Thursday 25th February 2021
Hungarian: 2021 Február 25 Csütörtök

02:15hrs: I woke after another long but bad nights kip, coughing, shivering and sneezing again. (For clarity, please add frustrated, fed-up and feeling relatively weak all round!) As I was freeing my scarily over-bellied body from the c1968 recliner, the Porcelain Throne’s first summoning arrived. Off I hastened to the wet room, for the most God-awful, repugnant, obnoxious evacuation it was!
Trotsky Terence was in full charge! Not a lot came, but it was sticky, gooey, smelly and messy in the extreme! Repugnant! Repeated flushes were needed, nearly a full roll of TP used. So much precious time lost cleaning things up, and Harold’s Haemorrhoids needed treatment afterwards.
I returned and turned on the computer… this is the screen message that I got up! Which panicked me! My heart sank, misery lingered, depression dawned, and I was near to tears! The brain rattled aimlessly. Fear grabbed a hold on me, along with sadness!

All I could do was to turn off and start again. I had no idea what the message meant. Which I did! Thankfully, the computer started properly this time. Phew! Does anyone know what the problem was, please?
I got the Health Checks done. The Boots Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, had a lower SYS at 149, DIA 76, and PULSE of 87bpm.
My Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, read at a lower than yesterday; 36.8°c – 98.2°f. Which seemed okay to me.
I took the morning medications. And had to return to the Porcelain Throne again! For a session that was almost an exact repeat of the first visit, sticky, gooey, smelly and messy in the extreme! Also, it took ages to clean and medicate afterwards.
I thought it might help if I could manage a mug of Glengettie Gold. So I made one and returned to computing. Got the Wednesday blog updated and posted off to WordPress.
Emailed the link, during which I got the hot and cold shivers again, and Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters kept dying off, causing me more lost time and frustrations. I went on Facebooking catch-up, which Nicodemus ensured was a nightmare struggle, Humph!
I visited the WordPress Reader. Then read and replied to the comments that had come in. The sneezing and coughing called on me regularly.
Oh, dearie me! Off to the Porcelain Throne again! The only difference to the earlier two visits; was the feverish shivering, hot one minute, then almost freezing. This distemperature was not a good sign! I considered taking some cough medicine and a cold capsule. But, I decided against this, with my being on so many other medications. And the effects of the crap, cruel, vicious AstroSeneca side-effects still lingering from last Saturday. Although slowly getting more manageable. The fever is worrying, though. The Throne evacuation was of the same model as the two earlier and took an awful lot of cleaning up again. I’m fed-up with this!
I was shivering and shaking a fair bit now. I tried to take some shots of the dehumidifier and thermostat to glean some information. But the shaking meant this is the only one that was seeable, just! It told me the humidity was in the green, and the temperature was a smidge high. So why do I keep shivering? Beats me!
Huh! Sneezing and coughing again, now. Still, the chest isn’t as phlegmy as yesterday. Things are slowly improving, methinks… mind you, I still ain’t looking forward to the second crippling, AstroSeneca side-effect-ridden vaccination!

I went to get the Ablutions done; boy, did I clout my right shoulder on the wet room doorframe? Yes! I did. Argh!
But, this ablution session was the best for weeks! Oh, Yes! The nasal clearing went smoothly and effectively! No-dropsies! The teeth cleaning smoothly, only the one dropsy! The shaving had only two diddy-nicks and the
same amount of dropsies! OK, this innit?
The showering had no dizzies, bangs or knocks pm the grab bars or dispenser… not one! Mind you, the dropsies counted about six. But no
injuries in retrieving the dropped items! ![]()
The medicationing was fine, and just the one loss of balance getting the PP’s on. I gave my right knee fairly good clout against the floor cabinet, but I’ve had much worse. No moans from me!
I got the waste and recycling bags made up and went to get them on the box on the walker-guide trolley.
AS I spotted a letter in the box, another one followed ontop the floor, and as I was retrieving them, a leaflet came through as well. Hello, I thought I must investigate and sort these out. The first one was from the Pension Service Justin Tomlinson, ruler, advising a little increase in my pension. Nice that!
The leaflet told me of the upcoming Census.
The last one was from Nottingham City Homes Safety Officer Glen Sutton. It advised me that on Monday 1st & Tuesday 2nd March, our contractors will be removing the green portacabins from Chestnut Walk. To be able to move them, we will need to close the car park next to Woodthorpe Court to the public for a period of time each day, so they can be safely
lifted and removed.
Each lift should take no longer than one hour to complete, and we will be putting barriers in place to keep everyone safe. Etc. etc. I assume these are the cabins mentioned in the advisory letter.
I took a photo of the end of Chestnut Walk at the same time. Just for Billumski, the Associate Professor of the RCMA Red Car Monitoring Assessment (Financial Donations Accepted) of Ohio.
It looks like all the old garages twixt the trees have now been demolished at the end. Still fenced off, though. I’m not sure if new garages are going to be built later or not.
I returned from my mystery tour, used the trolley to get the rubbish bags to the waste-room. Again, all was silent on the
way to the chute—no finger or knuckle trapping today. Although getting the recycling down the tube, I had to split it into another bag to get it to go down.
I returned along with the trolley on the elevator lobby with the emptied box. I have to say the Art-deco end wall does look good to me.
I made a brew and started making some graphics to use in future templates on Corel Draw. But the early weariness was dawning again. I made up the remainder of the chilli-Con-Carne from last night and merrily took photographs of it without a card in the camera, not realising at the time. Humph!
I ate it all, although it was only a small dishful.
After that, the hot and cold shivers started. I managed to stay awake until the ‘Tales of the Unexpected’ episode started… but I was in a deep sleep within minutes, disturbed only by a cough or sneeze, or cold shudder – but repeatedly.
Another lousy night’s rest. Not doing very well, am I? Tsk!

But the taste-buds were not working again. Most disappointing flavour to the tea. Humph!
thought didn’t do me much good!

I took a shot of the view through the glass in the kitchen window. Not a very good effort, but I wasn’t too bothered, plenty more serious things to worry about.
graph on the web. A comparison between two of the Covid vaccinations companies being used. Not that one has any choice in which to have, of course. Unless you have a Private Doctor. I’ve got an NHS doctor, who I did manage to talk to on the phone three months ago.
Woke up feeling a bit groggy, shivering again.

01:20hrs: After managing to get my body to move for the first time in hours (mind you, I had to, to use the Porcelain Throne), I clambered my way painfully to the Throne Room.
I took the morning medications, and sneezing and coughing once again, I made up the email to send to the surgery. I searched Mr Google, asking what news they had of reactions to the Covid vaccine details:

I took a chance and made a brew of Glengettie Gold.
Then did the first (
To say I was using the Canon, I was pretty pleased with them for once. This Canon does not do darkness very well at all usually. I had a lot of failures before I managed to get these two.
As I dried off, I saw how the legs were almost perfect! I can’t understand why this improvement in their conditions has occurred. The old ulcer wound still lingers and occasionally itches. It seems the Clopidogrel arks and lumps that they told me would be with me forever have all cleared up? The biggest surprise is the Thrombophlebitis DVT are also absent?
I missed taking a shot of a murder of crows! I got back in the apartment and decided to take a couple of photos from the balcony in the daylight.

At last, he recognised I was struggling and brought them to the door for me, and off he trotted. Which was nice of the lad.
I opted for Barbeque flavoured mackerel, surimi sticks, tomatoes, garden peas, wholemeal bread thins, and some misshaped cream eclairs for afters. The after-effects from the AstraZeneca vaccine meant things didn’t taste as normal by a long way yet, but a 6.5/10 for taste was given.

I got in a muddle sorting them, and made a mistake after error, and have no idea if I’ve got them right or not. It took me hours.
tank flushes to clear things away. Not a good experience, which I partly put down to the vaccine, mayhaps?
Got it finished and emailed the link. Pinterested a photo or two. Went on Facebooking catch-up. Then I went on the WordPress reader section.
I took the fodder to the computer and ate my breakfast from the drawer as I started this blog going.
Only one cut shaving, and a total of only about four dropsies! The showering was uneventful, but I did manage to misjudge the spacial-awareness coming out afterwards, but no damage to the door frame. I managed to clout the arm right where the vaccinations spot was. Hehe!
possible beforehand.
All was done, wrung and hung, above the sink.
Delivered a couple of minutes before the instructed time of 12:00hrs, Josie seemed content with it.
I was almost irritable at any and everything that was happening, suddenly? I began to question whether I had had so much sleep… But it makes sense, so why do I begin to feel tired again, so early in the day?
I arrived, and dropped the various waste bags down the chute, and had a farcical series of dizzy spells. Odd, because each time it came on repeatedly, I was in a perfect position to grab hold of something for support. Amazing!

21:30hrs: I burst awake, confused, needing a wee-wee, and coughing. With new bother at all, I was up, caught my balance, had a weak, unwilling wee-wee, and heard the noise from above again, like a humming motor. The World Wide ‘Hum’ was heard as well.
I got the pre-dump Health Checks done. The Boot’s Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, had good results for once. SYS 144, DIA 70, and the PULSE 84bpm. Looking good again! The Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, proffered a 36.8°c – 98.24°f temperature. Still a smidge high.
Aha, summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived, at last! I thought to myself, this is going to be interesting. And it was!
I got the handwashing rearranged and onto the curtain rail above the wall heater. To dry off. The made in Myanmar (Burmese), maroon and blue zip-up jackets, and the light purple Afganistan thermal jumper were done.
I carried out the post-dump Health Checks.

The pins seem to have lost a lot of fluid—the skin paler than never.
I got the job done pretty quickly, which gave me time to get some more handwashing done: the Indian long sleeves t-shirt, the lounge pants and a pair of socks. Al done, wrung and hung to dry.
I went on the balcony and tried to take some decent shots of Chestnut Walk below. This is the only one of the five taken that was not too bad. The Canon camera just doesn’t like being used in the dark. I might try with the sometimes working – others not, Kodak camera the next time. I wonder where I left it?

23:25hrs: Woke with a start, in need of a wee-wee. I disentangle my overly-stomached body from the £300, second-hand, c1968, eyesore of a horrendously-grungy coloured, haemorrhoid-testing, unfit-for-use recliner, and caught my balance. A few hobbles to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket) and, I was somewhat disappointed in the reluctant trickle that followed.

Not so acidy or metallic tasting when eating the sucker with it.
intended, advice-giving…
Again, I felt the sensation that a few pounds of compacted-product wanted to be released, but the innards
I carried out the Post-Dump Health Checks.
Then I got the ablutioning sorted out. And jolly fine it went, too! The teeth-cleaning two dropsies, but otherwise, it was problemless! Oh, yes!

Some milk toll bread to soak up the amazing flavoured gravy. I’d added some veg and meat Oxo to it and a few extra black beans. Flavour Rating: 9/10! The pot of jelly and custard went down well, too.
Sweet Morpheus welcomed me, even though I wanted to stay awake long enough to watch ‘Tales of the Unexpected’.
but sprang awake as the landline flashed.

I put the kettle on and got the first of the Health Checks done. The Boots Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, showed a pleasing SYS of 142, Dia 72, and PULSE of 89bpm.
Started the updating of the Wednesday blog, which for some reason I’d missed making reminder notes for, so it was a bit hit and miss, factually. Got it completed and sent off to WordPress. Pinterested a few snaps. Emailed the link. Checked the email in-box and found that Iceland, were back to missing items and substituting again! So, that’s Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s and now Iceland, who seem to be short of fabric conditioner?
The delivery might arrive anytime now, so I went on Facebooking while I awaited the food to arrive. Went to check the door, yet another letter arrived re-the Covid Vaccination having to be booked. The head spins each time I get one with different or opposite instructions!
The Iceland man rang the intercom. Dropped the stuff through the door for me and got a can of Pimms in thanks and appreciation from me.
I got the bags in the box, added the recycling one last, and off to the waste chute.
I took the walker and waste out through the lobby and into the lift lobby. All was quiet on the Western front. I couldn’t even hear the ‘Hum’ in the lobby? Eerie!
the room. My coordination seemed to be going to pot? This I put down to the Peripheral Neuropathy. When I was typing, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters were on and off all the time; I think I may be in for some SSS and even an involuntary right leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance later on.
I bumbled my way back into the flat. My spacial judgement is still not good. I had a twinge of muscle contractions and thought it might be a good idea to make up some of the spring water concoctions and make sure I drank as much as possible to give me a chance of avoiding the sleep-taking Colin Cramps when he visits tonight.
I got on with creating some graphics for the future templates on CorelDraw. Then at long last, I used the Porcelain Throne! A Constipation Konrad grind! But not messy.
photograph through the balcony windows of the bleak wintery weather.
that having anything to eat was out the question. I got settled and put the TV on, ‘Tales of the unexpected’, two half-hour shows. These take me back to happy times when I didn’t need to wear an adult size nappy. Hehehe! I found enthusiasm for watching a programme at last. Headphone on, I began to enjoy the first one…

I went to empty, clean and sanitize the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and found a letter had b
I gave up and went to get the 2nd Health Checks done. Cor blimus! The SYS had gone down even further, to 112, now!?!?! DIA down to 64, and the PULSE 84.
latest figures. Mapperley and Gedling are introducing Covid Marshals on the streets, to check that people are wearing their facemasks when shopping!
I replied to some emails… had a rare wee-wee, of the SSPV (Short-Sharp-Painful-Variety), no pre or post dribbling. But I noticed that the colour was that of the unhealthy number-four option on the NHS record card. ‘Dehydrated’.
some reason. So loud!

2230hrs: Woke, so happy that Colin Cramps attacks least night, were far shorter than they have been, and I’d managed to get about four or five hours in the arms of Sweet Morpheus.
Then, I did the pre-dump Health Checks. A big difference today. The Boot’s Sphygmomanometer readings were better, the SYS 137, DIA 70 and the PULSE 87bpm. That looked good to me.
Made the first brew of Glengettie, and updated this diary, then onto the template making again. But remembered to do the Post-Dum,p Health Checks!
shaving, SSS and SS both disappeared? Tons of dropsies and three tiny nicks. I was still getting the odd shivering bout.

When I got shot (Working in Security in those days), they left me on a trolley in a passage and forgot about me for four-hours! General Hospital. Has this ever happen to Pete? No!
When I got the hernia and was rushed into the QMC, Jane helped out my bringing things for me. Then, while repairing the hernia (Genuine bit of good luck here!), they found cancer in the bladder! Fortunately, they already had the laser and camera down my penis to deal with the rupture, so they set to and lasered the prostate cancer, at the same time! Serendipitous indeed! Has this ever happen to Pete? No!
Got into the Newall Stroke Ward. Jane and Pete visited a few days later. I got a window bed, but no camera to use. So Pete took this photo on his visit a few days later. Has this ever happen to Pete? No!
The ambulance ladies who collected me left much of my possessions behind and took some that belonged to the patient in the next bed! I learned on the journey, gruesome details of one of the ambulance lady’s Cesarian operation, and that the other was going in for a breast reduction that months end! Has this ever happen to Pete? No!
During my weeks there, I had my eyes opened. I had to make a police witness report and went for two days without being given an evening meal. But I loved it there. Has this ever happen to Pete? No! But he did take this photo when he visited me to check on my finances.
The photo shows a bottle of pop and a book that had yet to be returned to the rightful owner, taken there by the ambulance drivers in their rush to get me out of the hospital. They also failed to take my underwear, socks and Crossword books! Has this ever happen to Pete? No!
Then, the room was needed urgently, so for the third time, I was moved. Again they called on Jane & Pete to lift me home. Has this ever happen to Pete? No! Hehehe! I’d have been lost without him and Jane, though! They listed and took all of my valuables while I was away for safe-keeping, Bless him. I’ll get them back one day!
I was given a carer to help me dress and put on the ankle strap, which was greatly appreciated I can tell yers!
The After-Stroke nurses came regularly, and again were very much a boon to me! They stopped coming when they arranged months of one a week two-hour physio training for me. It nearly crippled me! Haha!
The now dreaded Sock-Gide was delivered, and the blood-blisters and bruised flourished. Has this ever happen to Pete? No!
