wd 0.0.255 23:55hrs: I bestirred without the brain engaged I think. I sensed a reluctance to be activated from the grey-cells. Contentment for everything to end. I must be getting tired of losing the fight against depression, fears, and worries.

Slowly the mind cranked its starting-handle, and I noticed the empty plate and tray from the nosh, lying half-on, half-off of the easy chair next to the £300 second-hand recliner. On which I was laid out, in the exact same position as I fell asleep! TV remote control snuggled between my massive flobby torso and the arm of the chair, and a pen and pad (unused) in the fold of flesh created between my chest the bulbous wobbly bloated stomach.

The thoughts kicked in, and instantly, I began to feel all chastened, timid, vulnerable, and apprehensive at the same time. Trying to find a reason or cause for this, was of course impossible. My decaying ageing brain was floundering. Tsk!

The moment I attempted to physically move my oversized Falstaffian body, with its avoirdupois stomach attached, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived at grease-lightning speed. Off to the wet room. The solidness and unwillingness of the evacuation enabled me the time to enjoy reading a few pages of the Clarkson biography book. On the bright side, the Fungal Lesion was not bleeding on this occasion. Good! Washed and anticepticated the hands and contact points, taps, handles, etc. and off to the kitchen to fo the Health Checks.

6Sat03

6Sat04Apart from the weight, all the other readings were down on yesterdays first Health Checks. The temperature was down a fair bit. Good or bad things? I don’t know. Tsk!

I got the kettle on and had to nip back to the wet room for an SSWW (Sort-Sharp-Wee-Wee) As I carried out this function, I only saw one of the EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles). Ah, might they be on the wane at last? Or are they up to their battleground chicanery and subterfuge tactics again?

6Sat02The view from the kitchen window again inspired me. So I used this scenic early morning photographicalisation for a little witty-ditty for the top of this page.

It was colder than it looked when I opened the window. Spitting a bit of rain as well. I bet that will get in through the gaps between the glass on the balcony.

I got the Friday diary updated and posted off to WordPress. Then went on the WP Reader.

I got this post started off, in between a few more SSWWs. Tsk!

Went onto Facebooking to update the picture albums.

Got the ablutions tended to.

Dec01cI made a start on the Willmott Brown Funny Doctored Graphic post. The latest ones created and added them in the Willmott Brown album on my Facebook page, and a post in WordPress.

wd 0.0.255 Another cock-up with the Excel Personal Diary that I tried to correct. But after hours of trying to, I had to give up again. Deleted it entirely and worked on an older on to update it. Twelve hours gone of my day already and not much achieved.

I hate weekends!

6Sat23Decided to get the nosh prepared, got the mushrooms and Anya potatoes out of the crockpot, ham, dried roast onions, tomatoes, balsamic vinegar beetroots, apple and Limoncello on the tray, and it happened again. The telephone burst into life!

wd 0.0.255 It was Brother-in-law Pete, he showed concern that I had not sent him the link to yesterdays Inchcock Today. I checked while I was nattering with him, and sure enough, I realised I had not! I felt a little confused as to how I forgot to do this. We chattered a while, I thanked him for letting me know and his concern, and got on with sending the link off.

wd 0.0.255 Which, unfortunately, was when Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun attacked.

In the morning, when I came to create this blog, I fear from this point on, the memory was very scarce, No scribbled notes found, like usual. So, I’m not sure what happened next, but I do recall Little Inchies Fungal Lesion bleeding, and I think I must have gone over or knocked into something, cause I woke up in the night with a lump on my head, but only a little one. Hehe! Tsk!

Inchock – Frid 16 Nov 2018: Horrible Day, Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Shaun, Fatigue Frankie and Duodenal Donald, all struck! Tsk!

Albanian: E Premte 16 Nëntor 2018

0145hrs: As I woke and awaited the brain to join my physical movement in action, the morning’s expergefactor made itself known. It was the importunate need to utilise the Porcelain Throne. The removal of bullous dominating abdominal region and body from the £300 second-hand recliner was achieved in minutes, and I hastened to the wet room. Although no toe-stubbing to delay me, I did knock the empty bottle of orange juice off of the side recliner.

WD 29.1.61 I got on the Throne just about in time. An uncomfortable and messy evacuation and Little Inchies fungal lesion needed cleaning up, the blood had leaked then dried; So you will appreciate this was not a painless or pleasant medicationalisationing and cleansing session. Very fermisht!

No call for me to complain, mind. Apart from Hippy Hilda, all the other ailments appeared to be resting. Haha!

5Fri002WD 29.1.61 I did notice a few of the EIBWBBB’s (Curculionoidea) Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles had put in an appearance. Most of them had been killed, presumably by my cough-creating spraying of the Bug Killer. Just one was alive and frisky, he/she got away. I decided that an EIBWBBB search and destroy mission was called for in all the other rooms, just like the last 186 days since the infestation began! Still, now that other tenants have got the same thing, something might get done to help? Although I believe my spending a fortune on the cans of spray and coughing my lungs up, has kept them down a little. He says not knowing what he’s talking about! Haha!

5Fri003Off into the kitchen, where I found around ten dead weevils, but no live ones at least.

The spare room had a decent selection of dead and live ones on the unwanted light and view-blocking new window ledge again.

I found a couple of EIBWBBBs on the hallway carpet as well, much alive.

Washed the hands in antiseptic disinfectant and soap. Off to the kitchen. The Sphygmomanometer operated the first time for the Health Checks.

5Fri001b

5Fri004These first of the days’ readings looked to be all close to what they tell me is normal readings. Apart from the temperature.

Made a brew and guzzled the medications.

I got with finishing the Thursday Inchcock Today. My concentration this morning is pretty wretched, pathetic! But I got it completed eventually.

This idea suddenly came into my tortured brain, for a poem about the view from my kitchen window. Morning Thought in Ryme – and an R.I.P. to the hundreds of Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles (Curculionoidea) I’ve killed and hopes that one day I will be infestation free! I hate it when I get these brainwaves for an idea for a blog, but only like to say, when I get them while I’m in a confused state mentally. This meant I stopped what I was doing because I just had to get the post written! Humph! So, naturally it took me hours, four at least to get the ode done and sent off! Then, I’d forgotten and lost track of my brains thoughts of what I was doing beforehand! Klutz!

Funny rhyme and Weevil thoughts Bit of fun, a laugh and some bad poetry too!

On to Facebook TFZ site to catch up. Finished it at 1140hrs.

Made a brew of teas and dunked some Highland Shorties.

Not good concentration not there, but I got onto CorelDraw, as I was out of Inchcock Today header graphics and got some made up. But nowhere near enough of them. However, Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun seemed to be an alliance of some sort and determined to stop 5Fri006my concentration by making it impossible for me to do any computer work. They won, with the help of Fatigue Frankie’s arrival; which forced me to abandon what I was doing, get something to eat and collapse.

WD 29.1.61 Did the Health Checks, with high results for Sys and Dia again!

5Fri34Got a meal made up.

A mixture of cold fodder on the plate. (Not up to cooking, and now Duodenal Donald is having a bash at me, Tsk!)

So tired and drained yet again, so early in the day too? I was a tad concerned at how I felt, and it is times like this that I appreciate having the Health Alarm Wristlet, just in case.

I ate about a third, if that, of the food, put the tray on the other chair, and turned on the TV.

I woke seven hours later! (Yes, seven hours [I must have needed it] sleep for me!) But I still felt so weary?

Poor old thing! Hahaha!

Inchcock – Thu 25 Oct 2018: Weevils, Whoopsiedangleplops, Social Hour, Shakes and Dizzies, today, Ah, well!

Thursday 25th October 2018

Danish: Torsdag den 25 Oktober 2018

0000hrs: Woke, reluctant to stir. Fell asleep again. Had a dream, something involving my younger days and the mistakes and wrong choices made.

0105hrs: I was still reluctant to leave my pleasant nocturnalness.

2Tue03 As an unintended agrypnotic, as I dismounted the £300 second-hand recliner, I gave myself a toe-stubbing of nocive agony! I caught the corn at the same time. That woke me up alright! I managed to contain the urge to cry-out, so as not to disturb my conjoining neighbours.

Limpingly, I responded to the call for a wee-wee and made sure I had some Rentokil Bug Killer with me, so I could do an investigation and elimination patrol for the Evil ironclad 4Thu001aBoll-Weevil black biting beetles.

2Tue03 In the wet room, they seemed to have called up their Territorial Reserve Battalion from somewhere. There were some dead ones, but mostly the little illegal immigrants were alive and active. Not for long, the spray did its job. I’ll hoover up the corpses later when I can use the noisy vacuum.

4Thu01Into the spare room, where I found far less of the little varmints on the unwanted light and view-blocking new window ledge.

All of these were dead, so the spray is still working on some of them, at least.

Then I went off to the kitchen, got the kettle on, the sphygmomanometer ready for the Health Checks to be done.

4Thu001I’d got a recycling bag made up from yesterday to take down later. It had some Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles on the outside of it, and a LadyBug as well. The Weevils on this bag were much larger than the others elsewhere in my infested Nottingham City Homes apartment. A few dead ones found around, but not many.

These invaders count seems to change every morning. And, how come no other flat has them? This is highly discriminatory. I may write to the European Court of Human Rights about it… No, maybe not! Hehe!

The hemadynamometer worked first-try this morning.

4Thu03

4Thu02The Sys and Dia were both well down for a change. But, the Pulse and Temp remain at the same was yesterday, high.

I shall try to get a bit of hobbling, perhaps around town done today, after the Winwood Social Meeting. Or, maybe a walk to Arnold and feed the mallards… maybe not though, I’ll be tempted to but fodder I don’t need? No, best a bus to town and wander around the side street 4Thu03aand alleyways taking photographicalisations to put on the TFZer site.

Took the medications, made a brew… and had to go for a Porcelain Throne visit. I hope it’s not going to be like yesterdays multiple sessions! I took a Dia-Limit capsule, just in case.

On the computer. Got the Wednesday diary updated and posted off to WordPress.

4Thu04Went on the TFZer Facebook.

The Morrison fodder is arriving twixt 0600>0700hrs, so I’d better get the ablutions done now. No shower, cause it would make noise this early and get me in deep-water with my neighbours.

He showed up as I was typing in the above paragraph.

4Thu05I got the bags sorted out.

I’d ordered some Sourdough sliced bread for today. Not cheap, but I do hope its good and tasty.

I received a free tea-bag of Yorkshire Evening Tea, decaffeinated. And a can of Pale Ale. I’ll give these away later.

I now have a well-stuffed refrigerator with lots of fodder, to keep me going for a few days at least, Hehehe!

Off to the Social Meeting, taking the big white bag of recyclable waste down with me, and dropping off two black bags of rubbish, popping them in the chute on the way down.

The welcoming, but, the cold sun was shining outside.

I took the recyclable bag to the caretaker’s door.

4Thu06Where I noticed one of the workers working on setting up some window frames.

I wasn’t sure if he was doing these for the new Extra Care Block, or for finishing off the few odd balconies on Woodthorpe Court. These are the ones that could not be finished earlier due to support bars for the hoist going through to the wall.

4Thu06aThen I took a snap of another chap in his giant fork-lift come plant machine as I passed him by.

I suffered a very mild Dizzy Dennis attack at this point. It did not last for too long it was a bit too strong for my liking.

However, things were back to normal within a couple of minutes, and I managed to keep my balance without too much effort.

4Thu07I spotted that some of the scaffolding had been removed from the new Extra Care Block.

This revealed some of the outer skin of the building, showing the new, different colouring for the block.

I like it!

I pressed on and arrived at the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Oberstgruppenführeress Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed, Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room. Where a scarcity of tenants was found to attend.

I put the prizes on the trolley, handed around the nibbles and has a few chinwags. Things were going well thanks to Cyndy helping by taking over while Jenny is in India on holiday.

2Tue03 Abruptly, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived. I had hoped to catch the bus to town, but would now miss it, as I had to get to the flat and the wet room sharpishly. I had to say my farewells and leave hastily.

4Thu07aI did take this photographicalisation of the crowded road near the bus stop outside the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Catwalk Models Wardens Temporary HQ. Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed, Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, shed.

2Tue03 As I was walking along Chestnut Walk to the apartment, Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun paid me another visit. This time a long one from Dizzy that put the wind up me for a while. I stood for ages leaning up against the fencing, pretending to be looking at the New Build progress. I’m not sure what happened then, but I found myself in the lift cage as things came back into perspective. No hassle from Dizzy Dennis or Shaking Shaun now, and I felt okay, apart from the urgency of needing another visit to the Porcelain Throne. Bit of a blank period, I think. Not much distinctness about the last few minutes.

I got inside and to the wet room instanter!

2Tue03 Sat upon the Throne, the mind wandered over and considered the situation. I decided not to risk going out. This being my third or fourth visit. Plus the apparent threat of Dennis’s Dizzies and Shaun’s Shaking returning. The evacuation was no bother.

I took a magnesium and Ramipril capsule with the midday medications and got the Health Checks done. Pulse still high?

I’ve made notes to tell th2U01e nurse about at Tuesday’s INR Warfarin blood test.

I tried doing some graphics, but the concentration went after doing a couple of them. No more Dizzies, though.

Then, I just know that you are going to find this terribly had to believe.

Even staggering, amazing, astonishing, astounding, confounding, incredible, mind-boggling, overwhelming, shocking, stunning, surprising, unbelievable, mind-blowing, and that it all a fantasy… but

4Thu08

Computer abandoned.

I did a good bug spraying in each room bar the one where I sleep in the £300 second-hand recliner.

I took this panoramic shot of down below, from the kitchen window when @I did the last Health Checks and took the medications.

4Thu09

4Thu24Sorted the nosh. Served it up. Ate most of it.

The slice of Warburtons Toastie bread with sourdough was unstimulating, bland and flavourless. The rest of the meal just about passable. 5/10 Taste-Rating.

I put the TV on after consulting the programme listings and picking out a few to watch… but I fell asleep within a minute… Zzzz. Nice!

Inchcock – Sunday 21st October 2018: Much graphicationalisationing achieved. Then the ailments attacked. Tsk!

ZZZ23U

Sunday 21st October 2018

Italiano: Domenica 21 Ottobre 2018

0030hrs: Woke, with no signs of the bedevilled mood of last night. In fact, I was mentally feeling somewhat spontaneously perky, chirpy and kinetic. No damp, wet feelings from Little Inchies fungal lesion area and Harold’s Haemorrhoids were only itching, no pain, no bleeding.

I even found I was humming and singing to myself before I’d tackled the usually painful and challenging job of removing my flobby-stomach-dominated torso from the £300 second-hand recliner. Which I did, without any Accifauxpa, Whoopsiedangleplop or toe-stubbing! Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun both kept off, as well. Hippy Hilda let me be, as well!

This mental qui vive, I found incredible, unnatural and synthetic to my lifestyle. If I could understand why I felt like this, to realise the reason, then maybe I could relax more. My high EQ warned me that things would soon deteriorate! Yet, I ignored it for once, carried on singing and got myself up.

I decided to go on my morning parasiticide mission, with a can of both ‘Raid’ and ‘Sanmex’ killer sprays at hand!

7Sun15The results: Kitchen: 1 live Weevil – three dead. Wet Room: 21 dead Weevils – two live ones. Spare Room: 30 or so dead Weevils – two live! Add to this, in the wetroom I felt sure the one live beast was of a different race or type. But he disappeared down the hole in the floor covering corner sealant before I could get a better look. Tsk!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Washed the hands and returned to the kitchen to do the Health Checks.

7Sun07a

Took the medications with some spring water. Made a brew of tea, and the need for a visit to the Porcelain Throne arrived. By gum, it was good one too! No bleeding at all! Far less liquidified, I even managed to read a couple of pages of Jeremy Clarkson unofficial biography.

BikeGot the computer on, while crossing my fingers that the $111.9 million salaried CEO of Liberty-Global Virgin Media, Mr Fries, might have got the connection working correctly again. All seemed to be working. It comes to something when one has to mention this so often.

I set about finishing off the Saturday post. Took me around two hours.

Then I went on TFZer Facebooking. Got some graphics I’d done posted as well.

BikeI added these to the Facebook album for each TFZer gal, and the Facebook gallery of TFZer Transport album, and put them on the TFZer site as well.

On to WordPress comments, there were tons of them to reply to.

But I soon got them both done. Hehe!

7Sun16Made a start on this blog as far as here.

Then as I went to make another brew of tea, the view outside looked grand, some I fetched the camera to take some shots across from left to right.

Things seemed to be going well as I hung out of the window to take the photographicalisation.

For some reason, the close up of the moon did not turn out much like it actually looked to the naked eye? I took several pictures of the yellow moon above the horizon of the buildings, but none of them proved to be a good one.

This is the best of the bunch. The last two were, I think the only ones that came out alright.

On the last one at the bottom, shows the new unwanted light and view-blocking balcony.

Of course, you can’t see the warped wooden flooring, bird-poo covered glass, or the whatever it is crumbling from the ceiling, which is the old underpart of the balcony above. But, the bird’s feathers, fleas, LadyBugs and nuts and bolts give it a bit of character, though.

Really though, we tenants are being treated to a £2M upgrade. Fair enough it’s about 19 months now and still a long way to go, much more to come. My fear is the fitting of the Fire Sprinklers. Well, not the fitting, but the mess that will be left behind. Mostly from the electricians and any plasterers. Let’s face it with the plasterer ruining my carpets, they will need replacing, curtains and blinds buying for all the windows and a mass of cleaning up and sorting out to do when it is finally finished. I’d better stop thinking about it now, I’m upsetting myself. Hehehe!

When it came to my closing the new window, after completing the photographicalisationing, things got a tad embarrassing.

7Sun18WD74.1.1 The intelligent design of the new unwanted window handles are.

  • In the down position, the window is closed.
  • Half-way, the window opens downwards.
  • Pointed upwards, they open sideways.

Clever stuff, eh! That is until a Klutz like me uses them.

For the life of me, I could not get the handle to go down, to close it after use. Much grunting and selecting words of a dubious nature, did not help. Eventually, I worked it out. If you catch and move the key in the lock, even an eighth of an inch from centre, the mechanism will not shut. Ah, well, now I know! Hehe!

Back on to CorelDraw to work on some graphics. Got a lot done from the photographs I took from Gaynor’s flat window. ♥ I faded weary-wise quickly as I finished doctoring these graphics. Here they are… The Willmott-Dixon lads and contractors! I’ll use some later as Inchcock Today page headers as well.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Making the meal, I had an attack from Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun, only short ones, but they left me with sudden dysbulia and weariness. My life and will-power batteries had abruptly run out.

I felt so tired and incapable of mental rationale.

7Sun19

It was very odd, but I only ate one bit of the bread and a couple of spoonfuls of the beef and bean stew, before just giving up, taking the tray into the kitchen and disposing of the fodder. After all that effort to make the dish in the first place, and get it right, too! Ay-yay-yay!

Then I sat down and had hours of nodding-offs, for times varying from a minute to five-minutes and almost jumping awake again repeatedly. The brain showed no interest, subservient to my condition of being befuddled at my own acceptiveness of the situation.

Inchcock Today – Sun 23 Sept 2018: Evil Boll-Weevil Beetles Winning the Occupancy of the Flat War, Oy Vavoy!

ZZZ22J

Sunday 23rd September 2018

Latvian: Svētdiena, 2018. Gada 23 Septembris

7Sun07a0010hrs: I think that the evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles just might be getting to me now. I had a dream during which I found myself chasing after an enormous-sized escaped Weevil, and I was as trying my best to shepherd it back to the flat with a broom!

Why? Who knows? Haha!

The mind’s thoughts were missing their usual incomprehensibility, replaced with an extraordinarily rarely adopted, ‘Dynamic Decision-Making’ mode. I decided that I would get up and sound my Shona (hypothetically speaking), to warn the evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles of my coming onslaught against their numbers!

I detached my wobbly frame from the £300 second-hand ageing recliner with no difficulties.

WDP001c7Sun10 I started sneezing, shivering and stubbed my toe against the large Ottoman. (It’s got to go! Hehe!) To the kitchen, and boy, was it cold in there this morning. I went to put the storage heater on, but the heat setting sign thingy showed up in red? 24°c and Comfort Off?

Got the old snug heavy dressing gown on.

I remembered the heaters are all Storage design. So, it will be maybe 12 or 24 hours before the heat comes on as the thing heats at night only. Then, quick as a flash (Klutz!), I realised it was still night, and it should be heating up now? Next, I could not remember for sure, how the controls worked. Finally, I gave up and started on the morning attack plan… but got distracted by the call to the Porcelain Throne.

Messy mellifluously semi-liquified evacuation. Bad enough for me to decide when I take the medications, I’ll add a Dia-Limit capsule to them. I started the blitzkrieg against the asylum seeking, immigrant, bloodsucking,  evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles. Sparing no ammunition as I did so.

Washed up and the bait traps were laid in the wet room. Although, I only found about ten or twelve infant weevils, all dead in that room. A final spray of the more costly but effective Rentokill Flea Killer around the edges and hole in the floor covering.

7Sun03To the spare room.

On the new unwanted light and view-blocking window’s ledges, I found a lot of Weevil bodies to the left-hand side.

These were larger than those in the wet room, but not fully grown monsters yet.

7Sun02To the right-hand side of the new light and view-blocking window’s ledge, the beetles were smaller. I think perhaps they are coming from their living quarters through the little hole left when the windows were fitted.

You can see the gap in this photograph, rear right. Three of these small invaders were alive, but being so dinky they could not bite through 7Sun01the skin… although they did their best to.

As I was removing these bodies, a few more of the cheeky not so little warriors came out to scare me off, I think.

A good spray from the getting worryingly low Bug Killer was given.

I moved on with my plan of attack. To the kitchen.

WDP001c I was actually sweating now, yet felt so cold at the same time, bamboozled me a bit, this did? I took off the dressing gown and put it back on seconds later, due to it feeling so cool again without it on. I left it open. A compromise you see? If anyone of the Mammonistic leaders of the European Economic Community is reading this, please learn!) Compromise: a way of solving a problem or ending an argument in which both people or groups accept that they cannot have everything they want! What am I saying? No chance! Hehehe!

To the kitchen, where to my surprise, no evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles were found, dead or alive! I suspect they have another cunning plan of military action to confuse me with?

I forgot to check the main room new unwanted light and view-blocking balcony window bottom for any invaders. I think that finding no beasts in the kitchen, caught me right off-guard.

Then I carried out the Health Checks.

7Sun05

7Sun11The Sys had gone back up, and the weight even more so! Humph!

I sorted out the new dosage pots for next week.

Made a brew and into the main room to the computer ready to start on this diary page.

Had a visit from Dizzy Dennis as I sat here typing. Not a long one, indeed a short one. But, it left me feeling a little dwaal afterwards for a short while.

I went into the kitchen to make another mug of tea.

WDP001c I spotted one evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetle in the sink. I poured some bleach on him or her, got the Rentokill and sprayed that too. The Weevil was a little bigger than the others I’d seen this morning, but far from the biggest, I’d seen lately. The heroic thing walked hastily up the side of the sink out of the spray and bleach – got to the top and stopped looking at me I think. I got the finger to pick him up with, and he bit into the skin. RIP, you indomitable Paladin Warrior!

7Sun13

7Sun12I collected the sprays, two with hardly any poison left, the other nearly full.

I left them out on the £300 second-hand recliner, to remind me to fetch some more when the shops are open on Monday.

Hopefully, I won’t forget about them and sit on them later. Hehehe!

Went on the WordPress Reader and enjoyed the stuff that had been posted. There was not much of it, but good stuff!

7Sun14I noticed the temperature in the kitchen when I made another brew. About 14°c.

No wonder I’m sneezing and shivering. Yet, in the main room, the heat is showing as being 24°c! I’m confused now. Not that this is an unusual happening, me being bemused. Haha!

I’ll have a check on the weather.

Got the black bags sorted ready to drop in the waste chute when I get out.

Ablutions tended to.

Down and out into the surprisingly sunny day. I dropped the recycling bag near the pleasantly adorned caretakers’ door.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

7Sun18I met Welsh William and Keith, as they were coming back to the flats along Chestnut Way. Then chatted with a lady from Winchester  Court.

As I turned right down the Winchester Street Hill, the amazing sky had to be photographed.

Bootiful!

I plodded down the road, viewing mother nature’s creations. The plant life, trees, bushes, 7Sun19wildflowers and the scowls and looks of depression on most peoples faces that I saw.

I thought that this pretty picture of the Winchester Street, Mansfield Road junction in Sherwood, had a surreal theme to it.

I forget now what made me think this at the time. Sad, innit?

7Sun20I look noticed the old Cheapo shop was being converted into a Hugo’s. Never having heard of Hugo’s, I looked it up on the internet later, found a Price List for their Tynemouth branch and found that:

Work has begun to transform a former Blockbuster shop into an upmarket cocktail bar in Sherwood. And it hopes to be open by early November in time for those festive nights out.

7Sun34a.jpgThe new venture – one of three new bars planned along Mansfield Road – will be called Hugo’s, after the owners’ young son and the elderflower-flavoured cocktail. Hugo’s is promising an extensive range of handcrafted cocktails “from classics through to the new and unique,” said the couple behind the bar, Katharine and Adam Shaw. There are so many lovely places to eat in Sherwood, like Ginza, Ania, etc. but very few to sit and have a drink in. Apart from Sherwood Manor, Samuel Hall, La Capanna, The Robin Hood, Sherwood Inn, Finns, The Caribbean Queen, and Le Mistral.

Adam added: “Hugo’s will endeavour to work closely with the community and help Sherwood grow even more than it has done. We will be running cocktail master classes, themed evenings and other events throughout the year.” As well as handcrafted cocktails, the bar will be serving fine wines and a selection of quality bottled beers, ales, lagers and ciders from around the world.” “Hugo’s will help to make Sherwood the destination for a night out, adding to the already fantastic places that Sherwood has to offer. Like, Cancer Research, Oxfam, The Hospice Shop, Eastern Europe Charity Shop, New Leaf Massage Parlour, Sue Ryder Charity shop, Cancer Research shop, Children’s Society Charity, and the Mind Charity shop. Also, nine empty retail units waiting for any entrepreneurs prepared to risk bankruptcy.

Just thought I’d mention it, like. I believe in the Glass half-full v Glass half-empty scenario, I might be in the Glass-half-empty brigade? Hehehe!

I called in the Wilko store and got a pleasant surprise. They had the ‘Raid Ant & Cockroach Killer’ sprays on offer! I got four cans for only £2.80! Amazing! I bought some Dia-Limit capsules and a bottle of bleach as well.

7Sun21I paid the woman on the till and left, out and off up the hill and down the other side, and into Woodthorpe Grange Park.

The bottom field and around it was full of caravans, vans and mobile machinery of varying types. I wondered what was going on?

I later found out on the web.

Residents fear walking their dogs as travellers pitch up in Sherwood. Residents say they fear walking their dogs on a park where a group of travellers have pitched up.
Around 15 caravans drove on to Woodthorpe Park on Thursday (September 20) on the football pitch. (The weekend games had to be cancelled)
The travellers have been given a 24-hour notice to leave but local resident Martyn Newton, 61, of Perry Road, has been left frustrated. Mr Newton, who works in the chemical industry, said: “I would not walk through the caravan site with the dog – it’s only a little Yorkshire terrier – but she would be frightened to death. They just get an angle grinder and cut the lock. It’s not difficult for them,” he said.
A Nottingham City Council spokesman said: “Community Protection (This will be the Community Protection officers we never see, I assume?) is aware of the travellers on 7Sun22Woodthorpe Grange Park. They have been issued with a 24-hour notice to leave this afternoon, and we will seek to take further action if they remain beyond that.” Today is Sunday; that didn’t work, did it.

These two little dogs seemed a bit annoyed at their not being able to take their owners on the field for a game of fetching the ball. Hehe! They did not venture into the area of travellers, and wisely so, too.

7Sun23I ambled on up the path to the top and turned right to face the Tree Copse with the flats behind them.

As I viewed the copse from outside, I became concerned at the state of my beloved tree copse. Yobs had hacked another route through it from the bottom to top. Grr! It looked so thin and ragged now.

Down the gravel footpath, the plates-of-meat and toes were smarting, so painful now. I will have to ask Foot-Lady Sue, who is due next Thursday to tend to the tootsies if she can not leave it so long between visits.

Down and into the flat, a short-sharp-hurtful-wee-wee first. I had a visit from Dizzy Dennis while performing the evacuation duty. Not a long or bad one, though.

7Sun24Put away the purchasers, leaving a can of Raid in the spare room and wet room, to replace the spray-cans I’d already emptied in my failed campaign to rid myself of the evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles.

Did the Health Checks and took the medications.

I got the beef and onion gravy in the saucepan to reheat. Then went to see if anything was worth watching on the TV. I was now getting so tired and was not up to concentrating on updating this blog tonight.

7Sun25I looked at the TV listings, but there was nothing that appealed to me. So I got out the Jonathan Creek DVD’s to watch later.

You can see what I mean about me not liking the new windows here.

The old windows were just one pane of glass, that gave a marvellous view of the scenery out 7Sun38sided. Compare it with the magnificent view permitted by the old window.

A photographers’ nightmare thee new ones.

The balcony windows are even worse.

But never mind, Jenny will only tell me off if I say too much about them. Hehe!

7Sun26I got the nosh sorted and served up.

Braised beef in onion gravy (I Overdid the onions a bit, hehe!), excellent tasting green beans and sliced potatoes.

I was well pleased with how it came out, cause I did get myself in a pickle with the timing of the cooking. A shame, because now I still don’t know the correct timings if I ever try to cook this again. And, what a mess of washing up to do afterwards. (Haha!)

Gave this effort a Taste-Rating of 9.4/10.

I stayed awake for two whole episodes of the DVD.

Wednesday 1st August 2018

Dutch: Woensdag 1 Augustus 2018

0425hrs: Woke up, but wasn’t entirely sure if I had woken up or was I still dreaming. I’d had a bad night, couldn’t get to sleep at first, then when I did drop-off, I had persistent nightmares and dreams.

In one of them, the only one I can recall anything concrete from the memory banks about, I was on stage doing a stand-up comedy routine. The laughter from the auditorium seemed long and loud, and I was delighted at this. When they started to throw eggs and Molotov cocktails at me, then started shooting at me, I found myself suddenly in a dark confined space. I realised where it was, as I was shot-out of the torpedo tube! Not sure what happened next, but I ended up on a beach, unable to move with holidaymakers amazed and studying me like they would a beached whale?

For some reason, the scribbled notes that I can’t remember writing on the notepad were mostly legible for once.

It came to me; that I have to get to the hospital for the blood tests today. This prompted me to get my body-mass out of the £300 second-hand recliner and go to the Porcelain Throne and do the ablutions.

3Wed03WDP001B As I settled on the Throne, to find that things had gone all soft and runny again (Tsk!), it dawned on me; I do not have a blood test this week!

I cleaned up after the uncomfortably messy evacuation, washed my hands and went to the kitchen to get the Health Checks done.

The results looked alright.

3Wed02

Apart from the weight that had shot up. Humph!

3Wed04Took the medications, with a Dia-Limit capsule.

Started to make up a black waste bag, and found a few (around ten) of the black iron-clad biting beetles were in the bin I’d taken the bag out of.

The nippy little buggers dispersed at high speed, and I could only get to catch one of them. I sprayed the bins with antiseptic disinfectant. By gum, they are quick movers!

3Wed01It felt so cold this morning suddenly.

I got on with finishing off yesterday’s post.

With a lack of happening on Tuesday and the rain keeping me indoors, there was not much time needed to do the job of finalising and getting the diary posted off to the WordPress site.

3Wed04aThen I began to make up this blog page.

Went to make a brew of tea.

As I did so, the innards began to rumble a bit?

The skyline looked a tad threatening, so I had a look at the weather forecast for Nottingham on Google.

3Wed05

Not much chance of any precipitation until this evening according to this graph.

WDP001B Suddenly the innards started to brew, and I had to hasten back to the Porcelain Throne again. Another messy evacuation. Huh! Still, it gave me time to consider whether I should have a walk into town or not. For Dizzy Dennis was starting to get at me now, and I couldn’t see why, or if he will let up later, as he usually does.

Decisions, decisions! In psychology, decision-making is regarded as the cognitive process resulting in the selection of a belief or a course of action among several alternative possibilities, often misread or incalculable. At least that what found as I looked it up on the web when trying to find a cause of my hesitancy, irresoluteness, and pendulous shilly-shallying. I tentatively decided I would go out, and have a good long walk to help counter my increasing weight, and feed the mallards in the Nottingham Arboretum.

I went onto the WordPress Reader.

Then got myself ready and took the black bags to the chute on the way out.

WDP001B I went back to the flat to put my hearing aids in. Schlemiel!

3Wed06Out and onto Chestnut Walk.

Another fear-making take-your-life-in-your-hands job getting along the now pavementless road. The builders were very busy again.

The plates-of-meat soon started aching and hurting, before I even got half the way down Winchester Street. But this was expected with my not getting much activity in lately.

3Wed07I plodded on resolutely.

And was so amazed at the progress I was making.

And, not a single Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist on the two-mile hike as far as the Rock Cemetry. Where, I thought about going in to view my Architectural hero’s grave, that of Fothergill Watson. By the time I got to the gate, 3Wed08I had realised I could not remember where it was located. Klutz!

I Carrington I called on the Sherrington Park Medical Practice to ask if the doctor could add some haemorrhoid cream to my prescription.

But she was not there.

I left and went further down Mansfield Road and 3Wed09crossed over to go to the Carrington Chemist shop.

The pharmacist spotted me going up to counter,  and hid. Hehe! I asked the young lady about there being no haemorrhoid cream in last months prescriptions. She said, after looking into the computer, the Doctor had stopped prescribing them now, and I would have to buy some over the counter. Part of the Governments cut-backs to save the NHS money. I was Gobsmacked!

3Wed10I departed and crossed the road and continued my, by now hobbling progress toward the Arboretum.

Near the Clarendon College, I spotted this BigBoy Waste bin as I passed a bus stop. Blimey, the stink coming from it! Haha!

Up the hill and noticed the time on the bus shelter display3Wed11.

I cut through to South Sherwood Street

An area inundated with student residences, ladies of the night and drug gangs.

It doesn’t matter what time of day it is when I walk down this street, I’m always on alert for muggers, pickpockets, druggies, alcoholics etc. None today, though. Phew!

3Wed11aAs I entered the grounds and walked under the MPB (Muggers Paradise Bridge), it was apparent that some kids play organisation had taken over the bottom area of Arboretum.

Much to the chagrin of some of the organisers, I took some photographs of how far they had got with play areas, bouncy castles, playground games for the kids.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

No one else about apart from the veggie-folk and me. I image the show will start later on today. Bet the kids who go enjoy themselves.

3Wed19I got to the pond. Only one or two Nottinghamians were about there too.

Only the pigeons showed any interest in the mealworm pellets and sunflower hearts I was dishing out, at first.

Later my favourite mallards came over and joined in the feast. But not many of them, and they all appeared so young?

I love the way that the pigeons and mallards seem to get on with each other.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I came out with a good bit of weight in the bags and only £8.03 lighter in the pockets. With; Choc bars for the Social Hour nibble box, 1×6 500g spring water, a drink of fresh orange juice, 2 rolls of black refuse sacks, balsamic vinegar (At only 57p a bottle!), oven bottom muffins and some cocktail sausages.

3Wed20Paid the bloke, packed the bags to even the weight balance and out and back over the road to go through the Victoria Mall again.

I spotted this bit of Nottinghamian Street Art on the way. Hehe!

As I came out onto Milton Street. Now this is true, not a made-up photographicalisation, the real deal, genuine and honestly I took this snap 3Wed21in the front of the mall door.

Yes, two, I say two imitation police officeresses, making their way into the Victoria Centre, as the giggled together.

The uniforms looked bright and new?

So, that is three pretend officers of the law I’ve seen in town in the last six weeks now. Things are looking up. Humph!

3Wed22I made my weary way through Trinity Square, down Trinity Walk onto Upper Parliament Street and down King Street into the slab square, to have a look around the Nottingham Beach.

Not many people on the beach though. But today there were three kids having fun in the paddling pool, mind.

3Wed23On the ‘broad-walk’, a Nottingham PAvement Cyclist was riding through the few folks there were.

His head swaggered ass he stopped to chat-up some young Nottingham girls.

Naturally, I was not jealous, at all. Haha!

I made my way up Queen Street to the L9 bus stop and found Mary sat at the shelter. (I think that is her name anyway).

We had a little natter en route back to the flats. I’d nodded off by the time the bus arrived at the Winwood building site. I was a bit surprised that Mary did not wake me up, a complete stranger lady did, though. I gave her thanks. What a plonka!

3Wed24Our getting back to Woodthorpe Court from the bus stop was bit hazzardous again.

Deliveries coming into the Willmott-Dixon lads, forklifts, tractors, and general traffic had to be navigated through.

Got in the lift and gave Mary a nibble. That’s sounds bad, dunnnit? Haha!

3Wed25We said out cheerios, and I carried on up in the lift and got to the flat.

Had a much needed wee-wee.

Put the fodder away and put the oven on to warm up for the seasoned chops to cook later.

Got the computer on and made up a map of this mornings hobble.

Cor blimey, the plates-of-meat were giving me some Michael Caine after the mini-marathon trek I’d taken.

Cost me three hours to update this blog.

Then I went on TFZer Facebook to add some of these photos for the clan.

Put some picture in the albums, too.

Got the meal, such as it is cooking. Well, the seasoned potato slices in the oven.

3Wed29aWDP001B Unfortunately, I forgot about the beans simmering in the saucepan, and when I went to check the potatoes progress, I found a semi-burnt tough congealed mass of leathery almost black baked beans!

Cunningly, I removed the pan from the heat, and stirred in some tomato and basil cooking sauce, and remained in the kitchen stirring it, while the potatoes cooked.

As it happens, apart from the cleaning up of the burnt saucepan afterwards, the beans tasted marvellous! In fact, everything on the plate tasted good. A taste Rating of 9.45/10!

The washing up took a record amount of time, though. Tsk!

While putting the pots away, I missed a phone call. Too slow to get to the other room. Humph!

When I got settled down, I put the TV on after planning what to watch tonight. There was an old film on I fancied seeing. But I nodded off and woke up when the credits were rolling on the screen. Hehe! At least I got some kip in for a change. Add this to the falling asleep on the bus, I did rather well. Even had a kind lady to wake me up at the bus stop.

Some exercise got in, saw and fed the mallards, saw police persons in town… Not a sad day for me!

Inchcock Today – Saturday 28th July 2018: Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Shaun and Missing Memory Periods. Oh, dearie me! Poor Old Thing

ZZZ18q

Saturday 28th July 2018

Armenian: Շաբաթ 28 Հուլիս 2018 թ

0530hrs: What an expergefaction this morning! Confusing and it went on for ages:

  • I woke and lay there trying my best to recall the dreams I’d had. I think they involved my past employment, but nothing concrete remembered.
  • When I came to extract myself from the £300 second-hand recliner, the oh-so guilty signs of Nocturnal nibbling and drinking were evident.
  • The need for the Porcelain Throne arrived swiftly and what a mess that was! Gooey! Needed an awful lot of cleaning up and medicationalisationing after the evacuation.

6Sat05I washed and cleaned up and returned to the recliner room.

I took this photograph through the filthy unopenable bird-poo covered new window.

Looking down, it seemed we had had some rain last night, but not a lot.

The sky did look a tad threatening of more to come.

WDPBL02a: Flipping heck, had I been nocturnal nibbling and drinking or what! On the other chair was the tray from last nights meal, containing the empty plate and cutlery, and added after eating, a pork pie wrapper with half of it consumed, empty 6Sat06cheese curl wrappers, and get this, folks, no less than four empty spring water bottles and an orange juice can!

I cleared them all up, washed the things and got the recyclable can and bottles into a white bag.

It then dawned on me how cold it felt this Saturday morning.

6Sat03I looked at the monitoring thingamajig, and it indicated that the temperature was the same as yesterday morning. But blimey, it feels nippy!

I nipped for a wee-wee (For the sake of saving space, let’s assume that I did this every half hour or so, please), then took the medications, once again adding a Dia-Limit Capsule to the morning doses.

6Sat08I tried to take a shot of the rain now falling.

There was a strong wind out there blowing against the air-stifling, view-blocking, filthy plastic covers on the outside of the already dirty windows in the kitchen.

Then, I went into the balcony bird-poo covered window. To try and take a picture of the bottom field to show that the grass on it was already starting to go green again in spots. Nature really is marvellous!

I noticed when I put the picture on here that I had caught the reflection of my hairy legs and rotund torso in the photo. Hehehe! Good job I had just replaced my PP’s with clean ones. Haha! Almost ghostly do you think? If I’d tried to get this image, I wouldn’t have known where to start.

I updated the Friday diary and got it finished and sent off. Then I got the Health Checks done.

6Sat04

6Sat09The rain stopped.

On the bashed about balcony base, it had soon started to dry out.

I wondered how much the screws, bolts, and hinges left on the base might be worth. Hehe!

It was not feeling any warmer yet though, the wind kept falling and getting up again, the sun came out around 0845hrs. The distant clouds did look a bit grey.

6Sat10I made a large mug of tea using one Twinings best Strong Breakfast Tea bag, and an Asda (Walmart) weak flavoured cheapo one, with just a splash of milk. It tasted grand!

I got on the computer again to start this diary off.

I suppose I should nip to Sherwood this morning to get some of the liquid soap flakes I forgot to get yesterday.

Went on the WordPress Reader Section. Did some comment reading, well the one I received anyway.

Must get the ablutions and medicalisationing done now. Then get out to fetch the Liquid soap-flakes.

Back in a bit.

Health Checks were done.

6Sat11Got an early nosh prepared and eaten. I enjoyed this meal and gave it a Flavour Rating of 9.55/10, the highest for a long while.

I thought I’d go to the wet room to do the ablutions.

WDPBL02a I didn’t get as far as the wet room. En route, I was suddenly overcome with lethargy, lassitude, and languor. Not poorly as such.

Then Dizzy Dennie and Shaking Shaun started to kick-off, and that little combination did for any life in me, for the rest of the day. The blank-spots were more numerous that things I can remember from here on.

I think Sister Jane or someone rang.

I found in the morning that I had taken the last medications and done another Health Check – by seeing the scribbled updated Health Check Rota on the notepad and the Saturday pots of tablets were empty.

Not a very enjoyable or active rest of the day for the Nottingham Lad.

Again, no sleep came. I seemed to recover somewhat after midnight, but along with this, the grey-cells became overactive. Everything that came into line for consideration caused anxious, dithery, jittery, nervous and perturbed mind activities. Oddly enough, no wee-wee’s were taken. (Until after I’d got in a few hours kip and woke up!) Hehe!

This contradictory, unfathomable day, seemed to go like a week!

Inchcock Today – Thursday 26th July 2018: A good start for the day – horrible ending. Int, life confusing? Hehe!

Thursday 26th July 2018

Basque: 2018 ko Uztailaren 26an, Osteguna

0430hrs: Stirred into semi-life, in need of the Porcelain Throne. Dismounted the £300 second-hand recliner with relative ease and got to the Throne, again just in time. I did see signs of the nocturnal nibbling as I got up, Tsk!

Took the medications and did the Health Checks.

4Thu001a

Started to finalise the Wednesday Diary and got it posted off.

4Thu02The intercom chirped into life, the Morrison delivery had arrived. The driver was Kevin again, pleasant chap.

I think I may have overdone the ordering again.

I’d ordered two different types of milk and three loaves of bread?

4Thu01

I managed to get the fridge and freezer cram-packed once more. Klutz!

I then made a brew and went on Facebooking for a while. A second call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, dramatically suddenly! Not sure how I got there in time, well, I didn’t really. What a mess to sort out!

4Thu001I decided to do the ablutions after cleaning up, while I was in the wet room.

Noticed that the bruises were clearing up well on the left thigh, where I walked into the corner of an open cupboard on the ramshackle 1964 G-Plan cabinet.

Shaved, teeth cleaned, scrubbed-up and deodorised, I observed some of the mini-ironclad biting beetles were on the floor near to the back cabinet? They were far too quick for me to catch any.

3Wed30Went to the kitchen to make another mug of tea.

Some more of the tiny iron-clad beetles had occupied the window ledge. One of them apparently on guard duty on the top of the kitchen towel.

I went to pick up the kitchen roll he was on, he came straight at my finger, bit me; and shot off, not to be seen again! I wondered if this indicated a possible nest somewhere?

Forgot all about making a brew, and got the nibble-box filled, raffle prizes and put the Sourdough loaf I had over-ordered, to see if anyone would like it, into the bag.

WDPBL02a: Went on the WordPress Reader section. Virgin Internet went down again. I turned everything off and left it.

Soon time to get ready for the Social Hour meeting.

I took these photographs on my wander around the site and on the way to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Flats, Unterscharführeress Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed, Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room, for the Social Hour.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

See the X on one of the photos? They have now blocked off the footpath altogether. So, the only option is to use the road on Chestnut Walk. No pavement access left at all now. Dangerous or what? Tsuris, is undoubtedly imminent here? Tsk!

Many residents attended the meeting this morning. The usual girls were in fine singing form. I wanted to make a suggestion that they form a singing group. Raffle Prizes put on the tray. Saturday cakes were handed to Jenny. Raffle tickets bought and handed out. Sat with John, BJ, and Bill (Willaim on Sundays) and we had a good laugh and bash at doing the crosswords.

July 26 2018 - 01hTook the nibble box around and got some little chinwags in on the way.

I nipped out to take this photograph of Complex from near the bus stop.

The workers were like bees around a honey-pot.

As I returned to the shed and the social, I got the sensation that Little Inchies Lesion was now bleeding, I could feel it. So I bade my cheerios to all.

July 26 2018 - 01iStill found time to take this last shot, of the busy workers at the next gated compound along towards Woodthorpe Court.

Then I hot-footed it (Well, limped a bit faster) into the foyer and up to the apartment. Into the wet room.

WDPBL02a: Spent a long time sorting things out with the bleeding lesion.

Had a wee-wee and did the midday Health Checks and medication.

Then started to update this blog.

Then went on CorelDraw to try and get some more TFZer graphicalisationing done. Got two finished and posted to the TFZ site.

April16a

A new invention? Hehe!

April17

Took me ages to get done, I hope they like it.

Got the nosh on, chips in the oven, spread the bread to have with the Pork Pie that Jenny so kindly gave me.

4Thu21Got the meal served up.

And, very tasty it was!

Apart from the tomatoes which brought down the flavour rating to 7.5/10, a lovely-jubbly nosh!

I didn’t manage to eat it all but did most of it.

Did the Health Checks and got the TV on. Accompanied by the odd bang, crunch, and tap-tapping from Herbert upstairs, I watched two episodes of Police programmes.

I fell asleep and was having a wonderfully satisfying and believable dream of my living in a large house with a pet dog and having such fun and fussing with him or her, Alsatian it was, reminded me of ‘Ross’, a dog I handled when I was in security work, but not  as big, and it wasn’t him. My old cat Cyril was playing with us. Why I can recall this detail is unknown to me. But I was having an absolutely grand time… then I woke up. Talk about feeling disappointed!

I did notice some empty cheesy curl packets on the Ottoman. (Guilt Mode Adopted!)

As I tried to get into the land of Nod, Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun both had a go at me, a persistent one at that!

Hours of discomfort and concern followed. I’ve never had so much attacks for so long in one go before.

They must have eased off eventually, cause I did drop off.

Inchcock Today – Saturday 21st July 2018: Got a long hobble in today

ZZZ18j

Saturday 21st July 2018

Maori: Rāhoroi 21 o Hōngongoi 2018

0455hrs: Woke up, feeling sure I had just had a night filled with so many dreams and nightmares. One of them, or a bit of one, I found scribbled on my nocturnal-notepad.

6Sat05It took me a long time to decipher the handwriting. Then a bit of memory clicked-in. I was in a supermarket looking in the freezer section, and a large packet of roast potatoes started to sing to me. Hehe! ♫ All of me, why not bake all of me… ♫ Not the foggiest what it was all about.

6Sat02I got out of the £300 second-hand recliner, almost nimbly and without any pain whatsoever! Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna… in fact none of the usual ailment were bothering me. Apprehension and confusion at this ease of movement replaced the typical matutinal physical pains.

Even Belinda’s Blotched were not itching anything like they have been doing, and the marks were far less prominent.

Yes, another person with my name had woke up again!

5Fri17: I almost skipped (Well, hobbled more easily) to the Porcelain Throne. Where the evacuation was uncomfortable, gooey, messy and sticky! I must remember to get some more toilet rolls on Monday. Tsk!

My EQ told me something was going to go wrong, or happen to me soon, to take me out of this unexpected and rare, yet pleasing mood of contentment. I hate it when this happens, for it is seldom wrong.

Ang01Got a good cleaning up session done. Found some more of the ironclad biting beetles in the wet room.

All black ones this morning, none of those oddly tinged red ones like yesterday. The reddish ones tend to nip a little harder, but their shells are softer than the black ones. I wonder if they are black ones metamorphosing black ironclads or are they another species? They are longer and more significant, but there are not many of them compared to the black ironclad buggers with their shells so strong it is hard to crush them, and the darker ones are much quicker but have a far less painful bite.

Off to the kitchen, made a brew and took the medications. Then did the Health Checks. The results looked fine to me. Even the weight had stayed down, mind you, I had just passed what must have been a couple of pounds of waste product to the Porcelain Throne, hadn’t I?

6Sat04

6Sat03Returned to the computer room and noticed the Nottingham City Homes Monitoring thingy was still showing 31°c – 88°f. The temperature has been in the red zone since they provided this machine. When I mentioned this to someone the other day, I was told it is the same for everyone! So, why did they offer them in the first place, if they are going to ignore the readings anyway? Smoke & Mirrors?

I pondered a while on things to be done. Monday FootLady Sue 1000hrs, then collect prescriptions from Chemist. Wednesday afternoon Opticians (Remember to take the broken glasses with me), and the INR DVT blood test at the City Hospital. Thursday Morrison Delivery 0630hrs then Social Hour. A ficulnean idea, making plans so early.

On the computer and began to finalise the Friday post and sent it off. Had a bash on the WordPress Reader.

Made a start on this blog.

Went on Facebooking to add photographs and check on the TFZer site.

Oh, dear, it sounds as if Herbert above is getting his equipment ready for drilling, knocking, tapping, clattering and buzzing making his engines again. But of course, I am not complaining, just mentioning it. No point in my risking Nottingham City Homes upset for moaning about their favourite mollycoddled tenant making a noise. As the Management, told me; He is doing nothing wrong, just following his hobby of model making. “You’ll have to put up with it!” I don’t want to lose my home. Oh heck, I forgot there that I was told not to put any conversations I have with any Nottingham City Homes Management, employees, representative or agent on my blog. Sorry about that, I’ll cross it off.

I decided to catch a bus into Arnold, and walk all the way back, to get some decent exercise in.

So, I’ll stop here and get the ablutions done, so I don’t miss the bus out.

0840hrs: Back in a while.

1230hrs: I’m back now folks. Now for the tale of trip out.

6Sat06I took the bin bags to the chute and the empty jars to the recycling bin on the way to the bus stop.

Willmott-Dixon who are not working, Saturday you know. Had left some massive metal sheets of iron, over the gaps left from digging to put the cables and pipes in, to lead to the New Build Block, making sure none of us old dears could fall down the hole. Interestingly, they had left one if the yellow sections of barrier out of the line. So, if any of our residents come home pickled (And that is well possible, we have more than our share of alcoholics, Hehe!) and want to throw themselves down the hole, they can. Or one of the sight impaired tenants. How caring if them.

Limped on to the bus stop, where a mass of residents bodies were waiting for the bus and grew in number as I remained with them. Some laughs and chinwags were enjoyed, especially with Cyndy and Roy, a pair of characters indeed.

The route taken on the bus, and then on my tootsies hobbling home, here.

6Sat26

I dropped off the L9 at the Sainsbury Store and spent some money on Lucozade, potatoes, oven-bottom-muffins, onion salt, Hisin & five spice sauce, surimi fish sticks, shortbread and shorties biscuits and some apples. I cunningly decided not to get the spring water (heavy to carry) or ice-cream cones (would soon melt) and decided to buy them nearer to the flats. Because I was still determined to walk home and get some exercise in, cause I 6Sat10still feeling perky, the state as I woke up in.

Finished the shopping and paid the lady at the checkout.

I hope she gets her teeth or throat seen to soon, she didn’t seem able to speak or smile, Poor thing!.

Out and started my walk back home.

6Sat09What a shock I got when I got into Daybrook!

You may think that this picture is from somewhere else or doctored. But, no, it’s the genuine article.

I saw two Nottingham Policemen in an unmarked police car who had stopped a cyclist who was sat on the wall of the Vale pub. Their body language indicated they were not happy with him, whatever he’s done of had happened. I plodded on.

6Sat16I called in the small Tesco store and got some spring water and ice-cream cones. By gum, the bags were heavy now, and I was struggling a bit with them.

As I limped through the gates, this kindest young lady stopped me and asked me if I was going all the way up the hill, and could she carry one of the bags up the path for me. I felt humbled and cared for in a second. Thank you a 6Sat18amillion times for that grand gesture and offer, young Lady! I did have to decline, because I had weighted the two bags to be more or less even, and this was taking pressure off of Hippy Hilda. Who was showing signs of not being too pleased with me? Restored my faith in humankind this did. Worryingly, the EQ was still sure that something not pleasant, was and is always going to happen today. Already!

As I made my way up the tortuous to my feet tarmac footpath, watching the many dogs taking their owners for a walk and a game of ball, and enjoying it; An altercation suddenly blew up between four dogs! I think the animals were only playing with each other, but it took a couple of owners a while to separate some of the woof-woofs. Hehe!

At the top I turned right and into view came the Copse and the flats.

6Sat25a

6Sat23Worryingly, I spotted several bees that looked to be in distress, apathetic some of them had lost their colouring and were melting; if that is the right word for it. (I know its not the correct wording, but as I sit here typing this, I am feeling suddenly worse and concentration has gone kaput!)

I put the bags down outside the foyer, partly to give me a rest and to view the scenery. Dizzy Dennis overcame me for a minute or so, but I recovered well and went inside to the lift.

6Sat155Fri17: Then back out to collect the bags. Shmendrik!

Got up and into the flat, now with a vagueness that came from nowhere. Still, I got the fodder put away and decided on garden peas, potatoes, and chicken for the nosh. Got the potatoes in the saucepan (Thinking I’d put the peas in the slow-cooker before leaving earlier – I hadn’t, but didn’t realise it yet).

Got the computer on to update this post thus far.

Oh dear, Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Steven having a go at me now.

Did the Health Checks, and took the medications.

6Sat27I’ll get the meal served up early, and take a calm sit down… well that’s the plan. Hehe!

Chicken thigh, potatoes and two tomatoes filled oven-bottom-muffins with onion salt, and an apple. Enjoyed this one, gave it an 8.8/10 taste rating.

Shaking Shaun and Dizzy Dennis were not helping me to get to sleep. They both persisted to the point that I considered pressing my wrist alarm. But I’m glad I didn’t.

There were two films on that I fancied watching. As a rule, I would not consider viewing anything on this late. But the dizzies and unsteadiness would, I thought, might be more comfortable if I was concentrating on something else. So I attempted to watch the first film, Claude Vann Damme’s ‘The Order’ – farcical, constantly nodding off for a few minutes and waking again. Missed most of the film and the ending. Woke and decided, I should be able to get to kip, as the dizzies were few and far between now. But no, sleep did not come. I repeated the same pattern in watching Steven Seagal’s ‘Belly of the  Beast’. Missed even more of this film and the ending… and many bits in between. Grumph!

Inchcock Today – Saturday 14th July 2018: A great trip out despite Accifauxpa – Humph!

Saturday 14th July 2018

Croatian: Nedjelja, 15. Srpnja 2018

0340hrs: WDPBL02a I woke with stinging, stabbing pains around the right external auditory meatus (Ear Hole). A touch of the Collywobbles (I blame the horrible meal I made, and half-ate last night for this). But Belinda’s Blotches were itching less and not so inflamed.

6Sat02As the body slowly joined the brain in imitation semi-activity, I noticed signs of noctambulous noshing activity having taken place.

The waste bin laying at the side of the £300 second-hand recliner revealed this, in the form of a Cheesy Curl nibbling session. Naughty Me!

The rumbling and grumbling innards continued.

Out of the recliner with ease this morning, and off to do the health Checks and take the medications.

6Sat04

As I made up the log of readings, I spotted that the sys had been coming down regularly lately. 152 – 145 – 144 -146 – 144 – 145, this time 128. I think that is a good thing, though? Although the pulse had shot up a tad. Probably the shock to the system from putting that horrendous beef into the stomach last night. Haha!

6Sat03The temperature in the room was currently at 31°c – 87.8°c, which was a little lower and welcome.

I’d just put the kettle on the boil, and the grey-cells activated a panic-alarm for me – and I hastily stopped everything I was doing and shot off to the Porcelain throne with all haste available to me! En-route I was sure that the innards last few days reluctances to allow the evacuations was over and a messy, runny session was due. So, I was wrong, again!

WDPBL02a I got on the Porcelain Throne, and I anticipated immediate movement. But oh, no. Nothing but pain as the exciting material came half-way and got stuck. Boy, the agony! I thought things would start to split, so long did it take, all the painful forcing, I could feel the piles bleeding… A Frightful Session. Still, I read a few pages of the book, quite a few pages… Haha!

WDPBL02a After I’d cleaned and medicated things, my rear-end felt so sore. Tsk!

I went to the kitchen to take a Senna tablet and an extra Codeine. I was not sure if I should have been taking the Senna or not, but after going through that evacuation, I thought I better had.

So, Constipation Conrad had returned. Earache Eric and Colly-wobbles attack now, too! On the bright side, Bartholomew Bladder, Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna, Duodenal Duncan, Hernia Henry, Reflux Roger, Belinda Blotches, Shaking Shaun and Dizzy Dennis, were all being kind to me this morning. Haemorrhoid Harry and Little Inchies lesions were both bleeding and bothersome, mind. Overall, things could be worse. It’s been a long-standing fear that all of the ailments one day, will come on at the same time, as the metal ticker. Ooh! Haha!

6Sat06Writing the above paragraph, I realised I had not put the Wrist Health Panic Alarm back on, after cleaning myself up. Without hesitation, I fetched it from the wet room and adorned my wrist with it. Schlemiel!

The view from the new windows with the outer plastic covering, seemed to have lost a lot of the mud splatters, but gained a few insects?

If I don’t live long enough to see the results of the upgrading, I shall return and haunt Herbert, and certain other people. Don’t know why I said that, I don’t believe in ghosts or spirits. Hehe!

6Sat07I got side-tracked when I was about to take the Senna tablet, and started to get the meal prepped.

I put the small potatoes in the crock-pot with water, onions salt and some balsamic and distilled vinegar as seasoning. And shelled the garden peas into a saucepan and added some brown demerara sugar. Both now ready to be heated up later, and possibly to be eaten with some Frikadellens… maybe, conceivably, possibly, perhaps, maybe, percase.

Back to the computer and got on with updating yesterday’s post and got it sent off.

I had a look at what the weather forecast was for the coming week.

6Sat05

It looks like it will get a little cooler and a chance of some rain at the following weekend. Funny how one misses the rain when it is missing, and curse it when it pours down and one get soaked to the skin by buses driving through the water and showering you wet rainwater. Hehe!

0500hrs: Began to collate this page.

08.50hrs: Got this far, and then went on the WordPress Reader section.

Went onto the TFZers Facebook.

1140hrs: Got a phone call from Big John, I’d forgotten about the Papplewick Pumping Station visit! Argh! Had to shut everything down sharpishly to get the ablutions done in time for when the lads pick me up – Oh dearie me! Back in a bit.

1600hrs: I’m back. I’ll do catch-up from when I got the ablutions done.

6Sat08Got dressed and some nibbles and a small bottle of spring water in the bag, and set out in plenty of time to wait downstairs for BJ and Dave to arrive.

I ambled around the back of the flats and took this picture. It shows Woodthorpe Court in the front, the new build Extra Care block and then Winchester Courts in the distance. All three, 6Sat09when built, will be known as Winwood. Confusing innit? Hehe!

WDPBL02a .Then, after I slipped down the incline into the fencing and swearing a bit, Schlump! I went along the front on Chestnut Walk and took this photograph of the progress on the new build area.

I could see that both the doors were open in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Stabsgefreiteress Wardens Temporary HQ, WC, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisational Area, Telling Inchcock off Zone, Crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room hut. So I made my way to it. Jenny and a few others were in there. I was in the middle of having a good chinwag with Jenny, and my mobile rang. It was BJ, who told me to go back to the flats and wait there as he was with David now, and was picking up another David, a tenant as well. So I did.

BJ arrived shortly with Big Young David in the car and lifted Tenant Dave and me up.

We were soon parking up in the car park opposite the Papplewick Pumping station gates.

BJ had words with the volunteer car park assistant, about his not being able to park in the disabled badge holder space. He asked Dave, the other Dave, and me to get out before he had to reverse in.

WDPBL02 Big Young David accidentally caught my back as I was manoeuvring out of the door. This made me move quicker, and I stretched my legs more than I had planned, landing a little awkwardly, Hippy Hilda didn’t like this, and Little Inchies Lesion started bleeding at the same time, then as I caught my balance, Arthur Itis started the right knee off. I was not in a very good condition for a moment or two. But I was determined to enjoy the trip out and pressed on.

Honda Gullwing three-wheelerAs I waited, I spotted a Honda GullWing three-wheeler motorbike. As luck would have it, the owner, an entertainer at the Steaming Day, returned to the bike to collect something or other.

So I got a good picture of the bike with its ‘boot open’. A cleverly designed bike I thought.

I was still a tad disorientated and am not sure what occurred on the way in, but recall everything after limping down the step as I left the entrance house.

Favourite

A different person now, there was no stopping me going on an admittedly painful walk around the periphery of the site and look for photography opportunities.

The first one I took was after I had limped around the lake, and arrived near the mini-steam train tracks. I cut through some trees, to try and get a ‘moody shot’.

Papplewick

After a wander through the old orchard area, I went to look at the amusement area and selling stalls.

There were a couple of trad-jazz bands and lady singers I stopped here and there to listen to.

Plenty of people on old period clothing, and enjoying themselves I’m glad to report.

The selling stalls, I tried to make a panoramic shot. Not very successfully. Hehe!

Papplewick Pumping in steam

Alvis

I spotted the vintage Alvis Sportscar parked up.

It looked to be in very good knick and cared-for.

This is the first time I’ve looked at carefully at one of these vehicles in real life.

You might be able to see in the top close-up picture, how close to each other the handbrake and gear-level are.

The car’s layout reminded me of the arrangement of the same equipment on the original Mechanical Horse three-wheeler British Railway articulated lorries made by Scammell.

Many people were in vintage clothing and had taken great care with their appearance.

WDPBL02a At this time, I just had to get to the WC, for Little Inchies Fungal Lesion was bleeding again. Fortunately, I had a disinfected black bag, spare PP’s, Daktacort cream, midday medications and Codeines in my pocket ready yesterday. Great fortune at the new WC facilities laid on. No one around when I got there. So, I did the necessary medicationalisationing.

Dressed up folks

Feeling a little fatigued and down in the mouth, I searched for somewhere to get a sit-down.

As I made my way to a spot under some trees that I could usually find a bench free, I was further amazed at appearance some folks who had indeed worked at looking the part in their period attire and accoutrements, hats sticks for the men, and boob displays of the some of the

6Sat17

Buxom ladies. I got the bottle of mineral water and took a codeine tablet. Hehehe!

BJ found me and asked how I was. I must have looked a bit rough; I was a touch pale I thought when I caught my reflection in the toilet mirror earlier.

WDPBL02a Hippy Hilda was not easing off at all, but Arthur Itis had, bless him. But all

Lady

The hobbling around had made the plates-of-meat sting something awful! I am fated to suffer today.

Near the Steam House, this lady looked perfect in her clothing set-up. Shame, about the mobile phone. Haha!

No seats at the top end, so I hobbled across to the lake in search of somewhere to rest my bottom. I didn’t find any free sitting places, but I was glad I did search there now because a chap was just launching an electrically controlled floating Dalek!

It even shot out a strong jet of water when he wanted it to! I did laugh at this home-made novelty! Haha!

Lake

The only seats I could find were benches made of aged and incredibly unforgiving hard, sturdy wood. But at that moment, Hippy Hilda and the feet were the biggest of my pain-giving areas. Tsk!

I settled gently down and got the crossword book out. I’d been there for what seemed like ages, when BJ walked by, then returned, telling me I looked “Bloody awful mate!” We chatted a couple of minutes, and I decided to stand up and get to the top of the grass verge hill, to have a look for a more comfortable seat to change to.

WDPBL02a Well, although in pain from Hilda and the plates-of-meat, with Haemorrhoid Harold now complaining about my stay on the hardwood bench, BJ and I both had to laugh as neither of us could get back up the grass verge. Hehe! We had to walk around to find a little leveller bit to clamber up. He got up before me and had gone over to the shaded area and asked a lady sat there if it was alright if I joined her on the bench at the other end before I caught up with him. Bless BJ: he was looking after me! He said he knew from my appearance how bad I must have been.

I felt such a lot better within around ten minutes.

WDPBL02a I took the evening medications… well, almost. I was using the last of the spring water to have them with, and the final tablet slipped out of my hand onto the floor,

Alvis2

as the almost empty PET bottle collapsed as I drank from it. The lady kindly retrieved the Vimstatin tablet for me. I thanked her politely, and this started us off having a little natter. We spoke of the old days, the price of bread nowadays and she told me her Mothers sayings in her younger years. My health and outlook brightened considerably.

BJ arrived later after the lady had gone off with her family who came to collect her too, hehe!

Our party of four made our way out of the gates and out over to BJ’s car. Where I fell asleep without any problem or intent to. Klutz!

BJ soon had Resident Dave and me back at the flats. I thanked him, bade my farewells to BJ and Young David, and Resident David and I, made our way up in the lift. The resident Dave, who I had met before (I think?) was a man who spoke proper English and had no sense of humour but was not dull, and I got on well with him. He lives on the first floor.

Oh, Boy, was I glad to get indoors! Well past my head-down time already. I stripped down to the PP’s, disposed of the ones I’d changed at Papplewick in another disinfectant bag. Rubbed some cream on the feet – not a lot though, cause I could not get down to do it properly with Hippy Hilda still playing up on me. Had a wash and a wee-wee. Got the potatoes and peas cooking. Took an extra Trental tablet, already having imbibed the evening ones while out. See, I can remember stuff sometimes. Hahaha!

Then I got the computer on and made up a post with the photographs I’d taken at Papplewick.

I had a most enjoyable four hours out, despite the ailment playing up. And I appreciated BJ making it possible. The pains would have been around if I had not gone out, so I made the right decision in going I think.

Then, somehow, I stayed awake to update this blog to here and then sorted the meal out, too tired to do anything other.

What an absolute Eizel!

WDPBL02a I’d not put the heat on under the potatoes!

So, threw them away and got some chips in the oven to replace them.

Set the new timer and went on Facebook to catch up.

The alarm ringeth.

WDPBL02a Went to take the chips out and add them to the plate that has been laid out with the other ingredients for an hour now, getting all dry!

Argh! I’d not switched the oven on! – A nahr bleibt a nahr!

Turned the oven on, set the timer again and updated this blog a bit more.

If I muck about any more, it’ll be time to get up, never mind get my head down! Will I ever get anything right? – Klotz kasheh, Sorry!

All the excitement of the trip out, Hippy Hilda, Haemorrhoid Harold and the Funny Turn might be to blame… but most likely my inability to survive in life is at fault. Tsk!

6Sat25Got the nosh done at last!

T’was a right disappointment of a meal, again. I suppose having it so late in the night for me, and feeling so drained didn’t help the tast rating of 4.2/10 that I gave it.

The only things on the plate enjoyable, was the garden peas.

I did the Health Checks and got the washing up done.

Settled in the £300 second-hand recliner and put the TV on while I ate an iced sucker.

Can’t recall anything after this, but I must have nodded-off, cause I woke up in the morning. Hehe!

TTFN.
