As Bob Monkhouse used to say in the ‘Golden Shot’ – up a bit!

.
Taken from the balcony.

Prepping Josie’s nosh.

Carer Rihanna called.♥.

Hours updating blog. Kept nipping to check on Josie’s bean chillies cooking in the kitchenette.

Final tasting and titivating session.
I think I made the potato cubes too big.
They were not cooked at the same time as the
other ingredients. So I had to give them a further
fifteen minutes. Then stirred, tested and added the
soya bacon bits to marinate and to give it a flavour as
Josie likes. I forgot to take a photo of the meal.
Cragknangles!

Josie pointed out that I was three minutes late in delivering the
meal. With a smile on her face! Hehehe!
Then she gave me three bananas in thanks for the meal.
I thanked her.
The fruit was a bit battered about and bruised inside.
No problem with that; I bet a pound to a penny she
bought them days ago and either tried to give them to me
when I was out at the chemist or diabetes course, and she
forgot all about them! I have great sympathy with my
fellow / fellowesses who suffer from Dementia.
Memory-Blanks, and Mind-Confusions. That’s me
all over. Hehe! Lovely of Josie to try. ♥

Josie!

Late afternoon, as I was making a mug of
Glengettie tea, I spotted actually heard a dog that
was barking; 12-floors down, outside, and through the open
kitchen window. I had a look down in the bottom field.
The couple’s little black dog caught my attention.
She or he was barking madly, but with glee, as
they threw, and the tail-wagging puppy was tireless in
chasing and returning the ball.
The tiny dog got partly lost in the long grass in the picture.

Rihanna arrived. Sorted the medications,
and we had a little natter & laugh. ♥

..
SETTLED DOWN TO EAT MY NOSH!

I’d just taken this photo and sat down with the tray on my knee
to tuck into it and chimed out.
Aha, my favourite gal in the block had been. She’s left a bag
of home-grown tomatoes for me on the floor outside the
door; Bless Her Cotton Socks! ♥
Believe me, these are the best-tasting tomatoes I’ve ever had!
I swiftly slices some up and added them to my plate!
Back down in the c1968 recliner, and the landline rang.
It was Jenny saying these gorgeous tomatoes were definitely
the last of the season. I thanked her profusely.
How kind of her! I’d got bits for her and Frank and Nora, I
must take them to her tomorrow. Just look at this photo of
fruits I took later. Superb flavour!
Bootiful!
It mattered not that the meal had gone cold while I was faffing
about. Just having these tomatoes on the plate was
enough for me to give it an 8.2/10 Taste-Rating!

.
I put the tray on the Carers table, and I drifted off into what I thought
had been hours of deep sleep. But, no! Shone the torch on the clock
and went into semi mode! It was 07:45hrs!
(Well, I thought it was at the time). The Carer is overdue… I’ve not had a
wash-up… alright if it’s going to be Richard, but he is not forced
to be the one to come… Then I got up and went to do the washing
up of the pots and get the kettle on. Taking these photographs of what I foolishly thought were early morning views…

The first one came out really well, selecting the Night View Mode on the Lumix Camera, for all of these efforts. I was gratified with the first try

In the second and third pictures that were taken. How can I say this?
Erm… Were they both rubbish?
Mind you, as modern art changes, modern photography might?

Maybe a pile of bricks buying Tate Gallery might show an interest in these failures? What do you think I could charge them? 50p each; Too much?

In this mode of shooting, I only needed to keep the Lumix dead-still
for three-seconds.
As you can see, if either
or

Decide to have a go; there’s no chance of a decent photo being produced! Even if
starts, she can shake
the whole torso with her blasts, stabs and pains.
However, the last try went a little better.

The penny dropped then.
It was not morning at all. And I worked out that I’d only been asleep for about two hours at the most; It was still evening! My already confused mind almost burst out of the skull – well, it felt like it was trying to!
I felt such a fool!

So, I got on with updating this blog.
23:00hrs; I thought I’d get the day late, shave, get the teggies done,
medicationalisationings and stand-up wash.
It’s too late to use the shower.
I’ll be back in a bit if I don’t fall asleep shaving. Tsk!

Monday Morning Updating:
Well, the stand-up wash went fairly well. No gums bleeding. No
teeth breaking. Nor , or the involuntary dance routines,
, ,
either. So the was just the one. And the
Went along; not too bad at all.

I got the night attire adorned and clambered into the second-hand, ÂŁ300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, grungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner, in search and hopes of finding
and joining . But No!
So, I got a Sherlock Holmes TV DVD on and watched two episodes
without any danger of my falling asleep. I think I was onto the third
when I drifted off. Better late than never!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Who do you think they are?

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

02:40hrs: I rose full of determination, willpower and commitment to get yesterday’s blog updated and posted puff in record time!
CorelDrawing, Photo Recovery, Excel, Word for the Ode, and back to CorelDraw. Posted the blog and finally found time to get the ablutioning done! Oh, better get the Health Checks done first… Two in the green zone again; it’s looking good! Body temperature is still low, though.

I took these three-morning shots from the kitchenette window as I checked for running taps etc.

Got the clobber I needed to change into after the sh… shave & shower. And, off the wet room.

This session was possibly, mayhap, could have been, was in the running for, very possibly, conceivably, in all likelihood, mayhap, ostensibly, putatively,  very likely, one of the best, easiest, least  Accifauxpa and Whoopsiedangleplop affected visits for months! Oh, yes! A delight from start to finish.

The medicationalisationing went well too! I left to get dressed. A  ! Then…
I cracked my right shoulder against the wet room door frame. Even as began to perform, I merely laughed it off.

By gum, the legs looked so good that I took a photo of them. You never know; the Tate or the Nottingham Art galleries may wish to buy a copy? Hehehe!

06:50hrs now. The Carer is likely to be due soon.
I put the mobile, ailment ID’s wristlets, watch, hearing aids batteries and Spare and sunglasses on the Carer’s table. So as not to forget to take them with me. Got the kettle on for a brew of Co-op 99 tea.

Gathered the things needed from the table and then got them in my jacket pockets and the walker-guide basket. Got the items ready for departure.

Then Carried checks. A good job that I’d given myself plenty of time cause they were persistently double-checked.
We all know who to thank for this. (Photo on the right!)

I arrived in the ground floor lobby with plenty of time to spare. The ETA given to me by the lady at Easy-Link was for 10:20hrs,

By 1035hrs, it had not arrived.

So, I moved into the outer lobby, which offered me a better view for me while waiting.

Around 10:40hrs, I spotted the mini-bus coming along Citrus Way, and it turned around at the end of the road and stopped to pick me up.
I realised then; that we could not get to the Riverside complex in time for the start of the meeting session.

There is always something for and at every Diabetes session that goes wrong! I seem fated with this place! The first meeting was the only one I’d arrived at on time. And since then, the other seven meetings have had hassle! Not in order, but; Late arrivals, Meeting dates were being changed mid-way through. So ensured, I got in a mess with changing the dates and asking Deana to change the bookings with Easy-Link; Meaning I went to one session when it wasn’t on – Missed another altogether – Then they changed the starting time of another meeting, and I ended up stuck in Bulwell for an extra hour & a half because the Easy-Link timing was not changed – Spent a fortune on shopping – Got soaking, sodden wet through, carrier bags, shoes and me dripping wet when the bus arrived – There were events, but I can’t remember them all.
Now today’s arrival was going to be late… Guaranteed to be late when we arrived at Basford. Roadworks traffic was at a standstill at the traffic lights. This was not the driver’s fault; even if he had arrived at the flats on time, we’d still have been late.
So, when the man dropped me off at the Riverside complex, the meeting lasted for fifteen minutes. I decided to forget about going into the room and disturbing everyone. Having missed so much already, what was the point? Feeling pretty pee’d-off now! I wonder if things will ever go right for me again? Fool! What are you saying!

I decided to walk slowly around Bulwell until it was time to go back for the pick-up. Another near-fatal more for the bank account! Fancy letting me free amongst shops and having the bank card with me? Humph!+.
During the hour-and-a-half I was meandering and spending money, I saw no less than four police vehicles arrive in the Bulwell Market area. Three were to collect shop-lifters, the other for a fight taking place between two women on Commercial Road.

That is the road that has closed the Boots store, Cheap food shop, record store, Farmfoods shop, hairdressers, Brighthouse and even a charity outlet! And others as well!

Main Street is heading the same way as Commercial Street. This area too has many closed-down businesses.
Sad to this, it used to be a great shopping area, with little things that could not be purchased in the vicinity.
Three banks closed. Cash-Savers, Beer-off, hairdressers, Two pubs, a Travel agent, Hardware stores, and Heron food shops, among them. So sad!
I spotted a Liberty-Global Virgin Media power unit that had been blocked off Main Street. Somehow, I was not surprised in the least to see this.
A little message in there for the boss of Liberty-Global, Mr Fries, who bought Virgin Media and is in the

process of totally destroying its good name, Mr ($23.6m salaried) Fries. The smoke & mirrors, money manipulator, con man, number crunching chap, who I admire so! No wonder the Virgin internet signal is so crap!

Where was I? Oh, yes… I shopped at the B&M store, then went into the Heron shop. Then as I was window shopping, yes, some of them were still trading; I had a massive Blank. When I came back to hear normality, I was in the Bulwell Market area with a bag of birdseed in the walker basket? I took this photo of the spot where I regained the memory (Sort-off). I didn’t actually regain any memory of the lost period as such. For instance, where I got the birdseed from will have to remain a mystery.
I made use of the bird food; by going to the River Leen and feeding the ducks and birds. Had a chinwag with them, of course. Which attracted some funny looks from those nearby… I can’t understand why?

I hobbled, slightly confused, back to the Riverside Complex and sat inside the car park entrance to await the Easy-Link pick-up. We were soon back at the flats, and I managed to cheer the same driver up with an offer of the can or bottle of his choice. (A Gin & Lime can chose, a smile produced, and a thank you, in the knowledge that he will enjoy that tonight)

I got into the flat and took pictures of the view from the kitchenette window. Then put the kettle on the boil while I put away the things from the carrier bags and trolley basket.

I was surprisingly feeling so tired, and the confusion of earlier returned? I could have done without that.

I forgot all about the mug of tea brewing in the kitchen. Worryingly, I had yet another Blank. It’s difficult to explain these. I don’t know how I will explain to the doctor on Tuesday. At the moment, I think it best not to say anything about them. Not that I believe she listens anymore, anyway.
I was actually in the middle of using the Porcelain Throne duties when I returned from my second mental sojourn of the day. Hahaha!

Most outstandingly, when I went to the kitchen, I found a pan with beans in it, the oven on cooking something that looked like pork slices, and that in itself was a shock; indeed, I would not have bought meat? They must be veggie ones? Also, I found two frozen potatoes in front of the microwave. I genuinely thought I’d lost the plot! This made me more determined not to mention it to the Doctor; she’d never believe me!
I’m not sure what I did? How, why, when… What!

The tune played, and Rihanna came in. Nice to see her again; she’s such a pretty young thing. Soon had the medications sorted, and I explained about the new doses and the Pentax medicine-taking to be checked on. I felt this was not going to happen. With so many different Carers, I will forget who I have and haven’t informed. The paper note I left in the Carers folder is nowhere to be seen? We had a little natter, which was as good as medicine is to me. Treat in thanks chosen, and she took the waste bag for me as she left.

I was definitely having visits from Confusion Conrad today. I was not thinking clearly, at all. Yet, not seemingly bothered by the lapses? I felt chirpy, in fact!

I made up the perfectly cooked nosh by adding the spuds to the beans and whatever it was that looked like belly pork but definitely wasn’t tasting like it.

I ate it slowly, occasionally stopping to think what the heck it was that I’d bought. But it tasted grand, all the same. Not the meat substitute, but it was okay for me, just not what I had expected it to taste like. Hehe! I also wondered where I bought it from.
Mayhap a search of the kitchen waste bag will reveal a box; to reveal the contents of the packaging of the product I purchased? Lackaday it was not to be. For there was no such box within. There was a white plastic bag in there that was not before? I took a sniff at the inside of it… Aha! That smelt like the vegan burgers I have? Guilt appeased!

I did some safety checks around the flat and hit the sack. Got up, did some safety checks around the flat and hit the sack… I had to get up later for a wee-wee. But I resisted doing any more checks. I got down in the recliner, and am pleased to report, that I . At last!

It’s been such a strange day.

06:00hrs: I woke my better-than-nothing four-hour kip. I waited for my brain to kick into gear, but it didn’t. So, in a sort of auto-mode, I decided to get the ablutioning done. I thought it best, in case the Carer arrived early.

But, No! , by the time I’d risen, the driven brain had started and decided I’d do the first after all.

I must admit that there was a little agitation brewing at this course of actioning change! Why? How? I was certain I was going to get sphygmomanometerisationing done. But somehow or other ended up getting the clothes ready, and yet I still drifted into the wet room? I still hadn’t really grasped what I was doing until I was lathering up for a shave. It was so unreal. Had done the Health Checks and had a memory blank? No, no… it was at her worst, toying with me.
So, I stopped shaving; and got back into the front room. This time I did set about sphygmomanometerisationing. It took me ages to get them done, then the graphics, and then I totally forgot about doing the ablutions?
This is not easy for me to relate to.

I got puzzled at first at the grading the NHS site gave for Blood Pressure. I had two results in the Green, so expected to overall at least be in the amber this time. Again, No! I ended up deeper in the Hypertension 1+ area than yesterday! Erm?
Then, the body temperature, which has been so good, I thought lately, had tumbled down into the Low-Red area. I think I’ll just print them off and not bother fretting over whatever the results are in future. I imagine the arithmophobia is partly the reason things do not seem right to me. Ah, I think I may have got the numbers mixed up?

After a while, I went to make a brew of Thompson’s Punjana tea… but ended up making a mug of Co-op 99. I know this is not earth-shattering, but it’s indicative of my state of mind this morning.
I’m trying to find the words for this. ‘Puddled’ comes to mind.

I took these shots of the view from the kitchenette window.

Then, I remembered the needed to be done.
Back to the wet room, and the need for the arose. Down on the plastic seat, and as it has been for a few days now, Constipation Conrad ruled. No torpedo today, though. After what felt like an hour of pushing and hurting in an effort to start the evacuation, suddenly, the pain eased, followed by a series of plopping into water-sounds. Haha! This time, there was some bleeding from .
I restarted the shaving that I stopped many hours ago. Just the two tiny . Had another stand-up session and no showering.

Arrived later than usual. Well, it’s not unusual on the last day of his shift. I got that wrong! is toying with me today. Richard was yawning a little, but far less than last Thursday (He didn’t come last Thursday!) We had a chinwag, and he sorted out the Covid booster for me. He’s a good lad.

WordPress Comments. Esther arrived. Updated Wed blog. Jenny called to see how I was. CorelDraw to make graphs as needed.

Deana called to say the EasyLink lift was arranged for 10:20hrs in the morning. I mentioned the Covid Booster, and we worked out which one to go to would be best. She tried to get it at Riverside tomorrow, but she had no free time near that. She then got it booked at Carrington Pharmacy for Thursday 18th, at 10:45hrs. She’ll try her best to book a lift there with EasyLink for me.

Belatedly I got onto Pinteresting. Made a meal (took a photo of it, but I left the SD card in the computer – Spit!
Carer Sinead arrived, always social event and laugh.

POLITICAL COST-OF-LIVING CARTOON

Energy prices have risen this year by 23.2%

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

04:00hrs: I woke after another practically sleepless night. Vague of mind, but the sudden need of the overused encouraged me to stir myself, and rise like an elephant does, strugglingly up onto my feet, and was soon in the wet room, and I sat there awaiting the movement to begin; it was just too painful to rush things along, I know, I tried. But soon gave up. Hehe!
Couldn’t find more than 16 cracks in the ceiling this morning; methinks that my ailment that’s known as is getting worse?
Tried the crossword book, but no concentration was available. I tried counting the veins in my legs… After what seemed a ludicrously long while, the action began. Grindingly slowly again!  No question about it, Constipation Conrad was in charge.

Once the torpedo started creeping out, the pain eased, and it kept going. It was getting it started that was the problem. But still at a snail’s pace. Still, the pain slowly got less, so I was content and even considered having another go at the crossword puzzle.
Yet again, there was no bleeding from . I’m not complaining! Although, the piles did feel a little tender. I decided to tackle doing the .

I didn’t have a shower, it was a little early, and I didn’t want to disturb my neighbours. I stripped off (Such a horrendous sight), that’s why I only have a shaving mirror in the flat. I was tending to, washing and medicationing my unused department to get the pain over with first. All done now!
Two only, and miniature ones. Great! I got both my socks on without having to use ! Head slowly shakes swankily! Admittedly it was still as painful as using her and getting fingers trapped or scratches in the legs, but still, I was rather proud.

And, the legs, feet, and ankles were looking good, the best they had for months. Of course, the darned was not better. Of course, they will not get less painful until I get the seen to? I got perfumed, after-shaved and dressed.
Then Germoloided the stinging . Then I started to Germolene the tender area and stomach folds. Got dressed.

Off to the kitchenette, put the kettle on, and took these two rather well-taken shots of the view from the kitchen window.

I used the Lumix set to the SCN Night view mode.
By gum, didn’t I do well?
Hahaha!

Of course, it could be down to ailment. And I only think that I did well? Searching for compliments here? Har-har!
I emptied all the waste bags into the large one in the kitchen, then refilled a caddy with some. Thompson’s Signature tea bags. I tore up the carton and put it into the new black bag.
I missed the bag hanging on the door handle altogether! Bent down to pick up the pieces of cardboard and knocked over Metal Mickey; The handle landed perfectly right on one of the ! .

I made the brew, and I got the computer on. I knew it was going to take me ages to catch up on yesterday’s blog finishing. So I got stuck into it.

Had arrived. At that very moment, bursting into life was . She was bad for a few minutes, and this concerned Richard. Who resisted my wishes not to, summoned the 111 NHS line and then called for an ambulance, bless him. Told me I didn’t look well at all.
Two paramedics arrived within minutes. As they were speaking to Richard, thankfully, Anne Gyna calmed down a lot. But kicked of with a vengeance, and the medics wanted to know all about the history.
But the BP, temperature and Pulse were a tiny bit out, but nothing to worry about? How come?
Many investigative questions were asked and answered. And they told me to throw away the Hemp medications that I’ve been taking to get to sleep. Actually, they have not worked for a few days, anyway. The paramedics believed that the Hemp, although have a calming effect, they could and will cause panic attacks. Which they thought might have caused the chest pains.

I thanked them. So when they had gone, I asked to throw them in the bin or give them to someone who could make use of them. Blimey, some monies worth went in the chute today. But, better safe than sorry, I say. They will check with the Doctor after she’s spoken to me about it next week.

Why I’ve no idea, but since then, the pain from , did not stop, but they were definitely easier on me as time passed. The reflux stayed the same, more or less?

Oh, also, I have to take Pentax four times a day, but a measured dose, not the gulps from the bottle I’ve been taking. A capful each time. This is most important, the paramedics told me.

I was feelings a smidge out of sorts, but not poorly. The flat with my having three people in it, talking between themselves about the situation, confused me a little, I think. I’d put the hearing aids in with the new batteries, but it was still not easy to catch everything they said. I wasn’t even sure who was talking to or with who. Hehehe!

I got in a pickle through a lack of concentration. Suddenly it was time for the evening carer to call. It was Carer Charley. Apparently, the Meridian staff had been discussing me with Richard about me today. They have been told not to take any items or treats in thanks from me from now on? Now I’m sulking!

Got some nosh cooking. Fishless fish sticks, tomatoes, gherkins, roast sliced potatoes, and tried dep of the tomato & Basil flavoured sauce – I will not be trying it again, though. Not nice, indeed, unpleasant. However, the rest of the meal was just fine, nothing to overpraise, but satisfactory enough for me. Overall taste-rating: 6.5/10.

I found that I’d missed off of the blog these two photos that I had taken earlier.

The cloud formations were, I thought, tremendously pretty.

I got the pots washed, and Carer Charley called to give me the medications. She gave the tablets by hand, one at a time, and poured out the Peptac measured dose for me using the bottle cap. Then took the waste bags with her to the chute for me. ♥

I carried out the checks with the usual repetition of checking things a couple of times. The taps are being turned off mainly.

As I climbed into the ÂŁ300, second-hand shop bought nine years ago, c1966 made, discomfiting, alarmingly Karki-beige coloured, crumb containing, TV remote hiding, not working recliner, I caught my ingrowing toenail on some loose cotton on the quilt. Which made me jump a bit, swear and give out an … Unfortunately, this caused me to drop the remote control to the video player off of the arm of the recliner. Naturally, in the dark, even using the wind-up torch, I could not locate the absconded remote.

Cracked yet again, once more… the toe with the … which hurt! Retrieved the remote, and got the DVD with a Sherlock Holmes disc, turned it on, and got down into the recliner once again… started the DVD playing with the sub-titles chosen…

Realised I had not turned off the room light. So I cautiously took the torch with me to turn off the light, using the torch to get back down in the recliner. At long last, I was able to wallow in the old-fashioned over-acting style of Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes. I watched through the first episode, but I started dropping off on the second – so turned off the player and snuggled down in search of Sweet Morpheus.

Couldn’t let me get to sleep again. Well, not for ages. Humph!

POLITICAL HUMOUR
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

05:00hrs: I woke up with little else on my mind other than to get to the . The short journey to the wet room was littered with a few and
I must have dropped the slippers off of my feet last night while in the second-hand, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner. But realised where they were when I stood up and tripped over them.
Luckily, Constipation Conrad was in charge this morning, so there was no chance of any unplanned escapees as I struggled to get back up on my feet. The recliner being close by, it proved its worth to me. It may be one of the worst pieces of sleeping equipment ever – but is a valuable asset for getting up after a tumble.
Although it was not easy at all, with both and being set off during the fracas. I thought the best place for the slippers would be on my feet.
I set off again to the wet room…
Not too bad a one this time, but enough to get me feeling a tiny bit all the same.
I got through the wet room door… opening it first; Haha! Without any knocks or walking into the framework.
A last, I got seated on the plastic ring. Yet again, Constipation Conrad proved his superiority over Trotsky Terence. He’s been a clear winner for several days now. Why I seem to get the opposites alternating all the time is puzzling. Having said that, this is the longest run that Conrad has ever had.
Thus, each evacuation had been painful and needed my input to force things out.
I got the crossword book out and had another go at number 83; I’ve been on this one for weeks. But this morning, I got a clue answered, which led me to get another three done!
As I often do, I thought, as I’m in here, I’ll get the done. It was another painful job cleaning the teeth… no, I take that back. Med HydrCompared to treating ointmentating or masking even when it’s not bleeding. My ,  is what I call painful.
Where was I?
All done, off to the kitchenette to get the kettle on.
The same as yesterday, the first photograph I took of the morning view came out rather badly.
Then as with Saturday morning’s second effort was much improved.
The last one, of the moon, didn’t have many definitions in it. Even I could see in the viewer that the surface of the moon was visible – Or was it? Had my sight been fooling me again? Mayhap?
A lot of things and people do that to me, you know… Fool me!
I made a brew of Glengettie tea, and jolly tasty it was.
Spilling the tea when I caught the stirrer with my wrist was not a part of the plan.
Nor was cracking my right shoulder on the edge of the cooker as I cleaned the mess I’d made up!

I hobbled into the main room (Junk room number two) to get the BP machine to so the .

.

The Blood Pressure was back up to Hypertension Red-Two.
The body temperature had come down nicely, and it was in the amber! And the pulse was down a smidgeon as well! The Dia figure was lower as well. So how they put this in the Hypertension Red-Two, I can’t understand.
I do a lot of that nowadays… not understanding.

Kicked off with his banging about. He was on and off all morning; he had a break and was back at the noise-making just before 15:00hrs. Such a nice man. When I say man, I probably mean self-centred, insensitive, disrespectful, ignorant man.

Got working n the computer blog. Getting on now, and no Carer has arrived yet. I hope they are not going to miss me again: and yet still they charged me at the end of the month? As they did the time before when nobody gave me my medications. I was musing over this and had a second go at me. I must ask the Doctor for an appointment about this problem, it’s never been worse or so persistent. Still, yer doesn’t like to bother them, does yer.

Arrived so very late. 08:45hrs. I mentioned that I was just going to ring Meridian. He seemed a little defensive, saying that someone had taken a tumble, and this had delayed him. It would have been nice if Meridian had let me know. What am I saying? Tsk! Even when they did not turn up at all, no one from Meridian called me… Then had the nerve… Oh, never mind!
It wasn’t Jozeph’s fault. The lad looked all in. Shades of Carer Richard here? He chose a can of Fanta orange juice for the daily thank-you treat.
I went to the door with Jozeph as he left; he picked up the waste bags for me and looked so weary as trudged away. I hope he’ll be alright. Later, when it came to doing this blog, I’d not written the time on the reminder notepad. I checked with the Meridian log book for the timing. I had mentioned the bother I was having with , and the pain I was in at the time must have shown on my face. But this was not worth reporting on the log?
I’d hate to think I’d snuff it through angina and get on the death recording something like died of natural causes or poisonous chillie-chips. Hahaha!

I started prepping Josie’s Sunday lunch. Well, I thought, being as it’s Sunday, I would like.

I spent more time getting confused on the computer. CorelDraw, WordPress and Word all were playing up for some reason? Then I found the problem?

Fries, I believe, has bought them and is now destroying them on purpose! Virgin Media and O2 are victims. Of Smoke & Mirrors, Money-Shuffler, slithery-sidestepping, hocus-pocus, mumbo-jumbo, $23.6M a year paid, plus annual bonuses, dodgy character Fries! Rest assured that Fries is up to some financial skullduggery with these two companies.

He’s even told the staff at Virgin Media never to use the Words Liberty-Global to any Virgin Media Customers! Why pay ÂŁ15b dollars for a company and then let it rot and get its previously moral standards shattered and lowered to the level of money-grubbing Liberty-Global? Mmm! Whatever the ulterior motive is, it is already being achieved underhandly.

But the cunning, devious Fries will win in the end, of course. His plotting and number-crunching match that of Putin’s oligarchs. His vast experience of manipulating, misleading and clever verbal incontinence draws attention away from often embarrassing or unpleasant figures or issues. Plus, of course, Liberty-Global has more than sufficient funds for backhanding, bribery and convincing those comically said to be monitoring the financial institutions, such as Liberty-Global, into turning an expensive cheek!
These are just my thoughts on the issue.

Ah, well, the evening Carer could come at any time now. On the other hand, they may come late again. Providing they are coming at all. Please don’t rate Meridian Health & Social Care with Liberty-Global’s jiggery-pokery antics. Meridian have enough problems to cope with. Stiff competition, dying customers etc.

As of October 2022, Liberty Global has a market cap of $8.04 Billion. This makes Liberty Global the world’s 1565th most valuable company by market cap, according to our data. Market capitalisation, commonly called a market cap, is the total market value of a publicly traded company’s outstanding shares and is commonly used to measure how much a company is worth. I didn’t understand all that?

Well, nosh, time cometh. But…
.
The second meal on the trot that I did not eat… could not eat, and I threw it all away! The chips were the opposite of last night, and they were bland, tasteless and pure white inside. The peas and tomatoes were not bad. The Iceland New Recipe No-Meat lamb steaks were… well, sickeningly slimy, sweet and inedible! I did eat a few tomato halves and some peas. Then got all the rest of the disaster bagged up several times and into the waste bag. What’s going on with my tastebuds?

Carer Rihanna arrived, as I was searching to find something worth watching on the TV. She soon got the medications sorted, and listened to ny sad tale of the failed meal. Offered a thank-you treat, and off she went, taking the waste bag with her for me. ♥

Then kicked off around 07:30hrs. The noises came from above the kitchen while I was doing the checks. Later he moved back into his main room, and he continued on and off with his banging and clunking until 22:00hrs+?

The Lumix was working again. Photos were getting onto the SD card, alright.
I was particularly glad about this, and not a little smug, about how the three pictures came out on the viewer.

The first shot was a distance view, straight ahead from the kitchenette window.

The second of the same view but a little zoomed-in.

The third was zoomed in even further.

I hope in the morning to get a shot of the moon, but in greater detail, than the poor shot that I took this morning.

I was a smidge proud of how these came out on Night View mode selected on the SC option on the wheel.

Was in no mood to let me get to sleep. Of course, the noise from above didn’t help, either. It took me hours to nod off. HUMPH!

06:20hrs: I rose from the depths of the ÂŁ300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner. Off to the kitchen to get the kettle on.

I got the kettle on, and I took this photograph of the morning view with the blue hue from the kitchen window. A bit cold when I opened the window. Brrr!

I got the brew made and took another shot from the balcony right glass of the end car park.

I then took a picture of the tree copse.
This one and all the others I tried to take never made it to the SD card! This depressed me greatly! But it’s happened before with the Lumix, and sometimes it just works again later. Although, this time, it hasn’t yet.

Aha! Jodie arrived. This cheered me up a smidgeon. Got the meds sorted, and we had a little natter. But, as I was listening to her… suddenly kicked off a gain! Dangwongles! That’s about four days on the trot of her input on the pains stakes now. And she kept on giving it to me for hours longer.

I bade Jodie farewell, and was attacked by Anne Gyna, felt wee’d off about the Lumix not working, and I fear to say, felt . After yesterday being such a good day for me, I should have expected to get bothered today.

The concentration on the computer was non-existent. I spent hours finishing the Thursday blog, the more on starting this one. The brain was not in good form, with mistakes, errors, and wrong corrections over the following hours!

I had to take a break, so I got around to doing the .

The resulting figures did not cheer me up in the slightest. Back up to the Hypertension Red-2 level again.

And Anne Gyna was having a hay day with my chest area. I took an extra painkiller and Beta-blocker. I don’t like taking extra pills, and I’ve been taking some this week. Mainly due to Anne Gyna being so bad.

No camera to use! Pains in my chest, and still, I was struggling to get things done on the computer.
Luckily the America Health site had graphs of a BP machine but doesn’t show the pulse as the NHS site does. Gawd is bad!

As if he knew how poorly I felt, started banging away in the flat above. He kept it up on and off, all day and into the evening!
There’s not going to be much more from this diary, folks. I’m going to get sat down, take another painkiller, and really hope I can get some sleep in. I’ll see how it goes. I’ll try to get something to eat before settling.

Tried to sleep for an hour or two, but Sweet Morpheus wasn’t having it. On with making a meal, it seems the hunger has returned.

I opted to do some ‘cook-in-the-bag’ boiling water rice, And amazingly the Lumix was working again. Baffled!

I chopped up some tomatoes, yellow and red. A touch of the hidden chef in me was coming out?

Put some delightful-tasting tomato & basil sauce in the little saucepan, with the last of the 7-Veg sauce added. Then I heated it gently, stirring in regularly.

At this tag, I checked on the camera to ensure these photos were making it onto the SD card… and by Jimminee, they had!

Fifteen minutes later and I got the whole mixture into the little bowl.
Poured a little BBQ sauce in with it, and stirred it up well.

Not as tasty as if I had used all 7-veg sauce with its peppers, but I still enjoyed it, even with giving me some stick! A flavour rating of 8.5 was given.

I got back to the ÂŁ300 second-hand, musty, Haemorrhoid Harold Testing, cringingly beige, crumb-covered, not-working, rickety recliner. Got my feet up on the swivel chair (the recliner is still not working!), And put the TV on to watch ‘Heartbeat’. Going to stay up late tonight to catch the England Ladies’ match against America, which follows ‘Heartbeat’.

Burst out, and in came the , Sam. We had a laugh and natter for a while after she’d sorted the medications for me. Took the waste bag with her, and I locked the door as she departed.

I’d nattered on a bit and lost the plot of the ‘Heartbeat’ storyline. A rarity indeed, me losing track of anything, innit?

I gave it up, and I went to the kitchenette to do the checks.
I’d left the blasted hot water tap (faucet) running again! Grungleturds! At that moment, my kicked off once more. I did take another Codeine, then.

I went back to the recliner, took the tablet, swore under my breath, and would you believe it… , started his banging about again! What made it worse was that I’d turned off the sound on the TV, so as not to bother anyone! There were subtitles on, not that was letting me read them very easily, if at all at times.
The unneighbourly, superior-natured, snotty Herbert making his noise so late (for me), really got to me. I just had t get up and hit the top of the high bookcase each and every time he made a noise. Thankfully, he only did it about eight more times, and getting up so often to reply to his morse-code noises, just about wore me out! Hahaha!
The football match, I did enjoy. England winning is a rarity in football, thank heavens for the Lady’s team! I suppose to be fair, England was a smidge lucky to win. They got a penalty appeal turned down and got a penalty goal. And to be fair, an equitable score would have been a draw. From what I saw. But I was tickled pink for them! Only a friendly match though. Both sides used so many substitutes I lost track again towards the end.

I was certain I’d nod off within minutes after shutting down the TV. But, No! between ‘s obstinacy, and ‘s stabbing pains, it must have taken me hours to nod off. Humph!

05:25hrs: I stirred back into a mock conscienceless and was immediately aware of the Doctors Frailty Test being at 09:00hrs. However, it was a total mind-blank when I tried to recall when the Easy-Link bus was due to arrive.
So, I had to remove my behemoth-bellied body from the second-hand, ÂŁ300, c1968, overwhelmingly-sickeningly beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, rickety-recliner, and get the computer on to check on the timing. Which was ETA 08:45hrs.

As I was putting the computer to sleep, I espied the yellow stick-it note on the front of the TV screen that said: ‘Easy-Link due at 08:45hrs!’ I decided the was needed first. After last night’s wash and brush-up debacle, I tackled the job with caution. There was no need to rush. And with an intent to avoid losing so much blood this time!

A bad start with the teggies. I think I must have torn the gums more than I thought last evening.
A vast improvement on Wednesday’s session! Only two little nicks! ‘Head sways Smugly!’
Showering: Ah, well, yes, it had to come! It’s been ages since I’ve had leg dance anywhere, let alone in the shower. But an I had. Knocked my ankle and chin, and shoulder on the control box of the shower. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it was a vicious one, alright. Later, I noticed a mark on my nose; I’ve no idea how that happened?
Apart from the usual treatment to the , which was the regulation prompting stingings. Everything else went well.
A bit of a hiccup with the trousers I’d got the new belt on to wear. They were too long and wide and were not very warm. Still, I’ve got a lift each way, so that should not be too much of a problem.

I remembered to get the new belt out to give Richard, more his size than mine, with his treats. You can see the leather belt in this picture. You can see how long it is? Better for someone to use it than throw it away. Off course, it would have been ideal if someone idiot had not ordered the wrong size in the first place! Guilty! My arithmophobia is getting worse!

I started to get as many things needed, ready and to hand as possible and gathered them in one place so as not to forget to take them with me. Got the kettle on. I went to the main room and got the computer back on.

Rang out, and in walked Carer Richard. After giving me the medications, I asked him to fasten the Velcro fasteners on the shoes for me, which he did. Then I presented him with the belt and found it was a little long, even for Richard. But he held onto it; said he’d get some holes punched in it at the shop. He seemed to like it. Made up a bag of his other treats, and he had to shoot of, which gave me plenty of time to get prepared for the lift.

On the reminder notes, now made about eight-hours earlier, and I was working from, I spotted ‘Test-PUP’? Beats me what it means!

I went through the checks and ventured out and down in the lift to the ground floor. Went along to the ILC-Wardens office, finding Deana was in. I reminded her about the flowers up in the flat to collect later. I could have taken the flowers down but had she was not in, I’d have had to go back up to put the flowers back in the water, and that would mean a good chance of me missing the Easy-Link bus.

I hobbled through the link corridor through Winwood Court and into Woodthorpe Court.
We’ve no shortages of notices, as you will have spotted here. Haha! One caught my eye. About the jazz band on Saturday 24:00 > 16:00hrs, playing in the main social room. I hope to go to listen to them… if I remember!

I popped my head (and camera) into the laundry room. What I saw bode not well. Clothes stacked on top of the washer, and the smell of cheap soap powder and alcohol… Ethel, no, Esther, was lurking in the building!

As I neared the front lobby door, I spotted the Easy-Link minibus passing to the right, do turn around to pick me up! Spot on time!

As I got outside, he was already pulling up at the curbside for me.

I mused over how much the trip would cost this time. It turned out to be ÂŁ6, for two ways, so not bad at all.
A nice chap; I’d not seen him before. Liked a natter en route, my sort of bloke. Said he would return to collect me at 09:40hrs. Thanked him, and I got into the surgery. I was instructed to take a seat… so I did.

THE SEVERE FRAILTY TEST:

After a while, Nurse Nichole came and called me into her room. I cannot say how pleased I was it was Nurse Nichole who was doing me on the day. An absolute pleasure, and she is a treasure!
Nichole did the test via computer input. I think I did alright. But not sure. Although Nurse Nichole said she would have to rush after the test, she did listen to me tell her about my memory and the problems caused by it and my belief that I have a concern. My sight and hearing problems, Bless her! ♥ I did feel guilty afterwards, my pushing it. But I thought this was the only person who would understand?
Shame facedly, I took a seat in the waiting room until the transport arrived. The young receptionist said she will keep an eye on the cameras and let me know when the bus arrived. Bless ’em all!

A lady sat next to me and got out her mobile. And I mentioned to her how complicated mobiles are nowadays. I showed her my Nokia. I got a lovely look from her that said, “Ah, the poor old thing!” And we started chatting away, which suited me to a tee! The receptionist girl told me that the bus was coming in. So, I bid farewell to the lady sitting next to me, and I ventured outside to the minibus.

The same driver picked me up. And we nattered en route back to the flats, which did not take very long, but it was nattering-filled, just perfect! Boosted me no end that did.

And, dread of dreads, in walked Esther! Never stopped talking, not that I could hear her anyway. Problems I gather with getting washing machines. Meant she was going through the cabinets and shelves pretending to clean. I’ve no idea if anything disappeared or not. Maybe a bottle of spring water?

Anyway, I upset her when she started going through my files and boxes when she opened one from Lisa-Petal. I told her, “That’s private!” “Not that it stops you searching through things, does it?” – “I didn’t know!” Then as she sulked, I got a minute or two of peace from her voice! But it didn’t last long. It’s just that it was the beautiful pink box Lisa-Petal sent me from America, with the family in it. Anyway, I think she charged me extra to get her own back. Tsk! I gave Esther a ÂŁ20 note, she gave me a tenner back and told me I owed her ÂŁ5.

At last, I could get on undisturbed and badgered with the blog updating. I’d been at it for about three hours; it was slow progress. Then, sounded. I found some tomatoes outside the door. Jenny had gifted me some more; bless her! I called her on the mobile to thank her. What a kind gal she is. I must take some drinkies down to her door. This reminds me of the English ladies’ football match tomorrow night if I can stay awake long enough to watch, and the Jazz-Band performance on Saturday. Looking forward to hearing them. (Again, if I remember!)
Back to blogging again.
Started kicking off! And she was in a nasty mood with me! I took an extra Codeine. And then, another cockup was performed by yours truly. I read the wrong leaflet with the magnifying glass. I thought it was the one for the Ramprilil capsules. Cause I can’t remember which of the medications is for . I did feel like a fool! Got the right one, but even with the glass, I could not read it. I looked on Google. Nitrates, but I don’t think I’ve got any of them on the prescriptions. A deeper search found that Beta Blockers are used as well… Ah, I’ve got some of them… dare I try taking an extra one now? Bugger it, I will!

The time has gone quickly again! The Carer is due in the next hour. And I don’t feel hungry again? Summat a matter with me here?

In walked a very welcoming Sinead. ♥ A lovely gal. Had I been 60 years younger, a foot taller, a lot healthier/fitter, could see and hear, had hair on my head, and slightly more sane, I’d be in there, you know! Oh, Yes! She could not stay long, but Sinead accepted the treats and…
Found I’d left the hot tap running! AGAIN!

I FEEL AN ODE COMING ON…

Then Sinead departed. I asked her to take the waste bag with her to the chute, which she did, and slightly annoyed with himself for leaving the hot tap running, sadder at Sinead’s departure, and idiot, closed and locked the door, and limped back to his computer, and but Heartbeat on his TV.

Despite this Thursday being his best day for months, he sank into a Dracula Depression. Life can be a bitch! Yet, he fought his way out of the gloom. He decided that this momentary glitch, Cataract Katie, Hearingless Hennessy, Anne Gyna etc. were only payment for his sins, mistakes and attitude he had as a teenager and were deserved. (Got into a foul mood now, hasn’t he – Hehehe!) Time for him to get some shut-eye?

Oh, ! I’ve not done the , have I. Humph! I’ll do them then.

Back up into the read after one day in the amber. Ah! Well, it could be worse.

SYS 150. DIA 85, I’m sure I’ve had similar figures for these two and not ended up so high on the assessment graph?

The body temperature is maintaining a much higher-than-normal figure? There’s a reason for this, you know.
I’ve no idea what it is, mind. Haha!

The DVT-Warfarin Clinic phoned me; a little hard making out what she was saying, but a few Pardon me’s, and can you say that again please’s, and I think I got the message.
It seems that the Warfarin INR level had shot up to 4.1.
So, they are calling again on Monday, twixt 08:00 to 08:30hrs, to take another sample.
I put this in the Google Diary.

Back to the
The pulse was also pretty high again, at 91bpm.
Wonder what it ought to be?

Then I remembered to get some 7 veg sauce heating up to go with the rice later.

I took this photograph of the evening sunset horizon.
I thought it looked different to usual.

I noticed the letter that arrived earlier that I’d put on the desk.
It was from Easy-Link. The social transport suppliers. Also called CT4N.
They had sent a questionnaire. Four A4 size sheets, asking for an urgent reply? Sounds to me like they are about to stop the service, mayhap?

Not good if so. Of course, it arrives at the weekend when I have no one available to help me with it; the writing is so small.
Oh, lucky me! Got the fodder prepared.

Put some of the 7-Roasted Veg (Tomatoes, aubergine, carrot, courgette, onion & yellow red pepper) sauce in the saucepan on its lowest heat level and stirred it regularly.
Then got the rice in the microwave for 2-minutes as instructed.
Added some BBQ sauce to the pan and got the rice in the wide low bowl.
Then added the sauce and gave it a good mixing up.
It didn’t look much to the eye, but to my taste buds, it was scrumptious, almost ambrosian! Flavour-Rating: 8.9/10!
On looking at the bottom picture in the morning, I thought I may have eaten a beetle? Can you see why in the picture? Hehe! I reckon, and hope, it was a piece of aubergine that looked like a beetle!

I got the pots washed and then settled to get some belated sleep, but this was not to be. What followed has not been known for donkey years; I watched a film all the way through! Well, almost, just a few nodding offs of a minute or two. And I’d seen the film before as well. Denzel Washington, in The Equalizer. Oh, I do love it when the good guys win. Which is a fantasy, of course… they rarely do win in real life. But that’s what attracts me to watch these films in the first place.
This meant I turned off the TV as soon as the movie ended; and drifted into the land of nod in the early hours of the morning. I didn’t wake up until 06:30hrs! The latest I’ve woken in years! And just 20 minutes before the carer arrived. Evening all… no, Morning all!

06:05hrs: I been laying there wondering what it was that was different as I stirred back into imitation life. Then, it clicked! I’d had at least six hours of sleep! Still a deficit overall, but so much better than the night before, with a total of Zero-Hours! Then as I moved my limbs, something else was not normal… There was no pain whatever coming from ! Well, this is a good start, I thought. But refused to go into a smug mode. I’d not gotten up yet, or checked for any Whoopsiedangleplops from last night. Like taps running, stove left on, fridge door or window left open, etc. So, after doing the balance exercises, which went well, I grabbed Metal-Micky, and we looked around. No signs of nocturnal wanderings, tap off, oven off, window shut… Mmm?

I decided to get Josie’s Sunday meal prepped. I’m using the black bean in chilli sauce I got from Bulwell in the rain storm on Friday in it today.
Sliced some tomatoes and chestnut mushrooms, nice and small, how Josie likes them. Then added the 7-vegetable sauce in chilli to it. Put the mince in it, and make some chilli gravy using the smoked chilli seasoning. Later, I added a can of mixed vegetables and some liquid salt.
Made a brew of Thomson’s Punjana tea, and I started on the template for today’s blog.

Jozeph arrived. I’d not seen him for a while. He explained he’d been off work with Covid! And he said he’d had three shots and four booster shots. Doesn’t give you much confidence, does it? I’ve not had a booster at all yet. The Carer gave me a test the other week, and I was clear then. We got the medications sorted, and he had a little natter. He’s got an extra patient to go to. He took the waste bag with him as he departed with a drinkie and a nibble in thanks.

I went to check on the chilli stew, or whatever you call it.
Got all the ingredients into one saucepan and left it on low heat after a good stirring.

Then, I decided to get them done.
I got the Boot’s Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China.

The was needed, and urgently, so much so, I feared, “I’m never going to get there in time!

I rushed so much to the wet room; the toes were really hurting again, so much. Down on the seat, the action flowed, no pain, no bleeding, but a little messy – Thank heavens there were no leaks, or it would have left me with a right mess to clean up. I allowed myself a Smug-Mode moment this time.

SYS 154, DIA 89 (High). The Pulse was also high at 90 bpm.

The body temperature was also back up a smidgeon, at 37.3°f.

The Excel graph showed an awful lot of reds. Still, compared to yesterday, at least I was down to Hyper-Tension Red one again.
I stirred the saucepan and turned it off to marinate.
I opened the computer and found this photo on the left that I believe I missed putting in Saturday’s blog.
Hard to believe that such an erudite, educated young man as I could forget such a thing. Absolutely beautiful!
Started his enosis iffy again. A persistent dough ball of arrogance, he is. I continued from yesterday, and I started giving the high bookcase a clout with metal Micky in return each time. With any luck, he may have heard it and may come down to complain? He’s impudent enough. I await his calling… after which an ambulance and police may also be calling. He kept it up for hours. My high bookcase may get damaged if he doesn’t give me a break. Hahaha! Oh, it’s gone quiet?

Got the Saturday blog finished and posted off to WordPress. Replied to the flood of comments coming in about the blog. I answered them both.

Oh, time to get Josie’s meal served up.
Did the usual with the chillies; I split it half and half-ish between a porcelain bowl and a lidded tub, so Josie can reheat it later in the microwave. Two meals that way, Sunday and Monday, for the gal to enjoy. Got it delivered to her door.
I remembered to take the Lumix with me this time, so I got a shot of Josie taking the tray.
She posed for me in her doorway. She poses well, does she not? The tray displays the two meals, two cans of plonk, Gin and a Vodka & orange. Teacakes nibbles, Orange Yorkie bar (Josies struck on them), and a pot of Limoncello. Not been able to get any for ages, so that should cheer her up. It didn’t do me any good, though. The last time I got some, a couple of months ago, they were two for ÂŁ1.40. Now, Morrisons have upped them to ÂŁ1.89. Tsk!

I got back into the flat and washed the utensils, saucepans, tray etc. and made a brew of Thompson’s Punjana. I’d left the first one to brew up and forgot all about it. A regular occurrence. In fact, I probably make more brews than I drink.

Then onto CorelDraw to make up some tags, then updated a page of the Ode words to use.

McCartney sausages, tomatoes, oven-warmed cobs, and a lemon dessert for the meal. Nothing fancy, I was so tired.
But, it went down well.
Simple food for a simple mind. I did enjoy it all the same.
A worthy Flavour-Rating of 7/10. I ate it all up. Slurp!
Washed the pots, had a wee-wee, washed and .

Blared out from the door chime – jerking me awake from the beautiful deep sleep I was in! It was Carer Aoki.
A little confusion arose from my positive conviction that it was morning, not night! Courtesy of Doreen, and my still feeling half-asleep. The first clue to the truth was when Aoki issued me the tablets that included  2½ Warfarin tablets. I slowly came back to normal. (When I say normal, I possibly should have told my usual sub-normal state) I tried to explain why I got confused, but fear the stuttering in my talking only got a furrowed brow from Aoki. I possibly could have sounded drunk, I think. Aoki chose a non-alcoholic drinkie in thanks. Took the black bag with her as she departed.

I felt I had to make a check of the flat to see if I’d left taps, lights, heaters, oven etc. on anywhere. As I limped around each room, the got more painful. These nails are going to be giving me more and more bother… Humph!
Checked the kitchen out last. The holy thing I found untoward was the fridge soar not shut properly.
The view I caught a little late to catch the sun part of the sunset, I thought adorable, calm and peaceful.
I took this photo, closed the window, and knocked a jar of my beloved vegetable flavourings off the ledge. It broke this time. Getting the smashed glass and sauce from the floor was possibly even more painful than it was. I managed to cut my finger on the bits of glass. And really annoyed the preciously calm , bending down, and she joined in with the angry, pain-giving, with me doing so much genuflecting.

I nodded off quickly enough. But kept waking up with a jerk, repeatedly. It was well gone midnight when the waking-up-jumps stopped. I know this because I had to fumble my way out of the second-hand, ÂŁ300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, gungy beige coloured, none-working, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner, to have a wee-wee. So noted the time.

I had not had any sleep to speak of; one horrendous night; With  Thought Storms, and each time I moved an iota, either the or else would wake me up, not that I did a lot of nodding off last night. At around 0600hrs, I was forced out of the discomfort of the £300, second-hand, musty, Haemorrhoid Harold Testing, cringingly beige, crumb-covered, not-working, rickety recliner.
Standing up, and getting to the Porcelain Throne, has never been more excruciating.

I got to the wet room and proceeded with the evacuation. Apart from a little bleeding, there was no struggle or pain involved. I decided, as I have done for several days now, that as I was already in there, I’d get the done. Which I did! I felt sure that I’d hear the door chime music if a Carer Came.
Started with the shaving. Determined not to get so many cuts this time, I went steady with the razors… but that was not working, not around the neck, anyway.
It’s not fair that the hair does no longer grow on the head but is growing enthusiastically on the neck and shoulder tops. I’ve just got to apply more pressure to get the soft twine-like razor-blocking type. I acquired about eight cuts, all on the neck, so I couldn’t see them. Looking in a mirror at one neck hole is impossible with and   jerking you about.

Got around to the medicationalisationings.
Harold’s Haemorrhoids first. Always the easiest one to tackle.
Med HydrThen the worst one, pain-wise, Little Inchies Fungal Lesion. A few, well, many Oohs and Arghs were released while doing this task.
I believe a couple of words describing my hatred of the lesion sneaked out, too!

The farce of trying to put the eye drops in the eye seemed more ridiculous than usual today. I used about a third of the new bottle, and of that, I doubt if much of it actually got into the cataracted eye. The nose, cheek, chin and chest… Yes! No problem with the nose spray. Germolenes the creases in the belly and put some on the neck cuts that were resisting the Brut and were still bleeding. I rubbed some into the hands as well. But there was no way I could get close enough to do the toes! Humph!
I’d have done the toes as well with the Phorpain. But the problem’s the same, isn’t it? I can’t get to them. I think I’ll ask one of the Carers to rub them both in if they would for me.

I was getting the fresh PPs out and realised I had left the trousers in the front room. So I popped in to retrieve them from the computer room;
The evening Care had let herself in and was at the Carers Desk when I limped into the room – naked, I thought at the time! Oh, what a mistake to maker! I hid behind the back of the recliner. Thank heavens that I noticed I actually had put the PPs on! Phew!
The was Sam. It all happened so long ago, it 18:00hrs, and as I say, the fatigued is coming on, so with that, the memory and concentration fade. So things may be short on detail from here on, as I have only my poorly scribbled notes to go by.

I missed putting this photograph of the morning view I took earlier.
Another not-too-great shot. I’m becoming quite skilled at taking these. And also the shaky-+looking pictures. Not to mention the mystery photos that came from I know not where. Oh, I mentioned them!
Noisy-Neighbour Herbert, in the flat above, has been knocking and tapping away on and off for hours now. And this continued until 17:00hrs When I got a blessed relief from them. Must have been having his dinner. I am afraid I am getting pissed off with Mr Untouchable, and for an hour or two, maybe four, each time he kicked off, I hit the ceiling with Metal-Micky. Who has not left my side and has been used so many times? I hope he complains… mind you knowing that ignorant superior, loved by the Nottingham City Homes Management, it’ll be in the wrong, and I’ll get myself thrown out of the flat.

Blogging on and off all day, and as the day progresses, so do my mistakes, errors, Whooposiedangleplops and concentration.

I spotted a bag of prescriptions on the Carers table that will be left for Richard to sort out on Monday.

I keep meaning to ask Richard if Meridian might ask for some Anusol to be put on my monthly prescriptions. Having to pay over ÂŁ7 for a tiny tube is prohibitive. I hope I remember to ask and that they do add it monthly.
I got the bowl with some Dettol and washing-up liquid in it and gave the feet a good soak.
The toes are just not easing up, pain-wise. Mind you, paying a woman ÂŁ25 pounds to cut your toenails, and she cuts your toes as well, almost every time you go… Is not good! I shall ask whichever Carer comes tonight (Assuming one does come, of course) if they will rub some Germolene on the toes gently. And Phorpain Gel on the ankle and legs. Surely I must get some sleep tonight after last night’s sleepless nocturnal hours?

Just as I was correcting the multitudinous above passage, there really was a lot of them to do! Arrived and read the above passage after giving the medications. Although she was late, she still agreed to do my feet for me; bless her cotton Socks! She’d seen where the tubes were and got on with looking after me. She’d chatted while doing them and was deserving of some extra treats, which she selected. ♥

HempAh, the feet felt better now! I was not hungry at all? So no cooking; I could concentrate on sleeping. Got the TV on so I could fall asleep when the commercials came on. I took a Hemp capsule; hopefully, that should calm me down, ready for the much-mossed sleep ahead. I thought I had worked out well all that I could do to encourage Sweet Morpheus to visit me.
Got the computer off. Some nuts and bikkies on the Ottoman next to the chair, with a litre of blackcurrant and apple-flavoured spring water.

Now for the challenge! Can I get to sleep?
Will the Thought-Storms arrive?
Will the unneighbourly, superior-natured, snotty, unfriendly, superior-acting standoffish kick-off so late at night again? With his weekend concerts of banging, tap-tapping and thudding again? Or, mayhaps, either or will ruin things for me?
We Shall See. I’ll report back in the morning to finish this blog. Fingers crossed of course.

I’m back.
I weakened and made a meal of sorts after all. A roasted vegetable Risotto with BBQ sauce added a banana and a pot of lemon mousse. The mousse was not eaten. The fries were added, and I dined while watching the 1968, I think, cup final twixt Coventry City and Tottenham Hotspur. Flavour rating: 8.2/10.

I washed the pot, back into the recliner and soon fell asleep… Bliss!

A tongue-in-cheek ode today!

05:00hrs: I woke up, but I wanted to go back to sleep again. I awaited the arrival of the needs doe a wee-wee and or the Porcelain Throne, half-hoping to nod off again. As I lay there, partly hanging off of the ÂŁ300, bought over eight years ago from the charity shop, Harold Haemorrhoids testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner, it dawned on me that I maybe should not be so tired? I think I’d had nearly six hours of shut-eye!
Minutes later, following a very odd, almost musical, extended release of gas from the rear end, I rose, caught my balance and hobbled to the wet room.
No rushing, but I sensed that things mayhaps be about to begin of their own accord evacuation-wise. So got my bottom on the Porcelain Throne. A good job too. A totally different style of product exited. Similar to a single giant Zophobas Morio worm, it was even the same colour. No stink with it this time. No bleeding either. Well, being there, I decided to get the actioned.
Med HydrWhat seems to be the regulation-two minimal nicks shaving. Another lump came off the double molar teeth cleaning. And Little Inchies needed treating.
Then I got the started. Got the sphygmomanometer and did the Blood Pressure.

Not so good again. As for the last couple of days, it was at Hypertension Red One. The body temperature was back up too high again, at 36.5°f.

I made a mug of 99 tea and made a start on the Computing. But had to go to the , for a second visit. Aha! Yet another different evacuation. Bat to the rabbit droppings mode this time. Still no bleeding from anywhere, and there was no pain in passing. There was a more distinctive aroma attached to this second dollop, though.

I meandered into the kitchenette, then the balcony, and took a few photographicalisation of the views that were available. The end of Chestnut Walk car park.

Then a straight ahead picture of the low horizon puffer clouds.

They soon filled the sky later. But the Lumix was not having it again! I know that the mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the ghosts, wraiths, spectres, cacodemons, apparitions, and other grotesqueries that haunt the hallways and lobbies, searching for Inchcock; to curse with bad luck, create ambiguities, abstrucities, perplexities, misfortunes and botherations, to scare, worry and confuse me! But this Lumix is doing my head in! Then I took the last shot to date, of the clouds in the car park.
Arrived, he said when asked that he was not so bad today. That didn’t stop the yawns coming through. He was not in such a rush today. Checked the wrist alarm batteries, and we had a gossip that went down well.

Things started to ape-shit when Richard left! So, the diary will get a bit thin now; detail-wise, sorry.

The computer screen froze

,

Started his tap-tapping, clanging and banging activities again. Not for as long as yesterday, about three or four hours, methinks. But there’s plenty of time for him to get out and buy more and noisier tools and Cocaine and come back and kick off again. Hehehe!

I got on with the Tuesday blog updating. But it was a long hard slog; I was making so many mistakes, even I couldn’t believe it. I spent yonks correcting stuff. No doubt I’ve missed many things. Very frustrating! Well into the afternoon by the time I got it done and posted off.

I went for at least my twelfth wee-wee, just as Herbert started clunking away again.

The landline flashedMy plans were thrashed.
She said they would pick me up in the morning for the Doctors visit at 10:00hrs. I mentioned the Friday booking for the Diabetes session. A momentarily scary silence! We do not have a booking for you this week.
Richard had told Deana for me two weeks ago of the changes made. I suppose I should have checked after last week’s welcome but unexpected lift to Bulwell. The dreaded words… ‘You’ll have to phone us in the morning at 08:30hrs. I don’t know if we can do it until then’ This is going to be fun. I tried again to contact Deana but was diverted. She must be off work ill or on holiday. This struggle to get help is so frustrating.

The fatigue fell, and I gave up. I’ll make a meal, then the evening care will be due to arrive and wake me up again; unless, of course, I don’t fall asleep… No, don’t be silly!

Nosh

Fell asleep

Carer Chloe woke me up and gave me medications.
