0005hrs: I stirred in the £300 second-hand recliner and waited for the grey-cells to
join me
Saw the blood test reminder note on the computer screen. Forced my ever increasing body-mass from the chair, and off for a Porcelain Throne session. A Trotsky affected evacuation again. Messy and needed a lot of cleaning up afterwards
Took the medications and did the Health Checks. The Sys and Weight are both too high methinks?

Got the computer on, there was a lot of work needed on the Tuesday post to do to finish it off. Mainly due to the fact of my missing the L9 bus back from Arnold yesterday, and being so tired, I did no work on it when I got home. Huh!
0400hrs by the time I got it completed and posted off. Then I started on this one up to here.
Two comments to reply to on WordPress, which I did. Then visited the WordPress Reader to catch-up on any I’ve missed.
I moved sharpishly onto Facebooking. The computer and internet were both going okay today. I hope this lasts.
Watched a forty-minute video of the Titanic and the fire down burning below when it set sail.
Another Nottingham City Homes letter from Angela Gould, our Housing Patch Manager this time. About the importance of a Fire Inspection/Procedure visit for Thursday twixt 11am and 1300hrs.
Not good this!
As I already have four appointments for Thursday on the calendar! Morrisons, Community Hour assemblage, Fire Instruction Meeting and GUM clinic Assessment.
Sorted and took the black bins to the waste chute.
Ablutions sorted out, new PPs on, the extra Germoloid cream applied. Got dressed up nice and warm. Collected the nibbles for the Sherrington Park Surgery staff. And set out on my hobble to Carrington and the Doctors surgery.
As I poddled along Chestnut Walk, I met with Obergruppenfurhress Warden Deans as she was arriving for work. Exchanged good mornings and I explained to her about the Fire Procedure meeting with Angela. Deana said not to worry, she would sort it out for me. I don’t know how these Obergruppenfurheresses manage.
She is very bust today, she has to go another complex to look after the residents somewhere, as cover for their absent staff. I thanked her muchly, and continued on my somewhat painful (due to Arthur Itis), walk to Carrington. Plodded down Winchester Street to the bottom and turned left onto Mansfield Road.
Up to the top of the hill and down into Carrington.
The junction of Devon Drive and Mansfield Road at this time of day, with the traffic being heavy, often offers an accident or near collision for me to see. No crashes as it happens this morning.
But I reckon, judging by the squeal of brakes and papping of horns, that the white van man came close as he pulled out through standing traffic.
I took another photo of the bush in the posh house’s garden. To show someone who might be able to identify for me later.
I got to the surgery with plenty of time to spare. Registered with the receptionists and got seated and doing the crossword book for about ten minutes or so, before the nurse called me in; and guess what… It was Nurse Nichole on duty!

She managed to make time for gossip and a few laughs while she did the blood taking. She even told me that the bush flowers I was trying to identify, were Peonys. It was grand having someone who seemed to care to look after me this morning. I gave her some nibbles with my farewells and handed the receptionist some as I left the building, whistling and content!
I was feeling so chirpy, I decided to walk back to Sherwood as well.
The traffic had cleared after the rush hour, and I took my time ambling along Mansfield Road. I called into the Boots Chemist to get some more Germoloid cream, as the one I got from Arnold was getting low. This one cost much more than the other one but was twice the size. I met the Geordie-lass from the flats in the shop.
Lovely woman. We had
a natter and laugh. I was going to walk back up Winchester Street, because my timing was well out, and the next L9 was not due for 50 minutes yet.
She suggested I walk up the catch the 90 bus. Which for some reason I had not thought of doing, bless her Cotton Socks.
So I did that. Only had ten minutes to wait for it once I’d got to the bus shelter. No signs of any other tenants in the vicinity, surprisingly enough.
Dropped off three stops later high up of Winchester Street, and walked up onto Chestnut Walk.
When I approached my Woodthorpe Court block of flats, I could see that the hoist was on my floor, the twelfth, with some busy looking workers grafting away.
Af I entered the flats, my neighbour Doris (I think) was there doing her laundry. She warned me to expect a lot of noise when I get in, the workers were putting in her windows. And, do you know, she was spot-on right! Hehe!
We had a chinwag session, and I made my way up in the lift.
When I got in, I felt all lost and confused for a moment or two.
I put this down to my going out and not coming back, having bought no comestibles that were unneeded or wanted. A rarity. Haha!
The drilling and knocking were terribly loud, grating and persistent. But expected. The longer it went on, the less I noticed it.
I took these shot from the kitchen window. On the hoist was some windows were taken out and others waiting to go in, at Joyce’s flat. Ah, that’s it. Joyce, not Doris!
I Surprised myself there.
At least there was no raining today for the workers.
I got the oven on to warm it ready for later. I planned to have the lamb Mousaka with extra cheese, and some tomatoes added on top of it. Potato cakes, and a handful of chips. Sliced apple too, methinks.
I did the Health Checks and took the medications. Got the fodder in the oven.
Got the computer on to update this diary. It took a few hours, as I’d made a few photos that needed prepping first.
Did the last Health checks early, as I was feeling mentally exhausted a lot earlier than I usually do.
The moussaka had a lot of aubergines in it, and I do love them, but they are on the restricted foods list because they are so high in Vitamin K. (I think that is the reason the cardiac team put this on the list). Bt with the Warfarin INR level going down sharply, I guess I should get away with my indulging myself this once. (I hope). The ready-made meal was warming plentiful and tasty. The potato cakes were excellent. The rest, average.
I watched a Jonathan Creek episode on DVD, then turned to the television. Then fell asleep. The phone rang and amazingly woke me up, how I heard it without my hearing aids in surprised me. IT was Jenny from the 14th floor. She had lost her internet connections. I was half-asleep, but I think I made the banal question of “Have you done the turning-off, unplugging, wait five minutes and reconnecting the router box?” OG course she had done so without any luck. I wished her the best of luck. She is unfortunately on Liberty Global-Virgin Media as I am. I wished I was more awake, I should have asked her if she had rung 150 on her Virgin landline.
I got back in the £300 second-hand recliner. The TV still on from when I fell asleep, and ‘Hustle’ just about to start. But I drifted off again before it started.
I woke later, turned off the TV and was in the process of removing my cumbersome, ungainly, wobbly body-mass from the recliner, to go for a wee-wee, when the phone rang again. It was the DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Anticoagulation clinic with the INR test results. It was hard to hear what she was saying, but I think she gave me the dosages for the next seven days, like this: Wed, Thur and Friday 2 tablets, the rest of the days 1.5 tablets. The INR level has come down to 2.5 from last weeks 4.4, so that’s good. Well, this is what I found scribbled on my phone notepad in the morning.
I had the wee-wee, washed my hands and placed the pots to soak in the sink.
Just as I was returning to the £300 second-hand recliner, the phone light flashed again. By gum, I was popular tonight. It was from someone wanting to deliver a pizza, He told me he’s outside the house now but could not get an answer to his knocking on the door! I inquired as to where he was. He said in Calverton (6.1 miles away) outside my house. I bluntly told him he’d got the wrong number and asked him to remove it from his phone.
Got my head down again, but the night was filled with waking so often. Tsk!

Had an excellent ablutionalisationing session. Apart from the Little Inchy fungal lesion was bleeding, so I applied some Dakacort cream. Getting low on this again now. Must try to remember to ask for some more on a prescription request form.
I sorted a black bag of rubbish, got the three jars to go to the recycling bin ad tool them out with me. Dropped the bag down the chute, cause it was now 0800hrs, and tool the bottles down with me and deposited them in the bin outside the foyer door.
The sun came out as I got further along the road. And, a few times throughout the day. But it was like politicians promises, no warmth and did nothing to warm up the voters! Hehe!
Haha! Brrr!
Right along Mansfield Road and up the slow incline. I noticed the Continental Shop was open and I decided to walk back from the surgery after the blood test and call in to have a nosey around, Hippy Hilda and Anne Gyna permitting of course.
0840hrs: The traffic going towards town started to back up.
As I neared the top of the hill, one of Nottingham’s infamous Pavement Cyclists shot by me from behind, between me and another pedestrian as she overtook me. Most annoying being made to jump like that, I can tell yer!
got a good head of steam going too.
Out and had a hobble back the way I came, made my way to the Continental shop in Sherwood.
Up the hill and into the Wilko store. More finances spent. £8.40 this time.
Where more Nottingham Street Art greeted me on the wire seats in the shelter. I must say that it all looked really fresh? A lady there humorously stated; “Maybe they got blew away in the wind while eating” Hehe!
This little monkey was spotted outside on noisy Herbert’s balcony. “Who are you looking at, mush” was the verbal message I received. Haha!
Irritable and tired, I got the nosh prepared. Not that it took much effort, nothing hot in it tonight. Polish belly pork and fresh bread sarnies, potato chips, tomatoes, beetroots, sliced apple, chestnuts, and Chinese mushrooms out of a jar. Fresh orange juice and a lemon curd yoghourt to follow. Have to give this one a 9.45/10 rating.
Got the kettle on.
Stuck my head out of the window to see what the weather was like.
Got the computer going and checked the weather forecast.
Although I didn’t realise it at the time, I waddled off down the road wondering what it might have been that he thought I had said, and forgot to drop the glass off at the bin.
I did notice that the external work to the balconies and windows was still on hold.
turned right down Winchester Street Hill.
There was a small squirrel on a low wall, who didn’t seem bothered when I got out the camera and zoomed in on him or her.
Up the slow gradient on Mansfield Road and over the crest, down towards Carrington.
As I approached the vehicle, a man came out of the garden, gave me a good stare, and got it and started the engine.
understand the sign language he used, though. Naughty!
cyclist.
I got to the surgery and went to register with the receptionist, who was busy on the phone.
A sad sight a few yards up the hill on my way to the Pelican lights.
Out and up the road, and called in the Card Shop, no, Card Warehouse it’s called.
Although it doesn’t show well in the photograph I took of it, but there came all at the same time, seven buses!
A lot of workers but not many tenants about as I walked to the foyer.

Health Checks, medications were taken and off to the Porcelain Throne. Settled and got the book to read, but no time this morning. The evacuation was a lightning fast sanguinary discharge. The blood splatter was widespread and needed a lot of cleaning up. During which, a little Accifauxpa, as I bent down to clean the floor, the head came into contact with the corner of the cabinet, and the porcelain. Above the nose and on top of the dome. Haemorrhoid Harold was in full-flow, bless him.
I got the computer on and got the average readings for the Health Checks calculated on Excel for last week. Apart from the weight, I think it looks alright.
Down Winchester Street Hill and through the sideroads to Mansfield Road.
and the surgery. Over the crest and down. Do you know, I didn’t see a single Nottingham Pavement Cyclist? Never been known before! Hehe!
Hobbled down to the Insult Store… sorry, Lidl Store and had a walk around.
Caught a bus into Sherwood. As I got off, I saw the L9 bus across the road pulling away. I thought at the time, and guilty so; If I hadn’t stopped to help the old couple in the car park at the surgery, I could’ve caught that bus up to the flats instead of having to walk up! Naughty Inchcock!

Up out of the Meadow I went, and back down to the apartments.
. Not sure how long it was before it started to come down, but I was on the verge of having to walk up the stairs, and the holding of the water was doing me and my innards no favours.
sed some wee. I soo found out that I hadn’t, but had moved some blood. Yes, the damned fungal-lesion had opened again! Got things cleaned and the Betamethasone Corticosteroid Cream applied.
I’d spotted some American medication for people on Warfarin on the net earlier. Sounds just the ticket for me.
Baked beans, Vegetarian and battered Chip-Shop Sausages and the horrid Anya Potatoes for din-dins. Lemon Dessert to follow. I left most of it. Not that it was any worse than my meals of late, it’s just that the appetite seemed to disappear as I ate?
Talk about beautiful, after the fantastic walk in the Copse, now the evening sky cheered me up a bit as well.
Took the medications with a mug of nice healthy strong Thompson’s tea.
Early risers, then.
I got medication pots done and back in the drawer. Made a note remember to ask the nurse for a prescription for some extra Codeine 60g and Omeprazole.
The Morrison chappie arrived with the fodder.
The rain was persistent, as was evident by the deep puddles.
Walking on towards the end of the road I came across a few traffic cones had been mangled since yesterday?.
I turned back to take this photo on the right of the chaps braving the rain.

Got into the surgery and a new receptionist was on duty. A nice pleasant looking plump young thing. But she did not speak very loudly but was very nice. (Give them time to work on her though, and she might end up an excellent Cutting remark and Look down a nose at patients graded, just like the others).
Peggy got a move on her way to the flats but had to stop for breath a couple of times. I caught her up and stayed with her each time.
I got in and utilised the Porcelain first thing.

Got nosh prepared. Did a lot of messy work on this one. Sliced a boiled potato and added Soy sauce on them, fresh garden peas, the last bit of pork ribs, tomatoes with balsamic vinegar dressing, sliced apple, pork loin and oven cooked potato letters. Added a seaweed stick and had lemon curd yoghourt and a lemon mousse. I forgot the yellow peppers but can have them tomorrow all being well.
Made a brew and did the readings:
As I went down the steep hill into Sherwood, I spotted this spider up above some bushes. Tried a few times, well many photographicalisations were made, much time was taken in an attempt to get a clear closer shot of it, but failed miserably to get the camera to allow me to. Humph!

m in it. Huh!
And, what a couple of Whoopsiedangleplops when I got in and joined the long queue and opened the box with the hearing aids in it. First, they were not in it, they box was empty! And I could not have got anything seen to or repaired anyway because I’d also forgotten to take the Audio Clinic Record Book! Gnash! Fed-up, disgusted, frustrated and indignant with myself. Especially after all the effort time and pain, I went through to get to the clinic. I actually became bellicose with myself. Burk!
Gave her an extra nibble as I got off at the flats. I got some funny looks from the regulars in the queue to get on the bus. I bet they wondered where I’d been so early. Hehe!
Made a super nosh, but for some reason when it came to downloading the photograph of it, I could not find it in the camera? Only the secondary shot of the naughty fresh cream French Horn cakes from Tesco that I took at the same time at the side of the plate?

It was about 0530hrs.
Carried out the Health Checks and took the medications.
I cleverly stubbed my toe on the Ottoman en route to the wet room. Tsk!
As I turned right, the flora coming through the fences was attracting some insects. Being as I was in plenty of time, I stopped to try and take a decent photograph of one.
Down onto Mansfield Road. The rain started then.
Up over the crest of the hill, and down into Carrington.
Passing a garden on my left, and I saw this bush with some unusual looking blooms on it.
Commanded me to take a seat and said she would be back in a moment and disappeared to talk to some one outside. These new hearing aids are useful, I’d never have heard her with the old ones in.
I thanked her and gave her some nibbles and departed, out into the rain again. As I took this photograph to use in the ‘Under-the-Brolly’ pictures on my Facebook albums, the lady driver got out of the car and demanded to know why I was shooting her vehicle!
The bus arrived, and I was soon off back into Sherwood, in the heavier than ever rain.
Had a session on the Porcelain Throne.
The doorbell chimed, it was a delivery form Cooper’s with the things I’d ordered to use as Christmas pressies.
Cleaned up, turned off the computer and got the meal going.
Even Reflux Roger kicked off as I limped into the kitchen, what a start to the morning this was!
Back to the kitchen and made another mug of tea for the one that had gone cold.
aying indoors would be a good idea today. Mostly the Porcelain Throne room door? Hehehe!
Realised I was to go to the HMV store to see if the Biederbeck Three Series I’d ordered had arrived.
take this photo though, as I turned right down Winchester Hill.
To the bus stop and caught one back up into Sherwood.
Then next door to the cake shop and obtained a fresh cream iced scone thingy.
As I waited to cross the road, this car pulled around the corner and parked up on the pavement, and the driver just sat there. The thing of interest was what I think are tyre skid marks across the road behind the vehicle.
Put the food away and got the new second-hand saucepans washed and on the cooker.
raphicalisations off for the TFZer site.
0300hrs: Lay there in the £300 second-hand recliner for ages. First trying to recall the dreams without any success again.
Made a nice strong mug of tea and took the morning medications, then back to the wetroom for a wee-wee.
r room exploded all over, kitchen towels toppled onto the floor and the wonderfully wet rain splattered through, soaking the counter and me!
As I got to the end of the road and turned onto Winchester Hill, the rain commenced to heavier, so, up with the new brolly. It rattled a lot from the handle area in use but coped with both the wind and rain well enough.
The lovely lady from the 8th floor was there, and we had a good chinwag and laugh.
ee-wee. Into the kitchen to put the bits away, the rain came walloping down again.
Got a can of tomatoes in the saucepan and bacon in the oven tray ready to cook later.

Got the meal out and served up.
