DIARY

01:00hrs: Started making the template and graphics to make this blog with. galore were made over the next two hours.
was in full Incapacitating-Mode! Using her mighty Memory-Muddling skills.
were guaranteed by the danged , in turn, brought on by Pete. Some bad mistakes and damage were made, needing a lot of putting right, by just two most ill-timed attacks from . How I managed to clear the fault caused in Word (Being used for the Ode) and get it working again was nothing short of a miracle. For I had no idea what I was doing. Phew!

Around 05:00hrs, I went to put the kettle on to brew my first mug of Glengettie tea. Then decided to get them sorted out.
Another pleasant set of return figures this Saturday.
SYS 138, DIA 68. The Pulse, I could not read, with these eyes, 70-something I think it was.
Whereinsoever, the resulting graph showed me well down into the Amber, yet again. I’m doing well on these lately, am I not?
Just in case I misread some of the numbers on the terrible smudgy photo I took of the still working Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China
Put the kettle on, and I needed to go off to the wet room again.
Another tough one to get moving, keep moving, then tough to stop moving – though to stop; because the came in. The smell in the wet room was crude and chronic; well, it would be. Everything was so freshly delivered, Hahaha!
I got finished, bleeding again from the rear end. Three times in a row now. I sprayed some freshener around the room so it didn’t filter into where Carer Sam was. She got the medications sorted and given. a mini-natter gave her chocolate from the fridge as a thank you, and she took the waste bag with her to the chute for me. Thanks, Sam.

On with the blogging again.WordPress is not letting me into the comments drop-down list. So I had to get at in a roundabout way through the My Site link. That’s not working either. So, had to go on the comments side link. Not ideal with my eyesight; so easy to misread them or get the wrong one… !

But Mr Fatigue visited, so I had to stop and try to catch up with some Sweet Morpheus time. But guess what convinced me to do so?

: for an hour or so. Then I got back onto the computer and swiftly nodded off again.
Not a snooze this time, but fully-blown snoring and waking myself up with a jerk repeatedly session. how the hell I stayed on the little swivel chair? Especially with the rampant being the cause of so many jump-awake episodes!
I feared I might have missed the Amazon delivery. (Only some socks). So thought I’d better check on the intercom – it was showing 8 missed calls! Which convinced me I must have missed him.
I went to look out of the door in case he might have left them there, but no.

I made an early meal and, at last, created a decent tasting one. I cooked some vegetables in the oven and made some gravy with them. Put them in a plastic tray. And made up[ some instant potatoes, Inchcock style: Liquid salt, mock-bacon bits, and cheese all bashed up together. Put the tray in the microwave oven for 20 seconds. Added some of my favourite smoked BBQ sauce, and I tucked into it. Made a little too much mash but still ate it all slowly! Flavour Rating: 7.8/10! Washed what few things needed it, had a wee-wee, belched and savoured the flavour that came up with the wind. Hehehe!

NokiaI got back to the computer, amazingly still tired, and got a call on my Nokia 9 Pureview Mobile, with its Android (Pie) updatability, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Octa-Core Gold CPU, 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps, HDR video, USB Type-C 3.1, %x12 MP. 28mm Camera, Bluetooth, A-GPS, Fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, Li-Po 3320 mAh, non-removable, fast charging 18W, Quick Charge 3.0, USB Power Delivery. Fast wireless charging 10W – Qi Battery.

It was Jenny calling to tell me she had left some tomatoes for me outside the door. She was suffering from back pain again. So I said thank you for the tomatoes, and I will drop some painkillers off for her. I hastened down with some good pain-relief tablets and handed them to her. A lovely pair, Jenny and Frank. I do hope they can ease her suffering a little. ♥

Back down and put the Jenny donated tomatoes in a cool cupboard. By gum, they look good.

Back onto the computer. Straight away, I was visited by none other than .
Despite her best attentions, I fell asleep again! Another hour lost. Waking up with the usual jump and in need of a wee-wee, I found the bucket rather full.
So, I took the bucket to be emptied and sanitised. And to use the Porcelain for passing the wee-wee.
I must have been within 3-ft of the intercom when it flashed.
It was the Amazon man with the socks. He was in and up in no time, a smile on his face, too!
So I offered him a choice of treats in thanks; from the radiator top.
He opted for the Tango orange drink.

Sarah arrived. In a good mood tonight. As she came in, she noticed my Tork hanging on the pegs in the hallway. She whipped out her mobile and took a selfie while wearing the hat. Hahaha! Got the tablets sorted, still didn’t remind me of I needed any Peptac or Pain Gelling. Then again, only Carer Richard asks that. Nice gal, Sam (If I’ve got the right name?) She took the waste bags with her as she left. ♥

Finally, I got back on the computer. WordPress had not forwarded the answers to the comments that I made yesterday. More time lost.
I went to see if any sunsetting photos could be seen from the kitchenette window. I hadn’t realised how time had passed; it was dark and dank out there.

Photographicalisation No. 1:
Not one that would normally get posted here on the Inchcock Today blog. Wasn’t it awful!
Photographicalisation No. 1: Ah, yes, that’s a bit betterer. There were no , or shakes as far I could tell, that could be blamed for the first disaster of a picture? Not that the second one is a very good mind.

I visited the WordPress Reader section next: it let me get into it this time.
Got this blog finished and posted off.

‘PRE-TITIVATED’
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

This diary is light in content; sorry about this.
Another busy day of hit and miss,

Busy, busy, and I kept falling asleep,
Jilly calling on me cheered me up a heap!
I need to take the advice of Little Bo-peep!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Up at 06:00hrs, after good doc & mind demanded sleep. (4Hrs)
Blood Pressure checked, sphygmomanometerisationing.
The SYS 147, DIA 76, Pulse 81, the pulse was up a bit at last. The body temperature was just fine at 34.0°c. Then I put the figures into the monitoring site, not the NHS this time, to see how they came out.

It was in pink and out of red, which was pleasing to see.

Needed a belated wee-wee; they started late today. No idea what that means or why I mentioned it, really. No urgency about it, though. I took the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) to be emptied, cleaned and sanitised. En route, the need for the became apparent. I think Trotsky Terence is losing his grip on control of the evacuations a little. Much bleeding from , which have not bled for a week or more. Cleaned the bucket and WC and decided to get the task of the done.
A few cuts shaving and the gums bled a bit doing the teeth. I’ve lost more blood today ablutionalisationing than for many a month. I wonder if the Warfarin level has gone up? Anyway, no pains with it.
In the shower, I got a bigger shock! Harold’s Haemorrhoids were pouring out the blood, down my legs, frit me to death nearly, at first! Not being able to see it properly with the and the shower running, it looked worse than it was. I was amazed that the Germoloid cream had not stopped its flow. After showering, I got the spyglass and checked on the Germoloid tube… Boing! I’d been putting on Germolene by mistake. Not only that, after a good ferret around, I found I had no Germoloid cream at all left! Must order some more ASAP. (Of course, I forgot all about doing it!)
Dried off and fully (nearly) medicated, and with fresh clothes and PP’s on, I found myself back in the recliner and fast asleep, with the computer left on sleep mode, and when I was woken up an hour or so later, when arrived, I was out of it. Can’t remember much about his visit at all, just odd bits, but they are blurry.
I’m not surprised. I think I was up for 22 hours on the trot, no wonder I was heavy-eye-lidded. After Richard had gone, I sank back into a deep sleep again!

The landline burst forth and flashed! I could have cried! Hehehe! Half-asleep still, I rose from the c1698 recliner, , but got to ut before they rang off. It was the kind-sounding lady from the Easylink transport to confirm she will be here in the morning at 10:20hrs and the return time and destination. I thanked her very much for taking the bother to let me know and how I appreciated it.
The Toe-Stubbing turned out to be a serious one, I’d hit the tow that the chiropodist had cut on my last visit, and now that was bleeding – made a bleeding mess of my slippers as well. Tsk!
It took me yonks to get it cleaned up; toes are not easy to reach nowadays. Haha!
Of course, I’d still not started on the blog yet, and it is nearing midday already!
Virg DownDespite all the ailments and bleeding, it felt good that and had eased off after two or three days of agony giving between them.
So it’s not all bad,
and He did it again!

I tried to work out how many times this overpaid, money-making, incapable,  supercilious did I say overpaid? number-crunching, customer-hating, prestidigitation, legerdemain,  and clever illusion-giver that he knows anything at all about running an internet company; Fries, boss of Liberty-Global (Worth around US$ 14.86 billion)  and Virgin Media, has gone down in the last two days. Eight, at the least. Just thought I’d mention, like.

The sun was coming around to face the flats. I took this picture in sunset mode with the new to me but old Panasonic-Lumix camera. Not very good, was it?
After this, the mind-blanks came as I started to feel tired, and much of the afternoon was lost to me. The few photos I’d taken helped trigger the memory a tad.
The evening carer arrived; Sam, I think her name was. We had a little chinwag after taking the medications. She chose a can of Tango for the thank you treat and took the waste bag with her as she departed.
I was doing the blogging after she’d gone, and I went to get a cold drink from the fridge.

I‘m so glad I did. As you can see in the top picture, the sun was barely visible on the horizon; I hastily got the Lumix camera, took this one, and then I zoomed in to get a close-up of the tiny bit of sun still showing.
Not a bad effort for me, I thought.
I’ll not mention that I had to take seven shots to get one that was usable. Haha!
I got back into computing; it was a hard slog. It always is, just lately. when the eyelids start dropping, concentration fails me, and the usual tiredness-prompted ailments start kicking off. Making the job no pleasure at all. and I’m sad to say, began to stab away at me.
Nowhere near completed the blog yet, so I’ll abandon it and hope and pray I get time to finish it in the morning. It’ll test my concentration then, having to sort out times and needs for the Diabetes session. Got to be done; I just hope I do better at it than the last time.
Back in a few hours… I hope.

Tempted to sing, ♫ Food Glorious Food! ♫. But it wasn’t so good after all. The veggie pasty was not nice at all. I shan’t be getting those ones again.

Overall Taste Rating: 3.5/10.

06:25hrs: ♫Morning has broken…♫ It needn’t have bothered me. I’m not up to it today. Woke up with an automated-instant-depression hanging over me – EQ telling me things were not going to go well: unfortunately, he is usually right in his warnings of doom, failure and frustrations forecasting!
Got the done, again in auto mode: for worries from nowhere were developing of the days prospects. Hope I’m wrong!
Still, the SYS 128. DIA 66 and Pulse were at 70 bpm, and a body temperature of 33.3°f was not to be sniffed at. The best set of results for six weeks or so! Grrreat!

Tackled next, as I was finishing, the door chime burst into life; I heard it because I’d left the wet room door open.

I realised at the ♫ Oh Susana ♫ played that I had not unlocked the door. Luckily I’d just got the trews on, so was semi-decent to go and admit the Carer.
A new to me gal pointed out my head, chin, and neck were bleeding. I thought the shaving had gone well, but. The gal got some paper towels and dried up the nicks for me. She’d tried to get in the key box but could not. The gal is not on her own. About eight other carers have had similar problems.
Being Friday, they are still charging me for doing the laundry (Wonder if Fries owns Meridian? Haha! So being as I’m paying for it, I chatted away with the gal.
Unfortunately, after asking her what her name was – twice, I did not write it down straight away. Thanks to you, Doreen Dementia! However, I am pretty sure that maybe her name was Joanne or Josie. Jeanie? Perhaps. A nice gal who took the waste bags with her.

I got on the computer to update this as soon as possible and get it sent off to WordPress. Then get ready the things needed for the Diabetes Session.

TTFNski!

Political Cartoon of the Day

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

05:00hrs: I stirred into mock life. As I moved my legs in preparation for getting to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and found that the ankles and lower legs were stinging away.
New veins coming through, two papules I’ve not noticed before as well. Still, once I rubbed in some of the pain gel and took a Codeine, things very soon started feeling much easier.
This first wee-wee was of the PSSU (Persistent, Short, Sharp, Uncomfortable) mode. In fact, every other one was up until about 17:00hrs. So no or to bother with like yesterday.
I got out the Boot’s Sphygmomanometer Blood Pressure machine. And took the pressure. I was well pleased with this set of figures again. one. SYS 135, DIA 68 and the pulse rate at 31 bpm.
The body temperature was down a little, but no worries.
Put the figures into the website and got this graph that I toyed with to decorate it with a CorelDraw-made graphic of yours truly. Hehehe!

Then I got carried away with making some tabs to use in this colour. Which is R 99 – Green 0 – Blue 75 on the RGB scale.
Took me far too long, but being a Saturday, one usually gets interrupted less often. I may regret saying that… just a feeling.

An hour or so later, it dawned on me that the morning care had not been yet. Or was it a new Carer that didn’t know about the door chime? Not long after, Samantha arrived, apologising for being a little late. Sam granted me a little chinwag this morning, but not a lot! Hehe!.

Later, I realised I’d taken a morning photo and not put it on the blog.
So here it is. I took it with the old Fuji camera; this is the size and shape I wanted to change the Lumix too. It’s just too baffling for me to understand. I went on the net and searched – followed the instructions, but nothing came up as they said it would. So I took this photo with the Fuji as well.
I can’t win very often, can I? Still, they came out alright for a 1975 4xA4 battery-powered camera. It’s the one that Carer Richard gave me. Bless him.

Got on with updating and posting the Friday blog off to WordPress.
Then had a look at what was available for some nosh. I think I’ve got an order coming tomorrow, Iceland.
The rather tough-looking bean-pastie and some potatoes left over from yesterday. A can of curried beans and a cob to heat in the oven.
Hello, I heard a noise in the hallway area – Dang dang, dang-dang!

Ah, it’s the DVD Quatermass Two DVD being delivered. A real oldie, now I can watch it while eating the meal.

What a mess I made of the simple job of opening the wrapping. I cut my finger on the edge of the plastic box, dropped the DVD, trod on it and felt the plastic splitting! The glasses fell off of the face bending down to retrieve them! What next, I thought? I’ll tell you… I rescued the DVD from the split shards of plastic. Cutting the same finger again! Down the nail this time. Variety is the spice of life?
Putting the disk into the ancient but still working DVD player, who interfered, but The DVD ended up on the floor, via The TV stand, swivel chair, bounced off and rolled along the floor underneath the Carers new table, went right back as far as it could, and settled!
I got the long picker-upperer and retrieved the absconder DVD. Will it be damaged? Will it work? I returned to attempt to get it into the player once again…
Stubbing my toe on the ottoman en route.

I then remembered the food in the saucepans and oven cooking! I hastened into the kitchenette to check on things. The potatoes were bubbling away, and the water had evaporated, so only half of the spuds were being cooked. I tried one, rock-hard on one side, soft as much on the other! The baked beans seemed to have faired better, not burnt yet.
I got the oven glove on, and I opened the oven door – standing back to avoid the extruding heat from hitting my face. But, there was no heat escaping! I’d not turned the oven on! So, no worries about having a burnt baked-bean pastie, then. Hehe!

Finally, I got the meal served up. I put the cheese pastie underneath the beans, a messy-to-eat meal, but it looked appetising enough to me. Even the potatoes appealed.
How wrong can a man be?
It was an absolute disaster! The potatoes were tasteless, lumpy even bitter tasting!
The curried beans were far too strongly flavoured. As for the cheese pastie, I don’t know what I did, but it tasted foul! Thought about it later; it may have been out of date? But I can’t read the sell and use-by-dates on much of the food I buy. to blame!
Flavour Rating: 2/10. Spit! I forgot all about the DVD to watch. I was concentrating on not being sick and the worryingly growing stomach pains. Haha!

I fell asleep, a deep sleep, and was woken up by the , Shannon I think her name was, waking me up from behind the recliner. I’ve no idea if she pressed the door chime; I heard nothing if she did. She soon had me sorted, and we managed a mini-natter. Took her choice of nibbles and or drinkies, and I went to the door with her to lock it.

I took these photos with the Lumix from the TV screen.

Then, decided to watch the Quatermass 2 DVD!
It was most similar to the TV series. Very few, if any, improvements to the script or plot were made. Another thing they did the same is they used Hillman Humber cars throughout.
Even a rare Super Humber Estate.
I loved watching the transport in London.
I think this wagon was a 1961 Dennis Pax flatbed. Of course, I could be wrong; I often am, very often. But I get used to this; it’s even worse nowadays with .
Sid James’ first appearance in the film. Going into a police station.
By gum, he looked young. Sid James was a bit like John Wayne; they both acted in the same way, more or less as themselves, not the character they were supposed to be playing. Which was okay with me. They both have distinctive personalities.

I took this snap of the kitchen view of the evening skies using the old Fuji camera. I still can’t get the Lumix to change photo shapes or sizes. Someone may read this (or not) and show mercy and help me sort the Lumix out.

Then onto finalising this post and getting it sent off to WordPress. This was not finished until 00:55hrs!

Friday 26th August 2022

Opening Political Cartoon
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I woke up and was on my way to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) within 30-seconds of stirring back into ersatz life! With managing to almost fall out of the ÂŁ300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner last night. I don’t know how I didn’t lose contact with the Amazon-bought, uncomfortable, plastic-peeling-off-of swivel chair! Hahaha! Yes, I’d fallen asleep at the computer!

The wee-wee was of the variety of UTD (Unwilling-Trickling-Dribbling) and CM (Cessational-Micturitional dribbling). The after-dribble after the initial wee-wee, possibly tool three times longer!
As I turned back with the bucket to be emptied held in my hands, I stubbed my toe against the ottoman! My reaction to saving the bucket from being dropped; was nothing short of a miracle. I dropped it, but not from a great height, and the liquid stayed in the bucket. Naturally, as the pain shot up the leg to the brain, I merely laughed it off. No cursing whatsoever.

I got the bucket emptied, sanitised and disinfected, and got on with the task of sphygmomanometerisationing.
I was jolly-well pleased with the Blood

Pressure figures. I put them in the medical site’s programme and returned this descriptive graph. I remembered that the Riverside Diabetes meeting for today had been cancelled as I was doing the readings.
I added my graphics to it in the name of entertainment… and because I love making them for a bit of fun.
After four days in the red zone, one day nearly of-off the graph: Things seem much improved today. Back in the amber area, that’s where I like it to be as well. Although two years ago, I had one day in the green Zone. Yes! That’s been my target ever since! If I live long enough, I might achieve this.

Aha! My spirits rose enormously! This morning’s Carer was Carol-Anne! Not seen her for months, many months. I thought she’d left to be honest.
What a precious gal. I had to give her a kiss and cuddle on her arrival. Carole didn’t mind, bless her. She spoke of the extra hour on Fridays, not having been since it was so-called arranged. I explained: It was initially for the Carer to do the laundry. But sometimes the laundry would come back not dried, and the clothing wrinkly. Also, I had not had socks, bobble hats, and shirts returned. Conversely, I have made a hand towel, tea towel, and pair of ladies’ knickers. I’m still paying for the hour, even though I’m paying Esther to do the laundry. She does a good job, and Esther hangs up the trews and shirts for me. Also as well as and besides that, she sews missing buttons on for me. Carol and I had an excellent nattering session, mostly me bemoaning my plight with the Diabetes, PN and Doctors farce. As I was paying for the hour, she lent me an ear. Hehehe! She checked the dates on the stuff in the fridge for me, cheese and ready meal found out of date. She will talk with my Doctor for me when she gets back to work. Carol has a few days off, going with her Mum away for a while. Great! She had to rush off after the hour, another call to make.

I spent many hours on CorelDraw before getting onto the blogging. Most of it was accompanied by Herbert’s mechanical concert from above. Percussion and drums mostly, with an odd clunk, throw in for good measure.

It was well into the afternoon before I started the daily ode and cartoon-creating. But I love doing the blog. Sometimes my hoard of followers and fans comment on them, you know. Why, on one day, only last month, both of them did!

That took a while too. Better get summat to eat before the evening carer arrives. Now then, what’s in the fridge freezer to have? I shall investigate… hang on; I’ve got some potatoes already on the boil.

Hang on, I’ve got to get the Warfarin tablets cut. So, I will do that. All done!
I’ll get a meal of some sort sorted out. Potatoes, tomatoes, and pretend fish sticks, it looks like. Good job. I’ve got the JS order coming on Sunday. It’s looking bare in the fridge after throwing away the short and out-of-date food. Tsk!

I’ll have a rummage around to see what can be found. To make a decent meal… Doreen makes me feel a schlemiel!

Well, I managed to knock up a half-acceptable-looking plate of fodder.
Imitation fish sticks, crispy onions, tomatoes, gherkins and those terribly-tasteless so-called by J Sainsbury, new potatoes. The overall flavour score was 6.4/10. The tomatoes and pretend fish sticks were not bad.

Arrived late, into that it mattered to me. Two Carers, one presumably a trainee. I was in a half-daze from being rudely awakened (Haha!), so I cannot say who it was that came or what happened. I recall telling them to help themselves to a treat on the top of the bookcase. Then walking to the door with them to lock it and wishing them well.

After that, I got down in the recliner again and started to watch the end of the heartbeat programme. I and my nodding off again. I woke for a wee-wee with a mammoth amount of

Back to the TV, nodded off again, and woke for another wee-wee! With the regulation .

Fell asleep again and woke up with the Dirty Harry film being shown; it was just starting. I decided to try and enjoy viewing it and bugger the sleeping. Ah, I like Clint Eastwood films.

At least another ten or twelve times and had to have four more wee-wees.

Woke up with the film credits scrolling down the screen! Well, that was Farcical!

I was worn out by then.
One final wee-wee with , and off to the wet room to clean and freshen up. Changed into new PPs, of course.
Straight off into the land of nod when got down again.
Overnight, I had to force myself awake eight more times for a wee-wee! Each one was short and sharp. Thankfully there were no more leakages, seepages or in these ones.

What an Oddlimost day!

ENDING POLITICAL CARTOON

Thursday 25th august 2022 – Diary, Cartoons & Ode

Cartoon to start with a laugh!

I didn’t get up this morning because I was already up before midnight. Sweet Morpheus is not happy with me and is withholding his services. Hehe! The Swine! I spent a few hours finishing off the Wednesday blog and got it sent off.
Then the sphygmomanometerisationing had to be tackled. What happened with the Photographicalisationings I don’t know; the first one looks like a terribly bad effort! Well, it was! But, the BP results greatly improved over the last four days. Just look where the cross was placed this morning. ♫Way down♫ – as the Elvis song went! Hehe! I liked that later song of his. Poor Elvis, drugs and beefburgers got to him. Shame!

Right in the amber zone! I decorated the return graph in celebration of the miraculous drop in BP! I saw that the body temperature was way down, and it’s been so good lately. I can’t win them all!

Arrived A little earlier than usual. But the lad saw how tired and drained I was, straight away he picked up on it, and he asked what had happened. I told him about the no-sleep night. He proceeded to get the medications sorted, licked up his bag of treats, and said he was leaving early, so I could get back to bed to try again. So no nattering like yesterday, Tsk! Richard said as he left that he was going out for the day with his Sister, So that cheered me up a bit; he doesn’t get out much, good for him!

I got a landline call come in. It was a lady at the Riverside Centre about tomorrow’s Diabetes Defence lesson. The meeting has been cancelled because the room is not available. ? It’s been rearranged fro next Friday instead. I phoned ILC, Warden (Independent Living Coordinator), OberstgrĂĽppenfĂĽhreress and Lap-Top Dancer Deana, and she kindly rang the taxi transport to let them know. ♥

I took this using the Lumix camera, as the Canon no longer lets me take photos. I don’t know what I altered or the wrong selections I made when I pressed the go button; I got a beep-beep-beep, and a red icon flashed. Then the camera turns itself off. I’m in a pickle now as the eyes get steadily worse every day, even using the spyglass. Which is not a good idea! Cause if Cataract Cathy doesn’t get me, PN Pete does, and I’ve already dropped the new-‘old’ Lumix at least three times!

Oh, I forgot the photo of the legs I took earlier. Not a pretty sight. But, then again, they’ve been worse, so they’ll do. At least they were not stinging or hurting much at all.

Made a start on this template at long last. And heard that off unrecognisable noise was back again. Sounds like it’s coming from above. It sounds like a motor running, whining. Still, it won’t stop my sleeping… Sweet Morpheus had done an excellent job of that already. Then, made up this Ode. It took a while.

Odes to Sweet Morpheus…

Blimus! It’s nearly 17:00hrs – What happened to the day? I think maybe I fell asleep in the computer chair. I certainly hope I didn’t have another Mind-Blank. Oh, dearie me! The day’s done for me now. Weird or what?

I’ll get a meal made then. Humph! The evening Carer is due soon.
I took what I thought was a great photo of the meal on the serving tray. But, yet again this time on the Lumix, the photo is displayed on the viewer window. But in the morning when I got to put the pictures on the computer, this one and two others had disappeared into the either? All a part of the mysteries and enigmas of Woodthorpe Court! The ghosts, wraiths, spectres, cacodemons, apparitions and other grotesqueries haunt the hallways and lobbies, searching for me to create ambiguities, abstrucities, perplexities, misfortunes and botherations, to scare, worry and baffle me!

Jozeph arrived. Mentioned that I looked shattered, and that cheered me up; Hehehe! He was right, of course. Jozeph sorted the medications and was soon off, kindly leaving me to get some sleep.
I stripped off and got the TV back on to watch a Heartbeat episode. As soon as I felt the eyelids drooping, I turned off the box. And blissfully sank into a welcome deep sleep, Ah!

Greatly annoying but unavoidable; over the next hour or so, I had to get up at least ten times for a wee-wee! Every one of them was of the SSSSAO (Short-Sharp-Sprinkly-Spraying-All-Over) variety. With varying degrees of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling): so cleaning and sanitising were needed on most visits. I was getting somewhat agitated with all the interruptions. And hoped that things would settle soon in the bladder department soon.
After getting resettled in the second-hand, ÂŁ300 charity shop bought, gungy beige coloured, rickety, c1968 recliner for about the tenth time, the wee-weeing suddenly stopped. Astounding!
GC sleepAI drifted off into a deep but dream-filled sleep. No specifics about the dreams… but I think I was enjoying them, though. Then…

I woke up due to the pain from Harold’s Haemorrhoids. As my bum hit the edges of the recliner as my body mass was slipping off the recliner!
I managed to stop the humungously overweight clump of a body from leaving the seat fully, But the rear end bleeding was soon apparent. So, up I struggled but made my way to the wet room for cleaning and medicationalisationing of poor Harold’s Haemorrhoids. During this, I did my best to remember the dream again. But no luck. I’d love to have known what I was doing in the sleep that was physical enough to have me out of the recliner? I got my lower rear region cleaned and medicated. Realising I’d lost any chance of getting back to sleep, I decided to stay up. Went to make a brew of Thompson Punjana tea and took this very strange time in the morning photo of the sky from the kitchenette window. Bootiful!

And I got the computer started. A lot of catching up and amending to get done this morning.

I woke up around 04:00hrs; Sat sitting on the computer chair, which is where I’d been sleeping! Ha!

Odeing & Mini Diary

That’s the Ode, folks!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Photographicalisations were taken Friday & Saturday.

Sorry about this, but with all the struggling to see proper and sort them out, CorelDraw crashed twice, had to reload from disc, and I now have three SD cards, which in an effort to sort out, I’ve not the foggiest of which camera that came from, or went back into. So frustrating. I’ve got to get CorelDraw sorted out yet… if I can. After ten hours with all the delays, doing the ode and graphics, all I want to do is get something to eat and get my head down… Oh, the Carer’s due anytime now!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

The photos are a mess, not good and mixed chronologically. (Sounds painful that… Hehe) I’ve had all sorts of bother again. Nine hours of just making the Ode! CorelDraw has gone down twice, Virgin once. Word once. Computer once. And, after all that time getting the Odes done, I had to sort out CorelDraw to get it working again… blind try this, try that methodology used. And I’ve the new (old) Lumix camera to try to sort again. The SD cards… Well, I got confused about which camera they came from and which they went back into. But the pictures have to be put on here, not that they are exciting or even passable.

I’ve just about had enough. I think the diary will have to go and stick with Odeing, what do you think? With the eyes and Doreen, and my luck with anything like cameras and computers, it’s just taking all day, and I love doing it, but something has to go to save precious time. Anyway, here are the pictures, but from when… Mmm! Sorry. Some, like Fridays, I think, are the first ones. They are a sad collection; why am I bothering?

This is Carer Joseph. Who couldn’t help with the Lumix, Fuji or Canon (I think that’s had it) cameras, computer, or CorelDraw? Which, of course, is the same with very Carer, and indeed me too. Hahaha! Nice lad, Joseph, if only he’d take a course in Computers, cameras and… Haha!

Ah, Risotto, I got this out, and Carer Sam, with difficulty, read a wrote down the cooking instructions for mem Bless her. Ah, that was this morning! I’m sure it was. On the right, so,e extra mushroom I was cooking to go into the Risotto. Yes, I actually thought I’d get it cooked! That would be about twelve hours ago now.

No memory of taking this one?

Then again, I have a lot of lost memories. Make note, whippersnappers, this may happen to you if Doreen Dementia arrives in your later years. I think I made with graphic of the Lumix last night. I seem to recall making up a gritting sarcastic to self Ode to put on here with the photo. I’ve no idea what I did with it now. Well, apart from a few shots from the kitchenette window taken today, that’s yer lot!

I got the Fuji working again early this morning. Judging by the shape of the photos, I took some of these on it. The later ones, I think, were done on the Lumix; I was trying to use the Panasonic option, a foolish waste of time, my unsteadiness of the hands and fingers should have told me not to bother. But Doreen Dementia wasn’t having anything workable to happen to me, naturally! Here are the crap shots from throughout the day that I seem to have taken.

Morning?

Lumix Afternoon? Lumix Evening – Trying Panasonic – no-go!

Fed-up, going to get the Risotto made.

Disappointed with the Risotto

All that bother to get it right too! The note Samantha did for me did not say if the 600ml of water needed to be boiled before or after putting the contents of the packet in the saucepan.

I had a hell of a job translating it from the packet. I had to use the little circle on the magnifying glass but could only see one or two words at a time. Brought the pack to the computer, put the one or two words into the Google translator, back to the glass repeatedly. It took me ages, but the magic words were eventually showing; boiling water… stir continuously.

It turned out very bland. And I’d added the last few garden peas and extra mushrooms as well. Shan’t bother with that brand again.

Canon then the Fuji Camera gave up on me! Grrr!

DISASTER!
The Canon, then the old Fuji, gave up the ghost on me! Cragknangles!
———————————–

Eventually, I got yesterday photo’s saved. Obviously, before the cameras joined forces to really piss me off!

I’ve got all uptight and am no longer which are for Thursday or Friday. Well, the first one is Thursday.

Somewhat bloated, methinks. So much so that the pressure forced the blood out when I had my first toe-stumping of the day.

Car Park from the kitchenette window.

Ah, Thursday’s nosh.

Followed by some Ice cream!

Many taken, as this morning, many of them lost into the ether!

Friday Morning, my feet are not so bad now!

Morning views

Fridays Health Checks
Up a bit?

Unsure about this one.
The Iceland delivery came, but no photos were attainable; they were not saved on the card or internal memory. Well miffed!
Spent hours trying different things in hopes of getting some, but no luck.

Carer Richard came. Asked if he could help with the Fuji. Nope!

I’ve ordered an old Lumix Camera. Should be here twixt 23rd & 25th August. It’s new, but a very old one, I’m assuming that’s why it was cheaper than the others. I’m hoping I can cope with setting it up. Also, I’ve got the hearing aids that Lisa petal donated to me so kindly. But they are naturally small, and I cannot see the words with my glass eye either. I asked Richard if he could assist. Nope! Can’t blame him; he was yawning. He’s been at work for around eleven hours. Poor lad.

Spent hours and hours trying to get the camera’s going again. Humph! Of course, they should have Christened me; no luck! Then concentrated on taring to get some more photos rescued. I found a few more, but I am unsure when I took them.

Thursday?
No idea!
Might have put this on earlier and the lower one.
And again…
Of course, I could be wrong…
The carer read the label cooking instructions and wrote them down for me.
Artwork from a dear friend in America. Patti, from when I had the heart op ♥ Bless you, Patti!

Seaweed Snacks Delivered!
Friday fridge.
Crap Health Check Photo?
Evening Carer due any time now.
Gawd, I’m tired now.
The camera’s situation is no better, but…
I had one last go at the Fuji – and the new ‘Old’ Lumix was delivered early today! I got it out of the box and tried to get it on charge. There is a plug and computer cable thingy. I got it on the plug socked post haste to charge. I could not see alight lit up on the camera.
An hour or so later, I changed the set-up, and put the USB in the card reader, still couldn’t see the light on. Did some computing and had another look at the Lumix.
Well, what a pillock! Not really; the letters were too small for me to read; I asked Malcolm if I’d got it in the right hole – I hadn’t!

Swapped the plug into the little hole, and a little red light lit! So at least I know it’s charging. For the first job, when it’s up and running, set the date & time. Then select the picture size.
Going to get summat to eat now. Carers late? Or is it me?

ODE to another Failure

Hours of finding how to change the frame size… well, trying,
My willpower and hopes were dying,
I considered wailing and crying…
I’d had enough mind-boggling…
The small buttons were beyond seeing,
Tired from the mental schemozzling,
I gave up trying, and I turned to dithering,
I’d be better off grimacing and turning!

FED-UP, AGAIN!

Ode & Diary: Tuesday 16th August 2022 Cataract Investigation!

b———————————–

04:10hrs: I stirred and awaited the brain to do the same. It took me a while. And not easy either, for the cragwrankling Thought Storms attacked the near dormant brain.
I cringed when I realised they were off again. And did nothing… I just bided my time, doing my best to ignore them. I could have done with some men in white coats and some form of guidance councillor at that moment.
Half an hour or so later, the need for the Porcelain Throne rescued me from the clutches of the verbal put-downs. Despite their continuing to insult and malign me, the need to get to before anything started of its own accord if you see where I’m coming from.
Stubbing my toe en route was another benefit in clearing away the Thought Storm.
When I realised that things would be reluctant yet again, I grabbed the crossword book to take my mind off the thoughts. Which was a total failure, because my eyes are that bad now, I cannot see to read the clues any longer!
So, I concentrated my efforts on trying to force things along. I soon forgot all about the storming. As it happens, I also forgot all about using the porcelain Throne. The only thing that leaked out was a few droplets of blood. That’s comforting, knowing I’ve got to go through this agony and rigmarole again later.

I got the waste bags made up and placed them near the door. Returned to get the computer on and remembered the Ocado delivery was due shortly. So returned to the front door and moved the waste bags onto the three-wheel walker.
It’s been a bit of a bugger up to now. Humph!
Ah, something went right! The sphygmomanometerisationing revealed a rater super set of figures!
SYS 137, DIA 63, Pulse 81°f. Which brought the NHS check graph down into the Amber Zone. My b
ody temperature was all but spot on target, yet again, too! As I smiled to myself… I took a sharp intake of breath; and off to the wet room. Another false-alarm!
On both visits, and I was sitting down for ages each time, there was no wee-weeing. This has never happened before? So, I now have reluctant evacuations front and rear… Oh, dear! Four days ago, Trotsky Terence was in full charge, and Wee-Wee Willy was constantly flowing, often in torrents. I feel I need both bladder and bowels evacuating now…
What have I eaten that’s not my usual food? The only two things I can think of are that I bought tonic water due to the shortages last week in the heat wave of bottled water.

Ocado delivery arrived. Substituted bread and toilet rolls.
The bread I was not happy about. The lady said they had substituted Polish Sourbread with a ‘Plain’ loaf of sourdough. This is the ‘Plain’ Loaf. Malted Wheat, great lumps of something in it
. Grains, seeds, quinoa, and rock solid cost twice as much as the Polish one! Some like granite. More a sort of sliced house brick than a loaf of bread.
Then the recycled toilet rolls were subbed with ‘Plain’ TPs. Which were triple-layered and not plain nor recycled.
At the time, I took one out to have a look. Far too thick, like me.
I think you can see the squashed, crushed state of the Strawberry cakes in the link box.
The Milk Roll loaf, with (Richard pointed out later) one day’s life left on it!
Also, the mushroom pie was replaced with a Chestnut, mushroom, tomato, quinoa & baby onions topless pie.
Later, the ‘new’ vegan burgers that I later quinoa-filled, tasteless crap! Foul, .
The fridge was looking a bit healthier food-wise.

Arrived late on, and he’s had extra calls to make. Managed a little natter and laughed, but not much. He took the bags out for me when he departed.

I started updating the blog. Which went some like: ‘Wrong key’, misspelling, ‘Wrong key’, forgot the word, ‘The wrong key’, shakes hit tons of keys, ‘Wrong key’, the sight making things so slow, Wee-wee, ‘Wrong key’, ‘Wrong key’, ‘Wrong key’, Wee-wee, lost word, misspelling, ‘Wrong key’, ‘Wee-wee’,,,  and eventually IO had to give up for a break.

Made an order for Iceland for Friday for 08:00>10:00hrs delivery. Put it in the calendar.

Out of the blue, unexpectedly quickly, I felt so tired and drained. I just had to stop, and I had a sit down to unwind and hopefully get a bit of kip. My new Nokia N73 5G mobile phone chirped and flashed. It was ObergruppenfhĂĽreress and Lap-Top Dancer Julie. To tell me that Carol, who is standing in for the frightening laundress lady Esther, who is on holiday for three weeks in Africa, will not be calling today, as she has to wait in for a plumber, can she come tomorrow instead. “No problem; I hope she gets it sorted”.

I got down in the recliner a fell asleep fast than I have for many a month, Fair enough, it was only for two very welcome hours, and I woke with a pang of hunger, so has a look at the food selection in stock.
The Biona Black bean Cashew burgers caught my eye. I decided to cook two of them and eat them both in between two slices of Milk Roll Loaf bread. Some raw garden peas and BBQ sauce for a dip!

Well pleased with my decision, I got the spy-glass out to read the cooking instructions.

Well, a lot of help they were. “Cook in a pan until they are brown!” They were brown now! The oven was already at 200°, so I put them in, and ten minutes later, they were burnt! Unless I’d had another mind-blank?
The burgers fell apart, and whatever seeds were hurtful to my teeth. They seemed well-cooked in such a short time and will not find room in my little flat again! Terrible Thought: I’ve got two more yet in the fridge... The peas were beautiful, the broken, crushed cake made a mess when I ate them, but they still tasted alright. 4/10 Flavour rating.

I found a letter in the postbox. It was a copy og information forwarded to my Doctor… Oh, what’s her name now… erm… I think she’s a she; I’ve not seen her for years. Good innit, Peripheral Neuropath, Duodenal ulcer, Anne Gyna, Reflux Roger, Cataracts Cathy, Saccades, Glaucoma Glenis, Dying Neurotransmitters Nigel, and Diabetes; I may have missed some off this list, so many ailments. And my Doctor has spoken to me on the phone three times in as many years! Twice at the surgery.
I’ll have to find the time to see what all the words mean in the letter. Such as Astigmatic, pinhole, Toric lens, viscote, & decompensation.

I’ve just been for another failed visit to the and saw how the flaming feet had blown up again. Huh, Gragknagles! They’re stinging a bit as well. This morning the water retention I thought was going down so well. The ankle ulcers are both calm, though. Underfoot is tender than ever.
I’ve been very good with cutting down the caffeine; I haven’t had a single mug of tea all day!
I noticed we’d had a bit of rain today.
Val arrived in a quiet mood. Got the meds done in record time. I asked her if she would like the Sourdough bread that was delivered this morning. She pondered and then said yes. Helped herself to several treats; she nearly filled the bag. Hehehe! Took the waste bag with her to the chute.

Produced a late-night mechanical concert for me. Finishing with a worthy thud.

I went into Sherlock Holmesian Mode: I put the computer back on and asked Mr Google: Why is mannitol given in cataract surgery?
Replied: Abstract. 100 ml of 20% Mannitol is given between 30 and 60 minutes prior to surgery, effectively lowering the intraocular pressure and increasing the anterior chamber depth. Ah, I expected as much.

What is Astigmatic vision?

Astigmatism occurs when either the front surface of the eye (cornea) or the lens inside the eye has mismatched curves. Instead of having one curve like a round ball, the surface is egg-shaped. This causes blurred vision at all distances. You might have astigmatism in one or both eyes. It’s often accompanied by other refractive errors like myopia (nearsightedness). Myopia is caused by an eye shape that’s too long — if the eye is misshapen, chances are good the cornea is too. Well, that’s plain enough.

What is a Toric Lens?
Toric lens implants are one of the most popular technologies for cataract patients with astigmatism. They are designed to improve how well you see without eyeglasses in the distance, as compared to if you had a standard lens implant. Too tired for further concentrating. Glad I did some research into what the words meant. I’m much wiser now.

I got my head down in the second-hand, ÂŁ300 charity shop-bought, gungy beige-coloured, rickety, c1968 recliner. At some time, I must have got up cause I found this moonshot in the morning. I can take better photos when I’m asleep, it seems. Hahaha!

A magnificent sleep! Six hours straight through! Unless I woke up to take the photo of the moon?

Evening all!

Inchcock Today Monday 15th August 2022 – With Ode

,

Independence Day for India & Pakistan 1947

Up all night again! Rose from the c1968 recliner went to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket). Then realised I didn’t need to be there. This was the first time in years that I had not wanted to pass water on waking! Oddly-most?
I knocked nearly everything off of the small ottoman!
This snap was taken after I returned the things onto the top and tray. Turned away and knocked off the two bottles with the walking stick. It could happen to anyone…

I then spent over four hours completing the template for this blog and updating Sundays. Finally got Sunday’s poor effort completed. I posted but had to do so in shorthand. Everything was taking so long to do; time was running out. I’d lost the memory notepad anyway, so even if I had the time, I’d forgotten what had taken place. Good job; there were a few photos on the camera to assist.
Even making the WordPress comments took me well over an hour. And there are only three of them to do. I’m beginning to struggle to see now. Making tons of errors.

I utilised
the blue & white Boot’s Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, to take the blood pressure.
SYS 150, DIA 76 and Pulse 75.
My Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd™ contactless thermometer was used. With another near-perfect figure showing up. 34.8°f.
The NHS score came up as: ‘
Your blood pressure reading of 150/76 is high. You should check your blood pressure at a GP practice or pharmacy within the next week. I can’t say why, but I thought this reading would be nearer to the amber. Hey, Ho!

A short mechanical concerto from the flat above. A slow build-up using a drill mayhaps finishing with a clattering, then a shuddering clung. Almost musical.

Arrived a little later than usual. The poor lad had been working for over 14 hours. He was yawning a lot, poor lad. But gave me time to listen to my tale of the diabetes farce day at Bulwell.

I had a stand-up ablutionalisationing session. Some discomfort was involved, but nothing serious compared to the last agony of the Porcelain Throne activity!
❶ Teeth cleaning, these may become my latest ailments, I fear. So tender, teeth breaking up.
âť· The shaving had the usual view nicks, again nowt worrying about.
❸ The cleaning and medicating of rear-end stingers was not too bad,
âťą Both the cleaning and ointmenting of this touchy area were extremely painful. But they are each time.
âťş & combined to give me any shaking, but I avoided toe-stubbing, falls, or banging into anything… 🌟   🌟

The Porcelain Throne was needed as I washed nonchalantly, drying myself off. I was two paces away from me at the time, and I increased my cocky to Grade One. 🌟   🌟
Did I need to have rushed? No! Most painfully, I was still sitting there with what felt like a bazooka-sized shell, half-in and half-out! This caused to bleed profusely and necessitated more sanitising and ointmentasioning! – Treble ! Of course, it didn’t bother me.

Coming out into the hallway, the standoffish, smarmy slob from above gave me a short mechanical blast of noises as if to mock my pain. Has he put a CCTV in my flat? Hehehe!

I got back to the computer and started this blog going. Damned hard work with Doreen and Cataract Kathy both determined that I would not be able to cope with so many errors and cock-ups.
Indeed, they were successful in their mission, For after a few hours, my body and mind were drained. I bet I’ve missed no end of mistakes. Billum pointed some out from the other day. That one involved Arithmaphobic errors. I am struggling. Very frustrated. Would I be able to live without this blog? Ideally, I could leave it alone until after the cataract has been sorted, but… I don’t know.

I stopped and went to make the first brew of the day. Ah, a bag of seaweed crisps with the tea, and just sit and think things through. I intend to have a biscuit, no better not, something less stomach bulging…

Got the kettle on and got side-tracked by noises coming from outside,
I got the Canon and had a look to see if I could find what was making the now stopped din,
Of course, I couldn’t, so I went my get my long-range spectacles,
Could I find them?
No! Dementia Doreen again!
So, I returned to the kitchenette to make the tea. I’d not turned the kettle on.

Put a Quatermass DVD on. Grrreat! More blogging, but only for an hour or so, felt slightly rough, and I sat down in the recliner.
Woke up with the right foot slightly swollen and the right leg more prominent than the left (water retention).  I idly rewound the DVD. and watched some more of the movie. After six rewinds and nodding offs, I gave up and responded to the innards’ rumblings – off to the wet room.
This session was painful and bloody, just like yesterday’s – but, Hey-Ho!, less of both! 🌟   🌟

As I got back into the front room, I espied signs of Nibbling in my Sleep! Empty, and a partially-full packet of Leicester Cheese flavoured Mini-Cheddars, and a few crumbs. Some suspected of being from the Shiitake mushrooms and Seaweed crisps, but there were no signs of any empty bags.

Hello, Mr Snotty has started on a series of tap-tapping, mostly followed by a thud. Musical Genius, he is!

Got the computer on to update today’s blog, then started on the next News Snippets blog. Oh, look at the time! Where did it all go?

An unintentional little lie lays there above. I got a bout of ditheringisations, pondering and divagating… and changed my mind; (Doreen Dementia allows me to at times). And I ended up working on a new file of Ode words with different endings. For hours! Though I do enjoy it.

Some silly-time in the morning now, going to get some even more belated nosh now.

I poddled off to the fridge to see what choices were in there for a nosh… I think I may have a live-in, or burglar, helping themselves to the fodder. Where’s it all gone? Most likely, Doreen confusing me again.

Surely I’ve not eaten all that stuff? Or did I? All those sliced potatoes, I can only remember eating one of them?
As I opened the freezer, the memory triggered. A rare thing, you know! I take it all back! I gave some to the Carers, and one was out of date.
Got some nosh sorted and two new mushroom steaks, each eaten in a brown cob, with the last of the salad and some BBQ sauce.
The mushroom steaks were not a scratch on the No-Bull burgers. Which Iceland have replaced with these horrible tasteless turds.

Samantha arrived and gave me the medications. Didn’t want a treat; she was busy, bless her. Sarah took the waste bags to the bin on her way out for me.

I tried to watch the Widowmaker film on the telly. Fell asleep so many times it was farcical. So off with the TV, and I was soon in a deep sleep. A weird dream was enjoyed.

Inchcock Today: Sunday 7th August 2022 – Diary

———————————–

I woke in need of a wee-wee. Assessed the time I’d had sleeping; 3-hours… better than two!
While waiting for the after-leaking to stop, it took a while; I remembered the food delivery coming twixt 07:00>08:00hrs.
The feet and legs were looking just fine this morning. So good, I may advertise them as a pair of 1947 legs and feet for sale. Hehe!

So, I got the sphygmomanometerisationing tended to. Then, speedily got the body temperature taken before the sphygmomanometer turned itself off to catch both sets.
When I entered the results into the NHS DVT site, it would not let me put in 39 for the DIA, just told me that DIA has to be a minimum of 40. Please check your figures! So, I put 40 in to get a graph up. How frustrating to know that I must be dead with a 39 Reading. Of course, it didn’t bother me in the slightest.
At least I know that’s two of us old uns that is still alive. The arrogant, noisy snotty Herbert from above started a tap-tapping, clunk concerto. So he’s not snuffed it yet, either.
The view from the kitchenette window was so like an oil or water painting this morning. A Constable, mayhaps? Which reminds me, I’ve not seen a policeman on foot in Sherwood since January. No wonder crime has risen!
The intercom flashed, and it was the William Morrison order arriving. One of the most disappointing deliveries, other than Iceland’s, of course, that I’ve ever had. Here’s the sad, hardly believable story.
The men, through the goods into the two delivery boxes, naturally with cakes going in first, to be squashed by blah and water bottlers.
Got the things sorted and put away, but t’was not easy.

They had some of the Jacob’s Leicester Cheese cheddar biscuits. I bought four packets, as they are my favourites. Taking them out of the box. Do you notice only three on the counter?
Glad to report they have not substituted the Roast Vegetable Risotto, another of my personal favourites. That’s because one packet was torn open, and broken biscuits were all over the other food. I got them in a lidded tub and threw the other emancipated bits of bikkies into the waste bag.
Then, disappointed, they had swapped the vegan mushroom pate with a caramelised pork & onion version. Huh!. Still, Richard can have that in the morning.
The fridge looked mighty low in stocks, even after I’d got the fresh foods packed away!

The three packets of mini rolls were reduced to two; they were crushed but not as bad as the third packet, which had burst open, and I ended up washing off the sticky goo from other items delivered. By the time I’d sorted things out, I’d eaten a load of broken cheddar biscuits, a whole six mini rolls from the burst open and pre-mashed cakes. It all came back to why I stopped using Morrison direct and went to Amazon. But Morrison does not offer all their range when using Amazon, and when I read they had some Leicester flavoured cheddars, I just had to have some! Cragknangles! Sorry I bothered now!

MEAL-PREPPING: I spent the next few hours preparing Josie’s Chilli dinner. A bit of a mind-testing job… Why? I’ll tell yer!
â‘ : The Iceland mushrooms that still had two days in-date showing; had shrivelled and gone grey. Comically, they had a Guarantee of Freshness sticker on the pack! So I had to use canned ones, which threw out my timing to get other things to be ready simultaneously
.
②: Getting the potatoes done separately, as I usually do, so I can add some basil. I sliced them into Josie’s bite-size cubes and got a cut-down fingernail!

③: When I got the frozen leeks out of the freezer, attacked, I dropped the bag, and it burst on contact with the floor. I struggled to get things cleaned up, and Back-Pain-Brenda kicked in.
④: After much kerfuffling, sorting and swearing, I got the meal into one pan and on low heat to marinate.
⑤ By then, Guilt had set in when I realised all the cheddars and mini Swiss rolls I’d eaten while preparing Josie’s food.

Started blogging, at last. Not going too badly, and I went to check on Josie’s meal progress… I realised it was twenty-to-twelve already! I got the meal served up, cleaning up as I went along.
As I was lifting the finished tray… an epiphany! I noticed that the kitchen clock was showing 10:50hrs. Confused now! I nipped into the front room to check the watch time, and it concurred with the kitchen clock.
Had misread the wristwatch earlier. Oh, dear, what do I do now? I bravely took a gamble and delivered the meal to Josie’s door. Embarrassed beyond belief! I mumbled my pathetic Whoopsiedangleplop in getting the time wrong to Josie. I don’t think she was impressed. But she accepted the meal anyway. Like a guilty pet dog, I thanked her and scurried back into the flat. Red-faced and something of panic mode came over me.

Suddenly, I felt so tired, and a touch of Dizzy Dennis appeared. Waking up four hours later! Woken by the evening carer. I was not hungry, having digested the biscuits and cakes earlier, so I got myself down in the ÂŁ300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner.

Arrived. Gave me the tablets one at a time but missed off the Codeine. Luckily I was more with after the kip, and I noticed. No nibbles or drinkies accepted in thanks, and he did not take the waste bags to the bin for me… and I forgot to ask her to. Tsk! She seemed a little withdrawn, just tired, methinks.

I got on with the updating of this blog. Well, this is going to take some time. Luckily the most activity was me, sleeping. Hahaha! Got the post done eventually.

Over an hour or so of slogging away on the computer, I took these three pictures of the sunsetting from the kitchenette window.
I liked the last one.

The legs, feet, and ankles were slightly inflamed after days of calmness.

I think an ulcer is doing its best to erupt on the left ankle now. The right one looks and feels a bit raw, so I took off my trews. It’s hot tonight, and I’ve got the balcony doors wide open.

I had a bash at the Snippets blog; I might get it finished. Then again… (I didn’t, but I did it in the morning).
Made a simple nosh. Curried chips (fries), tomatoes and fresh raw garden peas. I’d found eight escaped peas at the last count (Monday morning). The highlight was the one I discovered in the wee-wee bucket…Haha! Beats me: the bucket was about five feet from the recliner where I shelled and ate the peas and meal!
The last photograph of the evening sky taken from the kitchenette window. Bootiful Nature!

With the nodding of this afternoon, sleep did not come very easily or quickly. It did eventually, belatedly putting the TV on, helped, I think. Soon as the adverts came on, I was off into the land of nod!

Yee, Haa!
