Inchcock – Thursday 13th July 2017: Tenants Social Hour Today – Spec Savers Farce!

Thursday 13th July 2017

Haitian Creole: Jedi 13 July 2017

0430hrs: Bad night for sleep, constant waking up, which is not like me at all. Again, I know I had dreams and many of them, but no notes on the pad nor memories in the brain, Tsk! Tell-tale signs of unidentified crumbs found when I dismounted the £300 second-hand recliner and off to the Porcelain Throne. Peculiarly, Trotsky Terence had weakened his effects a lot. Well, on this session, anyway.

No enough time to get the laundry duties done and the Morrison delivery should be here twixt 0630 > 0730hrs. So I set about having a good stand-up wash, shave, teeth-cleaning and medicationalisationing of the various body parts in need of. Hehe! This took about an hour.

Then I got the kettle on the boil, took the morning medications and did the Health Checks. Weight the same as yesterday.

Had a wee-wee.

Had a short, sharp visit from Dizzy Dennis, took a step to balance myself on the counter and trod on and broke one of the retractable pencils I bought the other day. For a moment, apanthropinization seemed a good idea. A few seconds later and all was well. I bent down to pick up the pieces of pencil and graphite, and as Arthur Itis complained, I passed the wind and hastened back to the Porcelain Throne. Cleaned up and felt like life and I was incongruent, almost enemies?

While the computer booted, I popped out onto the balcony to take these photograhicalisations, tho show the progress of the updating works at the compound.

Started this diary off, then finished yesterday’s and got it posted.

4Thur06Had a wee-wee.

The Morrison man arrived.

Got the stuff put away, now the freezer and fridge are fully loaded again.

Two Tuscan Sausages & Mash in tomato and fennel sauce with roast red onions ready meals were on this order. I do not remember ordering them, but most likely I did, and forgot or I ordered the wrong things?

Emails and WordPress reading were done.

Had a wee-wee.

I had a strong IQ feeling of something coming that would involve my being embarrassed and/or confused later today.

Got the nibbles and raffle prizes in the bag ready for the Winwood Tenants Social Hour in the New Temporary Residents Shed.

Podded some garden peas ready for later.

Took the rubbish bags to the refuse chute.Had a wee-wee.

Had a wee-wee.

Set off with the bags to the Tenants Social Hour.although with going

The work is coming on outside our flats. Although with going

Further along the road, I took these of the new fencing in the centre front of the buildings.

Although with going into town to collect the new hearing aids from SpecSaver and the Biederbeck tape from HMV, I couldn’t stay too long or I’d miss the 1030hrs bus.

4Thur09Nice chinwag and BJ was there. Put the prizes on the trolley and handed out the nibbles. Didn’t have a drink.Got the raffle tickets and handed them out to the gals.

Bought some raffle tickets and handed them out to the gals.

Farewells to all, and back up to the apartment and got the hearing aids in, and down again and to the bus stop, where a right gang of old folks were congregating waiting for the arrival of the L9 buses.

I joined the clan and had a few good mini-chinwags.

Off on the bus, more chinwagging with Pete en route.

Dropped off and waddled my way through the Victoria Centre (Mall) and to the HMV store and collected the Biederbeck DVD.

4Thur10Limped into the Slab Square, where I found they had made progress with the erection of the amusements and Nottingham Beach.

I think it is due to open on Friday or Saturday this week.

The sun began getting a bit weaker later on, and the threat of rain lingered in the air and sky.

4Thur11

As I neared the Specsavers Circus of Woes, I took this picture of the entrance into Eldon Chambers, another little Nottingham alleyway. Before I could get the camera out, a young lady with three small ones toddling along with her and a pram walked into the Chambers and disappeared. Then I noticed the sign outside; Igloo Hybrid Ho(S)tel. Presumably, a cross between a hostel and a hotel must be in there? Somewhere I have not noticed before, and I planned to have a hobble up to take a look at after the Specsavers visit. (But I forgot when I came out, not surprising after what had occurred).

I went in Specsavers and to the reception desk. Told them I was here to collect my hearing aids and handed her the receipt. “You’ll have to take a seat… we cannot get to your aids yet…” She barked. I wasn’t going to argue with this Obergefreiteress, I can tell you. So, I took a seat.

Minutes later a lovely lady came to me, asked if I wanted a bag for the box with the hearing aids and whatever in it. I said no thanks, I have these bags here. She handed me the box and strolled off.

I was confused now. What about me being shown how to fit the things in the ear, the batteries, controls, do they actually fit my ear holes? Had I nodded off and missed something? What day is it?

05Thu12And like the daft soft Plonker I am, I just walked out with the box in the bag. But will the things actually work and fit?

I’ll find out later, I supposed.

Not really with it at that moment.

Walked through the Slab Square and up Queen Street to the L9 bus stop.

Caught the thing and on the way back, I tried to take a photographicalisation of some Nottingham City Homes ‘Sister Flats’ to the ones I dwell in. The shot came out luckily better than I thought it would, with the light fading and the bus travelling, not too bad. The balcony’s on these flats are the ones many of our tenants wanted here, but the cost was too high, they tell us.

05Thu13

On and up Carlton Road and when the bus turned left into Rose Hill, I took another apartment based photo.

05Thu14

This one is of Burrows Court, Sneinton. A tower block that was once full of life has remained empty for over a decade and has been described as an eyesore for local residents. The abandoned 19 storey building off Windmill Lane was built in 1967 and is soon set for a £12 million makeover. When it was occupied, t’was a haven for gangs, crime, druggies, muggings and subletting.

05Thu15

When I got back home and into the flats, the notice board revealed some disturbing news from Jenny, that I could have done without.

So much for the external and internal CCTV cameras, we pay rent for each week.

Fat lot of good they were?

Got in the lift and it was full of dirt and residue from the workers?

The bloke who got in the lift at the same time with me enjoyed having a good chunter on about it and why are the caretakers not cleaning it up straight away, as we have to pay extra for them… Oh, dear. If they did what he wanted, that would mean additional costs, cause naturally the workmen are doing eight-hour shifts and that would mean paying for the other caretaker, Tsk! Got so upset too he did. Hehe!

05Thu16

Up and into the flat, ignoring the letter that had been delivered, I had a wee-wee first, then investigate the mail. It was this leaflet.

Got the mushroom and peas on the boil to add to the Italian ready meal of; Two Vegetarian Sausages & Mash in tomato and fennel sauce with roast red onions later on.

As I got out the Specsavers box of tricks to investigate, the weather turned a bit glum.

05Thu22

Took the things out of the box, what the H4 Pro’s are I’ve no idea. The leaflet was one of those that cover about five different models at the same time, as far I could tell, my hearing aids had none of the extras mentioned? No volume control, no telephone control… a bit disappointed. Tried to get the plugs into the ear hole but just could not fathom out why they would not fit it? Put them all back in the box and decided to complain about the service or lack of it.

05Thu17

I used the Resolve site.

05Thu19

At least I got a reply, okay a standard reply from them (Specsavers), within a minute.

05Thu19aI noticed that they do not print the word Aids?

05Thu18Calmed down a bit and took this shot of the works below outside.

Really, I am not angry, just disappointed in their treatment of me and my own lamentable and dolorous response to it.

If only they knew the difficulties and hassle I have in getting to the Specsavers store in the first place.

Tsk!

2017-07-13 16.02.50The £900 plus, the box of Specsavers hearing aid equipment is now residing, sadly neglected and looking forlorn, on the top of my stacks of DVDs.

Humph!

Had a wee-wee.

Into the kitchen, got the meal in the oven and added two vegetarian sausages to it.

05Thu24Did the evening Health Checks and took the medications.

All were looking good. Well, the temperature was a bit low (29.6f?) I think, but not to worry all else is good methinks.

Checked on the oven, all looking good.

Picked out some TV programmes to fall asleep watching. Hehehe!

05Thu25Got the nosh served up – smell different anyway.

I didn’t think it looked too appetising at first after I’d added the tomatoes, the peas, vegetarian sausages and mushrooms I changed my mind.

The two sausages that came with the meal had skins that were so thick, I ended up sucking the meat out of the tube of thick 05Thu26skin, that reminded me of… well, never mind.

However, I ate it all up with great satisfaction.

Had a wee-wee and got settled to watch some selected TV programmes.

I don’t know why I bother really. Every time the adverts came on I nodded-off, woke not knowing what was going on with the storyline and nodded-off again!D

Worra Day!

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 12th July 2017: Whoopsiedangleplop with the Blood Test appointment

Wednesday 12th July 2017

Bosnian: Sreda, 12. Jula 2017

0500hrs: Woke, and sensed and began to assess the old and new aches and pains, feeling so tired and weary, heavy eyelids… an escapage of rear end wind, and out of the £300 second-hand recliner and hobbled to the Porcelain Throne.

Arthur Itis was showing displeasure with the walk there. Trotsky Terence ensured there was no struggling in the evacuation session. Haemorrhoid Harold bled freely, the aroma that filled my lungs and the flat were rank and offensive even to me! I feared it would not be contained in my flat, opened all the windows later and sprayed air-spray all around, I nearly choked myself with that, never mind natures gifted aromas. Hehehe!

A new pain, in the right side of the rib cage, caused me to quantitate the situation for a few minutes. This newbie wasn’t akin to the pains from Anne Gyna. Although they do vary all the time, on their location, type and severity?

Even Reflux Roger kicked off as I limped into the kitchen, what a start to the morning this was!

The rumbling and grumbling from the innards started too, as soon as I had finished the evacuation process.

Made a brew of tea and did the Health Checks. Took the medications.

Before I could drink the tea, I needed the Porcelain Throne again. As I performed the evacuation procedure (At least the odour was less vicious this time, but then again the residue from the first one, still permuted the atmosphere, Hehe), the new stabbing pain on the right started again. Cleaned up the porcelain, myself and wiped the contact points with Dettol lemon sheets. The tummy felt queasy again, and Steven Shakes paid me a visit then. Plonked myself down on the WC seat and it moved so much I thought I was going to slip off of it. But this was a good thing actually – cause it took my mind off of the other pains.

Back to the kitchen and made another mug of tea for the one that had gone cold.

Took an extra Anti-Diahorrea capsule and a 60g Codeine Phosphate for the rib area pain.

The temperature on the wall thermometer showed 59°f.

Opened all of the windows to help remove the Diahorrea Donald donated smells. Haha!

I decided that staying indoors would be a good idea today. Mostly the Porcelain Throne room door? Hehehe!

Took this photographicalisation of the scene below, through the kitchen window.

Then leant out seize this photograph of the brightening morning – Clouted my head on the frame of the window.

This seemed to work a miracle. Diahorrea Donald’s rumbling calmed right down, and Reflux Roger eased off very quickly? Things appeared to be improving a little. I’ve no idea why, just appreciative that they are doing so. Very queer?

Off to the Porcelain Throne.

I started the completion of yesterday’s post, had a wee-wee, had a Dennis Dizzy and then, back to the Porcelain Throne again. No excessive aroma this time, and far less splattering and pebble dashing activity. Good!

Did some WordPress reading and checked the Emails.

Had a wee-wee, then got on with starting this post.

Realised I was to go to the HMV store to see if the Biederbeck Three Series I’d ordered had arrived.

I can’t remember how I lost the original copy I had. Might have disappeared in the moving into the flat?

No doubt about being one of my favourites. Can’t, well, dare not go out today with the threat of Diahorrea Donald lingering over me. Tsk!

Went on Facebooking. After a while, I got a reminder box come up – of the appointment for the INR blood test at the Doctors!

Panic, there was no way I could get there in time, I thought. Everything hurriedly turned off, no wash no shave, got the bag of tricks that was luckily readied beforehand and made my way down to the New Temporary Shed, in search of someone who could ring the surgery to let them know for me, and ring a taxi.

Got down and out to the hut, but no one was about. I decided to leg it down to Mansfield Road as quickly as I could and catch a bus into Carrington. Still found time to take this photo though, as I turned right down Winchester Hill.

Anne Gyna and Arthur Itis both giving me grief as I rushed as much as I could. Got to the bus stop and one arrived as I did so. Lucky!

Dropped off in Carrington almost outside of the Sherrington Park Medical Practice and got in quick. Chest legs, knees and all of a flutter, and flapping a little. I reported with the Obersturmbannführeress Receptionist, humbly apologising for being late, and she pointed out I was in fact, only one minute late?

Seconds later, Nurse Nichol fetched me into her treatment room and had the blood taken. Gave her the nibbles, thanked her and departed; Still wondering how I got there almost in time? Very confused!

To the bus stop and caught one back up into Sherwood.

Called at the Co-op store and got some button mushrooms, fresh pod peas and bananas.

Avoided the Big Issue Seller woman who has two mobile phones and is often seen using both of them, outside the shop.

Then next door to the cake shop and obtained a fresh cream iced scone thingy.

Then called in the Children’s Charity Shop, nothing of interest.

Further up the hill and into the Nottingham Hospice Shop. Bought two red saucepans that didn’t look in bad condition.

As I waited to cross the road, this car pulled around the corner and parked up on the pavement, and the driver just sat there. The thing of interest was what I think are tyre skid marks across the road behind the vehicle.

I also noticed the crack in the bookmaker’s window, where the scores led to? My Sherlock Holmes head was working. Then I realised the crack was the reflection in the glass window of the outline of the grey car. Hehe! I shouldn’t be allowed out on my own!

At the bus stop, several other tenants joined me, and a good chinwag followed.

Roy, took one of the bags for me to carry back on top of his four-wheeled-trolley. Bless him.

The fencing around the place was now having steel boards attached to them, still in the purple colour scheme. I’ll try to get a photo of them soon. Annie, one of the tenants with us, pointed out that when they are up, we will not see any traffic coming and will have to walk on the road to get passed them. I thought not, but decided against not agreeing with Gordie gal Annie, that was not a good idea, disagreeing with her. Hehe!

A laugh in the lift going up, and into the flat and onto the Porcelain Throne. Not so bad this time, methinks the new capsule earlier, was working well.

Put the food away and got the new second-hand saucepans washed and on the cooker.

Podded some peas and chopped a few mushrooms up and got them into the Crock-Pot on low.

Had a wee-wee.

Does anything stick out to you bout this road I pictured earlier? Something singular?

Started to update this diary again.

Went on Facebook to finish what I started earlier before the confusion about the INR blood test.

Started some more graphicalisations off for the TFZer site.

Very tired now, and the new pain on the right side of the chest is getting worse.

Got the meal sorted.

Had a fish one. Smoked mackerel (Not very good), tomatoes (Fine), Fresh garden peas (Very good), Surimi fish (Very good), Sliced roasted potatoes (Overcooked, but I liked them), Mushrooms (Good) and beetroots (Excellent). 8.9 overall rating.

Settled to watch some TV, but again, it was interspersed with nod-offs. Tsk!

Inchcock Today – Thursday 6th July 2017: Winwood Tenants Social Hour Meeting

Thursday 6th July 2017

Russian: Четверг, 6 июля 2017 года

Jumped awake at 0100hrs – Struggled out of the £300 second-hand recliner and off for a wee-wee. Overall, another good morning health wise I thought. Anne Gyna was being a bit nasty with me and Roger Reflux too. But Arthur Itis, Duodenal Donald, Steven Shakes, Harry Hernia and Dizzy Dennis were all in a good mood and kind to me.

Got the laundry things ready and went down to the laundry room and got them in the machine. New notice on the board:

It was from Jenny, the flats coordinator, a former Woodthorpe Obergruppenfurheress Warden and tenant.

Back up to the apartment and got the kettle on, took the morning medications, A little early I realised after taking them. But I had taken the doses early last night.

Computer turned on and began updating the Wednesday Diary.

Very warm and close this beautiful morning.

Soon time to go down and move the washing into the dryer.

Popped outside, to take this shot (I still want to know what all these triple poles are going to be used for? Hehe!), luckily I’d remembered to take the foyer door swipe with me so I could gain entry back into the compound. Phew!

Up again, both of the lifts now working again.

Had a wee-wee and put on the kettle. Did the health checks.

Did the health checks, and very nearly, retook the medications! What a clot I am!

The pulse was 99, but I expect this is because I had been up and down the lift with the washing. When I took the photo of the machine and doctored it in Vinette, the pulse reading with the flash reflection looked like it was 299. So I doctored the 99 in the photo to make it clearer. Hehe, got me going for a second or two. I did notice that the pulse had been a bit erratic this week all through, though. The weight had gone down mind. First time for a while.

Did some more updating on the diary. Got it finished and posted off. It was time to go and collect the laundry again.

All folded neatly, cleaned the machines and filter. Lifted the bag and the handle came off!

Lifted the bag and the handle came off!

Picked up the clothing and shook the dust off of them and replaced them with the bag. Passed some wind, and hastily made my up to the flat, while fumbling to carry the bag, and the Porcelain Throne. The lifts have never seemed slower! Haha!

I made it in time, but only just. Haemorrhoid Harold had been bleeding since my last visit 3 hours or so ago. Cleaned things up and applied the medication cream. Wiped around, scrubbed my hands and out and back on the computer and started this Inchcock Today, off.

Went to make a cuppa, and saw that I’d forgotten about the bag of laundry I’d dropped as I got through the door in my haste to get to the wetroom. So I put away the stuff in the airing cupboard.

Looking a bit blue out there?

Checked the Emails and did some WordPress reading.

Facebooking next.

Had a wee-wee.

0536hrs: Started a TFZer graphics. Got these two done, both in monochrome style, and made look like an old photograph, best as I could.

Janet and Jillie in London, with Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson.

Thomas, in the old Nottingham Victoria Station, with a diesel and Steam locomotives.

Hope they like them.

Had a wee-wee, made a mug of tea and watched a video on YouTube before having to get the ablutions done in time for the Tenants Social Hour in the new temporary hut.

A good few resident there when I arrived at the new temporary shelter/shed. I was going to take a photo of it, but I’d forgot to take the camera with me. Huh!

Some of the girls seemed happy to see me. A bit of a job finding a chair to sit on, and had to sit next to a Winchester tenant chap who took up all the available moving room to and from the seat I had to use. Fair enough, the man had a stick with him and was rather well-endowed stomach-wise, very big, covered in tattoos and not very sociable.  So I did not bother him and asked others to let me in and out each time I needed to move, which was often.

Got up to put the raffle prizes on the table. Chinwag with some of the ladies and back to get the nibble bag. Had to get around the man again to distribute the nibbles above.

Then back, via the spread-eagled bloke to the chair and I had half a cup of tea and natter with Bill (William on Sundays).

Then I required a wee-wee, poor old Frank had to move again to let me through to the WC. The tall chap didn’t even seem to know the bother and hassle he was causing by sprawling out so far away from the table, bless him.

I asked a representative of the work team who was doing the upgrade, and he told me the poles dug into the grass, concrete paths and road all over the place, were to build security fences, for when the expensive plant machinery moves into the compound. I know now. Hehe!

Got some raffle tickets and had to fight my past the chap again to give them out to some ladies. Jenny was looking good. One last exertion to get through the chairs and I called it a day, it was encouraging too much hassle from Arthur Itis with the tall, rotund gentleman not moving at all. I thought perhaps he couldn’t. But he didn’t speak or answer me when I inquired how he was keeping. He only talked to a woman opposite him, and Jenny?  I offered a cheerful cheerio to the folks and left early to get back to number 72 and another wee-wee.

The Anticoagulation Record had arrived while I was out at the Hut.

Down to 2.8 this time. For some reason, the DVT is having a heck of a job getting the INR level up, although I thought 2.8 was not too bad at all, very close to the target figure. But they had increased the dosages anyway. But I must not turn into a vaticinator.

I made an Email for the Sherrington Park Surgery requesting an appointment as instructed for Wednesday 12th July as early as possible for the next INR blood test. I added the photograph I took of the Anticoagulation Records details, like a subtle sarcastic reminder that they have not sent me an Email with the changed dosages. I don’t suppose they will be interested really, though.

Took the midday medications and did the Health Checks.

Looking far more like okay, now I think compared to earlier.

Although the temperature seems to have dropped dramatically, from 36.1 (High?) to 31.9 (?)

Had a wee-wee. Into the kitchen for a brew of tea and notice outside down below in the bottom field near the Copse, was a gal with her two dogs playing ‘fetch-the-ball’… Well, I say two dogs. I had a real laugh watching them perform, I must say. The lighter coloured brown dog would race away and retrieve the ball, with the black running so far with him, then about half way to wherever the ball landed, he’d wait for the other dog to get it and run back to the girl with it and join in with him then. In the end, after twenty or so ‘Fetches’ like this, the black dog just laid down and rolled in the grass when his Mistress threw the ball for the other one to retrieve.

I was laughing out loud at the black dog’s antics. Hehehe! Loved watching them.

No rain at all today yet. It did say on the radio, some areas will get none, and others a ‘Yellow Warning’ storm?

A quick look at the news for Nottingham.

Apparently, this was Castle Boulevard twenty minutes ago.

This is how it looked from the kitchen window here, just over ten minutes ago.

A bit of difference then, I see?

Hehe!

Rechecked the Emails to see of any from the surgery had arrived. As I opened Gmail, it came through, from the surgery. I wrote in the paper diary and onto the Google Calendar. Wednesday 12th @ 1022hrs sent an Email back to them thanking them and confirming I could attend. A fair number of WordPress Emails, so I answered/responded to them.

Feeling well drained now, after another silly hour start to the day. Tsk!

Going to have something easy to make I thought. After which I decided on tomatoes and bacon… tonnes of bacon! Hehe! Then I realised I’d not got much bread in stock, so had a rethink. Gorrit, potatoes and bacon with some sweet curried baked beans?

Did the evening Health Checks.

Had a quick bash on Facebooking, then a wee-wee.

Had a wee-wee.

Got the bacon in the oven and watched a 15-minute video on YouTube while it cooked.

Anne Gyna and Reflux Roger both eased off – Nice!

Sister Jane rang as I went into the kitchen to check on the food. I’m overeating, and the wrong foods again and that is why I must cut down on bread and potatoes. She worries about me, blesses her cotton socks. Hardly dare print the photo of tonight’s meal. Hehe!

Got the fodder served up, and a great one it was too, taste-wise.

After I washed the pots and got down in the £300 second-hand recliner to watch a DVD before Hetty Wainthrope started on the TV, Shaking Steven paid me a visit. Not good, but at least I was settled and had nothing in my hands at the time. So, no Accifauxpa or Whoopsiedangleplop! Good that!

CorelDraw back on for a while. I updated this one below. Not easy with the fingers doing their own thing. Hehe!

Gave up after a while and got the head down – off I went into the land of nod within minutes.

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today – Friday 30th June 2017

Friday 30th June 2017

Kazakhstan: Жұма, 30 маусым, 2017

0400: Woke and found loads of scribbled note about dreams on the writing pad. None of the readable. Humph! More like wavy lines mixed in with written morse-code.

Up and off to the ProcelainThrone. Haemorrhoid Harold painful and lots of blood, too much. Anne Gyna, Reflux Roger and Duodenal Donald were all in a good mood. No Dizzy Dennis or Shaking Steven visits yet either.

It was looking a bit gloomy outside as I put the kettle on.

Took the medications and did the Health Checks. Sys 159, Dia 75, Pulse 75, Temperature 35.8, Weight up to 14.9!

Had a wee-wee.

Got the computer going and looked at the weather in the USA.

All sorts of weather warning on the map I looked at.

I’m concerned about the TFzers living over there with the thunderstorms and floods warnings.

When you compare the United States to the little UK area, it surprised me.

Started off this diary up to here. Then finalised yesterdays.

The alarm panel now has a yellow light flashing intermittently?

The headers I installed for WordPress, had disappeared. So I looked into the problem and designed new ones in the hope of correcting the problem.

Onto CorelDraw and tried to make it fit.

One page suggested the size in mm and the other in pixels, heck of a job converting them to inches. Huh! Took me ages, then I’m not sure if I got it right.

Had a wee-wee.

Took a break from computerisationing, and got the cleaning cloths and oven gloves washed out. Then realised, or rather thought to myself, how am I going to get the wet oven thingies dried?

Made a weak attempt with the airer and bowls underneath, to prevent any water dripping onto the electrics at the bottom. Must remember to keep changing the position of the cloths and oven mitt regularly.

Got garden peas de-podded and into the saucepan in water and demerara sugar for later.

Had a wee-wee and moved the oven mitts on the airer. Going to take ages this is, Tsk!

Back on the computer.

Found I had not posted the diary for yesterday, so I did so.

Email answering and comment replying done. One email was from the surgery booking my next appointment for an INR blood test for next Wednesday at 1430hrs – the swines know I like an early time as well! They will not be getting a bag of nibbles next week, the little devils! Humph!

You watch now, I bet the GUM clinic makes that day for the operation… or something will come up and send the plans into mayhem, I know, my high EQ just told me so! Hehe!

Had a wee-wee. Changed the position of the clothes drying on the airer.

Well, would you Adam and Eve it: Proof that my High EQ is still working, so soon after writing about it as well. Got an Email telling me of a Nottingham City Homes Assessment Meeting on… Wednesday 4th July at 1400hrs. I just knew this would happen!

Back onto Corel Draw.  Got this one of TFZer Janet and hubby with their servants. Including some of the TFZ lads and yours truly raking the gravel and cat sitting. Hehe!

Hope they like it. Posted it to albums and the TFZ site.

I took these photo’s from the balcony.

Had a wee-wee.

Did a bit of Facebooking, then back onto CorelDraw to start another graphicalisation. Got it finished. Jill from Australia with Russell Grant in her kitchen. Good grub about?

Had a wee-wee.

Turned everything off when Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Steven visited me.

Got the meal sorted.

Beef pie with extra gravy made, mashed potatoes with cheese and onion, garden peas, wholemeal bread and a lemon yoghourt.

Washed the things and rested, in fact, I felt drained.

Did nothing but try to watch TV, fall asleep, wake up for a wee-wee, try to watch TV, fall asleep, wake up for a wee-wee, try to watch TV…

Drifted off., woke up with the TV still on and remote control laying on my ample stomach, and thought I could smell something burning

Around 2350hrs, I woke up with the TV still on and remote control laying on my ample stomach, and thought I could smell something burning. Struggled out of the £300 second-hand recliner trod on something as I limped around looking for any signs of fire burning or food left cooking. Nothing found and the smell seemed to dissipate as I searched. Reasonably satisfied that there was no conflagrations or indications of any danger, I had a wee-wee and returned to the recliner. Whoopsiedangleplop! The item I’d trodden on was the DVD remote control, and it had split the plastic, and I had a bruise on my foot as well.

Did the well-belated last of the day’s health checks and the evening medications were taken.

Cleared the Accifauxpa area and mounted the recliner… woke up hours later with it still not reclined. I must have nodded off straight away?

Inchcock Today – Saturday 24th June 2017: Off for the hearing aid test that wasn’t?

Saturday 24th June 2017

Malayalam: ശനി 24 ജൂൺ 2017

0425hrs:  Out of the £300 second-hand recliner and off for a wee-wee.

Took the first of several photographs from roughly the same area through the kitchen wall over the next hour or so, showing the change or lack of change in the weather. Rain forecast for today.

Taking the morning medications, I realised I’d missed taking my last night ones. Huh!
Missing the Warfarin after all the trouble and hassle they have had over the past ten days, will please the DVT team, I’m sure.

Back in the wet room to the Porcelain Throne.

All-in-all, a good session. There was no bother from Haemorrhoid Harold at all, the first day in months that there was no bleeding. Good!

Anne Gyne, Reflux Roger and Harry Hernia were no hassles either. Good!

I felt that Duodenal Donald and Arthur Itis were both warming up for an attack. I’m not sure how I know these things, experience perhaps? Or my high EQ? Whichever or whatever, I was confident of the forthcoming annoyance and pain that is assuredly incoming soon, from both of them. I hope I’m wrong!

Reminded me of the need to catch the 1232hrs bus to get to the audio test.

Had a wee-wee.

Made a mug of tea and got the computer going. Did some WordPressing and checked the Emails. One from the surgery with the Warfarin doses after yesterday’s blood test. Telling me my next INR will be on 29 June. Whoever usually send these books out to me with an appointment and asks if it is alright and I reply straight away. Not this time. So I had to make a request for an appointment early. (So I can get to the Tenants Social Hour at 1000hrs – having missed the last three due to medical appointments and getting a little frustrated with it) Of course, being a Saturday, they will not get the Email request until Monday, giving only two days warning, and they will not be able to fit me in, I bet! Frustrated!

Facebooking caught up with.

Although not much heart in it after making a mess of it yesterday, I started a new try at the TFZ graphicalisationing. Made up some cut-out and adjusted photograph bits to use first. Long job, but I think I’ve got them right this time. Saved them to disc, then got on with the scene for the graphic.

Packed up sharpishly and got the ablutioning done.

Off to the new bus stop. Many residents were milling around also waiting for the bus. We now have a bench to sit on, no shelter yet but still, they are doing their best to help us, not that this prevented any of the many moans and quibbles that were being passed around between the tenants present, oh no!

One chap and his wife, who must have been from the Winchester block, was going on about (the Grenfell fire disaster was the current subject at the time). “I’ve never smoked” (He must have said this in his high loud voice about five times) “Smoking should be banned inside the flats and anyone weak enough to want to smoke should go outside for one!” He was probably trying to intimidate the few who were having a puff behind us. Never seen the chap before, but he looked very young compared to me and the others.

I wish I had been brave enough to mention his breath smelling of alcohol (Even tough it didn’t, it was just a thought) and suggested anyone wanting a drink should go outside and drink it! Hehe! Moan after moan about the works taking place. It must be a tremendous job for the Council to undertake. That will take over two years to complete the modernisation of the flats and has many difficulties to face, (other than the nagging of many of the residents). I think we are being pampered by the Council. Since I had to sell the house and move into here, I appreciate having someone to call on for help… fair enough it might take a few days to find someone free to help, but this is far better than having no one at all to help. Does that come out right?

Soon got into town and had a while to kill before the appointment with the SpecSaver audio hearing test, so wandered around taking some photographs of Nottingham centre.

It was soon time for the meeting.

Told the receptionist, a great one this woman would have been. I imagine she would have been of invaluable assistance as a Chef Oberaufseherin, “Chief Senior Overseer” in any of their concentration camps. Her superior snotty (Don’t you dare bother me!) attitude alone would have scared most inmates without threats of violence! Certainly, frit me!

She told me to take a seat in the waiting area. I wasn’t going to argue with her, so meekly I took my place in the waiting area! Got the crossword book out and within a few minutes a lady came out, collected me and led me into a small room.

Phenomenally good looking, short dress on and excellent, no, perfect chunky thought inspiring legs. I found it hard to concentrate as she quizzed me on my hearing history. Sweet natured patient lass she was. After an hour or so of hearing related discussions and few laughs it was decided:

I have far too much wax in both ear-holes to do a test today that would be accurate. Told to continue with, but increase the applications of Olive Oil in both channels to loosen the wax. Then I have to return on Tuesday  4th July at 1130hrs for have the wax removed and a test done. Usually, removing the wax would cost me £50 (Two @ £25) to have done, but if I purchase hearing aids from them, it will be free on this occasion.

I explained the discomfort of the current models I have, also the difficulty when it comes to changing and cutting/refitting new tubes. She showed me some in the ear aids. I liked the idea of them, but she was not sure if they would be powerful enough for me, but might be. They will know after the test. These were the cheapest in the range on offer too! This woman I believed and trusted, but the test will be done by someone else, the bloke who I spoke to on my last visit, who looked like a banker with his red braces and hadn’t started shaving yet I didn’t think? My confidence ebbed.

Thanked her and departed. It was a while before the last L9 bus of the day was due, so I had a hobble around for a while.

Went to Victoria Centre (Mall) and into the Tesco store.

Got some sliced sourdough bread and fresh garden peas.

Window shopped as I made my way out of the centre.

Noticed these ladies shoes in a shop window as 6Sat26I limped through Trinity Square.O

I liked the look of these a lot.O

Took the photographicalisation of them, so I cold put it on the TFZ site and ask the lassies there for their opinion.

Caught the bus back to the flats, didn’t see any of the other tenants getting on.

Got in the apartment and had a wee-wee.

Got an urge for some chips with the meal.

So made with Meatballs raw pod peas, beetroot, mushrooms and streaky bacon. With a BBQ sauce dip.

Along with a lemon yoghourt, apple and slices of the sourdough bread. Rated this one as 9.1/10.

Took the evening medications and did the health checks.

2000hrs: Attempted to watch some more of the new (To me) ‘Heartbeat’ DVD.

0425hrs: Woke up.

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 21st June 2017: Off to visit Sister Jane, hubby Pete and the Pussies!

Wednesday 21st June 2017

Italian: Mercoledì 21 Giugno 2017

0400hrs: Stirred thinking of the dreams and fell off to sleep again.

0455hrs: Stirred again and battled with the £300 second-hand recliner to get free of it and to the Porcelain Throne – Success again! Nowhere near as painful this time. It would seem that Constipation Konrad is weakening. A fair bit of bleeding made Haemorrhoid Harold unhappy. (Try saying that quickly when you’ve had a few jars. Hehe!) Cleaned things up and got the kettle on. Did the health Checks. “Sys: 154, Dia: 72, Pulse: 76, Temp: 34.6, Weight 14.71” Pondered on whether or not to take another Senna with the morning medications? Decided not to, for fear of encouraging any return visit from Diarrhoea Derek. I just may regret this decision?

Knowing I would be out for an extended time visiting Sister Jane today, I had a go at WordPressing, Email checking and Facebooking, before it was time to get the ablutions done.

That took some time, that did.

Better get sorted, and the ablutions tended too then.

All prepared and off to the bus stop at the end of the road. Jolly good Gossip at the bus stop. Loved listening to what the other tenants were going on about this morning. The mayhem of the building preparation work and upsetting of their system and plans seemed to be the most popular subject. Both Bills were there, Bill (William on Sundays) and Welsh Bill.

Got into town, dropped off the bus on Upper Parliament Street, near the Wilko Store and walked along the road to the West Bridgford bus stop.

Hectic today, the roads were.

Buses to left, buses to the right, behind and in front. Hehe!

Sat waiting for the bus to set off and one of the tenants of the flats, Brenda I think her name is (Maybe, perhaps?), sat next to me, which was a pleasant surprise and afforded me the opportunity for a great chinwag and ogle. Lovely gal she is. Turned out she was also on her way to visit her Sister and only a few streets away from my Jane’s home.

I got off of the bus the stop after Brenda and made my way to Cyril Road. (Left)

Jane was all ready for my call.

The two pussies Fooey and Arthur were not to be seen. A good nattering session took place.

Pete came down and made me a mug of tea. Memories spoke of. Had a look at Pete’s laptop to see if I could help with his problem. Spent a while, but with no luck. In the end, I photographed some screen shots and will have a look on the web later to see if I can sort it out for him.

Found Arthur, asleep in the bushes in the garden, in readiness to wake and kill some birds. Nice camouflage for a grey cat, bless him. (See photo below, bottom left)

Fussed Fooey, my favourite old pussy. Jane & Pete posed for me with Fooey and Jane took a photograph of me as I fed him some of the cat food he loves so. It is in liquid form, I always take some for him. And they did not help me get back up off the floor afterwards either! Hehehe!

Sister and brother-in-law both looked fit and healthy. Gave them their nibbles and treats. Farewells, and I was soon off to catch the bus. Changed my mind when I just missed one and decided to walk into Central Avenue and have a look in the Iceland store for some bread to take home with me.

Flatbread, cheesy rolls and tried a pack of some Pitta Bread for the first time. Oh, and a minced beef slice.

The bus to town was packed solid with passengers. Should be carrying so many people standing? I did manage to get a seat mind.

Got to town and walked to the Slab Square. Taking a picture of Clinton Street as I passed on my way there.

Busy as it usually is today, but something in the air… hard to describe but I’ll do me best.

A sense of apprehension, something about to take place that would be unwanted, not liked. Odd feeling?

Walked to the top of Queen Street on Upper Parliament Street, and took these photographicalisations of an old pub. It had just been opened again. I recall it has had many different names over the years of failed success seeking from the landlords. Sad.

Walked around and down King Street then up Queen St, to the L9 bus stop at the top of the hill.

En route, Bill (William on Sundays) got on the bus and we had a comical little gossip as I am sure neither of us could hear what the other was saying. Haha!

Back at Winwood Flats, I met Jenny and Frank in the foyer and nattered for a while.

Unlocked the door and straight in the wetroom for a wee-wee.

Put the food away and potato crispies into the oven cooking.

Had a wee-wee.

Downloaded the photographs to add later.

Updated this in a draft, notes words as reminders so when I complete it in the morning, I could remember it easier. Too tired to do it now.

Had a wee-wee.

Thursday Morning Update:

Got the meal done and consumed.

Had a wee-wee.

Medications were taken, Health checks were done and got settled to watch some Heartbeat DVD episodes.

Typically, when I want to get to sleep, I couldn’t. As a rule, as soon as I start yo view the TV or a DVD, I fall asleep, but not this time. The mind racing away again, about all sorts of subjects. The Grenfell disaster, Brexit, the Amazon deliveries, the hearing aids, the mistakes and foolish decisions I’ve taken over the years… on and on! I can’t remember much of the Heartbeat DVD I had on.

Had a wee-wee.

Eventually, I managed to nod off, late, very late it was. Tsk!

Inchcock Today – Friday 16th June 2017: QMC for Enoxaparin shot and INR Blood Tests – Got told off and a right farce in communications with the District Nurses! The Night Nurse was not happy…Felt sorry for me today! Hehe!

5Fri01

Friday 16th June 2017

Swedish: Fredag 16 Juni 2017

Woke and rose from the £300 second-hand recliner around 0530hrs. Tired and weary with Duodenal Donald, Dizzy Dennis and Anne Gyna all giving me grief… off for what must have been the tenth wee-wee of the night. Tsk! To the Porcelain Throne, Haemorrhoid Harold had been bleeding a little – this might mean the INR Warfarin level has gone up a tad at last.

Going to the QMC Anticoagulation Clinic on the 0930hrs L9 bus (That’s the plan anyway) to have Enoxaparin injections if needed and a blood test.

5Fri02aMade a mug of tea and got the computer on.

Spotted a letter for Age UK. Thought it was circular when it arrived.

Opened it to find my insurance for the flat and contents had expired!

Sod it – another thing I forgot to change details for when I swapped banks.

Did the Health Checks (Not too happy with them today, but still) and then I took the medications then.

5Fri03

5Fri02Felt a bit unwell overall, depression coming on methinks.

Still, the view from the kitchen window was stunning to me.

I like all that greenery, which is how my face should be looking according to how I feel. Hehe!

Got on with the diary updating and checked the Emails. I must remember to go see one the Obegruppenfureresses before I catch the bus to the hospital at 0930hrs and ask for help with phoning the Age UK and resetting the insurance cover with new details.

Feeling like there is so much to do, and no time to do it, and with so little sleep due to the injections early and late every day, things ain’t right. Getting behind with paperwork as well. Energyless I am. Ah-well!

Got the nibbles, crossword book, umbrella, mobile phone, hat, paperwork and camera in the bag while I thought of it.

Got the ablutions tended to. All these things in between wee-wees. (Must mention this to the nurses today).

Took the letter from the insurance company and some more cleaned empty jars with me and set off out. Only one lift is working today. Huh!

Got out in the sunshine and hobbled to the recycling bin, then to the Tenants Social Hut. Only Obergruppenfureress Julie in today and she was helping another tenant out, so I waited. When she was free, I showed her the letter and pointed out that it had expired on the 15th June and how concerned I was. She looked at and read pages in the message, gave me a fully warranted “What a pratt!” and shouted, “It expires on the 15th July you idiot, not June!” I adopted my best-humbled look and apologised to her. I felt a right dumbo! She told me to see her next week.

Red facedly, I gave her some nibbles and withdrew, walking back to the flats and going up for a wee-wee and gathered the hearing aids I’d forgotten to wear earlier, then back down to the bus stop.

Joined in a good chinwag with some other tenants waiting. They all got on the Bestwood bound L9, apart from one lady. We got onto the City bound bus a few minute later.

Dropped off on Upper Parliament Street and made my way onto Milton Street and caught the 36 bus to the Queens Medical Centre.

5Fri05Entered the site passing the coughing smokers outside on the way.

Two of the four lifts were out of order, so I foolishly took the stairs up to D floor again like the other day – with the same results of aching feet, knees and struggling for breath thanks to Anne Gyna’s visitation.

Goggleplonk!

5Fri09As I approached the entrance to the department, I noticed this sign on the left here on the wall.

Infant Feeding Cafe – this way.

I couldn’t help wondering if they serve the ankle snappers fried, baked, roasted or casseroled? Haha!

To the nurses on the reception desk and was greeted immediately with: “You should not be coming here at all, you should be visiting you doctors surgery for these tests!”

I was taken aback a bit by this. I told the lady that I had a phone call last night from a woman here, and said to come in this morning! This made no impression on the woman at all. She just ignored me by pretending either not to hear me, then started looking in some box files. But credit where it is due, she did it nonchalantly and with style. I went to scrub my hands, and as I returned to take a seat, she extended her muscular right arm and pointed to the seats while nodding her head forward; as if this was a command or an order for me to ‘Sit!” Hehe!

A lady came out an hour or so later and spoke to the assembled patients, but I could not make out what she was saying, so I asked the lady next to me. She had addressed us saying it might be a long wait today, as they only had two people on instead of the usual four.

I was summoned next, an hour later. The chap who saw me apologised for the wait was the first thing the man said to me. I replied; No problem, it’s getting told off for coming that I didn’t like! Brave eh? I explained how I get sometimes confused, especially with all the appointments, Emails, the Clinic, the Doctors surgery, District Nurse injections twice daily… He looked on the computer at my page The red line yesterday had turned into two red lines today? And told me I was dead right. Luckily the lady who rang me recorded what happened on the page. But even he was too fretful to go as far as mentioning anything to the Gruppenfurheress on the reception, and I didn’t blame him either. Oh no!

He took the blood and tested it for the INR Warfarin level, then went to collect the result from the machine in another room and returned. I tried to see what the second red line covered on the computer, but no luck. He advised me that the INR level was still far too small and I would have to continue with the injections from the District nurses. It was at 1.9 now. He injected some into the stomach and gave me six Enoxaparin kits to give to the District Nurse tonight, these would last until the Monday morning stabbing, then I am to return to there again (The DVT Anticoagulation) after the Monday injection from the District Nurse, for more tests.

I still left some nibbles for the staff, though.

Caught a 53 Arnold bus from just outside the premises, and fell asleep on the bus! When I woke, I wondered where the heck I was? Hehe!

Arrived in Arnold and went into the Sainsbury store to see if they had any pod peas in stock. But no, they had not, the naughty store! However, I did spend £31.05… Oh dearie me! Cheap DVD’s, Marmite flatbread, Sheldon’s potato cakes, Rankin Irish potato farls, Smoked cured streaky bacon, Marmite Rice Cakes, Cheddar Wafers (For Sister Jane, but don’t tell her will you?), Beef meteors, Wholemeal flatbread and mini packs of mini cocktail sausages. Oh, and another giant sized potato. A big one too, it would not fit in the saucepan! Haha!

Tsk! I can’t take myself anywhere!)

Out of the store and noticed the mechanical whatever it is on the roof of the British Telecom building across the road had changed shape. Lots of bit missing from how it was last week?

Had a bit of a Dennis Dizzy spell at the bus stop.

I do appreciate my free pensioner’s bus pass. I reckon I’ve saved £8 in bus fares today.

Some other tenants got on the bus en route. Bill and Janet.Back at the flats

Back at the apartments, I caught up with Janet to tell her I would take some DVDs to her flat so she can look at them at her leisure. She was sweating a bit, and she said had not been feeling too good. Janet alighted on the 7th floor, I on the 12th and Mick carried on up to the 14th.

In the flat and I had a wee-wee, a long, painful wee-wee! Got the things put away and collected the carrier bag of DVDs and took them to Mary’s flat. Tried to console the girl a bit, but she apparently needed to get her head down and rest. I gave her my number, telling her I would be in now all night and not worry about calling if she felt ill. Poor thing did look like she was suffering too. I’ll call on her in the morning.

Back to the mini-flat and pondered on when or if the District Nurses would call me. They said they would call before coming to make sure they were still needed to hypodermically prod-me. (Laugh, go on, laugh! Hehe!)

I decided to get rid of the new phone and replace it with the old one. I know I can walk around with the new one in my hand, but this advantage is negated by the old one’s big letters, better sound and a red light that flashed when a call comes in so can see it when I have the headphones on. It has a louder ring too. I’ll give this new one away if I find someone in need.

When I got back to the flat, knowing that the Obergruppefurheresses had gone home for the weekend, I called the NCH alarm line, and mentioned about Mary not feeling well, and if they get an alert call from her, would they please respond immediately. I thought they might be annoyed with me bothering them, but the lady thanked me and said she would let Obergruppenfurher Dean and Gruppenfurher Julie know about Mary’s condition. That cheered me up a bit. I did a battery check with them at the same time. Afterwards, I remembered I’d done one yesterday. Tsk!

Onto the computer to update this diary. The Grammarly programme is playing up again and causing much delay and frustrations. Grr!

Updated the calendar with the new appointments.

Went into the kitchen to make a mug of tea and get the Health Checks carried out.

I seem to be fauchling everything I try to do today. Tsk!

The check figures were so good, I had to take a photograph of the machine’s results to show here.

Brilliant what? The pulse down to 76 was very encouraging. The temperature was 35° dead on.

Shame I was depressed at having to wait for the District Nurses to call me, and I assume it will be around eleven by the time they come, so as to match the 12-hour gap between treatment? Hey-ho!

1830hrs: The Nursing people rang asking what the situation was. I explained the doctor gave me six syringes for them to use until Monday morning, when I have to go to the QMC, hopefully catching the 0930hrs bus. She told me to speak with the nurses about this when they arrive later tonight, she had no idea what time this would me though. Oh dearie me!

Being as had to stay awake, I went on WordPress reading and then, Facebook to keep me from nodding off. Tut!

Tim Price wrote a song in his comment for my Thursday post: I reckon it is brilliant! He tells me: Tell folks to sing it to the tune of the Beatle’s “A Day in a Life.”

“I was in great pain, and yet high spirits?” is a perfect intro line for a song I’m calling “A Day in the Life of Inchy”.

“I was in great pain, and yet high spirits today oh boy
A lucky man standing by the Methodist Church
Thinking I should be rather sad
I just had to laugh

And took a photograph
Out the kitchen window, mind your houses and cars
Off to Sherringham for shots, so quick, but no times had changed
Nicole, the nurse, stood and stared
Trying to stop my blood that flowed
She wasn’t really sure
We just talked until it stopped. Oh lord

I had a Whoopsiedangleplop today oh boy
The phone went off a dingling and a dangling
T’was the nurse bitching about my ambling
“You’re not in your Flat?” I turned away
But I just had to look, I didn’t have the book
I’d love to turn you off

Got back, and had a Weeee!
Refreshing and accident-Free!
I went back out and had a cup
The doorbell rang, and I noticed it was late
The next nurse was at 2020
Found her extra cuddly, a twinkle in her eye
She had a firm, tight end that was smokin’ hot
Then she poked me in the tummy, and I came out of my dream… Tsk!”

I think that sums a day in Inchies life fairly well.

Went to put the large potato in the oven to cook, cause I believe that it might take about three hours? Then I have to burn my fingers cutting in in half and scraping out the flesh, bashing in with some cheese and putting the mix back in the husks.

Guess what I found… Isn’t life hard? Hehe!
I’d left the potato
farls in the tray from last night – they rather overcooked.

Got onto Facebook eventually.

Tried to do some TFZ graphicalisations.

Managed two of them, so tired now

Rather pleased with how they came out, though.

Then the door chime rang out. IT was the nurse.

Then the difficulties came to the fore.

Written on the boxes of the ready-loaded hypodermics the doctor gave me to hand to the nurses: It was written for only one a day and not two!

Betty rang her control, and after much discussion, she recorded that I was happy for her to give me second one today, and did so.

Off she almost ran, well she did run as she departed.

I checked the potato in the oven, and my finger went through the skin. Tsk, Accifauxpa time again!

Updated this diary to here, and got the nosh sorted.

All the effort to make the cheesy potatoes and the burning of the finger was well worth it for once. Very tasty! 9.3/10 rating.

I thought I could manage two desserts today, but had to do with one, after I spotted the other one was out of its sell-by date! Huh!

Sat down, put the TV on and drifted off into a deep sleep.

Saturday 10th June 2017 – Had an intended idle day. So there! Hehe!

5Fri12n

Saturday 10th June 2017

Latvian: 2017 Sestdiena 10 jūnijs

0330hrs: Stirred, lay there doing my best to recall details of the dream I’d been having; something about me being chased in a skyscraper full of office corridors? Haven’t had one like this for ages, but, any real memories were too vague.

Fell off to sleep again (another uniqueness for me, nodding off again).

0530hrs: Came back to life, of sorts with a jolt. Found rubbish all around the £300 second-hand recliner again. I’d been nibbling, that was obvious by the crumbs and wrappers generously scattered around on the carpet, the chair and me. I can’t remember eating at all, let alone fetching the biscuits to eat?

Off for a wee-wee and heavy duty session. Little Inchy was raw and sore, but no bleeding again. Haemorrhoid Harold only bled the tiniest bit. I could tell Duodenal Donald was building up for an attack. However, Reflux Roger, Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna were in a good mood – and, no signs of Constipation Konrad either. So no complaints there.

To the kitchen, where I rinsed out the mucked-up oven mitt things from the bowl where I’d left them to soak. Drying them was a problem, how to? I put the clothes airer on and balanced them on top.

Did the health Checks: Sys 145, Dia 79, Pulse 88, Temp 35.6 and the weight was 14.8lb

Mephitic emissions of the wind from the rear arrived unexpectedly. The aroma seemed to linger all day. Tsk!

Computer activated. Checked on which programme if any the Scotland v England match would be on. I was delighted when I found out it was on ITV tonight. A  hard game for me in some ways to watch. I have a great liking for the Welsh and Scottish teams. The likes of Andy Lochhead (My favourite, a great old fashioned centre forward), such a shame he was not selected for the Scottish Squad, he did get just one under-23 match in.

6Sat14

But his going South of the Border made him a de trop to the selectors, I’m much afraid.

Ian Ure and Dennis Law were both great defenders, too. Jim Baxter was fantastic in his hey-day. So, I’ll be unhappy whichever way the match goes… unless it is a draw? Haha!
Others that come immediately to mind: Welsh: Terry Hennessey, Ronnie Rees, Dean Saunders. Scottish: Kenny Burns, Peter Cormack, Archie Gemmill, Frank Gray, John Robertson, Kenny Dalglish, Tommy Dockerty, etc. Ah, good times!

6Sat15Nipped into the kitchen to pod the peas and get them cooking in the Crock-Pot. I also put some Jersey potatoes in the saucepan to boil.

Hence the advice on the left here.

Another wee-wee and back on the computer.

Updated this diary. Then caught up with WordPress reading.

Checked on the cooking and saw that I had not turned on the power to the cooker. Ah-well, done now!

Onto Facebooking then. Spent hours on it enjoying myself.

Went to check on the fodder’s progress.

You recall how I forgot to turn on the power to the cooker earlier to do the spuds? Well, I didn’t turn on the oven when I put the lamb nosh into it either! Gerrin’ fed up with missen today!

6Sat17Cooking now, though.

Scoffed the lot of it, a yoghourt, some bisuits and some nougat too!

Back onto CorelDraw 2017, but coud not concentrate very well. Perhaps the expectations of the upcoming Interernational twixt Scotland and England later?

Nodded off and dreamt of Sister Jane and me living together with our beloved Auntie Kath, I was the butler and we were all so happy doing things we never did before together.

Woke, took the medications, did the Health Checks and visited the Porcelain Throne and settled to watch the match on the gogglebox. The abutions can wait now, ’cause the match is due to start.

6Sat18

The match itself was wonderful to watch, with the most exciting last twenty minutes I’ve watched of a match since the 1966 World Cup Final.

But the aftermath saddened me so.

6Sat19

It happens that the authorities had sent some Metropolitan Police officers to Glasgow in case of terrorist activity, so it seems, up to now to me, that they coped with the vandals and yobboes reasonably well. Took the edge off of my enjoyment, to think about this return of mindless hooliganism and hatred.

6Sat21

The so called fans were even rioting when on holiday in Magaluf!

Did the ablutions with mixed emotions, happiness at seeing a great match and agreeing with the score for once, loathing and not understanding of the rioters, satisfaction at the good tasty meal… cut myself shaving due to lack of attention. It took a lot of stopping, had to resort to the aftershave, need a new bottle now. Hehe!

Shaved, teggies done, ear-holes cleared, Little Inchy medicated and showered, I got the nightweat on. (Well, it was nippy tonight).

7Sat24Head down in the £300 second-hand recliner. (It’s lasting well for a cheapo bargain is this chair) But, I could not get to sleep thinking alternatively about the great match, the fighting hooligans and the newly attacking Duodenal Donald. I don’t know if it is the fodder or the vandals that started him off, but by gum, he’s back with a vengeance. Took an extra 40mg Omeprazole.

I’ve been on this medication along with so many others for about 13 years now, looked it up to see if any alternative is available on the NHS. Got side tracked with this page on the left here: Methinks I might have a word with the pharmacist or doctor on my next visit.

I Googled for any Omeprazole alternatives. It seems that almonds and almond milk after eating has helped some people get off of this drug. Thaty should it says, only be taken for short periods; And my doctor has had me on it for 13 years plus?

Another suggestion was deglycyrrhizinated licorice, DGL? Never heard of it, but this is more for Roger Reflux than the ulcer. Then they suggest Apple Cider Vinegar, but it must be organic. Each time I ask about Omeprazole, it relates again to the reflux valve and not the duodenal ulcer, so I put in the search; Duodenal Ulcer Medications UK. Andthere it was, but only as an antacid. Confused now. Tsk!

Inchcock Today – Saturday 3rd June 2017

5Fri01

Saturday 3rd June 2017

0430hrs: Woke, tried to remember the dreams, some pencil scribbled notes on the pad, but of no use due to their illegibility and the mind was blank. Never ceases to amaze me how some mornings I can recall lots of details, and on others, nowt?

Out of the already lowered £300 second-hand recliner and to the Porcelain Throne. What a difference this morning: Spent nearly an hour on the seat, in agony! Yes, hard to believe, but I now suddenly had Constipation Konrad to contend with in place of Diarrhea Derek! Grumph!

Thus, poor old Haemorrhoid Harold was bleeding profusely and giving me pain within seconds of me getting seated, I blurted out some ‘Eeee’s’, ‘Argh’s’ and ‘Oooer’s’. At last, the movement moved. Stood up slowly, the roll was crimson red, the water the same. As for the bottom, I thought that was on fire! Hehe!

‘Rescue mission mode adopted’… Cleaned up the toilet and me, put the jammy bottoms in the bucket to soak in Dettol, applied the creams, and took a senna tablet I kept in the wetroom drawer along with the Diahorrea capsules and wiped all contact surfaces with Lemon Dettol wipes.

Not feeling too well then. Anne Gyna had joined Constipation Konrad, and moments later Duodenal Donald signed in! Humph! Feeling sorry for myself time again.

6Sat01Made a cuppa and viewed the scene outside.

Misty with a little light drizzle, but still a wonderful panorama.

Did the Health Checks, they looked okay to me, apart from the pulse and temperature, both a little high – but not surprising with the current onset of all these ailments is it?

Took the medications and made up the dosage pots for next week.

Made a brew and got the computer on to start this diary off and then finished off yesterday’s and posted it.

Did some WordPress Reading, and checked the Emails, updated the Google Calendar and paper one too.

Facebooked for a while. Very slow and jumpy today.

Hours and hours spent finishing the TFZer graphicalisations. So happy to get them done at last, here are a few of them.

5Fri12pSo tired afterwards, I took a photograph of my meal with the DS card still on the computer! Huh!

Then realised I’d used the other camera and that had a card in it? I am a clot!

It was grand.

I think having the cheese again might have helped with the Trotsky’s. Or not?

Fell asleep while sorting the paperwork out.

Tsk!

Maori: Rāmere 26 Haratua 2017

Woke around 0400hrs: Dream about my being on a horse, in a medieval village that had traffic signs, and spaceships in the sky lingered for a few moments, then faded.

Out of the £300 second-hand recliner and to the Porcelain Throne. Good job I put on the protection pants last night – Haemorrhoid Harold had been leaking badly. Saved a lot of washing they did. Tended to a clean-up session then into the kitchen to take the medications and do the Health Checks. Pulse up to 91 and the weight down to 14.66 so not all bad.

Other ailments seemed kind this morning, well, apart from Duodenal Donald that is.

I cleaned up some pots I’d missed last night and got the computer on – full of hope and anticipation… fingers crossed! First turn-on, it did not load at all, just the working ring going around on the black screen? Left it for a few minutes but no change occurred, so turned off at the plugs and tried again.

A bit of success here: CorelDraw 2017 had come back online! Supposedly, my changing the payment details had worked? Just hope next time I start the thing, CorelDraw will continue to work for me! Not only that, but I’ve been online now for over an hour without any freezing or becoming unresponsive. But this had happened before, so I’m not getting too excited yet.

WordPress worked now too! So I got the diaries caught up with, making one for two days, Wednesday & Thursday, posting it off.

Started this one off.

0815 hrs: Took these pictures from the kitchen window by hanging out of it to avoid the glass reflection.

5Fri02

The first one I chose Sunset mode, the second Scenery mode? Thought the shadows from behind looked beautiful. The colouring was a lot different. The beloved Copse, the gravel pathway up the hill into the park look so different in each photograph, and the colouring of the houses too, I thought.

0827hrs: Decided to get the ablutions tended to. I crossed my fingers that Chrome and WordPress and CorelDraw come on working when I start the computer again later.

No, it’s no good, I’ll reboot now to find out.

All okay and working, but we’ll see later eh? Maybe my removing the translation programme helped? Dare not try Facebook yet, it might ruin the rest of the things currently working for the first time in ages?

See yers later, going to do the ablutions and go to Arnold to see the ducks and get some fodder in. TTFN.

When I got to the lift to go down, I noticed a 2½ inch long beetle on the carpet.  Had to take several photos of it to get this one below. Tomorrow morning I got on the web and looked up details about the creature. Seems it is a Cockchafer Beetle. Never seen one before.

5Fri02a

Lovely chinwag at the bus stop with some other tenants.

5Fri04Got into Arnold and dropped off at the Sainsbury store.

Came out with a beef pie another packet of Surimi and some lemon curd yoghourts. Spent £7.50 in all.

I had a right nasty attack from Dizzy Dennis on the walk to Front Street and the market place then the Fulton Food Store.

A little worrying this one was, left me feeling a bit wobbly although I don’t think I was actually wobbling if you know what I mean?

5Fri05Called at the open market and found a greengrocery stall selling fresh garden peas at less (£1.50 a lb) than at the Victoria Centre (£1.98 a lb) who tried to con me the day before and sell me old stock. The chap thankfully took the stock from what were on show, and they looked gorgeously fresh to me. (Why I got these at the cost of £3, I’m not sure because I already had some in the fridge at the flat?)

It was a beautiful day with so few pavement cyclists around too.

Had another dizzy on the way to the Fulton Food Store, only a minor one this time, all over in seconds. Nothing of interest to me in Fulton’s, they, like their Bulwell Store yesterday, had not got any blackcurrant ice cream lollies, sterilised milk or tinned chestnuts in stock, so I departed without any purchases and limped over to Asda (Walmart) for a look around. That was a mistake! I spent £14.74 here, and none of the products I bought was really needed! Fool!

As I came out intent on visiting the mallard ducks in the park, another dizzy convinced me not to, and get the L9 bus back to the flat sharpish. Luckily one was due in 15 minutes. Met a lady tenant at the bus-stop and had a gossiping session.

Back at the flats, yet another Dizzy Dennis episode. My next flat neighbour held the door open for the rest of us to enter the foyer. Thanked her profusely. I hung back from getting on the lift with the other tenants to regain some composure. Got the lift up and I arrived on floor twelve, before the other lift. Because there were so many folks dropping off of it to other levels. The lady was surprised to see me holding the door open to the flats for her, telling her one good favour deserves another. Hehe!

Got into the apartment and yet another little Dizzy Dennis visitation. I took the medications with an extra Omeprazole and got the fodder stored away. Visited the porcelain throne and had to change and clean things because of Haemorrhoid Harold had been ‘leaking’ somewhat.

Tiredness came suddenly, and I felt so weary. Not poorly or ill or anything, just weary. I got the meal ready earlier than usual, in case I did feel worse later. I enjoyed the beef pie 5Fri09so much yesterday, I had a similar meal to that one, but simpler.

The pie with caramelised gravy and tonnes of the fresh pod peas, two little potato waffles, some tasty tomatoes and a lemon drizzle dessert.

I ate the lot of it and swiftly fell asleep. Luckily, after I had placed the used tray with the dirty dish and cutlery on the next chair.

Woke an hour os so later, and off to the Porcelain Throne again, so tired?

But no more Dizzy Dennis bother at all. Reflux Roger replaced Dennis then. Hehe!

Did the Health Checks while I was up and about, washed the dishes and settled to watch some TV.

Nodded off at the first set of advertisements that came on and slept all the way through to 0430hrs in the morning!
