Javanese: Jumuah 25 Oktober 2019

02:25hrs: I woke, and again, in the blink of an eye, I was in need of the Porcelain Throne. Getting to be a habit this is. I reckon it must be the fourth morning in a row now! The task of going through the series of After-Stroke physio moves as recommended, well, more like commanded or demanded, had to be abandoned.

I tackled the sometimes laborious and painful job of getting my chunky-but-wobbly body out of the Xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet five-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner. Out of interest, I think he has since made and is operating a drone, to spy on me!

I seem to be getting the hang of this four-pronged walker now, I got to the wet room without any walking into anything, tripping myself up, or knocking owt down or over! Smug-Cocksure-Mode-Adopted. (Albeit, only momentarily).

The evacuation was quick, I had no control over this, it did it of its own accord. But, the mess it sprayed and left all over, left, took some cleaning up. Ah, well! Washed the dandies and wiped the contact points with antiseptic disinfectant.

To the kitchen, used the prongs to stand the stick upright, while I took the medications, moved the handwashing to the drier, and made a brew of tea.

Walking into the stick and knocking it over, was painless… Hitting my knuckles on the tabletop counter, it should have hurt me, but didn’t at all! With the right-hand side nerves not getting messages to the brain with the Peripheral Neuralgia, this is one time I was happy to have the affliction. Hehe! The nerves-ends must have been having one of their on-strike moments when I clouted my hand! Which of course meant, when they came back on-line so to speak, I got a shocking pain and wondered what the hell it was, then realised.

I took a picture of the morning view from the unwanted, cumbersome, heavy, dangerous, thick-framed, uncleanable, light & view-blocking new kitchen window. It came out not too bad, I had changed back to using the Nikon camera. I’d forgotten how to change it to Night-View.  Shlimazel! Sad it is!

I went to fetch the till receipt from yesterday, to help me remember things for the diary updating, from the trolley-guide bag. Oops! I’d left some stuff in the bag overnight. These are the three diaries, and two boxes of chocs left to give out, the sherberts saucers, toothpaste and can of beef I’d bought from the Poundland store.

I was so determined to get on with the updating of the Thursday blog, but several things hog-tied my hopes. The hands and fingertip nerves were not in full-time use this morning, the droning whining noise that permeates all around the building was getting on my nipples, destroying any concentration, and mind was continually going blank on me, so many words I had to look up, just escaped my grey-cells! Then, the worst, but not least expected…

So, I made a written list of things to get from Morrison’s, when Mr Fries company kindly got back going, I made up an order and sent it off. I’m really weed-off. It took me until gone 7:30hrs before I got the post finished. Globangrations!

Sodditt Down again! Going to go out!

I got ready, and in a slightly pee’d-off mood, I set out into the rain I (again), out and along Chestnut Walk outside the flats.

The vehicles were still parked around the bus-turning island. Humph!

There were car parking spaces free, but then they may not have been when the thoughtless but desperate folks parked naughtily. They may have not had any option but to park causing an impediment to the bus drivers?

It’s not going to be easily solved.

I got to the bus stop, one chap already there in the shelter. We were soon joined by others, and a little chinwag was enjoyed. The winter leaves were falling as well as the rain. The trolley wheels will get stuck up with leaves and roadside detritus, and need cleaning-up before getting back to the flats, methinks.

A bit of flooding on Chestnut Walk.

As the wind blew the rain into the bus stop, the City-bound bus arrived and departed. Moments later, the Bestwood L9 came, and I ensconced my self in the corner side-saddle seat. There were many shopping trolleys and walker-guides already on the bus, and more joined them when the tenants boarded the bus. Until we got to Sherwood, when many alighted, it was a bit of a struggle to get settled comfortably. I had a natter with some other passengers, but they were too far away from me to follow the conversation correctly, but the odd smile and bursts of laughter were appreciated, cheered me up a tad.

When we got in Arnold, a complete stranger to me lady, helped me off of the bus, when she saw my arm and leg shaking. I tried to thank her, but she shot off when we got down onto the pavement. I crossed the road and went into the Wilko store, in search of their chocolate-covered peanuts. I got to the shelves where they were stored, but could not find any on show. However, I did invest in some yoghourt covered nuts, chocolate-covered brazil nuts, plain walnut-halves and a bottle of the Wilko Liquid Soapflakes. Oh, and the nuts were in recyclable packets, too!

Near the checkouts, I dropped some bags of peanuts, and as I was struggling to retrieve them, and the same kind lady from the bus earlier appeared from nowhere, and picked them up for me! To the checkout and paid the £7.33 bill, and the shaking started as I was putting the purchases in the trolley bag and lost some packets, the till lady came around and picked up the dropped packets, and loaded the trolly-bag as well, for me!

I seem to be coming across some kind Nottinghamian’s this week, bless them, thank you all! ♥

Out into the rain, and I hobbled, avoiding the deep puddles, to the Boyds Store in search of some Magnesium tablets, but they didn’t have any on sale today. So I limped down to the Saver Shop, and they didn’t have any in, either. Humph!

I called into the Iceland store. I came out with a frozen Sausage & Bean Casserole ready-meal. Yoghourt peanuts and some Sherbert saucers. Paid-up, and made ‘my getting wetter by the minute’ way, to the Asda (Walmart) store. Where I got carried away again, buying fodder! I got to the self-serve checkouts with: Handwash liquid, fresh tomatoes, lemon yoghourts, Cox’s apples, a milk roll loaf, fresh mushrooms and a packet of Wholemeal slice in half cobs, that were really soft and fresh, to give to Mary when I call to see her at her flat on the way home. I’ve not seen her lately, hope she’s okay. If I cannot get to see her, I’ll ask about her welfare at the Warden’s Holding-Cell office.

I paid the demands of the machine, (£7.84) and somehow got everything in the trolley-bag and carrier.

As I was leaving the store, I got involved in a rare Pedestrian Jam, as opposed to a Traffic one! Hehehe!

I hobbled along, doing my best to control the trolley-walker, as it leant one way then the other, always threatening to topple over, on the hill up to High Street shelter, to await the arrival of the L9 bus.

The bus-shelter was cram-packed with Nottinghamian’s all trying to get out of the rain. They did not appreciate me inching my way in to join them, and seemed disgusted with the trolley-guide as they were forced to make way for me. Humph’s and Tuts were heard! Hehe! After several buses arrived, the mob thinned out, though.

I did notice that Asda had added a giant poster to their self-service petrol station wall.

I took the photo of it, then a zoomed-in shot to see what it was they were displaying. A perfect idea that; why not a poster showing alcoholic Special-Offers at a petrol station! I thought this a bit naughty.

The L9 came, and I struggled to get on the bus, with the Peripheral Neuralgia inspired right leg, kicked-off on one its Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance routines. Talk about bad timing! The driver gave me look that said; “Bloody hell, another idiot!” After I’d settled in the end side-saddle seat, where more support is available, the leg gave-up dancing. When we got two stops, further along, Mary got on the bus! Another friendly set of passengers and a half-followed conversation and giggle ensued en route to Daybrook. Next stop, the lady who assisted me off the bus, and saved the day in Wilko’s got on, and the laughter increased. Most folks got off in Daybrook, and Mary and I had a chucklesome waffle, but I’m not sure if either of us heard the slightly hudibrastic things that the other was saying correctly or not. Haha!

But I had an attack of cramps en route!

We arrived back at the flats, as the rain was easing off at last. I remembered to give Mary the wholemeal cobs (Nearly forgot to, though!), and we walked back to Woodthorpe Court, parting in the lift as she got off on the first floor as we said our farewells.

I went up to the twelfth and got in making for the WC, and had a CMOUSTSTBOWV (Catching-Me-Out-Unwilling-Slow-To-Start-Then-Blasting-Out-With-Venom) wee-wee. Blimey, it came out with a belated vengeance! I had to wipe-up the splashback areas, including myself!

I made up a sort of pot-luck, Heath Robinson affair of a stew. A can of stewed steak, added mushrooms, tomatoes and black bean sauce. Left it simmering for ages, but remembering to stir it regularly. Stripped off and got into the fresh jammies, and got the handwashing soaking in the bowl in the sink while the fodder cooked.

I had a taste of the stew when pouring it into the dish, and it was a winner flavour-wise! I had an apple and a lemon yoghourt for afters. I took a can of Diet sugar-free Pepsi to guzzle afterwards. My Taste-Rating was 8.8/10, Cowabunga! The light lemon yoghourt was excellent!

After feasting, and having some Milk Roll bread with the meal, I decided to get the handwashing rinsed and on the hangers or airers to start drying. They might be dry enough to wear by about February. He-he!

The heat from the airers helps warm the place up a bit.

I got the pots washed. Then took a completely different to the last one, LRWS (Long-Reluctant-Weak-Sprinkly) wee-wee, and got settled in the Xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet five-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, recliner, and turned on the TV. Which turned-out to be a waste of time! I repeatedly nodded-off and woke again… I think I did stay awake long enough to watch the first half of the Kitchen from Hell episode but drifted off properly then.

Not that I stayed awake, although I can’t remember doing it, there were signs of nocturnal nibbling found in the morning. Lamentable Lad that I am!

Inchcockski – Thur 24 Oct 19: Computer hassle, got soaked through. Wee-weeing too much, and had a nightmare!

Thursday 24th October 2019

Italian: Giovedì 24 Ottobre 2019

03:40hrs: I stirred, and again there was no time for faffing about. I needed to haul up my onerous, flabby, hawgly body from the recliner posthaste, and get to the Porcelain Throne! Which I did, despite the complaining from Arthur Itis.

I almost fell-over my stick en route, banged my elbow on the door frame, but made it in time, by the skin of my teeth! The session was fine, with no huffing and puffing, messiness, or bleeding. Fine! To the kitchen.

I got the medications taken, made a brew, and got the computer on. The TFZer Facebooking caught up with, next, got on with updating yesterday’s blog. Which took me a long time again. The fingers were losing and regaining sensitivity to touch on and off all day, really.

Then…

So, I gave up computerisationing and got the ablutioning tended to. The knees didn’t look too bad this morning. However, with the right hand and fingers nerve-ends still playing up, there were plenty of dropsies, toilet roll, flannel, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving foam, razors, towel… on and on! Hehe!

I got dressed and made another mug of tea. Took these pictures below, in different modes.

AS I went back into the junk room two (living room), I espied a lot of mess on the front of the electric fire? Dirt and dust. I thought I’d gt it cleaned up.

A mistake that. Cause I foolishly got the rag and spray and got down to clean it up, and that was that for about ten minutes. My struggle to get back up, was eventually successful, well, partially anyway! Without my leaving the new four-prongs walking stick nearby, I might well still be down there on the carpet! The mess is still there, awaiting my next brave-moment coming, so I can tackle it again! Back-Pain-Brenda and Arthur Itis were not happy!

Back on the computer and it was working again, flipping slow instead of Terribly slow. Haha!  The WordPress site then took over as CATP (Chief-Aggravationionalisitcal-Torment provider)! So, I gave up once again. And decided to catch a very late L9 bus into town, to try and get the black-book Diaries from the Poundland shop, so I could hand them out as Christmas pressies, and get some Lavender Dettol as well. I swapped the items from the sleeveless jacket, into the old heavy tweed coat, and found to my utter amazement, that it fitted my bulbous body!

Then got the black bags made up and taken to the chute, then returned to recheck that things were not left on or off that shouldn’t be. Got two potatoes in the slow-cooker, and set off down the lift, to visit the Wardens Holding-Cells and Interrogation Office with the nibble bag, on my way to the bus stop.

I got in the lift, finding a bit of a mess on the floor. Out and turned right along the link-passage through Winwood Court to the Chief Obergruppenführeress’s Interrogation Room. The wonderful welcoming heat hit me as I got into the Winwood Court part. I would have been happy to move into living in this place!

Had a natter, and I cunningly found out that a 2020 dairy would go down as an acceptable gift. (I asked them Hehe!) Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Deana and Oberstgruppenfhüreress Julie were both in the cell when I arrived. Nibbles distributed, chinwag enjoyed, farewells exchanged, and off to the bus stop.

I sat in the Winchester Court foyer for a few minutes, as the weather outside was offering torrential rain! But had to go out in it, as the time for the bus’s arrival drew near. I found Christine, Frank, and John out there, hiding inside the entrance to the caretaker’s bin room, keeping out of the rain. We had a laugh and natter, then moved to the bus stop.

I got off at the terminus on Queen Street, brolly up and started to walk down to the Slab Square. I soon found I was having great difficulty in controlling the three-wheel-walker, with one hand, and trying to keep the umbrella up with the other! It was challenging and painful too.

Using the one hand had brought on the nerve insensitivity, and taking photographs of any quality proved hit and miss, mostly miss!

I had a bit of a comical moment with the trolley, though. I was still on an incline when I took a picture of a lady and daughter in the rain. Holding the brolly and using the camera with one hand and brolly in the other, and this was taking some concentration and effort on my behalf. I was not aware that I had not put the brakes on the trolley until just after taking the shot, and feeling for the trolley handle which was no longer there, a lady, who had retrieved the walker as it ran down the hill, was returning it to me! The almost laughing, smiling lady was so kind and understanding and asked if she would mind if she related the incident to the staff at work because it was so entertaining to her! She said, as I humbly and embarrassingly thanked her, she was a nurse at the Queens Medical Centre. I’m sure my face turned red, despite the cold wind and rain! Hahaha! I hope she doesn’t tell the local radio or newspaper about it, though. But if she reads this, thank you again, Elsie!

I turned onto Long Row and ensconced myself under the eaves of the shop fronts to take some pictures. At least I could use both hands now, to take the shots!

Nottingham’s Pavement Cyclists didn’t take long to appear as I scanned the scene for an interesting shot. This one on the left was particularly dangerous to the pedestrians around him. Swine!

The rain was obviously not going to ease-off, so I hobbled out into and through it and made my way to the Poundland store. I was well soaked by the time I got there. The tweed coat weighed so much, with the sodden rain on it. The hands and fingers were playing up, and Arthur Itis started kicking off, the rain soaking the trousers, I suppose? The shop had none of the black diaries left, but I found some others to get. I ended up getting: Some sherbert saucers, chocolates for nibbles, wholemeal cobs, toothpaste, can a beef, and five diaries.

Paid at the self-service tills, packed the bags and out on my way back to the bus stop. I hobbled through the square to Queen Street.

I stopped on South Parade, got under cover, and took this shot of the tram stops with the messy untidy horribly hidly-piddly, slatternly slab Square.

It’s a good job the trams are heavy, cause there was enough rainwater flowing down over the lines to take out a canoe or two. Hahaha!

The bus stop stay was a long one and a wet one. The roof of the shelter leaked, and cunningly filled the bag on the trolley without my noticing at first, Humph! Luckily I had put the new diaries in an ordinary carrier bag, then into a strong thicker one, wrapped the plastic around it and put it in the trolly bag on top. Then I saw that the carrier bag I had on the handlebars, had partly filled with rain as well! And, the bus was 12-minutes late in arriving, so I got even wetterer!

Other potential passengers had gone to catch another bus by then. When I got on, I was the sole passenger!

There are always passengers getting on at the Victoria Centre stop, and I was surprised as the bus shot by, and nearly got tumbled out of the side-saddle seat, when he jammed on the brakes to stop further along. Many of our residents got on at a different bus number’s stop? It appears that gas works on the main road, had forced a temporary moved for the L9 – and nobody had informed the driver! He was not a happy laddie! Which showed up in his Stirling Moss approach, for the rest of the journey. Cyndy with her grand-daughter, Ray, William got on with others. I had a good natter with the lads en route.

As we approached the flats, Ray noticed the parked cars again, around the turning island for the buses. As we got off the bus, he said there is a meeting taking place today, and he was going to join them and tell them of the parking problem. And this chap is just the bloke you want on your side, he’ll inform ’em in no uncertain fashion! As we walked through the big meeting room/lounge/social room, Ray left me and took a seat to and joined in the Tenants meeting.

I visited the holding cells of and gave them a choice of diaries to Riechsfhreress and Catwalk Model Warden Deana and  Obersturmführer and Pole-dancer, and beauty advisor, Warden Julie. I also took a photograph of them, which they posed for in a willingly for me, bless ’em. I’ll put this photo below as a header for my Facebook page for a while!

A pink and blue one was chosen, leaving me with a black, cream and Azure one, to hand out later.

In the morning when I made up this diary updating, I did a CorelDraw edited graphic, adding two confiscated items from tenants items on Julie’s tabletop, to the second photo, Can you see them? Hahaha!

Do they have charming smiles or what!

I said my farewells and made my way, pottering along the link-passageway, enjoying the heat in there, before getting into the Woodthorpe Court shambles and started shivering when I hit the lower temperature prevalent. Brrr! Not good when one is so wet!

I emptied the trolley bag, well, I thought I did, but found I’d missed some in the morning, Humph! Had an SSWW (Short-Sprinkly) wee-wee. Then got the nosh planned and on the cook. I used the potatoes from the slow cooker, sliced then, dried them, got some Leicester red cheese sprinkled on top of them, and into the oven to cook. Garden peas in the saucepan and some German Brunswick smoked ham on the plate ready to add the other fodder to.

Took another SSWW wee-wee, and got a wash. By which time the spuds were ready, so served up this delightful plateful. Two of the wholemeal cobs and an apple rounded off the feast. A flavour-rating of 7/10 granted.

Got the pots in the washing-up bowl, and had to have another wee-wee. A good job this leaking didn’t start when I was out in town!

Got the washing up done, then the handwashing was done and hung to dry.

I took three photos of the clouds on different camera settings. But I’m blown if I can find the note I scribbled so I wouldn’t forget now. Schlemiel! Not that I can see any difference in them, mind.

Changed togs, and Xyrophobia-suffering, crooked Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working recliner
£300, c1968, second-hand, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty recliner, and turned the TV on.

For once, the sleep came quickly, along with the dreaming. My being chased through corridors shot at, etc. in a destroyed or bombed skyscraper again. I’ve not had this nightmare for ages, but it was back. This time instead of throwing myself off of the rooftop, I actually flew away into the clouds, almost like Superman in a film… this seagull came alongside me, and flew with me for ages, just turning its head to look at me frequently… I had to ask it, ‘What you after then?’ It replied ‘I’m waiting for you to realise that you can’t fly!’ Down I tumbled, with the bird squawking with a smile on its face… I landed in a river, down I went under the water, choking, but not too bothered by it, and woke up on a riverbank, with Aliens all around me talking gobble-di-gook that I understood, but realised I should not be able to! They were telling me I must go back home? Well, it made a nice change to have a simple dream I could follow, well, I say follow…

TTFNski!

Inchcock Today – Wed 23 Oct 2019: Whoopsiedangleplops enjoyed today. Phwert!

Wednesday 23rd October 2019

Welsh: Dydd Mercher 23ain Hydref 2019

02:20hrs: I woke, almost thoughtless, it was great. No Worry-Storm in the brain-box, totally unfathomable as to why, but I liked it! Within seconds, I was rising from the Brother-In-Law knackered second-hand, £300, rickety recliner, on the way to the GPEB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency Bucket), for another HDT (Heavy-Duty-Torrential) wee-wee.

While releasing the wee-wee, I became aware of the lack of bother from RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis), Anne Gyna, and Back-Pain Brenda. Had I died, and no one told me? Hehehe!

The idea of hobbling to the kitchen without using the stick came to mind – followed by a warning from my EQ. So, I took in the message, usually right, for the trip with the new four-prong stick. But no bother came, I’ll give it a bit of time. I made a brew of Glengettie and took the medications. I tipped the tablets out from the Chemist-filled Tablet-Pouch.

I was under the impression when these arrived, that they had sent me a double-dose of prescriptions, but found on opening, they only half-filled them. The reason for tipping them into a bowl this time was I was getting fed-up with dropping one or more each time I tried to tip them into the tiny-pill tray I’d been using. And then having to locate them, clean them, and take them. Hehe!

I got the handwashing from last night onto the airer.

A summoning from the innards to the Porcelain Throne arrived, and off I went to the wet room. Yet another change in style this morning. Really messy, Urgh!

Cleaning me and various parts of the wet room up, took me ages to get done, and while doing it, having to bend, kick-started Arthur Itis and Back-Pain-Brenda off! Humph! The pain relief didn’t last for long, did it? But I appreciated it while it lasted. The EQ was right, as usual.

When I came out and went to make another brew before starting on the computer, being lighter now, I saw and was surprised by the thick fog out there! I took photographs to the left, straight ahead, and to the right.

Made the tea, and got the computer on. Oh, dearie me!

This went on for hours. Making life difficult with the computing, and getting the diary updated took yonks! But by blind determination, assisted my some silent-bad-language,  I eventually got it done and posted.

At about 08:30hrs, a screeching-metallic noise came from somewhere nearby. Gawd, it was loud and lasted for about 10 seconds. I abandoned the computer chair, and went on a seek & find mission!  I seeked but did not find what it was or where it came from. Taping and knocking noises were heard for several hours, but they were obviously from above, where the screeching seemed to be all around? Ah, just another of the mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court, that lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the spacetime continuum. With illusion, delusion, & hallucinations, all rife!

I had to get the ablutions seen to before the Iceland delivery arrived. I double-checked on the email message, to be sure what time to expect it.

A new email had come in from the company. They were short delivering: the Sherbert saucers, and the Milk Roll bread! Tut-tut!

On the way to the wetroom, I heard another screeching noise again, not as loud and of a shorter duration.

The one thing I did not check last time, was the new intercom, so I had a look, but it had failed again! I hope the buzzer thing works when the chap or lady arrives with the groceries. Fingers crossed then. I got into the oh, so cold wet room, and started the ablutionisationing. I stripped off and checked the legs before doing the teggies and shaving. They didn’t look too good, to me. Humph! Yet the pain of RAI was not so bad at the moment. The Clopidogrel was raging, and the old ankle ulcer looked to be trying to burst out again?

The teggies were a struggle, as the right hand and fingers were both a bit non-responsive to touch. I tried using the left dandy and what a laugh!

The shaving was perhaps a little too close? Again, the hand and fingers caused problems. At this point, the dropsies consisted of Flannel 1, Razors 3, Shaving foam 1, and After-shave bottle 2. (Used to stop the bleeding)

As I got in the shower, I clouted my head on the control-box edge. Rinsed off the shaving foam, and had an excellent refreshing shower. Even if it did seem so cold in there this morning. I could hear knocking, drilling, and tapping while the shower was on, so it had to be nearby. The fire sprinkler fitters, maybe. Despite the injuries, I felt in fairly-good condition.

I dried off and got dressed, all bar the socks: with my accifauxpa record since getting up, I thought I’d leave off the socks and avoid any conflict with the sock-glide. Haha!

The nick on the nut bled a bit more, so I dosed it with after-shave, that did the trick. It made me jump a bit, and mutter some mild naughty words mind. Hehe!

Back on the computer, it was still dead slow! Started on this blog, until the intercom rang, and I heard it (another mystery), the release button worked, and the chap was soon at the door, he put the groceries inside the door for me. I signed his tablet and thanked him, and off I went for another HDT (Heavy-Duty-Torrential) wee-wee!

I got the stuff stored away, planning to have the frozen Smokey Sausage and beans ready-meal later.

I’d wedged the door open with the trolley to get the bags in, so I went to close it and spotted some new pipework had been done in the hallway.

Back to the computer and did a bit, but things were that slow, I gave up. This damned Fries internet service is causing me dysbulia!

I decided to take the bags to the waste chute, then go to see the Wardens if they are in their holding-cell, interrogation office, then go up to the roof at Winwood Court, to take some pictures, as the fog was thinning quickly now, and the sunshine, although not warm, was coming out.

Then, the Amazon monthly delivery of the Mannon Lemon Wafers arrived from Amazon. A reet-treat! Bootiful! Tangy and tasty! Delightful! And expensive! Har-har!

I got the five bags made up for the waste chute, and struggled to the chute-room with them and deposited them down the shaft. Then returned to the apartment and got the nibble bag and pressies in the trolley, and back out again,  down in the lift to the ground floor lobby. A mass of posters was on the notice board. One was from Jenny, she is still organising the Meal to Arnold. I really would like to go again with Jenny and Frank, but with how I am at the moment, it would be very embarrassing for me, the shakes, losing contact with the fingers and hands, would undoubtedly mean Accifauxpas and Whoopsiedangplops with eating. Just like they do at the flat. But here, there is only me to cope with and self-mortify and shame. I think it is on a Tuesday anyway, so will clash with the After-Stroke Physio sessions. But, I do appreciate her efforts for us, so much. ♥

I made my way along the link-passage. As soon as the swipe door opens to Winwood Court, you are greeted by a lovely warmth, a stark contrast to how Woodthorpe Court feels. I got to the Wardens Den. All three of them were in, with a selection of handsome, fit-looking young workmen. It makes yer sick! Well me, anyway. Ha-ha-ha! I dropped the pressie off, handed the nibble bag around, and had a chat. (Precious that!) When the wafers where delivered, I saved the air-bags they used, and took them as well, cause they are larger than normal ones, and the gals love popping-them! And did so as soon as they were handed over!

I departed, and got in the lift to the top floor of Winwood Court, to take some pictures from the rooftop. The restroom was not being used by anyone. It is spacious, nice and warm and had facilities galore. I went out on to the roof. The doors have now been repaired, and both opened when I pressed the button. Lovely!

2 / 6

Shame about the leaks in the roof, it has always leaked since being installed.

I went back into the perfectly heated and looked after rest-area room. So much care has gone into planning the layout and available extras.

As you can see, the luxury-status room lacks for nothing, only Winwood Court residents, visiting. Oh, I am jealous again! Hehehe!

After a nosey-around, I got in the lift and returned through the link-passage back to the dark, grungy, cold Woodthorpe Court.

I spotttttted… did you see that? I left the extra t’s on, to show you how often I have to amend and correct things when the fingers lose their sensitivity to touch, same when shaving, no wonder I can’t get jobs done, and they take so long to do! Moan-Over!

What was I saying? Oh, yes! I spotted either a contact or a security device. Or both, hanging from one of the doors in the passageway.

I was struggling with my balance and the trolley for a while. Which made me appreciate the help from the After-Stroke team and the Red Cross, in getting me this trolley-walker. Without any doubt, it had been an accident saver for me, on many occasions, like just now!

They even have motion-sensors for the lights in the warm-snug passageway. Did I mention it was so comfortable and warm in Winwood Court?

When I got through the swipe-door at the end of the corridor, I shuddered involuntarily! It was that cold in there! Just thought I’d mention it! Humph!

Being lunchtime, I called in to see Robert, the caretaker and offer him a nibble. (No answer to that, Hahaha!) We had a little natter, which I always appreciate. Like when Generalfeldmarschalless Housing Patch Manager/ Pole Dancer Angela called last night. She made a point of having a short chinwag with me, and caring actions like this, are so appreciated. ♥

I said my farewells, and withdrew, to the elevator and back up to the flat. I had another HDT (Heavy-Duty-Torrential) wee-wee.  And the photographs from camera SD card to CorelDraw. Titivated a couple up, and got them all on WordPress to use as I updated this post.

I had a break, when, you guessed it…

I got the oven heating, ready for the cooking of the Smokey sausage & bean casserole, later on. I hope it will be tasty.

Went for another HDT wee-wee. At least the water-demands have all been of a similar nature today, even if a tad fierce perhaps?

I made a brew of tea and got the medications taken. I then had a go at getting the Nokia camera, no… Nikon camera to take a landscape photograph. Changed the settings, then took a picture from the balcony. And success! It came out just grand! At least know now, how to change it back in the settings. If I remember.

As I turned to come back in from the balcony, I saw so many dead insects on and under the floorboards. Bees, midges and flies! And the cold had gone through to the flat when I opened the window! Grumph & Carbolic!

Then I got the casserole in the oven after reading the cooking instructions. It needs 30 minutes with the cellphone punctured, then I have to take it out, remove the plastic and give it another 15 minutes. What are your odds of me having an Accifauxpa while doing it? I set the timer and took it with me to the computer to update this… It was slow going, but at least the Virgin media was working again.

I stripped the cellophane off of the container, stirred the concoction and put it back in the oven, also added a sourdough baguette, in the hopes that everything will be cooked at the same time.

Getting tired now. Had a quick go at Facebooking photos. But…

Gave up on computing. Gerumph!

I’ll have to catch-up in the morning. Globdangerations!

I got the ready-made meal into the oven. Later adding the gungo beans and BBQ sauce. And had a read of the contents written on the sleeve. Which were, (get ready…)

Cooked roasted red pepper sausages (29%) – (pork (76%), roasted red pepper (16%), citrus fibre, salt, spices, herb, garlic, dried red pepper, filled into a beef collagen casing), passata, water, sliced red pepper (9%), roasted onion (9%), roasted red pepper, cannellini beans (3.5%), red kidney beans (3.5%), sliced spring onion, onion purée, diced carrot, garlic purée, pork bouillon, yeast extract, ham powder, pork, salt, antioxidant (rosemary extract), onion powder), Worcester sauce (water, white vinegar, sugar, salt, tamarind extract, onion powder, barley malt extract, garlic powder, ground ginger, concentrated lemon juice, clove powder, chilli powder), maize starch, spices (contains mustard), salt, seaweed granules. Oh boy, what have I bought? This might not be a good idea! I got the timer on, and after 30 minutes, took it out, removed the film, stirred it, added the gungo beans & Texan BBQ sauce. Back in the oven with the Sourdough baguette for 15-minutes longer.

I felt a little dubious as I served it up on the tray. Put the things in to soak in the oven, and into the junk room and on the recliner to eat this, what I thought was an over ingredientated meal. It was great! I expected it to be too hot and spicy for me. But it tasted spot-on to me! A flavour-rating of 7.7/10! I devoured it with more relish than I have any meal for days now!

I think this list of health and danger listing, shows it to be a healthy meal? But I’m not sure. It was indeed a coenaculous meal, that was enjoyed with degust.

It was £3.50 and was 550g. I expect Iceland will have run out of stock by the time I get to go and buy some more! Huh!

With a warm, satisfied feeling in the stomach, I washed the pots and got the handwashing done.

(0000000000000000000 [Ululations! Finger nerve dying on me again!)

I just had to take this shot of the paradisaical, colourful evening sky. I used the Nikon camera, as it has a ‘Night Landscape’ option, which seems to come out more vivid than the Auto one. I’ll try an Auto and a Night one of the same scenes for the morning’s view, so I can show the difference between them.

I had a drink of something that I have not had for donkey’s years – A can of Pepsi, a sugar-free one. It got the wind-up for me! I got them on offer, delivered from Iceland. A shame the ycould not supply the Sherberts and bread as well. Grrr!

I was pretty sure that sleep would come quickly tonight. I couldn’t have wronger! Humph!

I spent hours and hours, not even any short nod-offs! I watched the TV later into the night than I have done since in my teens! Gawd knows when I did get to kip, but I remember a Law & Oder programme starting at 23:00hrs. I reckon I must have nodded-off while that was on.

Will, I ever catch up on the Nottingham City Homes-Repair team’s imposed sleeping ban of nine-days duration?

I’m not too hopeful. Haha!

TTFNski.

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 22nd October 2019: A reet different day today! A long one, sorry!

Tuesday 22nd October 2019

Scots Gaelic: Dimàirt 22 Dàmhair 2019

12:30hrs: I woke in a fratchy, irritated mood, to start with anyway. Due the my not being able to sleep for longer than ten minutes at a time, then waking up with the mind being tormented with worries and concerns every time I stirred awake! I’m unsure if I am suffering neurosis, aganglionosis, or psychosis. I know I have onychocryptosis (An ingrowing toenail) Hehehe!

This time, I got up, I needed the Porcelain Throne anyway. I struggled quickly free of the second-hand, c1968, horrendously rickety recliner – the one Xyrophobia-suffering crook,  Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting and stealing my valuables. Well, he knows I’m leaving them in my will to Sister Jane, and he thought it would save him time and effort in fetching them later. Makes sense, I suppose? I’ve half-a-mind to change the will! Hahaha!

The evacuation was far messier than of late. A lot of cleaning up was needed afterwards. The sink plug hole was blocked again! I put a bottle of Sink-Unblocker down the pipe after I managed to free it. It costs me a fortune and a lot of bother to keep buying these to use almost every day, and I dropped the toilet roll twice! Oy-Yoy-Yoy!

To the kitchen, took the medications, made a brew, and wrung-out the handwashing and got it on the airers.

Then I got on the computer… Well, that was the plan anyway. But Mr $19 salaried Fries, head of the Liberty-Global Virgin Internet Media, had other ideas, again!

The rigmarole of getting it back on had to be gone through again. The reset button didn’t work. Computer off then back on again, tried resetting. It didn’t work. Turned everything off, left it ten minutes and tried again, after giving the pathetic Liberty-Global Virgin Internet Media another ten-minutes to come back to strength, and aha! I was back online. It was Bloody Slow Though! Thanks again, Mr Fries! Git!

I pressed on with updating the Sunday blog. Finishing it about three hours later. I posted it off, sent a few photos to Pinterest, Inchcock’s Photos Then went on the WordPress Reader section, some decent stuff on there this morning, so I spent a bit longer than usual viewing others work.

I made a start on this blog. After a couple of hours, my phagomania overcame me. So I investigated what was available for some breakfast (A rarity indeed!). However, I remembered the After-Stroke physical exercises later today and opted to have just another mug of tea ad a few shortcake biscuits. When I say, few, it is in a loose manner of the word, perhaps. Hehe!

When taking the picture with the Nikon camera, of the biscuits and tea, I got the shakes.

And found I’d chosen the Night Landscape option. So I opened the unwanted, light-and-view-blocking kitchen window and took this effort to see if it would come out any different to the Auto setting. I don’t think it did! Odd, how I get so confused with learning anything new to me, nowadays?

I dunked the biscuits repeatedly in the tea, then got the YouTube on for half-an-hour to watch.

I decided I’d walk to town this morning, so I got the ablutions tended to. And a fair job it was too! Dropsies were at a minimum: Toothbrush, toothpaste, flannel and Sock-Glide are all I recall dropping… oh, and the shower stool when I moved it out to mop the shower afterwards. No bleeding today, either. The pins (legs) were not in good condition this morning but were not giving me much, if any pain. Other than Arthur Itis of course, who grumbles every time any bending of the knees takes place. Tsk!

I made up some black bags, two small recycling bags and put the cleaned empty sauce and beetroot jars in the trolley as well. I took the small and black bags to the chute, hen realised it was too early to put them down yet. I’m so glad I remembered! But unsure if I will forget to put them down later! I put them in the corner, praying I would not forget about them when I came home. (Miserably, I failed, they went right out of my head, until the following morning at 02:30hrs, when again it was too early to use the noisy chute!)

I took the jars down with me.

I poddled out of the foyer into the dark, gloomy, very nippy and chilly, but rainless, dry morning, and deposited the empties into the overflowing City of Nottingham, pensionary, senior Citizens, alcoholics bottle-bank-bin Hehe!

I set off on my mini-marathon, at a fair rate of knots for me, too. (The route taken, is graphicalised on the right-hand side here.)

The hands were getting cold as I plodded along Chestnut Walk and turned right to go down Winchester Street.

I almost had an Accifauxa with the three-wheeler walking-guide as I started hobbling down the hill.

I’ve no idea why, I didn’t have any Dizzy Dennis bother, but suddenly the trolley leant over to the right, and I thought after the event, how lucky I was to have regained my balance with the cart, and not gone on a tumble.

It could have been a lingering trace of my beloved Woodthorpe Court’s spirit. That lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the universal continuum, illusion, delusion, & hallucination, that had followed me. Hehehe! But all was well after a few moments, and the trolley-guide, that does not like going downhill at any time, behaved itself again.

When I arrived at the junction with Mapperley Rise, I could see the early morning traffic was queuing at the temporary traffic lights on the steepest part of the hill. I turned and took this slightly blurry zoomed-in shot. Not one of my bestest! Humph!

As I limped on down Winchester Street, to Mansfeld Road, I noticed the fantastic change in the sky. I took these shots, one of up the hill, the other downwards. The second one almost looked like a rainbow up there in the skies!

By the time I’d walked down near Mansfield Road, the day had got so much lighter, and quickly too.

When I hobbled along Mansfield Street, a car had parked so far onto the pavement: I had to collapse the trolley for me to get through the gap! Never mind, eh!

I plodded through Marshall Street and out onto the main road. I turned left and saw how busy the place looked. There was an almost lively look to Mansfield Road. The buses were plentiful, but I wouldn’t be tempted into catching one – it was too early to use my bus pass! Hehehe!

I concentrated on avoiding the holes, dips and cracks in the pavement, and I doddered, determinedly onward. Up the hill and down into Carrington. In the distance, I could see the traffic far ahead at the Hucknall Road traffic light junction, with ominous blue lights flashing. Oh, dear!

As I was passing my beloved, but unreliable Sherringham Park Medical Practise, a lady pavement cyclist was steaming at high speed towards me. I fumbled to get the camera out in time to get a snap before she had gone, hence the dodgy quality of the photo. That’s my story, anyway. Haha!

Much further along, and the Gregory Boulevard traffic island, I thought I’d take a snap of the traffic, as it was getting busier now. 60.25.0. Neighbour. Another ill-defined, disaster of a photograph!

And yet, the hands seemed to be okay, and no Peripheral Neulagia shakes were felt or identified? This trait was baffling me somewhat, not knowing why the pictures were so blurred?

I got over the crest of the hill and down towards the City Centre along Mansfield Road.

An ignorant, nasty, uncaring Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist came by me from behind, and he caught my shoulder, but only lightly. But it still made me jump a bit. Swine!

But, for some reason, I was in a decent mood, and it did not bother me as much as it usually would have. Anyway, as you might be able to see, the paving stones on this sidewalk, need my concentration, to avoid having any Accifauxpas!

It was slow going until the slabs changed at the bottom of the hill. The trolley did get stuck in ruts and bits of broken slabs a few times, but my being in Defcon One mode, I coped without any accidents.

I called in the Bargain Shop. Where I bought, some treats for the nurses and patients at the After-Stroke session. I also got some stick-on hooks; and why I bought them, is a mystery to me now! I tried some years ago, when I first moved into this flat, and they were crap! Why? What for? Humph!

The knees and feet were hardly painful at all after the mini-marathon? I made my way onto Goldsmith Street and took a couple of shots of the Trent University main buildings.

Not many students about yet? (This soon changed, though) I turned right to take a picture of one of the ugliest buildings in the City Centre. The rear of the Royal Concert Hall, and believe me, it is still prettier than the front of it is!

I’m afraid the photo I took of the front of the monstrosity, has done one of the mysterious disappearing acts from the SD card! Grrr!

I got in the Church Hall and greeted those already in there. Handed the nibbles out to the nurse. We soon launched into the exercise routines. During which, both of the hearing aid batteries ran out simultaneously. Which amused the others, as I couldn’t hear the commands being shouted out to stop, and move on to the next physio torture exercice. Hehehe!

I had to miss or try only half-heartedly, doing the knee bending exercises. But, for the first time, after about eight sessions, the After-Stroke Obersturmbannfhreress, Tasmin, almost seemed to understand why, and issued no looks of ‘Doubt;’ ‘Suspicion’ or of a ‘Dubious’ nature in my direction. Well, not when I was looking, anyway. Of course, I could not hear what she was saying anyhow.

Same with the music for the dancing sessions, I could not keep in timing with the music I couldn’t hear. Then, there was a rest and relaxing session. Tasmin talked us through it, while the music played to calm us. I just sat there and picked my nose, trying not to pass-wind, waiting for the session that I couldn’t hear anyway, had finished.

We had a talk-it-out session, about our experiences having and after our strokes. I was the only one who lost total control of bodily functions, (Tears gushed from my eyes, I spewed up and nearly choked on it, passed everything from the rear end, and wee-wee’d myself, all at the same time, then collapsed on the escaped bodily-mess, on the floor!) I know this because I asked the others if anyone had suffered embarrassing movements while having their stroke. But eight out of the ten patients there had not even known they were having a stroke.

But, I enjoyed this session more than any before. Being paired with Precious helped, I’m sure. The gal is in a poor way, and this allowed me to do bits to help, and it cheered me up, and I hope, the gal too.

No bowling again this week. Instead, we got two table games going. Divided the members into two teams of four, or a four and a five. (Well, we went to which table we were directed to)

A building block game, and one of the Dominoes on the other table. I was on the Domino team, with Precious and two others. We were all instructed to use our worse hands. Which produced a bit of fun, as I was placing a domino, and got the nerve-relinking hand at the time, and it shot off about fifteen-foot away across the hall! Hehe! Thankfully, it didn’t hit anyone on its trip! Only two of we four knew how to play the game. Which gave me another chance to get Precious involved, we all seemed to enjoy it!

When we swapped over tables, I soon had the support of the others, in my declining to bother. The blocks scattered about many onto the floor at my first and only effort to try the game. If I had stayed playing the game, we would all have spent the time picking up blocks and no time left to play. I stayed nearby, supporting Precious. Again, it went down well with the folks, many a laugh and smile!

We broke up after the games were enjoyed. I offered my farewells, and set off to Tesco, to try and get some Puff Pastry fingers and milk. As I was walking down through Trinity Square, I espied what was left of a push-cycle, chained to the bike-stand! The Nottinghamian Bike-Stealers had taken all but the frame! Gits!

I made my way into Victoria Centre (Mall), and to the Tesco store. I came out with Gammon steaks, fresh tomatoes and three packs of the shortcrust fingers, and £5.50 lighter. (I did forget to get the milk though, I didn’t realise it then, but did on the bus home later!) What a Schmuck! I paid and departed, out onto Milton Street.

Where I took this picture of the buses, especially for Sandie, Marie, Pattie and Lona, TFZer gals, because I know (I think?) they are interested in our different-coloured buses. ♥

Then I hobbled on to Upper Parliament Street, to walk down to Queen Street and wait for the next L9 bus.

I spotted how cram-packed that Clumber Street was today. I took this snap, getting a scowl, but two smiles from the three lads in the frame. Hehe!

I only had eight minutes to wait for the L9 to arrive. And was soon ensconced in the side-saddle seat, on the way home, and battling not to get rattled off of the chair! A lady from the flats got on the bus and slipped me a Nuthall’s Minto sweet, bless her. Oh, they are now called Bassetts Mintoes by the way, another independent company bought up by the conglomerates!

It was as we arrived on Mapperley Tops, that I remembered I had not got the milk at Tesco! For heavens sakes, Tsk! So, I dropped off the bus on Sherwood Rise and made my way to the Aldi Store. I came out £6.36 lighter, with; Canned garden peas, sourdough baguettes, deodorant, Brunswick cooked ham, rice and cheese rolls. I paid at the checkout and repacked the good at the counter.

Then walked along to Mapperley Rise to walk back down to the flats. Taking this shot of the magnificent thick Cumulus clouds in the sky. So beautiful. The walk down the Rise, was a little stressful, making my way around the Gas Repair holes in the ground, and barriers and cracks in the pavement. No photographs were taken, I was too concentrated with getting home safely and keeping the three-wheeler upright.

I got into the flats, and through the link-passage to my Woodthorpe Court. That lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the universal continuum, proffering illusion, delusion, confusion, stress-making, & hallucination bearing home!

As I neared the swipe door into Woodthorpe Court, the sad, pathetic fact that I had still not got any milk dawned on me! With morosity at my failure now evident, I got up to the apartment, to find the lights on in the hallway? I thought I had turned them off? I’d have put money on it! Ah, well!

I had an ELPJL (Extra-Long-Powerful-Jet-Like) wee-wee. Washed, made a brew, and pondered about the lack of milk situation. After much prevaricating, ruminating and ideation, I opted to make an Iceland order for the morning delivery – for milk! But of course, there is a minimum order. So, I placed some instant potatoes onto the list, a lot of them. Just in case the potato crop is crap and really is as bad as they say it is. And ordered more kitchen towels. I hope I live long enough to use ’em. Har-har!

I was now well-shattered healthwise. But I had enjoyed today’s After-Stroke session such a lot and was proud of my mini-hobble to get to it. But now, I was paying the price. Hehe!

I got some nosh sorted and served up.

Baked beans with caramelised balsamic vinegar flavouring added. And some buttered cheesy-tomato cobs. Got settled into the Xyrophobia-suffering crooked, but good looking  Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting and stealing my valuables as he fitted more clandestine CCTV cameras in the flat, so he can work-out when I am showering, eating or sleeping so he can call me on the landline.

The meal was only fairish. 5/10. I shan’t be using the caramelised balsamic any more. The bottle will be emptied, rinsed and find its way into the rubbish bin! Eugh!

I did the handwashing, made up a bottle of spring water and orange cordial, and settled to watch two police programmes on the TV. Off course, because I didn’t want to sleep, and usually cannot get to sleep when I want to… I fell asleep!

About an hour later, the landline burst into life, and the red light flashed. I half-asleep, half-fell out of the recliner to get to it before it stopped. I was pleased when I heard Generalfeldmarschalless Housing Patch Manager/ Catwalk Model, Angela Gould, on the other end of the line. But it was hard to concentrate being so confused after waking. IT certainly was nice to get the call, all the same. Thank you.

I had a wee-wee, another of the ELPJL mode. Took a guzzle of the spring water concoction. Jiggled the handwashing on the airers. And gt down in the recliner again.

I lay there expecting to struggle to get back to sleep… within what seemed seconds… Zzzz!

Inchcock Today – Mon 21 Oct 2019: Stuck indoors again – but the beautiful Phlebotomy nurse’s visit did me good!

Monday 21st October 2019

Croatian: Ponedjeljak, 21 Listopada 2019. Godine

02:35hrs: I woke and wriggled a bit, involuntarily passed wind, and it was apparent that RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis), was in a better mood this morning, but Back-Pain-Brenda was still irked about my near-tumble last night.

I rose, lifting my ever-increasing body-mass from the Xyrophobia-suffering, thieving Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet five-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, recliner.

Typing this reminded me of the crow I thought I’d seen last week when I took this picture. Come to think of it, I might have been a cleverly clandestine designed imitation Crow-shaped ‘Drone’. Building them and spying on people is one of Pete’s hobbies, along with sneakily fitting secret CCTV cameras in peoples homes, and stealing valuables! I think Sister Jane mentioned something about he was creating a new expensive long-range model drone-droid, to add to his arsenal? Mmm? Back to the diary, got myself sidetracked there.

I made towards the GPEB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency Bucket), to find it filled up more than ever before. How this can happen, and me not being aware, I find astounding. If ever I have to get up from a seat or chair, at any time, you can be sure it is going to be uncomfortable and painful. Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna, Back-Pain-Brenda and Hernia Harry, or any combination of, are going to complain in the only way they know how – by hurting me! So, how in the name of Gawd, do I get up and wee, then sit down again, several times, judging by the quantity in the bucket, without my remembering doing so? Come on you in-the-know educated folks, tell me, please! Hehe! Lynton? I’d love to know and understand!

Anyroad, I topped up the fluid in the bucket with an LRWS (Long-Reluctant-Weak-Sprinkly) wee-wee and took the container for emptying and disinfecting off to the wet-room. To my surprise, I did not need to use the Porcelain Throne? I felt all the escapages of wind I was passing, might be a sign of the need to go, but no!

After emptying and sanitising the bucket, I noticed that  I had not got the alarm-wristlet on! I was not panicking, at first. It had to be somewhere in the wet room, the only place I take it off when indoors. But despite my in-depth searching, looking in every nook and cranny, it wasn’t to be found! Now the stomach is getting a little knotted, and I was a bit tensed up about this, as well as self-derogatory feelings in the mind.

Off I went to check in the recliner room. And found signs of Nocturnal-Nibbling having taken place! It was far too early to use the vacuum cleaner yet. But this didn’t bother me as much as my exploration to find the wristlet! I’d half-hoped to find it on the bookcase, where I often leave it when going out. Phwert!

After a good hunt around, I had no luck in finding it.

Off to the kitchen and fumbled around looking and failing to find the alarm! Annoyed and so angry with myself now.

As a final thought, I might have gone out wearing it and put it in the jacket pocket.

So back into the hallway, and searched the pockets, without any success. I hobbled looking on the floor, in case it had dropped off, the strap broke or the like.

Then I spotted it! Wondrous, once I saw it, I remembered leaving it there when I came back after dishing up the cheesy-meal to Josie’s flat yesterday! While feeling so pleased that I had found it, the inner self-traducement long-winded and cruelly vicious! I didn’t spare the verbal rod with myself!

At long last, I got around to doing the medication-taking and made a brew.

The cleaned bucket was soon in regular use again: various types of wee-weeing were performed in it over the next few hours. If there were an award for passing-water, I would surely have qualified! Hehe! I suppose it’s best to make a laugh at these things. Innit?

But I must remember to remove it before my beloved phlebotomy nurse♥ arrives, also I must get the ablutions done in time as well.

So, I did the updating to the Sunday post as quickly as I could. Only stopping for the odd visits to the GPEB, and making a few brews, I took this photograph on the right.

I got the big bag of recyclables bagged, and took it down to the bin outside. went to put it in the bin, only to find they have now locked the lid, leaving a tiny port-hole to put the stuff in through! So, I just left the big white bag on the floor next to it.

Then, try not to laugh too loud! I went to go back in, and realised I had not taken the door fob with me! So, I waited until someone came along to let me return into the flats. Things were getting a little tetchy and ratty today.

Ah, the time has flown!

Got the handwashing done, and hung up to dry. Just a shirt and pair of socks. (I always cringe when I write socks, it makes me think of the sock-glide battles, Haha!)

Then, as I hung-up  the shirt, I missed the bar and both hangers came tumbling down. All the washing fell on the floor! So, I put them in the bowl again, to soak overnight. Grumph and botherations!

I must get the ablutions sorted out, and get the nocturnal-nibbling evidence cleaned up. Back in a while, I hope!

Well, what a Whoopsiedangleplop, Accifauxpas ridden session that was! If it was go-wrongable, it seems it did! These things are sent to try us. It’s just that I reckon I’m getting more of the trying things than others are! Haha!

  • The sink blocked when having a shave.
  • The blue toothbrush handle broke.
  • Dropped this session: Shaving foam can, toothpaste, shower-head, & flannel (3).
  • The shaving foam ran out, well stopped working with plenty left in it?
  • A few cuts shaving!
  • Stubbed the toe!
  • The shower drain was very slow.
  • Nicked finger on the sock-glide holder!

Got all perfumed-up and dressed, and went to the kitchen. Where I nearly went head-over-foot on a slippery patch! So I got sorted out and started to mop the floor.

The door chimes rang out, I called ‘come in’, but no one did. So, I risked life and limb walking over the slippery floor to get to the door. It was Josie, bless her, returning the plate tray and cutlery from yesterday’s nosh. Said she enjoyed it, which was good to hear. We had a minute or so chinwagging, said out farewells, and back to her flat she went, and I returned to the kitchen mopping up session.

I was almost finished when the Intercom chimed-out. It was the most beautiful Polish Phlebotomy Nurse. She kindly let me finish the mopping, before taking two vials of blood today. She told me why, but I didn’t catch what she said. After her taking the blood, she had a look at the kitchen floor and found it was still slippery. She asked if I’d mind her mopping it again, I thanked her, and she soon had the tiny room washed for me once more. She said when it had dried, I must check and if it is still slippery, put something down, even if it is only paper. Bless her cotton socks! ♥. Off she floated, as you would expect from an Angel!

I eventually got the nocturnal-nibbling evidence removed from the recliner, with the hand-held vacuum.

Then pondered about tomorrow’s, last, I think it is, After-Stroke Physio session. I had a hunt around for the right money for the bus fare, but could not find any. Off course, I used to keep spare cash for just an occasion. But they were stolen along with all my other monies, by my Xyrophobia-suffering, house robbing, Brother-in-Law Pete, when he was flat-breaking (He called it flat-sitting) when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTV cameras, had an in-depth ferret-around for my valuables, found them, and stole them all. (I still haven’t got them back yet five-months later). I don’t expect to get them returned, they are suddenly too heavy to carry back to the flat, but were not too heavy to lift and take away when he committed the robbery? He’s a bit of a bully-boy, so I’ll say nowt else.

So, more suffering for Old Inchcock. I may have to walk to the session or overpay for the bus fare. Enough of this talk, it’ll only make him feel better knowing the hassle he’s caused me. Humph!

I got the Sun blog updated finished and started this one.

Fatigued again, I got the nosh prepared. A hastily prepared cold nosh. Surimi, tuna, beetroot, tomatoes, chip-sticks, old rather stale milk roll bread, an apple and an out-of-date limoncello dessert. Favour Rating: 6/10.

But I was ready to collapse and sleep when I made it. Not that sleep came properly, of course.

I washed the pots and settled in the rickety recliner, and gave up trying for any kip, and put on a Claude Van Dame movie to watch. The duration of the film was 93 minutes. But by the time it had been viewed, it was about three hours later! Constantly nodding off for a few minutes, waking and rewinding to find where it was I nodded-off, only to nod-off again and continually repeating the process. It ruined the film for me!

Tsk!

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 16th October 2019: A few psychotomimetic moments today – so no change there. Hehe!

Wednesday 16th October 2019

Croatian: Srijeda 16 Listopada 2019. Godine

Tuesday 15th October: I fell asleep, a desperately-needed sleep, somewhere around 19:00hrs, and burst awake at 22:00hrs. In an incontrovertible, need of the Porcelain Throne. The immediate odds of me making it to the Throne in time were not good! I partly fumbled, stumbled, and galumphed my stomach-dominated chassis from the £300, second-hand, c1968, grottily-beige-coloured, rickety recliner, kept my balance okay, grabbed the stick, and hobbled to the wet room, with surprising deft-dexterity.

I almost leapt onto the seat, as the evacuation began. And it went on, and on and on! I believe it was a physical impossibility for so much poop to have been produced and stored in my innards! If it were possible to dimidiate the contents that were released, I still think it would have been too much, even with my bulbous belly. And as for how the toilet managed to get the ordure off via the U-bend into the sewers, I just don’t know!

I cleaned and washed the dandies, turned to exit the wet room, a little jerking from the leg, and I caught the Sock-Glide on the shower stool. I now have a new bruise on my foot. I’ll photograph it later. Humph! I may have muttered something under my breath, like ‘bother’; or ‘blow-it’; I’m not sure exactly.

To the kitchen, and moved the handwashing onto the airers. Then took the medications, made a brew. I almost got the saucepans filled with water, out of habit! I had been nine-days without any hot water, so it’s understandable, especially if you know me. Hahaha!

I began to update Tuesday’s post, at last, a lot of it, with so many photographicalisations to sort out. A memory testing time for me. But the fingertips and hands were not too bad at this moment. The leg and shoulder were both persistent in their jumping and jerking, but they didn’t turn into an actual Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance routines, as yet anyway. I pressed on and got the blog finished and sent off.

While I was thinking, it must be about time for the Morrison orders to arrive; the door chime rang out its ‘I only want to be with you’ tune. It was the van driver delivering the fodder.

He handed them in through the door, I’d forgot to fetch the return carriers, but the chap was okay about it. Thanked him, and got the things into the kitchen.

Thank heavens I might be able to get out again, and not need so many delivered foods coming in, with there minimum orders.

Not that I can get out today. So much graphicalisationing needed to be done, catch-up wise. I must get round to doing them soon, or the day will be gone again!

The fridge and freezer are now even fuller than they both were last week!

It was drizzling a bit out there this morning. I took some shots with the Canon camera again. That is the one that when I got the shakes. Last week, I changed the picture to a sort of semi-landscape setting, but don’t know how I did it, to put it back again. Twit! Hey-Ho!

I got some mushrooms in the saucepan warming up. To have with some Uncle Benn’s BBQ flavoured rice, black bean sauce, tomatoes and some frankfurters. I intend to use some basil and onion salt in it too! Maybe even a dro of soya? I opted to use the soya in the mushrooms instead.

I then made a start on this blog and then had to go on CorelDraw for three days, to make up the graphics. (Well, it felt like four actually!)

The intercom rang, luckily I was in the hall at the time and saw the light come, else I would never have heard the weak tune played if I was in the other room! It was the repair-men, came to look at the crumbling balcony roof. They agreed that the window openings were dangerous, in fact, one lad trapped his finger on the press forward and pull back paddle opener, straight after I’d just warned him how dangerous they were! They also had difficulty in getting through to many flats, where the new intercom was not working! Also, I was not the only tenant with a crumbling new balcony roof and cracks in the apartment’s inner walls. I think they were just coming to assess if the job was urgent or not. As they left, I got the camera to take a photo of the lads as they departed from the balcony. Bless ’em!

Then back to the graphicalising. I can’t last much longer, though. The depression and fatigue are moving in now. Haha!

No-good! I just had to stop working on CorelDraw and turned off the computer. I was so tired it was farcical. All mistake-ridden work and the fingertips have started to jump and jerk, and Reflux Roger had begun to give me some hassle.

I got the handwashing done and hung to dry on hangers above the kitchen sink.

Had a wee-wee, of the ELDOP (Extra-Long-Drawn-Out-Persistent) variety. Then minutes later, I had to have another, this time it was of the LWDS (Long-Weak-Dribbling-Sprinkling). The wee-wees were of changing styles, but up till now, far less often.

Then the rice nosh was sorted out. The franks were cut in half, chopped tomatoes, and black bean sauce added, and it looked eatable in the extreme. Some Milk Roll bread and two butterfly cakes added.

Got it served up and took the medications while eating it. A rather morish taste.

A flavour rating of 8/10 was given. After dining on the rice and medications for half-an-hour or so, I went to get the pots washed up. Guilt-Mode meant I only ate half of the cakes.

(Mind you, it was the cream and jam half, Hahaha!)

The sky view turned all bright for a few minutes, and the sun (What’s that then? Hehe!) shone through. There seemed to be a double layer of clouds up there.

The pins looked to be so much less knobbly and distorted? Especially the knees.  I wondered, are they like this due to the INR Warfarin level being so low? I checked later to see on the internet, with this being found:

Q) Can stress affect my INR level when taking Warfarin?

A) Simply put, yes. Science has shown that because of the effect stress can have on your body, Warfarin can stay in your system longer than normal, causing a spike in INR levels. If you are able to recognise when you are stressed, you can take steps to try to manage it. INR is too low, there is an increased risk of fatal bleeding.

So, my being in the Red Zone, with the real risk of a Heart Attack, Blood Clots or another Stroke, is something else I have to thank The Nottingham City Homes-Repair team for? I must read up on how to come back and haunt someone, after I go the way of all flesh, bite the bullet, kick-the-bucket, croak-out, go belly up, flatline, perish, snuff-it, loop-the-loop, go the way of the dinosaurs, give up the ghost, conk out, cash in my chips, peg-out, or saunter from this Mortal-Coil. I shall return! – Contented-Vengeful-Menacing-Maniacal-Laughter-Mode engaged!

Now, how can I find out who is to blame for my being treated so shoddily? My very thought of the need, desire and passion for haunting and terrorising him or her, offers me more joy than my Nottingham City Homes directed misery and life has done lately.

I got settled down, and a landline call came in. It was from the deliciously desirous Phlobotomy nurse. She will be calling again for more blood in the morning. She even de her appointment for a little earlier for me, bless her cotton socks ♥. 08:00 > 10:00hrs.

Sleep did come early tonight, and blessedly welcome it was!

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 15th October 2019: The day could have gone betterer. Humph!

Tuesday 15th October 2019

Hungarian: 2019. Október 15, Kedd

04:50hrs: I woke up, and it was so late. I’d had a great, much-needed sleep of about five-hours. Immediately a touch of panicalisationing kicked in! So much rambled through the brain-box, I thought the bonce might burst-open. Hehe! The After-Stroke Physio session today, no time to get yesterday’s bog finished, as I had to catch the 07:25hrs number 40 bus, to get to town, do some urgent shopping (milk, seaweed, bread, and tomatoes). Hunt for bargains at the Poundland store, get to the physio session. I needed to try and clean things up a bit, from the boiler repair last night… Ah, yes! I must test it to make sure it is working as well!

The mind, now presented with a definite plan, encouraged the extraction of my well-developed, crude, but flabby-bouncy body which the sickeningly handsome, same age as me, Xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet five-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, recliner. The usual need for the Porcelain Throne arrived as I was freeing my lumbering body and aching limbs, so off to the wet room

I found that the shower floor drain was blocked again, as it was last night after the fitters had been dumping water down, in their effort to empty the hot water boiler of water. It was too early for me to turn on the shower to try and get rid of the water, cause the noise would have disturbed my neighbours, so I got down on my knees and tried with the not big enough to cover all of the holes, plunger. But, amazingly it seemed to work, and eventually, the water ebbed away down the drain.

Getting back up off of the floor was not easy, but thanks to the grab rails, not as bad as it might have been without them. I must keep an eye on the clock, to avoid my pathetically persistent habit of missing the bus!

The legs looked somewhat thin this morning? Less vivid lumps, blood papsules, spider veins etc. as well! Then a reminder of the need for the Throne arrived, ann those few paces to the Porcelain, had never been taken quickly before! A good job too. Because Diahorrea Duncan was still lurking within my inner system. I surprised myself with the energy I had this morning.

I was so pleased to find the hot water back on. Not as hot as it usually is, bit I expect it will take a while longer before it returns to it’s typically lovely and shavable with, temperature.

A fair bit of cleaning up needed to be done, but I only played at it, making it look not so bad, I didn’t have much time, with the Physio (and, I anticipate, some overspending on unneeded food) session to get to.

Back to the front dump-room to get the togs ready for after the stand-up ablutions. Again, too early to use the shower, too noisy.

The rain was pouring outside. Off to the kitchen and got the kettle on, took the tablets, and added an extra Codeine 30g, cause Arthur Itis was beginning to give me a lot of stick, suddenly. Swine!

I had to go back to the wet room, get the stand-up wash and shave done. The higher than the usual amount of dropsies, along with the EQ’s warning of things to come will be medical-wise disquieting, had me concerned a little. Just about everything, apart from the sock-glide, I managed to drop, many more than once. Yet, I felt alright, hunky-dory, in myself? The ablutions were tended to, and with no shaving cuts Smug-Mode-Engaged!

I got well-wrapped up. Although the rain had almost stopped, it looked a tad threatening outside.

I allowed plenty of time for getting to the bus stop on Winchester Street. I took down with me, a bag of recycling stuff and some empty sauce jars for the green bin.

I had to call for another Porcelain Throne visit before leaving. A much easier session this one was, not so messy, and even left a less pungent aroma, as well! Just thought I’d mention it. Haha!

Checked everything was with me that was needed; Bus Pass for getting home with, The £2.20 in cash for the bus fare going. Hearing aids in. Cash card in my wallet. Camera and mobile phone too! Shopping list and I’d got the right glasses on.

The precipitation was only light, as I hobbled along Chestnut Walk with the three-wheeled-walker, and to the bus-shelter, with four minutes to spare.

I took this snap, then and the bus arrived dead on time.

A sad beginning to the day’s trip. I merrily greeted the driver, for which I got a scowl in return, and dropped my £2.30 in the payment pot thing, asking for a ‘£2.20 please’. The scowl changed into a look of utter contempt, followed by a muttered and forced through his teeth – “It’s £2-30!” Picking through all my pockets in search of the extra 10p!I managed to find it from four pockets of the jacket and trousers. And it was all in one and two-pence pieces! I did feel a right shlimazel!

I got settled and snuggled myself on the corner on a side-saddle seat. For I knew what was coming now, as I had learned from the previous Tuesday morning trips on this 40 bus, the passengers it picks up along Wells and St Anns Well Road. The dozens of Robotic, attached to their mobiles schoolkids, would fill up the bus to capacity, and the ride will get uncomfortable, to say the least.

And so it did! If any passenger had wanted to get off before the city centre they would not have been able to get through the mixture of plebian, well-heeled, foul-mouthed (the few that spoke), texting and phone calling, game playing, multitude, of comatose, stupefied, and in-another-world, reluctant to go to school ankle-snappers and  children. When they got off at the same stop as I did, on Upper Parlament Street, not one of them was talking to anyone else, as they clumsily banged into the trolley and my knees and on my feet, as they stampeded to the door! But at least I got through the journey without any serious injury this time. I’ll miss these life-threatening trips when the After-Stroke Physio Sessions end!

I walked along to the pedestrian crossing and over and into Victoria Centre (Mall). I hobbled through to the other end and went in the Tesco store in search of some liquid soap flakes, seaweed mild, pork knuckle, filtered milk, and flakey pastry fingers.

I got the handwash liquid and seaweed. They were out of the filtered milk, the pastry fingers, and, pork knuckle. At  the checkout, I put on a cheery, “Good morning, are you okay?” Oh, dearie me! I got in return a glare that said, ‘You talking me!’, almost threateningly! No spoken answer. Ah, well!

Out into the drizzle again. Along Milton Street, and called in the Little Waitrose store, which proved a mistake, financially. Tsk! I only got three items, but tat their famously high prices, and their habit of having something different on sale, I couldn’t resist things. I ended up with a packet of six mini Maryland Cookies to use as nibbles for the After-Stroke clan treat but still needed more, in case a few extra patients turn up. I weakened again and bought some Kenyan podded peas. Paid at the self-service check-outs, but a kind assistant put them through for me. That was nice, seeing someone friendly and helpful, at last. I thanked the lady.

So I went to the Pound Stretcher shop a couple of shop units away. I had hoped that they would have some more of the Ventagliette biscuits, but they had sold out! I did get a little tin of cookies for the stroke nang, and some caramelised almonds and potato biscuits for myself. Paid-up and made my way up through Trinity Square on my way to the St Andrew’s with Castle Gate URC Church. I arrived a little early so had a walkabout taking some photographicalisations.

I got in the hall and put the nibbles in the box near the sink. Others quickly followed me into the hall, but we only had six in attendance. The session started after a little talk that I could not hear anything of. It was going well, very good, in fact, the first round of exercises was really enjoyable for me. Until we got to the bending the knees ones. I was just unable to do them, the pain from RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis) was worse than it has ever been before. At times this seemed to bring the dizzies on? I felt a bit of a nuisance really, and think I either fell asleep on one of the sit-down jobs or may have passed-out… Things were confused when I did come back to reality. With a nurse above me, and telling me to sit down and not do the exercises. I did what I could, but wasn’t up to par. I refused to sit down, which annoyed a few. But sitting made Arthur Itis worse, the didn’t seem to grasp this.

We had a talk later, while the drinks and nibbles were shared out. From a Stroke Survivor. The speech was interesting and humorously read out by the chap Steven. His being unarticulate after the stroke, meant he stuttered and found it hard to get words out. Much of what he said, rang a bell. I thanked him afterwards. It was more a social thing than a learning curve. He loved doing the speech though, and good for him!

The meeting broke up, again just in time to make me miss the next bus home! Haha! We said our farewells.

I walked along Goldsmith Street, and down Market Street through the slab square, to the Poundland Shop. Coming out with a now overloaded trolley bag and carrier bag. Having purchased a ready-made BLT sarnie, Cheeselets, nuts, and three packets of Orange chocolate Digestive biscuits. Not seen them for along time. (Yummy!)

I took a few photographs in town, before catching the L9 bus home.

Amazingly, I didn’t fall asleep on the way back to the flats! But, that was due to Arthur Itis’s giving me some stick, more than anything. Boy, the RAI is in a right-mood today!

I got off of the bus, and silently walked back to Woodthorpe Court, through Winwood Court, and only met one tenant en route. And he ignored my jolly. “How are you mate!” and gave me a curled-lip and look up-and-down in return.

Worra a funny (Not comical-funny) day today!

I got in, had a wee-wee, and the towel I washed was still wet. So I put it on the handrail in the wet room.

Glad to report that the hot water was still coming out okay, although not as hot as it used to be.

I was, as earlier, not in top condition, although the Dizzy Dennis spells had stopped.

All I could do was to make some fodder. The BLT sarnie, beetroots bullets, mushrooms and some potato biscuits for the first time. Very tasty, but a little too sweet, still I ate them all. Gannet!

I think I must have fallen asleep almost straight away! The plate was on the floor when I woke up about 22:00hrs. I got up and started to do this blog.

Inchcock Today – Monday 14th October 2019: Worra phrenetic Day!

Monday 14th October 2019

Welsh: Dydd Llun 14eg Hydref 2019

02:45hrs: I bestirred and pondered awhile. Today is undoubtedly the day that the hot water boiler will be mended? But of course, whether the electrician comes afterwards to connect things and get it working again, or not, is worrying. The phlebotomy nurse is coming this morning. I think there is something else as well, but it escapes me at the moment.

Ah, the rumbling innards summoning me to the Porcelain Throne! I was soon out of the Xyrophobia-suffering, flat-robbing, Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he soon found and stole, (I still haven’t got them back yet five-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety recliner.

Ah, a change in evacuation mode! Not so sloppy, still messy, and requiring more input and effort to export, this morning. Is Diahorrea Donald on the wane? Haha!

Washed in the sink bowl, where it is easier to get the hot water from the kettle and saucepans from the stove-top. Refilled the pot and got all the pans on a low heat ready for the ablutions later. Then I got the gear needed for a shave from the wet room and removed my stubble. No cuts today!

I made a brew and took the morning medications. Got the Anoxaparin needle out, just in case the devastatingly attractive beautiful, cuddly, pretty, sex-oozing, Polish-born phlebotomy Nurse needs it to use later on me. And she could use anything her heart desires on me! I’m putty in her hands! If only I have fifty-five years younger… Hehehe!

Onto the computer. I began updating the Sunday blog, first.

I’m afraid the finger-tips sensitivity is not so good again, and the job took far too long for my liking. I suppose I’ll have to think about giving up on trying to create graphics soon. It really is taking so long to do them. Nothing else is getting done! A sad thought, though!

Visited the WordPress Reader section.

Time to get the ablutions done, before the aesthetically appealing, beauteous, drop-dead gorgeous, kind, understanding, witty, and paradisaical Nurse arrives, to take my blood.

Of course, this morning’s Nottingham City Homes promised 08:00hr start by the Nottingham City Homes maintenance chap on the boiler repairing is in some doubt. Especially as it is now 08:25hrs!

Outcome odds assessment, please:

  1. They will not turn-up nor communicate with me. (As they didn’t on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday last week. Odds forecast: Evens
  2. They will arrive too late to get the job done, and make yet another appointment that will not be kept either! Odds forecast: 8-1
  3. They will come and not have the spare part needed – and make yet another appointment that will not be held either! Odds forecast: 3-1
  4. They will arrive to do the boiler, then the electrician will not get here to get it started working. Odds forecast: 5-4
  5. They will arrive late, and work through until 22:00hrs, then leave the job half done -and make yet another appointment that will not be kept. Odds forecast: 7-1
  6. Nottingham City Homes management bouncers will arrive and throw me out for telling the truth. Odds forecast: 5-1
  7. The plumber will not come to do the boiler, but the electrician will turn up at 22:00hrs to turn it on. Odds forecast: 7-1
  8. They will not turn-up, and when Deana phones them, they will inform her that the spare-part needed will need ordering and make an appointment to come and do the job when the ETA arrives for the equipment, on approx. Friday, 21st December. Odds forecast: 10-1
  9. An Alien will reach earth, to buy my story, to sell it at home on Jupiter! Hahaha! Odds forecast: 200-1

Bearing in mind that the job will involve emptying the boiler (Approx: 2 hours). Then moving and fitting the spare part (Approx: 1 hour). Then refilling the pot (Approx: 2 hours). Then inform the Nottingham City Homes maintenance team that an electrician is needed to come and reset and start the electrics again, and leaving the mess made, either going home or his next job. When the electrician arrives, will be anyone’s guess, which day, which week! Hopefully, the boiler job will start in time to allow it to get finished. If so, having done in time enough for the sparkie to do his job for me. But, hopes are minimal!

It would be lovely to have hot water on tap again. Maybe, perhaps, it is the realms of possibility, at least hypothetically, conceivably, perchance, mayhap, peradventure, that my boiler will get repaired today, and even electrified and working again?

I had a look down to see if I could identify any Nottingham City Homes maintenance vans out down there on Chestnut Walk. Buy, no! Hey-Ho! Oy Vey!

09:07hrs: I’ll have to call Deana in a bit. Don’t like bothering her really. To find out what the plans are for today, will they be arriving or not.

The rain had stopped, and I went to make a brew of tea, not that I can taste much lately. Habit, I suppose. Lovely distant view.

09:30hrs: The doorbell chimed out. I nearly got in a hopefull fame of mind – had the Nottingham City Homes plumber arrived, nine days after I lost the hot water, to mend the boiler? No, it was the wonderfully stimulating phlebotomy nurse. Lovely! She was in a rush today. Took the blood, had little laugh and gossip and off she had to go.

I rang Deana to ask her to investigate if the Maintenance lads were coming today or not. I was going to explain the farce of Friday. Her mobile went to answerphone, and I gave up. I must try again later, or maybe the plumber will arrive before I do.

The fingers didn’t seem so bad or fickle now, so I went on Facebook to catch-up on the TFZer site.

Tried ringing Deana again, unavailable leave message. So, I’ll try to get to the Wardens holding cells to tell them what is happening. Or rather, not happening, with the hot water.

As I was getting ready to go out, Sister Jane rang. I was reprimanded, (I’d forgot to charge my mobile) And I ought to act like a normal person, and help people to help me! Like staying awake from 08:00 > 22:00hrs for five days, just in case they came to help me, and I didn’t miss them? I thought I was helping them? Even if they didn’t arrive. Ah well! It must be my fault! Hehe!

Pete is going in for his check-up on Thursday. I rang back to see if he’d like me to go with him. Hopefully, the hot water farce will be finished by then. I called, but he felt it best if he went just with Jane. I understood perfectly, wished him all the best. Fingers crossed.

I made note and to leave stuck to the door, in case anyone from maintenance called while I was out trying to see an I.L.C. (Independent Living Coordinator, I think) Or someone about getting some details of what is taking place with the hot water status, regarding any repairs that may or may not be taking place, and when. I live in hope, as an ordinary person would.

I departed, sticking, well, cello-taping the note on the flat door as I left.

Down in the lift, and along the link passage into Winwood court. Noticing a Nottingham City Homes van, with the driving talking to another worker, who was on his i-pad thingy.

I tried to see if I could recognise his face, in the hopes that it might be the plumber, but I didn’t think it was. At least partial though it wasn’t him.

I hobbled down the passage with the three-wheeled walker, and was going well, and got up a decent pace going. Arthur Itis was much easier on the knees today.

Not a soul in sight en route; it reminded me a bit of the Mary Celeste. Haha! As I got to the Warden’s Holding Cell and office, this red-lettered notice was on show. Ah, I thought, Deana must be on holiday or poorly!

That’s why I could not get through to Deana on the phone. Or, she might have been moved to another sight-complex as holiday cover for another ILC? I knocked on the door, and there was only the new ILC girl in there. Julie and Deana’s tables looked bare and worryingly unused. I explained the difficulties I was having with no hot water for nine days now. She said she’d call them and ring me back with any details she can find out for me.

I thanked her and returned to the flat again. If by any chance, they say they may be coming on Tuesday, I’ll have to cancel the After-Stroke Physio session for the day. N point in them coming today now, there will not be enough time to get the job done before they’re going home, finish time! Not that I will ever find out, cause the ILC didn’t ring me back!

On the way back along the corridor, the Nottingham City Homes maintenance chappies were still talking on Chestnut Walk.

Where they plumbers? I don’t thin plumbers would be driving such types of van. But then again, what would I know about anything? Not a lot, is the answer! Huh!

I made my way to Woodthorpe Court and up in the elevator back home to the flat. I thought I might try to find an email for the repairs team, so I could ask directly about what was going on with hot water repair. I did find this photo on their website, which made me think a bit.

Well, gone 13:00hrs now. So no point in them coming anyway. I’ll just have to carry on boiling water in the kettle and saucepans, I suppose. No Deana or Julie to ask for help. The new gal has not got back to me. I should be feeling all sorry for myself and pissed off, really. But I don’t.

I think I’ll make an up to date, including today, diary of events and put it on here. Then I can refer to it if needed.

Hot Water Heater Repair and lies Record

Saturday 5th October 2019:

Hot water not hot. I thought it might have tripped-out, but the water was slightly tepid. I decided to wait until Monday and ask Deana if she would inform Nottingham City Homes repairs for me.

Sunday 6th October 2019:

I tried using the shower for hot water, but, found it not hot enough for shaving with.

Monday 7th October 2019:

Asked Deana to call repairs for me. They told her they would be out this afternoon.

I stayed up until 22:00 hours, but no show. (3 hours sleep)

Tuesday 8th October 2019:

Asked Dean to call repairs for me. She called back, saying they would be out later.

I stayed up again until 22:00hrs, but no show. (4 hours sleep)

Wednesday 9th October 2019:

Asked Deana to call repairs for me. They told her they would be out sometime today.

I stayed up until 22:00 hours, but no show. (3 hours sleep)

Thursday 10th October 2019:

Asked Dean to call repairs for me. She called back, saying they would be out later.

Also, to pass on, that I can use the shower, so no emergency! No repairmen came out. Stayed awake until 22:00hrs. Three-hours sleep.

Friday 11th October 2019:

Asked Deana to call repairs for me. They told her they would be out sometime today.

After-Stroke Physio rang maintenance, and an electrician came out. Said a plumber was on his way after the boiler had been done, he will come out and reconnect it to full power, but it on boost and I’d have hot water almost straight away!

Then a plumber came around 1715hrs, saw the job, and said he wouldn’t have the time to do it, as his shift finishes in half-an-hour. But they assured us that they would be out Monday morning first thing, at 08:00hrs. (two hours sleep)

I scolded my leg and fingers while struggling to transport the boiling water from stove to basin for shaving purposes.

 Saturday 12th October 2019:

Using the shower to fill the sink, got the peripheral neuralgia shakes, and had a fall.

Sunday 13th October 2019:

Dropped a saucepan with the shakes, then burnt finger on the kettle while transporting hot water to the bowl for washing up.

Monday 14th October 2019:

No arrival, so at 09:30ish hours, I put a note on the door and went to get help from ICL. Only one on duty, not three as usual. New gal. She said she’d ring repairs and get back to me with results. She didn’t get back to me. Did handwashing of clothes, and I stayed in for the rest of the day, in case someone came out to look at the problem for me?

15:40hrs: Just started eating the meal, and two NCH’s plumbers arrived. And set-to getting the boiler emptied. Cat-Walk Model & NCH Patch Manager Angela Gould called, to see what was going on, she needed an update. She had contacted someone at Repairs, thus the sudden activity.

Bless her cotton Socks for caring!: Wet room, where the water from the tank was being drained, overflowing. The plumber said he’d put the hose through the bedroom window to get it out quicker.

Dinner threw way again. I fell asleep. Landline call from the Haemostasis, TV (Thread Vein) and DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Clinic at the Nottingham City Hospital, about the low INR level, concerned. New dosages, and another blood test on Thursday to be arranged.

Pole Dancer & NCH Patch Manager Angela Gould rang back for an update. The lads were refilling the tank. I fell asleep again and was woken by the plumber, but I was not entirely Compos Mentis. The chaps had finished the job, and I would have hot water within an hour or so. I thanked them.

But, I was too tired to do any cleaning up.

Shame about the nosh, it was a decentish looking one too!

18:15hrs: The repairmen, job done retired. I thanked them but was too tired to do any cleaning up.

Dinner threw way again. I fell asleep.

Landline call from the Haemostasis, TV (Thread Vein) and DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Clinic at the Nottingham City Hospital, about the low INR level, concerned. New dosages, and another blood test for Thursday to be arranged.

I must try to find the time to get to the Sherwood Health Centre and make an appointment for the feet to be done! Tsk!

I tried to get the shelve in the airing cupboard levelled off. Resulting in a couple of blood blisters, and a banged wrist, which left me with a yellow and a red coloured hand? Hehe!

I flopped down in the recliner. Shattered! I thought about the hot water heater getting done at last… but the satisfaction was limited, but the time, tremendous hassle, effort, and feeling ignored, in getting it done.

It may well be that some mistakes aplenty have been made in producing this blog. With feeling so tired out, and the After-Stroke Physio session on Tuesday going all wrong, painful and clamorous, I didn’t get this blog caught up with and finished until nearly midnight on Tuesday, and things may have come out a little mixed up; like I was! (But I hope not).

TTFNski.

Inchcock Today – Sunday 13th October 2019: I was really in the doldrums, then Michael visited me – I perked up exponentially!

Sunday 13th October 2019

Welsh: Dydd Sul 13eg Hydref 2019

01:35hrs: I woke up to hear the distracting sound of the humming, droning noise that seemed to be coming from outside, and it irked me! As soon as I moved, Back-Pain Brenda let me know she was there. (Oh, she is painful this morning!)

Within minutes, the Porcelain Throne demanded to be rushed to! I needed to avoid the double-embarrassments of last night with my not getting there in time, at all costs. The shame, mortification, and sheer humiliation, and it happened twice, made me red-faced at the thought of it occurring again! With all the haste I could summon, I was out of the second-hand, £300, c1968, rickety recliner, had a Dizzy Dennis spell, lost my balance in the hurry, clouted my knee against the Ottoman, swore unvarnishedly, but silently ( I hope!), and continued on, determined not to get caught out again, to the wet room.

Talk about just in time! The instant I got my rear-end over Porcelain Throne, the runny almost wet evacuation started and was all over in seconds, but the tummy was still rumbling. So I thought it prudent to grab the crossword book and pen and spend a little time sat there crosswording a while, just in case. However, the pungentness of the lingering after-odour forced me into a change of mind about sitting there. Hehe! Diahorrea Donald had undoubtedly taken over! I reckon it must be the after-effects of the Soul Food Vegetarian Chilli? I really must try to resist repurchasing it, no matter how great it tastes! But will I be able to?

Once again, thanks to Nottingham City Homes repair department’s failure and lies, I had the dangerous job of getting hot water from the kitchen stove to the wet room, to clean the bowl and antisepticise myself. I’m not looking forward to shaving and shower later, well, the shave anyway, it’s not an easy task fetching hot water when at any time the hand, fingers and arm may burst into uncontrollable shaking and jerking about. The leg, come think of it, hasn’t done any of its involuntary uncontrollable Neuropathic Schuhplattler dances lately. I do hope it doesn’t today, well anytime in the future again, really. But as Dr Raghamunia, no that’s not his name. I’ll look it up on his last sit-rep letter… got it, Senthil Kumar Rontala Raghunathan, said, there nothing we can do about this problem, and it will only get worse. But not necessarily *quickly. *(Quickly isn’t the word he used, I can’t recall precisely what it was, but it meant that I’m sure.

I eventually made myself a drink of tea. The taste-buds are not working this morning, the tea tasted ‘off’ to me. So I made another after recleaning the mug. Just the same, bitter, dry tasting?

Took the morning medications, finding out when I grabbed the pill-pod-tray, that I had not taken last night’s doses! Oy Vey! What a farmisht alter cocker, I am! Unsure what to take, I gambled on just one Warfarin and one Atorvastatin from last nights doses. I also took an extra painkiller, as Backpain Brenda was still playing me up something wicked!

I got the updating done for Saturday’s blog and posted it off. Then went on the WordPress reader, and sent photos to Pinterest. Then had an updating session on the TFZer Facebook sight, no, site! Tsk!

Next came another demand from the innards for a Porcelain Visit. Getting out of hand this is! Diahorrea Duncan was in control! Same as last time, but not so urgent. Messy and needed hot water boiling and fetching from the kitchen stove to clean the porcelain properly. I was now in deep discomfort. Joining Backpain Brenda, was Duodenal Donald and Anne Gyna. Arthur Itis continued to increase slowly in venomosity in both knees.

Not easy gerrin’ old, especially with Nottingham City homes maintena… Never mind!

I made a template for this blog, and it may be hard for you to believe, but I needed the Porcelain throne again! The same rigmarole. My aches and pains are even worse now. I’m going down in the contentment stakes at a high rate of knots! At least the wee-wees are not so frequent. (I knew if I tried, I’d find something to try and cheer myself up!) Humph!

I eventually, many hours after getting up, it’s now 09:00hrs, and I tried again to make a brew. But, sadly it tasted the same as the earlier mug of tea, terrible!

I’ve got Josie’s dinner to get ready yet. So, I’ll tackle the shave and showering first, then the fight with the Sock-Glide, finally treat the cuts, knocks and scalded areas (There are bound to be a few, thanks to Nottingham City Homes Maintenance sh… Oh. never mind!) I don’t believe it! The bloody Reflux Valve has kicked-off now, as I stood up! Gasping for breath, coughing! Shit, I’m fed-up again!

One hell of an in-agony old-chap of a whinger today! Harrumph!

Back in a bit, possibly with bandages on. Hehehe!

I noticed as I stripped off the dressing gown, that once again, like most mornings, the pins (legs) looked like different ones than they did the day before. The knobblyness, lumps, blotches, and even the spider veins and blood papsules from the clopidogrel, all seemed calmer, less vivid and even fewer of them?

Another slightly messy evacuation had to be performed. Repeatedly fetching the hot water from the saucepans in the kitchen, and returning them to heat more water, caused only a few spillages, but no injuries. However, the dropsies were numerous. I can’t even remember the number of times I dopped either the soap or flannel in the showering! The toilet roll, toothbrush, razor (4), shaving foam can and deodorant spray also went on walkabouts from the electrified looking hands. The battle with the sock-glide was postpones, no need to put any socks on, with my not going anywhere (Sunday again!).

Got dressed and made a brew, but it tasted off, somehow. Maybe the milk was off? Took a snap of outside.

I got on the computer and had a marathon session on blogging. But, it was slow going with the peripheral neuralgia fingers, etc., ensuring there was much correcting and amending having to be done! Grumph!

I was getting frustrated, so I gave it a rest for a while.

Got the medications I’d left on the mobile-server stored away correctly.

I got a bit of sweeping and mopping up done in the kitchen, done. Painful!

Tried getting back doing the graphicalisationing of CorelDraw, but gave up, it was too tricky with the fingers how they are.

I made up three black bags of general waste and filled the box the medications came in with recyclable material and off to waste chute in the lift lobby. With the empty jars for the green bin in the three-wheeler trolley-walker. The black bags tied around the trolley. And the carton for recycling balanced on the top of the 3-wheeler. Not easy, and I lost the box off of the handlebars a few times en route, Hehe!

Seeing the rain, meant I didn’t feel so bad about being stuck indoors. But then, my being so for five days waiting for the non-arrival of the promised-daily Nottingham City Homes maintenance help, plus the today with no buses, didn’t bother me at all.

I got sorting Josie’s meal. And delivered it on the dot at her door. The gal seemed in good spirits today and welcomed the nosh.

I tried doing some graphics again but gave up. It was just too difficult with the fingers playing up. Now I’ll be all behind still with the graphics for the blogs, Grumph!

I got my nosh made earlier than usual, as I felt the weariness and fatigue coming on early.

Got it served up, and what a disappointment it turned out to be! I did try to eat it, but the only thing on the plate that tasted right were the peas and the cheesy potatoes! The yellow Isle-of-Man tomatoes were unjuicy and so bland! The turkey meat, slimy! The beetroot rock-hard! Even the Asda bacon flavoured French fries, tasted like cardboard! I was trying to eat it, and at the same time, wondering why it was so tasteless? Eventually, I fell asleep with the only partly eaten meal balanced on my rotund wobbly-belly on the tray.

The landline phone rang and flashed at me, waking me up, and that is rare to actually hear it when I’m asleep. By the time I’d safely got the cold, sad, pathetic meal on the tray removed, the landline stopped!

I was nodding off again when the intercom rang. I fumbled hurriedly to the panel. All I could see on the screen was a close up of a coat, whoever it was, was let in by someone. For a moment in my part-slumber state, the heart rang with joy… Could this be Nottingham City Homes coming to do the hot water tank? Silly me! I realised it was a Sunday, so no chance. I dragged my wretched body from the recliner and off to the door!

I was greatly cheered-up and revitalised when it turned out to be Michael, my old mate. We had one hell of a grand chinwag, he’s a busy bloke our Michael. He’s not been well himself lately. He’s still off on holiday soon to the Mediterranean, he doesn’t mess about, bless him. He spoke of his family gadabouts etc. and so much more. I could listen to him forever, what a character he is, a real pal! It was a smidge sad too, to him go, hope he was a great break in Spain, I think it was. I walked with him to the lift and sadly said my farewells.

Back in the flat, I happily threw away the uneaten meal. (Which Michaels visitation saved me from eating, cheers mate!) It was such a good feeling, getting rid of that fodder. But I’d still like to know whether or not, and if so, why my taste buds are dying? Haha! As for a Taste-Rating, well, perhaps 2/10. It was horrid!

Feeling perked a little with Michael’s visit, I decided to get the handwashing done. Only a towel and one shirt. I took extra care not to drop any boiling water, the kettle or any saucepans that I had to handle. And the session was accident-free! Smug-Mode-Adopted!

I settled the uncommonly-tatty, Steptoe & Son-like recliner. Put on the TV and… Zzz!

Inchcock Today – Saturday 12th October 2019: Horrendous, unsettling day. Got the runs now! What next?

Saturday 12th October 2019

Malagasy: Alahady 12 Oktobra 2019

03:30hrs: I woke up, feeling fed-up and wee’d-off, with feeling fed-up and wee’d-off! Even if the failed turn-ups from Nottingham City Homes every single day this week, and also if they do arrive on Monday next (Eight days after the hot water supply failed on me) as promised again; I’ll have a minimum five-hour plumbing job, Draining of the tank, new parts fitted, Removal, moving of storage tank with all the resulting mess and cleaning up to do afterwards, refitting of the storage tank, refilling of the storage tank, then wait for the electrician to arrival and reset and get the water-heater going – Mind you, let’s look back at the promised arrivals and the actual arrivals this past week:

  1. Monday: Promised arrival 1 – Actual arrivals 0
  2. Tuesday: Promised arrival 1 – Actual arrivals 0
  3. Wednesday: Promised arrival 2 – Actual arrivals 0
  4. Thursday: Promised arrival 1 – Actual arrivals 0
  5. Friday: Promised arrival 3 – Actual arrivals 2 – But the job had been mistimed and could not be actuated. Thus, more promises for getting the job next Monday!

My confidence has been shattered, as has my will-power, faith, trust and hopes.

I had and still do, to use the shower have to fill the wet room sink to wash and shave, the results: Slipped on the wet floor rag – injured elbow, hurt back. Scalded when taking a pan of hot water from the kitchen and got the Peripheral Neuralgia shakes, causing me to drop the container! This has happened twice. Burnt the back of my hand when collecting pans from the stove, same reason, the shakes.

The worst one perhaps was dropping a saucepan in the kitchen, and the ensuing pain form Back-Pain Brenda when I bent down to retrieve the pan and lid, then the added discomfort from Rheumatoid Arthur Itis’s knees! But, there is plenty of time for more injuries before the promised (possibly) arrival on Monday of the plumber then, an electrician. But they have still got plenty of reasons not to come yet again in their filing cabinet, I’m sure. As Warden Deana quoted the maintenance team member she had been talking to last Monday, ‘Well it’s not an emergency, he can use the shower to get hot water!’ So, it’s my fault, it seems? I do apologies!

Luckily, all this failure to communicate, incompetency in arrangements, mental torment, and injuries I’ve suffered all week waiting for help, don’t bother me in the slightest. Lie Mode Engaged!

Oh dear, I’m mind-blasting again, sorry.

After stewing in self-pity for a while, I reticently disentwined my abdominous, well-upholstered, wobbly chassis from the Xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet five-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner.

Off to the GPEB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency Bucket), for a wee-wee. But where was it? Nowhere to be seen? Had I been nocturnally wandering again? I searched without any luck, for so long, that I needed the Porcelain Throne, off to the wet room. Hoping the bucket might be in there as well, but no! I’d held back the wee-wee for so long, I had to whip down the pants and relieve myself straight away – and what a surprise I got! It turned out to be a wee-wee of the CMOUSTSTBOWV (Catching-Me-Out-Unwilling-Slow-To-Start-Then-Blasting-Out-With-Venom) style! There were few areas of the room that had not been caught in the splashback-spray! I had to clean myself and the surfaces with antiseptic disinfectant, wipe the walls and mop the floor! I kid you not!

After what seemed like an eternity, I got around to depositing my bum on the throne, ready for releasal activities. Boy, there was a lot of it this time, too! A little messy.

Which was surprising really, cause I ate only a small meal last night, of Dagwood sarnies and a few chips. It was possibly the Soul Food Chilli from Thursday that was working its way through? And, I’ve still got a pot of it left to eat yet, Hehe!

To the kitchen, using the new multi-pronged walking stick! Made a brew, and got the medications taken. Realising, due to the tablets still being in last nights blister pack, that I had not taken last nights doses! What a plonker!

So, I took just one Warfarin, hoping this would be the best thing to do, to avoid over-dosing and getting the blood too thin. Especially with the chances of blisters from scolding with having to take the boiling water to the wet room for shaving later!

I returned to the front room, and the computer was booted, and, I realised I had come back from the kitchen with one of the wooden sticks. Needing to get some practice with this stick’s multi-legs, I returned to collect it and swap it with the wooden one, si there is one in each room at all times. But I found myself walking passed the new stick several times before the brain ‘stopped looking for a wooden stick’. Hmm, clot! It was standing up on its own near the stack of storage boxes, which are also grey. But, I am probably looking to assuage my stupidy here! Haha!

Back to Junk Room 2 and went on the WordPress reader section. Answered some comments. Then started this blog off.

The finger-ends sensitivity was terrible this morning. Typing anything was taking me an age! Correcting spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, an clearing the odd row of unfelt to the fingers-tips single letters, where I’s and E’s were the worst offenders, as is to be expected, they are both typed using the Peripheral neuralgia affected right-hand digits to type. Being a person of the volgivagant kind, I think actually helps me to accept these ailments or issues, more readily. Certainly more readily than I can accept being pissed about and lied to for over a week, over the hot water repair job! (Steady Inchcock, don’t get yourself going again, or you might have another stroke!)

I went to make another brew of tea, using the multi-prong-footed walking stick. When I say using the multi-prong-footed walking stick, I don’t mean to make the char with, I mean walking to the kitchen with. Hahaha!

The white moon was out, and I took a photographicalisation of it. Not a good one, but still, I did my bestest with the sensitiveness absent in the fingers and all that.

I was summoned by the innards to go back to the Porcelain Throne, so I did! The evacuation was swift, but again, messy! A look at the pins (legs) made me take a picture of them. Oh, so different to yesterday’s photo of the same legs; they seem to change several times a day! The Tate gallery should show these photographs. I’m not sure in which section they should be in, though! Haha!

I went to make another brew to replace the one that had gone cold. And there were a lot of Crows, breakfast hunting and baby-birds training, out there suddenly. By the time I’d power-hobbled to fetch the camera and got back with it, the birds were few and far between. This sad effort on the right is the best I could manage. Substandard, unsatisfactory, shoddy, schlocky and egregious, second-grade photographicalisationing, I know. And this is one of my better bird in flight efforts! Tsk!

I went on the TFZer site on Facebook, with a lot of catching up to do. Which took me two hours!

Sudden crave for food? (And sleep, rest, peace, and mental quietude) I did not feel well at all, but this didn’t seem to curb my desire for food, and so early in the day, too!

I got the Soul Food Chilli in the saucepan and added, sliced tomato, black bean sauce, and a pinch of salt to the mix.

I turned off the computer and returned to stay in the kitchen for the heating up and constant stirring of the nosh. Then I took this photo of the sky outside. Realising in the morning when I got the picture on the computer, I had somehow changed the camera setting for the picture size or shape. I do remember the shaking jumping hand when I took the snap, but have no idea how or what I did to change things.

I’ll leave them as they are, I think. I’m certainly not up to trying to sort it out now.

Got the nosh served up. Good as it tasted, I found I was battling to stay awake while eating it. Flavour-rating: 8/10. I think that I must have got the seasoning different to last time. Humph!

I left the bowl and spoon in the bowl in the sink, after having so annoyingly had to boil water in the kettle and large saucepan, to cover them, to let the things soak.

Into the Xyrophobia-suffering crook and Brother-in-Law Pete, damaged, second-hand, c1968 recliner, and I soon fell asleep, as the innards began to rumble!

But not sleep for long! I woke in need of a Porcelain throne visit. I hobbled to the wet room as fast as I could – but embarrassingly did not make it on time – such was the grip that Diarrohea Donald (Chilli?) suddenly had over me! Thank heavens for two things; the evacuation was not overly messy and for the PP’s!

Exhausted from the hubble-bubble of getting to the Throne on time, and the cleaning up after the session, I then had to boil some water to wash and antisepticise things! Worryingly, the stomach continued to grumble?

Head down again, but sleep was resistant this time. I put theTV on, and that worked a treat, Zzzz!

Until the landline phone light and ring sounded and woke me up again! Twas the chemist, telling me they would deliver the prescriptions in about an hour! Another waking-up – I nearly cried, I wanted to!

So, I thanked him and rose to get the kettle and all the pans on the stove, to boil water for a wash and shave, before the pharmacist arrived with the medications.

True to their word, the friendly pleasant waking-me-up chemist people arrived, just as I was finishing the wash, and treating the scold mark on my tummy from the splashed hot water, from the saucepan-to-sink transference! (Thank you, Nottingham City Homes Maintenance Managers).

I got the medications inside and checked them.

I noted that they had sent two months supply this time. There must be a Bank Holiday coming up soon then.

I checked in the morning, but could not see any Bank Holidays, until December?

I was still so weary, I just left the medications on the trolley, they can be put away later when I’m feeling better. Which if left to Nottingham City Homes Maintenance, means when (if) they do get the hot water flowing again, they can always leave a note with the Funeral Parlour, to go in the coffin to let me know! (Tired, In-pain Pissed-off Sarcasm Mode Adopted). Hahaha! Mind you, there is a radical alternative to burial and cremation, it’s called Alkaline Hydroysis,  (Sound like lone of my ailments, Hehehe!) that I fancy having. A “gentle, eco-friendly alternative to flame-based cremation” using an alkaline solution made with potassium hydroxide to reduce the body to a skeleton. (Providing Nottingham City Homes Maintenance don’t kill me first [Good bit of sarcasm slipped in there!], not that it will. But, after over a week of nothing happening in response to my hot-water problem, apart from failed promises, and not a word from the NCH men in charge, I think it is fair for me to feel aggravated! And I am! Waiting in for non-arriving appointments, mega sleep-deprivation, accidents caused through transporting hot water by kettle and saucepans… still, are they bothered? Even after calls from my After-Stroke Support worker! A well-scripted letter to a newspaper about this might be a good idea? With me having so many ailments that the NCH are not interested in, Anne Gyna, Dizzy Dennis attacks, falling-over, tripping up, Duodenal Donald ulcer, Bladder cancer, the plastic heart valve fitted, RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur itis), Harold Haemorrhoid’s and the fungal lesion bleeding merrily away. Peripheral Neuralgia, that has caused me mobility problems, and left me with the right side of my body, leg, fingers, hands, arm, and even the shoulder, doing their occasional unintentional Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance routines. Then having the stroke, to name but a few. It beggars belief that any septuagenarian tenant in poor health, can be lied to for five days on the trot, being told someone will come out, and they did not! It is now eight-days since the hot water failed in my apartment in this high-rise, so-called £11m Retirement Village. Another assurance that the problem will be tackled next Monday has still to be proven or disproven! And I am so dejected and depressed by the failure to respond and help me. They do not even communicate directly but leave it to the Warden and men who did finally arrived on Friday, but too late in the day to carry out the repairs, for me to glean any details from. My abilities have lessened so much since the Stroke, and nobody seems to understand this.

A pity the News of the World isn’t still going, they might have taken up my cause. Hehehe! Who else can I take my complaint to? How do I go about it? Should I bother? Does anyone care? Probably not! No doubt the maintenance team must be under pressure, I understand this, and I am sympathetic about it. But the total lack of communication is really irking! If they cannot come for any of the daily arranged appointment (6 of them!), I wis they had a way of letting me now, then I would not have to make myself poorlier, by not getting any sleep while waiting to find out if they are coming or not, for six days on the trot, sleep deprivation was suffered, and this has caused my various ailments to give me a hard time healthwise. Nuff said! (Probably too much, enough to upset them. I’m worried now that moaning might make things worse for me. I could even be classed as a trouble-maker, and lose the flat?

The above passage above came from frustration and the heart. I just hope that someone in charge reads and absorbs it. It certainly isn’t nit-picking, but of genuine concern, well, to me at least!

I had a rather sad wee-wee of the WYSAO (Weak-Yet-Spraying-All-Over) style and almost tripped myself up with the new walking stick. Easily done for me. It stands upon the four little legs on its own, and I’d forgotten it was there as I reached for the regular wooden stick, walking into the new one as I did. It’s going to take some getting used to this metal stick is.

Back and got my head down again. Sleep was hard to encourage, so I put the TV on again… then, I needed yet another Porcelain Throne Session! Another panic-flap-rush to the Throne. Again resulting in a very embarrassing, uncomfortable and cringe-worthy early escapage! The evacuation was over quickly, but not the cleaning up!

Thanks to the non-response of Nottingham City Home maintenance, this meant again, my boiling water on the stove and kettle, to clean up with. A burn on the side of the hand on the saucepan, was the only injury this time. But the Peripheral Neuralgia shakes, meant as expected it would, in spillages of hot water in the transporting of the saucepans form the kitchen, and even dropping an empty pan on the way back to fill it up again. Which caused more pain from Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna as I had to clear it up, once more, my disgust at the way I had been treated by Nottingham City Homes, came to the fore!

It’s a bloody good job my mate helped out with the PP supply! I’m going through them like they were biscuits! Hehehe!

Back yet again to the £300, second-hand recliner, in search of sleep. Phwert! It took ages coming!

Yours, Lucky Inchcock. (Fib-detected!)
