1Mon02WD128.0.0 03:25hrs: Morpheous, Morpheous, sweet Morpheous, where for art thou? Well, certainly not in the £300 second-hand, c1968, tatty-beige, rickety recliner in Woodthorpe Court! That’s for certain. Humph!

Any hopes of getting some sleep were abandoned, and I removed my oleogustus body out of the rusty but trusty, recliner. And, after a few seconds looking around, I remembered I had misplaced the stick. As I got in the hallway, there on the first clothes-hook, hung the naughty walking stick! In plain view! What a schmuck! How I missed it on my searching, I don’t know, but I was glad I found it. I utilised it and got in and on the Porcelain Throne.

1Mon06WD128.0.0 Oh, heck! What a painful, slow, drawn-out action. Still, at least things are starting to move now, slowly. The following wee-wee was of the rare SPSHPLWW (Short-Painfull-Semi-Hose-Pipe-like-Wee-wee) variety, for a change.

I took a snap of the amazing view outside. The sun and the shadows.

I got the computer on, and finished off the Sunday blog, and posted it off.

The following wee-wees were all of the SPWWW (Short-Painful-Weak-Wee-wee) mode. But not so frequent.

7Sun26I carried out the Health Checks and took the medications.

Back to the wet room, for an uncharacteristic Porcelain Throne session. An entirely different one compared to the first one earlier. Absolutely no movement at all, just wind. Despite all my excruciating, unpleasant, best trying-to-force things efforts. Not even any wind. Hehe!

I did the ablutions while in the wet room. Teggies, shaved, washed, dried, and made myself smell nice. The right leg began to shake just as I was getting the Sock-Glide ready. I decided after yesterdays Whoopsiedangleplop/Accifauxpa, to leave the socks on from Sunday. Too risky. The carer might help me later. (He didn’t)

WD128.0.0 I was still feeling a little rough around the edges. Of course, the shaking stopped when I got back on the computer! Oy vay, and Flumbleflak! With the new pains, well, aches in the feet, extra shaking and generally my feeling worse, I checked out the side effects of the Antibiotic tablets.

WD128.0.0 1Mon01aThe more common side effects of nitrofurantoin can include: Agranulocytosis; alopecia; anaemia; angioedema; aplastic anaemia; appetite decreased; arthralgia; asthenia; chest pain; chills; circulatory collapse; confusion; cough; cyanosis; depression; diarrhorea; dizziness; drowsiness; dyspnoea; eosinophilia; euphoric mood; fever; granulocytopenia; haemolytic anaemia; headache; hepatic disorders; idiopathic intracranial hypertension (Thanks to the Stroke); increased risk of infection; leucopenia; lupus-like syndrome; nausea; nystagmus; pancreatitis; psychotic disorder; pulmonary hypersensitivity; pulmonary reaction (possible association with lupus erythematosus-like syndrome); respiratory disorders; skin reactions; Stevens-Johnson syndrome; thrombocytopenia; urine discolouration; vertigo; vomiting; nausea; loss of appetite; stomach pain; numbness in your hands and feet; pain in your hands and feet; weakness; dizziness; drowsiness; red blood cell damage; liver problems; nerve disorders; nerve damage.

Most unfathomable, I seem to have had a lot of these side-effects before taking the medication? I imagine the lack of sleep can be put down to the Nitrofurantoin, as maybe the nerve damage making the right leg and arm jerk about and shake more now, the Axonotmesis and or Peripheral Neuropathy, as well? The Mary Potter nurses told there is no chance of redivivus for the nerve ends. By golly, I sound almost intelligent here. Hahaha!

WD128.0.0 I’m not a franion, but things will be, and nothing can be done, accepting things that cannot be changed, I find comfortable enough. Yet I worry and fret over anything to do with authority, banks, shops etc. I don’t know why I said that?

07:29hrs, the Carer, Jay arrived. In and out within a few minutes, Ankle-Support-Strapping all done.

I then felt a little down because there are not any more callers coming today. Well, the Medical Compliance Service is to call me to arrange a visit. I wondered what this title meant, so I had a look on Google. It’s a well-paid job, at least! Egad!

Still none the wiser 1Mon07as to what they do, though. But I’ll find out if and when he/she comes.

Off for yet another rather unpleasant SPWWW, again.

Time for a Nitrofurantoin, I  took it with some spring water.

I’m still dropping things a lot today. Nerve ends, I suppose. But it is vexing, all the same.

I have to stay in, in case the MCS Medical Compliance Service ring me to make an appointment. I could do with somebody with me when they come, but no one is available. Then again, will they call at all?

Got a landline call from a Stroke Team lady, (missed her name). She will be calling around 13:00hrs today to see me.

I went on TFZer Facebooking to catch up with them, and add some photographs.

1Mon07aThen, I took the Nitrofurantoin and made another brew.

The right leg still shaking now and then.

I was thinking of taking a picture of the legs, and for some reason: 16th-century Galligaskin Breeches came to mind; as a perfect partner to go with the longer bamboo diabetic socks? Just a passing thought.

WD128.0.0 I went on blogging, and everything froze on me in WordPress? A yellow bar came up, telling me that Grammarly was causing the machine to go slow. I could not type anything, so I closed the option to stop Grammarly. I looked in Chrome extensions, and it said that Grammarly was enabled. But when I opened it again, no Grammarly was available. After much-complicated efforts, I got a message to explain the problem to Grammarly. (This being half-an-hour later) Then it came back on again. Incapable and not intelligent-enough, springs to mind as a description for Inchcock! I am desperately short on Mazel Tov!

Leoni, from the Medical Compliance Service, arrived. She sorted the prescriptions out for me, then rang the Chemist to try and get a date for the blister-pack delivery of medications. The man who does the blister-packs is on holiday so he could not say? But the make-up of the new intermediate medicines for the shortfall should arrive in a couple of days. Very hit & miss, undivinable and iffy, that!

A confused Inchcock, again now! Nice lady, I thanked her, and off she shot.

I had an SPWWW, a wash, and the intercom rang. It was Kelly from the Stroke Unit Support. Then the door chimes burst forth with Dusty Springfields ♫I only want to be with you♫. She’d come to interview me about how things were, recovery-wise. We had a productive long chinwag, and she had ordered me a shower chair with a back on it, to be more comfortable. She then contacted the Audio Clinic and made an appointment for me. Bless her cotton socks.

I got the nosh cooking and called to see if Josie would like some cheesy-potatoes. She had a visitor and was going to go shopping. I said I’d wrap her potato in foil and she could collect it whenever she wanted.

Went on the WordPress Reader section.

Got the noshes sorted. Wrapped Josies in foil, and continued to demolish mine. A ate the lot. Which surprised me with my recent poor eating mixed with devouring all of the meal, almost alternately.

1Mon07c

Watched some TV, but didn’t want to fall asleep, with Josie calling and miss her. But I did nod-off. Woke up and worried that I may have missed the gal, I got her plate and visited her flat; all of the three paces from my apartment door. Handed her the prandicle, and she asked if she could do one for me, and what would I fancy. I said I’d have to give it some thought, she laughed, and I left her, wishing her well.

Back to the flat, and resumed my place in the £300, second-hand, c1968 rickety recliner.

1Mon07dGot up a while later to make a brew of tea, and noticed I had been nocturnal (for me) nibbling, and an empty bag of Marmite Crisps on the Ottoman! Guilty Mode Assumed!

Took a shot of the amazing looking sky from the unwanted, light & view blocking, impossible to get to for cleaning, thick edged kitchen window.

Sleep did not want to come anymore, but I did get-off later.

And as far as I could tell, no wee-wees of any classification were needed? The Nitrofurantoin seems to be helping, or not, I’m not sure. Sad innit?

Inchcock Today: Sunday 19th May 2019: Not one of my bestest days, Tsk!

Sunday 19th May 2019

Maori: Rātapu 19 o Mei 2019

wd 0.10.0 04:00hrs. After a terrible wee-wee interrupted sleep, I woke reluctantly, unwillingly and grudgingly, for yet another SWWW (Short-weak-wee-wee). I rose from the £300, second-hand, c1969, gungy-beige, tattered, moth-eaten, threadbare and often not-working recliner, and got upright, with hardly any difficulty this morning. Trudged limpingly to the wet room. About the twelfth visit of the night, or thereabouts. Due to spraying nature of the current wee-wees, I am using the WC, as opposed to the EGPWWB Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket, to keep the splashing onto surrounding things, to a minimum. Because the control of wee-weeing is intractable. Not within my grasp or abilities. Modulation of the bladder is impossible at the moment. Ululation Mode Adopted!

wd 0.10.0 Had to use the Porcelain Throne, and that was stressful, it was hard work encouraging what bit that came out, to come! If you know what I mean? A bit of bleeding, but the solid nature of the evacuation meant it was far less messy this time.

wd 0.10.0 I got the wash and brush-up, teggies, shave, etc. done, and another wee-wee was needed.

7Sun01wd 0.10.0 I hadn’t noticed earlier, but by gum, the skin was pasty-looking and anaemic-like, again. I wondered if I was really alive or was I dreaming? Hehe!

The left hand suffered a Colin Cramps attack. However, it didn’t last long, and I found this surprising.

Then, as it calmed down, the lower arm went red, and the hand and fingers whiter than ever!

I must say because one cannot see the rust, the £2 second-hand charity shop wristwatch looked a bit on the posh, with its new £10 strap. Haha!

wd 0.10.0 I thought that yesterdays performance with the Sock-Glide was funny, but today’s trials were much more testing and trying, yet so amusing.

7Sun11a

The legs had one bigger than the other again, both merging with the rest of the body, in showing pallidity. The Sock-Glide performance was Charlie Chaplinish! I got it level, and the first sock over and clipped in place, easily (almost!). Getting it on, was a different thing altogether! I got myself sat on the Throne, and the metal guide out flat in front, as I slid the foot into the sock, the right hand and leg started off on a Shaking Shaun episode… However, the long bamboo socks hide the pot-marks nicely. Haha!

5Fri004wd 0.10.0 Then, I slipped off of the Porcelain Throne, and got tangled up with the Glide on the floor, knocking the stuff off of the floor cabinet! And found myself laughing about it! Klutz!

I struggled beyond words to untangle myself and get back up again. I thought I might get my telegraph from the Queen before I was back upright.

This was the first case of the leg Shakes coming, at an inopportune moment, for me. So I can’t complain. Not sure how long it took me to get back upright and sort out the mess, but I had to start anew with the Sock-Glide. The bruises blended in the many I already had, apart from one (I assume) on the bum! No photo available. Oy-Yoy-Yoy!

Getting the first sock on proved time-consuming, embarrassing and painful. But, I think getting it on, was about as funny as it could possibly have been! Thankfully, the left sock fitting proved far less bothersome. Hehehe!

I offered a prayer for my luck to change.

I made another brew to replace the one that had gone cold.

I got the computer on and did a graphic for later use on CorelDraw. Then updated the 7Sun03Saturday blog and posted it off.

Anon, the carer arrived and soon had the Ankle-Support on the leg, and it is working fine. I emailed this photo of him, on the right to him, but, the email address was not recognised by Google. Bother!

I took the medications and new Nitrofurantoin tablet.

wd 0.10.0 During which I realised I had stupidly left the hot water tap on! No hot water then, until tonight. At least I had got the ablutions done first this time. Looking for silver lining there, Haha!

wd 0.10.0 Back to the wet room for another Porcelain Throne visit. Which was much like the first visit. But the following wee-wee: what a difference this time. I almost needed another shave, by the time it stopped coming! Still not controllable, but a little more pressure this time. I think an excellent acronym might be, an ELUWW (Extremely-Long-Uncontrollable-Wee-Wee) Tsk!

wd 0.10.0 7Sun25aNo hot water to wash the hands with, so I went to the kitchen to boil the kettle to use. While in there, I opened the unwanted, uncommonly thick-framed, light & view-blocking, extra window panes to wash that one cannot even reach, the needing the use of the step-ladder if one wants to see over and the ground outside to check if any fire-engines are there in response to the Fire Alarm, That I cannot hear anyway, new windows, and took some shots of the slowly brightening day.

A distance shot using the panorama button that doesn’t work anymore.

A shot below, taken blind, so as to avoid using the step ladder, as my luck has not been all that good this morning. Whoopsiedangleplops galore, as you might have noticed, already!

Then a close up one at random, of the Elmswood Gardens and the Rise area, opposite the flat.

The one element missing, is there are no human tellurians in view anywhere.

A lot of work to be done on blogging today. So, I made a start on this blog, up to here, and then went on to create some drafts and page headers to use later. All that concentrating had tired me out. Poor old thing!

I seem to have been dropping things from the right hand and walking into things a lot today.

Josie called at the flat, and gave some bananas, tomatoes, then called back with some potatoes! Bless her, my pleasure to do the Saturday nosh for us both.

Got the shakes again, feeling tired, so stopped on the computer, and made the nosh.

7Sun27

Well, at least I ate all of the food this time. Slurp!

Not feeling too good, had a sit-down, and watched TV.

Tired as I felt, sleep would not come. Watched the gogglebox for ages, in between a few more SWWWs.

7Sun28I got up and took a couple of photographs through the open curtains of the unwanted, work-making, mega-thick-framed, multitude of glass to be cleaned that I cannot reach, rain admitting balcony windows, of the sun setting.

Bad I felt healthwise at this moment, the beauty of the view did not escape me!

The right foot began aching more than hurting. I struggled and got the Ankle Support off early, 7Sun29but the ankle aching continued?

During the nipping to the WC and into the kitchen, I realised that the walking stick had hidden away. Tsk! Had a proper search and seek session, but where it had gone was beyond me.

Then the Colin Cramps started; a lousy bout this time. Still no sleep came!

I must have nodded off, eventually. Gawd knows how late in the morning, cause I woke up at 03:30hrs, and gave up on kip, and rose with the ankle still aching and feeling not a little rough?

Inchcock Today: Saturday 18th May 2019: I felt so lonely without the medical folk calling. Hehe!

May 18

2019 May 17a

Saturday 18th May 2019

German: Samstag, 18. Mai 2019

04:25hrs. I woke, feeling so sapped and narcoleptic. This, despite my having just been in the arms of Morpheus, for the most extended sleep I’ve had in years! (At least I think I had). And yet unwanted ignavia, persisted? I believe that I’d slept for about eight-and-a-half hours!

Thinking about it, I suppose the therapy exercises with Nurse Sue yesterday, might have taken more out of me than I thought?

I heaved my crassulent torso from the £300 second-hand, c1968, gungy-beige recliner, and took the two steps to use the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket). I was benumbed when I found it almost a third-filled. I have no recollections of waking up to use it during my nocturnal head-down? I shall resist telling you of what it looked like, apart from unnatural. I added to the quantity without much pain for once. Still thick and coloured a pale yellow, damn it, I’ve told you now. Hehe! A new bowdlerisation or an acronym for today’s latest style of wee-wee would be a TCRWW (Thick-Colourful-Reluctant-Wee-Wee). But more aggressive than those of recent days. It seems the Nitrofurantoin antibiotic tablets are doing their job, I hope.

I took the medications, including the Nitrofurantoin, and carried out the Health Checks.

Then off to the wet room, for a shave, wash, teggies and scrub up. Applied the pain gel generously on the Arthur Itis and Axonotmesis affected legs and knees. Then Haemorrhoids Harold was creamed. The next job, tackling the Sock-Glide, which was a log, difficult job today. PPs and togs on. Deorisational spraying and aftershave applied. Both pairs of Spectacles cleaned. Hearing aids de-waxed. Olive oil inserted in both of the lug-holes. And off to make a mug of tea.

WD173.2.2 On the way to the kitchen, the right arm, hand and leg went off on one of their Shaking Shaun episodes, a vicious one. Nothing could be done, so I just waiting, glad that no one was there to see it, and waited for the bout to stop. Luckily, I had the walking stick with me when it arrived. The fingers were reluctant to stop the shakes, but all the other affected areas calmed down to a stop for me, in about ten minutes or so. Much longer than usual.

WD173.2.2 I made the brew, and got on the computer, to update yesterday’s diary. Which was a little farcical! With the finger ends jumping all over the place each time I hit the keypad; a lot more time correcting was spent than typing. Then, just to make things a bit more interesting, the violent sneezing started! Humph!

The Carer, Anton arrived and soon had the Ankle-Support fitted. He’s mastered the job now.

WD173.2.2 Back to the computer and: Most annoyingly…Virgin (2)

I battled on against the ailments, the Liberty-Global Internet and repetitious amendments, and got the post finished and sent off, eventually. Worra life! Hehe!

I made a start on creating the draft for this post. When another Shaking Shaun episode arrived. But this one only lasted for the more usual few minutes. I began to type again and realised I had to take an antibacterial tablet. So took it, and made another cuppa. Then I got the potatoes baking in the oven.

Then onto CorelDraw to make some Page Headers and Thoughts to use for tomorrow’s blog.

Josie called. I plan to get the meal ready for 13:00hrs, so she can get the bus put to visit her family in time.

6Sat29Stopped computerising to take care with the nosh.

Delivered Josies, then got mine sorted.

Again I couldn’t eat it all, but the cheesy potatoes got devoured completely!

I think the new medications are making me more tired, lose my appetite, and struggle with the wee-weeing. Tsk!

Josie returned the plates etc. I’m so glad she enjoyed it.

Did the washing up, took the antibiotic tablet and settled down to watch some TV. I was soon asleep again, a deep one.

But the need for another wee-wee woke me up (luckily!), and things were changing for the better I think. I passed what must have been half a cup. That’s more then I have moved in a long time. So the Nitrofurantoin is working with the infection.

Back down in the £300 second-hand recliner, and nodded off again.

Woke in need of another wee-wee. Washed up and took the medications, changed into the nightwear, and again nodded off.

Woke up to use the Porcelain Throne, but things were still hard and solid, although a little evacuated, painfully. Humph!

The rest of the kipping was intermittent throughout the night. I kept waking with a different problem or worry on my mind each time. It was heavy going.

Inchcock Today – Friday 17th May 2019:

May 17

2019 May 17

Friday 17th May 2019

Haitian Creole: Vendredi 17 Me Me 2019

WD 51.51.153 5Fri00101:40hrs. I woke, I noticed the legs were a little different again. Boy, were they pale and anaemic looking. The left one still had far more water retention than the right leg. Is there a name for ‘Leg Watching’ I wonder?

WD 51.51.153 I soon sensed the need, dismounted the £300 second-hand, gungy beige, rickety recliner, wobbled a bit in standing – then lunged for and used the EGPWWB Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket. With a resulting releasing of what must have been more content than for weeks, now. Only an SSPWW (Short-Sprinkly-Painful-Wee-wee), but it might have half-filled a small cup, and that is more than I have managed, as I said, for weeks now! The pain was worth it! Thank heavens for Nurse Jemma yesterday, and her getting me some antibiotics! ♥

5Fri002I limped along to the kitchen to put the kettle on, and get the health checks done. I realised that I had not had any Colin Cramps last night!

The Sys 121. The Dia 63, both much lower than yesterday. The temperature was 35.4°c. The new medication doses are far less now, as can be seen in the blue pot lid. The scales are now hidden behind the two walker-trolleys in the spare room, so I used this as a self-excuse for not weighing myself. Guilt-Mode-Adopted!

Thankfully, thanks to Jemma getting things sorted for me, the following prescription medications in June will be blister-packed, all bar the Warfarin which will come separately, as the doses change all the time. She really has helped sort things out for me. She earned her wages yesterday, bless her!

WD 51.51.153 I made a brew and got on the computer to update the Wednesday blog. It took me a long time this morning. Partly due to the mistakes I keep making from the shaking fingers and inattention, and the other reason, I had to break off at least eight times for an SSPWW!  I used the WC for these, and was, despite seeing the state of the legs earlier, I was almost horrified to see how pale the rest of the body was. I considered taking a photo but decided I could manage quite well, without seeing it myself. Humph!

When the blog was done and dusted then sent off, I went to make another mug of tea. And it dawned on me, that the wee-wees had stopped. I’ll see how long this last for. I must try to remember the Nitrofurantoin tablets at 10:00hrs, 14:00hrs, and 18:00hrs.

WD 51.51.153 Well, fancy that, I just took two SSPWWs in the EGPWWB, within two minutes. I spoke too soon!

Time to get a wash and shave, teggies and dressed, etc. A bit concerned about the shaking right hand and leg today, I’ll take care when shaving. Back in a while.

Blimey, I had three SSPWWs while doing the ablutions! Then they dried up again? Got all spit and polished, shaved (one little cut, no… I tell a fib, it was two, Hehe!), teggies, scrub up and dressed.

The shorter-wider topped 5Fri005socks were adorned.

WD 51.51.153 Me using the sock-glide, really ought to be filmed and sent for a comedy award of some sort or other – it’d be a winner! I can see the headlines now; Nottingham’s nearly toothless Pensioner Inchcock’s Sock-Glide Farce, beats all to win the British Comedy Award for the best Medical – Whoopsiedangleplop of 2019! “Sock-Glide Company Sue”! Hahaha!

5Fri004The face had a little more colour, but then I had just had a shower and bleeding shave. Hehe!

I made a brew, got the antibiotics put on the calendar as a reminder. I made them for 06:00, 10:00, 14:00 and 18:00hrs, I’ll check with Jemma to see if that is okay, later. Taking them with fodder is essential the advice leaflet reads.

While washing, the right leg did one of its shake, rattle and roll performances. I could have sent a clip of that to ‘You’ve been framed’ perhaps. It must have looked to anyone watching like I was having an electric shock down my right side. But these episodes never last long, and somehow, oddly, even I find them funny. (Not when they catch me out and cause injury, though. Haha!)

The tea had gone cold, so I made another brew.

5Fri003aIt looked a little precipitation threatening. As I opened the new unwanted, light & view blocking window, now with extra glass to clean that we cannot even reach, in the kitchen, it started to spit rain. But it was still a beautiful view!

When I was taking the picture, I swear my nephelococcygia recognised a shape of a fish up in the clouds. But I’ll be blown if I can see it now.

I had a bash at the headphone connections again, and they are working? But the sound is muffled. To me, anyway.

Called to see Josie a few times, but she was out. Hope she’s enjoying some time with her clan.

The wee-wees were the same for the rest of the day, but less frequent, SSPWWs.

Nurse Sue arrived around 10:20hrs. Nice lady, who commenced the occupational therapy exercises with me. Gently and kindly, though. We also had a jolly-good natter at the same time. What seemed like a day-and-a-half later (Hehe!), Sue had to leave me. Boking another visit for next week… or the week after, whichever. Fitting the gal in the medical calendar was fiddly. It is already pretty full. Hard to get anything else done. She said I could nip out to get my potatoes now. I hobbled to the door with her and said my farewells and thanks.

5Fri007I’m looking forward to her next visit already.

I had missed the bus, but no bother.

I decided to walk slowly and carefully down Winchester Hill and get some bread and potatoes for tomorrow’s cheesy-potato-nosh.

5Fri006Out and down the hill, as I say, nice and steady with the three-wheeled-trolley. The trip went well, without accifauxpa or incident. There were very few Nottinghamians about on Mansfield Road.

WD 51.51.153 I called in the International Food Store, to investigate what large potatoes they had on offer. Oh dear! Not very good, they were a little motheaten looking and cracked with shoots growing out of them! The shelves looked a little barren.

5Fri007aWD 51.51.153 So I walked up to the fruit & veg shop… only to find it had Closed Down! A sad state of affairs!

So I crossed over te Abdul’s store on the other side of the road, in search of a Polish sliced Sourdough loaf.

WD 51.51.153 But none available!

5Fri007bWD 51.51.153 Back over the road and called in the co-op. Where I got some baking spuds. But the fresh food shelves there were even more barren than in the other shops, minimal choice or options. This was not good for a Friday, and very depressing for anyone with a family who were hoping to get in the week’s vittles.

5Fri08I moved up past Hall Street, making my way to the bus stop to catch the L9 back up Winchester Street to the flats at Winwood Court.

A little busier here, the bookies and cheap alcohol shop probably the main attractions. Hehehe!

Surprisingly, there were none of my fellow residents at the bus stop. So, a lonely wait and ride up the hill home.

5Fri08aAs I got off the bus, I could see Mary coming towards me from the other end of the road. But, no doubt due to the magical time-space continuum’s tear in the fabric of space, and or the ghosts and goolies of Winwood Heights, it was as if I blinked and she was gone? This photo proves I did not imagine Mary being there… but where did she go? Another mystery not to get solved!

5Fri09Apart from the legs and feet, I was in pretty good knick. I took a photograph of Winwood Court as I made my way down Chestnut Way.

WD 51.51.153 Called to see Josie, but she was not in.

Weariness dawned. All that effort, just to get two potatoes, hehe! But worth it, for me to do some Cheesy-Potatoes for Josie and me, on Saturday. I got the nosh sorted, and it was a disaster of sorts.

WD 51.51.153 For the appetite had gone again. Despite the meal looking, tasting, and smelling fair to me. Only ate a little of it? Why? I wondered if the Nitrofurantoin may be a cause of this? One of the many possible side-effects is loss of appetite? Now I’ve taken a few more tablets it may be affecting me?

The plate when served, and how it ended up.

5Fri11

I got washed, took the medications, removed the Ankle-Support (Not without some grunting, pain and curse words, hehe!), and settled n the £300 second-hand, c1968 grotty beige recliner. Sleep came early, easily and quickly. The occupational therapy exercising helped I think.

WD 51.51.153 Deep in sleep, and the mobile rang. I tried to answer it, fumbling about and the Axonotmesis nerve affected fingers, ensuring I made a mess of replying and it rang off before I could answer. I rang Jane back, and she rang me again. We had a chinwag, although not a lot of it remains in my memory. I was so deep in sleep. I must get in touch later, I think she has another problem, with her eyes this time. I must find out.

Getting back to sleep I thought, would be a problem. So I watched some crap in TV. Turned it off, and within fifteen minutes I was back in the land of bliss!

Inchcock Today – Thursday 16th May 2019: Caroline, Sonia, Jemma, Muhsina and Inchcock gathering in the flat – Yee-Ha!

Thursday 16th May 2019

Chichewa: Lachinayi pa 16 May 2019

WD0.51.102 03:25hrs. After a night of oh, so many WPSWWs (Weak-Painful-Spraying-Wee-Wees), that together would not have filled a small cup. Naturally, I was still tired. I woke in need of another visit to the EGPWWB Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket (And peed-off, Hehehe!), out of the £300 second-hand, c1968, grotty-beige rickety recliner, and to the bucket. I reckon I passed enough this time, to wet a cotton wool bud, but not saturate it! I must tell the nurse about this ongoing problem.

WD0.51.102 Then as I was getting myself balanced and sorted, a call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, and with some urgency about it for once. Unhesitatingly, and with high hopes, I grabbed the stick to facilitate a quicker journey time, and shot (Well, that may be a little overdoing it), to the wet room. Where to my surprise, a motion was passed at last! Painful and not a lot, but more than for days now. A multi-coloured offering; that left a frowsy, mephitic aroma, that I hope will hold no pheromonic content. Haha!

I wish there were a kind of panchymagogue available over the counter, I might have tried some. Hehehe!

I sorted the morning medications and had a search again, for the thermometer. (I found the box days ago), but the machine needed finding. To my own amazement, I found it in a 4Thu02drawer I must have searched in several times this week. What a putz! 35.4° Low, was the reading.

I got some Gungo beans marinating in, tomato puree, black bean sauce, mustard, demerara sugar, and balsamic vinegar.

I got on the computer and updated the Wednesday post.

I believe that my blog, is a way for me to desarcinate my problems, and write in such a way, humorously; that it may encourage readers to have a laugh at my antics and Whoopsiedangleplops. And I get the satisfaction in return when it does. I don’t know why I said that! Hehe!

I got the post finalised and sent off, at last.

Then, I set about sorting the old hearing aids, cleaning, getting rid of the wax, and drying them and refitting. During which, the Carer arrived. New chap again, name of Chris, decent sort of chap. He got the hang of the Ankle-Support with the help of the larger photo I’d put on the computer, no bother.

After he had gone, the Axonotmesis ridden right leg went into one of its ‘Shaking Shaun’ Modes. Honestly, if anyone had seen it belting away on its own accord, they would have thought it was a comedy sketch! Hahaha!

WD0.51.102 Several more unnecessary trips to the WC, well for what came out, every WPSWW was nothing more than Inchcock giving out ‘Oohs and Arghs, as he lunged over the raised toilet, knowing he should have used the EGPWWB really, cause the few seconds of splashed needed cleaning up every time. Most vagarius! Humph!

4Thu001I started this blog going and made a Thoughts and a page top Brexit graphic. While listening to the noises from up above. Scratch, tap-tap bang!

Around 09:00hrs, I checked the calendar to confirm today’s appointments.

Afternoon sessions that are going to guarantee sleeplessness for me. But you never know nowadays.

I gathered the raffle prizes and nibbles in the walker-trolley, ready for the Social Hour at the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and the much-used emergency Toilet.

4Thu03aTook the nine black bags to the waste chute and set off down and out to the Social Hour. A long time since I’ve been to one, looking forward to it.

The legs and ankle felt reasonable this morning, as I plodded along Chestnut Way with my Three-Wheeled-Walker.

There were very few people about, and I did 4Thu04not see a single worker on site. Might be there tea-break time.

I limped along at what I thought was a fast pace, and was overtaken by a lady with her Three-Wheeled Walker. Left me standing she did! Haha!

I got a decent welcome when I entered the hut. I put the raffle prizes on the trolley, and Cyndy handed around the nibbles for me, Bless her! ♥

WD0.51.102 I spoke with Big Brian, getting the conversation going, and I sensed that I needed a wee-wee. By the time I had stood up, it was too late… I had an accident and the fluid escaped of its own accord! The embarrassment crescendoed, and I had to leave for fear of any smells that may humiliatingly show themselves. Thank heavens that I had the Protection Pants on, at least. Another Social Meeting ruined for me! This Stroke is making life so hard, wearying, worrying, debilitating, fatiguing, daunting, and stressful. Still, I’m still here. Na-na-na-nan nana! Hahaha!

I beat a quiet as a possible retreat, back to the flat and the wet room to freshen and clean things up. The shame helped me move faster, I think.

It may be all that time with the catheter on in Hospital that is part of the reason. I recall they were about to take it off so the body could get used to handling thins itself when  I found I had an allergy to one of the new medicines. That took a few days to sort out, by then, they needed the bed and moved me to the Residential Home at the Acorn, no, Oaks. So not much time for the bladder to get working again. I’ve not had a proper wee in eleven weeks!

4Thu05I did stop a minute to take a shot of Woodthorpe Court, though. Snapped it so quickly, I was surprised how well it came out.

As I got to the flat door, I pressed Josie’s doorbells, but no answer. I got inside and put the trolley in the spare room, and then to the wet room and washed my crassulent body, and put new fresh PPs on. I felt a little better but still self-conscious and aware of my Whoopsiedangleplop, and a little guilt-ridden.

My doorbell chimes rang out with Dusty Springfield’s “I only want to be with you” tune. It was Josie, she was in the shower when I rang. I asked if she would like some Cheesy Potatoes this Saturday, and she seemed agreeable to that. I get pleasure out of cooking for someone, it’s been donkey’s years since I have before. The conversation was not easy. Josie’s hearing worse than mine, and with my current hearing aids awaiting having new moulds fitted, and the old ones I was wearing seemingly gone to pot, it was, to say the least, an entertaining gossip. Hahaha! Cheered me, all the same.

4Thu06I stirred the Gungo beans again and got the computer on to update this post.

Went to make a brew, and took these pictures in the sunshine, through the unwanted, multi-paned, light & view blocking, this framed new kitchen windows.Bootiful!

The camera battery-light flashed. So, I put it on to recharge.

I used the new Panasonic to take this photo.

4Thu05a

I’ve got three medical staff coming to see me at the same time later today. That should be fun trying to hear what they say! What next can go wrong? I’ll take that question back. Please, I don’t want to know. Oy Vey!

Did some TFZer Facebooking and went on the WordPress Reader.

In the space of ten minutes, I had Nurse Jemma and a student nurse Muhsina, and Caroline and Sonia in the flat. Pandemonium reigned. Cause of having no hearing aids, things got a little confusing for me. Hehe!

WD0.51.102 After some initial sorting out, pandemonium, brouhaha, hurly-burlyness ensued. And it was good! Nurse Jemma and Muhsina were left in the flat, for her to try and sort out the medications for me. Caroline, Sonia and I went outside, to try out the four-wheeled-walker they had brought for me to try out. It is naturally more significant, but so much safer! Bless em! ♥ Plenty of comments from the gals as we passed by in the lobby. Haha! I took the camera with us, but I forgot all about it. Humph!

When we got back, Jemma had done an excellent job and took me through the current medications. She had called the doctors and the chemists for me. And arranged for someone from, ‘Medical Compliance Service’ to call and see me on Monday, about blister packs that she had also organised, and the new medications.

Caroline and Sonia, gave dates for their next visits, and we spoke of so much safety methods, antics, etc. and much more that I just cannot remember. The pair left, with me a more contented person for their visit.

Jemma went through the medications as were in the drawer. Told me not to use the Gee-up pills or magnesium at all again. Taking my pulse took about eight attempts and two machines.  I joked that I must be dead! Hahaha! Jemma, aware of my wee-wee problems, got me supplied with some urine in a sample bottle and she checked it against the listing. Seems I have a urine infection and need some antibiotics. Which she had already informed the doctors and arranged for a prescription to be sent to the chemist – then offered to fetch and return to the flat with them! Off she went, leaving me a pleased and happier person.

I got the beans stirred and on a low heat. And the oven warming. Updated this blog, again.

WD0.51.102 Jemma returned, with April’s prescriptions! She explained they had been forgotten about by Doctor, and the Chemist! She reminded me that the Antibiotic course could turn the urine green or brown, but this is to be expected and of no concern. The tablets are to be taken four times a day, with food, to avoid sleepiness and something else, I forgot what it was. They are named Nitrofurantoin.

She went through the bag and found several more medications that are no longer to be taken. I must take these to a chemist for destroying, or could give them to the ‘Medical Compliance Service’ man or woman, on Monday or Tuesday.

With helpers like Caroline, Sonia, Jemma, and Muhsina, the Stroke was almost worth it!

I was well shattered when they had all left, but in good spirits that someone really cares.

Updating this blog, and Nottingham City Homes Housing Patch Manager and Belly-Dancer Angela rang me. She had read the Inchcock Today and informed me I could use the shower any morning at 0700hrs. That was kind of her. ♥ I thanked her for her concern and kindness.

Got the nosh prepared and served up. Taking the medications, starting the antibiotics at the same time. I looked it up: Nitrofurantoin is an antibacterial drug used to treat urinary tract and bladder infections caused by Escherichia coli or Staphyloccocus saprophyticus strains of bacteria that are sensitive to this drug. By gum, that makes me sound clever, 4Thu07Hehe!

I did take a photo of the meal, but I had left the SD card in the computer. Gnash! I found out when I took this picture later. I had actually eaten all of the food! First time in ages. Must have been the attention of the ladies that perked me up! Certainly brought my appetite back! Hahaha!

And getting to sleep was no problem either… ZZZ!

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 15th May 2019: Whoopsiedangleplops at a minimum, but some daft ones had!

3Wed01aWd BLACK 02:45hrs. Woke after a cramp-filled night. Got out of the £300 second-hand, c1968 recliner; not without pain. The legs and feet were still suffering from the marathon hobble and physio exercises. A wee-wee of the regular lately, SSPWW (Short-Sprinkly-Painful-Wee-wee) variety, using the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket). It’s getting a little worrying, this lack of liquid-movement. I must ask the nurse today, if it is safe to take a Furesomide, with the legs not being too water-filled.

I made my way to take the medications and brew up a mug of tea. I made up three waste bags to take to the chute when I can get time, and no visitors are expected so I can get out.

Wd BLACK Got the computer going, but… The magnificent Global Liberty Virgin internet kept going down, and it was so frustrating. Grr!

Virg8 black

Finished updating the Tuesday blog, and got it sent off. During which I had three SSPWWs. A call to the Porcelain Throne was answered. Ye-ha! Evacuation at last! Painful, but I was so happy!

Made a start on this blog. Got the top two graphics made up, and the template, and kicked off, getting as far as here. The time now, for the ablutions, A shower, and shave, etc. I know I shouldn’t use the shower this early, but I really need to freshen up. Phew! Hehe!

Back in a bit.

06:43hrs. I’m back. All clean and refreshed, clothes on, Ankle-Support at the ready. Made a brew, and again on the computer (still making more regrets than beefburgers eaten by Elvis!). Two more pathetic SSPWWs taken during the ablutionisationing.

Worked on another draft template as I waited for the Carer. Who Shadas (The Care Supervisor) told me, could now arrive twixt 07:00hrs and 09:00 hrs. The carer (Umar) came at 06:55hrs, I was most pleased with that. He soon had the Ankle-Support on for me.

INR Nurse arrived early to do the Warfarin INR blood taking for me.  Then a nurse arrived, who had been booked in for 10:00hrs arrived early. Talking mostly about moods,

Smashing, if I rush  (go slightly quicker… perhaps), I can get the 09:30hrs bus. Hey-Ho!

The new hearing aid being useless, I put in the SpecSaver crap ones.

I got to the bus stop on Chestnut Walk. A hearing aid literally popped out of the right lughole and bounced several yards into the gutter. I retrieved it and put it in, but it was like the other one; of no use. No interest was shown in any gossiping with me at first, (Or maybe I could not hear what folks were saying?). Some residents came around later. Mary, Christine, and Stew shared a laugh on the bus to Arnold with me. Although it was a smidge on the farcical side as conversations go. All three of us either had no hearings in or those in were damaged. Good job the lip-reading skills are not entirely useless. Haha!

I took some snaps (above) while waiting at the bus stop.

I got off in Arnold, determined to try and get an extension cable for the broken one at home for the headphones. Of course, my having a talk to Mary, threw me off kilter, and I never got any cable. What a schlemiel!

Went in the Asda store, and wandered about, coming out with: a tin of chopped tomatoes with herbs, a milk roll loaf, rice cakes, mature cheddar cheers, cooked beef slices, and a tin of garden peas. The atmosphere in the store was terrible. I sensed a gloominess, satiated with a defeated discontentedness. Not from all the customers and staff, but a large proportion. When I did hear someone laughing, it made me want to investigate.

The closed down retail businesses I saw when I got out, added to the pessimism that abounded.

Paid at the self-serve till, and came out to nip over to the Fulton Foods store, to see if they any bargains, but they did not. But, I met Mary who was getting some flour, so we stayed together, had a look about and went to the bus stop on Front Street. Stew joined us later, and a conversation of great jocoseness was shared. I’m sure all of us were guessing what the other one was saying. Haha!

Mary watched the three-wheel-trolley-guide for me, while I took some photographs on Front Sreet.

Caroline from the top residential home got on the bus en route. I had a natter to her when we got back to the flats. Then went with Mary and Stew back to Woodthorpe Court.

3Wed05a2Got in the flat and realised there had not been ant wee-wees required. But once indoors, that did start again – persistently. But they were of the SSPWW variety. Scarcely a few fluid ounces each time. Humh!

Got the fodder put away, and got the mushrooms sliced and in the crock-pot on the high setting.

3Wed09I decided as I noticed a machine was free, to take the laundry down and get it going. Which I did. Got the clothes in an started, then returned upstairs, well, the lift to the flat. Where, I spent a while on the Porcelain Throne – with abject failure. Things felt hard.

By the time I got cleaned up and out of the wet room, it was time to go down to move the clobber to the dryer. Which I did. I was a little dubious about the rattling noise as the drum went round, and the filter was filthy, so I 3Wed07cleaned it first. I’ll mention this to Julie when I see her next. Up to the apartment, and got the computer on to update this blog. Until it was time to go down again, to collect the washing.

It’s surprising how big the amount of washing seems when it is dirty. The cleaned washing took up only a  half of the red bag, after being folded. I cleaned the drum and filter.

3Wed06Got back up in the flat. I’d used the three-wheel trolley to put the bag on, instead of using a stick. The good thing about this was I did not leave the stick downstairs. Hehehe!

I got the togs put away, and got the oven on to do the chips in later.

I was soon back on the updating of this post.

Another summoning to the Porcelain Throne proved another failure! Hey-Ho!

I made a brew and took the evening medications a little early, including an extra Senna. I hope they soon start working! Forgot this time, not to take them with a hot drink. Schmuck!

The landline phone light flashed. It was Nurse Sue from the Stroke Team. She had called earlier, but I was out! I realised what might have happened, or to be more precise, I recognised how I had made a Whoopsiedangleplop – even if I didn’t understand how. Having had three helpers this morning, and three appointments being on the calendar, I thought I would be free to get out to the shops. I thought the second lady was Sue, coming early. Does that make sense? I may have got confused with the INR nurse. Oh, I did feel bad about it. I verbally lambasted myself! The gal w3Wed08ill be calling again, on Friday at 09:30hrs.

The tea had gone cold now, so after another SSPWW (Let’s save time, and just assume the wee-wees came averaged two an hour for the rest of the day). Hahaha!

The view from the unwanted, light & view blocking new kitchen windows that have extra 3Wed10glass that needs cleaning, but can’t be reached, and needs step ladder usage to take a shot of the road below, was stunning.

There were precious few folks about anywhere nearby this late afternoon.

I was in the usual, feeling shattered mode again. Always the same in the afternoon for me.

Hello, another call to the Porcelain Throne. Back in a bit!

Ah-Ha! Movement! I sensed wrongly that things had been firm, but they were messy. So, at last, the Senna-Strikes! Hehe!

3Wed11I made a start on the nosh, and got some chips in the oven cooking. The meal was smelling and looking fair enough, but the appetite let me down again. I didn’t eat a lot of it. The words from Care team leader Shadas, and Sister Jane ring in my ears, “You must lose Weight!”

Got the shakes as I was doing the pots, but avoided an accifauxpas okay.

3Wed12Very tired, I got down really early.

I noticed the left leg was more bloated, and the right one was almost skinny? Might the Anoxonotmesis have some bearing?

The cramps came on again later, but not as bad as the last two nights; then again, I have not done so much walking.

Fell to sleep, but kept waking up for the most misleading and pathetic wee-wees ever! A few drops weakly dribbled out each time, then nothing. Until I would wake again later, and repeat the process. Most aggravating.

Eventually, they stopped bothering me, and a good four hours kip followed before I woke again, and it started all over again! Tsk!

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 14th May 2019: Mega-Busy Medical Visitations

May 14

2019 May 14

Tuesday 14th May 2019

Welsh: Dydd Mawrth 14 Mai 2019

wd 60-60-130 04:10hrs: Woke, and lay there sensing and searching to the pains, they were aplenty. Legs, feet, knees, etc. giving me discomfort. But not surprisingly so, after yesterdays long limp around Nottingham’s medical centres.

Eventually, thinking I needed the Porcelain Throne, (I was wrong). I extracted my body and limbs painfully from the second-hand, c1968 rickety recliner, and arrived at the wet room, it was apparent that things were still solid in rear extraction department, with no signs of any encouragement. The wee-weeing was yet again, of the SSPWW (Short-Sprinkly-Wee-wee). Messy!

The carer arrived, and with the aches and pains being bad, he put on my bamboo socks then, the Ankle-Support strapping on for me.

The limbs from yesterday’s two enforced on me, extra appointments and all the hobbling involved, were bad enough before the Social Services boss arrived later with his snide comments, and breaking off to talk to someone on his mobile, giving his location or what it will be later in the day. Making me feel redundant and even more of a nuisance to him, than I already am.

wd 60-60-130 He said he could not understand why I can’t fit the Ankle-Support myself. Then advised me that he was taking me off the current service level, and on to another. Which will mean Carer attendance will be from 07:00hrs to 09:00hrs each morning. Got me to sign three times on a document, that I have no idea was. This is bad for me, but I am only a patient. This means I could miss the 09:30hr bus every day, as I cannot use the shower because of the noise before 08:00hrs, and this will now possibly be put back to 09:00hrs with the new contract. Which will not leave me time to shave shower etc. in time to catch the bus, in the event of the carer coming later. Life is playing some nasty tricks on me in my old age.

The young, handsome, fit, tall and good-looking boss, then tackled the sink plug problem for me, and it is now working fine. A look around, and he departed. Bless him!

Virgin (2a)Dejected and despondent, I took the morning medications and had a wash, shave and did the teggies.

Had a go at updating this blog.

Sharon from the Stoke Team arrived. She had tried to ring earlier, that would be the call I had when I was shaving, and could not get to in time to answer. She said some of her requests were cut off? She wanted to know if she could bring a trainee with her. I said that would be no bother, and she called the girl, then went down to let her in.

I’m afraid I get carried away when someone comes to see me. I think I irritated Sharon a little, with my losing the plot, and wandering off the subjects. Silly old alter-cocker!

A long time was spent in discussions, questions, and answers, etc. Too long I think. As I said, due to my getting sidetracked from the reason they were here. Fool that I am! I showed her the photographs of the wounds, and they ask that I take off the screen. All the blood made Sharon feel a bit sick, Oh dearie me. So I removed them and apologised.

Perfect timing, though. As the two ladies departed, Caroline and Sonia arrived for the therapy session.

The two ladies showed interest in my Whoopsiedangleplops. In me, actually. After several hours of exercises. Therapy training.

My walking outside being assessed with the three-wheeled-trolley-guide, which brought some interest from Gaynor, Mo, The NCH Housing Patch Manager and opera singer, amongst other tenants.

So much was gone through and considered for safety, but I cannot remember it all. Just enjoying it. Sonia departed and left Caroline to do some assessment exercises with me. Ah, yes, I remember a bit more now; Caroline cancelled her Friday visit and moved it to Wednesday 22nd May. Ah, we checked something about the medications, I think Sonia is to ask a nurse to look into them for me.

I was obviously annoying again, with my drifting from the topics. Ahem! Well, I love em so! Humph!

During the morning, it is now well into the afternoon, many pathetic SSPWW were taken, and are still now. I think this problem, might have something to do with the medications?

When they had both departed, I nipped up to see Jenny. Only stayed at the door a few moments. It was so gladdening to see her again.

Got some cheesy potatoes mixed, intend to take a nibble to Josie to try, with balsamic vinegar. What a farce, my getting back to my 12th floor. I ended up going down to the ground floor and back up to mine. Hehe!

Took some photographs from the balcony and kitchen windows.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

2Tue01

Got the cheesy potato presented and went to see if Josie was in. But she wasn’t.

2Tue23Took the medicines and got my chicken thigh and cheesy potato served up. Josie was not in. So I put her potato to cool and go in the fridge later.

I got mine served up and watched some TV. The headphones are not working. Fancy that!

I burnt the meal a bit. Ahem! Can you guess what it was, originally? Hehe!

2Tue22Took the ankle-support off painfully, and got settled down in the £300 second-hand, rickety c1968 recliner, with my feet up high on the swivel chair.

The legs were of different sizes and different colours. But they both ached. Soon to be visited by Colin Cramps, and visciously so! Tsk!

It took me ages to get to sleep. When Colin Cramps eventually left me, the mind-control was handed over to my “Frustrations, Fears and Fantasising Forum” for an hour or so. To allow panics etc. to wander free through my poor brain.

I had to get up for one of my wee-wees, and yet another false-alarm on the Throne.

Thankfully, I dropped off soon when I got down again. I must have been tired, I reckon I slept for seven hours.

Inchcock Today – Monday 13th May 2019: Farcical Scramble to the Audio Clinic, then the Hospital, then home; and boy was I tired-out. Ah-well. Amazing memory prompters today!

May 13

2019 May 13

Monday 13th May 2019

Italian: Lunedì 13 Maggio 2019

00:50hrs. Woke up for a wee-wee, of the SWSWW (Short-Weak-Sprinkly-Wee-wee)  variety. Passed it in the EGPWWB Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket, and back to sleep.

01:10hrs. Woke up for another wee-wee, of the SWSWW (Short-Weak-Sprinkly-Wee-wee)  variety. Passed it in the EGPWWB Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket, and back to sleep.

03:25hrs. Stirred and very reluctantly got up, for another wee-wee, of the SWSWW (Short-Weak-Sprinkly-Wee-wee)  variety. Passed it in the EGPWWB Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket. Forced myself to go and take the morning medications. Made a mug of tea, which proved a tad risky with the thumb cumbersomely wrapped and soaked in blood. But I made one.

Got the audio centre and then the NHS Drop-in centre to visit today. I also have to replace the bandages, pads, and plasters used yesterday. These three tasks will take up most of the day, and leave no time to get anything else done. Oy Vey!

The computer turned on, and updating of the Sunday blog finished and sent off. Not comfortable or accurate, typing with a dirty-great plaster and bandage on my thumb! Even more mistakes than usual were being made. Grumph! Went on the WordPress Reader section.

I made a grocery order and sent it off.

Tried to have a wash and shave. Not very good, though. Trying to avoid getting the thumb wet. To early to have a shower. I was in a Fed-Up Mode, I couldn’t help it.

1Mon01aI did notice when I got pt the long sleeve shirt: the labels had the prices in Euros?

I was just about to set out, and the intercom rang out. It was the carer, which I thought I had cancelled. I tried to rush him to put the Ankle-Support on – which was a mistake because it was fitted very loose, and not much use. His boss called; said he was on his way as he had to see me urgently. I explained about my having to go to the Audio Clinic, and Drop-In Centre and the bus was due in fifteen minutes! We went down together out of the foyer, but we could not see the man. So, I made my way to the bus stop, getting there with- a couple of minutes to spare. I caught the 40 bus and was knocked about by the school kids as they massed on the vehicle at every stop en route to town. Hehe!

1Mon02I alighted the bus on Queen Street. I walked down to the Slab Square and began to make my way to the Audio Clinic, avoiding the Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclists as I sped along.

I say speed, not really. But despite the danger of the ankle going over, I was impressed with my rate of knots, although, I regretted it later.

1Mon06I stopped and turned back to take a picture on Little John’s bell housing. Pleased at the time showing. I don’t know how the busy bus got through so early but was grateful that he had done so.

I crossed over Market Street, and over to the other side of Beastmarket Hill, and up to Angel Row. The memories flooded back when I saw the Bell Public House. One of the haunts of my youth and drinking days was looking a little moth-eaten. But a sign said they still had four bars with four different atmospheres. I love the foot-tappers Jazz band that used to appear there, as well as other venues.

1Mon22

The weather was fine, just as well because with the mayhem when I left the flat, I’d forgot to take my hat with me! Hehe!

1Mon07cThe closed down Odeon Cinema is now a Nandos, with its three big and two small waste bins out ready for collection.

I’m not sure why, but I was pleased with this picture, how it came out. The shadows from the scaffolding, and sunshine from behind help, giving it some texture, perhaps. Not that know what I’m saying, but it sounds clever. Hehe!

Turned left and over what used to be Granby Street. It’s Maid Marion Way now, also known as Brian Clough Way to some folks. At least in 1962, it was Granby, when I started working at the Tesco store, which they had bought from Adsega, a South African company, who also sold their Derby store to Tesco, in Duckworth Square, where I worked later. Isn’t it amazing how the long-term memory can still work, and the short term dissolves? Well, at times it just doesn’t seem to take things in, in the first place! Haha!

1Mon07dI made my way to Park Row, the same place I visited on Friday.

This time things, walking etc. seemed to go much easier, and I surprised myself at how soon I got to the top of the hill.

And, without anyone asking if I was alright, or telling me I looked very pale! Hahaha!

To the top of the hill and around the corner, to the Audio clinic. Where the signs told me they were had Proud & Caring staff.

01 Header Inch

The Proud & Caring receptionist shook her head in response to my good morning. Adding verbally, “What do you want?” I was fumbling to get out the appointment card when she asked my name and date of birth. “Where is your appointment card?” I smiled as I fluffed getting it out of my pocket and said; “It’s coming…” and handed it to her. A smile almost came on her face as she told me to take a seat. Which I humbly did, and got the crossword book out. Although my efforts on the puzzles were abysmal.

A young man appeared and called out my name, and I followed him into a room. I explained the problems with the hearing aids and the lady in the room checked them out for me. The mould on the right one had become distorted, and I was instructed to make 1Mon08an appointment within two weeks to have a new one made. She changed the tubing for me.

I was all sorted and out in ten minutes or so; walking down Park Row, on the Marathon hobble to the NHS Drop-In Centre.

As I turned right in Postern Street, I could ee roadworks blocking the way. It was a bit dangerous making my way down the road with 1Mon08athe Trolley-Walker. But it got worse a little later!

Work was taking place in Nottingham Castle; it was all boarded up.

Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclists were all over the place, and coming from all directions it seemed.

WD153.41.102 A few yards further on, and the roadway was hob-cobbled and most uncomfortable as the trolley shook and rolled, and several times, the locking-grip opened, and 1Mon09the thing started to collapse! Once the roadway became better, things settled down – but the ankle went over just before the smooth bit of road, and I uttered a few well-chosen expletives out loud! Good job I had got the medicines earlier on.

WD153.41.102 Took a shot of the Robin Hood statue, that is endlessly being vandalised by the local yobbery!

WD153.41.102 I poddled with ever getting more rattly walker down onto Canal Street. Taking this photo of the oldest pub in England.

1Mon09aAfter a visit to Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, you’ll soon understand why this pub has survived the centuries to become a treasure of Nottingham past and present.

As England’s oldest inn, the pub is nestled beneath the cliff on which Nottingham’s historic castle stands, and was once a well-known pit stop for crusader knights. It is said that King Richard the Lionheart and his men are more than likely to have gathered at this historic royal dwelling before journeying to Jerusalem in 1189AD, thus giving the pub its unusual name. Something of a cross between an inn and a museum, the pub features several bars, cosy nooks and snug lounges filled with curiosities and relics of Nottingham’s history. You can enjoy a delicious pub meal every day between 11: am and 10: pm in the Rock Bar, where you can warm up next to the fire in Yorkie’s Lounge, or enjoy the expansive garden area when the weather is pleasant. Beneath the pub, cave cellars root deep into the sandstone cliff and, like many of Nottingham’s 800+ caves, have for centuries been used for storage of ale. Also located in the cellars is an old cockfighting pit and part of the Castle Gaol was said to be housed in the cellars at one time. This included the condemned cell, a small cell with a very low ceiling with small holes drilled to allow a little air to flow through. The Gaoler would have sat just outside the cells on the ‘Gaoler’s Chair’ which was etched out of the rock and can still be seen today.

1Mon10A little detail, to show what you are missing, folks.

WD153.41.102 As I passed the Nottingham Post building, another of the countless Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclists shot by. A shame, but he managed to avoid the work sign on the pavement. Damn and tarnation!

1Mon11Part of the works taking place was centred around the Broad March Centre, the tram station and the Magistrates Court.

I gave up on picturing the Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclists; there were so many of the ignorant, dangerous, toploftical, supercilious, arrogant animals about.

1Mon12WD153.41.102 But this dogbreath came so close to hitting me as I neared London Road to cross over near the new BBC centre. Well, it is for me. Hehe!

The draft he made as he belted by me from behind, nearly had me over.

WD153.41.102 Then the damned trolley-walker almost had me over! I was intent on 1Mon14picturing the nasty, uncaring, insensible, unaware, nescient and unconscious of his own bullying actions cyclist, I pushed the trolley over a crack in the concrete! Oh, I did feel a fool!

I risked life an limb getting over London Road to the BBC building.

1Mon23The Drop-In Centre, now named the Urgent Care Centre as I discovered, was a few hundred yards behind the BBC.

I got inside and wet to the reception. Where the young lady sneered contemptuously and me and offered me an elongated “Yyyyes?” by way of a welcome. I gave her details, showing my bloodied thumb. Utterly uninterested, she told me to take a seat, and someone will call me later.

I got sat down, with the crossword book out. Had a fruitless attempt at doing some part-done puzzles. An hour or so later, a nurse came out and summoned me into a room. I told of my Whoopsiedangleplop with the thumb. She took off the bloodied homemade dressing and took a look at the wound. This happening, brought some interest to the proceedings, and she said; “Gum, you made a right good mess of that, haven’t you?” she put a wet pad on the thumb and told to go out and take a seat, and someone will call you for treatment. As I was going out, the trolley lock jumped open again. “You must not use that, it’s too dangerous!” she quipped as I departed to the waiting hall.

A nurse called me into a room half-an-hour or so later. She asked how I did it, very embarrassing. Two stitches and some holding tape later, she gave me some self-sticking plasters with pad to use to renew the wound if needed. “If it goes any blacker or bleeds again, you must see your GP! See my GP? Who is my GP?… oh yes, I remember, just! Hehehe! The one who needs a week at minimum to give me an appointment.

1Mon15I thanked the nurse and departed. Planning on going to Wilko’s to get some replacement plasters for the ones used and blood-soaked last night.

Over London Road, up Bellar Gate, Belward Street, along Cranbrook Street. Left on Lower Parliament Street and along to Upper Parliament Street and the Wilko Store. Where I over-did the spending a little: I came out with Graze plasters, Lint, Sterile Adhesive Pads, Blue extra strong adhesive tape, fabric strapping and bandage crepe. Could have been worse, £7.90 spent.

A good 40 minute before the L9 was due, as I left the shop. So I called into the Poundland store and had decker at their medical offerings. Came out bearing Elastoplast fabric plasters, Porous tape, Adherent dressings, Waterproof plasters and crepe bandage. Much cheaper, at £6. Paid at the self-serve checkout, and out over the road to the bus stop. The feet, legs and ankle were all giving some grief now.

I took some photographs while I waited for the bus.

The bus was well crowded on the way home. When I got to the Winwood Heights, I helped Charlie off the bus and called in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Holding cells. Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic Area. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents porta-cabin. Oberscharführeress Warden and Hustle Model Julie was in working, and we had a laugh as I told her the days events. Said my farewells, and walked to the flats with along with Elizabeth, Cyndy and Eric. We managed a laugh or two, and Eric offered to sort out the sink plug for me, when I get one of the right size. Hahaha! Kind of him.

Got in the flat, and the SWWWs (Short-Weak-Wee-Wees) started again. Yet no signs while I was out and about? Odd that?

Took the medications and started to update this blog… for hours and hours… Oh dearie me! In between SWWWs of course. Well, it’s been a busy, messy day! Tsk!

1Mon33Got the oven on and started to do the sausages and part-baked cobs.

WD153.41.102 I knew I would not be hungry, too much tiredness for that. So I made only a small portion. But I was amazed to find I couldn’t eat all of it, nowhere near. The sourdough baguette only had two bites taken out of it. I was even too tired to make the sausage sarnies.

Soon settled down, very late for me. Full of aches and pains, seemingly coming from everywhere. With the mind muddled as it considered Tuesdays appointment, now increased to five!

WD153.41.102 Bad enough, but then just when I drifted off, the dreaded Colin Cramps started off! Legs and feet mostly. They woke me with such surprise, I knocked over the bottle of spring water, and the left foot shot out sending swivel chair into balcony windows, hitting the carers box and distributing the folders and paperwork over the carpet.

Life, eh?

Hawaiian: Lune 12 Mei 2019

WD 0.0.255c 05:15hrs. I reluctantly woke, despite having had a good six hours sleep, I still felt so tired. I spent a few moments deep in uhtceare, the mind stewing away. The dysania was beaten. I disentangled my plump body-mass from the £300 second-hand rickety recliner and got up on my feet. This was a painful operation, like the toes and feet, were hurting so, and the legs (Arthur Itis) were too! Getting to stand upright almost brought a cry of agony from me. Indeed, some quietly spoken curse words emanated from within, through gritted teeth. And that’s not easy when you only have few teggies left. Hehe!

This sudden activity was in response to a call to the Porcelain Throne. Maybe the Senna would be successful this morning. I limped taking care not to allow the ankle to go over this time and got to the WC, and hastily dropped them: then deposited my bottom on the Porcelain Throne (Well, plastic as it is now, Hehehe).

WD 0.0.255c7Sun01 The discomfort of getting the movement to start was memorable for its extremeness! But once this did activate, it was all over within seconds. To be followed by an LSPDOWWs (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-out-Wee-wee). I can’t recall taking so long in my life.

The legs were showing great albedineity again. Although maybe not as bad so. Then again, perhaps they were?

A long time later, I cleaned things up and had a wash. A change of clothes, and off to the kitchen to take the medications. Decision time again. I’m not anywhere near as confident in making choices than I was before the Stroke; Not that I was all that sure back then. Huh! Do I take a Senna or not with the morning doses? Had things finally freed-up? I chickened-out and didn’t take a Senna after all. What a ditherer!

A good bout of sneezing shook me up, they were a bit vicious. The right-hand fingers-ends were shaking when they came into contact with anything. I don’t know why I mentioned this; it is a regular occurrence. Took the doses of conventional medicines.

I needed another what I thought was an urgent wee-wee, but it wasn’t. This time it was in the SWDWW (Short-weak-dribbling-wee-wee) style.

7Sun02Checked the Ankle-Support I’d washed and hung to dry. It seemed suitable to wear, dry enough just about. Got it out ready for the Carer.

On more bout of sneezing, that lasted a little longer.

I got on the computer to add photos and update and finished. Then posted the Saturday diary.

WD 0.0.255c Typing is not going to be easy today. The nerve ends in the fingers are a bit jittery. Still, correcting errors had become a way of life since I got home. And today’s persistent, ever-present mind waffling isn’t helping. Oy Vey!  Then went on the WordPress reader. I made a start on this blog up to here. 07:20hrs. No carer yet, he’s not late though, it is still within the time range. I wondered if I had made a cock-up when telling yesterdays carer that I will have to cancel Mondays help, as I will be out on my way to the Audio Clinic when they are due to arrive. All, very convoluted innit? Life! Tsk!

Went on CorelDraw to do the graphics for tomorrows post. Didn’t get far with it at all, the Carer called at 07:50hrs. He’s got the better of the Ankle-Support and had it fitted within minutes. I confirmed the cancellation of tomorrows visit. Explaining the appointment to get the hearing aids needed attending, and showed him the timing for the bus and meeting. He confirmed it had been put off.

7Sun11Got the kettle on and made a brew. I checked out the prescription availability stock. I have only enough medications for one week, up to next Monday! Doing these checks.

WD 0.0.255c I had to have three more pathetic, dribbling SWDWWs. I did take an extra Senna and one Furesomide.

Red sky in the morning – Shepherds warning?

Another SWDWW. I think we can take it that these were coming thick and fast, but very slowly, all day long? Humph!

Made a brew again, and back to the CorelDraw to create the graphics for tomorrow’s Inchcock Today. Two hours later, I had got two templates ready to use. Phew! THree wee-wees during this period. But the last one was more like an LSPDOWWs (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-out-Wee-wee) So, I thin the Furesomide is working to free things? I do not like having to take drugs just so I can wee-wee or do something on the Porcelain Throne, but still, needs must I suppose.

I tried the Plastic Topped Throne. But the Senna seems to have stopped working, all I got was a little wind. Humph!

When I had cleaned up and gone to the kitchen, I wondered why it felt so warm in there. Then I remembered that when I washed the ankle-support last night and hung it to dry, I had increased the night-rate heater to help with the drying job, and had forgotten to turn it down again. Fancy that, me forgetting something. Haha!

I got the mushroom flavoured with some balsamic vinegar and Hoisin sauce, and got the slow cooker going. The finger ends were still getting the shakes and lack of feeling when I used them, especially when typing. And the sneezing spells kept showing up. Ah-well!

I must get a good shower t clean the crassulent body-mass, and scrub-up later, to save time in the morning. I shan’t do it too early so the shave will last longer.

7Sun11aI went on the TFZer Facebooking next. Plenty of knocks and bangs from above this morning?

Managed, hours and hours later, to complete a draught blog.

WD 0.0.255c Had a look to see if I could mend the rattling handlebar on the trolley-walker. Gave up again!

7Sun12Got the nosh prepared. Fries (Chips). Mushrooms and tomatoes. Ate nearly all of it, and had two slices of Polish Sourdough bread!

I turned off the computer and settled down with a drink of spring water.

Fell asleep for an hour or so.

WD 0.0.255c Put the TV on, but the headphones had broken and were not working!.

I decided it would be a good idea to ready things for the morning, and went through things I had to remember: Bus fare and times – Audio Clinic Cards, etc. Then I set about taking a shower shave etc.

WD 0.0.255c Which is when it all went wrong for me. I tried to fit the new sink plug, and realised I had bought the wrong size! Trying to mend the old one and gave myself a nasty slice cut on the thumb, that I can’t stop bleeding. Tried aftershave and Daktacort, then three plasters that were soaked straight away, and finally pads and giant plaster, then same again with soak pads underneath.

7Sun15Due to the shakes in the right hand, I reckon. Humph!

I put a plaster on it and continued shaving, teggies and took the shower. But the bleeding was unstoppable.

A right bloody mess all over the wetroom, shower curtain, WC and sink, walls… and me. You get the idea?

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The last dressing, I put on extra-tight.

I rang on Josie’s door to ask her if she had any plasters, as I have used all my stock up. Oy Vey! She suggested I keep my thumb-up. Hahaha!

WD 0.0.255c Huh, blood on the keyboard now. Huh!

I went on Facebook to report my lastest Whoopsedangleplop. Haha!

Well and genuinely tired-out now, but I think the bleeding is getting slower now.

Onto the £300 second-hand, c1968 rickety recliner, in search of sleep.

Sethoso: Laboraro la 8 Mayi 2019

Wd BLACK 04:15hrs. I woke and lay there gathering some minuscule resemblance of appreciation, comprehension, and perception of what the hell I was doing, where, and who I was! But concentration soon formed, and recognition and understanding were thankfully grasped and retained. But I don’t mind telling you, those few scatty-moments, scared the hell out of me! I really thought another stroke was taking place. Phew!

Now in my usual only slightly confused state, the realisation of the need for a wee-wee became urgent. As I extracted my cumbersome overweight body from the £300 second-hand, c1968 rickety recliner, it became evident that the right leg was a lot worse this morning. It took some effort to control the shaking, and the pain in the knee took a while and some painkillers to dissipate.

The stick-assisted hobble to the WC took so long: I thought an accident might occur. But I got there in time; In time for the most sprayed out weak trickle! A new name for this type of wee-wee was given. RWPSWW (Reluctant-Weak-Painful-Spraying-Wee-Wee) It took me ages after the pathetic five-second evacuation, to clean up where the stuff had sprayed. The WC, floor, cabinet, sink, etc. The antiseptic disinfectant bottle is running very low now. Haha! I reckon the leg shaking so badly made things worse.

I had a wash and did the teggies, and got dressed. Not easy, with having to use the time-taking Sock-Glide. Limped in not a little pain with the leg, into the kitchen. (That sounds like I took the leg with me, which I did, of course, I had no choice in the matter… I’m losing it again here! Hehehe!)

I got the kettle on and took the medications with an extra pain-killer. Within half-an-hour the knee pain eased-off, when I was not using it. Made sure the Ankle-Support strapping was all ready for the Carer’s visit.

I got the computer on and checked the calendar for today. 07:00>08:00hrs Carer to fit the Ankle-Support strapping. 08:00hrs Anticoagulation blood test nurse. 09:30hrs: Occupational Therapy Nurse.  Axonotmesis (injury to the peripheral nerve of one of the extremities of the body [Legs]. The axons and their myelin sheath are damaged in this kind of injury. Although the endoneurium, perineurium, and epineurium may remain intact), nurse – sometime today.

Went on the WordPress Reader section. Then updated yesterdays blog diary. Then on Pinterest to add some photographs. Checked emails and responded to messages.

Wd BLACK Again, I felt the need to make my way to the WC. This time was exactly like the first effort, but with the leg having steadied down on its shaking, I avoided too much ‘Spread-it-about-splashing’! Again it lasted only a few seconds but was a tad more determined this time. Then the need for an evacuation from the other end. At least I thought so, but only wind and pith escaped. Huh!

Wd BLACK Back to the computer, and started this Inchcock Today off. It was not long, before more signs of my needing the Porcelain Throne arrived again. So, not taking any chances, I made my way to the wet room. No luck at all. Wind accompanied by an unpleasant aroma. But a sprinkle and weak spraying of RWPSWW followed? It seems that both evacuation areas are somewhat reluctant this morning. Humph!

3Wed01aWd BLACK I washed and off to the medical cabinet and took a Senna (to encourage the back end) and a Furosemide (in the hope of proper flowage from Little Inchy). Made a brew of tea.

The mist was clearing away, and I took this snap of the view from the unwanted new, light and view-blocking kitchen windows. I used this picture for a later background to Inchcock’s Thoughts on CorelDraw.

Back to the Porcelain Throne. There was still no movement, although the senses tell me there should be? Oh Heck!

The carer is due to do the Ankle-Support strap for me. Ah, here he is! All sorted within eight minutes. This chap has got the hang of the Ankle-Support strapping now, bless him.

I went on the TFZer Facebooking, and put some pictures from yesterday on the albums.

The rather glamorous and highly desirable, but too young and good looking for me (Dam it!) nurse arrived to take some blood for the INR Warfarin anticoagulation clinic. After she had departed, I made a mug of tea, while her: oh, so appealing face tormented me in my memory. Well, I can’t help it! Hehe!

Wd BLACK I had a go at setting up the Coreldraw 2019, without any luck – made a right mess of it! I got in a right proper pickle! I gave up.

Caroline Sonia0935hrs: Caroline and Sonia, from the City Hospital Occupational Therapy Unit arrived. Much heavy going therapy followed, for an hour or so.

Sonia departed, leaving Caroline to do some Q & A and Therapy. (Aching all over, now, Haha!).

Lovely ladies, patient and kind. The session was finished around 11:35hrs.

I caught up with this blog up to here. And then took some black bags to the chute and recyclable stuff to the bins outside on the way to the bus and Arnold to go to Asda to get some bread and butter in.

Called at the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

Wd BLACK T’was raining, so no photographicalisationing on the way out. Met Frank in the hut and Cyndy joined us later, and a good gossip ensued as we waited for the bus. Cyndy got on the same one as I did, (For once I caught the right bus. Hehe!) A good chinwag en route. Cyndy kindly rang hubby Eric and arranged for him to 3Wed03call around 15:30hrs, to have a look at the wobbly handlebar on the three-wheel trolley for me. That was kind!

I dropped off the bus outside Asda and went in and got the shopping. Spent £10.40, so some will-power was used. Squash, Lemon Mousse, Potatoes (hopefully to be shared with Doris again at the weekend), Butter, mushrooms, turnip, carrot, parsnip, apple, and some Milk 3Wed05a1Rolls. I sneaked one in the freezer later for Jane when she calls again, but don’t tell her! Haha! Then over the road and some of the fantastic extra large eggs, to had to Cyndy or Eric helping. Some lemon ice cream and beef steaks on offer at Fultons Foods.

I thought I’d catch the L9 bus on its way to Bestwood, and stay on and come back all the way to the flats.

Wd BLACK When the bus arrived, the lady driver asked if I was going to the flats, cause this bus is on change-over and I’ll have to get off and wait for the next bus from Bestwood. “Fair enough”, I said, cursing my luck! She heIped me off at the terminus. It wasn’t a long wait though. That driver also helped me onto the bus when it came.

Wd BLACK In Arnold, a lady and her disabled wheelchair-bound son got on, and I moved to another chair to enable them to get in the disabled section. The kind driver helped them on and moved the lad and chair into position… belting on the right knee with the big electric chair as he did so. Apart from the pain, his intentions were good, Haha!

3Wed05a1aBack at the flats and I was getting weary as I walked back to the flat. Nobody about at all, but for me it was late, and tiredness dawned.

The weather looked a bit bleak, too.

And a wee-wee was much needed. Which I tended to first-thing. I may get out the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket) later on, for fluids burst forth, not vigorously, but there was no controlling things! A bit like the VSFWBWWWs (Very Short Frequent-Weak-But-Wayward-Wee-wees)

Put the bits bought away, got some spuds on the boil, and I made a start on this update.

Wd BLACK Eric and Cyndy arrived at 16:00 to have a look at the trolley. But Eric said, “Nowt can be done!” Ah, well, I’ll have to live with it rattling, then.

Got the oven on to warm up, ready for the beef steak.

Imbibed the evening medications with a drink of fresh orange juice.

Wd BLACK 16:00hrs: The hot water was cold! I presume that the electrics had tripped out again. It’s done that three or four times since I’ve been in the flat. But, I’ll have to wait until 18:00hrs to see if it comes on. I’m not the luckiest of people, am I? I’ll report it in the morning. No shave or bath tonight then. Tsk!

Depression Mode Engaged! With good reason this time.

Called to see Doris, who returned the book her offshoot had read and enjoyed. I asked if her hot water was working and it was. She said the heater comes on at 18:00hrs, so I’ll wait until then to see if it come back on, but my hopes and run of bad luck, along with my EQ, say’s it will not.

I suppose I can get a shave using hot water from the kettle, (hopefully, I will not get the shakes and cut myself or pour boiling water on myself), and a wash of sorts.

Wd BLACK Dispirited, everything seems to be going wrong for me at the current time, and I don’t like it! Humph!

Got the nosh served up, not that I feel like eating now – moroseness, self-pity, and lack of any good luck is doing me no good at all.

Got a shave of sorts. But, I am fed-up, disheartened, dejected, gloomy, melancholy and in the doldrums… oh, and demoralised! Enough is enough, surely some good luck is due to come my way? No, maybe not, then!

Wd BLACK And today I told Caroline that I do not get depressed!

3Wed05a2Wd BLACKPeed-off, I got the plate of unwanted food and tried to eat some it. I ate around 40% of it and didn’t enjoy any of it at all.

Wd BLACK I felt grumpy, irritable, churlish, cantankerous, and crotchety. To make things worse, I had to use the kettle and saucepans to get hot water to wash the greasy plate, etc. The same for a shave, going twixt wet room and kitchen!

Sorry if I do sound 3Wed08ratty… but I am!

Wd BLACK I decided to get a shower do the teggies and have a shave. I soon found out that the legs were getting back to their old bloated misshaped and spotty condition, with the anaemic, paleness, with different leg thicknesses that they were before the Stroke!

3Wed06I thought I was a little depressed earlier, with all that is going wrong again. Now things are getting enough to try the patience of a saint!

Wd BLACK While shaving, I kicked some bottles at the base of the sink, that I’m blown if I can remember them being there before – anyway the result was half an hour or so trying to stop the bleeding where I caught the razor on my head as fell over.

3Wed07Wd BLACK I finished the shaving and did the teggies, then got under the shower. Had a good scrub up. Afterwards, the head was still bleeding again!

I must try not to back-head a sink again, and try to gain control over the arm with the razor attached in future! Hahaha!

I wonder if I can sue anyone for this calamity of the ht water failing again? No, better not. Knowing my luck if the case went to court I’d probably get on the wrong bus and be defaulted. Silly Alter Cocker!

When I looked at these pictures, I realised just how pale I am looking. I might get some rougue foundation cream? Hehehe! Oh, I’ve just noticed, the hairs have gone from my shoulders and chest? Huh!

This Lucky Nottinghamian tried to get some sleep. But the hassle and failures of the day were bouncing about in the brain. So I got up and updated this load of tosh.

Wd BLACK Still no hot water, although the light had come on at the emersion heater?

Fed-up!
