0425hrs: Stirred, head full of memories of the dreams spinning around and made some notes scribbled quickly, before they evaporated. 5Fri02

Out of the second-hand £300 rickety recliner and to the porcelain thrown. Hard, painful work in more ways than one.

Coming out of the wet room, a flashing green light near the door caught my eye, and I put the light on in the hall to investigate and photographicalised the culprit up on the wall near the ceiling.

What the heck is it? Not to worry, the light, whatever it symbolises, was slowly flashing green.

Made a cuppa and took a Senna with the medications.

Drank the tea and pondered over the dream notes. Seems I was a German soldier somewhere in Russia. There were three others with me – In a building hiding from thousands of Russian troops with dozens of T34s and Katyusha’s knocking the hell out of the area around us – We had no ammunition left, but made up a bottle of vodka mixed with my Betamethasone ointment? But we were calm and talked among ourselves, amazingly it appeared we heard each other’s voices amidst the cacophony of noise – It was like a comedy really. We were putting our Party Membership cards in envelopes with our resignations, and worried that the mail might not get through?

Then I found myself in a sparsely decorated room with large attractive ladies of all ages and origins coming through one of two doors, laughing, or sneering at me then, going out of the other door? A chap came in eventually, after seemingly hours of the visiting ladies of all sorts of ages and types ended – Told me they had failed to find one that was willing to have a date with me? And the agency will not charge me for the assessment – or something like that?

As I wrote the above from my notes, I thought what good ideas for a comedy sketch? Wish I had the energy, willpower and concentration to write them.

Got out the sphygmomanometer and did the first Health Checks. I looked this up on Google. (sphygmomanometer. 1891, from comb. form of Greek sphygmos “pulse,” from sphyzein “to beat, throb” + -meter. An instrument for measuring blood pressure in the arteries, especially one consisting of a pressure gauge and a rubber cuff that wraps around the upper arm and inflates to constrict the arteries)

Many thanks to Tim Price in America for the word sphygmomanometer! I might not be able to pronounce it, but I can write it. Hehe!

5Fri02aThe first readings of the day for this week seem to be settled and okay? Despite having missed two of the evening doses of my medications, which of course include the Warfarin doses.

Had a dizzy as I made another cuppa, a long one this time. Tsk!

Got the dairy for yesterday finalised and sent off. Started this one off, then did some WordPress reading and commenting.

Went onto Facebook. Realising then, why I was so confused yesterday. It was Easter. No wonder the crowds in Nottingham were so few, no wonder there was L9 buses not turning up, no wonder I thought it was Saturday today. Sad indeed!

TupperThen worked on the next TFZer graphicalisation, and got it finished.

Then began on the next one.

This one is Lona Dean, at her individualised Tupperware Party.

Noticed the serving trolley well stocked with alcoholic beverages?

Hehehe!

Hopes she likes it.

Had a campaign leaflet delivered on behalf of the Tory candidate in respect of the upcoming local Council voting poll. Usual splurge of nothingness, and who believes them anyway… from any party!

I put it to one side so I could ignore it later in comfort.

Carried out the ablutions and medical checks. Little Inchy was bleeding far even less than earlier, so that was good, still a bit tender mind. Haemorrhoid Harold, just a few spots of haemoglobin leaked. Couldn’t even see the burn on the hand now.

Got ready and set off to town to see if I could get a set of headphones to replace the one’s that have started to break up on me.

Good chinwag in the foyer with some residents before catching the bus into town with Mary (Or is it Sheila?). The bus filled up en route.

5Fri04Dropped off the bus and into Victoria Centre and up to the Fruit & Veg Market. Got some more garden peas, a leek and a turnip. Then to the nut stall and got som dark chocolate cashew nuts.

To the end of the mall and down into Tesco. Got a Sourdough loaf, vegetarian hot dog sausages appetising! And astonishingly, another pack of two Fresh Cream Horns jumped into the basket! (Hard to believe I know [Cause this is a lie], Hehe!)

5Fri05Paid up and departed across the road in the rain to the Curry-PC World shop to look at the headphones.

I had to admire the staff in there, they managed not to see me or ignore with every time I began or even thought of approaching one, and they it with style, ease and determination. Once I moved over to the computer section, I was mobbed by staff who seemed to appear suddenly, as if they were in Dr Who or a Star Trek episode! They, of course, lost their adopted artificial fake-phoney smiles immediately on hearing I wanted help with selecting some headphones to suit my needs and I didn’t understand the jargon on the tickets on shelves: “Oh, no, I’m on the Computer side!” Etc.

I departed.

5Fri09Walked up through Trinity Walk and could not resist taking this photographicalisation of one of the new giant eateries, branded as ‘Curious Manor’.

The open sign lit up and not a soul of customer or even prospective patron, inside or out of it.

I wondered if they had got enough chairs and tables to cope with the stampede? Hahaha!

5Fri12bI noticed in the jewellery shop window these two ladies watches and took a photograph to use as a competition to guess the prices on the TFZer site.

Wondered if they were real diamonds.

If I remember of course.

Thought they looked a bit different like?

Wondered into5Fri11 the town centre and down Exchange Walk and had a potter around the M&S store.

I got tempted in the Food Hall again, Tsk! They had some really tiny packs of Chinese Pork Ribs that are usually £4 each at £1.50 cause they only had one day left on the sell by date. So I got one.

Then, the same with the Potato Rostis, 4 for 85p instead of £2.99. That’s tonight’s meal sorted I thought.

5Fri12Out and wondered down to the Argos Store to see if they had any suitable headphones, not that I knew much about them. But if they didn’t have Wifi – Mobile Phone or cordless on the descriptions I should be alright?

But if they didn’t have Wifi – Mobile Phone, Connectivity or Cordless on the descriptions I should be alright?

Looked in the catalogue and selected a set of Sony MDR-XB450AP RRD Over-ear-headphones!

I know this because it is written on the receipt. I managed to fend off the ladies rather insistent request for me to take out a three-year insurance policy on them, as well as she wanting me to become an Argos Fan and sign up with them? She did wrangle my email address out of me, though.

5Fri10I walked back into the Slab Square, feet aching a bit now.

Popped into the Primark Store, but only got a few yards into it. It was like Goose Fair or a Cup Final in there!

Too dangerous for me in my condition. I retreated back out.

5Fri12aI noted a, well I don’t know the word really, milliners perhaps?A shop that did clothes mending sewing and

A shop that did clothes mending sewing and adjusting, stitching. It made me think of TFZer Nancy, so I took this picture hoping to add Nancy to it for a bit of fun later.

Up to Queen Street and caught the L9 bus back to the apartment… on my own. I was the only passenger on it, no one got on en route either! It was like catching a large taxi – apart from the route of course.

Got in and had a wee-wee. Little Inchy had been leaking, but only a tiny bit. Cleaned and Betamethasoned him!

Emptied the bins and took the bags to the chute. Got the oven warming up ready to put the Rostis and Ribs in later.

Made a mug of tea and set about updating this diary. Took the evening medications, a bit early, but I didn’t want to miss any more doses.

Went in to check on the fodder in the oven – by gum the view was beautiful. Not sunny, just calm and nice.

5Fri12c

Got the meal sorted and cooking.

Another dizzy-spell, again a bad one (Two bad ones in the same day, not good that).

Put the computer off and took a St John’s Wort with a glass… well not glass, I don’t have any, a mug of spring water, and the usual medications.

5Fri12dGot the plate filled with a spread of Potato Rostis, Asda vegetarian sausages, beetroots, fresh Garden Peas, Sourdough bread, orange yoghourt and a banana.

I really enjoyed this one.

Had to sort out the pod peas from the stalks, there was probably more stalk than pods! I forgot to ask the lady at the fruit and veg stall where they came from. Egypt would be my guess. Not anything like as sweet as the English, but having been deprived of the flavour for so long, I still liked them. And those Asda veg sausages are good too.

Had a peep at what was available on the TV – Too much, many programmes on different channels at the same time that I fancied seeing. Tsk!

Not that it mattered though, I spend a larger proportion of the next three hour nodded off than awake.

Up for a wee-wee.

Took the plate and cutlery from the meal and put them in to soak overnight, had yet another dizzy (Not a bad one this time, though), and settled into the ‘Even-more-shaky £300 second-hand recliner and was off into the land of nod, almost immediately.

Inchcock – Thursday 13th April 2017

Thursday 13th April 2017

Samoan: 13 Aso Tofi Aperila 2017

Stirred at 0235hrs. Bits of the dreams remained, and I wrote them down straight away.

Little Inchy felt sore and tender, and Roger Reflux was in tandem with Anne Gyna giving me some gip.

As usual, the porcelain throne needed visiting, so I did. The brain seemed to be operating in an Arabesque type swirl. Concentration was challenging. I remembered the washing needed doing again for the big items, and it was the Winwood Centre Social Hour today.

Little Inchy was so tender and almost glowing. But far less bleeding at the moment and Haemorrhoid Harold was the same.

Got the washing bag with the accoutrements and down to the laundry room and got the washer going.4Thur02

Back up to the dwelling and got yesterday’s diary updating started.

Down to move the things into the dryer.

Up and at 0320hrs, down to collect the laundry.

4Thur04I spotted two new signs on the residents’ board from self-elected Obergruppenfureress Penny.

One of the reports from the meeting gave dates for certain things to be started at the flats:

May: Site Compound to be in situ.

June: Bus stop to be moved to the far end of the flats and temporary Winwood hut be built.

July: The old hut to be demolished.

4Thur03

One bit of it caused me some concern, though.

The renaming of the place!

Instead of Winchester Court and Woodthorpe Court, both will be called Winwood Court now. The complex is to be called Windwood Heights!

Which by its very nature, will mean every old person having their address changed, new flat numbers, entailing us all having to inform utility companies, Post Office, banks, tax offices, licencing offices, Council Tax Offices, all companies delivering to you, family, friends, any employers, doctors, home nursing services, home cleaners, HMRC/Inland Revenue, Local council, banks, credit card companies, State Pensions, all insurance providers, private pension providers, Home insurance, Car insurance, Life insurance, Travel insurance, Other insurance, Hire purchase providers, Loans Company, Loyalty cards, Share register, Premium bonds, Water suppliers, Landline, TV Licence, Digital TV, Broadband suppliers, Mobile phone, DVLA, Vehicle registration, Breakdown cover, Car finance (if applicable), Doctors, Dentist, Optician, Vet, Film/TV rental, Gym/Sports clubs, Newsagents, Chemist, Magazine subscriptions, Library, Solicitor, Trade unions/Professional bodies, Schools, Pet micro-chipping services, Milkman, Window cleaner, Charities you support, Electoral Commission, Audiologist, Prepaid Funeral supplier… I’m all confused with the banking farce and am not looking forward to sorting all these out in the least!

Well, thanks for getting them to change the address for us, Penny! Good thinking. I bet the previous tenants up in heaven will be well proud. Humph! Christ, we have enough problems with deliveries as it is.

4Thur05Took this photographicalisation out of the foyer doors, as I collected the washing.

Up again and into the flat. Kettle on and took the morning medications, realising I’d missed last nights dosages again! Getting mad it myself now!

Finished Wednesday’s diary and started on this one.

4Thur06It had turned into almost pink skies as the daylight dawned.

Concerned over the renaming of the flats and the apparent complications this will bring for me, my spirits sank a bit. No one to help, I know I’m going to get all stressed and panicky when the time comes.

I thought about if it would be easier to move to another flat somewhere else, but the banal thought of that soon faded.

Did some WordPressing for a while.

Oh, dear!

4Thur07

It appears I had left the potatoes boiling on high for an hour or two? Eventually smelt the rather appealing aroma of singed fodder wafting into the front room!

I went into the kitchen, adopted panic mode and set about sorting out the mess. The windows were soaking wet, top of the stove burnt, had to prize the potatoes out of the bone dry red-hot pan, burning my fingers as I did. Opened the window, closed the door to keep the smoke away from the smoke alarm in the hall. Juggled with the spuds as I extracted them from the saucepan and put it in to soak. Cleaned the cooker, wiped the windows and the ledge. Burnt my hand next while cleaning the stove, I’d not turned off the heat to the ring!

Managed to get the ring sort of cleaned a bit. Put the cloth in a bowl to soak in liquid and bleach to soak for a few weeks in the hope of saving them, the saucepan is beyond salvation.

Ate four of the potatoes, they were delicious!

Hey-hoed, to myself, made a mug of tea and started updating this diary.

A bit of artwork started, then it was time to get the ablutions tended to earlier than usual because I knew I had the fungal lesion bleeding to spend more time on sorting. And I was right. A messy, painful session sorting Little Inchy out seemed to have worked, as the swelling went down almost as soon as I’d finished doing it. A good shave and teeth cleaning session and under the shower, using the lemon fragranced soap. Creamed the areas needing attention and put some antiseptic cream on the burnt finger and hand. Put some oil in the ear-holes.

Got the raffle prizes and nibbles in the bag and set off. The lifts seemed to struggle to get to the twelfth floor, one even came up passing me to the fifteenth floor and missed me off again on the way down! Lucky devil I am! So I walked down the stairs.

Arrived in the Social Hut and greeted about 18 folks, one even replied to me. Sat down and got the crossword book out, as the hearing aids not working properly made hard work trying to talk to anyone who was not right next to me.

BJ arrived, threw a ‘Hello’ at me and didn’t speak to me again until after the meeting, and only then when after I approached him? He forced himself to tell me that he would pick me up for the Papplewick visit… and I stopped him there because it was obvious that there was no eagerness or friendliness in his voice; and told him I could not go cause of the bleeding starting again. This cheered him up. No idea what I’ve done to upset him. Leaving him happier is reward enough for me. It can be a burden having a very high EQ.

Trotted (Not the right word really, Hehe!) down the hill and to the bank in vain unsuccessful attempt to see if the new bank account had been transferred yet. When I eventually got to the counter, at least the same Gruppenfureress that spoke to me on Monday was serving. The glass partition was thick and opaque. I had some bother hearing what the woman was saying. After a long time and a few different progress stories; No it isn’t Working – IT should be working – IT is working, but the other bank has not transferred anything yet.I gleaned that the last one was supposedly the right one.

I gleaned that the last one was supposedly the right one. Then I thought the gal said: “The manager will call the old bank to see what is happening” and assumed she was going to do it now. Oh no! Made a fool of myself by asking if I should stand at the back while she does it. I heard her next sentence as she barked out alright though: “She is not doing now, she’ll do it when she finds time later!”

Timidly I inquired of how I shall know the situation. “She’ll call you!” I wasn’t brave enough to say that she and the previous manager have kept saying this over the three months I’d been trying to get the 7-day guaranteed procedure done!”

She did, however, let me pay a cheque in that I’d received from the Government for their overcharging me for the TV licencing cock-up. Kind of them!

Feeling downtrodden, apathetic and miserable, I wandered up the hill in the hopes that one of the one-an-hour buses that go up the hill might be due. A bit of luck with this, one was due in five minutes.

Jim and Roy from the flats were at the stop, and we had a chinwagging session.

They both left me standing when we got back to the apartments, as expected with the high winds a-blowing.

When I got in the foyer, there was Olive sat waiting for her family to take her out. I told her what had occurred with the bank and she told me off for not making a fuss and hassling them more. Which was good, it’s alway good when Olive tells me off, this indicated that she if not too bad. When she is feeling really poorly, she tends not to have a go at me so much you see!

Up to the flat and updated this diary again.4Thur08

A sudden hunger overcame me. So I got the meal prepared. Got some roast potatoes into the oven, with the intention to of adding some potato waffles to it later, so they hopefully are cooked at the same time. And having the last of the burnt boiled potatoes with it. Cheese portions, pork and mini pickle pies, beetroot, boiled egg, some ordinary mushrooms and wild Borowiki mushrooms, Pork & Mushroom Pate followed by a pot of the Special Offer bliss lemon yoghourt. That’s the plan anyway. I’m having extra potatoes because I forgot to get the bread earlier when I was getting depressed at the bank.

Z02Did some more work on the next TFZer graphicalisation.

Which I finally got finished and onto starting another one.

Added the waffles to the roast potatoes in the oven.

Nervous of letting them overcook again, I stayed in the kitchen and had a look through TV magazine choosing some decent programmes to watch.

4Thur10What a feast it turned out as well. Roast potatoes (Excellent), Pork & Mushroom Pate (Excellent), Waffles (Okay), Cheese portions (Excellent), Pork & Pickle Mini Pies (Excellent), Mushrooms exotic (Crap!), The self Burnt boiled potatoes (Excellent), beetroot (Excellent), regular mushrooms (Okay), Lemon yoghourt with extra lemon juice poured onto it (Excellent).

Too much fodder I know, but I didn’t have any bread with it, and it was amazingly tasty!

Intermittent periods of watch TV, sleep, wake, cough and confusion repeatedly followed.

Inchcock – Wednesday 12th April 2017

4Thur01

Wednesday 12th April 2017

Scottish Gaelic: Diciadain 12 Giblean, 2017

Woke around 0235hrs: Out of the fragile wobbly £300 second-hand recliner and death-defying chair. To the porcelain throne. Cleaned up Little Inchy who’d been bleeding via his newly opened fungal lesion. (Sounds bad that dunnit? Hehe!)

Haemorrhoid Harold was supporting Little Inchy by bleeding away merrily as well. I can say without fear of being wrong, it’s going to be a right bleeding day today! Haha!

The left arm was itchy all over the lower part. No scratches marks or bruises?

Got the clothes in the big blue bag ready to take down to the laundry room. A lot to go, far too much to do in one go, so I selected the body clothing to do this morning and hope I get up early enough tomorrow to do the rest (Although if things go well today, I might try to get the others, towels, jammies etc. done later, if I can get a machine that is not in use).

Down to the laundry room and got the washer going.

Up to the flat and got started on finishing off yesterday’s diary.

30 minutes
later, down to move the clothing into the dryer. Some naughty personage had not cleaned the filter, so I did.

Again, up to the apartment. Finished the diary and posted it. Started this one off.

Brew, co3Wed01mputer diary work.

Down to collect the clothes.

The machine informed me that it had 0.02 hours left to run? A minute later it stopped and I got out and folded clothing, there did not seem to be so much of it as when I put it in the dryer?

3Wed03Up for a final time, put the togs away and made a brew.

Had to stop and nip to the wetroom in response to that now regular and dreadfully concerning sensation of wet warmth and pain from the lower regions, front and rear.

Both Harold and Little Inchy had leaked again. Cleaned things up and put the undies in soak, and put on a pair of the awfully embarrassing Protection & Comfort pants. (I’m a bit nervous about my having any dizzies or accifaupas that need medical persons to attend to me with wearing these?) They cause me some concern when having to wear them. Fair enough, they protect me well from the blood spreading and ruining other clothing I’m wearing or any seating I might be sat upon from the blood flow – but they are so tight and bulky, they often squash things a bit, and this forces more fluids out of the lesion? I must phone and email the clinic about this happening again, cause I don’t think they will be wanting to do the grafting operation now.

3Wed06I got the medications out ready and did the first daily health check of the day.

Took the medications and carried out the other procedures as per instructions.

Noticed the left arm was still itching madly away?

Did the first health check of the day.

3Wed08a

Wondered why the weight had not gone down a bit. I’d had a decentish hobble around Monday and yesterday. The water retention in the feet and legs had gone down, I’d not had a big meal yesterday, lost a lot of blood… I thought these things would have lowered my weight? Hey-ho! The pulse was a bit higher than normal. I’ll do a search on the web later to see what the normal is for a 70-year-old handsome, tall, popular, muscular, intelligent, attractive to women but blessed with a miniature weapon male should be. (I am a fool, but a laugh is essential now and then – innit? Haha!) 2Tue18

Better do it now, with my memory like…

60>100 it says.

No problems then.

I was not feeling very adroit today. And the odd aposiopesis interrupted my thoughts?

3Wed05The urge came for me to take a photograph of the morning view from the kitchen window.

Then realised I’d taken all of the photos with the old camera.

Still, they’ll do. Liked this one, it sort of represented my state of mind at the time.

Dark, shadowy, murky and unclear. Hehehe!

Got the cleaners nibble bag ready.

0553hrs: Got an email from Morrison’s telling me the fodder was on the way. So I sorted through the other emails and did some WordPressing.

Lost the Facebook connection? All other sites available?

3Wed08Did some WordPressing.Obergruppenfurheresses

The food delivery arrived: Put it away.

Got the bread and nibbles for the flat complex Obergruppenfureresses and took them to the Winwood Community Shed. Handed them to Deana and told her of Whoopsidedangleplop at the camera store yesterday. I might as well have stopped short of the centre and told the story to a nearby woodpigeon up in the tree, I’d have got more response from that. Still, we had a laugh and giggle.

Back to the apartment, Facebook was still not working and the two cleaner gals arrived shortly afterwards. Had a chinwag and laugh with them and they did me some cleaning of sorts. How they can clean a wetroom without moving a cloth that I’d left dropped on the floor defeated me. Unless she replaced it after cleaning underneath it… the floor was not wet after they had finished?

I asked them if they could come earlier on the next visit so I could get to the free Fish & Chip meal with the other tenants. They said they would. Gave them their bag of nibbles and Easter Eggs and off they went.

Called Olive to see if I could visit and gained permission. Went around to see her, got told off a few times, but that is good, it shows Olive is feeling a bit better, only when she really poorly does I escape the tongue-lashings. Gave her the chocolates, Easter eggs and a kiss, and returned to the suddenly depressing for some reason now flat.

Facebook still down.

3Wed10

Got the fodder prepared. My first effort at making some sage & onion stuffing

My first effort at making some sage & onion stuffing mixed it well and laid it flat in a pan and into the oven for half an hour, nice and crispy on the outside.

It all went down nicely.

Checked on Little inchy and the bleeding was far less than earlier, gently cleaned things up and re-creamed the reddening sore lesion.

Tried the DVD on the TV again, but could not get it to work.

Forgot to take the evening medications, although I didn’t actually realise this at the time, but when getting the morning medications out I noticed tonight’s dose pot was full. (That was a bit of messy statement won’t it?)

Settled to watch the TV, managing to get through Law & Order and most of the Heartbeat before I was off into the land of nod. Nice change that should have been, unfortunately, I kept waking and nodding for hours. No idea when I eventually got off proper but woke with a start at 0225hrs.

Inchcock – Tuesday 11th April 2017: Dizzies, Whoopsiedangleplops, bleeding and Accifaupas galore. Humph!

Tuesday 11th April 2017

Lithuanian: Antradienis 11-asis balandžio 2017

0404hrs: Woke, annoyed I could not recall the dreams, only that they were not nice.

Out of the nervous making rattling shuddering unstable £300 second-hand recliner. Kettle on. To the porcelain throne, painful and bloody passing again.

Made a mug of tea and took the morning medications.

Glad to see that I had left a note on the TV to remind me of the camera lesson at the  Jessops store today.

Carried out the Health Checks, looking fine this time: Sys 145 – Dia 75 – Pulse 79 -Temperature 36.6 – Weight 14.8.

The computer activated and finalised yesterday’s diary and posted it.

Made a start on this one.

Did some Facebooking.

Got the ablutionisationing done and took the rubbish bags to the chute, and had time to update this a bit and do a little WordPressing before I had to go down to get the bus into town.

Jolly good chinwag with some of the other tenants in the lobby before we all tripped off to the bus stop.

I was the only one going on the town bus. Got the crossword book out, the Daily Sun one, which should have been easier for me to do, but the print is so small, thought I might have a look in the cheap book shop later to see if they any in bigger print in stock.

Got off the bus and walked over the road and went into Boot’s to see if they had any ear wax remover. This, because one hearing aid tube had perished. I was struggling to hear things and knew I had excessive wax, which I usually use the Olive oil to treat, but had foolishly missed doing so for a couple of days, and thought Boot’s remover would do the job quicker. Anway I thought, I’m going up to the Audio Centre after the camera lesson and can get new tubes and batteries. Then: Thud, it hit me! Another Whoopisedangleplop! I’d forgotten to take the Authorising Book with me – Gnaperplnkdam! So I could not get the things today!

Anyway, I investigated the supply and costs of the Eye Spray, thinking this might help with the difficulties I’m having reading the subtitles and programme details on the TV. The cheapest one was £18.99 for a 10ml spray. Too much! I did get an ear-wax remover though at £3.89.

Out of the Boot’s store and into Victoria Shopping (Mall) Centre and in the Market for a wander around, cause I2Tue001a had a plenty of time before the tutoring session.

Noted that they were erecting a nibbling for the juniors area.

Bet this is going to be mayhem later?

Hehehe!

2Tue03Up the escalator and took this photo of the hanging in the air mannequins.

The market was not very busy again, but I espied some fresh pod peas on sale! Hurrah!

I asked the lady for a pound, and she asked if I was sure? Yes, I replied.

I realised what she meant when she asked me for £2.50! That’s, USD $3.20 – Aus $ 4.15 – Can $ 4.18 a pound! Blimus, worra price!

2Tue04

Limped out of the mall over the walkway above Upper Parliament Street taking this photographicalisation en route.

Down and into the Pound Shop and had a wander around.

Got some nibbles for the Social Hour on Thursday and some Dettol Orange scented spray.

The feet were getting painful, but I knew not why?

Meandered to the Jessop Camera Shop and eventually, an assistant asked what I wanted. Told her about the lesson and she said the man would be with me shortly, which he was. The bad news? The room was up three flights of stairs! The tootsies suffered, and Anne Gyna introduced herself into the equation. Tsk!

I must have looked poorly, because after five minutes the young chap asked if I was alright, and I wasn’t. He kindly offered to change the lesson to another day at no extra cost. Which was very welcome being as I apparently looked very pale he said, offering to call an ambulance. I thanked him and took him up on a new date when I should have the hearing aids sorted, and that would make things easier for me.

Within minutes of hobbling out of the store, I felt a lot better2Tue09a in myself. I wandered into a Sports Direct Shop, didn’t realise until I got in that it was for the younger generation, however, I did see they had some what they called, Everlast Crew Sweat thingamabobs on sale at 2 for £10.

They looked warm and comfortable, and they had them in XL too, so I invested in a couple.

It took that long at the pay-point I missed the bus back to the flats.as

So I took a painful hobble around the City Centre, to kill time until the next bus was due in.

2Tue10

On to Long Row, listened to some Street Artist banging out rubbish music and took the time to appreciate Nottingham’s most famous architect, Watson Fothergill.

I popped into the store in his building and bought a TV magazine for next week.

2Tue07 Fifteen minutes to go until the bus was due, I went into The Works bookshop and had a look around for some bigger print crossword books.

Managed to find some as well, and they were a good price… mind you the one’s I bought three months ago from there were too…

But can I find them? No!

2Tue11Up Queen Street and to the bus stop. A bit of a kerfuffle here today. The bus stop is shared between three routes, and it is finely tuned to handle them all, so if anyone is late, they are all late because those behind cannot pull up to pick passengers and have to go around the block again. Although some drivers go passed them, not picking them up. Hehe! The L9 did today though he was well late by the time he pulled off. I am amazed at how they cope with it all.

Caught the bus, had to go out into the middle of the road along with other passengers, but we got it. Had a go at the old small print crosswords en route.

Back at the flats, an urgent, mark one, Defcon two wee-wee was tended to. Hahaha!

Got the potatoes boiling in the saucepan. Put the shirts and other things away and found the written note the Jessop’s lad had done for me with the date and time of the 2Tue09rearranged lesson on it… eventually. I thought it was in the bag, but no.

Finally, I found it in the coat pocket.

Recorded it in the Google Calendar.

Got this diary updated, made a mug of tea and took the evening medications, passed the wind and just made it to the porcelain throne in time… Phew! But far much worse was found… Little Inchy had been bleeding away, and the lesion was torn open as bad as it ever has been! I think this might put an end to the operation plans now? The cleansing and Betamethasone cream was applied, but I had to do it all again a few minutes later.

More extra washing to do now! Must get the mass of laundry done in the morning.

2Tue14Carried on Chronicalisationing, then got the meal prepared.

Despite the aches and pains, bleeding Little Inchy and a dizzy spell or two, I enjoyed the meal.

So tired and drained, I only stayed awake for the first part of Heartbeat, going off into the dream-world at the first commercial break!

What a day, Humph!

Inchcock – Monday 10th April 2017: Hectic, wore myself out. Hehe!

1Mon01

Monday 10th April 2017

Maltese: It-tnejn April 10, 2017

Struggle as I might have, I could just not get to sleep last night! Gone 0300hrs before I got off – then I woke up at 0540hrs, realising that the food delivery was due twixt 0600>0700hrs, and I was in need of the utilisation of the porcelain throne urgently!

Getting out of the £300 second-hand recliner I knocked over the part-drank mug of orange juice, swore and made my way to the wetroom. Haemorrhoid Harold bled a lot, and it was a painful effort, considered as to whether or not to take a Senna?

Doing the ablutions, the delivery arrived. Tsk! Only a small one, this time, put the stuff away and got the computer going and finished yesterday’s diary off.

1Mon03Made a cuppa that went cold and did the graphics for this header, then checked the emails.

The different coloured sky this morning as the moon faded, was nice.

Started this post going, and realised I’d not taken the morning medications or done the health checks yet.

So I took them and a Senna too. (Now watch me get caught out when I hobble out to do the jobs… Oh Dear? Hehe!)

1Mon057Sun02bChecked the Google Diary for the things that needed doing today.

Humph! Don’t think I’ll get all of these done?

Wrote the list down on paper and put it in my pocket so as not to forget them when I do get out.

At least I can forget the prescription collecting, cause I did that on Saturday morning.

So I made a mug of tea and got the checks carried out.

1Mon06

I think they look okay now. A few odd day rises, and the weight is a bit concerning, especially as the fluid retention seems to have gone done a bit in the legs and a lot in the feet, the weight hasn’t? Otherwise, all looks good?

1Mon08

The weather forecast for today was so much colder than yesterday.

I’ll make sure I put my jumper and a warm hat on methinks.

Got some more emails come in: The Clinic has changed the appointment this week and gave me the operation date, 0730hrs Wed 13th July at the clinic, not in the hospital. Told me what to eat and not eat and to take in with me (Medications, paperwork), estimated to take only two hours, four hours observation then all being well I would be going home. Letter to follow. Excellent! No name on the email itself it must be a standard print-out.

Did some WordPressing and then some Facebooking. Posted the latest TFZer graphic.

00Nature

Readied myself for the trip out to the bank first I think, then get Norman’s things. Now I have fewer tasks to carry out!

Rang Olive to see if it was alright for me to call on her on my way out, it was, so I did.

We had a jolly good chinwag for a good while. Kissed and I departed.

1Mon09Walked down to Chestnut Walk and Winchester Hill, where I took this shot of some plants on the roadside. To the bank first. Because I had not taken the bank pin number with me, they could not tell me if the account had been activated?

To the bank first. Because I had not taken the bank pin number with me, they could not tell me if the account had been activated?

Depressed, I left and went to the Continental Food Store. Got a loaf, jar of mushrooms and some cooked belly pork with herbs.

Hobbled into Carrington and filled a prescription form in at the doctor’s surgery for someCodeine Phosphate tablets.

Then to the shop to get Norman’s bits of fodder.

Limped back into Sherwood and caught the bus up back to the flats.

Chinwag on the bus with other tenants.

1Mon10Dropped the fish fingers and bread off at Norman’s flat. He thanked me and said he’s got the cleaners coming today, so no need for me to do any cleaning for him. He was in fine form, and this cheered me up.

To my apartment and found a book had been delivered. It was from the TFZ’s Andy in Canada, and much appreciated.

CorelDraw opened and started the next graphicationalisticalisation. (A cough!)

13.04.17

Hours later, I’d got it finished.

Got some oven chips heating up on the stove. Did the evening ablutions.

A fabulous selection of programmes I wanted to watch on the goggle-box picked out.

2Tue001aMade the herb pork sandwiches.

Got the oven chips out… and put some antiseptic cream on the newly burnt to the pattern of an oven rack shaped scar on the back of the right hand!

Hehehe! Tsk!

Served the meal up.

2Tue03The oven chips, pork sarnies, seasoned baked beans and a pot of Greek Style yoghourt with added honey.

Excellent tasting fodder for this Monday night!

Rating it 9.43/10.

Got the pots into the sink in soak and nipped to the porcelain, somehow staying awake! One again, suddenly so tired.

Law & Order watched on the box, with the promise of the Underground Documentary, The Interceptors and another Interceptor programme on a different channel to watch and relish.

Only got as far as the first section of Law & Order and nodded off at the first set of commercials came on.

Spent hours waking and watching a few minutes of unknown programmes and repeating it again and again. Gave up around 2200hrs. Turned the box off and nodded into a dream filled kip that lasted until gone 0400hrs! Bliss!

Inchcock – Sunday 9th April 2017: Incorporating his hobble to see the Tropical Gardens!

7Sun04

Sunday 9th April 2017

Polish: Niedziela 09 Kwietnia 2017

Terrible night again, kept dreaming and waking, nodding off again, dreaming and waking… Oh dear! The irritating thing is I cannot recall any of the dreams and failed to make any notes on the pad.

0435hrs: Felt a bit nippy this morning. The stomach rumbled with a painful stab or two that informed me of the urgency to disentangle myself from the £300 second-hand recliner and make for the porcelain throne… Damn it! I didn’t make it in time on this occasion! Tripping over the picker-upper stick on the way didn’t help.

Like yesterday, it flowed freely and had some blood in it this morning. Then, as I started to cleanse and sort things out, as I put the clothing in a bucket to soak and disinfect, I realised the hot water was cold!

Yes, I checked in the kitchen and found I’d left the hot water tap running last night in the sink once more! Luckily it was still only around 0500hrs so the water should heat up a bit before it stops for the day. Boiled a few kettles of water to soak the clothes in.

7Sun01Realised also, that I’d left the kitchen window open – that explained why it felt a bit nippy earlier. Huh!

Got the medications taken with a cuppa and took the drugs.

A bit concerned about the first readings of the day.

7Sun02a

7Sun03Might be due to the hassle I’ve been having so far?Still, the weight had gone down a bit.

Still, the weight had gone down a decent amount.bit.

I got the computer going and finished the Saturday diary off, then started this one off.

The tea had gone cold, so I went to make another one. Tested the hot water while in there and it was heating up nicely. Phew!

I felt that warm wet sensation again. Another cleaning and the medicating session had to be done. The tea went cold again.

7Sun04aPut the kettle on. And had a feeling-sorry-for-myself moment as I viewed the scenery outside.

Then had a feeling-sorry-for-myself moment as I saw the scene outside, while the tummy rumbled, Anne Gyna let me know she was there and Duodenal Daniel started off giving me some jip!

It didn’t last long, though. As I returned the medications to their drawer, I saw that last night’s dosage pot was still full of the tablets – I’d missed taking them! What a clot! I’m getting worse and don’t know where to get help from, Humph! Hehe!

Mustn’t complain though, I’m lucky to be here still. I cheered up a bit and decided to stay in today.

7Sun02bAnd see how he is, and get this WordPressing finished and did some graphics and Facebooking. No buses anyway on a Sunday.

Checked the Google Calendar and found a reminder that Monday is going to be a rather busy day.

I don’t have to collect the prescriptions now though, having fetched them yesterday.

Not looking forward to tomorrow much.

Might not have time to do the diary at all, so I may leave it and do two on the next day when there will be far fewer tasks to be completed?

Got an email from Sister Jane.

Replied and hoped to get out to see her soon.

I warned her of the dreadfully bland tasteless Mature (Huh!) Manchego lambs cheese I got from Lidl.

Ga6Sat12wd it was awful.

Like paper-mashie with plastic! Tim Price told me that this type of cheese was appetising, apparently, Lidl had bought in the crap brand.

The tummy continues to rumble grumble and twinge. Anne Gyna has eased off, but Duodenal Daniel was persistent. Hate days like this.

Did some Facebooking. Got graphic started and finished for the TFZers.

Girls01c

Amazed it only took me four hours from start to posting it off.

Got myself ready for the ablutionisationing session.

Only one cut in the shaving process, no bleeding gums or teeth, however, Little Inchy was sore and Haemorrhoid Harold bled a bit, but far less than earlier. Again, no complaints from me.

Called Olive to see if I could call on her, but no answer. I think I had a distant memory of her telling me she was going out with the family today though.

Got the jars in the bag and set off down to the foyer.

Tenant Janie was there waiting for a lift and I had a chat with her, cause she had not bee to any meetings for a while. Seems they had changed her medication doses and it didn’t suit her, poor gal.

7Sun04aHobbled off down Chestnut Walk to deposit the jars in the bottle bank bin.

Back to the flats turned left and up into the beloved Copse.

Lovely morning as I set off walking up through it, but Anne Gyna soon let me know she was there.

7Sun4bTsk!

To the top and right into Woodthorpe Grange Park.

As I passed the kiddies park I took a photo of the flats.

Olive’s is located on the left corner four floors down.

Wandered off up and through the park. With the weather being so fine it had brought out many families and dogs walking their owners, and I got a lot of pleasure (A touch of jealousy too, Hehe) just by watching them enjoy themselves.

7Sun4d

I waddled through the garden section and up into the Tropical House.

I loved this last time I went a while ago now, and again I did so.

Just out of site to the right of this path I took on entering the indoor garden, I found they had altered the fish pond and added another feeding water pond next to it.

7Sun4c

I can’t remember if the model of the elephant was there last time, but looked like it was either new or had been cleaned up.

7Sun05Had a chinwag to a lady and gentleman who were sat on the rest bench at the end.

Well, a chat with the lady, the poor bloke looked awfully down and depressed, poor soul.

She asked if I knew what the model animal was supposed to represent behind where she was sat. I said I’ll take a photographicalisation of it and if I find out, I’ll return and write it on the sign near it.

She laughed and he sneered. The chap was obviously in pain, I think.

7Sun05aSaid my farewells and turned at the end and back down the other side, where I managed to get another photograph of the pond, this time with the feeder one in the shot.

Just missed getting the two people I’d been speaking to it, but got the end of the bench. Hehehe!

Departed the lovely warm garden and made my way to have a look in the PArk’s Flower Shop. Not the foggiest idea what I was looking at plant-wise, but had the idea of asking someone if they had any indoor plants that are hard to kill-off. But they were so busy, I just had a wander around and left.

7Sun06Anne Gyna was getting more irritable with me the longer I plodded on, so decided to have a nip (Or hobble, might be a better word here, Haha!) around the edge planting and then cut through back towards the apartments.

The beautiful and tallest tree I passed demanded photographicalisationing from me.

So I did. Glad I caught mother and daughter in it, I didn’t mean to, but Mum seemed so happy at getting out and about, it pleased me that she did. I knew she was happy, cause my I.Q. told me.

7Sun06a

As I wandered around the thicket I spotted these whatever-they-are plants, with the flower heads seemingly growing upside down. Gorgeous, they were.

I foolishly let myself hobble down the hill into another thicket. (I say foolishly because then, I have to climb back up the hill and knew Anne Gyna was not going to be pleased with this – and I was right, Humph!)

7Sun06eI went down to get a closer look at this bit of growth because I thought I’d spotted a little squirrel in it.

I waited for ages in case it came out or showed itself again.

It did eventually, but by the time it did, I had been distracted by watching some Wood Pigeons that were too far off to photograph 7Sun06bwhen the squirrel did appear once again and was too slow to catch it as it ran off. Still, I got a good one of the greenery?

As I turned around and climbed the little hill to the pathway back into the park, I caught this Horrible Herbert of a Footpath Cyclist coming out of the park and nearly colliding with a young couple strolling along. Humph!

7Sun06c

Hobbling rather painfully now, I regretted my decision to try and take a photograph of the squirrel down the hill.

Limped back up the hill and along to where the flats are, and down the grass to the flats.

Far busier on the kiddies park and cafe area now than when I set out. Perhaps the pubs are closed? Hehe!

Managed to get to the flats easier than I thought I might. Had an unpleasant dizzy spell in the lift going up, but all okay by the time I got into the diminutive dwelling.

A heavy duty session on the porcelain throne went well, very well, no bleeding whatsoever. And Anne Gyna calmed down nicely.

Had a rinse and got the potatoes in the saucepan on a low heat.

Made a cuppa and took the midday medications.

A spell on Facebooking then got on with updating this diary. So glad I took the photographs now, I love it when they come out alright. It took hours to get the diary how I wanted it to.

Time for the evening tablets and lotions now. Tsk! I took them a little earlier than I usually do, bearing in mind I missed last nights dosages, I thought it best to.

So, as I made anothe7Sun07r mug of tea, I notice a young couple far down below, shoes off and having a mini picnic and getting the sun. Don’t blame them.

I tried to take a good picture of them through the glass in the windows but had to take several efforts before I got the decentish one here on the left.

The boiling potatoes were certainly overcooked (Understatement there, Hehe!) a bit. When I tried them they fell to bits. This called for a change of meal plans. So I poured a bit of Soy sauce into the cracks and tried to get them back into a shape resembling potatoes and put them in the oven to firm up and brown off, fingers crossed.

The fatigues came over me even earlier tonight. Ah, the hobble in the park I suspect as being the reason?

There can be no doubt about it, my Métier, stroke forte is defeat. Guaranteed and utter failure! Humph!

Not with a lot of hope or expectancy of success, I scrutinised the TV paper to see if there was anything worth trying to stay awake to watch.

Went to check the spuds and add some vegetarian sausages to them. Hard to believe I know, but I burnt the back of my hand doing this. Such a shock it was, me having an Accifauxpa? I think I might have said,  “Oh, my word!” WPlie

7Sun05Enjoyed the fodder. Rated it at 9.2/10

The TV was not good – but could I fall asleep? No!

Well into the morning before I got off into the land of nod.

Humph!

Inchcock: Saturday 8th April 2017

6Sat01a

Saturday 8th April 2017

Tamil: சனிக்கிழமை 8 ஏப்ரல் 2017

Not a lot of sleep again. Woke at 0310hrs annoyed at not recalling anything about the dreams this time at all, but knew I’d been having them?

As I extracted myself from the wobbly £300 second-hand recliner, there were no dizzies, the water retention seemed to be going down, but the swollen stomach was still wobbling about with increased weight and mass as I made my way to the porcelain room for a heavy duty session? It came freely, very freely. I was wondering when it would stop, Tsk!

Did the health checks and the weight, despite the fluid retention seemingly going down, was a record high for this year!

6Sat01b

The other readings seemed to be okay though.6Sat01

Sorted the medication pots for the coming week.

Nearly out of 30g Codeine Phosphates, but looking at the Google Calendar, I noticed I have to collect the prescriptions from the Chemist in Carrington on Monday.

6Sat02

Or, I might go down later today if the legs are okay to retrieve them, as Monday appears to be going to be a helluva busy day for me, according to the reminders!

I can get some bread at the same time from the Continental Food Store perhaps.

Got the computer going and finished the Friday diary off and got it posted.

Did some WordPressing.

IcesThen onto Facebooking.

Then made a start on a new graphic. Patricia Kropf and Meritt Hutton with their new business venture? Hehe!

Next, I carried out the ablutions, jolly good scrub-up and ready to go out on the hobble to the chemist.

Took the black bags with me and dropped them down the chute, into the lift for a shuddery ride down to the foyer. Met a gal from the 13th floor and had a chinwag. She told me the lift had been reported.

On the limp up Chestnut Walk, I counted 66 markings on the road, pavements and grass. Civil engineers code?

6Sat03

They were in red, blue, white and yellow, sprayed on. Looks like we have a bit of digging to contend me before the workers start doing the upgrade to the flats? Wonder what they mean?

Down Winchester Street and onto Mansfield Road and left, up the hill towards Carrington.

Called into the Continental Food Store and got a loaf and some of their Rolled cooked belly pork with herbs and garlic. The larger lady was serving today, she is less severe than the smaller one, and I like her.

6Sat05Near the top of the hill, before going over it and down into Carrington, I stopped and turned to take a picture of where I’d walked along the road so far. And caught this naughty Pavement Cyclist who came onto the road at the pelican lights when they were on red and nearly hit lady crossing (Out of picture), then he turned right and up the hill on the road.

Plodded on over the hill and down into Carrington proper and crossed the pelican lights there near to the Co-op.

Where I came across this piece of Nottingham Pavement Art:

6Sat06It was outside the chip shop, called Pancho’s Fish Restuarant – Burgers, Pizzas & Kebabs.N

I was not surprised in the slightest!N

It reminded me of the few times I’d used this eatery in years gone by when I lived nearby. Something to complain about every time I used it. Mind you, his sausages in batter were alway okay, just the chips, chicken, fish and peas that 6Sat10awere horrible! Hehe! Looks like not much has changed?

Walked down to the chemist shop and got the prescriptions.

Then further down the road and onto Hucknall Road to catch a bus into Bulwell. I’d forgotten it was the weekend and the next bus was not due for 55 minutes. So I changed the plans and called into the Lidl store (When will I ever learn!) I spent a long time wandering around and ended up getting some treats. Extra Strong Danish Blue Cheese, Mushroom Tortelloni, Matured for six months Manchego Cheese (Never heard of it before?) It is sheep’s cheese, hope I like it, a block of West Country Vintage Cheddar and some Greek Style plain yoghourt I can add honey or lemon curd to later.

6Sat04With the big bag of medications and the other things, I was struggling a bit when I left the store, so caught a bus back into Sherwood.

Got off and limped up the road and across the pelican lights to the other side, really had to fight with the legs to get up to the bus top.

Where a bit of luck (Yes, it can happen to me, Hehe!) and as got to it, a 40 bus arrived that took me up Winchester Street. So glad it did, because the next one was an hour later and I’d have been forced into walking all the way up back to the flats.

6Sat07

Back at the apartments, I noticed there must have been hundreds of the surveyor’s signs all over.

Tinkled into the porcelain got the kettle on and unloaded the purchases.

The biggest one, the medications I sorted first into their dedicated drawer.

Then distributed the fodder in various 6Sat07alocations.

Looking forward to trying out the new cheeses with some boiled then roasted seasoned potatoes.

I got one of the antacid bottles out to have a swig…

Whoopsiedangleplop number two of the day occurred Humph!: I dropped the bottle, made of glass of course. Heck of a job cleaning it all up. Still, the legs were not as bad as yesterday, so the bending to get the broken glass was not too bad, and I didn’t cut myself anywhere. Getting the spilt medicine off the floor, sink and my trousers were the hardest tasks! The sink is till smeared with it and the trousers will have to go in the washer! Tsk!

Made another brew and got the computer on to update this tosh.

6Sat11Got the nosh sorted and served up.

At this stage, I feel, in the cause of the advancement of taste-buds and folk who enjoy their food, a particular obligationalistical duty. To offer a warning of perhaps, the most tasteless, cardboard textured imitation plastic cheese that I was foolish enough to be tempted to buy and try to eat when I got home.

6Sat12From the Lidl store in Carrington.

Mature Manchego Cheese – not the wording, Mature!

Bland is too weak a word to describe this crap cheese!

It is now in the bin, but I fear for any rats that might nibble at it in the refuse bins. They might as well nibble on newspapers if they want any flavour or taste!

Washed up and settled to watch three films that followed each other on the TV.

Fell asleep within ten minutes of the first one starting. Woke up half an hour into the next one, lasted until the adverts came on. Then the Lethal Weapon 3 came on, I didn’t get beyond the opening sequence.

Tsk!

Inchcock – Friday 7th April 2017

Friday 7th April 2017

Portuguese: 7ª Sexta-Feira Abril 2017

After laying here for five or so hours trying to get to sleep, I rose at 0420hrs in response to the new pain under the left arm near the ribs to get an extra painkiller.

P1050106Made a nice strong brew and took the normal medications at the same time.

But this mug of tea did not get drunken… oh no!

Had a freeze thanks to Arthur Itis and the mug is now deceased, broken, kaput!

Then, when getting down to sort the mess out, I had another dizzy spell. Not the best of starts to the day?

Got the prizes and nibbles in the bag ready for the Thursday Winwood Tenants Social Hour that should have been yesterday, but Penny who now runs it (Sometimes like Stalag Kamp Guard) had got to a funeral then.

The stabs of pain from the ribs under the left arm continued.

Computer switched on, many emails arrived. I found 862 Spam messages? Looked through them and changed some that I knew.

Had a bash on Facebook.

Got the ablutions tended to in grand style – Teggies all cleaned (all eight of them, Hehe), a good shave, carbolic soaped me all over, deodorised the flobby-body, pain gelled the feet and knees, antisepticated the areas needing it, haemorrhoids creamed and got ready to go to the meeting.

Met some tenants on the way down and hobbled to the Winwood Community shed.

Very short on numbers today. But the few who did go seemed to have a good time. Obergruppenfurer Penny. Who told me a free fish and chip meal is going, on Wednesday 26th and would I like to go. I said yes, and that seemed to shake her up a bit? She told me I’ve got to meet at the bus stop at 1130hrs on the day, must not be late, do not take any bags with me, not to forget my colostomy bag (How does she even think she knows these things?) and inform her immediately if I change my mind about going.

Had a  laugh or two and got back to the flat, made a cuppa and on the computer. Decided to save room in the WordPress gallery by permanently deleted 154 photographs in it. Then realised I’d removed the page headers with them! Had to make some more up. That was well over two hours lost. Tsk!

Rang Olive, no answer. I think it might be her Whist drive day?

Updated this dairy.

Went on Facebook.

Started new graphic, hours and hours spent on it until I lost the flipping thing! No the foggiest idea what I did, but when I closed things down to get the meal started and sorted then returned, I could not find where I’d saved the graphicalisation to? Very irksome!

It was getting late now, I wondered how the day had gone so quickly?

5Fri05Got the meal started, not that it took much bother tonight.

Think the eyes were bigger than the mouth… no that’s not right, is it?

Eyes bigger than the stomach, that’s it. With the sandwiches I mean, I overdid them a good bit. I’ve never thrown so much fodder away in one go before!

Within an hour the breadbasket innards was a rumbling contumeliously and noisily gurgling away!As I lay there, naked

Rinsed and changed into the jammy bottoms, took a swig of antacid and the evening medications with an extra Codeine.

5Fri10As I lay there, naked chested I swear I could see down to the outer part of the tummy bulge, the well-swollen stomach bulge at that, moving as if something was inside and wanting to be outside of it?

Reminded me of that space movie where creatures burst out of a woman’s belly. Even the already over sufficient grab-handles seemed bigger than ever? Hehe!

Got the goggle-box on and stayed awake for a couple of hours despite feeling so tired and weary?

Hey-ho! TTFN each.

Inchcock – Thursday 6th April 2017

Thursday 6th April 2017

Swedish: Torsdag 6 Apr 2017

Blimey, the dreams I went through last night! I was ensconced up high in a room in a bombed-out skyscraper, which was aphotic. I was an artillery signaller with the largest pink coloured binoculars and an RT. Most annoyed at being strafed by ginormous noisy flying armour plate covered crows? Might sound a bit way-out like, but this is all I can recall of the perhaps, dozens of the little dreams? It seems I woke up every few minutes throughout the night because at 0400hrs I sprang awake desperate for the utilisation of the porcelain throne feeling so weary and drained, fatigued and heavy eyelidded.

This did not stop the flood of almost manic thoughts, ever changing that raided my limited sanity for the next half hour or so. Getting out of the £300 second-hand recliner I felt the legs and ankles were far less full of retained liquid, Arthur Itis had returned to give me some hammer, and I really must get a move on to the porcelain… so I did, a bit of a dizzy en route. Settled on the throne and wallowed in agony (Well, pain, but suffering sounds so much more dramatic dunnit? Hehe), as the evacuation took on the proportions of a life threatening situation. Relief was welcome after a while, and success achieved. Had to clean-up the area and myself due to the accompaniment of much blood and ichor during the session, during which I managed to read a chapter of Stephen Fry’s book.Finished the cleaning up, and off into the kitchen

Finished the cleaning up, and off into the kitchen, worrying about the bank fiasco, which was soon replaced by concerns over the holes in the wall. After I’d I’d got the kettle on, made a cuppa and took the Health Readings, which were far better I think this morning: Sys 147 – Dia 70 – Pulse 79 – Temperature 37.1 and weight down, I say, Down to 14.66, fair enough only a tad down, but in the right direction at last! Hope yet? Hehe!

Fretted then over why the monitor machine had to have three attempts to get it going? The state of frettingisation this morning was great. Thankfully it did not last long.

Took the medications and got the computer going, and a new pain showed itself, left-side of the ribs half way up. An aching with stabbing like ones joining in. Humph! You just get one ailment calming down, and another visits you! Haha!

I then fretted over neighbour 93-year-old Norman. He has a taxi picking him up to go to the surgery, and they will return him to the flats. I asked them to call and let me know when he gets back so I can call on him and see how he is.

I remembered that the Winwood Centre Tenants Social Hour had been moved to Friday this week. (Amazing, me remembering something. Hehe!)

Made a start on this diary after finishing yesterday’s off.

Worked on graphicationalising and done this one for the TFZers site.

TFZers Pattie, Marie and me in a garden. Hope they all like it. I thought Marie might use it for one of her Jig-Saws?

I rang Olive to see if I ould call on here. She told me to visit in half-and-hour.

I put the CCTV view of the foyer on the TV. Showing the entrance. So I could see when the taxi comes to collect or drop off Norman later.

Emptied and swapped two of the waste bin bags, and took them out to the rubbish chute. Met Obergruppenfurheress Deana on the way back. Told her about the bank situation, she said to contact her if it doesn’t work out this time. She said Norman had cancelled his appointment for today.

Got the Easter Egg and jar of Wilkinson’s & Sons Strawberry Preserve and off to see Olive. She looked absolutely radiant this morning. Had a nice chinwag and her family called, so I had to depart, giving her an unashamed smacker on the lips as I left her apartment.

Down to catch the bus into Sherwood with some other residents. We’re going to miss this L8 service when it stops. Sob!

Walked down to the Continental Shop and got a brown sliced loaf and some Roast belly pork with herbs. It was warm but windy today.

The legs were already aching badly, and I must have looked a proper cripple as I limped back up Mansfield Road and called at the Birds Fresh Cream Cake shop to sample one of their Iced, Cream-Buns – but they had sold out! Sob again!

Called into Wilko’s to get some kettle descaler. I bought two at £1 each. They had the Airwick Citrus Sprays on offer from £3 to £1.50, so I got two of them and a wash fragrance Boost of their own label. A lovely scent and only £2.50 compared to the Big Brand ones at £6 each, same size.

I met BJ in the store, and we had a natter outside for a bit.

Met Roy up at the bus stop, who kindly told me he had been watching me struggle to walk up the road and I looked like a right cripple. That cheered me up. Hehe!

Up to the flats on the soon to be sorely missed and lamented L8 bus. Roy purloined some thrown away drawers in excellent nick from the skips waiting to be collected, and I helped him up to the flats with them.

The caretaker came out and had a sarcastic word or two with Roy, and I said to him: Who are you then? Oh, yes, our caretaker, that ling since I’ve seen yer I thought you croaked out! We all laughed, but only Roy and I meant it!

4Thur08Back in the flat, I got the descaler going – but made a bit of an Accifauxpa with it… I know, what a Plonka!

I opened the sachet and added half a kettle of boiled water, put it in the sink, as instructed and left it for ten minutes.

Meanwhile, I poured the Fosalka beans and tomato4Thur11 juice into the saucepan and got the caramelised onion gravy granules, tomato puree and the oven dish ready to use to bake the bacon later.

After the ten minutes had been up, I emptied the kettle in the sink and rinsed it out well.

But there were still bits sticking to the bottom of the kettle! So I had to use the other sachet of cleaner and do it again.

05Thu12I reread the instruction to see what I’d made a Whoopsiedangleplop with… I was supposed to have put the whole unopened sachet into the water, not empty it into the kettle.

I mean, look at the oh-so-clear capital lettering on the wording: DROP-IN-BAG!

Sad innit?

A good job I bought two of them. Humph!

So I redid the descaling once mo4Thur07re.

Took this delightful photograph from the kitchen window while waiting for the ten minutes to pass again.

It came out alright this time.

Gave it good rinsing several times, and then made a fresh brew of Thompson’s in the mug and enjoyed it.

4Thur09Took the evening medications with it.

Got the bacon in the oven on a low light… a low light I says: That takes me back to old days when I had a gas stove. Swore at the time I’d never go on to use an electric one. At that time, of course, we were on all gas, even the lights.

I think we were the last houses to be converted to electricity, in the Meadows area of Nottingham. 6Sat20 I hasten to add, I was only an ankle snapper then, of course! Hehe!

Added the puree and onion gravy to the beans.

Updated this diary.

Did some Facebooking again. Moved the bacon into the saucepan with the beans. Kept a stirring the concoction. Added black bean sauce and mushrooms to it.

4Thur03The broth, come stew, come soup, come Beans bacon mix was cooked to perfection for me. But a bit of a disaster with the plan to make enough to last two meals and days.

Whoopsiw02 After laying it all out on the tray and took this photo… I foolishly thought what a good idea to transfer the fodder contents left in the pan, into a container to keep it fresh in the fridge for tomorrow…

The fingers decided to freeze at just the wrong moment, and the kitchen floor claimed the contents instead. By the time I’d cleaned the place and me up, annoyed Arthur Itis I had to reheat the stew again!

Took the edge right off the meal this Whoopsiedangleplop. I did not enjoy it much. Felt so foolish and annoyed with myself. Then had a dizzy while sat eating it!

Fed-up

Put the things in the bowl to soak overnight, sat down a drifted off seemingly having a dream immediately? It seemed like I remember the Woolworth stores restaurant used to be, but an office. Three girls from the TFZ site (Marie, Pattie and Sandie) were all sat at the table with me. My old English Imperial typewriter was on the desk along with plates of food, and the gals were putting nibbles (Cream cake, Marmite Crisps, Cheesy potatoes, Black beans in beef were amongst the treats) into my mouth and smiling at me? I was in heaven and somehow knew I was dreaming? I was annoyed when I woke up, annoyed at waking up! And, surprised to realise I’d only been sleeping for a few moments!

Got the TV on and fell asleep again, but kept on my waking on and off all through the blooming night so regularly, I was drained when got up at 0420hrs.

Humph!

Inchcock – Wednesday 5th April 2017: Bank Farce Progress? Just maybe?

Wednesday 5th April 201

Swahili: Jumatano ya 5 April 2017

Woke at 0425hrs: The swelling legs had gone down a bit and were far less painful this morning. I think Anne Gyna knew this, cause she was giving me some nasty painful stabs, bless her.

Got out of the £300 second-hand recliner with little bother, and into the kitchen to put the kettle on, turned on the computer and then off to the porcelain throne. Oh dear. Haemorrhoid Harold had and was still bleeding a fair bit, but not enough to make me discard any clothing. Cleaned up and medicated what needed medicating.

Made a nice strong mug of tea and took the medications. At this point, the legs started to give me some bother again. Tsk! Found a note on the 1960 second-hand E-Plan sideboard, with scribble about a dream on it? How it found it’s way onto the sideboard I wasn’t sure?

Got the WordPress going to finish yesterday’s post off, and realised I must have got up last night and wrote about the dream, cause the writing was there in front of me in the diary? A good job I did, because I could never have gleaned so much detail from the scribble I’d wrote.

The tea had gone cold, so I went to make another one. Did the health-checks while I was in there. Dia 169 – Sys 75 – Pulse 89 – Temp 38.1 C, and the best of the lot, Weight 14.75, down at last! I’ll do it again later if I remember, cause I’d not long got rid of a hell of a dollop on the throne.

Remembered I’d got two deliveries coming this morning from Asda and Morrison. So had a wash and changed into the day clothes so as not to answer the door in my jammies.

Finished off yesterday’s diary and started this one off. Realised I’d not put on the picture of last evening’s sky, so I took another one of it.

3Wed01

The Copse is getting thicker now, I’ll soon be able to have a wander through it in search of flora and fauna to photographalise.

I’ve ordered a new kettle in one of the deliveries, cause the one I have seems to be resisting my descaling efforts nowadays.

3Wed03

Had a bash on Facebook for a few hours. The Morrison delivery arrived, followed by the Asda (Walmart) one.

Overdone it again!

Made another brew and weighed myself again… 2lb up on three hours ago and I have not eaten anything? Grumph! Mind you, I can feel the legs and ankles swelling again?

Fodder

Graphic created for the TFZer site. Took me hours with one, but it ain’t too bad.

Got the washing ready and down to the laundry room. Fellow tenant Paul was there, had a quick chinwagging session.

3Wed05

Back up to the flat and finished the above graphic.

Postman called with the Stat pension letter.

I opened it with trepidation… they had got the right Postcode on it! But the wrong detail sheet! I swore so much!

3Wed07

Down once more to collect the washing. Cleaned the filter.

Back in flat, put the togs away and called Olive to see how she was and tell her about the continuing banking farce.

I can visit her tomorrow, in the morning.

Got ready and went down to the bank, just hoping this State Pension form with the correct address would be suitable for the job!

Feeling a bit down for some reason, and I’d been so high earlier?

The s3Wed08aun was shining, and the wind a blowing as I departed on my hobble to and down Winchester Street Hill and to the bank to see Lisa, the new manager.

At the end of Winchester Street, three rascals speeding down the hill on the pavement forced me to move across the road. Little varmints!

Fair queue when I got into the bank. Only one on the counter. Ten minutes or so later, Lisa opened another window, tended to the chap in front of me and another 10 minutes later, she beckoned me over to the counter. I managed to keep those behind waiting another 20 minutes as she sorted the paperwork out and asked for some forms they had already taken six weeks ago and photocopied, so she could photocopy them!?!?

She ‘Thought’ the newly arrived State Pension breakdown detail letter should be acceptable. She will ring me and if it goes through and let me know. Again, I asked if it would be possible to email me, but no. Told her about the Doctor being off sick so I might not get the required details from her, and that is if she agrees to do them for me, no obligation on her part to do it.

So, I said I would drop in at the bank, on Monday afternoon to find out what is happening. I am not in an unexpectant, but rather a nervous frame of mind now, no confidence left.

Peeped into the Birds Cake Shop window, jus tin case they had any of the Fresh Cream Iced Buns in, but they hadn’t. Naturally, I took this in good spirits.

Cried on my way up to the bus stop. (Not really, but I thought you might find this funny and like a laugh?)

3Wed08Back at the flats, I was nearly blown off my feet by the wind.

The sun was still bright, but when I got back up to the apartment, I could hear the winds howling. But the scenery was gorgeous to look at.

I couldn’t get my head around the fact that I had not bought any fodder, well, anything at all while out. Another odd sensation for me. Hehe!

3Wed09Updated the diary for Monday next on my Google page.

Looks like a busy Monday coming up.

Updated this diary after making a jolly strong mug of tea.

The legs and ankles were I think less swollen now, hurting all the same and irritating Arthur Itis, though. Humph!

Took the potatoes out of the saucepan, ready to have with a cold meal later on. (Or Not?)

Not sure what I’m going to have with them mind, but there is plenty to choose from.

Put the Lumix camera and mobile phone on charge and visited the porcelain again.

Haemorrhoid Harold leaking just a bit, Little Inchy not bleeding, but sore.

Popped on Facebook being as I was amazingly not too tired.

Did some WordPressing.

3Wed10Took the evening medications, finished on Facebooking and got the fodder prepared.

I accidentally had two of the lemon drizzles afterwards.

A mere misfortune that could happen to anyone. Ahem!

This meal consisted of mini-pork and caramelised onion, mushrooms, beetroot, boiled potatoes (Not done in Soy Sauce, Orb has advised me not to use this for a while as it contains a lot of sodium) sliced and drizzled with American potato seasoning, tomato puree, Vegetable sage & onion with herbs slices and soft cheese portions one with mushroom, one extra strong and one with Gouda. Oh, and the Lemon Drizzles and a banana. Nice! 9.5/10.

Tired, but I think the legs and ankles are reducing in size and water content again. Fingers crossed.

Soon nodded off.
