not started until Friday.

Being tired after the EENT runabout made me knackered and drained early in the afternoon. But the extra visits were all welcome, all the same.
I faded very early, though; all I wanted and felt needed was sleep.
Fat chance. It can’t be helped. Being a mind-testing set of visits, I had no notes as such to use, and time memory was all I had… Oh, and some earlier-in-the-day photos to prompt me a little. Here goes If Liberty-Global-owned Virgin Media
doesn’t keep going down again. Naturally, it did!

05:00hrs. No night bag attached again, Tsk! The urine in the day pouch was a deep colour. Tummy ache and wind.

Did the waste bags… Carer Chris arrived to sort me.

Computer on…
2 minutes after getting it back on…
Ten minutes after it returned…

Took these kitchen view shots waiting for the internet…
Up in the sky.
Sun coming up from behind.

Carer Kara arrived. And a blessing she was, as she usually is.
She got the bank payment for my Easy-Link debt payment.
£79.00 was put through to the bank and sorted. Emailed Easy-Link to confirm it. No reply yet. Did the eye drops. ♥

Struggled, and it was time-consuming, but I finished the Wednesday blog and posted off to WordPress.

The landline flashed. It was Phlebotomy Nurse Hristina. To tell me she would call tomorrow morning to take the Warfarin INR blood sample for analysis. ♥

The Asda order arrived.
Nibbles
Frozen favourites!
Fresh food treats!
Drinkies to help the bladder
Fridge refilled now

I thought I was doing well on the odeing, then the rush of helpers arrived – Bless Them All!

Two District Nurses arrived. I’d hoped they were going to remove , so that I could have a go at seeing myself after the Finasteride course of tablets had finished. I did not realise that the penicillin tablets had run out, and not the above.
I was hoping to give manual wee-weeing a go, and that I could pass water voluntarily again. With the (hopefully) now-reduced in size Prostate. If the tablets had worked.
But they seem to have put me on another course of these.
The embarrassment brought forth some witticisms from my lips. As the nurse reached for some of my kitchen towels to cover me up – Carer Kara came in while they were ‘doing me’, and I quipped, a postage stamp would have done! Hehehe!

I remembered I’d got some potatoes in the oven for my meal. Kara kindly went to check on them for me. A Lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) and Chlorhexidine, (an antiseptic) tube were shot into Little Inchie. Stings a bit, but a nurse laughed and mimicked, “Oh, oh, oh!” Which took my mind off of the pain. Clever gal! Then… Dang-dang-dang, Dang!
The insertion of the new tube began…
Naturally, my being the brave, heroic sort of young man, there was no grimacing, chewing of the cushion on the c1966, £300, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner which I was sat on, howls of pain, nor exclamations of any sort, like, ARRGH! or anything of that nature while the tube went in.
.
But this inserting nurse was a no-messing-about one; I think she did it last time, too, straight in unhesitatingly. It was soon all over and settled! Thank you! ♥

Kara did the eye drops and medications for me.

Then I got the meal ready.
Simple food for a simple man. Hehe!
Flavour rating: 7.2/10, fair enough

Night carer Chris came early. Which made me think I could watch my favourite ‘Heartbeat’ episodes. I fell asleep after he’s done the eyes and medications, as he sat at the Carers desk.
I woke up, and he was on his mobile.
No doubt female related. It sounded like he was speaking his native tongue, so I kept my eyes shut to avoid disturbing him for some time. He got the night bag onto the Catheter for me, the pouch in the drip tray, and off he trotted.

No chance of watching ‘Heartbeat’; the first episode had almost finished, and not that it mattered cause I drifted off to sleep again. I’m doing a lot of that lately? Twice at the hospital, several times yesterday in the flat, and now again!

I was woken around 20:40hrs, as Carer Chris came to do the last 22:00hr check. Eye drops and Peptac.

No sooner had he left, I fell asleep again!
This time I was almost jumping awake every few minutes, repeatedly. It wee’d me of this did!

I got up, grabbed and hobbled into the kitchenette for safety checks. Being so tired, I thought I may have left a tap running, a door open on the fridge or oven on from cooking the potatoes. All was okay.

I took this Kodak shot of the beautiful late sun setting.
To my Pareidolia’s Delight, I spotted what looked to me like a shrimp in this photograph. Can you see it?

The rest of the night was Sleep, Wake, Sleep, Wake, Sleep, Wake, Sleep, Wake…
Grrr!

Toodle-Pips!

INCHIE: Tuesday 18th July 2023 – Feeling Senticous

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I realise this may be hard to swallow, but I made yet another worrying set of this morning.
I was sat here at the computer desk… well the 1963-bought, falling to pieces, Hopewell’s E-Plan Sideboard, with the doors falling off, having one of my regular panicky modes. And Carer Kara arrived, which always has a calming effect on me. She asked if both of the Thursday appointments had been moved to Wednesday, or just one of them? Panic-Mode Status up to Defcon three! I’d not thought about that! I think she got the idea I was getting worked up when I started to sob and whimper?
Would the Hospital expect me to go two days running? The thought of having to catch a bus and tram there and back put fear in my heart. Mind you there was a fair bit lingering in there, over the thought of having to get trousers, socks and shoes on after the 2-hour ablutioning session each time,
already)
Kara got the details and said she’d try to sort me a lift with Easy-Link and find out about the appointments for me.
When the second Carer, Sam arrived at midday. All had been sorted out, much to my amazement, Easy-Link could fit me in! Also, both appointments will be on! Yes!
A quicker-than-usual blog though, I have to find the time for the full ablutionalisationing session somehow.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

An excellent shade of urine!

Not much rain last night, and no dog to watch bathing in it!

After tending to the needs of the , which was very messy and phooey…
I went to make a brew of Glengettie.
Tea GlengettieAnd took a photo of the tree copse area.
Bootiful!

Got the computer on…
After three minutes! ARRGH!

As it returned, Carer Kara, my Angel of Mercy arrived.
See the Prodrome above for further details.
drops in, medications supplied, then after five minutes, the drops inserted. I remembered this time to stick my finger in the eye for three minutes.
Well, Kara reminded me too!

,
This lasted for about five minutes…

This lasted for about one minute…
Then surprisingly, it stayed on for two hours! So I got as much done as I could in that time.

Then Carer Sam arrived for the noon visit.
The great news is that the appointment is for one day only, and the lift had been arranged with Easy-Link. Brilliant!
Sister Jane phoned as Sam was about to leave and answered it for me. Jane said she’d ring back later
Well fancy that!
So, I called Sister Jane back. She rang on the mobile that I rang her on, I can’t remember her number on the landline.
We had a good natter. Turns out she’s just had her cataract done again. But the poor thing’s experience was the opposite of mine. She was in pain afterwards, and she still is. Poor Jane!
We still managed a laugh or two though; that’s us!

I got on with blogging, again-this believe it or not, was the last failure up to now… a period of four hours! From the
Doing well, aren’t they!

Earlier shot from the computer chair, that I’d missed.

The oddest ever trip to the Throne this was… well, maybe not!
I really thought that was losing his grip on the evacuations. For things didn’t seem to want to start moving, naturally, I thought this could mean a cement torpedo or two… but no! After a good ten or twelve minutes on the crossword puzzle..
. WHOOSH!
Splatter squelch, and all over in less than 30 seconds.
What a mess to clean up!

Into the kitchenette…
Got the potatoes on the boil…
And took this picture.

Then the above snap of the legs, feet and toes.
They did not look like they were mine!
So much improved inflammation in the lower leg, no leaks from the , either! However: and were making up for that. Both get frisky as the day goes on.

Better get the nosh sorted out before the evening Carer arrives.
See you in a bit…

Tuesday Morning Catch-Up
The evening meal
Cheese & onion pasties, potatoes, peas and beetroot.
Cheesecake for afters.
Flavour Rating: 7.2/10.

Went to get the evening’s ablutions done – No Hot Water!

Carer arrived. I mentioned the lack of hot water and asked him to get someone to call the NCH maintenance for me. In and out quickly tonight; the lad was looking tired. Eye drops & medications sorted.

I got up to wash the pots.
Wonderful view!
Close-up of the wonderful view.

Zzz!

Unbelievable! Talk about a reversal.
This morning my worries, fears and panic over not getting help done with so many things were exactly the same. Zilch, nothing was advanced or sorted. But, did I care? Nope!
I really can’t understand it. I was so laid back about things, but the niggles, fretting, and frustration had evaporated, and stayed that way until a few minutes ago, as I started this blog belatedly. Now, All is back to the tension-ridden, nail-biting, sorry for me, considering silly things. It is possible that the wound beginning to heal, but my ankle infection still itching (a good sign). And even the left hip was causing me far less hassle this morning. The urine colour in the night bag was so clear, too.
Comes to something when you have no idea why one suddenly gets the spirits raised a little, but don’t understand why?
Another quickie I’m afraid though. because when I got up after removing the night pouch… Liberty-Global went down.
Even that didn’t sink me into a depression. Confusion Conrad did pay me a long extended visit, though!
Something was amiss with me this morning? Onward

Pleased with the urine shade, though there was not much of it.
That should have concerned me, but it didn’t.

Got the computer on, it went down within a minute!
So, I couldn’t check to see if the hospital had confirmed the change of appointment days or not. Not that it mattered much to me this Monday… it normally would have.

Into the kitchenette.  to get the kettle on to make a brew of Glengettie. Something else different here. Normally, with my restriction to two mugs a day, I would not have made one so early in the day. (I got up at 0335hrs) The sky was a lovely blue.

A summons me to the diverted me to the wet room.
Well, that’s where the bog is. Hehe!
I even had time for a few minutes of cross-wording.
I even managed things using just a third of the toilet roll.

Back to the kitchen, taking this photo of the morning view as it was getting lighter quickly now.

Waiting for the kettle to reboil, I noticed how well the legs, feet & toes were looking.

When it returned I made a start on updating yesterday’s blog, a fair bit to do… not that it bothered me.

Carer Richard arrived. I believe he was concerned about me being so cheerful. Hehehe! In his usual no-fuss manner he got the first eye drops in and issued the medications. I got him a cold drink from the fridge. Lemon & Lime. Then he did the second eye drop and issued the medicine. Believe it or not, I did not squirm at taking this horrible aniseed-flavoured reflux medicine, for the first time ever I think. Something was still amiss this morning?
Said farewell to the lad as he departed, wishing him a good sleep.
Richard took the laundry down for me. Thanks.

Back to the computer…
Even now I not too wrangled?

I was just about to post off the Sunday blog…
Now the irritation was beginning to return.

Got the laundry bag made up.
The computer is back on but after an hour or so…
Now the bile was brewing!

I started to take photographs each time the went down. I’ve collated them all here with the approximate time taken for up to 17:00 hours. Some great on some of them. More later.
1300hrs
14:00hrs

15:00hrs. See anything in this one? You must?

15:10hrs. Raining a bit…
16:40hrs.
And the one below, a few minutes later.
How I got the terrible colouring, I don’t know.
I was a close-up shot though?
Nothing like it looked colourwise, But you can see a man or bear in the left cloud? Or the hand rising? Or is it just me? Hehe! Spitting blood now at

Carer Chris arrived, full of the joys of spring.
drops, then the tablets. Next the lousy-tasting Antacid medicine. Then the eye drops.
Drink from the fridge, and the
Aniseed medicine. Spit! Haha!

We took some photos from the balcony of the clouds.
A dog investigating the mudslide water…
Decide it was bath time, and had a jolly-good jumping-about session. The tail wagging furiously! Great!
Carer Chris took these two for me, catching the shiny rooftop on one house as it caught the sun. Must have sun-power-shields?
The cloud formations had changed a lot, but they were still wonderful, almost pretty some of them.

Puffer clouds high in the sky – I love them.
Lower, the skyline ribbon. With its fingers pointing up skywards, beasts and I see the abominable cloud-man. Haha!
18:20hrs: An open oyster there?

21:40hrs: Getting the late meal sorted, and captured this late sunset shot. Bootiful!

Of course, a man of my education, I could have done the calculation in my head… but would have got a different figure.
I recall some results as I read my final school test in 1960.
Different days of various exams meant some of the lads had skipped school to avoid whichever they were not very good at;

Mathematics: 34th out of 34 tested.
Chemistry: 25th out of 32 tested.
Metalwork: 28th out of 29 tested.
Technical Drawing: 29th out of 32 tested.
History: 29th out of 32 tested.
P.E: 32nd out of 34 tested.
Geography: 12th out of 28 tested.

Had some rather Dark urine in the night pouch this morning.
But there was a little more than there has been lately.

That was a good sign of hope; that the Finasteride tablets may be doing the hoped-for job of shrinking the prostrate, with a view to me being able to wee-wee once again, with Little Inchie direct into the WC!

The ankle and legs looked a lot better this morning. But… the hip joint was genuine agony for me. The rib pains, as are the burning, stinging pains from the leg injury and infection, are less frequent.
I soon learned that walking was risky, with the hip partially seeming to give way now and then. Oh, and the pain when it does – ARRGH!
Turned on the computer. I got the waste bags made up, and I thought the hip pains might ease when I hobbled about. But, No!
Went to make a brew, and the Carer arrived. I was in the kitchen, so I didn’t hear the doorbell sounding. Turned around, and the gal made me jump… Hahaha! She helped me get the slippers on.
Had a closer look at the infected wound coin the leg. It looked so much better. The occasional stinging pains still give me some pain and hassle, though.

I spent a few hours catching up on the blogging. Carer Sam arrived. We had a mini-natter; she did the usual for the noon call. Drops & medications.
I went to make another brew, taking a snap of progress at the house, close to the Woodthorpe Grange Park bottom field. Plenty of equipment or parts there this morning.
I had to take the right slipper off. Too painful, as the leg and ankles are beginning to swell up again. Getting as big as the left leg. The hip is just as bad; it’s not a good place to be when I stand or brave hobbling. Bit of drizzle, and I espied the mud-slide was relatively wide. Hehe!
I went back to the computer to finish off Friday’s post.

Well, fancy that! That’s not exactly why I thought, but you get the idea, I’m sure!)
So, I went off to visit once more, the ,
Another marathon session… well, not the session, but the cleaning up after the session… if you know what I mean… if you do, please let me know. Thanks!

NokiaI finally got the blog sent off to WordPress. A text came in on my new Nokia 90 Hz refresh rate 6.56-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 720×1612 pixels (HD+) and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Nokia G42 5G is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ processor and come with 4GB of RAM mobile. I may have got the wrong name there?
The night bags are being delivered today. Carer Kara ordered them for me. ♥

They arrived at 11:15hrs on the midday Carer Call while Carer Jo-Anne was here.
Raining again.
Made a start of this template.
I took this photo and searched for my missing nail cloppers... no, nail clioppers… 3rd try… nail clippers! Gorrit!
One shot of the houses around about.
A little like an upper-class Coronation Street?
With no Rovers Return, of course!
I thought of some titles for these pictures;

The Invasion of the Grey Clouds!
Grey Aliens Attack!
Is there anybody there?
Grey Clouds Escape?

Aliens Spit Euro Dollar Signs in Attack on Earth!

Maybe not.

Moving forward to take the close-up shot, I accidentally & Caught the infected wound simultaneously on the radiator. Which caused me considerable pain as I twisted my left hip in unison.
But, you know me, (Ahem!) it was no bother; I merely laughed it off casually. Well, I did an hour or so later when the Codeines, Phorpain Gel and Hemp had had time to ease the pain. Hehehe!

I hope the Oligarchs pretend connection does not go down again. I must get the food order done. I will try it now; crossed fingers and all that… Huh!.

I started preparing and cooking the nosh; I just had to take a shot of the sky through the kitchenette window. Gorgeous! A
without any doubt.
Not too fancy a meal. But enough for me to enjoy. The soy lemon yoghurt was the highlight of the dish
.
Flavour Rating Overall: 6/10.

I hobbled off to wash the pots up and got this photograph of the great, which could almost be a painting, view of the evening sky shot yet again.
What happened after that? I’ve no idea. But I woke up later with the hip giving agony, which is most likely the reason. No choice; I had to take an extra Codeine and Paracetomal to ease things before I could nod off again. Tsk!

The likelihood of unlikely liberalism looming is always liable!

Inchie: Friday 14th July 2023 – A Painful One

A terribly painful day. The left hip, mystery rib-stabbing pains; left and right today! The infected right leg looked so much calmer and had never been so painful.
Three Porcelain Throne visits, every one of them Trotsky Terence controlled. (It didn’t half take me a lot of time to clean up after each call!)
Worry over the changed Cataract procedure day; it’s now next Wednesday. Getting a lift rearranged, me forgetting if the booking has been made or not…
Letter from the Doctors, casually telling me to call and book an appointment for my flu jab. How? When? This means begging the Carers to phone them and the Easy-Link for me.
Also, about the penicillin running out. Carer Richard told me to call the doctor to get some more. Carer Kara spent a few minutes helping me, but I’ve lost memory of what she said now. Letters from National Insurance, the bank, and Virgin all need help for me to grasp what needs doing for each one.
This is worrying. I’m not coping very well.
Yet, I can do my stupid odes & blog. But they take so long nowadays to get done.
I keep having problems with the neurotransmitters failing, dropping things more often, and making even more cock-ups on the programmes WordPress, MS Word & Excel & CorelDraw, which costs me more time than I haven’t got. The thought of having to give up the blog sickens me.
But the constant pains today have blocked me from working things out. And, of course, Liberty-Global Virgin Media is ever going down. I just can’t get any help with this.
The British Gas keep telling me to send them a reading, but I can’t understand when I open the box, there are two readings, which do they want? I’ve asked the Warden and all the Carers, but none of them know about this problem?
I thought about ringing the Dementia or Social Services. But will I be able to hear what they say? I’ve got so many cataract procedures and test coming up. A DVT vein procedure,
and want to get to the call-in centre if the leg injury infection doesn’t ease off soon. I’d hooped the NHS falls team would have been advised by someone of my four falls in four days last week.
That spilt out, didn’t it?
Sorry about that, but I am getting desperate for help.

On with the condensed detail-wise blog…

I spotted another option: Maybe the ball-shaped cloud was from an alien craft and had just dragged France in the ball to take it home and study it? Hehe!
Many failures in the first hour and a half…

Despite the occasional agony from the infected right leg wound, the feet and legs looked calmer?

View from the computer desk through the balcony.

I went onto the balcony, and the mudslide shot first.
Then the front car park.

3-hours later, the failures were at…

The pains persisted in my right leg.
Walking was difficult, especially if the hip.
It was playing up at the same time.
Inside of the limb.
With my leg turned in… I’ll not try doing
that again. Hehe! An odd swelling coming
up now on the ankle? Still, it does look pretty.

A good downpour late in the afternoon.

Early Nosh Sorted Out
With a special self-treat to follow…
Vegan Icecream! I added some delicious
mild Polish raspberry juice.
And very nice too! Not overstrong, perfect!

Total failure count, as of now, only…

Much of today was lost to my mind.
But all I can be sure of happening,
with the aid of a few scribbled notes,
and these photographs helped.

I stirred into life, with bladder and tummy pains aplenty. I’d forgotten something last night… I was disappointed that I had failed to put on the flipping  night bag. Yet Again!
Hence the discomfort from the bladder. The day bag must have been close to its bursting point. I forgot to ask the carer to leave a bag out in the drip tray. I got it onto the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, non-working recliner. Had to get up and empty the pouch, but got my head down again.

Stirred once more at 05:00hrs. Well pleased with what little pain and aches I had in the legs. I decided to risk trying to get my slippers on for the first time in weeks. I took a snap with the Kodak before actually moving anywhere.
Nottingham Forest legs – Red & White. Hehe! Things seemed to be going well! So I made for the wet room to do me and to visit the Things went well!
Although had the advantage still.

Although I didn’t realise it then, I’d had four shaving cuts. Carer Kara noticed them later on. All on the neck.

Then… after such a good start, the hip started playing up again. Worries me a smidgeon that does. Just my remembering last week’s four tumbles in four days... the left leg and/or hip giving way being the leading cause of them all.
But none today yet, as I type anyway. Just a few scares when it seemed to feel like it was going, but a second later was back, just giving me the pain. Still, I’ll make myself a mug of tea for biscuit dunking, Glengettie, methinks…
, I had to hasten back to the wet room, and Carer Richard arrived as I entered the door limpingly. I muttered I was sorry but have to carry on.
The evacuation was different once again from ten minutes earlier. Not unusual, as Tom Jones sang.

A messy job that needed cleaning up!
Did the clean-up as fast as I could and went out to Richard.
He looked at the leg, and to my surprise, the right one had bloated up and gone red! Nothing like it was hewn I woke.
Also, I only had one of the prostate capsules left.

And none of the penicillin tablets at all.

He asked me to get the later carer to ring the Doctors.
Carer Kara said she’s ring them tomorrow for me.
She arrived just before noon and checked on the letters I’d received but had to go after she issued the eye drops, medications, and second Eye drops.

Email from Iceland.
Shortcake biscuits, soup to soak the bread in, no doubt with added Borscht and seasonings.
The fridge is now mega-filled!

Amazing afternoon clouds

Plenty of images were spotted in these two

Teatime view, nice!

Later, through the balcony windows.

Found the photo of yesterday’s meal, but today’s seems to have disappeared now!

Evening Care called, and I took two quick, ungood snaps of the sun setting. A close-up
Then a wider shot

I took a picture of the legs, ankles, feet…
And it came out in B&W?
Still, they looked better!

This was one of the best ‘Article-Item-Face’ finding pareidolia session photos of the year.
My first thought was the whole picture could be a map of Europe in the future. Obviously, France had either had a nuclear power station disaster (Or maybe a Brie cheese farm blew up), or Putin was still in charge in Russia and was attacking Europe? The wind was blowing Westwards, and Britain copped for a lot of fallout? The idea tickled me. Hehe!

Cheers, Each!

Life is getting harder…
WordPress has stolen from my editor…
The swatch that permitted text colour!
Liberty-Global, the new owner…
Of the previously good Virgin Media,
Goes down regularly, more oftener.
I’ve contracted insanity & Arithmaphobia!
I’m becoming ever more toeier,
I’m likely a champion procrastinator.
And developing a worrying paranoia!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Too dark in the night pouch!

Thought I’d do a photo tour of the massive flat.
The one and only front room,
balcony showing
Kitchenette
Mini Hallway.
Which I shot through in.
urgent response to the need
of the !
Where…
The carer fitted a

new day bag for me.

After the ablutions were done, I took a closer photograph of the state of the injuries accrued in the last fall.

Titivated the Nurse, Carers,
and delivery folk’s drinkies display.

Car park on Chestnut Walk.

Domestic Denise arrived and mopped the kitchenette for me.
Then with the same water, cleaned the wet room floor for me.
We managed a mini-natter as she filled in the paperwork.
Nice gal Denise is.

Another of the mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, grotesque succubae, Whoopsiedangleplops, ailments, extraterrestrials, ectoplasm, spirits, Accifauxpas, rent increases, food price hikes, and the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind… The left foot seemed to be developing a picture on top of it. It looked so different to the one I took 6 hours ago?

Sun-Setting
.
Can you see the ghostly white clouds above?
Do you see the face?
A wider shot, and it looks like a ghost’s skeleton to me?
Mayhap with w weapon in his left arm?
I do love the clouds.

Later on, before settling into the £300, second-hand, most uncomfortable,  decrepit, Haemorrhoid Harold-testing, creaking, sleep-deterring, nauseatingly beige-coloured, not-working, recliner, I nipped out with Kodak to take sky pics again.
The white area was still there, face with mouth open this time.

The strip of the last sunlight on the horizon.
I clearly recall seeing something in this one, worth mentioning -wise. (I think?) But cannot see it now, Humph!

I foolishly forgot to ask the last Carer who called, to attach the night bag for me and within a short time of sleeping, was full and backing up in the bladder. I painfully got up and put the night pouch on, without too much hassle, and slowly the pain from within the bladder eased, and I got back to sleep.

I vaguely recall dreaming something about me punting a punt, with a very attractive young lady with a sun hat on and an umbrella up… she would not answer my Good Mornings, just chose to ignore me.

That’s all I remember – Oh, the internet blackouts were better!

However…

TTFNski!

Inchie: Tuesday 11th July 2023 – Liberty-Global record internet losses!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Today was the worst ever day of Virgin Media’s internet, now owned by Liberty-Global – going down. A mess. So this is shorter than I wanted it to be information-wise. Sorry. I can see the end of the blogging coming.
And, the font colour option has disappeared from WordPress Editor. I emailed WP for help. Could be ‘a glitch’. Then suggestions that I could not understand, due to my problems nowadays, I can’t do anything to get it back. Bad enough with Liberty-Global oligarchs buying up and into so many UK suppliers, now this may be just too much for me.
This is my sad blog.

Night pouch emptied

My right leg is not any better.
A reversal in evacuation mode back to…

Health Check Returns

The mudslide begins.

The Agony!

Third attempt on the Throne with the unneeded time killer.

Midday view

Under the cabinet?

ASDA ORDER ARRIVED
As Carer Kara was sorting me out, the driver kindly dumped the delivery loose onto the kitchen floor for me.
This is going to be fun, all that bending.

Kara sorted me out and departed.

I struggled on, with the ever going down

This makes it the third blackout

Farcically frustrating!
Can’t get any help in ringing up Virgin, to help sort it out. Not good for me to do it, with auto messages and operators I cannot understand, and who cannot understand me.

Involved in the black-out from.
for so long, it must have been four hours later when I realised that I’d not moved the food from the kitchen floor! Aargh!
So I made a start, a painful; start every time I had to bend.

The frozen chips had started to melt.
The ready-prepped spuds.

Cheapo batteries, Curls and baking soda.

The fridge & freezer were well-filled.Freezer mostly with bread products.

I checked on the day’s outages reported. Then…

🎵And the heavens poured🎵

But only for ten minutes then it came back on…
For one minute…

The rain stopped

The Internet returned but was very slow.
I went to make a brew Glengettie.

.
Against the corner of the cabinet…
.
And clouted the right leg’s wound and ulcer!
Naturally, I was blithe & cool over the incident.

I went onto the balcony waiting for the Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet to return.
Took a picture of the returning rain-covered scene, of some flats balcony and the car park.

Back online again. Made a WP ~Prompt reply. Once again took a soggy, spluttery visit to the Porcelain Throne.

Made a meal. (Realised in the morning that I had forgotten to put the SD card back in the Kodak) Took a photo of it.

The rain returned.

Back on three minutes later.
Started to post the Prompt blog…
Back on eight minutes later…
Shame! Had to do a complete restart on the computer and Virgin box, but got it back on within 40 minutes.
I posted the blog and was sending an email…
I waited for half an hour, but it wasn’t keen on coming back online again…
I turned everything off, losing the email, CorelDraw work and this blog updates.

Cragknangles!

Inchie Monday 10th July 2023: Gawd Bless Liberty-Global, Cause I can’t!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
INCHIES ODE OF THE DAY
He thinks this is one of his bestest ever?
Funny & ambiguous… I know, but he tries…

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I burst back into ersatz life, took off the night pouch, (Great colour!), I did one hundred press-ups while yodelling a welcome to the morning. Then a bit of shadowboxing, and ten minutes on the weights… I’ll try again… I wearily forced the eyelids open and saw it was 06:45hrs. With great reluctance, I began to edge my stiff aching torso towards the edge of the c1968, non-operational, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, germ-breeding, Harold Haemorrhoid-Testing, sickeningly beige-coloured recliner. The pain when I moved the right leg was good. I think the infection that is clearing in the toes and foot, is creeping upwards now? A complete reversal now; the left leg has deflated a lot, and the right is warm to the touch, swollen rock-solid, and so painful if I touch it… hobbling about today has been worse than last week. Getting the night pouch off of the day bag has never been such a painful struggle.

I went off to have my morning mug of tea early and thought that the view from the kitchenette window was worth viewing. Gawd the leg was hurting!
The beauty would soon be forgotten…

The same as yesterday happened, only worse, it caught me out and caused embarrassment at it happening, Grumph! . As well as an, or two, followed! The rear-end evacuation started, unstoppably, before I’d got to the wet room door on my way to the . What a mess! embarrassment is not a strong enough word!
Agony is not a strong enough word for when I had to clean things up again. I might have been worse I suppose. Getting the fresh Protection pants on was dodgy, nearly had another Whoopsie!

The right leg’s red areas continue to creep up the leg.

I put the computer on, went for another controlled visit to the , I got back to the computer after another mammoth cleaning up job; but…

Made a brew of Glengettie while waiting for the of to get back online. Which lasted for about twenty minutes or so, and then…

I think it must have been the fourth visit to the . The computer came back online.

Got a crack on while I could. At least two hours uninterrupted!
But then
.
This time the oligarchical owned failed for a much longer time. I kept checking frequently, and when the imitation service, (I use the word loosely) returned, I went to the UT to watch a documentary about the Bhopal disaster. Another result, similar to the poor sods who died, got injured, and had their lives ruined by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, there were no prosecutions of the guilty gits in charge of running both disasters!

I got very emotional, and could not resist looking at a Grenfell Tower documentary, to remind myself of the crookedness, and protection from prosecution of worldwide!
I don’t mind admitting, both clips brought tears to my eyes.

No sooner had I changed to blogging…

So, I made the second brew of tea, Thompsons Punjana.
With the regular four cookies being dunked!
Still no sign of owned

Went to wash the mug out, and the breeze coming into through the part-open kitchenette window, felt lovely on my right leg, cooling. I’m not sure why…

But I took two shots of the legs. Of, course there would have been a reason… but…

As the customer service failed for the umpteenth time, my spirits sank. I’d spent hours redoing lost work thanks to the $26 million salaried Mike Fries, or Steve Fries, Mike I think… Where was I?

It may have been more. (And was later on!)

I took a snap of the rather beautiful late afternoon view.

The forehead, eyes, lips of the face. Do you see them?

I’m fed up with moaning!

Another go at getting this blog started…

I surrendered to the

Nosh was prepared… then burnt…
I spat a bit, self-condemned and stuck my bottom lip out!

The night Carer arrived and did me

Then as I put some more potatoes in the air-fryer this time, which has a timer on it to avoid burning food.
I wish I’d realised that an hour ago!
I got Kodak Keith and took these shots of the sunset.

High in the sky

A little lower…

Down a smidgenNightie-Night Sunshine!

Back to keep an eye on the fodder cooking.

The second effort.
Veg soup with Borscht.
Unburnt potatoes with the
last of the Tear & share bread.
A pot of the high-class custard & Jelly.
By gum, I live well!
Taste-Rating: 7.5/10!

The right leg infection or whatever you call it, kept me from nodding off for a while. But I got there… Zzz!

TTFNski!
