It’s genuinely difficult to write this little overview,
And wanted to write it in rhyme, too!
I’m not going to start moaning… I’ll try not to…
Naturally, I can’t promise you,
My brain used to act as an autocue…
Now, Wednesday, I’ve another brain scan due,
Dementia Doreen has me as a detenue & détenu,
It’s difficultest to maintain logic & virtue,
There is no point now in taking any long view…
It’s a battle to wash, dress, and take a poor!
Whatever can I do?
I try to stay witty and not feel blue…
Price rises in rent, electricity, & food accrue,
Bad enough, but now the mind does miscue,
The eyes give me misty, mottled view…
The catheter pain, pouch replacement is overdue…
Without help, I can’t get on a sock or shoe!
Taking too many tumbles. walk into doors too!
Deafness worsening will continue…
But I’ll not give in, I promise you!
When I see St Peter and his gate crew…
There’s going to be a right hullabaloo!

————————————
Sorry not have much on today; time beat me again…

This is the punch, one hour after emptying it. Not a lot?

Gloomy morning.

.
Potatoes were put in the slow cooker and forgotten about again.
I can use them on Monday?

Email from Manor Laboratories in the USA. The Time-Machine Professor Billum and HRH Lisa-Petal, are going to ring me again: Bless them! ♥
Being a logical Scientist, Billum asked which time would be bestest to make the call. I checked on next week’s calendar and sent a copy to the Manor. It was early Morning when I found this, hope  I got it right.

Yikes! This ain’t good.

Not so good view photos tonight.
Still, I’ve done worserer ones. Tsk!

The ‘In’s & Out’s of it’ continued today.
I think I had many more than yesterday.
Which resulted in dozens of mini-mind-blanks.
As for  recalling what I was doing… well?

Gotten Himmel!
I think it looked worse than what it was. The light shining on the masculine, jealous-making to others, postmarked scarred, blotchy right leg makes the blood in the bag seem darker than it really is. No? .
The pouch seemed ready to explode as well.

The vegetarian casserole went down well. I’d seasoned t with some Henderson’s sauce, sea salt, 7-Mediterranean vegetables sauce, and tomato passata with basil, and a vegetable Oxo cube. Oh, yes, and a sprinkling of some imitation soya-bacon crumbles.
I gave this a Taste Rating of 7.4/10. Not bad at all.

Sweet Morpheus was not keen on helping me again, and I ended up putting the TV on, that usually guarantees me nodding off. Well, it did this time… But unfortunately, it took a couple of hours longer than usual

Evening, all!
Well, Morning all then. Hehe!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
So sad
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Most of the day, I was concerned about the banking mystery
I got three voice messages over the first hour or so of my escaping the questionable pleasure of the second-hand, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly-sickening beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly, germ-producing, falling to pieces, Harold-Haemorrhoids-testing, food residue-collecting, fall-outable off, rusty, catheter-tube squashing recliner.
But I could not hear what was being said, and I missed most of it, especially as they were reading out telephone numbers that I had to dial.
Then another one came, which cleared the phone of the earlier ones, and I had no idea how to get them back again!
At this point, I thought I’ll wait until a Carer came, and I asked for help – hoping it would be Carer Richard. It wasn’t; I think the lad has either left the job, fallen poorly or is fed up with my moaning? Hehehe!

Then, Carer (I think) it was, who arrived). Or was it Carer Charly. I can’t recall which came first now. With the fretting over the bank account being frozen… nothing else mattered for a while.
Then, a telephone call came in!.
After a while, trying to understand the man, who said he was from the bank and was concerned about some outgoing and needed to check them. It was from America; where the two big amounts came from?
They had cancelled my account and will send me a new card in a few days’.
They think that I’ve been frauded, scammed, got at, whatever.
At the back of my Doreen Dementia mind, I was thinking, is this chap a scammer or really from the bank? Either way, he somehow convinced me that he was… he did not ask for any numbers or figures anyway = well, not that I can remember. No one to help me now; Carer Kara is away, and she can’t reset the shopping details… I rang off, but it was afterwards that I realised I’d got an order arriving from Asda and Ocado – will I get them or not with the card being suspended, whatever you call it… withdrawn?
I tried to make an amendment to the Asda order. To see if the card was still active – it let me add a couple of things, but at the checkout, it wouldn’t let me! I checked on the numbers I’d put in earlier and tried again…
Nope, no good. So I’ll not be getting the food then.

I can’t recall seeing the fridge so barren of food. Not that it mattered; I’ve got tons of canned food and nibbles all over the flat. Hahaha!
I mentioned to Carer Charly on her next visit, and she said she’d bring some bread in for me late tomorrow. Bless her!
I’ll try not to mention this again. Thought I’d get it out of the way.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Not many photos were taken. Just not interested for hours and hours I was trying to get my head around and settled over the banking mess. No shave again, not showering. I must drink!

This is the 2nd check colour.

Took this immediately after getting off the phone for the second time… I was more than concerned. So many possible different outcomes that may mature. Talking of mature… I must check the dates on the food in the fridge… Silly me! There are only strawberry desserts in there.

I was weeing well. Although I can’t take any credit doe it. At least fifteen emptying sessions twixt 15:00 to 19:00hrs!

Only the safe sun-setting shots here…

I took these over about half an hour.

To the left…

To the right…

Higher up. ahead.

Higher still…

Even though dour, it looks beautiful to me.

Last effort.

Nosh: At last!

Canned thick vegetable soup. Canned potatoes cut up and added. Seasonings; BBQ, sea salt, liquid smoke, basil, soy-bacon bits and a good dollop of some excellent tomato passata.

An oven-cooked baton of bread. Two pots of dessert – well, one of them was on its last eat-by-date.
Carer Cheeky Charly called. We had no to use. Chemist & District nurse communication problems?

Zzzz!

A bad day for the “Out-Of-It” spells.
“Mind Blanks” & “Self-Loathing. I made up ten templates in advance today… A bad mistake. Cost me most of the day. But I kept mind-wandering off to do other things, without a care in the world for while I was doing them… Afterwards, catching up and getting to where I was before my meanderings just cost me more time. As if things don’t take long enough to get done nowadays? I’d have missed the first proper sunset we’ve had for days if it wasn’t for Carer Carolynne arriving. She helped me take some photos. As usual, I got carried away and took far too many for far too long. By the time I’d returned to the computer, I’d acquired an empty mind of magnificent incapability. What was I doing? Ah, well, I’ll do my best. I’m only just starting this blog, and it is already 22:30hrs!

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Bloody heck! Well, in the pouch!.

Guess who burnt his already burned knuckle?

Carer Sam and Carollyne had been and gone.
I got on with the template-making again.
It only took me about nine hours to get them done.

I got some soup in the saucepan and added some
imitation bacon bits, liquid smoke, salt and vinegar to the
vegetables, and added a can of peas. Lovingly stirred it
all together, but I got summoned again to the beloved
. Where I spent the next hour or so in
a battle to force an evacuation. Like cement! The soup got burnt!

I had a pot of Chinese rice.
It was very nice.

The next few hours are nothing more than scraps of memory.
I don’t recall anyone calling on me, but think they did.
I found the hot tap running and now have no water to wash and shave with. No way am I going to try using saucepans and kettles in the state I’m in… at least, I think I was. I must see the nurse about these bouts of, as I call them, being “Out-of-it!” Anything could happen. It might have?

Carer Carolynne arrived for her last call. This is when I realised we had got a sunset going on in the night sky. I got the Fuji, and the Carer took some photos on her mobile phone of the magnificent view on offer. After she sorted the medications and took the bags out for me, I stayed taking photos for about an hour as the reluctant-to-leave-us sun fought to stay in view. Marvellous! IK think I’ve got them in order as taken.

First batch.

Second batch…

Third effort – Getting good now!

Apparently, calming down?

Leaving?

Fare thee well!

Hello! Is she trying to make a comeback?

Took some close-ups here...

I went to empty out the day pouch again, disinfected and cleaned the bucket, and back into the kitchen for a brew…
Blimey, she was still giving it a go!
Wonderful!

I really enjoyed taking them shots!

Carer Richard arrived – he was not happy.
We were out of night catheter bags.
So that’s why the others didn’t attach them
to the day bag for the last three nights.
No one has done anything about it.
The lad was really annoyed and was fed-up.
Which upset me in a way; I hate to see.
Richard upset. Poor lad. He didn’t stay long,
he was not in the mood for a natter.

And he didn’t call on Monday morning either.
Hope he’s alright.

A decent nosh made. Nowt to get excited about.
Guess what it was? Hehe! Flavour Rating 6.8/10.

But the vegan ice cream for afters was brilliant!

Another day ruled by Conrad Confusion.
It’s a secret even to me; half of what occurred, happened, went wrong, took place, or I did. Confusionalitis at its finestest!
Thank heavens for the photos. The following is not in chronological order; this is because my brain isn’t. Hehe!

One light, one dark leg and foot.

First photo of the day.

I now not what is was taken for.

Afternoon shot. As you can see above…
The lowest BP ever taken!

Only one visit all day…
Rock Hard and resistant to come out!

Late afternoon Shot.

Ah, I remember that Nurse Christina came to take the Warfarin INR blood to test. Lovely to see her again after so many weeks. She kindly rang the district Nurse’s place to inform them of the shortage of ‘s. The lay said they would order some from the chemist who should deliver them to Meridian. Also, is the pains from Little Inchie continue, I must ring them. They didn’t get any worse, so didn’t need to.

acci-whoop

After cleaning the things from last night, I went into the wet room to start washing and shaving. Midway through the shaving, the water ran cold… Argh! I’d left the hot tap running in the kitchen! So, no hot water to finish shaving.
I got water in the crockpot, two saucepans, and the kettle.

Meridian cleaner Denise called and did some housework for me, bless her.

Amazing sky, around 04:00hrs.

Amazing sky, around 04:10hrs..

Then I stopped everything (Not that I was doing much other than this blog) and just took photos as the sky changed and became coloured as the sunset started. The best bit of the day for me… well, after Nurse Nichol, Cleaner Denise, and Carer Adele. I do love these nights…

After I took this shot of the car park below, the sky captured my imagination. I started my pareidolia fixation going for the next fifteen minutes taking these shots of the changing sky – and searching for any figures I could find in the multi-coloured patterns!

Well, I’m just a lad at heart still... Hehehe!

I think these are in order as I took them.

Star shop Enterprise quality these…

The lowering sun…

Beautiful layered night sky…

The sun reached weaker clouds,
and breaks through.

Bootiful!

Gorgeous!

Still gorgeous two minutes later…

Distance shot for her last minutes

In close for a final effort.

By gum, I enjoyed doing them!

Evening Carer Jozeph arrived as I’d made a brew.
He got the medications sorted for me and checked the stove as it was on; he asked if I was using it; or did I want it turned off. I told him I would make some chips after doing a bit more of this blog.

I got the above photos online, turned off the computer, and I set about getting the meal made.

There you are, then, proof that I am a man of letters! Hehe!

Arrived, waking me up and . He departed, and I finished the meal, then went and locked the front door.
I got down to have a sleep, at last!

Half an hour later, rangeth the door chime? I was unsure why she had come, but it seemed she was due? Had to go carrying the night pouch in one hand and the Four-Pronged metal Mickey stick in the other. She asked if I wanted any medications; I thanked her and declined. Explaining that the night catheter had already been done. She checked the taps and stove for me and, after a mini-waffle, followed her to the door and bade her farewell.
Locked the door again, stick and pouch in hands, I returned to the £300, second-hand shop bought nine years ago, c1966, discomfiting, alarmingly beige-coloured, crumb-containing, TV remote hiding, not working recliner, and swiftly fell into a state of sleep. I know I’d been dreaming but could not remember the slightest detail about it. Humph!

Evening, All!

Another quickie here, folks, sorry.

Up at 06:20hrs. The night pouch was removed. Which started off very annoyed with me, Back-Pain-Brenda, for the rest of the day. Huh!

However, the urine was a healthy colour. Got the pouch emptied. Wrapped it was per the instructions in a blue bag. Then thought I’d better get a shave at long last. I stripped (Not the catheter, of course) and had a good stand-up body scrubbing session. As I was about to get the shaving done, the door chime chimed. No, I didn’t mean that… the intercom chimed; luckily, I’d left the wet room door open, or else I’d never have heard it. It was the Ocado delivery I ordered last week and forgot all about, and ordered an Asda delivery for today as well. I know, four weeks on the trot now that I’ve done this. Is there no hope for me?

Not a lot of things, though, but some expensive stuff in there, And some favourites that no other store stocks now?

Like Marmite crisps, well loaded up now!.

The costly Flash mop thingamajigs, wet and dry pads.
They were on sale at half-price!!!

Then the Lynt Easter eggs the carers like, and fresh (Kenyan) podded peas: neither of which are available elsewhere!

Some reet treats here, Alcohol-Free fizzy pretend champagne.
Blood orange tonic weather as well. I shared a bottle of the ersatz plonk with someone later on.

Then after getting things put away and taking a painkiller to appease the bone-shaking Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, the door chime did go off, and in came Carer Richard as I was putting the kettle on.

The lad got down to sorting out the medications for me, and we had a few minutes of the nattering session, during which he gave me some advice. He was feeling a smidge better, he said this morning. Great news; if he meant it, bless him. Off he trotted, with me telling him to get to bed. Hehe!

Moments later, the Asda order arrived. A big one this was; it filled eight carrier bags and two boxes.

Accifauxpa getting one of the carriers inside.
I was carrying it with both hands and tripped over the stick as it fell from my arm… This caused the inserted into Little Inchie Catheter Cathleen tubing to be yanked a little. Christ, it hurt! Still does, actually, nine hours later!

However, being the trooper, hero, and brave bold man I am, after stopping the bleeding, I just got on with the mammoth job of sorting out the delivery. Naturally, it didn’t bother a man of my calibre in the least.

I realised that I’d bought several packets of pickled onion crisps. Cause I’d forgotten that I’d ordered the Marmite crisps. I may have to live on them for a few weeks… along with the Cheesy Curls…
But no, to my amazement, they had delivered so many of the items that they had not had in for ages, I ordered two of them or another variety… they fooled me and only had one item not available.

I  restocked the Carers and Nurses shelf.

Hohoho! Just look at the new biscuits they had in stock!.

Galaxy Chocolate digestives – Bootiful!
Maryland Cookies – Caramelised! Great!

A sliced Farmhouse loaf!!!

Very Nice!

Well, a nicely stocked fridge & Freezer now!

I am a glutton!

To say how busy I was all day…

Thus not concentrating on drinking, I was pleased with the
urine flow. Although in the evening, it did get a bit bloody.

Just after midday, a shot of the Sherwood housing.

Then things got busy and went pear-shaped after Carer Kara, Sarah or Samantha visited to see me…
Sister Jane rang, and we had a nice gossip.
Nurse Christina called to say she would be coming tomorrow to take the INR blood test for me.
Esther called to see how I was. Bit unfortunate in the timing cause just as I caught the damned catheter tube again, Argh! And the blood flowed as she rang, so I could not concentrate properly on what she was saying.
Then a belated Amazon delivery arrived, washing soda.
Then…

acci-whoop

It was getting late, and my eyes were as usual, getting increasingly blurred; I think I must have hit the wrong combination of keys, and CorelDraw froze on me!  I lost all the work I’d just done as I was about to save them to file. Grrr!
I had to force close things and restart the computer. With fingers crossed that all the photos of the sunset and the day’s happenings would still be on CorelDraw – HA! No chance! I booted and opened CorelDraw, and ALL THE WORK I’d done over the last three hours HAD BEEN LOST!
Not only did I have to do it all again, but the file had to be name changed, and I lost over an hour trying to find the original to do so!

Not going too well at the moment!

Carer Charley arrived, and we laughed and nattered for a short while, which cheered me up a smidgeon.

I took the above picture while waiting for the kettle to boil.

This below is the last day photo I’d taken and forgot to put on earlier.

You can see the sunset getting ready to appear at the bottom.
And Bootiful it was when it came.

I had another bash at this blog, then got myself something to eat.
A reet treat, too!

Well, apart from the soggy tomatoes and not nice
Kenyan peas and slightly tasteless potatoes,
The imitation pork & strawberry cheesecake
were fine. Taste-Rating: 6.2/10.

Arrived. Got the
and the medications are given. We put the world to right during our three-minute chinwag. (We brought back hanging, 20-year minimum sentences for anyone who kills anyone with a vehicle, Escooters, or bike) Made a life term to be a life term for murderers, and got rid of all the Parole Boards, and sentenced everyone involved in freeing a convicted killer to murder again to life imprisonment on bread & water, with no visitors and no medical treatment. Made cannabis legal, unless when driving. Brought down the cost of Vodka for Richard, and Marmite Crisps for me. Well, that was a fine start. Now we have to form a political Party.
Hehehe!

This very Sunday, my worst ever Weariness-Willy attack… much worse than yesterday, had me sleeping on and off, not getting much done at all, for an estimated total comprising of; Finally got the meal last night… no, this morning, finished, and flopped down on the c1966, £300, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner, round 04:20hrs.
I was up again at 04:20hrs, adjusting the long tube on the beloved , to get enough freedom from the bleeding and pain to get myself to the wet room to tackle the job properly.
You will appreciate that this farce was a severe challenge to my temper-keeping and pain-bearing levels. With Metal Mickey, the walking stick in one hand, and the and elongated tube was a dicey business. But cleaning up the blood, washing the tender areas, and trying to put the Savlon Cream on little Inchie without catching the inserted tube – (Which I did a few times – I naturally merely laughed off the agony & paid off!) Then the Germoloids Ointment was applied to the rear-end quarters. After washing and drying the bum and legs as best, I could, with just one hand available to use… And I was feeling so ruddy tired and irritable! And had started off!

Arrived as I was masking a brew of tea. My only aim was to get my head down at long last. Jozeph removed the night pouch, gave me the medications, and we had a minute or two chatting. He checked the taps and stove and took the waste bag with him.

I took a photo of the morning view…

While I made a fresh mug of tea.

Then about 07:00hrs, it was back into the £300 second-hand shop bought nine years ago, c1966, discomfiting, alarmingly beige-coloured, crumb-containing, TV remote hiding, not working recliner.

Could I get the straps in a comfortable position on the right leg? No!

A bit tight…
That’s better methought…
Ah, you fool Inchie!
The pouch had filled.
So, up again and to the bucket to empty it...

The urine looked nice and light yellow.

Resettled onto the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner.

The body let me slip into the oblivion of deep sleep…
But the dreaming started again.
Then, waking up every five or ten minutes with a jump or jerk!At around 11:15hrs, arrived.

Back off to sleep without any problems; staying asleep was the problem!

I gave up trying around 15:00hrs and got on with starting yesterday’s blog worked on. It took me until Gawd knows when to get done. Hours!

Did the ablutions. Made a brew.

And had my dinner. A pot of porridge… Why only a pot of porridge?
Cause I: was still so tired, and after eating the feast, I went to make sure that the slow cooker had been turned off.

Arrived, woke me up and got the medications sorted.

I was unbelievably tired again… Zzzz!

I had to get up yet again; to empty the pouch.

The sleep would not return this time. I think I was just too overtired… if that makes any sense? So, back onto the computer. But Concentration Konrad had done a runner, and of all things, the danged returned to haunt and hurt me… as well as make any more sleep impossible.

Carer Richard Came in. We had a minute or two natters after he did the medications; he was in a rush, methinks. Nice to see him again. I asked how he was. Cause he was quieter than usual. His Diabetic insulin level was all over the place. I hope it levels for him soon.

After Richard had gone, it was back to errors, mistakes, and some short but persistent Dizzy Dennis visits for an hour or two. Later, early hours of the morning, I did try to take some photos from the computer chair.
I could see my reflection coming back off of the outer glass, so tried to do a wave to you in the frame and capture it…
.
The first one wasn’t good…
So I tried again with the flash on…

.
Another failure!
.
I tried a third time…
Got a third failure.
But at least you make out a terrible
outline of my hand wave and head…
You can borrow my spyglass if you like?
Hehehe!

Argh!

The blood is back in the bladder again!

.

Still, it’s not as deep a red as it was last week.

Well, hardly worth me trying to get any sleep now. Nearly 05:00hrs. The morning Carer is due twixt 0600-0745hrs.
I’ll turn off the computer, and unlock the door, then have a pot of noodles.
And try to get some sleep.

It is now Sunday morning at 01:35hrs. I’ve had a bad day with the concentration, mind-blanks, a tumble, and the mind has not been my own.
Worrying, which comes oh, so easily nowadays, has played a big part in my Saturday sadly-sinking morale. The arrival of the 2nd food order in two days brought on feelings of guilt and shame. Shame that I cannot seem to be logical about anything at all.
This afternoon, when I made a snack and was washing up the few pots used, Weariness-Willy walloped me. I could do nothing but get sat down and drifted into a deep sleep that even the daymares did not spoil – for while dreaming… the usual, distorted things from the early years, somehow I knew I was dreaming and was pleased that I was sleeping. Had Doreen’s Dementia played any part in this catastrophically depressing, mind-wandering Samstag?

First photo of the day. Followed later…
By three more.
