Inchcock Today: Wednesday 24th March 2015

Wednesday 25th March 2015

Dreamt of struggling to get to work, repeatedly I think.

On a motorbike in the snow… Then at work in a factory larger than a village I kept getting lost trying to find where I needed to go… Then on a massive old bus, all the other prospective workers milling around trying to get the attention of the manager was in answer to questions and fill in a form? Later I was in a factory and lost again trying to find the loading bay (that seemed to consist of bits of places I’ve known over the years) but I couldn’t find it?

Took me medications and started this diary off.

Did some graphics for the TFZ site on Coreldraw9 that didn’t crash.

Decided that after the Iceland delivery I’d have a poddle into town and try and get some shots from the top deck of the 141 bus – knowing my luck it’ll be a single decker and destroy me plans. Hehe!

My old mate Trevor got in touch this morning – but I was feeling a bit low, but it was marvellous to hear from him.

A good scrub-up spit and polish was done.

301Carringt

Bright sky at the bus-stop this morning – cheery that!

I got myself ready and put the reserve laptop on to await the arrival of the fodder, which came around noon.

I made sure I’d got me free pensioners bus-pass with me and I went and caught a bus to town and got to the bus station in plenty of time.

The 141 bus was late – not that it mattered to me like.

But it was a single decker so that scuppered me plans for taking photographs of me journey from the upper deck like.

302bestwoo

Bestwood Village

Thinking about it, I’d have struggled to get up and down the stairs anyway, so maybe not a bad thing.

When we arrived at Bestwood Village nine passengers alighted and one elderly lady got on the bus.

We drove on through Hucknall and Linby.

I think every village we went through used to have a colliery of it’s own or shared  one with the next village in days gone by.

303Linby

Linby

There are still signs of them today – Bestwood Miners Community Centre is still there – but of course no miners left.

Linby still has some roadside memorabilia.

So sad, but the industry went from exploited workers to exploited NCB in the end.

304Linby

The Farm

We moved on to Papplewick and I took a photo of one of the farms near the bus stop there.

Not easy taking a decent photo cause of the reflections from the windows. Many I took were unusable – Tsk!

305Papple

Papplewick

We moved into the rather more affluent village of Papplewick next.

The sky changed while we were there, and I thought we were going to get a downpour – but nothing matured.

306Ravensh

Ravenshead

Then into the even more affluent place by the name of Ravenshead.

Private schools, 4×4’s in the houses drive-ways etc.

And no signs of the old (or new) miners housing that there is in other places on this route.

307Blidwo

Blidworth Village

Further on an we came to the colliery of colliers Blidworth – this pit (No longer in operation of course) won many awards over the years and in the first world war a team from this colliery was sent to dig under the German lines and plant massive bombs, so my old neighbour told me some years ago.

All yuppies and upper crusts nowadays.

Then on to Rainworth.

Where the Rufford Colliery was opened in 1911, and closed in 1993.

308Rainworth

Rainworth – Like so many of these villages en-route has a rich history

In 1975 killer Donald Neilson (the Black Panther) was caught by police officers helped by locals at the chip shop on Southwell Road East in the village.
Rainworth has a five turbine wind farm called Lindhurst Wind Farm which was built in 2010.

I tried to photograph them, but the old bus shaking and it not stopping near them curtailed me plans as the photos came out rather blurred and you couldn’t recognise anything on them. Huh!

309Mans

Mansfield Bus Station

We arrived at Mansfield bus-station and I poddled down towards the market so as to have a look at the second-hand book stall if it was open.

As I walked down the narrow jitty people were running up the narrow jitty – I overheard one of the folk say to another: “Somebody’ll get killed…”.

I turned back up the jitty and to the bus station as I heard the police vehicles sirens.

Took me midday medications Better late than never).

I caught a Pronto bus back (Single decker, they all are on that route) and sat camera in hand in readiness for anything interesting coming into view on the way back.

311photo

Inchcock having an unplanned kip on the bus! Tsk!

As we drove though the Papplewick turn off I lost it – I woke up a mile or so further on.

I assume that is when I took this photograph without realising it…

Gawd knows how I did it, but it’s certainly different innit?

I wonder if I should enter it in some competition somewhere?

No… okay.

310RavenAt the Ravenshead turn-off I tried to take a photo of an old American car, no idea what it was, long low, massive wings at the back and coloured pink and white or cream, with white-wall tyres!

But I was too slow and it had gone before I could get me camera going. Tsk!

311RedhillAnother failed photograph here – the missing fox?

He or she was there when I got me camera out but I can’t see any fox in this photographicalisation at all… can you? No, I thought not, shame.

On into Nottingham with me fighting to stay awake now, Anne Gyna getting restless and being on the bus so long started me haemorrhoids off again, for which I am still suffering. Hey-ho!

312CarrOn the way back from the bus-stop, I came across a piece of Nottingham Street Art with a difference – no idea what it was at all, or why the artist had created it. Hehe!

On the pavement at the base of a telegraph pole it lay there awaiting praise or criticism

Back in the hovel, I was tired but hungry.

INR level results came through the post -1.7, down again. They booked me in for next Monday for testing.

313PitMade some herbed microwave potatoes (Must get some more of these from Aldi, they’re super!) and a beef slice, followed by a pot of ice-cream and a cuppa.

Took me medications.

Started this diary, then did some Facebooking.

Faded fast and gave in to the heavy eyelids…

Inchcock Today 24/3/15: Launderette Lust – Incorporating Inchies Worst Nightmare ever!

Tuesday 24th March 2015

HeadITtuesd

Incorporating revealing the worst dream ever for Inchcock!

Bad night, took me ages to get off, then it was filled with the most unsavoury night of dreams I’ve ever had.

When I woke I found myself grabbing me pen and notepad and writing away making scribbling down bits of the nightmares – it was as if someone else was doing it and I was just watching the pen etch the jumbles words. I felt young again for a while as I read these notes later.

WC’d took my medications… and then make a cuppa – got the laptop going and deciphered my scrawl to record here.

My first thought was the end must be nigh and I’m being given the tip-off.

So many of my indiscretions, mistakes, humiliations, frustrations and failures seemed to have been in the nightmares. Some I couldn’t bring my myself to mention here due to the embarrassment. Many I had actually forgotten about and was coy about even thinking of them again. It was as if someone had selected all the worst parts of my life and made a movie about them.

My mistakes and failures with the girls, misjudgements at work and school even detailed painful memories of certain incidents seemed very clear, in fact clearer that they were at the time they occurred!

These regurgitated memories actually took my mind off the ailments until I visited the porcelain for the second time and the pain reminded me, then of course all the other things started to get noticed, Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna etc. Then things seemed to come come into perspective again – and I was old again, in pain and unhappy.

I wrote these bits down quickly and do not want to change them as they seemed to come from someone else? I hope you can understand them and how the nightmares made me feel – uncomfortable perhaps being the best description.

Reading them back now – they do not say anything concrete to me, but it felt like it to me, they just highlighted the worst parts of my life.

Most odd?

Immediately after typing in this bit of the diary, the sneezing started and seems set to stay with my, and it is painful for me torn muscle every time I cough or sneeze – what’s going on I asked myself? No answer yet.

IMG_0001Then I noticed the camera was nearby on the floor.

I took the card out and found this photograph – it’s dated for .yesterday on it – but can I remember taking it?

No.

I assume I took it to show the sky and it’s gloomy foreboding?

Still a mite ‘not-myself”, I did a bit of Facebooking.

Got the things ready and trudged down to the launderette. Mandy on duty and as usual she could not help herself in making a fuss of me. WWarnLie

Well, she ignored me a lot less than she usually does.

BJ gave me a lift to Asda afterwards.

After we did out shopping, the hail came down for about 10 seconds then stopped?

BJ ran me home and lifted me bags to the step for me. He’s not too good himself today, horrible painful cough.

After putting me things away I decided I would go for a walk again and poddled across to Nottingham Road and down the hill into Basford and back via Hucknall Road – a nice round route taking in a few hills to test and help keep me knees working.

0203

0201

0202The clouds kept changing from white to grey with great rapidity as I trudged on across Hucknall Road through to Nottingham Road, then the easy bit all the way down the hill aiming to turn off at Sainsburys and work me way back by another route.

But I remembered there was a new Aldi store opened next to Sainsburys (I didn’t really remember, I saw the Aldi sign hehe).

T thought I’d pop in and have a browse like, see if 0403bthey had any Marmite stuff in stock.

The sky produced some more hail stones as I approached the entrance, but again only for a few seconds?

Odd weather this today.

The store was not very busy.

I poddled around and found some packs of herb seasoned new potatoes that were microwaveable at 89p a pack. They also had some Potatoe gratin at the same price so I treated missen to one of each.0404

The sky still kept changing from bright to glum every few minutes.

So, loaded with a bit of stuff in me bag, I started to walk back up the gradual gradient, gradually getting slower as I did, back towards the flea pit.

Through the housing estate and across onto Hadyn Road0405.

The sky again ominously dark and threatening.

Bit of a dizzy at this point, but it no bother, only lasted seconds then cleared up?

Onward, passing the roadworks and cafe where the stabbing took place last month, passing the repossessed furniture business shop I plodded on down the hill to the Hucknall Road junctions and turned right up the hill into 0407Carrington.

As I did the sky brightened for a while.

0408Spotted me first Nottingham Street Art piece on the wall of some fencing near to the factory gates.

To the top of the steeper than expected hill, knees a-hurting, Anne Gyna a-stinging and regretting thinking this walk in the hills was not such a good idea after all. Hehe!

0409I turned into me street and was pleasantly greeted with a lack of apprentice yobboes lurking or any pit-bull owning neighbours out and about.

I got in the flea-pit exhausted.

I didn’t even put me washing away, made some nosh and a cuppa put the laptop on and fell asleep!

Sad innit?

Woke up 1830hrs and took me medications with some of me Trederwen Lemon and Lime Spring Water. (I mention this in detail in the hopes that Messrs Trederwen will read this Diary blog and send me some financial incentive to continue mentioning their wonderful product…)

Managed to get this diary finshed and posted.

Getting  tired and weary again now…

Mon 23 March 2015 – Inchcock Today: Marathn walk – Hospital- bus rides… there’s no stopping the old codger!

Monday 23rd March 2015

0120

Woke at 1205hrs – realised I’d not taken last nights medications dose – missing the Warfarin was bad, especially as my level is so low at the moment – Tsk!

It dawned that I’d not done yesterdays diary and set about correcting that – I’d fell asleep early last night and stayed asleep for hours. Feeling a tad confused now. Got INR tests at the hospital today, had yesterday’s diary to finish off first, then started this diary and I do not want to miss me League of Gentlemen posts again, mind racing.

Took me 4 hours but I got the post finished and posted.

01M04Made a cuppa to celebrate and took me medications.

Also had a bag of vinegar biscuits and me last banana – have to go to Morrison’s after the hospital today and do another Marmite search.

Got a good wash and polished me head and the things ready for the hospital and set off on me 0101marathon walk to the QMC.

The sky was not bad this morning and a tad brighter as I set-off on me marathon hobble to the Queens Medical Centre at 0715hrs – but as you’ll see in the photographicalisations wot I tooketh – the sky only got darker as the day went drew on.

0105Near the Mansfield Road college, I came across some Nottingham Street Art in the form of a giant Pizza I think box.

It had greasy stains on the box and some remnants of the fodder that had been within and some bits of discarded food decoratively scattered around.

Possibly the cause of the regurgitated food found a few hundred yards later…? It still gave off an aroma from the box – you now, like stewed rat that had gone off!

0102Down to Hucknall Road, onto Mansfield Road and along to the junction with Gregory Boulevard then right and then left down the Boulevard.

A pile of something or other regurgitated, had been left decoratively on the pavement near the school presumably last nights or even this mornings for the Nottingham Citizens to talk and walk over.

Unfortunately the photo I took of it didn’t come out well.

0102It looked to me like the pile was still bubbling and steaming?

I wondered if whoever had passed it was in good health this morning?

Passing the tram station for the Forest recreation ground and onward to the end of the Boulevard and over the traffic lights and up Radford Boulevard, where I espied blue lights a-0103flashing in the distance, and the traffic was well backed up.

So, instead of taking me usual route and turning right onto Hartley Road and going that way, I carried on so I could have a nosey at what the commotion was all about like.

Being a concerned citizen.

Whatever it was it was causing a backlog of traffic, cause usually around this time of the 0108morning traffic ain’t this bad.

Someone was having their pride and joy removed by the Nottingham Parking Team, and three police officers and two CPO’s were in attendance as well – mind you, knowing the area that might have been a wise move for the protection of those attending and removing the car.

It was getting a little darker now as I turned right down Norwood Road then left down Forster Street.

To the end of the street and then right down the hill on Bramcote Street to join St Peters Street and then left onto Ilkeston Road and crossed over the lights.

My first encounter with a pavement cyclist took place on my way to Triumph Road – and it was a close one, the git came from behind so no chance of my hearing or seeing the little toe-rag before he made me jump as he sped passed me – he carried on belting it and was too quick for me get me camera out. I did call out to him… I said something like “Excuse me you naughty boy, you made me jump!”… Well not exactly those words of course. Not that it mattered he couldn’t hear me from that distance with the traffic that was now getting heavier by the minute trundling by.

I was irked I can tell you… irked I was!

0109Plodded on and over the bridge and left down Triumph Road where the many many new college buildings are located.

By the time I’d gotten a few hundred – another git on a bike came at me from the front this time so I whipped out me Canon turned called out questioning his parentage and took a photo.

Now not only was I irked but feeling ratty too! – Thus, when a Porsche type shaped car turned onto a drive into one of the college building without even slowing down as I walked across the entrance – I followed the car into the car park and had a little word with the driver – About 26, 6’2″ and fit looking he were, but me gander was up now and fear d0110idn’t raise its head:

“Well done ###t!” I says.

“What” (In a posh voice) he replies.

“You didn’t even see me did you?”

A look of contempt came over his face and he ignored me completely and started to walk towards the units entrance, with a sneer for me now too!

“I called “Oi, ##ck breath, I’m talking to you… I’ve got a copy of the Highway code in me bag yer can ‘ave…”

He’d gone and I fumed silently for a few moments – then realised I’d attracted the attention of the many students on there way to the college, and two securty men arrived and spoketh to me.

One of them said they’d been sent out by the git in the sports car to remove me from the premises?

Anyway, they were all right about it and I got the feeling they did not like the git particularly. we moved back onto the road pavement and had a little natter and laugh – the things they told me about him, not his name like but his attitude to them and others. Also that he was being made redundant and it was his last day in the job in the IT department – I actually felt a bit guilty and sorry for him then.

01120111But it still cheered up a bit and I carried on to the end of Triumph Road, turned right there and hobbled to the hospital entrance where I was taking me usual photo of the frontage when the third pavement cyclist flew passed me! Tsk and Tut!

0915hrs I arrived. So that means it took me a bit longer than usual to get there on me walk – thinking about it though, an hour and ten minutes wasn’t too bad considering the hassle I’d had en route?

There were a few patients waiting so I got a free copy of the Metro newspaper, me queue ticket and patiently awaited me number to be called.

The nurses were in a good mood and appreciated the nibbles I gave them, in fact they all tried to get the bag of off of me first – so as to get first pick methinks? Hehe!

By the time I was finished and out, the time for me using me free bus-pass was gone, so I caught a bus into town.

0115As the bus was getting into the City Centre I espied a chap walking up Goosegate playing his guitar and singing. I took a photo of him trough the bus window – that’s why its a bit shaky I think.

The bus eventually got the 800yrds from that spot onto Upper Parliament Street and the City Centre terminus. They are doing some roadworks of some kind with barriers all over the place and this is causing pandemonium with the buses, as normally there would be room for two buses to park at each stop – now there is hardly enough 0116room for one to park.

I caught another bus out to Morrison’s at Gamston.

Primarily to see if they had any Marmite biscuits in stock.

The trip out took about 25 minutes, more than enough time for me to fall asleep despite the bus being rather full. Huh!

Luckily I awoke before we arrived at the 0113superstore – amazed at how I managed to stay in the seat during me trip into slumber?

It was getting darker still now as I approached the entrance to Morrison’s.

I had a wander around, found some Marmite crisps that were £1.40 for a pack of 6 bags – niggling that, yesterday I got some from Tesco and cost £1.90! Shackleramblast!

I got some bread thins cause they were cheaper 0114than Tesco as well by 25p, a pack of cheese and pickle mini pork pies and a bag of wonderfully full flavoured Thompson’s Punjana tea bags.

A blend of Indian and Nigerian tea that is almost perfect – and they were on offer at £1.59 instead of £2.25.

But they didn’t have any Marmite biscuits. Huh!

0117I got the bus back into Nottingham City Centre, all praise and bless me free bus-pass.

I dropped off the bus and went up the walk-over into the Victoria Centre and took a photo of the bus mayhem on Upper Parliament Street… and the Nottinghomians crossing the lights against them again.

I walked through Vic Centre and down to the ground level taking a photo of the ‘Boost’ fresh fruit drink stall from above again – still no actual 0118customer when I took the photograph, but I’m sure that if I live long enough, one day when I go through they will have a customer to serve I can take a photograph of – that is if they do not go bankrupt first like.

I meandered into the HMV shop to see if they had any new editions Law and Order UK in yet, but they had not. Just as well really the amount of spending I’m doing – Huh!

Walked to the end passed Tesco and out near where they are demolishing the BBC building. Today they had giant machines 0119with claw-like grabbers tearing down the concrete floors of the old building – I thought when I pass on the bus I could get a better photo of them and I remembered when I eventually got the bus too, as well and besides!

On my way to catch the bus back to Carrington, I took a photo of some ‘Bling’ from a jewellery store window shop in Kings Walk of Trinity Square.

I’ve no idea what the gemstones were in these rings, but they looked gorgeous to me.

bling1Just so you know, the prices were very high, I think each ring or piece cost thousands of pounds.

Green? would that be jade then or not?

I dropped off the bus in Carrington and the walk-through from the Co-op was free of any lurking yobboes this afternoon I’m glad to say.

Fatima and Fred brought the family down to get some extra rations as I walked into me road.

Feeling weary now, but not too bad considering the walking I’ve managed to get in today.

Laptop on, made a flask of tea and got on with finishing this diary.

I hope to stay awake long enough to take me evening medications tonight and me beef pasty slice and frankfurter.

I can feel the eyelids drooping again now – so I’ll finish here and get me nosh and medications taken.

TTFN all, hope to see you ll tomorrow. (Well yer never know! Hehe!)

Inchcock Today 20/03/15: Gloomy painful start to the day…

Friday 20th March 2015

Woke up remembering bits of a dream and the urgency to post off me samples this morning.

WC – failed attempt – took me medications.

The urgency of sending off me samples soon made me forget everything about the dreams (Tut!) as I got myself up and ready to have a little walk to the post-0401box.

As I left the dump Fred came down for his breakfast of sunflower seeds and earthworms.

Within a few paces of setting off Anne Gyna made her presence known in no uncertain terms – worse than she’s been for 0402months now, Tsk! If it ain’t one thing it’s another!

Not many folk about, but then again it is early yet – the gloomy in the sky fitted with my feeling of gloom with stab after stab from Anne Gyna accompanied me.

It actually got darker and gloomier as I poddled to the end of the road.

I could hear emergency services sirens close by but saw nothing – the sound continued with I 0403think other vehicles joining them – I could not smell any burning?

Breathing a bit difficult by the time I’d got through the twitchel and on to Mansfield Road.

Some more pigeons came down for a nibble.

0404I took a photograph from opposite the end of the twitchel – in reality it was gloomy with a feint bit of sunshine coming through the clouds – but it did not come out like it was – shame.

0406The cheery bin-men were happily plying their trade in Carrington this morning.

I walked down the road and around the block to ensure I got some exercise in.

As I knew Anne Gyna would incapacitate me a bit today from past experiences of her attacks. Tut!

0405This photo on the right is a better representation of the cool misty morning in Carrington this morning.

Note the letter box next to the waste-bin on the kerbside?

That’s the one I walked passed contentedly forgetting that the reason I was out in the first place was to post me samples off that I’d forgotten about yesterday… and Wednesday too!

I was off down the road hobbling along into the distance in my own little meandering world around the block and realised I’d forgot again to posted them again, so I returned to do this post haste.

0407Now, the bin being next to the post-box might not cause problems for most people – but take the scenario of an elderly partly-senile Inchcock attempting to do a simple job of posting an envelope – he is bound to post his letter into the bin in error while his mind wanders ain’t he?

Well I didn’t actually drop the letter into the bin – but it was close – only just stopped missen. Tsk!

TomBusI returned to the bomb-site and took some extra pain-killers to try and quell the intentions of Anne Gyna.

WC’d – failed to pass owt again but blood from the haemorrhoids flowed. Tut!

At least Arthur Itis is not too bad today.

Ballet2Laptop on and started this diary – Coreldraw9 not froze yet.

Sod it, it has now!

Did some graphics all the same, just took more hassle and bother.

AndyBusThese three are wot I dun of the TFZ lads.

Thomas (An actual Train engineer).

David, with his dog Spike.

Meritt and me on the stagecoach delivering citizens and Wells Fargo mail.

I nodded off for an hour or two and woke up with the torn muscle under me ribs very painful again – Gnash! Maybe I moved awkwardly in me slumber, or sneezed? Either way I’m in agony again.

Tsk!

Inchy Today Thu 9th Mar 15: Incorporating A Photographicalised tour of Nottingham Pay-day Loan Sharks!

Wednesday 18th March 2015

Mess of a night again sleep-wise, my current habit of nodding off any-time anywhere isn’t helping I suppose.

I eventually awoke around 0630 hrs and did my best to remember the dreams I’d had – but nothing at all of any detail came to me – although I remember telling myself more than once ‘I must remember and record this…’ but no notes found?

WC’d.

Not sure, but I have a feeling something needed doing today?

IMG_0015I stirred and went and made a cuppa and a pot of porridge and got the now working laptop on to start this diary. Bit of a cock-up on the porridge stakes though, I thought I’d got a pot of plain porridge and out some honey in it – it turned out it was a pot already flavoured with golden syrup – er-ugh… far too sweet to eat. Tut!

Tried to do the header in Coreldraw9 and it let me do so without freezing for once.

Eventually go missen scrubbed up and while doing me teggies I remembered the clinic visit!

So hobbled a bit faster so as to get missen ready and be there on time.

Walked to the clinic intending to catch the bus back to town to have me photographicalisical trip around the Cash-shops all within 5 minutes walk of each other on Upper Parliament Street in Nottingham.

After the clinic (All fine) I realised I had not got me bus-pass with me – Huh!

0402MR1

Set off on walk today

Walked back to the hovel and collected it – came out again and amazingly I felt good enough to walk into town then – worrying that!

0402MR2As I approached the Hucknall Road lights I heard the sound of klaxons and got my camera out to await the arrival of the emergency vehicles, it turned out to be two ambulances, the traffic was light.

0403MRartSome Nottingham pavement Art interested me near the college…

What it was confused me – it might have been food judging by the bits of something scattered around the main body of the artwork, I think I saw something moving from the bowels of the… whatever it was?

0403acctvAs I hobbled on, ever alert for any photographicalisational opportunity th might arise – I spotted sparks coming from the CCTC at the traffic lights on Mansfield Road as I came into the City proper.

I realised later that I’d taken a shot of the old school building clock in the background -it’s now a Community Centre for drop-outs etc.

0404noheadHouse of Fraser had a display of some mannequin legs in jeans and shoes sat on a bench – they did not have any torso and I suppose were a way of saving costs?

Very odd looking to me – how many customers are they expecting who are headless and bodiless? Still, it shows they care about the minorities dunnit? Hehehe!

0410slabI wandered up and onto Parliament Street, down to Long Row to take a few photographs of the Spiv-Money shops and into the City Centre – where I found a Market with 20 or so stalls selling a variety of overpriced impractical rather upper class goods.

There was little interest being shown.

0411Cycl

My first Nottingham pavement Cyclist of the day spotted.

I wandered back up to Upper Parliament Street and took photo’s of the selection of the immoral pay-day loan, pawnbroker, cash lenders, money-sharks whatever you wish to call them situated on that road.

TFZ06

0412CyclThe second Nottingham pavement Cyclist spotted, the git didn’t half the lady jump as the ignorant animal sped passed her.

0412woverI made me way down to the walk-over and took a snap – again showing the Nottingham pedestrian citizenry’s total and flagrant lack of interest in road safety.

0413vicI walked through the Victoria shopping centre mall again taking a photograph from above of the Boost juice bar – I have yet to catch anyone actually using it and buying anything from it?

Down to Tesco for me bread, ice-cream lollies and cheapo min-swiss rolls

By golly I live well!

0414vicCame out from Vic centre near where they were demolishing the old Radio Nottingham car park, much to the entertainment of the workers watching.

Hobbled over to Trinity Walk, with surprising ease today, despite my having walked for so long and far, Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna were both being kind to me.

TFZ01I spotted some… er… ornaments in the jewellers shop window and took a snap of them

They were really expensive, I just wondered what they were?

I caught the bus back to the flea-pit, just starting to feel a bit weary now.

Got in and put me bits away – made a cuppa and had three microwave burgers in bread thins with a bit of BBQ sauce, two lollies and a banana – the Queen doesn’t eat better than wot I do yer know.

Had the nosh and fell asleep.

Woke a couple of hours later and got this done.

Phoned brother-in-law Pete to see how Sister Jane and he were doing. He’s got the flu now, but Jane is a tad better.

Took me medications, passed wind and WC’d.

Did some facebooking and posted this off to WordPress.

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today: Encarcerated in the bathroom! – Sun 8 Mar 15

Sunday 8th March 2015

I lay there trying to recall the dreams I’d had during the night, and I moved – just a tad – and the agony form the torn muscle was excruciating to say the least!

I know I should have expected it after yesterdays Whoopsiedangleplop in Derby – but degree of pain still shook me to the core.

I managed to get down and make a cuppa and somehow climb the stairs back up to the bathroom and laptop.

I took me medications with a cuppa. One good thing about this torn muscle torture is the bleeding haemorrhoids, Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis, duodenal ulcer etc are not such a worry as usual. It replaced them. Hehe!

Took an extra pain-killer again, tended to me rear end cleaned and medicated the area, pain-gelled me knees hands and feet putting some on me ribs.

Well, I thought, today movement is definitely out of the question for me.

Heather ModelMarieGCcamSo took the opportunity to get to work on creating some Facebook and blog graphicalisationing.

0W04Spent hours on it – and although Serif Draw x6 crashed, Coreldraw9 as yet has not played up – I may regret saying that later!

Well it happened an hour later, Coreldraw9 crashed – it would not let me close it althought it offered an option box and I selected ‘Close Coreldraw’.

Had to force close the laptop and then more problems when I tried to restart.

The usual incorrect power source message, pressed to bypass it using F1- when after a long time in loaded, messgaes telling me to click box to solve Windows computer problems.

A list came up and I sent the message – one of the problems sent was 94 Coreldraw stopped working ones – no solutions try again later came back.

Oh dear…

Tried Coreldraw again. I’d lost a lot of work I’d done – clabberknockshunts!

Restarted and it did it again – tried Serif and the same thing.

Really pee’d off now – pain and failure – huh gobblewockers and shangiblubber!.

Reet fed-up I got summat to eat.

Suddenly overcome with tiredness despite the niggling sharp pains every-time I cough sneeze breath in sharply pass wind/sneeze or move I’m going to take me medications and try to get me head down early.

Nighty night folks.

Inchcock Today: Odd night last night – Friday 6/3/2015

Friday 6th March 2015

A lousy night last night – didn’t nod of until around 0400hrs then kept waking up every few minutes. Remember looking at time at 0630hrs then drifted off – the mobile rang it was Sister Jane – apparently I’d called her a few minutes before?

We had a natter, she’s feeling better so that’s good.

Drifted off again and didn’t wake up until about 1130hrs.

Got myself beautified took me midday medications (Far too late for me morning ones).

Seems me innards are on the turn again, this time into not wanting to evacuate – spent yonks on the porcelain to no avail – the message from me innards told me I needed to go, but nothing happened.

The pulled muscle seems no worse today so things improving there, Anne Gyna not bad at all, ulcer perfick, Arthur Itis okayish, haemorrhoids no bleeding but stinging a tad and reflux valve sticking a bit again.

Received INR results and dosages, 2.6 so going in the right direction now.

Fri01

Fred and Fatima this morning

Got the stuff sorted and nibbles into a carrier bag for the Nottingham Hospice charity shop.

Set off, feeding Fred and Fatima on the way out of the house.

Very windy again, but not cold with it at all.

Noticed hoodies lurking in ST Johns churchyard up to no good I’ll be bound.

Fri02

Nottingham Street Art – one

Bit of Nottingham Street Art on the corner of Church Drive.

No many folk around for a Friday.

Up the hill passing the cordoned off by police St Johns church community centre that was burgled last night – I considered taking a photo of it, but the comminatory look the police officer gave me ensured that I forgot the idea in  a flash.

Fri03

To Sherwood along Mansfield Road

Up onto Mansfield road and down the hill into Sherwood.

The sky was bright, the people few, and down to use the local library loo!

Fri04

Facing back towards Carrington from outside the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop

Unfortunately it was closed due to vandalism and I had to suffer. Then up to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop where I gave them me bits and their nibbles.

I called at the Continental food shop and got a loaf of bread and two slices of their mixed seasoned belly pork.

Fri05Arthur Itis started to play up a bit and as I left the shop I was concerned about finding a loo rather urgently.

I noticed that there were three disability scooters were outside the pub today.

Notice I was keeping on the other side of the road to avoid the possibility of the drunken scooter drivers running into me in the event of their staggering out well sloshed like.

Fri06Onwards up the hill and on the corner of Mapperley Street more new Nottingham street Art in the form of a rather pathetically unskilled bit of graffiti spray painted on the wall that the Restaurant owner had re-plastered and painted a month or so ago.

I do dislike this so called Street Art and the antisocial apprentice yobs and nerks that do it.

Fri07Up the hill and a walk through the side streets coming across this sign that had been torn down a lamp post and had a bracket broken off it – and some writing (Presumably thought witty back the perpetrator/author) had been added in marker pen at the bottom of the sign.

But I could not make out what it was supposed to say.

More Nottingham Street Art?

Hastened me pace and got back to the dump in time to get to the porcelain – success this time.

Made a cuppa, made some sandwiches of the belly pork and got a mini pork pie with pickle out of the fridge.

Started the laptop and watched a DVD while eating me nosh.

Life of Riley or what eh?

Doing me header for this Diary Coreldraw didn’t play-up freeze or give me any bother at all?

Then when I restarted it to do some stuff for the TFZ page it froze repeatedly?

Int life confusing?

Actually slept for hours too – at last!

Some Fings wot Nottingham folk don’t say any more – not nowadays…

I’m sorry if some folk find these hard to understand – a little like me wiv women?

Inchcock Today: Hypodermic into his ticker

Thursday 19th February 2015

Last night I had braised beef in onion gravy with soft bread followed by a yoghurt ice lolly, mousse and my medications. Mmmm!

But the wind… of dear, very persistent and noisome putrid pestiferous poohs meritorious of the Houses of Parliament… that bad! Oh dear…

I got up late at o540hrs and beautified missen ready for me extra Queens Medical Centre Haematology INR level test.

No blood from me rear-end, gel on me knees and ankles and the bruise on me head was almost gone.

Made up a bag of nibbles for the nurses, made sure I’d got umbrella, bus pass, INR record card, cash, reading glasses, hearing aids etc.

Set-off in the rain so caught a bus instead of walking to town in case I gotted soaked again like on Monday.

0400

Chocolate Pound on the left next to a real Pound coin

Popped into the chemists first to pick-up me blood-release tablets that they had ran out of when I picked up me monthly dollop of medications, and had a bit of fun with the girl on the counter that went down very well and all four of the staff laughed with or at me:

When Safira gave me the bag of Trental tablets, I pretended to read it and saying out loud “Oh one pound eh…” Then produced my earlier prepared gigantic chocolate pound coin and handed it to her. A lovely grin came over her face and she turned to the others and showed it to them and wallah… everyone laughing at the same time.

I really got satisfaction from that.

Patients having a fag out in the rain – addicts each and every one – Bless em!

Bus out to the QMC where on getting to the entrance I was tickled to see patients outside, some in wheelchairs some on drips, outside having a fag under the No Smoking signs. Bless em!

I was soon seen to and the samples taken and had me injection of Warfarin straight into me ticker and was back out into the rain and on the bus back into town.

Swallowed me midday medications then I took a photo on the bus through the front window but for some reason found it was far too blurred – again – to use?

Evenin’ ‘all!

Getting the shakes is not doing my photographicalisational reputation any good at all!

As I dropped off the bus the Police paddy-wagon had pulled up a car and three plain-clothed officers were trying to ejecting the occupants.

The incident took place in front of the bus-stop my sister uses.

0401a

Plenty of buses in Nottingham this afternoon competing with the ebullient Nottinghomian citizenry for the right of way…

Wonder what they’d done?

I didn’t ask like.

I poddled up the stairs (Painfully) to the walk-over (Muggers paradise) to take a few of shots of the wonderfully, pleasant, happy, merry, joyous, contented, sweet, kind, philanthropic Nottinghomian’s on Upper Parliament 0401street in the rain.

Took a walk through the open market, but is was bereft of any choice, many stalls unoccupied and the owners of the stalls were obviously not happy as they glared at people as if to say “Yes.. you dare disturb me!”

John Lewis Department store window today

I had a wobble though the rest of Victoria Shopping Centre and the first window I came to as I entered it was the High Class (Claimed by them anyway, the prices Are high) John Lewis department store windows.

I was intrigued by the display  windows I must say, felt something was missing like…

I noted some shoppers coming into the centre who were absolutely soaked through.

0403city

Me attempt at an atmospheric piccy

So I nipped back to the walk-over to take a photo in the heavy rain in an effort to try and get another atmospheric one.

It didn’t come out like that really, but it did catch some more Nottinghomians crossing against the lights. Oh it didn’t… the lights must just changed as I took it – Huh!

Hehehe!

403ctesco

One of many of Inchcock’s Weaknesses

I wandered to Tesco and managed to get some cheesy seaweed and gravy granules, then had another losing fight with my conscience over whether to purchase some fresh cream French Horns or not to purchase some fresh cream French Horns…

I purchased some fresh cream French Horns. Tsk!

I slipped the pigeons some seed on Trinity Square as I made me way to catch the bus back to Carrington and the flea-pit.

Got rather wet between the bus-stop in Carrington and the front door.

WC’d hurriedly.

Got changed and put two beef slices in the microwave and made some rich gravy and poured it over them when cooked – had some bread and sauce with em followed by the fresh cream French Horns. (Guilty mode adopted)

Had a scrub-up took me evening medications while continually coughing sneezing and passing wind.

Watched a Heartbeat DVD while I ate me nosh.

I haven’t had a single evacuation from the rear all day… bit worrying that!

Tired out now poor mite that I am…

Shanay Walker murder accused pleads not guilty

A woman accused of murdering her young niece and cruelty offences has denied all charges against her.BBC02a

Kay-Ann Morris, 24, from Nottingham, is charged with killing Shanay Walker, who was found dead at a house in the city’s Bestwood Park area in July.

Ms Morris, of Beckhampton Road, is also accused of cruelty to Shanay, in 2012, along with the same charge against two other children, in 2011.

A second woman has also been charged with cruelty towards the girl.

Juanila Smikle, 53, of Easegill Court in Top Valley, Nottingham, has been charged with cruelty to Shanay and to four other children, dating back to 2011.

Both women appeared at Nottingham Crown Court earlier, and were remanded back into custody.

A trial date has been set for 15 April.

Horrendous!

Inspectors criticise Nottingham prison violence and poor conditions

Three wings of prison had to be locked down for three days because of ‘prisoner ill-discipline’, report reveals.

Emergency measures had to be taken to stop Nottingham prison from spinning out of control because of unrest among inmates last September, inspectors have revealed.

Nick Hardwick, the chief inspector of prisons, said that a week before a snap inspection in September, three wings at the prison had been locked down for three days “because of what the governor described as prisoner ill-discipline”.

Get caught for the crime – do the time… no longer applies it seems.

Nottingham paramedics quitting as stress levels reach crisis point

It comes as stark statistics reveal that the number of paramedics resigning and taking daysBBC0001 off work with stress has nearly doubled in the last four years.

A total of 87 paramedics have resigned their posts already this financial year, with 6,325 calendar days also taken off work with stress – a huge rise from 47 resignations and 3,151 days off in 2010/11.

And health experts say the workload in the service is just not sustainable.

Not glad to read this in my condition…hehehe

Crackdown on Nottingham’s problem with illegal cigarettes

BBC02aBootleg, counterfeit or smuggled cigarettes sold cheaply line the pockets of crooks.

And Jane Bailey, trading standards manager for Nottingham City Council, said: “There is an issue with counterfeit cigarettes in Nottingham and we are working with our partners within the police and Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs to tackle the problem. We would always urge anyone tempted to buy a packet of cheap cigarettes from a dubious source to think again.

A criminal activity surely brought about by the Governments over-taxation of the tobacco products?

Mansfield murderer Susan Edwards loses appeal

BBC02aA woman who spun a web of lies over 15 years after she murdered her parents and buried them in their own back garden has lost her appeal against her 25-year minimum sentence.

Susan Edwards and her husband Christopher, killed her mother and father, Patricia and William Wycherley, in Mansfield in 1998.

They then spent the next 15 years living off more than £280,000 of the dead couple’s money and creating an ‘elaborate charade’ to make people believe they were still alive.

The pair were jailed for life at Nottingham Crown Court in June, after being found guilty of the murders, and were ordered to serve at least 25 years each behind bars.

They should not have been given an appeal surely?

Three men arrested after a city centre fight which led to the death of a man have been charged and are due to appear in court

BBC01Muhamad Adnan, 22, of Middleton Boulevard, Nottingham, Callum Levi Ibrahim, 22, of Belfry Way, Edwalton and Azeem Khan, 28, of no fixed address, will be at Nottingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.

The arrests were made following a fight in Thurland Street, just before 4am on Sunday morning, in which Joshua Bradley from Bulwell died as a result.

A 24-year-old man will appear at crown court, charged with the murder of Bulwell boxer Josh Bradley.

Richard Johnson, of Belton Sreet, Hyson Green, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday February 12.

Wearing a baggy plain white t-shirt, dark blue trousers, and with his hair in dreadlocks, he spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

Johnson, who turned 24 just two days ago, stared at his feet, as the judge read the charge.

I wonder if found guilty, will he be given a suitable sentence? Oh of course not, we don’t hang murderers any more do we… just give them a few years being fed and free of financial worries for them then let them out to kill again…

Nasty piece of work – a suspended sentence – Huh!

Shoplifting mum fined after stealing twice from Sainsbury’s

BBC02A mother-of-two has been fined for shoplifting twice from the same supermarket.

It’s rife nowadays!

Shoplifter spared prison and given chance to reform

BBC02aA former heroin user has been given a chance to reform despite shoplifting weeks after being released from prison.

Gareth Freestone, 34, stole two bottles of aftershave worth £50 from Wilkinson in the city centre on January 22.

He pleaded guilty to theft at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday asking for 18 previous shoplifting crimes to be taken into consideration and was given a 12-month community order, where he must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work. He must also pay £150 costs. Freestone, of the YMCA in Shakespeare Street, was last jailed in November for a similar offence.

Defending, Emma Wyborn said he had previously used heroin but had been clean for five months. She said he stole the items to pay for “everyday things” as his benefits payments had been complicated by his time in jail.

Reformed?

Nottingham Serial Thief

BBC02aA serial thief stole more than £1,000-worth of goods from shops over the course of four months – as well as stealing hundreds from his 87-year-old grandmother’s bank account.

The court heard that the 34-year-old had stolen items such as perfume, joints of meat and a set of knives from shops in Eastwood and Giltbrook between September and January.

He had also stolen £380 from his grandmother’s account using her bank card, and admitted one count of fraud by false representation.

Brooks also pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to surrender to court bail.

Sentencing him to 22 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, chairman of the bench Keith Burd said: “We’ve given you quite a good deal. I want you to be under no illusion that if you fail to comply this time, you will not get a forth chance and you will go to prison.”

Scum!

Nottingham murderer still on the run.

BBC03Convicted murderer Mark Stoner-Seed is still on the run more than a week after absconding from jail – despite a nationwide manhunt.

The criminal, who torched a Nottingham house, killing a teenage girl and severely burning another woman, has been missing since Friday, January 23.

He had been released on a temporary licence from a prison in South Gloucestershire, but failed to return.

The 52-year-old is originally from Bestwood Park, and killed 17-year-old Christina Bunning when he set fire to a house in Forest Fields.

I’ll keep me eye out for him…

Two thefts from pay and display machines have been reported, one in broad BBC001daylight, in The Park.

Thieves plundered a pay and display machine by the Ropewalk at 3.15pm on January 11 and a theft from a machine at the same address was reported at 10.07pm on February 9.

In the local area crime update from Nottinghamshire Police, it was reported that a “serious number” of tyres were slashed overnight in The Park between January 28 and 29.

A burglary, two thefts from vehicles and another theft were all reported.

It was also reported that a “serious number” of tyres were slashed overnight in The Park between January 28 and February 5th.

Four burglaries, two thefts from vehicles, one mugging, one stabbing an attempted rape and another theft were all reported.

And The Park is a posh area of Nottingham!
