Inchcock Today – Sun 27 Sept 15: Whoopsiedangleplop ridden day! Oh dear…

Sunday 27th September 2015

01topj2

Another dream filled waking up all the time nights kip! (Oh dear) I eventually got off proper like and managed a good five hours slumber in one go, and all through the night, only two calls to the porcelain.

I found some notes that I had apparently scribbled about the dreams, but they were largely indecipherable. Most annoying that.

Very foggy this morning.

Whoopsiedangleplop number one: I’ve lost one of me hearing-aids again! Searched fruitlessly for hours everywhere, including the bins. Definitely lost it this time. Damn and blast!

Made a Cuppa and took me medications. Depressed and annoyed wiv missen again now too!

Another Hearing-aid search, fruitless.

Had a good wash and scrub-up.

Decided although it was later than I had planned to to do it yesterday (I was hoping to get to the laundry-room around 0500hrs to beat the others to getting a free machine) to get me washing done. But I’d lost so long searching for me hearing-aid. 0645 hrs: Collected the washing from the bathroom bag, made sure the soap capsules and softener were in the bag and I’d got the coins to operate the machines.

Got to the lift to go down, and when I pressed the call button, a lift came up to me 12th floor, but the door didn’t open? After a few more presses, it did open and I nervously got in and pressed for the ground floor. The cage shook a bit on the way down – don’t know if it made any noises cause of course I had no hearing aids in. Huh!

Got in the room and someone had beaten me to one machine, but the other was free, so I got me washing in alright. I could see the fluff sticking out of the drier that someone or more than one by the look of it, had not cleaned out. I cleaned it up.

I returned to the flat and made a cuppa and did another pointless search for me hearing-aid.

Laptop on and did some updating on me diary. Then down again to the laundry room – via the lift that acted up just like me earlier trip down in it.

Me washing had 3 minutes left to finish, so at least I timed something right for once. Hehe! But someone had used the drier I’d cleaned out, so I cleaned out the other one and used that.

Back to the flat and did another pointless search for me hearing-aid.

Did a graphic and searched again for me hearing-aid.

The lift acted the same when I went down to the drier in the laundry room.

Took me washing out and into me bag and back up to the flat. Saw my first person of the day a lady I’d not seen before. Obviously she was on her way to the laundry room. Maybe not a good idea to try and get my laundry done on a weekend?

Back to the flat. Took me bags to the rubbish chute now it had well gone 0800hrs.

Whoopsiedangleplop number two: When I got back from the chute, I bent down to pick up a bit of fluff I’d walked into the hallway – had a dizzy, grabbed at the door handle to stop missen going down – of course the handle turned and down I slid – Clunk thud! Hard to believe even for me, but I caught me left cheek (Face cheek!), against the storage heater – it is now more important than ever that I get  to the dentist, and it also started the angina off. Hey-ho!

01topj1Another cuppa (a right thirst this morning?) and took an extra pain-killer to ease the pain from the tooth.

Started today’s, then finished and posted yesterdays diary. While doing this I came across a photo I’d taken yesterday afternoon when I noticed a large number of flies buzzing outside around the kitchen window. I tried repeatedly to get a close up photo of one of them, ten wasted shots later, this was the best I could manage. Wondered why they should suddenly appear? Were they perhaps young meat flies?

P1020118

Fog all cleared now

Did some Facebooking,  a lot of Facebooking.

Went to make another cuppa and took another photo from the kitchen window now the fog had gone.

Rang Jane about the time for meeting Pete tomorrow with the Laptop for him.

Agreed to meet him twixt 10 > 1015hrs. (Well that’s what they demanded like).

Then if we’re quick I can get back to the GP for me flu jab and INR tests in time for 1130hrs – then back into ton to report me hearing aids missing – then back to Sherwood to get booked in at the dentist. That’s the plan any-road…

Whoopsiedangleplop number three: Went into kitchen to wash me cup and noticed the sink looked a tad grungy. So I decided to try the Jif cream cleaner on it to see if that would improved it any… during which I came up with some advice for any other old twit who wants to scrub his kitchen sink with cream cleaner to be aware of…:

P1020119“Take extreme care when bending over into the sink to get good access with yer scouring pad… as when you get carried away, it does yer spectacles no good at all when yer bang em against the tap spout!”

You can always add calling in to see the optician tomorrow along with going for yer flu jab, yer INR Warfarin level blood test, the dentist and the audio clinic to yer plans. Huh!

Got me nosh in the oven and saucepan cooking away.

Pondered on whether or not to try and do, me corner-stand up again, but thinking of the Whoopsiedangleplop ridden day up to now – I decided to leave it until tomorrow morning, then I’ll give it plenty of time to dry properly while I’m out in me appointments and errands for hours.

P1020120Ate me nosh, battered fish fingers, seasoned chips (fries), and baked beans, followed by a lemon dessert and apple pieces.

Rated 8/10.

Washed up the pots and sat down to watch TV, after a few nod-offs I gave up and sorted what I hope is me last bag of documents, mostly for shredding, then found some more in the next box. Tsk! They can wait.

Had a bath and changed into me night attire. Made a cuppa and laptop on to finish this diary off.

Did some Facebooking and checked emails.

Evening all, have a good day.

After I’d had a nod-off for a few minutes I sprang awake – I’d been dreaming of Kentucky Angel, I was in America with her and we were at a fair eating candy-floss! Wonderful dream.

Inchcock Today – Fri 25 Sept 15: Day of rest… of sorts

Friday 25th September 2015

P1020088

The kitchen this morning, a mess. Corner-stand in the middle of the room still drying, wood polish, cleaners all over the place, the leaked Flash spray to sort, hey-ho!

Kept springing waking all through the night until about 0300hrs as I recall, dream filled but cannot recall them. Yet I reckon I got a total of over 7 hours in, and woke still feeling drained.

But realised I had to get so much done today and was visiting Jane and Pete this afternoon. I must remember I have to ring them first to make sure it was okay for me to go, as instructed by Pete yesterday.

Cuppa and took me morning medications, had an extra painkiller because I missed me medications last night. Tsk!

The reflux valve and angina were bad because of this. The toothache still there but not too bad at the moment.

Made another cuppa and laptop on. Finished yesterdays diary and posted it, checked emails, then had a bash on Facebook while I had the chance. So much still to do today, not going to be an easy one methinks.

Hours later I got the bath I’d been longing for. And, no Whoopsiedangleplops getting in or out of it!

Got the pressies and nibbles for Jane and Pete in me bag, bus-pass, camera and letters for the previous tenant to drop off at the community shed. Set off.

Met Deana and Julie on my way out of the building as they were emptying the coins out of the washing machines. Handed Obergruppenfurher Julie the letters, and she promptly screwed them up and dropped them in the rubbish bin? It’s nice to know that conscientious reliable centre-carers that we pay extra for on top of our rent can be relied on innit? Hehe!

Walk to Sherwood through Woodthorpe Park and caught bus into town.

Realised I’d again left me HDSC card in the laptop and could not take any photographs – decided to get another one so I can always keep one in the camera.

P1020089Called into Vic centre and got a Spending Voucher for Jane’s Christmas pressie.

Went to the Jessop camera store and bought yet another HDSC card for the camera. Tsk!

Took photo when I came out of the shop on Clinton Street. Busy as usual.

P1020098Caught the bus to WB, dropped off and walked to Jane’s mansion.

When I arrived Pete was vacuuming the old cat Fooey!

He loved it! (Mr Fooey the cat I mean)

I was so impressed with this I’m going P1020097to do a post about it with photographs on WordPress later today.

Cuppa tea presented to me and we had a good chin-wag.

Gave them their pressies and nibbles.

Pete was very much impressed with the camera-watch I gave him. Read the instructions and said it needed a computer. No problem I told him, I can give him me old one to use. We agreed to meet in town on Monday and I can give it to him then.

01topj4

Hog Roast stall, one customer!

Much nattering later, I departed to catch the bus into town so as not to miss the last L9 bus that goes to the flats. Realised I’d got the timing wrong when I got into town and had an hour to spare, so I had a poddle around town using me camera.

The food stalls were back in the slab-square. Some new ones I spotted, but 01topj5they were not doing very well trade-wise.

The Hog Roast stall only had one customer.

Mind you the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich stall didn’t have any!

01topj6The same amount of customers that the Ostrich burger stall had!

The Chocolate Strawberry Stall was the same.

I caught the last L9 bus back to the flats.

WC’d then got me nosP1020108h on.

I was tired again and the reflux valve started to play up – I thought about abandoning the Beef and onion in black bean sauce with seasoned fries in case it made the reflux valve any worse… But I do so love this meal…

I ate it slowly as I could to limit any chance of it bothering me later.

Rated this 9.2/10 for sheer taste – the mandarins in jelly with sour cream cheese was nice too!

Feet up, drink of shandy and I nodded off nicely for an hour or so.

P1020109

I’ve not got it right yet – Tsk!

Took me medications, thought about giving the corner-stand another touch up.

It’s still there being walked around in the middle of the kitchen floor and not yet anywhere near passable as usable.

I’ll ave to ask someone if there is anything I can do to make it less blotchy.

I must have done summat wrong, I don’t know whether to use the scratch liquid or polish on it again next? Huh!

Sat down again and put the telly on.

More nodding-off ensued.

Gave up trying to watch whatever it was I was trying to watch, curled up and drifted into oblivion – where dreams kept making me wake up (?) very often throughout the reminder of the night?

Somehow this didn’t bother me at all, I think I was feeling more content than I have for a long time now. Worrying that for me… Hehe!

TTFN all, and thanks to all who have helped me get through me problems of late.

Wed 23 Sept: Inchcock Today: Hassle!

Wednesday 23rd September 2015

P1020069
Morning all!

0630hrs (Late for me) Woke up in the chair, hobbled to the WC.

DSCF0200-002Me legs were swollen again and Arthur Itis was visiting me knees fingers and hands. Reflux valve sticking again, bleeding Little Inch and haemorrhoids and toothache persisted.

The skin cancer wound started stinging and itching again?

Hey-ho.

Thought of the dreams I’d had while I was on the porcelain – by the time I’d finished made a cuppa and got the laptop on few memories remained. Somehow I was back in boats/ships again, and frustrated… no details came back to me. Annoying that!

Made another cuppa and took me medications, and extra 30g codeine taken.

Finished off yesterdays diary of Woe and started this one.

Checked emails – Did some Facebooking and posted yesterdays diary. Graphicationalised.

Got a bath and shave, got me things ready and went to the community shed with letter I’d received for Margaret the previous tenant. Gave Deana and Julie their choice of nibbles.

Caught bus to town, then another out to West Bridgford to sister Jane and Pete’s abode.

P1020070Gave them their bag of treats. Had a Chin-wag and rollicking received.

Had a bit of fuss with their cats.

We decided that I would ask Steve of Age UK to ring Pete, who had some ideas for selling the old house quicker. I said next time I contact Steve I’ll get him to ring Pete. Pete was not happy P1020072that I didn’t ask him first.

Jane managed a smile and showed off her home grown figs.

I walked on to the centre and caught the bus to town.

Dropped off near the Victoria Centre and had a walk around for a while until time to catch the L9 bus back to the flats.

P1020076Slipped the pigeons some seed near the back of the council house.

Walked through the slab-square.

The square was full of little ganglets of Nottinghomians.

Not very busy elsewhere.

P1020077Caught some citizen ignoring the traffic lights as a tram passed by clanging it’s warning bell.

Along Long Row and up inton Street, that was it’s usual busy self.

Turned into a street to avoid nowadays if you don’t want to be stopped by Big P1020074issue sellers, beggars, street artists or consumer service interrogators.

Walked to the top and into Upper Parliament street and left along to the Post Office bus stop.

The L9 arrived and I got on and fell asleep without any problem.

Kept waking and nodded off again and was lucky when I woke just as the bus was arriving at the flat bus stop.

Steve rang minute later – I told him about Pete wanting to speak with him, he sounded a tad put-out by this. Wanted to know why. Told him I thought they were worried about me not things sorted in time before the reserves got too low. After another chin-wag he said he could be free tomorrow but wanted to know what time. I said I’d ring Pete to find out then ring him back.

Rang Pete, who said any time after 1400hrs.

Rang Steve back and he said he’s be at the flat about 1400hrs then.

Tension was in the air…

A letter from Nottingham City Homes arrived about Virgin Media making folk sign a contract with them. Like they had with me. A bit confused about this? Sent email to Dean Walker telling her I’d signed a contract and asking for advice.

I had a walk into Sherwood and called at the Co-op shop to get some beetroot and apple bread. They had some Cheese and Jalepeno bread on sale and I tried one of those, even not knowing what Jalapeno was. Got some other bits so I could use me £1 off if I spend £10 voucher.

Walked back through the park, was going to take some photographs of the birds in there, but had not got me camera with me. Tsk!

P1020078Had curried beans, hot dog sausages and the new bread followed by mandarins in jelly with cream cheese.

It was horrible!

Rated this culinary disaster at 3/10. Huh.

The jalepeno in the bread tasted like red hot peppers, I could still taste the burning flavour hours later.

Took me medications.

I washed the pots left them to drain on the draining board, made a drink, sat down and nodded off.

Woke hours later at well gone midnight. Mouth felt like sandpaper, but surprisingly the toothache was no worse.

Cleaned up the kitchen stuff, WC’d and made a cuppa.

Started laptop to update this diary.

Checked and replied to emails.

Did some Facebooking and graphicationalising.

Mon 21 Sept 15: Inchcock Today: Depressed!

Monday 21st September 2015

Woke up in the chair 0305 hrs, ‘Little Inchy’ bleeding, stomach still churning and feeling guilt-ridden and pathetic.

Made a cuppa and got the laptop started.

Had a supportive email from ‘Ratty’ about me sorting problems – thanks Ratty.

To WC and tended to bleeding ‘Little Inchy’.

Still feeling  but down, I thought of the days demands. I must get diaries done, check me emails, keep up with Facebooking, then get a bath and shave and ready the things for the INR Warfarin Blood level tests at 1230hrs at the GP surgery.

Then I try to call Steve from Age UK to see what he plans to do about selling the old place. No answer.

According to whether I get through to him and an answer, and what he plans, I’ll see if I can get time to sort a bag or two out.

Started this diary.

An unwanted and unexpected feeling of utter depression built as the day went on.

My lower legs blew up hard like balloons, the bleeding, the toothache, the angina and more bothersome than ever was the reflux valve. Yet none of these were the reason for my depression – I think.

P1020060

Photo taken from under a bus shelter to avoid gerrin me camera wet!

Again, all I did was graphics and internet until I got ready for me walk to the GP surgery.

It was pouring with rain, I put me big coat on and set out on me poddle to the surgery.

Called in the Winwood Community shed, no one there.

Got thoroughly soaked by the time I got to the surgery.

Made appointment for me flu jab, the nurse did me blood tests.

Went to Lidl and got some bits. Bus back to Sherwood, walkd through the park back to flat.

P1020061Made me nosh and didn’t even wash-up after it.

Odd that feeling like I do at the moment I continued to nibble biscuits, curls and iced lollies for the rest of me waking hours?

Collapsed in an odd sort of maze and did nothing in the work or sorting departments.

Watched some TV for ages, but my mind was not on it.

Didn’t even put the laptop on!

A deep melancholy took over. But somehow, as soon as I got me head down I nodded off as if my life depended upon it?

Woke up when BJ rang to say he’s pick me up in the morning twixt o800 > 0830hrs and lift me to the launderette bless him.

Woke a few times, can’t remember the dreams but I knew I’d had them.

Then on one occasion the toothache was bad so I went to get some painkillers and Whoopsiedangleplop! – the reflux valve stuck and i really thought “This is it” – amazing how although struggling to breath, I seemed so calm about it. Lasted a couple of minutes, then cleared, I could feel the selling going down and being replaced with a pain I’d not had before. Ah-well.

Sorry this diary might seem a tad morose, but that’s how the day was.

No doubt I’ll spring back – like Arnie! Hehe.

TTFN all.

Sun 13 Sept 15: Inchcock Today – A day in to get some work done… but…

Sunday 13th September 2015

01topa

Woke at 0615hrs: Full of memories of some of me dreams, the one I recalled best was of me in a frogman’s outfit that had cockroaches inside the helmet, I was at the bottom of the ocean, and a fish (fresh-water Carp like one) was trying to break into me helmet? Duncan Robertson, well his head anyway, was floating around and talking to the fish – no idea what he was saying like. For some reason I was searching I think, for me hearing aids on the bottom of the ocean? Duncan disappeared and returned with a note on a school easel and pointed it out to me, it said “Ferry on the way, don’t burnt your porridge?” Lots happened then but I can’t recall what exactly, only that I found myself on a bus driving along the sea-bed and Duncan was the bus conductor, and he hit me with his ticket machine and threw me off the bus without my frogman’s outfit, but handed me a sign printed ‘Help’ first, then started eating the cockroaches?

I got up and WC’d then made a cuppa and took me medications.

Laptop on and got into finishing yesterdays diary off and doing some graphic preparation work, and created the dream-scene above.

Then I put an advertisement on the Streetwise sight to sell me microwave cooker.

Got carried away and me tea went cold, made another and when I was in t’kitchen noticed a lady with her two dogs 13 floors below outside on the field.

01topa2aThis for some reason cheered me up, seeing the dogs tails wagging furiously and her giving them fuss and attention, so I took a photo of them with me Panasonic camera.

Not one of me best, but they were a long way away – that’s my excuse anyway I say. Hehe!

Still didn’t get me second cuppa though – Little Inchy was very sore and leaked a bit of blood again, so I went in t’bathroom and tended to him.

Not complaining at all though, me other ailments were all apparently giving me a rest this morning: The Ulcer was nae bother at all, the reflux valve had gone down nicely, the skin cancer wound was only itching a bit and no pain whatsoever, Arthur Itis was not bad at all, Anne Gyna was calm too. The hernia only gave me little twinges, and the bruise from me last Whoopsiedangleplop had all but disappeared, so only Little Inchy bothering me at the moment! Great! Add to this the being cheered up by seeing the woof-woofs so happy, I’m feeling very contented for once.

I sent a message to the local police about the many pavement Cyclists on the roads locally:

Good morning,
I’m writing to ascertain what the law really is about cyclists riding on the pavement locally to me. (anywhere really I suppose).
Being elderly and not so nimble nowadays, every time I go out to Sherwood I see cyclist on the pavements.
I realise they may find it dangerous on the roads – but not one of the dozens I have photographed and hundreds I have seen have had a honker, horn or bell on their bikes.
My being partially deaf this would not help me much anyway I know.
I have had cyclist on the pavement coming from behind at great speed, many of them using the mobile phone whilst riding.
giving me and others I’ve spoken to a nasty shock – on three occasions I’ve been hit by them, none of them stopped afterwards either.
They in escaping danger for themselves are creating danger and hassle for the less able pedestrians.
If they are too scared to use the roads they shouldn’t be on a bike.
I enclose just a few of those I’ve caught with me camera.
This is a serious worry and concern for me, and many others in the aided-flats i live in now, after moving from my house to avoid the local yobs.

I’m really concerned almost frightened to go out lately so many of them and they do not slow down, and just give abuse if I mention anything about their possible illegal activities.
Thank you.

Made yet another cuppa and got on with this diary, then did some Facebooking, checked me emails and blogged.

DSC00084

Rated 8.8/10 Super-good Nosh this one: Virgin oiled red peppers, wonderful roast parsnips, cubed potatoes, beetroot, red onion, beef pasty, apple, roast potatoes, garden peas & carrots. Followed by Blackcurrant jelly & cream!

Got me nosh going.

Did some Facebooking while it cooked the settled down to eat it.

Rated this one 8.8/10, very nice.

Beef pasty, red onions, garden peas, carrots, beetroot, roast parsnips cubed potatoes, red peppers marinated in Virgin oil and roast potatoes.

The usual tiredness came over me quickly. so I updated this diary to here, made a cuppa and took me medications.

Had a bath – falling asleep in it – Tsk!

Then got me head down – eventually nodding off.

Sat 5 Sept 15: Inchcock Today

Saturday 5th September 2015

Sat02

Yesterday

Woke up in the chair – distorted and with the angina and reflux valve giving me some gip – That’ll serve me right for missing me evening medications last night – Huh!

Made a cuppa and took me morning medications with extra painkillers.

Boy I must have been so tired again last night.

Set the laptop up with the new powered multi-USB thingamajig, so I could have access to two DSIM cards at the same time. Finished yesterdays dairy.

WC’d, bleeding not so bad this morning. The skin cancer wound started itching and stinging when I had me wash?

Marissa07Did some Facebooking, checked emails and started work on a graphicalisation idea I had, that didn’t come out well.

So I spent the next few hours getting it right!

Then, the day almost gone, I made P1000020missen some nosh.

Beef sarnies, potatoes, chips (Fries) apple and beetroot followed by Cornish clotted cream with lemon yoghurt.

Took me medications with a cuppa.

Watched some TV, not a lot as I fell asleep again – forced missen down onto me quilt on the floor.

Zzzz…

Wed Sept 15: Inchcock Today: Galavanting

Wednesday 2nd September 2015

01top

Boy I must have been so tired yesterday – I slept for over ten hours!

Woke up with bits of me dreams in my mind, but couldn’t find me pen to note them down before they’d drifted into the ether – even the notepad had disappeared, maybe I ate them during the night? Humph!

As I tackled getting up off the floor and me quilt, many of me ailments reminded me they were still there:

The skin cancer wound, I think that was because I’d spent so long laying on it like. Anne Gyna letting me know it’s going to be a painful struggling day in her usual stabbing fashion – Arthur Itis not keen on me moving at all – Duodenal Ulcer telling me not to eat any of the wrong foods today, or else! – The haemorrhoids leaking blood, and the reflux valve in no doubts about it’s intentions to make me suffer today! But sod em all, I’m going out later to have a look for some luxury fodder and a walk around town with me camera! There, take that! Hehe!.

After a painful porcelain visit I made a cuppa and took me morning medications. Laptop on and finished yesterdays diary off, started this one and did a graphic to use later.

It still surprises me how I can be here in pain and yet singing away to myself? Bonkers perhaps? Silly question, I knew the answer to that before I thought it. Haha!

Found me wrist-alarm and hearing-aids alright. (Bragging again here you notice?)

I’m looking forward to seeing Fooey tomorrow when I go to see Jane and Pete. Who incidentally have opened my house deeds and read through them. I’ve had them for around 46 years, unopened ready for the day I can move for me to read first. I have no idea why I felt a bit hurt when I found they had opened and read them through? I might be reverting to me childhood here?

Took me midday medications a tad early – mainly due to me accepting the time on the wall clock (That lies on the floor) as correct, before realising the battery had died.

Took the rubbish bags to the refuge chute then got missen spit and polished and ready to catch the bus to Nottingham. I was going to see if I could get extension cables for the headphones and USB multi thingy fer the computer.

Brolly in me bag, bus-pass in me pocket and hope in me heart, forward I went in search of the meaning of life and blackcurrant flavoured lollies… I lost it there, sorry. I’m back now…

IMG_0004Had a chin-wag with some other tenants and set-off on the bus into town.

The sky looked threatening this morning. But wonderful all the same.

Took a photograph about half way to town.

IMG_0005As we were almost at the stop in town, the bus stopped in a queue of traffic and I took a sad photographicalistion of the buildings…

And the amazing lack of peoples.

Wandered down to Maplins and got me things for the computer and headphones.

IMG_0008Walked to Jessops and got some advice on me camera.

Even Clinton Street was not busy today – very odd I thought.

Hobbled along Upper Parliament Street and onto King Street to catch the L9 bus at the top bus-top near the Post office.

IMG_0010Took a photo showing the Council House and ‘Little John’s’ bell tower against the skyline. (On the right)

I waited for the five minutes before the L9 electric powered bus arrived and I boarded it, again not many folk there on the bus either?

As I sat there I looked up across the road and spotted the gargoyle like statues at the top of the walling.

They were rather pretty I thought, and tried to imagine how someone got the erected so high up there all those years ago.

IMG_0011Zooming closer I saw some of the brickwork had parted – hope they don’t collapse.

We moved off and on the way to Sherwood.

When the bus stopped at the pedestrian crossing, I noticed that even the Pawn-Broker, Money Loan and We buy Gold IMG_0012shops had no customers in them, and they usually have some in whenever I pass normally.

Got back to Woodthorpe Court and visited the porcelain.

Got some nosh on, and connected me extension cable to the headphones and tried them to see if they worked. They IMG_0013were okay.

Got me nosh served up and digested.

Lettuce, fish in batter, chips, garden peas, beetroot, chicken bits and fresh apple, with some bread thins.

Followed by a lemon mousse and iced lolly.

Laptop on and updated this twaddle.

Did some Facebooking and graphicationalisationing for later.

Got washing ready and took it down and started washing machine, one of the two washers was free, one of the driers was free – then a git tenant came and put her stuff in the one free drier. Naughty selfish girl! She didn’t need the washer just the drier, and it says clearly on the notice if you are only drying clothes do use machine if both washers are in use! Tsk! Humph! Huh!

I came back up to the flat did a bit of sorting of one of the dozens of carrier bags to do. Got me crossword book and returned to the reception area to pretend to anyone passing that I can do crosswords, while the washer washed. Hehe!

Went back down and moved the stuff into the drier when it finished.

Had a walk through Woodthorpe Park into Sherwood, to get a Beetroot and Apple Bloomer to take for Jane and Pete in the morning.

01topa2aInteresting little walk it wer:

When I got to the top of the hill and turned down the footpath towards Mansfield Road there was only one person on the path apart from me like it just had to be another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist!

Got me loaf me loaf for Jane just as two fire engines and three police care sped towards the town.

Got back on the footpath through the park and a motorbility-mug nearly had me as he came from behind so close it made me jump. Tsk!

Then when I got higher up another Pavement Cyclist took me attention away from a man’s dog that tool an unnatural interest in me groin area!

Walking down the gravel path on the hill to the flats, I just avoided a Whoopsiedangleplop as I slid on some wet leaves.

However, I did get back safely to the flats, took me washing out of the drier and up to the twelfth floor and home. I think that’s the first time I’ve called the flat home? Things must be improving a bit eh?

I looked at the paperwork from when I bought me last camera and it said if I apply before 7 Sept to Panasonic, I can claim £60 back! Well thought I, I’ll give than a go.

01topa2IMG_0015So I put away my togs and got onto it…

Two hours later I worked out how to apply and found the correct page to do it on and when I filled in the application form, I got this message on the left.

Confusing innit? Jessops tell me I’ve got until 7th Sept and the Panasonic site tells me I have to wait 28 days after registration is completed – so I registered. Ain’t life difficult? I’ll call in Jessops tomorrow and ask them what’s what.

I’ll take this camera with me just in case owt crops up that might be suitable for the Bird & Flower Facebook site that I can try to take a piccy of. This camera is Zx30, the other one is Zx5. Whatever that means like. I’ll take the opportunity to ask them how I can get the date back on correctly, cause I got it wrong first time I tried. Huh!

I tooked a photo of the skyline from the kitchen window on the newer camera.

Took me medications with a cuppa, very late though – Huh!

Must clear-up and get me head down now – don’t want to miss the first bus in the morning when I go to Jessops and then to see Fooey, & Jane and Pete now I have their permission to visit.

Night all.

Sun 30 Aug 2015: Inchcock Today – Determined to have an easy day!

Worked a Treat!

0540hrs: Up feeling okay, to the WC and pleased to report very bleeding this morning from front or rear!

Arthur Itis still in residence of me knees of course, but he’s giving me hands and fingers a rest at the moment bless him. Even the reflux valve is absolutely no bother at this moment! I might sing to myself now – ♫ Happiness, happiness, I thank the Lord that I possess more than my share of happiness…♫ as Ken Dodd used to sing.

Found me hearing-aids and wrist alarm despite leaving them both in the wrong place!

Made a cuppa took me medications and planned my day: Check and respnd to me emails, Finish yesterdays diary, Make and post a graphic for Frankie and Caroline in America, have a good bath and soak, do me laundry and if time left go visit the Tropical House with me camera in Woodthorpe Park, must remember it closed at 1500hrs though. It might be tight, cause the laundry take a a minimum of just over two hours – and that’s if any machines are free when I get down to the laundry room.

CarFra01

Caroline & Frankie have a nibble before retiring!

Checked me emails then did a bit of Facebooking, then did the graphic in Coreldraw x7 and Corel Paint x7.

Had a good bath and soak, changed into new clean togs, and WC’d.

Then got the washing ready and went down and got it in the washing machine.

IMG_0147

New Sign up in the Laundry room – made no difference the filter was still clogged when I came to use the drier. The Senior Naughties. – Tsk!

Did me crosswords book… well I got one or two answered while the machine performed.

A chap told me he’d just heard on’t radio that we are due for rain from 1900 tonight through to at least 19oohrs Monday night, Oh dear.

Hour later I moved the togs into the drier, then up to the flat to collect me camera and off on a walk to the Tropical House at the top of Woodthorpe Park.

IMG_0148

Bootiful!

Foolish Inchcock forgot it closed at midday on a Sunday! Tsk!

I did take photo of some flowers, no idea what they were, but there was a selection of them competing for the sun, that looked nice.

So back to the flat through the rough areas with the old trees, I love going that way for some reason. When I arrived back at the flat I thought me hearing aid-battery on my left one had dies and thought that’s odd, cause I only put a new one in on Friday…

Whoopsie

I went to take it out and it wasn’t there!

Panic! I went back out and searched where I thought I’d walked in the Park, but no luck.

Dejected I returned made a cuppa, and took me midday medications!

I’ll have to manage for a while, cause the Audi-clinic is closed until Wednesday – so even if I can afford to get it replaced it’ll take a good while. I waited 25 days for the original ones to get made ready, and that was after waiting 6 weeks to have a test first.

But hey-ho, it didn’t upset me so much as it would have earlier in the month. I was just angry with missen like.

No Dizzy-spells up to now though, that’s good.

Laptop on and updated this garbage.

IMG_0149Then set to sorting me pots of medications out, checking them and making up new ones with what medications I have left in me drawer.

Hunger pangs stared around 1520hrs and I made a pan of seasoned tomatoes and sausages with bread thins.

Not bad for a rushed nosh.

IMG_0150I was getting tired again and I didn’t know or understand why?

It’s been a slow day for me. The only things annoying up to now are the Garden being closed and losing me hearing-aid – but why should these things make me so tired suddenly?

Hey-ho.

01topa2Laptop back on updated this diary, then had a go at another graphicalisationing session before I fell asleep.

Updated this old one, not happy with it but Lyzzi likes it.

Overcome with tiredness so early again.

Head down.

Sprang awake around 2200hrs – got up and on’t internet again. Huh!

Wed 26 Aug 15: Inchcock Today – Scoffing away eating like… well I don’t know, but he’s eating far too much Tsk!

The field this morning in the rain

0345hrs: Woke gently for once. Lay there a few seconds and made some notes of the dreams I could remember having, then the urgent and sudden demands of the bladder beckoned and I struggled up and hobbled to the bathroom – which is where I realised that the new jammy-bottoms did not have a hole in the front if yer know worra mean! Huh!

Cuppa and medications taken.

Laptop on, finished yesterdays diary posted it.

Noticed the notes about the dreams I scribbled – but my writing was hard to decipher. It seems I was with several folk and we were dancing in a fashion, somewhere on the deck of a boat… a lot of activity of an intimate nature was being enjoyed by all – then damn it I moved into a different scenario. I was being pummelled from above by folk one at a time who were queuing to hit me with various articles thrown down through a man-hole above, and a voice would shout out a score each time they clobbered me, accompanied with a trumpet fanfare and falling twinkling broken Christmas baubles?

Went on Facebook to cheer myself up as I felt a depression coming on after I’d thought of how things were not moving with sorting the old place out.

Back to the bathroom – the haemorrhoids were not so bad and bled a lot less this morning. The worst are Anne Gyna and Arthur Itis. The reflux valve that can cause bother quickly from nowhere is nice and calm at the moment. I said the worst is Anne Gyna and Arthur Itis, but I think I was wrong – sudden depression is the worst.

I started the graphics for a blog for LOMM about Dunc and my efforts at erecting the clothe-racks, as Dunc suggested.

Took me a few hours to get the graphics done on Coreldraw X7 before starting the actual writing of the blog, and I didn’t know why I was doing them really in the state me mind was in. Foolish childish escapism perhaps? (Sounds about right to me).

LyzXmasSpent three hours doing one graphic, but it was a hard one and it came out fairish, so I was sort of pleased with it, and I do enjoy doing them.

This cheered me up a bit.

Must phone Steve from Age UK, the missing man who doesn’t reply when I phone him – I think I’ll do a text message instead – begging him for help with getting the house sorted and putting it on the market.

Here goes, I love wasting me time…

Had a good soak in’t bath. Got missen looking half decent and set off to take the letters to the Flats Community Shed – got as far as the lift, then returned to the flat to pick up me camera making sure I’d got me DSIM card this time.

Off to the shed, and had a natter with the gals there, forgot to drop off the letters – hey-ho.

Had a walk through the park into Sherwood and called at Sue Ryder shop, they had no beds in, but did have some of the large Ottermans in, but only two and I wanted four to finish of the bedroom – all bar having no bed that is like.

Caught the bus into Arnold and had a wander around there.

IMG_0116

Dark skies and closed down shops in Arnold

Even more shops had closed-down now.

It’s not fair on the shoplifters yer know!

The fag and Alcoholics cheapo shop had closed too!

It’s not fair on the unemployed yer know!

Walked to Fultons to see if they had any of the cheapo-but-nice blackcurrant lollies in, no luck.

Walked out to Sainsburys with a view to catching the last L9 bus back to the flats after shopping, cause there is a stop outside their garage, well filling station.

In the middle of me shopping, Steve from Age UK rang, he’ll meet me tomorrow at 1400hrs at the old house to have a look at what needs doing next in the plan to sell the house when I get it ready like! We’ll see if there isn’t a meeting that runs late that prevents this happening.

IMG_0118

Outside Sainsburys waiting fer bus

I over spent again, nothing new there then: Got some of the beautiful Anya potatoes to boil, bread thins, tomatoes, lemon cheesecakes and… oh dear, and this as dear too – Cornish Clotted Cream! The shame of having a weak will-power will be my undoing yer know!

Got to the bus stop and waited in plenty of time for the bus to arrive, I thought I was about 5 minutes early for it, got there at 10 past it was due 15 past.

IMG_0119

I stayed awake on the bus – Yes!

No sign of the bus after what must have been ten minutes, so I looked up the times on the time-table in me pocket… then checked the time on me mobile – it was 14 minutes past – how I made such a cock-up I don’t know. but I got it alright and enjoyed the ride through the housing estates of Nottingham en-route back to the flats.

IMG_0120

Naughty Cornish Clotted Cream for afters – guilt ridden I am now, guilt ridden!

Back on the main roads again and I was soon back in the flat getting me spuds on the boil and me Fisherman’s Pie in’t oven.

Had some of the nobbly long special nutty flavoured potatoes boiled, the fish pie, sprinkled with cheese and singed a bit on purpose, beetroot and apple – followed naughtily by lemon cheescake and some of the Cornish Clotted Cream! Marvellous, but the pie let me down, very much lacking in taste! Humpf!

Still I give it 8/10 just fer the potatoes.

Devoured it and got the laptop on to update this diary.

Took me medications.

Read some of me book and actually ate some of the fancy potatoes I’d done extra to have tomorrow? Why am I eating so much lately – I’m like a pig lately?

I must try to remember to ask Patti Berkert for some more photo’s of her art-work so I can make another graphicalisation for her talents. These are the two I’ve done with photo’s of her actual art pieces. Brilliant aren’t they, I’m so proud of the gal – oh, second thoughts, I’ll not ask her yet, cause she’ll be busy arranging her trip to Brazil.

AngBThis is one wot I dun is of Angie, the Kentucky Angel.

She is a treasure too. Copes with so many ailments and problems but still finds enough energy to plan of building a giant canoe so she can come and visit little me. (I’m planning on building a kayak for a return visit). Angies and Patti’s senses of humour are so precious to me.

The arthritis and angina are back again after giving me a break earlier, so I’m going to get me head down early methinks.

That’s the plan anyway, hehehe!

TTFN I hope!

Mon 24 Aug : Inchcock Today – Shattered, drained, and a tad tired…

Monday 24th August 2015

01topa

0200hrs: Awoke full of memories of the dreams I’d had – by the time I’d remembered yesterdays farcical losing of the hearing-aids Whoopsiedangleplop, and the joy of finding them, the memories of the dreams had dissipated into the ether from which they came… Tsk!

To the WC as soon as I’d struggled to me feet – felt the ‘sensations’ from ‘Little Inch’ as I walked there, oh dear. It turned into pain when I cleaned away the blood, the lesion and it’s condition is best not described here – but it were nasty! Huh!

I reckon I got a good six hours kip last night – mind you I was drained from all the erectionalisationing of the clothe-racks and worry about losing me hearing-aids.

IMG_0098Made a cuppa and returned to the front room, where I felt warmth and appreciation when I saw the computer table and chair that Dunc’ had given me – his suggestion to use it for eating off worked a treat last night.

Thanks again Dunc’ mate!

As I settled at the laptop to finish off yesterday Diary, I realised that Anne Gyna, and the reflux valve were giving me a break… no bother from either yet – I like this situation!

Mind you, with the ‘Little Ich’ all inflamed sore and bleeding, it’s just as well methinks.

BJ said he might be able to get to see me today to help with the sorting at the old place for couple of hours. Two visitors in two days eh? I like that too!

Started this diary off, and had to visit the porcelain again – messy again.

It was almost time for me medications, so I made another cuppa and took them.

Did some blogging and am glad to report that Kentucky Angel Angie in America has got a date for her moving flat, and some help with it. so glad for her.

BJ rang, he’s coming to pick me up – I’ll meet him at the end of the road.

We got the old house and started grafting straight away – amidst the dust and rubbish BJ took control of what needed doing and led me in how it should be done.

It was really hard work up and down the stairs for me. By the time we’d got many many bags ready to bring to the flat, and bags and box’s of rubbish, donatable goods and stuff to bring via a van and man separated in  their own area, three hours had passed, three painful areas.

Me knees legs back and groin ached summat rotten and I was feeling so weary, but so glad and thankful for BJ helping me out.

IMG_0104BJ then ran me back to the flat with the articles. He even dropped me off in Sherwood so i could have a look to see if the sue Ryder shop had any suitable beds in yet. BJ was tired himself by now and went to get something to eat from the cafe while I visited the shops – I got  a high handle brush and dustpan i thought would make life easier.

We got back to the flat and what-a-performance struggling to get all the stuff in the complex then the lifts (with BJ me and the bags we filled the lift) and into the flat.

IMG_0103There was no way of stopping BJ, who despite being weary himself, once he saw the mess I’d made of erecting the canvas cupboard thing in the bedroom – he set about correcting and putting it right for me.

As he huffed and puffed, I felt guilty again and aware of the help BJ and Duncan have given me.

IMG_0102After what seemed an age, here is what the thing looked like.

BJ then raised the top of one of the clothe racks (Top photo right), so I could hang me dressing gowns and longer stuff up when I eventually get things sorted and a bed. As long as  don’t put heavy stuff on it, it looks good enough fer me.

Made BJ a much needed cuppa, and he went on the balcony for a fag and phone someone.

While BJ was doing this I had to tend to ‘Little Inch’ in the bathroom. Lost a lot of blood and the haemorrhoids were leaking a bit too. The back was so painful, and I had a dizzy spell while sorting missen out. The knees were bad and I generally felt a bit run-down with it.

BJ said he might have an hour tomorrow to help again! at the old place. I felt humbled at his and Duncan’s good nature.

IMG_0105I walked down with his to his car and saw him off, inadequately thanking him again.

Back up to the flat and looked at all the stuff BJ and Dunc had made possible. Amazing.

Kettle and nosh on – tried out me new brush andpan thingy. It certainly saves on the bending – thus the back and knee pain!

IMG_0106So tired and drained. And I promised Patti and Angel I’d try to take it easier? But I have to accept graciously any help I can get. Tsk!

I finished making me nosh:

A few new potatoes left over from yesterday, a mini pork and pickle pork-pie, mushroom pate, Wieska, raw pod-peas, beetroot, mini sausages and me speciality- Instant mash with dollops of cheese mixed in – then roasted till singed in’t oven. On reflection, doing this diary in the morning after like, I’ll give this one 8.8/10.

Could do no more after eating this – well I washed the pots up – took me medications and just got me head down.
