00:15hrs: I woke up, in a lackadaisical, lethargic, incurious pococurante disposition. Possibly brought on my the dreams I’d been having? But actual facts of the dream are not recalled at all, but the mood of them, was I think, of a defeatist, negatively-fatalistic nature.
It took a while, and some pointless failed self-analysing before I gave up, and began to haul my extracurricular oversized, flabby torso from the £300 second-hand recliner. Once again, the need for a wee-wee encouraged this activity. I grabbed the four-pronged walking stick and hobbled to the wet room. The SGSS (Short-Gently-Sprinkling-Spraying) evacuation was soon over. Washed the hands and into the kitchen.
No sooner did I get there, I needed to make an imitation dash (quick-hobble), back to the use the Porcelain Throne. Just in time, and it was a messy affair, that needed a lot of cleansing and medicating afterwards. Too much bleeding for my mind. Got freshened up again, and back to the kitchen. On the way, the EQ warned
me of upcoming annoyances. Oh, dear!
I made a brew and imbibed the medications.
Then got the computer on to to the updating of the Monday Inchcock Today diary. But and however, things were not right with the much-hated Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet!

It was a struggle, at it kept failing to save, sticking and coming back on. More annoying than usual, because the Sensory nerves were the best they have been for months, and I knew this would not last long, and they’d, soon be back playing to up. Grumph!
I left the computer and went to make another brew of tea. (Yes, the thirst for tea was back again!)
I took a photo of the view while the kettle boiled, and I boiled inside at Mr Fries and his comically inept internet service! That is guaranteed to let one down! Spit!
I tried once more with the computer.

But not for long, about an hour into updating:

After turning off and resetting, I had to give up again. Thank you again, Mr ‘Incompetent‘ Fries. You really ought to give up on Media and open a hot dog stall in Central Park. Mind, you’d probably burn it down or something! What was it you lied to me about in your last letter, not the one before that one, where you told me the price of the shitty service is going up again! The one sent ten-days ago. Let’s have a look at it, shall we? We might as well, cause there is little chance of doing anything else, like going on the pathetic Liberty-Global powered computer to work! I’ll find it… Ah, here it is. It’s in very small print, isn’t it? Must save your penny-pinching, customer-hating company in ink, I should think. And customers who are silver-surfers (Or in Liberty-Global terminology, Silver Hobblers) will not be able to read you misleading, untrue statements?

WordPress readers, can you believe this! “We know how important it is for your home to get brilliantly fast and reliable Virgin Media Services…” Hahaha! Utter-Tosh!
What happened to the free internet for all the politicians were speaking about? Oh, yes, that was Jeremy Corbyn who promised free broadband for every home under a Labour government. Well, they’ve shot that haven’t they!

At long last, I could get some updating done. Heck of a job, but it was finally completed and sent off. I made a start on this post, but the internet kept going very slow at times, and I had to keep waiting for it to come back on properly.
I sent a few piccies off to Pinterest, then went on the TFZer Facebooking.
Deana called to do alarm checks. I took the opportunity to mention the WC and the leaking hot water tap to her. She kindly said she would inform the maintenance shower for me, and get back to let me know when, if, they are to arrive to sort out the situation, which she says
is just a new washer needed.
The Iceland order arrived and I set about putting the things away. Noticing that there were two substitutes on the order. In place of the two 400g Milk Roll loaves of bread, there were two 800g White Sliced Loaves. I cursed a little inwardly, then aloud! There is no way they will fit in the freezer!

Also, the two 300g packs of Maple Barbeque pork loins, were one, with a substituted 500g plain pork loins. Crap substitutes, rotten Iceland, and I was getting het-up again! Gits! So, I got the checking done and stuff put away, all bar the unwanted, totally different, twice a large, tasteless, unrequested, unwelcome, undesired, unprompted, bland, bread they had substituted!

Iceland is on a par with Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet, Rubbish!
I took the waste bags to the chute – and recycling bag down to caretaker’s bin.
Back up to the apartment, and got the food goods stored away. Taking a picture of the rather bleak weather on view outside.
Got the coat on again, and I took the substituted pathetic flavourless bread down to the Social kitchen. They can use it for toast maybe for the Social kitchen. One lady there, she was on her mobile. She took the
dated 22nd Dec, bread from the trolley and said thank you. Not many folks around, I’d hoped to ask Deana about Mo and how she was, but I forgot to, and there was no one else to inquire of. The office was closed.
I snapped this photographicalisation of the lit Christmas Tree on the way back through the link corridor to Woodthorpe Court.
That little hobble home was one of despondency and low spirits. And I don’t know why.
I got up in the lift to the flat, and had a wee-wee, and found Little Inchies fungal lesion bleeding again. It’s always painful cleaning things up and applying the cream, whether it be the Corticosteroid, Clobetasone, or Daktacort EX cream, they all make one’s eyes water, in this department. Hehe! No idea why I laughed then?
I got the new picker-upper from the three-wheeled trolley guide bar. It is not safe there now, with the plastic gripper having split. Tsk! I’d only had the thing for a few hours before it cracked! Botherations!
As I went into the front room to go to the
computer, I put the picker-upperer on the airer, and gave it a try with light stuff, then had a go at picking up the tub with the Chinese salted sweet nut brittle sweets in it, that I had knocked over earlier, and fell beneath the airer. You can see how large it was in the photo, the sweet wrappers are red. It grabbed and
lifted it alright!
Heated oven ready to have pork steaks (One day life on it! – Shit Iceland), and flavoured beans (marinated with Hoisin sauce for, later on, I hope) for the nosh.
I did some updating on this post for a few hours. I checked the yesterday receipts, before dishing them.
This may be hard to grasp, but yesterday, paying at the self-serve checkout at Asda (Walmart), I think I may have somehow or other, managed to overcharged myself! Sad innit?
I went to check on the unwanted pork chops in the oven. Turned it down a smidge, and went to take some jars down for Warden Julie. Who I found, no longer needs any jars. Ah, well!
Back at the flat, the Warfarin Level and doses had been delivered from the Anticoagulation Haemostasis Deep Vein Arterial Thrombosis Clinic. A mouthful that name, for some reason I like it? The new result, 4.8, far to high, which may go to explain the funny clopidogrel legs lately, as well as how cold I’ve and am feeling with the very thin blood.
I got the meal sorted (blimey the stack of washing up top do!)
I’d made far too much, but what I did eat was okay. Although, the flavouring was also too strong. Flavour Rating; 6/10.
I tackled the washing up, which took a long time, with the grease from the not very lean lamb chops that I didn’t order.
I got settled in the recliner and pondered on the day. Whoopsidangleplops mostly down to Liberty-Global’s Mr Fries and Iceland.
Put the TV on, and fell asleep within minutes!

Off to the Porcelain Throne. Taking care to avoid any toe-stubbings! The session was quick but messy, and I have to tell you what came into my mind as I eventually flushed the cistern: It’s true, the noise it made
Ablution duties next. I think the pins (legs) looked no worse than yesterday morning. But give ’em time! The dropsies were a little more frequent today. Toothpaste, radio, shaving cream, razors (4), showerhead, carbolic soap (2), flannel (2), towel (3), Sock-glide, and alarm bracelet.

I went to the mobility shop first, and there was a different lady serving today. A pleasant and helpful gal. She came to me and asked if she could help, I told her what I was after, and she led me to the two types of pickers they had. One of them was the same as the crap I bought last time. I pointed out the failings in them and opted for the other brand. She pointed out that it is collapsable (something else to break, I thought), and it had a retainer clip on it, so it can be attached to my walker. £15 paid, thanked her, stuck the picker-upperer on the trolley, and off I went.
Then out and off to the Fulton Food store to see if any bargains were on offer. I met with, the names escape me, a sociable couple from the flats, and checked on the bis times with them, to get back home later. Then into the shop, and got some bargains, too many really, how I managed to get everything in the shopper bag and carrier was nothing short of brilliant! Unfortunately, the weight of the carrier bag hanging onto the handle of the trolley meant somewhat risky walking from then on. Keeping my balance was a work of art! I’d bought two large jars of Baxters Baby Beetroots for £1 each. At Asda (Walmart) the small one, was £1.20! At only £1 each, I got black bin liners, Beef pasties, and a large Pork Farms pork pie. Cocktail sausages 60p, three orange biscuits for £1. At the checkout, I saw they were selling Galaxy darker chocolate bars with hazelnuts at 3 for £1. I tried them later, and wish I had bought more of them now, Hehe!)
Then I hobbled carefully along to the Butchers shop. They had some delicious looking cooked roast pork. I got three slices, shuddered at the price, and decided that today’s nosh would be wholemeal cobs, lavishly buttered, and loaded with roast pork and tomatoes, with beetroot and a Cox’s apple on the side! Not like me to be so positive? We’ll see.
Gave up, annoyed at myself and the blooming seagulls! Haha! And took this shot of a more camera-friendly pigeon near the bus shelter. That’s, more my barrow! Hehe!
Back at the flats, I got off the bus last, and a quick hello with those waiting to get on the bus, and to the ILC’s office. But no one in. So I plodded back through the link-corridor to Woodthorpe Court, and got the lift up to the twelfth floor, out, into the flat and dived into the wet room for a sudden and urgent wee-wee.
I got the food put away, and set about making the cols meal. I got the wholemeal rolls well Anchor-buttered, the folded slices of the delicious, out-of-this-world tasting roast pork on each one. Sliced the tomatoes, and added them with a little salt, and put them on the plate.
I heard some very-odd noises from outside, that were not unlike concrete crumbling and falling. Naturally, I had a look outside, but could nothing untoward? I took this snap of the view while the window was open.
I sliced some of the Baxters beetroots onto the plate, and used the apple de corer on the Cox’s apple, and got it presented on the tray with a mini-bottle of fresh orange juice, and the last pot of Ski lemon mousse.

I went to put the kettle on. And another call to the Porcelain Throne was received from the innards. Off to the wet room, with a certain trepidation. The evacuation was fine. But the pins (legs) were looking in a fine mess!
Rubbed some gel; on the knees and had a close look at them. I reckon they are losing their fluid retention already and looked much better than earlier unless it was my imagination?
oven first, as I will not need to use it now. This reminded me about the Fridge Tuna I’d bought for Josie to go with her smoked haddock, that is nop longer needed. Is the date on it going to allow me to keep it until next week? I checked on it.
I was flabbergasted! The use-by-date on the pot of Indian ‘No need to strain’ Tuna, was May 2020! Can that be right? Was Saccades Sandra playing tricks on me? I took a photo of the tub bottom so I could check for sure. I had to take several pictures before I got one that was not too blurred to read. I’ll test it next week before serving it up for Josie to eat!
The rice nosh picture found on the SD card, I can’t fully remember cooking or eating. But the taste was still in my mouth when I woke on Monday morning; as if I’d only just eaten it?

Back to the kitchen this time. I was getting withdrawal symptoms with only having the one mug of tea. I planned to sip it carefully around the lip ulcers. I got the tea and sipping the brew nice, and slowly I avoided catching most of the sores and enjoyed those first few mouthfuls.
The Moon, high in the sky tonight
Nottinghamians dwellings. Some their own, squatters, a few paid for.
I made a start on this post. And after a few hours, I had to go for Poprcelaoin Throne visit number three! I was well-pleased when it turned out similar to the first one, but with bleeding, not as bad as the last one, mind. The pins (legs) were filling with fluid again. However, Arthur Itis was still being kind to me, which was excellent!
Smelling distinctly Dettolish afterwards, I made a mug of tea, and noticed that the moon was still out! And this was around 07:30hrs. Red Sky in the Morning, Shepherds Warning they say. I’ll have a look at the weather forecast. As long as that blustery blowing me about wind stays off, and the Nurse comes early enough if she is calling at all, of course, I may venture i

And there it was! On top of not the pad, but the Tunstall Lifeline Emergency box!
I got the nosh prepared. Pork pie meat, pate cobs, garden peas, beetroot and chips. It was late, well past my usual head-down time, and I was so tired and brain-drained, by the time I got to eat it, I couldn’t manage it all. But what I did eat was fair-enough taste-wise. A flavour rating of 6.8/10 given. But I was so weary, I felt sure that I’d soon nod-off. I put the plate to soak in the washing-up bowl. And went to the wet room, for a wash while

paperwork that came with it was ridiculously small! I put the glasses next to them in this photograph, so you can see the size, or lack of size, of the font, used! The new keyboard letters show you how minuscule the printed matter really was! Impossible to read at all! But the advice given me from my cyber-mate in New Mexico was consulted. The thing to plug into the computer was a bit much for the old fart, and I just did not know which hole it should go into!

I pressed on with the blogging. But, no time for any graphicalisationing yet, time to get the ablutionalisationing done.
Great photo’s, taken by their daughter Debbie. Got me feeling a touch sad at my not seeing them for real, but glad to see them doing well.
Then, half-way along Chestnut Walk in the rain, I was getting sodden wet through and chickened out of going on the hobble. I told Jane, we said our farewells and I got back inside, through the Winwood Court entrance, along the link passage, and into Woodthorpe Court. Up to the flat, and dried off! More stuff on the airers to dry!
The Aldi smoked chicken slices were great. Tomatoes a little bland, but then again, they are out of season and Spanish so what should I have expected. The garden peas with demerara sugar were superb tasting. The beetroots well cooked and not too hard. The Morrison Cox’s apples were bruised and soft though. The cheesy-spuds were okay, but I’d not mixed them enough

g. Got carried away and the time is flying by after the bad start. Thank you, Mr Fries!
I joined the huddle of Winwoodonians at the shelter, as the buses were due to arrive. Luckily they were both a couple of minutes late. The Arnold-bound bus arrived, and 90% of the gang got on this one. The City-bound one came afterwards, and we piled on it. I only rode up
the hill for about three bus stops and got off near Woodborough Road. I got off and walked along to the Aldi store. The sun was intense but had no heat with it this afternoon.
As I was going into the shop, I had a dizzy spell again. Getting a bit regular these are, Mmm!
There may be a clue as to the problems like this. I was going downhill, looking down when this took place? The same last month, with the falls, although in the flat. I was looking down both times when I toppled forwards and onto the deck?
Another mystery photograph I found on the SD card. Taken I think, on Mapperley Rise?
A lot of bumph had been posted while I was out. As I bent to pick them up (the picker stick has broken, a new one needed desperately – but who keeps forgetting – Inchcock does, the fool!), it occurred to me, I was stooping and reaching out, and no signs of any Dizzy Dennis bother? This pu
zzled me, as I bet it will the medics, too!
garden peas adding demerara sugar).
Added the evening doses of medications, and a swig of the ineffective, wishy-washy, impuissant medicines.

Well, if ever I deserved a few moments of Inner-Smugness, it was after doing the ablutionalisationing! It went amazingly well! Dropsies, only four, toothbrush, razors (2) and unfortunately, a bottle of disinfectant when I was cleaning up afterwards, and it split open (plastic bottle). But no bother to clean up, although it was too early to use the shower cause of the noise. So I took water from the sink and rinsed it away, and dried the liquid with paper towels, using my left foot. So I didn’t have to go down on my knees and get stuck down there again. (No nurses to come to save and rescue me today, Haha!) No teeth-cleaning cuts, no shaving cuts! Little Inchies fungal lesion was not bleeding! Fair enough, I did get the odd bruise out of the Sock-Glide usage!
le short natter – but I’d not the hearing-aids in, so I’m not sure what we spoke about, but he laughed, so I did, as he departed. I took the bags one at a time into the kitchen and put the kettle on again, and took a photo of the delivery after I’d emptied the packages, and laid the nosh out, then realised there was no paperwork or email with details to check if anything is missing or not with? Ah, well! Here are some snaps I took of the products I purchases, including some luxury items for Julie and myself.

I had a quick bash on the TFZer Facebook site, before getting Josie’s dinner cooked. Chickpeas in tomato-puree and passata. Two pieces of smoked Haddock, beetroot, cheesy-potatoes, sliced tomatoes, crispy onions, mushrooms and a Limoncello dessert, with a few nibbles, and a Black Tomato for her to have later in the week. Oh, and a can of Gin & Tonic. We had a quick natter and she let me take the photograph as I delivered the meal.
Out, down in the lift, along through the snuggly-warm link-passage, and into the new, heated, rubber floored, gleamingly clean elevator, and up to the fourth floor. I like the commanding voice of the lift messages in these lifts, I can’t understand a word she is saying, but the tone is enough. Hehe!
Back down in the lift, and then along the warm snug people-less link-corridor, back to the cold Woodthorpe Court lift lobby. It looks a little eerie in this picture. The lights are the motion-activated type.
I got the washing up done first (saucepans, oven-dish, spatulas etc.) after serving it up, again because I felt I was soon going to drift off into the land of nod! No handwashing, too tired! Garden peas, with demerara sugar and salt, smoked haddock, beetroots and black tomatoes. I put one on the tray so you can what they look like. Really a different taste, almost meaty.

On a cheerier note, when I got the medications and medicines out to take, I was over-the-moon when I found I had not missed imbibing the evening dosages! At last, I’d gorrit right for once! Somewhat of a victory there for me, after going for about three or four nights and forgetting to take them every night! Smug-Mode-Adopted!
The ablutions went well. With only four dropsies. Oh yes! Razor (2), Carbolic soap and the toothbrush!
I dressed in warm clothing and took the black bags to the waste-chute, returned to the flat and collected the large recycling bag, and took it down with me on the way out.
The drizzle was still falling lightly. I proceeded in an easterly direction (Haha!), and with no one in the ILC’s Holding and Interview room, I went to have a go at the crossword in the big Winwood Socialisational room. I greeted John ‘Herbert’ as I passed him, and ensconced myself on a snug corner and got the crossword book out. I was sat in a high chair, more comfortable to get out of you know! Neighbour young, fit, rich, good-looking Malcolm (I hate him, Hehehe!) spoke, I gave him his little Christmas treat, Jack Daniels & Coke. Many folks walked by me, but being in the corner, they did not spot me or hear my ‘Good Morning’s’. At least I hope it was that, and not my B.O. Haha!
Up the hill, I wobbled and found myself passing the shop that used to be a Tesco that I worked at in 1962ish. The memories flooded back, it was most likely the happiest times for me, working and finding romance there. It had been a Sex Shop for a long time, but I noticed it was now a Charity shop.
told my farewells and continued up Goosegate to Stoney Street, and down in search of some Street Art to picture.
shooting perhaps? So, I turned around to go back to Goosegate. I spotted this Magpie on a mould covered window ledge. The sad bit, bing the sign relating the For Sale of the freehold property. I checked on the web later, out of no [particular interest, on the price. But it just said Sale By Tender. Bet the Magpie’s not bothered either! Hehehe!
I called at the Oriental Mart store on Heathcoat Street, to get some more of the Sukang Puti vinegar and some of the salted peanut brittle nibbles. I found the peanuts quickly and spent a long time searching for the vinegar. After much wandering around and having to of different ways to get through. Because of a lack of room to get the walker through with me, I found a similar flavouring. Chinese Distilled vinegar, it had the same high-acidity of 5% as the Indonesian one does, so I bought it. And that was that, all my shopping for the day, two items! No cause for any smugness, though. Cause I’ve got an Ocado delivery coming on Sunday morning. With Thompson and Glengettie Gold teabags, I never want to run out of them again! And some green tomatoes as a treat for myself for Christmas!
Up over the hill and down Pelham Street towards Clumber Street and the Slab Square. I noticed a distinct atmosphere from the Nottinghamians today. Finding the right words for it is not easy. An antsiness, nervousness, a sense that anything could explode or erupt at any time? And the Christmas rides, stalls and food outlets on the fayre, were not doing much
trade at all, despite it being lunchtime.
Then, down Queen Street, to the L9 bus stop.
corridor to the large Social area in Winwood Court, and to the ILC Warden’s holding and interrogation office. Handed out some nibbles and ha a mini-natter, then onwards through the Windwood to Woodthorpe Court link-corridor. Into the cold lift lobby, and up to the flat.

It was Jenny, with the medications for me, bless her cotton socks. She brought them into the kitchen for me. I had a job handing her some wine as her Christmas treat, and thanked her profusely. I do appreciate all she does for me, she’s saved my bacon a few times, I can tell yer! ♥
I got to sorting meal ag

23:35hrs: I stirred ostensive into ersatz life, calmly, slowly and thoughtfully this Thursday merry morning. The mind was not filled with blasting confusing thoughts, as would it would typically be. There were certain calmnesses and acceptances of something or other that I could not identify. Obviously, the grey-cells must have been active during my sleeping? After a few minutes failing to find what it was I was so relaxed and accepting of, the need for a wee-wee arose.
Got the computer on and checked the appointments on the Google Calendar.
As I began to update yesterday’s blog, the need to divert to the Porcelain Throne arrived. So, off to the wet room. The feeling of trepidation I usually take with me was not needed. This turned out to be an evacuation that went well. Oh, yes! No, I say, No, bleeding from front or rear, minimal pain and a messy-less action! Smug-Mode-Adopted!
Cleaned up, and went to make another brew, took the morning medications at the same time. Then back to the computerisationing.
It was an almost content old Inchcock, who got his things ready, but a couple of cans of the G&T cans in the trolley, to give the staff at the Health Centre as a Christmas treat. Wrapped up well, remembered his gloves, and set off out, down the elevator, through the lobby and out on to Chestnut Walk, and the bitter unwelcoming cold morning.
I stood for a moment in the terraqueous-free road, and had a look around, taking in the peace and quiet.

As I set off on the footpath towards Mansfield Road, a gentleman perambulist on a bicycle, a keen, fit, athletic young sportsman, good-looking, handsome even, shot by me from the back, at a speed that champion cyclist Denis Mueller-Korenek, would have been proud of! The spunk-faced, ignorant crutch-faced git!
I got to the bottom of the walkway, and took this photographicalisation, to mu right, fa
Schuhplattler dancing session!
and called at the reception on the way out, and gave the young lady the can of gin and tonic for her pressie. That cheered her up a bit!
I espied a new to me, anyway, Christmas tree had been put in the ground on the pavement, even from far away it looked a little on the tatty side.
As I got close to it, I realised it was tatty! All bashed about. I wouldn’t be surprised if it weren’t the local yobbery gangs who were responsible! Tut! Or it may have fallen over hence the barriers?
I got some cleaning things from Wilko. Fabric conditioner, fabric freshener and Fragrance booster.
No more mock-dancing, as I started the hobble back to the flats
have heard it!
I turned onto the gravel path top and took this picture of Winwood Heights. The buildings looked quite impressive now that Winwood Court has been finished being built. I considered going up to the roof to photograph the blocked and leaking drains, but I didn’t. Ahem!
I took a last outdoors photo, showing the bottom field and cluster of mixed housing on the hill.
Tiredness dawned, so I got the handwashing done, and made the meal. Maple lamb chops, curried baked beans with balsamic vinegar, tomatoes, wholemeal cobs and lemon mousse. An 8/10 for flavour rating.
freshen up in the wet room.
