Inchy: Thurs 26 Oct 23 – Daytime spent sleeping not awake. Covid arm painful

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

My memories of Thursday (Now, Friday morning, and nothing done on this blog yet!), are not too good or comprehensive. Vagueness would be the word to use.
The Covid-19nd right arm was in agony all day without a break. Even worse, I had to use the sticks in my left hand, the right being too painful to use.
The sleep was broken, and although the early morning memory seemed better, the hours spent sleeping, or I should say trying to, and I spent so many hours throughout the day, because I just could not stay awake. The thoughtstorms or right arm pains ensured that getting any worthwhile rest was impossible. I’m unsure which Carers called, although Carer Maryham (Teatime) was clear enough. I tried using the computer, but it was no good. And got down yet again in the recliner after she’d gone. Carer Benjamin (I think) did the last check. No nocturnal night bags yet for the catheter, which meant I was still unable to get to sleep then. Thought Storms, the arm, and having to get up to empty the small day pouch on the catheter so often... I did take many photos I found on the SD card this morning (Fri); some I have no recall of taking, others, mostly the morning ones, I can recollect. I’ve got to catch up with this blog now. Nothing had been done to it yet, apart from this intro written on the notepad?
Not one of my better days.

These, I took when I got up;
03:00rs: The end car park.
0400hrs:
Terrible photography!

This shot was supposed to be of Venus, the only thing showing in the sky. Another bad effort.
Not surprised, though, by the state I was in.

No idea why!

Ah, I did catch Venus, after all, in a long shot?

Can’t recall taking this one, or when.

Sometime in the day, in one of my frequent waking-ups, I took this one of the end car park mud-slides.
Might have been when a Carer came?

I forced myself out of one of many nodding-off, and back on the computer to reply to a WordPress Prompt. It took me ages, had to search to find the cheesy potato pictures to use in the blog. At this stage, I thought, well, IK struggled but got it done… I think the sleep demands are fading…
But the only thing that faded, was me back into a broken-up, annoyingly waking every few minutes and nodding off again, sleep. (but every bit helps, I reckon)

A massive four hours out of it, with broken patches of sleep, in which I did not leave the c1966, ÂŁ300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner.
I must have known this was coming. I’d moved the jug to empty my into, and half-filled it, despite not drinking any water for so long? This decided me to ask the nurse to request a Permanent Catheter be fitted. The flow into the bag and the amount left in the bladder must be a sign for them to give up punishing me with this Catheter for over a year now. The supposedly monthly removal of everything to give me a chance to wee-wee manually; has only been done thrice in the year it’s been in. Every time they scanned the bladder, the day after removal. the bladder has been a third full after my weeing. And believe me, passing manually the last time, was sheer agony!

Chronically bad night shots.
Blurry…
Blurry.
Blurrier.
Really, really Blurrier!
I am a silly blurrier! HaHa!

Spent another night of nodding, jumping awake in pain, emptying the pouch… and for tonight, coughing to boot!

Am I Worried?

Keep Well, and Have a Great day!

BUSY, BUSY DAY… COR BLIMEY, NOT HALF!

Cock-up forgetting I’d ordered an Iceland delivery, or between 08-10 hours. Appointment at the chemist for 09@55hrs for the Covid Jab… but luckily, the Iceland man came early… Phew!  was back at work. She had a quiet break, she told me. Then, she also rang the Audio Clinic for me without any definitive answer about the appointments. Then she changed the well overdue and fitted both leg and ankle bags for me. I’m so glad she’s back ♥
You wouldn’t believe how much I was fretting without her.
The bus trip to the Covid jab, and the Covid Jab I thought went well. I got some doughnuts for the residents meeting for a drink in the big lounge.
When one of the ladies kindly asked if the jab went well, I replied: Perfect, didn’t feel the needle at all, no pains afterwards. The arm later on was and still is in agony!  And staying awake is a challenge in itself.
I could do nothing on the blog, for I was suddenly so tired out? So, and trying to catch up on this Thursday morning.
It’ll have to be a quickie, or else, I’ll never get today’s blog started. Mission impossible today. And the arm that I told everyone was name bother… is! Hehehe!

Took this and the one below before the delivery arrived.
Why I took it, I don’t know!

Made a mess of this one too!

The food Arrived.
And what a mess I’d made of the ordered!
I must have ordered six double packs of kitchen rolls? I felt sure I’d ordered only one, or meant to?
The fridge seemed well filled.

Got the paperwork ready in my .
Set out to get to the bus stop. Where I had a great, long, much-missed chin-wag.
The trip down was not too bad. A bloke told me to go one stop further than usual, then I could use the pelican-crossing to get to the chemist.
Since I moved into the flats, this shop has changed named four times as I know of. Just puzzled!

Crossed the road and took this shot down the hill. Then got into the chemists and handed them the COVID-19 details. I espied while waiting, that they had some of the Max Antidiarrhea Capsules on sale. me two packets.

I snapped some of the many closed shops on Mansfield Road in Sherwood.

Up to the bus stop, and had another natter while waiting for it to arrive. At this stage, my arm was no bother at all. I bought some doughnuts from the Co-op to give to the residents with their tea or coffee.

Got back to the flats.
I cheerfully meandered inside Winwood Court, and to the large lobby, and handed the gals the packages.
I popped out the back of the flats to take these two photos.

The backs of Winwood and Woodthorpe Courts.
The backs of Winwood, & Winchester Courts.

Back into the flat, and forgot to take off leg and ankle straps. I am a one!

As I was doing the waste bags, the Covid-used arm kicked off. I was too tried to do anything now as well.

Took off both of the diabetic socks, ankle and lag straps.

Not that I spent much time on the computer, but …

A LOUSY NIGHT!
Sweet Morpheus was unattainable!
I had to keep waking up to check on the day pouch, as the Night Pouches are still unavailable. And if I moved, the right arm gave me some stick in no little degree!.

Decent colour in the nocturnal pouch!

Lighter this morning… No, it’s not, I got up late!

My right leg looked a little battered?

Waste bags sorted.

Got the new drinkie in the cupboard for the nurses and carers to pick from. Keeping a list of those given out this year. I missed someone out last year. Tsk!

Well, that was unexpected.

Lunchtime treat.

A repeat evacuation for the first time in months.

The being-done-up for six months home has a ladder moved. Mayhap the builders have returned?

Carer Benjamin at work.

Gotten Himmel, changed again.
Getting regular summonings to the Throne?

My usual photographicalisationing skill showed through again on the evening snaps of the view.I got the colly wobbles?
I tried a close-up shot.
Ahem!

Midnight bag sorting again.

03:00hrs: Good Heavens – Again!
Well, seeing the time made me stop blogging
and make the meal of the day.

Oh, by the way…

Carer Richard informed me that the latest straps for are to be removed late at night and replaced in the mornings by the Carers; he then took them off for me. The compression socks underneath the straps are to be washed every two days. And , pads or whatever they will be, should arrive shortly, likely on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. There is no news from the Audio Centre about either of the appointments they are making for me to get the ear wax vacuumed out, and ears retested so they can calibrate both hearing aids for me on a third visit.
A phone call (On a Sunday? Oh, no, it’s Monday, innit!) from the QMC Hospital DVT Haematology Anticoagulation Clinic. They said I had missed my appointment… not that I can remember making one? In two weeks, you need to book in with your Doctor for an INR Blood Test. The Doctor has not taken a blood test for me in the last 6 months or longer? A carer said I am nearly out of day bags for my . Someone came up and had a search for some, but no luck. I am somewhat confused now. My In & Out of it spells today were numerous and worried me a smidgeon.
Another short blog, detail-wise. Sorry!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Although it was a good start to the day, albeit later than usual. Excellent coloured urine in the night bag to greet me. Much better!

The two great-unwashed feet. I’ve got a leg strap under the Carer’s table ready to go on the right leg tomorrow if the wounds have healed sufficiently. The Nurse will be coming, hopefully, tomorrow.
I made a mess of the first-morning view photograph taking.
A sad effort. From a tragic, aged, hand & limb-shaking Nottingham lad. Then I took this one of the kitchenette windows with the ledge reminiscent of Steptoe & Son’s from the 1970s television comedy. The white bit on the window is not the moon; it is a reflection of my .
arrived. He looked tired out, bless him.
He got the medications done and then got the black straps back on the left leg for me. We managed a little natter and a mutual moaning session. Hehe!
Afterwards, I actually got the slippers on both feet! This is a Testament to the excellent job done by the convoluted leg strap assembling. Comfortably too! Thanks, Richard!
I got the Carers & Nurses Treat Shelve topped up.
Looks good now. I like to offer a nibble and or drinkie for them in thanks.
I put the waste into one bag and put it near the front door in the hallway… which was a good idea cause I don’t have a back door. Hahaha!

I snapped this view of the late afternoon sky. Bootiful!
I wonder if the streaks were contrails -from planes? Or maybe it was from the much-anticipated and awaited aliens investigating life on Earth?
Back on the computer.
Arrived.
During this, it came to light that the instructions on the packaging of some creams were written and read: To Be Used Cutaneous Only! So I looked this up on Mr Google. “Cutaneously” means of, or relating to on the skin” As opposed to under the skin. So, now we know!
I’m miles behind with the blogging again. But I saw and had to photograph this evening shot from the kitchen window. Some eerie patterning from hours ago still showed high in the sky.
I got a simple meal prepared, some a simple man, me.
Bacon bits were done in the oven, and two cheesy topped cobs were put in. Putting the last two mini croissants to eat after the bacon cobs. With frequent drippings into the lemon curd at hand. Tasty, too! It deserved this worthy Taste Rating of 8.2/10!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

An improvement on yesterday with the
being on the verge of becoming an almost, practically smooth-working, but terribly slow service.
Of course, getting it to go in the first place took the usual hour-plus to get a signal at all. Humph!
Yes! Only eight times, much better!
ruled the day.
The 4-hours-up, 4-hours-down routine with the leg, got all muddled, and the brain befuddled. The Mind-Wanderings were a permanent feature of the day, and they flourished, worsening as the day went on.
Errors, mistakes, and were their peak of non-performance. How I didn’t sink into the expected , is something that puzzled me at the time, and still does. Through all the mental mayhem, frustrations and mistakes made, I poddled along with them, as if they were a daily issue to just put up with.
Well, they are, come think of it!

Just a mess today, sorry.

Back to being dark… Tsk!

Morning kitchen view.

Spuds for the later nosh in the crock-pot.

Four Visits Today.
Each one was in a similar fashion.

The waste bag is sorted.
Note the China mug within?
I poured the boiling water into my favourite mug, and low & behold, it flowed out of a crack that ran from top to bottom of the beloved, now deceased mug!
Not only that, but ran over the counter, down the lower cupboard doors, and onto the kitchen floor. Luckily it did not upset me… a bold, brave sort of chap, who took it all in his stride!

Finally made a start on this blog.
I later felt the slipping down the leg. I took a decker at it, and it was fairly full, and the urine was an even deeper colour now!
I do wish they would give up on this problem.
Obviously, the Finasteride Tablets are not working, no help at all. Why can’t they decide to give me a permanent catheter operation now; instead of another month with tearing bits off of poor , and causing so much pain and bleeding? It may come as a surprise to them, but I’m not getting any younger. I really would like to have the procedure now, because it will get a dodgier thing to have done as I advance into my dotage, surely? With is getting worse with every visit by the nurses. Not the mention the s giving me agony and making walking a nightmare! , , , … I’d better stop here, I Depressing missen! Hehehe!
It’s not going to get any easier is it?
Here Endeth the Rant!

A bit of sorting out, in the fridge and freezer, produced an extra bag of waste to be made up.

This often happened to me recently. With the annoying failing, there are times when the finger ends lose all sensitivity… which can be a help, if you’ve just burnt banged or cut a finger? But not when one is typing on the keyboard. I’ve no idea which buttons I caught in error, but in Corel Draw, the activity arrow, would not work at all. After a good hour, of trying different combinations of the caps, control and alt, things ended up worse than ever…
All off and back on again – lost some work!

Simply Wonderful!

Later on…

Veg soup with added spuds, & a little chilli!
Taste-Rating: 8.3/10.

AUDIO CLINIC TECHNICIAN VISITEDIt is nice to escape the confines of the apartment.

The night Catheter Pouch was far too dark!
Fancy that? Inchy having lousy luck!

Before leaving to get the lift to the clinic, I suffered three of these types of visits. Hey-Ho!.
Then, the problematic stand-up ablutioning session!
Couldn’t put the papule leaking let in water to wash it; it was a solo job with the left foot.
The shaving seemed to go pretty well.
Getting dressed was farcical.

Put some spuds in the crock pot.
I try to remember to turn on the low setting as I leave later… I then proceeded… to do the waste bags and the one I was putting the others into split open! Huh! A right mess to clean up and , and all joined in with the right toe nail and spoilt the day!

Carer Richard was not his usual self. Tired out, I’ll be bound.

I did get the Sunday blog finished & posted off. Because I stayed up so late working on it. Many mistakes!

A final call to the Porcelain Throne.

Then, off downstairs to await my lift.

Had a go at the crossword in the lobby. But it was hard work with these terrible new glasses.

Kept looking outside in case the minibus arrived.
.
Not here yet, so I took this snap of the local weeds.
Yet they look beautiful to me!

A selection of nub-ends caught my attention
in the end car parking area.

The minibus arrived, and I got belted up and grabbed from my pocket. Taking snaps through the window en route to town and the Audio Clinic.

Up The hill to Mapperley.

Mapperley Road.

New student accommodation is being built.

Town and Parliament Street.
.
Multi-screened cinema on the left.

Up Derby Road and down onto…

The Ropewalk from the top end. Many years ago, there were all posh houses with servants and butlers. Lawyers, private detectives, and many shops and offices have been converted into student apartments.

THE CLINIC
The driver dropped me off in front of the building.
I hobbled limpingly and painfully into the big hall.
The receptionist recognised me and indicated by pointing for me to sit down. So, I did! After a while, I got the crossword book out. A chap behind me mentioned, some 15 minutes or so later: “I talk to myself when doing crosswords, as well!” Haha! I didn’t realise I was nattering away, but the lady to my right said: “I understand!” Hehehe!

THE RIDE HOME: I was called in to see the Technician. Who at first was patient with me stuttering and forgetting things. She got the hearing aids off me and gave them some routine maintenance. She looked in my earholes, declaring she had never seen so much compacted wax before, as she checked the left lughole. She’ll make an appointment to have the wax eased and removed where safe, then another meeting for an Audiologist to test my hearing. She thinks they will not be on the same day, though. She was laughing when she was talking to the receptionists, and they both looked at me as I returned to the waiting area with the refurbished aids in situ. I could hear a muffled noise of talking.

Excellent job the lady technician did on the hearing aids! Not good on the phone, though.

I did sneak a photo of the waiting area. But it was not on the SD card when I got home. Snagknangles!

As I walked out of the clinic, the man was arriving at the optimum time. Getting settled in the seat, out came my beloved , for more window shots on the way back.

Up along the Ropewalk.

Down towards the City.

Right onto Woodborough Road.

As we stopped near a bus stop, next to the recently built student flat complex.
Tsk!
Bottom of the hill…
To the top and down towards the flats.
This shot of the flats came out decently.
I paid the man, gave him a choice of nibbles, and got myself inside the Woodthorpe Court lobby.
I walked through the link passage to Winwood Court and informed Warden Deana and Julie of my arrival home.

On my way back, I took a few photos of the shrubbery at the back, through the windows. Can you see the buried sitting bench on the right, below?

It took a wider shot showing both benches.

I may try to have a kip out there?

Thought to the lift, and in and up…
I took this sad selfie!

I could feel , the pain from the nearly full Catheter, and blood trickling down my inner legs from poor .

Got in and rang Meridian to advise them I had returned. But still had the hearing aids in… I could hear nothing, I didn’t even know if anyone had answered my call? I gave up.

Had a look at the leg.

Looks like some blood has gotten mixed with the water?
Still, the nurse is coming in the morning.

I got on with this blog update start.

came, I didn’t realise how late it was.
By the time he’s gone, I had suddenly sunk in a weariness.

I got the spuds out of the slow cooker, halved some and got them in the oven. Turned off the computer. So tired!

Got the nosh made earlier than usual, partly due to me feeling so drained after my little trip out to the clinic.
I dined well! A vegetable hotpot (ready-made) with the extra boiled and baked potatoes added. Nice!
Taste-Rating: 8.5/10.

Arrived for the last visit of the evening.
Eye drops medications, and I took his BP. And it came out just fine! SYS 123, DIA 70, Pulse 77, Temp 36.6°f Fit lad!
He took a snap of . The nurse in the morning. It’d been leaking again, of course, and occasionally stinging like mad. The Community Nurse may have to stick more of the padding back on.

I fell asleep the moment that departed.

But it only hasted for about 4 hours; I woke, rose, and took off the pouch automatically, thinking it must be gone by 07:00hrs at least… I was wrong, it was 02:45hrs. Tsk!

Farewell, friends, and have a festively fun future!

Inchy: Sunday 3rd September 2023 – Sight, hearing & sleep, seeked!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

The left cataracted eye is looking like I’ve taken a right hook from somebody! Mind you, looking again, so does the right one? But only the left one is painful. Although the left one was expected to be like this, I learnt of the right one only having one cataract that needed doing, and the left one had a cortical, and two nuclear cataracts done. Marching on… left, left, left, right left… Hehehe!  I’m still getting confused with so many eye medications to be done. How the Carer’s keep up with it I don’t know. I’ve written down the roster needed: AM on waking up: Blepharitis Gel, left eye only. Five minutes later, the 4-Times a day.
First Carer call: drops, for times a day, to be inserted by the Carers. The gel is AM & PM only. Then , this is to be applied by me, four times a day. The Dry Eye pads are to be used three times a day, applied by me. Instruction was supplied on how to do this properly. The Blepharitis liquid is applied on a pad and can be used morning and evening ‘If required’ in case of any pains, signs of bruising or red-eye appear. Well, they have all appeared!
Basically, I haven’t much idea what I’m doing!.
No doubt about it, when I caught the eye early in the morning, it hurt, and the redness started to appear! Left eye only then. However in the afternoon, as I was doing the pad cleansing job, had a go at me, and I caught the eye again! Then it got such a nuisance, that I had to abandon the blogging for a long time until things eased off and more vision was available. Humph!
Then, muggings here got into word-finding files.
So, cannot see, cannot hear, cannot get any sleep, and am generally desperate to make time…
Not much time for blog-creating again.
Onward… Not much today, Sorry.

I sprang back into pretend-life at 03:25hrs, and without any hesitancy, dilly-dallying or thoughts of any kind, other than I had a busy day and must start yesterday’s blog. I stood up from the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, ÂŁ300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner.
Forgetting all about the night pouch being attached. I tugged at the long attacked tube extension, and Little Inchies made me jump as the blood flowed. I ended up falling backwards, and as my bum hit the cushion, I discerned that .

The NHS Falls Team rang; she is coming later ♥

Carer Shaquille arrived for the early visit and medicationings.

The City Falls Team lady arrived. She was understanding, and we spoke at length about so many things. Of course, I can’t remember much of them now. But the lady was kind enough
to take my email address. She will send me details via email of what has been decided and what I needed to do. Thanked her, and off she went. I enjoyed that visit, methinks.

Next, Carer Kara came on a quick visit. She will return later for the finance checks for me. She did notice the cuts on my head that I thought had stopped bleeding and cleaned and Germolined them for me.

.
Got back on the computer. I would have gone on the , but…

Carer Kara returned for the finance & paperwork assisting.
I’d have loved her to get in touch with me.
But with so much to do in so little time, it was not possible. I’d love to get an internet service that works… get it sorted out!
But other things took precedence. Getting in touch with the Audio Centre to tell them I cannot find my Visit Record Booklet, and ask if I can go without it. Kara rang them, only to find out the place had temporarily been shut down?
She spent a while going through all my folders in search of it without any luck. Failure again! I am lucky!

Still no internet. Took some photos…

Kara returned with the new glasses from the optician, the Carer Jo-Anne had fetched for me; bless her. They are the reading lens ones. Not as good as I had hoped; I have to lean forward more to get a clear depiction of the letters to read. Still, as she said, it’ll take time to get used to them.

After briefly calling on Warden Deana, I made my way back up to the flat. En route, I decided I could get a lot done if I could escape down to Sherwood.
Food from the Ozam shop. Batteries & Anti-diarrhoea tablets from Wilko. A watch battery from the cobblers on Haydn Road, Get a flu jab arranged at a chemist. Call on the opticians to book an appointment to get an eye test & new spectacles… Oh, Yes! This, I determined would be a productive hobble…
Of course, I should have known better.
I went up into the flat and was well-pleased with myself for remembering to take the Kodak with me.
Again, my emotions were deluding, hornswoggling me.

GC Trolley indoorsI got down and out to the bus stop. No one else about, I thought I’d take a photo or two of the shelter and flats…
I realised that I had left the SD card for the Kodak, on the computer! Grrr! .
Not enough time to get up to the flat to pick up the SD card, and back in time for the bus. Which was due in 8 minutes.
I’ll have to buy one in Sherwood.

Dropped, literally, off the bus at the bottom of Winchester Street. Two passers-by kindly untangled me from the, my having fallen getting off of the vehicle courtesy of , and they got me back on my plates-of-meat.

This was a bad start… but things got worse later!

I hobbled along to the Ozam store first. Feeling a smidge nervous, now, and a few blasts from didn’t help.
It was a struggle to get around the store with the , and I ended up getting stuck at the end of an aisle, too narrow to push the trolley through, so ended up trying to lift it over the things in the aisle… An unhappy-with-me assistant came and lifted it for me. I paid my dues, and set off to the Cobblers on Haydn Road, to get the watch battery.

All of the pavements were uneven, wheel trap potholes, or had cracked tiles. Now I was even more nervous; took my time as seeing the cracks in advance, was not easy with my eyesight.
The Cobbler chap soon sorted me out… Well, as soon as he’d spent ten minutes talking to his mate.

Then I went into a shop to buy another SD card so I could take some photographs. The chap was a smidge superior speaking to me at first, but when I apologised for the shaking telling him it was due to , he said his brother had it as well and seemed to change tack with me; he was so friendly and helpful! I asked if I could take a photo to make sure it works on the Kodak. I took a snap of the chap! It worked!

Paid and departed, crossed the road, not a mean feat with he Sherwood madmen drivers on Mansfield Road I can tell Ayer!.
Hobbled up the road, and called in the Co-op store to see if they had any decent tomatoes or garden peas. They had no garden peas, and the tomatoes were a little spongy! So I left. Not responding to a beggar that is always there outside the shop.

Up the hill some more, and into the Opticians.
Who made an appointment for me for next Tuesday.
The kind lady told me to see if any of the frames on the old glasses were okay and bring it with me, to have the lenses fitted to it on the new prescription. Good timing I thought, 09:40hrs, I can catch the 0932hrs 40 bus down, hopefully getting up to the opticians in time. But, of course, this is me we are reading about, innit? I realised I’d got the Iceland order coming on Tuesday, twix 8;00>20:00hrs, after leaving the shop. All is not lost though! It is Friday lunchtime now, and I managed to change the Iceland order to Wednesday…

I limped carefully up the road to the chemists to ask about the flu jab. I did notice as arrived, that it is no longer a Lloyds Pharmacy sign above the window. Got it and asked the assistant about how I can book a flu jab. She said we don’t do them now – but the All Night Pharmacy will do them!
Great, I’d just walked agonisingly to and from yards away from the All Night Chemist, then the length of Sherwood back up to what was Lloyds Chemist, not I have to all the way back to the other end, the returned to the middle to get a bus up Winchester Street, home, hopefully!
Still, I got some more photos taken en route.

THE ALL-NIGHT PHARMACY VISIT

I hobbled into the shop… the pavements were even worse at that end of the road. I nearly had the 3-Wheeled-Walker over a couple of times getting there, and had to get back afterwards!
I asked about my booking a flu jab, and a dagger-staring look of incredulity back… “We do not do flu jabs until September!” I actually apologised for asking!
Then inquired if they sell the anti-diarrhorea capsules.
12 capsules for ÂŁ4.44. No wonder Asda have run out of there’s,
They are 6 for ÂŁ1.09. Same ingredients.

I started the hobble back to Winchester Street and came across this white van parked on the already damaged kerbing. I had the choice of walking on the road, or broken tiles… I opted for the cracked, broken tiles route.

I eventually got to Winchester Street and started walking up to the bus stop. Remembering that I had a watch that worked on now. It had gone 18:00hrs! Blimey the time had blown!

But the thought that I would soon be back in my padded cell and get something to eat spurred me to the bus stop!

According to the sign display, the next bus was due to arrive in 22 minutes. BUT! It was a 40X! Which do not go to the flats.
I started the long uphill trek up Winchester Street Hill.
I needed the exercise I suppose.

Finally, all weary and dodgy on the feet, Winwood Heights came into view! It dawned on me that I was lucky to live here… avoiding going into a home is my plan. I know it will have to come as things worsen mentally and physically. But not yet!

I took this photo of the wildflowers on Citrus Grove as I neared the Winchester Court entrance. Bootiful!

Crossed over the road and passed the bus shelter to the main entrance swipe doors…

I hadn’t noticed when I left the flats earlier in the day, that the window had been broken. I knocked on the Meridian Carers door to tell them I was back. No reply. Cause maybe I didn’t knock hard enough? Nobody about that I knew. I went through into the Winwood Heights lobby.

Through the link passage from Winwood to Woodthorpe Court.

At last, back in the flat.
Emptied the pouch.
Got the receipts, purchases and food put away. And hastened to make a much-merited meal. Using the smoked cooked belly pork from the Ozam store on Milk Roll Bread, with huge chunks of the not-butter butter, which I adore the flavour of!

Put some pickle on the bread, and the none-meat pies that I’d halved, and served it up!

Tomatoes and pickled beetroot too!
Meal of the week!
Flavour-Rating: 9.3/10!

I made up the route maps I used in the morning to go on here. This is the second one, with the routes walking taken.

Carer Chris appeared. No more eye drops for me. That is until we get clarification. Chris attached the night bag to
day pouch.

After eating well, I took this one photo of the evening…

Superb Nature at its finest!

Cheers!
