Inchcock – Wednesday 3rd May 2017

3Wed03

Wednesday 3rd May 2017

Bulgarian: Сряда 03 Май 2017

After a bad night of many up and to the Porcelain Throne trips and back to the £300 second-hand recliner, I gave up trying to sleep and rose around 0410hrs.

Somehow I managed to get some dreams in, although no details remain in my fuddled mind. Just a sensation of shame and guilt?

The area around the recliner was once more littered with unfathomable articles. The quilt cover thing3Wed07y to the chair was discarded, the headphone connection to the cable had been pulled out, some INR Anticoagulation Records sheets were scattered around, the old mobile that I use to play snake on and all remote controls were on the floor! The back cushion laying on the old chair next to it?

The new mobile it seems, I’d been sleeping on, that was on the cushion, and that cushion had been placed above the haemorrhoid ring one? The lid to the ottoman was half opened, and the waste bin lid had been wedged open? Cleared it up and reset everything, with a puzzled brain as to what, how and why these things had been done. Going bonkers perhaps?

3Wed04The innards demanded the use of the porcelain throne again… messy. Cleaned things up and added a diarrhoea relief capsule to the morning medications pot.

Put the short-dated reduced in price belly pork I got from Tesco yesterday in the Crock-Pot and got it going. Unsure if this was a good idea with the innards rumbling and running frequently again?

Did the Health Checks.

3Wed08a

Back to the Porcelain Throne, false alarm this time, all wind.

Made a mug of tea and took the medications. Hoping the Morrison’s capsules will work as well as they did last time I needed them.

Finalised the diary for Tuesday and started this one off.

Back to the Porcelain Throne, cleaned up afterwards and back on the computer.

3Wed08aDid some WordPress reading.

Tried to some graphicationalisationing, but emails and alerts coming in at a fast rate.

Results of the INR blood test email from the surgery arrived.

Back on with the graphics.

Got one finished eventually, CorelDraw 2017

biLyzzi.jpg

kept crashing and acting odd, not letting me do some things?

But I manage to get this one done and finished, not one of my best efforts, but I was getting fed-up with the problems. Tsk!

3Wed09Oh, the pork cooking…

Saved the day with the pork, but it got cold by the time I failed to clean the Crock-pot, pot if you see what I mean?

Left it soaking in bleach, washing up liquid and oven cleaner, while I tried to eat the meal. Which, went down alright.

Put a Vicar of Dibley DVD in and settled to watch it.

Withing minutes I had to visit the Porcelain Throne – Oh, dear!

Cleaned things up, and went into the kitchen to make a mug of tea and get the medications. While in there I did my best to clean the Crock-Pot bowl, but it is still stained so much, it looks terrible. Tsk!

Got some nibbles in the bag for the morning, to donate to the voting/election staff at the Winwood Community Hut.

Back to the DVD.

Nodded off. Woke and found a missed call from Sister Jane. Rang her back, then she rang me again. Nice to hear from her. I got another demand for the Throne while gossiping with Jane and had to abandon the call hastily – but got there just in time.

Once more back to the DVD and managed to watch all the episodes. Changed to the TV and nodded off again.

Had to climb out of the £300 second-hand recliner and to the Throne, again.

Nodded-off once more.

Inchcock – Tuesday 2nd May 2017: Marathon hobble, and tram rides today! Late attack of the Runs!

3Wed0001

Tuesday 2nd May 2017

Czech: Úterý 02.05.2017

Woke and up 0330hrs, the dreams I’d think I was having lingered for a moment before drifting off into the ether Tsk! No notes found on the pad either.

2Tue001aNoticed the scribbled note I’d left on the computer scene to remind me of the INR Blood Test with the Surgery nurse later today.

Alighting the £300 second-hand recliner Dizzy Dennis paid me a visit, getting to my feet I found a collection of items on the floor… torch, remote control, pencil, notepad, a squashed tube of Betamethasone cream and a spoon scattered about?

I wondered what I must have been dreaming about that might have caused this mess… Hehehe!

Had a pot of the high protein Porridge for the first time. Very filling, but no better taste than the usual cheapo ones.

Had a search for the INR record card and bus pass without any luck. Humph! Then did the Health Checks.  2Tue04 The body temperature had gone up again.

Found the bus-pass.

2Tue03It was cold this morning, a bit of mist lingering in the air.

Another thing, the twisting outwards of the right ankle was far less pronounced?

What’s going on today?

Arthur Itis in a good mood, Duodenal Donald far easier, Anne Gyna being kind to me, Water retention had gone, Roger Reflux was calm, and when I visited the throne, there was no bleeding again from Haemorrhoid Harold. I’m worried! May they be planning for an Accifauxpa or Whoopsiedangleplop attack? Haha!

I put on the alarm for 0850hrs to remind me to get ready, ablutions, etc. to go to the INR blood test in Carrington in time.

Took the medications and weighed me – it was down again!

2Tue05Found a scrawled note on a used envelope near the recliner.

Wondered what the heck I was trying to write? Got the dairies updated.

2Tue001aThen did some WordPress reading for an hour or two, then went onto Facebook for a while before having to close down and get ready for the surgery visit, and weather permitting, a nice steady long hobble into town to catch the tram into Hucknall.

Felt I needed the exercise.

Into the wetroom to do the ablutions, and observed that not only were the legs seemingly even whiter than yesterday, the right one was far thinner than the left one?

The brain seemed to be racing away on its own for a while, palpitations for a second or two and then whatever it was I was thinking of, fearing or considering, vanished from the brain altogether.

Dressed took the bin bags to the refuse chute and set off on the walk to the surgery.

2Tue06Going down Winchester Street hill, those with flower things that seem so intricate and beautiful were still radiant.

Down and left into Hood Street, right down Marshall Street, then left onto Mansfield Road and up the gradient in the direction of Carrington and the GP surgery.

Not much traffic around, but there was the 2Tue07usual Nottingham Pavement Cyclists of course.

This Herbert on the left, I turned around to take his photograph – he very nearly had over.

But, I don’t think he was aware of it as I saw he had earphone thingies on his head as he passed by so closely at a high rate of knots. Bless him.

Up over the hill and down to the surgery. Logged in, sat down and got the crossword book out.

The nurse fetched me in and got the INR blood test done. When I told her of my going to Hucknall, she pointed out a cheapo shop for me to try, near Tesco. I was soon out and hobbling through Carrington on my way into town.

3Wed01.jpg

2Tue08Near the Lidl store on the opposite side of the road, I turned and took a photographicalisation of the lack of traffic and people this morning.

Hehe! I might have guessed it was the EQ that told me to seize this photograph, as seconds later another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist overtook me from behind, not leaving much of a gap twixt I and him.

2Tue09aOnward, the weather just right for walking, not hot, not cold and a gentle breeze. Feeling good (For a while?).

Near the college bus-stop, I just missed making it three Pavement Cyclist in a row, and the one I wanted to photograph turned left into some flats before I could take the shot. However, I realised I’d caught a nice one of Nottingham Street Art?

2Tue10The man-hole covers protected by the plastic erections were Gas Repairs. I thought as I passed, in the old days when I was alive, any works like this from the then, British Gas Works would have stunk something awful!

Haha!

Passed the traffic island junction and up the hill by the Rock Cemetery, over the lights and down 2Tue11on the last leg of the hobble into town.

Still so few people and traffic.

As I passed a pub, it brought back memories of when as a teenager I was in digs that were ar the back of this pub at the time.

It was so long ago, but the landlady and one of her daughters, Audry I think, came back to 2Tue12mind and I nearly walked into this dustbin!

I wondered if something catastrophic had happened?

Pressed on down the hill, still a bit confused as to where everyone was? I knew I had the time right. Otherwise, the surgery would not have been open?

2Tue14In the City, Milton Street, still not much happening people-wise. Did I wonder if the Bank Holiday Monday had tempted folks to take some sickies? Or where they hungover?

You never know?

To the end and crossed over Upper Parliament Street, nearing what is traditionally Nottingham’s busiest pedestrian street, Clinton 2Tue15Street, I found a good few Nottinghomians there.

Limped through them and made my way to the tram stop.

Wish I had knowledge of how to use the video on the camera now. For I could have possibly done one for YouTube and this young lady in a what was obviously by her speed, must have 2Tue16been an 8 mph version, possibly one of the imported 12 mph disabled scooter was scattering the crowd with a determined sort of Jame Hunt ‘out-of-my-way’ sneer on her face!

Must remember to keep an eye out for a red and yellow scooter in town in future. Hehe!

Caught the tram on South Parade near the Council House and it was easy to find a seat too.

2Tue17At the Hucknall terminus we all dismounted and I walked to the shopping parade the nurse had told me about and had a wander around.

The store she suggested was called ‘Home Bargains’, a big one. I just paid a visit to the food part of it and got some sunflower hearts and black sunflower seeds for when I get to visit the Mallards again.

2Tue20Walked over to the Tesco store and went upstairs to see if they had any brown shoes that use a velcro fastener, or soft brown shoes. They had neither in stock, so I came down again and into the food section.

Spent a bit here: Fish Sticks, fresh pod peas, belly pork, Lemon cheesecake, lemon curd yoghourts and sourdough bread.

I enquired of the young lady on the checkout if I could use contactless payment with my card, because I can’t remember my new number, as soon as she had stopped talking to another member of staff. “Swipe there at the top” she listlessly instructed me. So I did, and nothing happened. The machine would not accept the swipe for the contactless payment. “That happens sometimes.” she said adding “Just put your number in then!” I pointed out that I’d already told her about my not remembering the code, this is why I’m trying to use the contactless payment… “Pay in cash then” was her response.

A good job they were not busy (I wonder why?) as I knew I’d had not enough money left after spending at the other shop, so searched all through my bag and pockets in the hope of remembering the number or if I had written it in the code somewhere. As the gal sat there lifting her eyes to the ceiling occasionally and non-verbally issuing non-covert “Silly old fart” signs to the other staff, and my not finding it, I had one go at putting it in, fearing I might lose the use if I got it wrong… Blimey! It took it!

I shall not be visiting here again in a hurry.

2Tue18Back to the tram terminus and I was soon on my way back into Nottingham. Got the crossword book out and had a bash.

By the time we got to Bulwell, the tram had filled up. The seats on the tram were so small. I put away the book and started nibbling at the fresh pod peas. By the time I neared the Nottingham stop, over half of them had been eaten!

At Hyson Green the tram actually filled up, a chap had to squash in, and I did my best to make room for him. When it came to getting up for the stop, the knees and ankles had stiffened so much, this chap helped me to get out of the seat – I did feel a fool!

Hobbled limpingly to the L9 bus stop and met fellow tenant and Social Hour friend Bill (William on Sundays) and he seemed confused. He said he’d been to the Post Office and didn’t know about the take a ticket routine and was now late for the doctor’s appointment. Poor old Bill. He went down the road and caught a number 40 bus that was going out, but there is a fair walk from the bus stop it drops off at, and crossing the road is very dangerous there on the bends. The L9 was due in five minutes as well… then I realised if he were going to his doctors from town, the 40 route would be better for him.

I was fighting falling asleep on the bus. But as luck would have it, some lady tenants got on en route, and they made sure I did wake up in time. Hehehe!

2Tue19Back in the flat, to the wetroom for a wee-wee, got the kettle on, took the medications, did the health checks and got the meal prepared.

Decided to have potatoes curried beans, Wieska three small slices of sourdough bread and two mini pork pies.

A Greek-style plain yoghourt with Maple Syrup mixed into it, followed.

I think I left 75% of it. Eyes too big for the thingy again, and I got the seasoning wrong for the beans too? And of course eating the porridge earlier might have had an effect?

1Mon17

After my failed attempt to at the fodder, I washed the pots then settled to watch a Frost DVD.

Fell asleep almost immediately, woke up and rewound, then repeated the nodding off again.

Woke, gave up and put the TV on to watch Top Gear and went to fetch a drink of orange juice from the fridge…

Whoopsiedangleplop!

I’d left the hot water tap running again! Stone cold now.

I didn’t fair any better with my TV viewing either, so gave up, turned everything off and drifted off quickly.

Then I awoke with the stomach rumbling and many trips to the Porcelain Throne followed throughout the night… Oh dear!

TTFN.

Inchcock – Bank Holiday Monday, 1st May 2017 – No buses!

1Mon001

Bank Holiday Monday, 1st April 2017

Welsh: Llun Gŵyl y Banc, 1 Ebrill, 2017

Didn’t wake until 0535hrs, I must have needed the rest?

Out of the almost scarily shuddering £300 second-hand recliner, kicked a bottle of Spring Water over and off to the Porcelain Throne for a heavy duty session. All went very well, no blood from Haemorrhoid Harold, Little Inchy was not bleeding again (although stinging a bit), Duodenal Donald not bad at all, Anne Gyna ever present lately it seems, but showing less severity than of late, Reflux Roger was calm, Haemorrhoid Harold was not bleeding and Harry Hernia only showing the slightest signs of discontentment. If things stay like this, I’ll be content too. Fingers crossed here.

1Mon01Applied the creams, lotions and potions where needed.

Then made a nice strong mug of tea and had my breakfast.

Hehe! Well, medications. At first, I thought I’d got the dosages wrong and tried to figure out which tablets/capsules I’d missed off – then realised there was fewer to take, due to the Morphine Sulphate being suspended.

Did the first daily Health-Checks, and finalised the weeks log on Excel. TLhis mornings readings were fine? Sys160, Dia 87, Pulse 85, Temp 33.9, Weight 14.75

All looking fine to me?

1Mon03

I was fauchling things on the keyboard a lot for some reason this morning?

Came across the dream notes from last night when I started doing the diaries. Seems I was having a series of them where I was being interviewed, questioned, interrogated by various personages. Sentences were passed, and I thanked them? A lot of the scribbled notes I couldn’t decipher. But it was apparent that the electric chair and deportation were in there somewhere. I got sent back and had to face the same interrogators I think?

1Mon02The Morrison delivery arrived. The driver was in a good mood this morning, mostly because it being a Bank Holiday, the traffic was almost non-existent he said.

I put the fodder away, managing almost without any effort, to drop the jar of pickled onions… and it did not break! Fair enough, it hit my knee on the way down, though.

Always concerns and worries me things like this happening. The jar not smashing and no mess to clean up… it’s just not the usual occurrence for me. Hehe!

Went on Facebook to catch-up.Did some graphics for the TFZer site.

Did some graphics for the TFZer site.

A depression came over me suddenly, the darkness and feeling of abandoned hopes arrived so quickly and brutally, I stopped doing anything and just sat feeling sorry for myself and going over all my mistakes, errors and foolish misread intentions I’d done and committed through my life and just could not stop doing this?

It took hours before I could regain some sort of control, but I did, still felt a bitterness towards myself, but coped much better with it, I think.

I actually cheered up a bit after I’d hit my head on the airing cupboard shelve as I dropped the jammies taking them out. Confused and now feeling hungry, I sorted the food out and changed into the nightwear, noticing how terribly white and pale my skin looked tonight? And, the leg’s water retention had almost gone, my chicken legs and dangly arms were back! Hehe!

No wonder the weight was well down yet again on the last of the Health Checks. The pulse was beating away with a venom mind. Tsk!

1Mon18.jpg

1Mon19Got the fodder served up.

Not a lot, but just as well, as I couldn’t eat it all or anywhere near all of it. And, I thought I felt rather hungry earlier too?

Despite this, the stomach rumbled annoyingly afterwards. But Duodenal Donald was kind to me, although persistent, his pains were moderate for once. I cheered a bit at this.

Got some Political pamphlets through the door, local elections this Thursday. Oh, and one for the June General Election too.

1Mon17a

They were an amusing read.

Settled to fall asleep watching the gogglebox.

TTFN all.

Inchcock – Sunday 30th April 2017

7Sun001

Sunday 30th April 2017

Macedonian: Недела 30-ти април 2017 година

0400hrs: Sweating a bit this morning. Fractures bits of dreams were there, but not enough to make any sense of.Up and out of the £300 second-hand recliner and got the washing bad and down and got it going in the washer.

Up and out of the £300 second-hand recliner and got the laundry bag and down and got it going in the washer.

Up to the flat and visited the Porcelain Throne with no problems.

Made a cuppa and started doing the diaries.

Down and moved the clothes into the dryer.

Back in the flat 0500hrs, took the medications and did the Health Checks:

Sys 146, Dia 82, Pulse 100, Temp 36.1, Weight 14.69 (Down a smidge he says with his little chest swelling out. Hehe!) Apart from the pulse a bit high all looked good to me. And because I wrongly did these checks in between nipping up and on the lift. I suppose the pulse being so high, is to be expected? Bet it’ll be back down on the next checks.

7Sun01aTook this photograph through the kitchen window, leaving the lights on in the front room to reflect onto it.

I made a strong mug of tea. Did some graphicationalisationing, and it was soon time to go back down to the laundry room to collect the washing. (0600hrs).

Took the camera down with me.

7Sun01Bits of fluff had attached to the clothing, and it took me ages to pick it all off of them. I guess I didn’t check the filter well enough, it looked cleaned to me when I got the stuff into the dryer.

Ah well, that’ll teach me not to take short cuts.

Packed the into the bag, cleaned the filter and drum and back one more time up to the mini-flatlet.

Got some potatoes into the Crock-Pot adding a drop of dark Soy Sauce in place of salt to them.

Started on the diaries, beginning this one.

WordPress reading next.

Onto Facebooking.

Second checks completed and the pulse had gone down okay. Sys 150, Dia 85, Pulse 85, Temp 36.1. Excellent!

Then decided to have a walkabout hobble with my camera, just around the block so as to speak. So I got a good scrub-up adorned clean clothing and set off on the little trip out.

7Sun02a

7Sun02b

No personages met at all on the way down in the lift or front foyer.

Crossed over the road and onto the field to get to the entry point for the Croft.

There, in between the weeds, daisies, dandelions and was a single buttercup, blowing in the wind. I jut had to start the walkabout with a photographicalisation of it, it was so 7Sun03beautiful and fresh looking.

The well-beaten pathway up through the Croft was mounted at a really slow idle pace – I was in no rush and wanted to have a good look around. Which was a little disappointing I’m afraid, for two reasons?

One, the rubbish that had been tipped in between the lovely old trees. And the fact that I thought I’d taken a picture, well, two pictures of the crap… but when I got home and downloaded the camera card, none were found?

7Sun04Upwards and onwards to the park, and had a roundabout walk down to Mansfield Road.

Taking a photograph of a group of friends with their animals, from through the trees.

I get pleasure from seeing the dogs playing and having fun. A touch of jealousy creeps in too, I think? Hehe!

The feet were already beginning to sting a bit, but no bother from Duodenal Donald or Anny Gyna at the moment.

7Sun04aOn to Mansfield Road, up over the hill and down into Sherwood.

Sparsely populated today, then again it is a Sunday. (Please note: I got the day right today. Haha!)

Did lots of window shopping on the way down to Winchester Street.

Dropped into the Wilko store and got face cloths and spectacle cleaners. Had a dizzy at the check-out and dropped the change the gal was giving me – did feel a fool!

7Sun4bReally slowly now, I ‘ambled with a limp’ down to the lights and left up onto Winchester Street Hill.

A few yards along on the left in this picture is the entrance bounded by a low Derbyshire Stone, a wall with flowers and shrubs planted.

As I approached it, some Nottingham Street Art 7Sun4cI found!

Three-quarters of a slice of buttered toast, a bag of gone-off-rancid food of some description, broken tiles, bricks, a box of ice-pops and cigarette packets adorned the corner of the wall that had been knocked down.

And these dumped items were right next to the most beautiful of plants!

As I walked up the hill and Anne Gyna started grumbling, I came across more wonderful plants on the side of the pavements.T

7Sun4dTheir names I know not, being a townie – but I knew they were nature’s wonders. Especially the one in the middle above. Almost reminded me of a close-up of a snowflake or something that had been embroidered?

The leg of the hill was a battle, but as I say, I was in no rush and took a few breaks when I took the photos.

7Sun4e

Rounded the corner onto Chestnut Walk, and I hobbled along with a little quicker limp now – The bladder was informing me of a need for a wee-wee was becoming urgent! Tsk!

Made it in time.

I thought how nippy it was in the apartment. Then realised I’d left both windows open, so I closed one.

7Sun05

I put the Wilko purchases away.

Kettle on and checked the Crock-pot, the tatties were doing fine.

Kettle on and made a cuppa took the midday medications, got the computer going and updated this diary.

Had to nip for another wee-wee, though?

Added some of these photos to the TFZ site.Back to working on the next TFZer graphic.

Back to working on the next TFZer graphic.

Spent hours, only to lose it all when CorelDraw froze! Grumph!

7Sun06aGot the meal prepared.

Raw pod peas (The last of them), beetroot, potatoes boiled with soy sauce in the water, a fish cakes, battered cod balls and mushrooms. Two slices of sourdough bread (The last two).

With to follow, a plain Greek-style yoghourt with Marle Syrup stirred into the pot.

Did the washing up then settled to try and watch some Jonathan Creek DVD episodes – again I nodded off before the thing started, and again I remembered bits of the dreams I’d had when I woke later and wrote some notes down to record from later.

There was no need for ant berceuse tonight. Turned off the box and TV as was in the land of nod in moments!

Inchcock – Thursday 27 April 2017: Busiest Day of the Year!

4Thur01.jpg

Thursday 27 April 2017

Arabic: الخميس 27 أبريل 2017

0300hrs: Woke, reluctantly, tried to get back to sleep, knew I’d been dreaming, but again, no memories of them. I hate that. Hehe! Gave up trying to nod off again when the urge to visit the porcelain throne appeared.

Flipping cold this morning.

Out of the £300 second-hand recliner and nearly went over as Dizzy Dennis caught me unawares as I dismounted. Onto the throne and Duodenal Donald kicked in and the stomach rumbling began. Thought about how I enjoyed yesterday’s Fish and Chip meal and how foolish I was to have gone for it.

Carried out the Health Checks and printed the last few day off so as to show the doctor later on.

4Thur02

All those 163 to 174 Sys readings and then it goes down to 155 on the day I go to see the Doctor? Humph! The weight down a bit again too, mind you, I got onto the scales after the Porcelain Throne session.

Took the medication4Thur03s.

I threw back the curtains as it began to get lighter, and realised why it was so nippy, I’d left the window open!

Humph!

Did some WordPress reading done, made a mug of strong tea… during which I had to make a rather hasty a trip back to the porcelain… just in time! Great! The runs, on a day I’ve got to go to the surgery, chemist, back for the Social Hour, back out to the bank, then the clinic!

4Thur04Back to put the above photograph on here, and noticed some smoke in it, left of the right curtain.

Got a close-up of it from the kitchen window.

No emergency lights were showing. Looked like it was on the housing estate?

Got the paperwork for the day’s needs, Surgery, Bank and Clinic into a folder, put the raffle prizes and nibbles in the bag for the Social Hour and staff. Realised I had not booked an appointment with the Doctor’s Nurse for the Tuesday INR Blood Test… Huh! I’ll have to go to the City Hospital for it then. Far too late to get an appointment for Tuesday now. Hey-ho!

Made some reminder notes to take with me to avoid forgetting to mention something to the Doctor.

Updated this twollop.

Ablutions tended to.

Remembered to gather the things for the Nottingham Hospice Charity Shop to take them with me – plan to walk up through the park, up over the hill and to the surgery.

Set out and went the wrong way, half way along Chestnut Walk, I stopped and walked back in the opposite direction, so as to go to the Nottingham Hospice shop – stopped again when I realised I’d put their stuff in the wrong bag, and went back in the original direction. I’ll bet someone was watching and thinking; Look at that fool, what’s he up to now? Hehe!

4Thur05Plenty of time to spare so I took a nice steady hobble down the hill.

Damn it, I had not got the hearing aids in!

A bit of an obstacle course on the pavement with the bins lined up for collection, but still.

Anne Gyna now amalgamated with Duodenal Dennis, and this was most annoying and persistent. Hey-ho!

4Thur06Left and up the hill on Mansfield Road and over the crest… or should that be apex or maybe the crown of the road?

The traffic was building up here in Carrington as I had to stop a few moments to let Anne Gyna calm down.

Even Roger Reflux had a go at me then.

Tsk! Not feeling well at all, yet oddly not poorly.

Does that make sense to you?

4Thur07Further down the hill as I approached the surgery, a sudden uplifting insanity came over me… no not insanity, erm, jollity!

I found Dennis had eased off quickly and I was singing to myself?

Well, maybe insanity after all. Hehe!

I got into the Surgery and consulted my list of things to remember and asked the receptionist if I had booked in for Monday or Tuesday for an INR Blood Test, she confirmed that I had, for 1020hrs. I thanked her, took my seat and got out the crossword book. Noticing as I did, some new posters on the board. It seems the senior Doctor is retiring and Dr Vinla is currently interviewing for a replacement. I thought she was off ill? Big decisions to make for her.

A locum for Dr Vinla was on duty today.

I was told to go in and the Doctor, a far Eastern Gentleman was very cross with me for forgetting the hearing aids, and when I had to ask for confirmation or misheard him, it made him angrier still. Oh dear! Got it wrong again didn’t I? But he was straight to the point. Well, in all but when I asked about and explained the depression and anxiety symptoms, which he told me we all have, and told me to leave it until Dr Vindla returned and warned me that referrals take months sometimes.

Duodenal Donald and Anne Gyna’s hassle I mentioned. He said to double up with the Omeprazole for a few days until things calm down. I pointed out that perhaps the stocks might run low, and he said if the do ask for some more later.

4Thur10I requested some extra Codeine Phosphates and was pleased when after he’d read my statistics on the computer, he agreed to do so, because of the Morphgesic SR 30 mg Tablets being stopped in readiness for the graft operation and it should be safe to take some extra 30g Codeines, in place of them. So glad he agreed to this, bless him.

I thanked him, left his office and gave the staff some nibbles in a bag and walked (Very painfully now the feet had started singing) down the road into Carrington and the Chemist shop.

4Thur11Deepak, the chemist and owner, asked me to have a talk with him while I waited for the prescription to be filled.

I mentioned how I was feeling depressed and why. Somehow it was easier to speak with him. A really nice chap, Deepak is.

The chinwag only took a few minutes, and I collected the medications and was off hobbling to the Lidl store.

4Thur08I got only three things today, A bag of small potatoes, a small packet of Sugar-Peas and two small cheese cobs.

I paid on the serve yourself till and got rid of all my small change.

Hehehe! I later regretted this.

Out to the bus stop, (Weary legs and feet now) and got lifted up into Sherwood. Where I dropped off and called at the bank as instructed by the bank manageress last week, to talk to her about the direct debits and how I wanted things handling.

I explained all this to the lady serving, put my card and number into the machine on the counter, and she seemed to concentrate and read things on the screen for ages and ages? I began to fear that something was wrong… My IQ told me something was wrong!

Eventually, after I nearly fell asleep a few times waiting, she said that the manageress was unavailable today??? She added in a wholly disquieting, nerve-making tone, (To me anyway!) That the transfer had gone through and I could now use the new card. Conviction, was missing in her voice? Knowing my luck, I found it hard to believe that things were alright with it. Time will prove me right, my IQ is rarely wrong. Watch this space! Oh, dear…

Started to hobble up the hill to see if any buses might be coming to get me back up to the flats and realised the L8 service had finished, so no matter what the time, no luck. As I knew the L9 route came at 25 minutes past the hour, and it was 54 minutes past now.

So I limped back the way I came from and walked up Winchester Street Hill back to the flats.

Amazingly, I arrived in time (Well, not very late anyway) for the Tenants Social Hour. But it was hard work not hearing folks unless they were next to me and I could see the lips.

Got the raffle tickets and donated them to a table of ladies, handed out the nibbles, managed a quick bit of a gossip with Penny and BJ – then decided to call it quits and go back to the flat to get the hearing aids and take some painkillers and an extra Omeprazole.

4Thur09Boy, was I lucky, just missed the downpour that started as I got in, put the fodder away and had a wee-wee before taking the midday and the extra medications. A bit of a mouthful that, Haha!

The rain was so fine it was hard to see, I’d got the hearing aids in by then and heard it more than saw it.

It only lasted a few minutes, but anyone in it would have recognised it as ‘That wet rain’ and got soaked through!

Did an order for Morrison’s while I thought of it. A job getting the new card accepted, but all okay now.

Set off on slow, nice and easy hobble to the Clinic at the City Hospital, remembering to take the attendance card and bus pass to get back with. See? Sometimes I can get things right, Hehe!

05Thu12.jpg

When I crossed over Valley Road at the pelican lights, a gentleman in a BMW went over on amber, gave me a fright he did.

I was well pleased with Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis and Duodenal Donald (Actually he was less bothersome now?) on the limp to the clinic. Only the feet gave me a lot of any bother. And no rain in sight. Come think of it, the roads might have been greasy, and that’s why Mr BMW didn’t try to stop? Glad I didn’t call him a naughty name now.

The usual Po-faced Obergruppenfurher on the reception again. I’ve worked out to annoy now. I keep a smile on my face and am extremely friendly and polite to him. Haha!

No waiting at all, I was called in within 2 minutes – into an office full of medical professionals and students. They explained As I thought about the Morphine removal being so that if I need it during the graft operation, it would be more efficient for me. The head man (I assumed as the others said nothing to him, except in answer to his prompting, but hung on his every word) explained the procedure in detail to me. But I will not repeat anything on here, cause it fritted me. Hehehe!

Then we all went into the treatment room, and they had a silent giggle and declared me all okay for the surgery to take place, as long as I have no more bad bleeds. After much embarrassment and poking and prodding, we returned back into the office and, he was a Mr, not Doctor? Advised me that having to cancel the original surgical time will mean a longer wait, this time around. Fair enough!  He gave me more cream.

I thanked him, got out into the reception area and smiled at Hitler, the sweetest smile I could manage and said Thank you, my friend, received a look back that should have killed me actually, and got out quickly. Hehe!

I was going to take a photographicalisation of the clinic but had left the camera in the flat. Tsk!

A number 40 bus arrived within seconds of my getting to the bus stop. All this good luck is very worrying yer know! If had got the camera and used it, I’d have missed the bus!

The uphill, but a short walk from the 40 bus stop back to to the apartment block, was excruciating for me, thanks to the state of the feet and Anne Gyna starting to kicking off again.

So glad to get back inside. Had a long wee-wee. Checked on the man and woman handled Little inchy, no bleeding. Phew!

Kettle on, and I took the evening medications then, got the computer on to update this again. Did the last Health Checks. Sys still a little high, but lower than the first two checks.

Oh, the feet and Anne Gyna… but Duodena4Thur08l Donald was bearable.

Got the fodder away went on Facebook catch-up then the meal was prepared and consumed.

The ‘Luxury’ fish surimi sticks were delicious and tasty. I didn’t eat all of it, left most of the potatoes, the pepper was a little too hot for me. The egg was of a plasticity and rubber texture that was unpleasant. However, I did have an orange sucker and a handful of chocolate balls afterwards.

Got the DVD going to watch some more of the Jonathan Creek episodes, the new headphones are marvellous.

Repeatedly fell asleep and had to rewind, so often I gave up trying.

Wednesday 26 April 2017

Afrikaans: Woensdag 26 April 2017

Stirred around 0400hrs, no dream memories at all. Out of the £300 second-hand recliner (Worked smoothly without any shakes and shudders this morning too!) and off to the Porcelain Throne. All okay there, no bleeding from the front or rear end, and things went easily, perhaps a bit too easily, but absolutely no pain during the process.

Did the Health Checks next. Sys 161, Dia 73, Pulse 85, Temperature 35.5 and the weight was down again! 14.10lb.

3Wed01Began to worry about if the Hygiene ladies would visit today.

Got a good few reminders on the calendar for today.

Mind you, tomorrow’s ‘Things to Do’ list is even busier.

Not sure how I committed myself to the Fish & Chips meal with a gang of other tenants today, though.

I’m not an eater-outer usually. I think Penny might have scared me into going. Hehehe!

She rang last night to remind me not 3Wed04to miss the 1130hrs bus, bless her.

Made a mug of tea and got the diary finished and posted, then started on this one to here.

Made a list of things to remember when I go out later – it was still there when I got back hours later. Tsk!

Done some WordPressing then I visited Facebook. Middle of posting Facebook became unresponsive the message said. Tsk! Came back on, though.

Graphics I did yesterday added to the TFZer site and put in albums.

25Apr17

25Apr17a

25Apr17b

On the last one, I tried to make it look like Lyzzi on the right was jumping up. Failed!

Carried out the ablutions.

No nurse arrived.

Washed some cleaning rags out and put them on the airer.

None of the Hygiene Ladies arrived.

Got the empty jars and bottles and went down and out to the recycle bin with them, then back into the foyer and waited for the bus with the other tenants going on the Free’ Nosh trip to Arnold.

3Wed05We piled on when the bus arrived and Penny gave a little lecture for a few minutes; I could not hear her and asked the cheery lady sat in front of me if it was anything important. She smiled and just said: “No dear!”

Had a bit of a dizzy after getting off the bus and during the little walk to the restaurant.

Couldn’t join in any conversations properly, other than with the chap sat next to me, so when those around laughed I laughed… that sort of thing.

The meal arrived in a convoy of servers and boy would you believe how some of them tenants ate so quickly. I had to take my time, partly due to Duodenal Donald and I needed to watch the others so I knew what cutlery to use and how to eat the food without embarrassing missen.

Battered haddock, mushy peas and chips. It didn’t look very appetising, but it tasted wonderful. Donald started grumbling before I finished, so I left a little of it. (Not much, mind, Hehe!)

I departed as some had done earlier, and went into Asda and had a wander around for ages. Had to take care not to allow any escapes of wind, as Reflux Roger joined in with Duodenal Donald giving some rotten attacks. Huh!

Ended up buying Fish Sticks, 4 miniature pork pies with pickle and next week,s TV paper – the buying of the magazine reminded me to look at the DVD players – Yes, I bought one. Not sure if I could handle setting it up, but the bloke two flats away said he would show me if I struggled to get it going.

To the bus stop and back to the apartment, in pain and well tired-out.

P1170430Wee-wee, kettle on and got the DVD thingy out and set it together okay, plugged it in, and the Jonathan Creek DVD started!

Needs a bit of colour, screen options and contrast sorting out later, when I find out how to do it.

Got the computer on to update this here diary, like.

Then did Facebook catch up.

The last Health Checks were done: Sys 171, Dia 75, Pulse 81, Temp 36.1. Sys high again, but I’m going to see the Doctor in the morning so can tell him/her. Then get back for the Tenants Social Hour hopefully, then out to the bank, then to the Clinic.

Not too good now, rumbling innards, the odd Dizzy Dennis visit, and the depression deepened. But Anne Gyna and Arthur Itis were both being kind to me… I think, sometimes it is hard to identify which are Duodenal Donald’s and Anne Gyna’s pains. Int life confusing sometimes? Hehe!

Settled to watch some of the DVD and toyed with it as I watched. Not successfully mind. I find now, I have to change (On the TV) the audio settings between watching TV and using the DVD. But not to worry, at least I can view a DVD now. Watched some Jonathan Creek episodes, but weariness (But why, I haven’t done much today?) took over and I turned off the set and box and was soon away dreaming.

TTFN all.

Inchcock – Tuesday 25 April 2017 – A day mostly of graphicationalisationing, say that when you’ve had a few drinkies. Hehe!

2Tue001

Tuesday 25 April 2017

French: Mardi 25 Avril 2017

0005hrs (Although I didn’t realise this at the time, Hehe!): Woke wide awake, Duodenal Donald still stinging away. Not realising how early it was, I got up, made a brew and wondered why there were no demands coming for a wee-wee.

Did the Health Checks. The Sys was still far too high. However, the weight was down again.

1Mon16

I remembered to do the temperature checks in the right way though. Waited until the LO sign came on, under the arm on the skin, set the timer for a minute and got the reading. I even heard the beeps. That was because it was so early and no other noises, I had a new battery in the one working hearing aid and had contorted my head down to as near to the armpit as I could. This cracked the neck and I now have another pain to contend with. Humph!

I spent ages searching for the wrist alarm. Panic and confusion almost turned into a frenzy as I ran around getting ever more desperate in my failed efforts to locate it. Almost at the point of giving up and feared to have to tell Warden Deana later, the brain clicked in, and I recalled that yesterday at the Surgery, I realised I’d gone out with the wristlet still on the arm and had put it in my jacket pocket; where I found it after I’d delved into and found it! Phew!

2Tue001a

Got the computer on to do the diaries and found an email from the Doctors new receptionist informing me of the change in Warfarin dosages. Glad to see they have booked me in for next Tuesday, instead of leaving it for four weeks this time. The doses had increased.

I should get the official Anticoagulant Therapy Record notification in a day or so in the mail. I did not get the level reading in the email but suspect it is a bit low. I thought it odd when I cut my head that it didn’t seem to bleed much the other day.

This got me thinking about the high BP Sys. So I looked on the web before I took the morning medications, to confirm that it is the Ramipril tablets that I’m taking for the BP, and took an extra one, along with an extra painkiller, then rubbed some pain gel on the neck and digested the tablet with another mug of tea. Had several good swigs of the antacid medicine, although I know it has little effect on Duodenal Donald’s exploits. Not sure if I’ve done right. Ah-well!

I then had another search to find the card with the addresses on it that the nurse had given me yesterday so I could go to the NHS sites. Another kerfuffle, but I found in the end that I’d put it back in the plastic envelope with the other paperwork! The tea had gone cold again, so made another mug and had a look on the websites.

Got the three addresses and stored them on the Bookmarks. After I’ve spoken with the doctor on Thursday, they will be ready to use.

The tea had gone cold again, made another and found the milk had gone off.

Finished yesterday’s diary, then started this one.

Did some graphicalisationing. For hours and hours, kept my off the worries a bit. Here are some of the 22 TFZer ones. I titled the album on Facebook ‘Can I give you a lift Madam’

2Tue06

2Tue07

2Tue08

2Tue09

2Tue09a

Hope they get the funny side and like them.

2Tue05The weather outside looked glorious.

I pressed on with the graphicalisationing further.

Duodenal Donald keeps persisting to annoy and hassle me, though.

I got some mail, three junk and the Anticoagulation Result2Tue10s. (By gum that was quick coming). It was what I expected. far too low, in fact only 1.6, second lowest it’s ever been.

Last time it was this low, they sent the district nurses to make sure the injections were done correctly.

This time I have no supplies left anyway.

And I did love having the nurses call on me and woman-handle me. Hehehe!

Tired now, I’ve been up for 15-16 hours.

Forced me off the computer, and laid out the meal in readiness, then I nearly got the ablutions tended to… But:

2Tue11

As I got the meal laid out, I remembered that I had not done the Facebooking or second session on the WordPress reading. So I wrapped the meal in foil to keep it a bit fresher.

2Tue12The weather took a disturbing turn then. Caught me in the reflection.

Back onto the computer and did some Facebooking for a while.

Blimey, 106 notifications!

I investigated. Most were likes for the new TFZer series, which is very nice.

Eventually got around to doing the ablutions, very late on.

Then got to eat the meal, fighting not to fall asleep as I did so. Very disappointed with it, though. The meat was stringy, the potatoes overcooked, the mini pie stale, the onions too hot and soft… but the tomatoes, beetroot and cheese were okay.

Depression descended on me as I watched the gogglebox, and I was soon going through nod-offs and waking up moments. I think it was like that all through the night.

Tuesday 18th April 2017

Māori: Rātū 18 Paengawhāwhā 2017

1Mon17aStirred at 0255hrs, Duodenal Donald giving me a lot of hassle and pain this morning.

I think I have only myself to blame perhaps; The overly seasoned beef in black bean sauce dinner from last night? As lovely as it tasted,

As beautiful as it tasted, I will resist this temptation in the future!

Out of the £300 second-hand-surely ready-to-clonk-out recliner and to the throne. The Senna taking seems to have eased things at last. I almost sang with joy at the lack of struggle and pain. Hehe! Little Inchy had been flowing a bit and needed corrective attention from the Betamethasone cream and cleaning up. But I could tell from experience, I was to suffer badly with both Duodenal Donald and Anne Gyna – when this happens together, concentration goes on holiday. Remembered I need to go to the bank to investigate the farce over the transfer of account situation. Maybe today, Lisa the manager will actually talk to me?

Found a scribbled note presumably about a dream – but could make no sense of it at all and had no memories, although I could recall one I had early last night, the one I wrote about in yesterday’s post, that was completed as my next job. The readable bits of the pencil written script was: Hill high…. stethoscope (I think), canal… towering above… flying swooping?

0445hrs: Computer activated after finishing Monday’s off, I started this one. Did some photography doctoring to use later. Then the internet connection started going off intermittently. I wished that Duodenal Donald, who was becoming very active and persistent would do the same.

Into the kitchen to2Tue001a take the medications and an extra few swigs of antacid in possibly a vain hope of easing the ulcer pain. Then did the Health Checks:

Sys 162 – Dia 76 – Pulse 75 – Temp 38.7 – the weighing indicated another rise.

Oh dearie me!

Had to take another swig of the antacid medicine and pondered on whether I should risk taking an extra Omeprazole, as the medicine was cutting it with the pain.

I stood looking out of the window seeking inspiration in making my choice. Later I used the W-T option and tried to take a view of the same area, this is how the photos came out:

2Tue07

I think I read somewhere that Omeprazole had a side effect of diarrhoea? With things loosening up so much in that department this morning, I found myself in a quandary. If I do take an extra capsule it night prove a nocive decision, it I don’t take one, I’ll be in too much pain all day with the other ailments

If I do take an extra capsule it night prove a nocive decision, if I don’t take one, I’ll be in too much pain all day with the other ailments (Anne Gyna and Roger Reflux) playing up as well. On the other hand, I might get the runs badly… then again, it might make no difference at all? Bumfuzzled my brain now!

2Tue04Eventually, Duodenal Donald himself made it up for me, with a super-mega stab of pain, followed by a Donald Dizzy spell. I decided to take an extra one and another Codeine.

I decided to take an extra Omeprazole as well as and another Codeine. Just to keep himself noticed with all the ailments clambering for attention, Arthur Itis decided to have a go at the fingers as I took this photographicalisation and dropped the tablets. Luckily falling into the draw where I could retrieve them this time.

This is not going to be a good day medically speaking (I’m quick on picking these things up yer know, Hehehe).

The thought of the visit to the bank to talk to the elusive Lisa didn’t help in the clarity of logic department. Yes, I like that, I might refer to her like this: Elusive Lisa in future?

For I fear they might be more occasions to write about in this banking farce! (Getting myself wound up now, Tsk!)

Completed belatedly updating last week’s Check List.

2Tue05

Made another mug of tea, and pressed on with this update. The mind in a Zwodder-like state.

Did some WordPress Reading.

2Tue06

Then onto Facebook. Made a graphic of Pixie Mary Frieberg on the TFZer site, as she won the ball competition. I put her near the actual photograph of the implement on the table – a real Disney Angel.

Well all of them got it right actually, but Mary was first in with her bid, bless her cotton socks.

Got the ablutions tended to. Got the bank details, empty jars for the recycling bin and some painkillers in the bag. And set off to the bank and get some bread.

No one about at all, not a soul did I see in or outside the flats and Chestnut Grove… Eerie that.

2Tue08Dropped the jars in the bin and down Winchester Street, across Mansfield Road and into the bank.

Fell in love with little daisies on the verge.

Inside the bank, there were about six in the standing queue, three staff serving including the Manageress Lisa. I patiently took my place at the end of it. And Lisa was still ignoring me with natural aplomb and what must be a well trained and practised, honed skill.

I had to explain everything from the start again to the young good looking fit man servicing me. Jealous? Me? He said something I didn’t catch and went into the back of the building. A few minutes later, with the customers in the queue behind me tutting and sneering in my direction, he returned and told me an advisor needs to talk to me.

Hello, I thought to myself! I was instructed to stand at the back, and she would come and fetch me. So I did.

The lady appeared within seconds and escorted me into an office and asked me to sit down – I explained it was better if I didn’t, Arthur Itis playing up, and she professionally shot me look that said: “Huh, another old fart!” It was quick, but I caught it alright. Hehe!

She explained that the Co-op had put a block on the transfer because it had taken so long. I asked her who’s fault is it that it took so long – I got another shudderingly frightening look from her, this one said: “Who the hell do you think you are!” to me. I got in with my rapid verbals: “Your bank failing to check the postcode on the I.D. from the State Pension people who I admit were also in the wrong?” I suggested before she could speak.

A pregnant pause followed. The lady recovered. Ignoring what I had said completely, told me she would ring her head office for advice on whether or not we need to start from scratch again. I was gobsmacked, especially when they told her that we did have to!

I started to make notes so as to be able to use them in this diary. She frowned and asked me if I wanted her to make notes for me? Not sure if this was genuine or sarcastic, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. She lightened her tone and asked why I was making notes – I replied something like: “The memory isn’t as good as it once was you know – paused with my mouth open and added – I want to get the details right for my Trust Pilot Report” and offered a half cheeky smile. That worked, I could see she was perplexed by this.

I wondered to myself why I was being so short and annoying, not like me at all, thought it might be the extra pains today, took a codeine out and ate it, determined to try and win back her good side, in case I needed a loan later. So I adopted a broad smile and almost laughed, and this confused the Hitlerarian dear even more. Tsk! She wasn’t Hitlerarian at all, but I just like using the word. Hahaha! Sorry.

She set about redoing the application using the details and checking them with me from the first time. Asking me if the account at the other bank was overdrawn? I impressed her when I competently fibbed: “God heavens no, I’ve over a hundred grand in it!

I must stop annoying her and get her going I swore to myself again.

After a while on her computer, she told me that the account should be open and transferred 26th April, but don’t come to see us until the 27th. Then, as I was about to leave, she started the selling spiel: Come to see me after it is operational and I’ll see if we can offer insurances cheaper than the one’s you have now!

I exited into the sunshine and the wind then went to get a small l2Tue11oaf of bread and some meat to tonight,s meal. Sarnies only tonight, nothing spicy I said to myself.

No small loaves, only large, no belly pork so I got a Wiejska ring.

Walked up the hill, no bus for 55 minutes yet, so walked on up and down the hill and walked up the park back to the apartments.

2Tue09A few dogs taking their owners for a walk and refusing to return the thrown ball.

I love watching them.

One Alsatian ran to me and stuck his head in my bag trying to get to the meat I suspect?

He was friendly enough and took his head out when I asked him to ‘Leave’. Haha!

2Tue09aTurning right at the top, I hobbled down through the beloved Copse. Thickening out well now.

The entrance was a mass of nettles blooming.

I wondered at this point, how does one make Nettle Wine?

I’ll look it up later perhaps.

2Tue10

Ambled down through the Copse and took a photograph facing the flats. It really was so beautiful in there.

It really was so beautiful in there. The smell alone makes it worth the trip.

Came out the bottom and trying to miss treading on the buttercups and daisies, I made my way to the foyer door.

2Tue12Squirrels and birds very active around the area.

Up to home and had a wee-wee, but the bits away and made a cuppa.

Found a recipe for Nettle Wine.

Sounds too complicated for me to try, not got the room or gear anyway.

How do you measure nettle tops in pints, anyway?

Got the notes I made to help me update this diary.

Got up to here, and took the evening medication with spring water.

Made another mug of tea, then cleaned up the milk and fridge where I’d managed to drop the milk bottle when Arthur Itis decided to freeze the fingers on me. Humph!

At least Duodenal Donald had eased a bit. Mustn’t eat anything spicy tonight. Hope the Wiejska and bread will be alright. I could have had a drink of milk with it, but of course, I’d dropped and spilt most of it!

Had a bash on Facebook. Lost it. Got it back again. Lost it again… gave up and did some graphicationalisationing.2Tue12a

Got the din-dins done.

A salad of sorts. Went down nicely.

Had a Dennis Dizzy visitation when washing the pots.

To the porcelain throne thinking I was in need of a heavy duty session – but nothing, not even any wind? Well, there was plenty from Roger Reflux, but none from the rear-end. Hehe!

Tried to watch some TV, a Victoria Wood tribute and got only a few minutes into it before I drifted off.

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today – Sunday 16th April 2017

Sunday 16th April 2017

Slovak: Nedeľa 16.Apríla 2017

7Sun01

Woke around 0400hrs, and lay thinking of the many dreams I’d had since the one about Rudolph Hess after midnight, without any luck, no details could be forced from my twisted and very confused this morning, brain. No note found, well, there was one, but I couldn’t read a word of the two lines I’d scribbled.

0445hrs: A headache lurked, and it was a cracker. I thought I might try to get off back to sleep, so I tried. I failed. I passed some wind and extracted myself from the £300 second-hand dangerously shuddering recliner, had a mini-dizzy as I hobbled to the porcelain throne, Whoopsiw02 stubbing my toe on the way.

The heavy duty task at hand seem to make my headache worse? Little Inchy had bled a tiny bit, but Haemorrhoid Harold, having been in free-flow mood caused me to have to put the jammie bottoms in the bucket to soak. Humph!

Had a rinse and got the kettle on the boil.7Sun02a

Made a mug of strong tea and took the morning medications, along with an extra Codeine for the head and Senna for the stubborn heavy duty sessions.

Rubbed some of the pain gel into the left hand, the knees and under the arm.

Oil in the ears, made up next weeks medication pots and got the sphygmomanometer out and did the Health Checks.

7Sun02a

7Sun01aLooks okay I think? Apart from the weight perhaps?

Many wee-wees had to be tended to this morning.

I suddenly had a thought (Impressive eh?). Are there any buses on duty tomorrow so I can get to the camera lesson, it being a holiday like?

I looked up the L9 service on the web. Botheration and damnation! A Sunday Service for all routes – which means no L9 buses at all! Another long hobble to face!

Whoopsiw02 The tea had gone cold, so I made another mug and managed to drop the milk as I took it out of the fridge.

I blame Arthur Itis for this! Huh!

Did some WordPress reading. Some good stuff published today.

Went onto Facebook, fingers crossed… Slow, but working.

Emails sorted out. Tried again on the web to find out if buses are running tomorrow or not. Failed!

CorelDraw andittivated some graphics for the TFZer site;

1Mon03

Whoopsiw02 Changing myself ready to get into the shower, I leant foolishly against the clothes air-dryer to keep my balance while stripping off the socks and it collapsed. Facilitating my ending up in an unseemly pile on the floor with my arm somehow threaded through the heating bars of the dryer. Disentangling myself was interesting. This started off Anne Gyna. The newly bent and misshaped heater seemed to be still working, though. Humph! I tried rebending some back into shape. I failed.

Decided to have the meal early today. Got the oven on and put the battered fishcakes in to warm up. Got the potatoes boiling away.

Watched a Carry-On film for a while on channel 10 Freeview.

7Sun05Put the herbed tomato sauce in the pan and added the pasta thingies with mushrooms into it.

Laid it out with the Surimi fish whatsits and a banana and lemon yoghourt for afters.

Apart from the pasta things and sauce being overcooked, the potatoes undercooked, the fishcakes overcooked on too low heat, the banana having a black streak through it inside; the Lemon yoghourt was nice. Tsk!What a mess I made of this meal!

What a mess I made of this meal!

There were several Carry-On films on the same channel, and I tried to watch them, but only managed it with ‘Carry On Up the Khyber’. Nodding off sessions were rampant. Haha!

Wee-wee visits were made regularly throughout the day. Made me think about when I walk into town in the morning for the camera lesson. And will I get a bus back? I can’t walk both ways? The hobble will take about an hour and a quarter. Wee-wee containing might be a problem, I think.

Oligarch Obergruppenfureress Jenny called while I was on the porcelain throne before showering. Which normally I would not have heard, but I had to nip out to collect a fresh pair of protection undies and heard the mobile. She told me that there would be no need for anyone to change their address. I thanked her for informing me and avoided any forthcoming lectures and admonishments by telling the truth and told her I had to get back to the small room. I knew by mentioning my concerns over the renaming of the flats to any other tenant it would get back to her. She reminds me off Ena Sharples, caring but misunderstood. Bless her.

Now I have to face her on Wednesday next when the free fish & chip meal session takes place in Arnold. Or earlier if my cunning plans to avoid her fail.

Back into the wetroom and did the ablutions.

Back to the goggle-box and more Carry On films to fall asleep to.

Looking at the clock later, it seemed it was still only 1810hrs?

I realised an hour or so later when I again observed the clock and it was still indicating 1810hrs, that the battery had gone and died. (I’m quick ain’t I… Hehe!) Changed the battery in the clock and returned with a mug of orange juice to the £300 second-hand wobbly recliner and settled again. Whoopsiw02 Spilling it as I sat down. Cleaned up the mess, and it was a good thing I had to as well.

Whoopsiw02 As I went into the kitchen to get the cleaning accoutrements I saw that I’d left the ring on the stove burning hot. A bit of luck there! Took the medications.

Sorted the mess out and settled once again in the now sticky damp chair cover, I started to watch “It’ll be alright on the night 2” on the box. First commercial break and I drifted off into kip.

Woke around 0400hrs: So annoyed no notes or memories of the dreams I was sure I’d been having. Why one morning I can recall, or find notes I’d made about the dreams, and others, like today, nothing? Humph!

WhoopsieOut of the £300 second-hand recliner, stomach churning and into the kitchen with the intention of getting some tummy medicine down me… of dear, another Whoopsiedangleplop – I’d left the damned hot water tap running all night again! A flipping good job I’d not left the plug in the sink at least! Humph!

Did the Health Checks, all looking good, apart from the weight back up again.

To the porcelain throne for a painful, heavy duty session. Haemorrhoid Harold had not been bleeding though, Little Inchy only a tad, but still sore.

Made a cuppa and took the medications, computer on and finished yesterday’s Chronicle off, then started this one.

Got the fodder started for later, potatoes on the boil.

Did some WordPress reading, and commenting?

Made another mug of tea and went on Facebook. After a while, the site went down again, no connection. Humph!

6Sat01bI just sneezed and me teeth nearly came out, and there are not false ones – blimey, my tummy felt like it was trying escape up through me throat!

The view was beautiful again this morning.

Made another mug of tea and set about doing some TFZer graphics, and got a few finished too. Heads swanks with pride!

Facebook still down.

WhoopsieWent to check the potatoes I’d put in salted water in the saucepan on the cooker three hours ago, but not turned it on! Clonk-humph!

6Sat03Got the vegetables chopped, un-podded, cut and on the boil in the slow-cooker.

Turned on the potatoes (Belatedly, Tsk!)

Crock-pot contents, garden peas, turnip, leeks, carrots with a bit of demerara sugar added. Put some distilled vinegar in the potatoes.

Opened a tin of beef slices and added some homemade caramelised gravy and left them in the small saucepan to marinate while the slow-cooker did the other stuff.

WhoopsieAt this stage, and this happened to me few times over the last few years, but this time it more aggressive: I passed the wind and sneezed at the same time. I had the chopping board in my hand at the time, it fell, bounced up and hit me in the shin, and I may have used some naughty words out loud. This started off Arthur Itis of course, and his Co-attacker Anne Gyna soon joined in, and they stayed with me. Huh!

Made another mug of tea (I’m hoping to get one drank sometime today!)

Tried Facebook again, no go!

Back onto Coreldraw and started another graphic. Got so far and realised I’d not done my ablutions, so I did.

All fresh now, I called Olive to see if or when I cold visit her. 1400hrs granted.

Back onto the computer, Facebook was jumpy but back on.

Posted the graphics to the TFZer site.

6Sat05Getting readied to call on Olive, and the hand and fingers warped as I was putting the camera away, managed to take this photo of disfigured agony-ridden left hand using the right one.

Handy old thing ain’t I? Hehe!

Poddled to Olive’s flat and had an absolutely fantastic visitation.

She told me off repeatedly, but in her own Special caring way, bless her. Good long chinwag, a cuddle and I was off back to the mini-home.

6Sat04Got the dinner ready, all looked okay.

The best one for a long time this was. Had to give it a 9.65/10 rating. Hehe!

Had a dizzy while washing the pots and a headache developed and stayed with me all night and into the morning??

Not a wink of sleep, no nod-offs; the brain just would not allow me to rest until gone 0200hrs when dreams kept waking me then! Recalled in one of them I was a famulus to dressed-like-wizard Rudolph Hess in a cave underground with him teaching me a trick, that I could not grasp involving a selection of different magic wands, I think? (From notes consulted in the early hours)

TTFN all.
