Bosnian: Utorak 14 Decembar 2019

22:35hrs: I woke, to the sound of the dreaded ‘Hum’, and the rain belting against the balcony windows. It was coming through the many gaps in the windows. And dribbling down onto and underneath the wooden slatted base. Where is was gelling with the many fallen from the plastering, powder and crumbs already fallen. Much of it disappearing underneath the slats. I was strangely interested in this and lay watching for a while. My imagination saw the mess under all of the balconies was getting heavier, and eventually, the weight would cause the collapse of a few of them. I knew if this happened, I would be the one on the balcony at the time. Probably, I’d be unlucky enough to survive and have even more pain and pissed-offedness. Then the thought of the upcoming struggle to get an appointment at the Doctors lingered for a few seconds. Then I was annoyed at needing a wee-wee, meaning IO need to get my hog-like, but wobbly body free of the £300 second-hand rickety recliner.
The odd mood I woke-up in; meant an end to my moments of uhtceare. With klebenleiben, and clinomania shaken-off, a sort of semi-coherence returned to the brain, and I rose up; onto my feet. Grabbed the stick, and hobbled into the wet room. While I was waiting for the LRWS (Long-Reluctant-Weak-Sprinkly) wee-wee to finish, it occurred on me, that Duodenal Donald, Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna were all in a good mood with me! Nice!
Off to the kitchen, and turning the light on, the effulgent lighting seemed to piss-off Saccades Sandra, and an inner cascade of jumping colours and unfocussed kitchen parts flashed around. I had to stop where I was until it got less bothersome before moving on. Yet this did not start off Dizzy Dennis at all? No matter, I was pleased about that. I got the kettle on, moved the handwashing onto the airer, took the morning medications and made the brew. Then I gave Arthur Itis’s knees a good rub with the Phorpain gel, maybe it didn’t need it with the joints not playing up, but I thought it an intelligent decision anyway.
Back to the wet room for a heavy-duty evacuation. Oh, dearie me! Bloody, painful and messy. Back to normal then. Haha!

I got on the computer to update the Friday Inchcock Today diary and found that the fingers were giving my mini-quiverings and making typing work very difficult. Ever correcting. But I had no choice other than to keep pressing on. I eventually got it done and posted off to WordPress.
Then went on the TFZer Facebooking. Made a brew and had a look at the current state of the nation, electorally. Not what one would have wanted, but there you are. A lot more results to come in yet, I think.

Thoughts turned to jentacular desires. So I made another brew and had two mint-biscuits. Ah, the good life. Hahaha!
Then I had a look at the WordPress Reader. Then rechecked on the voting.

I had a go at getting some graphics done for the next template. I only got one done, then had to get the ablutions done.

Just a thought, but they used to make use of a machine (1906 -1907) for automatically recording votes, a psephograph (1906 -1907). Too reliable, maybe?

I’ll get a clean up then. Back in a bit. I took a snap of the cold outside view. Peaceful looking, idyllic too. Huh!
Well, I had to utilise the Porcelain throne first. No discomfort and no bleeding. The dropsies were not too many (he says trying not to tell you how many), the sock-glide was accident-free! Afterwards, when I was all polished and perfumed ready for dressing, could I find my £2 wristwatch with the £10 strap and £15 battery? I took me ages, so long, I thought I might need another shave by the time I found the watch! Haha!
Checked the flat, flapped about, lights, taps etc. looked over. I took the back bags with me to the waste chute when I departed along with the white bag for the recycling bin.
I got down and to the Obersturmbannfhreress, ILC Wardens Control Room and Holding Cell, nibbles issued, and out to the big Winwood Social room. I accepted a few put-downs from Welsh William and had a natter. Moving through the link corridor to the Winchester Court lobby, and waited there along with some other tenants, to avoid the rain, until the bus arrived. The wind and rain greeted us as we left to get to the shelter as the buses came.
I had a go on the crosswording en route. Dropping off on Upper Parliament Street. The rain still with us. Straight into the Poundland World, to get some Dettol Lavender and toilet blocks and have a look around. Taking a photograph of the thousands of bits of chewing gum all over the pavement. Humph!
I came out of the store, after being given help on the self serve checkouts, by a kind assistant. The card would not work, and I could not remember the number. Humph! With the trolley and carrier bag holding: Dettol brown (no lavender available). A Pork Farms pork pie, Bloo toilet blocks, Mouthwash and some Orange digestive biscuits (which I had to battle to get from the top shelf, but they are my favourite chocolate biscuits, so I went through pain to attain them. Haha!). Paid cash, thanked the lady for her help, and left.
Out onto Parliament Street in the rain, again.

This chaps driving skill left me shuddering. Foot down and forward, scattering pedestrians!

Nottinghamian pedestrians cross against the lights!

Nottinghamian pedestrians cross against the lights!

Nottinghamian pedestrians cross against the lights!
The chewing gum on Clumber Street, where I took some of the above photographs from, sheltered a little from the wind, also had thousands of chewing gum blobs on it. That is if they are discarded masticated bits chewing gum? I assume that is what they are? But I’m not sure.
I limped down Clinton Street, observing the expressions. Thus, the mood of the Nottinghamian shop-lifters, muggers, pick-pockets, illegal immigrants, students, drug-pushers, alcoholics, house-breakers, uninsured car owners, TWOCers and the TWOCed, Benefit cheats… Sorry, got carried away there! Anyway, it seemed to me, that there was a general feeling on their mushes, of resignation, acceptance of the inevitable, and a touch of euphobia, perhaps?
Down along Long Row and onto Wheeler Gate. To try to find some lavender Dettol at the Poundland store on there. I took this dismal photo of the appallingly messy looking Slab Square, and South Parade. The mood was becoming depressive around the area, and my EQ told me to be wary. Nothing happened, but I put myself in Defence and Desticated mode.
At the self-serve tills, a really kind lady put the things through for me, (she was on duty the last time when I got the sensory nerve-ends problems and kept dropping things, which didn’t endear me to the waiting in the queue, shoppers behind me!). I managed surprisingly to remember the card number! I came out with; Sliced wholemeal cobs, Lavendar Dettol,
and mushroom pate. I made sure I told the lady that I appreciated her help, and off out into the rain and increasingly nasty wind outside.
I hobble across the market, and up Queen Street onto Upper Parliament Street, and took this photograph towards the Victoria Centre shopping centre (mall).
As I turned to go back down Queen Street, the skies darkened threateningly. No one was at the bus shelter waiting. I got myself underneath the cover of the plastic overhang. A lady joined me, and she was concerned about the L9 being late. As I was explaining about the bus always being late on this run, due to the changeover of
drivers. The bus arrived to make me a liar! Hehe!
I had a failed go at the crosswording on the way back. I believe I was the only person to get off of the bus at Winwood Heights.
And it was into the most horrendously high winds I’ve ever suffered. Just getting to the door was a battle to stay on my feet. Luckily the bus stop is now close to Winchester Court, and I entered their lobby and walked through the link passages back to Woodthorpe Court. As I got in my own lift lobby, the warmth of the new Winwood Court was replaced with a colder, drafty Woodthorpe one!

Up to the flat, and took an INHBT (I-needn’t-have-bothered-trickling) wee-we. I came out of the wet room and saw a note had been put through the letterbox. Oh, Damn! Again, I’d just missed the phlebotomy nurse by five minutes! But no guilt lingered for once. No one had told me when she was due! I had not received any Notification of what my last test results or what the new doses should be! Not from the Sherwood Medical Practice, nor the Anticoagulation Haemostasis and Deep Vein Thrombosis Clinic either! BPAFMPOM (Beyond-Pathetic-and-Feeble-Minded-Pissed-off-Mode) engaged)
I was in a depression now.
I put the receipts on the computer to use in the morning to update. Got the nosh done. Made some pate and tomato sarnies, the last of the open garden peas and beetroot. As if to point out my change in luck, I took a photo of the plate of fodder. It seems to have drifted off into the ether when I put the images on in the morning! Grumph!
I felt sickened with missing the blood nurse, especially as it was not my fault, but I know I’ll get blamed! The Desticate from my EQ, now becomes clear, why!
Depressed, enervated, annoyed and spiritually incapacitated, I forced myself to do the washing up and handwashing.
Got down in the recliner, and mentally stewed for ages. Sour, bitter, frustrated and gloomy.
So, no change there, then!

paperwork that came with it was ridiculously small! I put the glasses next to them in this photograph, so you can see the size, or lack of size, of the font, used! The new keyboard letters show you how minuscule the printed matter really was! Impossible to read at all! But the advice given me from my cyber-mate in New Mexico was consulted. The thing to plug into the computer was a bit much for the old fart, and I just did not know which hole it should go into!

I pressed on with the blogging. But, no time for any graphicalisationing yet, time to get the ablutionalisationing done.
Great photo’s, taken by their daughter Debbie. Got me feeling a touch sad at my not seeing them for real, but glad to see them doing well.
Then, half-way along Chestnut Walk in the rain, I was getting sodden wet through and chickened out of going on the hobble. I told Jane, we said our farewells and I got back inside, through the Winwood Court entrance, along the link passage, and into Woodthorpe Court. Up to the flat, and dried off! More stuff on the airers to dry!
The Aldi smoked chicken slices were great. Tomatoes a little bland, but then again, they are out of season and Spanish so what should I have expected. The garden peas with demerara sugar were superb tasting. The beetroots well cooked and not too hard. The Morrison Cox’s apples were bruised and soft though. The cheesy-spuds were okay, but I’d not mixed them enough

While in the wet room, I gave Arthur Itis’s knees a good rubbing with the Phorpain Gel, even though he was not giving much hassle, I thought this was an empirically wise decision. (Arthur can be so changeable, Haha!) I believe my doing this energetic applying, seem to have brought a bit of colour back into the legs, too. The varicose, tibial and spider veins. The clopidogrel maculations were all hiding away under the skin? Indeed, the legs looked almost normal!

I just had to abandon the computerisationing, and went and got the handwashing done.
ended up (Luckily as it turns out) going over and landing on the black bags! Which broke my fall, and kept me out of the water a bit. Gorrit all done and sorted, and felt pretty good at coping with it.
I decided to get the peas seasoned with salt and demerara sugar and into the saucepan.
dangerous and tin and flesh-tearing qualities, tin-opener!
Back along the Winwood Court part of the link-passage, and out of the warmth, through the end swipe door, into the chilly, nae, twas a cold Woodthorpe Court lift lobby.
I had another check on the Amazon Tracker. Not that I want it in a hurry or anything, just nice to know so that I can plan the meal.
I had to turn off all the pans on the stove, or the food would have been burnt by the time I get around to preparing and eating it. It still might be.
I got down to the serious task of preparing and serving the nosh. It proved to be worth all the extra washing up. And, I got the seasoning right for once. A Flavour Rating of 9.2 for this one! The the Maple BBQ Pork Loin Steaks tasted just great, spot-on! Mushrooms and garden peas, beetroot and the potatoes all good. Even the Spanish slicing tomatoes were juicy. (Bit of a surprise there!)
Washed-up, and settled in the £300 second-hand recliner, to watch some TV.

g. Got carried away and the time is flying by after the bad start. Thank you, Mr Fries!
I joined the huddle of Winwoodonians at the shelter, as the buses were due to arrive. Luckily they were both a couple of minutes late. The Arnold-bound bus arrived, and 90% of the gang got on this one. The City-bound one came afterwards, and we piled on it. I only rode up
the hill for about three bus stops and got off near Woodborough Road. I got off and walked along to the Aldi store. The sun was intense but had no heat with it this afternoon.
As I was going into the shop, I had a dizzy spell again. Getting a bit regular these are, Mmm!
There may be a clue as to the problems like this. I was going downhill, looking down when this took place? The same last month, with the falls, although in the flat. I was looking down both times when I toppled forwards and onto the deck?
Another mystery photograph I found on the SD card. Taken I think, on Mapperley Rise?
A lot of bumph had been posted while I was out. As I bent to pick them up (the picker stick has broken, a new one needed desperately – but who keeps forgetting – Inchcock does, the fool!), it occurred to me, I was stooping and reaching out, and no signs of any Dizzy Dennis bother? This pu
zzled me, as I bet it will the medics, too!
garden peas adding demerara sugar).
Added the evening doses of medications, and a swig of the ineffective, wishy-washy, impuissant medicines.

Well, if ever I deserved a few moments of Inner-Smugness, it was after doing the ablutionalisationing! It went amazingly well! Dropsies, only four, toothbrush, razors (2) and unfortunately, a bottle of disinfectant when I was cleaning up afterwards, and it split open (plastic bottle). But no bother to clean up, although it was too early to use the shower cause of the noise. So I took water from the sink and rinsed it away, and dried the liquid with paper towels, using my left foot. So I didn’t have to go down on my knees and get stuck down there again. (No nurses to come to save and rescue me today, Haha!) No teeth-cleaning cuts, no shaving cuts! Little Inchies fungal lesion was not bleeding! Fair enough, I did get the odd bruise out of the Sock-Glide usage!
le short natter – but I’d not the hearing-aids in, so I’m not sure what we spoke about, but he laughed, so I did, as he departed. I took the bags one at a time into the kitchen and put the kettle on again, and took a photo of the delivery after I’d emptied the packages, and laid the nosh out, then realised there was no paperwork or email with details to check if anything is missing or not with? Ah, well! Here are some snaps I took of the products I purchases, including some luxury items for Julie and myself.

I had a quick bash on the TFZer Facebook site, before getting Josie’s dinner cooked. Chickpeas in tomato-puree and passata. Two pieces of smoked Haddock, beetroot, cheesy-potatoes, sliced tomatoes, crispy onions, mushrooms and a Limoncello dessert, with a few nibbles, and a Black Tomato for her to have later in the week. Oh, and a can of Gin & Tonic. We had a quick natter and she let me take the photograph as I delivered the meal.
Out, down in the lift, along through the snuggly-warm link-passage, and into the new, heated, rubber floored, gleamingly clean elevator, and up to the fourth floor. I like the commanding voice of the lift messages in these lifts, I can’t understand a word she is saying, but the tone is enough. Hehe!
Back down in the lift, and then along the warm snug people-less link-corridor, back to the cold Woodthorpe Court lift lobby. It looks a little eerie in this picture. The lights are the motion-activated type.
I got the washing up done first (saucepans, oven-dish, spatulas etc.) after serving it up, again because I felt I was soon going to drift off into the land of nod! No handwashing, too tired! Garden peas, with demerara sugar and salt, smoked haddock, beetroots and black tomatoes. I put one on the tray so you can what they look like. Really a different taste, almost meaty.

The Carrington Chemist who the Medicines management lady Leoni had phoned on Wednesday morning to arrange for the Furesomide water tablets to be delivered in packets, not the bubble-blisters, has not done so! They are in the blister packs. I took a photo of them, to show how alike the tablets are, Codeine 30g, Furesomide and the Bisoprolol Beta-blockers. I have the hardest job in picking which one is the water tablet, to throw away when not needed. I reckon on a few occasions, mainly on bad pain, or shake hand mornings, I’ve dished the wrong pill, and missed either a painkiller or beta-blocker! This is not good! And only served to make me feel even worse than when I woke-up! Crabs and Grobblecraps! In fact, Grumble, Sodit & Blast, as well! I just threw the medicines onto any draw, willy-nilly

No Accifauxpas or WHoopsiedangleplops encountered while making the brew! And back to the computer. Swank-Mode-Adopted!
Done in now, shattered, I’ve had my chips, well I haven’t, but I made the meal and had some. Dagwood cobs, beetroot and chips etc. sounds good to me. But it was not to be eaten.
I was so tired now but fought off the weariness and mental-fatigue, when I noticed the house that had been being modernised for months, extensions, new roof etc. appeared to be occupied again. Seasonal lights adorned the front of the house and bushes.

On a cheerier note, when I got the medications and medicines out to take, I was over-the-moon when I found I had not missed imbibing the evening dosages! At last, I’d gorrit right for once! Somewhat of a victory there for me, after going for about three or four nights and forgetting to take them every night! Smug-Mode-Adopted!
The ablutions went well. With only four dropsies. Oh yes! Razor (2), Carbolic soap and the toothbrush!
I dressed in warm clothing and took the black bags to the waste-chute, returned to the flat and collected the large recycling bag, and took it down with me on the way out.
The drizzle was still falling lightly. I proceeded in an easterly direction (Haha!), and with no one in the ILC’s Holding and Interview room, I went to have a go at the crossword in the big Winwood Socialisational room. I greeted John ‘Herbert’ as I passed him, and ensconced myself on a snug corner and got the crossword book out. I was sat in a high chair, more comfortable to get out of you know! Neighbour young, fit, rich, good-looking Malcolm (I hate him, Hehehe!) spoke, I gave him his little Christmas treat, Jack Daniels & Coke. Many folks walked by me, but being in the corner, they did not spot me or hear my ‘Good Morning’s’. At least I hope it was that, and not my B.O. Haha!
Up the hill, I wobbled and found myself passing the shop that used to be a Tesco that I worked at in 1962ish. The memories flooded back, it was most likely the happiest times for me, working and finding romance there. It had been a Sex Shop for a long time, but I noticed it was now a Charity shop.
told my farewells and continued up Goosegate to Stoney Street, and down in search of some Street Art to picture.
shooting perhaps? So, I turned around to go back to Goosegate. I spotted this Magpie on a mould covered window ledge. The sad bit, bing the sign relating the For Sale of the freehold property. I checked on the web later, out of no [particular interest, on the price. But it just said Sale By Tender. Bet the Magpie’s not bothered either! Hehehe!
I called at the Oriental Mart store on Heathcoat Street, to get some more of the Sukang Puti vinegar and some of the salted peanut brittle nibbles. I found the peanuts quickly and spent a long time searching for the vinegar. After much wandering around and having to of different ways to get through. Because of a lack of room to get the walker through with me, I found a similar flavouring. Chinese Distilled vinegar, it had the same high-acidity of 5% as the Indonesian one does, so I bought it. And that was that, all my shopping for the day, two items! No cause for any smugness, though. Cause I’ve got an Ocado delivery coming on Sunday morning. With Thompson and Glengettie Gold teabags, I never want to run out of them again! And some green tomatoes as a treat for myself for Christmas!
Up over the hill and down Pelham Street towards Clumber Street and the Slab Square. I noticed a distinct atmosphere from the Nottinghamians today. Finding the right words for it is not easy. An antsiness, nervousness, a sense that anything could explode or erupt at any time? And the Christmas rides, stalls and food outlets on the fayre, were not doing much
trade at all, despite it being lunchtime.
Then, down Queen Street, to the L9 bus stop.
corridor to the large Social area in Winwood Court, and to the ILC Warden’s holding and interrogation office. Handed out some nibbles and ha a mini-natter, then onwards through the Windwood to Woodthorpe Court link-corridor. Into the cold lift lobby, and up to the flat.

It was Jenny, with the medications for me, bless her cotton socks. She brought them into the kitchen for me. I had a job handing her some wine as her Christmas treat, and thanked her profusely. I do appreciate all she does for me, she’s saved my bacon a few times, I can tell yer! ♥
I got to sorting meal ag

23:35hrs: I stirred ostensive into ersatz life, calmly, slowly and thoughtfully this Thursday merry morning. The mind was not filled with blasting confusing thoughts, as would it would typically be. There were certain calmnesses and acceptances of something or other that I could not identify. Obviously, the grey-cells must have been active during my sleeping? After a few minutes failing to find what it was I was so relaxed and accepting of, the need for a wee-wee arose.
Got the computer on and checked the appointments on the Google Calendar.
As I began to update yesterday’s blog, the need to divert to the Porcelain Throne arrived. So, off to the wet room. The feeling of trepidation I usually take with me was not needed. This turned out to be an evacuation that went well. Oh, yes! No, I say, No, bleeding from front or rear, minimal pain and a messy-less action! Smug-Mode-Adopted!
Cleaned up, and went to make another brew, took the morning medications at the same time. Then back to the computerisationing.
It was an almost content old Inchcock, who got his things ready, but a couple of cans of the G&T cans in the trolley, to give the staff at the Health Centre as a Christmas treat. Wrapped up well, remembered his gloves, and set off out, down the elevator, through the lobby and out on to Chestnut Walk, and the bitter unwelcoming cold morning.
I stood for a moment in the terraqueous-free road, and had a look around, taking in the peace and quiet.

As I set off on the footpath towards Mansfield Road, a gentleman perambulist on a bicycle, a keen, fit, athletic young sportsman, good-looking, handsome even, shot by me from the back, at a speed that champion cyclist Denis Mueller-Korenek, would have been proud of! The spunk-faced, ignorant crutch-faced git!
I got to the bottom of the walkway, and took this photographicalisation, to mu right, fa
Schuhplattler dancing session!
and called at the reception on the way out, and gave the young lady the can of gin and tonic for her pressie. That cheered her up a bit!
I espied a new to me, anyway, Christmas tree had been put in the ground on the pavement, even from far away it looked a little on the tatty side.
As I got close to it, I realised it was tatty! All bashed about. I wouldn’t be surprised if it weren’t the local yobbery gangs who were responsible! Tut! Or it may have fallen over hence the barriers?
I got some cleaning things from Wilko. Fabric conditioner, fabric freshener and Fragrance booster.
No more mock-dancing, as I started the hobble back to the flats
have heard it!
I turned onto the gravel path top and took this picture of Winwood Heights. The buildings looked quite impressive now that Winwood Court has been finished being built. I considered going up to the roof to photograph the blocked and leaking drains, but I didn’t. Ahem!
I took a last outdoors photo, showing the bottom field and cluster of mixed housing on the hill.
Tiredness dawned, so I got the handwashing done, and made the meal. Maple lamb chops, curried baked beans with balsamic vinegar, tomatoes, wholemeal cobs and lemon mousse. An 8/10 for flavour rating.
freshen up in the wet room.

I changed the Google Calendar. Now that looks more organised and neater, better planned. If only more folks understood and knew the farcical hassle, aggravation and time it had taken me!

Mind you, the Doctor tells me that it will be of no use to me, with my having Rheumatoid Arthur Itis, but she is happy for me to continue using it, as long as I rub it in well, massage the whole joint – doing that (massaging) might do some good, not the Gel. I asked her for a stronger gel, but she said this was the maximum strength allowed. Now you can see why I love Dr Vindla so much, her straight forward nature goes down so well with me.

I made another brew of Thompsons tea and had three biscuits with it. Some people might have called them cakes, but they’d be wrong! Back to the computerisationing, and sent photos to Pinterest. Then had a jolly good time on the TFZer Facebooking for over an hour. I enjoyed that! – ‘Enjoy

I explained the problem with the water tablets being in the blister packs when they are taken on an as-and-when needed basis. And the identification of between the beta-blockers (Bisoprolol Fumarate), Codeine 30g and the Water tablets (Furosemide) was difficult with them all looking similar. She phoned the chemist for me and arranged for them to be loose on future prescriptions – how kind of her.
Then I got back to updating this post. Wondering what time the Phlebotomy nurse might arrive. I was beginning to get a little hungry now. Especially with knowing the unhealthily fatty, but delicious New Zealand lamb, mint, mushrooms and cheesy-potatoes were for dinner!
I got the mushrooms on the simmer, with a bit of lamb gravy and a splash of Sukang Puti extra-strong vinegar.
I got on with this blog while the lamb cooked. Then got the meal served up.
