03:10hrs. I was up and out of the £300 second-hand, c1968. grotty-beige coloured rickety recliner, got my balance and was using the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket) and taking, or relieving myself via an LHBLWWs (Long-Hosepipe-Blasting-like Wee-wee), all within a couple of minutes. Standing up for the first time reminded me of last nights toe-stubbing when the pain greeted me! Also, the variety of wee-wee that returned yesterday was continuing this morning! Phwoar!
Got the hand-washing done and put yesterdays on the dryers.
I shot off to the wet room for a painful Porcelain Throne session.
After thankfully a quick evacuation, I had another search for the Sample return envelope – with the usual result, failure!
Then, I got the computer on, and as I made my way to take some pictures out of the balcony, I had to utilise the already half-filled grey bucket, again. Now, it was an LHNCWW (Long-Hosepipelike-No-Sensation-Wee-wee). Washed up, and got back to the balcony, with the stick in hand, for a photographicalisationing session of the sky and lowered view.
Hobbling my way back in from the unwanted light & view blocking balcony with so many windows to clean but no access and flesh removing metal spring opening devises that need pressing the spring and pulling at the same time. (Cor blimey. the toe was stinging now!) I took another unintended blurry picture of the utility (bedroom, lost items haven, toe-stubbing domain, dining room, tea drinking zone, sock-glide and ankle strapping applying surgery, Office, TV lounge and walking stick, pens etc. absconding area) room. Haha!
I got the oven on low heat, so that later when I do the cheesy potatoes, it will heat up to temp quicker. And got a few Anya potatoes in the slow-cooker on low.
Checked the t-shirt and socks and moved them to aid with the drying process.
Made a start on updating the Friday post. Inconceivably, the flipping electric-like dancing started in the right-hand fingers, arm, and shoulder the moment I began typing! I’ve never had it so bad or for so long. Hours it lasted. More time was spent, or lost, redoing and amending the flood of errors I kept on and on making! I got a stage where I thought about giving up with the blog altogether, so frustrating it was!
Nearly 09:00hrs, at last, I got it finished, not confident that is is right, though, even after I made a mug of tea and had a thoughtful self-pity session. Things like yesterday, I had to go to the Chemist about the beta-blocker shortage – no one is willing to help me with it. It also took me a whole day to do the task! Now, I have to go to the doctor’s on Monday and beg for some more Bisoprolol Fumarate, then go to the chemist to pick them up, another day lost! And the normal as was, hobble to the surgery take around 40 minutes, now after the stroke, and with the saprogenous leg ulcer and the peripheral neuropathy, it takes me well over an hour for the same journey. I looked up the symptoms at this stage, out of interest: damage to the nerves that carry messages of touch, temperature, pain and other sensations to the brain and damage to the nerves that control movement. That sounds about right. Thank heavens that Duodenal Donald, Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis and Kidney Kevin are not joining in!
But the medics, because I have the stroke, are not seemingly interested it these problems any more? I’m just told that nothing can be done about it. Or is it me?
The hearing aid farce, I’ve been without them for six weeks now, and it will be another two weeks before the hearing aids are examined, and another five-six weeks before the new moulds are made!
Fifteen weeks since I saw the chiropodist, who will no longer treat me or even cut the toenails due to my “Many issues!”
The lost cancer sample envelope, struggling with my one love, blogging, the finger bleeding this morning where I cut it on the damned metal spring opening on the new unwanted balcony window, stubbing my toe every day it seems… but eventually I stopped these pathetic little moans, and went for a wee-wee.
Emptying and sanitising the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket), can be very therapeutic. Hehehe!
I hope that the psychopannychism lot is wrong. Imagine being forced to come back with the same ‘issues’? Arghh!
For some unascertained and mystery to me, reason, I shook off the sad self-pitying quatsch and got on with creating this Inchcock Today, with a little more enthusiasm. It helped that at last, the finger dancing had eased off a bit, of course. For which I felt grateful in the extreme! But knowing they will return. Thus the frustration!
I seem to have lost my catagelophobia today?
I am proud to announce that I went to shell the pod peas, and, no fibbing here, I only lost one pea! It shot up and rebounded off of something, came down and hit my nose and ricochetted to heaven know where.
I got the potatoes in the oven.
I got around to looking at the email that Sister Jane had sent me. She’d bought this in the Victoria market the other day. I had to smile! Humph!
Got the spuds out and bashed them up well with extra sharp cheddar cheese, onion salt and a bit of Lurpac butter.
I then went on the TFZer Facebooking to catch up.
Then I tackled sorting out Josie’s cheesy potato Saturday meal.
It was fortunate timing today when I delivered the meal. Josie was just getting back from the laundry room, so it was good and hot when she got it.
Two filled extra buttered cheesy potato husks this week without any vinegar, well, a change is as good as a rest, they say. (Well someone did!) Brown and yellow tomatoes, a pickled egg, some Anya potatoes, gherkins and tuna chunks. Orange jelly with mandarins in, and a lemon iced slice. I do hope she enjoys it!
I’d forgot to take Josie the coke and whisky, so nipped to hand it to her, and she was going out in a hurry, she said she would return the tray and plate etc. when she gets back, and collect the can of coke treat then. I hope she is not back too late, and I have fallen asleep.
Then back to computerisationing for a while. Longer than my disbursed brain could cope with. I kept checking on the fodder, and soon, the computer was put to rest and recover (Haha!), and the nosh was prepared.
I had the last of the Nordic Style Bacon, cheesy baked potatoes, Anya potatoes, gherkins, mixed tomatoes, and the gorgeous fresh pod peas. I think I may have out a little too much butter in the potatoes, but they were still lovely tasting, just not up to my usual standard (Hehe!)
I pot of Limoncello and some soring water with orange cordial added, to finish the feast off with. A Flavour-Rating of 8.8/10, given.
I now had to say awake if I could, ready for Josies return. I put the TV on, and channel hopped looking for programmes with subtitles on them, so I didn’t have to use the headphones and could still hear the door chimes when Josie gets back.
Surprisingly, I drank all of the spring water and went to get some more.
While the kettle warmed up, I took this picture from the unwanted, light & view blocking, unreachable for cleaning, new kitchen window. With its wide ledge that prevents viewing downwards, without the use of the stepladders, which when in use, always seems to bring on a the scary peripheral neuropathy inspired leg dancing, and usually involves me falling off of the steps and getting injured.
I’ve logged up a few Accifauxpas over this year since the windows were fitted, especially since returning home after the stroke. Ranging from stubbed-toes, falling off the Porcelain Throne, and tripping up, ending up on the floor. All thanks to either the Axonotmesis or Peripheral Neuropathy activity. Not that anyone is interested. Sorry about that, another little grumbling session sneaked into the diary here. Humph!
Anyway, I did fall asleep, and Josie returned, she always presses both of the chimes though, and without the headphones on, I heard her ringing. I got up, but having been laid down for two or three hours, Arthur Itis and the balance made it difficult for me to get to the door. I think Josie saw me struggling with the stick, and she took the tray and implements through to the kitchen for me, bless her. She said I must be trying to fatten her up! Haha! She added she enjoyed the nosh, and a natter ensued, then she went back to her apartment.
As I turned to go back to my utility room, I saw the can of Whisky and Coke. Bother, I’d forgotten to give it to Josie. So I nipped and rang Josie’s door-bell, and handed it to her.
When I got back down in the £300 second-hand rickety recliner, any chance of sleep coming quickly had been lost. The earlier nod-off, then getting up had disorientated the old body-clock, I think. So the headphones went on (hoping there would not be an unheard fire alarm go off), and some crap on TV was watched. Which used to help me nod-off, but not tonight. Ah-well!
