Tue 8 Sept 15: Inchcock Today – Dentist, extraction and filling – No tooth Fairy though, Tsk!

01topa2a

Woke at 0315hrs – Blimey it’s cold this morning. WC’d, ‘Little Inchy’ worse than ever, blood all over me togs, more extra washing again, Tsk!

Made a cuppa and took me medications as I shivered away – I must get to see someone today to explain this Night-Storage heating system and how it works.

Laptop on and finished yesterdays and started this diary. The USB extension thingy still have to be plugged-unplugged several times before the laptop can read it?

PKGCFinished a graphic on Coreldraw X7 and Corelpaint of Patricia Kropf.

I’ve been working on this one for a time now when I’ve had the chance.

Glad itcame out alright.

Remembered the Morrison delivery coming this morning, then I have to get ready for the visitation to the dentist for me extraction and filling.

Lesser men than I would be nervous about this yer know.

Doesn’t bother me in the slightest, no fear at all, I welcome the pain.4IT6

Made a cuppa and then had a spruce-up, shave and… other things in the bathroom…

Took rubbish and recycle bags and threw them down the waste hute on me way to the community shed to ask Deana if they could so anything with helping me to be able to open the kitchen window to clean it.

P1000022She is on holiday, at the same time that the Camp Obergruppenfurher Julie is? Bad planning that innit?

Walked up and through Woodthorpe Park and into Sherwood, avoiding the many Pavement cyclists and dogs en-route.

Arrived in plenty of time for the dentist so I called in the charity shop to see if they had any furniture, bed or curtains I might invest in.

P1000024They hadn’t.

Back to the Polish dentists, where the receptionist who scares the hell out of me was on duty. I handed her me appointment letter… She looked on the computer and gave me a look of disdain adding: “I am calling you this morning and you are not answering no!”

Me: “No, I mean yes that’s right, I was in the bath when you called, there was no number to ring back on, so I didn’t know it was you.

Her: “This is not good! The dentist is off sick! I needed to inform you, Yes!”

Me: “Not my fault is it?”

Her: “Ve vill have to make anther appointment” – the keys rattled on her machine and she handed me a print-out of the new appointment – 18th Sept!

Me: “Where will I be sending the charge to?” I asked smilingly

Her: “Wos?!

Me: “Well you inform me that if I fail to turn up for any appointment, you will charge me a minimum of £18.50. So who do I charge the £18.50 to then?”

Her: “We no pay, you failed to answer your phone!”

Me: “Which I wouldn’t have done if your dentist had not gone sick – yes?”

Her: At this she turned and spoke with one of the other camp Kommandant receptionists then said: “Ve can take you off of our list your are avare of this yes?”

Me: Grinning broadly I replied: “I was joking, only joking, but you agree it should work both vays yes?” I enjoyed that!

P1000025I left and wobbled down to Wilko’s, where I went in to get some more wood dye.

I came out with an a 16mb SD card, £5 wardrobe organiser, Pledge polish, Wipe roll, Dusters, soap capsules, Olive oil, kitchen cleaner, bathroom cleaner and 375mg magnesium & Vit B tablets!

P1000026Walked up through Sherwood to the bus-stop and had a peep see if the L9 or L8 bus was due.

Found I’d just missed them both.

Hey-ho.

P1000028Me:

Got some bits from the Cooperative store.

Some red peppers, and a packet of biscuits.

Pavement cyclists were about as usual but with the two bags I could not get me camera out in tome to catch em.

P1000027The traffic was building up as I limped up the hill over it and into Woodthorpe Park.

Getting a bit nippy now.

A feeling came over me that I must top this spending.

For some reason I remembered dreaming of Lynton Cox last night – something about him giving a lecture and I couldn’t get the lectern lights to work?

P1000029As I walked up the footpath through the park up to where I turn right and down to the flats, I noticed a chap with a dog on the longest lead I’ve ever seen.

It wasn’t one of those reel-in-out ones.

In this picture the hap still had more dog-lead in loops on his arm to use.

P1000030I walked through a little clump of trees in the way down the hill in hopes of seeing some wild-life to photograph.

When I came out of the wood, a beautiful scene met me.

Back onto the path and down to the flats.

Got in the flat, WC’d, and got the laptop on.

Updated this tosh.

P1000031Put the new date for the dentist visit in my Google diary.

Got me salad ready: Cheese, apple, sliced tossed peppers in Virgin Oil, raw garden peas, tomatoes, potatoes, lettuce, beetroot, potato salad, pork and pickle pork pie and some parsnips I roasted in’t oven – and burnt!

Did some graphicalisationing and then got the nosh down me. Rated it 8.6/10

The weariness dawned again and I did nowt but snooze for ten minutes or so, wake-up, pass wind and snooze again all night! Tsk!

Sunday 6th September 2015

01topa2

Woke at 0115hrs.

Many dreams but could only recall bits and pieces – had to nip to the porcelain, by which time I’d lost many of the memories, Tsk!

I was a ghost and wanted to touch and talk to the people in this hotel lobby I was in – frustrated…?

Alarm bells everyone running around, in Nottingham City Centre, all panicking, I was eating a blackcurrant and vanilla ice cream lolly whistling and doing a crossword and singing… pigeons?

Hey-ho.

Too early to take me medications, mustn’t forget to later though.

Made a cuppa and got the laptop on.

Finished yesterdays Diary off. Did some Facebooking then checked me emails.

Thought about Kentucky Angel Angie and wondered how she was going on with her apartment move. I hope she’s doing alright – she’ll be up to the neck in it at the moment sorting, just hope she manages alright bless her.

Hugs1Thought about telling me sister Jane that I have moved and inviting her to visit, but I decided things haven’t been sorted out and arranged anything like her expectancies yet.

DSC00050Got  scrub-up and ready for a walk through Woodthorpe Court into Sherwood to the Co-op store.

The usual assortment of Nottingham Pavement Cyclists were ll over the place.

First two as I got to the top of the hill into the park.

DSC00051Being a Sunday there were a good few pitch & putters, pitching and putting, and plenty of dogs taking their owners for a walk.

I love seeing the dogs happy chasing after the balls with their tails wagging.

DSC00052I got down onto MAnsfield road and was surprised by the amount of traffic.

The pavement cyclists were still rampant, but getting the camera out to picture them was too much of an effort as I began to feel weary for some reason or other?

Had a poddle around the Co-op shop and found they had some Beetroot and apple bloomers still warm, freshly baked?

DSC00053So I invested in one. (No will-power at all have I?).

Ended up buying too much unneeded stuff again. Tsk!

Still, I got a £1 off when I spend £10 within the next four days coupon at the check-out. I could have done with a coupon barring me from the shop – the amount I’m spending lately. Hehe!

DSC00055When I came out, not feeling to good, but no dizzies, I took a photo from across the road of another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist as he plodded on with the pedestrians having to move out of his way!

At the same time, there were three other cyclists on my side of the road doing the same thing!

I hate feeling hatred, but these ignorant illegal morons do annoy me so, no respect or concern for the elderly or infirm pedestrians at all. It wouldn’t be so bad if the slowed down or moved away from folk!

DSC00056Walked back through Woodthorpe Park.

As I got to the top and turned right, I spotted some squirrels in the trees and walked into them slowly to try and get a photo of them.

They were very small and seemed to be playing with each other.

DSC00057But I could not get close enough and they were moving so fast.

Down the gavel ‘Whoopsiedangleplop’ inviting path to the flats.

Past the illegally parked car and into the reception area into the flats.

Thought I’d take a photograph of the DSC00058area and it came out looking a lot cleaner than it actually is.

Up to the flat and hunger-pangs developed.

Mad missen a nosh that came out better than I thought it would.

The beetroot bread was so delicious.

DSC00059After I ate it, I sat down to watch something on the TV for half an hour…

I woke up three hours later.

Cleared and cleaned up and got on with some graphicalisationing on CorelDraw x7.

Weary once again despite me ‘Old Marissa07man’s nod-off’, I got missen down on the quilt.

Then got up to attend the porcelain.

I got missen down on the quilt again.

Then got up to attend the porcelain.

I got missen down on the quilt again.

Then got up to attend the porcelain.

I got missen down on the quilt again… oh dear!

Saturday 5th September 2015

Sat02

Yesterday

Woke up in the chair – distorted and with the angina and reflux valve giving me some gip – That’ll serve me right for missing me evening medications last night – Huh!

Made a cuppa and took me morning medications with extra painkillers.

Boy I must have been so tired again last night.

Set the laptop up with the new powered multi-USB thingamajig, so I could have access to two DSIM cards at the same time. Finished yesterdays dairy.

WC’d, bleeding not so bad this morning. The skin cancer wound started itching and stinging when I had me wash?

Marissa07Did some Facebooking, checked emails and started work on a graphicalisation idea I had, that didn’t come out well.

So I spent the next few hours getting it right!

Then, the day almost gone, I made P1000020missen some nosh.

Beef sarnies, potatoes, chips (Fries) apple and beetroot followed by Cornish clotted cream with lemon yoghurt.

Took me medications with a cuppa.

Watched some TV, not a lot as I fell asleep again – forced missen down onto me quilt on the floor.

Zzzz…

Fri 4 Sept 15: Inchcock Today

Wednesday 4th September 2015

01topa

Woke up where I fell asleep last night while watching TV – still I didn’t have to struggle up off the floor.

Think I had some amazing dreams, just a feeling but no memories of details.

Late, gone 0600hrs but then I stayed up late last night. Kettle and laptop on, found myself singing again as I visited the WC, that soon changed when I saw the bloodied jammies – ‘Little Inch’ had been bleeding badly last night, wondered if it was something in the dreams that caused it?

Cuppa and medications taken and took some photos through the kitchen window for the top of this diary.

Feeling well drained and the stomach was gurgling a bit. Too much to eat last night me thinks. Huh!

Finished yesterdays diary off then revisited the WC.

Did some Facebooking and checked emails.

Feeling a lot better now. Got myself spruced up and ready for me visit to the Woodthorpe Park Tropical Houses visit. Then I plan to go to Long Eaton to visit the Fultons Food store in search of blackcurrant ice-cream lollies.

Took me x30Z camera with me to take some photo’s of the Tropical House plants.

Sat01Met Diana Walker as I got in the lift gave her a letter for the previous tenant and a nibble.

Walked up the hill to the park and into the Tropical Houses place… oh dear, this is what I found:

Nothing tropical here!

Sat03Terribly disappointed I walked down into Sherwood and caught a bus into town – passing several of the Nottingham Pavement Cyclists en-route and throughout the rest of the day.

Why they don’t just scrap the law about riding cycles on the pavement I don’t know. The police show no signs of enforcing or pretending to enforce the law! This one nearly hit the policeman in the distance when he came out of the shop – not a sign of any admonishment from him. Tsk!

Caught the bus and got into town. Called in the pound shop and got some bread thins, then to the bus-stop over the other end of town and caught a bus into Long Eaton.

Found the Fultons Food store, and they had some blackcurrant ice-cream lollies in stock, so I took a risk of them melting on the way back and bought three boxes of six.

Had a wonder around taking in the memories the place installed in me mind of many years ago when I worked in the town.

Caught a bus back to Nottingham and wandered into the City Centre towards me bus stop for the L9 bus. Too early I had a wander around for half an hour taking some photographs as me ice-lollies slowly melted.

Sat04 pigClandestinely fed some pigeons a few seeds.

Using me new camera I took a close-up of some of them.

Walked up towards the bus stop on King Street and took a close-up of the statues on top of the building, hoping to show the cracks between the Sat05masonry slabs.

I’m still amazed at how they erected these in the first place, and how they have survived the blasting to clean them up.

Back to the flat and sated me hunger by making a nosh that I ate while watching me new TV in the arm chair.

Sat06Washed the pots afterwards and returned to catch the end of what I was watching on the goggle-box – that was it!

Into the land of nod.

Missed me evening medications – I’ll suffer for that later! in fact I am doing so now in the morning as I write this drivel.

Thu 3 Sept : Inchcock Today: Off to visit Fooey, Jane and Pete at their Mansion…

Thursday 3rd September 2015

Woke and lay there thinking of the dreams I’d had: I was driving around the countryside at night in a great luxury car, A BMW type, and dropping folk off and picking some up. It was foggy and dank. I had the feeling that the people I was taking and picking up were happy? – Later in a totally different scenario I was stuck in a spiders web, but not concerned at all as the beast approached and wrapped me up and hung me up? – I found a scribbled note on me book about Back at college doing Grocers Institute course, but can’t remember owt about it like?

Forced missen to get up, boy was I still tired.

Soon found ‘Little Inchy’ had been and was Bleeding, so I went t’bathroom the corticosteroid cream is getting low now. Not easy stopping the leakage this morning but I eventually managed it. WC’d.

Made cuppa and took me medications.

Found wrist alarm and hearing aids where I expected to (Not bragging like… well, yes I am). Made sure I’d got all I needed in me bag and jacket: Solicitors letters to show Jane and Pete as I collect the house-deeds later on me visit to fuss Fooey the cat, camera, nibbles for Jane and Pete, mobile phone in pocket, bus-pass.

Did some Facebooking and finished yesterdays Diary.

Time to do some graphicalisationing before I have to get missen cleaned up ready for me trip to the Mansion.

All prepared I went down and waited in the reception area at the entrance for a few minutes due to the weather being cold outside.

♫ Baby it’s cold outside,

(I really can’t stay) But, baby, it’s cold outside
(I’ve got to go away) But, baby, it’s cold outside
(This evening has been) Been hoping that you’d drop in
(So very nice) I’ll hold your hands they’re just like ice

(My mother will start to worry) Beautiful, what’s your hurry
(My father will be pacing the floor) Listen to the fireplace roar
(So really I’d better scurry) Beautiful, please don’t hurry
(Well, maybe just half a drink more) Put some records on while I pour

(The neighbours might think) Baby, it’s bad out there
(Say what’s in this drink) No cabs to be had out there
(I wish I knew how) Your eyes are like starlight now
(To break this spell) I’ll take your hat, your hair looks swell

(I ought to say no, no, no, sir) Mind if I move in closer… ♫

Sorry, got carried away again… Tsk!

Had a chin-wag with some other tenants as we waited, then moved out and I got the bus into town.

Slipped the pigeons some seeds as I walked to the bus-stop and caught the bus out to West Bridgford. I was soon at Jane & Pete’s palace. Jane was cleaning the porch-way windows and floor, so got me to step over onto the mat… nearly had a Whoopsiedangleplop!

I gave them their nibbles and pressies, half expected  birthday surprise back from them but nothing matured.

DSC00046Pete produced some old blown-up Ordnance Survey maps of old Nottingham and we had an interesting chat over them.

After Jane and Pete finished their er… discussion on where Cromwell Street was on the map – Jane won 3-2, we looked at another two maps Pete had.

It was fascinating looking at how it was in 1865.

Whoever drew them to scale must have been a genius without all the od cons not being available.

01topA squirrel appeared on the there bird table and I used me new camera to take some shots of it.

Very pleased with the results I must say.

Took some photo’s of Fooey. They came out with Red-eye, so I’ll me interested in seeing how they come out after treatment on the Corelpaint proggy later, never tried red eye removal before.

Then Jane set to kindly explaining my faults to me:

I don’t listen to what people say! Difficult when she and Pete are talking at the same time with the TV on in the background – but I dare not say owt like…

I don’t eat properly. How does she know when she hasn’t been to see me for two years? – but I dare not say owt like…

I’m too trusting! – Guilty!

I can’t expect to make friends if I don’t go out socialising! I can’t afford to yet – but I dare not say owt like…

I’ll never get anywhere to live if I don’t pull me socks up! I haven’t told her yet that I have moved – but I dare not say owt like…

My glasses aren’t clean enough – Guilty! – but I dare not say owt like…

There were many more, but I don’t have enough band-width to list em all – Hehe.

Pete thanked me for the painkillers I gave him for his toothache… no, come think of it he didn’t. He was in a grumpy mood, the pain I suppose, so I forgave him.

I made an excuse after two hours and left to catch the bus back into town.

DSC00047Had some time to kill so called in the pound Shop and got some bread. Then down into town where, parked in the exact spot I parked in years ago when i was working in security and on an alarm response activation and got a parking ticket for me efforts – was the Lord Mayors Jaguar – but it didn’t bother me after all these years, oh no indeed. WPlie

I had a walk upDSC00048 Clinton Street, so much busier than yesterday.

Unfortunately I walked past Jessops and forgot about going in about the camera – Flogglecocks!

I put it down to me attention being taken away by the young lady with the gorgeous chunky legs on display in the photo like.

To the bus stop to find I’d missed the L9 – these gals showing their legs cause all sorts of problems don’t they? Tsk!

So I got on an Arnold bus and dropped off in Sherwood, crossed the road and walking up to see when the next L8 from there was, it arrived and drove passed the bus-stop while I was ten foot away. Hey-ho.

Carried on up the hill and had another walk through Woodthorpe Park back to the flats – the tootsies were aching a bit when I got in.

First thing WC’d, then made a nosh and watched some television – Yes… I can now I’ve got me headphones sorted. (He says smugly)

Washed the pots and cleared up and got on with downloading the photographs I took of Fooey at the Mansion while being rollocked by Jane.

39Foo01x3

I was mildly chuffed when I got them done. The first one above had bad Red-eye, first effort didn’t clear it all, second perfick! Cropped it too.

39Foo2x3I got Jane to give hold him while I fussed him. I’d have got down to cuddle hie bit last time i couldn’t get up again! Tsk! Got rid of Red-eye.

39Foo3x3Last one, I mirrored it horozntally and added a spotlight onto Fooey’s head and face.

Not happy with this one though. In’t he great?

Bless him. So much character for very senior cat.

Cuppa and took me medications.

Updated this diary then got into doing some Facebooking at last, despite it being a little late.

Got the headphones onto the TV and sat down to watch two episodes of ‘New Tricks’ Fell asleep…

Wed Sept 15: Inchcock Today: Galavanting

Wednesday 2nd September 2015

01top

Boy I must have been so tired yesterday – I slept for over ten hours!

Woke up with bits of me dreams in my mind, but couldn’t find me pen to note them down before they’d drifted into the ether – even the notepad had disappeared, maybe I ate them during the night? Humph!

As I tackled getting up off the floor and me quilt, many of me ailments reminded me they were still there:

The skin cancer wound, I think that was because I’d spent so long laying on it like. Anne Gyna letting me know it’s going to be a painful struggling day in her usual stabbing fashion – Arthur Itis not keen on me moving at all – Duodenal Ulcer telling me not to eat any of the wrong foods today, or else! – The haemorrhoids leaking blood, and the reflux valve in no doubts about it’s intentions to make me suffer today! But sod em all, I’m going out later to have a look for some luxury fodder and a walk around town with me camera! There, take that! Hehe!.

After a painful porcelain visit I made a cuppa and took me morning medications. Laptop on and finished yesterdays diary off, started this one and did a graphic to use later.

It still surprises me how I can be here in pain and yet singing away to myself? Bonkers perhaps? Silly question, I knew the answer to that before I thought it. Haha!

Found me wrist-alarm and hearing-aids alright. (Bragging again here you notice?)

I’m looking forward to seeing Fooey tomorrow when I go to see Jane and Pete. Who incidentally have opened my house deeds and read through them. I’ve had them for around 46 years, unopened ready for the day I can move for me to read first. I have no idea why I felt a bit hurt when I found they had opened and read them through? I might be reverting to me childhood here?

Took me midday medications a tad early – mainly due to me accepting the time on the wall clock (That lies on the floor) as correct, before realising the battery had died.

Took the rubbish bags to the refuge chute then got missen spit and polished and ready to catch the bus to Nottingham. I was going to see if I could get extension cables for the headphones and USB multi thingy fer the computer.

Brolly in me bag, bus-pass in me pocket and hope in me heart, forward I went in search of the meaning of life and blackcurrant flavoured lollies… I lost it there, sorry. I’m back now…

IMG_0004Had a chin-wag with some other tenants and set-off on the bus into town.

The sky looked threatening this morning. But wonderful all the same.

Took a photograph about half way to town.

IMG_0005As we were almost at the stop in town, the bus stopped in a queue of traffic and I took a sad photographicalistion of the buildings…

And the amazing lack of peoples.

Wandered down to Maplins and got me things for the computer and headphones.

IMG_0008Walked to Jessops and got some advice on me camera.

Even Clinton Street was not busy today – very odd I thought.

Hobbled along Upper Parliament Street and onto King Street to catch the L9 bus at the top bus-top near the Post office.

IMG_0010Took a photo showing the Council House and ‘Little John’s’ bell tower against the skyline. (On the right)

I waited for the five minutes before the L9 electric powered bus arrived and I boarded it, again not many folk there on the bus either?

As I sat there I looked up across the road and spotted the gargoyle like statues at the top of the walling.

They were rather pretty I thought, and tried to imagine how someone got the erected so high up there all those years ago.

IMG_0011Zooming closer I saw some of the brickwork had parted – hope they don’t collapse.

We moved off and on the way to Sherwood.

When the bus stopped at the pedestrian crossing, I noticed that even the Pawn-Broker, Money Loan and We buy Gold IMG_0012shops had no customers in them, and they usually have some in whenever I pass normally.

Got back to Woodthorpe Court and visited the porcelain.

Got some nosh on, and connected me extension cable to the headphones and tried them to see if they worked. They IMG_0013were okay.

Got me nosh served up and digested.

Lettuce, fish in batter, chips, garden peas, beetroot, chicken bits and fresh apple, with some bread thins.

Followed by a lemon mousse and iced lolly.

Laptop on and updated this twaddle.

Did some Facebooking and graphicationalisationing for later.

Got washing ready and took it down and started washing machine, one of the two washers was free, one of the driers was free – then a git tenant came and put her stuff in the one free drier. Naughty selfish girl! She didn’t need the washer just the drier, and it says clearly on the notice if you are only drying clothes do use machine if both washers are in use! Tsk! Humph! Huh!

I came back up to the flat did a bit of sorting of one of the dozens of carrier bags to do. Got me crossword book and returned to the reception area to pretend to anyone passing that I can do crosswords, while the washer washed. Hehe!

Went back down and moved the stuff into the drier when it finished.

Had a walk through Woodthorpe Park into Sherwood, to get a Beetroot and Apple Bloomer to take for Jane and Pete in the morning.

01topa2aInteresting little walk it wer:

When I got to the top of the hill and turned down the footpath towards Mansfield Road there was only one person on the path apart from me like it just had to be another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist!

Got me loaf me loaf for Jane just as two fire engines and three police care sped towards the town.

Got back on the footpath through the park and a motorbility-mug nearly had me as he came from behind so close it made me jump. Tsk!

Then when I got higher up another Pavement Cyclist took me attention away from a man’s dog that tool an unnatural interest in me groin area!

Walking down the gravel path on the hill to the flats, I just avoided a Whoopsiedangleplop as I slid on some wet leaves.

However, I did get back safely to the flats, took me washing out of the drier and up to the twelfth floor and home. I think that’s the first time I’ve called the flat home? Things must be improving a bit eh?

I looked at the paperwork from when I bought me last camera and it said if I apply before 7 Sept to Panasonic, I can claim £60 back! Well thought I, I’ll give than a go.

01topa2IMG_0015So I put away my togs and got onto it…

Two hours later I worked out how to apply and found the correct page to do it on and when I filled in the application form, I got this message on the left.

Confusing innit? Jessops tell me I’ve got until 7th Sept and the Panasonic site tells me I have to wait 28 days after registration is completed – so I registered. Ain’t life difficult? I’ll call in Jessops tomorrow and ask them what’s what.

I’ll take this camera with me just in case owt crops up that might be suitable for the Bird & Flower Facebook site that I can try to take a piccy of. This camera is Zx30, the other one is Zx5. Whatever that means like. I’ll take the opportunity to ask them how I can get the date back on correctly, cause I got it wrong first time I tried. Huh!

I tooked a photo of the skyline from the kitchen window on the newer camera.

Took me medications with a cuppa, very late though – Huh!

Must clear-up and get me head down now – don’t want to miss the first bus in the morning when I go to Jessops and then to see Fooey, & Jane and Pete now I have their permission to visit.

Night all.

Tue 1 Sept 15: Inchcock Today: Not much done today

Tuesday 1st September 2015

01topa2a

I’m starting this diary off from yesterday at 2100hrs – due to me getting confused as to what time it was, thinking it was morning when it was evening and what day it was… if yer see worra mean.

01top

Started this diary, then did some Facebooking and checked emails.

Got a wash and shave, then the Morrison’s order came – the driver didn’t leave any paperwork with the nosh?

Rang Steve UK as he told me to about the keys for the old place – No answer… Well fancy that!.

Had a cuppa and took me medications rather late in the day but still, better late than never.

Now I’ve got to wait for Steve from Age UK to ring back, and keep trying to ring him. Can’t make plans for going about me hearing aids.

I rang Jane and Pete about fetching me Deeds for the  house but they couldn’t tell me when I could go to collect them as Pete had to go to the dentist.

No answer from Steve Age UK.

Popped into the WC taking me phone with me in case Steve from Age UK rang (Faith that was!).

A knock came on the door – struggled to get missen decent and hobbled t’door – it was the lady I was speaking to yesterday from the floor below – she’d spotted a hearing-aid on the table in reception and thought it might be mine!

Hopes lifted we went down and it was the one I’d lost! Yahoo!

Thank heavens someone found it and the lady informed me!

When I got back in hunger pangs gripped me, and I put some chips on t’oven and had two of them Polish hot dog like things. I rang Steve (The invisible man) of Age UK and forgot to take a photo of me nosh, but was still well and truly over-the-moon with finding the hearing aid.

Ate it up and cleaned the kitchen up a bit, then had a search… a long unfruitful search for me Audio Record Book.

Made a cuppa and took me midday medications.

Watched two episodes of New Tricks while waiting foolishly for Steve (The invisible man and Councillor) of Age UK to get in touch as he said he would last Friday. Humph!

Did some graphicalisationing.

Still no answer from Steve Age UK. “Ring me and I’ll come and collect the keys and get started sorting out selling your house for sale…” said Steve of Age UK last Friday.

Well I did call him Tuesday (Today like), 5 times before 1100hrs leaving voice messages – then Text him – Then tried on the other phone twice, left messages, then text him on the other phone and tried fruitlessly to ring him yet again… twice more. It is now 1345hrs and I’m well miffed, after getting me hopes up with foolishly believing him again! I think I’ll have a sign made for me forehead: “Please Con Here”.

I can certainly recommend any older person with problems and no help to contact Nottingham Age UK to try to get a Councillor to assist them… if they are sadists and mugs that is.

Can’t concentrate on doing owt else at the moment. Need to know where and when I can get the keys to Steve so he can start moving with the house selling.

Wanted to get to do some things in town as well, but the unknowing and lack of control of events is so frustrating!

Aye up… Steve from Age UK rang… I take it all back… He going to call in tonight to collect the keys on his way home to enable him to get a Charity charity van to pick up owt they’d like, then house clearers. And I hope get the house on the market sharpish!

Cheers up a tad now, currently singing away to missen a mix of the mobile phone ring tone and Adam Faiths, ‘We are in Love”, with intermittent bits of Dean Martin’s old stuff.

I went down to the Winwood Community shed with the mail for Margaret the last tenant, and handed Deana Walker and Obergruppenfurher Julie a choice of nibbles.

Got back to the graphics with a renewed jest.

Fell asleep and woke up with Steve ringing the intercom.

Gave him the house key and had a little chin-wag.

He showed me some of the functions of the TV remote thingy, then shot off cause he was on his way home and had frozen foods in the boot of his car.

I put kettle on and made a cuppa and took me evening medications.

Laptop on and updated this scintillating bit of rubbish.

IMG_0002Comment from Angie mentioning her itch on her back and how she struggles to get to it to relieve it.

I told her about me shoe-horn that I bought last week at Ikea and how I now utilise it as a back-scratcher.

Perhaps she could employ me as an official Angel-Back-scratcher and I could move over to the States? Just a thought like.

AANancyDid some graphicalisationing for the TFZ page.

Lyzzi and Thomas in this one, with a few TFZers pets thrown in. Hope they like it. Two new pets included that I didn’t have photographs of to use in the past.

The now becoming famous early evening tiredness dawned again on me.

I got down and conceded to the land of nods calling.

Mon 31 Aug 15: Inchcock Today: A walk in the Woods – that was the plan…

The rain and mist this morning

I was so tired yesterday I was in bed by 1650hrs – sprang awake around ten and got and stayed up inter-netting all night. Hehehe!

Did some blog posts, on the LOMM site. Facebooking, emails etc.

Had a cuppa and took me medications.

Boiled some potatoes for later. Thought I’d get down and clean some spots on the kitchen floor… how long it took me to get back up I ain’t sure, but I’m talking a good few minutes and pain here! Humpf!

Started this diary off, then went fer me bath (Hope I get out of it easier this time).

Back in a bit…

Managed to get out of the bath without any Whoopsiedangleplops.

Got the bag ready to take with me – my aim was to go and have a look in Woodthorpe Park to see if I could miraculously find me hearing-aid, then have a walk into Carrington and fetch some last bits I want from the old dump.

IMG_0152

Only one person in sight

At the end of Chestnut Walk the rain began to pour down really heavy, so I abandoned me plans to go searching in the woods and turned back and down to the end then right down Winchester Street.

I took a photo from under my brolly of the almost empty street.

Down to the bottom and right onto Mansfield Road and into Carrington to the flea-pit.

IMG_0153

No persons in sight here… oh, one!

Still raining heavily, I got in the house and sorted the bits I wanted into the bag, and left without any sadness and walked to the Lidl store to see if they had any Cornish Clotted Cream on sale.

Took another photo from under me brolly of the deserted streets?

Mind you that’s not  bad thing, it meant the rain had kept the local yobs indoors.

Down to Lidl and found they did not sell clotted cream – but they had some Lemon Curd yogourts and Lemon mousse so I got one of each.

IMG_0154

Nottingham Pavement Cyclist

Went to the checkout, paid for them and started to walk out without them. Luckily the chap came after me with his “Silly old bugger” look on his face and handed them to me.

When I got out, feet aching now, a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist must nearly had me as he wondered on completely oblivious to the fact texting away on his phone as rode on. I took a photo from under the bus-shelter. Git!

Took me midday medications with a drink of Bitter lemon which I cleverly took with me.

IMG_0155

Poor things!

I caught a bus into Sherwood, and noticed the flower displays had been knocked about a bit by the heavier than ever rain still coming down.

I took a photo from under the brolly again!

Then I crossed over the pelican lights and walked over the hill into and through Woodthorpe Park back to the flats.

It was not cold with it, but the rain persisted belting down summat rotten heavy like and wet I noticed! Hehe!

IMG_0156

Woodthorpe Park: Abandoned by folk to nature – and Inchy. It’s the rain yer know, they don’t like up em Mr Mainwaring!

Again there were few folk to be seen. I took another under-the-brolly photo, I’m getting good at this, mind you I only had the one bag to carry.

The feet and knees gave me some hammer for the last few hundred yard.

Met some tenants in the reception area and had a little natter – I love doing this yer know.

One lady looks so much like my TFZ friend Janet Aaron it’s amazing. I asked her if I could take a photo to put on TFZ, but she rejected this… nicely mind.

Made a cuppa, took evening medications and got the laptop on. I forgot to ‘cream’ Little Inchy.(Fancy that! Hehe)

Sister Jane sent me an email. Pete has got toothache and they wanted some of me painkillers.

01topaShe also sent me news and a photo of there so still cute cat Octogenarian Fooey, they know I love him so, cause like me he’s different to the others. Not pretty but a great personality.

I can’t remember what breed he is, but his coat has to be pruned every single day, or it gets matted and lumpy. He was a little poorly stray 19 years ago, but they never found his owner, so they adopted him, or he adopted them. Hehe!

He had a Whoopsiedangleplop last week, fell off his favourite sleeping chair, shook himself up – But he had the sense not to sleep their any more, and he’s changed to kipping near a certain chair leg now, that means Jane and Pete can no longer use it themselves. Gawd I adore that cat!

Tomorrow I’ve got me Morrisons nosh coming early, then I’ve got to get in touch with Steve from Age UK to sort giving him the keys for the old place. And if time get to report and arrange a replacement hearing aid, Dentist Wednesday, Got to get me house deeds from Jane who keeps them since me last break-in a the old house, but doesn’t yet know I’ve moved – I so want to get this flat sorted and the old place got rid of and sold, then I can surprise her. Tsk… it’s all go again!

An irresistible urge to sleep overcame me once again, and I got me head down. The flipping cramps put in an appearance first.

I woke and remembered bits of a dream: Something about being lost walking on clouds, but in a gigantic cellar with a canal running through it? Building a raft and loading it and t kept sinking?

Suddenly almost in a panic, I noticed it was seven-forty-five, The Morrisons order was coming between 0730>0830hrs! Scrambled to get up painfully like a rhinoceros that had just given birth and only had three legs.

I put the laptop on to check the times of the nosh coming on Google diary and realised it was not 0755hrs – but 1955hrs! I had to laugh at missen.

So up and wobbling about, I stayed up, and finished this diary off. I did feel a fool!

Sun 30 Aug 2015: Inchcock Today – Determined to have an easy day!

Worked a Treat!

0540hrs: Up feeling okay, to the WC and pleased to report very bleeding this morning from front or rear!

Arthur Itis still in residence of me knees of course, but he’s giving me hands and fingers a rest at the moment bless him. Even the reflux valve is absolutely no bother at this moment! I might sing to myself now – ♫ Happiness, happiness, I thank the Lord that I possess more than my share of happiness…♫ as Ken Dodd used to sing.

Found me hearing-aids and wrist alarm despite leaving them both in the wrong place!

Made a cuppa took me medications and planned my day: Check and respnd to me emails, Finish yesterdays diary, Make and post a graphic for Frankie and Caroline in America, have a good bath and soak, do me laundry and if time left go visit the Tropical House with me camera in Woodthorpe Park, must remember it closed at 1500hrs though. It might be tight, cause the laundry take a a minimum of just over two hours – and that’s if any machines are free when I get down to the laundry room.

CarFra01

Caroline & Frankie have a nibble before retiring!

Checked me emails then did a bit of Facebooking, then did the graphic in Coreldraw x7 and Corel Paint x7.

Had a good bath and soak, changed into new clean togs, and WC’d.

Then got the washing ready and went down and got it in the washing machine.

IMG_0147

New Sign up in the Laundry room – made no difference the filter was still clogged when I came to use the drier. The Senior Naughties. – Tsk!

Did me crosswords book… well I got one or two answered while the machine performed.

A chap told me he’d just heard on’t radio that we are due for rain from 1900 tonight through to at least 19oohrs Monday night, Oh dear.

Hour later I moved the togs into the drier, then up to the flat to collect me camera and off on a walk to the Tropical House at the top of Woodthorpe Park.

IMG_0148

Bootiful!

Foolish Inchcock forgot it closed at midday on a Sunday! Tsk!

I did take photo of some flowers, no idea what they were, but there was a selection of them competing for the sun, that looked nice.

So back to the flat through the rough areas with the old trees, I love going that way for some reason. When I arrived back at the flat I thought me hearing aid-battery on my left one had dies and thought that’s odd, cause I only put a new one in on Friday…

Whoopsie

I went to take it out and it wasn’t there!

Panic! I went back out and searched where I thought I’d walked in the Park, but no luck.

Dejected I returned made a cuppa, and took me midday medications!

I’ll have to manage for a while, cause the Audi-clinic is closed until Wednesday – so even if I can afford to get it replaced it’ll take a good while. I waited 25 days for the original ones to get made ready, and that was after waiting 6 weeks to have a test first.

But hey-ho, it didn’t upset me so much as it would have earlier in the month. I was just angry with missen like.

No Dizzy-spells up to now though, that’s good.

Laptop on and updated this garbage.

IMG_0149Then set to sorting me pots of medications out, checking them and making up new ones with what medications I have left in me drawer.

Hunger pangs stared around 1520hrs and I made a pan of seasoned tomatoes and sausages with bread thins.

Not bad for a rushed nosh.

IMG_0150I was getting tired again and I didn’t know or understand why?

It’s been a slow day for me. The only things annoying up to now are the Garden being closed and losing me hearing-aid – but why should these things make me so tired suddenly?

Hey-ho.

01topa2Laptop back on updated this diary, then had a go at another graphicalisationing session before I fell asleep.

Updated this old one, not happy with it but Lyzzi likes it.

Overcome with tiredness so early again.

Head down.

Sprang awake around 2200hrs – got up and on’t internet again. Huh!
