06:30hrs (5½ hours sleep. Great!): I struggled to get my poorly legs down from the chair, and wriggled in the £300, second-hand, most uncomfortable, decrepit, Haemorrhoid Harold-testing, micro-organism-microbe-bugged, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner, one leg fell from the chair and clouted the ankle against the raised leg. This made me jump a smidgeon, and I felt the blood from , the tube yanked inside the little fella, causing more blood loss, but this is nothing to a man of my stature. I could see blood coming through the pink bandaging that Nurse Sarah had put on the right leg, yesterday. And as I tried to raise myself from the depths of the crumb covered from the cheesy curls I’d nocturnally unknowingly eaten, I was shaken like never been before via . Along with so many of the failings from and , they ensured me day-long fears of having a fall, tumble or stumble. But, as of now, I have coped well with them. I am making sure I try to take the stick with me every time I move about.
I assume it was my Cartilage gals… well, it must have been because does not give way just like that, and his pains stay a lot longer… yes, they are guilty! Hehe!

arrived..
Followed hours later by my precious caring .
arrived and did the medications. I think he was well pleased with not having to do the leg straps on both legs. Hehehe! Did his BP. Looking good again! . The Meridian team leader arrived. She asked for some catheter night bags, as a chap in the flats has just come out of hospital and is in need. She took a bag and said she would return it when his stocks arrived later next week. Glad to help.

Two-tone leg straps and bandaging.

Waste bags sorted.

The Iceland order arrived.
Exceptional no-meat meat slices today.
They had beef in them, and they had carefully ensured that the food was ready-crushed to save my few teeth when I ate them, I assume. How kind! The fridge was topped up again.
Substituted milk roll loaf with tasteless white.

Bit of Advice Here…
Do take care when unscrewing jars.
Sometimes the tin lid, on a jar of pickled beetroot has gone through the Iceland pre-crushing system and has sharp edges indented on the cap.

Got the Carers & Nurses nibbles box filled

Nice little clouds.

The papules can be felt bleeding under the bandaging.
The left leg will have the leg strap removed permanently to see how it goes tonight. If I remember to tell the carer

Inchy: Friday 17th November 2023 Internet Issues Again!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Even less time to get owt done today.
Say no more; I’m sick of hearing myself moaning.
Then again, I’m sick of everything going wrong each and every day… hourly almost. In fact: ARGH!
Enough, I’m sorry, not much, indeed I got less done today than yesterday… Stop it, Inchy!

Ah, later on, a better colour in the day pouch!

Kitchenette!

Made a mess of this photo taken. But it looks like a torch parade, which is interesting… or not. A smidgen more like it?
Well? I’ve not got the foggiest about this one!

Letter from the Doctors Surgery. With some fantastic news!
They are sending Nurse Nicole, to see me! ♥
Monday 27th November. Coming to the flat to do a 2Sever Frailty Health check. It will take about an hour. I’ve so missed seeing Nurse Nichole. I fell in love with her years ago, you know! Hehe! DVT, Anticoagulation Nurse Hristina as well. Oh, and… Carer Kara and… better stop now.
I hope I don’t get confused with all the medical appointments this and next month. And, there will be three more to add to the calendar soon. Two (at least) at the Audio Clinic on the Ropewalk, and one at the QMC for the ? ? ? ?iac procedure. I can’t find the letter at the moment but has it in hand. Hang on, I think I know where it might be; I’ll investigate…
I’ve found it! Don’t know where I got the ‘iac’ bit from; it’s cardiac, an angioplasty. Had two before, with no problem. Although I don’t know what they gave me then, but it perked me up after the procedure was done. Hehe!

Raining a bit again, and misty with it.

Looks like some new geysers are coming on the left knee. This might be why has been letting down a few times this week?

I gave up and watched some TV. Here is a photo I took of a certain program I was watching. Can anyone remember what it was called?
I used to love this one.
Not sure why it came out in mono, though?

Got some more nibbles in the nurses & carers tub.

A slow job with
what seemed like every ten minutes.
You, scallywag of a CEO!

Mini hog pork pie, garden peas, chips, well-buttered bread, milk roll, and a strawberry cheesecake for nosh.

I tried to get some sleep before the Carer arrived, which he did the moment I drifted into heavenly peace… Haha!
As I was hoping to get a shower in the morning, I asked him to leave the off.

I went into the bliss of sleep again after he left…
To be woken up when someone came for the last visit. Not sure who it was; all I wanted to do was get some sleep… Ha!  But, No! never gave me much chance. All my past errors, mistakes, and bad decisions taken, flooded, via Steve into my mind. I think that even got pissed of with him.
Don’t ask me how I knew this; I just did.

Oh, nearly forgot the Spot the Items outcome.

.

I’m making another one using this template tomorrow.
That is, of course, if the Oligarchial financial money manipulators and merchants, from internet allow me to. This brings to mind, my worries over how the Conservative Party’s Suicidal Attitude over the last two years, and then bringing back the worst Prime Minister I’ve seen in my lifetime, back into Government again! Is this really the limit of their foresight? Surely they have given up? How long has Rishi failed in all his promises?
Maybe he could go on ‘Give Us a Clue?’ Considering that Fries, the CEO of and earning $ Millions a year, should be invited to join this similar incapable organisation, that is forever getting things wrong shower in the Cabinet?
Just a thought!

Got up at 04:00hrs, determined to get my ablutions done!

Adios Amigos!

Another good-coloured nocturnal pouch of wee-wee. Hehe!

Struggled out of the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. Moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner. And into the kitchen to get some potatoes in the crock-pot to have later… much later on.

Barely discernable in this shot is Venus.

Emptied the three waste bags into one. Last night’s was not taken, I spotted.

Grafting away at making misreckonings, goofs, errors, typographical & grammatical cock-ups, blunders, and the usual selection of general mistakes while working on this blog opening. I was so very annoyed with myself.

Lovely cloud formations…
Developing early in the day.

arrived. Looking somewhat weary, bless him. It was the last call of his shift.
Richard got the ankle and leg straps attached to my limbs. I was as much use a fart-in-a-cullendar to help him. Bravely, he persisted and got them right after several tries. Dealt out the medications. And rubbed some Phorpain Gel into for me. Much appreciated.

Blogging until did the midday call. Painkillers and I declined to have any of the applied, as after Marie goes, I’m hoping to get the ablutions sorted out and, at long last, have a shower. But I forgot to ask to take off the Another from me!

Getting the straps off myself was a painful and risky procedure. But, I needed a good ablution session, shave and shower, a freshen up all round!

So, it had to be done, and it was. Annoyed and inspired while carrying out this task, were, , , , and . While getting the things ready, I got a short sharp attack from
The teeth cleaning caused a little gum bleeding. Well, I have more gum than teeth left now! Tsk! Shaving went well again; there was only one little nick on the neck.
The curtain rail hook fell off again. The stepladder was used to reach it. Lost a lot of time getting the pin back in. Showering was eventually started.

I enjoyed this. And had no Whoopsiedangleplops under the shower!

View to the right. Got it right this time!

I think came. I’m lost and in a rather confused state writing this tomorrow afternoon. Mislayed my notes, and it’s been a busy day for me. So many things happening, that I seem to have lost more than just the notes; I’ve lost track altogether! Marie got both the diabetic socks and back on for me. It’s a lot warmer now! Thanks!

A brew of Glengettie tea.
I let it go cold again!

Getting dark earlier today.

Late call.

Getting the very late nosh sorted, took these shots.
I tried a close-up again. Not too good, but different?

Sliced the cooked spuds and added the vegetable soup on the hob. Gently heated it after adding some seasonings first. Taste Rating: 8/10.

Much improved colour now I’ve got some of the nocturnal Catheter pouches to use!

The carer took this shot of the leg when changing the straps & long diabetic socks.

The leg and ankle straps are laid out and ready to be used tonight. Must get the laundry done, and the waste bags have not been taken & I keep forgetting to ask the Carers to take both for me. Tsk!

The first-morning view photo.

Two hours later, a little misty.

Another hour and a change again.
End car park view.

Computer on, blogging started.

Late morning through the balcony.

Amazing clouds.

It was a late try from the sun to get through the clouds.

Early evening cloud views.
Wonderful!

Late evening clouds.

OUT OF IT MIND BLANK
Unbelievable! I lost about five hours of memory!
When I rebooted the memory, I recall going into the kitchen tosee what to have for tonight’s nosh. And vaguely of the Carer Calling. Carer Chloe, I think. However, I’d done a lot of artwork on CorelDraw in preparation for tomorrow’s blog, and many templates had been made. Cannot recall doing any of them, but they are all on file on the Admin page of WordPress?
I looked at one, and it had errors that even I should have spotted when creating it – naturally, I’d made the same mistake on all of them! Grrr! pillock

I think I did an Asda order for next Tuesday… I’d better check. Yep!

It’s not the Worst Day of the year, but one of my oddest!

Cheery-Bye!

My right leg looked a little battered?

Waste bags sorted.

Got the new drinkie in the cupboard for the nurses and carers to pick from. Keeping a list of those given out this year. I missed someone out last year. Tsk!

Well, that was unexpected.

Lunchtime treat.

A repeat evacuation for the first time in months.

The being-done-up for six months home has a ladder moved. Mayhap the builders have returned?

Carer Benjamin at work.

A day of vagueness, the brain full of wanderlust.
After staying up until the early hours of the morning hours to try and make some progress on blogging. I didn’t get up until the Carer woke me.
The ablutionalisationings took me well over two hours, and I could not shower either, or even wash the usual one foot now, with the new strapping over the compression sock, and on the masses of compression bandages on top of the woolly wrapping, I’m beginning to smell I think?
The day buzzed by, and no blogging was done at all.
And I nearly had a tumble and fall.
So forgive this catch-up for being small…
It’s Monday night now, as I type and scrawl,
Will I get any sleep at all?

Sorting out the dodgy Asda potatoes.
Then I cheered exponentially

Inchy: Wednesday 2nd August 2023 – Defeatism, Vexation and Penitency!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I gave up trying to sleep at 05:05hrs and shuffled to the edge of the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner, to reach down to remove the detach. But it wasn’t there! I was so tired last night, I thought it had been put on…

This left me with a heavily full urine day bag that dropped with some alacrity the moment I’d grabbed . This caused a certain amount of pull on poor Little , via the inserted catheter tube that tried to do a runner. Obviously, a man of my calibre winced-not at the agony. I can endure and tolerate such minor mishaps with ease. I did not flinch, swear or cry out ‘Arrgh!’ at all over the trifling matter. No forlornness or glumness from me.
Off to sort out the day pouch in the wet room. The rumblings from within, made me adopt the use of the toilet seat with some haste. And there I sat, with the crossword book for ages.
CW01bNothing other than large doses of wind were evacuated.
Hehehe!
The urine in the day bag was the darkest it’s been for a while.

To the kitchen and I took these terrible photos…
of the heavy rain.
Then onto the balcony to see how the mudslide was.
Sizeable, cause it wasn’t raining much yesterday.

Did the waste bins sorting, and made a mug of tea, I later regretted having one of the two allowed so early.

Carer Shaquille arrived. Checked out the new eye treatments, the and . He could read the small print, and Chris & I could not last night. I thought it was four times a day for the Spray, and two for the Gel, but it’s the other way round. He did the eyelids like a professional. Sorted out a new day pouch and fitted it, too.
Thanked him muchly and off he went on his rounds.

Got the computer on, and what a surprise.

I had a safety check around the flat when I got back, and the internet was on again. It must have been off for about only 15 minutes. Please don’t tell, the owner of Mr Fries of . It might upset him if he knows.

The Iceland delivery arrived.
Just after I took this later view of the oddly shaded sky.

.
Carriers taking into the kitchen for me by the driver. Thanks!

Fresh foods
.
& Frozen Foods… I’d got them put away, and returning to the computer, I espied the laundry had not been unpacked and hung up. So, I unpacked it & got it hung up!
All three dressing gowns had their sleeves inside out. The shirt and belts took a lot of untangling, too.
But I got it done, and back on the computer.

ILC (Independent Living Coordinators), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress, Warden and Primo Ballerina, Warden Deana came in. Bless her cotton socks. Hearing of my failure to get some cotton pads for using the gel on the eyes, yesterday; she had found a pack at home, and had brought it for me to have! ♥

Then Domestic Assistant Denise arrived. We had… well, I had a natter while she was working. Nice gal.
Back on the computer…
Fancy that!

I titivated the laundry and started a new bag, by into a clean dressing gown. As Denise was about to leave, doing her paperwork, Carer Kara arrived for her weekly financial guidance visit. Be lost without that gal.
As I was leaning forward to take a closer look at some mail she had gathered from the letter box – How can I put it? The catheter tube seemed to twist of its own accord! A little blood was found when I inspected things in the lower regions. I went off to the wet room and got things cleaned up. No idea how it happened? And this caused me to get confused with so many visitors, and my concentration bit the dust for a while.

Kara tried to ring Age UK about two letters sent to me. It took her a long time to get through the automated system in place. When she did, she was told to ring back later on 28th August? Kara was baffled as I was at this?

Then she rang PayPal, which ware suddenly unobtainable. No joy with phoning them. But she knew the problem, they had the wrong mobile number for me. She will try to find a way to contact them for me.
What a crazy day!

I used the Deana-gifted eye pads to gel the eye.

Before the rain returned, the sky was wonderful.
The Citrus Way car park.

I got the nosh tended to.
Photoed it when â…”rds of the way through eating it, and Carer Chris called on me. I was just about to watch ‘Heartbeat’ as well on the goggle-box.
Although I was keenly aware that I would fall asleep at the first set of commercials, as per usual. I was well drained by then, and could not hear a lot that Chris was saying to me, as he seemed to find it hard to understand what I was saying. It was a bit surreal, really. He said he was doing the last call later. I finished the meal in between medication taking.
Put the tray on the Carers desk, and had to get up when Chris had gone, to empty the .

As expected, I nodded fitfully off when the commercials came on. I took the plate and cutlery and put it in the sink, with baking soda, bleach and washing-up liquid, to soak and free the gunge from the oven tray.

Very early last call from Carer Chris, about 08:35hrs as I recall. The chime rang out and in rushed Chris. He almost forgot to put the night pouch on, but amazingly I remembered to ask him. Off like a shot the lad perused his other duties, I told him to take a treat-can or bottle with him.

Sleep was no longer an option; all this being woken up breaks the pattern methinks? Laying there waiting for to return… and !!! I suddenly feared that I had left the washing in the sink with the hot water tap running – and found that I had!
No hot water for a late-night shave! I was going to have one cause I couldn’t get to sleep!
Change of plans, then!
I took this photograph of the moody-evening sky.
Bootiful!

I clambered back down in the £300, second-hand, musty, Haemorrhoid Harold Testing, cringingly beige, crumb-covered, not-working, rickety recliner.
It must have taken hours for Sweet Morpheus to enfold me. None of the , which I thought would do in my sleep again, as it has for several nights now. It was so easy to nod off… but it felt like every time I did, I was jumping awake within minutes, repeatedly!

Humph!

Another frustrating day. Errors, mistakes, went to get my toenails cut on a wrong day. Clouted my now aching elbow on the door-frame. Lost the mobile phone, but found the magnifying glass when looking for it. On the bright side, there were only three Porcelain Throne visits. Dropped, and this time, broke one of the China tea mugs… hit my forehead on the sink bending to clean up the mess. Still, Jodie and Carolynne calling cheered me up. Carolynne came while I was adding ingredients to the stew of soup I was making for later; her face was a picture when she looked at it and said… “Should it be that colour?… still it smells nice!” The Catheter tube in Little Inchie has given me more angst than for ages – that was because I had to get dressed to go down to the salon to get the feet done, and Cathleen Catheter does not like the tube being pulled about when I have to walk… mind you, Little Inchie certainly disliked it! I’ve just stubbed my toes again as well!

Emptied the pouch

Nippy and windy this morning. Glum, too!

Potatoes into their crock pot again.

Got an email from matess and mate, HRH Lisa-Petal, and Professor Billum from Ohio. They are going to phone me again; bless them and needed to know the best time to ring cause of the cost. I made a clip of the computer screen in Calendar and sent it off to them. ♥

Busy week. Hang on, I did this yesterday, didn’t I? Oh, dear. I think I’m losing it faster than I thought!

Just before lunch, I stood up after hours at the computer, and the straps on the Catheter pouch fell. Got it emptied just in time!

Carer Atere did the first two calls. On the first, as I went to show him, the taps to check were not let running; for a change, Instead of shoulder charging or head-butting the edge of the door-frame, I hit my elbow joint against it. It’s still stinging now, over ten hours later! Humph!

Got a text message. It’s getting harder to read than ever. I did decipher the short message: “Feet 2 p.m.”

So, I had to get the ablutions done swiftly. And dressed to go down to the salon. By the time I’d got halfway there, Little Inchies fungal lesion was giving my… well, agony! This is why when I do not need to go out, I just wear a dressing gown in the flat, thus relieving the harassment to the inserted tubing. I checked the laundry room for my washing bag but could not find it, and I only have one clean gown left, and I’m wearing that.

I must ask a carer later – I must ask a carer later – I must ask a carer later!

When I got to the salon, well, I wrote about this in the intro. I am a fool!
Carer Kara… no, Jodie pointed out the error that I’d made with reading the message. There was another line with ‘Friday’ on it!

Why I took this… another mystery.

Bit of rain.

THe Adsa order arrived…
Kepy it down this time; not too much bought…

This was the sky at the usual sunsetting time?

Still Bootiful!

CArolynee called on the last visit.

It is now Sunday morning at 01:35hrs. I’ve had a bad day with the concentration, mind-blanks, a tumble, and the mind has not been my own.
Worrying, which comes oh, so easily nowadays, has played a big part in my Saturday sadly-sinking morale. The arrival of the 2nd food order in two days brought on feelings of guilt and shame. Shame that I cannot seem to be logical about anything at all.
This afternoon, when I made a snack and was washing up the few pots used, Weariness-Willy walloped me. I could do nothing but get sat down and drifted into a deep sleep that even the daymares did not spoil – for while dreaming… the usual, distorted things from the early years, somehow I knew I was dreaming and was pleased that I was sleeping. Had Doreen’s Dementia played any part in this catastrophically depressing, mind-wandering Samstag?

First photo of the day. Followed later…
By three more.

Wash and nearly dressed. No trews was put on. I’m not going out anywhere, so a relief for the and me!

The accidentally ordered food arrived…

Porridge and noodles stocked up!

Special Prices on Surf.

Fridge overloaded.

Battered Sticks on offer.

Hello, I’m wee-weeing well!

Then came the mind blank, the big one.
The Carers came, but I can’t recall much or who.

I had a snack of sorts

A pot noodles, and a pot of potatoes.

Weariness-Willy Attacked.
Turned off the computer and
did as the body told me to… I

Woke many hours later and arrived
to destroy my daydreaming. This is when I think I.
waffled on a bit. But maybe not? Yes… I did!

Got back on the computer.
Went to make a brew..

Took some night shots; I’d missed the sunset

Humph!

I went back to the computer and saw signs of my
having been nibbling rather a lot in the bin…

How could I do that and not realise it?

I worked on this blog for several hours.
It was suddenly… to me, 03:20hrs!
Where did the day go?

Made some nosh.
It was horrible!

Got down in the c1966. charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner.

The legs and ankles were looking much improved.

Put the TV on, anything with subtitles…
But it was not needed. Around 04:00hrs, I drifted off into the land of blissfulness and peace.
But, as tired out as I felt, Sweet Morpheus mocked me and woke me up with a jump and jerk several times. The Git!

TTFNski Each!
