Inchcock Today Sun 10 July 16: Seemed to be going alright – then, Anne Gyna ruined the day. Tsk!

Sonntag 10 Juli 2016

0415hrs, Woke full of memories of some of the dreams I’d had. All seemed to involve my working in shops, all had elements of truth and actual events from my past, but distorted?

The £300 second-hand recliner allowed me out of it, and I got to the porcelain for a Wee-wee of great magnitude. Unfortunately, Little Inchy was bleeding again. Clean him up and applied the Cortizone cream. However, the other ailment were nice and calm this morning, Anne Gyna no bother at all, Arthur Itis not bad at all, Haem Aroid not bleeding, Hand wrist and arms, even the shoulder was okay… I was worried about this believe it or not. Hehe! The stomach was grumbling a little bit, but not badly.

P1110305

Through the Kitchen window, 0705hrs

Made a cuppa and took the medications.

The view from the kitchen window revealed a nice sky. Mind you, I thought it was a bit cold today.

P1110306

I’d got skinny legs again?

I realised then why it was a bit cold, and why my legs were so much easier at this time. I had not got any jammies on, and, the usual swelling of the legs had diminished, in fact, I could say that they were almost skinny!

Do you like the pattern on the undies I’m wearing? These were the one where I made a Whoopsiedangleplop when purchasing them. I thought I had bought ‘Loose fitting size XL’ – in fact, they were  ‘Loose fitting size XXXL’ I didn’t even know you could buy these in this size? When I pull them up the elastic waistband is just under my nipples! Hehehe!

Skipped into the living room (Well, I say skipped, more a sort of limped but not as bad as usually), and got the laptop on. Set up today’s page and finished the Saturday one and got it posted.

To the wet-room and did the ablutions, very nice shower again, used the lavender soap today.

P1110296

Looking good this morning…

Went out of the door with me shopping bag to go to the new shop in Sherwood… went back in to collect me hearing aids. Out again, then back in again to pick up the camera. A bit windy outside this morning, but only around the flats. Wobbled up the footpath

Wobbled up the steep gravel footpath to the park, halfway up I turned and took a photographicalisation of the flats, note please the bright sky, for later it changed suddenly.

Limped down the footpath and down onto Mansfield Road, the tootsies were aching already?

Over the hill and into Sherwood, and the new Budgen Store. Very poor selection and even more expensive than the Co-op was! I got a packet of roast spuds that was on offer.

10e

Core-blimey did it go dark suddenly!

As I came out of the store it suddenly came over all dark, and I was convinced it was going to belt down with rain.

But minutes later the sun was out again?

Walked back up and over the hill and right into Woodthorpe Grange Park on my way back to the apartments.Folks were

Folks were talking about the sudden but very short twilight period earlier. One bloke, I heard joking about he thought the aliens had arrived. Hehe!

10d

Back to daylight now!

By the time I’d taken a look at the dogs with their wagging tails and got to the top of the park the sunshine had seemed to have settled on again.

Very odd.

I shuffled down and back to the flats, calling in to see Olive on my way. He Grandson was there. Had a few word and a joke with her, she had not noticed it when it came over dark? Said I’d call back later and returned to number 72, wee-wee’d, made a cuppa and got the laptop back on and updated this tosh.

Did some Facebooking, took the midday medications and had another cup of strong tea. Blooming Facebook playing up again… Tsk! So annoying innit?

1515hrs: Well, off to see how Olive is. See you later folks.

Back again 1620hrs: I’d called to see her but got no answer, returned to the flat, then went back again and she was in fine fetal. She’s fell asleep earlier, but now awake and in good form too! A good gossip later, and I returned to 72 in good spirits.

Watched the Euro Final. Not that I wanted either team to win at the start, but after the referee let some of the French players get way with some fouls, and Renaldo being injured and off, my sympathies laid with Portugal. I was still surprised when they did win.

Anne Gyna started kicking off after the match, and an unpleasant night ensued.

Inchcock Today Fri 8th July 2016: Big arson fire in Nottingham, forgot to collect the prescriptions, little walk about and Olive did me a massage… Wonderful!

Friday 8th July 2016 – Vendredi 8 Juillet 2016

10d0600hrs: Jumped awake and in a right state physically and mentally. No idea when I’d nodded off last night, but for once I’d turned off the TV. Around me as clung precariously off the £300 second-hand recliner that refused to budge to let me out, but I got there. Hehe!

No eating or drinking today, before the CDH tests.

Update the diary.

Did the ablutions and took the medications with tap water. Getting ready and all set when I spotted a fire about two miles away down in the Basford area.

P1110293 10d

Found out later, that apparently, 16 and 17-year-old yobboes have been arrested for arson and endangering lives. I wonder if they will get a fine to be paid out of their dole money at 50p a week?

The rain was falling, so I put the bag in another bag and placed them in another bag. Made sure I’d got the nurses nibbles and umbrella with me.

10eAs I departed, the rain stopped.

Soon arrived at the surgery for the 0830hrs appointment, another bloke as there waiting for his CDH checks as well, as it was not yet 0830hrs, we had to wait outside for ten minutes.

We were admitted, and the nurse called me in for the tests. During which, I was informed not to take so much sugar, I’m far too heavy, the pasty look on my face is probably due to me taking too much sugar in my foods, I must take urine sample with me again on Tuesday’s INR blood test arrangement and I can only expect the right arm hand and shoulder to get worse and she will make an appointment to have them looked at later. I thanked her, gave her the nibbles and departed!

Walked to the launderette and gave Mandy a laugh telling her about it, and gave her her nibbles.

Then on to the Lidl store. Got two cheesy cobs, sweet and sour sauce and some sweeties to top up the nibble store supplies.

Then did a little Whoopsiedangleplop as I tried to get on a bus back to Sherwood, and the driver threw me off for being too early. I did feel a fool! Hehe!

So I walked it back instead, being, as the feet and knees weren’t feeling too bad at all. (They were by the time I got back. Huh!)

The walk went okay until I got into Sherwood, then the plates started giving some gip. I got into Woodthorpe Grange Park, not many dog walkers around, or even Pavement Cyclists either.

P1110295The rain held off, and I took a photographicalisation of under the chestnut trees near to the pitch and putt course.

I thought it came out alright?

I might try to add a figure of yours truly and a TFZ gal to it later for a bit of fun if yer know worra mean like.

P1110297The legs and feet were well aching by the time I got down the gravel hill path and back to the flat. Wee-weeing being the most necessary activity when I got in.

The fire was still going!

I made my first cuppa of the day (No nibbling, honestly!) Then sent a copy of the fire I took to the Nottingham Post for them to use if they wanted to.

Laptop on and updated this twaddle.

Must try to get some Facebooking caught up with, and then get to see how Olive is getting on.

Realised another Whoopsiedangleplop had taken place – I forgot about collecting the prescriptions from the chemist earlier! And there I was next door at the launderette! Sad innit?

Got some Facebooking done.

Then got another demand in the post from British Gas fro the electricity bill I got on June 4th – which Deana had phoned about and after a long time talking, told me not to pay it and we got advice that the account was closed on 8th June.

P1110298Popped in to see the excellent Olive she was watching Wimbledon on her good sized TV. I bet she can read the subtitles on this one. Hehe!

She looked at the letter, then sorted my pains by rubbing in the pain gel to areas I could not reach myself, for me.

Bless her cotton socks.

I departed and went to the Community Hut seeking help. Julie P1110300was in not Deana. She called up British Gas and spent ages getting nowhere with then. They asked for the meter number, so I was sent back to the flat with a key opener to get in the box outside the apartment to find it.

I took a photo of the number on the meter. Returned to the Community Hut with it, and Julie again phoned them. This time, they told us that there were two meters in the box – which there wasn’t! Also, that one meter is on economy 10 and the other one on the standard rate?

I asked if they were lying last month or now? They had told us not to pay the bill then???

P1110109Then they rang off while Julie was waiting again listening to the music!

Julie shot off home, telling me she would ring them again on Monday – oh dear!

Back to the flat again, had some more wee-wee efforts. Updated diary once again to here, and got the fodder on the go. Roast peppers, parsnips and carrots, chicken thighs, tomatoes, beetroot, potato hashes and the cheesy cobs.

P1110301A quick bit of Facebooking while it all cooked, well, the hashes and vegetables anyway.

Not bad at all, 8.9/10.

The nodding off soon started after I’d settled to watch a James Bond DVD movie.

Eventually, after perhaps dozens of nod-offs and rewinds, I gave up and put the TV on. The same thing happened again, and I gave up again and got the book out to read… nodded off at last!

Inchcock Today Wed 6th July 16: Kitchen Whoopsiedangleplop – then Dizzies, Humph!

IBAFOL4a

Wednesday 6th July 2016

Stirred to life, of sorts, at 0600hrs. Memories of the dreams lingered a bit this time. Usual theme, me being chased on and over rooftops, up mountains, falling into a canal this time, near a lock with soap suds on top smelling like TCP? Surprisingly, I could swim in this dream, as in true life I’m scared stiff of deep water? There was a lot more detail that I lost before I could get out of the £300 second-hand stuck half up and half down not working recliner chair to write them down… Tsk!

The first of many wee-wee’s followed, WCHD job, bit of blood from the rear end but not much. I found I’d left the heater on in the wet-room from the showering yesterday… huh, that’ll please the the bank manager no end!

To the kitchen to make a cuppa and take the medications. Of deary me indeed: Whoopsiedangleplop! The stack of storage draws had collapsed, some split open and there was a hell of mess to sort out from the contents that had spilled out, bent lids, sprays, cleaners, rags, bags etc. All lying in an untidy heap spread on the floor and laying in the spilt liquids, disinfectant, soda, washing up liquid etc! It must have made a right noise when it collapsed. Took me ages to sort it all out temporarily at  least. New storage box’s needed again now – I’m not going to get the same ones as these again though! Feeling a bit low now!

Had a job to find the hearing aids though, last night I’d detached the tubing and left it in soak to free the wax in them and I thought I’d left the main bits in the usual (That Auntie Kath left me) porcelain pot, but no. Found them in the kitchen on the counter, I reckoned the falling stuff from the five collapsed John Lewis storage draws and contents, must have knocked them to the back of the counter? Then I had to search all through the contents of the collapsed boxes to find the hearing aid batteries!

The falling mass of plastic, cleaners and medical accoutrements must have made a terrible noise, not that I heard anything like, hope it didn’t bother my neighbours? Wonder when it happened?

Even more depressed now.

10eGot the laptop on to start this post off.

The fingers were giving me some hassle and sticking occasionally.

Couldn’t spend too long a time on it, as I want to get to the shops using the first L9 bus (0930hrs) so I can have time to visit Olive when I get back, before she is picked up and taken for her meal by her son and daughter.

0815hrs: Saved the work and closed the laptop, then got in the wet-room to do my ablutions… remembering just before I did, that I’d not taken me medications with all the kerfuffle with the Whoopsiedangleplop, so I did.

Soon sorted, although I did manage a couple of nicks with the razor in my rush, that took a while to stop bleeding.

I set out, taking the  rubbish bags to the chute on the way down. Not in the best of spirits. Humph!

Caught the bus to town to the terminus on Queen Street and down to the City Centre. Walked down into the slab square and caught a tram to Hucknall and the Tesco store. Off the tram and walked through the Park & Ride, over the road and  into the store.

I had a good wander around, nosing out any new products, getting stuff I didn’t mean to and forgetting the stuff that was on the shopping list I’d made, that was still back at the flat where I left it. Huh! I did get some English vine tomatoes, half red-half yellow to try, some cooked meats of various types, bread, naughty snacks, french toast, Marmite crackers, chicken thighs, a jar of sweet & sour sauce, a turnip, tomato puree, cooked pork chunks, honey roast lamb slices and a packet of Fresh Cream Horns jumped into the trolley… I also got a packet of jam doughnuts for the Winwood Tenants Social Hour tomorrow.

Paid the lady on the check-out, and then the fun started… I’d rather overdone the shopping again and carrying the heavy two bags of the fodder back on the Tram and then bus caused me bother.

10gBack to the tram station and caught it back into Nottingham. This proved to be a  hassle filled journey.

When the tram started off, it had few passengers and things were okay – then as it filled with Nottinghamians en route, I found myself squashed against the window with the bags on the floor by a rather sweet smelling large lady. It filled up even more and I moved one bag onto my knees to make room for the incoming masses. I don’t know how the tram moved with all the folks on it – I realised I’d have a job to get off with the bags and get through all the standing passengers in time to get to the door for  the bus-stop I needed.

10hAs we went through the Radford area I managed to take a photograph of the open market there.

I think the changeable weather had confused us poor Nottinghamians somewhat, everyone was either well wrapped up or in summer wear?

We went on and as the tram neared the Theatre Royal stop that I required to get off at, I felt a right fool trying to manoeuvre myself with the bags to the door. As I got up I had a bad dizzy-spell. The large lady next to me, who was getting off at the same stop, immediately informed me I had ‘Gone all white’ and grabbed the heaviest bag and carried it off the bus for me. The lady who was sat opposite me held my arm as we got off. I did feel a fool! So kind of 10j 10kthem, one asked if I wanted an ambulance calling? I thanked them and red facedly sorted the bags to a more even weight distribution and made my way to the Queen Street L9 bus-stop.

The police were there collecting some Nottingham shop-lifters at the bottom of the street. I felt much better physically and all signs of the dizzy-spell had gone. I took what I hoped would be an atmospheric photographicalistion of the Council House.

I still felt thankful for the ladies help on the tram, but rather embarrassed, mortified and humiliated over the incident. Decided I had to inform the Doctor on my next visit. (This is due this Friday 0830hrs, must remember to take urine sample and not eat  anything tonight after 2200hrs before the CDH test with the nurse at the surgery.)

10eThe last L9 bus had long departed, so I caught a 40 one, that drops me off on Sherwood Vale Hill.

Always a bit nervous when I use this bus, because crossing the road after dropping off is a nightmare when you can’t move as fast as you would like to, to avoid the speeding cars coming up or down the hill around the sharp bends in each direction.

Still, it’s not to far to walk.

Although on this occasion I was a little bit worried about another dizzy coming on I must admit.

In the flat, feet, legs and arms aching, I had along wee-wee and used the throne first thing. Put the fodder away.

10lToo tired and weary for some reason to do any laptop work, I got some small potatoes in the oven and made two honey roast ham sandwiches.

Sliced some of the expensive but deliciously sweet tomatoes, added some sliced onions carrots to the plate.

When the potatoes were cooked I added them and had a very nice meal indeed. A worthy 8.9/10 despite my feeling a little under the weather.

I became suddenly apathetically languid, morose, lethargic and listless. It was made worse after I’d watched the Portugal v Wales game. Humph!

No more dizzies, but I didn’t feel so good.

Hey-ho! TTFN

Inchcock Today Sun 3 June 16: Went to see Olive… everything else drift into inconsequential.

01

Sunday 3rd July 2016

10dJumped awake around 0500hrs, the view outside, although the rain and wind had abated, looked dank and dour.

No memories of any dreams.

The £300 second-hand recliner was in the down position, remnants of food scattered around. Oh dear me!

Another urgent visit to the porcelain carried out, stomach still rumbling. Felt so tired still, not surprising really, not much sleep last night.

Laptop on graphics and WordPressing were done.

Cuppa and medications taken with a few biscuits, extra Peptac gulped down.

10bWent to see Olive, this cheered me somewhat. Olive massaged in the pain gel, and we had a little natter, I took her photograph as she looked out of her window and pointed to an area she went scrumping in 69 years ago and told me the tale. Love listening to her.

I went down for me walk to the shops to get some bread and potatoes and left Olive in the laundry room.

Walked up and through parts of Woodthorpe Park, then down to Mansfield Road, up the hill and down into Sherwood.

10gCalled at the Wilko store and got some more of their citrus scented antiperspirant spray, refuge sacks and some more Dettol while it was still on Special Price.

10eVery few folks about this morning, well, lunchtime. I proceeded in a Southerly direction down the hill to the Co-op store. Purchases some wholemeal bread and large potatoes, with which to make some cheesy potatoes later.

On the trek back, up the Winchester Street Hill, I passed (slowly) some Blackberry bushes at the top, and 10ftried my best to take a photograph of the bees on the flowers.

I took about eight shots, but sadly only this one one came out anything like okay.

Huh!

Onward and back to the flats.

As I entered the foyer, the laundry room door was open, and I noticed that Olive’s togs had finished drying. The second dryer was still not working. I thought I’d take them out as she had left her bag on the machine. Folded them and as I was doing so, another lady came in to do her washing. A new gal, I pointed out the foibles of the machines and got it going for her.

Back up on the lift with the gal and had a little chinwag. The lady dropped off on the eight floor, and as I got off on the twelfth one, Olive was coming out to fetch her laundry. She was wobbling a bit as she was earlier today. I was glad I could save her a trip down and up anyway. I just hope she didn’t think I was a bit cheeky in doing so.

To the flat and got the potatoes in the oven baking ready to have a tin of cheap hot dog sausages and some tomatoes later on.

Updated this tosh and did the graphic.

An hour and a half later, I tried to cut the spuds in half and not splitting the husks this time, and emptied the flesh into a bowl and mixed with cheese, salt, vinegar, butter and rosemary. Had to bash them up for ages to get them to mix properly, for some reason.

No bad burns either… well, up to now anyway. So, tinned sausages, baked cheesy potatoes, beetroot, tomatoes and some bread for din-dins today.

P1110258Possibly did to many of the cheesy baked potatoes…. (Well alright, I did make too many of the cheesy baked potatoes) but I ate them all, they were delicious!

So palatable, they should indeed be barred! Hehe!

I watched the France v Iceland match and was more proud of Icelandic players and their fans than ever. Shame the French had to beat them. But they played good and gave me the feeling that they will beat Germany in their next match. But who knows?

Stayed up very late again, mostly cause each time I tried to get to kip, the urge to go for a wee-wee appeared and I had to climb out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair in haste and hobble to the wetroom… it got a bit repetitive. Humph! Each time I got back and struggled back into the £300 second-hand recliner chair, I could feel the birth of the next visit coming on! I got a bit concerned over this. But the calls of nature kept coming… Tsk!

Last visit remembered was about 0250hrs! Woke at 0430hrs and started again.

Inchcock Today Frid 1st July 2016: Few dizzies, spending again, but no Whoopsiedangleplops!

04Friday 1st July 2016

Woke around 0400hrs, tried to recall the dreams, although how I managed to have any with so much waking up done during the night is a mystery.

Seems it was the usual me being chased around corridors by people with bad intentions… or so I think.

No dizzies or headaches this morning.

I gently manipulated myself out of the refusing-to-operate £300 second-hand recliner and hobbled to the throne. A bit of blood from the rear activities, but Little Inchy was blood free. Good that!

P1110241I made a cuppa, took the medications and got the vegetables prepared and into the Crock-Pot on low and cooking.

Parsnips, swede, red peppers, onions, carrots and seasoned them with the vegetable stock and dab of vinegar.

Has a wee-wee, blood-free again (Good innit!) and got the laptop on to finish yesterday’s and started today’s diary off.

WordPressed and found that Mike Steedenski had published a book entitled: The Shop that Sells Kisses – Poetry with a hint of magic. I had to order it, got it from Ebay… no Amazon I mean. They don’t half charge for delivery! I’m hoping Mike wasn’t sober when he wrote these. Couldn’t resist getting it, I’ll comment on it after I’ve read it… that’ll be good! Haha!

Carried on updating this, then did some graphicationalisationing on CorelDraw8 – that incidentally when I opened it, informed me of updates needing to be installed. But, I can’t work out how to find out what they were? Tsk! Still, it’s working.

10a

AndyI got an email from the Surgery confirming the time for the next INR blood test, none this week coming, next on Friday 12th July @ 1115hrs.

They also mentioned they all had a laugh at the doctored photograph I sent them on my email to get an appointment.

Nice that!

I set to doing a graphicalisation then of Mike Steedenski and Shirley, his better half by far.

Did a graphic of this book as well and sent them to him via email, in case they might come in handy for 10bhim on WordPress or anything.

Made another nice strong cuppa and had some biscuits.

The head and the dizzies spells were lingering a little bit. Humph!

The rain was forecast for later. So I had a jolly good shower and did my ablutions. I used the citrus shower gel this morning, shaved without getting any cuts. And used the Wilko Citrus antiperspirant spray!

I took the rubbish bags to the chute and got down in the lobby. The tenants Jenny and Frank were not sounding or looking happy bunnies today. But, we had a natter on the bus to town. I also read my Victoria Wood book, and that had expsensive consequences later!

10dI got off on Huntingdon Street and walked over the walkover way into Victoria Centre (Mall).

The street below was certainly not short of buses as I passed over and took a photo of them.

Into the centre and wobbled along and down the other end.

10cFoolishly, I wandered into the HMV shop and perused the DVDs on offer. No intention of buying any at all, what with me ordering the Law & Order Special Victim ones from Ebay earlier, and them telling me as it was my first order, they would deliver them Tomorrow! I dare not say how much I spent on them. Shame mode adopted! Unfortunately, I espied a box collection of Victoria Wood DVDs… ‘Victoria’s Empire’, a documentary – ‘Victoria Wood Live in your own home’, a one-off 50-minute show – ‘Pat & Margaret’, one of, if not perhaps the best film I have ever seen! – ‘Victoria Wood Presents’, Feature length drama focussing on modern day Kipannoyances – ‘Victoria Wood as seen on TV’, 420mins, some of her finest programmes for the BBC and ‘Acorn Antiques’, her most popular episodes.

Then, saw some Last of The Summer Wine 29 & 30, with One of my comedy heroes in them. Eric Sykes (Spike Milligan and Norman Wisdom the others).

For some reason, the others in the series were selling at £9.99 and ran for 10 hours – this, the one I wanted, was £17.99 and ran or 9 hours! Huh!

Thoroughly ashamed of myself, I paid and embarrassedly I walked to Tesco to get some bread. More money spent!

In Tesco, they were cunningly selling the new Dads Army DVD (Oh why did take that alleyway! Humph!) at £8 instead of £12… guess what…

I also got some bread, roast potatoes and blackcurrant jellies.

As I made my way through to the bus stop, I popped into the Little Waitrose store (I was beyond all hope and help by now with the spending – Grr) and got some tomatoes and Marmite rice cakes.

As I got on the bus, I dropped my bus-pass and it fell under the bus. Hell of a job getting back up again, and this started the dizzies going again.

Had to fight off falling to sleep on the bus on the way back, but fortunately Jenny and Frank caught the bus further on and this helped me.

The rain was just starting as we all entered the foyer.

I wee-wee’d and put the fodder away, and red facedly the DVDs on the overcrowded shelves. – I don’t think I’ll live long enough to watch them all? Hehehe!

P1110247Got the dinner/supper prepared. Vegetables (Hot-Pot), roast potatoes, potato cakes and… no, change of plans. The vegetables are not done… Humph! Opened a tin of chilli to go with the other stuff…

Well that was the plan, but the tin of Chilli had one of those ring opening things and the ring came off as I grabbed it and the tin opener didn’t have anywhere to clip onto the can… Any-road, this was the meal.

Stayed awake for the Wales v Belgium match, what a corker it was too! I know I have some Welsh blood in our family, and was so proud of them. “Byddant yn canu y Cymoedd heno!” (They’ll be singing in the valleys tonight!).

I was so excited I couldn’t get to sleep afterwards… Tsk!

Inchcock Today Tue 28 June 16: Mega-Whoopsiedangleplop Discovered! Well, two really.

04

Tuesday 28th June 2016

Woke at 0440hrs with the £300 second-hand recliner chair firmly refusing to lower itself – I climbed out feeling depressed with things: The Grammarly not working again and no idea how to sort it, CorelDraw8 playing up something rotten, England making a fool and embarrassing themselves against a deserving winning Iceland, Olive finding another skin cancer spot on my back when she pain-gelled me, the wet-room bare woods needing painting… all in all, I am in low spirits. Tsk!

To the porcelain throne, no hiatus there. Worried about how I’m going to find time to get the painting done, I’ve got the brushes, paint and cleaners all ready to go. Getting up the ladder and down on the floor into the corners might be interesting. INR blood test today and Chiropodist tomorrow, must get some fresh veg and fruit in today somehow as well. Seem to be fretting away over everything again this morning.

Made a cuppa and got the laptop on. Grammarly not working, so I tried a Restart – and the laptop froze midway? Force closed and started again, it opened but still no Grammarly apt?

Then CorelDraw8 froze on me! Tried to use the old CorelDraw7 and had to input passwords to access it? Did the graphic at the top of this page and tried loading CorelDraw8 again. Very very slowly it opened, with it seeming reluctant to do so?

Finished the Monday post, and started this off. Made another cuppa, with all the hassle the first one went cold, then realised I’d not taken the morning medications. Huh, fool! So I took them around 0715hrs.

Feeling rather melancholy, gloomy, dejected, sad and miserable now, I can’t help it. Made even worse when I read what the swearing on the pitch, gambling mad, overrated, High Class Hooker user Rooney said after the defeat on the BBC News site:

  1. Going into the last 16 facing Iceland we were confident we could win the game. It’s disappointing but we have to move on. Have you no shame to go with your excessive salary, hooker visits and gambling addictions?
  2. “It’s tough. There are always upsets in football – it’s not tactics, it’s just unfortunate. We know we’re a good team. You know your a good team? So did Iceland mate!
  3. “I can’t stand here and say exactly why it’s happened. Roy Hodgson will look back and think what he could have done differently. Well fancy that, blaming Roy for everything, I am surprised!

Rant over… I think?

Checked with the Google Calendar for the timings of the next few days appointments: 1040hrs today INR blood test, tomorrow 1030hrs Chiropodist to have my toes and feet done, must remember as it is the first visit, I have to get there early so I can give them a list of the medications I’m on and fill in medical forms. Thursday I hope to get to the Winwood Tenants Social Hour and take some photographs and then get to Asda (Walmart) for fodder and get the photographs printed.

Looks like I might get to tackle the cleaning and painting in the wet-room on Saturday? He says, hoping he’ll be a bit less down then and no ailments playing up like.

P1110226

The new umbrella, that claims to be ‘Unblowoutable’

According to the weather forecast, I’ll need me brolly today. Taking the new ‘Can’t Blow Inside-Out one with me. We’ll see about that. Hehe!

0746hrs now, and the second cup of tea has also gone cold.

Posted yesterdays diary and did a bit of Facebooking and some more graphicationalisating for the TFZers Girls in long dresses series. Taking ages this one.

Time had shot by, so I got the ablutions done, a quick shower, changed into me togs, things in the bag, and off at 0955hrs I was off on a walk to the surgery in Carrington, taking the rubbish bags to the chute on my way down.

Walked  easily, nice and steady down Winchester Street hill and left up and down Mansfield Road into Carrington and arrived at  the Sherrington Surgery and sat doing the crossword for half an hour or so. Even getting one finished with only having to cheat looking at the answer  for one clue!

The nurse asked me how I was, and quickly got the Warfarin INR blood taken. I was soon out and walking down into Carrington.

Mandy and BJ at the launderette

As I passed the launderette I noticed BJ’s car was outside, I nipped in for a chinwag.

Took a photographicalisation of Mandy and BJ. Promising to get a print of the photo done on Thursday and let the each have a copy.

07

Nice little hobble today

A little natter and BJ was off to Asda (Walmart) and I went to the Lidl store to get overcharged. But it was a new assistant that served me and didn’t get overcharged or sneered at. Nice change that at Lidl. Got some cobs, jacket potatoes, nibbles for the nurses and Tenant Social hour on Thursday and some apples and bananas.

Then out and walked back to Sherwood, hoping to catch a bus up the hill to the flats, but I’d just missed one, so had to walk back as well.

Called in Wilko and got a spray bottle to use me shower curtain cleaner with.

Shame I didn’t get a chance to try-out the new umbrella.

Still, it made a nice little walk for me.

Noticing the laundry room was empty as I got it the foyer, I made my way up to 72, and put away the shopping, then got the laundry ready, cash and cleaners and went down to the wash-room – Got the washing into the machine and went back up to the flat to update this tosh.

Back down to move the washing into the dryer and Obergruppenfurher Julie told me the big dryer was out of action and would I make an ‘Out of Order’ notice and stick it on the machine. This did with the pen and paper from my inside pocket. While doing this, I realised I’d made a Whoopsiedangleplop at some time earlier – for there on the sink was someone’s washing that had been dried… after examining the clothing I realised it was mine! The washing I took down this morning was still in the washer? By the time I’d done the sign, it was finished and I put the togs into the only dryer working. Felt a bit of a clot at this stage! This was not helping with depression! Hehe!

Back up to the apartment again, updated this to here, made a brew, took the midday medications, wee-wee’d and back down to collect today’s washing from the dryer.

P1110231

Odd socks drying… Humph!

As I packed the togs into the bag, I realised I’d got two odd socks.

Checked the washer and found then other two still in there!

1355hrs: Back up and put the two wet items on the heater in the kitchen with the two dry ones above them so as not to forget where I put them later on.

P1110230

Worried about myself now!

Definitely fretting about myself now!

How did I leave and forget about the washing in the dryer?

How did I pass the memory test at the Doctors?

Put the second lot of washing away.

Made a cup of tea and updated this again. Realised the promised rain had not matured yet.

Got CorelDraw8 going and tired to do some graphic manipulation with it, one object at a time, in the hope that it would not freeze on me again this time. I got many done, but it did freeze again. So I posted those I’d done on the TFZers site, felt sorry for myself, got some nosh on the cook, sobbed and got me head down, it being so late and me getting carried away with the art working and now feeling completely shattered.

Got some fodder, took the medications and had a few hours nodding off for a few minutes, watching TV for few minutes, nodding off for a few minutes, watching TV for few minutes, nodding off for a few minutes, watching TV for few minutes… Hehe!

Inchcock Today Thur 23 June 2016: Brexit Decision Day Vote!

Thursday 23rd June 2016

07

Incock’s Forecast: Remain 55% Leave 45%?

Stirred still feeling tired around 0555hrs, no memories of any dreams. How can it be that sometimes I can remember lots of the dreams, others just a trace, and then like this morning – can’t even remember if I did have any dreams at all? Humph!

The TV was still on, cold cup of tea on the side, a pot of untaken evening medications too, and the £300 second-hand recliner was in the half up half down position, I pressed the button to lower it, and it grinded-away slowly, noisily and reluctantly to let me out of it and get to the porcelain throne. Where, as I painfully performed the daily actions finding much bleeding from the rear end, I recalled that it was the Euro In-Out vote today. Also, Olive was calling to see me and help by phoning the Coopers of Stortford people and inform them of the short delivery yesterday. To be honest, Olive calling to see me took precedence over everything else, and it was hard to concentrate. So I did the ablutions post haste, made a cuppa and took the medications and got ready to go and vote before I forgot to (If yer see worra mean like?).

Made a start on WordPress and Corel, checked the emails.

GC (3)I took the rubbish bags to the chute and took a selfie with the voting form on the way down in the lift. (Just showing off!)

No one about on the way through the lobby or the walk to the Community Shed Voting Station.

The two ladies there were given some nibbles and I cast my vote.

04On the walk back to the flat, I noticed that whoever it was that had planted the pretty flowers at the gable end of the garages, had been tending them lovingly.

Such  wonderful display of different colours coming through altogether. They obviously know their flowers and gardening skills.

Back up to the apartment, (I’d say flat but the Grammar Checker keeps telling me I am repeating the word flat – there you go, it just told me again now! Hehe!) and got the laptop out of sleep mode and updated this tosh.

10

The Lovely Olive

Shortly, the beautiful Olive arrived. We had a cuppa and she got on with sorting Cooper’s short delivery out for me, bless her cotton socks. Then, not messing about, she got the number for Feet First in Nottingham, rang them and made an appointment for me to have my toenails cut there next Wednesday at 1040hrs.

Of course, I’ll remember! Ahem!

09

We searched the web to find the cost, it would be £22 – but worth it, cause cutting my toes is getting harder and harder for me. Thanked Olive muchly, we had a snog (Well, we had a mutual kiss) and a  chinwag. She is an amazing 10agal, and my heart is beating like it hasn’t in years!

She even explained to me the best way to get to the Chiropodists on the buses.

They are situated on Upper Parliament Street, just a few yards from the L9 bus stop too!

I walked Olive back to her flat, she even said she would remind me on Wednesday morning about the appointment – boy, she is a great character!

I returned to my little haven at number 72, wee-wee’d again, made a cuppa and washed the pots. By gum, life is exciting now I’ve met Olive!

Got yesterday’s post done, and further updated this one.

The Crock-Pot that I forgot about last night was put on low. Did some graphics on CorelDraw8.

P1110207Set about sorting out the medication pots.

Took ages as the right wrist and hand were playing up a bit, kept freezing again.

I seemed to be spenting more time picking tablets up than anything else – Hehe!

Some mail was delivered, one from the NHS QMC Hospital re-Skin Cancer appointment being altered from August 17th to Wed 10th August. And one from Nottingham City Homes, a Newsletter regarding the upcoming improvements/modernisation of the Winwood flats. Some interesting clarifications:

  • Acknowledging the request for CCTV to be provided in corridors and community rooms. Costs may prohibit these, and the costs for the up and running current one shot of the lobby door CCTV would have to increase.
  • Windows and balcony design will be presented to tenants at a later date.
  • Security Patrols to be used during the alterations.
  • Laundry and hairdressing facilities would be available during the works.
  • The central garages will be demolished, and replaced with a new Comunity centre. The remaining garages will not be available to hire and will be for tenants use only.
  • The use of Sprinkler Systems being installed to be being considered.
  • It is anticipated that the work may start within 14 months, and take a 14 month period to completion.

I sent them an email thanking them for the information.

P1110208The Crock-Pot was all done, and I got the beef casserole into a dish, some bread and the once Fresh Cream French Horn for afters.

I might have overdone the seasoning just a tad. But it tasted lovely to me.

Evening medications were taken and I had hoped to stay up to watch the Euro Brexit results… but kept nodding off and getting annoyed with myself. Gave up and soon nodded off.

Inchcock Today Mon 20 June 2016

Kip

Monday 20th June 2016

Woke at 0455hrs, as I was (I think) having a dream: I was sat on an L9 bus, talking to one of the passengers on the other side of the bus. When I thought the lady fell asleep – I was glad at the time that it wasn’t only me who did this. The bus driver was laughing heinously, he turned to look at the passengers, and it was David Cameron in a gas mask? He told us that we all deserve to lose our bus passes, for voting for Brexit and furthermore the old age pension will have to be reduced by 40%… the gas will now be released, suitably I am using Zyklon B, thus removing 22 more costly old farts from the government costs! A manic, yet posh laugh followed. For some reason it didn’t effect me, I ran to each of the other passengers, they were all gone, all looking peaceful. It was as if Cameron couldn’t see me as I walked up to the front of the bus, and when I tried to tell him that the Brexit voting had not taken place yet, he just ignored me? He started to pour champagne from a bottle, into a large can of the poison gas, still laughing… Strange early morning dream that one!

The £300 second-hand recliner noisily allowed me out of it, and straight to the porcelain. This morning, the wee-weeing was still lengthy, but not as much as yesterday morning was. The heavy duty job went okay, no bleeding again. Two days now without any, looking good?

The joints were allowing me to move about with relative ease too!

Took the medications with a nice strong cup of tea, and into the ‘Wetroom’ to do my ablutions. All went well, no cuts from the new razors.

Did some tidying up (Not a lot mind!).

Took the rubbish bags to the chute on the way down to go to town in the rain. In the lobby, I had gossip, with some other tenants. As more of the ladies arrived at the bus-stop, I moved out to make room for them under the shelter, I put me brolly up, and it blew inside out straight away. Tsk!

GC blue f03

Another Whoopsiedangleplop! Huh!

Got into town and called in the Poundland Store and got a brolly, well I got two. Along with some nibbles for the nurses later and a Pork Farms Pork Pie.

Then as I came out, I thought I’d take a photo of the crowds in the rain… Whoopsiedangleplop! No card in the camera! I’d left it in the laptop again! So got the new brolly up and walked to Jessops Camera shop on Clumber Street to buy yet another card! They had some 32GB ones of their own label, they were a bit cheaper, so I got one of those. This meant a trip to the bank as I used up all the cash I had with me to buy it. Thus, I got a bit wet again as I hobbled into the10a City Centre and to the bank.

Got some cash, and remembered to ask for £20 of it in twenty-pence pieces. (To use in the laundry room you see? I almost surprised myself remembering then, Hehe! )

Then another trek, this time to Victoria Centre, where I took the walk-over entrance on Upper Parliament Street, where I got the camera out to take a photo of the crowds in the rain.

10 Perfect timing too, just second before I took the shot through the glass, the rain torrented down even harder, but only for a few seconds.

I thought it gave a bit of an eerie feeling to the photograph?

It certainly caught out a few folks who got trapped in the sudden downpour! Shame there was no pavement cyclists to get caught in it. Hehe!

10eWalked into the shopping centre (Mall for our American ether-friends), and as I glanced down to the lower level, the most adorable young boy, who was laughing and smiling taking an interest in everything going on around him, espied me, with my camera. As I was about to take a photographicalisation of an electric powered Nissan car on display a few yards away from the lad and his father. The boy smiled even wider, and I offered him a wave, and he gave me one back and pointed at me. This made it all worth the while of me getting soaked in the rain just to see him. What a happy lad he looked.

10c

They had cleverly cut the car in half to display the features, and it drew a crowd of petrol heads…

Mind you, being electric-powered, perhaps I should call them Power socket heads?

I pressed on towards the Tesco Store to get some bread and whatever else I would no doubt get that I didn’t need.

Dow the escalator without any hiatus, and as I passed by the jewellery store, I took out the camera to take a photograph for the classy TFZer ladies and gents.

10bThese ornaments, are they called? They were all labelled as New.

Some of them were rather pretty I thought.

But where did the idea’s come from? Are they from a children’s TV programme or a new Walt Disney film?

Into the Tesco store and I was immediately disappointed the there would be none of the Fresh Cream Horns jumping into my shopping basket today – they didn’t have any in stock! Huh! Just when I decided to weaken as well – Grumph! Hehe!

I wandered around, got some vegetables for tomorrow’s Crock-pot, and mini peppers. (Going to have Pork Pie today, with mushrooms, peppers and some of the bread-thins with sourdough that I got).

Left and crossed over the road and called in the Pound World shop to try and get some of the Neutradol fabric-freshener but they didn’t have any in stock either. However, I came out with mini-cereal packs, caramelised biscuits and another mini umbrella. Tsk! Still it was for Olive.

10dThe rain had lessened as I made my way to the bus stop on King Street.

Caught the L9 bus and was back at the flats in 35 minutes.

I think the driver must have been due his lunch break?

Up and into the flat, wee-wee’d, put the nosh away, made a cuppa and took the midday medications.

Then got the fish in the oven, forgetting I was going to have the pork pie – Tsk! Mushrooms in the saucepan, onions and beetroot on the plate ready, sourdough bread too, the added the tomatoes and peppers in the oven with the battered fish.

Laptop on to update this while it cooked.

Did some Facebooking.

Settled to watch the England Footy match. We qualified at least, but once again the failure to score goals was worrying.

The mind was racing again, I was still watching TV at 0200hrs. Eventually nodded off, though.

TTFN, all.

Inchcock Today Sun 19 June 16: The Day started well, then…

04

Sunday 19th June 2016

Most disappointed when I woke up around 0600hrs this morning, somehow I knew I’d been dreaming but could recall nothing about them. Humph!

The £300 second-hand recliner was in the down position, and I has half in – half out of it? I got out and tried it to see if it had stopped working, but (Although noisily) it operated okay?

It dawned on me, how easily I’d just got up – Arthur Itis was in a good mood I must say. The knees were as good as they been for years, only the right wrist and arm any bother. Even, the right foot had turned back inward a bit!

In fact, the knees were so good, for a moment with the confusion over the state of the recliner and feeling half asleep, I thought I might still be dreaming?

I almost felt sanguine… for a while anyway. The call to the porcelain the overrode other concerns, and I attended the throne. A lengthy experience, due to the reluctance of my bladder to cease passing like. No bleeding from Haem Aroids or Little Inchy either. An odd sensation, for me this!

I found myself awaiting a Whoopsiedangleplop or to wake up?

When the ‘flow’ eventually ceased, I had a quick wash and went to the kitchen

P1110173Taking my usual view of the incredible scenery, I took a photo of the flowers on the bushes twelve floors down from the window. I was well pleased with how decent the image from the camera was, from such a great distance and zoomed so close up.

Made a cuppa then got the laptop on. Needed another Wee-wee. I was now getting a bit worried about these extra calls to the porcelain!

Finalised the Saturday post and started this one, in between several calls of nature.Medications

Made another cuppa and took the medicines. Then got yesterday’s checked again and published.

Spent a few more hours on the laptop, when I rose to go for yet another wee-wee, it all started. A dizzy spell, the stomach rumbling and a sudden weariness overcame me.

Sat down in the second-hand £300 recliner with a glass of milk, feeling a bit sorry for myself. Huh!

Started the nosh off.

P1110174Read the book for a while, but still felt drained for no reason?

The fodder was prepared, lamb chops, tomatoes and potato cakes with two slices of bread.

I felt I was eating this out of necessity and not hunger.

Just as well, cause it was the worst meal I’ve ever prepared since I came to this flat – horrible! The chops were tasteless, the potato cakes uneatable, the bread dried and even the tinned tomatoes were bland despite the seasoning I’d used!

Or maybe it was me?

Watched a lot of TV, kept nodding off…

Inchcock Today Tue 14 June 2016: Good start, Got a shower! Late Whoopsiedangleplop

10Tuesday 14th June 2016

0530hrs: Up and had a bodily scour,

Yes, at last, I got in the shower,

It lasted for well over an hour,

I gave it some waterpower,

Carbolic soap and talcum powder,

Afterwards, I smelt like a new flower!

Yes, finally I was refreshed. No messing about this morning, got the items needed and straight into the shower room, everything seemed to work correctly, no cold or hot shocks, slips, Whoopsiedangleplops or dizzies either.

The only thing that I was concerned about was the oh-so-very noisy water pump that might have disturbed my neighbour Barbara. In future, I’ll take the shower at night, I think, early evening perhaps. I’ll ask Barbara if I see her if it bothered her.

I titivated the room, remembered to turn off the power, then made a cuppa and took the medications and did my BP tests. The Sys and Dia were a bit higher than usual at 151 & 49, that would be due to me getting all excited about taking me shower? Hehe!

I got CorelDraw going, and somehow, it is currently letting me save to jpg again? Don’t know what I did right this time, but I did delete 815 files?

Walked down to the Community Hut to see Deana, who sorted the insurance renewal out for me, bless her. On the way back, I saw Olive, that cheered me up. She was waiting for the fish van to arrive, which it did, and she got hers first, as it was raining the gals took turns in going out to his van for their fish fodder. I went back to the flat with her, and she showed me her Wet-Room, and she had a pole that reaches top and bottom, with small corner shelves on it, seemed a super idea to me. Olive told me she got it from Wilko. We had a gossip, and I returned to my place and went the things ready for me to go to Arnold, and decided to call at Wilko see if I could get one of the poles, then to Asda (Walmart) to get the photo’s done and some fodder.

P1110116I was soon out at the bus stop with a few other tenants, waiting in the rain.

Good for me that it was raining this morning because that meant I could sneak a photographicalisation of some of them together.

I love listening and having a  chatter with these folks occasionally.

P1110118When the first, Nottingham destined L9 bus arrived, I was left all on my own.

I took a selfie (I think they are called, a photograph of myself like), to show how sad I felt at losing their company.

Note I’ve got my Flobber-dob hat on, the one from the Pound Shop? It covers my hearing aids and glasses in the rain, excellent!

P1110119I arrived in Arnold and went to the Wilko store first.

See the top of this photo on the left? I had the pretty-coloured £1 shop umbrella with me today, and I needed it to take this picture under!

Wilko told me they no longer stocked the poles with shelves on – I could have cried, I’d got almost enthusiastic about getting one for my Wet-Room – Sob!

I poddled and paddled along to the Asda Store and got the photographs done on the machine. Somehow I ordered the Two-day instead of One hour process, though. Humph! Still, Nae bother, I can collect them on Thursday after the Social Hour and Doctors INR blood test… I hope.

Did some shopping, again. Apples, prepared fresh casserole veg, Batch Bread and Lemon desserts jumped into my basket as I passed them… again…

P1110120 Went to catch the L9 back to the flats.

The public bench near the bus stop had taken a further battering and looked in a very sorry state thanks to the local hoodlums.

Managed to keep awake on the trip back to Woodthorpe Court, well I did nod off, a couple of times but was awake when we arrived in time to press the stop bell. Haha!

P1110121

Bootiful!

When I got in the flat, the rain stopped a moment and everything outside looked so green, fresh and new.

I got the fodder away, put the receipt for the photographs in last weeks envelope on the kitchen window shelf behind the accoutrements pot. I write this so I can look back and find it when I can’t find it on Thursday, yer see.

Took the midday medications, made a cuppa and got the laptop on, updating this twaddle.

Later I made another cup of char and rang mate BJ for a talk. He was in good form and told me to have a look at the Ikea site to see if they sold those poles for the wet-room. He’s coming to Thursdays Social Hour, glad about that.

Some items of interest were discovered on the Ikea site, so I made a note of their numbers to show BJ.

Got the fodder going. Minted lamb chops in the oven, to have with mashed potatoes and garden peas with beetroot.

Received a postcard from Cyber-mate and jolly good egg Lynton.

He is a wit! He’s been walking at the Cotswold Way and returned to the fair City of Bath, and thought I’d appreciate the picture of a Bath as I had now lost mine!

P1110124 P1110125

Now that, was a clever thought, thanks, Lynton. Hehehe!

Went to check on the lamb chops, and found I’d left them in the oven tray on the side of the sink. Oh dear! So I put them in the oven correctly this time. Huh!

09Back to the CorelDraw graphic creating, and go got a little carried away with it I’m afraid… Whoopsiedangleplop!

The minted lamb chops were, er, shall I say, incinerated when I next checked.

I gobbled them up, all the same.

The plan was then to watch DVD, then at 2100hrs look at the debate on the Euro Stay/Exit… Nodded off – Woke up around 2330hrs, washed the pots, passed water and head down again.

Best laid plans eh? Hehe!
