Inchcock Today: Mon 16th 15 – Back to the Hospital

16th February 2015

I didn’t get to sleep for yonks last night despite me exhausting walk wot I took to the Arboretum yesterday.

Woke up well tired still.

WC’d.

No tablets to take due to me error in taking me morning lot last night… confusing meself now.

Laptop on to finish and post yesterdays Diary and started this one.

Thought through me tasks for the day:

QMC INR level tests at the haematology department. Must get the nibbles packed up for the nurses, Record-card already in crossword book in bag.

Meet Pete at noon at his bus-stop.

Get back and sort things for the Nottingham Hospice Charity Shop and take them in.

Got myself cleaned, medicated and polished and set off for the walk into town.

Oh boy shiver me timbers and cor blimey governor was it raining? Is the Pope a atholic? It was belting down!

I had a ponder for a while: Should I get a bus into town and pay £2.50 for the pleasure? (It was well too early to use me pensioners bus-pass). Or should I risk walking and hope the rain eases a bit?

I decided to risk it as well as keeping Arthur Itis’s joints moving thought it a good idea.

0101wetWhatta-mistaka-to-maker!

I was well wet within a few hundred yards of me walk – the rain had started to fill me bag, (Luckily the nurses nibbles were well wrapped up in an Icleland carrier bag) me new shoes were leaking, and halfway up the hill the floodwater was unavoidable by the buses and several unpleasant drenchings took place.

I just hoped that the rain would not get through me new coat into me mobile phone and/or camera.

Out of desperation I used me Pound Shop umbrella, that dripped (Obviously) into me bag, down me already soaked legs and me shoes like.

I squelched on into town and caught a bus out to the hospital within minutes.

Getting from that bus into the hospital (About 400yds) through the torrent of rain that decided to come down as I got off the bus was not nice. I got in though the entrance to the foyer area and had to shake off as much rain as I could before going in proper, as did many others.

Me poor old tweed Andy-Cap was absolutely drenched and I decided not to take it off cause I knew from experience that putting it back on again would be farcical.

I got to the haematology and only one person was there and I was in, gave them their nibbles, blood taken and out in a matter of ten minutes tops.

The rain had eased a lot when I came out and crossed over the road to catch a bus into town to meet Pete.

When I arrived in town I realised that it was far too early to wait for Pete in the rain and rang him to see if he could come any earlier – as I didn’t fancy going back to the bomb-site then coming out again to get re-soaked. He said no, he’d see me at the agreed time and I should go in a cafe for a cuppa and wait.

Fair enough I said. But no way was I gong into a cafe for a cup of so called tea… have you ever found one that served tea that didn’t taste like warm brown distilled water?

0102JI was outside Jessops department store so thought I’d go in and have a wander around in the dry and warmth. I went up to the top floor and started working me way down nosing at things and pretending I could afford them like.

0103JThey had some artwork on sale but nothing that attracted me, not my style really – apart from one piece that is of a stone built cottage in the hills of somewhere or other that I thought was a decent effort, a very decent effort… then I saw the price of it… £120 (USD$184.45, CAD$229.98, AUD$237.17 Euro€161.74, JPY ¥21860.95 a little too much for me..

0104busPete rang back to say he was on his way and would be there in fifteen minutes, then I had find me way out of the store? It took a while… Tsk!

As I poddled down the stairs I found that through the windows I could take an overview shot of the crossing on Milton Street below – so I took one to the left of the traffic then one to the 0105crossright of the crossing.

I think they show the weather as it really was although the rain had eased off by then a bit.

Got out into Victoria shopping mall and made me way to the exit and passing the Thornton’s store I espied some chocolate shaped like a Champagne bottle at £5 a go and thought sister Jane would like one for Easter maybe, so I went in and bought on. The young chap asked what I’d like writing on it… I must have given him a confused look and he repeated himself slowly. Then it dawned that they write a message of one’s choice on it in white chocolate… I got there in the end (Attracting the now much used “Poor old devil” look from him. I asked him to put Jane and some kisses which amused him but he had the nous and manners to turn around before laughing. (The tell-tale sign was his shoulders going up and down yer know… hehehe)

I met Pete and he said Jane wanted to know where the shop was that got the seasoned roasted seaweed for her, so we had a poddle around for a bit. We passed where the 19 year old lad had been murdered and there were hundreds of floral tributes on the lampposts. So very sad I decided not to take a photo out of respect.

The Chinese shop on Goose Gate was an Alladins Cave to Pete. We got some seaweed and then went to another Asian shop around the corner – but what a difference, mouse droppings, out-of-date stuff on sale and staff that looked and leered like they were tongue members.

0106GCI left Pete at his bus-stop but not before he took a photo with me camera of me with a wet barren atmosphericalisional background.

I poddled to me bus stop and caught one back to Carrington, calling in the public gents on the way.

Back in Carrington I popped into the Co-op and got some bread-thins then hobbled in the rain to the dump.

WC’d, kettle on, laptop internet on, made a flask of good strong tea and set about creating this diary.

Too late to take the stuff to the hospice… well I mean too wet really.

7-11-14 7-11-14bDuring which I realised I’d not taken a photo of Jane’s Champagne bottle that I meant to earlier. Huh! So I rang Pete and asked him to take one and email it to me please.

He did bless him, he took two: Here they are.

Notice the brickwork in their front room, spot on and classy – yer can see Pete was a brick-layer can’t you.

Mash and sausages for nosh methinks tonight.

Inchcock Today: Incorporating Inchies Mammoth walk to see his beloved Mallard ducks

Sunday 15th February 2015

I yet again sprang awake at 0520hrs this time, passed me morning medication time but still.

WD’d, then made a cuppa and a pot of porridge and took the medications.

Spent a good few hours trying to get my head around Serif Draw x6 without much progress. Doing lines on text involves many more steps than in Coreldraw9 and to delete a guideline needs six steps opposed to just selecting and pressing delete in Coreldraw.

0701Got missen washed and brushed up and set off on me walk to the Nottingham Arboretum to see the mallards and pigeons.

Around the first corner at the end of the street I managed to avoid whoopsiedangleplop on some Canine Nottingham Street-Art, presumably designed with the assistance of their pet hound – judging  by the ‘Spread’ of the artistic blobs the owner must have been in a rush and forcefully pulling the poor thing along?

0702The view looked like somehting out of an old black and white picture as I wended me way through the jitty onto Mansfield Road.

Sneaking some seeds to the pigeons as I whistled and looked up to the sky – then saw yobboes lurking near the passageway so took the long route as I didn’t feel too comfortable about the 0703three lads drinking and shouting about something or other.

As I was walking down the road a 1962 Ford Zepher passed by, saw it coming so had time to grab me camera to take a photo of it. Gloriously memory tweaking seeing that, they were converted for Ford by Farnham Estates and very few were made. A rare treat to 0704see one nowadays, and the engine sounded in good nick too.

So I looked ahead and took a photograph of where I had to walk to get on me way to the Nottingham Arboretum.

Straight on to the traffic lights on the corner of Hucknall Road in the distance on this photograph.

Got to the traffic lights and took a photo of the next stretch of Mansfield Road down to the traffic island at the junction of Gregory Boulevard alongside the Forest 0705recreation ground.

A fair but of traffic around considering it is a Sunday.

The weather still a bit gloomy, but not me. I was feeling surprisingly perky at this stage, the ailments not too bad… apart from the angina but I can’t have it all ways can I now.

Pressed on singing away to meself to traffic islands and turned right.

0706To the pedestrian crossing you see in the picture and crossed over it and started to walk along the side of the recreations ground.

Where they are building something new for the kids, it might be football pitches perhaps.

IMG_0022Took a photograph of the piles of grit and sand stacked all over the old field because I thought how they looked like mole-hills… Giant mole-hills. Hehehe!

As I turned to carry on me walk no less the three police cars belted passed en-route towards the City Centre with their Blues & Twos activated.

0707A few yards further along Gregory Boulevard I turned down a path into the recreation ground, seeing these cars parked where they were, you can understand it, the sign is not big enough and they are Nottingham folk after all said and done!

Bless em!

IMG_0024I walked passed the cars and into and across the Forest ground on the footpaths you can see int picture, and up the hill to the right.

Half way up i stopped to catch me breath a bit, but moved n without resting as a rather large dog on its own was coming up behind me and showing its teeth!

Up the path opposite almost to the end of it and then I turned right up an old cobble-stone path steeply rising to the top and Waverley Street.

IMG_0025As I looked up the path I began to regret taking this route a bit… but the cobble stones first erected as a road  surface must have been designed so the horses could get a good grip when pulling drays and trams on the main roads.

Damp as it was, I didn’t slip on the hill at all.

When I got to the top of the hill Arthur Itis knees were complaining.

It was not too cold and there were very few folk about anywhere up here on the hill top.

IMG_0026I had a look at the memorial plynth for the local WW1 soldiers lost.

It’s been renovated and looked almost new – I fear with it being out of the way vandals may visit it soon with their grafitti or worse.

But I was soon recovered and crossed over and down Waverley Street passing 0708the tram stop for the Nottingham High School buildings.

“Ah… this is better!” I thought, downhill to the Arboretum gates.

Still uncommonly quiet, so much so it made me nervous, bearing in mind I was on my way down this hill to go into the place where I was mugged last year.

Shudder!

0711No one about at the entrance to the grounds (Mind you there wasn’t last August either).

I emtered and started to walk down towards the duck pond and saw several squirrels on the grass near some bushes.

I took some photos but for some reason they all came out very smudgy and blurred. A bit disappointed with that, but the least bad one I’m posting here – if you could have seen them with your own eyes you’d have been fascinated like 0713wot I was I think.

They seemed to be playing with each other like children.

Sorry about the quality or lack of I should say.

I walked through the trees where I was set-upon intentionally so as to break any lingering fears I thought.

Hobbled (And by now I Was hobbling) Down and around to the ponds edge and despite 0712everything felt grateful that I could still get about and so many interesting   things for me to do locally – but mostly so glad I had remembered me free pensioners bus-pass to use to get home later.

I opened me bag of meal-worms ready for the Mallards and got the seeds ready 0714for the pigeons and walked around the pond to the spot where they can get out and to the food easily.

I fed the little mites getting joy and satisfaction from dong so – I’m easily pleased.

I’m amazed at how well the mallards always seem to get on with the pigeons, cause mallards are not known for their passive nature are they?

The Aviary had now got some birds in the cages, no idea what they were but they had attracted a 0716good few folk sat watching them.

My final visit in the Arboretum was to my favourite few square yards of unkempt land near the gates at the bottom of the hill end.

The wild flowers that grow here get me admiration for how they not only survive but seem to flourish against all the odds.

Nature at its best this patch.

I walked into town down Waverley Street and 0717along Shakespeare Street on my way to Tesco to see if they had any cheesey seaweed in stock.

As I passed the Central Fire Station I looked up at the building – not a good idea as it happened and I stubbed me toe on the kerbside – Cursed, and .replied I was okay thank you to the kind young man with the gloves on who asked me if I was alright.

IMG_0037Called into Tesco, they had one packet of me seaweed left so I snaffled it.

As I came out to go to the bus stop I caught another Nottingham pavement cyclist and a few more Nottinghomians crossing the road against the lights at the same time. Naughty!

Caught the bus back to the hoppit.

Met neighbour who told me that a coach of visiting students had been attacked by a gang as it drove through Broxtowe earlier today. That might have been where the police vehicles I saw were going?

Got in the dump, WC’d put the kettle on and WC’s again? Oh dear…

I had six microwave sausages and some instant mash, followed my a lemon yoghurt.

WC’d, then started to update this diary.

Then made a big faux pas.

I took me morning medications in mistake for me night medications, well six of theeighboum before I realised. Then took me night medications with the Warfarin, but avoided those that were to be taken morning and night if yer see wot I mean like? – Tummy-ache within half an hour but still here. Tsk!

Must remember tomorrow INR tests (I’ve already put me record card in me bag ready so I don’t forget it again) Then I’m meeting Pete at 1200hrs at his bus stop in town.

Forget? Me?…

.

Inchcock Today: Hospital with Sister Jane

I fell asleep (at last) early last night – sprang awake at 0300hrs and for the first time in ages could not remember having any dreams.

WC’d, bit of blood from the rear. Knees and hands not to bad with arthritis, ulcer okay, angina a touch bothersome and ticker beating away like a good un. The escapages of wind continue unabated however.

Made a cuppa, started laptop and finished yesterdays Diary and worked on some graphics and facebooked a bit.

Took my medications aware that I missed last nights so I can expect a bit of bother of some sort today. Tsk!

Must remember to ring Sister Jane later to confirm what time she wants me to meet her at her bus-stop in town to go with her on her appointment at the Queens Medical Centre.

Also must take out bins for collection, call at the GP to collect prescription and after going with Jane, I must call at the chemist for me monthly medications.

Rang Pete early and confirmed he and Jane would be going and I could meet them at 1315hrs at their bus-stop in the City Centre.

WC’d.

Made another cuppa and had a pot of porridge. (By gum I live well)

Forgot to take me bin out – Tsk!

Titivated myself and set off remembering to call at the GP surgery for me extra prescription – which they took a while to find, it was with my monthly prescriptions that the chemist had not collected yet. Hey-ho. I took them all down to the chemist as it was on me walk into town anyway.

Bit drab this morning with the odd spot of rain but not too cold at all.

0501As I was half way down Mansfield Road from the cemetery I thought how sad the row of shops looked across the road.

I pressed on and got into town and made my way to Argos to see if they had any mini-cookers in – they hadn’t – so moved towards the bus-stop where I was to meet Jane and Pete, and noticed 0502yet again the Nottinghomian’s habit of ignoring traffic and pedestrian lights as they crossed over the road against red lights again. No wonder the cyclists on the pavements don’t interest them.

Had a go at me crossword book while I waited in the bus-shelter for Jane and Pete.

They soon arrived and we walked to catch the bus to the QMC.

We set off and were soon at the hospital, very early for Jane’s appointment but they still came and took her in for the x-rays (That’s not the word she used but it I’ll forgotten the word).

0503Jane was out in 6 minutes and we were out walking to the bus-stop to get back to town and I took a photo of them.

Pete took one or more of Jane and me on his camera phone, I’m still awaiting him to email them to me.

In town I walked them to their bus-stop and had a poddle to Friar Lane and the Asian food shop, where I got some of the cheesey seaweed.

0504Then walked through the slab square in the city centre where the Nottingham Wheel was being well used, despite the rain now a little heavier.

I think I might treat myself soon and have a go one it to take some photographs?

Two police vans were outside Primark again. Shoplifter?

Walked up to Victoria centre the Trinity Square where I got a photo of some ‘bling’ in the jewellery shop window for the TFZ gals, much to the consternation of the lady inside.

0505Yet again as I passed the lights on Upper Parliament street the precious little Nottingham citizenry were still crossing against the lights.

Caught the bus back to Carrington and hobbled to the dump, got to the door and realised I’d not collected me prescriptions from the chemist – just as the rain got heavy again. Limped to the MedTrentalchemist and collected me sack of medications and returned to the hovel. They said they couldn’t get any of me Trental blood release tablets but would have some for me on Monday.

WC’d.

Sated me hunger pangs with 2 beef slices, a tin of potatoes and followed them with yoghurt and a mousse.

Laptop on, took me medications and started to update this diary.

Again I have a feeling I’ve forgotten something today…?

Inchcock Today: Thurs 12th Feb 15: Stay at home day

Thursday 12th February 2015

Didn’t get off to kip until gone 0300hrs despite feeling drained.

Up at 0517 hrs and WC’d, bleeding from the back-end.

Started laptop and took me medications.

Staying in today until or if the Serif-Draw package is delivered.

The knees were bad, and the wind from all quarters chronic really never ending. I’m thinking of calling at the Army & Navy surplus stores for a gas-mask for misssen? But all other medical ailment not bad at all, even Anne Gyna is behaving herself.

I phoned sister Jane to see what time I should meet her tomorrow to go to the hospital with her, bit of support like cause she don’t like going bless her. Hubby Pete said he could not go with her because they had the fish being delivered on Friday and he had to wait in for it.

I finished and posted yesterday’s diary and did some graphics, but Coreldraw9 crashed again.

0406drawThe DrawPlusx6 package came though the letterbox – I was anticipating a courier delivering it and it being a lot larger because I’d ordered a manual with it, it was just a CD along with the very thin manual. When I’ll get time to install it and learn how it works I’m not sure.

0401ShrbI titivated myeself and got the Nottingham Hospice things in me bag, visited the porcelain and set off on me walk into Sherwood

I managed about six yards and realised I’d still got me reading glasses on, so returned and got me bi-focal spectacles on.

I poddled down to Mansfield Road and

turned left at St John’s Church to find some 0402artbrand new Nottingham Street Art just before the bus-stop.

As I was photographing this original piece of Yobbo-art I espied a burke-on-a-bike approaching so managed to get a shot of the git coming – being reprimanded – and going.

I quoted loudly my usual “If you’re too 0403Cyclscared to ride on the road you shouldn’t be on a bike youth!”

His one word reply reminded me I’d got a visit to the genito urinary clinic coming up soon.

0404SherwOnward up the hill, down the hill, and up the next hill into Sherwood and the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop and left me bits for them.

I called in the take-away food shop and got something to take home and reheat later – chicken in batter and roast potatoes £3.50 and very tasty it was too.

As I came out of the food shop there was an altercation going on between a group of chaps that was getting verbally heated with all the signs of it about to develop into physical violence showing.

I hobbled away and stood to watch them from a safe distance.

No idea what language they were speaking in such anger, Eastern European of some sort I think.

The police arrived and one of the officers spoke their tongue and that seemed to calm them all down.

I moved on down the hill and continued me walk back to Carrington.

0505signOutside the Methodist Chapel… no they call them Churches nowadays, in my younger days the Primitive Methodists called them Halls or Chapels, the new sign caught my attention and made me ponder on it. If only it were true we would be a lot wiser.

Got back to the hovel and reheated and consumed me nosh – lovely it were.

Tiredness and fatigue overcame me again and I soon fell asleep. Missed both me midday and evening medication doses today… oh dear…

At least I managed to get some kip in – not before time either.

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today Mon 9th Feb 15: Hassle Bother and Frustration Day!

Sunday 9th February 2015

I stirred about 030ohrs – WC (no blood but plenty of pain), made a cuppa, started laptop put heater on.

Angina bad, arthritis fair, ulcers, blue bruises and aches from me Whoopsiedangleplop abating nicely.

Finalised yesterday’s diary and posted it.

Laptop making odd bleeping noises? Maybe my catching the flippin’ ‘unturnoffable’ touch pad had caused it?

Did me contributions for LOMM.

Then Facebooked a bit, keeping an eye on the time so I’m not late for me Queens Medical Centre INR tests.

I’m not feeling in the slightest bit anacreontic this morning.

I had to attend to the back passage again – yer know like, clean up the blood and tenderise the little mites with the cream, had a dizzy while doing this… it’s the revealing of little every day facts like this that keep me going yer know? Hehehe!

Got the bag of goodies ready for the nurses at the QMC and one for the staff at the clinic. Then made sure I’d got me hearing aids  in, right glasses on me nose, angina tabs, blood swabs, right shoes and clothes on, bird seed, mallard earthworms, medications and hearing aid fresh batteries with me etc. and proudly set off to catch the bus to town.

0101frostBuy Jiminy it were colder than I thought when I set out, the cars and road were still covered in a thick jack-frost.

Brrr!

I got to the end of the road and realised I’d not got me mobile phone with me so returned and collected it. (Thought I was doing well like – Tsk!)

Off again, fed the pigeons while I thought no one was looking and caught a bus into town – a very full bus with a big bloke sat on one seat with his bag on the one next to him and people standing! Couldn’t believe it – I approached him and asked him nicely to move his bag so an elderly lady could sit down. He started using broken English and smiling but was not getting the message – I picked up his bag and put it on his  lap – this he didn’t like and suddenly spoke perfect English to admonish me… luckily this triggered some other passengers on the bus to offer me support and he gave up and put it back on his lap – fuming openly! The lady thanked me for intervening bless her. I’m just glad that he didn’t get physical because he wont half a big un… Phew!

I gorroff the bus and nipped into the Poundshop to get a pack of the cheapo Lion bars.

Out and across the road and caught a bus out to the Queens Medical Centre – and remembered en-route I had forgotten to take me Anticoaguation card with me – Blimey what will I forget next? No problem though I thought, plenty of time before the clinic appointment. I’ll nip up the D floor and get a copy from the Anticoagulation clinic first – they seem to accept the fact that I’m going gaga and don’t say too much about it when I forget more often than take it with me on me appointment days recently, bless them.

Feeling a bit ‘Not-as-well-as-I-should’ like, I took the lift up today – eventually!

Not having used them before, I got in the first one to arrive, nobody warned me of the scrum skills one needs to survive the experience against the opposition squad lift users team.

Anyroad, it went down to A (I was on B), thinking it would to go up then, it did to B, then down to A, then up to B, then down to A, then up to back to B – despite my pressing the D floor button. Everyone who fought their way into it got off without a word, I assumed after growing a beard that this lift must be dedicated to use between these two floors – but why the other floors option buttons?

So I abandoned the lift and waited for another. This one got me to D floor – I’d almost forgotten why I was going to D floor by now… Hehe.

I went in and joined the queue, and when my turn at the reception came the lady looked up saw me, cocked her head to one side and gave me her standard look that said clearly “Oh dear him again” – I didn’t have to explain why I’d called. She asked if I’d got me Alert Card with me – I had and handed it to her and she printed of a new record card for me. I have to keep the Alert Card with me at all time and show it any medical professional before being treated – so they don’t kill me with aspirin or whatever. This is the lady that kindly printed me a spare card a few weeks when I lost the one I had saying: “I’ll print off a spare for when you lose this one…” Bless her cotton socks.

0103qmcI limped down the stairs rather than risk the lists again to B floor.

There were many folk in the queue and I took me ticket and sat down to fill in me form… taking a crappily took photo of them from behind first.

Now more bother and hassle dawned – I realised that I should not have attended today – I knew as soon as I saw next Mondays date on the newly printed Record Card yer know – I pick up on things like that… eventually sometimes!

What a class one dick-head with bar I am!

Feeling rather embarrassed and ashamed of meself again – I walked into the blood room and gave the nurses their nibble carrier bag and told them wot I’d done – it says a lot that none of them said owt, just accepted it as normal like? Oh dear.

The next bit of hassle then came:

Phoning the clinic to see if I was due there today. Luckily I had the number in me mobile – but could I understand what whoever answered the phone was saying? No! Luckily a woman stood next time heard my difficulties wot I was having and took the mobile and spoke for me asking them wot I asked – No clinic today, it’s next Tuesday! I thanked the lady profusely and red faced I left the hospital.

0102ArtWhich is not the place I expected to see any Nottingham Canine Street Art really. But there it was about twelve foot from the hospital entrance.

I thought I’d catch a bus into Bulwell and go and see if any of the freezer shops had got any of me favourite blackcurrant and ice-cream lollies in stock yet. They hadn’t.

Soon caught  35 Bus into Bulwell, and had a go at me crosswords en-route, even managed to get a few answers to some I’d started weeks ago.

0104msI assembled all the photos I took in Bulwell Market of the mobility scooter drivers here in the short while I visited.

Only two of them threatened me today, bad enough – but what really wrangles is they didn’t even notice!

Back to the Diary proper:

More hassle!

I got off of the bus at Bulwell bus-station and as I stepped off the curb to cross over to the river Leen to see if any mallards were about to feed like – I slipped off the curb.

This did not stop me crossing over to the river Leen to see if any mallards were about to feed like – I just did it with a slightly more pronounced limp than usual as the graze on me ankle bone bled a bit. Huh!

0105mallThere were only a few of the mallard ducks about, the river was flowing very fast and the wind was bad. They seemed very nervous today.

I’ve noticed that in these conditions often they are absent all together, but I gave them a few handfuls of meal-worms and quacked back their thanks.

I found there was none of me favourite lollies available on sale anywhere.

Had a walk around looking in the cheapo shops – at Fulton’s they had some of the pots of instant mash in again so I got a few, and some Honey flavoured yoghurt.

0106busStatI was soon back at the Bus-station waiting in the queue for the bus back to Carrington – where a bit of hassle took place, but not for me.

A rather mephitic verbal argument took place between two women.

I was intrigued and tempted to catch the next bus and listen in on their…er discussion, but decided with my luck today best not to.

0107carringt2Soon got back to Carrington and as I walked from the bus-stop over the hill, I saw an opportunity to try and take another ‘Atmospheric picture’ of down the hill on Hucknall Road. The shadow cast by the old tree did it for me.

When I’d got into the hovel, WC’d and made a cuppa I started the laptop to down load the photo’s I’d taken – but the last one was not as good as I intended. I took the opportunity to try using me new Serif-draw package to see it I could do something with it to make it look a bit different.

I managed to make it look different but was not pleased with me effort overall though. But when I get time I’ll have a go again with Serif to see if I can master it like. It operates so differently to Coreldraw9 – well it operates without freezing like Coreldraw9 up to now! But I’ve not tried anything demanding of power on it yet.

Not all bad today though, the chip on the ankle is not bad at all, the arthritis is bearable, no bother at all from the ulcer, the piles are no worse than yesterday and not, I say not bleeding at this time, the new ticker is ticking only the angina is bothersome.

Made another cuppa and took me medications.

Tonight I plan to have microwave sausages, instant potatoes with cheese granules, yoghurt and a mug of tea.

0108

Tongue-in-cheek little fib…

And to think that all Prince William and Kate Middleton had at there pad was a starter of dressed crab from Wales, accompanied with mini crab timbale (mousse), crayfish and prawns, described by one guest as “exquisitely delicious”.

A main course of lamb fillet from Highgrove “done three ways” followed, before being treated to a trio of mini-puddings of trifle, chocolate fondant and home-made ice-cream in brandy-snap baskets.

The meal, which lasted around two hours, was served with wines, thought to be from the Buckingham Palace and Clarence House cellars, described by another guest as “stunningly good” – a white Meursault Burgundy and Pomerol claret. Then the petit-fours and coffee.

I really don’t want to make them jealous!

When it came to noshing I realised I’d got me two beef and onion slices to eat within a days use by date, so had them with a pot of instant mash with cheese granules.

Not bad.

Inchcock Today: Sat 7th Feb 2015: Aching all over after yesterday’s Whoopsiedangleplop!

Saturday 7th February 2015

0512TopDflats

Photo of the Council’s old peoples flats – taken moments before me Whoopsiedangleplop down the muddy grassy knoll yesterday

Woke up and tried to find a bit of me body that didn’t ache or hurt… not an easy task this morning that.

Moved to the WC and the arthritis wasn’t too bad, but the angina kicked in straight away and from the agony from me rear it was obvious I needed to attend to me haemorrhoids and clean up a bit.

Left shoulder and elbow were stiff and tender and twinges from the neck reminded me of my Whoopsiedangleplop down the muddy grassy bank from yesterday.

Not sure if I should go out at all today, I’ve got… oh dear, now the fingers and hands have a visit from Arthur Itis. Typing is not easy when this happens with the digits.

I managed to get some kip last night though, fair enough I kept waking up every half hour or so, but at least I nodded off again.

0602

Sufferin’ summat rotten!

No wonder I feel so tired but it might have been worse. Oh, me rear end feels like it’s on fire, and the involuntary little escapages of wind are accompanied with a venomous aroma again!

So glad I live alone at times like this.

A heavy duty call to the porcelain and boy did I suffer. Nearly read a whole book while painfully struggling to painfully perform my required functions… Oh dear me!

Not good this.

Put me muddied trousers from yesterday in me wash bag. The mud on the shoes was not hard enough to remove yet so left em till later. Put me jeans and old leaking shoes on.

0603Started this diary, then did some Facebooking and visitations to the porcelain.

Got the nibbles, camera and clothes packed up for the Nottingham Hospice shop and set off on me short walk into Sherwood.

The sky looked just grey, but it was not cold the wind was low and somebody’s Rap music was filtering into the ether from their window.

0604As I walked up the hill I managed to catch a cyclist on the pavement who was riding towards me, the little monkey!

At least he had his reflective coat and safety helmet on in the event that he had knocked me over he could claim I should have seen him coming and not hurt himself. Huh!

0605I hobbled on, the knees ankles and bruised shoulder manageable, onto Mansfield Road and up the first hill and down near the library the traffic was queuing and horns a pappping.

Up the secnd hill and over the pelican lights to the other side of the road and into the Nottingham Hospice shop with the bits for them.

The ankle and knees were a tad worse now, not surprising really after yesterday’s slide down the hill in the mud is it?

I could smell the food coming from the shop that sells cooked food and was tempted in to try some providing it would be safe for me to reheat the nosh in the microwave when I got home cause it would take me a good while to get there from here. I joined the queue and just as I was about to be served – realised I’d left me money in the other trousers.

Sheepishly I left the shop and called at the cash machine to get some money out – felt a fool again when I could not remember me number… ah thought I it’s in code on me mobile phone I think – that too was in the old trousers.

First attempt at the code on the machine failed, buy now a battalion of cash seeking Nottingham residents were a-tucking, swearing and tutting at me…

Second attempt and got it, more to the relief of those in the queue behind me than missen.

So back to the shop for me hot nosh – the queue was even longer now, hey-ho.

Didn’t know what food was what cause no signs on them. When the lady came to serve me I had to ask what was what like – much to the displeasure of the same bloke behind me who I’d just kept waiting at the cash point!

I inquired if the chilli and roast potatoes I’d just purchased where reheatable in a microwave and getting a positive reply, I put me head down and made me way through the crowds who’d been waiting behind me, a tad red-faced – me being red-faced not the crowd like.

0607Started me walk up the hill back to Carrington and hey-ho three – I say three cyclists on the pavement riding at me!

When they’d gone passed I photographed the little varmints.

Onward up the hill and struggling now with the ankle shoulder and knees. (Mind you, I really would struggle without um eh? Hehe!)

0606I noticed the traffic coming from the City Centre was at a standstill all the way up to the top of the hill.

The car you can see turning went into the road immediately in front of the photo in an attempt to take a short-cut or alternative route to avoid the traffic jam.

Not a local driver I’d have guessed, as the road is a one-way road – and he was then travelling the wrong way!

I ambled on limpingly and slowly getting back to the flea-pit eventually.

WC’d, put me chilli-con-carni (Is that how you spell it?) and roast spuds in the microwave, made a strong cuppa and watched an old film on YouTube.

I really did enjoy that nosh with a few slices of bread and a lemon yoghurt. Not too hot like wot I feared it might be either. Superb!

Started doing this diary update.

Current Health Update:

BBC01Knees not too bad now – Hands bad – Shoulder not good – Angina bad – Wind lethal on Defcon3.

I managed to finish the graphic for me upcoming blog at last.

I beginning to wonder if my scaevity was a gift from God, inherited or punishment?

Oh dear… I’m considering upgrading me Lethal Emmissions of Wind to Defcon 2…

Inchcock Today: Fri 6th Feb 2015

0501aWoke up and lay there trying to remember a dream… wrote down a graphic and notes for later when I’d have the laptop on, took photo of the note.

WC’d, bit of blood, angina still niggling, arthritis not so bad – started laptop and went down to make a cuppa returned and started Coreldraw9 and took me medications.

0501Coreldraw9 froze again, when I was doing graphic of me dream because I thought the photo of me hand written note would not be clear enough on screen.

Seems that Mike Steeden was in  a car at the end of a garden and calling some thing to or at me and I was calling back from a bedroom window?

Can’t remember owt else about it – but felt the house garage and garden might have been a mixture of passed dwellings?

Frustrating innit?

Had to restart system again.

Started this diary, then finished yesterdays and posted it.

Took me medications and got ready for a trip out up Woodborough Road for a change, I decided to bus into town then another out and up to Mapperley – have a wander about, take some photo’s and walk back down, should only take me about an hour to walk back I reckon. (Ha!)

As I walked to the end of the road on me way to the bus-stop I observed that Severn-Trent were digging and planning a lot more judging by the marks on the road and pavements.0502Carr

I caught bus to town, then another out to Mapperley, I’ve not been there for years so had an amble up one side of the road, crossed over and had an amble back then turned down Winchester Street – camera in hand all the time – even when I had me Whoopsidangleplop later!

0503TopsThe first new to me thing I noticed across the road when I got off of the bus like (All praise the Nottingham City Council Pensioners Free Bus Pass please!) was a 30 Minute Workout for Women shop had opened?

I won’t say what thoughts went through me head when I read the sign… best not to eh?

0504TopsThe Waltham antenna relay mast was clearly visible in the distance.

Within seconds I realised it had gotten very cold suddenly – then realised it was because of how high I was. Not on ale or drugs like, high height-wise like.

Does seem to get very cold up here. They had even put some sand/salt on 0505Topsthe pavements near the shops today – I wish they’d do that everywhere when it threatens ice and snow.

On my way back towards Nottingham now, after seeing some Purple and Maroon carrots on sale at £1 a pound at the greengrocers next to the Co-op store on Mapperley Plains, what next.

I looked them up when I got back to the laptop: Before the 17th century, almost all cultivated carrots were purple. The modern day orange carrot wasn’t cultivated until Dutch growers in the 16th century took mutant strains of the purple carrot and developed them into the sweet plump orange variety we have today. Before this, pretty much all carrots were purple with occasionally white and yellow 0506Topsaones? Just thought I’d mention it like…

I moved on and at the butchers they had a sign outside offering Exotic meats.

Ostrich, crocodile, kangaroo, camel and bison!..but no horse?

I wandered on (Feet aching a bit now, 0507Topsbut nothing compared to how were going to feel when I eventually got back indoors… Tsk!) and took scenic photographs best I could manage from a high points I could access.

As I viewed the thousands of houses below I got a touch sentimental thinking to myself:

0508FTopsAmazing to think that most of these dwellings will have an unemployed person or two in them, shoplifters, muggers, maniacs, Uninsured and unsafe Mobility scooter drivers, cyclist who cycle on the pavement, alcoholics, drug addicts, drug pushers, gunmen, terrorists and UKIP supporters in them, chilling!

0509topDAs I began my walk down the steep bendy Winchester Street I came across nature again that fascinated me.

Next to the pub was a hedgerow that had three distinct varieties of bushes all competing with each other for survival. I’ve no idea of the types of bushes they were, but this sort of thing often gets me thinking about humankind.

0510TopDiceAbout a third of mile down the long street I turned into Woodthorpe Park thinking I might save time by taking that route although not sure if I could get through, I persevered. First thing I noticed was that the snow from two days ago was still frozen in chunks on the pathways?

As I cut through some trees and came 0511TopSqout on the sodden grass, there was a squirrel climbing a tree trunk and he didn’t seem to bother about me, in fact I think he posed for the photograph. Nature again impressing me here.

There he was unconcerned with normal human beings and apparently having the time of his life…

That reminds me, I must draw up a draft of me letter for David Cameron… hehehe!

As I walked carefully (I thought) down the hill towards the two blocks of flats it made me wonder why they had made them Senior Citizens only? Out of the way, hills all around and no shops 0512TopDflatsnearby?

Then I had me Whoopsidangleplop!

Sipped on the wet mud and grass and carried on down for a good way on my haemorrhoid ridden backside! Struggled up and collected the things that had fell out of me bag, thought I’d 0515TopDmudlost me shoes but they were just hidden from me view by all the mud on em… Tsk!

I could feel the blood coming out from my back passage and tried to get off the slippery surface but still had a couple of hundred yards to go before I reached the flats and concrete.

0513TopDwinchWhere I did me best to clean off the mud from me shoes bum and trousers, unsuccessfully.

Limping and in pain now I can tell yers…

Down past the laundry and onward towards Mansfield Road, not a happy laddie at this stage of me walk at all. 0517Frustrated, in pain, bleeding, angina rampant and had a dizzy spell! Oh hell! (Note the bit of poetry there to help lighten the mood folks?)

A good way to go too. Still, this part was downhill at least.

Eventually hobbled into Mansfield Road turned left and called into the Continental shop for a loaf of bread.

Took a photo of the sky when I came out of the 0516xshop, I’ve no idea why I did but I did so I might as well put it in eh?

Maybe it was the lack of traffic that made me want to record it?

Who knows, so much pain now I think I was getting a bit irritable with missen.

0520Not a good thing considering what was just about to take place at the top of the hill in the distance.

As I reached the Methodist Church this turd on a bike came around the corned on the pavement and nearly had me over.

I took a picture and shouted at him but 0518no response – I am getting so fed-up with this happening so often. If it’s not  a cycling it’s a mad mobility scooter driver! Grrr!

I calmed myself down and limped onward for about a hundred yards and this youth came passed me on the pavement from behind on his bike and nearly frit me to death.

0519Camera out and snapped him then I started to tell him off when he stopped, but he just told me to go forth and multiply, then he saw a youth he knew and gave him a croggy on his bike – still on the pavement!

What can I do about it?

I wonder how much a colt 45 costs nowdays?

I got in the dump and WC’d after painfully tackling the stairs.

Tended to me back quarters best I could, cleaned up the blood, creams applied and extra painkiller taken.

Feeling poorly now. Hehe!

Made a sandwich, cuppa and started to do this diary.

Feeling tired now as well – poor old sausage!

Coreldraw froze again, went through start-up again.

Made a cuppa and took me medications – had to clean up at the rear again – if they don’t stop bleeding I’ll go to clinic or GP tomorrow, oh that’ll be a Saturday wont it. I’lll see how I go, I’ve a feeling all the sleep I’ve been missing might make me nod-0ff at any time now, so I’ll end here folks.

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today: Thru 5th Feb 15

Thursday 5th February 2015

What an ‘orrible night of dreams and waking up every few minutes.

0400hrs: Again I sprang wide awake. WC’d – made a cuppa and took me medications.

Got downstairs with relative ease and Arthur Itis was not too bad at all. Anne Gyna bothersome though.

Started laptop and this Diary.

Within seconds the innards rumbled grumbled and caused me to urgently attend the porcelain… Okay now.

Coreldraw9 crashed and I cannot do any graphicalisationing! Boo!

I tried the SerifDraw package, but it’s so convoluted I couldn’t get into it at all. Tsk!

I’ll take off and reinstall Coreldraw9 and see what happens… oh dear!

Went through uninstalling process via control panel – restarted and installed coreldraw9 – restarted and opened Coreldraw9 but it was the same as before no change and didn’t work when tried – Grrr…

Again I went through uninstalling process via control panel – restarted and installed coreldraw9 – restarted and opened Coreldraw9…

Same again ‘Coreldraw9 not responding. Shit!

Lost hours of the day in-vain there!

So glad I managed to do some graphics for me Radio Interview post before Coreldraw collapsed. Still feeling bitter and sorry for missen mind… Huh!

Now the bloomin’ angina’s starting again – oh… Nicklebothersome!

Expecting sister Jane and Brother-in-law to call later – so must gerrup and ready for them soon…

They were a little late and Pete opened the front door as I was going out with a bag of rubbish for the bin… the bruise on me head will soon heal I’m sure.

Luckily their being late meant Jane stayed in the car and did not come in to the flea-pit. (Phew!)

I gave them the pressies and Pete gave me one, a throwaway type basic camera that wasn’t a throwaway one.

They were off in a few minutes and I got me togs on for a walk to the clinic – I suppose you thought I’d forgotten about the appointment and only remembered when I got an email telling me to take the used swabs in with me at today’s visit? (Ahem!)

Had a slow walk to the clinic and took me sample-swabs with me as requested. I got seen to straight away by this young lady doctor who seemed to take great pleasure in going further into me cavern than any other doctor has.

If no improvement they will get me in for a camera viewing.

Nice.

0401CarringI caught the bus back to the hoppit, changed me togs and set out for a walk into town.

The sky from the same position as I took a photo yesterday looked calmer somehow – the rain continued to trickle down.

I walked through the alleyway slipping 0402Carringthe birds some seeds as I went through onto Mansfield Road.

Very little traffic about, as I waiting for the little green man to cross the road at the pelican lights an ambulance came flashing along with its blues and twos on… Not having me this time like yesterday I thought.

Started my slog into the City, the angina not as bad, but Arthur Itis making going difficult.

0403artWhen I got to the traffic islands just walking passed the bus-stop I noticed some more Nottingham Street Art!

Some kind Nottingham apprentice-yob or alcoholic thought the bushes would look better with lager cans and rubbish spread about in them?

Tsk!

0404ambI took a slightly different route on me hobble today and walked down Huntingdon Street on me way to the Aldi shop for some cheapo beef pasties.

As I approached the traffic lights yet another ambulance sped by with its blues and twos on.

0404aVicI took a photo of the Victoria Centre flats – they looked awfully  fragile against the backdrop of the expanse of the gloomy sky. Twinges from Anne Gyna started again and stayed wth me for the rest of the day.

I got in to Aldi and had a potter about, bought a pot of porridge, some beef pasties and two pots of luxury… I say Luxury lemon curd yoghurt! Why they were called Luxury I don’t know, but they were very nice.

0405fireAs the chap served me I noticed through the window two ambulances and a fire-engine go past towards the City Centre. When I left the store I heard another fire engine coming and got me camera out to snap it as it made its way down Huntingdon Street toward town as well.

Annoying not knowing why innit?

Now taking this photo might not have been such a good idea I thought – as I put the camera back in me bag it punctured the foil lid of one of me pots of yoghurt… I mean Luxury yoghurt.

Luckily I had plenty of kitchen towels with me (Bleeding piles for the use of cleaning up in the event of emergency you’ll understand), so I was able to clean up the bag and its contents a bit.

I walked down to Maplins and asked the chappy there if they had any covert cameras on sale – they hadn’t, only had filming covert cameras.

0406policeAs I walked towards the City centre I managed to catch two policemen in their car who had obviously passed through the lights before their way was clear.

The black car had to veer around them because his lights were on green.

Naughty boys!

0407AtLightsAs I got into town proper I then espied Nottingham pedestrians crossing at the same junction as yesterday against the lights again.

I of course waited for the little man to turn green before moving, cause I’m a good boy.

The rain and Angina persisted and I wandered up and took some ‘bling’ photographs for the TFZ gals.

Then caught a bus back to Carrington and fed the pigeons craftily on me walk to the flea-pit.

0408noshWC’s, put me nosh away, kettle on, passed the tiniest little plop of wind from the rear and nearly gassed missen!

No Inchcocks were harmed in the production of this Diary… today anyway up to now. Hehehe!

Took an angina pill, rubbed some extra Phorpain gel into me knees and hands and passed wind again. Worrying this is… but it stopped later – not the passing of wind, that seems endless, but the aroma was not so pungent thankfully.

Turned the laptop on and got a message: Dell Inspiron – Battery supply cannot be determined and will not charge in DOS. Then took me to dreaded blue screen with tons of information I knew nothing and understood nothing of what was on the screen. I just clicked save and exit… Windows then opened as normal. Internet opened alright, Apache works, Coreldraw even working now?

Started doing this diary and guess what – Coreldraw let me import. Still jumpy screen and very slow but working.

Oh this flipping Anne Gyna… must get to make appointment to see GP see if I can go back on the under-tongue stuff.

Had a meal of frankfurters in bread thins with bbq sauce a yoghurt and a drink of Citrus flavoured spring water with me medications.

Watched some ‘Heartbeat’ episodes and enjoyed them.

Got me head down, took ages to nod off again… Tsk!

Inchcock Today: Tues 3rd February – Launderette Day

Tuesday 3rd February 2015

Managed to get some much needed kip in last night.

Bits of dreams remembered:

Underground rats, feral cats and nurses in Victorian uniforms… soldiers lying all over the place but they were in Werhmacht uniforms and every one looked like the other in their faces… Dusty Springfield was the Sister and Hattie Jacques the Matron – I was in a line of patients waiting to be tended to along with soldiers who were headless, missing limbs, burned all over, eyes missing and all very thin in tatty blood covered uniforms – I had a splinter in my little finger and wondered why I was there at all.

Eventually an electric powered coffin on wheels arrived and they all started looking for me… I hid in a sewer and found Aneurin Bevan in there and we started to play cards and I lost every hand and seemed glad about this…?

Up and made a cuppa and took me medications.

Started laptop and visited the porcelain to check on ‘things’ – Much blood removed from the rear end – Cleaned it up again.

CreamHPrep H cream applied to the rear tenderness area, Phorpain Gel applied to my knees feet and hands and the rumbling grumbling innards were no worse thankfully.

I must get the laundry gathered and thing ready to take to the launderette with me, yer know… powder tablets, dryer balls, softener, cash, book to read dried seaweed to nibble etc I thought… fell asleep!

Coreldraw unstable again.

Went down and got the nibbles ready for the nurses and gals

at the launderette.

Washed and abluted, got missen dressed properly like, made sure I’d got me shoes and not slippers on, the right spectacles on, Free pensioners bus-pass, INR and Clinic paperwork with me.

0202skyGot the two bags of washing and set off to the launderette… the sleet and snow came down as I was locking the front door behind me… the kids passing by being taken to school thought it was marvellous… I wasn’t too keen.

Still, by the time I’d got to the launderette it had turned to dizzly rain.

Big John was outside having a fag. We had a natter and got on with our washing.

John soon finished his and I had to ask Mandy how to use the new soap thingies I’d got – apparently you have to put the pouches in with the clothes in the drum. I knew that really I just wanted to talk to Mandy.

Eventually I got the togs cleaned and dried and hobbled back to the mausoleum. Put the togs away and set off to the bus-stop on Mansfield Road – a little too wet for a walk into town this morning and time was pressing to get to me appointments.

Limped down to the bus-stop. The bus was full and I opened a pack of roasted seaweed and nibbled at some – the curious looks I was getting told me people wanted to ask what it was I was eating, but nobody did.

Dropped off in town and called into the Poundland shop and they did have some cheapo Lion Bars in, so I grabbed 3 packs of 4 bars at obviously a quid each. Ans some bits to add to the nurses nibble bag, then over the road to catch another bus out to the Queens Medical Centre.

Another conversation with a passenger ensued:

Inchcock:

Lady:

Inchcock: ‘Good morning’

Lady: ‘ I beg your pardon?’

Inchcock: ‘ Good morning!’

Lady: ‘Why is it?’

Inchcock: ‘Well I meant, are you having a good morning’

Lady: ‘ No… but you’ve cheered me up a bit asking me!’

Inchcock: ‘My pleasure!’

Lady: ‘I’m getting off the bus now… shame!”

With that she waddled off at the next stop – Confused a bit there I wus!

0203qmc1With that she waddled off at the next stop – Confused a bit there I wus!Dropped off at the QMC and as I was walking towards the entrance I glanced over the railings to the lower floor and saw two vehicles parked on the tatty yellow No Parking lines , next to a pedestrian crossing and the Emergency Ambulance entrance on – Naughty!

Still maybe with the shortage of parking spaces they might have let them off?

0203qmc2I got into the haematology – very very busy and was eventually seen to and gave the gals their nibbles, but they had no time to talk today – blimey never seen so many folk there.

Walked a different way back out and got lost for a while, but soon got me bearings again. It’s well sign posting there.

0204GUMCaught the free hospital to hospital bus to the Nottingham City Hospital and the G.U.M. Clinic – having remembered to take me daily swabs of blood with me. Superior mode adopted here

I had gloved hands where no man should have them poked – samples taken and instructed to ‘Carry on as I have been doing’ the results are expected in 7 days and I will be contacted then.

0206bulbusI thanked them, and uncomfortably waddled out and caught the bus into Bulwell.

The rain had almost stopped now.

I wandered over to the river Leen to see if the Mallard ducks were about and they were.

0205BulpSo I went into a shop and bought some bread for them and returned to the river bank and fed the little mites – I love seeing them squabble and contest for the food, and for some reason their quacking doesn’t annoy me at all I like the sound of them.

Then I fed the pigeons some seed and earthworms before walking over to the Bulwell Market Place.

0207MS01The danger was the Mobility Scooter mad drivers… and many of them today there was as well!

One was having beer brought out to him on his Mobility Scooter outside the pub – and sounded very 0207MS02verbal… it really should not be allowed drink driving whatever the vehicle surely? I suppose he might have been a bit tipsy?

Another, a woman who might I think might have been suffering from Tourette’s Syndrome, she was not arguing with the market people at all, but won’t half using some choice vocabulary with ’em.

Then the big bloke with the bobble hat was much interested in going where he wanted as fast as he could and sod anyone in his way!

All a danger to pedestrians especially the less nimble ones… like wot I am…hehehe!

I poddled into Fultons Food store and had a look see if they had any of me favourite backcurrant/ice cream suckers in… but no. I’m getting withdrawal symptoms I think?

They did have some pots of buttery instant mash in, about the size of a Pot Noodle at 30p each, so I had to get some to try them like.

0208cycleWhen I came out of the shop two young gits on a push-bikes nearly had me – like lightning I got me camera out and shouted at them – well they were in a pedestrianised area… what one of them shouted back hangs between men’s legs! The other added a word that rhymes with Tanker!

I woddled to the bus-station and caught one back to Carrington – I know I’ve said this before and I suppose I will again, often – but I do so appreciate the free pensioners bus-pass!

0207MS03Read the weather forecast for Nottingham on the bus for Thursday – the only day Sister Jane and Pete can accommodate a visit from me:

“Rain Storms!”

Am I just lucky or what?

0209CarringI dropped off the bus on Hucknall Road and thought how beautiful the sky was – so took a photograph of it from the hill top – which on reflection was not a good idea.

Why you ask? (I hope)

Because when I turned away after taking it, a… nearly swore badly there, A git on the pavement on his bike came so close to hitting me I felt the draught!

But luckily these things don’t bother me like…

WWarnLie

0210SherbRdSo onward back to Flea-pit, and as I was walking down my street I took a photograph of the Mount Beulah Apostolic Church – I see it seems to have light spots on it? Wonder wot went wrong there?

I hope the camera isn’t playing up. I’ll take another photo now and see how it 0207MS04turns out… hang on…

Mmm. no white spots of lights this time – but a bit shadowy?

Oh dear…

I keep catching this bloody touch-pad and all sorts of things keep happening on screen, Tsk!

Anyroad I got int’ house and attended the porcelain room urgently – no blood, but well sore in the rear department.

Made a cuppa and started this Diary.

Brewed another mug of tea and took me medications – then the search began for me mobile phone.

Found it eventually in the pyjama pocket I was wearing… I know… sad.

Had a pot of potatoes and a beef pasty for nosh, followed my two mousses and later a Lion bar.

Took ages to get to kip again…

Inchcock Today: Sat 31st January 2015 – Sleepless night…Tsk!

Saturday 31st January 2015

Spent the night trying to get to sleep without any luck at all?

Gave up and made a cuppa and took me medications – then fell asleep!

Had to rush about a bit (Well I say rush… hobble rapidly is more like it) to get things ready for me visit to Sister Jane, she is not one to cross by being late believe me!

Had a shave and got missen spit and polished – got the things to take with to get Pete’s birthday and pay him a visit and I set off… then returned to change into me shoes from me slippers and set-off again…

0601

I caught the bus into town to save time being as I had got a little behind this morning (They can’t touch me for it… can they?).

I got off at the Victoria bus station and took a photo of the Victoria flats (Apartments) and the sky that held clouds that seemed to be travelling at great speeds across the sky, I half expected the picture to come out blurred. Hehe!

0601aI walked through the bus-station and into the top-level of the shops – sneaking some seeds to the pigeons on my way through – and I made for the Menkind Shop, after a look around I chose some pressies for Brother-in-law Pete that I thought he and Sister Jane would both like.

I opted for these three here like wot I photographicalised.

They both seemed to appreciate the humour in the first two, and the novelty and practicality of the ‘pen’.

I made me way in the wind and rain to the bus-stop for the West Bridgford buses and caught one quickly. Just avoiding being clouted by a cyclist on the pavement as I joined the queue – Git!

The bus was well crammed with passengers and when it came time for me get off – the left knee was restrained by Arthur Itis and I missed the bus-stop. Tsk!

Hey-ho, not too much rain when I alighted and started the short 10 minute walk to Jane’s posh house.

Mind you some of the pavements where no sun had got to needed a bit of careful manoeuvring along, due to the reattainment of the earlier snow making them a little slippery in places and the knee still not to enthusiastic about being used.

0601bI arrived at their dwelling and was greeted and was given a cup of tea – I mentioned it was a bit weak and Pete said it was the tea-bags I’d recommended for them because they were strong ones, Glengettie brand. I said I couldn’t believe it it was so weak. With a smile Pete added “Probably because he’s made three cups with one tea-bag! Tight wad! Hehe.

0604I got Pete to take some head shots of me so I could doctor and use them later in me graphics, oh and one of me and Sister Jane to put on Facebook for the TFZ gals and guys.

When Jane viewed the photo on the camera she said:

“Ah, the dimple family!”

0605Then I took one of Jane and Pete that I thought came out alright.

They were wearing red because they were going to the Nottingham Forest match against Millwall later – that is why I had to visit them earlier than usual.

0603Oh, I almost forgot, I took a photograph of Fooey – in his usual position in his favourite chair – sleeping!

He’s getting on now, like all of us and I have always felt an affinity with him – he’s old, friendly, poorly, deaf and pretty ugly bless him.

We had a natter for a while (Jane Pete and me that is, Fooey doesn’t yer know… Hehe) and then I walked to the bus-stop with Pete who was going to the shops and I caught a bus into Nottingham.

0606As we walked into West Bridgford centre Pete pointed out some Mistletoe growing high up in a tree. So unusual I took a photograph of it from under the tree. Never seen that before?

Then on to the bus-stop where Pete carried on to do his shopping.

Again the bus was crammed full but I was just glad to be travelling for free

with me bus-pass, particularly with the knees playing up so.

As I got off the bus in town at an early stop to have a little walk around, the wind was getting stronger although it was not a cold one.

I wandered around for a while and called into an Asian store on Goosegate got some seaweed and blackbean sauce.

0607As I came out of the store I noticed several vehicles parked on the double yellow lines near the DG Cabs HQ.

Naughty!

As I limped towards the bus-stop for the Carrington buses, I espied another dangerous cyclist-swine crossing the traffic lights and onto the pavement – 0608again!

By the way, when I was in the MenKind shop – I saw they were selling although they were out of stock today and were unsure when or if they would get any more – A pen camera! Must look again there, might get one to record the naughty cyclists on Nottingham pavements?

Back in Carrington I remembered I’d forgotten to make an appointment with the GP. Tsk!

Popped in the Co-op to get some bread. On the shuffle back to the dump I sneaked the pigeons who massed around me some seeds.

Got in and WC’d and the rumbling continued from me innards, but Arthur Itis was more bothersome today, and the rear-end piles were bleeding again. Still, yer don’t like to complain do yers?

Decided to have braised beef and instant potatoes for me nosh… ended up having beef sandwiches and microwave chips.

So tired now, hope for some sleep tonight.

TTFN all.
