♥ Brandy, Beef and Absynth… Worra gal! ♥

Zulu: NgoLwesihlanu Ngomhlaka 29 Januwari 2021

01:40hrs: I’d been waking up all through the night on and off, the actual sleep obtained might have been two-hours; in a few minutes here and there mode. My body clock told was on target as I shone the torch at the clock.
I began to fumble my way out of the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, sickeningly-beige-coloured, not-working, uncomfortable, rusty, rickety recliner, and as I was catching my balance, and eyeing up the distance to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket) I realised that I did not want, or need a wee-wee! Well, there’s a thing! It must be months since I’ve woken up and not had to go wee-weeing? Threw me out a bit at first. Hehehe!
Slightly non-plussed, I wandered into the kitchen and got the kettle on. Made a brew of Glengettie, and got the Health Checks gone. Things seemed all out of sync with me not
wee-weeing, somehow.
The blood pressure was taken on the Boots Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China. The SYS at 169.
The Chinese made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, sold by Amazon, gave a satisfactory reading of 36.7°c and showing in the green.
I took the morning medications, musing over whether I’d missed taking the Furesomide earlier, and that was why I didn’t need a leak?
I limped to the computer, got it booted up, and the innards insisted that I visit the Porcelain Throne, so I did! A delay in the actions starting again, so I had a go at the crossword puzzle that I was struggling with yesterday – I’m still struggling with it now. Hehe!
Constipation Kondrad was a winner this morning, he thrashed Trotsky Terence easily. I’ve missed the pain of passing torpedos lately, but they were back now. Gruellingly slow and butt-clenchingly hurtful! Then the main motion was followed by a wee-wee, that was of the RTV (Reluctant Tinkling Variety. It took that long, I had another crack at the crossword! Still didn’t get a single answer though!

The fetched the bucket emptied cleaned it and sanitised contact areas in the wet room. Back to the main junk room, I thought how cold it was, then realised I’d got the new so-called, Warm & Comfortable lounge pants that were delivered yesterday, on. I was not impressed.
I got the updating of the Thursday diary completed. The ailments were not too bad to me at all! Posted it off, and sent the email link. Then onto Facebook catching-up. Visited the WordPress Reader Section, and realised as I went to make a brew, all that work and time, and no more wee-
weeing? Something amiss here?
I made the brew, taking this kitchen view photograph as the light was just beginning to break the darkness. I checked the incoming Emails, mostly unsolicited.
Found the Coronavirus local figures, new cases down a bit more, but they are still coming, so let’s hope for the bestest!
Time to get the ablutions sorted out. Off to the wet room.
Blooming marvellous session! From going in, to coming out, I had only seven dropsies! Yes! And, there was nae bother with the teeth-cleaning. Just one cut shaving! Fair enough the showering let me down a bit; one clout of the head when I dropped the loofah, and a toe-stubbing against the trolley wheel. Nasty one!
However, overall, a smashing session! Smug-Mode Adopted!
I’d accrued some new pot-marks and spots again, though, to join the one on the head yesterday. Tsk!

I got the waste bags made up and added them to the ones already in the bag on the walker-guide. And off to the waste-room.
A deliveryman was taking a new cooker into one of the flats at the other end of the lobby. I got into the chute room and deposited the many bags down the funnel. Injury and Accifauxpas free, too!
Back to the apartment, and went on CorelDraw to try and make a few graphics up for the upcoming templates. Still, unfortunately, at this time, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters started to fail and return. Still, I got a few done, took me far to many hours, though.
I was feeling a little drained mentally already today. Not Good! Decided to have a read of the NCH Magazine.

This did not last long, due to my nodding off, and having a dream I could have done very well without suffering… Hehehe! Taken from notes scribbled when I woke up, not many actual memories. So some are as confusing to me as well. Still, I thought worth mentioning for the reminders’ humour content: I was in heaven in a massive queue of applicants at St Peter’s gate…
All dressed in white – People in pink arrived, with facemasks on… they were those not killed by the Coronavirus and were separated and sent down different passages…
I was taken in a blue bubble – and told because I was not in the EU at the time of my demise, I’d have to pay a surcharge to get into Heaven – then they put my life on a monitor screen, gave me a button, and told me to press it each time I felt I’d done anything that I think would have please the Lord, left me to it … The monitor exploded, and it reminded me of when the beef pastie blew-up the other day…
I was in a giant pie, slowly cooking, I could smell the chilli… As the flesh began to melt and fall off of the bones, oddly not bothering me… I woke up in a hospital bed of sorts, but I was chained in it, and electrified barbed-wire circled the cubicle? At the end of the ward, a nurse was sat behind a machine gun next, covering us all.
That is all I could decipher from my scribbled notes. (I had to guess at some words) It really annoyed me that I could not decipher the last sentence on the notepad. Humph!
I woke, in need of a rare-today, wee-wee.
Wrote the notes, and had a weak-unwilling wee-wee.
I noticed how cold the new Amazon sold lounge pants were. I was a little disappointed. Be fine for Summer, I suppose, but not February. Brrr! I bought these because they said Soft & Warm. Fibbers!

I discerned that the model they used had remarkable similarities to my physical attributes. (Ahem!) The only slight differences being; He is taller, younger, more muscular, flat-bellied, had hair on his head and chest, and was more attractive to women.
I got the meal prepp
ed and served up—a little better this time. The minced beef was not so fatty. The meatballs were grand tasting, the potatoes okay, the last of the leeks and onion were tasty enough. I got the chilli-flavouring right for once, too. I defrosted the wholemeal deli rolls from the freezer to soak the gravy up, they were decent enough—flavour rating: 7/10.
Washed the saucepan and slow-cooker, and left the pots and cutlery to soak in the sink. Down in the recliner, and had the longest sleep, unfortunately, a broken-often one, that I’ve had for a while.
ZZZ!

00:15hrs: I woke to the smell of burnt food yesterday when the pastie exploded in the oven! Tsk!
and terminate my already limited saneness of mind? And they were arriving up the sink waste-pipe! No idea what caused the cloudiness and plug jumping out?
Got the Health Checks done. Pleased again with the temperature, it was in the green. Then got the Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer. It might be sneaking back up, but still. It’s been low for a few days now.
I had a bit of job with the handwashing. Turkish made Socks, Korean jammie-bottoms and the manufactured in Myanmar (Burmese), zip-up jacket.

I cleared the rubbish bags out of the box on the walker, to use it for the food coming without carrier bags from Sainsbury’s. (Without any bread too!)
chute.
The Sainsbury bloke came at 07:20hrs. He put the things in a box and a carrier for me, nice of him. At least there was no bread to get crushed, although he did manage to squash the cream cake, and break some pretzels for me. I’ve ordered some more from Morrisons for tomorrow – and of
course, I’m praying that the bread will come. I’m getting withdrawal symptoms here! Hahaha!
reason for me being sarcastic… Oh, yes, I can!
done now! I could not find the kettle Jenny had left me. Had I took it back to Jen’s? Had I put it down the waste chute? Oh, dearie me! I popped down with the treats bag, and I returned all confused with myself. I rang Jenny again, but am not sure what we agreed on or said.

the bin.
The snow started flaking again as I prepped the meal. The local lads were out with their sledges, folks walking their dogs in this view I took, took me back reminiscing. Was it really all those years ago when it was me out there, totally unbothered by the weather or health problems?
I served up the nosh! One of my best, and tastiest CCC’s ever! I’d added some potatoes with having no bread. It was a smidge too hot pepper-wise, but I really did enjoy this one, a reet-treat! Flavour Rating given was 9/10!

not gooey or messy at all. ☑ I washed and off to the kitchenette.
The BP machine showed another decent (for me) SYS reading of 159, DIA at 76, and Pulse as 81. Very similar to yesterday methinks, but of course, not sure. I’ve noticed that
The temperature reading was also a good one at 36.6°c.
I got on CorelDraw, I desperately need some more graphics doing for templates. No one called, messaged, rang the door buzzers or phoned me. I spent five hours doing CorelDrawing, and I got some success. But now the weariness is falling. Tea and took the midday medications.
Back on CorelDrawing, got a headache now again, damned computers!
No templates were done yet, of course, but that will be my mission in the morning. First thing, I have no choice, I’m out of them now.
Then got the basin on a tray, served up. Despite my cock-up with the cooking, this little feast went down wonderfully well!
I settled into the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, sickeningly-beige-coloured, not-working, uncomfortable, rusty, rickety recliner, and got the Heartbeat DVD on to watch. Years ago, I can remember when I was alive, getting home in a rush, from Tesco on a Friday night, to see these Heartbeat episodes. That was just before the Bailiffs came and emptied the house of everything. Then the police arrived, looking for Mother, who done another runner. Ah, memories!

Took the morning medications, and got the Health checks done. Started with the BP, on the Boots branded Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China. The SYS was acceptable at 159. The DIA at 70, and the PULSE a
reasonable 80, all looked fine, to me.
Had a wee-wee. Emailed the link, and read the YourArea Email Magazine. It looked like a sleety, wet, windy and cold couple of days coming up on the weather page. Shame! Not that it matters with me imprisoned in the flat of course. Tsk!
The latest Coronavavirus figures were easier to read this morning. The new cases had dropped by-19.4%. That was a little bit of encouragement.
The pictures to the right were on a page about the upcoming Storm Christoph. These were taken yesterday before the main storm arrives!
It was the DVT, Warfarin INR, test result sheets. It arrived yesterday, but I forgot about it, well you would do if it had dropped out of sight. Hehe! Great INR this time. Next test on 1st February. I was a little concerned about the dosages they had given me, not that it is up to me. But they seemed a bit high, 2½s and 3s? And a while until the next test. I hope it doesn’t get too high. Still, what the ‘eck!
I decided to get some nosh of some sort. I found a beef pastie in the fridge, I think it’s alright, it smells good. That and some tomatoes, mayhaps a packet of Frazzles with them, yes, that sounds okay. So I made it up, the innards are still stinging, and I’ve no idea why? The guts calmed down after I’d eaten?
Got the brekkers eaten. I took this photo with the camera balanced on my bulbous but wobbly belly while eating it! The breakfast, not the camera! Haha!
I got the handwashing washed rinsed, rung and hung. It cost me more time cleaning up where I’d spilt the soapy water all over. SSS had increased the severity of her attacks while I was doing the washing – then as I hung up the last item – she went all peaceful, and stopped bothering me now I was no longer an easy target… I’m losing it again here? Talking to the ailments! Well, I used some silent naughty words as well!
A glutton for punishment, I made up some waste bags, got them in the cardboard box on the walker, and got ready to go to the Waste-chute room.
and as I was depositing the small bags into the chute, I dropped one, I bent forward and down, using the trolley as support… and cracked my head on the iron chute cover on the way back up!
Inchcock’s Tips & Advice on gerrin’ o’der, fer Whippersnappers

I got my Myanmar, (Burmese) made zip-up jacket on. Changed into the reading glasses, had a weak wee-wee, washed my hands, and started the Health Checks. The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer reading was fine, at 36.6°c.
hands they’re just like ice ♫… Sorry about that, I got carried away!
I snapped this photograph of Chestnut Way’s car park in front of the building, below. Back to the computer, taking another weak-wee-wee en route, and back on the computer.
Back to CorelDrawing, and within a minute into working, and the door chimes rang out.

I gave up on computing, my hopes and plans destroyed! Ah, well, I turned off the computer and got some nosh sorted out. As I got the Ghilli-Con-Carne, red peppers and tomatoes in the saucepan, oh dearie me…

22:50hrs: Woke up wanting a wee-wee. (Nothing new there then!) The brain seemed to engage quicker than it normally does, and within seconds I was tugging dragging and humping my wobbly-bellied, oversized stomached body from the recliner, and got up, caught my balance, and visited the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). Only to find the complete opposite of yesterday morning.
I poddled off to wash my hands and other areas in need, then to the kitchen to get the kettle on. I took this snap of the now snow-free view from the can’t get at to wash, new thick-framed, dirty, light & view-blocking windows.

messy in the extreme!
Back onto the computer, and uploaded the photos from yesterday and this morning, to CorelDraw. Readied them for the blog, and opened WordPress. Made a start updating the Wednesday diary. Got the update finished after a few hours, and I made another mug of Glengettie.
The morning view, photographed from the light & view-blocking kitchenette window, made eerie pictures.
I made a brekkers. Mini pork pies, tomatoes, grapes, dried onions, a Marmite cheese disc, oh, and three little thin slices of the buttered Milk Roll loaf, none left now, Tsk! I will eat the food. Hahaha!
I stripped and into the wet room, I noticed the patellas seem to be doing their own thing? Of course, both are affected by Rheumatoid Arthur Itis, but the right one has CC (Cathy Cartilage) to contend with, and thus, is usually the more painful of the two, as today. The marked difference in appearance, odd lumps etc. has not been noticed before. Still, it gives a bit of character to the photograph, don’t you think? I reckon that one leg is getting fatter than the other? Haha!
On the bright side, the pins and feet didn’t look bad at all!
I noticed the, I’m not sure what you call it, a monitor for temperature and humidity gadget, shows the humidity as further below the green zone, and it got worse later, down 10 points under? I’ll take a look at Google, see what comes up.
yesterday but forgot to. Hard to believe, me forgetting something, I know. Hehehe!
looking at this morning’s Your-Area E-magazine. I found some bits scaremongering and of mild interest.
This was found on the Nottingham News site. Cheered my up a bit. I’d like to know how the student paid the fine immediately? Must have been a foreign pupil.
I went to make a brew of Glengettie, and the weather had changed a bit from earlier. I’m sorry I took it now, it was freezing out there! It must have fallen while I was doing the lengthy ablution session. Haha! It put me off going anywhere even if I could.
An hour or so later, I went into the kitchen to check on what to have for nosh later on. And the fog had descended now, it got worse later.
I got the meal prepping started. Took the evening medications. Very early in the day, for I was wearied beyond belief, I got the nosh served up.
I feasted and wallowed in it! Everything came out well, the bacon surprisingly so.
The landline flashed and chirped. The struggle out of the recliner again was not easy with CC so stiff and painful, but I got there in time somehow. It was my Vampire Nurse Angel, Hristina, to tell me she’ll be coming on Monday, between 0900 > 1100hrs. I thanked her, had a rare wee-wee, washed, and got back down in the c1968 recliner.

00:30hrs: I stirred, and much to my delight, as I nudged my Himalayan-like, wide-ranging, whacking-great, generously proportioned, wobbly-stomached body from the c1968, recliner, I found that Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters were behaving themselves, as I got on my feet almost easily!
I had to apply some Germoloid in great quantity, to calm things down. Washed the mitts and back to make the brew of Glengettie. I took this shot of the view, using the Canon camera. Which doesn’t usually take such night shots well, as a rule.
Did the Health Checks next. Starting with the Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometerisationing. Aha, at last, the SYS had come down, the DIA and Pulse had both shot up. The pulse considerably from yesterday.
The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer reading, was once again a good one, well in the green, safe zone.
Going back to the computer, I noticed the Nottingham City Homes supplied, humidity and temperature machine. It was showing humidity at well below the green area. But I wasn’t sure what it meant? Lack of air? I’ll look it up late. (He says confidently!)
Brew of tea at hand, I set off up[datong the Tuesday blog. Which took me over 5 hours to complete! Nicodemus, being the cause of this delay. So many times more than ever before, I had to correct and recheck things. I’ve probably missed no end of mistakes!

Not a perfect, or even close to a decent job was done. But it’ll do for now. Too early to hoover anywhere, the noise would be too unfair on my neighbours.
voice it was!
I don’t recall seeing this notice in the magazine before.
Nottinghamshire, it total, has had an increase in Covid-19 cases of 591, in one day! A really gruesome bit of news that is!
earlier. I moved into a hob saucepan, and put some peas into the mix, then got some red pepper sliced and into the slow cooker, to add later on. Ir was looking good to me!

Took a poor photo of the morning view. With the Canon, the Nikon I think has now packed-up altogether. Sob!
Then made some brekkers of sorts: mini pork & pickle pies, and a packet of Frazzles.

I exited the Torture Room… I mean, wet-room and finished dressing. The INR nurse and the Matron visit (If they happen) could arrive early, so I got the waste bags made up, and into the trolley box, and taken to the waste chute as soon as it was the allowed time to use it.
The latest available Nott’m Coronavirus figures were not too happy-making either!
Oh, dear!
Pottered about, nervously hoping there would be no repeat of Sundays ‘Out-of-it’ session. (Nope, all okay, Phew!)
I finished it and the fruit desserts off, then put the tray on the side chair and drifted off into the land of nod. I fumbled my way out of the chair, rightly thinking it was the DVT clinic results for the Warfarin blood test coming in. The 1.7 level, as a disappointment, but then again, with the ‘Out-of-it’ moments I’ve had this past few days, it was no surprise to see it so low really.

23:45hrs: I came back to a life of sorts, Toothache Terence was giving me some stick straight away.
I tackled the updating of the blog, finished it and got it posted off. Sent the Email link. Visited the WordPress Reader section.
to do so, I left it to try later when I was ready. I made a start on this template. Then I changed my mind and clicked the update button.

The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer count was 36.7°c, very acceptable.
The Nikon camera was not working again, so I had to use the Canon for the morning photograph of the view from the light & view-blocking, new kitchenette windows.
I got the medications taken and had a blast on this blog again.
No shower, too early cause of the noise from the motor, or whatever it is.
make me popular with the neighbours!
I got the few frozen things put in the freezer first. I thought I’d ordered a Chilli-Con-Carne meal, but I got a Beef Stroganoff, most likely me that got it wrong again, cause it wasn’t on the substitute list? Another Inchcock cock-up, once more, as I seem to be doing recurrently nowadays. Plinglepops!
For once the leeks they sent looked in good nick, I’ll do some when I have that Stroganoffski stuff. I called Jenny later, to check if anything barred to me was in it, I got the go-ahead to eat it from the gal ♥) Pork & Pickle mini-pies, butter, desserts, beef pasties, lemon Vienna cakes, and some vegetable Oxo cubes… oh, and the mystery mini pork sausages were put in the fridge.
The potatoes salad had two days life on it, the leek for 6 days. The pies all had 4 days of life. I’d better start eating, Heheheh!
I made up some bags and put them in the box on the walker-guide.
Then went to have a perusal of the Nottingham Today City Council magazine. To if anything new and newsworthy was found, to let you know about. This photo
above stuck out! Tsk!
New cases of Coronavirus in the last week are high again, a big increase. Summat else to worry about, then!
afternoon, has suddenly become much louder! Tsk! In fact, Tsk-Tsk!
I got the meal prepped and cooked, not that it needed much, the Beef Stroganoff ready prepared, just needed 45 minutes in the oven. I added some garden peas when I served it u
I cannot recall much about it, but I’m sure I drifted off again and had a dream, summat to do with being in an underground cave again, being chased? Woke up, passed wind, and wanted a wee-wee…

23:45hrs:

I got the medications taken, and Health Checks completed. And with two unwanted surprises. The sphygmomanometer’s SYS reading was at 184. What? I hope I last until Monday when the nurse arrives to take the blood for the Warfarin test.
Then the Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer reading came out as 37.5°c. I thought it was a good one, but the background turned to red, as a warning that it was too high? A bit worrying this is. I checked on the NHS site for Coronavirus symptoms and got this snipped from the site.
Onto the computer, and got the pictures uploaded. Another trickling wee-wee, a mug of tea, and started to update the Thursday blog. I pressed on regardless (I’m getting better at editing and correcting mistakes now, I just wish I wouldn’t make them in the first place, Haha!) Three more wee-wees, and another two hours and I got the blog finished.
Got some late brekkers/snack sorted out. Too tired to bother with much, so bunged a brown part-baked baguette in the oven for ten minutes, and I lathered it in Marmite! Added a bag of Marmite flavoured crisps. Enjoyed it, too! Flavour 7.6/10.
