Hebrew: 2019 יום שישי 7 ביוני

After making such a mental-mess and getting all confused with things last night, I eventually got some sleep in, a good six hours of peaceful and dreamless peace! Ahh!

WD 0.0.128a 05:20hrs. I woke with the most considerable reluctance and taciturnity, then I had to struggle through a short period of uncommunicativeness between my thoughts and brain, that was out of my control. I listened to the confusion reining about, without the slightest idea or decipherment of what was milling about for a few minutes. Then again, somehow, and for some reason, this did not bother me in the least. It was not distressing, disturbing, or even frustrating to me? The fact that this unique event had happened did concern me a little later on in the day, however.

6Sat14The usual need for a wee-wee came later than usual. But it was enough to convince me to get my well-torsoed body out of the £300 second-hand, gungy-beige, rickety, on its last legs, c1968 recliner, and off to the wet room. There were no toe-stubbing or dropping the walking stick on the toe this time. It was another of the SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-wee) variety.

I hand-washed the socks and left them soaking in the sink in liquid soapflakes.

6Sat13Off to the kitchen, where I noticed the weather was raining and misty.

Luckily for me, I remembered last nights Accifauxpa, when I took the morning medications instead of the evening ones, when I suffered the mental-whoopsiedangleplop and mix-up over time and what day it was. At least I knew where I was. Tsk!

6Sat15I got the kettle on and fetched the socked and rinsed them, and added them to the nowhere near dry oven mitts on the flat clothes airer.

I challenged me aboulia over what, if, which of the morning tablets I needed to take. After much faffling, pondering, and a surprising bit of ratiocination, I decided just to take one of the Warfarin of what should have been last night doses. How I arrived at this decision, I’ve not 6Sat10the foggiest idea, but it sounded right to me at the time.

I made a brew of Assam tea and went to the multi-tasked front room. (Office, Computer room, balcony room, bedroom, Sock-Glide Torture room, and Stroke Physio Exercise room) and took another shot of the weather outside.

Which was still raining, but less misty now.

I got the computer going to update, finalise, and send off the Friday post. And a call to the Porcelain Throne arrived. So, off to the wet room again. The evacuation was the usual struggle to get started, followed by the now familiar ‘Plonk’ or thud and a splash with water spraying up onto the bottom.

WD 0.0.128a 6Sat16When I stood up, what gobsmacking colour things were. The same colour that the Humber Desert lorries were painted during the second world war, a  sort of light beige. I ought to mention this to the doctor if it comes out the same colour again. Which reminds me, I still haven’t heard anything about the Doctor referring me for a paediatrician? I checked out the legs. Whatever it was that was coming on the right 6Sat17leg shin, yesterday, had now gone? The fluid retention was coming back.

Although even now still tender, the stubbed toe when I fell over in the kitchen looked much improved, however. I got the finger and hand shakes just as I was taking this picture of the feet. Tsk!

Back to the utility room, and pressed on with doing the updating of the diary. The fingers were still getting the electric-like shakes, and this persisted for an hour or more. It’s never lasted this long before. But, they did tell me at the ulcer clinic, that there was nothing they could do about the Axonotmesis, and it will only get worse. So, I have been warned. The stroke might have brought it on more quickly? Most annoying and time-consuming all the correcting time needed!  Ah, well!

I got the oven on low, ready for preparing Josie’s weekend meal later on. Then made a start on this blog. The fingers were back to normal, with only a few-second shaking bout every now and then. After a few hours, I decided to get the ablutions tended to, so put the computer off as, since the last Windows Update, it will not go into Sleep-Mode again! Humph!

I made up the rubbish bags and called to see Josie and tell her when they would be ready, about 13:00hrs. She thought I looked a bit peaky and took the bags to the waste chute for me. I thanked her and we had a little chinwag, then back to the flat to get Josie’s nosh prepared.

WD 0.0.128a Not very successful with the cheesy spuds, I’m afraid. I dropped one, and the husk broke. I saved the flesh, but the skin on the floor had to be dished. So, then I found they had not been cooked through properly. Any amount of bashing would not get rid of the lumps. So, I scooped the skinless potatoes into an oven dish and baked them for ages, but it was not very good. In fact, I think my worst effort ever! This got me feeling a little down again. The meal looked okay in the end, but the lumpy potatoes to the edge off of it for me. The smoked herring in tomato and veg sauce, garden peas and mushrooms were fine. I delivered it to her door and explained about the cheesy potatoes.

6Sat29An hour or so later, I got my nosh cooking.

A feeling of exhaustion arrived.

Josie rang the door chimes and returned the dish and tray. She said the potatoes were fine, but I think she might have been being kind to me. Hehe! I handed her a pack of the lemon wafers for afters, she likes them as much as I do.

I got the nosh ate up, but the sudden drop in health meant I didn’t really enjoy it. By the time I’d eaten it, washed up, and took the medications, all I was capable of was sitting there watching TV, with the occasional short involuntary kip now and then. After one of these nod-offs, I decided to watch the DVD film, Equaliser 2 again and tried not to nod-off this time.

Of course, I nodded off.

I woke around eleven o’clock PM and got up. Still feeling a little groggy for some reason? Always the weekend, when there is no staff on site to help, innit! Hehe! Never mind, if things get bad I can use the Alarm Alert Wristlet button.

Inchcock Today – Friday 7th June 2019: I got myself in a pickle with the dates, then realised I hadn’t, but I had! I hope I’m back on track now. Might have to give up; the after-effects of the stroke are more afflicting than I thought. Humph!

Malagasy: Zoma 7 Jiona 2019

WD 84.0.84 03:30hrs. Although sleep was in short supply last night, plenty of nightmarish dreams were supplied to torture my poor old blood-short brain. I can only recall bits of any detail, being chased in crumbling abandoned buildings again, falling from a plane, a self-operation to replace a certain undersized appendage, being kept in school… not the most cheerful of things to let one’s thoughts wander over, pretty glad to wake up, actually. Within a few seconds, the mechanics of the body informed me I needed a wee-wee (Fancy that, me, wanting a wee. Hehehe!).

WD 84.0.84 I removed my body from the £300, second-hand, rickety, grotty-beige coloured, c1968 recliner, gained my balance and took the three paced without the stick, to the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket), and had an SSWW (Short-Sprinkly-Wee-wee), adding to the few pints already in the bucket. As I turned to gather the accoutrements spread around, to take to the kitchen for washing, I came close to an Accifauxpa as the 5Fri002ankle gave way. I’m still not sure how I managed to avoid going over, but was nervous enough about it, to decide to put on the Ankle Support Strapping, as the toe was looking far less virulent and not so painful.  Which meant tackling the infamously dangerous Sock-Glide!

5Fri001I then made a check of the pins and the toe first. A new, erm, unknown blotch had appeared of the top of the left leg. The blood papsules had started to come back again on both of the lower limbs. I removed the socks and got them in soak with the shirt, in the bowl in the sink.

5Fri003aWD 84.0.84 The poorly right foot stubbed toe; although still a bit tender, seemed to be making great healing progress. And some pretty patterns, too. Haha!

The next job was to tackle the nervous making Sock-Glide. Praying that there will be no shaking or dancing from the Axonotmesis, and the Peripheral neuropathy affected right leg, 5Fri005while I was using the glide. Luckily, none came this time.

Placed the frame on a level surface first. Then I got the sock on the frame, without any finger trapping. This was a rare event. Usually, I end up with at least one blood blister or a bit of flesh being scraped off a finger. Hehe! Things were going well! But of course, with my record of 5Fri006Accifauxpas, I was not letting my guard down and remained vigilant to the dangers that lurked from the mega-difficult to use locking device.

I got the right foot first into the sock on the frame, as this was the more painful, obviously. I’m not saying there was not a few silent ‘Oohs’, and ‘Arghs’; but I managed to sock the foot. The left one was far easier to do.

I noticed how bad the fresh papsules were looking as I looked at these shots of the mastering of the Ankle Support Strapping, that I had fitted so easily. Fib-Mode-Engaged!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The right-hand fingers started to do their electricalish-jumping, so the pictures are not too good this time.

I must admit, with the Ankle-Support fitted, I do feel a lot more confident, especially when the right-leg does one of its Hokey-Cokey routines, or collapse to the right-hand side.

5Fri08The wee-weeing suddenly became very frequent, they were all still of the SSWW, though.

Off to the wet room, and the Porcelain Throne. By gum, what a thud when the evacuation came. I felt a few pounds lighter and somewhat sore afterwards. Hehe!

5Fri08aI checked the hand washing drying.

Made a brew, did the health checks and took the medications. Sys 144, Dia 88, Pulse 59 and Temperature 35.8°c.

WD 84.0.84 I tackled the task of updating the Wednesday blog, and what a job it was today! The dang annoying and frustrating electrifying-fingers, thanks to the Axonotmesis, and the Peripheral neuropathy were at their worst for me this morning. Without doubt, it took me longer than it ever has before, and my will-power, patience, and mental-stamina were tested to the full extent! I definitely spent more time correcting that the original writing! I feel proper, Ferblunjit!

The SSWW type wee-weeings were often coming. Somehow, I think this, with the ever-needing-correcting-typing, is tiring me; if that is possible? My spirits are lower now than when I woke? Ah, feeling-sorry-for-myself Mode, perhaps. Not having that. So I got on with creating this blog. Many hours, corrections and wee-wees later, I went on CorelDraw to make up some ‘Thoughts’ and page-top headers in advance.

Then, I went on TFZer Facebook for a catch-up and photo posting session.

WDPAa I went to get the potato and cheese ready, and getting something out of the cupboard, I pulled out the vinegar, a box of tomato puree and a tin of tomatoes out of the closet – knocked off the basin of potato and cheese, banged my right hand (decent bruise coming up), then lost my rag and sore at myself! It seems every time I get partly contended I forget about the hand and leg shakes. I am now fed up with myself, and have to clean-up and save what I can to make the meal.

Back to depression, and angry with it! That’s not me, usually.

5Fri25Excessive weariness dawned on me. Computer off, and I got some food really early today.

Beans and vegetarian sausage, a beef pasty and instant mash cheesy potatoes.

Sat down to think through how I had let myself get so worked-up and why…

I fell asleep.

WD 84.0.84: When I woke up, I looked at my second-hand £2 wristwatch with its new £10 strap, and really believed it was 06:00hrs in the morning. “Christ! I thought; I’ve had a mega-long sleep! I suppose I must have needed it, great balls of fire… I slept for over fifteen hours!

WD 84.0.84 Continued: I felt great as I got my scarily-flabby again body freed from the £300 second-hand, rickety r6Sat05ecliner, without as much as a twinge from Arthur Itis or Anne Gyna! Off for a wee-wee, of the SSWW variety.

WD 84.0.84 Continued: I got the kettle on, did what I thought were the morning health checks. Sys 137, Sia 70, Pulse 91, The temperature was 40.2°c. I could still taste the cheesy potatoes as I belched doing it. Not like the flavour to stay so long with me. (My Cock-Up, again didn’t dawn on me yet!)

WD 84.0.84 Continued: I thought about Josie’s cheesy nosh and wondered if she wanted it on Saturday for Sunday this week. So I dropped a note in her door asking her to let me know. Bear in mind, as this time, I truly believed it to be Saturday morning. Klutz!

WD 84.0.84WDPAa 6Sat06Continued: I then foolishly took the morning medications! Not the evening ones!

Still, I was blindly and oblivious to what time, day, month or almost anything that was going on, but sillily in a content sort of mood, still thinking I had had a record-breaking length of time asleep, and happy to feel that way! Twit!

WD 84.0.84 Continued: I saw it was raining with a little mist, so I went on the balcony and took these photographs of what was meant to be the morning dew. Humph!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

IMG_0171WD 84.0.84 Continued: I got the hand washing already done on the drier, only the kitchen towel and a cleaning cloth.

I still failed to pick up on anything wrong. Fool!

WD 84.0.84 Continued: I went for another SSWW, although perhaps a little weaker this time. And checked-out the pins at the same time.

WD 84.0.846Sat07 Continued: They looked excessively pale again.

Much less water retention, but too many of the new, I assumed were Axonotmesis caused blotches and growths were back again.

WD 84.0.84 Embarrassingly Discovered: The door chimed-out its Dusty Springfield’s “I only want to be with you!” tune. It was Josie, and what a mess I made of the conversation, as it slowly dawned on me, that it was still Friday, and not Saturday morning yet! When Josie said, “I have just got back from visiting family…” I thought that’s odd, getting home at 07:00hrs in a morning? How disconcerted and abashed I felt as it dawned on me… well it didn’t, Josie had to tell me that it was Friday now! I cringed inwardly, as I got it wrong twice before it sank in! Tsk! Still, I know now that Josie wants her meal tomorrow at 13:00hrs. I thanked her, questioned my sanity, and red-faced. And withdrew into the flat…

I was right ferblunjit now. Confused as it is possible to be. The brain needed convincing of the truth. Mainly, that I was losing it, I had had, only three-hours kip, as opposed to the believed fifteen, it really was still Friday night, and hope for a reasonable recovery was now at a low ebb!

The mix-up got even worse when I opened WordPress on the computer. It took me ages to accept that I had not made an error on the dates of posts, but kept going back to thinking today was Saturday and altering posts, then changing them again, until I had no idea what the hell I was doing. I just hope that things are something like right now.

Supreme Frustration Mode adopted, along with some self-hatred and loathing mused over.

The mind was all at six’s, and seven’s now!

I updated this post. Then went on Facebooking. Then the WordPress Reader.

But, I needed banality, a breather, and most iportantly, not to start the mind working, fretting and wandering… So I made a brew and put the TV on.

Inchcock Today – Thurs 6 June 2019: Frustrating day, ending off badly mind-wise. Oy Vey!

2019 June 6

Thursday 6th June 2019

Croatian: Četvrtak, 6 Lipnja 2019

04:40hrs. After what must have been six hours kip, I woke, late, but gently this time – with a clear memory of having had a short dream about one of my fears – water, and swimming (That’s two innit? Hehe!).

WD153.51.0 I wrote down some notes, but there was not much to remember, apart from the changing emotions. It was night time, and people were encouraging me to swim over the river Trent with them. I had heavy clothing on, but none of it mattered at the time, because I really did believe that I had lost my phobia and learnt to swim? I joined a queue of people, waiting for my turn to get into the water… With seconds all the same people, were on a beach, nighttime again, with intentions to swim the channel! This, I was not prepared for, and started to panic and find ways of not going… I recall sitting on the stone wall with my feet dangling in the water… I’m pretty sure this was the time I woke up, needing a wee-wee.

WD153.51.0 The extraction of my gothopotamus frame and body from the £300, second-hand, c1968, gungy-beige, rickety recliner, was a little more unpleasant than of the last two mornings. Also caused the uttering of a few words that were encouraged by the pain of my stumping the already painful toe against the legs of the computer chair; descriptive words, like ‘Oh, blow it! ‘Fancy that!’ and ‘Oh dear! (Loosely). Hehehe! The wee-wee was of the LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee) mode. I’ve not had one of these for a while. The EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket) was well-filled, yet I cannot recall using it during the night?

3Wed28I sat and took a photo of the pins. Not so blotchy today, but a well-fluid-filled pair of limbs, I’ve got.

Physio Charlene is due in today around 08:30hrs, as is the Morrison delivery. I was not keen on doing the exercises, but they need to be done. And, I hope I’ve got this week’s Morrison order, right.

On an impulse, no reason really, unless maybe the sky appealed, I took some photographicalistions, from inside the unwanted, light and view-blocking, impossible to clean, knuckle tearing openings on the windows, balcony.

4Thu06

I took the morning medications and did the health checks. Sys 88, Dia 65, Pulse 60 and temperature 35.3°c.

I made a brew and no hand washing to be done, I did it last night, then got on with finishing the Wednesday blog. The effort and irritation varied, as did the electrified finger jumping. Eventually, I got it done. Then, I stopped to get the ablutions tended to.

WD153.51.0 During which, I stubbed the poorly toe, again, against the WC riser-leg! More unpleasant and curse words were muttered! The stubbed-toe pains became quatridual today. And not a lot easier yet. But nevermind, pain is something I am good at coping with, being accustomed to it. Although this one, tried me further than some of the more serious stuff, has.

4Thu07As I was leaving the wet room, the intercom rang out, the Morrison chap was early, but this was nae bother.

He took the bags through to the kitchen for me and reminded me about the carriers to return, too. I set about the task of getting the rather larger than usual delivery of food stored away. Ending up with a chocker-block filled fridge and freezer, again.

4Thu08

The baked beans & vegetarian sausage, are on offer at 40p, down from 75p. I tried one last week, and they were a lovely flavour, so I got some more in. Which helped pay for the 25% Hot Balsamic Vinegar (Hot, as to be used in cooking). Now, they’ve gone up to £3 a small bottle.

4Thu08aWD153.51.0 Unloading, I did realise I had made a faux-pas, yet again this week. I was under the impression I had ordered a single ready-cooked meal, a beef hotpot, of 300gr – But no, that life would be too simple and things go right? I ended up with a £5, mind you, it was reduced on offer, Minced Beef hotpot, of 600gms! Humph! Clot!

My hand on the box and the milk loaf shows how large it was. It wouldn’t even fit in the fridge or freezer! I did feel a fool!

Minutes later, after getting everything sorted, Nurse Charlene arrived to do some physio aerobaticalisationing with me. But after a few of the movement, she realised how painful it was for me with the toe and Arthur Itis playing the knees up too, she put a stop to the exercises. We had a good natter, though. She told me if I could manage it, to get a steady walkout done today. I thanked her, and off she went.

So, a bit of a rush about, but I got things ready and took two bags to the chute on the way out, and two jars for the recycle bin. I also took the gigantic beef hotpot down with me. Then down to catch the bus. I handed the food in at the  Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, shed. For the catwalk models and wardens, to share for a meal, as a bit of a treat for them. At least my cock-up came in for a bit of good.

4Thu09At the bus stop, Mary and Pete shared a chinwag with me. Caught the bus into Arnold, and had I had a bit of a shoppers delight visit.

Firstly into the Wilko store. With the daily hand-washing, I needed some more of the Y-Lang scented Fabric softener and the washing granules. Some liquid soapflakes, as well. Then out into fresh air and walked along to Front Street and the cheapo shop, Savers. They had some economically priced lemon fresh-air spray cans at 99p, so I got a couple, a 1ltre bleach at 99p, and a Neutrodol spray, at 99p. But of course, I wasn’t really thinking, was I?

WD153.51.0 When I paid for the stuff, the chap who served me had the job of fitting it all in extra little back-bag I’d taken, as the trolleys farting small bag was full of stuff from Wilko that I’d had bought earlier on. Huh! Fool! Eizel!

To make things worse, what a mug that I am, I came out and walked into the Asda store, to get some potatoes for the cheesy-spuds at the weekend, for Josie. Me? Gone into sop and buy one thing? Sadly; No Chance! I came out with, a bag of 6 packs of cheesy curls, the potatoes as needed, tomatoes, curried beans and a DVD! But a great one!

4Thu10 I paid at the self-serve tills.

WD153.51.0 And what a pickle I got into! I had to take everything out of the shoulder pack, most things from the trolley bag, and repack everything to make room for the Asda stuff!

The chap behind, despite his tut-tutting, and gruff-heavy-breathing, resisted saying anything 4Thu11to me, bless him! A big chap too. Ahem!

I was walking up the hill into the car park on the way to the bus stop, and a chap shot by me and said; “It gets steeper every time you walk up it, dunnit!” And shot off. Obviously, I must have been struggling more than usual, then? Hahaha! A lady passed me by, and said, “Never mind midduck, it’ll all soon be over! Gave me a lovely smile, winked, and walked on? Mmm!

4Thu12At the top of the pathway, I had to take a shot of this lovely wildflower. It looked so fresh and beautiful to me.

There was a spider,  which I spent ages and many failed tries to picture, but I was so small an I was unable to get a clear shot of it. I was a tad disappointed with myself at this failure!

4Thu13Through the car park to the bus stop shelter. There were not many free parking spaces available this Friday.

I noticed that many folks were making the best of the sunshine and were scantily dressed. And there was little tubby old me, with more clothes on, than even I  needed. The sweat poured out of my pores as I made my way over the park to the roadway.4Thu13aa

I took a photo of the Asda petrol station across the road from the bus stop. I had a ten-minute wait for the bus, and only three cars called for petrol?

Still, they can’t do a runner without paying at this station. It’s card only payments. Hehe!

I caught the bus, and in Sherwood, several residents got on. Which was great, cause it enabled me to have a natter with them on the way up the hill to the flats. About nine of us got off the bus, and the other eight scattered with alacrity and speed? WC requirements, most likely?

The pins, toe and right knee were all giving me some bother on the hobble along Chestnut Way to the block of flats.

4Thu16But, once in the foyer, May and Gaynor who were sat there, let me have a gossip and laugh with them. Which was super!

They both let me take their photographs too!

Gaynor was looking rather attractive today, mind you, she usually does to me.

4Thu14What a pose May gave me for her photo!

The bestest natter and fun since I got back to the flat after toe Stroke!

I got upstairs and had another wee-wee, of the SWWW (Short-weak-wee-wee) variety.

WD153.51.0 Then, a cuppa and got on with updating this post. It took many hours I’m afraid. The fingers kept jumping, and even the leg had a few goes at involuntarily doing the Hokey Cockey! But luckily, up to now, it has been each time I was sat down, so, no Accifauxpas! Phew!

4Thu27I got the dinner going and took the evening medications.

The meal: Beef pasty, chips, salad (tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, yellow peppers), chips, milk bread and an apple. A limoncello dessert to follow.

I gobbled it all up and enjoyed it. A flavour rating of 6/10 granted to it.

4Thu17WD153.51.0 I got the new DVD on to watch… kept falling asleep and rewinding, got fed up with doing it, and turned it off. I put the TV on, fell asleep and kept waking up and missing things.

Gave-up again, and decided to get my head down.

WD153.51.0 Woke up in need of a UWTWW Unwilling-Weak-Trickle-Wee-Wee.

WD153.51.0 Head down again, and the landline light flashed. By the time I had struggled out of the recliner, it had stopped.

Head back down again.

The brain started to fill with the dreaded, past depravedednesses committed, wrong decisions, mistakes etc. and sleep did not return for hours. I stewed in self-made misery!

When sleep came properly, it was filled with unpleasant dreams.

I ought to publish this bit, titled; “The madman’s route to madness!” Hehehe! I blame the stroke!

TTFNski.

Inchcock Today – Wed 5 June 2019: The day slowly got my poor mind, into the depth of confusion. Nowt new there, then! Tsk!

Wednesday 5th June 2019

Welsh: Dydd: Mercher 5ed Mehefin 2019

23:20hrs: I sprang awake, in grave need of a wee-wee. No time to faffle-about or for my aboulomania! I freed myself from the £300 second-hand, c1968, gungy-beige, tatty, beloved, rickey rusty recliner and gained my balance; taking care not to do any more toe stubbing! As I made my way to the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket),  the pain from the previously nastily-stubbed toe seemed a lot less, But then, I had not been wearing the Ankle Support, or shoes for over a day?

WD 0.0.0a By the time I’d covered the few feet to get to the bucket and relieve myself of the SNSWW (Short-No-Sensation-Wee-Wee), I had changed my mind about the stubbed-toe-pain. It is 3Wed01astill stinging, now I had been standing and walking on the plates again! Tsk!

I examined the damaged digit, and took a photo of it, using the new Canon camera.

Even the left hand was a bit shaky this morning. Humph! The toe seemed to be getting less swollen, fingers crossed.

3Wed001The pins (legs) appeared to have lost some water retention. They looked considerably less warped and misshaped, too. Also, I think a little less anaemic looking (Or maybe that was the lighting in the front room?).

WD 0.0.0a Some new lumps and papsules were coming through. I couldn’t see any new growths, spots or blotches, though. Good!

On to CorelDraw, to do the political fun and Thoughts graphics for the next two days.

WD 0.0.0a I then got the kettle on for a brew of the Glengettie tea and did the health checks. Sys 166, Dia 88, Pulse (still low I think?) 54, and the temperature was at 35.5°c.

3Wed03Next, I made a brew, then started on updating the Tuesday blog for publication. This was done with reasonable alacrity, thanks to the ring and fingers end temporarily losing their electric-like jumping and dancing every time they come into contact with anything hard, like the keyboard buttons. Nice to do some work without the frustration of this, peripheral neurology ailment. Or, as the medical centre called it, ‘One of your too-many medical issues, you have’ when they refused to tend to my feet and nails, on Monday. That reminds me, if I have not done the calendar wrong again, and Caroline comes today, I must remember to inform her that the doctor told the Age UK lady when she rang the surgery, in an effort to get help for me; She (The Doctor) would either phone me or call on me this afternoon. Surprised me that did, she’s never been to the old house of new flat before? And, of course, there has been no contact made.

The wee-wees were steady enough this morning, only four in three hours.

Around 02:30hrs, I took the medications, forgetting how early it was. Schmuck! Grumph! Twit!

I got the t-shirt washed, wrung and hung to dry while I was doing other things.

3Wed04Then, I went on Facebook to add some photos I’ve not had time to do and catch up on my beloved TFZer Facebooking.

Made another brew, and got ready for the ablutions at 07:00hrs(ish).

Took a shot of the odd-looking windy morning, from the unwanted, light & view-blocking new kitchen windows. And off to the wet room for a wee-wee.

I got on with yesterday’s post’s Pinterest photo adding.

Then, I decided; yes, it has been known for me to make decisions in the past. Usually wrong the ones, mind. But still. Along with my lethologica, this with my famous aboulomania (pathological indecisiveness), is a relatively new hindrance, that has joined the labyrinth of ailments recently. But decide (rightly or wrongly) I did, to get the t-shirt I’d washed earlier wash on the flat-airer, and get the other, brown bath towel washed. Then left it to start drying, and got the ablutions done.

WD 0.0.0a Not one of the best shower sessions, due to the toe being caught a few times. However, the electric-finger-ends seemed less bothersome. And the toe, having put on some socks, was stinging somewhat, wait until I try to put the shoes on! Oy Vey!

WD 0.0.0a The INR Blood nurse called a different one this time. So, I assumed that I made an error (Don’t laugh! Haha!) in putting Caroline down for a visit. Tsk!

I got the shoes on, (Argh! The toe!) dressed, the three-wheeler trolley, and shot out to catch the bus into Arnold.

WD 0.0.0a Getting ready to go my way, I could not find the new camera. Stroke Support worker and cat-walk model, Caroline arrived. So, I had made a cock-up on the calendar. A bit rushed this morning, and she had to move fast. She decided there was nothing she could do for me and cancelled the next visit. The Thursday next visit, which I felt sadly, might be the last one, with Sonia 3Wed05a1(or Sophie) might go ahead, if it does, we will try out the four-wheeled trolley on a bus trip.

No big smile from Caroline when I asked to take her photograph with the three-wheeled trolley, today, on our way to her car.

They are busy gals, doing a marvellous job though. I was fixated with finding the camera, much to Caroline’s annoyance, quite rightly too. I decided as I walked her to her car, to go up to Aldi and get some sourdough bread. But by the time we had reached her vehicle, the right toe was stinging too bad for a walk that far. I said my farewells to Caroline, and returned morosely, slowly, and limpingly to flat.

3Wed05a1aI thought on the walk back; I knew it was inevitable, the ending of the visits, but sadness still overcame me.

In the flats to the foyer, no residents about at all, but there were some unhappy looking floor fitter chappies, working on the cut-through to the new Extra-care units, Windwood Heights, and the new offices for the Nottingham City Homes, catwalk models and Generaloberstesses Wardens.

I felt a tad lost, confused, sad and verklempt for some reason or reasons when I got in the apartment.

3Wed27I worked on some CorelDraw graphic making for a while. But the mind was stewing again, fretting over my actions, choices etc. I soon gave up through lack of concentration and made an early meal.

WD 0.0.0a I think it was a case of comfort eating, but I gulped it all down, and then I ate a bag of Marmite crisps and a few sweeties. Yet I enjoyed it?

Why I felt so down, suddenly was a mystery. Depression, I suppose, but why?

I got washed and down in the £300 second-hand recliner to watch a ‘Frost’ episode on the TV. I fell asleep, which was a surprise to me.

WD 0.0.0a I was woken by the mobile ringing and shaking, which without any hearing aids, also surprised me a bit that I heard it? But by the time I had stirred and grabbed at the mobile, dropped it, retrieved it, and failing twice to get the thing answered as it would work for me, it was too late and whoever it was (number withheld), had rang off, or more likely this stupid phone had sent them through to the message thingy.

Mega-fed-up now. It might have been the doctor about the feet or legs? I feel that my mind insisted of it own accord, that I fall asleep again. Mercifully, removing some worrying anguish and self-pitying thoughts that were gathering in my bonce at the time.

I remember reading about Mental Dysmorphic Disorder a long time ago. I might look it up tomorrow, or not.

Sorry, I suddenly feel so low, can ‘t help it this time.

Cheers.

Inchcock Today – Tue 4 June 2019: The stubbed toe seemed to hold my interest mostly today. Stroke After-Care Sharon visited.

Maori: Rātū 4 o Hune 2019

03:50hrs. I rose grudgingly, from the depths of a glorious, dream free, wee-wee uninterrupted, five-and-a-half hour kip! The usual wee-wee being required.

WD 102.0.74 Being in a rush to get to the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket), and the resting having eased off the pain from the blackened stubbed toe, I was soon off out of the £300, c1968, second-hand, grotty-beige coloured rickety recliner… and fell back into the same within seconds! The shock of the agonising pain when I stood up made me fall back into the ageing recliner again. It took a few minutes for me to get over the shock. And the familiar aching and hurting began all over again. I did manage to get the slippers on, but that was because I was in need desperately now, for the emergency grey bucket!

The wee-wee was of the SNSWW (Short-No-Sensation-Wee-wee) style. I soon kicked off the slippers, which were too painful to wear, and the toe almost began to glow in the darkness. Hehehe!

2Tue06

The colouring was bright in the lamplight hand, purple/red, blue and sometimes it looked black? But I am colour blind.

2Tue02I decided to get the daily hand-washing done. Only one shirt, flannels and one pair of socks to do this morning. I eagerly got them washed and rinsed, rung-out as best as I could manage, and hung up the shirt, and put the socks and flannels to dry on the flat airer. Smug-Mode-Adopted.

Got straight on with updating the Monday Inchcock Today. With the photographs, this took me ages, but persistence in battling the electricalised jumping right-hand fingertips paid off. I got it posted to WordPress.

I celebrated with a super pain-free wee-wee! Hehehe!

I went to make a mug of tea but didn’t do so. I had to nip for a heavy-duty Porcelain Throne session. Although uncomfortable and painful, it was far less so than previous ones, and less messy too!

WD 102.0.74 The stubbing of a left big toe against the metal toilet seat riser legs, I could have done without.

I checked and rang-out the shirt again, and back to the computer to make a start of this blog. Two hours, one paragraph, and four wee-wees later, I decided to get the ablutions sorted out. Carer Sharon is due at 0745hrs, so I wanted to get myself ready for her arrival. Any exercises today, are not going to be comfortable, salutary, and seem unjustified, with the stubbed-toe still being in an aculeate mood.

1Mon06Back to making a brew. Took the medications and did the health checks – ’twas a bit of a surprise with some readings this morning. Sys 165. Dia 143, but the Pulse was only 56? Low surely? The temperature was 35.7°c. I checked on Google: High environmental temperatures can be dangerous to your body. In the range of 90˚ and 105˚F (32˚ and 40˚C), you can experience heat cramps and exhaustion. Between 105˚ and 130˚F (40˚ and 54˚C), heat exhaustion is more likely. You should limit your activities at this range. I’m confused more now. Tsk!

2Tue03I went onto the balcony to take a picture of below, through tone of the uncleanable multi and dirty glass panes. I used to be able to take these shots from the old, simple and workable kitchen windows. But the new unwanted, multi-glass-paned windowed with the sticking out wide ledge, the higher lowest point to gain access, but not now. I need to use the stepladder to gain access to the unfavourable, disappointing, lamentably hard to gain access for cleaning, the 2Tue05unbidden and uncherished execrated windows, to view outside and below.

I found this “Didn’t-Mean-to-take-it”, picture later, on the SD card. Apparently taken as I made my way back indoors, from the deprecated new balcony.

Yet another call to pop to the wet room, for a wee-wee.

1Mon02WD-A Purple Unfortunately, this involved my suffering a new toe-stubbing one more time! Yet again, against the WC risers metal legs! Not that it bothered me, of course.

Lie02a I merely laughed it off, with gay abandonment and quite a little laugh! I may have said something like “Well, fancy that!”

Sharon, from the Stroke Support Recovery Team, rang the intercom. She is such a nice lady, patient and knowledgeable too. She went over how things were with me and seemed au fait of many things that had happened already. Patient with me, and recognisant of my problems. I explained about the expected Doctors phonecall and or visit not taking place yesterday. The shaking from the Peripheral Neuropathy and the toenail situation. After a good long session, she departed. I thanked her, and off she popped.

I took another wee-wee, still of the SWWW (Short-weak-wee-wee) variety. Then planned to have some instant potato with added cheese and onions, a tin of garden peas and some sausages or pork for the meal later. See, I can make decisions, it’s just that I often change my mind a lot. Temporising and equivocating come easy to me nowadays. Tsk!

I made a brew of Glengettie tea, then went on CorelDraw to make up some diary page Headers and Thoughts.

Many hours later, I got the meal prepared.

2Tue22

The instant mash with onions, tomatoes, garden peas, sweet peas, roast pork and a lemon mousse. I had the last of the wholemeal bread thins with it. Flavour rating: 9.2/10.

The cheesy mash, after mixing, went into the oven on a tray and done until burnt. Great!

Took the medications and settled in the rickety dour-beige recliner. Put the TV on, and for the first time in ages, nodded off like I used to regularly before the stroke. I kept waking up a few times and then decided to doss down proper.

Pulled the woolly hat down over the eye, tried to think of happier times and England… and drifted off. Ahh!

Inchcock Today – Monday 3rd June 2019: The day started with a stubbed-toe, Argh! Then things got worse. Honestly!

Scottish Gaelic: Diluain 3 Ògmhios 2019

02:40hrs. I woke up in a more bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, perkier mood (this was due to change within ten-minutes, tough, Humph!) this morning. I expected this is because of my long-overdue impending visit to the chiropodist later this morning.

The now regular awakening need of a wee-wee arrived. I extracted my overweight bulbous body from the £300 second-hand, c1968, gungy-beige, tatty, rickety recliner and to the  EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket), and a lengthy evacuation took place.

I was almost ecstatic when I realised that Arthur Itis, Colin Cramps, Leslies Leg-Shaking,
Axonotmesis, Anne Gyna and the Peripheral neuropathy, were all being practically painless to me! This boosted the perkier mood, up to Over-the-Moon status. (Wait for it, here it comes…)

1Mon02WD-A 0.0.128 Suddenly. I decided to get the hand-washing out of the way the first job of the day. So, feeling a little cocky, I poddled to the kitchen without the walking stick; just as I was going over the door tread, I gave myself the worst ever Toe-Stubbing of my life! This immediately activated the Axonotmesis stamping and shaking of the leg – and I repeatedly suffered severe pain every time the foot stamped down on the floor!

WD-A 0.0.128 I made a grab for the counter, to stop myself falling, and caught onto the tray instead of the surface, the server-tray slid, and I went with it, down onto the floor! The memories of last time I went on the floor having the stroke were refreshed, and the pain was genuinely excruciating from the stubbed big toe afterwards. And it hasn’t stopped hurting since. I just hope I have not broken any bones.

Getting back up, I used the method shown to me by Caroline and Sonia. It worked well enough and saved me panicking and using the wristlet emergency alarm. I was barefooted at the time, I limped and hirpled my way to the other room, and belatedly put on the slippers. But they had to come off, it was too painful wearing them. Now I was fretting about my getting to the chiropodist at the Medical Centre.

1Mon01aNothing to do about it, but wait and hope the pain eases, so I can get my shoes on later, and make it to the clinic.

I took the medications, with extra Codeine Phosphate pain-killers. I hope they do not send me to sleep. Huh, I just can’t win, can I?

I tackled the hand-washing. Moved the bath towel, which was not anywhere near dry yet, onto the stand-up airer. Then, I wrang-out the t-shirt and socks best I could and got them drying on the airer.

No calls to the Porcelain Throne yet?

WD-A 0.0.128 To add to my misery, I clouted my elbow on the door edge when hanging up the towel. What a Nebech I am!

WD0.0.128 The fingers were so bad this morning, the faintest touch of the tips against anything at all, and they would start dancing and jumping. However, I discovered the new Canon camera, could be used with the left hand, and still allow the shutter (due to its location nearer the centre top) to be pressed with a left finger. Not perfect, but overall better than trying to use the shaking right hand and fingers. Bit of luck there! But using the keyboard and mouse remains a battle of wills, with the fingers usually winning. I’m taking longer and longer doing the blogs and CorelDrawing. Phwert!

The poorly right foot’s big toe, is still painful, even with the shoes, socks and slippers off. I’m a bit concerned about this, and having to walk and travel with the footwear on, to the bus then clinic. This thought prompted me to check the 40 route bus times on Google.

1Mon07d

1Mon06It may prove difficult, with catching the 09:28hr bus, it is early, I’ll need to pay the £2.30 fare. Too early to use the bus pass. Oh, dear, what do I do? I suppose I’ll have to get the 10:02hrs one. Which will mean waiting for ages to get seen, and another long, late day for me. Humph!

I got the health checks done.

I got the Sunday post finished and sent off to WordPress. The toe is still as lousy pain wise.

Making a start on this post, things with the fingers got even worse. It really is like getting an electric shock sometimes when the finger ends touch anything, and worse if I am pressing harder.

1Mon08WD-A 0.0.128 I went to make a brew. Got the shakes just as I was refilling the kettle – the result, the finger needed some antiseptic cream putting on it, to lessen the sensation from the scolding. I am now officially, fed-up, in constant pain, and missing the nurses so much! Haha! Surely things must get better soon, I thought.

I was wrong!

1Mon07WD0.0.128 I found that I had made a right-cock-up with the blog. I’d made up the template for today’s post, and sent it off to WordPress in error for Sundays! So, I had to delete it, and start all over again, then send the proper one off. Today is proving to be a little fraught Putting it mildly, already!

The chronically painful self-imposed toe-stubbing, having a fall to the floor and getting back up again, the Bruised elbow – most worrying is the agony from the stubbed toe not easing off, though. Will I be able to get the shoes on, to go to the foot clinic? Double-Grumph! No, Treble-Grumph!

1Mon07cI checked the toe as the pain is just not easing off at all, and when it comes in contact with anything, it gets unbearable! The end of the toe was going black, I think.

If this prevents my getting to the foot clinic, then the toes nails will not get cut again, and I’ll suffer even longer… Oh, never mind, I’m sick of things going wrong and fed-up of me cavilling on and pettifogging about things. I’m just not lucky, that’s all.

I set about carefully doing the ablutions, though as quickly as I could, for fear of missing the bus, time was getting on, with all the delays, Whoopsiedangleplops and Accifauxpas to date today.

I got readied and set out with the three-wheeler guide. The toe was still extremely painful, so the progress was slow. But, I had set out with I hoped, plenty of time. I met Riechsführeress and Catwalk Model, Warden Deana, on Chestnut Way, and told her of my Accifauxpas to date. A little chinwag, and on to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

1Mon08aI handed some nibbles to Obersturmführeress Warden and Operatic Singer, Julie. And set off on my hobble to Winchester Street to catch the 40 bus to the clinic.

The cars and vans were parked in such a position that I had to go on the roadway to get by some of them. Note the dark car, with its rear wheels about two-foot from the edge of the pavement? As I went onto the road, a residents blackish1Mon09 car zoomed around the bend and came close to clobbering me. I honestly don’t think the driver saw me at all! Grumph! My luck might be changing though, at least she missed me! Tsk!

I had to walk in the road again on Winchester Street. At least there was no traffic on the road this time.

I got to the bus shelter, with 6 minutes to spare before the number 40 bus was due. The driver kindly didn’t move until I was settled in one of the side-saddle seats. It seemed to take no time at all for the bus to get to the Robin Hood Chase bus stop I needed to alight at.

WD0.0.128 A made a bit of a hash of getting off of the bus with the three-wheeled-trolley doing its own thing, Haha!

WD0.0.128 I cross1Mon09aed the St Anns Well Road and began to walk to the Health Centre. When the ignorant imbecile of a pavement Cyclist, weaved his way through some pedestrians, and on to the road. How he missed the chap crossing the road was a miracle. Again, I don’t think the bozo even noticed the gentleman as he shot between the man as he went off of the pavement! Grrr!

I painfully made my way to the centre (The feet and toes!). I inquired of the young receptionists, where I would find the chiropodist room. I was informed it is now called podiatry, and told the way, which I followed. My heart sank when I saw the Age UK, Nottingham banner on the wall. I knew they could not do my toe cutting, last week when they phoned me and refused to treat me, because of the ‘Number of issues’ I have. I really thought this would be another company, but no.

WD0.0.128 They soon located my refusal-paperwork with notes of the Warfarin I’m on, And the replacement ticker, the Axonotmesis, and the Peripheral neuropathy amongst other ailments I suffer from, that prevent them from cutting my toenails! So, I knew there was no chance of any treatment today! There were three ladies, I assume one of them the podiatrist, the other two volunteers from Age UK? They were also so kind to me. And they got their heads together trying to find a way to help me out. I was offered a cup of tea, and they showed patience with me, my getting confused and the hearing problems as well as this mornings toe stubbing, and the scalding of my ane right index finger. The falling over on the floor. The elbow bashing. The Anne Gyna… etc. The lady who I assumed was the Chiropodist took a look at my feet and legs. After a while, two of the women went to call my Dr Vindla for me. They returned to tell me to go home and wait for the Doctor to either call me on the phone or visit me at home this afternoon.

Hope glimmered at me! I thanked them and apologised for getting things mixed up. One of the ladies walked me out of the premises.

I called in the nearby Co-op and got some peas, bread-thins and vinegar. Then walked, (well, limped gingerly), to the bus stop. While waiting, I tried to take a photo of another Pavement Cyclist shooting off of the footpath in front of traffic, this time. But a van came and blocked the view. If you look hard, you might see bits of the cyclist, in pictures 3 & 4. Haha!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

1Mon16I kept pressing the button and got these rather failed shots in.

WD0.0.128 Moments later, another mindless Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist did the exact same thing, and with is arms folded!

WD0.0.128 I caught the bus and dropping (almost literally), off of the bus on Sherwood Rise. The near accident with the three-wheeled trolley bought the best out in the Nottinghamian people at the bus stop, as I slipped, but kept upright with the cart, while alighting the bus. One looked at me with 1Mon17a sneer and a gone-out expression, one laughed, and the other one showed no interest at all.

I recovered, and now in more pain with the feet and toes, I slowly made my way across the road and down to Chestnut Way.

Taking this photographical gem as I hobbled as gently as I could manage down the hill.

The top of Winchester Street and all of Chestnut Way was snided-out with parked traffic.

Walking along Chestnut Way, I  snapped these shots of the new and buildings. They are coming along well! Could be finished by November, they say.

Then pictured some wildflowers on the verge of the now accessible again, footpath. Not too bad, this new camera for taking flowers?

I got a call from one of the Stroke support team, Lucy, I think. She said she’d call the chemist at Carrington. She called me back to tell me that the medications would be delivered in about a week, in blister packs.

I got in and had a wee-wee, washed and got updating this blog. Did up to here, it was now 16:00hrs. Heard nothing from Dr Lona Vindla yet. Feeling very tired, now. Been up for twelve hours or more, now.

I did an amendment to the Morrison order, added some cheapo fabric softener and freshener-granules. Got the oven on to warm up ready for the chips later.

Got the vittles served up1Mon33. Chips, yellow tomatoes and some Polish pork loin (Sopocka) wholemeal bread thin sarnies, an apple, and a lemon mousse. Ate all of this prandicle up, with degust. A flavour-rating 0f 8/10 given to this feast.

Washed up, and got settled down in the ancient might be worth something to a collector (50p?), recliner.

I sid a few photos of the extremely painful stubbed toe.

Not a pretty sight. Obviously, the mission to get the toenails cut is still being thwarted by my having, ‘Too many issues’ for the chiropodists to cut my nails!

Sometimes, when agony dawns, and there is no sight nor hope of things improving, one can get terribly depressed. But, and however, this stage has not yet been reached by Inchcock… But it’s damned close! Hahaha!

Swedish: Lördag 1 Juni 2019

Wd BLACK 04:40hrs. I woke after laying praying futilely for sleep for hours and hours. And an hour-and-a-half after eventually dropping off. Phwert!

Within seconds, I was in need of the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket). Again, I was caught by surprise with how full it was. I must have been using it without realising a few times during my microscopical sleep?

Wd BLACK 6Sat07A most delusive sound rang out from somewhere. A kind of vague, wailing noise with coughing sounds in the background? This happened twice in the space of thirty seconds. It was rather loud. I heard it easily enough, without any hearing aids in? But couldn’t locate the source of the worrying noise. Tsk! The plumbing, perhaps?

I took the nearly full bucket to clean and be disinfected in the wet room. Job done, I ventured to try and find the source of this mystery lamentational noise. To the kitchen first. Nothing found. Got the step ladder, which is now needed since the installation of the new light & view-blocking. thick-framed new windows, to see below, outside. No untoward signs. Then I had a look and listened with the door held open. Nothing heard or seen. Another Mystery of my beloved Woodthorpe Court: that lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the spacetime continuum. Apparently, illusion, delusion, & hallucination ridden! Mmm!

The fingers started to at electrocuted again, when the tips touch anything. The updating of the Friday blog was a nightmare, well, daymare! It took me so long, I’d almost grown a head of hair by the time it was completed and posted off to WordPress.

I took the medications and did the health checks. Sia 166, Dia 85, Pulse 76 and the temperature at 35.6°c, then took some photographs with the new, freshly charged Canon camera.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

6Sat16Wd BLACK I managed to take another unknown mystery photograph I found later on the SD card?

Ah well, it’s in keeping with all the earlier cameras – or is it me? Haha!

Started this blog off. But it was still hard work!

Wee-wees seemed to be dying down, they were getting less frequent for sure?

Time to get the ablutions done. And what an annoying session this was. The dang right-hand fingers were electrifying-dancing more than ever, just when I was shaving. Somehow or other, I managed without cutting myself.

Wd BLACK Per contra, 2019 May 23athe dancing-fingers kept on and continued to give me bother. I dropped the toothbrush (that was a good one, I still haven’t found where it went, and I had to use another one?). The eye-drop bottle was also dropped, well it shot out of my pestering fingers hand really, and via the sink, WC, wall, cabinet and the floor, rolled around the back of toilet into the hardest place there could be for me to retrieve it! The disposable razor shot out of my hand twice! The carbolic soap slipped and hit the wall on its way to plop into the toilet bowl!
Last but not least, of the Axonotmesis causing  Whoopsiedangleplops by any means… I dropped the bottle of Brute after-shave, and it landed on my corned toes with the elongated nails that are still awaiting being cut! Oh, the agony! I failed to appreciate the humorous side of things on this occasion.

In pain, weed-off and somewhat battered, I tackled the problem of getting dressed. A simple-enough operation for the majority of the population, but I am in with the 6% of older and frail folks who struggle, and boy did I have to moil all the way!

7Sun16Wd BLACK I banged my ankle when using the Sock-Glide. Hit my elbow on the edge of the door edge. Clouted the back of my head when getting the jumper on. A bit of a mystery even to me, how I managed to do this. Getting the Ankle-Support straps on, was one hell of a struggle, but I felt so proud of myself once it was fitted, I went into Smug-Mode!

The pins had lost a bit of fluid retention. The 6Sat18knees were not so gnarled either. But some new papsules in number were appearing again now. And one leg was a little larger than the other.

Wd BLACK I got the shoes on, but when I stood up, the feet were in just too much pain with the strapping wearing on the toes. Taking off the ankle-Support was not precisely pain-free, either. The short-lived Smug-Mode was cancelled! To be replaced with the Dismally, Depressed – Discouraged – Doleful – Depths-Mode was adopted! Damned close to feeling sorry for myself, now! That won’t do!

Then I got the hand washing done. Got one t-shirt not dried from yesterday on the airer. Then washed and started to dry a pair of socks, a thick jumper, and a woolly-bob-hat. I’m enjoying doing this each day, it keeps me active to a degree when I’m not feeling too bright.

I was slightly cheered, when I remembered the Saturday morning out-of-date cheap food sale was on in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Emergency Toilet, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents shed. So, I took some chocolate nougat and a mandarin dessert for them in the trolley, and a recycling bag down with me on the way to the hut. I dropped the bag next to the caretaker’s door.

6Sat19 I limped along, with the pains and injuries from the ablution session still sore. Hehehe! Arrived at the shed, and turned to take this picture of Windwood Heights, without any lorries, vans or worked; it being a Saturday.

Also, the distinguished, well-mannered, residents folks of Winwood Heights, now have an accessible footpath to use, at least this weekend we have anyway.

Only five people in the cabin when I arrived. I had the shakes and a bit of a dizzy-spell as I went inside. I put this down as the reason for my purchasing some Egyptian broccoli that was all seeds, and the 3-day out-of-date rock hard pack of potato cakes. I gave someone the chocolates and mandarins. I seem to remember doing a lot of talking?

Wd BLACK No doubt, the dizzy and shakes combined, had put-me-off balance a smidge. Once outside and gently walking back to Woodthorpe Court along Chestnut Walk, I realised I had bought some broccoli and the hard potato cakes. But cannot recall doing so, although I remember seeing them on sale. Angela and Roy were walking in the opposite direction, I think I asked them if they wanted the food, but they wisely declined. Hehe!

6Sat18aI tried to get a decent shot of some magpies in the shrubbery as I walked along the rubbish-strewn footpath.

Wd BLACK This first shot made me suddenly aware that I had bought, or been sold, the Canon camera X40, that did not have a view-finder fitted. Bad that, with me missing the fact. I felt a right Charlie actually!

6Sat18bThen another bird came down to join its mate on the floor. I patiently waited so long to get a good picture.

Later, when I got the picture on the computer, this on the right is what I’d taken?

Either the magpies were like lightning, or I was not adequately recovered from the earlier funny turn properly? Haha!

6Sat21I just got the lens through the wire fencing to take this photo of the linking passageway between Woodthorpe Court and Winwood Courts. Not operational yet of course, but it looks good and airy, and will keep us old uns indoors in the rain?

I managed to get another photograph messed up as I was about to grab the three-wheeled-guide to carry on back to the flats6Sat19.

Sat beyond the trolley, was the most-appealing long-haired grey cat. Just sat apparently calmy looking at me. I’d have sworn blind I had taken a shot of the old grey cat in the picture, too!

I was feeling a smidge disorientated, I think. I got in the flat foyer and dropped the potato cakes and broccoli on the table for someone to try if they liked.

Back up to the flat. The wee-wees had changed to the SSDWW (Short-Sensationless-Dribbling-Wee-Wee style.

I got the lethal new kitchen windows open and tried out the zoom on the new view-finderless camera. I was pretty pleased with it. I’d have felt even better if I wasn’t feeling so rough at the moment. The Canon save images in IMG format, the Nikon as P, and the Lumix as DSGN. It all gets me confused even further than I am already!

6Sat25

Got the computer on, to the sounds of taps, knock and the odd bag from above. I heard them with the hearing-aids out.

Wd BLACK I’d got some really tiny new-potatoes in the slow-cooker earlier, about five hours ago, and they were still hard, so I turned the machine to a high setting. I think this crock-pot not cooking very fast is the reason I got the other new one, that fell to pieces the other day. I can’t win, can I? Huh!

I spent about three hours on this update. The jumping fingers stayed that way all the time, so progress was not good.

I went to put the oven for the sweet and sour ready-made wheel, wheel? I meant a meal. (I’m losing it now! Proof of my excellent phlyarologist capabilities, Haha!) And added some orange peppers, I’ll add the potatoes if ever they cook, later. The noise from above had stopped, then I heard a commotion that seemed to be coming from the door. Went to investigate, and found a letter had been posted.

6Sat24 It was from the NHS concerning Bowel Cancer Screening.

The screening kit is to arrive in two weeks. I think I’ve had them before.

Feeling very tired now. So I’ll get the nosh cooking I reckon.

Got the sweet & sour with extra sauce, and the potatoes added, in a tray in the oven. Set timer for 35 minutes, then I can add the sourdough baguettes to it, and they should both be ready at the same time. Fingers crossed.

Feeling a bit perkier now; no more dizzies or shakes for over an hour now. Things are looking up.

6Sat25I got the nosh prepared and served up.

Wd BLACK I shall not be trying this Sweet & Sour chicken ready-meal again. I added the mini-potatoes and baked (heated-up) a sourdough baguette to soak up the juices, which were fine. The pineapple pieces, which I am not supposed to eat, were rock-hard. So I avoided eating them after one bite, this was not a bad thing. There was no sour taste involved, it was all sweet! Flavour-rating 2.5/10. But the baguette was tasty!

But for anyone that likes dry, stringy chicken pieces and sickly sweet sauce, with granite-like pineapple pieces, these Sharwoods meals can be bought from Morrisons. They’ll be ideal for you.

Washed and got settled in the £300 second-hand recliner, and put the TV on. It took ages, but eventually I nodded-off – must have needed it, cause I slept straight through for five-hours.

Ukranian: Неділя 26 травня 2019 року

WD 0.0.50 W Got to sleep around 03:00hrs I woke in need of a wee-wee at 05:35hrs. My EQ told me this was going to be a stinker-of-a-day. A fraught, exigent sort of Sunday, lonely as well. (It was right too!)

I extracted my bulbous body from the rickety, ci 1968, gungy-beige, second-hand, £300 recliner, caught my balance, but still took the stick with me, and visited the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket). I was gobsmacked at how full the bucket was. I knew that the hours spent trying my best to get to sleep, were wee-wee ridden, but the amount passed surprised me. I think I managed around three hours maximum. Getting fed up of this, especially as sleep was never a problem before the stroke. Hey-ho, mustn’t complain, I’m still here, pale and white, struggling, but alive. I must remember this!

I went to empty and resanitise the EGPWWB. The colouring was a darkish brown. As was expected, Sophia and Caroline had warned to expect this with taking the Nitrofurantoin antibiotic. The hands and finger had joined the right leg in dancing about every time any contact is made. The fingers and hand with a mug of tea and the foot contacting the floor seem to be very popular with the Axonotmesis at the moment. Hehehe!

7Sun01WD 0.0.50 W I had a go at the sock-glide, but I might have been a little overconfident this time, as you can see in the photograph. The shakes came at the wrong time for me (Not that there is a right time, snigger!) Just as I was inserting the foot into the sock.

Hey-ho!

I can testify to the good quality metal used in 7Sun16the frame of the sock-glide. Haha!

The picture is a little blurred, as the hands were also shaking a bit, but they all calmed down shortly. I even managed one of the Hokey-Pokey dance routines again.

Off to the kitchen, and was greeted by blasting wind coming through the windows. Mind you, 7Sun02it was blowing a good bit out there Brr!

On closer inspection, it turned out that I had not pressed hard enough last night when shutting the window on the left.

Hence the wind was blowing in.

So, I managed to get it appropriately closed, after a few tries. That’s some else since the 7Sun11astroke, I can’t believe how weak I am now.

I tended to the health checks, took the medications, and made a brew of Strong English Breakfast tea in the China mug.

WD 0.0.50 W I got on the computer and realised how late it was. I don’t like this getting up late. It was already hours passed my usual blog posting time, and I had not even started to update it yet! Sour, bitter, and Fed-up Modes all Adopted!

I had a comment on WordPress, answered it, and went on the Reader Section. By the time I had done this, the EGPWWB was already refilled to a third of its capacity. All of the wee-wees were of the UWTWW Unwilling-Weak-Trickle-Wee-Wee class, up to now. But, they seemed to be getting more frequent, so the antibiotics had worked. Another cleansing of the bucket. More disinfectant added and back in place near the computer chair.

The shakes had tryingly returned, and so much time was lost, with errors being made and having to be corrected. I bet I’ve missed no-end of them. Oy Vey!

7Sun15WD 0.0.50 W Back to the kitchen to take the midday meds: I was most annoyed but unsurprised, almost nonchalant to find that I had left the hot water tap running. To make thing worse, I emptied the bowl, and sod-me, I did it again! Luckily, I noticed before the almost tepid water overflowed this time. I didn’t get annoyed with myself at all this time. For the earlier warnings from the EQ, had prepared me well. But if anything else goes wrong, things might be different. Semi-Smug-Mode-Harnessed! Hahaha!

WD 0.0.50 W I realised that I had not put the Ankle-Support-Strapping on, as the foot went over when I was still in the kitchen, lucky any damage was limited by my having the walking stick in my hand at the time. The reason for this being; The toes and feet, still in need of the Chiropodists attention, at least to have the toe-nails cut, are no just too painful if I put on the strapping. And, I have another week and a day, before I can get to see anyone. The situation is not good! For certain, walking is more painful, but perhaps less so than with the Ankle-Support on. But the risk of a broken bone is so much higher now. I  can’t win, can I? Peed-Off-Mode now adopted. Humph!

A few more UWTWWs were taken, and the bucket is now about just over half-way filled, so I once again sterilised and freshened it, took the EGPWWB back to the computer chair.

7Sun18The rain came down, and it took my spirits with it a little.

Finally, at last, around lunchtime, I got around to starting today’s blog going. The shakes were still flamboyant in the fingers and hands, but as I was sitting most of the time, apart from the occasional visit to the Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket, this was to be anticipated.

I did so far and then went on CorelDraw to create some funny political graphics and a couple of Inchcock Thoughts funnies for the drafts.

Got the fodder on. Black bean sauce with chicken pieces, tomatoes, spirit vinegar, and mushroom slices. Ate it all this time. (Not all the milk-bread of course).

7Sun20

Got the washing-up done7Sun19. And watched the rain falling for a while.

I got in the second-hand rickety recliner, and pulled the bobble hat down over my eyes, convinced I would surely be able to nod off this time, I felt so weary mentally.

An hour or so later, I nodded off. And had a repeat dream, I think. The night before, I dreamed of working at Scan Security and being sent to Netherfield in a  hurry.

WD 0.0.50 W This time tonight, I woke in a panic, thinking I was late for getting to the site… It took a moment or two for me to realise it was not twenty-odd years ago, nor real. Most uncomfortable making! I battled to get back to sleep, fighting the pain from the cramps, so it took me a while to drop-off again.

WD 0.0.50 W The landline phone rang, waking me up. I made my way painfully to answer it. An Asian sounding voice waffled on, but I could not understand a word he was saying without the hearing aids being available. Over the next hour and a half, he rang at least ten more times, but I ignored them all. On the next ring, I shouted down the line “What?” The same voice spoke, and I could make-out ‘food delivery’… I told him this is the wrong number, and he keeps waking me up! I slammed down the phone. Tired, weary and now annoyed as well! By now; 22:20hrs, any more sleep was out of the question.

So I got up, had a UWTWW, and got on the computer to update this diary.

WD 0.0.50 W The landline rang out again – it was as she said; A forwarded text message. I rang-off, an unhappy Inchcock!

7Sun22I went to make a brew and took a photograph of the night scene from the unwanted, new, light & view blocking, multi-window panes that need cleaning, and I can’t reach to clean them, windows; That will require the use of the stepladder to take pictures of, or see anything down on Chestnut Walk. Such as ambulances, paramedics, fire engines, Police Cars or muggers.

Then, a summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived. Crikey it was a hard, solid, and most painful, longest evacuation I’ve suffered for ages!  I took an extra Senna when I eventually got myself sorted out. Still, there was no bleeding, surprisingly.

Worra lonely, frustrating and nervewracking day! Humph!

TTFN, taketh care all.

Inchcock Today – Sat 25 May 2019: An irritating, omnium-gatherum ridden day, and sleep deprived night!

Icelandic: Laugardaginn 25 Maí 2019

WD 0.0.50 W 03:30hrs. What a horrible, macabre, perturbing and disturbing night’s effort at sleeping. (I might think of more words to add to this list later, like atrocious, dreadful, direful, hideous, contemptible, execrable, lousy, frustrating, heinous, laughable, doleful, third-rate, rebarbative… depictive words like that! Oy Vey and Pickled Walnuts!

I only got about an hour in, then woke in need of the Porcelain Throne. Or at least I thought I required the Porcelain Throne. An almost nippy exit from the £300, c1968, grotty-beige coloured rickety, ramshackle recliner, the feet,, and toes were giving me bother once I stood up, and off to the wet room. Much wind and no movement, despite great painful efforts made, and my continuing to take the Senna tablets? While I sat there a long time, failing to prompt any activity from the innards, the causes of my lack of kip flowed monositantly and incessantly into the brain. Of course, as to be expected, there were no understanding or solutions found on my behalf, of why, or what can be done to solve this relatively new conundrum?

By the I capitulated and gave up all hope of internal movements, I was not interested in sleep anymore. In fact, it was a struggle to find anything to be involved in. Then I remembered it was Saturday, the Cheesy potato meal for Josie. This cheered me up a little.

WD 0.0.50 W A wee-wee of the VSSWWW (Very-Short-Sprinkly-Weak-Wee-Wee) urination classification. And then went to get the medications ready and do the Health Checks. A bit different today; Dia 154, Sys 69, Pulse 88, and temperature 54.8°. Getting the tablets out of the blister packs reminded me of Ping-Pong. Humph! The finger-ends were dancing about when they made contact with anything hard, more than ever before, and it lasted far longer too, this time. The right leg was occasionally jumping, but I’ve almost gotten used to that.

WD 0.0.50 W I wanted to make a start on Saturday… erm Friday Inchcock to get it done. There is a lot of photographs and writing to take place. The fingers slowing me down was bad enough, but then the Liberty-Global crap Virgin Internet started going so slow! Of course, its the weekend again!

Virgin (4b)

I stopped trying to use the computer, in the hopes that it will come back to its average pathetic speed soon. “In the hopes…” saying such a thing brings on a feeling of dysphoria, and an acceptance of just how stupid I really am!

I made a brew of tea and got some hand-wash clobber in the bowl with freshener and liquid soap powder6Sat07. A heavy shirt and a pair of bamboo socks. Oh, and the Ankle-Strappings.

WD 0.0.50 W I checked on the computer, and surprisingly, the Liberty-Global internet service was still hogwash and slow. So, I have to be careful without the Ankle-Support on, but at least I am not going out anywhere. Another reason for feeling low!

6Sat06So I carried on with the hand-washing, and did my best to wring them out and got them on the slow-airer flatbed, and hung some up.

Despite the Liberty-Global ramshackle pretend service being so slow, I pressed on, battling not only internet, but the electrified jumping fingers, and it was a hell of a struggle, too, I can tell yers. Humph!

Some or other I got the blog finished but was really in need of some sleep. iLife was feeling mashugana to me now!

A lot of tap-tap, nock-knocking from the flat above this morning. I hope he’s fell over and injured himself, self-stabbed with one of his screwdrivers or drills. Oh, I meant I hope he’s not fell over and hurt himself, self-stabbed with one of his screwdrivers or drills. Silly me!

WD 0.0.50 W I called to see what time Josie would like her nosh, but no answer.

I kept turning the clothes that were drying.

I went on TFZ Facebooking then WordPress Reader.

WD 0.0.50 W I called to see what time Josie would like her nosh, but no answer.

I made a start on this post. But after an hour or so, the internet became even slower.

WD 0.0.50 W I called to see what time Josie would like her nosh, Aha! She was up and answered.

We agreed 12:30 > 13:00hrs for the food to be delivered.

I took some photographs from the view-blocking, thick-framed, multi-glass-panes cleaning needed new Kitchen window, that I have to get on a step ladder in the event of my wanting to see anything below, like a fire engine, ambulance or policeman. I take back the last one, we don’t even see any policemen anywhere in Sherwood, and precious few in Nottingham. Tsk!

Got the cheesy potatoes in the oven already, turned them up and went into the wet room to get the ablutions done.

Virgin (4b)

All cleaned up and feeling better, I got Josie’s nosh prepared and went to deliver it for her, at 12:55hrs. No answer to her doorbells. Oh, dear!

I titivated the drying clothes and got my potatoes in the oven.

WD 0.0.50 W No answer to her doorbells. Oh, dear! Mark Two!

6Sat09

Later, with my potatoes burning and hers going cold, I went again to delivery Josies for her. She answered she had not heard the last two bell rings.

WD 0.0.50 W Shame it was as hot as I would have liked to have been for her. Still, the gal ate it all she said, apart from the bread, she does not eat white bread, sourdough or otherwise.

I did a bit of updating on this blog, then Josie called to return the tray and things. She seemed to have enjoyed it, which pleased me.

6Sat29WD 0.0.50 W I got my plate of food. But once again, I overdid the quantity. I ate the cheesy-potatoes (Of course, Hehe!), some of the tomatoes, sausages, and cucumber, and a little of the greenery, along with the mandarins in water. Not so bad though, I reckon I consumed about 70% of the fodder on offer. Not too bad, really, and the cheesy-potato flavouring was out-of-this-world, delectable. I used distilled vinegar this time, with a little bit of mustard and sea salt added to the mix.

I got down to watch some TV and set the timer, so I wouldn’t miss that Jackie Chan’s film, ‘Who am I’. A light-weight semi-comedy.

Josie rang the ‘I only want to be with you’ tuned doorbells. She gave me some yogourts and two potatoes. It was her way of saying thank you, I think, bless her cotton socks. ♥

Back to trying to get to sleep, and I saw an advert for the Hughie Tyson v unheard of Canadian Norrad fight. Being as kip was again showing no signs of coming, I foolishly stayed up to watch it. Crap! Absolute rubbish!

WD 0.0.50 W To make things worse, I was feeling so tired, despite having done nothing physical for ages, but Morpheus meant to avoid me at all costs. Then the brain started throwing things at me, my worries, desires, and failures, with childhood misery-memories thrown in the salmagundi of sleep denying torments.

WD 0.0.50 W The curtains were drawn, and I pulled the bobble hat down over my eyes. This was not working. So I tried the thinking of happier times… which took a lot of memory searching, and brought to mind more errors and wrong choices I had made over the years: Which made sleep even more distant and reluctant! I concentrated on the angling days at Attenborough reserve. And this brought on how much I miss my pipe of Erinmore Mixture. Getting disturbed, wanting a wee-wee so often. This was not working at all.

However, sheer tiredness, I think, got me off to kip eventually. By then it was about 03:00hrs!

I woke in need of a wee-wee at 05:35hrs. Peed-off! Tsk!

Inchcock – Wed 21 Nov 2018: A truly frustrating, furious-making, Whoopsiedangleplop, Accifauxpa and depression fermenting horrible day! Oy-Yoy-Yoy!

My passata jar lies amongst the alcoholics bottles. Jealous? Me? Yes!

3Wed01

Wednesday 21st November 2018

Croatian: Srijeda, 21. Studenog 2018

00:00hrs, I’d been awake and active since 21:25hrs, when I woke up thinking it was about 03:00hrs. When I say active, that may be overstating things a tad. Fair enough, the over grab-handle ridden, obese, pudgy torso with the dangling legs was operating, slowly, but working. The brain was another thing altogether. This morning, it was teasing me something awful; Verisimilitude was needed to sort out the facts from fiction coming out of m brain box. It seemed to refuse me access to the memory for a short time too and was seemingly having power cuts when I started, later on, to update the Tuesday Diary.

WD0.60.0 By the time I had risen to my feet, Duodenal Donald and Reflux Roger both kicked-off at the same time. I made for the medicine drawer in the kitchen, to take the morning doses with an extra Omeprazole, codeine phosphate and a great-guzzle of the weak, insipid antacid medicine. Got the Health Checks done.

3Wed001a

3Wed001At least the results for this session had gone way done. And the sphygmomanometer worked first time as well!

I made a brew taking care not to make it as tasty as I usually like it and added more milk than usual. So as not to make the pains from Reflux Roger and notably Duodenal Donald any worse than they are.

I didn’t enjoy it much.

I got on with updating and finishing off the Tuesday post. Sent it off.

The tea had gone cold of course, so I made another mug. Started on creating this post, and the call to the Porcelain Throne arrived. Off to the wet room.

WD0.60.0 A somewhat lengthy session this time. I read a few pages of the Clarkson Biography and counted just three dead and one live Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles on the floor. After cleaning myself up, I was gobsmacked to see another two Weevils, both live running near the shower drain? Tsk!

Duodenal Donald was giving me more grief than ever now. I dunked some Scottish Shorties in the tea, hoping to line the stomach a bit. It got a little easier an hour or so later.

I went on WordPress reader. Then the Facebooking updating photo albums.

I decided that I must sort out the spare room, or at least make a start on it. After a couple of hours, I’d got different area boxes and bags sorted and stacked up, ready for more in-depth arranging. I even made a bit of space where I could actually see the carpeting!

Off to the Porcelain Throne, washed, made a brew, and back into the spare room – despite Back-Pain-Branda, Arthur Itis, Duodenal Donald, and Anne Gyna collectively complaining and giving me grief!

WD0.60.0 Oy-Yoy-Yoy! A stack of stuff had fallen, knocking down the other stack of things and landing on the pile of bags, splitting open both the boxes and the black-bags! How frustrating, furious-making and depression fermenting! The damned place looks worse than before I started! I was in no mood to do anymore, morose in the extreme!

WD0.60.0 Down to do the laundry – but, both dryers were in use, Humph! Returned to the flat feeling somewhat wee’d-off, doomed, jinxed, damned, cursed, ill-fated, ill-omened and the most luckless pensioner in the world. Which is silly of course, but at that time… So sorry for myself, and in pain, mentally and physically! I engaged downheartedness, despondency and dispiritedness Modes synchronously!

I took some pictures from the kitchen window while I was doing the Health Checks. Usually, something as simple as taking a good photograph can cheer me up, but not this time, my dolorous mood remained!

3Wed03

3Wed04aI lost all interest in anything. (Found out later I’d missed the medication doses as well. Humph!

I pondered on what to have for my nosh. The way I was feeling and mood I was in, there was not much interest in cooking or eating, but I thought I better had.

A simple to make meal; a tin of tomatoes with some ready cooked smoked streaky bacon was put in a saucepan on alow light (I thought at the time) Into the main room and got the TV on. I fell asleep. Woke 20-minutes or so later… I could smell burning!

WD0.60.0 Luckily, the fire alarm did not go off. I  tipped out any moveable beans and bits of burnt bacon I could, scraped out and scrapped the burnt food, and soaked the pan in the bowl with bleach, washing up liquid and soda. My Fed-up-with-life mode moved into Defcon Two! Hehe! I got another tin of beans in the other pan, and the last bits of the bacon added, and on the hob warming up once more. Of course, I dare not leave the kitchen again. So stood stirring as the meal slowly heated up.

3Wed05a - CopyGot the continental brown bread, the lemon dessert and a bottle of lemon and lime spring water, and back to the £300 second-hand recliner with the tray, to gobble it all up.

Had things been going better, I would have perhaps given this nosh a rating of 9/10. But the Whoopsiedangleplops and Accifauxpas had lowered my spirits and interest, enthusiasm for life to its lowest level in many a month. Self-pitying old schlemiel! I ate it all, though, including all the bread!

WD0.60.0 To worsen my misery, when I put the tray and things in the washing-up bowl, I found two live Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil Black Biting Beetles on the draining board! Fed-up or what?

3Wed05The evening sky was worth a picture taking of it, I thought.

I got down in the £300 second-hand recliner and put the TV on again.

I slipped into Sweet-Morphious in seconds. I feared the problems may keep me awake with the brain musing and feeling confused. As is the grey-cells want, and way.

WD0.60.0 I woke with a start, confused as to why? Then I spotted the light flashing on the telephone landline. I really had a struggle on to get out of the £300 second-hand recliner as quick as I could manage; dropping the TV remote, pen and pad and tablet box from my overly-sized stomach, and knocking over the bottle of spring water, then stubbing my toe… But I got there before it stopped. I hazily answered the phone; it was Brother-in-Law Pete. Half-asleep and in a bit of a mental pickle, I’m blown if I can now remember all of what was said… no, hang on, street art in Sherwood… Nottingham Post must take a look at their site… that’s it, all I can recall. In fact, the next day, I found ‘Nott’m Post, look at’ on the notepad?

I got back down in the recliner, I think I pondered on the busy Thursday calendar, then back into the land of Nod!

A day that I’d like to forget! Humph!
