Grenfell disaster. So sad making

0400hrs: Stirred from a dream filled night (Of which I can remember nowt!) throughout which I was ever waking up and trotting off for a wee-wee. I think I suffered this the last time I had to have the Enoxaparin injections?
Gave up trying to get back to sleep, and decided to get the washing done in the laundry room before the District Nurse arrived. No idea when she will come. Had a wee-wee.
Took the washing down and got it in the machine and came back up to the apartment.
Took the medications and made a brew and it was time to go down to move the clothes into the dryer. Got a phone call from Sister Jane. She told me to put the TV on to see the horrible fire in the flats in London and asked how I was feeling this morning. Nice of her. Had a wee-wee.
Down to the laundry room and got the dryer working, then back up again and got the TV on. Terrible news, and from what I listened to from the tenants who had escaped the conflagration, they had been told the same as us here about what to do in the event of a fire, those that did follow the advice must surely have perished. No fire alarms sounded they say?
The computer on and did some Facebooking and WordPress reading.
Had a wee-wee and down to collect the washing.
Cleaned the filters, washer and dryer and back up again to the flat.
Worked on updating the diaries while watching the news of the disaster on the gogglebox. Couldn’t use the headphones or I would not hear if the nurse arrived and buzzed the intercom line.
Very depressed with the news. It had filtered through of how brave the emergency services were.
The nurse arrived, a cuddly little thing, asked many questions and injected the tummy. She was here about an hour or so. Said someone would call again tonight around 1700hrs, Bless her.
Had a go at doing some graphics to take my mind off of the poor souls that were living in the flats fire.

The Morrison delivery arrived, and when I moved to go to the door, some severe pains from the innards appeared.
At least I know I have someone to tell the tale too, or will have when the District Nurse comes tonight.
Put the fodder away and cleared the waste bags out to the chute.
Not so good at all, now, even Dizzy Dennis paid me a visit. Humph!
Signed off on Facebook, no way I can concentrate on that or graphicationalising how I feel now. Befuddled, Hehe!
Got the pod peas simmering in the pan. Not having anything else heated today, I might leave the meal when the peas are done until after the medicationalistical (Hehe) visitation later.
Updated this to here, and got the ablutioning tended to.
Got the early meal sorted. Not that is was difficult with no hot fodder involved.
Took the medications and gobbled the food down.
Off for a wee-wee.
Settled to watch the TV with subtitles on, so as not to block the hearing with the headphones in case I don’t hear the District Nurse arrive. I could not read the subtitles though, they were too small, so I put the news channel on about the fire in London.
Fell asleep, woke to need a wee-wee, tended to this, made a mug of tea and as I was doing so, felt sure I could hear noises, but where from? It took me a while to realise it was coming in through the open window, I went out on the balcony and found it was some
residents from a flat a floor above mine. Got the hearing aids in and realised they were slightly intoxicated, bless them.
They were out in the warmish sun, legs over the balcony railings, a selection of drinks to hand and shouting in ‘Gibberish’, I think it was.
Hehehe!
Got down in the second-hand £300 recliner, and despite the twinges, stabs and unrelenting pains now suffering, I fell asleep again. It was well past my bedtime now, and still, the nurse had not arrived. The nurse earlier said they would be here at 1700hrs, but it is now 1900hrs. Had I missed her when I fell asleep?

Up for another wee-wee and noticed how beautiful the evening clouds looked with the addition of the aircraft exhausts. The almost ghost-like bit, centre left confused me? Haha!
Popped out on the balcony to take this shot, so the unique mystery addition was not reflections from any glass?
Fell asleep again, and just after 2100hrs the intercom burst into life, the nurse had arrived. Cuddly little thing she was. Soon had me sorted with the injections and I bid her farewell and got my head down. But the brain and new pains from the stomach ensured I did not nod-off for hours.
Hey-ho, so much better off than the poor souls affected by the Grenfell Tower disaster!
This is the latest photograph of the complex. 12 dead, still unable to search for bodies 24 hours after the fire started. Dozens injured, many critical.
So, I do not have the right, intention or inclination to moan about things.
My heart goes out to them.
TTFN.

Nipped into the kitchen to pod the peas and get them cooking in the Crock-Pot. I also put some Jersey potatoes in the saucepan to boil.
Cooking now, though.

Head down in the £300 second-hand recliner. (It’s lasting well for a cheapo bargain is this chair) But, I could not get to sleep thinking alternatively about the great match, the fighting hooligans and the newly attacking Duodenal Donald. I don’t know if it is the fodder or the vandals that started him off, but by gum, he’s back with a vengeance. Took an extra 40mg Omeprazole.
All ready for the Morrison delivery to arrive.
Said my cheery cheerio’s and out and off down Chestnut Walk onto and down Winchester Street Hill.
that I had not taken the bank papers with me.
Just over the brow of the hill, a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist nearly had me over. Tsk!
as they had to use the opposite side of the road to get through the traffic.
mushrooms.
Looked later and it seemed to be ready, got the oven food into the dish, made and added some gravy, then the mushroom, peas and potatoes.
Watched some telly in between nod-offs. Woke with a start and a raging hunger?

Went to make a mug of tea and took this photo of outside to compare with the one above, taken about two hours ago.
The change in the scene outside from the one taken before I hobbled to the Porcelain Throne was astonishingly amazing!.
Toyed with making a Logotype Graphic on CorelDraw. Still not right or how I’d like it to look yet.
It had apparently been raining most of the night.
One from Iceland telling of some red potato chips they are selling. I found the idea appetising. Never heard of Bergerac Potatoes, I might go on to Bulwell after the doctors and see if I can get some to try?
Yet another wee-wee.
Got the new coat on and collected the bag and set out on the hobble to Carrington and the surgery.
and down into Carrington. The rain didn’t stop at all, but it was far less severe than earlier, but the winds continued to be high and vigorous.
rain and wind back to Arnold.
As the bus arrived in Sherwood, two fellow tenants got on the bus.
The computer on and updated this diary. An hour or so later put the chips into the oven and set the alarm for 15 minutes.
Got the meal served up!
hen I woke ten minutes later I recalled a War & Peace length dream and wrote some bits down on the pad. In the morning when I got around to updating this diary, the memories written down once again were unreadable. Bits I could recall were few, involved an Austin A30 van and my head without a torso climbing out of a pram? Did this graphic for a bit of fun.
Into the kitchen and as soon as I looked out of the window and the red clouds, the old saying came to me: Red Sky in the morning, Shephard’s Warning.

Caught the L9 bus into town. Had a go at the crossword book en route, did reasonably well too.
Walk to the other end and into the Tesco Metro Store.
Walk along to my least favourite road, Clumber Street.
Parliament Street.

Took the spuds out of the oven and scooped out the flesh into a mixing bowl and added much strong cheese, a knob of butter, vinegar and a tiny bit of salt. Thought I did not need much as there would be flavouring in the cheese that included salt? Got the spuds back in their husks and into
took ages to complete the task. Medicated and cleaned things up and back in the kitchen.
0415hrs: Got the readied dirty-laundry bag and down to the laundry room and got it washing away.
Pulse 79, Temp’ 33.8, Weight 14.81: All good, methinks.
Found it in front of where I was when I started to look for it in with the bottles of sauce and seasonings on top of the counter? Tsk!
Going through the Emails afterwards I came across:
Updated and finished Thursday’s diary and got it posted off.

Called in Primark Again, but nothing suitable. Hobbled in the rain to M&S, even less suitable attire. Walked to the tobacconist’s and got some snuff for Bill (William on Sundays) at the flats, then went to Clinton Street and the Sports shop. Where surprisingly I found some tops suitable and cheap too. Bought two of them. After getting a very annoyed yer disinterested good looking young man assistant to get them down for me with the extended prongs from the fifth row up on the wall.
Where I observed that many of the Nottingham shoplifter… no, sorry, I meant shoppers, had been caught out in the rain.
The meal was tomatoes, crispy potato balls, even crispier extra strong cheddar cheese done in the oven, fresh pod peas, an egg and two battered fish cakes with bread thins and followed by a lemon mousse.
Onto the computer to update the diaries.
They were painting double yellow lines on Chestnut Walk where the cabin is now in place.
Dropped off near Wilko’s and went over the road to the Victoria Centre Shopping Centre (Mall) and the fruit & veg stall. They had some fresh pod peas in, I recalled being conned last time I got some peas from there – but thought if Tesco does not have any I’ll have to walk all the way back here again to get some. There was a different lady serving. So I risked it and bought some. Turned out okay, she did not slip the older ones in the bag.
Out of the centre and hobbled along towards the town centre to call at Primark to look for some long sleeve T-shirts.
shop window.
Walked down into the Slab Square.
After a long hobble around I found nothing of any interest to me.
To Queen Street and up to where the outdoor seating was for one of the many
Took the medications and did the Health Checks, then got on with making the meal.
After consuming it, I took the things to the kitchen to clean them up and…
Julie checked and all was fine. Phew!

Took the morning medications with an ‘Anti-Trots’ capsule.
Took a photograph of outside, through the in need of cleaning kitchen window.
This took a while to sort out. Then I arranged the bags for the rubbish shoot, four of them, three general waste one recyclable and took them and deposited them down the refuse chute.
I inquired of what was being built across the road on the grass verge, and she told me it was the new temporary Social Hut.
Got the meal on the cook and did some more WordPressing, got carried away and nearly burnt the food! Ha-well!
While in the kitchen, I had my usual perusal of the view and thought it so funny watching a dog taking its owner for a walk down the gravel hill path near the Copse.
As the bus took a slightly deviant route down into Sherwood, I took the opportunity to take a photographicalisation through the window, of a different view of Sherwood and Basford.
Plodded along Front Street, not many folks out and about today.
reduced from £2 to £1.59, a pack of 6 English tomatoes at 69p, biscuits, Pork and Mushroom Pate, bread thins, Surimi sticks, chocolate Shortcake biscuits and Potato Farls.
rumbled away suddenly.
Served it up, unsure if I was eating the right thing here for the innards situation?
rooftop…?
