Inchcock Today: Thursday 9th March 2017 -Worra day!

4Thur03

Thursday 9th March 2017

Welsh: Dydd Iau 9 Mawrth, 2017

Woke around 0230hrs, doing my bestest to recall the dreams, but not much luck again. Themes and feelings from them yes, this time a happier atmosphere, but no details. Tsk! Deliberated on life in great depth – two minutes later I dismounted the scarily shuddering £300 second-hand recliner and off to the porcelain.

Little Inchy had been bleeding, he always seems to after the medicos take their samples and prod and poke him at the examinations. Not too bad, though, I got the new cream out of the fridge and applied both that and the old one… too late I remembered they told me to use them on alternate days, Tsk! Did my best to removed all of it and reapplied the new one again. No ablutions yet, too early to risk disturbing the neighbours.

Made a mug of tea and took the medications, I did do the Health Checks but decided to carry out the weighing later when I have my shower, and all the clothing will be off this magnificently misshaped wobbly body. Hehe!

The BP was a bit low, well, the Sys (142) was, anyway. So when I made another cuppa, I did them again, this time up to (151), so no worries.

4Thur05

Onto WordPress and finalised yesterday’s diary and got it posted.

Started doing the graphic for the top first.

Moved onto Facebook.

4Thur04Had a good long shave, cleaned teggies, scrub-up under the shower; using the back brush, scouring sponge and Dettol soap.

Then dried off and medicated, creamed and lotioned the areas in need of the same. Oiled the ear-holes, applied the deodorants, then weighed me self while naked…

And still, the flipping untrustworthy dial indicated that I had gained weight again! Tsk!

Got the nibbles and prizes ready for the Winwood Tenants Social Hour meeting and set off with them… got as far as the lift and realised I’d forgotten to check the kitchen, so returned and was so glad I did, I’d left the tap running. Turned it off, and the wet-room light I’d left on as well (Huh), out to the lift once more, pressed the button… then returned to the flat to collect the hearing aids. Sad, is not the word is it?

Had a natter with Roys wife in the lobby before her taxi arrived, then out to the Winwood Social Hut for the meeting. So happy that I could get to one again at last.

It was Eddy’s 94th birthday today. Sarnies and cake supplied for him by the group. BJ was late, nothing unusual there with him (Hehe), and he was in fine form and looking well fit. Nice little chinwags, gave out the nibbles and went back to the flats having a laugh with some ladies as we struggled to get back in the high winds.

4Thur05Got in the flat and as I made a strong cuppa to have before going out again, I espied some wood pigeon or doves right over in the copse way off in the distance. A sure sign that the growth on the trees were returning. Took a few shots, this being the only one that came out decently.

Looking at it closer later, when I posted it, they’re three birds, (I thought there were only two) all having a kip by the look of it. The leaf/twig in front of the far one, almost makes it look like a swan?

Mum, Dad and offshoot? Bootiful!

4Thur11Got the bags and set out to the bus stop and caught the L9 into Nottingham after a gossip with some tenants.

The Ladybirds, or Ladybugs to the Americans, were rampant on the concrete pillars and seats in the bus shelter again today.

Called in the Victoria Centre to get some of the dark chocolate cashew nuts, but they had sold-out. Went to the Jamaican food stall and got the last two tins of Shiitake & PoKu mushrooms. Then caught a bus to Bulwell to have a look for bargains in the cheap food shops there. After wandering around for over two hours or so, I realised that there were none of any interest to me.

Decided to go back to town on the tram, but having just missed one, I caught (Or so I thought) the bus back to town. I settled with the crossword book for a good while, when I looked up, I had no idea where I or the bus was! Extreme Whoopsiedangleplop! Having the comfort of the Pensioners Bus Pass in my power, I let it take me on, and after going through many estates, some I recognised, I knew we were going towards Arnold, so I stayed on and luckily, over an hour after getting on the wrong bus, I got off at the back of Asda in Arnold.

Noticed the bus I got off of was a City Loop one, I was none the wiser. However a bit of luck here, I noticed on the read out board for the stop, the L9, which will take me to the flats, was due in five minutes! Fifteen minutes later it arrived, and I was so pleased. Hehe!

I’d been into town, got two tins of mushrooms, went to Bulwell found nothing I wanted, got lost ending up in Arnold and caught a bus back to the flats… over four hours lost in getting two tins of mushrooms! And I forgot to go to the bank. Hehehe!

A rather inefficacious outing to say the least.

Back at the flats and hastily as I could manage into the porcelain room. Phew, just in the nick of time, too! Little Inchy got caught in the haste for his services, and the blood flowed. Tsk! Cleaned up changed togs and applied the Anti-fungal OTC cream.

Letter from the bank had been received, put it to one side to read when I was in a more receptive mood.

4Thur12Got the fodder prepared.Easy job today, I’d left the mushrooms in the slow cooker and they were ready.

An easy job today, I’d left the mushrooms in the slow cooker and they were ready.

Tin of curried beans and some crispy streaky smoked bacon were added, a pot of Lemon Fool and a banana for afters.

I felt well drained and a bit of a fool myself, with the Whoopsidangleplop on the bus.

Washed the pots and settled to watch some more of the Doctor Who DVD.

Little Inchy had responded well to the new cream and didn’t leak at all from then on.

1800hrs: Turned over to the TV to watch Heartbeat… don’t remember much more until I woke around 2300hrs. This time I tried to recall the dreams I just knew I’d been having without any luck at all, then just drifted off back into the land of nod again.

Worra day!

Inchcock Today: Wednesday 8th March 2017 – Busy but betterer day!

Wednesday 8th March 2017

Sudanese: Kemis 9 Maret 2017

3Wed03

A  fragmentary dream filled sleep, with sporadic waking up and fretting over everything and nothing. Found I’d made more notes about the nightmares, but none of them readable at all. I do hate it when this happens. I go weeks without remembering any dreams, then a few days clarity and back to the mystery. Hey-ho!

0400hrs: Out of the  £300 wobbly second-hand recliner and to the porcelain. Good this morning, no bleeding anywhere. Duodenal Daniel and Roger Reflux were giving me what for, but easily endurable at the time. Pondered as I sat there on the throne, about what needed attention and action today. Morrison’s delivery 0630 >0730hrs, Dentist visit 0900hrs, Clinic 1130hrs and fresh bread needed.

Carried out the ablutions without getting any cuts shaving or bleeding from Inchies lesion. Things seemed to be going well. I was worried about this!

3Wed02Weighed me bulky, flobby, body. Down this morning, the first time for a while.  Into the kitchen and made a nice mug of tea, and did the health checks.

Into the kitchen and made a nice mug of Twinings English Breakfast tea. A bit scented, but nice occasionally. And did the health checks.

Then did the health checks and took the medications.

3Wed03The Morrison’s delivery driver arrived.

There seemed to be rather lot more fodder in the order today. So I set about sorting the stuff out

So I started sorting the stuff out.

I found the ‘Free’ Strawberry yoghourt pack and put it in the bag ready for when I get out, to drop it off at the Winwood Centre to give to Obergruppenfurheress’s Deana and Julie later.

I recall thinking about ordering some smoked streaky bacon when I did the order but thought I’d decided against this, as I had the Polish Bean Stew to have. But there were two packs of the stuff in there?

W3Computer activated and finished off yesterday’s diary and got it posted off, then started this one.

Cost me a good few hours of my life, and I was not really happy with the result, but I enjoyed doing it. I could tell things were improving in the depression stakes even if only a temporary situation, it cheered me a little and a very rare, warm contentment overcame me as I pressed on with graphicalisationing until it was nearly time to get myself ready for me to get out and do something for once.

I got the nibbles in the bag for the Wardens, record sheet for the Clinic and set out. Got as far as the lift and realised I had not taken the mobile with me, nipped back and collected it. Going down in the lift, it dawned on me I hadn’t got the hearing aids in… Tsk! Decided if I went back to the flat again, I’d be likely to be late for the dentist appointment, so plodded on without them.

I had a wond2tue09erfully warm laugh and conversation with a lady tenant in the lobby on my way out. Roy’s better half, who is as perfect a subject to lip-read as I have ever found.

Called at the bottle bank on Chestnut Grove first.

Then into the Winwood Hut to drop off the treats. Back, up Chestnut Walk, up the steep gravel hill passing the copse, (Anne Gyna let me know this was not a good idea, Hehe) left down through Woodthorpe Grange Park, left up Mansfield Road, over the hill and down to the Dentists. Had a bit of a farce trying to communicate with the receptionists without the hearing aids in. An assistant came down into the reception area to fetch me, this has never happened before, and I  realised she had been on the stairs behind calling my name without me hearing her for a while.

3Wed06I was booked in with a different dentist today, in a separate treatment room (Second floor), which involved my having to climb two set of stairs to get there. Luckily Arthur Itis was kind at that moment. (Although Anne Gyna was still annoyed at my walk up through the park) Dr Vitish Patel this time, Young Asian, designer stubble, handsome and with an almost entirely undecipherable voice.

The layout of the tiny room was different to the usual one and the chair easy to fall out of. The most surprising thing I noticed was the lack of dead insects in the ceiling lighting housing, compared to the usual room.

Got leant back and he carried out the checks within minutes and declared, I need a filling and a chipped front lower tooth repairing. The cracked tooth was not giving me any bother, mind you, the hole wasn’t either. I decided to have the filling done there and then when he offered to do it. Two minutes later, it was done.

Down to pay the characterless receptionist for the treatment, got next appointment and hobble out and down the road to the Wilko store. Where I bought a pack of cheap teaspoons to replace the mysteriously disappearing ones at the flat. Like the odd socks. I wonder if this happens to others? Also got some toilet blocks, bleach, antiseptic disinfectant, batteries for the radio, air spray and citrus deodorant.

Called in the bank, but the manager was unavailable today.

Back across the road and down to the Continental Deli shop. Where I spent, even more, money when I espied that they had some huge jars of Fasolka on the shelves, some bread and cooked belly pork with herbs.

3Wed04Made my way back up to Winchester Street Hill, in the hope of catching an L8 bus up to the flats, as I was now overloaded with heavy stuff in two bags. But the bus came around the corner as I was waiting to cross the road to the bus stop. Shame that!

I had to struggle up the hill with frequent stops to put the bags down and get me wind back.

As I arrived at the top and turned left towards 3Wed05the flats, I put the bags on the decaying roadside bench and stood for a few minutes, pondering on life in general.

The jargogle of thoughts served only to confuse me more about the reason for life’s creation.

Nowadays things are happening quicker, more intense, greedy, selfish, nihilistic… so much extra information and advice for the youngsters to absorb and understand.

Still, the day was warm and humid, and I was going to see Olive when I got in. The eerie sensation of semi-contentment attempting to overcome me unnerved my consciousness. I pondered on how long this would last and when the next Whoopsiedangleplop would arrive?

I pressed on and got into the flats and called on Olive. T’was like going into a room and being greeted with warmth and getting soaked in appreciation of being there.

She had the cleaner ladies with her, and she looked fantastic. She was going into hospital again next week, for the final tests to see if her Crohns disease will allow her to have her hip operation. Amazing woman, she looked cheery and chatted to me despite her obvious pain. I am honoured to know the lady. After a chinwag and laugh twixt us all, I gave her peck and returned with the bags to the flat.

3Wed02Put the shopping away and departed to catch the 40 bus straight to the clinic.

Mr Grumpy, was on the reception again today. Signed in and gave him the paperwork, took a seat and I waited to be called in. Good job I took the crossword book with me, because I got in alright, but 40 minutes after the appointment time. Still, they did look very busy.

They took the tissue sample, and the usual gang of students and nurses were joined by what appeared to be a new intake, all came to have a look (And have a snide poorly concealed giggle) as they peered through the gigantic lighted magnifying machine at Little Inchies lesion. After the examination proper, they took another sample (They probably found out it hurts? Hehe!) for further analysis. The Lady Doctor said she was pleased with the lesion’s depth reduction, but concerned about the swelling, and asked me detailed questions about recent activities in that area. Overall, it was improving, but infection is always possible and got the nurse to get me some new cream to use. This must be kept in the fridge and taken out only when I need to use it. Said this might help with the swelling and to use it along with the usual Daktacort Cream. She is to let me know the next appointment by email and letter.

Caught the bus (Thank heavens for the Pensioners Free Bus Pass) back to the flat, well drained and weary by then.

Got the nos3Wed08h on.

Roast spuds, mushrooms, garden peas, beetroot and some bread with belly pork and herb.

Maybe cause I was feeling a bit cheerier, I really did enjoy this one, and I gave it a deserved 9.59/10 rating.

Once I washed the pots and got settled into the £300 second-hand recliner, Anne Gyna gave me some peace and I got the DVD on to watch some Doctor Who episodes without falling asleep at all! Oh yes! Hehe!

When I changed to the TV to watch some selected programmes that I fancied… the first commercial break sent me off into the land of nod.

Thanks for reading folks!

Inchcock Today -Tuesday 7th March 2017

2Tue001

Tuesday 7th March 2017

Lithuanian: Antradienis kovas 7, 2017

I stirred in the second-hand £300 recliner chair around 0245hrs and thought of the dreams I’d been having, all I recalled was something about an interview in an office and my not knowing any of the answers to the questions demanding the same. This reminded me that I must search for the bank folder with the details and advice in it that I could not find last night. But first things first. 0300hrs: Out of the working shudderingly chair and to the porcelain room.

As I sat on the throne I had a period of febriculose. Although sore, Little Inchy had not been bleeding. Haemorrhoid Harold was bleeding just a little, but nowt to worry about. Duodenal Daniel and Anne Gyna both felt a little less severe than yesterday, so things were not looking bad at all.

I decided to get the laundry done first this morning. Down to the laundry room and got the stuff in the washer. Back up and had a search for the bank package… not luck, and panic was setting in. Had I left it at Olive’s? Had I thrown it in the bin for some reason? Oh Heck!

2Tue001aSoon time to go down and move the washing into the dryer.Up to the flat and got the computer on, made a mug of tea and had breakfast.

Up to the flat and got the computer on, made a nice strong (Thompson’s tea bags) mug of tea and had breakfast.

Got started on the blog and the time soon shot by, so down to retrieve the clothes from the 2Tue03Laundry room. All done by 0505hrs. Into the bag. cleaned the filters and wiped surfaces.

Up and put the clothes away, and I had a deep search for the bank wallet thingy. Amazingly. I found it in the first place I looked! It was between the other wallets in a stack 2Tue04that I did not look in between. Huh, worra clot! But a bit happier clot now. Hehe!

I did the kitchen floor, swept and mopped it. For some reason or other, I used the old mop that was a bit bedraggled? No idea why.

Back on the computer, updated the Morrison Order.

Last night I tried one of the Polish Fasolka jars of bean, bacon and sausage stew in tomatoes. I added some balsamic vinegar, and it was very nice indeed, so I added some to the Morrison’s order for Wednesday delivery.

2Tue07

I’ve got a free 4-pack of Greek strawberry yoghourt coming as well? My first thought was that I could hand this in as a raffle prize at the Winwood Social Hour on Thursday. Then pondered on whether something else would stop me attending this week again? Will the bank manager ever call me like he said he was going to? Will the clinic change any appointments again?

2Tue08At least tomorrow, I only have three things arranged yet, according to my Google Calendar anyway.

I must not forget the dentist.

Finished off yesterday’s diary and got it posted off into the ether.

Started this one off.

Wonder if the bank manager will call me today? I got an email from their head office or whatever this morning, no, yesterday it was – Welcoming me to the bank? Yet still, I have no solution to the Proof of ID problem?

W3Did some WordPress reading.

Then onto Facebooking.

Then Graphicalisationing.

Got this one finished for the TFZers site.

Then set about starting the daily feast.

Today I opted for something a little unconventional.

2Tue09Mushroom Rissoto, a sliced apple, a small can of vegetarian sausage and baked beans to be followed with a pot of Lemon Curd yoghourt.

This decision was prompted partly by the lack of choice in the fridge, of fodder to choose from – induced by my having to stay in so as not to miss the call from the new prospective Bank Manager for two days, that still has not arrived.

However, it was delicious. I added a drop of soy sauce to the rissoto. Very tasty! Things will improve option-wise shortly in the food options area, I’ve got the Morrison delivery coming tomorrow morning, I hope, between 0630 > 0730hrs.

Must remember the 0900hr dentist visit, as well as the Clinic… oh and call at the bank too on Wednesday (Tomorrow). Luckily no cleaners, nurses (Enoxaparin injections), Susan Chiropodist or INR blood tests arranged on this day.

Got changed and settled to watch some of the Dr Who DVD, then onto the TV… I don’t know why I bother mind, I’d kept drifting off and missed more that I watched. Nothing new there then. Hehe!

Early dreams that I made notes of that I found as I kept waking, but could not remember the dream or scribbling the notes? Not much of a clue. I’d written: Old dreams – Co-op, housing estate, delivery bike, ordering. That’s all. I assume with the word dream there, and that they were, actually notes about the dream, and not some sort of reminder of things for me to do? Sad innit?

Think I drifted off around midnight.

Inchcock – Sunday 5th March 2017: Abysmal depression

7sun03

Sunday 5th March 2017

Danish: Søndag 5 Marts 2017

After a night of dreadful dreams again, a mixed bag this night, but all unwanted and not nice. Well, that’s not strictly right, I recall one of them a bit. I was sat high up in a tree in a wood of some sort and animals were climbing up to me one at a time and somehow I taught them to speak and recognise the English language? They, in turn, decided if they wanted to keep these skill or not, and the next one would arrive. Seem to remember birds, a cat and a snake?

At 0130hrs I had to get out of the £300 second-hand recliner and make for the porcelain – as soon as I stood up I realised that either Little Inchy or Haemorrhoid Harry had been bleeding. I felt down enough as it was, without this. Struggled to evacuate the tummy innards as I found that both of the little bleeders had bled. Tsk! Put the clothes in a bucket of soapy disinfected water and hobbled (Yes, Arthur Itis was bothersome along with the same as yesterday, Anne Gyna and Duodenal Daniel joined in) to the kitchen to make myself a mug of tea and do the first Health Checks.

7sun04aPut two potatoes with some basil and sea salt into the pan on a low heat (Far too early I realised later). Too late to turn them off without spoiling them, I left them on and I’ll mash them and add the cheese and leave it until later to put them in the oven to roast.

Recognised that I’d missed doing the weighing on the checks so stripped off revealing my magnificent body (All right, enough of that laughing… hehe!) and did so.

7sun06I’ve now completed twp weeks of records on the new spreadsheet. The weekly averages in red showed little change – until I realised I’d put today’s weight in the wrong format. Changed it now and it reads average 14.76 instead of.. oh I’ve made a mess of this altogether. I’m not sure if I can get it in Stones and Pounds? I’ll ask Tim in America if I remember to. If anyone can help, he’s the man.

7sun04As I went through to make another mug of tea, the view outside was nice. Shadows of the hill and flats with a dark sky with the sunshine sneaking through from behind. Which has now gone (The Sun)

Took the medications and applied the creams lotions and ear oil.

I find myself wanting to be doing something all the while in an effort to avoid thinking of the bank problems and if I stop, the ailment pains seem more noticeable?

7sun05 Sorted out the second draw of medications where I keep the daily doses when set-up, and some creams, ulcer medicine (Even though not very effective) and the BP machine.

I opened the window to clean the edge and was surprised at how cold it was. The internal thermometer was reading 60°f – 16°c. That’ll teach me to leave things alone – I knocked the flask off of the shelf as I shut the window. Needless to say, it broke!

Depressed even further now.

Back on the computer and did the diary posts to date. Had a dizzy a while ago, but it was not bad at all and only lasted a minute or so.

7sun02aDid some graphicalisationing on Corel Draw & Corel Paint.

This was the last one of three I got finished off.

Took a good while, during which the door chime rang out!

Nervous but excited I opened the door, naturally expecting a busty female in need of compassion, or Olive calling, or BJ or Sister calling or maybe even I’d won something?

No, it was a neighbour wanting some 20p pieces so he could use the launderette.

Had some nice comments received on the WordPress blog.

Went on Facebook, but without my usual zest. Worried about the bank situation too much and what will happen tomorrow.

1mon02Sliced the boiled red spuds up and into the oven for an hour. Garden peas in the saucepan. Beetroots, sliced apple, silverskin pickled onions and pork & mushroom pate all onto the plate ready.

Fell asleep for a while, but woke in time and got the nosh served up with a lemon yoghourt.

I’d not done much other than fret and computer work all day, so it was no surprise that I could not get to sleep, even watching the TV didn’t send me off into the land of nod.

Well gone midnight before I drifted into the hellish dreams again.

Inchcock: Saturday 4th March 2017

6sat001

I hate myself when I feel like this!

Saturday 4th March 2017

Welsh: Dydd Sadwrn 4 Mawrth, 2017

Yesterday I nosedived into dysphoria at the news and complications with the bank. I spent most of the night awake pondering, regretting and feeling self-pity. I cannot see a solution. This was in-between nod-offs when dreams permeated and I’m sure made me feel worse, but I cannot recall actual details of any of the short dispiriting dreams, just a sense of defeatism and frustration.

Around 0300hrs I disentangled myself from the £300 second-hand recliner, no demands for the using of the porcelain yet, strange that for me.

Made another brew and did the first Health Checks.

3wed04Got the mucky clothes ready and went down to the Laundry Room.

Met fellow tenant Roy doing his laundry and we had a nice chinwag and laugh.

Got the washer going and up to the flat. Still no movement in the porcelain situation.

Made a mug of tea.

Carried out the second Health Check.

5fri12a

The weight seems to be going up and up? The temperature is too. Not that I was too concerned about this, in my low mood.

Back down and moved the clothing into the dryer. Back up to the flat again.

6sat04Sorted the medication dosage pots out.

Got the computer on and started these diaries on WordPress.

I have worried about suffering uhtceare, but not any longer do I worry about it, it has become the norm for me each and every morning.

Back down again to collect the now dried washing.

Up and put the clobber away.

Updated the excel readings and found the word uhtceare and loved it, so I used it as in the above. UHTCEARE: “There is a single Old English word meaning ‘lying awake before dawn and worrying.’ Uhtceare is not a well-known word even by Old English standards, which were pretty damn low. In fact, there is only one recorded instance of it actually being used.” Ten rare English Words to use

I’m now hoping someone will notice I’ve used this most appropriate and suitable word, and maybe I can become famous? Forget it, not my luck. Humph!

Spent a good few hours on WordPressing, then went onto Facebook.

Got the nosh and did the final health checks and took the medications.

So tired and full of angst about the bank problems, fretting too. Anne Gyna was causing me great discomfort in the extreme tonight.

Damnations, Duodenal Daniel has started off now.

Humph!

Inchcock Today – Fri 3rd March 2017: Increased contentment, then Depression returns!

Friday 3rd March 2017

פרייטאג מערץ 3, 2017 Yiddish

5fri11I stirred around 0130hrs, extracted myself out of the recliner and to the porcelain. Pleased to report no bleeding, although, the hands and arms had acquired a rash of some sort?

Did the early Health Checks, the weight had gone up a bit?

Got a drink of orange juice and photographed the hand, then I returned once again to the £300 second-hand recliner to settle once more.

I noticed I had written something on the pad I keep handy to make notes of any dreams or any things I remember need doing, during the night. All I’d wrote was: floods, river, cave and dark?

Nodded off and stirred again at 0315hrs. The porcelain needed attending again (Oh, dear!). Made a flask of tea to last me a while, and onto the computer to do the diaries. Finished Thursday’s and posted it.

Then on CorelDraw to work on a graphic for the TFZ site.

Got the new header updated: Trimmed and posted to go in with the others.

new02

4thur04Got the vegetables cut up and into cold water in the Crock-Pot ready to put on when I go out to see Pete later.

Rang Olive to get permission to visit her on my way back fro the meeting and shopping.

Did the ablutions and got things ready to take with me that I needed, passed wing and set out to catch the bus in plenty of time.

5fri02So sad to see the tree that was in the centre of the green now gone, just the trump left, Humph!

A new Scottish resident who rarley speaks or even answers when anyone says anything to him, like, ‘Good morning’, was ranting away in his strong accent about the destruction of the trees.

Listened to a few residents chibwagging while waiting to catch a bus, but I was the only one wanting the L9 destined for the City Centre.

5fri01I noticed that each nad every one of the concrete bollards has its own Loveliness of Ladybirds that seemed to have settled together on the tip of each post.

The other two came and went and I waited in the drizzle and wind another ten minutes for the City bus, which eventually arrived very late. This could not be avoided due to roadworks in Daybrook delaying all the traffic at the mement.

The other two buses came and went and I waited in the drizzle and wind another ten minutes for the City bus, which eventually arrived very late. This could not be avoided due to roadworks in Daybrook delaying all the traffice at the mement.

Arrived in town and dropped off into the rain on Upper Parliament Street and hobbled into the Victoria Centre.

Had a good walk around the Market, didn’t buy anything though. Down to the lower level and popped into the HMV shop, got a Jonathon Creek DVD. I was feeling far more cheerful than I have done for a good while.

Then into Tesco and got some bits, bread, bacon and Sopocka loin.

Out then to meet Pete at his bus stop. Gave im the pressies and nibbles, had a few minutes gossip and then went over the road to catch the last L9 bus back to the flats.

Into the flat and put the things away, went to check on the Crock-Pot vegetables and found that I had not put turned pot on! This started my sinking into a self loathing and pitying depression again…

I called in to see Olive and she had a look at the paperwork from the bank for me – while doing this, I got a phone call on the mobile from the bank manager – It seems that one of the qualifying items I’d supplied, from the Council Tax, had got the wrong postcode on it and is no acceptable. He is going to give me time to look for another statement from the m with 2016-2017 on it… which of course is impossible, as only one statement is issued a year?

He said he would phone me on Monday to see if I had found one. If Olive had not been there, I would have cried out loud.

I left Olive a different person to how I was when I arrived there. Morbid, listless and morose, dispitirited, woebegone and utterley depressed.

5fri04Back to the flat and had a meal, Mushroom Risotto, vegetable sausages (Very nice), chestnut, shiitasha and Po-Ku mushrooms and crispy bacon;

It should have been a wonderful nosh, but how I was feeling, so low now, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I should have.

To make things worse, I carried out the last Health Check and I’d put on 2lb from yesterday?

Feeling melancholy, lugubrious and so sorry for missen.

I hate me when I get like this.

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 28th February 2017: Got out and about, but Anne Gyna didn’t like it, Tsk!

2tue03

Tuesday 28th February 2017

Swahili: Jumanne Februari 28, 2017

Having got through the night of horrendous dreams, rooftop chases, falling in the canal, underground caves, being chased in sewers, decapitated by Roman soldiers… I’m sure there were many more events that took place in my slumbers, but these ones I can recall. I think I woke up feeling wearier than I went to sleep.

0300hrs: The £300 second-hand recliner chair grumblingly and jerkily allowed me out of it to get to the porcelain. Where the news was good. No bleeding from Haemorrhoid Harold or Little Inchy. Reflux Roger was not too good, but Duodenal Daniel, Anne Gyna and Harry Hernia no bother much at all. Arthur Itis his usual self with the knees and ankles, just a bit annoyed with the hands and fingers. Overall, a great start to the day! Fingers crossed (Painfully thanks to Arthur. [Hehehe!]) Carried out the first of the health checks, all looked good.

Got the laundry stuff collected and down to the laundry room. Got the washer going and back up to the flat. Computer turned on and finished yesterday’s diary and posted it off.

Did the top photo and made a start on this one. Time to go down to move the laundry into the dryer. (0330ish) This I did, then back to the computer and worked on this diary and updated the Excel Health Check Sheet.

A final trip down to the laundry room to collect the gear and clean it up. On the way down and throughout these activities, I found myself mentally having a self-critical panegyrical discussion. Boy did I perorate with myself, no summing up or conclusions were arrived at, though. In those few minutes going down in the lift, I think I analysed and repeatedly refuted my rights to sanity? Weird that?

2tue05I retrieved the dried clothes into the bag, washed the filter and wiped around.

All done around 0415hrs or so, and back up to the flat.

Put the clobber away and made another cuppa and took the medications and creamed the areas of my masculine, the flaccid body that needed the attentions of the creams and lotions. Haha!

Back on the computer.

Decided to go out later and get some fodder in after I go to the clinic. Must make a list of things to take with me, I’ll do it now… Done it.

Ablutions were done I wrapped up well and set off for the Clinic. I forgot to take the request for new pads with me, but at least it was only one thing I forgot to take with me today… I hoped, Hehe!

I rang Warden Dean to see if I could talk with her about the meeting with the bank on Thursday, but could not get through – Try again later it said. Maybe I dialled the wrong number?

Caught the 40 bus straight to the clinic and was in and out in half an hour. A Dr Dragomir Vladimirescu, (I think) along with a nurse and several students, did the checks in no time and declared that surgery should not be expected now as things were healing so well, but to anticipate the odd bleeding sessions in times of stress? Stress, I thought, what does that mean? I asked him. Nighttime erections he said? (Oh?)

2tue04As I came out of the building to get the bus, both hearing aids bleeped to indicate they needed changing. So, bus back to the flat and changed them, luckily it timed well with the L9 to City Bound bus’s arrival, and I caught that into the Slab Square. Chinwag with a few tenants appreciated.

I had a walk around the City Centre (And I mean walk, not hobble, as Arthur Itis was being kind to me today, bless him) and ended up at M&S’s Foodhall, feeling a bit of sorrow for the Big Issue selling bloke at the entrance and handed him a bit of cash.

2tue07Spent far too much, I blame Marks & Spencers for selling Sour Dough bread, Best Beef Steak Lasagnes, leeks, swedes, Lemon Swiss Rolls and Lamb Moussaka. Never had this before, but it looks similar to Lasagne, so I should like it I hope.

I noticed when packing the things I’d bought, into the bags at the check-out, that this, as well as the lasagne, had three red warnings on the content label thingamajig on the box label. Oh, dear? Plenty of life on them all, well, four days.

I caught a bus, (oh I do love my free pensioner’s bus pass) into Arnold and called in to get some roast cooked belly pork slices. Popped into Fulton Food Stores and got four small jars of Silverskin Onions in pickled vinegar for only £1, bargain there I thought!

Went to catch the L9 bus back to the flats, but it did not arrive? Whilst waiting at the bus stop, Anne Gyna started off giving me bother, rather badly bless her. I caught a bus into the City Centre, then the L9 from Queen Street back to the flats. Got in and took some extra Codeine Phosphate. The Morphine Sulphate would have been a lot better, Anne Gyna seemed to be persisting so they have taken me off of this, in preparation for the operation later, so I’m not complaining… or am I? Hehehe!

2tue05Anne Gyna seemed to be persisting. I could not concentrate to read the book, so got the fodder done earlier than usual.

I had this vegetarian meal with a roast cooked belly pork sandwich. Naughtily did some oven chips, too many perhaps, but I ate it all.

My Dad used to call me a ‘Gannet! He was right.(All very good, including the Silverskin onions in pickling vinegar with peppers!)

Sudden tiredness overcame me as I was watching the TV, but still, I could not get to sleep until well gone midnight again, thanks to Anne Gyna.

Up at 0300hrs and wide awake?

Monday 27th February 2017

Icelandic – Mánudagur 27. febrúar 2017

Didn’t nod off until well gone midnight again, woke with a start around 0200hrs in urgent need to utilise the porcelain, scrambled out of the £300 second-hand rickety recliner chair and made it to the throne, and amazingly the trots were replaced with rock cement! How one can go from eight hours of the trots to the opposite so quickly I have no idea. Tsk!

While waiting for the action, bits of the dream I’d been having came to mind. The muddy fields were there again, but other people were with me and instructing me how to get out of a muddy crater they had thrown me into, each time I got out they told my I’d done it wrong and lobbed me back in to get it right?

Up properly at 0400hrs. I rubbed some pain-gel in the knees and made a cuppa, carried out the health checks and made a nice cuppa as I got the computer going, then took the medications.

I’d got messages in reply to yesterday’s diary from Duncan and Tim, both helping me with the Excel Health spreadsheet formatting on how to add different cells together 1mon05and divide them into an average. Tried it and it worked! Many thanks, lads, cheered me up a bit this did.

1mon06Then, the stomach started rumbling and I had a dizzy at the same time, this confused me a bit. Don’t want any physical bother today with all the jobs I’ve got to do. Got to go to a new bank to sort out the fiscal difficulties, the Dentist to check on the appointment day and time… checked in the Google calendar, now I’ve found out how to access it in G Suite. Sad innit, Hehe?

Core blimus, so much to get done, I bet I’ll be catching up still on Tuesday.

1mon09The weather forecast on the web looked not too nice.

I carried out the ablutions, shave, teggies shower etc, medicated the areas in with a requirement of the same (Hehe!).

Sorted the waste bins out, bagged them and took them disposed of them down the rubbish chute.

Got my list of jobs wanting to be done, wrapped myself up and got as far as the lifts when I realised I had the wrong glasses on. Back to the flat and changed them.

Out again and got as far again, when I realised I had not taken the bank details, so back once again and collected them.

Outside and walked to the glass recycle bin with the bottles and jars. Then to the Winwood Centre Shed to try and talk with Warden Deans about the TV Licence letter and advice on the Bank problems. She was helping a resident so I sat waiting and had a go at the crossword book. OBegruppenfureress Julie came in and asked “What do you want? Come on hurry up I’m busy…” I showed her the TV Licence letter, she said forget it. Told her about the banking problems, she said for me to go to the Co-op Bank and ask them – the Deana was temporarily free, although waiting on the phone for someone and said no need to go to the bank and I was to let her know if and when I get any TV licence money rebate.

1mon08This is the route and calls/stops made on my morning hobble:

I got some nice Polish bread and belly pork with peppers from the Continental Food Shop. Then to the Bank across the road and asked the cashier if I could talk with someone about moving all my cash and accounts to their bank. She disappeared a few moments and returned telling me to take a seat. I met a lady tenant of the flats and as we nattered a chap appeared, shook my hand and with pound-signs spinning and twinkling in his eyes, led me into a little room for a talk. After asking me to bring in my current UK driving Licence and Passport, and my telling him I own neither nowadays, he was not put-out, and asked me to bring a current Council Tax Bill and a State Pension Letter that gives details of the pension for this year. He arranged the meeting for this Thursday at 1000hrs. He said he would show me their internet banking and how to use it and get things sorted with me, it should, he say’s take only 2 and half hours to arrange, then, seven complete days later it should all be in place up and running. I felt the chap looked and sounded like a used car salesman, bless him.

Out of the bank (Confused a tad), and up to the Post Office and asked them if they could read the senders name and address on a package I wish to send something back to in return, they could not.

I left there and crossed over the road and called in the Co-op store and got some Pork & Liver Pate, Shortcake biscuits, tomatoes and apples.

Up the hill to the Dentists to confirm the date of my next appointment. The young rather attractive lady on the reception printed it out for me Wednesday 8th March 2017 09:00hrs. A different dentist this time, Dr Vitish Patel. (When I got back later I Googled the name and got: About 82,900,000 results [0.79 seconds])

As I came ou1mon17t to continue up and over the Mansfield Road hill to go through Woodthorpe Park back to the flats, an elderly lady had taken a tumble at the bus stop. Already several people tending to her thankfully. I felt so sorry for her.

At least I’d got some things that needed doing started today, and felt a little lifted in spirits and less frustrated with life now.

Turned right and up the footpath towards the turn off to the flats. So many dogs walking their owners about today, I spent a while watching them.

1mon16As I went right to go down the gravel footpath to the flats, I took a photographicalisation of my favourite little copse with the blocks of flats in the background. The grass was thickening I think a little.

Looking forward so much to when it gets overgrown and full of plant life and animal life for me to walk through and hope to see.

As I hobbled down the pathway, Anne Gyna started to give me some hassle along with Roger Reflux and Arthur Itis, they all seemed to start off at the same time after all being so kind to me earlier. Humph! This put an end to my plans to go out again and get more jobs done today! Shame!

Got in and gave Olive a ring, I hope she is alright she sounded it and said she was feeling better… but she didn’t tell me off about anything. Hehehe!

Cleaned the kitchen floor, then onto the Computer to update this twaddle.

Pondered on what to have for nosh, def the pate and pork

Made the salad and took a photograph of it without the card in the camera. Tsk!

Carried out a messy search for the items needed for the bank on Thursday, I think I have them all now.

Feeling drained now, but in better spirits, I settled to watch some DVD then TV.

I lasted about an hour or so before nodding off into a dream filled sleep.

Inchcock today: Friday 24th Feb 2017:

Friday 24th February 2017

Mongolian: 24 Хоёрдугаар сарын 2017

After the maintenance men came and woke me up last night at 1125hrs, they were gone by midnight after telling me they could do nothing, but they would send someone around in the morning to look at the leaking kitchen window and screw if closed. How I clean the outside after that I don’t know. They are very good at this, getting out of doing anything and sounding knowledgeable at the same time, you know. So I stayed up on the computer all night.

So I stayed up on the computer all night. I tried to use the WordPress G-Suite but ended up having to contact their helpline again, and after a few hours was no closer to a solution than I was before. Tsk!

I tried around 0340hrs to clean up the mess still left from the floods and realised about 0430hrs what a Plonka, I am… They will only make another mess when they come won’t they? I felt a little like a Punchinello, physically and mentally.

Made a note to remind me to call BJ to tell him about my nor being able to attend the Tenant’s Social Hour again and why. Must ask him if he can call on me, so I can give him the nibbles to hand out, and show him the message about a trip out from the Papplewick Pumping Station.

gc-01dThen, around 0555hrs, I got on with finishing yesterday’s post and then started this one off. Had to limp to the porcelain and was well pleased that the bleeding from Little inchy had stopped – but Haemorrhoid Harry had started. Cleaned my lower regions and the bowl up medicated the rear end and proceeded to feel a little sorry for myself again.

I loathe myself for self-pitying, but even I find it hard to take so many Whoopsiedangleplops so often and continuously as of the last few days. I pondered on what had occurred over the last two day: Crippled myself going to and getting onto and off of the Nottingham Wheel, cut my finger, burnt my hand, flooded the wetroom, lost my notepad, got the day wrong for the cleaners and the clinic on the same day, Little Inchy bleeds started again after weeks of no bother, new pains in the hip, rain coming in through the kitchen window and flooding that, had to turn off the heater cause it got in that too. the batteries ran out on the same day to toothbrush and radio, got overcharged at the shop, got on the wrong bus, sleep has become an impossibility, broke the thermometer, the repairmen arrived at nearly midnight to wake me up to look at the leaking kitchen window that they could do nothing with but arranged for others to call today to ‘screw it in place’? Got demand for a second TV licence, got told off eight times by Olive, No one told me the Tenant’s Meeting had changed from Thur to Fri – and now I can’t get to that! (Well I might if they come really early?) Hobbled painfully up into Mapperley to get some vegetables and lost a tenner somehow… there’s probably more, but these just came to mind yer know.

Took my medications, made a cuppa and just had to sigh and smile to myself when I dropped the milk as I had a dizzy spell, bent to pick up the handily placed mop from the bucket I’m left ready for the rain to come in again and the mop broke in half!!! These Whoopsiedangleplops are getting beyond a joke now, surely they must ease off soon?

Oh, and a letter from the Bank arrived yesterday, it is in the process of being sold off, so I have to consider moving the cash to another one to be on the safe side, Olive advises me. Another job to get done… Will it never end! I beseech the Lord to save my sanity before I become unhinged, and to please save my rationale… oh that sounded good didn’t it? Cheered missen up a bit now. Hehehe!

Another cup of strong tea and then did the health checks. The pulse has gone back down nicely.

Carried out the ablutions, made anther cuppa and rang BJ, no answer, though.

Worked on a new Excel sheet for the Health Checks for an hour or two, hard work when you’re not sure what you’re doing. Haha! Got it done in a fashion.

I rang BJ again, still no answer.

Tried to do some work on a poem, but the concentration wasn’t there.

Once more I rang BJ, he was at the Social meeting. I explained the situation and asked him to inform the others.

Got the vegetables in the slow cooker.

Felt a bit frustrated still, I can’t go out to take the rubbish bins out, go to the shop, visit Olive or anything because the maintenance men who said they would arrive between 0800 > 1200hrs and who came at midnight on their last visit to tend to the kitchen window may arrive at any time? (They didn’t though)

Got the meal going, battered sausages, veg, an apple and a potato. Took a photograph of it, but once again the unfathomable Photo Genie Gremlin removed it from the SD card??? Humph!

Cleaning up after the meal, the Whoopsiedangleplops returned – I’d left the saucepan on the heat while eating and the pan was burnt beyond salvation, I tried to clean it along with the other accoutrements and managed with great ease to cut my Arthur Itis ridden finger end while cleaning the apple divider. But it was a poor effort, hardly bled at all: Perhaps the Whoopsies are easing up in severity? I do hope so.

5fri01

Companionless and feeling uncherished (although understandably so, hehe!) I WordPressed and did some graphicalisationing for hours, waiting, hoping the maintenance men would not arrive late at night. I needn’t have worried, they didn’t come at all.

TV on, dare not use the headphones in case I didn’t hear the door chime if anyone arrived, so had to watch programmes that had subtitles… not that it mattered, I’d been up for over 20 hours by then, and needed sleep and fell off into the land of nod quickly.

Inchcock Today: Thursday 23rd Feb 17: Muddles and Whoopsiedangleplops strike again Humph!

Up at around 0300hrs, dreams were of my being in a field of thick gooey mud, sinking down and drowning, and finding myself back on the surface and doing it all again? A feeling of doom, maybe even a catastrophe

A feeling of doom, maybe even a catastrophe lurked and infested my poor disjointed low IQ but high EQ brain – and there was no moving this conviction, that one or the other would strike me today.

Dismounted the rickety £300 second-hand recliner chair and tended to the porcelain needs, and got on and finished a graphicalisation for the TFZer site.

foodA bit pleased with the outcome, I’ll post it to Facebook later.

Then I tried to open the WordPress and got into all sorts of messes and eventually had to contact their helpline. Hours later they had helped me sort tings out but I had to wait for the site to be activated. Helpful chap, he was patient with this old codger, he was.

Carried out the readings chart record.

Then did a bit of Facebooking

4thur05

It was mighty wet and windy still, just like it was when I got up, but lighter now, and the wind was getting much worse. Humph!

Into the wetroom, turned on the radio and the batteries dies. To the kitchen and got replacements and put them in. Started to do the teggies with the brand new battery operated brush, and the batteries died! Replaced them as well. Cut myself shaving. Had a good long carbolicalised shower and scrub-up.

Dressed missen and got the vegetables cooking for later. Red spuds with balsamic vinegar in the saucepan, and red carrots, white carrots, orange carrots, parsnips, red onions, mushrooms and leeks in the crock-pot. Cut my finger slicing the leeks… don’t laugh! Oh, go on then! Tsk!

I was beginning to feel sorry for myself again with all these damned Whoopsiedangleplops!

Phoned Olive to see if it was okay to visit her, and it was! That cheered me up somewhat!

Off I went, in4thur11 better spirits to Olive’s flat and had a good natter for a while and accepted my telling off’s from her with aplomb.

Back to the flat.

Did third Health Check – obviously, the angst is getting to me, see the latest reading for today for the pulse?

By gum, that pulse is going at a fair rate innit? I think it is going to get worse: When I went into the kitchen… The rain had been intruding through the window and soaked the ledge, camera, mirror, clock, flask and spread down onto the storage heater too!4thur06Another mess to clean up, this did Arthur Itis no good at all. I called Warden Deans to inform her, she was not on site but said she would ring someone to come have a look at it.

Not finished yet with the Whoopsiedangleplops… Went into the wetroom for a wee-wee and found I’d left the tap running and flooded the place as well as losing all the hot water. Had a tinkle and found that Little Inchy was bleeding! Grr! Frustration! The bending down to mop up the water caused this I suppose.

Got it sorted eventually, cleaned and creamed Inchy’s lesion. Made a cup of tea, and got this computer on to do this post.

4thur07A couple of hours later, Warden Deana rang back, someone was coming to look at the kitchen window. If it is anything like the last time they came to seal the leak, it’ll be worse when they leave – Bitter? Me? Yes!

The rain suddenly stopped and for a while, the sun came out to play – I was not in the mood, though. Hehehe!

Waiting for the maintenance personages still.

4thur111735hrs: Not much chance of any maintenance people calling I think at this time of day, so feeling very drained, I did the ablutions and got the fodder ready.

Another vegetarian effort. Tried the Asda (Walmart) own label Hot Dog Style Sausages for the first time. These were done in a saucepan of boiling water for four minutes as opposed to the usual ones I often have, that are done in the oven for 25 minutes. They looked pale and insipid; but were very nice and tasty, I must say. Two red potatoes with balsamic vinegar in the water. And the Crock-Pot vegetables, tomatoes, yellow, red and purple carrots, last of the parsnips and turnips, leeks, red onions and cooked with a little soy sauce, tomato puree, basil and oregano. Also very tasty! I’ll try these again methinks.

Took the readings and medications, applied the lotions and potions then tried to watch some TV – off I nodded without any bother… other than the dreams again, but this time I had no memories, just a feeling that they were not nice.

2325hrs: As I woke and felt the warm wet sensation from ‘Little Inchies’ lower zone and realised I needed to extract myself from the rickety £300 second-hand recliner and get the porcelain to clean things up and medicated – and it dawned on me the phone (landline) was ringing. It was the maintenance men came to look at the window!?!?!

Let them in, of course, they did nothing. They went through their usual looking, grunting and scratching of chins, played with the window catch that we know didn’t work, and declared they would get someone to come and look at it tomorrow sometime. Bless ’em! By 2335hrs (Ten minutes) they had gone. Thus, once again I shall miss the Tenants Social Hour! This week, they changed it to Friday cause the organiser had to go to a funeral on Thursday, and still I miss it again!

Worra rotten week this is!

4thur12Took this photograph around midnight after the blokes had departed.

Stayed up, no point in trying to get back to kip now.w

Eventually managed to get ‘Little Inchy’ cleaned and medicated.

Made a cuppa and updated this diary.

Life suddenly felt aphotic.

As I said earlier; Worra Day!

Humph!
