Inchcock Today Wed 13 Jan 16: Another long busy day

01W

Wednesday 13th January 2016

I woke up at 0155 hrs, wide awake. The dreams I’d been having seemed to escape from my memory so quickly again. I have no idea what they were about, only that they were not nice.

The ulcer was a lot easier, but Ann Gina lingered on.

Little Inchy, so much improved over the last two days, was bleeding a bit. The tingling and stinging were back with a vengeance. Humph!

I put the kettle on and realised how early it was still. Thoughts of the things I had to get done today felt a bit daunting. Good job I had risen early gives me a chance to get the diaries caught up with before having to prepare and go on my missions for the day.

Dizzy spells put in an appearance this morning. Two in the first hour. Oh dear.

Turned the light on in the living room and nowt happened! Got the steps and managed, not easily mind, to change the bulb. The bulb that had gone was the one I got from Derby Market at £8.45, claiming a long life and soft shine. Humph!

Got some time or Facebooking, checked emails, etc.

I Got myself a good wash and brushed up.

Little Inchy bled quite a bit when I titivated and cleaned him up. The back passage was clear of blood Good!

P1020854

Pondering on the tasks that lay ahead.

With moving the things out of the hallway into the bedroom last night – I’d blocked in my shopping bag of stuff to take with me. Tsk! Had to take all the things out to get to the bag, and then put them back in again. Silly boy!

Got the things from the fridge to add to the bag of goodies for Jane and Pete. Put it in a large bag with my usual small bag, so I could carry them all in one hand on my journey into Sherwood, then town, and out to West Bridgford. Made sure I’d got the bus pass in my pocket.

Updated this rubbish and checked taps, lights, etc. and set off to the lobby, where I hope I can have a natter with a few other tenants who might be waiting for the bus.

P1020860I set out to go down for the bus and was greeted with this at the lift.

The “Lift Out of Order” signs blaring at me.

The other elevator was working, but If I couldn’t get on it soon, I’d miss the bus.

Eventually, it stopped on my twelfth floor but had a lady in a mobility scooter in it, so no room for anyone else.

I hobbled down the stairs to the lobby.

Out to the bus stop, gave some residents a nibble and the bus arrived.

I was soon in town, and walked to the bus stop and caught a bus out to West Bridgford and Sister Jane’s mansion.

My first job was to fuss old Fooey. Despite his being in the land of nod.

P1020856 P1020855

He looked well done in and tired bless him, but managed a purr or two for me..

Pete took the photographs for me.

They made me a cuppa, and I gave them their treats and nibbles.

A good chinwag ensued, but I couldn’t stay too long, a lot to get done today.

Pete gave me the key for the old house. Then I set off to get the bus back to town.

P1020857

Attempted ‘Moody’ shot

Took a Moody photograph near Victoria Centre Mall.

Not a bad one as it turned out.

Well, alright, it was not good.

Okay, crap then!.

Had a walk in the centre and called into the Tesco store, to get some Fresh Cream French Horns – they didn’t have any and I was pleased in fact. Cause I am planning to have, a large beef pie and savoury seasoned baked beans later. If I’d had the cakes, it would have destroyed my dieting plan.

Caught the bus to the clinic on Hucknall Road. They seemed concerned about the puss coming out instead of blood. Got to go back on Monday for further checks.

P1020859

The Swine!

Got the bus into Sherwood.

Espying a git of a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist, belting down the hill across from the bus stop.

If they are too scared to use the roads, they shouldn’t be on a bike!.

Had to wait for yonks for an L9 bus, the L8 that should have arrived didn’t..

I was tired and niggly, due no doubt to my getting up at the stupid hour of 0230 this morning.

What a plonker!

Got back to the flat, a lovely few words and a laugh with some tenants in the lobby, but had to leave them to get to the porcelain quickly. I was glad the lift was working again.

I was glad the lift was working again.

Bathroom, kettle on, nosh in the oven.

Laptop on to update this, up to here.

P1020861Got my dinner ready and consumed it with glee..

Seasoned baked beans with black bean sauce, brown sugar and BBQ marinade.

A single easy-cooking session, because I was too tired to bother with owt else. Having been up since 2:30 AM, I was struggling to stay awake.

Rated this 9.6/10.

Took the medications and after trying for a while to read my book but falling asleep repeatedly, I gave up and drifted off.

Inchcock Today Tue 12 Jan 16: Messy day

What’s the difference between a good and a bad Solicitor?

A good Solicitor can drag out a case for years and years

A bad solicitor can make them last longer!

Tuesday 12th January 2016

I woke up at 0255 hrs, wide awake.

Pondered on and hoped that yesterday’s sorting of the solicitor and old house problems will soon be eased.

Got the laptop going and made a cuppa took me medications.

The duodenal ulcer is still playing up. The angina is rather nasty. But Arthur Itis nowhere near so bad… yet. Hehe!

Created some graphics for the Troll Free Zone site and got the posted.

The Wilko order is arriving, well, due to arrive today. I checked with the order tracker, it has not been scanned yet. So I expect it o be delivered late on in the day. So, stuck in the house again!

Did some  Facebooking.

Got myself all pruned, washed and brushed up and called at the Community Shed. Passed some residents who were at the bus-stop as I passed by, gave them some nibbles to eat on the bus.

P1020844Dropped some empty sauce and beetroot jars in the recycle thingymabob on the way back. By the time I’d got back to the flat, the rain stopped.

By the time I’d got back to the flat, the rain had stopped.

Put the radio on, Radio Nottingham, and the weather forecast was on at the time – not good!.

Winds going to rise later, more rain, and a frost tonight, and the wind persisting into Wednesday!

Shame, I’ve got to go out to see Sister Jane tomorrow, to collect the spare house key from Pete. Also, I’ve got to go to the clinic and collect my load of prescription medications from the Chemist on the way back. Blobblecocks, I’m going to get wet and cold methinks! And, get back in time to ring Steve UK to let him know I’ve got the key for him to collect so the plumber can get in to do the work insisted on my the buyer and solicitor – getting het-up again now. Humph!

P1020843Sorted out and made-up some more medications pots.

Put the laptop on and updated this diary.

Then, made a graphic about Solicitors and posted it.

A bit of fun inspired by my ever growing hatred of solicitors, and in particular, mine, FraserBrown.

The Wilko delivered arrived. The gentleman kindly left all five boxes outside my door for me. four of the cartons were large one small, but none of them were particularly heavy.

P1020845I managed to drag them into the hallway – I just hope there isn’t a fire alarm activation.

Struggled a bit, but accomplish what should have been an easy task, and got the into the bedroom out of the way for now.

I opened the smaller one and got out the bits and pieces.

The imitation flower thing I’d took too and bought was not as nice as I expected that it would be, though. Still, it makes a bit of colour P1020847and decoration in the room. I’m still determined to keep it minimal, not overdo owt fancy, and easy to clean.

Thought I’d get rid of the box and the fillings by taking it down to put it outside the caretaker’s room.

BJ rang me from Asda where he was shopping, to inform me they had some of the Spare Rib noodles on offer there at 50p and would I like him to get some for me? I asked him to get 6 pots, at that price, they are £1.09 each at the Co-op store!

He said he’d pop down this afternoon to bring them to me and have a natter, and get the kettle and strong cuppa ready for him. Bless him!.

He remembered how much I like a pot of this flavour for supper sometimes. Down to my last pot in the cupboard well.

Then, I was going to go to the chemist to pick up my prescription to save time tomorrow, but Hey-ho, I can’t have everything.

Back on the laptop.

Read some of the Brian Clough comments book. Then BJ rang to say he can’t get up to see me, he’ll try later in the week. Can’t be helped, just sad that I missed the chance of getting my medications from the chemist to save time tomorrow.

Had a bath and got into me night clobber.

Started to watch a Heartbeat DVD and that was the end of the day for me – drifted off into the land of nod!

Inchcock Today Mon 11 Jan 16: Muddled and Befuddled, Confused and Insanitary! Hehe!

Monday 11th January 2016

01W01

I woke up after a decent kip and dreams, and immediately chanted my mantra; “That today things will be better, pleasant, less hassle and problems will get solved!”

Then, I visited the porcelain. Little Inchy, was not bleeding too bad at all. Anne Gina bothersome, though. The ulcer was playing up a bit, but not as bad as yesterday yet. The reflux valve was poorly a bit later on, too.

Made a cuppa and started the laptop. The green notification came on the screen telling me it needed to restart to install updates. Selected the restart now button.

The green notification came on the screen telling me it needed to restart to install updates. Selected the restart now button.

I read the newspaper from yesterday all the way through.

Two hours later the full green screen telling me it was restarting remained there.

So, I nipped into the kitchen and washed the pots from last evening.

The full green screen was telling me the laptop was restarting remained there.

Three hours later I was well moronic ridden and peed off with this. Frustration grew. Not sure what to do, I force closed the laptop. (With my fingers crossed)

It was taking ages to load.applied for the position of a British Railway Goods Van Guard,

Made another cup of tea and took me medications. Applied for the post of a British Railway Goods Van Guard,

The sign on screen appeared and thus I signed in.

I put the TV on while waiting.

An eon or so later it loaded. With my recent luck, I didn’t get excited about this.

A message came up telling me the Firewall was not active? So I chose one of the options, that was to start the MacAfee Firewall.

It loaded Windows.

Not bad eh? 4.5 hours to get the laptop going; but of course, more problems followed… Google Chrome, the screen appeared, but it would not load my home page. Tried opening WordPress and the same failure.

If I lose the internet, along with all my other hassle, I might nip out and over the balcony.

I had another look at the demands from FraserBrown, the nasty solicitors, had sent me. Decided I do need help with this one, and actually, I prayed Steve would reply to me email pleading for some. And he would be free to come and help me out, again.

The Google Chrome started up and working at last. Phew!

Started this diary off.

Not a good start to the day was it? Humph!

Did some FaceBooking.

Received an email from Steve Age UK. He’s to call to see me at 1600hrs. So by the time he deciphers the messages and demands from the solicitor, it will be too late to call them (FraserBrown) to confirm or question anything.

I watched some episodes of ‘Due South’, to cheer myself up.

P1020841Got the nosh ready, Oven chips and Szynka Gotowana on Baltana sour bread sandwiches.

Made too much, but enjoyed what I managed to eat.

Rated this one at 9.3/10.

The Morrisons delivery arrived. I stored the fodder away.

Fell asleep doing the crossword.

I woke to Steve’s ringing of the internal phone to let me know he’d arrived.

He set to straight away absorbing the letter and questionnaire from FraserBrown.

Afte much searching of my file, I think we found all that was required for the buyers solicitors eight questions to be replied to sufficiently.

P1020842Steve then wrote in the responses on the question form.

He even put the full sheets in an envelope and posted it to me on his way out.

I felt a lot better after we’d spent over an hour studying and responding to the animals… I mean solicitors demands.

Crossed fingers again that we have done it right this time, enough to satisfy them all.

Steve is going to arrange for an Age UK Trusted Plumber to mend the boiler and drain the system of water. This has to be done, to validate the Empty Property insurance ASAP. More Hassle! He would need a key, to give to the plumber to use, and I didn’t have one anymore. So I rang Sister Jane’s Pete and asked if I could fetch the key he kept safe for me tomorrow. No: Tuesday is their shopping day so they will be busy, and they are going out to a concert in the evening.

So I’ll have to go and pick it up on Wednesday morning.

Steve had brought the paperwork from the Budget Insurance I’d just taken out on the old house. All, wait for it… 44 pages!

Seems we need to provide proof of this and forward it to both the solicitor and the insurance company when done. About arranging the boiler repair, water off, etc. The hassle grows!

To the WC, and found myself singing? Good that!

Must remember the Wilko delivery today, no, tomorrow.

Did some crosswords drank much tea then I fell asleep.

Ode about my Solicitors. (Using the term loosely!)

Ode about my Solicitors

01W01

I had, to sell my house, and was recommended to use FraserBrown,

Which has been as pleasant, as when my heart valve broke down,

They asked for items for proof of ID, so I took them to their offices in Town,

I thought they would get better and took it with a frown,

They called to ask for them again, told them I taken them down.

……………………

A letter followed asking for them again, and the next night…

A bloke rang me up; I told him he’s got them at their Nottingham site,

They assured me they now had everything; I was high as a kite,

Until the following weekend, another letter asking again, I was in a plight!

……………………

Another call at their offices and everything would be good I was told again,

They were becoming annoying and rather a bane,

Then they sent complicated paperwork for me to sign again,

And yet letter requesting what I’d took in already – now I felt disdain!

……………………

Next, a mammoth questionnaire for me to fill out,

Demands for me to mend the boiler, list things I know nowt about,

Where are the underground sewers? Four pages of it to fill out,

Planning permission needed? FENSA certificate? I’m getting the runabout!

…………………….

Fitted units? Light fittings? Outdoor area? Access? – I cannot cope,

I’ve asked Steve from Age, can he help and give me some hope?

No answer from him yet, I’ll get none or soft soap,

I cannot handle this angst, suppose I’m a bit of a dope,

Rather than deal with these people, I’d prefer a Cystoscope!

The End (Is nigh).

No Solicitors were harmed in any way during the creation of this crap Ode. (Shame!)

Inchcock Today: Sun 10 Jan15: Down a bit

Not a good day, humph!

******************

Sunday 10th January 2016

Dreams like never before, none of them made the least sense or seemed to have any connection with life as it is, or was? I was in a coffin with an old Atari ST computer at one time, winding up a generator for light and heat? Then I was picking maggots out my rotting leg and eating them?

Woke as fully depressed as I have for years now – self-pity and fear seemed to have taken over my psyche this morning.

Add to that the bleeding from the rear and Little Inchy had started again.

Anne Gina was giving me far too much jip. So much, I took my last under-tongue lozenge.

The ulcer joined in attacking me with venom. Only Arthur Itis was going easy on me this morning.

Stiffness and aching in the elbow and hand joints were bothersome, something new this.

I feel so different to yesterday morning when I woke with hope and faith things were going better for me… Foolish me!

I made a cuppa and took my medications.

Unable it seems to free myself from the worry and fretting over the turn of events with the FraserBrown demands, and how to get things sorted and help.

I finished the last diary and started this one.

Feeling morose and not being able to shake it off.

To be honest, I’m a bag of nerves. Twitching, fretting and nervous about and at, anything today.

I’ll try to have a bath later. Sort out blood matted Little Inchy and the haemorrhoids. Try to shake me out of this mean spirit level draining lethargy.

I did some Facebooking on the Troll Free Zone. May nice comments received from the members. I’m afraid I felt a little less enthusiastic than normal. Due to the solicitors demands, questionnaires and jobs I have to sort and get done on the old house – no idea what or how to do any of them, can’t hear folk on the phone, or understand some of the questions from the buyers solicitor. Only Steve Age UK can help, and he won’t get my email requesting support until Monday, if then. I’m depressed.

P1020835Had a good soak in the bath and readied the washing for the laundry room.

Took the rubbish bags and threw them down the chute on the way.

Did my crossword book while I was waiting in the lobby.

Went in to swap the clothes into the dryer.

P1020834A bloke kept hauling some stuff outside from one of the flats.

The frail lady told me later; they were going to live in Scotland.

When the dryer got going, I departed and had a walk up through Woodthorpe Park and down into Sherwood, to get some bits of fodder.

P1020836Not that I needed any, but when I feel down, I tend to shop a lot!

The trees on the way up the path looked picturesque despite their lack of colour.

Once at the top of the hill and part way down the footpath, I took a photo of the landscape to the North, across the field.

P1020837The shadows produced a rather naughty looking shape on the grass. Hehe!

There were not many doggies being walked today.

Mind you, it was very cold despite the sunshine.

Called in the Co-op store and bought a paper, Meat and potato pie and some milk.

P1020838 P1020839Made my way back up and over the hill and down to the gates into the Woodthorpe Grange Park and up the footpath.

A lot more people in the park on y way back.

There was a pavement cyclist; well, footpath cyclist zooming down the incline as I walked up it.

Swine!

Plenty more dogs with their tails wagging for me to enjoy watching.

To the top and right down the gravel footpath and back to the apartments.

P1020840The frail lady from the 11th floor was having a sit in the foyer.

I gave her some nibbles and asked her to smile for her photo bless her.

The dryer finished shortly, and I got me clothes folded in the bag.

As I started up the lift to the flat, the current frustrations came back into my mind, and gloom descended on me.

Got some nosh ready. Didn’t feel much like eating though, so only had a little meal.

Put the togs away, and washed the pots.

I felt like a cloud was following me around.

Ordered some drawers from Wilko to be delivered Tuesday, and some stuff from Morrison’s for tomorrow.

Fell asleep woke up took my medications and flaked out again.

Glad to give my mind a rest from the fretting while I slept.

Feeling drained and haggard each of the many times I sprang awake.

Inchcock Today: Sat 9 Jan 2016: It started so well – ended with me disconsolate downhearted and depressed… badly depressed.

01W01

******************

Saturday 9th January 2016

Despite all the jumping awake I did, I must have gotten a good six hours kip in last night!

That is not the only pleasant surprise this morning either:

  1. To the bathroom to find, although stinging a bit, Little Inchy had not bled at all!
  2. The haemorrhoids were not bleeding at all!
  3. Found some notes I’d written on my pad about a dream, and I could read some of my writing!
  4. I stubbed my toes on the pedestal and unbelievably felt no pain? This one confused me a lot.

Made a cuppa and took my medications.

It was good to remember and have notes of a dream to record.

The Dream: I got a job in a massive sprawling factory and had to find the manager on my first day. The place was a mishmash of machines all type of tools. Some of them that I worked on years ago when I worked at Carters pop factory. I could smell the place I’m sure.

I walked through the different machine rooms asking everyone if they could point me to where he (The boss) was. Each bloke pointed to a different place or area or building.

I think I had to see him at 0600hrs to start work, and it was now dinnertime and the men broke off for lunch.

I wandered around the now-empty factory in search of the boss.

Climbed ladders, down stairways, in through doors and machinery without any luck for hours it seemed. I recalled thinking how long their dinner break was?

I came across a bloke under a machine working away whistling and asked him where the boss was. He climbed out from under the Doboy machine, looked around and swore, cursing his mates not telling him lunchtime had started? He pointed to a trap door in the floor, and told me to jump into it; that takes me to the bosses office?

So I thanked him and opened the trapdoor. Down I dived.

Suddenly I was in the countryside, the beautiful countryside too. Rolling hills, fantastic greenery and trees.

I spotted a large group of men walking on the dangerous narrow footpath on the outside of a hill come mountain. I don’t know how, but I was suddenly at their side on the path high up in the sky. The man looked like Michael Elphick from the Boon TV series. He was sending one of the blokes to fetch his spanner to him from the factory. When I introduced myself he gruffly said; “Okay you can fetch it mush. It’s in the top office, and don’t dawdle about!”.

Instantly I was back in the factory complex. Can’t recall all that happened but I did find the office after much hassle and annoyances. It was at the top of a winding wooden staircase they told me. But on and on I went up the stairs without finding it?

The note I’d written had the following written on them that I cannot decipher. “Woman, surprise – happy”? Damned memory won’t let me recall what this was about. Tsk!

Damned memory won’t let me recall what this was about. Tsk!

I wish I knew a dream-reader.

IMG_0007Then did some Facebooking for a good while.

The winds had dropped, and the rain stopped.

Did some graphic work, and began to sing to myself?

Cleaned the kitchen floor.

Cleaned the kitchen floor. Still humming away, merrily to myself. Worrying this, it is usually a portent of hassle and bother me being content.

A letter came through the box after I’d finished.

IMG_0008Guess what? It was from the solicitors. Every letter I’ve had from them, and there have been many; all arrived on Saturday same as this one did; Just when I cannot contact anyone for help and assistance. Huh!

Eight questions to answer in reply to the buyers concerns? A questionnaire on Light Fittings, eleven responses needed.

A questionnaire on Light Fittings, eleven answers needed.

A questionnaire on fitted units with twelve bits to fill in about them.

A questionnaire about outdoor areas with twelve muti-answer questions.

I’m not singing anymore.

I Emailed Steve Age UK begging for help on this problem.

Why all these queries now? Are FraserBrown drawing things out on purpose to get more cash? I’m genuinely worried now that the deal may not go through!

Ruined the weekend now. Crapola!

Every time I get feeling in better spirits something comes to knock me down into worry and frustration again.

I was going to tell you about the wonderful last words of Gregory Камеры, a convicted Russian serial murderer.

But I’ve lost interest now this hassle has appeared.

I also emailed Sister Jane and told her. Which I shouldn’t have done really.

Depression took over; self-pity lurked, and I sat doing nothing but wanting to stop my mind battling with itself over the new problems.

Steve will not get the email until Monday, and how long it will take him to reply and find time to get to see me is anyone’s guess.

Moross and morbid now, I do so hate feeling like this.

Inchcock Today Fri 8 Jan 16: Got out a bit anyway – nodding off is becoming a habit again. Tsk!

01W01

******************

Friday 8th January 2016

I had a decent nights kip. Reckon I got a good 6 hours in last night.

I stirred around 0445 hrs and lay thinking of yesterday’s hassle and what needed doing today.

P1020829The tenancy interview seemed to go well yesterday. I got the living room sorted a bit more, although the Whoopsiedangleplop I could have done without happening! Hehe!

Getting there slowly.

Hobbled to the bathroom porcelain to be pleasantly surprised with several things: The haemorrhoids were not bleeding at all, the blotches on the legs seemed to be fading a bit and not so sore. The angina was nowhere near as bad as of late. And; Little Inchy had bled only the tiniest bit!

Looking good this morning. Mind you, the bruise on my hip where I fell off me walking stick yesterday was a bit tender!

Got the kettle on and made a cuppa, took my morning medications, and even remembered to put my midday pot of them in the bag ready for when I would be out and about. I hope!

The rain had stopped but the wind was still high. You watch it; I bet when I go out later to catch the bus, the rain starts?.

Started the laptop and finalised the Thursday diary and posted it.

Started this one, and then checked the emails and went on Facebook.

Got a shave and did me teggies, had a good bath then doctored Little Inchy, the knees, lesions and back passage.

Rubbish bags to the chute.

Called in the Community Shed and gave the girls a loaf of dough bread. .

Back to the foyer and met some other residents, who for some reason were not their usual cheery selves.

Caught the bus into town. Did some crosswords when en route.

01W02Dropped off and walked over roadway through the walk-over and tooketh a photo of below.

It might look nice and sunny, but it was damned cold this morning.

I wandered through Victoria Centre Mall and called in Jessops, no, it’s John Lewis’s now. Had a search to see if they had any recliners on at Sale price.

01W03I spotted a few large ones, too big to get into the flat probably. But the cheapest one was £4000 plus!

This smaller one in the photo in an exquisite brown was on offer at £699.

I took to it straight away and had a sit in it.

Comfort wise it was almost perfect.

Unfortunately, it was a little too low for me I’m afraid.

I nearly had to get some help to get out of it. Hehe!

01W04I walked into the City Centre and got a TV paper from a shop, then over the Slab Square.

They were finishing clearing the Winter Wonderland.

The Christmas tree was about the last thing waiting to be removed.

I went into a bookshop and bought a cheapo book. ‘Famous Last Words and Astonishing Epitaphs’. Might be interesting, I could use some on my leader for the diaries perhaps?

Up to the bus stop and caught the L9 bus.

01W05As the bus passed the Ice Stadium place, there wee hundreds of ankle snappers queuing for something or other.

So many approaching it stopped the traffic for a while.

Just managed to avoid nodding off this time, and got off at the right stop at the flats.

There was no call for the WC when I got in the apartment? Then I put the kettle on.

Put the kettle on and cleaned some bits I’d brought in on my shoes from the carpet.

Made a cuppa and took my midday medications a bit late mind.

Got some potato cubes cooking in the oven, and started this update.

Sausages and potato cakes ready to add later, hopefully, they will all be available at the same time.

It’s cold in here today. Got an Iceland order coming between 1500 and 1700hrs, so can’t put me jammies and dressing gown on yet to keep warm.

IMG_0006The nosh, all done in the same oven dish (Apart from the beans done in the saucepan), I timed right for once, and it was deliciousWatched a DVD while I ate me nosh.

One of me best meals ever I think, maybe I was in the right mood?

Rated it 9.65/10.

The Iceland delivery came, no paperwork to check the provisions against.

That’s me well stocked up with food again then! Took the evening medications.

Cleaned the pots and into the chair, started to watch another DVD of ‘Goodnight Sweetheart’; I was off into the land of nod within minutes.

I sprang wide-awake around midnight. Made a cuppa, but didn’t get to drink it as I nodded off again.

Once more I awoke with a start. Memories fresh from a dream I’d been having, so I got up and scribbled some details on my pad. I hope I could read them in the morning when I try to transcribe them.

TTFN all.
