Inchcocks Woes – Thursday 14th December 2016: Got out to go to Arnold, got on the wrong bus and ended up in Nottingham. Oven fire. Lost shopping bag. Nothing new here then?

In Maori: Rāpare 14 Hakihea 2016

Woken at 0330hrs, the £300 second-hand recliner in the down posIition, nibble pots scattered about me, the TV still on. I think I’d been dreaming of Sister Jane and Dad? The urge for a WRWW prevalent and responded to. A trickle of blood from Little Inchy, Haemmohoird Harold not too much bleeding either.

The urge for a WRWW prevalent and responded to. A trickle of blood from Little Inchy, Haemmohoird Harold not too much bleeding either. Got the washing and down to the launderette and loaded the machine got it started and back up for a WRHD. Not an easy affair this morning

Got the washing bag and down to the laundry room, loaded the machine got it started and back up for a WRHD. Not an easy affair this morning at all. Got the computer started and made a cuppa and took an extra Senna with the medications.

4thur02Back down to move the clothes into the dryer. Popped out the foyer door to see if I could get a photograph on the Copse in the dark.

0415hrs: Up once more to the apartment, updated this diary. Brewed a mug of tea. Finalised yesterday’s journal.

Started graphicationalisationing for the next TFZer fun creation.

Back to collect the finished clothes from the laundry room. I was a little late with concentrating on the graphics and someone had kindly thrown my clothing on top of the dryer for me.

Up, put the clothing away and got a cuppa and back to the Graphicalisationing.

Again I lost track of time and had to rush to do the ablutions in time for me to get to the Tenants Social Hour in time. Not that the impetus and joy are in going there anymore, but I did tell BJ I would be going, so. Had a refreshing shave and shower, did the teggies and treated tender, sore Little Inchy as best I could.

Got the pressies, prized and nibbles in the bag.

Popped over to see Olive, where I got a mega-telling off for asking if I could take her photo. Apparently, her hair was not suitable at that moment. But she is so sweet yet commanding with it, and the twinkle in her eye transfixes me you know. Hehe!

4thur03Off to the Social Hour.

I must say the new display in the Foyer looked fantastic with the lights on. Very homely looking?

Out to the Winwood Community Shed and put the prizes on the trolley and sat down at a bare table and awaited the arrival of my weekly tale-mates. Bill arrived, in his usual confused state, a grand bloke is Bill. Bob next, he of the ‘I want’ category. Polish Eddie then, a 93-year-old-miracle is Eddie. Full of vim and energy too. Then mate BJ arrived. He’s taken to these Tenants Hour Session has BJ, he’s taken over helping with ‘doing’ the raffle now. The women love him to bits. I hate him… Jealousy! Hehehe!  A helper, can’t remember his name, he gave me some DVDs that he had from clearing his Mothers flat out.

Said my cheerios and back to the flat. Got ready to go out into Arnold with the intention of getting some Surimi, Sourdough bread and Rice-Pea snacks from Sainsbury’s. Down to the bus stop and chatted to a few other tenants. I noticed that on the concrete bollards at the side of the kerb, the Ladybirds had gathered again.

4thur04

I took a couple of photo’s of them, there were eight bollards I looked at, and the insects were on each one. This phenomenon continues to puzzle me. Here we are in December and Ladybirds still active? Each time I see these, I tell myself to look up at them on the internet, but I always forget to.

4thur05Foolishly I got on the wrong bus, muggins here got on the inbound L9 in error for the outbound one.

Pillock with bar, that’s me!

Dropped off the bus on Upper Parliament Street and up and over the walkway and took this photographicalisation of the Nottingham shoplifters and Benefit claimants. Haha!

4thur06My alternative plan was to go in the Victoria Centre Mall and go into Tesco and have a wander around. The intended Sainsbury expedition will have to be done tomorrow. Tsk!

I took a shot from the upper floor of the ‘Everything Made of Chocolate’ stall below.

It still fascinates me. Can’t make out what the yellow and grey things are bottom right?

Window shopped my way along and down and to Tesco. Where those deadly Fresh Cream French Horns jumped into my shopping basket without me realising it. (Ahem!)

4thur07Got some bits and wandered out of the centre by the shortest route, as it was getting a bit dangerous with the crowds so large, to walk safely.

Walked into the City Centre Slab Square, avoiding the Nottingham Pavement Cyclists as best I could.

When I was coming onto Milton Street, I was approached m an ITV interviewer and cameraman and they interviewed me about Government or Local to fund social care! I stuttered and was slow in forming my answers, so I don’t think they will be using me on the box, but they might?

In the square, the ice skaters were all having fun.

4thur08

Many years ago, I tried ice skating at the arena. Ten minutes after starting and a broken ankle later, I gave up trying. Hahaha!

4thur09

The stalls and rides evoked another memory from my muddled mind. I once had a go on the Horses around 1959 it was, at Goose Fair. They say I was the first person they had that fell off of a horse.

4thur10I had a further poddle around and then Anne Gyna started playing me up, so I made my way to the bus stop to catch an L9 bus back to the welcoming ‘So glad I live here now’ flat.

As the bus pulled off and I took this photographicalisation on the right at the top of King Street, I remembered that it was the City Hospital GUM Clinic appointment today! Plonker! However, it proved so lucky I recalled this when I did, ’cause all I had to do was stay on the bus beyond the Woodthorpe Court flats, and it took me straight outside the City Hospital gate, where I dropped off. Leaving one of my bags on the bus! Plonker again!

Walked through to the other side of the compound and into the GUM clinic. Smiler was working on the reception again. I’ve learned not to bother to even attempt any verbal communications with him, just yes, no and nods is best, he understands these simple non-sociable things.

Another session of embarrassing and belittling treatment ensued. Why should whoever sees me, do the interview and update, take me to a treatment room, pants down, lie down. Giant lighted magnifying machine placed over the lower regions as I lay there pretending not to be disconcerted or flustered while she has a look, then always they fetched some other persons to have a look and give their opinion and nurses and students are summoned to have a laugh as well! Huh!

4thur12Caught the bus back to the flats at the bus stop just out of view at the end of the side road in this photographicalisation above.

So glad to get back into the apartment and get the kettle on, slippers on and a WRHD session. When it came to putting the bits I’d bought away, I realised I had only one bag – the second bag I assume, I’d left on the bus or at the GUM clinic. Twit!

Got preparing the evening meal. Sliced the boiled potatoes I did earlier into thick wedges and placed these along with the last of the lamb leg steaks in a foil tray into the oven, to cook them slowly.

Into the living room and got the DVD, one that the chap gave me this morning, ‘Extras – The Special’ and got carried away viewing it, really good it was, and I was so contended watching it – until I saw the smoke coming through the door, which thankfully was open due to not being able to be closed (Mainly because it won’t close thanks to the United Carpet fitter’s lack of skill!).

Oh dearie me… when I opened the oven door, so much smoke flooded out I was sure the smoke alarm would go off, but it didn’t – and that amazed me somewhat. Belatedly I closed the kitchen door and opened the window, bruising my knuckles on the damned fiddly switch twixt the window and wall… Sob!

I got the fodder out, and it looked fine… well marinated with smoked, but fine. Set about investigating, and the tray had leaked and the lamb juice dripped onto the bottom of the oven. It took me more than an hour to clean it up, and it ain’t properly cleaned but looks a lot better. Had to clean up the floor, the bowl, the sink, the counters, me… Humph!

4thur11The meal I’d placed in foil to try and keep it warm. It wasn’t too bad actually.

Chinese mushrooms, normal mushrooms, tomatoes, strong blue stilton cheese, garden peas, cheesy cob (Only ate one of them) anf the lamb was curiously tasteless, despite looking grand?

Took the medications with some orange juice, and settled to finish watching the DVD. Couldn’t settle properly and kept nipping into the kitchen to make sure the oven was okay, the taps not left running etc.

Lovely smell of lamb and burnt ash prevailed. Hehehe!

Worra day!

Inchcock Today: Wednesday 14th December 2016 – Got Visitors that were not medical staff, repairmen, Social Officials, Complainees or delivery personages. Great!

3wed01

Wednesday 14th December 2016

In Catalan: 14 de Desembre a L’any 2016

Stirred around 0330hrs: Again disappointed at my not recalling any of the dreams whatsoever. Just vague emotions. Tsk!

Within seconds, the feared wet, warm and tingling from the lower regions made itself felt as soon as I moved in the £300 second-hand recliner.

Dismounted the working faultlessly £300 second-hand recliner, tripped over a bottle of spring water and off to the wetroom for a WRHD session and investigated the state of Little Inchy. His state was not good. Much thick blood all over, but at least I managed to clean up the area and stop the bleeding a bit quicker this morning compared tp last night. Another strong kitchen towel roll finished off. Haha!

Made a cuppa and took the medications, got the computer going and emailed the surgery for an appointment, and the clinic was asking if my next appointment can be brought forward at all.

Worked on the diaries and did some graphics. Did one of Nottingham for the TFZers.

3wed01

3wed02Then another for a bit of fun about TFZer pets in my wetroom. Hehe!

0645hrs: Having the Morrisons delivery coming twixt 0739 > 0830hrs, I got the ablutions done.

A lemon scented soap session again this not so cold morning.

Back to the computer and carried on. Getting to Facebooking eventually.

Got the chairs ready for the visitors, plenty if nibbles in pots spread about, kitchen towels if needed if they had a sniffle and bags with their presents and bites for Christmas to hand.

1040hrs: Made another cuppa and had a look out of the kitchen window to see if I could spot if Jane & Pete was arriving.

3wed03

As I took the photographicalisation and wondered if the third car to the left was theirs, the doorbell sounded.

It was Jane and Pete coming.

So cheer-making to see them.

Chinwagged while I made them a brew of tea. Then ensconced themselves in the front room chairs. Pete in the £300 second-hand recliner, Jane in 3wed05the £35 broken second-hand comfy, cuddly chair that I got from the Sue Ryder charity shop and paid £30 for delivery of.

Cheerful Pete on his mobile and Jane delving into the nibbles.

Good news from Jane, she had been to have a test at the QMC to see what her problem was she’d been suffering with, and got the all clear 3wed04on the ‘Big C’. It was identified as Globus Hystericus and was treatable.

Good news, for us all! Yeehaa!

We nattered further for a while. Then, they showed interest in my new Dyson V6 cleaner. Memories turned over.

3wed07I gave them their pressies and nibbles in different bags, Red for the girl Jane and Blue for Boy Pete. Hehehe!

They gave me my present and one for Olive in thanks for looking after me.

A tin of shortcake biscuits with a tree on top, that when wound up played a Christmas tune with a beautifully written message for Angel Olive.

Walked them to the lifts when it the time for them to depart arrived. Felt a bit bad afterwards when I realised I’d not given Jane a peck on the cheek. Tsk! Dumbo me!

3wed06Went into the kitchen to turn over the two ginormous Wilja potatoes that I was boiling in the biggest saucepan I own, on the lowest setting.

I think it will take a couple more hours to get them right, then I intend to drain them and slice them putting the resulting feast into the oven along with two lamb leg steaks I had delivered from Morrisons earlier.

Back on the computer to update the diaries and have another spell on the TFZers site.

I was pleased with the food, perhaps one of my better attempts at real tasty cuisine? Mixed beans in tomato sauce with a touch of Worcester sauce and tomato puree with basil added.

The lamb leg steaks into the oven, then I added the boiled potatoes having quartered them to soak up the lambs leakages of tasty juice – Roas3wed08ted them very slowly for about 40 minutes or so.

Burnt the edges of the potatoes nicely, and for once, the well-done lamb was not cooked to a crisp Hehe!

The presented fodder looked okay to me and tasted fantastic. Had a cheese roll with it and an apple with orange juice.

It was grand! I felt like a right patrician.

Indications from the innards suggested I attend the porcelain for a WRHD session again. Things are firming up again in this department. I took a Senna with the evening medications.

There was a good choice of TV programmes for me to fall asleep watching tonight. And I did! Hehe!

Inchcock Today, Tuesday 13th December 2016: Good start to the day

2tue01

Tuesday 13th December 2016

In Bosnian: Utorak 13 Dec 2016

0440hrs: Woke, annoyed that I could recall no details of the dreams I’d been having again! A feeling that they were not nice prevailed.

Roger Reflux was being naughty, and I was doing rather a lot of coughing and sneezing? However, the weariness of last night, disseminated.

Out of the £300 second-hand recliner, that worked impeccably this morning and off for a WRHD session. No bleeding from Little Inchy or Haemorrhoid Harold. Another decent start to the day eh?

cookInto the kitchen to take the medications then made a cuppa. Got the computer on and diaries tended to.Bash on Facebook.

Had a bash on Facebook.One

Shirley, one of the TFZer gals had posted a beautiful photograph from when she was just 21 years-of-age. Mind you, she still looks a cracker to me now.

Made up this graphicalisation on the right, placing Shirley in with some men cooks and added some bits of fodder and drinkies into the mix as well. Took me ages, but I enjoyed doing it, and it came out not too bad I thought. I hope they like it.

Did the ablutions, a lemon scented soap one this time with Citrus antiperspirant used afterwards. Cut myself shaving, and it hardly bled at all. The haemoglobin seemed very thick?

Got prepared and wrapped up well and down to the bus-stop. Nice chinwag with many other tenants there.

Got into town and walked over the footbridge into the Victoria Centre. Into the Next Store and purchased a Gift Voucher for Sister Jane.

Then to the market for the stocking up on Christmas nuts.

Along to the end of the top floor and into the Man Shop. Fascinating place, spend ages pondering before I got two pressies for Jane and Pete.

Poddled along to a shop called Tiger, I think. Had all odd, unusual things on sale. Spent a good while in there and got some more bits for Christmas for Jane and Pete.

Down to the ground floor and popped into Tesco. Their Sourdough Bread had only one day left on the best before date. Humph! I avoided the fresh cream cakes aisle. Got some cheesy seaweed snacks, cheesy cobs and lamb chops.

Out and through Trinity Square and to the bus stop to catch a bus to the GUM clinic – Huh! Luckily I realised the appointment was for next Tuesday, not this one before I got on the wrong bus.

2tue06At the bus shelter, I noticed damage to the little seating area as I rested the bags on the bench.

I tried to picture what would nave caused this injury to the seat and the, in particular, the thick metal end support, that had been torn and bent away from the structure.

No one on the bus to talk to. Very few passengers at all on the bus.

2tue07Then it started raining.

In the flats, I called on Olive, who was not in.

To number 72 and got the meal started earlier than usual, due to a sudden attack of hunger pangs.

Popped in for a WRWW and oh dearie me… Little Inchy had been and was still flowing with blood. Thick blood again.

Took me ages to stop it. Cleaned up, changed certain clothing items and applied the Daktacort cream. Feeling very uncomfortable then.

Checked on the food in the oven and saucepan and went back into the porcelain room to check the warm wet sensation in lower regions. I thought for a few moments I was really going potty here: I turned on the power switch for the shower instead of the wetroom light, got in, dark of course, and I pulled the wall heater string in error for the light switch pull. Came out after cleaning up and again, turned the switch to the shower power instead of the light switch! I stopped for a few seconds, actually wondering what the hell was I doing, and heard a noise down the hall. Checked and it was the INR Anticoagulation Results in the letter box. A bit late I thought for the postman?

Maybe the noise I heard was some bags going down the rubbish chute? Must have been, cause even with the hearing aids in. I don’t hear anything coming through the letter box usually.

Anyway, the INR level was very nearly spot on – so this informed me that the Warfarin level was not the cause of the bleeding from Little Inchy being so thick?

2tue09Got the fodder all prepared and served up.

I did enjoy it, but could not eat it all.I must try to make smaller servings in future.

I must try to make smaller meals in future.

Then I’ll moan about there not being enough to eat?

Hehehe!

Settled to watch some old ‘Heartbeat’ DVD episodes. Fell asleep and woke up coughing badly for a few seconds, then that horrible warm wet sensation manifested itself in the lower regions!

I was despondent to find what I expected, Little Inchy had been pouring again, what a mess, and he started tingling badly this time? Cleaned and sanitised my flobby body parts again, and returned to the £300 second-hand recliner and the DVD.

Couldn’t concentrate on it, though, the mind started racing and bickering with itself for some unknown reason. Jane and Pete coming tomorrow, have I got everything ready… will Little Inchy cause me more bother? Did I turn off the taps and light in the wetroom and kitchen? Did I take the evening medications? (I hadn’t, so I got out of the comfort of the £300 second-hand warmly covered recliner and took the medicines, checked the lights and taps at the same time, none left on). Did I leave the mobile in my jacket pocket? (Out of the chair again to check, I had left in in the pocket and the battery was almost out, so I put it in charge and returned to the recliner again) Did I turn off the oven and cooker?

Somewhere amidst this cacophony of confused out of control brain activity, I fell asleep…

Inchcock Today: Monday 12th December 2016

1mon02

Monday 12th December 2016

In Nepali: सोमवार 12 डिसेम्बर 2016

Well well well, what a horrible night! Tsk!

Didn’t get to sleep until well after midnight – then persistent dreams, it seemed like one long continuous one, I reckon it was full of regrets and failure. Yet I once again can recall no details for certain at all.

Around 0420hrs I woke and pondered on the things that needed to get done today.

Out of the £300 second-hand, working rather shakily recliner and off for a WRWW. Little Inchy was still sore.

Into the kitchen to make a cuppa and get the medications ready. Took a photograph at the top of the page, by bravely opening the window to get a better less reflective shot. It surprised me with it not being so cold with the fog stroke mist out there this morning.

Responded to the innards demand, for a WRHD session with trepidations. But all was well indeed! No Haemorrhoid Harold bleeding at all. Anne Gyna was absolutely fine with me. Roger Reflux Valve hardly any bother at all! Duodenal Daniel not the slightest hassle! Even Arthur Itis was in a good mood with me! All this, along with Little Inchy’s lesion not bleeding, cheered me up. Good!

1mon03Sorted me out and got the computer on, a fresh cuppa and took the morning medications.

A bit of bother with the WordPress gallery not working, but it came back on of its own accord later?

I wondered how I could get to see Jane and Pete and consulted the Google Calendar.

0645hrs now, and I thought (Another rarity there, hehehe!) I’d call Pete to see if we could arrange a meet somehow or other. I conceived that I might catch him on his way to the paper shop and ATM. When I rang, he’d just got back a few minutes earlier. We had a natter, with Pete wisely consulting with Jane in between, and it was decided that they would both come up to see me next Wednesday morning. I was even more cheered up now!

I considered taking up numismatics as a hobby. I’ve no idea why I said or thought that?

1mon04I poddled into the kitchen again to replace the gotten-cold mug of tea.

Got the inspiration to take the few Estima boiled potatoes in the saucepan, out with me in a bag to nibble on my travels.

While doing this, I realised that the vegetables in stock in the Crock-Pot had not lasted well and were ponging a bit.

So I strained them, put them in a bag then into the black refuse sack. Had to leave the porcelain part of the slow cooker soaking in the bowl in the sink.

Spent a while Facebooking and grahicalisationing.

Did the ablution duties, carbolic soap today.

1mon02All ready and wrapped up, a quick check on the weather from the kitchen window, and I set off on the walk to the Nottingham Haematology for the Warfarin INR Level Blood Test.

Trudged up the hill and through the Woodthorpe Park and left down to Mansfield Road.

Just a bit of a nip in the mist this morning, but I kept going, and it was not too bad at all.

No dizzies!

1mon03Up into Sherwood, and right down Edwards Lane to the ring road.

Stopped to take a photograph of the traffic coming up Edwards Lane.

The mist was oddly masking the far scenery, I thought if it comes out alright, I might add this to the ‘Moody Photo’ Album on my Facebook page later.

Onward, avoiding many Nottingham Pedestrian-Cyclist on the ring road, and arrived at my destination and took a ‘waiting ticket’ and settled to read my book in the Out-Patients hall.

An hour or so later, after keeping my eye on the roster board, my number came up and I rather foolishly as it turned out, went to the usual ‘Blood-Room door to find it locked’? I looked around rather confused, and a chap laughed at me and pointed in a backwards direction indicating this is where I have to go today. Through a mini-maze of corridors and into an entirely different area of the hospital, I found a nurse stood in the hall waiting for me, and she hastened me into a tiny room to have my blood taken. It appears that the usual room had suffered a water leak and could not be used. Hey-ho, How I managed not to notice that each time the dozens of numbers came up and no one went near the old room, I don’t know – or the signs I saw on my way out informing us of the change. Hehe!

1mon04Went to the bus stop to find a number 40 was due in four minutes, so caught it back and thankfully, up Winchester Street Hill.

This picture was taken near the ring road through the bus window.

Dropped off at the Commercial Laundry and hobbled up, turned left to the apartment.

Back at the flats I nipped in to see Olive and got a telling off or two. Collected her empty jars after a nice chinwag.

Back to the flat, and literally did nothing more of any interest worth or bother than collapsing in the £300 second-hand recliner, for some reason almost entirely worn-out?

Very strange this sudden loss of drive and interest?

It took a while for me find the interest in making something to eat, but this seemed to bring me round a bit.

1mon05Made a meal with eyes far too ginormous and big for my stomach. Tsk!

Not that it mattered, cause when it came to eating it, the interest had gone and I left most of it.I didn’t eat any of the boiled potatoes

I didn’t eat any of the boiled potatoes.

A sudden feeling of inadequacy, valuelessness and almost a depression came over me – but why I don’t know.

I did nothing more after that, other than fall asleep, wake up, WRWW, fall asleep, wake up, pass wind, TV on, fall asleep, wake up, but I did have many dreams in between, no detailed facts about them remain.

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today – Sunday 11th December 2016: A most uncomfortable day, but I’m not complaining I say!

7sun01a

Sunday 11th December 2016

In Haitian Creole: Dimanche 11yèm Desanm 2016

0425hrs: Woke with thoughts that I had had amazing, scary but passionate dreams – And so annoyed that no actual memories of them could be retrieved! I knew that passion had been involved somewhere, ’cause Little Inchy’s lesion had been bleeding and he was very sore.

After dismounting the £300 second-hand recliner, (with relative ease I proudly might add), the first job was to put the jammie bottoms into the sink to soak in a mixture of Dettol antiseptic disinfectant and soap powder. Felt very uncomfortable, even worse when I had a WRHD session and had a freshen-up, Haemorrhoid Harold bled profusely, even the gums bled when I cleaned the teggies. To add to my morning woes, Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis, Harry Hernia,  Roger Reflux Valve, Duodenal Daniel, joined in with Inchies Lesion to give me a worrying time. Even Donald’s Dizzy’s started hassling me.

The poor old jammy-bottoms were more blood than not. As I rinsed them out a bit later, I found a tear in the crotch?  Dried them and threw them in a black bag to be taken to the waste chute when is was not so early as to disturb other sleeping tenants.

Worra Mornin’!

I knew (For some reason and I don’t know why) that I must carry on and not go back to resting again?

Cleaned up now and semi-sorted like, I got the kettle on and took the morning medications. Donald’s dizzies visiting again. Not a good start, why is it nearly always the weekend when these ailments appear? Just when they know that no help is at hand? Humph, Tsk and Huh! Hehe.

If Donald Dizzy continues to plague me, I think I might have to use the panic alarm button for the first time? (Typical, I open my gob and Donald disappears, Hmm?)

ianh03cComputer on. Did a graphic for Sir Martin Shuttlecock for his birthday. A grand chap.

If you read this mate, Cheers for being you, I’m proud of yer coping so well with things Sir.

Odd noises coming from somewhere now? Put the hearing aids in to try and work out where from and what it was.A sort of shuddering noise but without any actual shaking or trembling… a bit like, well I don’t know really. Rumbling?

A sort of shuddering noise but without any actual shaking or trembling… a bit like, well I don’t know really. Rumbling?

Did some work on the diaries then onto Facebook.

carCarried on updating the diaries.

Got the latest TFZer graphicalisation finished.

Pat and Marie with some pets and a Cat Car!

I hope they like it.

Got it posted to the TFZ site.

Then a call for a WRHD session was demanded, and with hope and crossed fingers and off to the porcelain I poddled.

No more Donald Dizzies and Haemorrhoid Harold has almost stopped bleeding. Little Inchy will require some attention when I do the ablutions later.

7sun02Went to make another cup of tea and the view from the kitchen window was nice now the mist had cleared somewhat.

It was still only 59°f in the kitchen though and mind you.

I then got deeply involved in getting graphics to doctor later and use for Facebooking and the diaries. In fact, I spent over 6 hours doing this and arranging them so I  might find them later when needed. Donald Dizzy paid a few visits when I stood up to go to the porcelain and made a mug of tea.

Made the brew and I just stood looking out at the view, thinking of everything and nothing, but couldn’t clear my concerns over the dizzy spells. Haven’t even done my ablutions yet. And I don’t seem concerned either. Opened a tin of tomatoes put them in the pan seasoned with sea salt and basil. Very tired and I’ve only done computerisationing. Tsk! Got the lamb chop and a half into the oven ready to make the fodder.

Did some Facebooking for a few hours. No more dizzies, so despite not seeing or talking to anyone all day, the graphicalisationing and art preparatory work took up eight hours – and I still didn’t get it all done! Mentally drained, but the ailments eased off unexpectedly, but nicely

Got the meal. The picture of which has once again disappeared from the Lumix camera?

Nice it was, apart from a slight Whoopsiedangleplop after eating it, when I took the tablets with the orange juice – spilt the blooming orange juice didn’t I! Worra mess to clear up. All over my clothes and the box at the side of the £3– second-hand recliner, and the carpet and slippers. Tsk!

Late now, and I was really feeling weary, but forced myself to do the ablutions now, so as I could get ready quicker in the morning. Little Inchy was still very sore and bleeding just a tiny bit.

I’ve got the City Hospital visit on for the INR test, and need to be out by 0800hrs at the latest to get to the haematology and not have to wait on such a large queue. I should get there for about 0900hrs, there will be a large body of patients waiting as usual. Sometimes it can take only 15 minutes or so, but others, up to three hours. But I’ll take my book with me. No wonder I can’t make any plans. Humph!

Terrible time trying to get to sleep, hardly any nod-offs and once again it was gone midnight by the time I got off, so to speak!

Inchcock Today: Sat 10th December 2016: Got out into town – forgot to take the camera – Humph!

Inchcock’s Advice for the elderly

0300hrs: Up and out of the £300 second-hand recliner and got the things required to go to the laundry room and get the washing done.

Down in the lift and got the washing machine going.

6sat01Went back up to number 72 and took the medications. Got the computer going and then down to the laundry room again to move the washing into the dryer. The filter had been cleaned this time.

Spotted another new display for Christmas in the foyer.Took a photograph and back up and doctored it to look like this here on the right.

Took a photograph and back up and doctored it to look like this here on the right.

Spent an hour doing the diaries and graphicalisationing. Without any demands for a WRHD session yet? Plenty of WRWWs, though.

6sat02Final trip down to collect the dried washing. Oh dear!

The towel was covered in little bits of black fluff! Tried picking them off, but realised it would be a long, very long job!

Up to the flat and tried the Magic Brush to remove the multitude of black fluff bits investing the towel – and was initially very pleased with how it got the fluff off without too much hassle – the Magic Brush then became blocked with the fluff, and there the problem exacerbated. I just could not work out how to get the fluff off of the brush then! Oh, heck! Gave up after ages trying to get it off, the towel still with plenty of black bits stuck to it. Humph! Sad innit?

Got yesterday’s diary finished at last.

Facebooked for a while. Hours actually. 0902hrs, closed down to get the ablutions tended to in time to catch the first bus (1o30hrs) into town to get the photographs taken.

Back in a bit…

1545hrs: Back.

There was nobody to have a chinwag with this morning at the bus stop or on the bus. Arrived in town, and immediately saw so many photographic opportunities as I got off the bus. The fair, so many stalls, a traffic accident and police arresting some youths… Great, I thought!

I dug into the bag to get the camera – But no, guess which absolute dumb idiot had left it at home? Gnash! And so it went all through the visit to the City Centre and shopping, it should have been enough photographs taken for me to do a special page on the blog. I was so angry with myself. Humph!

Had a trip around the slab square, the ice rink, amusements all with something worth taking a picture of. Called in many of the charity shops to look see if any had a camera with normal batteries I could buy and use. Jessops on Exchange Walk did not sell them anymore. The Money shop on the same Walk had none is stock. The other Money Shop on Upper Parliament Street had two cameras on show, but they did not have normal batteries either. To Long Row, calling in the Barnardos shop, none. The Heart charity shop had none either. The Cash Converters on Long Row and Milton Street didn’t have any. By now I was getting tired and depressed with myself, so gave up looking and went to Tesco in the hopes of getting some of their sliced Sourdough Bread. I had to search through the few loaves they had on the shelves, to find two that had a few days code left on them. Got some Chinese seaweed and cheese nibbles

I had to search through the few loaves they had on the shelves, to find the last two that had a few days code left on them. Got some Chinese seaweed and cheese nibbles and a packet of Fresh Cream French Horn cakes fell into the basket as I passed them. Mind you, when I got back I put them in the fridge and forgot all about them, Tsk!

Had a walk to M&S Foodhall, pottered around but didn’t buy anything. As I came out the Salvation Army were playing Christmas Tunes, I gave a hefty donation to one of the officer’s collection tins. Although they are plastic nowadays. Always do each year.

The streets were cram packed and getting around without someone walking into me or hitting me with their bikes was wearying me more. And just to think, the shots I could have taken if only I’d got the camera with me. Huh!

To the bus stop, and again, no one to talk to on the journey.

Got in the flat and tended to a WRWW, and put some pain gel on the feet and knees then took an extra Codeine 30g with the evening medications.

7sun01aGot the fodder cooking.

Roast parsnips, a few oven chips, sweet potatoes which I mashed with just a bit of sea salt, peeled an apple, tomatoes, Chicken thighs, boiled egg and a good mix of Crock-pot seasoned vegetables, swede, parsnips, turnips, carrots, peas, mushrooms and leeks, all overdone just how I like em. I’d left them slow cooking while I’d been out, having started the pot off hours before that. v

The American sweet potatoes were mega sweet. Had two slices of the last of the Sainsbury sourdough bread with butter with the meal. Couldn’t eat it all, but enjoyed trying to. Hehe!

Tried to watch some TV I’d picked out from the magazine, which turned out even a more farcical happening than usual. Off to kip after a few minutes, woke for a few, back to kip for a few… on and on this went. Why I didn’t give up and get my head down I don’t know… oh yes I do! I wanted to watch the double shows of ‘Hetty Wainthrope Investigates’. I didn’t see much of them, perhaps three or four few minute periods of the  two-hour show between kipping?

Humph!

Sorry about the lack of photographicalisations.

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today: Friday 9th December 2016 – At least I got out today: But at a cost. Hehe!

Dutch: Vrijdag 9 December 2016

0430hrs: Well, what a surprise this morning. Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis, Harry Hernia, Roger Reflux Valve, Duodenal Daniel and Inchies Lesion were all being kind to me! Haemorrhoid Harold was overly leaking blood, and the pain behind the eyes was a lot less bothersome, seemed like I’d woke up a new person?

Off for a WRHD session. Haemorrhoid Harold was overly leaking blood, and the pain behind the eyes was a bit bothersome, but overall, though, I’d woke up a new person?

Today, I hope to visit Olive around 0900hrs, then go to the shops via the L9 bus and get some nosh in. Take some photographs for the TFZer site, might try the Arno Hill Park if all goes to plan, fetch the Betamethasone Cream from the chemists, and call in the Winwood Centre. But we’ll see? Collected the bird seed and earthworm sticks and put them in the bag ready.

Got some potatoes on the boil to use later, probably roast them whole?

Took the morning medications. As I got the computer going and started doing the diaries, another call to the porcelain arrived: This time it was not such a pleasant happening! Talk about struggle, I finished reading the last two chapters of the book, and still no completion of the required activities.

As I got the computer going and started doing the diaries, another call to the porcelain arrived: This time it was not such a pleasant happening! Talk about struggle, I finished reading the last two chapters of the book, and still no completion of the required activities. Half-in and half-out I sat there not sure of how long I’d been on the porcelain… Eventually, much to my delight at the easing of the pain, the task was over. The Claret coloured liquid was flushed away, and I took walked with a newly acquired gate to the kitchen and took a Senna with another mug of tea.

Suddenly I didn’t feel as upbeat as I was when I first woke!

A quick bash on Facebook to try and catch-up a bit.

I nipped to Olive’s flat to collect any jars or rubbish bags she has that needed removing, get an uplifting cuddle and get told off several times for several things. But she does tell me so nicely. Also, I collected her two Nottingham City Homes Questionnaires she had filled in to drop off at the Community Shed, along with those I’d filled in.

Took the things and wandered down and out to the bottle-bank, then around and back towards the bus stop dropping off the surveys at the Winwood Hut on the table along with some others that had been left there. No one was in.

Caught the 0930hrs L9 into Sherwood, after having a most pleasant gossip and laugh with several other tenants at the bus stop, then had a chat with the other passengers and the driver en route!

The weather was uncommonly warm this morning. Arrived in Arnold and called into the Sainsbury store. Where much money left my pockets as I bought a few items. Cooked chestnuts on Special Offer (Four packets), Roast Chicken Thighs, Royal Surimi (2), Pea-Rice snacks also on offer (Four packages) and managed to get a store baked Sourdough loaf, and they sliced it for me in thick slices on the bakery department. Spent over £20 here.

Hobbled, (the feet seemed painful for some reason)  along to the Fulton Food Store and got a bottle of sterilised milk and another packet of Rice-Peas in a multipack of six small ones, could take these with me when going on a marathon walk? Only spent £1.58 here.

5fri01Crossed over the road and had a wander around Asda-Walmart, starting in the clothing section.

Spotted these rings on a display stand, they were very reasonably prices, and I thought I’d take the photo so I can use it as a Guess the Price competition or something similar on the TFZer site.

Bought some loose fitting undies and some socks. Spent £16 plus! Tsk!

Into the food hall and spent some more dosh. A smoked ham for Christmas and the New Year, satays, turnip, tomatoes, carrots and peas, strong blue stilton cheese, and 5fri02some cheesy rolls. £14 plus. But the smoked ham cost £7.

Total spent £51.14. Oh heck!

Out of the store and walked to the bus-stop.

Not many folks about for a Friday?

At the stop behind the Asda-Walmart store, I had a chinwag with some of the girls waiting 5fri05for their buses.

One or two of them had another natter on the bus as we wended out ways home.

I enjoyed all the gossip and laughter I’d been lucky enough to have today.

Despite the feet and legs giving me grief, I was beginning to feel contented with my lot this Friday. When I got in the flat, a weariness of extraordinary severity overcame me, and I was once again a different person?

Realised as I unloaded the two shopping bags, that the bird food for the ducks at Arno Hill Park was still there, and I’d forgotten to call and see them. Humph!

Got the fodder on the go.

The INR anticoagulation result arrived. The appointment for the next test given was next Tuesday, the 13th. There was no way the surgery could fit me in at such short notice. So it will be a mega walk to the hospital for me. Always the same this time of year it seems. What with the mail being so busy. I get late notifications. Email the surgery, they cannot fit me in, and I have to struggle to the hospital haematology for the next test. This is a great disappointment to me. The surgery having new receptionist has caused me hiatus after hiatus. The old girls there, when they got the result at the surgery through their computer, would make me an appointment and ask via email if I could attend, I’d respond by email thanking them, and all was working well for me. Now, they do not even email at all but will phone me to tell me after the date given that I have not attended, I will explain all as I just have and they will say “Oh well, you got it done!” I’d like to complain really but dare not with all my ailments, this might upset them and make them take me off their list. Feeling depressed again now, but I’ll have to put up with it.

5fri06Got the meal served up.

Chicken thighs, beetroot, tomatoes, boiled then baked potatoes, Scotch egg, chicken sticks, strong blue Stilton cheese and vinegar pea-rice.

Not as good as I thought it might be this effort.  The Sourdough bread and Anchor Butter was the best I’ve ever tasted, though!

The potatoes, chicken thighs and sticks along with the Stilton were all marvellous tasting. The beetroots were so hard, I gave up trying to cut them and left them to their own devices. The Scotch egg’s sausage meat tasted like cardboard, the breadcrumbs were soft and wet, although the egg was okay. Hey-ho!

I got the clothes and accoutrements needed for the laundry room in the morning all ready.

Planned which programs I wanted to fall asleep watching, and promptly did so.

Inchcock Today Wednesday 7th December 2016

Wednesday 7th December 2016

Maltese: L-Erbgħa Diċembru 7, 2016

0250hrs: Woke, disappointed in not remembering the dreams again. Felt all warm and snug in my freshly washed last night dressing gown. It was nice not to have to sleep in my gloves and woolly hat.

3wed02Out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair without any hiatus and off for a WRWW.

Took the medications with water, then made a strong mug of tea and got the computer going. Updated the diaries to here.

Posted yesterdays.

Busy time ahead for a couple of days it seemed when I viewed the Google Calendar first job.

A call for a WRHD session from the bowels was answered. No water on the floor around the porcelain again thankfully.

And the bleeding from Little Inchy had stopped, Haemorrhoid Harold bled a lot less than yesterday and Anne Gyna was being kind to me again.

I looked at the cleaned clothes from yesterday’s laundry session, covered in little bits of blue fabric from the dressing gown and did not fancy the job of picking off the thousands of bits. Decided to take them to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop with the other stuff, soon as I get the time that is.

Started this diary off.

Time was getting short now. I had to get the ablutions done early as the Morrisons delivery is coming early today. Had a quick bash on Facebooking. Found many photographs I’d like to doctor and use later, saved them, cause no time to do them yet.

Tended to the ablutionalisational duties. Couldn’t use the shower cause of the noise it would make so early in the day (0625hrs) Si did a strip stand-up using the lavender soap and spray.

I could have ululated when I stubbed my toe on the trolley again, Tsk!

Changed into the day togs and made another cuppa and back on the computer to make a start on the graphics to do from the photographs I got earlier.

Well well well, another cock-up from Inchcock! It got to 0845hrs and no Morrison delivery had arrived, so I checked on the email confirmation and found I’d booked it for the 14th, not the 7th!

What an absolute plonker!

So, no bread to have, ’cause I’ve got that many tings on today, no time to get out. I do feel a fool again!

Susan, the foot lady came earlier that arranged, no bother with that, she got on with giving my feet pain with that damned round file thing again. We had a nice chinwag that I enjoyed, though.

Ten minutes after she had gone, the M&S cleaners arrived. Both gals in high spirits and much laughter followed… not much cleaning, but still.

I had some nibbles, very rare for me that in the day.

On with graphic creating for a few hours, then did a bit of Facebooking.

3wed03The Iceland delivery arrived.

The short-dated products outnumbered the others.

Got them put way, placing the root growing smelly bag of potatoes in a drawer on their own.

Thank you, Iceland.

Got the Cumberland sausages in the oven, the plan being to have them with the potatoes boiled. The phone rang. A wrong number; and forgot to put the potatoes on the boil.

3wed04So, it was to be baked Cumberland sausages  with BBQ sauce and the last of the hastily defrosted frozen bread from the freezer.

Not a nice effort at all.

Being generous, I rated this nosh a satisfaction score of 4/10.

They tasted rather hot and spicier than usual.

Took the evening medications.

3wed05It had been a lot warmer today, and again the falling sun was beautiful.

The phone rang –(blimey twice in a week, was I getting popular, was someone becoming xenodochial?)

T’was the Flat Complex head honcho, Obergruppenfurheress Deana, she needs to talk to me and will be here at 0900hrs in the morning! Dang dang dang dang! I wondered why?

Settled down and this may be hard to believe, but I watched over five hours of TV without nodding off! In fact, it was well gone midnight before I managed to nod off at all!

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 6th December 2016: Irritations, vexations, nuisances and annoyances, one of those days!

2tue001

Tuesday 6th December 2016

Samoan: 6 Aso Lua Tesema 2016

“The bellicoseness of essential communicational daily activities is wearing me down.”

Kept waking and nodding off again several times, the body telling me I needed to go for a WRWW, the mind telling me I needed sleep? The body won in the end, and around 0310hrs I tackled the job of getting out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair.

2tue001a

I’m getting organised now with the sleeping arrangements.

Hehe! The new thick cushion under the beautiful warm cover on the recliner was very comfortable and made it far easier for me to extract my mass from it when I got up out of it.

There was no leaked water around the porcelain in the wetroom this morning at all? This will please the plumbers when and if they arrive on Thursday won’t it? Put me right in their black book… Tsk oh dear!

2tue03I put the towel on the airer number two in the hallway and turned it on. Ready for the ablutions later, bet it will be nice and warm. In fact, it is just outside the wet room door.

I might leave it there until after the shower and grab it straight from the bars, all nice and warm when I need it?

Getting nesh in my old age methinks?

2tue01Went to get the undies socks and warm shirt from the airing cupboard and used the new battery powered light I’d stuck on the inside of the door for the first time.

If nothing else, it helps me avoid catching my knuckles on the sharp edges of the pipes and wood plank splinters.

Of course, Dumbo here fitted it upside down, so the light comes on with the switch in the up position.

2tue04Took the medications, made a cup of tea, had a WRWW and got the computer going. Spent a good while on WordPressing and then checked the Google Diary for today and a few days to come yet.

Looks rather busy again for me. I’ve tried to arrange as many things that require me to be in the flat, for Wednesdays. Cause I have to be in then for the cleaners and foot lady Susan.

Did some Facebooking, mustn’t take too long over this, as I need to get the ablutions done by 0930hrs so I can make a steady hobble to Carrington and the surgery for the INR Warfarin blood level tests. I’ve got the nurses nibbles in the bag ready. Might call into Lidle and get some tomatoes and bread, then have to get back in time for the Builders meeting at the Winwood shed. Not that I anticipate being able to hear anything mind, but Obergruppenfurheress Deana wants as many of us tenants as possible to attend.

Got an email from Andy in Canada asking for details of the porcelain leak, which I supplied. His advice given was “Keep an eye on the floor by the toilet bowl – before you use the shower it should be dry.” And as the plumber said to the Doctor when he was called late at night about a leaking toilet, ” throw two aspirins into it and call me in the morning “. Cheers Gerry.

I love his sense of humour!

Iceland order put in.

Ablutions tended to and nipped to see Olive. She said to let them come anyway so they can check it out.

2tue05Off out to the surgery in Carrington.

I noticed these whatever they are on the bushes at the end of the road.

Dark blue berries of some sort, full of seeds, some appear new growth and some dying.

Wondered what they were like?

Onward down to Mansfield Road and left into Carrington.

2tue06A Sherwood Pavement Cyclist approached me, and I bravely took his photo.

A right hoodie, with a mask on as well.

Down to the surgery and did the crosswords while waiting my turn.

The nurse soon tended to me, gave them their nibbles and out down into Carrington. Where, as I passed the launderette, I saw BJ in there. Popped in for a chinwag with him.

Then into the Lidl shop and got some stuff, out to the bus stop and a bus into Sherwood. Called into the Birds shop and got a cream cake. Naughty!

I had a new type of dizzy spell, instant, frit me a bit.

Had a great chinwag and laughed with some lady tenants as we waited for the bus, and another on the bus. They were all going to go to the Winwood meeting at 1400hrs.

When we arrived back at the flats, the mist and fog had descended.

2tue07

Put the fodder away, having a salad tonight I’ve decided.

Made a cup of tea and heard a noise I thought. Found out its letters coming through the mailbox. Both from Nottingham City Homes regarding the non-working storage radiator, which was reported on the 1st November, tended to on 30th November, failed to work and revisited me on  3rd December and is now working: Both letters inform me that they will attend to sort out the problem on Wednesday 21st December?

What? Eh?

2tue08

They do confuse me!

Tried to repair the broken trouser zip – failed

Made another brew and updated this diary.

Caught up on Facebook.

Walked to the Winwood Centre Shed for the meeting. Packed solid, no chance of hearing anyone talking, so gave up and departed. As I returned, I noted that no one was in the laundry room, took the opportunity to fetch the remaining washing down and got it in the washer.

Up and got the fodder prepared, salad sort of, tonight.

Back down and moved the things into the dryer and started it. The filter had not been cleaned again. Realised I’d made a faux pas putting the new dressing gown in with the other stuff. Bit’s of blue fluff had attached them to every piece of clothing! I tried to remove some of then, but they didn’t have it.

The fog was mysteriously disappearing as quickly as it came.

Got the meal things prepared on the plate, Buttered cheesy topped cobs, beetroot, pickled mushrooms, Mixed Chinese mushrooms in olive oil, sliced tomatoes, mushroom pate on the plate and covered with foil. The saucepan of water was heating up ready to cook the Mushroom Tortelloni in when I got back from retrieving the laundry and went down again to the laundry room.

Oh dear, what a mess to sort out with the dressing gown bits seemingly infesting all the other clothes looking a bit like Smallpox! That will be for later, though, finishing the 2tue09meal is most important at the moment.

Boiled the Mushroom Tortellini in the salted water for the prescribed 6-7 minutes. Never had this before, and after I’ve eaten the remaining half of the packet later, I don’t think I’ll bother having again.

Tasteless, bland and mushrooms contained in the pasta was an insipid paste.

The rest of the meal, though, was grand and lip-smackingly good. Shame about the Tortellini.

My EQ didn’t vaticinate well for me tomorrow for some reason.

Having a WRWW, another instant dizzy spell hit me.

Settled to watch some TV and indeed I managed to for a couple of hours or so. During the commercial break just before Law & Order came on I drifted off.

Inchcock Today, Monday 5th December 2016: Another day indoors, but, busy busy!

1mon01

Monday 5th December 2016

Polish: Poniedziałek 05 Grudnia 2016

Woke a few times during the night, even wrote down some notes about the dreams on the pad; but could not read much of them later. Picked out the odd word or two, chased and falling being the only ones I could determine for sure. It was almost as if someone else had written them, nothing like my own handwriting?

Eventually rose out of the £300 second-hand recliner at about 0430hrs or so, and noticed the evening medications pot from last night, with the tablets still in it! As I wondered how I was gaining in senility, it dawned on me that it was nice and warm this morning – Aha! the radiator was working! Yehaa! I must email the Nottingham City Homes Repair Team and thank them for taking only 35 days to get it mended. Oh, I am sarcastic at times!

Off to the porcelain for a WRHD session, a lot easier this morning, Haemorrhoid Harold was still bleeding of course. The kitchen towels I’d put around where the leak yesterday was changed for new ones. I was surprised that there was so little water this time. It seems to be an intermittent leak? Sometimes a puddle, others a few drops?

The knees legs and wrists were not too much bother at all, even Anne Gyna and Roger Reflux were taking a rest. A bit disquieting in a way, this. Hehe!

Made a brew and started doing the  diaries on the WordPress blog, and remembered I was going to get the laundry done, so packed up on the computer, all the things were already prepared for the washing session, so down to the laundry room. Got it started in the washer, and back up to continue the diaries for a while.

1mon04Half an hour later, down to move the clobber into the dryer.

Someone had failed to clean the filter again, Tsk!

I observed that the ceiling had been decorated in readiness for the 25th of December celebrations.

Dryer going and up again to carry on doing the diaries. Made another cuppa and sorted some graphics to use.

Down to collect the washing. Found Olive in the laundry room, cheered me up no end this did. A cuddle and chinwag and she said she would call the 1mon03Nottingham City Homes Repair Team for me about the WC porcelain leak. She is so good to me.

Cleaned the filter and got the clothes in the bag and back up to the apartment, the warm apartment!

It’s taking me a while to resist wearing my gloves and dressing gown. Hehe!

Put the clothing away. Then got the Crock-Pot vegetables going. I’m intending to try and reproduce a meal similar to yesterday’s, cause it was super!

The doorbell sounded, it was Olive, telling me hse had contacted the NCH and they would be calling today to investigate the leak. I thanked her proficiently.

1mon05Seasoned the vegetables and got them going on the low setting.

Spotted the kitchen thermometer telling me it was only 58°f. Checked outside temp, to find it is only 30°f.

Thank heavens the storage radiator had been mended and working last night!

Dropped the jug of gravy I was making… Huh! Mopped the floor up.

Back to doing the diaries and graphics.

Then onto Facebooking.

I’m not too confident in the Nottingham City Homes Repairmen coming today, let’s review their record to date:

DSCF0238  P1060071

  1. They arrived to seal up the holes in the kitchen walls to stop the draughts coming in. They left the higher up one like the photo on the right. Then the filling ran down the walls over the electric sockets. Still like this now.
  2. 403aThey informed me the wetroom installation would take four to five working days to complete. Sixteen, I say 16 days later, it was completed! But the quality of the jb on this occasion was very very good and the fitter worked cleanly clearing up after himself.
  3. When the electricians arrived to connect up, they honestly made more mess in one hour than the fitter made in 16 days!
  4. Then, when the Radiator stopped working, I was told it would be 30 days before they could attend. But they would supply a heater on loan for me – which they never did. On the 30th November, a chap arrived, reset the radiator and asked for the heater that never arrived back. Off he went.
  5. The heater did not work, so Olive called them, and they told her they would be here in four hours. They never arrived.
  6. Olive called them again two days later, they will arrive in four hours again. They did. The chap soon found the problem, the other expert had turned off the power to work on resetting the radiator, and had forgotten to turn it back on. He did so, and wallah! I had heat that very night!

Now I await the arrival within four hours again of their plumber – scared? worried? anticioating their non-arrival? Me? Yes!

Back on Facebooking, listening to Dean Martin though the headphones on YouTube.

The rest of the Coopers order arrived. Made the dryer up, the light for the airing cupboard and the cushion for the chair looks perfect.

Olive called, the Nottingham City Homes Repair Team had called her, they will not be calling today, but Thursday. Well fancy that, how did I know? Thanked her muchly. This will mean me missing Thursdays Social Hour again no doubt. Another day stuck indoors for nothing, and I bet Thursday will be another one. Humph!

Got the dinner cooking and took the cardboard down to the caretaker,s room.

1mon06TV plans made.

Nosh worked on.

Managed to get it like the one yesterday, and was pleased with the outcome.

Got the things prepared for the INR blood test in the morning at 1020hrs, nibbles, paperwork etc. Must not forget the Tenants Update Meeting at 1400hrs in the Winwood Centre afterwards.

Put the tray to one side while I turned on the TV, sat down and drifted off…
