Hello, hello, what’s all this then? Hehehe!

Friday 8th January 2021

01:35hrs: I woke with a start, something, possibly a noise I imagine, has stirred me from my slumber – and it had to be investigated in case it was an alarm, something collapsing, or an alien invasion. Haha! I forced my ailing elephantine body form the recliner and had a wander around. But I found nowt suspicious, maybe I was dreaming of something, but I have no memories of having any nocturnal dreams?
Mind you, it has been known for me to have tiny bits of nightmares occasionally come back to me during the day. Of course, if there is not a notepad and pencil handy at the time, smatterings of the dream dissipate before I can get to record them on paper. I wonder if any of you out there have this problem?
Ah, well, at least it got me up and hobbling around. The toothache woke up simultaneously as I did (Ah, maybe that is what made me wake up suddenly?) I had the customary morning wee-wee, and it was a powerful one this time. With the teeth being so painful, no tea had an uncooled drink of spring water with a squirt of lime juice in it, I thought it would be less hurtful than hot tea – I was wrong! Tsk!
I put the computer on and got the camera card to upload last nights photographs to finish off the Thursday blog. The Microsoft Photo importer was not working, so I used CorelDraw to get to them on the external ‘F’ drive. Simple enough, it worked on the fourth attempt! Grugglekronks!
I pressed on, grinding away, cursing Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters when they let me down, and found time for the odd prayer for the toothache to ease off. Oh, and about five wee-wees, which had turned into the even weaker ones, but with pre and after dribbling! At long last, I got the blog down and posted.
The teeth were still too painful for me to risk a hot drink, despite my wanting one, the craving had to wait.
Into the kitchen to make a spring water bottle up, and took a photo of the lingering fog outside.
Back to Computer Cameron, and sent the email link off. Then Pinterested a couple of pictures, and onto Facebook updating, which took some time. Went on the WordPress Reader, and as I did, the oddest of noises was heard as it was today, like a metallic scuffling, crunching sound again. I ignored it, but I made a note of the time, it was 04:40hrs, seemed to be coming from above the flat?

Tim Price said about taking the Health Checks later on after I’d been to the Porcelain Throne, it might bring the HP down. As I thought this to myself, the need for the Throne arrived! Spot on time! Off to the wet room, I limped.
As I got myself seated, the urge and need to evacuate seemed tp lose interest completely? I got the crossword book out, and…

Finished a Crossword Puzzle! Swank & Smug Modes Adopted! Admittedly, there were only about five clues left to get, but I’d been trying for ages, today, I solved them all bar one I had to cheat on. But at least I don’t think I would ever have got the answer. So quickly, in five to ten minutes or so. That cheered me up, I’ve been doing that puzzle for months determined to get it done, shame about that one clue, Tsk!
The torpedo suddenly started escaping, massive it was again, messy as well, but that didn’t matter to me, the lack of any pain at all was a morale boost! Honestly!

I began to whistle and hum songs to myself, as I was cleaning up, but as soon as I saw the TP, red, a deep red and lots of it – I went from joyous to jejune (I think tat’s the word, I’ll check it later), in a few seconds.
This did not look the usual colour from Haemorrhoid Harold’s clan, and it had run down the legs? But at the back of my mind, I think just perhaps with taking so many Paracetamol, thanks to the cock-up from
Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Carrington, Nottingham NG5 2DA, next to the launderette and pub, near the Lidl store, not sending any Codeines – and the toothache making me eat Paracetamols like peanuts, this may be affecting the blood. Cause the INR level fell this last week, no, this last Monday. What am I rambling on about? Pass!
I took the medications and started the Health Checks. The SYS has at long last, come down a bit, to 159. Far better than the160’s and 180’s it’s been lately. The pulse had tumbled as well, from 92 down to only 72!
The 哈尔滨仙帝非接触式温度计, that’s the Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, (I asked Mr Google -Simplified Chinese) gave another good reading in the green, of 36.8¨c.
So, all in all, there were pluses and minuses today, up to now. Collectively, for the most part, with everything taken into account, by and large, and weighed-up, at the end of the day; taking into consideration that I’m not fully in control of the mind this morning, the apatheticness, of which I am renowned for, and the toothache, I’d better ring the Doctor. Hehehe!
I decided to see what was available for me to gormandise on, for brekkers. The Chicken and cheese pasty, that Iceland had substituted for the beef pasty, ly there in the fridge, dried, curled up puff pastry leaving crumbs all over the moment I touched it, tempted me. That’s all I had, just the pasty.
I got it in the oven heating up, went for a wee-wee, and heard the metal scraping noise again? I plodded out of the door to listen where it was coming from, but it stopped. A mystery this is. I wonder if anyone else has heard it?
I got the chicken pasty out and not a plastic plate wit high edges (to catch the crumbs), and returned to the computer, so I could eat the nosh with the plate in an open drawer while typing this blog. You’ve got to admit, I sure do get some stupid ideas!

And all credit to Iceland, their substitutions are slowly getting as bad as Morrisons and Sainsbury’s. Obviously, that was a joke, no other shop could ever be as bad as that pair of substitutionally-insane stores. However, they did manage to sell a short-dated, split packaged, foul-tasting, sickening crap, chicken Pastie, that no doubt they would have had to throw away – I can’t imagine anyone buying another one once they have tasted their first one! Of course, poor old sods like me who can’t get out to buy any food can be sent them in their order as a substitute… I’ve just proved that… Spit! Mind you. I ate it all, didn’t I? All four-ounces of it!
Ablutionisationing time arrived later today. The right leg had lost a lot of fluid content, was still pale, Clopidogrel marks were returning. The old ankle ulcer was getting a smidge, more colourful methinks. A new, mark or two developing. The Throne evacuation was messy, but not soft. If that makes sense. But virtually pain-free.
Hours spent on doing this blog, until, the sudden arrival of hunger!
I dug out the last part-pack of chips from the freezer, opened a tin of boczek and peas, and sliced a few tomatoes for a nosh. And a pot of lemon mousse.
Apart from the chips, that were terrible, the tomatoes being bitter, and the boczek being terribly fatty, the peas and lemon dessert, tasted alright. Flavour-rating; 3/10, shame that!
I can’t recall owt after that, but I woke up in the recliner later.

23:20hrs: It’s getting back to normal now; I woke up, involuntarily passed wind, and needed a wee-wee. Accompanied by the almost ever-present SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley), and near-agony from BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda).
I adopted my investigative-mode to try to work out why I was running short on the Codeines.

The new Chinese made, Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, showed a reading of 36.8°c. Which shows as being in the green, as acceptable! Compared to yesterdays reading of 37.5 in the red, it is a good one.
I stopped to make another brew of Glengettie, and had, wait for it, two wee-wees, one after the other?
Made yet another mug of tea, Co-op 99 this time, and hard to believe, but I had another weaker wee-wee!
with. Hehehe!
Then, back to the wet room, to medicate the areas in need, that for some reason I’d not done earlier. I took the clothes with me to change into after the medicationalisationing was done. And the landline rang and flashed!
I made up some waste bags and took them to the rubbish chute. Returned and getting the three-wheeler in the flat, backwards cause it’s usually easier, I caught my ankle bone against the door edge. I recall saying something like, “Well, blow me!”, as I laughed off the incident, as the right leg went into a mini-dance routine, and I hit my toe against the bottom panel. Luckily, me being a heroic man of phenomenal bravery, I was not bothered in the least bit, of course! Ahem!
Carrington, Nottingham NG5 2DA, next to the pub, near the launderette and Lidl store, and have no lids to allow the tablets to spill all over the place and get lost! Deana told me it was time to take down the Christmas cards, so I did. I took this photo earlier to remind me to ask her, cunning, eh?
Well shattered now, I’ll try again to make a meal that I can eat all of.
I was originally, going to have a steak slice, but I had to make do with the Morrison substituted chicken and bacon pie. Didn’t find or taste any bacon in it, mind. The Leicester cheesy potatoes came out alright. The Spanish tomatoes were not too bad for once. The specially-burnt garden peas tasted fine! And, the lemon dessert went down a treat.

22:50hrs: On the reactivation of my brain cells, I found myself in a semi-confused state of mind. I soon started to identify the ailments that were in an active, destructive mode and mood!
down than I was yesterday. The regulatory wee-wee was taken. But not of the weak unwilling variety as yesterday, this one was of the PSSP (Persistent, Short, Sharp, painful) mode, as were the next five of them over the next hour!

Onto CorelDraw, I did a graphic or two for the future templates, of some Thoughts.

The wee-wees were slowing down (frequency-wise) and had changed mode into a PSS (Persistent, Short, Sharp) mode, with each one showing CMD (Cessational Micturition Dribble). Variety be the spice of life?

Everything was done and served up. And delivered at the agreed time of 12-Noon! Spot-on the dot.

23:45hrs:
I got the hurtful stinging job of cleaning up and medicating Little Inchies fungal lesion. One of the genuinely more difficult and almost harrowing jobs of all the ailment treating. This and using the Sock-Glide, are tasks I do not look forward to at all!
Then, went to get the Health Checks done. I recall thinking to myself, I hope the SYS will have come back down. But No! It had gone up to 183 from yesterdays 180!
Updated blog.
Ablutions tackled, got the crossword book out, seated, no time for crosswording, though. The actions started and flowed freely, but still rather painfully, messy and bleeding again, the same as it was yesterday morning.

Went to make a brew, took a snap of the descending fog from the thick-framed light and view-blocking kitchen windows. I made a mug of Glengettie tea, got a handful of biscuits to go with the cuppa. I took the tea through to the computer; first, I try not to use the right hand for carrying hot drinks, in case Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters die-off, and I drop the drink. I put the tea down and returned to get the camera from the kitchenette.
The Iceland Foods delivery man cameth. I let him in and made my way to the front door. Which seemed like a good idea, Hehe!
Confusion was in a pestering mood. Oh, and nipping onto Gmail as they came in
and went to investigate what to have for my nosh. I’m sure I had a plan in mind for the meal earlier, but it had gone off into the ether.
had not done the

00:00hrs: As I woke, half-hanging out of the recliner, with the bottled water, headphones, woolly-hat, spectacles, pen and pad and other bits on the floor around the chair, there were little bits of the dream I must have been having, milling about in my head…
So, I’ve been up for around five-minutes – A tumble onto my knees, CC, and RAI giving me grief, then SSS joins in, a pathetic wee-wee, and now I’ve just stubbed my toe taking the bucket to be sanitised!
The latest figures for Nottingham was not up to date, because of the holiday period, obviously.
The national Patients Admitted graph looked like a bit of a spike is developing,
after a dip?
spectres, poltergeist, spirits, manifestations, zombies, daemons, cacodemons, rakshasas, hellions, aliens, extraterrestrials, hobgoblins, apparitions, elfins, pishogues, apparitions, or gremlins?
On with the dating of this bog, then decided some brekkers would be a good idea. A Jenny supplied pickled egg, halloumi sticks and a Cornish pastie. A fair feast I found veritably tasty!
Porcelain Throne arrived. Apart from losing a fair bit of blood, things went well enough. I got the ablutions done at the same time. Which went well, a few dropsies, no more than ten, mind. Two decent sessions! The legs were looking good too.
When I came out of the wet from into the kitchenette, there had been a slight covering of snow while I was ablutioning. Took this picture from the unliked, light and view-blocking window.
some graphics done. The internet was so slow and causing problems. I phoned Jenny, to wish a happy new year and see how she, Nora and Frank, were doing. They seemed okay, Jenny was pragmatic, is the word methinks, about the current situation.
I got some waste bags done up, took them to the chute, and the big bag down to the caretaker’s bin.

23:50hrs: I woke, wanting a wee-wee, that felt rather urgent. No time for a preamble, I manipulated my colossal-wobbly stomached torso from the £300 second-hand, c1968 recliner. I hobbled over to the with the greatest of speed available to me, to take a wee-wee.
Not only that, but I felt drained of energy afterwards? Something amiss here? The thought of the treatment and put-downs I had suffered on my last visit to the Oncologist, was enough, to encourage me not to call them, but to wait to see how things develop, first. (How dare she tell me to stop drinking Glengettie tea and go onto the crap-tasting decaffeinated type!) Hehehe!
I washed the dandies and got the kettle on. Made up some waste bags and got them in the box on the three-wheeler-walking guide. The box seems to have got filled-up a lot quicker than it normally does? I may have made the bags up a little too large to fit in the chute? Humph!
I tended to the Health Checks next. Starting with the Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer. At least the SYS was a tad lower than yesterday, the pulse was up a fair bit, mind at 91, compared to yesterdays 87 reading.
The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer was down a smidge, but within range, I think, at 36.5°c, it was in the green anyway. I like this machine, it is quick and easy to use. Of course, now I’ve said that; somethings bound to go wrong!
left in it to use, I still got the biggest part of it down the cheeks. Tsk!
thought I’d still take a Dioctyl® 100mg Poo-Softener capsule, just the one.
damned Microsoft Pictures Ap was not having it again! I wrangled a way of getting them in from the plug-in in the end. Heck of a mess about!
I went to make a mug of Glengettie, and I took these photographs through the light & view-blocking kitchen window. The first a wide shot that didn’t come out as it showed in the Nikon viewer’s window. However, I thought I saw a fire on the horizon!
I zoomed in to get a clearer picture (Okay, I failed). But it did look like a fire was burning, and a decent-sized one too!
I opened the YourNottingham news magazine and had a look to see if any news of a fire was on it. I found this disappointing Covid figures for Nottingham.

I got dressed and off into the kitchen to sort out the last waste bag.
chute room.
lobby window before entering the chute room.
opening on, some folks tend to put loose large waste into the funnel, and so many blockages last year, proved very costly to unblock.
but was turning to train as I snapped the pictures.

Such fascinating memories! Ahem!
I made an inspection of sorts of the flat, room by room. The Hallway apart from being untidy had no indications of anything out of order.

The first one I used the Nightime Panorama, the second was done in Auto mode.
The stomach was beginning to rumble and churn again, I didn’t think it would be long until the Throne was needed again. (Where’s it coming from?)
than in the eye. Huh! I was beginning to think I was losing it today!

I took a few pictures.
I moved the nearly dried quilt, over the server on wheels trolley, and moved it close to the storage heater, to let it get dried enough.
Then I spotted a can of sausage and bean stew, that appealed even more to me. Because I vaguely recall trying it before and enjoying it. Of course, relying on what I remember is not a guarantee of anything! But, I took the decision to try it today. I took a decision a few weeks ago, you know, oh, yes!
Of to the kitchen and got the can opened without any fuss A ring-pull!
sausages to add to the pan. Cunning eh?
The head was getting more confused now, so I gave up on the blogging and prepared the meal. I did some sausages in the oven, and added them to the saucepan, along with some Squid vinegar, and a tin of chilli beans. It came out alright, a Taste Rating of 7/10.

I got the medicalisationing tackled, starting with the Chloramphenicol antibiotic eye drops, the Carmellose eye drops, into the eye, and down my cheeks, over the moustache and into my mouth, as normal. The Docusate Sodium medicine, Dioctyl® 100mg Poo-Softener, and the morning medications were taken.
I got the computer on, and had a long job again, cause I had to load and sort out the evening sky photographs. Although it wasn’t my skills that made these snaps so good, I still got an inkling of pride that they came out alright for once. My particular favourite was this one on the right. a grand mixture of light and dark patches, the grey clouds visible higher up in the sky. The yellow strip… I liked this one.
later, I will put on a pair of the old PP’s, that will cope easily with it. It’s a life innit!
that, and I put some snaps on Pinterest. Then as I went on to Facebook, the landline flashed. It was Brother-in-Law Pete, asking about the blog link he’s not received yet. I explained about the long day yesterday and told him I was about to send it. We had a little natter, I enjoy them, you know.
Got the job done and emailed the link. Then got a little brekkers to nibble.
Then realised I’d not done the BP and temperature. (Twit!) So I did them. The temperature was spot-on again. Things are going so well this morning, compared to how they usually go, I was considering upgrading mt Smug-Mode to Grade-B. Hahaha!
during which I up[dated the Personal word Dictionary on Excel, the pile pains were joined by Anne Gyna’a stinking right across the chest.
A quick search for the latest Covid-19 figures, locally.
garden peas, the last of the little tomatoes and a Jenny-supplied pickled egg.
My interest in football was rekindled. (It was fading when Brian Clough retired, then dissipated altogether) I borrowed this photo from the BBC, I hope they don’t mind. Villa’s second goal.
An old comic gag… Coming back?

on the wee-wee chart! Which means I have to drink more. I’m not doing very well these last few days, am I? Fungleboggles!
Then I tackled the worrying and delicate job, of making a right mess of putting in the eye drops. Starting with the Chloramphenicol. Next, the eye-stinging Resolve ‘Soothing’ eye drops.
made a brew of Glengettie tea.
I cracked on with the updating of yesterday’s blog. A slow job again, the concentration was fine (to start with), but Nocodemus’s neurotransmitters were the worst bother, and so much correcting had to be done all the time. Still, a mug or two of spring water, a few wee-wees, eye dropping session and taking another Dioctyl® in between, and I got it finished. No doubt missing many corrections that needed doing. (Lack of confidence? Me?… Yes!)
I went to make a mug of Thompsons Punjana tea and took this bad photo of the morning view from the kitchenette window. See the headlights there again, near the Health Centre? Every weekday, whoever parks up around 05:00hrs, leaving the headlights on for around two hours. I’d love to know who and why? But I’m just nosey. Haha!
so the next day – I know!) I exited to get the new tube and camera to take these shots.
I took a photo through the balcony windows. It was indeed a cloudy, misty, rainy and demoralising bit of weather we were having this unfine Wednesday.
Ah, a knock on the door! I investigated. Two letters had been posted, that might have been the noise and not anyone knocking.
My jentacular desires came to mind. And I got a quick breakfast sorted out for myself.
I made up a few waste bags and got them in the box on the three-wheeler guide.
I served up the nosh on a tray, back to some Chilli-Con-Carne today, at last. Some chips with it, and grapes and a pot of dessert to follow. Oh, and a baguette to soak up the extra chilli-gravy I’d added, and purposely overcooked a little. Taste? 8/10!
An incoming landline call flashed and rang. Somehow I got free of the recliner and to the phone in time. It was Jenny, she was worried about my not seeing the email link for the blog, the lady apologised for waking me, bless her. It’s nice to know someone cares enough to do this. Sister Jane does similar, but I have not had a call from her, and at the time thought I had sent the link. I muttered my apologies for missing it off, and am not sure if anything else was said… oh, yes, Jenny told me to get back to sleep, bless her. I must check it in the morning and do it if I hadn’t, early before sending today’s… int life confusing? Tsk!

01:10hrs: Woke, wobbled out of the recliner, weighed up my balance, and went to the bucket for a weak wee-wee, and wondered why it was so sprinkly, went to get the Health Checks done.
I started with the Chinese built blood pressure machine from Boots, thingamabob, wotsit, erm… ah, sphygmomanometer (I’ve remembered the name now). The SYS was up again, but it’s always up and down lately.
Then onto the Chinese built Harpin Xian Di Thermometer. A near-perfect result this morning. Smug-Mode-Engaged!
Docusate Sodium Adult/50ml Oral Solution, I shook viciously, before taking a gulp of it, and a Dioctyl® capsule. As per instructions.
soaking in the sink to sanitise them, as I grabbed them to remove to the bucket, black bits appeared everywhere?

I made a brew of Glengettie.
bowl and sink, So they would be soaking, for it to be easier for me later, then all I’ve need to do is rinse them out and get them hung.
ing off of anywhere.

oot, or torso!
Minutes later, Hristina arrived. My, well, not just mine, of course, beautiful phlebotomy Vampire nurse came. She was again in a hurry, the poor thing has many more calls to make than she had before the Covi-19 animal arrived. Bless her ♥. She had me done in a jiffy and was off to her next client. She still managed to have a mini-gossip in between. ♥
in the sink finished off. All done, wrung and hung. Only a pair of socks and a long-sleeve tee-shirt were done.
I got the bag with the Balsamic crisps and Skinny bars in it, ( I’d forgotten to take them the other day when I called in Jenny, Tsk!)
I spotted with my keen, alert, Socratic, sharp, inquisitive Sherlock Holmesian fashion, two fire engines art the end of the road dealing with an alarm at the Winchester
Court block. I shall investigate further, later!
remembered about the fire tenders. I took a snap out of the balcony windows, at least one was still there on Chestnut Walk near the bus turning island.
I continued doing the updating and later put the ready-made in the oven.
Ah, well, I got the meal prepared. Not much hassle to make it tonight. Iy didn’t look overly-attractive, but by gum, it tasted so good!
