Wed 26 Aug 15: Inchcock Today – Scoffing away eating like… well I don’t know, but he’s eating far too much Tsk!

The field this morning in the rain

0345hrs: Woke gently for once. Lay there a few seconds and made some notes of the dreams I could remember having, then the urgent and sudden demands of the bladder beckoned and I struggled up and hobbled to the bathroom – which is where I realised that the new jammy-bottoms did not have a hole in the front if yer know worra mean! Huh!

Cuppa and medications taken.

Laptop on, finished yesterdays diary posted it.

Noticed the notes about the dreams I scribbled – but my writing was hard to decipher. It seems I was with several folk and we were dancing in a fashion, somewhere on the deck of a boat… a lot of activity of an intimate nature was being enjoyed by all – then damn it I moved into a different scenario. I was being pummelled from above by folk one at a time who were queuing to hit me with various articles thrown down through a man-hole above, and a voice would shout out a score each time they clobbered me, accompanied with a trumpet fanfare and falling twinkling broken Christmas baubles?

Went on Facebook to cheer myself up as I felt a depression coming on after I’d thought of how things were not moving with sorting the old place out.

Back to the bathroom – the haemorrhoids were not so bad and bled a lot less this morning. The worst are Anne Gyna and Arthur Itis. The reflux valve that can cause bother quickly from nowhere is nice and calm at the moment. I said the worst is Anne Gyna and Arthur Itis, but I think I was wrong – sudden depression is the worst.

I started the graphics for a blog for LOMM about Dunc and my efforts at erecting the clothe-racks, as Dunc suggested.

Took me a few hours to get the graphics done on Coreldraw X7 before starting the actual writing of the blog, and I didn’t know why I was doing them really in the state me mind was in. Foolish childish escapism perhaps? (Sounds about right to me).

LyzXmasSpent three hours doing one graphic, but it was a hard one and it came out fairish, so I was sort of pleased with it, and I do enjoy doing them.

This cheered me up a bit.

Must phone Steve from Age UK, the missing man who doesn’t reply when I phone him – I think I’ll do a text message instead – begging him for help with getting the house sorted and putting it on the market.

Here goes, I love wasting me time…

Had a good soak in’t bath. Got missen looking half decent and set off to take the letters to the Flats Community Shed – got as far as the lift, then returned to the flat to pick up me camera making sure I’d got me DSIM card this time.

Off to the shed, and had a natter with the gals there, forgot to drop off the letters – hey-ho.

Had a walk through the park into Sherwood and called at Sue Ryder shop, they had no beds in, but did have some of the large Ottermans in, but only two and I wanted four to finish of the bedroom – all bar having no bed that is like.

Caught the bus into Arnold and had a wander around there.

IMG_0116

Dark skies and closed down shops in Arnold

Even more shops had closed-down now.

It’s not fair on the shoplifters yer know!

The fag and Alcoholics cheapo shop had closed too!

It’s not fair on the unemployed yer know!

Walked to Fultons to see if they had any of the cheapo-but-nice blackcurrant lollies in, no luck.

Walked out to Sainsburys with a view to catching the last L9 bus back to the flats after shopping, cause there is a stop outside their garage, well filling station.

In the middle of me shopping, Steve from Age UK rang, he’ll meet me tomorrow at 1400hrs at the old house to have a look at what needs doing next in the plan to sell the house when I get it ready like! We’ll see if there isn’t a meeting that runs late that prevents this happening.

IMG_0118

Outside Sainsburys waiting fer bus

I over spent again, nothing new there then: Got some of the beautiful Anya potatoes to boil, bread thins, tomatoes, lemon cheesecakes and… oh dear, and this as dear too – Cornish Clotted Cream! The shame of having a weak will-power will be my undoing yer know!

Got to the bus stop and waited in plenty of time for the bus to arrive, I thought I was about 5 minutes early for it, got there at 10 past it was due 15 past.

IMG_0119

I stayed awake on the bus – Yes!

No sign of the bus after what must have been ten minutes, so I looked up the times on the time-table in me pocket… then checked the time on me mobile – it was 14 minutes past – how I made such a cock-up I don’t know. but I got it alright and enjoyed the ride through the housing estates of Nottingham en-route back to the flats.

IMG_0120

Naughty Cornish Clotted Cream for afters – guilt ridden I am now, guilt ridden!

Back on the main roads again and I was soon back in the flat getting me spuds on the boil and me Fisherman’s Pie in’t oven.

Had some of the nobbly long special nutty flavoured potatoes boiled, the fish pie, sprinkled with cheese and singed a bit on purpose, beetroot and apple – followed naughtily by lemon cheescake and some of the Cornish Clotted Cream! Marvellous, but the pie let me down, very much lacking in taste! Humpf!

Still I give it 8/10 just fer the potatoes.

Devoured it and got the laptop on to update this diary.

Took me medications.

Read some of me book and actually ate some of the fancy potatoes I’d done extra to have tomorrow? Why am I eating so much lately – I’m like a pig lately?

I must try to remember to ask Patti Berkert for some more photo’s of her art-work so I can make another graphicalisation for her talents. These are the two I’ve done with photo’s of her actual art pieces. Brilliant aren’t they, I’m so proud of the gal – oh, second thoughts, I’ll not ask her yet, cause she’ll be busy arranging her trip to Brazil.

AngBThis is one wot I dun is of Angie, the Kentucky Angel.

She is a treasure too. Copes with so many ailments and problems but still finds enough energy to plan of building a giant canoe so she can come and visit little me. (I’m planning on building a kayak for a return visit). Angies and Patti’s senses of humour are so precious to me.

The arthritis and angina are back again after giving me a break earlier, so I’m going to get me head down early methinks.

That’s the plan anyway, hehehe!

TTFN I hope!

Fri 21 Aug 2015: Inchcock Today – Busy, battered and bleeding. Hehe!

Friday 21st August 2015

01topa2

0315hrs: Woke in a confused condition for a few seconds – actually thought i was in a hospital bed and not on the floor on a quilt? Maybe summat I dreamt about caused this?

When I moved to get up the knees, angina and wounded patella complained. Hehe!  It took me a while, but I managed to get on me feet, unsteadily though at this stage. Must take me walking stick with me today.

Visited the porcelain where I was mucho pleased to find that ‘Little Inchy’ had only bled a tiny  bit, and the haemorrhoids not at all. And the duodenal ulcer is quiet too. Great!

The effects of yesterdays Whoopsiedangleplop and dizzies were lingering and I took me time when going around the flat – I did feel a twit when I found myself using me grab-stick to pick-up me medication pot that I dropped – Arthur Itis is outstaying his welcome in me knees and fingers, and I’m struggling to type this dairy. Even nearly dropped me cuppa – then as I took me medications – and this is weird even fer me: I dropped a blood-release tablet as was putting it in me mouth – despite searching, I never saw it again? Haha!

Made another cuppa cause the first went cold while I was doing me failed search for the dropped Pentoxifylline tablet – came back to the laptop, pulled the chair a little closer to the rare 1967 G-plan scratch-touched-up sideboard and clouted me wound on the right leg on the shelf – Off course I did not swear, curse, howl-out or owt like that. WPlie

Then I went again to the porcelain and noticed me walking stick was not hanging in the hall of the peg? Then ensued the preposterous and farcical search of the flat for it… this forgetting and losing things is getting a bit much lately!

Eventually I found it hanging on the living room door handle – but of course thanks to United Carpets professional work fitting me carpets, the door will not

01topa IMG_0088close to now in the living room or bedroom, and incidentally Paul the painter has left his trade-mark streaks of paint on the edges of all the doors. How am I supposed to get them off?

I’ve lost missen now… where was I?

Oh well ,never mind.

Another cuppa went cold during me marathon mind-teasing search for me stick, so I made yet another one.

Finished yesterday’s diary and got it posted.

Did some comment replies then Facebooking.

Got into Corel and did a graphic fer SOZ.

Had a good wash shave and then had a cuppaanda pot of porridge. Put some lemon juice in the oats this time.

Then while still awaiting the arrival of BJ, I got the manual for the TV out to see how and what the remote control buttons were used for. But the remote they had left me was different to the one in the manual. Went on the web but could not find this one, or any guides for the buttons?

Still no BJ at 1010hrs, so I made another cuppa.

Still no BJ at 1025hrs, so I started to sort some paperwork.

Still no BJ at 1048hrs, so I cleaned the toilet bowl.

Still no BJ at 1102hrs, so I made a list of things I might look at later… if BJ arrives… He’s picking up the parcel for me from the Post Office on the way, said he’d ring me when he was leaving like. I’ll check to see if I have a missed call on’t mobile… Oh, yes I’d missed from from BJ – rang him back but no answer – wot a twit I is!

Still no BJ at 1110hrs, so I got the laptop back on and updated this diary. Then he rang back – running late will be here later, twenty minute/half-an-hour or so he says. That’ll be the day, nice chap as he is to me, he’s never been on time ever. Hehe!

Still no BJ at 1128hrs, so put me wrist-alarm safe in the centre-drawer in me 1967 G-plan sideboard – I mention this so I can remind missen later when I read it missen!

Still no BJ at 1145hrs, so carried on doing graphics fer a bit.

Still no BJ at 1210hrs, so washed me cup and had a go on Tetris game.

BJ arrived at 1320hrs bless his cotton socks. Met him outside and he took meto the Ikea store.

Gawd it’s a large complicated place – and with too many items that suited me needs – another fortune spent by the time we’d finished. BJ said we were in the gigantic shop for well over two hours!

IMG_0089I ended up getting two storage bins suitable for some clothes in the bedroom, Two clothe rails… no three clothe rails, and two washable Tofto carpets, one for the side of the bath and the other for round the WC.

Oh, and also a Gurli throw for the leather chair – and – an electric screwdriver so I can make a mess of assembling the clothe rails, (That should be fun with my lack of DIY skills?) when I can get the time like.

We were both well shattered by the time we got out. BJ got a couple of items for himself, and I said I’d pay for them for him as thanks for running me about. He refused and would only take a £5 note.

IMG_0090BJ ran me back to the flat and we unloaded the pile of goods outside the reception door, along with the parcel from America that he had collected earlier for me from the Post Office that I had to pay VAT and Import Duty on! It was from Lyzzi, a valued cuddly cyber-friend in the States.

She’d read in me diary that I was short of towels and she said she had some over from her move to a new house and would send them to me.

BJ went to park the car and have  fag – and we were both fagged out. Hehe!

I managed somehow to get all the things to the lift and BJ rang from the car: “Could I manage to get the things up to the flat cause he was shattered” – I thanked him and said I could, and he shot off home to get some rest.

IMG_0093After a bit of a battle, I got all the stuff up and into the flat and opened the box that Lyzzi had posted to me.

Just look at the stuff she’d sent. I must send her an email in thanks – don’t know if I’ve got her address though? I’ll send her thanks on Facebook methinks.

IMG_0091I moved the other things into the bedroom and made a up of tea and nearly fell asleep.

Read the leaflet with the screwdriver and it’s one that you throw away when the battery has stopped charging and dies?

I took me medications and got the laptop on.

Anne Gyna was still a bit bothersome, but the knees were a lot easier than yesterday after me last Whoopsiedangleplop.

So weary though now.

Got me nosh cooking. Veg sausages, onion rings and pork loin with bread thins, barbecue sauce and followed by a pot of blackcurrant sugar-free jelly.

Enjoyed it, then fell victim to fatigue and got me head down. So much to do again now, and not feeling up to it, very late for me now, see how I feel in the morning.

TTFN folks, and all the best wishes for yers.

Thu 20 Aug 2015: Inchcock Today – Mega Whoopsiedangleplop!

Thursday 20th August 2015

IMG_0086

This morning before me mega “Whoopsiedangleplop”

0330hrs: Woke in s sweat and panicky – memories of the dreams dissipated as soon as I thought of them.

Morrison’s delivery this morning.

Made cuppa, laptop on started this diary off. Still feeling weary from yesterdays efforts.

WC’d. ‘Little Inchy’ had been bleeding, Reflux Roy was sticking again, Arthur Itis continued his recent complaining in me knees, Harry Hernia was upset at all the bending and lifting yesterday I assume, even Duodenal David had started to give me some grief. Then I had a Donald-dizzy-spell and nearly went over – bad start to the day here methinks.

When I was doing some Facebooking I had another dizzy – but they did seem a bit different to the normal ones. Breathing a bit heavy too? I wondered if the fumes from the wood treatment bottle had got to me, but there is no warnings on the label – I know, Cause I found me magnifying glass and read the label.

Did some Facebooking and email checking, then some graphicalisationing.

Had a cuppa (Dodgy that, with having had to visit the porcelain five times already this morning) and took me medications. Oh dear.

Tried to clean between the units in the kitchen, but the pains lingering from yesterdays efforts made me stop and leave until later.

Morrison delivery came and I put it away – in its new places once I remembered where everything had been stored in. Haha!

While putting them away BJ rang – he’s back from his holiday and I’m glad to report he really enjoyed them!

He is going to take me the old place to pick some stuff up, bless him. He’ll ring me when he’s about to leave his house.

Made sure I’d got me mobile on me and camera in coat pocket.

Updated this to here, and awaited his call.

BJ rand, on his way. So I got missen ready and went down and walked to the end of the road and met him in his new pap-pap. (Well, new in as far as his old one conked-out like).

Not feeling too good still. We arrived at the dump and BJ helped me pick some stuff to take to the flat and filled his boot with it – well the car boot with it, not his boot like, any-road he was wearing shoes… Hehhehe!

I was struggling with the stairs as me left knee was really painful, and it wasn’t just Arthur Itis I could tell, it were a different pain – must have strained it or summat yesterday with all that up and down grafting away?

We returned with the many bagfuls and BJ helped me up to the flat with em. I had a dizzy in the lift as we were having a natter with to another tenant lady who lived on floor 11.

We got the stuff into the bedroom ready for sorting, but I didn’t feel up to it today.

I’d had a note from Parcel Force, they had tried to deliver the parcel they’d charged me nearly £50 in VAT and import duty for – I could collect it from Sherwood Post office after 1600hrs.

BJ went on the balcony for a fag and make a telephone call.

That was when the mega-Whoopsiedangleplop took place!

I had a dizzy-spell again just as I was bending down to move the chair – and went over in an unsightly and undignified manner onto the floor, bouncing off the chair then waste-bin en-route to the carpet!

BJ put a bandage on me bleeding right knee! That’s go well with me haemorrhoids and ‘Little Inchy’ – Phwert!

BJ shot off saying “I’ll would be back in t’morning and we can go to Ikea to see if they have anything as suitable for the bedroom instead of wardrobes.

Mad a cuppa and updated this diary, feeling better now.

Decided to walk to the Community shed with Margaret’s last batch of letters.

Has bit of dizzy as I got ready, so I took me walking stick with me – after searching for 40 minutes to find me wrist alarm – nowhere to be found!

Deana and the Obergruppenfurher were both there, I gave em some nibble, had a chin-wag and got told off for loosing me bracelet alarm.

I returned to the flat still feeling ‘Not Right’ like.

Made a cuppa and took me evening medications.

DSCF0305

Made me nosh: Boiled potatoes cubed and seasoned, last tomato, cheesey sliced potatoes, lettuce & raw cabbage and a whopping great piece of battered cod. The usual bread thins too.

I have to give this one 8.42/010, cause despite feeling rotten I still enjoyed it so much.

Managed a bath without slipping over, but it was agony gerrin in and out like.

Had a search fer the wrist-alarm without any luck – nipped back into the bathroom to clear and clean it and wallah! – There was the wrist-alarm slung over a bottle of antiseptic disinfectant!

Did an email to let Deana Walker know I’d found it – Tsk, whatever will she think of me – Tut!

Got me head down in hopes of gerrin’ some sleep and peace.

Worra-life eh? Tsk!

Wed 19 Aug 2015: Inchcock Today – Started well, to mediocre, to not good, to bolognaise!

Wednesday 18th August 2015

01topa2

0235hrs: Woke with immediate panic attack about what needs doing and guilt at the old place not getting done.

Set about finishing sorting the front room to clear it so the sideboard can go in when delivered later today – assuming that is if it will go through the doors. The cabinet is small so will be no problem.

Then I moved all the clothes from the pegs on the hallway wall, and laid them in the bedroom – where of course, there is no bed yet to get in the way. Huh!

IMG_00670410hrs: Laptop on, cuppa and medications taken.

Popped to the bathroom to visit the porcelain and decided to have a wash and shave at the same time like.

Reflux valve sticking again, cough still with me, hands not too bad at all, Anne Gyna just getting going, and the skin cancer wound was getting so very itchy again.

Returned to the kitchen and made another cuppa.

Finished off yesterdays diary and got it posted.

Did some prep work on Coreldraw for a project I’m working on.

IMG_0068The J Lewis chaps arrived with the TV and storage bins. Unfortunately the bins need putting together – hope to get on with that soon before me fingers start playing up… well, before Arthur Itis starts playing up.

One of the chappies asked if I had me coax cable he could use – I told him no one at the shop told me I needed one when I bought the TV, and as it was 30 years since I last owned a TV set I did not have a cable.

Very sportingly he told me had an old one in the van, and he went down and collected it to use. Jolly decent of him. They even took away the packaging for me.

I have now to get an electrical extension plug thingy though, as the TV would not reach to where I wanted it to go… when I get some furniture in like. Huh!

So I did me Morrison’s order earlier than planned and ordered one with me groceries for delivery tomorrow.

01topaYesterday when me Warfarin INR level results came back and were so close to the target, the hospital haematology put 7th September as me next blood session, I emailed them asking for an appointment on Monday 7th September.

0101cGot an email back today with an appointment for Thursday 7th September. Initially this confued me a bit and I thought I’d made a Whoopsiedangleplop again – after checking the calendar I realised it was the surgery that had made the error. I emailed them back and the returned one apologising. I just hope it wasn’t 0101bthe Obergruppenfurher that made the error cause if she was me next time I’m in for an ear-full. Oh dear Yes!

The Sue Ryder delivery volunteers arrived with me old ‘1960’s G-Plan’ sideboard (It’s printed on the inside of the drawers!) and the VHS video cabinet.

They kindly placed it where I wanted and suggested I use the top of the VHS cabinet for me phone, Alert alarm and TV for now – so I did.

After a few hours the room looked like his below.

Meds02

0101dI considered having a look at sorting out how the hoover works first, but instead I got battling to assemble the storage boxes instead.

The time was racing by I but I pressed on.

It took me a lot of bad language and hours to get them assembled.

0101aUsed most of them in the kitchen, not a pretty sight, but sensible to keep me things and practical I thought like if yer know worra mean.

Of course I may change things round later I suppose.

Then the brainwave hit me!

I’ll go to Wilkinson’s in Sherwood to get some wood dye/restorer to cover or hide the scratches on the sideboard.

I can drop off the letters delivered for the previous tenant Margaret at the Community Hut on the way.

She was a popular girl won’t she. Also take some bits to the Nottingham Hospice charity shop and see if they had coaster for sale.

I got a letter from Parcel Force – demanding £38.58 – that’s Import Duty £30.58 plus VAT clearance fee of £8.00! Argh! I’ll get on the web later to try and sort it out.

0101

How long are remotes getting nowadays?

Obergruppenfurher Julie was in and I gave her a choice of nibbles and the letters – she asked  if the caretaker Robert had delivered the writing bureau yet? I said no and she arranged for it to be delivered this afternoon.

Off on a walk into Sherwood and called into the Hospice shop with me bits for em. Forgot to ask if they had any coasters of course.

Out and into Wilkinsons, where I forgot all about having ordered the electric extension for tomorrow from Morrison’s and bought one there, but it had on/off switches for all four sockets on it that I thought was good. I ended up getting his and a bottle of ‘scratch cover’ and a wax wood polish spray.

Thoroughly wee’d off with me spending again, I crossed over and had a look in the Sue Ryder Charity shop to see if the had found me bendable duster that I lost yesterday – but they had not, so I bought another one. Tsk!

With all the spending I managed to resist going into the Co-op to get some more of the delicious beetroot and apple bloomers.

IMG_0078Caught the bus back to the flats and got in and set about ‘doing up’ the scratches.

IMG_0083

The bureau goes well with Duncan’s swivel-char that he brought fer me, now I’ve dyed it like!

Caretaker, ‘I don’t charge enough yer know’ Robert arrived later with the writing bureau, and I gave him some DVD’s for his bother, I think he was expecting some cash judging by the expression on his face. Tsk!

I got on the web to see if the parcel of towels that Lyzzi from TFZ said she would kindly send me for the new flat. Bet she didn’t know they would charge me all this eh? Swines!

0101e

This is Greedy surely?

I just hope they do deliver the parcel after Lyzzi has kindly gone to all that trouble to help me out…  £38.58! Christ have I not spent enough this week! Really fed-up now! Bloody Post Office!

Still the parcel should be on the way tomorrow it said… but we’ll see eh?

Did a bit of staining on the bureau… well i did it all, not much left in the bottle now.

So tired now. Put the TV on to try it for a few minutes – Crap! The picture keeps pixelating – so I’ll have to buy a signal-power booster now – really wee’d off again now!

IMG_0084This is the front room at the moment, as far as I’ve got. I’ve already moved the telephone onto the sideboard and Virgin internet box onto the floor, cause they didn’t look to firmly based. I’m glad I’ve got the laptop out of the kitchen at last.

Got me diced potatoes in the oven and me seasoned beans in the pan, bread out ready and me pork loin cut up on the dish ready.

Finished updating this diary and felt morose after all the spending today again… I say AGAIN! Hehehe!

Had nosh and managed to stay awake long enough to have a good nosh but it didn’t cheer me up, still low after feeling so good earlier. Cobbleknotrots!

IMG_0085Did some Facebooking until me eyes were closing in there own.

Morrison’s delivery int morning 0800>0900hrs.

ust call to see if BJ is back from holiday yet, i think he’s got another week though. Hope he’s enjoying it in Ireland, he usually does bless him.

TTFN.

Mon 10 Aug 2015: Inchcock Today – Utter Mayhem

Monday 10th August 2015

0707a

0415hrs: Woke with a start and got straight up knowing I had a lot of hassle and work on today – not a good idea, cause I had a dizzy as I gorrup… Tsk!

I’d got the kitchen area all cleared where they hopefully will be knocking out the units to get to foam fill the holes in the wall. Every-time a fitter comes to look at it they change their plans!

First they came to fix the air-vent – He decided it needed bricklayers to come and block up the holes – Next the bricklayer came and did nowt, having decided it needed a carpenter to come and take out the units cupboards and drawers and fill the holes with foam? He’s due today, and I’m getting nervous.

Then I have to go to the dentist appointment afterwards, and get some bread in on the way back.

Tomorrow it’s the turn of the carpet layer to scare me and lay me carpets – so all the stuff I’d moved out of the kitchen to make way for the carpenter has to be moved back into the kitchen along with all the other stuff in the flat to make room for the carpet fitter to do his damage.

The condemned kitchen window is being replaced next week, by then I have no idea of the mess I’ll be up to me neck in, and redecorating will be needed of course…

Then there is the old place to get sorted yet…

I’m not feeling well now, just thinking about it all… Tsk!

To the bathroom and boy were the haemorrhoids bleeding! Another mess to clean up.

DSCF0234

Brekkers today

Laptop on, cuppa and medications taken.

‘Little Inch swollen and throbbing, but only trickling with bleeding, still sore and painful though.

Bits of the dreams I’d had kept coming into me mind I couldn’t make much sense of them again, something involving big holes in the floor?

As time passed the angina and arthritis joined in playing up too.

Getting a bit worried about how I’m going to cope with things now.

Feeling sorry fer missen I suppose – can’t have that – must buck missen up somehow!

Got a new email from Angie that temporarily boosted me spirits, bless her and Patti and the TFZ members.

DSCF0235

My kitchen curtains… another job to sort! Huh!

Went and had a shave, teggies and brush-up, changed into some old togs thinking best to for when (IF) the hole gets filled in I’d have to clear up the mess afterwards – then remembered the dentist appointment and changed back into decent togs. Huh!

There are times that I excel myself and commit self-inflicted Whoopsiedangleplops – this is such an occasion!

DSCF0242It is not today for the Dentist – it’s tomorrow at 1415hrs!

Pressed on sorting paperwork out, selecting what needs keeping and shredding much of it, filled two of the small orange recycling carrier bags.

Then moved some stuff out of the kitchen into the living room to give the bloke more room like.

The Carpenter chappy arrived and i explained the problem to him – nice chap, sociable type – rare that.

DSCF0236He soon had the base unit out revealing the rather large hole in the kitchen wall that had been causing the problems with the wind ingress.

Rather large wonnit? The one at the top that they are not touching is even larger.

Bit of drilling, banging and sawing and DSCF0238within half an hour he was ready to replace the cabinet.

He assured me the foam would continue to expand and fill in the whole of the hole… eventually like.

Spur of the moment decision to catch the L9 Bus into town and get some bread and maybe treat missen to a cream cake.

I emailed Deana Walker to tell her the hole had successfully been blocked. Thanking her for sorting it out for me.

Got me bag, bus-pass and list and set off to catch the bus into town – wait for it…

I got on the wrong one.

So dropped off in Sherwood and caught a bus there into Arnold, Norman from the flats was on the bus L8 and caught the Arnold bus with me and we had a good chin-wag – then we both realised we’d caught the wrong bus into Arnold – so we dropped off early and I walked into Arnold. Tsk!

I called into Sainsburys and looked for some of the nobbly potatoes but they didn’t have any, so I got some bread thins, spiced chips and fresh garden peas.

DSCF0240Walked into Arnold and popped into Asda to see if they had any of the nobbly potatoes in – they hadn’t – so I got a fresh cream raspberry and cream turnover.

En-route another Nottingham Pavement cyclist nearly had me as he meandered wobbly along the pavement with his radio or whatever it was blaring out from his headphones.

DSCF0241Swine!

The Arnold Market looked sadder than I’ve ever seen it.

I cut through the jitty and to the L9 bus stop to get back to the flats.

I don’t know why, but again I kept nodding off on the bus? I always seem to do this on the L8 and L9 buses?

They are electric-powered, that shouldn’t affect me should it?

Got into the flat and put me nosh away.

Made a cuppa and laptop on to update this tosh.

DSCF0243

Remembered!

Had a walk down to the Community Hut (I’ll try to remember to take a photo of it) to hand in some more letters delivered for the previous tenant Margaret.

The shed was all locked up again.

Hey-ho!

Back to the flats and met a lady from the 8th floor visiting the lady in the flat next to mine. I gave her the ladies hair-brush with a mirror on the back that I’d got from the old house – for some reason. She liked it and that cheered me up a bit.

DSCF0244Got me nosh on – seasoned potatoes, two vegetarian sausages and crispy bacon and apple with the bread thins and sauce.

Rounded off with me fresh cream raspberry cake.

Great! Rated this one 8.6/10.

Then the horribly painful job of moving things into the bathroom and kitchen in readiness for the cowboy to fit me carpet tomorrow began.

0706

Took me hours to get what stuff I did manage – me back is playing up wicked now – and I didn’t get everything into the kitchen and bathroom, still need to finish off moving the remainder of the stuff in the morning.

Too tired and weary now.

Good Day to you from Inchcock

Good Day to you from Inchcock

While I find missen in a good mood (No idea why) I thought I’d wish everyone all the best and have a damned good day folks – if yer don’t mind like? I fang you!

Nature Camping & Hiking - Postcard - Large

A slightly more cheerful Inchcock this morning – before his visit to have his wound checked out and redressed – no telling how he’ll feel after that – poor old impecunious little harnless imp that he is – honestly!

Tue 9.6.2015: Inchcock Today – Still busy the Lad is

Tuesday 9th June 2015

What a night, waking every ten minutes, panicking about I don’t know what… Huh!

IMG_0079Up around 0500hrs, painful porcelain session. (Nowt new there then!)

The moon still visisble in the morning sky.

Made a cuppa and took me medications.

Laptop on to start this diary off. Made the header yesterday!

BJ calling to lift me and me bags of washing to the launderette later, good of him.

0534hrs the pigeons came down for their breakfast.

I’m feeling apprehensive and nervous this morning and don’t know why?

Getting the shakes doesn’t help.

Did some shredding.

BJ arrived 0815hrs and we were off to the launderette.

IMG_0080The cuddly big gal was on duty, her with the twinkling eyes and appealing bodily features that stir things in my anatomy that have not been socially activated in donkeys years!

(Shudder).

BJ went to the cafe for his IMG_0081beakfast.

When he returned to read his newspaper, he got a phone call with more bad news for him – it obviously upset the lad and ruined his day whatever it was.

I didn’t inquire what it was, if he feels he needs or wants to tell me he knows he can.

All finished we waved goodbye to the Polish gal (Sadly on my half) and we set of to Asda to get some shopping.

And what a clot I was. My intention was to get brad thins, tinned tomatoes and some herbs that I wanted to try out, Oregano and Basil.

IMG_0082By the time I got to the checkout, I had in me trolley:

2×6 Bread thins – Oregano – Basil – Milk – Hz Beans – Bleach – Dettol spray – Sausages – Bacon offcuts – Pickled beetroot – Pickled onion flavoured nibbles – Food containers and Spare Rib and BBQ flavoured IMG_0083pot noodles because they were on offer at 50p instead of £1.

I’m getting worried about me spending – yer can see why? No will-power when it comes to shopping lately. Tsk!

Instead of spending about £4, I spent £30.80!

Back to the flea-pit BJ ran me – I hope whatever is bothering him can be sorted-out.

Put me shopping away and marinated me tomatoes in a microwave dish with the new herbs Oregano and Basil with Himalayan rock salt and black pepper. Going to have bacon and sausage with it later.

Started the laptop and updated this bromidic tosh.

Did a bit of Fcebooking and WordPress readering.

IMG_0084Made me nosh. Rated it 7.8/10. Bacon misshapes, two microwave sausages in a can of chopped tomatoes seasoned with salt, black pepper, oregano and basil, with bread thins.

It might not look good, but it tasted good!

Got settled and had me medications.

Fell asleep for an hour and a half then  got this diary updated.

Read the instruction book for Serif Draw X6 – but I’m not any wiser now. Tut!

I had a pot BBQ pot-noodle… oh dear… the rear end is leaking blood again, better get it sorted.

TTFN all.

Further thoughts on Politicians

There’s not many that haven’t had an illicit love affair,

They are experts and tutored in spouting lies and hot air,

They dance around giving answers like Andy Capp or Fred Astaire,

Most Ministers have never worked, or known financial despair,

They fiddle expenses, get a pay rise of 9.6%, that’s so unfair,

They say the IPSA sets their salary now, they declare,

But they set the wage of IPSA of £40,400 per manager…yea?

And grant the IPSA expenses; of this the part-time IPSA are aware,

The rot set in with the crooked nihilistic, nepotistic Tony Blair.

Most are millionaires too, jealous… me? Now where’s me bus pass?

Cameron, and his cronies will never worry about the cost of gas,

Despite his cabinet consisting of a cruel men, an inertial mass,

PMs a group from superior stock, all unethical, bold as brass,

They are not caring, they are cruel, pitiless and crass.

_

They ought to hypnotised into being honest en mass,

They’ve taken away my few benefits, ‘cause I bought a pension,

Paid into it for fifty odd years, worse off now, makes you laugh,

It’s the weak they prey on, ignore, laugh at and harass!

Not for workers or pensioners, warmth, good food or an au pair,

I can’t afford a holiday or even the petrol or train fare,

No BUPA for me, just the ailing NHS hospital care,

The NHS staff are harangued and frustrated, but they really care,

MPs strut and pose, well fed, clothed, looking debonair,

While pensioners are struggling, broke, in utter despair,

They have their earnings from bribes and many an offshore share,

They sit in central heated offices, in their reclining chair,

Of others poverty, frustration and pain, they seem totally unaware!

Bless them. (Spit!)

Tue 19.5.15: Inchcock Today: Progress! Too late but still, Progress!

Tuesday 19th May 2015

I felt a bit like the sky this morning IMG_0266a, bit dark and unsettled, on edge, anxious.

Must do me best to get some sorting done again: I just hope BJ gets in touch. I think he rang last night but just ‘Private number’ shown on phone.

Must remember Wednesday the Age UK gentleman is calling and Thursday the evaluator from Spencer Courts is coming to interview and assess me for application to the flat.

The mind still swirling. The littlest setback criticalistion or failure and down I go. Sad state of affairs.

Even me BP readings looked dodgy to me this morning, I’ll ask the District Nurse when she comes to give me the needle, if she can have a look.

Sys 131, Dia 76, Pulse 99, Temp 34.6c?

Started this diary – had a washski and started to sort some paperwork out.

BJ rang again, this time on another phone that showed up – rang him back. His better half answered, BJ will call later to see me.

I think missing me walks and wanders is doing me no good, but just do not have the time with all these appointments to go on ’em – Sad!

So, Wednesday Age UK advisor coming – Thursday MRBHA assessor coming, Friday clinic, District nurses twice a day  for the next six days at least.

BJ called and I explained me situation come plight to him – he took me bags of washing to give Mandy at the launderette to do a service wash for me bless him. He said he would come this afternoon to take some of the bags away for me. What a mate!

Waiting for the nurse I updated this sad Tommy-rot. Whilst doing so the warm wet sensation came in me pants – Boggleplonkdamn! – Little Inch was bleeding again. Cleaned missen up and continued to wait for the nurse.

IMG_0003Nurses arrived and done me injections. We had a nice chin-wag for a bit.

I then searched totally without any success for me multi-point Sim card attachment for the laptop, the one I’d used  three hours ago! After over an hour of searching I gave up. Oh dear…

Updated this diary to here, then waited to hear from BJ.

BJ arrived, returned me done service-laundry (£15.99) and set too helping me sort the bags out, and he not only took bags to the bins, but lifted me to the computer shop, where they didn’t have any multi-card reader (shame) and then to the Nottingham Hospice shop with the bags, heater, TV and DVDs. Unfortunately, the lady said they cannot accept or sell TVs? So BJ ran us to the Sue Ryder shop and they accepted it.

Got a call from the nurses, the Anoxaparin was to be stopped – as me last INR test had improved. So nobody will be calling who I can have natter with – Huh!

IMG_0004Then back to the flea-pit and BJ spent hours helping me sort a corner out.

During which it suddenly hailed in bucketfuls.

By now I was done in physically but still wanted to get a multi-card reader to replace the one that had magically disappeared.

So when BJ left, saying he’s try to get here tomorrow afternoon and help some more, I thanked him and set off for the bus-stop to go into town and Jessop’s camera shop.

IMG_0005Damned decent chap is BJ.

One of the best, bless him.

As I waked along the hail that had fallen for a few minutes had turned into snow.

Down Church Drive over the pelican crossing and down to the bus-stop.

I soon caught a bus into the City Centre. Got off on Milton Street and walked on to cross the lights into Clumber Street.

IMG_0006The famous Nottinghomian’s again proving there determination to ignore the Walk Don’t walk lights at all costs.

I popped into the Jessop’s shop anf got the multi-card reader – same model as the one I lost.

It was getting late now and I was getting more tired than ever – but as I passed some noshery or other – the smell of the food made me hungry again.

IMG_0008When I got on the bus I took a photo of a building housing shops, and mighty fine workmanship and design too. Erected in 1901 the plaque said.

When I got off the bus in Carrington the smell from the Greek fish &chip shop even smelt nice… well, not as repugnant as it usually does like.

The rain began starting as I got to the flea-pit.

I cooked me nosh and made a cuppa.

IMG_0010Then ate me nosh – bet yer can’t guess what all the ingredients were from this photographicalisation wot I dun?

Clues?: American… root, toms, beet, leaves, two kind of pot’s?

I’m so glad to be eating again.

Did some Facebooking and got me head down – now to see if me mind let’s me sleep Hehe!

Wed 22.4.15: Inchcock Today – Flummoxed

Wednesday 22nd April 2015

Woke up and lay there trying to remember me dreams without success – and realised I was shaking all over – not like in the song!

IMG_0072Went down and made up me medication pots, then nipped out and fed the pigeons – .

Then made a cuppa and got the laptop on. Fatima & Fred brought the family with em today.

Still feeling ‘Wrong’ in missen today… hard to explain but I’ve been making many errors and forgetting more stuff than even I usually IMG_0071do – worrying this is.

The sky was what I call ‘yobbo encouraging’ style today – that is clear sunny (not hot due to the wind) – threatening outbreaks of antisocial behaviour and already the young apprentice yobs are milling about at the end of the street!

I remember last summer and the hassle these nerks gave me with threatening behaviour and mugging me.

a3I do not want to go through that lot again – maybe apprehension is getting to me about this?

Did me tests: BP Sys 147 Dia 82 Pulse 89 Temp 31.2

Started to create this diary – not easy when yer mind is not with yer but off on it’s own little tangent like, if you b6know what I mean?

The shaking steadied down nicely – so I got Corel Pro-paint started and tried to learn some of it’s features.

I’m going to do a post header and then try to make it look aged in Corel Paintshop Pro.

I do not hold out much hope and am prepared for my usual failure… but hey-ho, here I go.

Back soon to post the results… I hope!

TTFN.

I’ve just popped back on to show yer me rather sad results of the first effort here:

0100h

0100h3Original wot I dun like here first.

The aged supposed to look like an old newspaper photo but doesn’t really does it now?

0100h2Still. I’ll use this aged one fer the Diary header methinks.

My next project was to see how easy it was to add vector text to a photo – it wasn’t!

I shan’t be attempting this again.

Next task to find out how easy it is to add raster text to a picture.

Back in a bit when I gerrit dun like…

MikeCLRussiaNo easier than the old Coreldraw9, in fact both methods are more complicated – or is it that I’m more used to using the old Coreldraw method?

Maybe.

I took a break to ring sister Jane to see if she enjoyed their gallivanting off to Concert Hall to hear the Czech Philharmonic after going for a meal. She said they both enjoyed the meal and the concert. Although they nodded off once or twice. They are off to get the free fish and chips with the Nottingham Post’s vouchers, and then going to the Senior Reds meeting for a nosh and drinkies later today. I said they were always busy bless em.

Should have cheered me that news, but…

CLspiv3 CLspiv3a

Toyed with me Clive Danton Spiv photo wot I dun – applied Sepia to it and this is how it came out. Must send a copy to him in case he might use it in one of posts?

FramePPGot an email of support from Patti Bekert and Lynton Cox, they did brighten me up a bit.

Patti suggested I try St Johns Wort, so I’ll pop to the chemists in a bit to get some. Two genuine cyber-friends I don’t deserve but am so glad I’ve got!

I enjoyed doing the text for Patti’s photo, even though I couldn’t get the fill to change to wot I wanted it go to. Huh!

IMG_0073Had a wash and brush up and ventured out for a little wander down to the chemists.

No yobs about in fact not many people at all.

Got to chemists and the owner Deepak was in and very helpful he was too.

I asked the assistant about St Johns Wort Extract tablets and he came to me to explain about them.

They were £14.95 a pack of 60 so not too dear IMG_0081and I bought a box.

I asked if they would be okay to take with my other medications and he indicated it would be no problem at all.

I wondered down to the Lidl penitentiary and wondered round IMG_0074buying some biscuits and tinned mushrooms and left.

As I did I took a photograph of the sky and lack of people about.

I didn’t mind that – lack of people equals lack of yobs.

I plodded the roundabout route back to the concentration camp, feeling a little out of sorts and got the kettle on.

IMG_0075Made me nosh.

Bread Thins with thick sliced Sopocka sandwiches, tomatoes, small potatoes curried beans (Tesco brand, very mild) followed my an iced raspberry ice-cream lolly.

A slight change from me usual fair I know, but I ate it all this time, well nearly all of it.

Unfortunately while I was watching a DVD of All Creatures Great and Small I nodded off for a few hours.

Bit disoriented when I stirred.

Realised I’d missed me evening medications. Thought about it and took just one Warfarin tablet although they tell me not too if too late I just took the one instead of the dosage of three for today. Hope I’ve done right?

Took a Wort tablet too.

Despite the unplanned kip I still feel drowsy?

Did some graphic training – but the concentration no good, so turned to Facebooking for a while.
