So many ailments attacking today. The most annoying and bothersome one was without a doubt; . For constant sheer pain, and causing me balance loss. The above-average ones were , and . With support from & a particularly persistent kept failing.
An awful lot of jobs that I could not handle were being left undone. How I’ll ever catch up is beyond me.
The Domestic did not turn up for her hour of cleaning; she’s catching up with her due holidays she told me two weeks ago, so no blame there. The flat is getting untidy now, and beginning to look uncared for. A messy carer’s desk with bits of tablet packaging residue on the carpet. But it’s too dodgy for me to start bending and cleaning in the state I’m in. Sarah the City-Care OT, sent me an email, telling me not to bend down, amongst other advice:
Mission impossible for some of the suggestions. How can the carers find time or staff to help me clear the room? They can’t supply the domestic now. They’ve had to cut down the hour, to half an hour, of financial assistance. It is the holiday period now; the poor devils are struggling. Staff are taking their breaks when they can, before the time runs out, can’t be helped mind you. I know how difficult it is, being in the same position when I was Security Controller at Sawley Security, a nightmare! Mission Impossible for them as well, re this guidance. Everything is getting behind schedule, and my already dilapidated memory is suffering; I’m trying to catch up, and things get further behind. Now, the eyes & hearing have joined forces & stopped me from doing things. Hey-Ho!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – I’d spent nine hours updating this blog. Too many brown-outs from you know who… This time, I lost all the stuff I’d done today!. So I’ve lost heart here are some bits, mostly photos!
78 years of age, pretty ugly, short, bald, pot-bellied, in ill health. Decaying physically and morally. Mechanical ticker valve, Duodenal Donald, Saccades-Sandra, Arthur Itis, Hernia Henry, Hard of Hearing Hank, Bad eyesight Boris, Reflux Roger, Peripheral Neuropathy, Nerve Neurotransmitters Not-working Wendy, Bladder Cancer Chris, Stuttering Stephany, Haemorrhoid Harold, Shaking Shaun, Dizzy Dennis, FND, ... there are others, but I've tired myself out, now! Hehehe! Oh, then I had a stroke! Now awaiting Cataract & Glaucoma operations. Diabetes 2, Leg-Ulcer-Ulrich, Cartilage Chloe & Carole and am flat-bound. Tsk!
Failures, Accifauxpas and Whoopsiedangleplops are my Forte... Hehehe!
I love making folk smile when I can. TTFNski!
Got to bend down to empty the catheter, Hehe!
Pick-up dropped and broken items, hoover etc. But Dizzy Dennis and Back-Pain-Brenda usually let me know when to stop, Tim. Haha!
My grab sticke are located; one in the wet room, one in the kitchen and the best on near the computer. Be lost without them, mate.
Two meals, I know, a bit luxurious for me.
I’ve updated that blog, explaining what happened and how I lost everything thanks to Liberty-Global owned Virgin Media going down so often… Again! Humph!
Keep safe ou there, Tim and all.
Excellent ode. No bending down? That’s a tough one. Do you still have your grab stick? Beautiful sunset shots. Two meals is a bit wild.
