Inchy: Wed, Thur 30th May 2025 The end of an era

Now, CorelDraw will not let me save or import any graphics or photos at all! Even the ones I took in the afternoon!

Wednesday 28th
Horrible busy day. I took pictures in the morning and got graphics on.
Carer Joe arrived. And he set to sorting the junk room.
Wore me out.

I was peed off when I realised the CorelDraw problem.
I don’t understand it at all.

Thursday.
The nurse came to administer the COVID-19 injection.
I remember last year and the three days of sleeping that followed. It did again.

Friday.
CorelDraw has blanked out all the options on the screen. Can’t import, export, save, or copy anything…
I’ve really had enough.

Can’t see any help on the horizon.

But I’ll bother Carer Joe again when he calls next. And ask if his lads can help me sort out the problem.
With tax, CorelDraw cost me £449 plus this year, and I can’t use it!

I could, indeed have been crying. Sorry for myself.
I’d like to pull out of it all together.
The lads may help me in doing that, I hope.

When I get over this sleepiness and tiredness, whenever that may be, I’ll try to get the spirit to do a graphicless, or use an old one for a daily Ode on its own daily. But my spirits are so low.

I’ve never felt lower.
I also have a lot of comments to catch up on, as well as WP Reader. I’ll do them as soon as I can after posting this saddest of blogs.

Sorry about this.
Cheers.

Lilly – Fort Thomas KY USA – I'm a published poet and essayist on women's lit, southern women's writers and have been a contributor to Know Theater Tribe original dramatic productions of evocative prose poetry. I also enjoy building, water color and acrylic. My work background has been from exec. secry to university fellow TA; advising;and consummate entertainment maven during a dream job as home maker! I traveled a great bit to and from my home state of CA and enjoy kayaking on the harbor and horseback riding. I love nothing better than an espresso and good music with a driving electric guitar! Ciao! (I'm also Italian and hot blooded!) This was written before cancer and the lock down! Now things feel quite different. I'm still me - kind of locked down with my two male family members! I will talk about both of them regularly and both are amazing people sharing the same DNA! I'm the "other" who slipped in and stayed for nearly 30 years when I planned on two! My life until I joined my family seemed both alarming and intriguing to so many people, I have been encouraged to write about the events that both formed, challenged and enhanced my state of being. Your kind attention is appreciated.

I know you are feeling what joys you have in your already adjusted lifestyle seem to be ebbing. You have a lot to cope with and very little control. My friend – don’t ignore supplication to God. Even if it is railing against loss and discouragement. I can attest that when we are at our wits end, that is when unexpected gifts begin to move into your life. You are loved and you are worthy of care and compassion. I am praying for you too my darling. Love from your friend in Cincinnati.

Bless you, HRH-Lisa, the Cincinnati Angel! 💗
I actually tried a prayer only last night. Admitting my faults, and asked for forgiveness and help, if he thought I deserved it. (Something like that).
I’d be lost without your love and caring. XXX

I get angry when software providers distribute poorly tested or produced product. They’re so happy to take our money but cannot be found when there’s a problem.

Carer Joe tried to get through to CorelDraw last night for me.
All passwords, codes, product registration numbers demanded… Argh!

  3. The problems with CorelDraw would make me angry too, Gerry. I would probably try a reinstall of it.

Carer Joe tried to find an option to do that, last night for me. Passwords, codes, dates, product numbers and installation numbers required, dates… He did get a once only code so we could get into the history of packages purchased. To be honest, I’m not up to attempting a reinstallation, in my state mentally, Tim. We couldn’t find out how to anyway.
      Cheers, Sir. 👍

  4. I’m sorry you were/are feeling down. I hope things get better and that the CorelDraw issue gets worked out… that’s far too much money for a tool that crapped out!!

If you’re on a PC, consider downloading the free version of Advanced System Care (I think it’s made by ioBit). It has a ton of great/easy tools for checking, cleaning, and repairing software. The registry cleaner has been a lifesaver for me!! I run the auto-scan/fix after every single pc session.

Bless you, gal. I’ll show this to Carer Joe when he comes.
I’m getting more and more confused with things, things I used to think a breeze once. Haha! But it’s to be expected.
      Thanks again, gal.
