Inchcock: Saturday 15th April 2017

Saturday 15th April 2017

Esperanto: Sabato 15a Aprilo 2017

Woke around 0400hrs: So annoyed no notes or memories of the dreams I was sure I’d been having. Why one morning I can recall, or find notes I’d made about the dreams, and others, like today, nothing? Humph!

WhoopsieOut of the £300 second-hand recliner, stomach churning and into the kitchen with the intention of getting some tummy medicine down me… of dear, another Whoopsiedangleplop – I’d left the damned hot water tap running all night again! A flipping good job I’d not left the plug in the sink at least! Humph!

Did the Health Checks, all looking good, apart from the weight back up again.

To the porcelain throne for a painful, heavy duty session. Haemorrhoid Harold had not been bleeding though, Little Inchy only a tad, but still sore.

Made a cuppa and took the medications, computer on and finished yesterday’s Chronicle off, then started this one.

Got the fodder started for later, potatoes on the boil.

Did some WordPress reading, and commenting?

Made another mug of tea and went on Facebook. After a while, the site went down again, no connection. Humph!

6Sat01bI just sneezed and me teeth nearly came out, and there are not false ones – blimey, my tummy felt like it was trying escape up through me throat!

The view was beautiful again this morning.

Made another mug of tea and set about doing some TFZer graphics, and got a few finished too. Heads swanks with pride!

Facebook still down.

WhoopsieWent to check the potatoes I’d put in salted water in the saucepan on the cooker three hours ago, but not turned it on! Clonk-humph!

6Sat03Got the vegetables chopped, un-podded, cut and on the boil in the slow-cooker.

Turned on the potatoes (Belatedly, Tsk!)

Crock-pot contents, garden peas, turnip, leeks, carrots with a bit of demerara sugar added. Put some distilled vinegar in the potatoes.

Opened a tin of beef slices and added some homemade caramelised gravy and left them in the small saucepan to marinate while the slow-cooker did the other stuff.

WhoopsieAt this stage, and this happened to me few times over the last few years, but this time it more aggressive: I passed the wind and sneezed at the same time. I had the chopping board in my hand at the time, it fell, bounced up and hit me in the shin, and I may have used some naughty words out loud. This started off Arthur Itis of course, and his Co-attacker Anne Gyna soon joined in, and they stayed with me. Huh!

Made another mug of tea (I’m hoping to get one drank sometime today!)

Tried Facebook again, no go!

Back onto Coreldraw and started another graphic. Got so far and realised I’d not done my ablutions, so I did.

All fresh now, I called Olive to see if or when I cold visit her. 1400hrs granted.

Back onto the computer, Facebook was jumpy but back on.

Posted the graphics to the TFZer site.

6Sat05Getting readied to call on Olive, and the hand and fingers warped as I was putting the camera away, managed to take this photo of disfigured agony-ridden left hand using the right one.

Handy old thing ain’t I? Hehe!

Poddled to Olive’s flat and had an absolutely fantastic visitation.

She told me off repeatedly, but in her own Special caring way, bless her. Good long chinwag, a cuddle and I was off back to the mini-home.

6Sat04Got the dinner ready, all looked okay.

The best one for a long time this was. Had to give it a 9.65/10 rating. Hehe!

Had a dizzy while washing the pots and a headache developed and stayed with me all night and into the morning??

Not a wink of sleep, no nod-offs; the brain just would not allow me to rest until gone 0200hrs when dreams kept waking me then! Recalled in one of them I was a famulus to dressed-like-wizard Rudolph Hess in a cave underground with him teaching me a trick, that I could not grasp involving a selection of different magic wands, I think? (From notes consulted in the early hours)

TTFN all.

Inchcock – Tuesday 11th April 2017: Dizzies, Whoopsiedangleplops, bleeding and Accifaupas galore. Humph!

Tuesday 11th April 2017

Lithuanian: Antradienis 11-asis balandžio 2017

0404hrs: Woke, annoyed I could not recall the dreams, only that they were not nice.

Out of the nervous making rattling shuddering unstable £300 second-hand recliner. Kettle on. To the porcelain throne, painful and bloody passing again.

Made a mug of tea and took the morning medications.

Glad to see that I had left a note on the TV to remind me of the camera lesson at the  Jessops store today.

Carried out the Health Checks, looking fine this time: Sys 145 – Dia 75 – Pulse 79 -Temperature 36.6 – Weight 14.8.

The computer activated and finalised yesterday’s diary and posted it.

Made a start on this one.

Did some Facebooking.

Got the ablutionisationing done and took the rubbish bags to the chute, and had time to update this a bit and do a little WordPressing before I had to go down to get the bus into town.

Jolly good chinwag with some of the other tenants in the lobby before we all tripped off to the bus stop.

I was the only one going on the town bus. Got the crossword book out, the Daily Sun one, which should have been easier for me to do, but the print is so small, thought I might have a look in the cheap book shop later to see if they any in bigger print in stock.

Got off the bus and walked over the road and went into Boot’s to see if they had any ear wax remover. This, because one hearing aid tube had perished. I was struggling to hear things and knew I had excessive wax, which I usually use the Olive oil to treat, but had foolishly missed doing so for a couple of days, and thought Boot’s remover would do the job quicker. Anway I thought, I’m going up to the Audio Centre after the camera lesson and can get new tubes and batteries. Then: Thud, it hit me! Another Whoopisedangleplop! I’d forgotten to take the Authorising Book with me – Gnaperplnkdam! So I could not get the things today!

Anyway, I investigated the supply and costs of the Eye Spray, thinking this might help with the difficulties I’m having reading the subtitles and programme details on the TV. The cheapest one was £18.99 for a 10ml spray. Too much! I did get an ear-wax remover though at £3.89.

Out of the Boot’s store and into Victoria Shopping (Mall) Centre and in the Market for a wander around, cause I2Tue001a had a plenty of time before the tutoring session.

Noted that they were erecting a nibbling for the juniors area.

Bet this is going to be mayhem later?

Hehehe!

2Tue03Up the escalator and took this photo of the hanging in the air mannequins.

The market was not very busy again, but I espied some fresh pod peas on sale! Hurrah!

I asked the lady for a pound, and she asked if I was sure? Yes, I replied.

I realised what she meant when she asked me for £2.50! That’s, USD $3.20 – Aus $ 4.15 – Can $ 4.18 a pound! Blimus, worra price!

2Tue04

Limped out of the mall over the walkway above Upper Parliament Street taking this photographicalisation en route.

Down and into the Pound Shop and had a wander around.

Got some nibbles for the Social Hour on Thursday and some Dettol Orange scented spray.

The feet were getting painful, but I knew not why?

Meandered to the Jessop Camera Shop and eventually, an assistant asked what I wanted. Told her about the lesson and she said the man would be with me shortly, which he was. The bad news? The room was up three flights of stairs! The tootsies suffered, and Anne Gyna introduced herself into the equation. Tsk!

I must have looked poorly, because after five minutes the young chap asked if I was alright, and I wasn’t. He kindly offered to change the lesson to another day at no extra cost. Which was very welcome being as I apparently looked very pale he said, offering to call an ambulance. I thanked him and took him up on a new date when I should have the hearing aids sorted, and that would make things easier for me.

Within minutes of hobbling out of the store, I felt a lot better2Tue09a in myself. I wandered into a Sports Direct Shop, didn’t realise until I got in that it was for the younger generation, however, I did see they had some what they called, Everlast Crew Sweat thingamabobs on sale at 2 for £10.

They looked warm and comfortable, and they had them in XL too, so I invested in a couple.

It took that long at the pay-point I missed the bus back to the flats.as

So I took a painful hobble around the City Centre, to kill time until the next bus was due in.

2Tue10

On to Long Row, listened to some Street Artist banging out rubbish music and took the time to appreciate Nottingham’s most famous architect, Watson Fothergill.

I popped into the store in his building and bought a TV magazine for next week.

2Tue07 Fifteen minutes to go until the bus was due, I went into The Works bookshop and had a look around for some bigger print crossword books.

Managed to find some as well, and they were a good price… mind you the one’s I bought three months ago from there were too…

But can I find them? No!

2Tue11Up Queen Street and to the bus stop. A bit of a kerfuffle here today. The bus stop is shared between three routes, and it is finely tuned to handle them all, so if anyone is late, they are all late because those behind cannot pull up to pick passengers and have to go around the block again. Although some drivers go passed them, not picking them up. Hehe! The L9 did today though he was well late by the time he pulled off. I am amazed at how they cope with it all.

Caught the bus, had to go out into the middle of the road along with other passengers, but we got it. Had a go at the old small print crosswords en route.

Back at the flats, an urgent, mark one, Defcon two wee-wee was tended to. Hahaha!

Got the potatoes boiling in the saucepan. Put the shirts and other things away and found the written note the Jessop’s lad had done for me with the date and time of the 2Tue09rearranged lesson on it… eventually. I thought it was in the bag, but no.

Finally, I found it in the coat pocket.

Recorded it in the Google Calendar.

Got this diary updated, made a mug of tea and took the evening medications, passed the wind and just made it to the porcelain throne in time… Phew! But far much worse was found… Little Inchy had been bleeding away, and the lesion was torn open as bad as it ever has been! I think this might put an end to the operation plans now? The cleansing and Betamethasone cream was applied, but I had to do it all again a few minutes later.

More extra washing to do now! Must get the mass of laundry done in the morning.

2Tue14Carried on Chronicalisationing, then got the meal prepared.

Despite the aches and pains, bleeding Little Inchy and a dizzy spell or two, I enjoyed the meal.

So tired and drained, I only stayed awake for the first part of Heartbeat, going off into the dream-world at the first commercial break!

What a day, Humph!

Inchcock – Sunday 9th April 2017: Incorporating his hobble to see the Tropical Gardens!

7Sun04

Sunday 9th April 2017

Polish: Niedziela 09 Kwietnia 2017

Terrible night again, kept dreaming and waking, nodding off again, dreaming and waking… Oh dear! The irritating thing is I cannot recall any of the dreams and failed to make any notes on the pad.

0435hrs: Felt a bit nippy this morning. The stomach rumbled with a painful stab or two that informed me of the urgency to disentangle myself from the £300 second-hand recliner and make for the porcelain throne… Damn it! I didn’t make it in time on this occasion! Tripping over the picker-upper stick on the way didn’t help.

Like yesterday, it flowed freely and had some blood in it this morning. Then, as I started to cleanse and sort things out, as I put the clothing in a bucket to soak and disinfect, I realised the hot water was cold!

Yes, I checked in the kitchen and found I’d left the hot water tap running last night in the sink once more! Luckily it was still only around 0500hrs so the water should heat up a bit before it stops for the day. Boiled a few kettles of water to soak the clothes in.

7Sun01Realised also, that I’d left the kitchen window open – that explained why it felt a bit nippy earlier. Huh!

Got the medications taken with a cuppa and took the drugs.

A bit concerned about the first readings of the day.

7Sun02a

7Sun03Might be due to the hassle I’ve been having so far?Still, the weight had gone down a bit.

Still, the weight had gone down a decent amount.bit.

I got the computer going and finished the Saturday diary off, then started this one off.

The tea had gone cold, so I went to make another one. Tested the hot water while in there and it was heating up nicely. Phew!

I felt that warm wet sensation again. Another cleaning and the medicating session had to be done. The tea went cold again.

7Sun04aPut the kettle on. And had a feeling-sorry-for-myself moment as I viewed the scenery outside.

Then had a feeling-sorry-for-myself moment as I saw the scene outside, while the tummy rumbled, Anne Gyna let me know she was there and Duodenal Daniel started off giving me some jip!

It didn’t last long, though. As I returned the medications to their drawer, I saw that last night’s dosage pot was still full of the tablets – I’d missed taking them! What a clot! I’m getting worse and don’t know where to get help from, Humph! Hehe!

Mustn’t complain though, I’m lucky to be here still. I cheered up a bit and decided to stay in today.

7Sun02bAnd see how he is, and get this WordPressing finished and did some graphics and Facebooking. No buses anyway on a Sunday.

Checked the Google Calendar and found a reminder that Monday is going to be a rather busy day.

I don’t have to collect the prescriptions now though, having fetched them yesterday.

Not looking forward to tomorrow much.

Might not have time to do the diary at all, so I may leave it and do two on the next day when there will be far fewer tasks to be completed?

Got an email from Sister Jane.

Replied and hoped to get out to see her soon.

I warned her of the dreadfully bland tasteless Mature (Huh!) Manchego lambs cheese I got from Lidl.

Ga6Sat12wd it was awful.

Like paper-mashie with plastic! Tim Price told me that this type of cheese was appetising, apparently, Lidl had bought in the crap brand.

The tummy continues to rumble grumble and twinge. Anne Gyna has eased off, but Duodenal Daniel was persistent. Hate days like this.

Did some Facebooking. Got graphic started and finished for the TFZers.

Girls01c

Amazed it only took me four hours from start to posting it off.

Got myself ready for the ablutionisationing session.

Only one cut in the shaving process, no bleeding gums or teeth, however, Little Inchy was sore and Haemorrhoid Harold bled a bit, but far less than earlier. Again, no complaints from me.

Called Olive to see if I could call on her, but no answer. I think I had a distant memory of her telling me she was going out with the family today though.

Got the jars in the bag and set off down to the foyer.

Tenant Janie was there waiting for a lift and I had a chat with her, cause she had not bee to any meetings for a while. Seems they had changed her medication doses and it didn’t suit her, poor gal.

7Sun04aHobbled off down Chestnut Walk to deposit the jars in the bottle bank bin.

Back to the flats turned left and up into the beloved Copse.

Lovely morning as I set off walking up through it, but Anne Gyna soon let me know she was there.

7Sun4bTsk!

To the top and right into Woodthorpe Grange Park.

As I passed the kiddies park I took a photo of the flats.

Olive’s is located on the left corner four floors down.

Wandered off up and through the park. With the weather being so fine it had brought out many families and dogs walking their owners, and I got a lot of pleasure (A touch of jealousy too, Hehe) just by watching them enjoy themselves.

7Sun4d

I waddled through the garden section and up into the Tropical House.

I loved this last time I went a while ago now, and again I did so.

Just out of site to the right of this path I took on entering the indoor garden, I found they had altered the fish pond and added another feeding water pond next to it.

7Sun4c

I can’t remember if the model of the elephant was there last time, but looked like it was either new or had been cleaned up.

7Sun05Had a chinwag to a lady and gentleman who were sat on the rest bench at the end.

Well, a chat with the lady, the poor bloke looked awfully down and depressed, poor soul.

She asked if I knew what the model animal was supposed to represent behind where she was sat. I said I’ll take a photographicalisation of it and if I find out, I’ll return and write it on the sign near it.

She laughed and he sneered. The chap was obviously in pain, I think.

7Sun05aSaid my farewells and turned at the end and back down the other side, where I managed to get another photograph of the pond, this time with the feeder one in the shot.

Just missed getting the two people I’d been speaking to it, but got the end of the bench. Hehehe!

Departed the lovely warm garden and made my way to have a look in the PArk’s Flower Shop. Not the foggiest idea what I was looking at plant-wise, but had the idea of asking someone if they had any indoor plants that are hard to kill-off. But they were so busy, I just had a wander around and left.

7Sun06Anne Gyna was getting more irritable with me the longer I plodded on, so decided to have a nip (Or hobble, might be a better word here, Haha!) around the edge planting and then cut through back towards the apartments.

The beautiful and tallest tree I passed demanded photographicalisationing from me.

So I did. Glad I caught mother and daughter in it, I didn’t mean to, but Mum seemed so happy at getting out and about, it pleased me that she did. I knew she was happy, cause my I.Q. told me.

7Sun06a

As I wandered around the thicket I spotted these whatever-they-are plants, with the flower heads seemingly growing upside down. Gorgeous, they were.

I foolishly let myself hobble down the hill into another thicket. (I say foolishly because then, I have to climb back up the hill and knew Anne Gyna was not going to be pleased with this – and I was right, Humph!)

7Sun06eI went down to get a closer look at this bit of growth because I thought I’d spotted a little squirrel in it.

I waited for ages in case it came out or showed itself again.

It did eventually, but by the time it did, I had been distracted by watching some Wood Pigeons that were too far off to photograph 7Sun06bwhen the squirrel did appear once again and was too slow to catch it as it ran off. Still, I got a good one of the greenery?

As I turned around and climbed the little hill to the pathway back into the park, I caught this Horrible Herbert of a Footpath Cyclist coming out of the park and nearly colliding with a young couple strolling along. Humph!

7Sun06c

Hobbling rather painfully now, I regretted my decision to try and take a photograph of the squirrel down the hill.

Limped back up the hill and along to where the flats are, and down the grass to the flats.

Far busier on the kiddies park and cafe area now than when I set out. Perhaps the pubs are closed? Hehe!

Managed to get to the flats easier than I thought I might. Had an unpleasant dizzy spell in the lift going up, but all okay by the time I got into the diminutive dwelling.

A heavy duty session on the porcelain throne went well, very well, no bleeding whatsoever. And Anne Gyna calmed down nicely.

Had a rinse and got the potatoes in the saucepan on a low heat.

Made a cuppa and took the midday medications.

A spell on Facebooking then got on with updating this diary. So glad I took the photographs now, I love it when they come out alright. It took hours to get the diary how I wanted it to.

Time for the evening tablets and lotions now. Tsk! I took them a little earlier than I usually do, bearing in mind I missed last nights dosages, I thought it best to.

So, as I made anothe7Sun07r mug of tea, I notice a young couple far down below, shoes off and having a mini picnic and getting the sun. Don’t blame them.

I tried to take a good picture of them through the glass in the windows but had to take several efforts before I got the decentish one here on the left.

The boiling potatoes were certainly overcooked (Understatement there, Hehe!) a bit. When I tried them they fell to bits. This called for a change of meal plans. So I poured a bit of Soy sauce into the cracks and tried to get them back into a shape resembling potatoes and put them in the oven to firm up and brown off, fingers crossed.

The fatigues came over me even earlier tonight. Ah, the hobble in the park I suspect as being the reason?

There can be no doubt about it, my Métier, stroke forte is defeat. Guaranteed and utter failure! Humph!

Not with a lot of hope or expectancy of success, I scrutinised the TV paper to see if there was anything worth trying to stay awake to watch.

Went to check the spuds and add some vegetarian sausages to them. Hard to believe I know, but I burnt the back of my hand doing this. Such a shock it was, me having an Accifauxpa? I think I might have said,  “Oh, my word!” WPlie

7Sun05Enjoyed the fodder. Rated it at 9.2/10

The TV was not good – but could I fall asleep? No!

Well into the morning before I got off into the land of nod.

Humph!

Inchcock – Wednesday 5th April 2017: Bank Farce Progress? Just maybe?

3Wed001

Wednesday 5th April 201

Swahili: Jumatano ya 5 April 2017

Woke at 0425hrs: The swelling legs had gone down a bit and were far less painful this morning. I think Anne Gyna knew this, cause she was giving me some nasty painful stabs, bless her.

Got out of the £300 second-hand recliner with little bother, and into the kitchen to put the kettle on, turned on the computer and then off to the porcelain throne. Oh dear. Haemorrhoid Harold had and was still bleeding a fair bit, but not enough to make me discard any clothing. Cleaned up and medicated what needed medicating.

Made a nice strong mug of tea and took the medications. At this point, the legs started to give me some bother again. Tsk! Found a note on the 1960 second-hand E-Plan sideboard, with scribble about a dream on it? How it found it’s way onto the sideboard I wasn’t sure?

Got the WordPress going to finish yesterday’s post off, and realised I must have got up last night and wrote about the dream, cause the writing was there in front of me in the diary? A good job I did, because I could never have gleaned so much detail from the scribble I’d wrote.

The tea had gone cold, so I went to make another one. Did the health-checks while I was in there. Dia 169 – Sys 75 – Pulse 89 – Temp 38.1 C, and the best of the lot, Weight 14.75, down at last! I’ll do it again later if I remember, cause I’d not long got rid of a hell of a dollop on the throne.

Remembered I’d got two deliveries coming this morning from Asda and Morrison. So had a wash and changed into the day clothes so as not to answer the door in my jammies.

Finished off yesterday’s diary and started this one off. Realised I’d not put on the picture of last evening’s sky, so I took another one of it.

3Wed01

The Copse is getting thicker now, I’ll soon be able to have a wander through it in search of flora and fauna to photographalise.

I’ve ordered a new kettle in one of the deliveries, cause the one I have seems to be resisting my descaling efforts nowadays.

3Wed03

Had a bash on Facebook for a few hours. The Morrison delivery arrived, followed by the Asda (Walmart) one.

Overdone it again!

Made another brew and weighed myself again… 2lb up on three hours ago and I have not eaten anything? Grumph! Mind you, I can feel the legs and ankles swelling again?

Fodder

Graphic created for the TFZer site. Took me hours with one, but it ain’t too bad.

Got the washing ready and down to the laundry room. Fellow tenant Paul was there, had a quick chinwagging session.

3Wed05

Back up to the flat and finished the above graphic.

Postman called with the Stat pension letter.

I opened it with trepidation… they had got the right Postcode on it! But the wrong detail sheet! I swore so much!

3Wed07

Down once more to collect the washing. Cleaned the filter.

Back in flat, put the togs away and called Olive to see how she was and tell her about the continuing banking farce.

I can visit her tomorrow, in the morning.

Got ready and went down to the bank, just hoping this State Pension form with the correct address would be suitable for the job!

Feeling a bit down for some reason, and I’d been so high earlier?

The s3Wed08aun was shining, and the wind a blowing as I departed on my hobble to and down Winchester Street Hill and to the bank to see Lisa, the new manager.

At the end of Winchester Street, three rascals speeding down the hill on the pavement forced me to move across the road. Little varmints!

Fair queue when I got into the bank. Only one on the counter. Ten minutes or so later, Lisa opened another window, tended to the chap in front of me and another 10 minutes later, she beckoned me over to the counter. I managed to keep those behind waiting another 20 minutes as she sorted the paperwork out and asked for some forms they had already taken six weeks ago and photocopied, so she could photocopy them!?!?

She ‘Thought’ the newly arrived State Pension breakdown detail letter should be acceptable. She will ring me and if it goes through and let me know. Again, I asked if it would be possible to email me, but no. Told her about the Doctor being off sick so I might not get the required details from her, and that is if she agrees to do them for me, no obligation on her part to do it.

So, I said I would drop in at the bank, on Monday afternoon to find out what is happening. I am not in an unexpectant, but rather a nervous frame of mind now, no confidence left.

Peeped into the Birds Cake Shop window, jus tin case they had any of the Fresh Cream Iced Buns in, but they hadn’t. Naturally, I took this in good spirits.

Cried on my way up to the bus stop. (Not really, but I thought you might find this funny and like a laugh?)

3Wed08Back at the flats, I was nearly blown off my feet by the wind.

The sun was still bright, but when I got back up to the apartment, I could hear the winds howling. But the scenery was gorgeous to look at.

I couldn’t get my head around the fact that I had not bought any fodder, well, anything at all while out. Another odd sensation for me. Hehe!

3Wed09Updated the diary for Monday next on my Google page.

Looks like a busy Monday coming up.

Updated this diary after making a jolly strong mug of tea.

The legs and ankles were I think less swollen now, hurting all the same and irritating Arthur Itis, though. Humph!

Took the potatoes out of the saucepan, ready to have with a cold meal later on. (Or Not?)

Not sure what I’m going to have with them mind, but there is plenty to choose from.

Put the Lumix camera and mobile phone on charge and visited the porcelain again.

Haemorrhoid Harold leaking just a bit, Little Inchy not bleeding, but sore.

Popped on Facebook being as I was amazingly not too tired.

Did some WordPressing.

3Wed10Took the evening medications, finished on Facebooking and got the fodder prepared.

I accidentally had two of the lemon drizzles afterwards.

A mere misfortune that could happen to anyone. Ahem!

This meal consisted of mini-pork and caramelised onion, mushrooms, beetroot, boiled potatoes (Not done in Soy Sauce, Orb has advised me not to use this for a while as it contains a lot of sodium) sliced and drizzled with American potato seasoning, tomato puree, Vegetable sage & onion with herbs slices and soft cheese portions one with mushroom, one extra strong and one with Gouda. Oh, and the Lemon Drizzles and a banana. Nice! 9.5/10.

Tired, but I think the legs and ankles are reducing in size and water content again. Fingers crossed.

Soon nodded off.

Inchcock: Tuesday 4th April 2017

Tuesday 4th April 2017

Tamil: செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை 4th ஏப்ரல் 2017

0255hrs: Woke with a start as usual lately. Slight memories of dreaming, none of them good I’m afraid. I was being harangued by different people about my bad memory? Ha, but I remembered this! Hehe!

As I tried to dismount the £300 second-hand recliner, it dawned on me that I had got a lot of water retention in the legs and feet, far more than normal. Perhaps this is the cause of the weight increasing every day for over a week? And believe me, the weight has been enlarging daily for nearly a week.

I did the Health Checks when I got into the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea and take the medications.

The red figure is the average for that week.

No wonder I’ve been struggling on my hobbles. Huh!

This mornings weight was even higher!

2Tue001a

To the porcelain throne and had a hell of a long and painful evacuationalising session! No bleeding from Haemorrhoid Harold though, and this, surprise me?

Washed the pots from last night and opened all the windows, as it felt incredibly warm in the flat this morning. Despite the thermometer telling me it was only 61°F (16°C) in the kitchen.

2Tue03I think the retention increased during the night too, ’cause the new jammie bottoms felt awfully tight around the top of the legs this morning, in comparison to last night?

Got the computer going and finalised the diary for yesterday and got it posted off into the internet ether, then began this one.

Did some Facebooking.

Then did some graphicationalisationing for the TFZer site.

2Tue04

EasterThen some I made into sepia after graphicalising them, of the TFZer gals celebrating Easter of old.

Hehehe!

Here’s one of them.

Posted them to the TFZer site, put them in my Facebook Photo album and sent some out to the gals sites.

2Tue05A mixture of overcast and sunny up to now today since it’s got light.

Tended to the ablutions, shower, shave, deordorisationing.

Cleaned the glasses and got attired, took the black bags to the chute and set off down to catch the bus into town so as to visit the Nottingham Arboretum and hopefully get some photographs of the wildlife and fauna there.

Being as I missed the L9 bus, I decided as the next one is not for an hour, to walk up the gravel path and through Woodthorpe Grange Park up and over the hill and catch a bus on Mansfield Road.

2Tue06I was soon stopped in my hobbling tracks as I found three baby squirrels playing on the grass near the trees about ten foot or so in front of me.

I liked the photo on the left best – after taking many photographicalisations of them that did not come out splendid at all.

Ah-well!

2Tue07

Up the path, left down the footpath through the park and right, up the hill and down to the bus stop.Didn’t have to wait long. The bus was full, and I had to sit on one of those side saddle seats, and this started the legs aching, and they haven’t stopped yet!

2Tue08One of Sherwood’s Pavement Cyclist nearly hit me as he rode off the pavement over the pedestrian crossing, the opposite way up a junction road (Photographe left) and onto the pavement opposite.

I took a while to get the camera out, but got him!

Didn’t have to wait long for the bus; it was full, and I had to sit on one of those side saddle seats, and this started the legs aching, and they haven’t stopped yet! Grumph!

Must have looked a rather sad sight as I limped across Mansfield Road and through to the Arboretum Gates. I’m putting this down to the water retention? I don’t like it! But still, the other ailments were being kind to me, apart from Duodenal Daniel that is.

2Tue09

2Tue09aThrough the entrance and approached the short Muggers Passage as it is known locally.

Out the other side and it was nice to see so much greenery compacted together.

Up to the left, I could see the Chinese Bell cannon balls and cannons.

Quick History:

The structure called “The Chinese Bell”, calls for a word of explanation, for it is a curious conglomeration of ideas and objects.

(1.) Richard Birkin, Esq, had efficiently served his fourth year of office as Mayor, and it was desired to record the event with approval.

(2.) ‘The Notts Regiment of Foot’ had deserved well of their town and county, which had sent it so many good soldiers that it ought to be recorded.

(3.) In the Crimean War of 1854-6, some cannon guns were taken at Sebastopol, and two of them were sent to Nottingham and mounted, and a heap of balls added.

(4.) During the war with China (1857) a bell, believed to consist of steel and silver, was “taken from a large and handsome Temple near to the east gate at Canton when that city was captured. This bell, which stood in the principal part of the Temple and was struck during religious ceremonies to call the attention of the Joss or God, or to announce his presence, was removed by the army and brought to Nottingham, and here it was mounted, and a canopy placed over it. The result being that guns partly Russian are mounted as firing from a Chinese Temple into the four quarters of the earth; while the bell has never been used”.

2Tue10

2Tue11

The fresh flowers and bushes were heartwarming, and for a few minutes, after I limped down to the pond, while feeding birds and ducks, I forgot about the bank fiasco, the ailments and the imminent operation totally.

That was nice.

2Tue14Out the bottom entrance and walked up into the City Centre.

Got into Trinity Square and took a photograph in the Jewellery store window of these glass thingamabobs.

They made me think of the TFZer gals for some reason. The larger ones were £2-3 thousand pound plus!

2Tue12At this window, I looked back (The right one) where I’d just walked, and there are eighteen eateries in this view some of them enormous. Not many customers about I thought? The left second picture taken to the right is of the three new dineries, each with two floors of customer settings! And only four or five people nearby, and they are all outside of the mega-restaurants?

2Tue15At the end of this Foreman Street on the right corner, is an entertainment thingy, Cinemas, games rooms, shops, restaurants, Casino, etc. (Not my photo, took this one off of the web)

I think there are three or four eateries in there, and two next door!

So, if any of you were thinking of relocating your food business to Nottingham, don’t bother! Hehe!

The sunshine got less and less as the day went on, but it was not cold or windy with it at all.

2Tue12aWalked down into the slab square.

Not even many folks there either.

Those who were looked decidedly morose, grumpy and miserable.

The Big Issue Sellers were absent from their usual haunts of Primark, Clumber Street and Exchange Walk?

A few of the rough sleepers were there, though, one on Upper Parliament Street, one on Queen Street and one on Long Row.

Had something happened that no one had told me about? Hehehe!

I bought a TV magazine for next week while I thought of it.

Caught the bus back to the flats, I think Nigel Mansell was driving it. After hitting a good selection of roadside kerbs, I got back to the flats safely.

Got in and rubbed some pain gel on the legs, unsure if it would help, though. It didn’t!

Got the already sprouting potatoes on the boil, after removing the sprouts of course.

2Tue16The computer utilised and updated this diary to here.

Got the meal of the day prepared quickly tonight. Crispy bacon (Ready cooked) Krakowska, soft cheese, cheddar, uneatable tomatoes, apple, beetroots, mushrooms and the old small potatoes.

 9/10 rating.

Took the medications and did the last health-check.

2Tue17

Please note the weight reduction, decrease and decline!

So, the very painful long hobble might have been worth it? Hehe! Noticed the temperatures were a bit higher this week?

The legs were even worse than then I was using them now. Although I think the swelling has gone down a bit. I don’t like these new pains you know. One gets used to the daily inclinations of Haemorrhoid Harold, Roger Reflux, Duodenal Daniel, Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis, Donald’s Dizzies, Colin’s Cramps, Inchies Lesion, etc. Now I have come up with a name for the water retention. Not easy this one, all the other names I came up with in an instant. What about:

  • Walters Water Retention: A bit long to be typing that one?
  • Willy’s Wet Water Well: No, not good that one: A bit long to be typing that one too?
  • Fred’s Fluid Retention: Mmm: A bit long to be typing that one too?
  • Ralph’s Retention Reservoir: A bit long to be typing that one too?
  • Walter’s Water Well: Mmm?
  • Henry H20 storage: Mmm again?

No, I don’t like any of them. Need help with these options folks?

Settled to fall asleep to the TV’s accompaniment.

Woke around 0050hrs and recalled a rather disturbing dream I was having, wrote it down. Then decided to get up put the computer on and update this diary with the dream memories: (What a Plonka!):

Dream: I was laying asleep in a tree, with animals all around me, squirrels, birds, mice, Koala bears, puppies amongst them. My legs had turned to stone, but pretty coloured stone?  I was totally unconcerned about this, and the animals were doing noughts & crossed on the surface of the legs and arguing about which colour to use. There was one puppy that kept bringing me a flask of tea, he had a brace around his neck and always licked my face after he brought me one?

After putting this on here, I wondered what the hell I was doing and if I’d dreamt doing it?

But sure enough, in the morning here it was?

In the event that Inchcock should disappear from the internet, this will probably be due to the lack of computerisationalistical equipment at the prison, asylum or psychiatric hospital.

Hehe! TTFN.

Inchcock – Monday 3rd April 2017: The Banking Farce Continues – Humph!

1Mon03Monday 3rd April 2017

Finnish: Maanantai 03 Huhtikuu 2017

Woke at 0400hrs, disappointed in not recalling the dreams at all. Took the morning medications.

Got the washing clothing and things ready to go down to the laundry Room. Down and got the machine going. The washers and dryers are now free to use! Well, not actually, they are putting the cost on the rent increasing it by £5.

Then back up to the apartment and did a search for the Lumix camera I used last night to photographicalise the meal. Got into a right state when I could not find it (Again!) Tsk! However, I thought at first during the search underneath the 1962 E-plan sideboard, that I’d found another garden pea – but no, it was a wooden bead. Which caused me more confusion, because as far as know, I’ve never had any of these in the flat?

30 minutes later I returned downstairs to move the things into the dryer. Mable from the 8th floor was doing her washing, and she asked me if I would let her use the big dryer. No problem at all, I’d not got much in the wash anyway. I put the clobber in the small dryer. We had a chat on the way back up in the lift.

0450hrs: Another search around for the Lumix camera… and I found it, in the brown tray in the bookshelf I’d looked into in the first place? I could do not believe it – I think I might need some help about this yer know… Hehe!

Made a mug of tea and started finishing off yesterday’s diary, got it posted off. Then made a start on this one.

1Mon060550hrs: Back down to collect the washing, taking the camera with me.

Not much today.Cleaned the filter.

Leaving some nibbles for Mable on her laundry bag.

Back on the computer to carry on with this post. WordPressed a while then Facebooked before it was time to get the ablutions tended to.

Then I realised I’d wiped the surfaces in the Laundry Room, but not cleaned out the filter! So, back down once again and got it cleaned up.

Used the stairs to go down, 24 flight’s of concrete hobbled down, to get a bit of exercise like. (The weight?) Got the lift back up. Hehe!

Swapped the four bin bags and took the full ones to the refuse chute and prepared all the paperwork folders to take with me to the bank. Gathered the glass jars of Olive’s and mine in the bag to take to the skip on the way out.

Walked down the stairs again on the way. Chatted to two residents who were waiting for a bus, then out and to the Windwood Tenants Contact Point Shed. Both Obergruppenfurheresses were in. Informed them of my going to the bank, Chemists and Clinic explaining the bank farce continuation. They both offered advice to me: Obergruppenfureress Deana said: “Get yourself down there and bollock em!” Obergruppenfureress Julie advised: “Tell em to get stuffed!”

It’s comforting to know that trained, educated, helpful personnel are being paid to help look after us old folk sometimes. Scragglebumph! Hehehe! Gave them a lamb stewpot.

1Mon05Out and over the road to the glass recycling bins and deposited the jars, then left along Chestnut Walk and right down Winchester Street Hill.

The grass here had been cut and scattered back on top, it smelt lovely.

Down into Sherwood and called at the Bank. 1005hrs: Joined the queue and had to relate all the things that had been going on with me bank transfer from the beginning! She told me to wait, and the new manageress would come to me.

1010hrs: She came introduced herself, took me into an office after a brief explanation from me of the problems. Had to inform her of all the procedures that had gone wrong, yet again!

Seven weeks ago, I called to see about moving my bank account from the old bank to this one. I was told what ID proof I’d need, and he arranged for me to meet with him three days later. A two and a half hour meeting going through all the required.

Attended the meeting and all seemed to go well enough, I was assured that it would all be okay and the account transferred within seven days. I was told that an introductory box would arrive shortly, and I was to destroy the old card immediately.

I received the box and new card a fortnight later. Killed the old card and went down to the bank to get some cash on the new card… the ATM informed me that this service in unavailable. Went in and spoke with the lady behind the counter, having to explain things from the start again! Waited. Met with the manager, who told me he had made an error in accepting the State pension detail letter, as it had the wrong Postcode on it.He then rang them and arranged for a new letter with the proper postcode on it that would be sent to me. Bring it in when it arrives.

Ten days later, still it had not arrived. Down to the bank again! He rang them again and explained things to them. Again the said they would send a new statement with the proper code on it.

Three days later (A Saturday of course) the statement arrived – with the wrong code still on it!

Waited until Monday and saw the bank manager again, same procedure.

Then the following Saturday, the same thing. Waited until Monday and saw the bank manager again. This time (Today) the new manager was in situ – and I had to go all through the problems with the bank counter clerk again and waited to see the new bank manager, Lisa Del Gracidio. Then go through it all again, getting right pissed off I was now!

She was reluctant to phone the State Pension people, but after some persuasion, she did, we got the same promise of a new statement would arrive within three days with the proper postcode on it. (Third or fourth time I’d had this commitment now I reckon!) Then, she said: You could ask your Doctor for these details (She’d scribbled them on an A4 sheet) and assurances and sign them as an oath, then you could bring in that letter on the surgery headed notepaper, and we’ll try that as ID proof! But it’s up to you!

At this, I slipped in a mention of this being suitable to go on the Trust Pilot website – she was not impressed, and her glare looked like it could or should have shrivelled me on the spot! I was on a roll now… I smiled forcefully and said: “Well I’m so glad to hear that you are all for assisted suicide then!” A semi-puzzled look spread over her face, and I added: “Well yer killing me with all this worry and hassle!” I pointed out I was only joking, but I wasn’t.

I informed her I would call at the surgery and beg the Doctor to supply the needed details, and IF the State Pension ID with the right Postcode on it arrives, or the Doctor provides one, I’d return to the bank with it.

We parted the best of new enemies. Walked up through Sherwood and down into Carrington calling in the Sherringham Park Surgery. The receptionist listened patiently as I explained the request and gave the banks Gruppenfurheress’s list of demands and the telephone nu1Mon06mber for her. She agreed with me that things with the ID were in a mess. Then informed me that my Doctor Vindla was not in today but should be tomorrow, and she will let her have the request if she agrees she’ll let me know via email, and I should be able to call on Thursday or Friday to collect it.

Thanked her and was out down to the Chemist. Who informed that the prescriptions should be available to be collected on Friday.

1Mon10Caught the bus back into Sherwood and called at the Continental Food Shop and got some bread and Krakowski meat.

1Mon07On leaving the store on Mansfield Road, I observed two pigeons totally ignoring what looked like the remains of a Kebab in the roadside gutter.

Wise birds I thought! Doctored this one by adding the birds.

Not unless perhaps they had eaten just the chips? Hehe!

1Mon09

Three-quarters of the way up Winchester Street Hill, some new growth was forcing its way through the fencing, with just one berry on it. Looked a bit like Holly to me.

Onwards up the hill and into the flat, put the things away, felt sorry for me and the out again to catch the bus to the City Hospital and the GUM clinic.

Snotty-pants was at the reception again. I was seen in a shot this time, no giant magnifying glasses used either. Told to stop the anti-bleeding cream and given some 1Mon08healing cream to use for the red swelling. I was in and out in fifteen minutes, five more and I was on the 40 bus, another ten minutes and I was dropping off on Winchester Street Hill. Never been known to be so quick and sorted so soon.

More new growths near the bus stop.

Put the cream in the cabinet drawer. Made a brew and got the computer going to update this post.

1Mon12Got the meal on the go.

Krakowska sarnies, veg slices, marmite crisps, silverskin onions various flavoured cheese portions, lovely beetroot, cheese crispies and followed with an iced lolly.

The drained sensation overcame me, and I got the TV on and fell asleep.

Woken by the mobile phone at my side ringing… Humph! More bad news! The surgery called to tell me that Dr Vindla would not be back from sick leave for at least another week and could not make and sign the form for the Bank for me until she returns, and only if she agrees to do it, then.

The gloom added to the tiredness and I should have begun to feel depressed again really, but a resignation to my bad luck reigned within. Not contentment or acceptance, rather a sensation of melancholy and exasperation over the bad luck and Whoopsiedangleplops and Accidfaupas that had seemingly become a part of my aged life.

Turned off the TV I’d fell asleep watching in the first place and drifted off into sleep quickly and a nightmare of a dream. There were antagonists of all sorts verbally attacking me in an office, finger poking, sneering, scowling at me… Couldn’t understand why.

Inchcock: Friday 31st March 2017

5Fri01

Friday 31st March 2017

Chichewa (Malawi): Lachisanu 31 March 2017

0400hrs: Woke once again trying to recall the dreams I knew I’d had all night long, waking often throughout the night. For some reason, I did not make any notes despite my desire to remember them, as they were all scary I know that, but not a single event remembered again! Damnations!

As I dismounted the shuddering scarily £300 second-hand recliner, one again Arthur Itis, Roger Reflux and Duodenal Daniel were in a good mood and not bothering me. Anne Gyna soon started kicking off, but still not complaining. Even the gum I stabbed was easier… mind you, I hadn’t eaten or drank owt yet? Hehe!

Off to the porcelain throne, and Haemorrhoid Harold had only been bleeding the tiniest bit. It was looking good, but give it time. Hehe! Doing a lot of laughing this morning, worrying that!

5Fri02aTitivated myself and creamed the areas requiring it. Into the kitchen and made a cuppa and took the medications with a nice strong cup of tea.

How I didn’t howl out with agony when the hot tea went into the gash in the gum, I don’t know! Looks like I’m going to suffer when eating and drinking for a while.

Wonder if I’ve got any straws anywhere? Then I might be able to bypass the lesion when drinking?

Washed the pot’s I’d missed doing last night and got the computer on to finalise Thursday’s post and start this one off.

Did a bit of WordPressing, then onto Facebooking.

Spent hours on it, but still, I enjoyed it.

5Fri12dLinda Novak mentioned her local area statistics on a Facebook comment and her post and this got me searching for mine.

No idea what period the little screen grab covers, though.

Then onto doing a graphic for the TFZers site.

This is  Linda, at her imaginary Leisure Lounge window, with a suitable colection of lads inside with her. Hahaha!

LoungeI hope she likes it.

I took a photograph as the clouds darkened on the horizon. I took one with each camera.

5Fri12e

The new Nikon camera seems to have caught more detail? Not that the Lumix one was bad mind?

Found I’d left the hot water tap running – Humph! No shave yet then, not sure when it comes back on, this night mode thingy. 1330hrs, and not warming up yet.

5Fri12fMade a brew and took the afternoon medications.

Found the miniature worded booklet for the new camera in readiness to have a self-lesson in the finer intricacies of the thing.

I’ve spotted a diopter control wheel, whatever one of those are.

I may invest in a one-to-one lesson at Jessops methinks. Wonder how much they cost?

5Fri12gThe clouds were getting much lighter now.

Photographed it using the new Nikon camera.

What the white spot on it is, I just don’t know. Hang on, I’ll nip into the kitchen to see if I can see it int sky. – Nope!

It says: BUILT-IN ELECTRONIC VIEWFINDER (EVF)

The high-definition 921k-dot, 0.2-in LCD (with diopter adjustment) electronic viewfinder gives 100% of frame coverage, so you’ll always know exactly what you’re shooting. Switch shooting styles seamlessly from screen to viewfinder, as the eye sensor automatically switches from monitor shooting when your eye gets close to the sensor. Viewfinder shooting is useful for cramped conditions and also ensures stable posture, minimising camera shake. I’m afraid this means little to me.

I’ve been on Jessops site and found out the Level One Course is £190, but might be worth it to get the best from the camera, so Saturday, I might nip to town and the Jessop store to book one. Too late today with me running out of hot water.

Checked the tap, and it’s just getting warm.

Tom CaviarTomCafeDid some more graphicalisationing.

5Fri12iTook a final photographicalisation of the sky.

I’ve taken to this camera now.

Got the meal cooking.

Made some Bisto lamb gravy and added it to the lamb stew, arrange the sliced potatoes on top as per the instructions. 20 minutes later I added a vegetarian and one battered sausage and some of the little tomatoes to the tray in 5Fri12hthe oven.

Very nice, I really enjoyed this one. A lemon fool and a banana to follow.

Got the TV on… well, I needed something to fall asleep to.

Hehe!

Gave up watching the TV and nodding off and read the book for a while.

Then nodded off!

Inchcock Today: Monday 27th March 2017

1Mon03

Monday 27th March 2017

Italiano: Lunedi 27 Marzo 2017

Up late 0445hrs. Feeling fatigued, enfeebled, wearily tired and with so many ailments and pains, I could hardly believe it myself. Shattered and feeling so depressed.

The memories from the dreams I’d had in my marathon sleep session were not pleasant either. I think I must have had at least 7½ hours kip, a lot for me.

As soon as I moved to get out of the £300 second-hand on-its-last-legs recliner, the innards started rumbling away, and nothing else mattered other than to get to the porcelain throne ASAP!

1Mon07In my panic to do this, as I stood up I trod on the headphones. The torch and TV remote thingy fell onto the floor, and I stubbed my big toe against the Ottoman footstool, and then again, against the wet-room door as I scrambled in, then hit my already bruised elbow from yesterday’s Accifauxpa on the cabinet as I sat down!

The evacuation was over in seconds, with much blood loss from Haemorrhoid Harold as well. I cleaned everything and myself up, and plonked myself back down on the throne; Feeling right sorry for me! I think all my common ailments were acting up, apart from Arthur Itis wh0 was little bother this morning – the elbow I clouted when I fell backwards over the Ottoman yesterday was stinging a bit too. I took a few second to try and compose myself.

Into the kitchen to make a brew and take the medications. This was when I realised I had not taken last nights doses or had a meal yesterday? No wonder I feel so rotten.

1Mon05I’d planned to do the laundry this morning, but it was too late to get a machine by now. So I got the computer on and found an email from Sister Jane. She informed me that Arthur had been put to sleep.

Email: “Poor old Arthur is no more, but lovely Vet was so kind. Pete gave him a kiss before he went (not the Vet).
Arf had a lump on his side and had lost a lot of weight and being almost 20, we all decided the inevitable had to be done. They wrapped him in a lovely blanket and Pete dug a grave next to his Mum and Sister in the back garden.
Strange now only 21yr old Fooey Posh Cat and Alberto (about 8yrs).
Sending v.last pic of Arthur on his cushion on the floor as he couldn’t jump up on his fav chair anymore.”

Poor Jane and Pete. I feel so for them. Had a little sob.

By now, I felt horribly down, discouraged and pessimistic about life. The bank problems and the Bully problems joined the health ones in going around and around in my head. I don’t know how long I sat there in a dream world of disturbingly confusing thoughts.

1Mon06Never felt like this before!

Got a good stab of pain from Duodenal Daniel, into the kitchen to get a healthy swig of the rather ineffective medicine, and saw the street lights going out below.

Somehow, I associated this with my life as it is today? I’m sure at this time I was going to sink even lower in spirits… down to the next level of incapability, a resignation, the need for Nepenthe… Luckily, as I was dropping to this level, things suddenly felt not so bad. I thought of the family members of the victims of the terror atrocities, the children, old and young dying in the bombs… and I felt so ashamed of myself.

I’m not saying there was sudden bright light and I felt elevated or anything like that, just that I stopped feeling sorry for myself, and felt a little guilty for doing so in the first place.

By gum that was an intense few moments of writing from me? Sorry about that.

Got yesterday’s diary completed and started this one off up to here.

Did some blogging followed by Facebooking.

Carried out the ablutionisationing, put some antiseptic cream on my battered elbow and dressed ready to catch the L9 bus into town to look at the cameras on offer at Jessops Camera Store.

Took the rubbish bags, four of them today, cause yesterday I wasn’t up to bothering. (Shame indeed!). To the refuse chute on the way down to the foyer.

Hat a gossip with some residents also waiting to go out for the bus of their choice.

The Newcastle Lady from the 14th floor told us that the L8 bus is stopping the service next or this week !?!?! We don’t know it this is for the period of the updating the flats (Mind you, that is going to take a minimum of two years and six months!) Or if it is being deleted permanently? Not good news that!

1Mon09Got into town and walked straight to the Jessop Camera store on Clumber Street.

Where I succumbed to the selling skills of an annoyingly young fit looking assistant with hair. Haha!

Ended up by buying a Nikon Coolpix B700 – ANIKOCMO 85282559 camera.

Well, that’s what the receipt says anyway.

1Mon16I tried to remember the tips kindly given me by Timothy Price, an expert on these things. Being reduced on special offer might have tainted my choice, but the main thing was, the bloke said this one had the highest zoom at X60. I think he said it was a ‘Bridge Camera’, not aware of what this means; I’ll try to remember to look it up later.

I tried to remember the tips kindly given me by Timothy Price, an expert on these things. And, I think I understood some of the things he said, thanks to the advice and tips given me by Tim. Thanks, to Timothy Price.

Being reduced on special offer might have tainted my choice, but the main thing was, the bloke said this one had the highest zoom at X60.

I plodded down to and through the Slab Square to the M & S store and up to the Gentlemen’s outfitting department.

Where I bought some braces and a pair of comfortable looking cotton jammies.

Down the escalator’s, I went into the food section in the basement. Coming out with some Lamb Stew meals and a small loaf of batch bread.

Leaving the store, I  gave a Big Issue Seller a bit of cash. Oh, the look on her poor face as she was totally being ignored, got to me.

I decided to go to the Primark store to see if they had any cheaper braces in stock so as to treat myself to another pair. They did not have any in. So I checked the timing for the bus and decided I had time to go to Victoria Centre and get some nuts and have a look around the market.

Leaving Primark, I came across another Big Issue Seller; he was so obviously trying to look cheerful I gave him a bit of cash too. If I saw any more of these poor soles, I’d have to avoid them, or I’d go broke. Haha!

1Mon10To Upper Parliament Street and over the walkway into the place. Got some nuts and a pair of trousers cause they were 27″ leg, and I don’t often see them this size, just my barrow too!

Left by the same route. The canned tinny music as normal, the leaking roof with buckets and a warning sign near them at the end of the passageway, the flakes of cheap paint dropping down looking like small leaves.

1Mon11Had a hobble around with the now cumbersome and full bags hindering my progress. I know, it’s my fault! Huh!

I timed it well as it happened, arriving at the bus stop and taking this photograph at midday.

The L9 was due at five past the hour.

I enjoyed a little chinwag with a lady at the bus stop.

Getting on the bus, the heavier of the two bags slipped but being the fit quick wizard that I am; I caught it before it fell onto the floor… clouting my damaged elbow on the door edge as I did. Humph!

Toyed with a crossword en route, off the bus, and up to the flat and into the porcelain room. Checked things out, and found the blood had been flowing again. Change of clothes, a wash-up and into the kitchen to put the kettle on. I thought how annoying it was that I overslept for the first time ever, and had no time to do the laundry, now I was getting short of clean clothes due to the extra dirty clothes thanks to the bleeding starting once more. I really must get my head down quick tonight, so I can rise early in the morning and get the laundry done!

Not having a lot of good luck the last few days. But still, no complaints from me (I lie! Hehe!)

1Mon17Got the food away, new apparel and put the new camera away ready for later, when I hope to have the time and concentration to work out how to set it up, and it works.

But, while storing the box with the new camera, I thought it best if I was to put it on charge.

That did it, I got all confused. The charging plug was in three pieces. I had bits and pieces I cold not identify and didn’t know how to fit the strap. Got the booklet, tiny print.

Got it on charge an hour or so later, but no lights or whatever showing. Tried to use the camera, nothing happened.

1Mon18

Eventually, I realised after opening it, there was no battery in it. Back to the box and found it. Fitted it and put one of the old SD cards in.

Ah, it was charging now. Unplugged and took a photograph of the radio in the kitchen to try out.

The real test will come when I try to get a distance shot later.

Well, it works!

1Mon19Put it back onto charge, took the photo.

The green ring light was flashing on and off. I assumed that means it is nearly charged?

Must keep my eye on this. Don’t want to spoil the new battery now, do I?

I got the mushrooms in the saucepan of water, added some Soy Mushroom Sauce them simmering.Put some chips in the oven.

1Mon12

Put some chips in the oven.

Updated this blog up to here.

Checked the TV magazine to what to watch, lots of interest tonight. But the eyelids were growing heavy, and I knew the chances of any viewing would be rather slight.

Got the fodder ready.

1Mon20Cooked meat, cheeses, beetroot, mushrooms and chips. Not cooked enough, but there you go… further proof I’m not a cook or chef. Hehe!

Best I could grant this effort score-wise was a 5/10.Took the medications and tended to Haemorrhoid Harold’s discharge.

Took the drugs and tended to Haemorrhoid Harold’s discharge.

Got the goggle-box on and managed to stay awake for a full programme.

Yet another weird dream. I was flying (literally) all over the world (in seconds) trying to bring peace and harmony. Of course, I failed, then I decided I had no option other than to blow-up the Earth and hung in space watching the explosion. Felt pleased that I’d eradicated the violence, hatred, greed and animosity… then I faded out of the dream – and believe it, cause it’s true – I found myself in a TV commercial for Fairy Snow soap powder as a women doing the washing, but singing the 1962 Pepsodent toothpaste jingle ♫ “You’ll wonder where the yellow went – When you brush your teeth with Pepsodent!” ♫

I woke again and realised I’d only been sleeping for few minutes? How can one do so much in a dream in seconds? Anyway, I know I wrote down all about this dream cause I found it on the pad in the morning.

I couldn’t get this tune out of my head!

TTFN.

Insanity has arrived in my brain!

Inchcock Today: Wednesday 22nd March 2017 – Oddest dream ever… I think?

0325hrs: Up, out of the £300 second-hand recliner and onto the porcelain thrown by 0332hrs, it was urgent! Hehe! Once again things were doing alright bleeding-wise in the front and rear of this ever growing more-flobby-body. Although Little Inchy was red, inflamed and sore, there was no bleeding at all again.

Carried out the health checks, the weight was up again, though.

3Wed05

Everything else looked okay mind.

Made a brew, looked for the blue mug a while before remembering I’d dropped and broken it yesterday. Humph!

Computer started and WordPressing commenced; Finished off yesterday’s and got it posted. Had a WordPress viewing session. During which I came across this one posted by mate Duncan MadHatters – Toddlers nighttime activities Worth a look cause it’ll make you smile without a doubt.

Unfortunately, when I watched it and saw there was a sound to it, I had to put the headphones on to listen and it was just Benny Hill background music, it only goes for a couple of minutes, but during this time, the poor old Morrison delivery driver rang the intercom to be let into the flats – and I didn’t hear him of course. He had to ring the landline and tell me. Still, he alright about it when he got here and I showed him the video clip, he had to laugh and smile.

I had a wash and clean-up early, in case the palaeontologist arrives early.. hang on… palaeontologist? that’s not right, is it? Can’t remember the new title they have now, but I meant Susan the Chiropodist.

Left the socks off in readiness, but that was not a good idea, I started sneezing regularly.

Put the goods away then started this blog off.

Then onto Facebook, made some graphics to use first.

3Wed07

To the porcelain for a heavy duty session… again? Still no bleeding, good!

The foot lady Susan arrived. I got more pain from her than I did the dentist when I had a filling last week. Hehe! But she is beautiful and charming. We had a gossip and laugh as she applied the agony. She then toyed with the TV DVD buttons and got the thing working again! So glad and grateful I was at the time.

After she departed, I found I still can’t pause, fast forward or backwards, or change the sound on the DVD?

When she’d gone, I had a search for and collection of the shot-away nail clippings – amazing how far they go. I half expected to find another rock-hard escapee garden pea. Hehe!

Tried watching the Boon DVD, but with being unable to adjust the volume, or stop and go back to listen again to something I was not sure of, I gave up, no pleasure in watching it like that. Shame.

I called Olive, but bad news there. She didn’t want any visitors as she was so unwell. The heart sank. She said she was going into hospital in the morning for investigations into her new ailment. She’d be back after around 1400hrs and I could ring again then to see if she was up to letting me call on her. A prayer was said, something I rarely do, but just felt it might help. My spirits sank.

3Wed06I got the fodder going and ended up with a super successful meal, but could not enjoy it.

The cheesy potatoes came out almost perfect, but I was not in the mood to appreciate this.

A put some antiseptic cream on the burnt finger. Tsk!

After eating and doing the washing up, I updated the Health Checklist and settled to watch some TV – now that will let me use the remote and change options, but not the DVD?

3Wed07When I went to the porcelain room, I was sure I could hear a rumbling noise. No bleeding again, that was nice. When I came out the reason for the noise became apparent, it was thunder.

When I came out the reason for the noise became apparent, it was thunder.

The sky was dark, but no rain whatsoever, and the thunder lasted for a while? I got up and onto the computer and made a representation of the 3Wed08adream.

I think I was arguing over something with the hand coming through the gap in the clouds and up popped, I assumed, Jesus who promptly started telling me why I would not make it into heaven?

Details of the banking farce came into the lecture, my falling into the canal as a nipper and I think he told me off for not taking a good enough picture of his sky?

Tsk!

Inchcock Today: Saturday 18th March 2017 – Early Whoopsidangleplops today.

6Sat02

Saturday 18th March 2017

Afrikaans: Saterdag 18 Maart 2017

Awoken with a start around 0230hrs. Sweating shivering and in low spirits. Tried my best to recall the dreams, but other than a vague belief that they were about my schooldays, nothing concrete.

The mind was riddled with concerns over the banking problems and my failure to sort things out This I think, decided me to try and keep busy to avoid them. I chose to get the laundry room duties done straight away. No washing or cleaning just got the glasses, pants and shoes on, picked up the bag of laundry with the everything needed for the task, in it and went down to the ground floor and got them in the machine and going.

6Sat10To the apartment and got the medication pots for the week done and sorted.

Started on Facebooking for a while before it was time to go down and move the washing out of the washer and into the dryer. Note how well I worked out what needed doing this time?

Hehehe!

0325hrs: Down to the laundry taking the camera with me. Moved the togs and cleaned the washer.

6Sat07I popped out of the front doors to take a photo of the view across the road, hoping it might come out as a ‘Moody’ type one.

It was warm and wet, and I could hear some of the bird calls, and make out they were different ones, even without my hearing aids in.

Luckily, I’d got the key fob in my jumper pocket to let myself back in with. Phew!

Shot back up to my tiny dwelling called home, and got the computer on, finished the Facebooking session, and got some graphicalisationing started. Must keep the brain from wandering back to the problems!

0425hrs: Back down to collect the things.

6Sat07a

6Sat11Timed it well for once, the Finish sign flashed up as I got in the room. Took a photo for no particular reason, and noticed how oddly shaded it came out? Very nice, but unplanned?

I think I’d moved the selection dial to this icon in mistake, but having no idea what it means didn’t help me solve the mystery. I changed it back to auto and took a photo of the clothing. Okay.

As I unloaded the clothes and folded them ready to go into the bag – I realised how few items there really were there? How, I inquired of my stunted confused brain, did I go five days since the last wash, and only have two pairs of socks, and three underpants in a pile? No towels either, in fact only four jumper-shirt thingamabobs? I was puzzled yet again?

Cleaned the dryer and fluff filter, wiped around and returned back up to the flat. The first task was to respond to the late call to the porcelain for a heavy duty session. Oh dearie me… Haemorrhoid Harry was still bleeding, after a check of things I decided to have a strip wash and put the clothes into the laundry bag after soaking them. Did the teggies and had a shave while they were soaking. Didn’t want to have a shower in case of disturbing the neighbours so early.

Then back onto the porcelain for another session! Blimey! Harry’s internal’s was still leaking.

However, I put some padded protection pants on… Like a giant nappy they are! Hehehe!

I put away the washed items and returned the bag to the other room… and spotted another bag with laundry waiting to be done in it! I did feel a fool (Nothing new there, mind!). I must have started two bags of laundry? Ah well, I’ll see if I can get this lot done in the morning. Tsk!

Computerisationing again. Worked on the diaries off, foolishly starting this one off first, thinking so much has happened already and I’d gone photographing mad too, better get it down now while I remember. This will make remembering the yesterday ending even harder! I’ve confused myself more and more today already, and it’s 0nly 0700hrs!

6Sat12I could hear the wind getting up outside (Mind you, the wind was starting inside. Hehe!).

I nipped bravely out onto the balcony to take a shot from a different angle. Facing North (To the right of the flat).

The wind and rain had soaked me within seconds. It was that dead thin and small drops rain that catches you out innit?

6Sat12aI then went into the kitchen to take a picture while hanging out of the window, of the view below. Catching my head against the frame and knocking the hearing aid at the same time. The tubing came out and I tried to catch it – fumbling and trying not to drop the camera, I dropped the tubing…

Went down the lift and outside, but could not see it anywhere, despite my determination and getting blown about by the wind and soaked in the rain, again! Made it worse cause I went down like a clot, wearing the slippers! It probably got blew away in the wind. So, if anyone in France, Germany, Holland, Russia or America see a plastic hearing aid tube landing anywhere nearby, it’ll probably be mine. Hope some bird doesn’t mistake it for a worm?

Back up to 72 and into the wetroom to dry myself off, swap slippers and have a change of clothes. Tsk!

I’m fed-up with today already! Still, it’s bound to improve innit?…. Innit?

Pressed on with the diaries again. Then answered some nice comments on WordPress, and got ready to walk down to the shops for some bread and fruit… not any cream cakes of course, though, oh no… Ahem!

Dressed, a spray of deodorant, long distance glasses on, hearing aid inserted, normal underwear on, hat on, bag ready and off I set.

6Sat19

6Sat17Down Winchester Street hill first and to the continental shop for a loaf of their delicious bread – but they had some of the belly pork with herbs and peppers on display, and I weakened. Shame number One!

Up the hill to the greengrocery shop and bought just one potato – I say one potato… look how big it was when I got it into my full sized oven cooking later. Ginormous! It’ll probably take two days to bake and last me a week!

Then the simple task of walking passed the cake shop and not looking in the window display… which I failed (Shame number Two!). Two Fresh Cream Buns with strawberry jam inside and vanilla icing on top. Of course, 6Sat20 I would never have been tempted or interested in buying such unhealthy foodstuffs normally. It’s just that I thought Olive would like one.

Carried on up and over the hill and right up through Woodthorpe Grange Park.

A few yards up the path, and I espied a rather beautiful lone wood pigeon on the grass. I got out the camera, convinced with my luck he’she would have flown away by the time I

6Sat14

got it out, but was lucky and took several pictures before it did fly away. It seemed to me, a bit like a search for twigs for the nest was taking place? Bootiful!

6Sat15Up to the top of the path to turn tight down the gravel path passing the copse, when I realised how kind Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna were being to me. When I got to the Copse, I took a photograph showing the flats and the edge of the trees. I wondered if this one would do for Maries Nature Challenge Photo on her Facebook page.

Down the rest of the path, and met 93-yeat-old tenant Eddy coming up the path, and a lot faster than I can get up it! He was feeding the crows.

6Sat18Up into the flat, and I got the giant potato into the oven and took a piccy of the other stuff for you slaver over. Hehe! The belly pork looked and smelt so irresistibly tempting. I’ll have it for nosh tonight with some cheesy mashed then baked potatoes.

That is if the mega-spud ever cooks. Haha!

I’d like to have some garden peas with them, but fear another battle with the exasperating little vegetables. Hehe!

Made a mug of tea, and for some reason thought I’d hand-washed two shrunken kippah style 6Sat16caps. I must remember to keep turning them over.

Did them in warm water and used washing-up liquid. So I did.

Also washed out the cleaning cloths afterwards.

Rang them out best I could, and put them on the towel warmer in the hallway. It will take ages for the thick caps to dry ready for use again, but I have some others in the airing cupboard.

Going to see Olive in a bit, I’ve to call first to see if it is okay, mind. Hope she wants the cake, I know she likes these ones, ’cause last when I took her one and told her it was a cream iced scone (Thinking that was what they were called), and she told me off for getting the wrong ones. Luckily her grandson was due to visit and I left it in her fridge for him. She had a look later and realised it was the one she loves so much and ate it up. So now I know they are called Iced Cream Buns!

Got the computer going and did some diary updating, then awhile on Facebook.

6Sat21Oh, nearly forgot I took this one in Sherwood near the top of the hill.

Very sad place Sherwood for shopping.Three

Three stores have closed down this month. One of them a large supermarket, Budgens.

Of the other two, one I think was a ladies hairdresser the other a sadly failed florist.

Looking at this photo: It is Saturday and around 1130hrs, not many folks about is there? Too many shops, not enough people. However, the regular Big Issue Seller was in attendance and there were some stalls forming a Farmers Market, I felt sorry for them, no customers there while I was in the vicinity. Sad.

Went to see Olive, remembering to take the Cream Iced Strawberry bun.

She looked and sounded to be in good form. Even told me off, just the once mind. We had a jolly chinwag and laugh. She is still waiting for the date for her operation and has organised the after-op help she’ll need. Assistance for dressing and bathing lady all sorted. She’s even filled her freezer with ready meals to save hassle and walking/standing afterwards too. She’s been shopping for these this morning with her grandson, Malcolm. An amazing woman, no wonder I admire and love her so.

Best moment of my day when she smiled when she saw the cream cake.

7Sat24Back to the flat and got the giant potato out of the oven and halved it ready to scrape out the flesh into the bowl and mix it with cheese…

This is not a photo of the actual potato, but one I found on the web that resembled it the closest. Oh, gnashfumbleandammit! A large area of pure white, what looked and felt like soft plastic was around the dark area.

I removed the infected flesh and used the rest of it. A good bashing and mixing with some extra strong cheddar cheese, and out it in the oven with the potato spread wide and thin, which made it look like a lot more than it was. Turned the oven up high and did some Facebooking with the TFZers. Added the sausages later.

So, it turned out fortunate that the lady gave me such a whopping potato, didn’t it? Hehe!

7Sat23The weather turned a bit nasty, high winds and rain.

Popped in to use the WC, and found that Little Inchy had been bleeding again.Got the ablutions done and the meal prepared.

Getting fed up with this leaking blood lark. I’ll have to get some more of the extra large PCP’s, (Protective Comfort Pants) and they are not cheap.

Ah, just realised why I had so few underpants to wash now – I’d been wearing the throw-away PCPs! If it isn’t Little Inchy its Haemorrhoid Harold bleeding lately. Tsk!

7Sat22Served up the meal. Pleased with how the potatoes had browned off, the thin chipolatas were tasty, as was the beetroot, pickled mushrooms, siverskin onions, and best of all the garden peas – I put some demerara sugar in the saucepan with them when I warmed them up.

The naughty cream cake was a pleasurable indulgence again, but I managed to drop the banana, got out of the £300 second-hand rickety recliner to retrieve it… and trod on it! I thought I’d cleaned it all up… more, later.

Put the washing in the sink to soak, checked the bobble hats on the towel dryer; they were still wet? then got the Boon DVD on to watch. Which went well staying awake-wise. Turned to the TV to watch the football on channel five.

To the Porcelain room, and checked Little Inchy and Haemorrhoid Harold, both of which seemed to have steadied up and indeed neither was bleeding at the time. Got the PCPs off and returned to settle down and watch the end of the football, this is when I realised I had not got all of the banana up off of the carpet. Clouted my elbow as I tumble slipping on the tiniest blob of squashed banana.

If this diary was to made into a book (Comedy of course), folks reading it would think something like; Rubbish!, No one can have such bad luck! or maybe, Utter Tosh, don’t believe it!

Anne Gyna stopped me getting any sleep much, or rather getting off to sleep for hours, the latest I’ve been in getting the head down for months.

And yet, I don’t remember being concerned in the slightest about this?
