03:10hrs: I woke, and almost without any worrying, fretting or concerns about anything, I found I had risen from the £300, second-hand, c1968, grungy-beige coloured, rickety recliner, and was on my feet taking a wee-wee, and muttering a few curse words at the pain from the RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis) knees.

WD 0.0.50 The wording changed target, as soon as the GPEB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency Bucket) was utilised. A totally unexpected type, of the HELPSOAO (Hard-Extra-Long-Powerful-Spraying-Out-All-Over) leak! (Caught me off-guard a bit! Hehe!)

I went into the kitchen, put the kettle on and took the morning medications. Moved the handwashing onto the airer and hung the shirt to dry. Made the brew, and the shoulder kicked off with its jumping and jerking for a few minutes, stopped, and the fingers and hand took over. Tsk!

5Fri019I was sure I heard a bang from outside somewhere, so I ventured onto the balcony to take a look around. With it being so dark, this was not easy. I took a couple of photographs while out there. They didn’t come out very good, though. I shot in Auto mode.

The only thing out of the ordinary, was a car parked with its lights on, all bar one of the front ones, which might have needed the bulb changing. On taking a look an hour or so later, it had driven-off?

A police car came up Chestnut Way to the end, and back out, passing the car twice. There have been incidents of drug-deals being done in the area recently.

WD 0.0.50 As I was getting the computer started, the damned shoulder started off again, with an unusual venom. Not to mention the fingers and hands joining in. (Oh, I did reveal it! Hahaha!) Then, a couple of visits from Dizzy Dennis! Humph!

WD 0.0.50 As I rose to take a break from the hard graft of updating the Friday post, I noticed some guilt-panging signs of nocturnal-nibbling on the recliner cover! Crumbs,  but blown if I can work out what they were. Possibly Cheeslets, or maybe the puff-pastry fingers? Contrite Mode Adopted!

6Sat02aWhen I got back to the computer, I checked the Emails. One from the Sherringham Park Medical Practise arrived, about the Warfarin blood test results.

They added at the bottom: ‘Your next INR is due 26.09.2019. You do not have to attend the surgery as we have arranged community phlebotomy for you.’

Well, well, see? They can communicate sometimes!

I got the updating finished at last and sent it off. Having several more HELPSOAO wee-wees. Then visited the WordPress Reader section. Not a lot on today, but this is not unusual for a weekend. Some people have a family-life to pursue. Jealousy-Mode-Adopted! Haha!

WD 0.0.50 I went to make another brew and had to have another wee-wee. This time it caught me out again, with it being an LRWS (Long-Reluctant-Weak-Sprinkly) variety. That needed a lot of cleaning and antisepticalisationing! Oofta!

I got the graphics done for this blog, then the template and made a start on this diary. It was getting late on now, and I thought about getting out for a hobble. But, I realised that many more graphics and templates needed doing in advance. And decided to catch-up on the TFZer Facebooking first. I enjoyed that!

Realising I had not done the daily Pinterest postings, I got them done next.

I made the Morrison order up next. Arranged for it to be delivered next Wednesday 25th September. My EQ told me that this Wednesday will be, so different, unique or my final one! Gerroff!

Then, off to make a  fresh mug of Glengettie Gold. While waiting for the kettle to boil, I stood blankly staring out of the thick-framed, filthy, can’t be reached to clean new windows.

6Sat03WD 0.0.50 After a while, I realised that the birds were all over the skyline and zooming around the flats. Here was my chance to fetch the camera, to try to get a decent photo of them for the first time ever. It was not to be! I’m afraid! When I returned with the Canon, they had all disappeared! Grumph and Spittlegloblets!

WD 0.0.50 Turning to take the camera and mug of tea into the imitation of Steptoe & Son’s front room, And as Dizzy Dennis gave me sudden pasting, I spilt the tea on the floor, but retained my grip of the mug, at least! The spinning feeling went on that long, I considered pressing the alarm wristlet, for fear of it being something else, such as another Stroke. Especially as an instant headache affected me then. The problem, under the forehead, above the eyes still remains with me an hour later! But the dizzies have gone, so things will be okay methinks.

WD 0.0.50A I had a task-and-a-half in cleaning up the tea! The damned mop broke into two as I was using it. Thus the bucket of flash dosed water was tipped over! I have now got wet slippers and jammy-bottoms to wash. At least I kept my balance. I’m sure I’m going bonkers, cause I laughed at myself as I lunged at the draining board to stay upright! I actually thought it was funny through the pain! Help! Hehehe!

3Wed04I’m getting a smidge nervous of these new, hit me-like-a-ton-of-bricks, collapsing and giddy-making, light-headed, attacks, and hope that the appointment with the Falls Team, takes less than the average of up to 14 weeks. I found this out yesterday when I looked it up to find out where the Falls Team are located on the web. My nowadays stumbling block, ‘mathematics’ prevent me from working out what the average really is, with the information I found. Up to and For 9/10 patients threw me in a tizzy trying work it out. I can’t believe that at Tesco, I used to cash up for eight tills, and work out the Green Shield Stamps issued, as well, every day! Without any problems! Sad innit? Still, according to my EQ, things will become either clearer or non-existent next Wednesday! I can’t wait to find out what’s gonna go off! Hahaha! Of course, I’ll forget all about this by then!

So, a long time later, after I’d got things sorted again, I went back on the computer to make some graphics up. Four hours later, and I’d managed to do some page headers in advance. But was shattered and all in mentally, drained.

So, I got some fodder prepped. Baked seasoned beans, frankfurters and sourdough bread. If can get me head down afterwards and wake up again, I can work on some ‘Thoughts’ and get some templates done… He says more in vain hope than expectancy. Old Fool!

6Sat03aThe nosh was wonderfully tasty. No ageusia today! The chicken franks I got from the Ozan Store, were almost ambrosial. Despite my reading the ingredients on the wrapper! Hehe! Mechanically Separated Poultry Meat (40% Turkey, 22% Chicken), Chicken Fat with Skin, Water, Potato Starch, Salt, Antioxidant: E450, E315, Vegetable Powder (Beetroot), Dextrose, Flavour Enhancer: E621, Spices, Preservative: E250, Beefprotein, Spice Extracts, and Smoke! The sourdough baguette, soaked up the baked curried beans, and a Flavour-Rating of 8/10 given for this one.

I ate it all up! Then got the washing done. Settled in the rickety recliner, determined to get some head-down time. It didn’t happen. I la stewing in my thoughts for around five hours before eventually nodding off, so very late! Grumph!

Inchcock – Wed 12th Dec 2018: Nocturnal Nibbling Guilt. Wiring work was done. Graphics created. Dizzy Dennis caused me a tumble

WD 51.0.0 023:00hrs: I woke up, bestraddled over, around and hanging half-off-on of the £300 second-hand rickety, rusty recliner. With conscience-wracking, incriminating, nocturnal nibbling evidence all around me! I’d been at some jelly-babies, the proof being is as I found one in the fold of my stomach as I first attempted to move. This sweet was partially covered in crumbs that looked suspiciously like being from salted biscuit thins to me.

I painfully recovered my wandered-off of its own accord left leg from where it was hanging over the recliner arm and dangling above the division of the easy-chair. This is not the most puzzling part though; How the hell did I physically get the limb into that position in the first place? That is the real mystery!

The next dilemma came, when, as I attempted to rise up out of the recliner, I found that I had one slipper on, which of course would not be on while I got my head down. Why?

My spotting the Scottish Shorties biscuit crumbs on the recliner and carpet did not surprise me, not after my earlier discoveries. What a Zhlub! I had a cleaning up session, but managed without any toe-stubbings, losing, dropping banging into anything. Luckily, Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun were being kind to me and leaving me alone so far.

I got the medications taken and did the Health Checks.

3Wed001a

Sys was higher, and the Dia went down? I’m not sure if this is bad or not, but it didn’t seem right to me? For some reason, despite my naughtiness in the nocturnalness, the weight had gone down the tiniest bit. I wondered if I had been noctambulations last night? I cannot remember eating or moving about, or any somnambulism.

3Wed01aAh, it isn’t raining this morning either.

I took this picture from the unwanted new kitchen with the light, and view-blocking thick plastic frames and more glass to clean than before and rain dribbles in when you open them, window.

As I got the computer on to update the Tuesday post, guess what happened… a shock I know. (Sarcastic Mode Adopted!)

3Wed04a

This wee’d me off.

3Wed03So I went and made a brew and got the mushrooms with some sliced turnips in the crock-pot on a low setting. I added just a drop of balsamic vinegar, light soy sauce and a dash of lemon juice. I hope to be able to eat whatever it is I end up cooking with the meal. The last two meals, I threw more away than I ate. Could this be a cause of my nocturnal nibbling? (Note the search for an excuse or justification there? Hehe!)

The Virgin Media was still playing up, so I responded to my early-warnings and went off to utilize the Porcelain Throne. By gum, that was a good session, almost like a normal one, I almost enjoyed it!

Back to the computer and finished off the updating and got it sent off to WordPress. Liberty Global-Virgin Media Internet was no longer cutting out, but it was going a tad slow.

I went on the WP Reader and replied and made some comments on others blogs.

On to the TFZer Facebook.

Then to get some page top headers for the Inchcock Today’s sorted. I’ve only got two left to use.

WD 51.0.0 Popped into the kitchen found I had left the hot tap (faucet) running. Without hot water now for around eight-hours! Grumph and Oy Vey!

I got a few graphics done, but need many more before I can make a start on the drafts.

Doing reasonably well now… Hello, the doorbell chimeth.

It’s the bloke to do the drilling setting and prep work for the new Intercom set-up. So much for asking for my choice of 08:00 to 10:00hrs for the job to be done (1245hrs  now). He’s got to keep the door open while he does it. Blooming cold with the wind coming in. Hey-ho, its got to be done.

I did an Asda (Walmart) order for tomorrow. Last few pressies of the consumable kind, some mini wines for Si… I’d better not say, they might read this. Hehe! Vinegar, veg, fruit and some cream cakes as extra treats for the gals.

He’s started now with his drilling. Nice chap.

I checked the seasoned mushrooms and turnips, they are looking good. But with having to wait until the gentleman finished his tasks until I can eat and then get my head down, a little later than usual.

Back to getting the graphics done on CorelDraw and Paint.

Enough, I’m worn out now, poor old thing.

Got the nosh sorted. 3Wed05

Texas BBQ sausages, mushrooms turnips, and tomatoes.

I managed to eat nearly all of it tonight. So I hope this shows the return on my appetite! Poetry was sneaking in there, I see! Hehe!

The chap finished his work and shot off to do another flat. I took these photographicalisations of the work done in the corridor.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I think the cabling will be covered mayhaps by the coving will eventually go along the ceiling -wall corners to hide the Fire Sprinklers later in the new year.

Got the pots washed.

WPA02 While doing them, Dizzy Dennis attacked – and oh boy, it was a nasty one that left me on the floor. This rarely happens, in fact, it’s many months since this happened. I cannot recall falling over at all, just being there and trying to get back up.

On the bright side, apart from a little bump on the head, I was feeling okay almost immediately I came round out of the confusion. I later found a bruise on the elbow, but it wasn’t a painful one. Best of all, with the blood being so thin at the moment, I did not cut myself anywhere. A silver-lining in everything if you search long enough.

Being the hard, battling, robust and resilient chap I am, this incident did not bother me in the slightest. Fib-telling Mode Adopted! Hehe!

The hot water was back on now, but it was too late for me to have an ablutions session, I felt so tired-out.

When I got settled into the £300 second-hand 1982 model rachitic, rattletrap recliner, Dizzy Dennis visited again. No chance of me falling over this time, Hehe! Mind you, I could have fallen out of or off of the £300 second-hand 1982 model rachitic, rattletrap recliner. Haha! But didn’t, and Dennis’s attack was only a mild one this time.

AS I sat there considering if I ought to watch a DVD, the TV or read a book… Zzz!

Inchcock – Tue 11th Dec 2018: Woke with my brain in overdrive: but it soon readopted its usual lethargic, puzzled, sluggish, frazzled, enfeebled mode.

Willmott-Dixon, new Supervisor keeps an eye out. Hehe!

Tuesday 11th December 2018

Uzbec: 2018 yil 11 Dekabr Seshanba Kuni

00:50hrs: I was dreaming something about semi-transparent alien Traffic Wardens on Huntingdon Street in Nottingham, as I sprang into life. Boy, was the brain going at it again? The Brexit deal, the starving people of the planet. How did France get away with stealing the World Cup from Croatia? The end of the world. My hearing aids, playing up. The Weevils… so many irrelevancies and obiter dicta were bounding about in my head. I felt as though I spent hours considering and pondering over so many subjects, without any conclusions of course. A lot of things I could not even understand, describe, relate to or digest. Most of which I could do nothing about, anyway. I was mentally exhausted by the time things had calmed down in the bone-dome.

I really must tell the nurse about these early and getting more frequent morning spells of mind cogitabund departures from mind control. I can live the odd one, but they seem to be increasing weekly now.

Anyway, when I got back into semi-control of things, I realised only a few minutes had passed since I awoke?

Looking at my new-to-me £2 second-hand watch with its £10 new strap for the time. I noticed the papules on the left hand, were seemingly grown lighter and some of them may have disappeared altogether? Int life fun! Hehe!

2Tue03

I got my heavy, cumbrous midriff from the £300 pound rusty, rickety recliner, and made my way to the wet room for an SSWW. (Short-Sharp-Wee-Wee). I found only one dead Weevil in there this morning? Were they really on the decline at last? I checked the spare room and could see none at all! I still gave the places a spray of the Santex Bug Killer, part, out of habit, and partly to be on the safe side. These illegal alien-immigrants had fooled me before. I must find out where the other chap with a new infestation lives and see how he is going with his attackers.

Warfarin Blood Test this morning. Unfortunately at 10:20hrs. Which means I’ll be too shattered to do much by the time I get back to the flat. Not getting any cleaning up done lately. Mind you, the situation is eased with the thought that I have got electricians calling to do prep-work for the installation of Video Door entry Intercom this month. Another thing, I have to Email them to arrange a day for this job. I can opt for 8am to 12pm or afternoon 12pm to 4pm the letter says. They will do the fitting in January.  Then the prep work for the sprinkler system has to be done, then the fitting of that. Then the new Fire alarm, same thing, two visits.

Can you imagine the mess they are going to make? No point in cleaning up I don’t think. I’ll have to pay someone to redecorate after they have all done, get new carpets as well after the plasterer destroyed my new carpeting. When I tried to Email him, Nick Jone, Project Liaison Officer, it told me he is not in his office? I’ll ask Warden Deana or Julie if they might ring them for me. IF, I remember to.

I got the Health Checks sorted.

2Tue052Tue02fTook the medications and got the creams ready to use later when I get the ablutions done.

Got the computer on and updated yesterdays post. Eventually getting it finished and sent off to WordPress.

I got the nibbles into the bag for the nurses and chemist staff. I must remember to fetch my prescriptions too. Went on the WP reader section. Then made a start on creating this days diary.

2Tue0708:00hrs Ablutions tended to.

Spotted someone letting off steam? Hehe! So I took a photograph.

Down, out, and to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

2Tue08aObersturmführeress Warden Deana and Sturmbannführeress Warden Julie were both working in their mini-office.

I got a smile from them both when I cracked a joke.

I asked if they would call for me, about the electrical prep work being done for the new intercom being set-up, as when I tried the Email address given, Google told me there was no such address? Deana said someone else had had the same problem, and when they rang for her, the phone was not answered. She will try later.

Glad to see that the stun-gun cabinet was locked. Only joking! Hahaha!

Got on the crossword book. Slowly, other residents arrived, and a few chinwags and laughs were enjoyed. Nibbles handed out in the form of chocolate coins.

2Tue10Out to the bus stop. Caught the L9 down to Mansfield Road, and hobbled along towards Carrington to the surgery.

It looked a tad bleak out there. But being late in the day (for me) the place seemed positively busy compared to my usual timing of around about 0615hrs for this journey.

2Tue10aWD128.0.0 Passing the library, this animal of a Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist belted by me from behind and made me jump a little. The Swine!

I plodded up and over the hill and down to the Sherrington Park Medical Practice.

WD128.0.0 As I walked through into the car park, a large looking black Porche utility type vehicle was reversing out, (which a sign tells drivers not to do!) He came within inches of hitting me and didn’t even see me as I sidestepped out of his path. But, I was in a good mood, so I didn’t get all uptight about it. I thought if I gave him a dirty look, that should suffice. But I’m sure he still didn’t even know I was there! Oy Vey!

I got in the surgery and logged on. Sat down with the crossword book. It was not long before the nurse came to call me in – Nurse Nichole!

We had a good chinwag, again thanks to the blood not being too keen on stopping it’s flow after she took the sample. I forgot all about the notes I had in my pocket with questions to ask her about my poorly-spell and the papsules. She does that to a man does Nurse Nichole with her distracting sweet smile. Bless her! Gave her Christmas pressies for her and Nurse Ann, thanked her and departed to the reception where I dropped off some nibbles for them on their desk.

Out and off to the Chemists to confirm the date of my next prescription pick-up. I know I asked them last week, but I’m blown if I can find where I wrote it down? Klutz!

Called in the Lidl shop and had a good wander around and nosey. I came out with Orange juice, sour worms, mature Stilton, Assam tea (I didn’t need this, but they only had one box left, so I took it), tomatoes and Scottish Morning Rolls.

2Tue11I paid at the self-serve tills without any bother and out to catch a bus back to Sherwood.

The sun kept trying to come out now.

At the bus stop over the road, where a few other Winwood Heights residents.

Had a little chinwag with them, while we waited for the arrival of the L9 bus.

Up to the flats, I walked back with Doreen, another natter enjoyed.

2Tue11aGot in the flat, had an SSWW, did the Health Checks and got the nosh on the go.

I thought that this looked so appealing as well.

WD128.0.0 It did not go down very well at all. The fodder seemed okay, but it tasted all wrong to me, and I don’t know why? Only the smoked ham was eaten completely, every other part of the meal was chewed at and rejected even the Scottish rolls and seasoned potatoes. Was something amiss here with my palate or innards? Not eating my meals has happened twice in a row now? Nebbish!

I wrapped up the uneaten bulk of the food and bagged it in the waste bin. Washed the cutlery, plate, and tray. It will be interesting to see if I have lost any weight in the morning.

I sat down on the £300 second-hand recliner to watch a DVD I bought cheaply last week. It was terrible. Oceans 8 it was called. I could not hear what was being muttered at high speed, and as for following the plot, it would have been easier to learn how to become a brain surgeon on a one-hour internet course! I gave up.

Got the Health Checks done, an SSWW and washed.

Went to make a mug of tea.

Suddenly, as I glanced out of the unwanted new window with the extra thick plastic frames, more panes of glass to clean and drip over everywhere when its raining and you open them, and have a light and view-blocking quality to them… What was I typing… Hehehe!

2Tue11c

Ah, yes, gorrit! I went into a semi-glazed phantasmagoria-like mind-mode. I have no recollection of what yonderly mind-meandering went on in my head – but I know I took this photograph so it must have meant something at the time. Or not?

Next thing I can recall is waking up, straggled over the £300 second-hand rickety, rusty recliner, with nocturnal nibbling evidence all around me!

Oh, dearie me!

Inchcock – Tuesday 9th October 2018: Odd sort of day, shame I missed the last bit of it… Hehe!

Tuesday 9th October 2018

Portuguese: Terça-Feira, 9 de Outubro de 2018

2Tue001Having been up since 2130hrs, like yesterday, I was all confused. I had a few wee-wee’s while I started on updating the Monday Post.

The sky from the unwanted, view-blocking, light-eliminating new kitchen window, looked almost foreboding.

Had to go to the Porcelain Throne and sort-put best I could the fungal lesion sanguineness.

2Tue02fI found that the legs were still full of fluid, this time, with the left one being bigger, or fuller than the right one. The mystery growth on the lower right leg remains a conundrum as to what it is from! I think another one might be growing on the right leg, to keep it company? Haha!

I seem to have hairy knees? I’ve not noticed that before. Hehe!

Did the Health Checks.

2Tue03

0125hrs: Got the blog for Monday finished and posted off.

I went to make a brew of tea. I took the morning medications.

I had a hunt around for any Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles and found only dead ones. Well, until later when I discovered and eliminated a few live ones from the spare room.

0220hrs: Back to the computer. Had a read of WP Reader section. Then onto the TFZer Facebooking and adding to the photo albums.

It took me until 0438hrs – the Facebook or internet was that slow. Turned it all off and rebooted. Then tried to reply to some Facebook comments. Another two hours spent on Facebooking!

I had the back-stabbing-pains getting worse, so I got up and had a walk about for a bit – it did no good of course. Haha!

On my hobble around, I found eight letters stuck in the letterbox. Seven were junk mail, and one from Nottingham City Homes. A two-sided message. An invitation to a meeting to view the design ideas for the new Winwood Centre, the conference for next Tuesday at 1400hrs>1600hrs on Tuesday 23rd October.

  • Ground Floor: Large social area with tea point and kitchen: Dining tables and chairs, informal seating area. Possible partitions.
  • First Floor: Craft Activity Room, IT points. Storage areas. Judging by all the empty spirit and beer bottle in the recycling bin, I think that Craft Beers would entice most tenants to have a go. Hehehe! Only joking.
  • Second Floor: TV lounge, chairs, and a sofa. That would be somewhere different for me to fall asleep? Haha!
  • Third Floor: Games Room. Snooker, table tennis or air hockey. Board games and a dart board. The mind shudders!
  • Fourth Floor: Sun Room. Retro feel, CD’s MP3’s (Whatever they are?), opening out onto a roof terrace.

2Tue04

By gum, they are going to a lot of expense and effort for us all. Lucky residents we are!

I must remember to get to see Jenny and ask her which weekday would be best for me to take up her kind offer to let me take some photographs of the new build before it is completed, from her kitchen and lounge windows.

I went on CorelDraw to prepare some more TFZer graphics. I managed to get three done before it was time to tend to the ablutions and medicationing.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Got the shaving, showering, creaming, lotioning, and refreshing all done.

2Tue05

Took three shots from the window to show the morning to you all. Left, ahead and right.

I popped up to see Roy and his better half, but no answer.

2Tue06Treat Jenny and Frank on the way out. Great people.

As I left the flats, this beast of a plant wagon approached.

Hehehe!

Plant Perambulator Paulius Plonk-Brewer (Hyphenated) and Eric Incharge were manipulating the vehicle.

Along to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed, Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, shed. I was first in, but the place soon filled up: Cindy, Elizabeth, Lynne, Welsh William and Big John from the flat above plus many others. I harkened to the chatter.

2Tue07When it was time, we all went out to the bus stop. The City bound bus arrived first, and Big John and I got on it. I dropped off at Woodborough top Plains Road junction and wobbled along to the Aldi Store.

Where I spent and got a little more than I needed to. Tsk, Klutz!

Nibbles for the Christmas ‘do’ meeting. Melton 2Tue07bMowbray pork pie, cheese twists, pork shoulder steaks, mini-potatoes, vine tomatoes, hoisin pork ribs, and some brown sandwich thins.

Oh, and some boxes of two cream cakes on offer. One for me, one of Jenny and one for Cyndy. Guilt Mode Adopted!

I decided to get the bus back instead of walking, then I could get to the hospital quicker.

2Tue08aBack at the flats, I used the safety passage mad up from fence thingies. Naturally, Big John walked bravely on the road section. Oh, I am good! Haha!

Got in the flat and went up to Cyndy’s and gave Eric the nibbles, then to Jennies for the same reason. I asked if Jenny could let me know when was best for me to call to use her windows for the photographicalisationing of the new block. Left the cakes and back to the flat.

WD0.51.102 Then I realised it was tomorrow, not today for the hospital. What a Shlemiel! I seem to have got myself in a right muddle appointment-wise.

2Tue26Did the Health Checks.

So I got the meal on.

Hoisin pork ribs, green beans, tomatoes, mini-potatoes and chip sticks. Mandarin yoghourt and an apple.

The naughty but nice jam & cream doughnuts went down too well. Hehe! Flavour Rating: 9.1/10.

I must have nodded off after eating this meal.

Cause I woke up around midnight with the plate and things still on the tray on the next chair, and positive signs of nocturnal nibbling spread over my stomach (Crumbs!)

What happened on the 5 hours before this, is a mystery. But I either had a somnambulant episode, or woke up to gather the fodder to nibble… or, I don’t know. Humph!

TTFN.

Inchcock Today: Sunday 17th June 2018 – Broke my spectacles – Nigel Neuralgia and Duodenal Donald kept me company throughout the day… Tsk!

ZZZ16f

Sunday 17th June 2018

Welsh: Dydd Sul 17 Mehefin 2018

0355hrs: Whoosie3W001a Immediately on my expergefaction, I noted that everything in my immediate vicinity was dishevelled or messy, like it had been rummaged through, and tossed aside?

Whoosie3W001a I felt, and almost heard the borborygmus rumblings, and the innards churned.

Whoosie3W001a The pain from the sharp-stabbing otalgia in the right earhole was cruel and painful.

Whoosie3W001a I felt confused as I investigated around me visually:

  • The quilt was on the floor under my feet, that was on the front Ottoman.
  • A nibble pot with the lid off had toppled to the floor during the night and rolled across the carpet, spilling its contents all over.
  • Several empty cheese Curl packets were in the waste bin.
  • I could see that one slipper was over in the corner near the balcony window, showing from under the curtains?
  • The pencil and notepad were squashed between my over-ample belly handles and the £300 second-hand recliner arm.
  • Several screwed up kitchen towels scattered around.
  • I could not locate my spectacles or hearing aids.
  • The picker-up stick was actually half on my knee, with the other end having an empty biscuit packet hanging on it. Crumbs all over the place

I had an inspirational thought (Snigger!): This is not good! Haha!

The thoughts and self-questioning, analysis solution seeking flowed: However did this nebech, get himself in such a pickle? How? Why and what had caused these noctambulistic activities What for? Whatever had I been doing? Why can I not recall any actions that may have been the cause of the damage? What was to blame for my apparent noctambulism?

Finally, I decided I will have to escape from the £300 second-hand recliner and get the place sorted out.

7Sun01 As I stood up, on the crumpled quilt at my feet – Crunch!

Whoosie3W001a I’d found my spectacles.. and crushed them underfoot on the quilt! Bent the frames and out popped both of the lenses. Grumble, moan in annoyance at my stupidity, ineptitude, and the futility of my even trying to adjust my impotence of mind control.

I didn’t want to cry, but the self-loathing/flagellation and disgust showed its head.

I spent ages clearing things up. Ending up with an earache, Anne Gyna, Reflux Roger, borborygmus agony and Duodenal Donald all enjoying themselves at progressing my pain levels. Tsk!

I got the black bags of rubbish filled, I have three already to go to the chute, but it is too early yet, because of the noise disturbing other tenants as they travel down the chute.

I tended to the Health Checks. Recorded and updated the results on Excel. Thanks to my cyber friend Tim helping me out with the formulas.

7Sun02

7Sun4This morning’s HC results were almost exactly the same as yesterday’s were. Not bad at all I thought.

Made a brew and took this photograph, imbibed the medications and took an extra Codeine 30g, to try and counter the pains from Duodenal Donald and the worst of them all at the moment, the earache! They are positively affecting my concentration today.

As I was making a start on updating the Saturday Diary, I was forced to redirect my attention to the Porcelain Throne. Not an easy evacuation I’m afraid. It seems things have gone from being under the control of Trotsky Terence for a week or more, to find that Diahorrea Duncan was not taking over. A fair bit of bleeding to clean-up. The passing was accompanied by a few ‘Oohs’ ‘Arghs’ and ‘Jykuglamations’ in encouragement for something to move. Hahaha! Being sat there for such a long time, the mind began to wander off on its own course fretting and considering various incidents and hopes. But it kept returning to the job at hand, the much awaited painful evacuation, and the stabbing pains from the allodynia on my right side. These are really painful and persistent at the moment, I wonder what has caused this to come on so suddenly? It feels to me that it is coming from the otitis media part of the auditory meatus. None stop it is now, piercing stabbing pains. It is almost as bad as Duodenal Donald’s botherations, but then again it is something of a new ailment to me. Letters of sympathy and cuddles will be gladly accepted. I thank you. Hehehe!

I got back to updating the Sat post. Using my old glasses, of course, was a bit of a strain. Got it finished off and posted.

Made a start on this blog.  Got as far as this, and 7Sun07the earache seemed to be getting worse. I went to the wet room to try putting some Phorpain gel on the area.

Whoosie3W001a Found that the neck, jaw, and chin had reddened a smidge and the full cheek had swollen up. The nearer to the actual tab-hole was the only tender to touch area. Oh dear! Guess it might be something else other than an earache? This bothered me a little. So I looked it up on the internet. I think it is, or might be Trigeminal Neuralgia. Because all the symptoms on the three sites I visited, match those I have. A definite must, if it stays with me, that is, for me to make an appointment to see the Doctor on Monday. Too many simultaneously unpleasant ailments to cope with at the moment, this one I can do well without. Dare not take any more extra painkillers, but I may be forced to, in an effort to ease off these stagging electric-shock-like pains. It didn’t work!

I remembered I had not made up a food delivery for next week, so I did one while I thought of it. Accompanied by some tuneful drilling from the flat above. With card changes since my last Iceland order, finding the details required, etc., it took me yonks to get this done. I’m not using Morrisons this week, because of all the silly substitutions they are making recently.

The neuralgia (If indeed it is this ailment) in constant attention, like a sadistic natured companion desperately in need of inflicting unremitting excruciating agony, and getting satisfaction from it!

Made a mug of tea and decided to try the Phorpain gel on the cheek and neck, out of desperation. Poor old Bish Mazal, shlimazel!

Tried to go on Facebook again. It has not been remarkably stable since the last Windows updates came in. Just got going and Sister Jane Rang for a chinwag. But it hard to understand her on her mobile, very tinny and echoey. But, it might be the neuralgia that is making my hearing change? Anyroad, we had a good natter. I must phone JAne back in the morning if the faceache has got better and do not go to the drop-in centre after-all. Then Pete can call to see me.

7Sun07aDid the next week medicine pots up, and made a mug of tea.

Back to updating this post.

Whoosie3W001a The Virgin Internet went down. Not for long, but long enough to lose the settings on WordPress again.

Oy Vey!

Got a graphic done for the TFZer site, and posted it off. Hope Nancy and the others like it.

2Use01

7Sun38Got the fodder served-up.

Grand it was, too.

8.8/10, Enjoyment Rated.

Tried to watch some of the football, but the teams were of no interest to me, and concentration was impossible with Duodenal Donald and Nigel Neuralgia both pestering me persistently.

Many clangs, clumps, thuds and knocks from the flat above kept me company. He’d started late today. Nice break earlier.

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 21st February 2018

Wednesday 21st February 2018

Haitian Creole: Mèkredi 21 Fevriye 2018

0145hrs: I woke up irritated with myself, for not being able to recall any details of the dream-filled night. Just feelings of them all being of frustrations and humiliations?

As lay there on the £300 second-hand recliner, pondering on whether I should get up or not, the rumbling and grumbling from the innards encouraged me to exit the chair immediately and make my way to the Porcelain Throne post haste.

Getting out of the recliner, I trod on a cheese curl, from the nocturnal nibbling, making a jolly right mess to clean up.

In a rush to get to the wet room, I stubbed my toe on the Ottoman.

I got in, panicky, thinking I might not make it in time, I whipped off the Protection Pants, and the blood sprayed all over the place from my breaking the dried blood from Inchies Lesion. The floor, my jammies and feet, the sink, the bowl, the toilet rolls and medications, the wall, all got sprayed. Oh, I was in a right pickle!

Which got even worse, when I didn’t make it in time! Feeling frustrated, irritated and embarrassed. The evacuation was Trotsky affected too.

By the time I had cleaned everything up, it was 0240hrs! Antisepticated, all areas, mopped up, cleaned the wall, floor, me and new PPs adorned. In a way, I was glad that these Whoopsies had occurred close to each other and early in the day, and foolishly thought things would undoubtedly improve. What a plonka!

To the main room, and cleared up the crushed cheesy curl mess.

Well pleased with myself, with my getting things sorted and cleaned up. I took this photo of me in the front room waving to you all in the reflection of the window, with the outside view, scaffolding, lights etcetera as a backdrop; before going to the kitchen to do the Health Checks and take the medications.

The sphygmomanometer again refused to work several times before it did so.

A slight rise in febrility and the Sys was still just a little low. But none of the readings perplexed me.

All the time lost with the cleaning up from the Whoopsiedangleplops bothered me though. This meant less time to get these diaries, WordPress Reading and Facebooking done before I had to get to the surgery for the Harold Haemorrhoids examination and Warfarin blood test done. Then I realised the appointments started at 1020hrs, not the usual 0800hrs, so panic over.

I made a grand tasting drink of Extra Strong English Breakfast tea, in the new second-hand mug.

I love this mug, cause it is cumbersome but heavy, so less chance of knocking it over when I get the shakes, the handle is easy to use, and I think it keeps the brew hotter for longer.

Took it with me to the computer, and started to update the Tuesday post and get it finished and posted on on WordPress.

Checked the emails and comments via Gmail. Then made a start on this diary.

Went to the WordPress Reader. Of course, this meant closing Firefox and opening Chrome, cause Firefox will not let me access the reader on WordPress for some reason, and then back to Firefox, because Chrome will not let me save any work on WordPress! I blame Bill Gates! Hehe!

Went on to Facebooking next.

Had to get the ablutions and medicationalisationing done them. Got them done with time to spare. So I sorted the three bags of waste out and took them to the refuse chute on the way out.

Got in the lift and was greeted with dried mud on the floor. I hadn’t noticed that yesterday.

I poddled to the Obergruppenfurhresses Cabin. Meeting Mary from the 6th floor en route and we had a little natter as we plodded along.

I popped into the hut to inform either Warden Julie and or Deana that I had put their Thursday nibbles (Sourdough bread and bottle of water) in the fridge for them yesterday, earlier than usual. But neither was present or available. There were some blokes from the heater makers getting ready to lie to anyone who attended and tell them how reliable and cheap to run they were. Tsk! Welsh William, Roy and two unknown to me tenants as well.

I departed and set off on my hobble into Sherwood, then Carrington to the surgery for my blood test and Harold Haemorrhoid examination.

Only a little walk for me today. The red line is where I caught the bus back into Sherwood. The blue lines indicate the walk from the flats to Sherwood, then to Carrington for the medicationalisationing. Hehehe!

Another gloomy day looked to be in the offing as I got part way down the Winchester Street Hill.

I appreciated how it seemed so quiet. When a dirty-great lorry passed, and the driver jammed his vehicles anchors on, and I didn’t hear him.

I’d forgot to put the Hearing Aids in again! Sad really!

A little further down the hill, I saw the gates that I think come out at the end of the secret pathway from opposite the apartments. I wish I could find out for sure somehow.

I have inquired of the other tenants who had lived there longer than me, but they didn’t know the path existed at all.

Got onto Mansfield Road and turned left up to the incline.

Had a nosey come window shopping at a few stores en route.

Up to the crest and over the hill. The plates of meat were stinging.

Where amazingly, I remembered to look for the flowers in a garden that I promised Orbb, a friend on the internet, I’d take a photo of them if they were out.

But they were not in bloom. Although, buds were forming on the bush already.

The ailments were all being kind to me.

Onwards and down to the surgery. Where I made an unfortunate discovery. Nurse Nicole will no longer be working anymore at this surgery! My mood changed to one of instant depression!

I booked myself in and sat down, got the crossword book out, but could not concentrate properly. The appointment time came and went. Then the nurse consulted the reception staff, who had to call me several times before I heard them. The new nurse was not in a happy mood at all, her running behind and me forgetting the hearing aids was terrible enough. When she heard I’d also forgotten the Anticoagulation Clinic form that I should fill in each week as well… I was given the “You old prat’ sneer and treatment and was told off several times. She reminded me not to forget things next week, in no uncertain terms. Oh, dearie me! I felt like I’d been given a threnody. Tsk!

I departed and joined the waiting area for Harold’s problems to be sorted. Then found out it was not this week. I did feel a right fool again!

Feeling elegiac, and dejectedly melancholy, I left the nibbles on the desk for the receptionists and departed.

I was feeling so low that it didn’t bother me; this car being parked on the pavement. I crossed the road and caught a bus back into Sherwood. Dolorous, and annoyed with my self.

Off the bus and morosely over the crossing and limped up over the hill and down to the Woodthorpe Grange Park gates.

Up the footpath. Hardly any dogs or people about today. I hobbled, still depressed with how things had gone, and to the top and turned right where the Tree Copse was.

The Copse cheered me a little, as I noticed some greenery coming through.

I pressed on and down the muddy gravel pathway, to the entrance to the flats.

I didn’t see a soul anywhere. No workers, no wardens, no residents.

Got in the apartment and took a wee-wee. Did the Health Checks, took the medicines and pain gelled the tender areas.

I cheered a bit more when I remembered I had the beef ready meal and some chips to have for the nosh later.

Got the computer going and updated this rubbish to here.

Then did the Morrison order for next Thursday, St David’s Day.

Health Checks and medical needs tended to.

Not the best of days for me.

But I did enjoy the Asda ready made Minced Beef Hotpot. Despite the meal being so unhealthy, according to the intake listing showing three in red! The annoying thing about it was they were on offer at 3 for £6.

Which means I have to eat all three before they go out of date!

But, the taste was delicious. I’ll have to eat more healthy noshes in between having these I suppose? Tsk!

I had a rinse and removed the plaster that the frightening surgery nurse had applied after taking the blood from the arm. I’ve never had such a bruise after a blood test before!

Still, no pain with it at all.

I washed the pots and got settled to watch some more ‘New Tricks’ DVD episodes. Stayed awake for both of them, then turned to the TV to watch ‘Law & Order’. First set of commercials and I was off into the land of nod!

Inchcock Today – Saturday 3rd February 2018: Somnambulism Suspected

Saturday 3rd February 2018

Somali: Sabti 3 February 2018

1Mon02 0025hrs: Oh dearie me! I stirred into a sort of semi-life, to find signs of nocturnal nibbling all around me! Why can’t I remember eating this rubbish? How did it get to the recliner Ottoman? Had I been in a noctambulation mode? Help!

A pot of mixed chocolate nuts, three, yes, three empty cheesy curl packets, an empty 1lt bottle of lemon and lime spring water, the wrapper from a bar of chocolate and the accompanying crumbs that needed cleaning up! But, a visit to the Porcelain Throne was more urgency at this stage of my expergefaction. Out of the £300 second-hand recliner and limped to the wet room. Hippy Hilda showing signs of displeasure in her joint.

A Throne session of messiness. Cleaned things up and back to clean up the overnight nibbling debris.

Attended to the Health Checks.

6Sat001

6Sat03Made a brew and took the medications.

I thought the readings were excellent this morning, looking good.

Got the computer started and updated the Friday post. With all the photographs and notes to refer to, this took me over two hours.

The tea went cold, and I went to make another replacement one.

1Mon02 Of course, this involved the now regular and expected stubbing of my toe against the Ottoman.

6Sat04I used the new camera while in the kitchen, to try and take a panorama shot of the morning skyline.

But the hands and fingers would not let me. I tried several times but just could not hold the camera steady enough. I even tried using the tripod to try and control things better; without any luck at all.

So I settled for a standard picture. Sad innit! Tsk!

0330hrs: By then, the second mug of tea had gone cold. Made a third and returned to the computer and started this post off.

Then went on WordPress Reader.

Checked Emails, then Comments. Lots of advice and help was on there today.

0450hrs: Made yet another mug of tea, then onto Facebooking. I’ve got well behind on it lately.

On to CorelDraw and made a graphic for the TFZers site. This one took ages to do, I’m going to use asking for a suitable title to type in the centre of it. For a bit of fun.

I got it finished at 0730hrs. Phew! Posted it off.

Went to make another mug of tea.

Worked on a new ode for a few hours, but concentration was minimal, and I gave up on it.

Unexpected blank period, no Dizzy Dennis though, just tired, unaware of surroundings and drained.

Got the nosh sorted early while I could.

I gobble-up all of it, a big plateful too!

All I was capable of doing after washing the pots was to sit down and try to reclaim some sort of balance of the mind. The most disturbing ‘Blank’ period for a long time.

Inchcock Today – Friday 10th November 2017: A pernickety day. Humph!

Oh, sorry, there are three interloper friends and me in it!

Friday 10th November 2017

Hmong: Hnub Friday 10 Kaum Ib Hlis 2017

0055hrs: Stirred into imitation life. Pandiculated and got complaints from Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna for my efforts.

Pondered on what bits I could recall of the dream I had been having. I was lost in a three-storied pantagruelian abandoned factory… running up decaying stairways, falling through holes without harming myself, searching seemingly without knowing what I was trying to find? And I wore pyjamas and my old fishing wellingtons from 1970!

Slowly, the rumbling innards got through to my brain, as I was disentangling my flabby body-mass from the £300 second-hand recliner, I noticed many signs of Nocturnal Nibblings! Two empty mini-cheese packets, biscuit crumbs and two chocolate peanuts which had welded themselves between the folds in my horrendously wobbly belly. Tsk! And off to the Porcelain Throne session. Messy enough for me to take another ADRC capsule afterwards with the morning medications. Cleaned up, and into the kitchen to do the Health Checks and take the medicines. Seems like a lot of variations this week. Ups and downs, like.

Made a mug of tea and got the computer on.

Got the Thursday post finished and posted off.

Then started on this one, getting up to hear, when I could hear noises – I put in the hearing aids and walked about trying to identify the noise that sounds a bit like something being dropped or falling. Surely, no one would use the refuse chute at 0249hrs in the morning? It seemed to be coming from different sides of the building at the same time, repeatedly for five minutes or so, then stopped? I hoped that the scaffolding had not collapsed somewhere. The sounds seemed to be coming from internally. Still, they have finished now.

Caught up on Facebooking next.

The computer slowed to a crawl again. Turned everything off and rebooted.

Made and sent a TFZer photo-graphic off.

Then I went on to the WordPress reader. A lot of excellent thought provoking stuff today.

Onto CorelDraw. Made some graphics tops for the upcoming diaries. Spent hours on the other TFZer ones.

Got the ablutions done and all dressed up warmly. Made sure I had the Audio Clinic Book with me, umbrella, collapsible walking stick, camera, mobile phone, bus pass, bank card, crossword book, the right glasses on my head, the hearing aids in the lug-holes and empty jars for the recycling bin and set out to the bus stop. Dropped the jats in the brown bin. It looked to me like the workmen were taking down the scaffolding?

Down to the hut and dropped off some nibbles for the Obergefreiteress Wardens, and on to the bus stop. A lady (Annette I think) there, and she was giving everyone who arrived a Christmas Card, bless her. The Bestwood Bus came and went, and only Annette and I got on the City bound one.

Getting onto the bus Dizzy Dennis came on instantly, no usual few seconds warning this time.  The disequilibrium and giddiness only lasted a couple of minutes, but this left me feeling a little perturbed. Especially as strangers already on the bus, and the driver asked if I was alright and told me I went pale and white suddenly.

Annette gave some cards out to people who got onto the bus later!

Off the bus and through the Slab Square to the audio building. Only to find the yhad no Audiologists on site today?

Well, that annoyed me, after all the hassle of getting there. I gave the lady a sweet smile and said: “Ah-well, not to worry, I’ll call again later” Why I said this, I have no idea.

I went to Fletcher Gate and into the Pound World shop to see if I could find any of the screw-top storage tubs or chocolate nougat. I found neither, but came out a considerable amount of money spent!

They had some Tetley’s Extra Strong tea bags at 80 for £2, so I bought the last two boxed on the shelf. Some nibbles and sweets for raffle prizes. Treated me with two packets of misshaped chocolate brazils and chocolate almonds.

Out of the store, with much less money in my pocket, (Hehe!) and back through the Slab Square.

The Nottinghamians did not seem to have cheered up at all from yesterdays visit. A quietude of sorts seemed to hang in the air?

Across the square and up to the bus stop, the feet, well toes, really hurting now. Then this Nottingham Pavement Cyclist actually clipped my shoulder as he went by me and up Parliament Street. I got the camera out to record this one, the naughty boy! I could have taken dozens of photographs of the cyclists on the pavements today, there were that many of them.

Caught the bus and had a go at the crosswords en route. I only got three answers all the trip, Tsk!

A painful limp to the apartment entrance an found that much of the fencing had been removed.

But some new scaffolding had been erected creating a little maze for us to get through to gain entry.

The balconies seemed untouched as I photographed upwards.

They warned us that it is going to get very noisy and dusty when they start on them.

I was surprised to realise I did not require a wee-wee or the use of the Porcelain Throne when I got inside?

Health Checks and medications were taken. Planned the nosh. I had forgotten to turn on the potatoes in the Crock-Pot when I left, so got two cheesy potatoes in breadcrumbs with cheese ready made cakes and a few potato letters (Both long-term residents from the depths of the freezer) and got them in the oven. Added later, the cod balls in the batter. Put the baked beans in the saucepan. Sliced up two gone-rather-soft tomatoes, opened the tin of Smoked mackerel in BBQ sauce onto the plate.

While I kept an eye on things as it cooked, I got the purchases put away. Made a brew with the new Tetley Extra Strong tea bags. Not bad at all. Not as good as the Yorkshire, Twinings Strong English Breakfast or Thompsons, but still good.

Perused the TV magazine and found a lot of good stuff on for me to watch. London’s Burning, Pie in the Sky, Hetty Wainthrope Investigates, The A-Team, Heartbeat then the England v Germany match! A perfick viewing session. (I thought!)

I phoned Sister Jane, she rang back. She was in the cafeteria with her mates. She’s going to ring me in the morning.

Getting the food of the oven, and guess what? Accifauxpa! Humph!

A dab of antiseptic cream applied, well, two actually. Hehe!

The food was superb! Even the old stuff from the bottom of the freezer was tasty!

However, the lemon yoghourt had gone-off and had to be ditched.

A call to the Porcelain Throne arrived. A much better session. I think Diahorrea Donald is weakening.

Washed and changed into the night attire early, to watch all my favourite programmes in a marathon gogglebox sitting.

I got through London’s Burning with no nod-offs at all. Then, halfway through Pie in the Sky… I did nod off.

Waking up four hours later, the other things and the football I wanted to watch, all done and finished! Grumph!

Cunningly, I turned to the ITV +1 channel, but only caught the last minute of the game. 0-0.

Went and did the washing-up. The toes on the left foot were still very painful for some reason. Had I been doing too much hobbling?
